Persuasive Letter Against Animal Cloning
Dear mr. Paul Ryan the speaker of the white house, I ve seen your voting records and your campaigns
from the past years and the current ones and i ve seen that you re helping people with fundraisers so I
m pretty sure that you ll agree with me with not starting to clone and never start it. I believe it is the
most unacceptable idea of how it will affect the people in a really bad way. Also, I believe that the
taxpayer can benefit something else like actually help the people who need the money. I read an article
about animals cloning before, and I was surprised how much money it costs someone to clone, like
they re not even sure if the cloned pet will be exactly like the real one, And I don t believe it s normal
because of course they ll add hormones and genes that ll become so unreal that it may be obvious. For

Because sometimes even twins who has the same DNA dont even look alike or has the same
personalities so what do you expect from a cloned human. Therefore, no one should have any
expectations from cloned people. In 2002, President Bush has given a speech about cloning and said
We must prevent human cloning by stopping it before it starts and added that cloning should be
banned. Also he believes that all human cloning is definitely wrong because no human life should be
exploited or extinguished for the benefit of another. Also it would be a mistake to allow any human
kind cloning to come out of that chamber. He added I m an incurable optimist about the future of our
country and that s true we can make the world a better place by good choices.
All in all I hope you re convinced and vote NO for the sake of

Neoclassical Architecture
The Neoclassical architecture consisted in the mid 1800s to the early 1900s. One of the earliest phases
of the neoclassical architecture grew alongside with the Baroque Period. The architecture is generally
evident in England, where there are buildings like the St Paul s Cathedral, The Royal Observatory, and
The Royal Chelsea Hospital. Large scale structures, Ionic pillars, and huge Renaissance style noodles
represent the Neoclassical architecture. Many took inspirations from simple shapes like spheres,
cubes, and cylinders so they could provide a more abstract classicism. Two well known architects of
the neoclassical period were the British architect Robert Adam and American architect Thomas
Jefferson. The British architect Robert Adam was one of the most important architects that worked in
the neo Hellenic manner. Born in Kirkaldy, Scotland, he followed the steps of his father and studied
architecture (Albert 1). His style worked well beyond only architect, but to interiors which included
moveable objects in a room. Ancient Greece and Rome influenced his plans and decoration. He even
got his own style which is experienced as the Adam Style or Adamesque. Some of his famous houses
included the Kenwood House, Oseterley Park, and the Syon House (Study.com 1). His plans are a lot
looser and less serious, with a broad range of color and ornamentation. His architecture was made to
match the outside of the building so it would fit the interior. So, bring everything together to

Bilingual Education and Native Language Maintenance
According to Ethnologue (Grimes, 1996) cited in Purwo, K. (2000), there are 6703 languages in the
world. The distribution of those languages is in sequence Asia 2,165 or 32%, Africa 2,011 or 30%, the
pacific 1,302 19%, The Americas 1,000 or 15% and Europe 225 or 3% . Asia becomes the continent
with the most living languages in the world. Those languages are distributed in each country, and
particularly, Indonesia is the second most living languages in the world, after Papua Nugini. Indonesia
according to Grimes (1992) cited in Purwo, k. (2000) is reported to have 706 languages while Papua
newgunie has 867 languages. Mostly, the 700s languages in Indonesia is in the eastern Indonesia in
which Silzer and Heikkinen (1991) in Purwo, K. (2000) reports that 240 of the languages are in Irian
Jaya. A number of the languages in the world are in danger if there is no effort to maintain the
language. UNESCO reported that 10 languages are dead every year . Purwo further explains that in
Australia in 18 centuries, there were 250 languages and today, there are only 20 languages left. A
language can exist if the speakers of the language are more than 100,000 people. If we consider this
condition, in Indonesia, there are 109 languages, not Java, which have less than 100,000 speakers.
Those languages spread in Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Maluku, and NTT. In
Lampung, according to Gunawan (1994) cited in Purwo, K. (2000) there are 1,500,000 speakers of

The Vanished Settlements Summary
In chapter 5, The Vanished Settlements , John Viele reveals information about the 21 year span of life
on the Keys. The Civil War, living conditions, mosquitoes, fresh water, and isolation are some of the
main hardships that many of the settlers had to experience, but only a few could endure the setbacks
and live prosperous lives, as well as their families. Henry Geiger, Temple Pent, and Happy Jack were
the most prosperous men during the hard times of the Key West, and through others around them, their
stories can now live on. Viele tells us only a few families remained living in the Keys after the Indian
raids and the Second Seminole War. About 20 homes that were documented on the 1850 census, which
together, held about 40 settlers. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author says he sleeps on a cot and had to use a stool to keep his legs form going through it. He
draws up a picture of Henry s home. The illustration shows that Henry was very luxurious. Henry
made his living through the hauling and selling of wood, tanning deer, and growing vegetables and
fruits, Viele says. Henry had managed the mosquitoes and lived a very successful life. Captain Temple
Pent, was self educated, a skilled seaman, and pilot. Viele informs us, Pent was at sea at an early age
of his life. At the age 16 he began to tend to a piece of land, better known today as Coconut Grove.
After Florida was bought by the US, he became a citizen and had a family. Because of his reputation
at sea, Commodore Porter offered Pent to serve as a squadron official. Pent moved his family to Key
Vacas when the Seminole became violent, and eventually fled to Key West. Records show that Pent
was appointed Inspector of Elections in 1836 and held leadership in a 100 population community. In
1860s, he was the Florida lighthouse keeper and lived there till his death in 1868. Viele shows that
Pent had a lot of political success.
Happy Jack had a plantation that grew various fruits and excellent sweet potatoes , as a 1856 surveyor
notes. Viele tells us that Happy Jack s story is very blurry and comes from two different sources, one a
writer whose article appeared in a Putnam s Monthly paper and the other is a friend. Happy Jack was
one of the members of a happy go lucky band.

My Stranger Experience By Dr. John Howard, At The Dinah...
For my Stranger Experience, I went to a lecture called Picturing Queer Souths , which was taught by
Dr. John Howard, at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center. He is a professor at King s College in
London, and he is also a University of Alabama alumnus. During this lecture, he discussed the
different aspects of LGBT photography and how sexuality can be expressed through that medium,
whether there are members of the community physically present in that photographs or not. There was
a specific focus on southern photographers that are members of the LGBT community, not only in the
American South, but also in relatively southern parts of the world, like South Africa for example.
Through his lecture, Dr. Howard explored the idea that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The experience of attending the lecture was incredibly interesting to me. Personally, I identify as a
heterosexual woman, so this was actually the first time I ever visited a place that was focused on
LGBT life experiences and art. Interestingly enough, although the space was not necessarily queer
exclusive, I believe that a majority of the attendees were members of the queer community. This led to
several questions after the lecture pertaining to personal experiences from members of the community
and how they related to the lecture that was shared. I think that one of the aspects of strangeness I
experienced was the fact that I did not feel comfortable asking a question that I had at the end of the
lecture. There was nothing necessarily telling me that I could not ask a question, in fact, it was
encouraged for the most part. I simply felt like I was in a space that was specifically for queer people
and that it was not my place to speak up, since I typically have the privilege of having my voice heard
daily.
Another aspect that felt strange to me was the overt sexuality of many of the photographs that were
shown. I grew up in a very conservative Christian household, where I was taught that sexuality was
something that was private and sex itself was reserved for married couples. Many of the photos shown
during Dr. Howard s lecture showed partial or complete nudity, or were candid photos of LGBT
couples participating in sex acts. This was

MR and CT scanners both produce images of anatomical structure, but the images they generate look
quite different. The striking difference between the two is that, bone structure
(cortical) appears bright in CT, so is black in MR. MR images tend to have much higher contrast
between grey matters. There are many instances in which it would be desirable to integrate the
information obtained from two or more studies of the same patient. Application areas of multimodality
matching include radio therapy and nuclear medicine [2]. In radiation therapy planning, a CT scan is
needed fordose distribution calculations while the contours of the target lesion are often best outlined
on MRI [3,4]. In nuclear medicine, determination of the anatomical location of dysfunctional areas
and studies in functional structural relationships are facilitated by integration of functional and
morphological information, and anatomical information may be used to improve PET or SPECT
reconstructions. Since information gained from two images acquired in the clinical track of events is
usually of a complementary nature, proper integration of useful data obtained from the separate
images is often desired. The first step in the integration process is to bring the modalities involved into
spatial alignment, a procedure referred to as registration/matching as shown in Figure 1.
After registration, a fusion step is

Negative Impact Of World Bank Structural Adjustment Program
NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF WORLD BANK S STRUCTURAL ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM (SAP)
IN GHANA
INTRODUCTION:
Writing about the negative impacts of The World Bank Structural Adjustment Program in Ghana, my
country of origin is something I can do with my eyes closed, because being an ordinary Ghanaian,
born and raised in Ghana, I do not need a research to know what these institutions have done to the
developing countries they impose their ill intended programs on. Even the blind can feel hunger, lack
of access to good health care, high tariffs on basic utilities such as electricity and water which is as a
result of privatization. This paper is going to highlight on the negative impacts of the World Bank s
sponsored Structural Adjustment Program implemented by the government of Ghana from 1982 to
2008.
STRUCTURAL ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM 1982 2008
This is what a researcher could say about this program to paint the big picture for readers, Clearly, the
World Bank s structural adjustment of Ghana is a textbook example of how to ruin a country. The
ruthless denial of mineral wealth, food, medical care, education and even water has made the
population destitute spectators to the plunder of Ghana by foreigners. (Ismi. July, 2004).
This program has been repackaged and renamed over the period under different government
administrations but they say a decorated donkey is still an ass. At the beginning under the PNDC/NDC
administration it was called The Structural Adjustment Program which aim was

Colombia Drug Policy
The US Approach in Colombia
As the United States is one of the largest drug consumers in the world they view drugs particularly
cocaine as a threat to US national security that undermines US economy, value, and identity. With this
in mind, the US uses an approach that assumes that if there is no supply then there would be no
demand, contradicting the capitalist concept of supply demand. US drug policy is divided into two
groups from policies of control to policies of aid. In Colombia, the United States has been using its
political and economic influence mainly through economic assistance since Andean states generally
have a weak economy when compared to their counterpart. This approach tends to be overly realistic
with policies following the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With a change in viewpoint the United States began to see the armed rebel groups such as FARC as
narco terrorists, changing the focus of US engagement which was only about the drugs. President
George Bush along with congress began to allocate funds to counter insurgency. This particular shift
changed US policy, from a war on drug to a war on terror. With no statutory ending date for the plan,
the plan programs continued through the Andean Counterdrug Initiative (ACI). During the Bush s
second term, the administration changed its focus to face the economic issues by implementing a Free
Trade Area (FTA) within the Americas.
Later on, under President Barack Obama there has been significant changes since the Bush s
administration strategy was unsuccessful. Military cooperation with Colombia has increased with the
Obama administration. Moreover, Obama focus more on rebuilding ties with other Latin American
nations to decrease US strategic dependence on Colombian alliance. Overall, the administration and
the US congress in 2010 has signaled intentions to turn over the majority of Plan Colombia s

Oracle Of Delphi To Chaerephon About Socrates
Study Question One: What is the message from the Oracle of Delphi to Chaerephon about Socrates?
Early in Socrates testimony he refers to a witness by the name Chaerephon, he is described as an early
friend of Socrates and to all those present at the trial. It is mentioned that he was exiled; however, he
returned. According to Socrates, Chaerephon acted in a rash manner; thus, Chaerephon boldly asks the
oracle of Delphi whether any man is wiser than Socrates. The Oracle of Delphi, also known as the
Pythian prophetess, responded saying there was no man wiser (Pojman and Vaughn). We then learn
that Chaerephon was dead, but his brother, who was present in court, could testify in support of the
claim.
Study Question Three: How does Socrates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think of arrogance as excessive pride or dramatization with one s own achievements. The only
blatant case of arrogance to me is when he proposes maintenance in the Prytaneum to be a just return
(Pojman and Vaughn). Looking more into the Prytaneum, I found this is where victorious Olympic
athletes ate for free; for Socrates to say he deserves free meals for the rest of his life does sound
conceited. This feeling must have been shared by the jury, by comparing the first vote, determining if
he was guilty, to the second vote, which determined his punishment, nearly 80 of those who voted for
him to be not guilty supported the death penalty shortly after he made that remark. It s hard to say if
he was serious though, all we get is a synopsis, his gesticulations could have indicated that he was
trying to lighten up the atmosphere with a joke. Some may consider the anecdote about him finding
out he was the wisest man alive from the God of Delphi to be arrogant; however, he wasn t the one
who seeked the answer, it was his friend Chaerephon. Moreover, he was skeptical to find out that was
the case, so he immediately set out to provide counter evidence to the Oracle. Lastly, emphatically
advocating to reproach those who pretend to know something when they know nothing makes it hard
to say he was arrogant; I see his behavior as a healthy skeptic who was hungry for the truth. The death
penalty was absolutely unnecessary; unfortunately, he had more enemies in the jury than friends. As
history shows unconventional views are generally suppressed by those with a vested interest, those
who brought charges against him along with his other enemies enjoyed the superior social status that
came with inflating one s wisdom, and

Counseling The Hood Case Study
Counseling the Hoods with Structural Family Therapy
The Hood family consists of Ben, Elena, and their children, Paul (16 years old) and Wendy (14 years
old), that lives in New Canaan, Connecticut. Paul attends a prep school in another city while Wendy
attends school in New Canaan. The family lacks structure and communication. Neither parents know
what the children are up to, as shown when Wendy asked for money to pay for her band uniform (Lee,

Paul does not want to come on the day before Thanksgiving to spent time with his family, he rather

teenager that is curious about her sexuality. She has been playing sex games with her classmates,
especially Mickey Carver. She also steals from the local pharmacy. They both know that their parents
are having problems with their marriage (Lee, Ice Storm ).
I would use structural family therapy to counsel the Hood family. This therapeutic approach is best for
the Hood family because it will organize the ways in which each family member react with one
another. The Hoods boundaries are enmeshed. Mr. Hood is very disengaged with Mrs. Hood, their
relationship is estranged. Mrs. Hood is dependent on Mr. Hood for happiness, however Mr. Hood is no

Mr. Hood gives the children more attention than his wife, which cause the power of the family

parents. They must develop boundaries that separates them from the children. They must also improve

Introduction Scholarly communication, especially in the digital environment, has witnessed a

research, and researchers are often judged by their academic productivity. Any academic promotion is
not only taking into its consideration the number of publications, but also how prestigious the journals
they were published in. Such a case is based on the practice and process of the peer review

Mr. Darcy s Painting: A Look at Elizabeth s Reaction to a Smile
In Jane Austen s Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth undergoes a transition from an initial prejudice against
Mr. Darcy to an understanding of him which leads to marriage. The transition that Elizabeth
undergoes is sparked by curious events. The moment of Mr. Darcy s proposal and the letter he gives
Elizabeth immediately afterwards, to Elizabeth s unexpected visit to Pemberley, Austen makes us
question how one changes their opinion as quickly as Elizabeth does about Darcy. In following this
transition we are brought to the heart of the novel: when Elizabeth sees a painting of Mr. Darcy in his

takes the proposals. With Darcy, she holds the resentment he has towards the behavior of her family as
well as their class differences as a large problem for their potential marriage. This is not the problem
between Elizabeth and Collins. Both Collins and Darcy provide Elizabeth with wealth that would
make her comfortable in a practical way (even though one is clearly better than the other in this
manner). But the argument for Elizabeth against Mr. Collins is her heart. She doesn t respect Collins
in the way that she respects Darcy. Instead of using the word gratitude like Elizabeth does with Darcy,
she responds Accept my thanks for the compliment you are paying me. I am very sensible of the
honour of your proposals, but it is impossible for me to do otherwise than to decline them Elizabeth
calls what she feels a complement and a honor but leaves out respect. If she had a respect for Collins
she would feel more gratitude for his proposal but the way the conversation unfolds reveals Elizabeth
s problem. Collins stops himself before his feelings run away from himself to explain logically why
they are getting married. And when Elizabeth informs him of her answer he does not accept her

The Post War Period Of Italy
The post war period in Italy represents a time of cultural, economic and political instability, as the
nation tried to re create the social bonds broken by the war and attempted to understand, and take
advantage of, the effects of mass industrialisation and urbanisation thanks to the economic miracle . It
was during this time from 1945 to 1960, with the people increasingly disenchanted with the ability of
the camera to truly portray the turmoil of recent history, that a new form of popular, neorealist cinema
emerged to reflect social reality and expand the viewer s moral, cultural and geographic perspectives .
This instability and new cinematographic outlook was the backdrop for two pertinent Italian films:
Rossellini s Roma Città Aperta, an authentic depiction of the daily lives of Italians in Nazi occupied
Rome, and Visconti s Rocco e i Suoi Fratelli, the journey of one Southern Italian family as they
migrate to the North during the economic boom in search of prosperity. For both of these films, the
ideas of resistance and struggle are two closely linked themes which play an integral part in the
portrayal of this period of Italian history. In order to gain a more insightful understanding of how each
of these are conveyed in Roma Città Aperta and Rocco e i Suoi Fratelli, it is beneficial to analyse
these films with reference to two sub themes: resistance to oppression and economic struggle. This
approach will make evident the comparisons between the two

The Fallen Poem
Comparing For the Fallen and I Was Only Nineteen
In today s modern world, the use of poetry to communicate and express oneself has become quite rare.
One of the main reasons is due to the fact that with such an old style of writing, it is very often hard to
understand properly. poetry is indeed difficult to read and hard to understand, but given time, it is a
rewarding challenge. Poetry is not only written verse but is used in songs as well. Taken the time to
listen to the words of modern songs, you will realise that the lyrics of the song are actually a poem
linking modern day music to poetry.
To help Year Twelve students that are studying poetry appreciate it s value, this pamphlet s aim is to

Spirit Of Offense
Do you walk in the spirit of offense?
The truth is, all of us at one time or another, have either been offended or offended someone.
And the good news is, we all have the opportunity to SHIELD UP!
How Do I know if I have the spirit of offense?
Before we get into what it means to Shield Up, let s first identify if we have the spirit of offense.
Even though we are told in James 1:19 to be slow to take offense, we have seen relationships
destroyed and people leave their church family over the spirit of offense. (Block Quote)
Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to
speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. ~ James 1:19 (AMPC)
So how can we tell if we walk in the spirit of offense? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Submission is meant for every believer. As God expects us to submit to Him, to each other, to our
spouses, employers, and our government!
Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always
ready to do what is good. ~ Titus 3:1(NLT)
The slippery slope here is that without submission, we can almost guarantee that we will walk in the
spirit of offense.
That s because to be discipled is to be mentored. To be mentored is to be held accountable.
However, you cannot be discipled without being teachable. You cannot be mentored without yielding
to submission. And you cannot receive accountability without humility.
In other words, when you walk in humility you will avoid walking in the spirit of offense!

The Belief Of God Or Gods
Animism has Latin roots and means soul or life conferring to the dictionary. It is cosmologically
involved. Also, it includes two beliefs the belief in measured forces throughout nature, in natural
objects, animals and humans; and the belief in personal gods and spirits throughout nature, in natural
objects, animals and human beings. Perhaps, this belief is interrelated with cosmology. It seems to
most religions that cosmological theory has an important role. God or gods is the sole and sustainer of
their faith and also of the universe. Yes, human beings like the Apache tribe have shown significant
traditional rites through the Sunrise Dance. It is an Apache girl who first experiences her menstruation.

Love, Family, Crime and Justice
Mary Shelley s Frankenstein explores several themes that define what it is to be a human. Victor
Frankenstein perceived the monster he created as an evil demon though the book prompts learners to
see the whole story from the monster s perspective. Learners will be forced to sympathize with the
monster as the book unfolds to showcase how he is alienated from a typical family after Victor
declined to create him a companion and how he results into monstrous acts while trying to seek
revenge for the injustices of his creator. The themes of love, family, crime and justice are crucial in a

The monster makes allusion to the Bible arguing that he should have a companion just like Adam in
the Bible rather being treated like a fallen angel. Being his creator, the monster had no one else to look
up to during such occasions. Coexisting with humans, the monster also wanted to experience love just
like any other ordinary person. All that the monster asked was understanding and acknowledgment
that he deserves better than what his creator was willing to offer. The monster violence attitude to his
creator and all those Victor holds dear solidifies where he places love among its scale of choices. It is
evident that it is the absence of love that prompts the monster to act wild and even commit murder in
extreme situations. All this leads to the deaths of Victor s brother, their house worker and his to be
wedded bride who have all killed the monster in the quest for revenge. The monster had spent time
with the De Lacey family and was well acquainted with the value of love in a social construct. It is
through love that people tend to comfort, console, and enjoy the fun together in a manner that is barely
dictated by what unfold in our environs and everyday lives. Interestingly, Victor s love for Elizabeth
almost drove him nuts after learning that the monster had killed the bride during the wedding day. This
forms the climax of the plays after Victor sets out to search for the monster and this

Melville intends something less black and white with more gray shading. Melville uses dramatic irony

Systems Administration and Network Administration
Systems Administration and Network Administration Systems administration and network
administration are, in many respects, very similar jobs. Both positions are highly involved in
maintaining the computer systems in an organization, and, in some smaller firms, the position may be
handled by the same individual. However, while there are significant similarities between systems
administration and network administration, there are differences in the roles as well. Basically
speaking, system administration focuses on computer systems and networks, while network
administration looks at maintenance and upkeep of the hardware and software that composes the
network (Entrance Exams 2012, 2012). Because there is obviously an overlap between the two
different job descriptions, it can be difficult to understand why it is so important for information
technology professionals to differentiate between network and systems administration. However,
when one understands the different roles of the two different positions, it becomes clear that, why they
might overlap, and why a single individual might be able to handle the position in a small
organization, there are actually substantial differences between the two positions. Particularly in a
large organization, the two jobs may need to be handled by different professionals with different skill
sets. It is because of these different skill sets that the industry has been so adamant about
differentiating between systems and network

and was woven in sonata form. It is known for having many staggering several key and time signature
changes and rhythmic figurations that mostly consist of dotted 8ths and 16ths, triplets, and groups of

Syme says to Winston, [d]on t you see the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought,

stay in power, it is essential to limit the people s ability to consciously make bad choices. This sense of
being compliant and obeying every rule made by Big Brother is made successful because of his ability
to limit the thoughts of the people through Newspeak. The rebellious protagonist of 1984, Winston,

Come to the Stone by Randall Jarrell
Randall Jarrell was one of the few poets of his time to vividly and accurately depict the horrible and
confusing reality of war. His experience in the military provided him with a deep understanding of
both the mind of a solider and a civilian. With this understanding of the human consciousness, Jarrell
deeply explores the actions, feelings, and interactions of people in times of war. Through his
sympathetic, psychological portrayal of a diverse range of narrative personas in his dramatic
monologues, Jarrell displays the dehumanizing forces of war. In the poem, Come to the Stone... Jarrell
establishes the simple fact of man s cruelty and explores the chaotic and confusing experience of war
through the eyes of a young boy. The intense experience of this poem is generated in the plain speech
of the lines. The people are punishing the people, why? The line isn t in quotation marks. It s Jarrell
who asks why, not the child. Still, the line is phrased like a child s observation and question. It is a
puzzle, a riddle, and a stark fact, like man s inhumanity to man, like violence especially against the
innocent, which is unthinkable suffering that s imposed by choice. After the bombers flash by, entering
and leaving the battlefield in an instant, the narrator sees that The ants had littered with their crumbs a
dead. The shift from the detailed description of the bombers to their view of the dead ants in the
aftermath shows the magnitude of the bombers destruction. Jarrell

Investigating The Internal Controls Of The Business...
Fraud prevention is a concern to both small businesses and large corporations alike. Business owners
place their trust into employees who are hired to perform duties that contribute to the success of the
company. When that trust is broken, or ideally before this occurs, businesses must look to their
internal controls in an effort to limit the opportunity for such malicious behavior. The purpose of this
paper is to define internal controls, explain the purpose it serves in the business environment, and
common internal control measures. Additionally, an example of internal control from this author s
employer will be discussed as well as an incidence of embezzlement found while researching this
topic. Let s first take a look at its definition and some examples. Internal controls, as defined by
Investopedia.com, are methods put in place by a company to ensure the integrity of financial and
accounting information, meet operational and profitability targets, and transmit management policies
throughout the organization. This system works best when applied to multiple divisions and deal with
inter departmental transactions. An example of the latter may be those occurring between the
originating department from where the transaction is originated, supply management, and accounts
payable. These methods can be broken down between a preventative and a detective category.
Preventive controls are just such: those policies and procedures that prevent an incident from
occurring.

Figurative Language In Emily Dickinson s Poems

descriptive or figurative language. By using imagery Dickinson made readers imagine how death is
like for her, she also creates tension to describe how intense that moment was. I could not see to see
(line 20) . would be classified as imagery because it gives readers an idea about her emotions at that
exact moment. Another literary element is mood. The mood is something Dickinson focuses on, and
tries to make clear. Depressing would count as the mood, because she says certain distressing things
about how she feels toward the subject of death. One last example of a literary element Dickinson
used in her poem is simile. A simile is when you compare two things using the words like or as . The
line The Stillness in the Room Was like the Stillness in the Air (lines 2 3) would count as a simile
because she is comparing two alike things, death and air. She s describing how silent she thinks death
really is, maybe even peaceful. Many themes can be interpreted by reading the poem I heard a Fly
buzz when I died but two themes seem to stick out. Mortality and family. Family is a big part of a
deathbed scene. Dickinson uses the theme mortality in the poem to explore all kinds of thing about
death. She thinks about how it feels, happens, what we expect

Asylum Seeker Rights
The process, effectiveness and limitations of the human rights system in protecting asylum seeker
rights.
It is widely accepted that Governments are primarily responsible for guaranteeing the basic human
rights of their citizens, however when a person becomes an asylum seeker they lose this State based
support and protection often it may not have been there in the first place. Without the assistance of
other States this vulnerable group of individuals can be open to persecution and violations of their
rights at home and abroad (UNHCR, 2015, np). Whilst providing a solutions based focus for the rights
of asylum seekers, it is argued that the current scope of the Convention Relating to the Status of

Technology and Communication Paper
Technology has affected all aspects of life and the criminal justice system is no exception. There are
so many ways where technology has been incorporated in the criminal justice and police departments
that I really do not know where to start. The invention of the lie detector test was huge in my opinion.
It can be given in the criminal justice system to try to get to the bottom of the truth. In police
departments you have the use of closed circuit televisions for property security, cameras in police
units, tape recorders used in police units and when conducting investigations and so forth.
In my opinion technological advancements enhance the effectiveness of communication. Let s take

In my opinion this is an excellent technological advancement that saves time and improves accuracy.
Facial recognition technology makes use of unalterable features of a face, such as the distance
between the centers of the pupils of the eye. It then uses an algorithm, a finite set of steps for solving a
problem, which converts the image to numbers . Weiss, Davis (2004)
Live scan is a fingerprint system that can be used in the criminal justice system and also for non
criminal justice use. Most law enforcement departments require all officers to be fingerprinted using
live scan technology. Once an officer is fingerprinted, his or her records are sent into varies databases.
The officers are required to be free of a criminal background so the prints are checks for previous
crimes. The prints are then sent to Sacramento (California) to various departments for processing such
as BSIC which is the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Because live scan is inkless it
saves paper and time because it s electronic which is better for the environment and more convenient
for law enforcement agencies. When a criminal is arrested his or her fingerprints are taken with the
live scan system and cross referenced for a match in a number of systems including the FBI. If there is
a match then the information is sent to the police department which includes the suspect s weight,
height, sex, and date of birth.

Social Identity And Career Choice Essay
TO WHAT EXTENT DOES SOCIAL IDENTITY DETERMINE JOB CHOICE
The literature review focuses on the collection of secondary data on the research topic, which is the
extent to which social identity determines job choice. The literature review is conducted under three
major themes, which act as the pivotal basis for constructing theoretical meaning to the larger research
problem.
The Social Identity Theory
Studies on social identity have been dated back to centuries. According to Heckman (2006) the reason
social identity studies remain very important to academicians and professionals is for the fact that all
people are social being and that at every point in time, it is important to find the impact of the social
system on an individual. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In most of these literatures, factor analysis has been used with emphasis on non pecuniary identity
payoffs (Wolfe and Haveman, 2003). The bowl of contention has however often been factors that most
align with social identity, where two major factors namely career orientation and social orientation has
been debated. Stets and Burke (2000) noted that career orientation factors are those social identity
variables that makes a person becomes concerned about career outcomes that match well with their
social beliefs, principles and expectations. For such people whose emphasis is on career orientation,
they would want the career choices they are making to give them the fullest assurance of protecting
their social identities and satisfying their social ambitions (Hoff and Priyanka, 2006). There is another
school of thought who have emphasised on social orientation in the search for a model for career
choice and identity. From the perspective of these reviewers, social identity is stronger than career
expectations and so at any point while entering a career, a person would look at his personal ability for
his social status to fit into the career that is being pursued, rather than want the career to fit social
ability (Wolfe and Haveman, 2003). But quite interestingly, both sides of the argument approached
from career orientation and social orientation end up with

Conventional Drug Delivery Systems ( Ddss )
Abstract:
With the emergence of more novel and effective drug therapies, increased importance is being placed
upon the methods by which these drugs are being delivered to the body. Different methodologies have
been heavily investigated as possible solutions , one of these methods are intelligent or Smart
polymeric drug delivery systems . Stimuli responsive and self regulating drug delivery systems have
captured the imagination of researchers, in large part because they suggest a means to mimic the
physiological homeostatic feedback mechanisms that are essential for health. As dysregulation of
homeostasis is a feature of many diseases such as diabetes and cancer.
1. Introduction:
Conventional drug delivery systems (DDSs) are often accompanied by systemic side effects that
mainly are attributed to their nonspecific bio distribution and uncontrollable drug release
characteristics. To overcome these limitations, advanced controlled DDSs have been developed to
achieve the release of payloads at the target sites in a spatial controlled manner.
Commercially available controlled release devices offer several advantages, e.g. they maintain the
drug within the desired therapeutic range with just a single dose, they allow localized drug delivery
which ultimately may reduce the need for follow up care, they preserve drugs that are rapidly
destroyed by the body and ultimately improve patient compliance.
With the breakthrough of the biotechnology field in medicine, many advantages of

Scarcity Of Water Essay
Leonardo da Vinci said, Water is the driving force of all nature. Most people will acknowledge this
statement because water is necessary for both life and good health. Water is an essential ingredient of
life not only for humans but also for the animals with which we share the world and the environment
that sustains our presence. This is the most pressing global issue because when water is no longer safe
to use, or is polluted, this causes problems in many other areas, such as with general health and
hygiene, child mortality, and the environmental stability for the farming and ranching industries.
According to the United Nations, forty percent of the world s population is a victim of water scarcity,
and the number is rising, which is why more recently this issue has become prominent with the media
internationally. In the end, water is how our world survives, and when its purity is in jeopardy, so is
the stability of our world. While it is easier for someone who lives in America to see the localized
water related problems in this country, such as the droughts in California and the Flint, Michigan
water quality crisis, clean water is a worldwide issue and a preventable one. Many impoverished
people must live with unclean water due to neglect of this problem by their governing political bodies.
The United Nations reports 1,000 children dying every day from diseases caused by unclean water and
sanitation issues that are avoidable with reasonable improvements. When the

addition to having a literary identity, she was also dealing with some social and political problems of
her age. Having a southern origin and being a woman from southern caused her to be a political ...

male centered society. The protagonist is not accurately described because the aim of Katherine Anne
Porter is not only to emphasize on individuals, she also tries to emphasize on the general relationships
of male and females. For example, in the story there are some dialogues that is referred to men s
perspective on women. One of the most important dialogues is between three male friends crossing
the road in front of the taxi of the protagonist. When I get married it won t be jus for getting married, I

Essay Anterior Cruciate Ligament
Anterior Cruciate Ligament
With an ever increasing number of people becoming involved with athletic activities, there is an
increasing number of injuries occurring which can be devastating for the individual. Most of the
injuries that affect athletes occur in one of four structures in the human body: bones, muscles, tendons,
or ligaments. Because ligaments attach bone to bone and play a major part in providing stability for
joints, the major stabilizing ligament in the knee, the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), assists in
performing everyday actions of the human body including sitting, standing, walking, running,
dancing, and participating in other sports. The injury that specifically affects this ligament is very
serious and always ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This short and round ligament, like all other ligaments, prevents slippage within the joint and allows
the joint to properly pivot when performing an action (Duff 300). Without this particular ligament, the
knees would be fragile and more susceptible to injury. Therefore, it would be impossible to do the
simplest movements that are done by humans everyday, like walking and even sitting. This is one
reason why many athletes should be aware of the physical indications that arise if they have torn their
ACL while participating in athletic activities.
In many cases, the symptoms that the patient feels after the trauma has occurred can help the doctor
make his or her diagnosis. Many times a doctor will ask the patient to recall what happened after the
injury was sustained. Usually with an ACL injury, the patient will describe a so called pop or snap that
he or she heard during the impact. Pain, which is not terribly excruciating, will immediately follow,
and if the individual tries to stand, he or she will be faced with an overwhelming feeling of instability,
the leg will buckle under, and the individual will ultimately fall down onto the ground. Although the
patient is experiencing pain, he or she cannot point out exactly where the injury has occurred. Garrick
states, some people say that their knee shifts in position which it actually does (118). Other symptoms
that may arise are stiffness and swelling which may continue for a long

Henry eventually gets his red badge of courage by getting hit in the head with a rifle. In Knowle s
novel, the symbol is the giant tree on the Devon campus. The giant tree represents fears and obstacles
of boys growing to be men. When Gene was younger the giant tree always gave him chills, because
that is where his friend Finny fell and broke his leg. Finny died because of the broken leg. Gene visits
Devon Boarding School around 15 years later. This time Gene is grown and in his mid thirties. Gene
notices the huge tree that gave him chills when he was younger. This time when Gene saw the huge
tree it seemed not as big as he expected it to be. The tree did not bring as much chills neither. It is easy
to infer that the tree brought a little discomfort to him because that is where his friend broke his leg. A
quote that proves the tree symbolizes fears and obstacles of boys says This was the tree, and it seemed
to me standing there to resemble those men, the giants of your childhood, whom you encounter years
later and find that they are not merely smaller in relation to your growth, but that they are absolutely
smaller, shrunken by age. In this double demotion the old giants have become pigmies while you were
looking the other way. (Knowles 14). The quote represents fears and obstacles, because the giants can
be scary. The giants also can get in the way of your life.

  • 2. Persuasive Letter Against Animal Cloning Dear mr. Paul Ryan the speaker of the white house, I ve seen your voting records and your campaigns from the past years and the current ones and i ve seen that you re helping people with fundraisers so I m pretty sure that you ll agree with me with not starting to clone and never start it. I believe it is the most unacceptable idea of how it will affect the people in a really bad way. Also, I believe that the taxpayer can benefit something else like actually help the people who need the money. I read an article about animals cloning before, and I was surprised how much money it costs someone to clone, like they re not even sure if the cloned pet will be exactly like the real one, And I don t believe it s normal because of course they ll add hormones and genes that ll become so unreal that it may be obvious. Also he believes that all human cloning is definitely wrong because no human life should be exploited or extinguished for the benefit of another. Also it would be a mistake to allow any human kind cloning to come out of that chamber. • 3. Neoclassical Architecture The Neoclassical architecture consisted in the mid 1800s to the early 1900s. One of the earliest phases of the neoclassical architecture grew alongside with the Baroque Period. The architecture is generally evident in England, where there are buildings like the St Paul s Cathedral, The Royal Observatory, and The Royal Chelsea Hospital. Large scale structures, Ionic pillars, and huge Renaissance style noodles represent the Neoclassical architecture. Many took inspirations from simple shapes like spheres, cubes, and cylinders so they could provide a more abstract classicism. Two well known architects of the neoclassical period were the British architect Robert Adam and American architect Thomas Jefferson. The British architect Robert Adam was one of the most important architects that worked in the neo Hellenic manner. Born in Kirkaldy, Scotland, he followed the steps of his father and studied architecture (Albert 1). His style worked well beyond only architect, but to interiors which included moveable objects in a room. Ancient Greece and Rome influenced his plans and decoration. He even got his own style which is experienced as the Adam Style or Adamesque. Some of his famous houses included the Kenwood House, Oseterley Park, and the Syon House (Study.com 1). His plans are a lot looser and less serious, with a broad range of color and ornamentation. His architecture was made to match the outside of the building so it would fit the interior. The distribution of those languages is in sequence Asia 2,165 or 32%, Africa 2,011 or 30%, the pacific 1,302 19%, The Americas 1,000 or 15% and Europe 225 or 3% . Asia becomes the continent with the most living languages in the world. Indonesia according to Grimes (1992) cited in Purwo, k. (2000) is reported to have 706 languages while Papua newgunie has 867 languages. Mostly, the 700s languages in Indonesia is in the eastern Indonesia in which Silzer and Heikkinen (1991) in Purwo, K. (2000) reports that 240 of the languages are in Irian Jaya. A number of the languages in the world are in danger if there is no effort to maintain the language. UNESCO reported that 10 languages are dead every year . Purwo further explains that in Australia in 18 centuries, there were 250 languages and today, there are only 20 languages left. A language can exist if the speakers of the language are more than 100,000 people. If we consider this condition, in Indonesia, there are 109 languages, not Java, which have less than 100,000 speakers. Those languages spread in Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Maluku, and NTT. In Lampung, according to Gunawan (1994) cited in Purwo, K. • 9. The Vanished Settlements Summary In chapter 5, The Vanished Settlements , John Viele reveals information about the 21 year span of life on the Keys. The Civil War, living conditions, mosquitoes, fresh water, and isolation are some of the main hardships that many of the settlers had to experience, but only a few could endure the setbacks and live prosperous lives, as well as their families. Henry Geiger, Temple Pent, and Happy Jack were the most prosperous men during the hard times of the Key West, and through others around them, their stories can now live on. Viele tells us only a few families remained living in the Keys after the Indian raids and the Second Seminole War. About 20 homes that were documented on the 1850 census, which together, held about 40 settlers. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The author says he sleeps on a cot and had to use a stool to keep his legs form going through it. He draws up a picture of Henry s home. The illustration shows that Henry was very luxurious. Henry made his living through the hauling and selling of wood, tanning deer, and growing vegetables and fruits, Viele says. Henry had managed the mosquitoes and lived a very successful life. Captain Temple Pent, was self educated, a skilled seaman, and pilot. Viele informs us, Pent was at sea at an early age of his life. At the age 16 he began to tend to a piece of land, better known today as Coconut Grove. After Florida was bought by the US, he became a citizen and had a family. Because of his reputation at sea, Commodore Porter offered Pent to serve as a squadron official. Pent moved his family to Key Vacas when the Seminole became violent, and eventually fled to Key West. Records show that Pent was appointed Inspector of Elections in 1836 and held leadership in a 100 population community. In 1860s, he was the Florida lighthouse keeper and lived there till his death in 1868. Viele shows that Pent had a lot of political success. Happy Jack had a plantation that grew various fruits and excellent sweet potatoes , as a 1856 surveyor notes. Viele tells us that Happy Jack s story is very blurry and comes from two different sources, one a writer whose article appeared in a Putnam s Monthly paper and the other is a friend. • 10. My Stranger Experience By Dr. John Howard, At The Dinah... For my Stranger Experience, I went to a lecture called Picturing Queer Souths , which was taught by Dr. John Howard, at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center. He is a professor at King s College in London, and he is also a University of Alabama alumnus. During this lecture, he discussed the different aspects of LGBT photography and how sexuality can be expressed through that medium, whether there are members of the community physically present in that photographs or not. There was a specific focus on southern photographers that are members of the LGBT community, not only in the American South, but also in relatively southern parts of the world, like South Africa for example. Through his lecture, Dr. Howard explored the idea that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The experience of attending the lecture was incredibly interesting to me. Personally, I identify as a heterosexual woman, so this was actually the first time I ever visited a place that was focused on LGBT life experiences and art. Interestingly enough, although the space was not necessarily queer exclusive, I believe that a majority of the attendees were members of the queer community. This led to several questions after the lecture pertaining to personal experiences from members of the community and how they related to the lecture that was shared. I think that one of the aspects of strangeness I experienced was the fact that I did not feel comfortable asking a question that I had at the end of the lecture. There was nothing necessarily telling me that I could not ask a question, in fact, it was encouraged for the most part. I simply felt like I was in a space that was specifically for queer people and that it was not my place to speak up, since I typically have the privilege of having my voice heard daily. Another aspect that felt strange to me was the overt sexuality of many of the photographs that were shown. I grew up in a very conservative Christian household, where I was taught that sexuality was something that was private and sex itself was reserved for married couples. Many of the photos shown during Dr. Howard s lecture showed partial or complete nudity, or were candid photos of LGBT couples participating in sex acts. This was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... MR and CT scanners both produce images of anatomical structure, but the images they generate look quite different. The striking difference between the two is that, bone structure (cortical) appears bright in CT, so is black in MR. MR images tend to have much higher contrast between grey matters. There are many instances in which it would be desirable to integrate the information obtained from two or more studies of the same patient. Application areas of multimodality matching include radio therapy and nuclear medicine [2]. In radiation therapy planning, a CT scan is needed fordose distribution calculations while the contours of the target lesion are often best outlined on MRI [3,4]. In nuclear medicine, determination of the anatomical location of dysfunctional areas and studies in functional structural relationships are facilitated by integration of functional and morphological information, and anatomical information may be used to improve PET or SPECT reconstructions. Since information gained from two images acquired in the clinical track of events is usually of a complementary nature, proper integration of useful data obtained from the separate images is often desired. The first step in the integration process is to bring the modalities involved into spatial alignment, a procedure referred to as registration/matching as shown in Figure 1. Even the blind can feel hunger, lack of access to good health care, high tariffs on basic utilities such as electricity and water which is as a result of privatization. This paper is going to highlight on the negative impacts of the World Bank s sponsored Structural Adjustment Program implemented by the government of Ghana from 1982 to 2008. STRUCTURAL ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM 1982 2008 This is what a researcher could say about this program to paint the big picture for readers, Clearly, the World Bank s structural adjustment of Ghana is a textbook example of how to ruin a country. The ruthless denial of mineral wealth, food, medical care, education and even water has made the population destitute spectators to the plunder of Ghana by foreigners. (Ismi. July, 2004). • 16. Oracle Of Delphi To Chaerephon About Socrates Study Question One: What is the message from the Oracle of Delphi to Chaerephon about Socrates? Early in Socrates testimony he refers to a witness by the name Chaerephon, he is described as an early friend of Socrates and to all those present at the trial. It is mentioned that he was exiled; however, he returned. According to Socrates, Chaerephon acted in a rash manner; thus, Chaerephon boldly asks the oracle of Delphi whether any man is wiser than Socrates. The Oracle of Delphi, also known as the Pythian prophetess, responded saying there was no man wiser (Pojman and Vaughn). We then learn that Chaerephon was dead, but his brother, who was present in court, could testify in support of the claim. Study Question Three: How does Socrates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I think of arrogance as excessive pride or dramatization with one s own achievements. The only blatant case of arrogance to me is when he proposes maintenance in the Prytaneum to be a just return (Pojman and Vaughn). Looking more into the Prytaneum, I found this is where victorious Olympic athletes ate for free; for Socrates to say he deserves free meals for the rest of his life does sound conceited. This feeling must have been shared by the jury, by comparing the first vote, determining if he was guilty, to the second vote, which determined his punishment, nearly 80 of those who voted for him to be not guilty supported the death penalty shortly after he made that remark. It s hard to say if he was serious though, all we get is a synopsis, his gesticulations could have indicated that he was trying to lighten up the atmosphere with a joke. Some may consider the anecdote about him finding out he was the wisest man alive from the God of Delphi to be arrogant; however, he wasn t the one who seeked the answer, it was his friend Chaerephon. Moreover, he was skeptical to find out that was the case, so he immediately set out to provide counter evidence to the Oracle. Lastly, emphatically advocating to reproach those who pretend to know something when they know nothing makes it hard to say he was arrogant; I see his behavior as a healthy skeptic who was hungry for the truth. The death penalty was absolutely unnecessary; unfortunately, he had more enemies in the jury than friends. As history shows unconventional views are generally suppressed by those with a vested interest, those who brought charges against him along with his other enemies enjoyed the superior social status that came with inflating one s wisdom, and ... This is not the problem between Elizabeth and Collins. Both Collins and Darcy provide Elizabeth with wealth that would make her comfortable in a practical way (even though one is clearly better than the other in this manner). But the argument for Elizabeth against Mr. Collins is her heart. She doesn t respect Collins in the way that she respects Darcy. The Post War Period Of Italy The post war period in Italy represents a time of cultural, economic and political instability, as the nation tried to re create the social bonds broken by the war and attempted to understand, and take advantage of, the effects of mass industrialisation and urbanisation thanks to the economic miracle . It was during this time from 1945 to 1960, with the people increasingly disenchanted with the ability of the camera to truly portray the turmoil of recent history, that a new form of popular, neorealist cinema emerged to reflect social reality and expand the viewer s moral, cultural and geographic perspectives . This instability and new cinematographic outlook was the backdrop for two pertinent Italian films: Rossellini s Roma Città Aperta, an authentic depiction of the daily lives of Italians in Nazi occupied Rome, and Visconti s Rocco e i Suoi Fratelli, the journey of one Southern Italian family as they migrate to the North during the economic boom in search of prosperity. For both of these films, the ideas of resistance and struggle are two closely linked themes which play an integral part in the portrayal of this period of Italian history. His experience in the military provided him with a deep understanding of both the mind of a solider and a civilian. With this understanding of the human consciousness, Jarrell deeply explores the actions, feelings, and interactions of people in times of war. Through his sympathetic, psychological portrayal of a diverse range of narrative personas in his dramatic monologues, Jarrell displays the dehumanizing forces of war. In the poem, Come to the Stone... Jarrell establishes the simple fact of man s cruelty and explores the chaotic and confusing experience of war through the eyes of a young boy. The intense experience of this poem is generated in the plain speech of the lines. The people are punishing the people, why? The line isn t in quotation marks. It s Jarrell who asks why, not the child. Still, the line is phrased like a child s observation and question. • 39. Investigating The Internal Controls Of The Business... Fraud prevention is a concern to both small businesses and large corporations alike. Business owners place their trust into employees who are hired to perform duties that contribute to the success of the company. When that trust is broken, or ideally before this occurs, businesses must look to their internal controls in an effort to limit the opportunity for such malicious behavior. The purpose of this paper is to define internal controls, explain the purpose it serves in the business environment, and common internal control measures. Additionally, an example of internal control from this author s employer will be discussed as well as an incidence of embezzlement found while researching this topic. Let s first take a look at its definition and some examples. Internal controls, as defined by Investopedia.com, are methods put in place by a company to ensure the integrity of financial and accounting information, meet operational and profitability targets, and transmit management policies throughout the organization. This system works best when applied to multiple divisions and deal with inter departmental transactions. An example of the latter may be those occurring between the originating department from where the transaction is originated, supply management, and accounts payable. These methods can be broken down between a preventative and a detective category. Preventive controls are just such: those policies and procedures that prevent an incident from occurring. ... Figurative language played a huge role in emphasizing the meaning of her poems, she also used dashes to highlight words. The poem I heard a Fly buzz when I died mainly described her deathbed scene. She used imagery to describe how the room looked and how inaudible the room she occupied was, because she could hear a fly. By using imagery Dickinson made readers imagine how death is like for her, she also creates tension to describe how intense that moment was. The mood is something Dickinson focuses on, and tries to make clear. Depressing would count as the mood, because she says certain distressing things about how she feels toward the subject of death. One last example of a literary element Dickinson used in her poem is simile. A simile is when you compare two things using the words like or as . The literature review is conducted under three major themes, which act as the pivotal basis for constructing theoretical meaning to the larger research problem. The Social Identity Theory Studies on social identity have been dated back to centuries. According to Heckman (2006) the reason social identity studies remain very important to academicians and professionals is for the fact that all people are social being and that at every point in time, it is important to find the impact of the social system on an individual. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In most of these literatures, factor analysis has been used with emphasis on non pecuniary identity payoffs (Wolfe and Haveman, 2003). The bowl of contention has however often been factors that most align with social identity, where two major factors namely career orientation and social orientation has been debated. Stets and Burke (2000) noted that career orientation factors are those social identity variables that makes a person becomes concerned about career outcomes that match well with their social beliefs, principles and expectations. For such people whose emphasis is on career orientation, they would want the career choices they are making to give them the fullest assurance of protecting their social identities and satisfying their social ambitions (Hoff and Priyanka, 2006). There is another school of thought who have emphasised on social orientation in the search for a model for career choice and identity. From the perspective of these reviewers, social identity is stronger than career expectations and so at any point while entering a career, a person would look at his personal ability for his social status to fit into the career that is being pursued, rather than want the career to fit social ability (Wolfe and Haveman, 2003). Conventional Drug Delivery Systems ( Ddss ) Abstract: With the emergence of more novel and effective drug therapies, increased importance is being placed upon the methods by which these drugs are being delivered to the body. Different methodologies have been heavily investigated as possible solutions , one of these methods are intelligent or Smart polymeric drug delivery systems . Stimuli responsive and self regulating drug delivery systems have captured the imagination of researchers, in large part because they suggest a means to mimic the physiological homeostatic feedback mechanisms that are essential for health. As dysregulation of homeostasis is a feature of many diseases such as diabetes and cancer. 1. Introduction: Conventional drug delivery systems (DDSs) are often accompanied by systemic side effects that mainly are attributed to their nonspecific bio distribution and uncontrollable drug release characteristics. To overcome these limitations, advanced controlled DDSs have been developed to achieve the release of payloads at the target sites in a spatial controlled manner. Commercially available controlled release devices offer several advantages, e.g. they maintain the drug within the desired therapeutic range with just a single dose, they allow localized drug delivery which ultimately may reduce the need for follow up care, they preserve drugs that are rapidly destroyed by the body and ultimately improve patient compliance. Water is an essential ingredient of life not only for humans but also for the animals with which we share the world and the environment that sustains our presence. This is the most pressing global issue because when water is no longer safe to use, or is polluted, this causes problems in many other areas, such as with general health and hygiene, child mortality, and the environmental stability for the farming and ranching industries. According to the United Nations, forty percent of the world s population is a victim of water scarcity, and the number is rising, which is why more recently this issue has become prominent with the media internationally. In the end, water is how our world survives, and when its purity is in jeopardy, so is the stability of our world. While it is easier for someone who lives in America to see the localized water related problems in this country, such as the droughts in California and the Flint, Michigan water quality crisis, clean water is a worldwide issue and a preventable one. Most of the injuries that affect athletes occur in one of four structures in the human body: bones, muscles, tendons, or ligaments. Because ligaments attach bone to bone and play a major part in providing stability for joints, the major stabilizing ligament in the knee, the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), assists in performing everyday actions of the human body including sitting, standing, walking, running, dancing, and participating in other sports. This is one reason why many athletes should be aware of the physical indications that arise if they have torn their ACL while participating in athletic activities. In many cases, the symptoms that the patient feels after the trauma has occurred can help the doctor make his or her diagnosis. Many times a doctor will ask the patient to recall what happened after the injury was sustained. Usually with an ACL injury, the patient will describe a so called pop or snap that he or she heard during the impact. Pain, which is not terribly excruciating, will immediately follow, and if the individual tries to stand, he or she will be faced with an overwhelming feeling of instability, the leg will buckle under, and the individual will ultimately fall down onto the ground.
