Tasers Can Stop The Heart And Kill Essay
Outlaw Tasers
Some may say tasers are good and that they are lifesaving, but the shock that comes from the taser
can be extremely painful and life threatening. If the taser does not take a life, it can ultimately
impact and alter the taser victim s life. Furthermore, like most products the taser is not always one
hundred percent effective or reliable. Due to how dangerous the taser is, with intention or not, and
the many outcomes by its use, they should be banned.
Though it is suggested the taser would be a safer solution to apprehend an attacking person rather
than firing a gun at them instead, there is a defect that prevents it from doing so. For the TASER
device to be effective, both electrode barbs must hit the target for the device to ... Show more

This, ...disadvantage is that ...[there is] only...one shot [he or she] ha[s] to wind up and re pack
the electrode wires, as well as load a new gas cartridge, each time [he or she] fire[s] (37). Also
when firing, the probes have to be at a vertical position aiming at a standing target. If the
electrode barbs were to fail to apprehend the target, the one using the taser would be put at risk
since they would have to put the taser back together properly and make sure the probe cartridge is
place accurately for another chance to fire. It may seem easy to put the taser back properly, but
there are precautions one would have to take to be safe from harm to themselves.
To avoid being tased, there are safety measures one should take such as when loading and
unloading the taser s cartridges. One must hold the taser on the device s either side or top. These
precautions while: LOADING:
1.Verify that the safety switch is in the down (SAFE) position.
2.Point the device in a safe direction.
3.Place the cartridge into the front of the weapon until an audible click is heard.
UNLOADING:
1.Verify that the safety switch is in the down (SAFE) position.
2.Point the device in a safe direction.
3.Depress the tabs on the sides of the cartridge and remove. (38)
If the holder of the taser forgets to put the taser into the safe position, the taser might accidently
discharge. Since the taser is a sensitive device, it should be handled

Self Reflection On Teaching And Learning
I believe a successful learning experience is engaging and valued by the students. I believe
students will value what they are learning if they believe what they re learning is relevant.
Relevance is important to teaching and learning because it is directly related to student
engagement and motivation (Frymier Schulman, 1995; Martin Dowson, 2009). Marsh (2008),
states a positive classroom environment provides a sense of security, community, belonging and
identity (Marsh, 2008). Based on my experience as a practicing teacher, I have found establishing
clear expectations within the classroom assist in maintaining control and discipline, to create a
safe learning environment (Fatt Hee, 1996). I believe within all classrooms, students diversity
should be valued. This creates a discrimination free environment and ensures students feel safe
and included (Philips, 2010). According to Stanford Parkay (2007) students are more engaged in
class when learning experiences are satisfying, challenging and friendly. There is no one size fits
all teaching strategy for all students. Therefore teachers must use a variety of teaching strategies to
cater for a variety of different learners (Gill, 2013). It is important for teachers to regularly evaluate
their practices and whether they are meeting the learning needs of all students (Zeichner Liston,
1987). Self evaluation can assist teachers to improve the educational experiences provided for
students and assist in identifying the professional education you need to further develop your
capacity to teach well (Schwartz, n.d.). As a future teacher developing learning programs, teaching,
assessing, providing feedback on student learning and reporting to parents/carers are skills I must
be proficient in. Standard 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning On my most
recent placement I taught a series of lessons (artefact) for a year 8 Health and Physical Education
class. I had full responsibility for planning and teaching the lessons. I planned multidimensional
lessons which enriched my pedagogical approach and students learning outcomes. When teaching
the lessons it was essential I implement strategies and practices that would enable me to

Alexander Weygers Essay
Alexander Weygers, a man born two years before Orville and Wilbur Wright took to the air, always
had a fascination with flight.
My belief was that man had copied the bird under the erroneous impression that the most obvious
way to fly is to copy the bird s flight, he said. To me, it was as impractical to make a plane like a
bird as it would be to make an automobile look like a horse or a motorcycle like a man.
Weygers first got the idea for his flying machine in 1927 when he was working as a nautical
engineer. The concept was inspired not by a bird, but a dolphin.
It was early one morning at sea when he observed with fascination a dolphin that appeared to swim
effortlessly in front of the ship.
He kept it up for at least 10 minutes, Weygers said. I asked... Show more content on

The dolphin wasn t swimming at all. It was actually riding on a cushion of water. The ship, as it
moved through the ocean, pushed a wave of water ahead of it, and the dolphin was riding that wave.
The idea of riding a wave lingered in Weygers brain, even as his life went through an abrupt
change. A shattered man after his wife died in childbirth in 1927, his sorrow deepened when his
family was captured by the Japanese.
Desperate the help them, Weygers was told it was nearly impossible to access the prison camps
due to Java s rugged terrain. With this news, the flame for Weygers flying machine was lit again.
World War II was the first all out air war, and there was a clear need to develop short or vertical
take off aircraft.
When he returned to the United States, Weygers joined Marian in Los Angeles, where he wound up
working for Northrop Aviation before moving to Carmel Valley. The helicopterwas just being
developed and Weygers was attracted to the project.
Instinctively Weygers realized that helicopters were highly vulnerable. They had ungainly boxlike
shapes and their exposed rotors were clearly a weak

The Uniqueness of the American Constitution
The Uniqueness of the American Constitution We the People of the United States, in order to form
a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense,
promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do
ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. This document, written
more than 200 years ago is still the backbone that allows America to be an example of freedom and
righteousness to the rest of the world. Unlike any other government doctrine, the Constitution has
remained an active governing force through the changes of American society. It allows its citizens

The states hold just enough power to keep the federal government from having complete control.
This adds a balance that had no duplicate in any country, which perhaps is what leaves many
people dreaming of America. One of the elements people incorporate into the American dream is
religious freedom. The governing forces of this country have no religious or denominational theme.
Instead, the founding fathers made it clear that a government should function according to basic
human decency and morale, not religion. A strict separation of church and government is declared
in the Constitution. This is not to prevent holiness from entering politics, but to keep politics from
entering holiness. Often times in governing bodies, though the motives are pure, the outcome is
somewhat crooked. This is why such a separation is necessary; to keep government from
corrupting church. Another reason is simply to prevent governing bodies from dictating
individual beliefs, because America was never meant to be a dictatorship. From the start,
Americans, like all groups of people needed an example. They needed someone not to be a
dictator, but a leader. Due to the division of powers in the federal government today, the threat of
dictatorship is almost non existent. The President can be overridden by Congress as well as by the

that should have been expected was that Queen Elizabeth would have an impacted on the society
that she gave her name to. The one thing that wasn t expected however was the extent to which
Queen Elizabeth would influence fashion. Queen Elizabeth was passionate about fashion and
she spread her love for it through out the kingdom. One of Queen Elizabeth s talents was her
ability to use any situation to her political advantage (Boucher 17). She wanted to be seen as a
person with power and capability and she thought rich cloths would help obtain that opinion. The

Personal And Physical Consequences Of Amed Use
Personal and Physical Consequences of AMED Use: A Survey Questionnaire LYLE RIGHETTI

associated with alcohol mixed with energy drinks (AmED) in comparison to alcohol use alone. A
web based format for the online version of the Alcohol Timeline Followback (TLFB) was
completed by 876 students during their second week tutorial of Introduction to Psychology 105. Of
these students, 625 were used for the study as they had reported drinking alcohol within a 28 day

This type of behaviour has become increasing popular among university and college students due
to the excessive marketing of energy drinks and alcohol (Matthew Cronin Craig S. Wright,
2005) Recent studies concerning college students suggest heavy episodic drinking continues to
be a major health problem that is associated with legal, academic and health problems. The
consumption of AmEDs has been receiving increased research attention due to its association
with heavy drinking (Lindsey Varvil Weld, Miesha Marzell, Rob Turrisi, Kimberly A. Mallett
Michael J. Cleveland, 2013). This recent phenomenon is concerning researchers as they
discover the related consequences of AmED use. Researchers use the Anticipated Effects of
Alcohol Scale (AEAS) in order to measure a comprehensive sampling that varied in positive and
negative effects, as well as high or low arousal in order to identify plausible outcomes of
drinking (Meghan E. Morean, Teresa A. Treat William R. Corbin, 2012). It has been estimated
that almost half of 18 24 year olds in Australia have consumed AmEDs and 10% consume them
weekly. 90% of adults, 83% of 13 17 year olds and 63% of 6 12 year olds consume caffeine daily.

A Metamorphosis Of The Paperweight, By George Orwell
Motolani Osinowo BOX # 2758 25 October, 2017 PROF. HODGE COURSE AHS 1000# SEC
#06 Paper One Final A metamorphosis of the paperweight 1984, by George Orwell, is an
overwhelming novel that seeks to notify humanity about the dangers of authoritarian rule and
the aftermath of it all. In the novel, the paperweight is one of the greatest symbols because it is
futile and beauty exists in it. However it is a sign of rebellion, through its simple and yet
peculiar nature, in the eyes of The Party; it contradicts the idea that everything and everyone
must be useful. One can come to a consensus that the coral and the glass dome represent Winston
and the upper room or party, respectively. This is due to the fact that the glass and or room
encases the coral or in this case Winston, or so he thinks. One is also aware that the paperweight
reveals a part of the past, which sparks Winston s curiosity to what the hope for freedom really
meant in the past this is a form of rebellion as the idea of freedom from Oceana is forbidden by
the party. However, Orwell argues that the seemingly positive significance of the paperweight will
be at a state of compromise through the use of sense perception, the remembrance of the past, and
the destruction of the paperweight. Because the paperweight is a representation of Julia and
Winston in the secrecy of the room, it reveals an inaccurate psychological form of the truth. By
referring to terms such as light (Orwell, p.130) gazes (Orwell, p.130)

The Theme Of The Taming Of The Shrew By William Shakespeare
Love and friendship, sadness and pain, birth and death all are proven to be constants throughout
history. Even as centuries go by and cultures evolve or diminish, there will be concepts that never
die out; ideas that are everlasting in time. One, who proved this, is William Shakespeare. His
pieces were first created in the late 1500s; nonetheless, his writing is still relevant even today,
almost 5 centuries later. In Greenway s school play, the setting was moved to the 1970s, yet the
play s aroma withstood the changes. Therefore, changing the context of one of his plays, such as
The Taming of the Shrew, minimally effects the appeals which can be seen through the consistency
of the audience, his unfading persona, and universal message. Changing... Show more content on

One message of the play is that love is an addiction. In the original play set in the 16th century,
various individuals seek love from another; the same is true in Greenway s adaptation. In both,
the characters fantasize and attempt the most ridiculous ways to steal the heart of their true
love . Although the adaptation is set centuries later, it stays true to the message by incorporating
these fanatics which allows the message to live on. Shakespeare developed his plays in a way
that could be recreated for centuries; he made his ideas to be relevant for the present and the
future. Thus, if the message was no longer present in Greenway s play, then the entire play
would have to be different. In that case, it is not a Shakespeare play if the drama is gone: it s
just a boring play. Then again, one could see how the message is slightly altered. Love during
the 1500s differs from love in the 1970s due to arranged marriages being popular in the past. In
the 1500 1600s, love could often referred to marriage, but in the 1970s love meant to have a deep
affection for another. With all considered, the message is altered due to the understanding of love
from the different time periods. Still, the message stays relatively close. In all, the message stays
true to its roots despite the context

Examples Of Post Colonialism
Introduction
This thesis aims to read Joseph Conrad s Heart of Darkness (1898), and Nostromo, A Tale of
Seaboard (1904) in a post colonialist perspective. Post colonialism is a theory applied to literature
and developed after colonialism, in middle of the 20th century. The theory is based on colonized
countries by the colonial powers. The concept of postcolonialism is connected with the effects of
colonization on societies and cultures. The term has been used by literary critics to discuss various
effects of colonization after the late 1970s. Post Colonialism is the hyphenated term which marks

Surgical Castration Of Male Cattle
THE USE OF TOPICAL ANESTHESIA FOR PAIN ALLEVIATION DURING SURGICAL
CASTRATION OF BEEF CALVES
S.J. FABER
Summary
I. INTRODUCTION
Surgical castration is a general cattle husbandry procedure whereby the testicles of the males are
removed or altered in order to stop the production of male hormones (NSW DPI, 2004). Castration
of male cattle is considered to be an unpleasant but necessary practice for economic, safety and
management reasons within production systems (O Neill Webb, 2008; NSW DPI, 2004; Lomax
Windsor, 2013). However, despite the knowledge that all physical methods of castration cause pain
(Stafford, 2007; Kent et al, 1995), the procedure is often performed without the use of anesthesia or
analgesia.

The period of oppression followed; the Pharaoh ordered the Jews to build the cities of Pithom
and Ramesses. To avoid a population explosion among the Hebrews, Pharaoh ordered each
newborn son to be thrown into the river. Moses was nevertheless preserved by his mother for
the first three months of his life before she finally decided to put him in a rush basket on the
river s edge. The Pharaoh s daughter discovered him, rescued him and gave him to a nurse, none
other than his own mother. This was because Moses s sister had watched to see who would find
the baby, had pretended not to recognize him and then recommended to the Princess a nurse who
was really the child s mother. He was treated as one of the Pharaoh s sons and given the name
Moses .
God ordered Moses to go and find the Pharaoh and lead his brothers out of Egypt. Aaron, Moses s
brother, helped him in this task. This is why Moses, once he had returned to Egypt, went with his
brother to visit the Pharaoh who was the successor of the king under whose reign he had long ago
been born.
The Pharaoh refused to allow the Jews in Moses s group to leave Egypt. God revealed Himself to
Moses once again and ordered him to repeat his request to Pharaoh. According to the Bible, Moses
was eighty years old at this time. Through magic, Moses showed the Pharaoh that he had
supernatural powers. This was not enough however. God sent the famous plagues down upon
Egypt. The rivers were changed into blood,

much time getting an education, but is the environment they re in actually safe? There are many
causes of school shootings and so they are effects.
The reality of the situation is that there are many numbers of reasons that a school shooting may
happen. There have been 142 school shootings in the United States since 2013, as indicated by a
record made by Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
There are many reasons we need to use for the reasons for school shootings however the most
prevalent one is harassing. According to nobullying.com, ВЁOver 77 percent of students have been
bullied verbally, mentally, and physically. Each day about 160,000 students miss school because of
bullying or because of their fear of being bullied.ВЁ According to nveee.org, ВЁ86% of students
said, other kids picking on them, making fun of them or bullying them causes teenagers to turn
to lethal violence in schools.ВЁ When a student gets harassed or bullied it adds anger inside of
them and hate. The feeling of being picked on and having this negative attention can make a
child act out or feel hatred and somehow want a way to let the anger out. They could also have it
all stuffed inside with all of these horrible thoughts and one day decide to explode which could
result in a horrible outcome. Emotional wellness issues have been frequently shown another big
cause of these shootings. Most school shooters were mentally sick or demonstrated side effects of
psychological wellness issues. An opportunity for mental and psychiatric help could help stop these
shootings. According to newyorker.com, ВЁ, from 2011 and 2013, more people believe that mass
shootings result from a failure of the mental health system than from easy access to guns. Eighty
per cent of the population believes that mental illness is at least partially to

A Brief Discussion on the Death Penalty
The death penalty has been an ongoing debate for a long period of time. There are many
Americans who are for the death penalty and it seems just as many against it. Most do not
believe that this country will ever come to an agreement on the subject. It is best that the
government allows each state to decide how it will handle its criminals. In recent news, in the
state of Oklahoma Clayton Lockett s botched execution created a nationwide revisiting of the
death penalty. Politicians are now suggesting that a firing squad replace lethal injections. He
died a massive heart attack it took 40 minutes to die. He was charge with raped first degree and

Puritans And The New World Essay
Over the years, people broadcast the Puritans as a group of people who were extremely legalistic
and against anything that would be considered fun in the modern world. This incorrect broadcast of
the Puritans has led to many misconceptions about how they lived when they came to the New
World and settled in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The Puritans were not legalistic, but rather
sought to please God by creating a society that focused on fulfilling their calling through the
institutions of family, work, education, and government in a positive environment. This led to a
fruitful society when it followed in its original intentions.
The Puritans believed that God instituted society and expected to see Christian principles prevail
within (173). The goal of the Puritans was not to be legalistic but to please the God who sent His
Son to save them from their sins. As a result, they sought to establish laws that aligned with
Christian principles. One Puritan, Thomas Cartwright, even said that the commonwealth must be
made to agree with the church [that is Christian principles]. Laws were not instituted to force action
of the citizens but sought to ensure that the citizens of the colony followed the commands of God
laid out in the Bible. While this motivation to obey the Word of God in all portions does
substantiate the claim towards legalism, a deeper study of the term legalism shows that the Puritans
were not legalistic.
According to the definition of legalism, the Puritans were

Pros And Cons Of The National Airspace System
1. Introduction The National Airspace System (NAS) has been becoming busier ever since the
Wright Brothers first took off and the first air mail routes were created in the early 1900s. During
this day in age the NAS supports nearly 87,000 flights per day and is immensely growing as the
need for transportation of goods, people, and services are constantly in demand and even growing
in demand. With the introduction of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into the NAS, the airspace
is getting even more congested due to the lack of set in stone regulations from the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA). Now that UAS are becoming more common amongst the general population,
the airways are become much less predictable and much less safe, which causes a threat to the
manned general aviation community. Many of the manned aircraft in the sky are non cooperative,

One of the biggest disadvantages that ICAO states in their report is that the only source for
pinpointing the aircraft location is GPS, which is not a good way to ensure that the position is
accurate. It is also not good because the system does not have any back up way to find the
position. Stated in the ADS B Radar patent, a big disadvantage is that because of the need to use
GPS with ADS B, the possibility of jamming that could ruin the DAA capability between
cooperative aircraft. While this is a disadvantage, the FAA should be able to reduce the
likelihood of inaccurate positions by enforcing regulation that could be put forth. Another way to
compensate for the loss of GPS is that the ADS B Radar patent describes how it can modify the
system by adding a radar processor thus making the ADS B also act as a primary radar system for
detecting non cooperative

How to Become a Bow Hunter Essay examples
Bow hunting can be a fun and exiting sport to do. But first you must learn how to do so. There
several steps involved becoming a successful bow hunter. You must have proper equipment, good
hunting habitat, and skill with a little technique. Have a nice bow with comfortable poundage that
you can draw back easily fully dressed. Too much poundage will surely give you away. A compound
bow or a recurve bow will both work well. Compound bows are more expensive and are require
frequent tuning. Recurve bows are simple and quite. The choice is up to you.
Bow hunting is relatively not a cheap sport to do. You must first purchase a tree stand with a

of ATV will help. As long as it has front and rear racks. These will allow you to strap your
equipment down and scout larger plots of land. This will allow for finding that just right hunting
blind. If you happen to shoot a deer the DNR does allow you to retrieve it using your ATV. This
means you can enter the woods (off the trail) to retrieve your deer. If you have never dragged a
deer, it is very hard. Your ATV will make things much easier. Having an ATV is not necessary, but
they are a lot of fun.Older people who cannot walk well might appreciate these more than younger
people.
Try to select an area where the hunting pressure is not too high. Hunting in an area that is
overcrowded is much harder. Having to compete for land and deer population will limit your
chances to be successful in hunting deer. It is much easier to find a friend with private property.
This way you can set up where you want and not have to worry about having a neighbor. Private
property is also nice because the deer are not always running scared because the hunting pressure is
not so high. When

Urinary System Research Paper
The urogenital tract which is also known as the genitourinary system involves organs that are used
for sexual reproduction and the formation and secretion of urine both in men and woman. The
urinary tract consists of the bladder, kidneys, ureters, and urethra. The kidneys remove metabolic
wastes from the blood. Ureters are a pair of tubular organs that extend from the kidneyto the bladder.
The bladder stores urineand empties it into the urethra as an exit. In males, the urethra is also a
terminal organ of the reproductive tract. The male reproductive system also produces, maintains

The Indian Premier League (often abbreviated as IPL) is a professional league for Twenty20
cricket competition in India. It was initiated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)
headquartered in Mumbai supervised by BCCI Vice President Chirayu Amin, current chairman
commissioner of IPL, and CEO, Sundar Raman. It currently contested by 10 teams (franchises)
consisting of players from different countries. It was started after an altercation between the BCCI

The Strange Case Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde
During the story of The Strange Case Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde , the author presents his
knowledge of the duality of man, Stevenson uses this clear contrast to make his point, every
human being contains opposite forces within him or her, an alter ego that hides behind one s
polite fascia . Where Dr. Jekyll and Hyde contain a dark, scary side inside them, where evil is
detained in waiting to surface, but they hide it away, they pretend it does not exist, and they
keep it undercontrol. He presents this idea by using two characters, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,
who are actually the same person. One of these characters signifies the normal side of a person
characterized by Dr. Jekyll, who is a classic higher class individual, and the other, Mr. Hyde, a
deformed man, shows the purest of evil, but the truth cannot be denied that as Dr. Jekyll said
man is not truly one, but truly two. We come across the fact that basically the whole novel is
basically about the duality of human nature until the climax of the novel itself. We learn that the
idea that Dr. Jekyll had created another version of himself, but not the good one is where he
realizes he made a mistake because the other side of him has committed murders and he had a
really bad temper and he is known as Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll is the good man the one who does
charity work for his own community. Mr. Hyde in the other hand is the man who gives a sense of
his evil by just looking at his face and deformation. Hyde emerges and wins

Serra s Canonization
As Serra s canonization may have come as a moment of deep pride for Latinos and Catholic
alike, it was obviously also a source of great controversy for many Native Americans. They have
since grown weary of the deception and the corruption on the part of many different outfits of the
Catholic Church. In one particularly angering case from 1986, the Catholic Diocese of Monterey,
California, where Father Serra is buried, released a report that found no evidence of Native
American mistreatment. Despite the utter lack of respect and false research from that report, there
are also proponents of the Church who have acknowledged Serra s crimes against Native
Americans, both then and now. However, this doesn t come without a catch that still keeps... Show

The acceptance and even glorification of his good deeds also played an immense role. Many
have touted Serra as a champion for Native American rights despite the clear historical evidence
supporting the idea that he was a forceful evangelizer who saw himself and the Spanish as
superior beings to the Native Americans. Although many say Serra was better than most
missionaries of his time, it still doesn t account for all the heinous crimes he committed. Robert
M. Senkewicz, a history professor at Santa Clara University rightfully said that while Serra
represented the softer side of Spanish colonialism, he still actively participated in a system in
which violence and coercion were an integral part. One could argue that the only real reason why
this historical narrative hasn t been rightfully rewritten is that its roots are in a religious
institution. Not just any institution, the Catholic church yields power and influence on a global
scale. Yet again, we see the presence of both an oppressor as well as the oppressed. The Catholic
Church has been viewed as the defender of all that is right and just throughout history because it
claims that many of its unholy actions were carried out in the name of God. As we study history to
make sense of the present, we can often become naГЇve, accepting facts at face value. With that
said, we form silences just like in the historical narrative

The Christian s Acts Of Faith
We ve all been there before, searching for something to watch on TV, 500 channels and nothing
catches our attention until we hear the yelling of the televangelist, YOU JUST GOTTA HAVE
FAITH! QUIT TRYING TO UNDERSTAND IT ALL! LET GO AND LET GOD! For some that
may be the solution they are searching for. They might be frustrated or let down by their own
efforts of understanding. But does faithbegin with letting go (of reason and understanding) and
letting God(reveal Himself to us) ? Is there any compatibility between exercising Christian faith
and exercising reason? Does reason have a role or should it have a role in the Christian s acts of
faith? This has been a topic of discussion throughout history by many great thinkers. I am going
to attempt to show that reason has an active role in exercising the Christian faith; at least attempt
to show that reason and faith aren t mutually exclusive. I will briefly discuss (1) different views
of the philosophical divide taken by philosophizers over the ages (2) and biblical evidence of the
use of reason (3) definition of biblical faith.
The apparent conflict between faith and reason has brought much trouble to believers and non
believers alike through the centuries. Influences like Immanuel Kant in his Critique of Pure
Reason penned these words: I have therefore found it necessary to deny knowledge in order to
make room for faith (1965, B:XXX) and Soren Kierkegaard held that the absolute limit to which
our reason repeatedly is

Orthognathic Surgery Essay
Orthognathic Surgery and Why It May Be Needed
Orthognathic reconstructive surgery is a procedure carried out by a oral and maxillofacial
surgeon to correct problems with the jaw. The surgery takes place in a hospital and involves the
straightening and realigning of the jaws. Templates, screws, wires, and surgical plates may be used
to accomplish this goal. Why would a person need this type of surgery and what should one expect
when they opt for this treatment option?
Why Would a Person Need Orthognathic Surgery?
Dentists often recommend a patient undergo orthognathic surgery to treat an improper bite, also
known as a severe malocclusion. This treatment is also often recommended for individuals who
suffer from TMJ or TMD. Any time the facial skeleton develops a problem during growth, the
individual may find they have problems with daily activities. Their speech may be affected, they

Persistent headaches may be a sign this treatment is needed, and individuals whose teeth show

Facial birth defects and trauma to the face may precede the need for orthognathic surgery. Others,
however, decide to have this treatment because they are not satisfied with their appearance. For
example, a person with a face that doesn t appear balanced may benefit from having the surgery
and those with lips that don t come together when the mouth is closed find they benefit from this
treatment. Finally, individuals who have sleep apnea or snore may discover the surgery can be of

Tv Violence And Domestic Violence Essay
Abstract
We examined the various forms of television violence and domestic violence in America. We
provided statistics showing the amounts of violence facts about adolescent exposure. We compared
and contrasted the differing effects of both and implemented a study to analyze the similarities. We
observed children and gathered data regarding their response to specific kinds of violence and the
psychological effects of each. We expected that the effects of television violenceand domestic
would be strikingly similar to one another and the results of our study prove the similarities and

National Television Violence Study evaluated nearly 1000 hours of programming over a two
year period and found that 61% of that programming contained interpersonal violence (Sclozman,
2002 2003, p 87). Something very provocative about the study was that most of the violence was
displayed on children s shows. An article in Pediatrics Magazine states, .Of all animated feature

Not only has it been proven that a large amount of violence is displayed on television, but there has

Too Big For Britches Essay
Due to strong usage; idiomatic expressions have infiltrated people s daily conversations. One
certain idiomatic expression that is popular, primarily in the southern region of the United States,
is (they) are too big for their britches or too big for one s britches. This is a common slang or
idiomatic expression that can fit into a physical context or even fit into southern cultural groups.
The idiomis also renowned throughout history and notable history contributors who used the
expression. The meaning behind idiomatic expressions is to get an exaggerated or ironic point
across in order to express a feeling or thought that cannot be expressed and lived literally. Like the

with conceited people. There may be a bystander who is trying to hook up (this is also an

rejected. Someone who may have witnessed the situation may say that the person being rejected
was being too big for his britches . This is a form of changing context situation in order for the
idiom to fit in place. Southern people in particular like to manipulate the meaning slightly so that its
usage can be expanded to different situations. Other than that change there is no prominent change

Case Study Of Saint Chinian
Saint Chinian, a vineyard you must visit
Talking about vineyards and one of the first names that comes to my mind is of Saint Chinian, a
small and beautiful village located in South France. It has a dry and Mediterranean climate which
is best suited for vineyards. It boasts of some of the most famous vineyards and even has a famous
wine named after it, called the Saint Chinian wine which is produced from here only. The vines
that are planted on the slopes of the hills surrounding this exotic place produce some of the very
high quality wines you would find in the entire world. Saint Chinian is known mainly for its roses,
and the unusual whites. The maximum numbers of the vines planted are of reds and roses which
are called Grenache, Syrah, and Mouvedre. The rest is white and are named Grenache Blanc,
Marsanne, Roussanne Carignan, Clairette, Viognier, Bourboulenc, and more. Here s a bit on the
different varieties of the Mediterranean wine.
Grenache Noir produces wines with aromatics of raspberry red fruits and mixed spice with rounded
tannins.
Syrah produces wines with intense aromatics of blackberry fruits, pepper spice and violets, and
gives great color and structure.
MourvГЁdre loves the heat and produces full bodied wines with intense tannins, peppery spice

their product features. Although they are aware of the market competition and the meaningful use
require by government and federal rule and regulation. They are more patient oriented for safety
and the capacity of the clinicians to utilize their product with no challenge, but using the product
tools to improve patient care and safety. Also, they have two products to choose from that best fit
specific demand. Therefore, if given the opportunity, I would choose the Cerner application for their
simplicity. To support my choice, Cerner received a UX Award for best Clinical Healthcare

Miss Emily Is Diagnosed In William Faulkner s A Rose For...
Miss Emily is Diagnosed The short story, A Rose for Emily, was published in 1930, which was
the period of time where a lot of work written were left unclear at the ending. With this being
said, many of the audience who read these type of work always made their own conclusions
without the author really stating what had happened in their work. This was an easier way that
authors found to sell their work. A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner was categorized as one of
those type of work. The short story is about a womanwho kills her lover, Homer. Homer considered
below her, society wise. So, the events that led her to do kill him are signs that Miss Emily may
had done it because she was sick. She shows signs of major depression and

Dwight Eisenhower s Farewell Address
Eisenhower s Farewell Address to the country in which he cautioned of the dangers of the
unwarranted influence of the military industrial complex. The impact, influence this speech has had
is really positive. This speech is 56 years old and it has shown in the nation s massive military
spending plans, the nuclear arms race, our permanent war footing, the inability to accomplish
significant demobilization, and the unlawful wars the US has started. Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th
leader of the United States, promoted Peace at the United Nations General Assembly so as to ease
Cold Warpressures. John F. Kennedy, the 35th U.S. president, arranged the Nuclear Test Ban
Treaty and started the Alliance for Progress. He was killed in 1963. As on most presidential... Show

He truly has great consideration for our country. As mentioned in the speech Like each other
native, the future president, for all that he will work with him, Godspeed. I supplicate for the
new years to honor with peace and success for all. This exhibits that he wishes the best for
America. Dwight also uses a lot of logos. He also mentions that America will have a lot more
like the three wars and America still stands the ground of being a strong country. He illuminated
the aftereffect of the wars through rationale. He shows a lot of feeling in his farewell address.
He examines how he might need to change the forces. This exhibits he simply wants what is
best for America. You and I my people should be solid in our confidence that all countries, under
God, will achieve the objective of peace with equity. May we be regularly unswerving in
dedication to guideline, sure however humble with control, industrious in quest for the Nation s
incredible objectives. Throughout the speech, you can tell that Eisenhower was a great and
disapproving of president. In the principle argument of his speech I see a great deal of Logos.
Dwight D. Eisenhower says that But threats, new in kind or degree, constantly arise. He says that
new issues will come and that we should be prepared. In any case, the announcement that I like
and that shows ethos in the meantime he discusses how to look after freedom, pride, and
trustworthiness in our nation. All through the entire speech President Eisenhower demonstrates his
positive look after the general population of America and that he needs the nation to keep on
growing so that vote based system can get by for all ages. as he is giving help for the American
people he proceeds to alert them with the goal that they generally remain in spite of the fact that
they are good right now numerous issues will be

Political Influence On Julius Caesar
As humans we tend to take different sides or have particular opinions about certain events in our
lives; nothing seems to have changed as this was a common occurrence in one of the most
remarkable civilisations in the world, Ancient Rome, and its political influence is still felt today.
The drastic change from the Roman Republic to the one man empire was a decision made by
Julius Caesar when others did not have the power to challenge him. Julius Caesar believed in a one
man Government, he liked change and used his own power to make sure that change happened;
and his power was proved when he changed this political outline that had been in place for five
hundred years to his own. The Republic laid down the traditions and institutions of Government,

Math Of Cheerleading Essay
The Math of Stunting
The physical nature of the sport cheerleading, demands a grasp on the knowledge of how both the
forces that are exerted and those one experiences will affect one s performance in a stunt or trick.
Physics and mathematics can be found everywhere in cheerleading: 8 counts direct a dancing
routine, weight distribution determines a three level pyramid. The highly organized nature of
cheerleading, with all of its formations and different groupings of, in Columbia River s case,
members based on their job in that stunt back spot, base, or flyer can hardly be removed from the
concepts of math. Rather, a cheerleader with a true knowledge of physics and mathematics will
undoubtedly be more successful in their happenings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If we measured in meters then a=4.9.) t is the time in seconds, v0 is the initial velocity of 30 feet
per second, and s0 is the initial height or 4 feet. Thus we have: h(t)= 16t^2+30t+4 as a model for
the height.
Note that we disregard complicating factors such as air resistance, spin, because the uncertainty and
unpredictability of these factors leads to a much more complicated equation than needed.
(a) Will the flyer reach 20 feet?
Let h(t)=20 and solve:
20= 16t^2+30t+4
16t^2+30t 16=0
Using the quadratic formula, x=( bВ±в€
љ(b^2 4ac))/2a , we can solve for t: x=(
30В±в€
љ(гЂ–30гЂ—^2 4( 16)( 16)))/(2( 16)) The discriminant, x= bВ±в€
љ(b^2 4ac) , is 124 so
there are no real solutions. The flyer will never reach 20 feet with the given initial velocity.
The graph of height vs time:
Height (in feet)
Time (in seconds) (b) What initial velocity is required to achieve a height of 25 ft.?
Let h(t)=25 and solve for V_0: 25= 16t^2+v_0 t+4 16t^2+v_0 t=21 v_0 t=21+16t^2 v_0=21/t+16t
We want to minimize this function. Using calculus we find the minimum to be at t approximately
1.15 seconds and velocity approximately 36.66 feet per

Observation Of A Coffee Shop In A High School Community
Coffee shops. Coffee shops are popular with good reason. They play an important role in
society, providing the daily dose of caffeine to many. Interestingly, there is a grander role of coffee
shops than simply coffee. While each coffee shop may have a unique touch, coffee shops, they
overall provide a place for people to go individually or in a group, to either work or socialise, or
both. High Schoolstudents are a prime example of a community that could make good use of the
environment coffeeshops provide. A High School community could provide a different type of
customers to coffee shops, not always buying drinks from the establishment, while friends will.
Despite most High School students not being a part of society that earns steady cash flow, they still
can show to provide important consumerism. Focusing on Oakmont High School students, I make
use of participant observation as a means to understand the role coffee shops play in a community
of High School students.
Oakmont High School students have a growing coffee shop culture with the nearby coffee
establishments, as students desire the ambiance that coffee shops provide, differing from their
school environment while still providing a setting to both work on assignments or hold
conversations with their friends.

of a culture. Participant observation, surprisingly, makes use of

If the taser does not take a life, it can ultimately impact and alter the taser victim s life. Furthermore, like most products the taser is not always one hundred percent effective or reliable. Due to how dangerous the taser is, with intention or not, and the many outcomes by its use, they should be banned. Though it is suggested the taser would be a safer solution to apprehend an attacking person rather than firing a gun at them instead, there is a defect that prevents it from doing so. Also when firing, the probes have to be at a vertical position aiming at a standing target. If the electrode barbs were to fail to apprehend the target, the one using the taser would be put at risk since they would have to put the taser back together properly and make sure the probe cartridge is place accurately for another chance to fire. It may seem easy to put the taser back properly, but there are precautions one would have to take to be safe from harm to themselves. To avoid being tased, there are safety measures one should take such as when loading and unloading the taser s cartridges. One must hold the taser on the device s either side or top. • 3. Self Reflection On Teaching And Learning I believe a successful learning experience is engaging and valued by the students. I believe students will value what they are learning if they believe what they re learning is relevant. Relevance is important to teaching and learning because it is directly related to student engagement and motivation (Frymier Schulman, 1995; Martin Dowson, 2009). Marsh (2008), states a positive classroom environment provides a sense of security, community, belonging and identity (Marsh, 2008). Based on my experience as a practicing teacher, I have found establishing clear expectations within the classroom assist in maintaining control and discipline, to create a safe learning environment (Fatt Hee, 1996). I believe within all classrooms, students diversity should be valued. This creates a discrimination free environment and ensures students feel safe and included (Philips, 2010). According to Stanford Parkay (2007) students are more engaged in class when learning experiences are satisfying, challenging and friendly. There is no one size fits all teaching strategy for all students. Therefore teachers must use a variety of teaching strategies to cater for a variety of different learners (Gill, 2013). It is important for teachers to regularly evaluate their practices and whether they are meeting the learning needs of all students (Zeichner Liston, 1987). Self evaluation can assist teachers to improve the educational experiences provided for students and assist in identifying the professional education you need to further develop your capacity to teach well (Schwartz, n.d.). As a future teacher developing learning programs, teaching, assessing, providing feedback on student learning and reporting to parents/carers are skills I must be proficient in. • 4. Alexander Weygers Essay Alexander Weygers, a man born two years before Orville and Wilbur Wright took to the air, always had a fascination with flight. My belief was that man had copied the bird under the erroneous impression that the most obvious way to fly is to copy the bird s flight, he said. To me, it was as impractical to make a plane like a bird as it would be to make an automobile look like a horse or a motorcycle like a man. Weygers first got the idea for his flying machine in 1927 when he was working as a nautical engineer. The concept was inspired not by a bird, but a dolphin. It was early one morning at sea when he observed with fascination a dolphin that appeared to swim effortlessly in front of the ship. He kept it up for at least 10 minutes, Weygers said. I asked... A shattered man after his wife died in childbirth in 1927, his sorrow deepened when his family was captured by the Japanese. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The states hold just enough power to keep the federal government from having complete control. This adds a balance that had no duplicate in any country, which perhaps is what leaves many people dreaming of America. One of the elements people incorporate into the American dream is religious freedom. The governing forces of this country have no religious or denominational theme. Instead, the founding fathers made it clear that a government should function according to basic human decency and morale, not religion. A strict separation of church and government is declared in the Constitution. This is not to prevent holiness from entering politics, but to keep politics from entering holiness. Often times in governing bodies, though the motives are pure, the outcome is somewhat crooked. This is why such a separation is necessary; to keep government from corrupting church. Another reason is simply to prevent governing bodies from dictating individual beliefs, because America was never meant to be a dictatorship. From the start, Americans, like all groups of people needed an example. They needed someone not to be a dictator, but a leader. Due to the division of powers in the federal government today, the threat of dictatorship is almost non existent. The President can be overridden by Congress as well as by the Supreme ... • 8. A Metamorphosis Of The Paperweight, By George Orwell Motolani Osinowo BOX # 2758 25 October, 2017 PROF. HODGE COURSE AHS 1000# SEC #06 Paper One Final A metamorphosis of the paperweight 1984, by George Orwell, is an overwhelming novel that seeks to notify humanity about the dangers of authoritarian rule and the aftermath of it all. In the novel, the paperweight is one of the greatest symbols because it is futile and beauty exists in it. However it is a sign of rebellion, through its simple and yet peculiar nature, in the eyes of The Party; it contradicts the idea that everything and everyone must be useful. One can come to a consensus that the coral and the glass dome represent Winston and the upper room or party, respectively. This is due to the fact that the glass and or room encases the coral or in this case Winston, or so he thinks. One is also aware that the paperweight reveals a part of the past, which sparks Winston s curiosity to what the hope for freedom really meant in the past this is a form of rebellion as the idea of freedom from Oceana is forbidden by the party. However, Orwell argues that the seemingly positive significance of the paperweight will be at a state of compromise through the use of sense perception, the remembrance of the past, and the destruction of the paperweight. Because the paperweight is a representation of Julia and Winston in the secrecy of the room, it reveals an inaccurate psychological form of the truth. Even as centuries go by and cultures evolve or diminish, there will be concepts that never die out; ideas that are everlasting in time. One, who proved this, is William Shakespeare. His pieces were first created in the late 1500s; nonetheless, his writing is still relevant even today, almost 5 centuries later. In Greenway s school play, the setting was moved to the 1970s, yet the play s aroma withstood the changes. Therefore, changing the context of one of his plays, such as The Taming of the Shrew, minimally effects the appeals which can be seen through the consistency of the audience, his unfading persona, and universal message. Changing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One message of the play is that love is an addiction. In the original play set in the 16th century, various individuals seek love from another; the same is true in Greenway s adaptation. In both, the characters fantasize and attempt the most ridiculous ways to steal the heart of their true love . Although the adaptation is set centuries later, it stays true to the message by incorporating these fanatics which allows the message to live on. Shakespeare developed his plays in a way that could be recreated for centuries; he made his ideas to be relevant for the present and the future. Thus, if the message was no longer present in Greenway s play, then the entire play would have to be different. In that case, it is not a Shakespeare play if the drama is gone: it s just a boring play. Then again, one could see how the message is slightly altered. Love during the 1500s differs from love in the 1970s due to arranged marriages being popular in the past. In the 1500 1600s, love could often referred to marriage, but in the 1970s love meant to have a deep affection for another. • 21. Puritans And The New World Essay Over the years, people broadcast the Puritans as a group of people who were extremely legalistic and against anything that would be considered fun in the modern world. This incorrect broadcast of the Puritans has led to many misconceptions about how they lived when they came to the New World and settled in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The Puritans were not legalistic, but rather sought to please God by creating a society that focused on fulfilling their calling through the institutions of family, work, education, and government in a positive environment. This led to a fruitful society when it followed in its original intentions. The Puritans believed that God instituted society and expected to see Christian principles prevail within (173). The goal of the Puritans was not to be legalistic but to please the God who sent His Son to save them from their sins. As a result, they sought to establish laws that aligned with Christian principles. One Puritan, Thomas Cartwright, even said that the commonwealth must be made to agree with the church [that is Christian principles]. Laws were not instituted to force action of the citizens but sought to ensure that the citizens of the colony followed the commands of God laid out in the Bible. While this motivation to obey the Word of God in all portions does substantiate the claim towards legalism, a deeper study of the term legalism shows that the Puritans were not legalistic. According to the definition of legalism, the Puritans were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction The National Airspace System (NAS) has been becoming busier ever since the Wright Brothers first took off and the first air mail routes were created in the early 1900s. With the introduction of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into the NAS, the airspace is getting even more congested due to the lack of set in stone regulations from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Now that UAS are becoming more common amongst the general population, the airways are become much less predictable and much less safe, which causes a threat to the manned general aviation community. • 30. The Strange Case Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde During the story of The Strange Case Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde , the author presents his knowledge of the duality of man, Stevenson uses this clear contrast to make his point, every human being contains opposite forces within him or her, an alter ego that hides behind one s polite fascia . Where Dr. Jekyll and Hyde contain a dark, scary side inside them, where evil is detained in waiting to surface, but they hide it away, they pretend it does not exist, and they keep it undercontrol. He presents this idea by using two characters, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, who are actually the same person. One of these characters signifies the normal side of a person characterized by Dr. Jekyll, who is a classic higher class individual, and the other, Mr. Hyde, a deformed man, shows the purest of evil, but the truth cannot be denied that as Dr. Jekyll said man is not truly one, but truly two. We come across the fact that basically the whole novel is basically about the duality of human nature until the climax of the novel itself. We learn that the idea that Dr. Jekyll had created another version of himself, but not the good one is where he realizes he made a mistake because the other side of him has committed murders and he had a really bad temper and he is known as Mr. Hyde. Serra s Canonization As Serra s canonization may have come as a moment of deep pride for Latinos and Catholic alike, it was obviously also a source of great controversy for many Native Americans. They have since grown weary of the deception and the corruption on the part of many different outfits of the Catholic Church. In one particularly angering case from 1986, the Catholic Diocese of Monterey, California, where Father Serra is buried, released a report that found no evidence of Native American mistreatment. Despite the utter lack of respect and false research from that report, there are also proponents of the Church who have acknowledged Serra s crimes against Native Americans, both then and now. Many have touted Serra as a champion for Native American rights despite the clear historical evidence supporting the idea that he was a forceful evangelizer who saw himself and the Spanish as superior beings to the Native Americans. Although many say Serra was better than most missionaries of his time, it still doesn t account for all the heinous crimes he committed. Robert M. Senkewicz, a history professor at Santa Clara University rightfully said that while Serra represented the softer side of Spanish colonialism, he still actively participated in a system in which violence and coercion were an integral part. One could argue that the only real reason why this historical narrative hasn t been rightfully rewritten is that its roots are in a religious institution. Not just any institution, the Catholic church yields power and influence on a global scale. Yet again, we see the presence of both an oppressor as well as the oppressed. The Catholic Church has been viewed as the defender of all that is right and just throughout history because it claims that many of its unholy actions were carried out in the name of God. As we study history to make sense of the present, we can often become naГЇve, accepting facts at face value. With that said, we form silences just like in the historical narrative ... The Christian s Acts Of Faith We ve all been there before, searching for something to watch on TV, 500 channels and nothing catches our attention until we hear the yelling of the televangelist, YOU JUST GOTTA HAVE FAITH! QUIT TRYING TO UNDERSTAND IT ALL! LET GO AND LET GOD! For some that may be the solution they are searching for. They might be frustrated or let down by their own efforts of understanding. But does faithbegin with letting go (of reason and understanding) and letting God(reveal Himself to us) ? Is there any compatibility between exercising Christian faith and exercising reason? Does reason have a role or should it have a role in the Christian s acts of faith? This has been a topic of discussion throughout history by many great thinkers. I am going to attempt to show that reason has an active role in exercising the Christian faith; at least attempt to show that reason and faith aren t mutually exclusive. I will briefly discuss (1) different views of the philosophical divide taken by philosophizers over the ages (2) and biblical evidence of the use of reason (3) definition of biblical faith. The apparent conflict between faith and reason has brought much trouble to believers and non believers alike through the centuries. Influences like Immanuel Kant in his Critique of Pure Reason penned these words: I have therefore found it necessary to deny knowledge in order to make room for faith (1965, B:XXX) and Soren Kierkegaard held that the absolute limit to which our reason repeatedly is ... • 43. Political Influence On Julius Caesar As humans we tend to take different sides or have particular opinions about certain events in our lives; nothing seems to have changed as this was a common occurrence in one of the most remarkable civilisations in the world, Ancient Rome, and its political influence is still felt today. The drastic change from the Roman Republic to the one man empire was a decision made by Julius Caesar when others did not have the power to challenge him. Julius Caesar believed in a one man Government, he liked change and used his own power to make sure that change happened; and his power was proved when he changed this political outline that had been in place for five hundred years to his own. The Republic laid down the traditions and institutions of Government, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Math Of Cheerleading Essay The Math of Stunting The physical nature of the sport cheerleading, demands a grasp on the knowledge of how both the forces that are exerted and those one experiences will affect one s performance in a stunt or trick. Physics and mathematics can be found everywhere in cheerleading: 8 counts direct a dancing routine, weight distribution determines a three level pyramid. The highly organized nature of cheerleading, with all of its formations and different groupings of, in Columbia River s case, members based on their job in that stunt back spot, base, or flyer can hardly be removed from the concepts of math. Rather, a cheerleader with a true knowledge of physics and mathematics will undoubtedly be more successful in their happenings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If we measured in meters then a=4.9.) t is the time in seconds, v0 is the initial velocity of 30 feet per second, and s0 is the initial height or 4 feet. Thus we have: h(t)= 16t^2+30t+4 as a model for the height. Note that we disregard complicating factors such as air resistance, spin, because the uncertainty and unpredictability of these factors leads to a much more complicated equation than needed. (a) Will the flyer reach 20 feet? Let h(t)=20 and solve: 20= 16t^2+30t+4 16t^2+30t 16=0 Using the quadratic formula, x=( bВ±в€ љ(b^2 4ac))/2a , we can solve for t: x=( 30В±в€ љ(гЂ–30гЂ—^2 4( 16)( 16)))/(2( 16)) The discriminant, x= bВ±в€ љ(b^2 4ac) , is 124 so there are no real solutions. The flyer will never reach 20 feet with the given initial velocity. The graph of height vs time: Height (in feet) Time (in seconds) (b) What initial velocity is required to achieve a height of 25 ft.? Let h(t)=25 and solve for V_0: 25= 16t^2+v_0 t+4 16t^2+v_0 t=21 v_0 t=21+16t^2 v_0=21/t+16t We want to minimize this function. Using calculus we find the minimum to be at t approximately 1.15 seconds and velocity approximately 36.66 feet per ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Observation Of A Coffee Shop In A High School Community Coffee shops. Coffee shops are popular with good reason. They play an important role in society, providing the daily dose of caffeine to many. Interestingly, there is a grander role of coffee shops than simply coffee. While each coffee shop may have a unique touch, coffee shops, they overall provide a place for people to go individually or in a group, to either work or socialise, or both. High Schoolstudents are a prime example of a community that could make good use of the environment coffeeshops provide. A High School community could provide a different type of customers to coffee shops, not always buying drinks from the establishment, while friends will. Despite most High School students not being a part of society that earns steady cash flow, they still can show to provide important consumerism. Focusing on Oakmont High School students, I make use of participant observation as a means to understand the role coffee shops play in a community of High School students. Oakmont High School students have a growing coffee shop culture with the nearby coffee establishments, as students desire the ambiance that coffee shops provide, differing from their school environment while still providing a setting to both work on assignments or hold conversations with their friends. Method Use of Participation Observation Participant observation is a key way to immerse oneself into a community to gain an understanding of a culture. Participant observation, surprisingly, makes use of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
