The history of the Islamic religion begins in 610 C.E., with Muhammad ibn Abdallah, a merchant
who every year during the month of Ramadan would retire to a cave on the summit of Mount Hira,
just outside Mecca in the Arabian Hijaz, where he prayed, fasted and gave alms to the poor. This
was a common practice for many Arabs in the peninsula. Muhammad was a merchant, a member of
the tribe Quraysh which had become quite wealthy trading among bordering countries. The
Quraysh were focused on accumulating more wealth but at the expense of the tribe s poorer family
groups, known as clans.
A spiritual restlessness had become apparent among many of the Arab countries, as they knew
that Judaism and Christianity were more refined than the Arab s own pagan customs. Many
Arabs began to believe that they were left out by al Lah (the High God of their pantheon, literally

On 5/16/17 I was able to visit Ms. Perez at Select Specialty Hospital. I met with Theresa the
internal case manager from Select Hospital. We were able to have a case conference at the
bedside with her husband. Throughout the whole meeting Ms. Perez appeared to be sleeping. She
remains on a 28% trachea mask, nasal gastric tube, tube feeding for nutrition, non weight bearing to
the lower extremities secondary to fractures (non weight bearing is projected at 6 to 8 more
weeks), and the right arm has a cast. Occupational therapysaid they get her up in a cardiac chairs
but she is a full lift by staff. Ms. Perez weighed 312 lbs. Respiratory therapy reported that they will
try to wean her trachea size down and work towards capping and then removing at some point. Mr.
Perez asked what pain medication she was on because all she does is sleep. I asked the case
manager to check and she what her level of alertness is on the second and third shifts. Per the
EMS and ER report Ms. Perez was thought to have had a seizure and a full cardiac arrestat the scene
with active CPR by a bystander, but once in ER she was alert and oriented. The CT scan of the
head was negative. Nursing reported that she is only on one Norco every eight hours for pain
and a very low dose of Gabapentin. He also reported that a Neuropsychologist was in on Sunday
to see her, and he increased her Cymbalta. We did confirm with Mr. Perez that before the accident
Ms. Perez used a walker in the house and that he helped

The disparity between the Soviet Union economy and that of the United States was what alerted
Gorbachev that the Communist economy was not doing well. Soviet s command economy was not
concerned with matching supply and demand but with administering inputs and outputs. In other

During the days of the early Roman Republic (509 264 B.C.), two social classes existed in Rome,

to their dominance of the political system (during the early days of the Roman Republic only

My mind is telling me it is not actually there until I count and see that the object is still in the
same place. Lastly, if I have an important document or something that is very valuable I will have
to stare at it until I can talk myself into knowing I still have the object. Sometimes I have to

Beloved by, Toni Morrison is a phenomenal book revolving a story of an ex slave women named
Sethe. Throughout Beloved, the audience is able to witness the idea of the trauma caused by,
slavery. Most importantly, the audience witnessed the power of motherly love and the hard
decisions some mothers have to make. Specifically, readers was able to see motherly love through
the circumstances of slavery. Especially, through the relationship between Sethe and her children.
Sethe is a traumatized ex slave and was forced to do many actions that were questionable
throughout the story. However, Sethe s actions were due to her strong motherly love. Sadly, it was
due to slavery which forced her to make questionable and harsh decisions in order for, the wellbeing
of her children. Indisputably, motherly love is different than any other love but, motherly love in
the conditions of slavery is much more unique. Throughout her time as a mother, she was forced to
make choices that no typical mother would ever do such as, killing her daughter, Beloved and
attempting to kill the rest of her kids. Despite potential critiques and her actions, Sethe s motherly
love is unusual than other forms of motherly love because of the factor of slavery but, she is still a
great mother because she protects her children, makes sacrifices for them, and whatever she does is

Patient R.M. is an eighty year old Caucasian male. His religion is Christian. R.M. was retired
from work. He is a husband, father and grandfather per his wife. R.M. had no known allergies and
is a full code status. He has a past medical history of diabetes, coronary artery disease, heart valve
disease, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure (HF), hypertension and kidney disease. His
wife was at bedside attentive to his care. The diagnostic tests performed showed he had severe
congestive heart failure and was in need of an arterial graft in his coronary arteries. The nurse on
shift was Vivian and the doctor assigned to R.M. was Doctor Linton. The development level that
R.M. falls in at eighty years old was integrity versus despair. He displayed the characteristics of
being in the category of despair.
He was admitted to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center (LBMMC) on July 23rd, 2014 with a
chief complaint of chest pain and dyspnea. The pain was occurring for three to four days with a
non productive cough. He was having severe orthopnea, requiring two pillows just to fall asleep.
Once asleep, R.M was having nocturia forcing him to wake up several times a night. He finally
decided to go to the emergency room, which is when he was admitted to the third floor.
