Compare To Patterns Of Criminal Activity And Violence In...
Compare to patterns of criminal activity and violence in England during this period. Explain
their effect on the development of constitutional law and political freedom in England. Finally,
explain how English Common Law influenced the American criminal justice system. Provide an
example. England has a reasonable repute for cruelty. A mutual awareness of the Middle Ages
is that society was abused by continuous violence and social indifference against fatalities by
the insistent dignity of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse continuously pushing back and
forth across Europe. After reading Chapter 3 in our book. The two patterns of criminal activity
and violence I would like to compare that took place in England during this period are blood feud
s and Trial by Ordeal. Crime control was built on Kindred grouping an individual s relatives
because if they were injured by another group they had their own supporters. Their supports
could bail them out of trouble by paying compensation to the other member in which they killed
or hurt families. If a member gets expelled from group they are deprived from being protected
and this gives the sheriff permission to injure, or kill the expelled individual through the practice
of outlawry. Rather than being called an outlaw, the person is named an adjurer. An individual who
withdraws somberly, which involved him wearing a white robe and cross and being subjected to
all types of persecutions, an abjurer was not permitted to remain in a

Censorship Of Female Nipples On Social Media
Censorship of Female Nipples on Social Media
Censorship has become a controversial topic on social media platforms. This has been clearly
exemplified online with the use of hashtags like #freethenipple. The #freethenipple was
spearheaded by activist and filmmaker Lina Esco, which will be explained more thoroughly. The
popularity of these social media website has allowed campaigns like #freethenipple to have
worldwide success. In addition to this campaign I will be taking a deeper look into Courtney
Demone, a transgender women who has tested Instagrams censorship policies regarding the female
chest and what Instagram considers female. With these campaigns it is important that social media
platforms like Instagram review its policies regarding nudity and the female nipple.
Before I look into these campaigns it is important to first understand what censorship is. Censorship
is when material ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
#FreeTheNipple has failed to show the diverse ways in which people with differing bodies are
sexualized, fetishized, exoticized and shamed. It has also failed to recognize that baring her nipples
doesn t mean freedom for every woman, wrote Courtney Demone (Mashable, 2015).
Currently all of the pictures that Demone posted on Instagram revealing her nipple have been
removed except for one where she does not refer to herself as a female. However, the same pictures
remain on Facebook.
When Instagram was asked about why Demone pictures were removed they released a statement
saying, they understood the importance of an individual s personal journey (transitioning) and that
they do their best to help people express themselves on their sites. But, for women like Demone
and others like her who have identified themselves as trans women and use the pronoun she, their
pictures are being censored (dna,

Electrocardiography Lab Report
Name: Nikia Martinez Class: Biology 240L L3 1201 Assignment: Electrocardiography Lab Report
Due: April 3rd 2012 Professor: Dr. B. Schoffstall Introduction In a normal human being the heart
correctly functions by the blood first entering through the right atrium from the superior and
inferior vena cava. This blood flow continues through the right atrioventricular valve into the right
ventricle. The right ventricle contracts forcing the pulmonary valve to open leading blood flow
through the pulmonary valve and into the pulmonary trunk. Blood is then distributed from the right
and left pulmonary arteries to the lungs, where carbon dioxide is unloaded and oxygen is loaded
into the blood. The blood is returned from the lungs to the left... Show more content on

Received on April 1, 2012 from Bio 240 Lab PowerPoint on Blackboard. When I did my own
EKG lab testing I used the following materials: BIOPAC electrode lead set (SS2L), BIOPAC
disposable vinyl electrodes (EL503), Cot, BIOPAC electrodes, Computer Sytem, BIOPAC
Student Lab software v3.0 or greater, and BIOPAC acquisition unit (MP30). When all these
materials are available the computer was turned on and three of the electrodes were placed on
the body of my teammate. Two electrodes were positioned on the medial surface of each leg just
above the ankle, and the last electrode was on the right anterior forearm at her wrist. When these
were attached the subject was asked to lie down on the cot and relax. We then attached her to the
EKG machine with three colored cables. The white cable was placed on the electrode on the
right forearm, the black cable was placed on right leg and the red cable was attached to the
electrode on the left leg. Once the patient was correctly hooked up to the EKG the BIOPAC
Student Lab Program was started. Lesson five is the one we used for this experiment and once
it had been chosen we label it and started the experiment. There were four conditions we needed
to measure; the first being lying down. The subject was lying down relaxing on the cot. We
clicked record and let it run for 20 seconds. The data resembled the chart below. If it did not we
would have had to repeat the steps until it did. Retrieved on April 1, 2012 from

Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus
Author: John Larigakis, Boston University
April, 2014
Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS CoV) Since its first description in
2012 by Dr. Ali Zaki1 the Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus has been confirmed
in the infection of 206 individuals and has resulted in 86 deaths2. The disease resulting from MERS
CoV infection presents with a fever of greater than 100.4бµ’F, acute respiratory distress syndrome
and pneumonia associated with acute renal failure1. The origin of the pathogen is in the Middle
East including the following countries: Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabiaand the United
Arab Emirates. Beyond the Arabian Peninsula the following countries have also been affected:
France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom2. If the number of cases, mortality, disease state
and distribution of the infection are considered then it is justifiable to say that MERS CoV is an
emerging infectious disease that must be investigated, understood and followed closely in order to
prevent the loss of life. MERS CoV is a coronavirus of the subgenus known as the
betacoronaviruses. It is an enveloped, positive sense, single stranded RNA species that infects the
respiratory tract and kidney epithelium of both humans and animals3. This virus falls under the
subgroup of betacoronaviruses known as lineage C which, up until this novel virus was identified,
included isolates from bats. Indeed, the coronaviruses BtCoV HKU4 and BtCoV HKU5, which

The Corruption Of The Catholic Church
As one knows today, there are many Churches around the whole world. Although there are many
today, back in the 1500 s, there was only one Church, and that is the Catholic Church. The
Catholic Church was a corrupt church back at the time but no one really knew about it. One
reason is because peasants and other lower class people didn t understand Latin so they couldn t
read the Bible except for the priests. This gave the popeand the whole church administration an idea
to get huge wealth. They used relics, sacred items, to their advantage to give false hope to people,
gave indulgences, a ticket to heaven, for money, and with this money the Catholic Churchgrew more
powerful than the king. Then a man named Martin Lutherstarted practicing the

Advantages Of Location-Based Strategy
(A)
Firstly, the threats that will be posed by Internet to its location based strategy is the competitors of
Mangler s that implement and using internet as their main way in business may be able to develop
and extensive their business and reach their customers globally compared using location based
strategy. Even though Mangler s has 388 physical branches, but they still cannot reach their
customer across the world and there is a limitation. In addition, internet can provide the information
regarding the company, products, deals and sort of with faster speeds also have dazzling

If other MRO competitors use internet based strategy in their business, they might be able to
create an even lower strategy. For example, Wal Mart is one of the largest companies in the
world, and best known for its worldwide chain of supermarkets. The products sold at those stores
can be purchased on the Walmart.com website, where they can be delivered straight to customer
door or picked up at a nearby outlet. Wal Mart is famous for its low prices. Hence, if Mangler s want
to use lower cost strategy Mangler s need to be alert and know all things and emergence that
happen surrounding them so that Mangler s will be able to compete with other MRO competitors
in the market and keep providing lower cost product and services to the customer serve with high
quality. Mangler s need to consider all the threats of internet that will give an impact on their
location based strategy.
Last but not least, it is more effective and efficient for MRO Company to use internet based and
strategy as the customer can save lot of time since most of the products sold are like light bulbs
and washers which is often needed of short notice. Thus, it is more convenient for the customer
itself by open the website, click on their desirable products and make payment through online
banking within a second. Then, the product will be delivered to their house. Rather than the
customer went to the shop and spend money for the expenses such as petrol, public transport and
others only to get one light

Why Did Children Join Communism
Education of Soviet Youth and Expansion of Economic Education
Today the word communist often has a negative connotation, however, this was not always the
case. This brings to question why did children choose to join the Communist Party between the
years of 1917 to 1936? In the Soviet Union between those years youth were educated to devoutly
pledge allegiance as well as fight for a common cause, communism. Starting education at a young
age, through propaganda posters and school curriculum, influencing and sabotaging a child s
perception was made easier. This aided in recruiting many Soviet youth for the communist party.
By analyzing one propaganda poster from the year 1924 titled Always Prepared! The Next Shift...

Including black and white as the only colors beside red makes the red pop out more, making it
the focus of the poster. Red became popular beginning in the French Revolution when
revolutionist were depicted wearing a red phrygian cap, creating a stigma of rebellion. Developing
from this idea of rebellion, Russians used red to empower communism, having it represent the
blood of the workers who died in the struggle against capitalism 4. The word red in Russian
красивый is also very similar to the word beautiful in Russian красный 5
indicating that communism is the beautiful cause that needs to be worked for. Children
constantly seeing red would be taught that communism is a must and they should join the
communist party. As well as color symbolism the images depicted on the columns of the
propaganda poster must also be examined to understand what they taught children of the Soviet.
In one image three children are portrayed fixing a windowsill, which helps to indicate that
children are included in the working class, so fighting for liberation of the working class will
also include self liberation. Another image showcases a Soviet child with his arms around two
foreigners, in the photo all participants are smiling representing joy. This adds to the idea of
liberation of peasants worldwide. Communist want socialism to spread globally so linking
communism to happiness and broadcasting universality by having foreigners depicted teaches
children to evangelize communism, helping it spread. The next image that must be addressed is
the one illustrating a child hard at work in front of a desk filled with books. This teaches Soviet
youth that education is key to liberation. To properly fight for the cause, they must be well
informed and educated. The final image that should be analyzed is one representing a

Psalm 146
Psalm 146, according to many Old Testament scholars, is thought to have been written sometime
between Judah s return from exile in 538 B.C.... [and] the time of Ezra and Nehemiah in the
middle of the fifth century B.C. One reason that scholars think that Psalm 146 was composed at
a later date is because of its use of Aramaisms in verses four (i.e. estonotayw or their plans ) and
five (i.e. sibro or whose hope ), as well as its use of the late Hebrew word zoqep (i.e. lifts up ) in
verse eight. The biblical scholar John Kselman also points out that Psalm 146 is a collection of
partial quotations and [it has] echoes of other biblical poems... [, which clearly denotes an]

Henri Matisse Essay
Henri Matisse
Henri Matisse was born December 31st, 1869 to two storeowners, Emile and Heloise Matisse.
His father wanted him to be a lawyer, so later on in life he could takeover the family business.
They sent him to Henri Martin Grammar School where he studied to be a lawyer. There was a hint
of artist in Henri because while working as a lawyer s assistant he took up a drawing course
(Essers 7). It was for curtain design but it seemed to be destiny for a lawyer s assistant to take up
such a distant hobby as drawing. At the age of 21, his intestinal operation led to appendicitis. Henri
was on bed rest for most of 1890 and to help him occupy his time, his mother bought him a set of
paints. That was the turning point in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Matisse then began studying at a school started by a fellow artist and friend Camillo because he
was not confident enough in his ability to be an independent artist. In 1903, Matisse started
accepting harshful commissions that took a toll on him. He became so sick that he though to give
up painting. This is when he produced Studio under the Eaves. Matisse told his son, That was the
transition from valeurs to colors (Essers 12). The next year he read Paul Signac s From Delacroix
to Neo Impressionism . Matisse began to move further away from the techniques and style of
Impressionism. The famous summer of 1905 was spent in Collioure with Derain and Maurice de
Vlaminck. This summer marked the most important turning point in Matisse s art career. During
the summer, they experimented with the pointillism techniques of Seurat, but towards the end of
the summer, the three artists had moved in a very different direction. The paintings produced in
Collioure rejected Impression and began a new movement. They exhibited their works in the Salon
d Automne, which they also founded in 1903. The paintings, View of Collioure and Le Bonheur de
Vivre received loud criticism from nearly everyone who had seen them. Louis Vauxcelles, gave
them the name the Fauves (Flam 79). They were nicknamed the wild beasts because of their use
and experimentation with bright, unnatural colors. Their grass was not green, but

Human Nature Short Story
Throughout history, there have been millions of philosophers. However, none of them have
uncovered the truth about human nature. The issue of morality has never been truly resolved.
There is an endless amount of arguments about humans being internally good, but there are just as
many for the alternate idea that humansare evil. The short stories that best exemplify humannature
are Child By Tiger , Am I Blue? , and Once Upon a Time . In all these short stories, there is a
climax involving the protagonist and then the author tells us how the supporting characters react.
We see how the town reacts to Dick, how the world reacts to Melvin s second wish, and we see
how the gardener reacts to the boy getting caught in the security system. Wolfe, Gordimer, and
Coville show us that human nature isn t the way we act, but it is the way we react; thus we aren t
inherently good nor evil, but a blend of the two.
Wolfe shows us the evil side of human nature that comes from within. In civilized societies,
people are not allowed to harm others. Therefore, the mob was using Dick s actions as an excuse
to let out their inner evil. These people had a burning hate for African Americans, so they knew
that they could do whatever they wanted to do to Dick without repercussions. The town s inner
savagery first comes out: We ve waited long enough! We re going to get that ni**er! (Wolfe 101).
The N word is used by the townspeople to show their hatred and bitterness told the entire

Hip Hop Vs Jazz Music Essay
What if someone would make a mash up of the two music genres, jazz and hip hop? Jazz music
can date to the early 1900 s but there is no specified founder (www.jazzinamerica.org). Hip hop
can also trace back to an approximate start date, but there is not just one creator (Errey 1997). Jazz
and hip hop have many similarities along with their numerous differences. Jazzmusic and hip hop
music are both genres of music that have long histories and have lots of similarities and
differences, too. First of all, the historical timeline of jazz is very long and complicated, leading
to no single founder of the genre. A thick horde of dark bodies frames into circular gatherings
maybe five or six hundred people moving so as to the pulsations of the music (www.nytimes.com).
This could be an African country or just about everywhere (www.nytimes.com). But, this is New
Orleans, The Big Easy (www.nytimes.com). Crazy, right, how diverse this country is? Anyway,
this is where some people believe jazz first started. However, this source claims, The city that was
the birthplace of jazz was New Orleans...would... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One difference is that both genres use different instruments. Jazz uses many orchestral
instruments, while hip hop, as stated previously, uses mostly computer generated sounds and
beats. An example of this is comparing The Sound of Silence and Hotline Bling s instrumental
use. The Sound of Silence uses a trumpet while Hotline Bling uses technologically edited
sounds. Another difference is the genres birthplaces. Jazz was in the New Orleans area, while
hip hop was more near New York City (Kumar 2011). The genres uses of improvisation are
starkly different (Kumar 2011). Jazz music usually has one musician who goes off and does an
improvised thing as the other musicians keep playing the melody, while in hip hop music, the
melody doesn t usually keep playing while the person rapping

I Don t Believe Youths Should Be Jail For Having...
I don t believe youths should be jail for having consensual sex .Example ,I know of an individual
who had a daughter her age Sixteen years old was dating a seventeen year old boy ,the parents did
not approved the relationship ,but these two seem in love ,as soon as the boy turned eighteen her
mother had him arrested and charged for having sex with her daughter ,that ruined the young man
life, because that stigma as a sex offender, would prevent him from having opportunities in his life
,such as decent jobs. In 2007, Florida created a law known as Romeo and Juliet law, to address
issues such as high school youth being labeled as sexual offenders or sexual predictors, as a
result of participating in consensual sexual relationship. Reason being these stigma, can have
long term consequences, which can affect the offenders, ability to attend his or her child s
school functions, and where the offender can live.(Florida Senate ,2011). Several states have also
participated in the Romeo and Juliet Law this law intention is to protect young sexual offenders
who are close in age to their victims and engage in consensual sex ,from registering as sexual
offenders. However Florida, have done this using a motion or petition process for registration
relief, some have provided age gap provisions. Some states has legalize certain sexual condition
between minors, and /or those close in age to avoid not only registration requirement but to avoid

Before I turn on the TV to NBC, I sprint to my room to get my predicted eleven on pitch players.
Why is it important? It s a ritual for me because I had just spent a few minutes about a week before
calculating which players had the highest percentage of making it to the on pitch eleven. The
common misconception is that club managers simply pick the the best eleven players to take their
best positions to make the best formation. However, there s many more dimensions to building a

The Death Of A Manicurist
Death of a Manicurist When the time comes for a woman, or even a male, to get their nails done,
it is not typical to think about the impact on the workers. The lives of the technicians are deeply
impacted by their jobs and how dangerous the chemicals are they surround themselves with every
day. Sarah Maslin Nir s article Perfect Nails, Poisoned Workers from the New York Times, an
article from Scientific American by Dine Fine Maron, and The United States Department of Labor
gives many reasons why nailsalons need to start protecting their staff. Workers suffer through
painful losses and many health problems; some of the medical problems are life threatening.
The issues caused the chemicals used and the health problems caused seem to be a lot for how
long the products last. The first major medical problem for salon workers are miscarriages and
children having problems once they are born. The chemicals from the products used can affect the
baby months before it is due. Maslin Nir interviewed a woman named Ms. Rocano, and she
recounts what her doctor had told her: When babies are forming in your womb, they absorb
everything, and if they are exposed to anything, it can cause them harm, (Maslin Nir 208). One
chemical that is believed to specifically cause these problems is Dibutyl Phthalate, which, in small
amounts, is used in nail polishes and polish hardener. Another chemical that can affect a woman s
pregnancy is Ethyl methacrylate also known as EMA, which is known to

Elementos a evaluar
2. La PersuasiГіn:
Elementos a evaluar
escasa repercusiГіn en la persuasiГіn.
Se debe evitar que la utilizaciГіn de elementos destinados a agradar

Flexible Discriminant Analysis
The furcula is the main element of avian flight; it is an important origin for flight muscles used in
the down stroke. Many biomechanical functions have been suggested for the Furcular. Originally it
was thought to play a motionless function, acting as a spacer and muscle for flight. Other studies
showed a more active role, where the furcular experience distortions during the wingbeat cycle,
where it spread laterally on the down stroke and rebounding during the upstroke, almost acting like
a spring. This behavior might represent an energy saving adaptation to help with respiration. Past
studies have found that found that subaqueous fliers have more of a V shaped furcular with a high
anteroposterior curvature, whereas soaring bird are more U shaped with low anteroposterior
curvature. This study seeks to clarify this form function relationship through the use of eigenshape
morphometric analysis along with phylogenetic comparative methods (PCMs), and phylogenetic
Flexible Discriminant Analysis (pFDA). Examination of flight modes revealed that intermittent
bounders are associated with narrow interclavicular angles and straight clavicular rami. Short range

observed that the interclavicular angle is an even more important aspect of flight mode than the
curvature, and is positively correlated with body size. This study demonstrates that the Mesozoic

answers to such questions after it is learned she in an adulteress. Hester s scarlet letter serves as a
reminder to herself and her peers of the sins she has committed, and there is a true evolution from
the beginning to the end of the story of the views of not only the letter but the person wearing it

Even though she often uses it to taunt Hester, Pearl is a constant reminder of Hester s sin and is
always making sure she has her scarlet letter. Although it is mentioned the narrator in the custom
house is not Nathaniel Hawthorne, they are both very similar. The narrator is carefully constructed
as being similar to Hester in the sense that they are both isolated by people whom they have no
connection to. The author feels this way working in the custom house surrounded by old men. I
am a citizen of somewhere else (31). Hester, of course, is isolated from the rest of the community
because of her sin. Even though the narrator feels he will be criticized for attempting to make a
writing career, he makes a fictional account of Hester s story anyways. Writing for him is similar
to needle work for Hester, and it is a further comparison of two similar characters. The author
evolves Hester into himself, and it is made clear that is his intention. In conclusion, the evolution of
Hester, the villagers, Pearl, and the author of the scarlet letter that Hester wears is generally seen
as acceptance of her and her sin. The author develops Hester into a woman who gradually
becomes comfortable with the idea of herself and her sin. Although Pearl never clearly
understands it, she recognizes that her mother will forever be a sinner, but is still her mother. The
villagers at first heckle Hester of her scarlet letter, but begin to see her true colors. In short, The

Rhetorical Analysis On Ghost Spuds
During the super bowl this year, Bud Light aired a commercial named Ghost Spuds that featured
a dog ghost named Spuds MacKenzie who was an iconic character of the franchise and a man.
During the commercial a man tells his friend that he wants to stay in his home for the night, when
the phone call ends the dog appears in front of the man. The commercial provides humor and
safety for the product they are selling and has a good platform for influence. This commercial does
demonstrate pathos because of the pity that the viewers are feeling for the man that does not want
to go out with his friends. The viewers feel this because of the reliability, they may be thinking

In 2017, everybody loves Dogs and Bud Light has used their old character to grab the attention
of more than just one audience group. Plus, the commercial airing during the Super Bowl is
kairos because of the popularity and the amount of people watching. This commercial does use
one of the 15 basic emotional appeals. Ghost Spuds used the Need for Affiliation because of
them telling the audience that the man is missing a great time and could possibly lose his
friends because of him deciding to stay home and not go out to drink Bud Light. Ghost Spuds
does use ethos because of the appeals it has to what the world is interested in now. Today s
culture is mostly about having a good time with people you care about and not to mention the
love for dogs. Another example of ethos used in the commercial is the return of Spuds, Spuds was

Aristotle s Six Elements Of Drama Essay
In the popular sitcom TV series Friends (1994 2010), has displayed all of Aristotle s six important
elements throughout the show that were required for the drama. The main plot of the show is
revolving around six best friends living together in Manhattan, and following up with their
everyday personal and professional lives. Throughout the show, all six elements of drama are being
taken place in the modern series showing that regardless of small changes here and there, there are
still connections back to Aristotle s view.
Aristotle s first element is Plot which requires to have the whole, complete, and magnitude. In
the first episode of season 1: The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate, the storyline starts out
with Monica meeting her old high school best friend Rachel. And since Rachel was having some
personal life problems, she ends up moving in with Monica and stays as her best friend till the
end of the show. The whole of the show is Monica and Rachel s relationship from the beginning
till the end has stayed the same. Although eventually Rachel had to move out of Monica s
apartment, their friendship still continued on and is considered to be stronger compared to the
beginning of their meeting. The complete which is also known as the unity of action was
displayed because when the two girls were having problems, both were able to solve and help out
each other. They were able to put each other as their main priority and showing each other the
attention they need. And the magnitude is absolutely present because although it was quite abrupt
with Rachel is moving in with Monica, but as the story went on. Everything was relevant to all the
other characters: Chandler, Joey, Ross, and Phoebe. Which show the whole purpose of the show,
friends are meant to stay together till the end, even though they all had problems with one another
at one certain point, but were still able to move past and have a stronger, inseparable bond
throughout the whole sitcom series.
The second element is Character and each of the characters have displayed moral goodness, true to
life, and had a consistent appearance throughout the show. The first character is Monica Geller, who
is known to be the mom of the group. She has always provided

Is The Use Of Indirect Characterization In Natasha...
The Cellar, by Natasha Preston, is a book about a teenage girl named Summer who gets
kidnapped. Summer gets kidnapped by a man named Clover, who is trying to make his, perfect
family. He keeps four girls in his basement at a time and calls them all by names of flowers, Lilly,
Poppy, Rose, and Violet. Summer, who is referred to as Lilly while she is kidnapper, spends
seven months with three other girls in the cellar trying to survive until they finally escape. While
Lilly is in the cellar she has to watch many horrible things happen, for example, girls getting
stabbed to death by Clover. At the end of the book the police arrive at Clover s house to rescue
the girls. After the girls are found Lilly returns to live a normal life with her familyand new friends.
Natasha Preston used indirect characterization to reveal her characters. We know indirect
characterization was used because, we learned more about Summer as time went on and as she
interacted with other characters. The reader learned her character traits by the way she acted and
who her friends were, rather than the author coming out and telling us about her. By the author

has great friends.

Search For Truth In Letter To The Hebrews, By Socrates
Presocratic philosophers in their search for the truth caught glimpses of Divinity and the truth of
eternal life. This search culminated in Socrates, who through his lifelong search for truth gained
an image of the soul and eternal life similar to the catholic belief of eternal life. In the Phaedrus,
Socrates says that all divine souls go to feast at the banquet (Phaedrus 247b), they climb up and
view a place beyond heavenwhere there is a supreme divine being. What is in this place is without
color and without shape and without solidity, a being that really is what it is, the subject of all true
knowledge, visible only to intelligence (Phaedrus 247c). In his letter to the Hebrews, St. Paul

which he did reach, it was imperfect. Socrates speaks about a heavenly banquet where the
immortal souls go to feast. When they do that, they travel up, to the rim of heaven. Socrates saw
a shadow of truth beyond the pagan concept of heaven. He could discern a place where the gods
went to feast. It seems interesting that the souls went to feast in a place beyond heaven, but not to
feast on food but to feast on pure knowledge. In this banquet, the god s minds are nourished by
intelligence and pure knowledge, as is the mind of any soul. (Phaedrus 247c). Further, the souls are
nourished not by knowledge abstractly, but by a being that really is what it is (Phaedrus 247d),

God Reflection
Almost every day of my life, I ask myself the same question and that is: How will God be present
in my life today? The answer to this question changes every single day because God has a
different plan for me and all of the people that surround me. From what I have seen over the course
of my life, I have noticed that Gods presence has always been there for me on my weakest days
and my strongest. During these times where I have experienced God watching over me, I feel that
my relationship with Him as strengthened and that my faith has grown as well. These moments in
my life make me reflect on what it truly means to have the presence of God in my life and how He
helps me to grow and build a deeper connection with those in my church, school, home, and
especially the Holy Trinity. I know that whatever I am doing today or tomorrow, wherever the
path I am currently walking on takes me, I should take just a moment to take in all that God has
bestowed upon me. Over the course of my existence my understanding and my beliefs about
Christianity has tremendously changed because as we grow older we have the ability to take in
more knowledge than when we were young. When I was a little kid my parents would take me
to church every Sunday and my school would have us go to mass every Wednesday as well, but
as years have flown by me and my family go to church less and less. I feel terrible that I can not

Literature Review On Customer Satisfaction
Literature review:
Customer satisfaction has been a famous topic in marketing practice and study research since
Cardozo s (1965) earlyl study of customer effort, demands and satisfaction. In spite of many try to
measure and explain customer satisfaction, there still does not show to be a accord regarding its
explanation (Giese and Cote, 2000). Customer satisfaction is typically outline as a old used
estimate judgment concerning a specific product or service (Gundersen, Heide and Olsson, 1996).
It is the answer of an estimate process that against pre purchase requirements with perceptions of

Zeithaml (1987) defines perceived quality as the consumer s judgment about an entity s overall
excellence or superiority . Stevens and et al (1995) describe it as, perceived service quality is a
function of the interaction among three independent variables: normative expectations, predictive
expectations, and actual service quality. The lower the expectations the consumers have about what
should happen, the better their perceptions of the actual service. And the higher their expectations
about what will happen, the better their perceptions of the actual service . Whereas, Oliver (1981)
gives the definition of satisfaction as, it is the highlighted psychological state resulting when the
emotion surrounding contadict expectations is coupled with the consumer s prior feelings about
the consumption experience (p.27).
The model is derived from the satisfaction literature that, contrary to the value literature, defines
customer satisfaction as the primary and direct link to outcome measures (e.g., Anderson and

Diction And Views In Herman Melville s Benito Cereno
It is a clichГ© known by many: Always trust your gut. In other words, listen to your intuition as
first impressions matter. This saying reigns true in many works of literature, including Herman
Melville s 1855 novel, Benito Cereno. Throughout the first part of the story, the main character,
Captain Delano, struggles with whether or not to trust a newly encountered ship, the San
Dominick, its inhabitants, or its captain, Benito Cereno. While the novel is third person omniscient,
it is clear that Delano has his doubts about the foreign ship from the beginning due to the original
descriptionof the San Dominick. Melville writes in the third person omniscient point of view in
order to allow the audience to come to their own conclusions about the ship, but also heavily
utilizes diction and sentence structure to give readers clues about what to expect from the
characters and plot. To give the passage context, Delano is finally seeing the San Dominick
clearly for the first time, not yet having met the passengers of the ship. Delano is alone and it can
be assumed that the description is his point of view, due to the fact that the anonymous narrator
appears to be pulling these images and renditions from Delano s mind. Because of this, the reader
is encouraged to think ahead about the ship s culture, its passengers, and the types of things
Delano will encounter if he decides to approach and explore it. Throughout the passage, the author
makes use of an overload of adjectives, all

Disadvantages Of Neonicotinoids
Knock Off Inorganic Pesticides to Coconut Trees The Philippines is now facing a serious industry
problem regarding the infestation of coconut scale insects, commonly known as cocolisap, to large

causing the low productivity of the plant. Cosico (2014) stated that, At least 60 percent of the total
coconut farming areas in the country, most of which are in the CALABARZON area, are infected
with cocolisap and it has crossed over to Basilan in Mindanao Region. Due to this, the government

Limitations of Population Growth
Introduction There are a number of factors that can contribute to the growth of a population and
these trends can be seen in a number of species. It is generally believed, from an ecological
perspective, that populations will display either an exponential of logistic growth rate. If optimal
environments are consistently maintained with no biotic or abiotic limiting factors (excess food,
excess space availability, optimum climactic environment, no predation, etc) then a populationwill
grow in an exponential direction. Species with high maximal relative growth rates do not occupy
infertile habitats because their physiologies are more sensitive to suboptimal habitats and so their
relative growth rates decrease more rapidly as fertility... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Traditional Families In The 1800s
Families in History
There are many ways that the idea of the traditional family has changed over the past several
centuries. For instance prior to the 19th century family was often considered anyone who lived
within a household whether related by blood or not. This included employees and extended family.
The biological family was less sacrosanct, and less sentimentalized, than it would become in the
nineteenth century. (Coontz 35) In society at the time it was socially unacceptable to be separate
and not included as part of a family household. Over time the term family came to encompass the
immediate family, a husband, wife and their children. During the late 1800 s through the mid 1900
s there were emerging ideas of family that were not widely accepted as traditional or normal, these

Gun shots! Chanting killing songs! There are dead bodies everywhere. That s what one would
see if one took a trip to Rwanda in the year 1994. There was an enormous amount of people who
were being killed in Rwanda. This broke out to be a civil war against their two major ethnic
groups. The account of all of the killings became known as the Rwandan Genocide. Rwandas
people were in great danger, and no one was there to help. The United Nations, which is a global
organization with a mission to promote peace throughout the world, failed to help the people of
this country. The UN failed to end the Rwandan Civil War by ignoring the warnings that there
could be massive killings breaking out, also by decreasing the number of troops that were in
Rwanda during the civil war, and sending the number of troops that were needed in Rwanda after
the war ended.
On the UN website, it states, The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide
defines genocide as any of the followings acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part,

Their job is to go into countries that are in need of help, to help them and create a sense of
peace. As of right now in 2013, the UN have 15 peacekeeping operations to four continents. Even
though the UN has been sending the Peacekeepers out to help these war torn countries, there is no
way that they can guarantee success, because many of these countries are in conditions that the
UN cannot overcome. It states on un.org that, Peacekeeping has proven to be one of the most
effective tools available to the UN to assist host countries navigate the difficult path from conflict
to peace. It is noted by the United Nation s website in their article about peacekeeping, that
peacekeeping in the UN has three major principles which are consent of the parties, impartiality,
and non use of force except in self defense and defense of the

Comparing The Machine Stops And The Allegory Of The Cave
Suppose one day you were told you no longer needed to go to work, you could provide enough
food for your family, and your health was taken care of would you do it? Although we may think
we want to live in this kind of world, utopian societies are misleading: similar to the society s
observed in The Machine Stopsby E.M. Forster and The Allegory of the Cave by Plato. No doubt,
the natural intention of human beings is to be virtuous and moral. Ironically however, striving to
live in a utopiaconsequentially is harmful for mankind. Those who strive to live in a perfect world
are obligated to surrender their freedom and frame of mind. Therefore, the intention of this paper is
to analyze Plato and Forster s approach about the consequences of what happens when a rational
agent allows something other than itself to take control over it, and how this can eventually
dehumanize humanity.
Forster does a clever job of emphasizing the powerful destruction technology can do to mankind by
correlating man made machine and religion. In the story, Vashti is seen living in a utopia and is
unaware the Machine has taken control of her life. The story takes a dramatic turn when her son

It is essential to remember that the setting of The Machine Stops was published during America s
rebellion against government corruption and the transition from the industrial revolution to the
progressive era. The fear of living in a dystopia is why Forster warns society about the negative
impact of technology. What we consider utopian may actually be a dystopia in disguise. Once
again, society mistakenly gives technology the same power as god, and therefore allow it to
control the human spirit. In other words, Forster is asserting the idea that worshipping a manmade
creation at the same level or above a deity would not only be foolish, it would be

Aristotle defines what a tragedy is ...etc.(what talks abt) A tragedy consists of six component,
which are listed here in order from most important to least important. Aristotle s structure of
tragedy was interpreted differently by the neoclassical philosopher Corneille. Corneille argued
that Action can become complete only through several others . . . which, by serving preparation,
keep the spectator in a pleasant suspense . . . leave us in the expectation of something which is to
take place in the following one . . . into the shortest possible period, so that the performance may

It was the home of the great works of ancient Greece and Rome. The term classical Greece is

How Is Capulet Change In Romeo And Juliet
In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, there are many characters that change throughout
the play, but the character that changes the most is Capulet. At the beginning of the play,
Capulet loves and cares about Juliet. He wants her to experience the world and enjoy her life
before she is married. Unfortunately, by the end of the play, he is crazy and doesn t care about
her. He gives her an ultimatum to marry Paris or be shunned by the family. When Paris asks for
Juliet s hand in marriage at the beginning of the play, Capulet states: My child is yet a stranger in
the world, / She hath not seen the change of fourteen years; / Let two more summers wither in
their pride, / Ere we may think her ripe to be a bride (1.2.8 11). Capulet s answer shows his care
and respect for his daughter.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Willis O Brien s Use Of Stop Motion In King Kong
King Kong (1933)
The 1933 film King Kong was one of the first feature films to use stop motion as a practical effect.
In that time, it was the only way to create the creatures such as those and have them interact with
the live action characters. Willis O Brien was the lead special effects artist on King Kong; he was
one of the pioneers of stop motion animation. Throughout King Kong, many different practical
techniques were used to bring the film to life including, stop motion, miniature sets, mattes and full
scale practical creatures.
For the film, 74 different Kong were created, they were all alike, their only difference being in
their size. The largest Kong was 50 ft. tall, its face alone, from chin to hair line, was 7 ft. tall. The
biggest Kong was only seen fully assembled once during the film and that was at the end after
being after being shot down by aeroplanes. Sometimes multiple Kongs had to be used in the one
sequence. This all depended on how far away the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

life had advanced a lot. Motion Capture (Mocap) was the primary tool used in creating the creature.

  • 2. Compare To Patterns Of Criminal Activity And Violence In... Compare to patterns of criminal activity and violence in England during this period. Explain their effect on the development of constitutional law and political freedom in England. Finally, explain how English Common Law influenced the American criminal justice system. Provide an example. England has a reasonable repute for cruelty. A mutual awareness of the Middle Ages is that society was abused by continuous violence and social indifference against fatalities by the insistent dignity of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse continuously pushing back and forth across Europe. After reading Chapter 3 in our book. The two patterns of criminal activity and violence I would like to compare that took place in England during this period are blood feud s and Trial by Ordeal. Crime control was built on Kindred grouping an individual s relatives because if they were injured by another group they had their own supporters. Their supports could bail them out of trouble by paying compensation to the other member in which they killed or hurt families. If a member gets expelled from group they are deprived from being protected and this gives the sheriff permission to injure, or kill the expelled individual through the practice of outlawry. Rather than being called an outlaw, the person is named an adjurer. An individual who withdraws somberly, which involved him wearing a white robe and cross and being subjected to all types of persecutions, an abjurer was not permitted to remain in a ... • 3. Censorship Of Female Nipples On Social Media Censorship of Female Nipples on Social Media Censorship has become a controversial topic on social media platforms. This has been clearly exemplified online with the use of hashtags like #freethenipple. The #freethenipple was spearheaded by activist and filmmaker Lina Esco, which will be explained more thoroughly. The popularity of these social media website has allowed campaigns like #freethenipple to have worldwide success. In addition to this campaign I will be taking a deeper look into Courtney Demone, a transgender women who has tested Instagrams censorship policies regarding the female chest and what Instagram considers female. With these campaigns it is important that social media platforms like Instagram review its policies regarding nudity and the female nipple. Currently all of the pictures that Demone posted on Instagram revealing her nipple have been removed except for one where she does not refer to herself as a female. However, the same pictures remain on Facebook. When Instagram was asked about why Demone pictures were removed they released a statement saying, they understood the importance of an individual s personal journey (transitioning) and that they do their best to help people express themselves on their sites. Schoffstall Introduction In a normal human being the heart correctly functions by the blood first entering through the right atrium from the superior and inferior vena cava. This blood flow continues through the right atrioventricular valve into the right ventricle. The right ventricle contracts forcing the pulmonary valve to open leading blood flow through the pulmonary valve and into the pulmonary trunk. Blood is then distributed from the right and left pulmonary arteries to the lungs, where carbon dioxide is unloaded and oxygen is loaded into the blood. When all these materials are available the computer was turned on and three of the electrodes were placed on the body of my teammate. Two electrodes were positioned on the medial surface of each leg just above the ankle, and the last electrode was on the right anterior forearm at her wrist. When these were attached the subject was asked to lie down on the cot and relax. We then attached her to the EKG machine with three colored cables. The white cable was placed on the electrode on the right forearm, the black cable was placed on right leg and the red cable was attached to the electrode on the left leg. Once the patient was correctly hooked up to the EKG the BIOPAC Student Lab Program was started. Lesson five is the one we used for this experiment and once it had been chosen we label it and started the experiment. There were four conditions we needed to measure; the first being lying down. The disease resulting from MERS CoV infection presents with a fever of greater than 100.4бµ’F, acute respiratory distress syndrome and pneumonia associated with acute renal failure1. The origin of the pathogen is in the Middle East including the following countries: Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabiaand the United Arab Emirates. Beyond the Arabian Peninsula the following countries have also been affected: France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom2. If the number of cases, mortality, disease state and distribution of the infection are considered then it is justifiable to say that MERS CoV is an emerging infectious disease that must be investigated, understood and followed closely in order to prevent the loss of life. MERS CoV is a coronavirus of the subgenus known as the betacoronaviruses. It is an enveloped, positive sense, single stranded RNA species that infects the respiratory tract and kidney epithelium of both humans and animals3. Although there are many today, back in the 1500 s, there was only one Church, and that is the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church was a corrupt church back at the time but no one really knew about it. One reason is because peasants and other lower class people didn t understand Latin so they couldn t read the Bible except for the priests. This gave the popeand the whole church administration an idea to get huge wealth. • 8. Why Did Children Join Communism Education of Soviet Youth and Expansion of Economic Education Today the word communist often has a negative connotation, however, this was not always the case. This brings to question why did children choose to join the Communist Party between the years of 1917 to 1936? In the Soviet Union between those years youth were educated to devoutly pledge allegiance as well as fight for a common cause, communism. Starting education at a young age, through propaganda posters and school curriculum, influencing and sabotaging a child s perception was made easier. Red became popular beginning in the French Revolution when revolutionist were depicted wearing a red phrygian cap, creating a stigma of rebellion. Developing from this idea of rebellion, Russians used red to empower communism, having it represent the blood of the workers who died in the struggle against capitalism 4. The word red in Russian красивый is also very similar to the word beautiful in Russian красный 5 indicating that communism is the beautiful cause that needs to be worked for. Children constantly seeing red would be taught that communism is a must and they should join the communist party. As well as color symbolism the images depicted on the columns of the propaganda poster must also be examined to understand what they taught children of the Soviet. In one image three children are portrayed fixing a windowsill, which helps to indicate that children are included in the working class, so fighting for liberation of the working class will also include self liberation. Another image showcases a Soviet child with his arms around two foreigners, in the photo all participants are smiling representing joy. This adds to the idea of liberation of peasants worldwide. Communist want socialism to spread globally so linking communism to happiness and broadcasting universality by having foreigners depicted teaches children to evangelize communism, helping it spread. The next image that must be addressed is the one illustrating a child hard at work in front of a desk filled with books. This teaches Soviet youth that education is key to liberation. The paintings produced in Collioure rejected Impression and began a new movement. They exhibited their works in the Salon d Automne, which they also founded in 1903. The paintings, View of Collioure and Le Bonheur de Vivre received loud criticism from nearly everyone who had seen them. Louis Vauxcelles, gave them the name the Fauves (Flam 79). • 12. Human Nature Short Story Throughout history, there have been millions of philosophers. However, none of them have uncovered the truth about human nature. The issue of morality has never been truly resolved. There is an endless amount of arguments about humans being internally good, but there are just as many for the alternate idea that humansare evil. The short stories that best exemplify humannature are Child By Tiger , Am I Blue? , and Once Upon a Time . In all these short stories, there is a climax involving the protagonist and then the author tells us how the supporting characters react. We see how the town reacts to Dick, how the world reacts to Melvin s second wish, and we see how the gardener reacts to the boy getting caught in the security system. Wolfe, Gordimer, and Coville show us that human nature isn t the way we act, but it is the way we react; thus we aren t inherently good nor evil, but a blend of the two. Wolfe shows us the evil side of human nature that comes from within. In civilized societies, people are not allowed to harm others. Therefore, the mob was using Dick s actions as an excuse to let out their inner evil. These people had a burning hate for African Americans, so they knew that they could do whatever they wanted to do to Dick without repercussions. Jazz music can date to the early 1900 s but there is no specified founder (www.jazzinamerica.org). Hip hop can also trace back to an approximate start date, but there is not just one creator (Errey 1997). Jazz and hip hop have many similarities along with their numerous differences. Jazzmusic and hip hop music are both genres of music that have long histories and have lots of similarities and differences, too. Many biomechanical functions have been suggested for the Furcular. Originally it was thought to play a motionless function, acting as a spacer and muscle for flight. Other studies showed a more active role, where the furcular experience distortions during the wingbeat cycle, where it spread laterally on the down stroke and rebounding during the upstroke, almost acting like a spring. This behavior might represent an energy saving adaptation to help with respiration. Past studies have found that found that subaqueous fliers have more of a V shaped furcular with a high anteroposterior curvature, whereas soaring bird are more U shaped with low anteroposterior curvature. This study seeks to clarify this form function relationship through the use of eigenshape morphometric analysis along with phylogenetic comparative methods (PCMs), and phylogenetic Flexible Discriminant Analysis (pFDA). This search culminated in Socrates, who through his lifelong search for truth gained an image of the soul and eternal life similar to the catholic belief of eternal life. In the Phaedrus, Socrates says that all divine souls go to feast at the banquet (Phaedrus 247b), they climb up and view a place beyond heavenwhere there is a supreme divine being. What is in this place is without color and without shape and without solidity, a being that really is what it is, the subject of all true knowledge, visible only to intelligence (Phaedrus 247c). • 31. Diction And Views In Herman Melville s Benito Cereno It is a clichГ© known by many: Always trust your gut. In other words, listen to your intuition as first impressions matter. This saying reigns true in many works of literature, including Herman Melville s 1855 novel, Benito Cereno. Throughout the first part of the story, the main character, Captain Delano, struggles with whether or not to trust a newly encountered ship, the San Dominick, its inhabitants, or its captain, Benito Cereno. While the novel is third person omniscient, it is clear that Delano has his doubts about the foreign ship from the beginning due to the original descriptionof the San Dominick. Melville writes in the third person omniscient point of view in order to allow the audience to come to their own conclusions about the ship, but also heavily utilizes diction and sentence structure to give readers clues about what to expect from the characters and plot. To give the passage context, Delano is finally seeing the San Dominick clearly for the first time, not yet having met the passengers of the ship. Delano is alone and it can be assumed that the description is his point of view, due to the fact that the anonymous narrator appears to be pulling these images and renditions from Delano s mind. Because of this, the reader is encouraged to think ahead about the ship s culture, its passengers, and the types of things Delano will encounter if he decides to approach and explore it.
