Essay on It s Time to Abolish Religion
Can a society exist emancipated from religion? Will its foundations decay due to the absence of
it, or will it flourish and achieve a new stratum of knowledge which will result in a peaceful co
existence? The word religion has its roots in the Latin word religare which means to bind together,
or to connect; on the contrary I argue religionhas been an apparatus of division, rather than
achieving collectivism, thus doing much more harm than good. History represents the bloody
warfare instigated and propagated in the name of religion; it is the antithesis of peace and unity.
Religion has imposed limitations upon development of knowledge; therefore hampering the growth
of humanfaculties, and narrowing the realm of free thinking men. Time... Show more content on

Individuals need to learn to recognize one another as members of only one family, and stop
applying the filters of culture, or religion to divide one another.
Karl Marx quoted religion is the opiate of masses. He believed the bourgeoisie class used religion
as a means to control and oppress the proletariat class; however, the governing system may have
evolved in the past years, the theory is still applicable to majority of societies today. Individuals
who occupy powerful positions within society often resort to using religion as means to subjugate
and oppress the people belonging to minority groups; the most transparent example is the birth of
caste system within the religious dogmas of Hinduism which is demonizing the Indian society still
today. Implementation of religion in social and political institutions is a method powerful people
use to legitimize their oppression, which creates further havoc upon the society; because it is no
longer administered by a neutral governing body, consequently it is serving the interests of few
powerful individuals, meanwhile ignoring the rest of the populace. The unbalance created by
religion continually disturbs all facets of society, be it political, or social sphere; the result is
ongoing tension among the inhabitants eventually leading to revolutionary mindset. The separation
of religion and state is an integral element in securing a society in which all are treated equally
under the law,

Persuasive Essay On Black Hate
In the same way, the Spelman College administration, faculty, and students that disregard the West
End community that surrounds the college only contribute to the erosion of our community and
our people. Although this is not a language of hate, it is a clear display of indifference which
communicates the same thing. Choosing to disregard the homeless, pay little attention to the
gentrification that is rampantly kicking our people out of our community, or ignore ways to provide
opportunities or exposure to the high school students in our own back yard; are we truly
activating black love as political resistance or are we ignoring the needs of the people that are
around us every day? We need to realize that there are two vehicles that drive the future of the
black community: one of black love and one of black hate. Realize that, although society drives
black hate we can be passengers in that car. We can disagree and reject their ideology, all the
while internalizing it. Even though we are not driving, our inability to articulate black love as
fluently as we articulate black hate, allows black hate to trump black love. Therefore, in our lives,
in our homes, in our communities, and on our HBCU campuses the darkness and degradation of
blackness thrives by separating us from our own people and making it seem normal to demean
ourselves, our race, and our people. Is this behavior not subtly mimicking those of the oppressor?
Although some our actions contradict our feelings toward

Colorado Wildfire Case Study
On the day at 22nd June 2012 there were at least eight large wildfires burning in Colorado, and at
least 16 uncontained wildfires burning across the nation it would be safe to say that there was an
outbreak of wildfires at this time. This fire was initially reported that approximately 1950 hrs. to the
local United Statesforest service responsible for the Colorado Springs area. There are multiple
agencies that were dispatched to locate and extinguish the reported firehowever no fire or smoke
was located so at approximately 2148 hrs. all agencies were released from the search efforts by the

after the fire reached this area that the Sheriff s office organized firefighters to protect homes in

Electrolysis Essay
Electrolysis is the direct passing of an electric current that follows through an ionic substance that
is molten or dissolved in a suitable solvent, which makes electrodes and separated materials.
Electrolysis begins when an electrical current flows out of one pole of energy into one electrode,
which is called the cathode. Electrolysisoccurs when electrical energy is used to produce a
chemical change. Sulfuric acid, also known as ( H2SO4) , is commonly used in Electrolysis (Net
Industries). Electrolysis can only be produced by energy being pumped or pulled into water. A best
known example of Electrolysis is decomposition of water to produce hydrogen and oxygen (Net
Industries). When an electrical current passes through a water current, hydrogen bubbles are
produced. Every two water molecules have been decomposed into two hydrogen molecules, after
Electrolysis have turned an ionic substance into a dissolved, suitable substance. ( Net Industries).
Water must be dissolved in salt to be made an electrode. An electrode is a conductor through which
electricity enters or leaves an object or a substance. The net result of two electrode reactions added
together is ( H + ions + 4 OH ions ). An ion is an atom or a molecule in which the total number of
electrons is not equal to the total number of protons, giving the atom or molecule a positive or
negative electrical charge. Ions can be created either chemically or physically. The cathode, the
negatively charged electrode by which

What Is The Formal Analysis Of The Bauhaus
The Bauhaus is a school that opened in 1919 by Walter Gropius. The school focused on bringing
together all forms of art and design making all faculties equal in importance. At first the school was
influenced by The Arts and Crafts movement but after 1923 the focus shifted to mechanized
production. Moholy Nagy, the director of the Bauhausfrom 1923 onward, wanted new solutions for
the problems of industrialization by means of mass production and educating the new generation on
how to create such solutions.
The students, from diverse backgrounds and interests, had to pass a preliminary course before
being admitted into the school and then were part of workshops where they would do practical
work (1923 Bauhaus Online [sa]). The Bauhaus believed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Another example of this characteristic of being clear and to the point without distracting the eye
would be the lack of tonal and textual variation in the design. Schmidt has made this poster as
simple and clear as possible so that his message could be understood the first time it was viewed
and so it would give a timeless overall impression.
The poster was well designed and clearly indicates all the aspects of the new Bauhaus s design
characteristics. This is why it is a perfect example of what should be used to exhibit the new
school, so the public can be aware of the changes made in the school beforehand. Schmidt, as an
educator at the facility, fully understands and believes in the new Bauhaus aims and shows this in
his amazing designs. The Bauhaus not only intended on solving the problems of society and
improving the way people lived but also wanted to unite the people through their

Airline Ticket Prices Is The Foundation Of All Economic...
Supply and demand, together, are the foundation of all economic ventures. Airline ticket prices are
determined by the demand for travelers and the marginal cost of filling the seats; thus generating
supply. The interception of supply and demand is where business is generated. This interception of
the airlines pricing curves is indicated at their equilibrium point where there s neither a surplus nor
a shortage. Why can an airlineticket from Casper, Wyoming to Denver, Colorado, and from
Denver, Colorado to Orlando, Florida cost the same? Does this make economic sense? Where and
when tickets are purchased affects the bottom line price the consumer pays. Price and value are
extremely important in economicsthus; the effect of supply and demand, affects the overall cost of
the ticket.
Goals of Pricing
Airline ticket prices can vary from day to day, from airline to airline; with the most important
variable being competition. Industry pricing for a market of such a magnitude is a micro , and
macro economic decision. Its affects will in turn effect the entire economy of the industry. We all
know that when shopping for the cheapest price for an airline ticket, depending on various
factors, Seaney (2011) you will pay hundreds of dollars more, or less, than the passenger seated
right next to you. That being, the airlines primary goal is to maximize profit(s) on every seat, on
every plane, on every route. This is the result of supply, demand, and price curve working

The Impact Of Federalism
Federalism can be said to be the defining feature of all forms of American politics. Even as a
literary characteristic feature, America was the first nation to adopt federalism as a concept.
Federalism is a system of government whereby political power is divided between a national
government and other smaller political constituents such as states (Platt, 2014). Federalism,
although not mentioned exactly in the constitution, was supposed to be a concept that addressed
the errors of the confederation (Platt, 2014). It was also supposed to be the lay the groundwork for
what the future of American politics by defining the type of government to be practiced. As it was

Another example of this would be the election and in particular, the Electoral College. The
system of the Electoral College is one that portrays federalism i.e. share of power between state
and national government. The Constitution provides the framework of the system. Federal
statutes stipulate aspects of the process and give directions to states regarding the time of the
election and certification of the electoral vote. Federal statutes also give directions to Congress
concerning the counting of the electoral vote, and they provide a process for objections to the
vote. Since each state is important because it has to conduct its own election at the same time with
other states, the laws of each state specify the time and place of the meeting of the electors as well
as other election provisions. Together, these two governments, together with the constitution, create
the Electoral College system (Edwin C. Kisiel, III, page 12 13). Since laws at both the national as
well as the state level govern the Electoral College, it can be said that its foundation is rooted in

Sally Brampton Depression
Killing oneself is, anyway, a misnomer. We don t kill ourselves. We are simply defeated by the
long, hard struggle to stay alive. When somebody dies after a long illness, people are apt to say,
with a note of approval, He fought so hard. And they are inclined to think, about a suicide, that no
fight was involved, that somebody simply gave up. This is quite wrong. When Sally Brampton
quoted this she was going through a rough patch in her life fighting the demons of depressionand
alcoholism. Sometimes people will have ways to control those demons or even fight them, in
regards to Sally a general understandingof her depression and alcoholism, along with the
treatments that can be tried to help her out, and how you can perceive the illness when it doesn t
regard to yourself. Sally Brampton was a successful magazine editor and prize winning
journalist, In 1985 she launched Elle magazine in the UK, but all of that was just a cover up
with a glamorous career. Nobody knew how awful things had gotten for her. Understanding
depression varies from person to person. One person may understand it and know what s going
on, while another person will totally be lost and believe that you are making everything up.
While reading the book one particular quote stuck out to me, it helped me understand depression
more than I ever have ( Sometimes, says a fellow depressive, I wish I was in a full body cast, with
every bone in my body broken. That s how I feel anyway. Then, maybe,

Henry V Theme Of War
Known as one of the greatest warrior kings in all of English history, Henry V has left a hefty
impression. In Shakespeare s play of the same name, the monarch battles literally with France for
the throne and figuratively with accountability and being a just ruler and conqueror. Through the
story, we can see the values Henry holds and how the real implications of war aren t something the
king cannot deal with in a proper manner. The debate between King Henry and the common
soldiers like Williams and Bates illustrate fundamental problems with Henry s rule and asks
important questions about the motives behind war itself. In Act 4, Scene 1 of Shakespeare s Henry V
, the king does incognito in a cloak to interact with the everyman of his army. This... Show more

He ignores the responsibility of the king for putting all these lives in danger. He denies the fault
of the king for waging the war, and instead deflects the blame onto the will of God. Basically, his
response to the soldiers is that they must be spiritually prepared when they go into battle
because the king is not responsible for their deaths. This is a believe that is horribly ignorant and
unfair to the people who might actually lose their lives. When the king conquers the French port
on the mouth of the Seine, he insults them and states that God is on their side. Eventually, he
implies that the French should feel badly for being responsible for the death of their many
citizens at the hands of English. However, the same doesn t apply for himself when he could be
leading his men to their deaths. This might be because he thinks God s favor lies with England but
it is of course foolish and hypocritical to believe this. Using religion as a shield is a method Henry
uses throughout the play, stating the kingdom of England has God on their side on multiple
occasions. This aversion of guilt continually demonstrates Henry s doubt in himself and fragile

Military Command Relationships
Command Relationships Command relationships delineate authority, responsibility, and
accountability for force protection and execution of the collective mission, defining command
relations, and understanding the four types of command relationships are essential to effective
communications and mission execution. To understand command relationships one must first
understand the organizational structure of the Armed ForcesLeadership and key terms that

In an analysis of the situation in the aftermath of Katrina, there is a clear delineation of authority,
with the National Guard of individual states remaining under state executive control of the
Governor when not federalized (Tkacz, 2006). Understanding the progression of the levels of
command is paramount to understanding command interactions and how command elements are
unified under one Senior Military Officer forming specific operational command relationships.
Command Relationships
Command relationships preserve the preeminence of civil authorities in their domains of obligation
while enabling the full utilization of military forces as permitted by the United States Constitution,
Congressional law, and Presidential directives (Joint Chiefs of Staff, 2013). All United States
military forces within respective branches operate under a single commander establishing a
successive authority structure. Army command relationships define superior and subordinate
relationships between unit commanders. By stipulating a chain of command, command
relationships amalgamates effort and enable commanders to use subordinate forces with extreme
flexibility. Army command relationships classify the level of control exerted on subordinate
organizations (U.S. Department of the Army, 2014).
The type of command relationship is designated by the estimated duration of

The Dreamer Junot Diaz Analysis
Jennifer D. Shyu
Professor Patrick Hendricks
English 111
31 January 2017
Chasing Dreams Everyone chases a dream at some point in life. The Dreamer by Junot Diaz is a
heartfelt story about one exceptional woman chasing her dreams. Diaz uses his mother s life as
an example of how a person can achieve his or her dreams by having courage and self
determination. He chooses to write about her because she is his motivation to succeed. He uses
her struggles to provide evidence to support his thesis that anyone can overcome challenges and
achieve success. While The Dreamer appears geared toward an audience consisting of
individuals facing adversity, the piece was first published in a women s magazine called More in
2011 (Diaz 128). Diaz first introduces his mother as an adult in New Jersey, but describes her as a
child growing up in an impoverished country using the statement You wouldn t know it looking at

Her struggles and self determination drove him to chase his dream of becoming a writer. His use of
the metaphor for being thirsty to succeed is deeply moving and shows just how important his
mother s success is for him. In his ending, he describes her as his muse with Every time I get in
trouble with my art, I try to think of that girl. I think of that thirst, of that courage. I think of her
(Diaz 130). He wants to make known to his readers that self determination and courage are the
keys to success. The essay The Dreamer is an amazing narrative about overcoming adversity. By
using his mother s life story, Diaz shows that anyone can overcome obstacles and be successful.
His audience, though geared toward women, is anyone facing day to day struggles and trying to
succeed. I am deeply moved by Diaz s essay because I can relate to facing challenges that I felt I
would not overcome. His story is an excellent reminder to never give up. Keep chasing your

Sonny s Character In The Rocket Boys
My favorite character in Rocket Boys is Sonny s father, Homer Hickman. This may seem like an
odd choice, given that Sonny s father is not always kind to Sonny, and often hinders him. Other
times, however, he helps Sonny greatly. For example, in the beginning of the story, he pours
Sonny s chemicals down the creek and forbids Sonny from launching rockets on company
property. Afterwards, he shows Sonny an area where he is allowed to launch rockets, the place that
becomes Cape Coalwood. Everything Sonny s father does often contradicts something done or said
earlier in the book, which seems at first to be very confusing.
These actions, however, all have a simple explanation. Sonny s father has two loves in his life: his
family and his mine. Additionally,

Economic System And Economic Systems
For this essay I will be focusing in on the three different economic system, which are known as
centrally planned economy, mixed economy, and market economy. I will also be explaining why
internationalizing firms should be aware of the differences between all three economic systems and
what roles should the government be taking in the free market systems. Before I begin defining the
different economic systemsI would like to first explain what an economic systemis. Every country
differs in what economic system is being used. An economic system is a system of producing
goods and the exchange of goods and services. An economic systems also includes a process
which is used to allocate its assets. Culture can have a big impact because of a country s
economy. Just as a country s economy state differs from country to country so does its culture.
Why does it have an effect on a country s culture we ask? The difference between having an
individualist or a collectivist culture is where we see it. In an individualist culture we see more
people being rewarded then we see in a collectivist culture. Being rewarded with things such as low
tax rates which inspires them to continue with their activities of their culture.
As mentioned in Chapter 7 no nation is either considered to be fully individualist or fully
collectivist. National economies are arranged on a scale in which we see the three different
economic systems. The scale is setup in a way in which centrally planned economy is

Summary Of Hugo Chavez s The Bolivarian Republic Of Venezuela
Hugo Chavez called his government The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. After me! That is
hilarious, because I utterly disagree with his beliefs, his government, and what he is trying to do.
I was the liberator of South America, I wanted social justice, I wanted everyone, every class, to be
equal and have equal opportunities. Chavez shares none of these ideals. He attempts to help the
poor, but in reality he hurts them.
For example, Chavez imposed price controls on basic necessities, to help the lower class afford
food, but this action had an adverse effect. Because manufacturers couldn t make a profit, they
stopped selling their goods, and food shortages became rampant! In short, even though Chavez tries
to help the lower class, he ends up hurting them, against my beliefs, because I believe in helping the
entire population.
As these food shortages go on, one of the saddest ramifications of it is malnutrition in children.
Children are starving to death as their parents look on, because they cannot afford food. And what
is the government doing? Nothing! President NicolГЎs Maduro has acknowledged that people are
hungry in Venezuela, but he has refused to accept international aid (Kohut Herrera). That is not
just. A leader should do what is right for his people, not what is good for his ego! Maduro s
country is starving, and he can t fix it, yet he refuses help because he blames other countries for his
problems.
I think Maduro is a horrible leader, just because he is not

Philosophy Is Not An Impossibility
Nowadays, philosophy is seen as a simple art where people instantly question everything. People
who practice this discipline are perceived as crazy and are not understood by the society. Noticing
that this science sub exist since the former time, it has to have a value as other science that we
maybe we did not perceive as first sight. Fortunately, Russell, one of the people who practice this

A love could be more important that the one who love depending to the degree we put in it.
However, love mostly has a connotation which leads toward an entirely; this wholly that we can
either pursue or be with. But a question to our momentum could be who that wisdom that we could
love be.
Wisdom might be defined as a knowledge that we use as discernment to know what could be
good or bad. A wisdom which come from the adjective wise is also having some experience in
one particular subject. We could notice in this simple word wisdom disclose intrinsically a lexical
field of knowledge inside or outside its being which is abstract.
In addition, love an intangible which is wisdom could not reveal from the physic, the material. This
discipline can only target what we can not see which has a relation with the mind. Thus, love of the
wisdom commonly known as philosophy which display two abstract notions, one is a strong
feeling which push us to significantly bewitch what we love with great interest, the other as a
judgment or experience derivative of the knowledge which appeared not strong but discreet and
sober. This paradox is what philosophy is: a chase of wisdom, a passion concerning the study of
knowledge, a sane thirst of apprenticeship concerning the different experience of life. Knowing its
origin could not be necessarily mean grasp what philosophy is.

Comparing Why The Geese Shrieked And Yentl The Yeshiva Boy
Nobody ever said life is easy. In fact, it s really about proving you can face challenges. This is
evident in Isaac Bashevis Singer s short stories Why the Geese Shrieked and Yentl the Yeshiva Boy
. Although The Mother, Yentl, and Hadass, the female characters of these stories, live in different
places during different times, they all face challenges of gender.
The situations that these characters encounter are quite different, at least on the outside. Mother is
a rationalist and the wife of a mystic rabbi. She suggests that there must be a logical explanation for
this sound because slaughtered geese don t shriek but her husband thinks there must be some
supernatural explanation as to why they are making this noise. As a woman, Mother cannot
outwardly express her disbelief that the reason for these shrieking geese is some sort of mystical
source without the permission of her husband. In contrast, Yentl, the main character of Yentl the

Recreation Management And Therapeutic Recreation
Every year new students entering into the School of Health and Human Performance in the
programs of Recreation Management and Therapeutic Recreation take part in a two day orientation.
This orientation helps students gain a better understanding of recreation, learn about their programs,
and create bonds with fellow classmates. Throughout the weekend this year, students were able to
create memories with classmates whom they will be studying alongside over the course of their
education. The orientation weekend served many different purposes for the students in both
Recreation Management and Therapeutic Recreation. The first purpose of the retreat was to help
students gain a better understandingof recreation. Many people, including myself before this
orientation, believe that recreation is solely sports. However, that fact is far from true as recreation
encompasses many different aspects such as art, music, photography, knitting, and running. Once
students understood the different aspects of recreation they were able to learn more about their
programs. This was done through having older students interact with new students, and by having
professionals speak to the new students. The professionals were in both the Recreation
Management and Therapeutic Recreation fields. Since my programof study is Recreation
Management, I got to hear all about that field. In the speeches I learned how to get involved in

completion time line will be affected. Most notably tasks C, F, and H will be affected as they have
a slack value of 0. More importantly task J the final task in the project network diagram has a value
of 0 and a LF of 39 which would not be met because of the delay.
Scenario 4 The duration for task C is reduced by 25%: Because task C has a slack value of 0
reducing its duration time from 12 weeks to 8 weeks would pose a threat to the project
completion time line. However, since task D has a slack value of 13 and starts in week 8 along
with task C, the project manager can utilize the slack time available within task D to shift
resource to assist in completed task C in 8 weeks. This action will keep the project completion
date from slipping from its original completion date in week 39.
Our final exercise will include a brief discussion on risk management. After analyzing the data tasks
C, F, and H pose a potential risk to the project as there is no slack available. My risk response is to
avoid; therefore, I would have the resources for task D assist task C, the resources from E and G
assist F, which would provide slack for H. This approach would greatly reduce the chances of any
of the tasks

Compare And Contrast David And Bathesheba
Several things have not changed over ancient times very girl craves to be pursued, every man
struggles with lust, and the Lord can use ordinary humans to do extraordinary things. These are
world wide things and have been around since the beginning of time. We as girls desire to be
irreplaceable and want to be wanted. Even Christian culture has played into this. Boaz pursued
Ruth in a way that greatly displayed the loveof Christ. They were a lot like spaghetti and meatballs
great by themselves but a powerhouse when combined. The old testamentalso documents the
hardships in relationships in our fallen world. There are also sweet records of the works He has
done in peoples lives. And the result of immovable faith. We can learn from people s triumphs and
failures in the Bible. David and Bathesheba story was a clear warning not too think too highly of

She truly trusted in the Lord s timing. She lived humbly and walked in Christ like love
unintentionally setting an incredible example that wont ever go out of date. Hannah s husband was a
bigamist and her sister wife Peninnah would try to intentionally hurt her feelings. She longed
for a son, not to fulfill selfish desires but so she could raise him to love and serve the Lord. She
has a pure heart and wanted nothing more than to raise one of her own to be a servant of the
Lord. Even in today s sin infested world when someone has an extraordinary mother who loves
the Lord and consistently instills grace in her children it can really show in their every day eyes.
Hannah and her husband Elkanah had a deep love for one another despite having a third party in
their strange love triangle. It was obvious that Hannah did not just seek to be a Godly mother but
she sought to be a wife who showed the love of Christ. And instead of distancing herself from the
Lord when it seemed as if she might never become a mother she poured out her heart

They plan to increase their revenue by offering Clayton s services, which include loan review,
surveillance, real estate management, as well as other services focusing on the single family rental
market.
On December 23rd, Radian Group discontinued the operation of one of their subsidiaries, Radian
Asset Assurance, and began the process of selling it. The sale of Radian Asset Assurance was a
strategic sale to allow Radian Group to be able to comply with new capital requirements expected
to be imposed during 2015.
The insurance industry, as a whole, has seen an increase in M A transactions since 2013. Property
and Casualty firms have not seen the same levels of activity, partly due to hesitant buyers concerned
with the smaller than expected rate increases among insurers.
Changes in Capital Structure
Radian Group issued new shares of common stock in 2013 and 2014. This issuance increased their
shares outstanding by 57,407 to 191,054 at the end of 2014.
Radian Group has also issued a series of Senior Notes over the past five years. Senior Notes with

Poem And William Carlos William s Order In The Streets
In the poem Poem the syntax is very interesting because of how each line is organized. The way
the lines are organized gives an image of what the poem is trying to show us. The way the poem
is laid out may leave some think it is awkward, but the way it is organized actually makes it more
rhythmatic than it would just read out in 1 or 2 lines. When reading the poem I picture the cat
climbing/walking with pauses every time the line ends. For example in lines 5 7, first the right
(Williams 5) pause as the cat steps, forefoot/carefully (Williams 6 7) you can picture the cat going
slowly and carefully. In Order in the Streets, Donald Justice uses similar syntaxstructure to William
Carlos William s Poem . The syntax is similar because both poems use how the lines are
organized as a way to make the poem more interesting. In Order in the Streets , the syntax help
shape a picture of what the author is trying to portray. For example in lines 3 5, Jeep rushes
(Justice 3) you can picture a jeep driving fast, to the scene (Justice 4) you slowly get a sense of
the setting, of riot (Justice 5). By the end of these lines you can picture a jeep rushing to a riot of
some sort. These lines help paint of picture of the poem and help with the theme of them as well
#4In Emily Dickinson s poem Some keep the sabbath going to Church , you can clearly see her
opinion of religion and God. It seems like Dickinson likes the idea of religion, she just prefers to
practice outside of the Church. For example in lines 2 4 following the central metaphor, she says
I keep it, staying at Home /With a Bobolink for a Chorister /And an orchard, for a Dome
(Dickinson 2 4). In these lines she seems to find going out into nature to be more beneficial than
a church. When Dickinson says With a Bobolink for a Chorister , you can see she prefers the
sound of birds over the sound of singing from a member of the choir. And when she says And an
Orchard, for a Dome , it is clear that she prefers looking up and seeing trees rather than a dome of
a chapel. In conclusion, I believe that Dickinson s views on religion is positive, but she prefers to
practice it out in nature.
#5I believe that the poem s title should be known as Dream

This illustrates a relationship between proportions. Moreover, the results show a 44 percent
improvement in lowering the back pain on those who practice mindfulness based stress
reduction. Also, there is a 45 percent reduction of lower back pain for those who practice
cognitive behavioral therapy. Therefore, both variable positively correlate with lowering the
lower back pain. Further, the data collected for this study was based on an experiment. In other
words, in order to prove that the explanatory variables, in this case, mindfulness based stress
reduction and cognitive behavioral therapy, have an effect on the response variable, which is the
reduction of lower back pain, is necessary to put the cases on different treatments to obtain the
desire results. Also, Rabin writes They were randomly assigned in equal numbers to either
mindfulness based stress reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy, or to continue doing what they
were already doing (Rabin 7). This demonstrates that sampling was used to avoid the sample to
differ from the population in a significant way. Finally, Rabin does implies that there is a causal
association between the variables by expressing that mindfulness based stress reduction and
cognitive behavioral therapy can be helpful for low back pain but stopping the treatment can cause

Threats Of Journalism In Risen
Threats to Journalism Over the past few years, threats on journalism increased immensely due to
the past attack on September 11, 2001. Journalists are misrepresented as criminals due to their
involvement in leaking information about topics that the government chose to keep secret. The
disclosure of this confidential information forced the Obama administration to pursue journalists
and bring them to court. This attack on journalists may continue or get worse under Donald Trump
because Trump has deliberately and strongly shown his dislike towards media through his speeches

The Origin Of The Aboriginal Noongar People
In the south west of Western Australia lay over a dozen tribes of the Noongar people. The
aboriginal Noongar tribe is one of the largest Aboriginal cultural blocks in Australia, and their
names stems from the meaning of the original inhabitants of the south west of Western Australia.
The Noongar people are deeply, spiritually connected to the earth, nature, and their ancestral past
through what they call the dreaming , or dreamtime. For Aboriginals, the Dreamtime is how their
cultural knowledge is formed and how they understand the creation of the world, passed down
traditionally through oral telling and stories. The Dreamtime is the world of their ancestors and
how the spirits were born out of darkness. One of the most well known deities/spirits and its
corresponding origin story is that of the Waugal, or the Rainbow Serpent.
The serpent is believed to be the first thing that moved across the land, making the paths in the
land such as dunes, rivers, mountains, valleys, and where the serpent stopped to rest is where
lakes and bodies of water were formed. The Noongar recognize the Waugal as the giver of life
because it mainly created waterways to provide for the people.
The story of the Waugal comes with a story of the creation of the earth, when it was dark, flat,
and featureless. The serpent is said to have awakened, aware of what would happen when he
becomes real, because how could the serpent be able to shape the earth if he was no hands or feet?

Similarities Between Hinduism And Buddhism
Learning about both Hinduism and Buddhism, particularly about the art and architecture of both
cultures made me realize they are not that different as I thought first. Both cultures are beautiful
and rich, and if someone takes a deeper look can see that they are depending on each other.
Many people forget that Buddha was born into a Hindu society, and his views and beliefs which
led to a brand new culture are based on Hinduism. Of course I am not saying the two are the same
because that wouldn t make any sense. However, the similarities are visible, just the way
differences are visible too, and these things make both cultures so amazing. First I would like to
point out some of the similarities and differences between Hindu and Buddhist faiths which I think
are important to understand their art. Both religions put karma and reincarnation into the center of
believes. Both religions believe in several spiritual practices in attempts to get beyond the thinking
mind and into a state of relaxation and awareness. However, they do not share their gods, in
Hinduism they share their religion with many gods and goddesses, and in Buddhismthere is no god,
Buddha himself was a leader. Knowing the two cultures basic views and believes it is easier to
compare their art and architecture, since mostly they are based on the religions.
The first similarity which I think is very oblivious is the stupa. Stupas are present in both cultures
and the base for the temples in Hinduism and Buddhism

The Effect of John Keats Health on His Work Essay
The Effect of John Keats Health on His Work
In his elegy for the poet John Keats, Adonais, his friend and fellow
poet Percy Bysshe Shelley writes: With me / Died Adonais; till the Future dares
/ Forget the Past, his fate and fame shall be / An echo and a light unto
eternity (6 9). Shelley speaks of the eternal nature of Keats poetry, which,
although written at a specific time in literary history, addresses timeless
issues such as life, death, love, sorrow, and poetic expression. Keats lived
only twenty six years, but his poetry reflects a mind concerned with his own
place in the present and the future; he seemed to want most desperately to
belong to the world as a poet. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She returned when she was dying of tuberculosis,
and she (and her brother) did die of that disease in 1809 (Keats). Keats was,
therefore, a solitary child who grew very protective of his siblings. This
protectiveness of others is clear in his poetry as he tries to make sense of
death, grief, and suffering.
Keats sense that his role as a writer was to ease the suffering of
others is nowhere clearer than in Ode to a Nightingale, written in 1819. In
this poem he speaks to the lonely songbird, the nightingale, and says he envies
her ability to sing so beautifully. The nightingale sings because she is not a
part of the world of human suffering. As one critic writes, the viewless
(invisible) wings of Poesy transport the poet to the imagined world of the
nightingale while shutting out the view of the world s fever and fret
(Clark). Keats says he hopes that through the nightingale s song his own
humanity will fade, and he will forget his own troubles. He hopes to fade away
into the forest dim: / Fade far away, dissolve, and quite forget / . . . The
weariness, the fever, and the fret / Here, where men sit and hear each other
groan; / Where palsy shakes a few, sad, last grey hairs, / . .

The story begins on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of summer. Neddy and Lucinda Merrill

He considers on going back to the Westerhazys but he cannot bring himself to end his journey
early. After finally able to cross the street Neddy finds himself at the public pool. It stank of
chlorine and looked to him like a sink (Cheever 608). Neddy was very displeased with all the
rules at the public pool. All the swimmers needed to shower, rinse their feet and wear their
identification disks. He wasn t able to swim leisurely in this pool like the others. He was forced to
swim with his head up so other swimmers did not bump into him. When he made it to the other
side he made a mad dash to his next destination, the Halloran s.
The true nature of Neddy is that he has made a habit of rejecting invitations, and as friend after
friend remarks on how long it s been since they ve seen each other. It becomes clear that he has
distanced himself from those around him. He wasn t aware of his friends illnesses or friends that
have moved away and he himself was suffering from misfortune that has cost him his wealth and
family. As his journey progresses his health and strength degrades, he becomes weaker and weaker.

Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe
What would you sell your soul for? A question Faustus had to ask when he wanted to gain more
than just knowledge. England during the 1550 s had gone through many changes with religion,
leaving the people unsure of what they wanted. When Elizabeth finally claimed throne and stayed
Queen for a forty five year reign, there were stable religious changes. For an escape and way of
entertainment, society would attend plays. Due to the changing events during the Elizabethan era,
plays were a stress reliever for the people such as the play Doctor Faustus; written by Christopher
Marlowewho was also dealing with his own religious problems symbolizing the life of Elizabethan
times.
England had four different rulers take the throne within a twenty year span. Henry VIII ruled in
1509, being well known for having married six wives and wanting to produce a male heir
(Singman 1). Henry wanted a divorce; he asked for the pope to help him and ended in rejection.
Henry was angry resulting in his passing of legislation that separated him from the Roman
Catholic Church (Singman 1). After his third wife gave birth to Edward VI, she died. In 1547,
after his father s death, Edward took throne under age advised by guardians. He died before he
came of age to rule on his own. (Singman 2). The next oldest child was Mary, an extreme Catholic.
She reunited England with the Catholic Church; that soon changed after she died in 1558 after her
short ruling (Singman 2). The outcomes of her ruling were

Research Paper On Kitsune
Kitsune are from Japanese folklore and are Japanese foxes. A kitsune can have up to nine tails,
depending on its age, wisdom and power. The only way to kill a kitsune is to cut off all of its

which tail is the main one, one would have to cut off all its tails to kill it.One, five, seven, and nine

Abstract:
Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton is considered to be one of the greatest Antarctic explorers of all time,
not because that he was successful in all his expeditions. In fact all of the expeditions he undertook
were failures. So why is he given this legendary status? His simple ability to lead the men in his
crew to safety, to handle the most stressful situations with calmness and change his plans as per the
situations has rendered him to become a subject for many research studies throughout the world.
In his expedition during 1906, to the South Pole, he single handedly man hauled a sledge to within
97 miles of the South Pole. Later he lead a crew of 27 men safely to home in one of the most
notorious weather conditions for a duration of over 2 years simply exemplify his stature.
Introduction:
Sir Ernest Shackleton was an Antarctic explorer of the Anglo Irish descent. Though he went on
many expeditions, he is best known for his Endurance expedition during 1914 1916.

Evolution Of Dogs
The dog, also know as man s best friend or more scientifically, Cannis lupus familiaris, has been
just that for 130,000 years. The dog is a descendant of the gray wolf, who lives in a much different
habitat and leads a much different lifestyle than our domestic dogs. The anatomy and physiology of
the dogcan vary greatly among its different breeds but generally speaking the dog anatomy and
physiology follow similar blueprints no matter what. To begin, the dog transitioned from wolf to
domestic dog 130,000 years ago. Molecular evidence now shows that the dog is indeed a direct
descendent of the gray wolf, also know as Canis lupus. Dogs are smaller than gray wolves. They
have shorter muzzle and smaller teeth. It is believed that dogs went... Show more content on

The domestic dog is in the biological family of dogs. This family includes foxes, jackals, and
wolves. The class dog belongs to is thr mammalia class. Their order is carnivora. Dogs are
members of the canidae family. Their genus is Cannis and their species is familiaris (Scientific
Classification of Pet Dogs).
There are many physical differences among breeds of dogs. Selected breeding by humans has
lead to artificial evolution (Evolution of Dogs). There are approximately 150 different breeds of
dogs. Within these breeds and due to artificial evolution, certain diseases or disorders can be
specific to breeds. Labradors can develop tumors, Bulldogs can have respiratory problems,
Boxers can develop cancer, and so on. As previously stated, though breeds can widely vary in
size and build, their anatomy and physiology is still that of a dog. Dogs have a fourth head of
their triceps brachii. This is known as the accessory head. They walk on their phalanges, which
are also home to their thick paw pads. Dogs sweat from their paw pads and their noses only. The
muzzle of a dog can vary between breeds as well. An English Bulldog has a much more flattened
snout than a Collie. When a dog is panting, its respiratory system is regulating its body temperature.

In the article Hacking Victims Deserve Empathy, Not Ridicule, Farhad Manjoo discusses the issue
of personal security online. In the recent Ashley Madison database hack, more than 30 million

  • 2. Essay on It s Time to Abolish Religion Can a society exist emancipated from religion? Will its foundations decay due to the absence of it, or will it flourish and achieve a new stratum of knowledge which will result in a peaceful co existence? The word religion has its roots in the Latin word religare which means to bind together, or to connect; on the contrary I argue religionhas been an apparatus of division, rather than achieving collectivism, thus doing much more harm than good. History represents the bloody warfare instigated and propagated in the name of religion; it is the antithesis of peace and unity. Religion has imposed limitations upon development of knowledge; therefore hampering the growth of humanfaculties, and narrowing the realm of free thinking men. Time... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Individuals need to learn to recognize one another as members of only one family, and stop applying the filters of culture, or religion to divide one another. Karl Marx quoted religion is the opiate of masses. He believed the bourgeoisie class used religion as a means to control and oppress the proletariat class; however, the governing system may have evolved in the past years, the theory is still applicable to majority of societies today. Individuals who occupy powerful positions within society often resort to using religion as means to subjugate and oppress the people belonging to minority groups; the most transparent example is the birth of caste system within the religious dogmas of Hinduism which is demonizing the Indian society still today. Implementation of religion in social and political institutions is a method powerful people use to legitimize their oppression, which creates further havoc upon the society; because it is no longer administered by a neutral governing body, consequently it is serving the interests of few powerful individuals, meanwhile ignoring the rest of the populace. The unbalance created by religion continually disturbs all facets of society, be it political, or social sphere; the result is ongoing tension among the inhabitants eventually leading to revolutionary mindset. • 3. Persuasive Essay On Black Hate In the same way, the Spelman College administration, faculty, and students that disregard the West End community that surrounds the college only contribute to the erosion of our community and our people. Although this is not a language of hate, it is a clear display of indifference which communicates the same thing. Choosing to disregard the homeless, pay little attention to the gentrification that is rampantly kicking our people out of our community, or ignore ways to provide opportunities or exposure to the high school students in our own back yard; are we truly activating black love as political resistance or are we ignoring the needs of the people that are around us every day? We need to realize that there are two vehicles that drive the future of the black community: one of black love and one of black hate. Realize that, although society drives black hate we can be passengers in that car. We can disagree and reject their ideology, all the while internalizing it. Even though we are not driving, our inability to articulate black love as fluently as we articulate black hate, allows black hate to trump black love. Therefore, in our lives, in our homes, in our communities, and on our HBCU campuses the darkness and degradation of blackness thrives by separating us from our own people and making it seem normal to demean ourselves, our race, and our people. Is this behavior not subtly mimicking those of the oppressor? Although some our actions contradict our feelings toward ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Electrolysis Essay Electrolysis is the direct passing of an electric current that follows through an ionic substance that is molten or dissolved in a suitable solvent, which makes electrodes and separated materials. Electrolysis begins when an electrical current flows out of one pole of energy into one electrode, which is called the cathode. Electrolysisoccurs when electrical energy is used to produce a chemical change. Sulfuric acid, also known as ( H2SO4) , is commonly used in Electrolysis (Net Industries). Electrolysis can only be produced by energy being pumped or pulled into water. A best known example of Electrolysis is decomposition of water to produce hydrogen and oxygen (Net Industries). I will also be explaining why internationalizing firms should be aware of the differences between all three economic systems and what roles should the government be taking in the free market systems. Before I begin defining the different economic systemsI would like to first explain what an economic systemis. Every country differs in what economic system is being used. An economic system is a system of producing goods and the exchange of goods and services. An economic systems also includes a process which is used to allocate its assets. Culture can have a big impact because of a country s economy. Just as a country s economy state differs from country to country so does its culture. Why does it have an effect on a country s culture we ask? The difference between having an individualist or a collectivist culture is where we see it. In an individualist culture we see more people being rewarded then we see in a collectivist culture. Being rewarded with things such as low tax rates which inspires them to continue with their activities of their culture. • 24. Poem And William Carlos William s Order In The Streets In the poem Poem the syntax is very interesting because of how each line is organized. The way the lines are organized gives an image of what the poem is trying to show us. The way the poem is laid out may leave some think it is awkward, but the way it is organized actually makes it more rhythmatic than it would just read out in 1 or 2 lines. When reading the poem I picture the cat climbing/walking with pauses every time the line ends. For example in lines 5 7, first the right (Williams 5) pause as the cat steps, forefoot/carefully (Williams 6 7) you can picture the cat going slowly and carefully. In Order in the Streets, Donald Justice uses similar syntaxstructure to William Carlos William s Poem . The syntax is similar because both poems use how the lines are organized as a way to make the poem more interesting. In Order in the Streets , the syntax help shape a picture of what the author is trying to portray. For example in lines 3 5, Jeep rushes (Justice 3) you can picture a jeep driving fast, to the scene (Justice 4) you slowly get a sense of the setting, of riot (Justice 5). By the end of these lines you can picture a jeep rushing to a riot of some sort. These lines help paint of picture of the poem and help with the theme of them as well #4In Emily Dickinson s poem Some keep the sabbath going to Church , you can clearly see her opinion of religion and God. It seems like Dickinson likes the idea of religion, she just prefers to practice outside of the Church. For example in lines 2 4 following the central metaphor, she says I keep it, staying at Home /With a Bobolink for a Chorister /And an orchard, for a Dome (Dickinson 2 4). In these lines she seems to find going out into nature to be more beneficial than a church. When Dickinson says With a Bobolink for a Chorister , you can see she prefers the sound of birds over the sound of singing from a member of the choir. And when she says And an Orchard, for a Dome , it is clear that she prefers looking up and seeing trees rather than a dome of a chapel. In conclusion, I believe that Dickinson s views on religion is positive, but she prefers to practice it out in nature. #5I believe that the poem s title should be known as Dream ... • 27. The Origin Of The Aboriginal Noongar People In the south west of Western Australia lay over a dozen tribes of the Noongar people. The aboriginal Noongar tribe is one of the largest Aboriginal cultural blocks in Australia, and their names stems from the meaning of the original inhabitants of the south west of Western Australia. The Noongar people are deeply, spiritually connected to the earth, nature, and their ancestral past through what they call the dreaming , or dreamtime. For Aboriginals, the Dreamtime is how their cultural knowledge is formed and how they understand the creation of the world, passed down traditionally through oral telling and stories. The Dreamtime is the world of their ancestors and how the spirits were born out of darkness. One of the most well known deities/spirits and its corresponding origin story is that of the Waugal, or the Rainbow Serpent. The serpent is believed to be the first thing that moved across the land, making the paths in the land such as dunes, rivers, mountains, valleys, and where the serpent stopped to rest is where lakes and bodies of water were formed. The Noongar recognize the Waugal as the giver of life because it mainly created waterways to provide for the people. The story of the Waugal comes with a story of the creation of the earth, when it was dark, flat, and featureless. • 30. Similarities Between Hinduism And Buddhism Learning about both Hinduism and Buddhism, particularly about the art and architecture of both cultures made me realize they are not that different as I thought first. Both cultures are beautiful and rich, and if someone takes a deeper look can see that they are depending on each other. Many people forget that Buddha was born into a Hindu society, and his views and beliefs which led to a brand new culture are based on Hinduism. Of course I am not saying the two are the same because that wouldn t make any sense. However, the similarities are visible, just the way differences are visible too, and these things make both cultures so amazing. First I would like to point out some of the similarities and differences between Hindu and Buddhist faiths which I think are important to understand their art. Both religions put karma and reincarnation into the center of believes. Both religions believe in several spiritual practices in attempts to get beyond the thinking mind and into a state of relaxation and awareness. However, they do not share their gods, in Hinduism they share their religion with many gods and goddesses, and in Buddhismthere is no god, Buddha himself was a leader. Knowing the two cultures basic views and believes it is easier to compare their art and architecture, since mostly they are based on the religions. The first similarity which I think is very oblivious is the stupa. Stupas are present in both cultures and the base for the temples in Hinduism and Buddhism ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Shelley speaks of the eternal nature of Keats poetry, which, although written at a specific time in literary history, addresses timeless issues such as life, death, love, sorrow, and poetic expression. Keats sense that his role as a writer was to ease the suffering of others is nowhere clearer than in Ode to a Nightingale, written in 1819. In this poem he speaks to the lonely songbird, the nightingale, and says he envies her ability to sing so beautifully. The nightingale sings because she is not a part of the world of human suffering. England during the 1550 s had gone through many changes with religion, leaving the people unsure of what they wanted. When Elizabeth finally claimed throne and stayed Queen for a forty five year reign, there were stable religious changes. For an escape and way of entertainment, society would attend plays.
