Exegetical Paper On I Corinthians 7
In I Corinthians 7, Paul declares that abandonment by an unbelieving spouse constitutes grounds for a
valid divorce. Paul clearly identifies this as an expansion of what Jesus has said (Matt. 5:31 32, 19:3
9) for he says, I say, not the Lord. As such, we can conclude that Paul considered his expansion to be
consistent with Jesus s teaching on divorce, even if Jesus himself had not explicitly taught it (or at
least it wasn t recorded). What we see in these two texts is a breakdown of the marriage covenant; one
spouse (or perhaps both) has decided to no longer be in covenant with the other either by means of
their unfaithful sexual behavior or by abandoning the other (including circumstances such as abuse).
What we can understand from this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As such, when this happens, there are grounds for a permissible divorce, as one spouse has utterly
shattered the marriage covenant with their spouse and God. Now, there is an obvious tension here.
Jesus reveals the spirit of the law within the SOM namely, that marriage was sacred, an echo of God s
covenant love, and now we are talking about permissible reasons for divorce. Paul s point wasn t that
we should seek our reason for a permissible divorce. Rather, Paul insists that we must not be quick to
jump at divorce, trying to find a reason or an excuse to get out. Divorce is permissible in some
situations, but it is rarely required. Divorce is a last resort when one spouse s heart has been so
hardened that they refuse to be before God and with and for their spouse as echo of God s covenant
love. But, what I believe Paul is articulating in this passage is that it is also wrong to demand one to
stay in a marriage that is no long a true marriage as one part has broken the covenant. So much more
to say and clarify, but alas I ve already blown passed 150

Causes of and Treatments for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) otherwise known as Lou
Gehrig s disease in the U.S. is a widely known debilitating disease that effects the upper and lower
motor neurons in the nervous system. The degeneration of the upper and lower motor neurons in turn
cause muscle atrophy and chronic loss of muscle use. ALS is the most common of the five motor
neuron disease. Heredity is a major cause of ALS but can show up in any patients. ALS usually
presents itself in late middle age but can show up in children and even young adults. The cause of
ALS is not known. It seems to be caused by a genetic mutation, but the mutation has to have an
environmental trigger to cause the disease. In the past the disease was believed to have one cause, but
that does not hold true to current findings. The majority of ALS cases are sporadic in nature and can
pop up anywhere, but 5 to 10 percent of cases has some sort of heredity involved. What is interesting
is that sporadic ALS and familial ALS may have the same genetic mutation and the environment is the
key factor in contracting the disease. Some of the signs and symptoms of Lou Gehrig s disease is loss
of voluntary muscle use. Cramping and twitching is common as the degrading axons become damaged
and cannot transmit the action potential needed to muscle contraction. Sometimes symptoms start
showing up in a specific region but can be mild loss of use to multiple areas also. The loss of use of

Bank Of The State Of Jammu And Kashmir
Its 2015 but still bank has not been able to provide financial services to the underprivileged people till
this date people are excluded from financial services. Strategies should be made according to the
different villages and all efforts must be put to raise the standard of people in the state of Jammu and
Kashmir. Bank should make polices for common people to ensure that inclusion of poor is kept in
mind.
Usually loans are taken because of problems faced by people it may be of financial loan loan for
marriages and medical loan. Customers avail these types of loans majority of times and it constitutes
53% of loan that people take from banks. One of the main concerns is that if people don t get loan
from bank they go for nonfinancial institution and these institutions charge high rate of interest to poor
people and whole life they are indebted.
Financial inclusion started with zero balance account i.e. without frills. But later it was not fruitful to
just have an zero balance account because there was no such services added to these accounts and
people even forgot when they opened accounts in banks. Zero balance account couldn t attract
customers because there were no services attached to the account. Finally Rbi with the help of Govt.
came with many schemes to attract people towards banks and provide them better financial services.
And people also got attracted to these services and that s why financial in is moving so fast in India.

Theme Of Love In Siddhartha
Love comes in a variety of different ways, feelings, states, and attitudes that range from interpersonal
affection to pleasure. It can be an emotional attraction and personal attachment. It can also represent
human kindness, compassion, and affection. There is not one single definition of love. We all know
the feeling of loving multiple people in multiple different ways. We love our parents differently than
we love our children, we love our children differently than we love our one night stand, and we love
our one night stand differently than we love our significant other. People show and receive love in
varied ways, all distinctly different from one another. In Siddhartha, Hermann Hesse displays love as a
universal language, shown in many different ways through and to different people ... Show more

In loving a friend, we have to let them go when they need to go and say what needs to be said even
when they do not want to hear it. Hesse quickly displays this type of love in the relationship between
Siddhartha and Govinda. By his side lived Govinda his shadow, walking the same path, submitting
himself to the same exertions (15). As Siddhartha counties his journey, Govinda makes the choice to
live on his own to follow the ways of life as a Shramana. As a friend, we always want to see the best
for each other, Siddhartha quickly comes to realization that though he never thought Govinda would
go on his own that is the best for him:
Then he spoke gently in a voice without a trace of scorn: Govinda, my friend, now you have taken the
step, now you have chosen the path. Always, o Govinda, you have been my friend, always you have
walked one step behind me. Often I have thought: Will Govinda never once take a step alone, without
me, from his own soul? See, now you have become a man and you yourself are choosing your path.
May you walk it to the end, o my friend. May you fine

Irony In The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow
Washington Irving was one of America s first short story writers, who used mostly humor and ironic
twists to his stories to keep people interested. One of his short stories, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,
is iconic for its style of humor and irony. The story revolves around a schoolteacher, Ichabod Crane,
and his adventure into Tarry Town, a short town in the area of Sleepy Hollow. There, he tries to woe
with Katrina, a beautiful young women who is the daughter of the rich farmer of the village. He tries
to tell her his feelings, but is unable to do so. The town hero, Brom Bones (who also has his eyes on
Katrina), sees the nervous wreck of Ichabod, and tells him the story of the ghost in the woods, a
soldier who was decapitated by a cannonball

The Molecular Mechanism Of Disease Development Essay
HS is a severe and chronic inflammatory disease with a devastating negative impact on the quality of
life. Unraveling the molecular mechanism of disease development is an important step towards curing
this chronic disease. To our knowledge, no published study has focused on an epigenetic approach in
HS using a genome wide high density methylation array. In the current study, CpG level methylation
statuses were obtained using Infinium HumanMethylation450 BeadChips for DNA samples from HS
subjects and normal controls. This enabled us to characterize differentially methylated regions
involved in HS pathogenesis and identify novel DNA methylation markers that have not previously
been reported with aberrant methylation in association with HS.
A ROC AUC ≥0.75 is generally characteristic of a good biomarker, and an AUC ≥0.9 represents an
excellent biomarker. In the present study, we have identified 304 CpG markers, all with an ROC AUC
≥0.75 and many with excellent diagnostic accuracy for the prediction of HS status; most of them have
not been investigated at the functional level. These 304 CpG sites on 304 genes are spread across
noncoding and coding, exonic, promoter and intronic regions with the largest number (32%) in the
intron of the gene, further emphasizing the importance of gene regulation by intronic sequences. Many
of these hypermethylated sites contain an open chromatin conformation and are occupied with a
number of transcription factors, further suggesting that these

Even though Microsoft Access has been around for a while now many people still do not know how to
use it and are just learning about it. Some different kinds of people that use Microsoft Access include:
scientists, employees in large office firms, any kind of business major, and quite a few more. When it
comes to working with Microsoft Access, people should know what it even is, what the kinds of
benefits there are, and what some of the different components are.
Microsoft Access is a database program. According to What is Microsoft Access Used For? (2015),
Microsoft Access is an information management tool that helps you store information for reference,
reporting, and analysis. Microsoft Access helps you analyze large amounts of information, and
manage related data more efficiently than Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications ( What is

more commonly used in larger businesses. Although it is more common in larger businesses, small
businesses can still use Access. If a company or person in general outgrows Access database, it is very
easy to upgrade to the next option. The next option is using a Microsoft SQL Server. When someone
switches to Microsoft SQL Server from Microsoft Access, they can send all of their tables and data to
the server. They can also keep all of their reports, forms, and queries that were made and worked on

The Electoral College Is A Privilege Of A Democratic Society
Voting to elect government officials is a privilege of a democratic society. Every four years, in one of
the most important events in U.S politics, millions of American citizens exercise their voting power by
casting a ballot for a presidential candidate. However, these millions of cast votes elect a small group
of state representatives known as the Electoral College, not the president of the United States. Under
the current voting system the power to elect the president is solely the responsibility of the Electoral
College not the people. Although the Electoral College has a rich history, it is an outdated voting
system and should be replaced by National Popular Vote. This method electing the American president
has been in practice since the eighteenth century. Two years after Americans gained independence
from the British, representatives from twelve of the thirteen original states gathered in Philadelphia to
write the U.S. Constitution. During that era, the states essentially operated as separate republics and
moreover its own legislative governing bodies. The goal of the document was to establish a strong
central government without diminishing state rights (Ross 21). After extensive debate and
compromise, the U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1788, thereby establishing the three branches of
government with executive power granted to the office of president. However, how should the
president be elected? Representatives debated three options: a direct vote by

include but are not limited to, socio economic classes, race, geographical boundaries, gender, etc.
When two cultures interact for the first time there is bound to be some discrepancies over what truly
occurred. These discrepancies are portrayed quite well through Bernal Diaz s The Conquest of New

However, in the account told by the Aztec s, [The Spaniards] ran everywhere; they invaded every

intention of the Spaniards. In Diaz s story he claimed, ...that in coming to see and speak with such a

That account claimed that all the Spaniards wanted was was to spread Christianity and meet someone

Essay on The Molten Core Theory
The Molten Core Theory
The center of the Earth is composed of a solid metallic core surrounded by a molten layer of liquid
metal. This paper will discuss the reasons to believe the theory that the Earth has a molten core, and
the important discoveries that have led to this generally accepted theory. It is very reasonable to agree
with this theory when paying credence to the logical evidence that answers questions about the Earth s
core. This evidence includes information about the elemental make up of the Earth, the reason for the
Earth s magnetic field, and some of the possibilities of the Earth s formation.

This tells them what, and how much of an element should be present in the Earth. This is how
scientists know what is present in the Earth. This is also what allows them to make judgments on what
is present deep inside of the Earth.
A recent study by professor of geology, Xiaodong Song, explains another way to affirm the
composition and structure of the interior of the Earth is through the use of seismic waves. Seismic
waves are waves created by movement in the Earth. These waves can have different properties that
can react with changing densities within the earth. Knowing the different reactions can be used to
determine the density of the earth at the different depths. It is also a powerful tool in determining the
elements present in the earth. Taking into consideration the different ways the waves react to the
elements can provide a clue as to the element that the wave has contacted. Certain seismic waves pass
through the Earth at different speeds, and furthermore, specific elements and compounds in the Earth
cause those waves to disperce differently. The different rates that these waves move at different depths
gives geologist information on the varying densities and compostition of the Earth at the locations.
Through the same basic idea of seismic waves and densities geologist have gathered enough evidence
to believe that the Earth has a solid core, surrounded by molten, metallic, elements. This is determined
from a specific

with a population of more than 20 million people. Lagos, Nigeria is the capital, nation s biggest urban
agglomeration, and is the third largest, most populated city in the world. Since early times, Lagos has
grown through rural urban migration. Lagos started off as a small farming and fishing settlement on an
island close to the coast. In 1472 the Portuguese arrived on the land and gave it its name as well as its
known role in the slave trade in the 17th century. Then in 1861 the British took over Lagos and

Due to the fast pace of urbanization and population growth in urban centers, the pace and growth rate
have outstripped the carrying capacity and resources being used to maintain public health standards,
environmental conditions, sanitation, and sustainable economic growth. (Adedeji, 2005) Urbanization
is a growing global issue and its impact is inevitable in Nigeria. Due to the many challenges posed by
the diverse problems associated with urbanization, the need for sustainable development in Nigeria is
immediately required especially from the government and developers who are responsible for urban
growth. The right policies and incentives need to be put in place if we are to have any hope in
preserving the existing cities and surrounding environments of these flourishing urban centers not only
for the well being of inhabitants, both physically and economically, but also for the future survival of
Lagos. Urbanization is defined as the ability of urban areas and their immediate regions to be able to
function at levels currently obtained and to maintain the quality of life residents have without reducing
options available to them in the current or future generations. Urbanization is a process of human
agglomeration in multi functional settlement of relatively substantial size. (Mabogunje, 1985) This

traditional learning. When I was an elementary student, I always enjoyed projects more than lectures
because I was never bored. When I m being talked at in a lecture about new information the important
points tend to go in one ear and out the other. I also know that I understand a concept better when I m
shown an example or when I try it out myself. When I was in 3rd grade, we had to make a simple

Wednesday Wars By William Shakespeare
The quality of mercy is not strained, is a line from the Shakespeare play The Merchant of Venice. This
line is used in the book Wednesday Wars by Gary Schmidt. This line means that people should not be
forced to be kind or show mercy. Showing mercy is something that should happen naturally in humans
and not be to benefit themselves or be forced to do it. It should come from the kindness of your heart.
Relating to the plot line of Wednesday Wars, the mean old teacher, Mrs. Baker, shows mercy towards
one of her students, Holling Hoodhood, when Holling brings in cream puffs for the whole class to eat,
but the class rats eat and destroy all of the cream puffs. To illustrate, the text states, Thank you for the

it is in Shakespeare. But Shakespeare was wrong. Sometimes there isn t a Prospero to make
everything fine again. And sometimes the quality of mercy is strained (page 72). The meaning behind
this quote is very true to reality. It means that with all the bad things going on in the world, there is not
always someone to be the knight in shining armor, or to be the good guy and save the day. People are
not always nice to each other. Sometimes tragedies happen, and even though they are never happen, it

Transparency operates in such a way that it is easy for other people to see what action is taken. It has
been defined as the quality that is seen as intentionally shared information of the sender. Transparency
is practiced in companies, organizations, administration, and society. It guides the decisions and
policies of the organization to the disclosure of information to workers and the general public, or only
the intended recipient of information.
For Chipotle Company, transparency is particularly important in leadership. Therefore, these products

Data Modeling For A Relational Database Management System
The need to store and evaluate data is a perpetually growing field in the world of information systems.
From the days of using flat files to very large database management systems that store petabytes of
data in real time, the practice of building information from data continues to evolve. Today, the
relational data model is quite ubiquitous and is used in a plethora of information systems ranging from
accounting systems, banks, retail business, and scientific usage. It is important to understand the
concepts involved in data modeling for a relational database management system in order to build an
effective and efficient system.
Data models weren t as sophisticated in the early days as they are today. In the 1960 s and 70 s the
first generation data models were comprised of an ad hoc file system with no concept of relationships
between the files (Coronel Morris, 2015). For instance, one file might contain rows of customer
records while another would house invoices. For simple data, file systems worked, but for large sets of
interconnecting data, a data processing specialist was needed to create a program that fetched the
proper data, analyze it, formatted it, and presented it in a report that made sense to the end user. For
every new query, the data processing specialist needed to create a separate application. Files became
increasingly cumbersome the more that were added and they duplicated quite a bit of data since there
were no relationships between files. The time

Symbols In Macbeth Essay
The final act of Shakespeare s Macbeth is the culmination of the entire play, and Shakespeare uses
heavy symbolism to portray the final ideas of this tragedy. In the first scene, it is revealed that Lady
Macbeth has been sleepwalking, an expression of her anxiety. However, the Doctor asks How came
she by that light (i. 23) and why she rubs // her hands (i. 28 29). Throughout the play, Lady Macbeth
has been wrought with guilt because of Duncan s death. Now, she has an ever burning candle always
at her side. This candle represents her state of mind, with the lit wick her guilt that constantly eats
away at her. Additionally, she rubs her hands because, in her state of dream, she is washing them to
wash the blood off. These images were used ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
...Come sir, dispatch. ... again. Pull t off it, I say. (iii. 60 66). Each line break is a break of the poetry
and symbolic of the unraveling of Macbeth. Additionally, while Macbeth unravels, he asks his servant
Seyton, an allusion in his own rite, to put on and take off his armor multiple times, a verbal indication
of this disorder. However, it goes deeper than just the words themselves, but the division of the scenes
is symbolic of this unraveling. While Shakespeare did not write his plays into scenes, the constant
change of character and location within Act V in stark contrast to many longer scenes from the rest of
the play make apparent the undoing of Macbeth. Finally, the death of Macbeth is the ultimate symbol
within the end. Up until this point, every character had died in the night (except for Young Siward)
and an unnatural darkness had consumed most of the play. At the time of the final battle, the sun, a
symbol of good and victory, shines high over Macbeth s defeat. This moment culminates the conflicts
of evil and good, night and day, Macbeth and Scotland, and restores the order to the chain of being.
Though this dynamic symbolism, Macbeth brings an end to Macbeth and his regime, restoring peace

A Research About Bocce
History: Bocce Ball has been evolving for thousands of years. The basics of the game can be traced

Scoring: Bocce ball is a game played with two teams, each comprised of one, two or four players.
Each team has four bocci balls with which to play, and they are divided equally among players. Each
team tosses the bocci balls as close to the pallina ball as possible.
How to play:
1.) Divide players into two teams of one, two or four players each. Each team gets four balls, divided
equally among the players. A coin toss determines who will play first.
2.) To start the game have a player from the starting team stand behind the foul line (which is 10 feet
from the throwing end of the court) and throw the small ball, or pallina, toward the opposite end of the
playing surface. The same person who tossed the Pallino then throws the one Bocce Ball trying to get
it as close to the Pallino as possible without touching it.
3.) The next team then throws one ball trying to get closer than the first team. If team two gets closer,
then it is Team one s turn. If Team Two s ball does not come closer then they continue to throw until

The world was once familiar with what is recognized as the Holocene; however, because of the harm

specific genre, which refers to a form of entertainment that has the main goal of igniting laughter
within an audience, has been around for centuries and is still extremely prevalent in the present day. It
dates back all the way to Ancient Greece when comedy was purely satirical. At the time, humor was
found in doing parodies of politics and social organizations. Since then, the style has gone through
tremendous transformations and in its modern age, is far different than the comedy from all those

This piece is the oldest work that Aristophanes has left behind and is celebrated for being the perfect
example of a true ancient comedy. Even as years go by, several critics maintain that the comedic
element in this play is still applicable and relevant to the modern day.
In Laughter (1924) author, Henri Bergson, an influential French philosopher, and fan of comedy, seeks
to further understand laughter in all of its complexity. Straightaway he establishes three ideas quite
clearly: comedy is human, laughter requires an absence of every other emotion, and it plays a huge
role in social life. He goes on further with the social aspect of laughter, even suggesting that laughter
needs cannot occur without multiple people with the following telling statement: You would hardly
appreciate the comic if you felt yourself isolated from others. Laughter appears to stand in need of an
echo [...] Our laughter is always the laughter of a group (6). Throughout the book, Bergson brings up
his own theory of laughter, seeing it as almost a part of evolution. Laughter

Douglas s Learning To Read And Write By Frederick Douglass
All humans are created equally and are born with free will. Every person has the natural right to be the
author of their life, meaning that they can make their own choices and pursue their dreams.
Nevertheless, humans bent nature to their will by adopting slavery, a practice in which humans are
owned and are brutally forced to work. In the excerpt Learning to Read and Write, Frederick Douglass

Covey (2004) discusses about the four dimensions of renewal that include: the physical, mental,

Niyazov And Isolation
1984, is a book that was published in 1949 and written by George Orwell. His reason for writing the
book was the hope that humans would read it and come to a realization that our world was headed
toward a dictator like or tyrannical style of government. Some ignorant people living in first world
countries might say that he was wrong, but those smart enough know just how right he was. These
terrifying places are very much real in the world today. The people living in these cruel environments

Summary Of The Prayer Book Of Anne De Bretagne
The prayer book of Anne de Bretagne, painted by the artist Jean Poyer, though containing only thirty
one folios, presents a wealth of material to study and interpret. It is just one of many examples of
religious manuscripts commissioned by Anne that were extremely personalised, and noting each
personalisation provides insight, not only into Jean Poyer s artistic methods, but also into the character
of Anne de Bretagne. Its composition affords an example of the shift in perspective of the purpose of
images, particularly within the context of the end of the 15th century. It also perfectly displays the
logical move in interest from text to image that followed this fascinating transformation in the

The hazy landscape in the image depicting the martyrdom of St. Ursula (Fol. 17v), for example,
displays an attention to detail and accuracy through its aerial perspective, enforced by colours,
particularly blue, all of which are of a lush hue, significantly improving the images believability
through its distribution, accommodating the perspective by increasing the perception of depth. The
landscape in the background adds layers of dimension to the profundity of the field of view in which
the scene takes place, and this is due to the use of lighter colours towards the front, particularly on the
martyrs and their persecutors, and darker hues that only become darker in the background, striking a
contrast between the main figures and their surroundings. The miniature of St. Nicholas (Fol. 14v.) is
just one example of the use of linear perspective in this prayer book. The tiles upon which St.
Nicholas stands provide lines with which the direction of the vanishing point is indicated. The interior
of the building contains what looks like a column, and this, coupled with the strong vertical of the
building itself, further emphasises the rectilinearity of the whole composition. Such miniatures as St.
Catherine Confounding the Doctors (Fol. 19v) illustrate Poyer s use of both aerial

Critical Issue on Psychological Debriefing
Two facts presented by Mitchell of the critical issue (Mitchell, 1983).
The CISD protocol that Mitchell described was a group process of seven distinct phases. Prior to this

It was said from the studies they all failed because they did not demonstrate a clear benefit of
debriefing (McNally et al., 2003), with intervention groups and control groups reporting equivalent
posttraumatic symptoms.
Psychological debriefing responded to these results by claiming there is only one component of a
comprehensive approach to crisis management and it is meaningless to evaluate the effectiveness of
this one component as a singular intervention strategy (McNally et al., 2003). The heart of this debate
is the issue of whether psychological debriefing might be a waste of resources (Brewin, 2001;
McNally, 2004). Mitchell has been shown to be credible because of the seven steps he believes to be
workable. In 1983, he introduced Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD). The model he developed
was designed to prevent and manage the horror resulting from traumatic stress, and reduce the
casualties among emergency service personnel. Mitchell model poses the below seven unique phases,
which are integrated with stress education and information throughout the process.
Introductory phase (rules and process explained).
Fact phase (what they saw, heard, smelled, touched and did).
Thought phase (first thoughts).
Feeling phase (emotional reaction).
Assessment phase (physical or psychological symptoms).
Education phase (stress response syndrome).

The Lottery by Shirley Jackson is an extremely captivating and terrifying story. The author of Jackson
s The Lottery describes Shirley Jackson s short story perfectly, It is a grim, even nihilistic, parable of
the evil inherent in human nature (Coulthard 226). The Lottery creates an immensely eerie story by
using the setting of a small town, the nonchalant attitude of the community, and the tone of the author.
The size and remoteness of the village really brings the creepiness of the story together. It makes the

Medieval Knighthood And The Code Of Chivalry In The...
Medieval knights:
The Medieval period was dominated by the feudal system and the role of the Medieval knights and
their servants. Articles about their life, living conditions, clothing, weapons, training, armor,
tournaments and jousts of the Medieval Knights can be found in this section. When we think of the
Medieval times the first thought often takes us to the Medieval knights and their ladies. It was the duty
of a Medieval Knight to learn how to fight and so serve their liege Lord according to the Code of
Chivalry. But this was an extremely violent era in European and English history. Weapon practise
included enhancing skills in the two handed sword, battle axe, mace, dagger and lance. A Knight
would be expected to guard a Castle and support his liege lord in Medieval warfare. Details of the life
of Medieval knights in a castle, together with castle warfare, are covered in the section about

Medieval Knights Knighthood and the Code of Chivalry:
A knight was expected to have not only the strength and skills to face combat in the violent era of the

The ideals described in the Code of Chivalry were emphasised by the oaths and vows that were sworn

homeland, which are related to the german idea of heimat, which is the value of home. However in
American beauty the typical American success was portrayed, which ... Show more content on

However following the basic american dream idea in the film American beauty and chasing money
lead to a dystopian end and family destruction, which is a cautionary tale that money is not the most
important thing in life, but family ties and connections. All the families in American beauty were
psychotic, unstable and terrifying, which shows the effect of the American myth on people that it
destroys relationships as I mentioned by the family being torn apart and just faking that it s a happy
family, everything went downhill. To explain the idea that the american dream is just a false myth, In
American dream at the end of the movie nothing came back to equilibrium after the chaos so the end
was dystopian, this is because the family ties were not strong and money and fortune were the main
goals. In contrast in It s a wonderful life, the equilibrium of the narrative was resorted and the end was
utopian by the happy family gathering. The idea of the male gaze was presented in both movies to
show male sexuality and urge and portray women as a subject of joy. Few examples were Riky

Antonin Dvorak was a Pariotic, Classical Music Composer
Does the idea of a patriotic classical music composer sound a little odd? Believe it or not, the talented
Antonin Dvorak was one such composer. Born in Czechoslovakia, his works were largely inspired by
the multitude of folk music presented in his home land, and also by the incredible Christian Reformer
John Huss. Even though he was a Czech, he did live in America for about 3 years, and from here he
created one of his best works: From the New World symphony. Overall, he can be considered a very
key composer in the Romantic period of music. The famed Czech composer, Antonin Dvorak, was
born in a Bohemian village of Czechoslovakia on September 8th, 1841 (Carlson Smith, 154). After
several years of living and learning music in his home village, eventually Dvorak moved to Prague at
the age of 16 to continue his education in music. Pursuing his studies diligently, and after working
various odd jobs, he eventually became a professor of music at the Prague Conservatory (Pogue
Speck, 64). While in Prague, he married his lovely wife Anna Cermakova in the November of 1873,
and was happily married for the rest of his life to her (Encyclopedia Britannica). Performing all over
Prague, eventually Dvorak s incredible work was discovered by the famed composer Johannes
Brahms, who recommended Dvorak to Brahms publisher Simrock. Simrock took to liking Dvorak s
works so much, that he agreed to publish works like the Moravian Duets in 1876, and the Slavonic
Dances in 1878. These works

Life In Milan Kundera s The Unbearable Lightness Of Being
In The Unbearable Lightness of Being , Milan Kundera informs readers that without the ability to
compare our lives to others, we cannot find meaning in our lives, but remain between life s lightness
and heaviness. He does this by illustrating the relationships between four characters: Tomas, Tereza,
Sabina, and Franz. The novel begins in the year 1968 with Tomas, who is a brilliant surgeon from
Prague and a perpetual bachelor. In a small town cafe, he fortuitously met Tereza, who was his
waitress; to Tereza, the moment was magical because one of her favorite compositions by Beethoven
was playing on the radio and that he enjoyed literature. Tereza evidently followed Tomas to Prague
with her life packed within a suitcase and she intended to offer her life to him. The two started living
with each other, but Tomas was incapable of terminating his bachelor lifestyle full of mistresses. He
tried to hide his infidelity, but Tereza found a letter from one of his mistresses, Sabina. She wrote to
Tomas saying, I want to make love to you in my studio. It will be like a stage surrounded by people.
The audience won t be allowed up close, but they won t be able to take their eyes off us. (Pg. 16).
Tomas confessed and told her that these sexual acts were separate from his love for her. This
information marred Tereza s mind; she starting having horrendous nightmares and began
contemplating suicide. He then married her, to relieve her of her distress. Yet he still kept his
mistresses. Eventually Sabina and Tereza become close friends, but Tereza s jealousy still remained
the same. Sabina, Tereza, and Tomas fled to Switzerland due to the Soviet Union inhabiting
Czechoslovakia. Tereza left behind her career as a photographer, became unemployed, and had to sit
home alone as Tomas continued his affairs. She then began to believe, when the strong were too weak
to hurt the weak, the weak have to be strong enough to leave. (Pg. 75). Then, she returned back to
Prague. Tomas was enjoying his liberation for a few days, but he gave up and left for Prague. This
evidently meant that the couple gave up their freedom because there was no chance that the couple
would be allowed to leave again due to the Communist regime. In

  • 2. Exegetical Paper On I Corinthians 7 In I Corinthians 7, Paul declares that abandonment by an unbelieving spouse constitutes grounds for a valid divorce. Paul clearly identifies this as an expansion of what Jesus has said (Matt. 5:31 32, 19:3 9) for he says, I say, not the Lord. As such, we can conclude that Paul considered his expansion to be consistent with Jesus s teaching on divorce, even if Jesus himself had not explicitly taught it (or at least it wasn t recorded). What we see in these two texts is a breakdown of the marriage covenant; one spouse (or perhaps both) has decided to no longer be in covenant with the other either by means of their unfaithful sexual behavior or by abandoning the other (including circumstances such as abuse). What we can understand from this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As such, when this happens, there are grounds for a permissible divorce, as one spouse has utterly shattered the marriage covenant with their spouse and God. Now, there is an obvious tension here. Jesus reveals the spirit of the law within the SOM namely, that marriage was sacred, an echo of God s covenant love, and now we are talking about permissible reasons for divorce. Paul s point wasn t that we should seek our reason for a permissible divorce. Rather, Paul insists that we must not be quick to jump at divorce, trying to find a reason or an excuse to get out. Divorce is permissible in some situations, but it is rarely required. Divorce is a last resort when one spouse s heart has been so hardened that they refuse to be before God and with and for their spouse as echo of God s covenant love. But, what I believe Paul is articulating in this passage is that it is also wrong to demand one to stay in a marriage that is no long a true marriage as one part has broken the covenant. Causes of and Treatments for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) otherwise known as Lou Gehrig s disease in the U.S. is a widely known debilitating disease that effects the upper and lower motor neurons in the nervous system. The degeneration of the upper and lower motor neurons in turn cause muscle atrophy and chronic loss of muscle use. ALS is the most common of the five motor neuron disease. Heredity is a major cause of ALS but can show up in any patients. ALS usually presents itself in late middle age but can show up in children and even young adults. The cause of ALS is not known. It seems to be caused by a genetic mutation, but the mutation has to have an environmental trigger to cause the disease. In the past the disease was believed to have one cause, but that does not hold true to current findings. The majority of ALS cases are sporadic in nature and can pop up anywhere, but 5 to 10 percent of cases has some sort of heredity involved. What is interesting is that sporadic ALS and familial ALS may have the same genetic mutation and the environment is the key factor in contracting the disease. Some of the signs and symptoms of Lou Gehrig s disease is loss of voluntary muscle use. Cramping and twitching is common as the degrading axons become damaged and cannot transmit the action potential needed to muscle contraction. Sometimes symptoms start showing up in a specific region but can be mild loss of use to multiple areas also. The loss of use of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of the main concerns is that if people don t get loan from bank they go for nonfinancial institution and these institutions charge high rate of interest to poor people and whole life they are indebted. Financial inclusion started with zero balance account i.e. without frills. But later it was not fruitful to just have an zero balance account because there was no such services added to these accounts and people even forgot when they opened accounts in banks. Zero balance account couldn t attract customers because there were no services attached to the account. It can be an emotional attraction and personal attachment. It can also represent human kindness, compassion, and affection. There is not one single definition of love. We all know the feeling of loving multiple people in multiple different ways. We love our parents differently than we love our children, we love our children differently than we love our one night stand, and we love our one night stand differently than we love our significant other. As Siddhartha counties his journey, Govinda makes the choice to live on his own to follow the ways of life as a Shramana. As a friend, we always want to see the best for each other, Siddhartha quickly comes to realization that though he never thought Govinda would go on his own that is the best for him: Then he spoke gently in a voice without a trace of scorn: Govinda, my friend, now you have taken the step, now you have chosen the path. Always, o Govinda, you have been my friend, always you have walked one step behind me. Often I have thought: Will Govinda never once take a step alone, without me, from his own soul? • 7. The Molecular Mechanism Of Disease Development Essay HS is a severe and chronic inflammatory disease with a devastating negative impact on the quality of life. Unraveling the molecular mechanism of disease development is an important step towards curing this chronic disease. To our knowledge, no published study has focused on an epigenetic approach in HS using a genome wide high density methylation array. In the current study, CpG level methylation statuses were obtained using Infinium HumanMethylation450 BeadChips for DNA samples from HS subjects and normal controls. This enabled us to characterize differentially methylated regions involved in HS pathogenesis and identify novel DNA methylation markers that have not previously been reported with aberrant methylation in association with HS. A ROC AUC ≥0.75 is generally characteristic of a good biomarker, and an AUC ≥0.9 represents an excellent biomarker. In the present study, we have identified 304 CpG markers, all with an ROC AUC ≥0.75 and many with excellent diagnostic accuracy for the prediction of HS status; most of them have not been investigated at the functional level. These 304 CpG sites on 304 genes are spread across noncoding and coding, exonic, promoter and intronic regions with the largest number (32%) in the intron of the gene, further emphasizing the importance of gene regulation by intronic sequences. Many of these hypermethylated sites contain an open chromatin conformation and are occupied with a number of transcription factors, further suggesting that these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. The Electoral College Is A Privilege Of A Democratic Society Voting to elect government officials is a privilege of a democratic society. Every four years, in one of the most important events in U.S politics, millions of American citizens exercise their voting power by casting a ballot for a presidential candidate. However, these millions of cast votes elect a small group of state representatives known as the Electoral College, not the president of the United States. Under the current voting system the power to elect the president is solely the responsibility of the Electoral College not the people. Although the Electoral College has a rich history, it is an outdated voting system and should be replaced by National Popular Vote. This method electing the American president has been in practice since the eighteenth century. Two years after Americans gained independence from the British, representatives from twelve of the thirteen original states gathered in Philadelphia to write the U.S. Constitution. During that era, the states essentially operated as separate republics and moreover its own legislative governing bodies. The goal of the document was to establish a strong central government without diminishing state rights (Ross 21). After extensive debate and compromise, the U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1788, thereby establishing the three branches of government with executive power granted to the office of president. This tells them what, and how much of an element should be present in the Earth. This is how scientists know what is present in the Earth. This is also what allows them to make judgments on what is present deep inside of the Earth. A recent study by professor of geology, Xiaodong Song, explains another way to affirm the composition and structure of the interior of the Earth is through the use of seismic waves. Seismic waves are waves created by movement in the Earth. These waves can have different properties that can react with changing densities within the earth. Knowing the different reactions can be used to determine the density of the earth at the different depths. It is also a powerful tool in determining the elements present in the earth. Taking into consideration the different ways the waves react to the elements can provide a clue as to the element that the wave has contacted. Certain seismic waves pass through the Earth at different speeds, and furthermore, specific elements and compounds in the Earth cause those waves to disperce differently. The different rates that these waves move at different depths gives geologist information on the varying densities and compostition of the Earth at the locations. Through the same basic idea of seismic waves and densities geologist have gathered enough evidence to believe that the Earth has a solid core, surrounded by molten, metallic, elements. • 24. Data Modeling For A Relational Database Management System The need to store and evaluate data is a perpetually growing field in the world of information systems. From the days of using flat files to very large database management systems that store petabytes of data in real time, the practice of building information from data continues to evolve. Today, the relational data model is quite ubiquitous and is used in a plethora of information systems ranging from accounting systems, banks, retail business, and scientific usage. It is important to understand the concepts involved in data modeling for a relational database management system in order to build an effective and efficient system. Data models weren t as sophisticated in the early days as they are today. In the 1960 s and 70 s the first generation data models were comprised of an ad hoc file system with no concept of relationships between the files (Coronel Morris, 2015). For instance, one file might contain rows of customer records while another would house invoices. For simple data, file systems worked, but for large sets of interconnecting data, a data processing specialist was needed to create a program that fetched the proper data, analyze it, formatted it, and presented it in a report that made sense to the end user. For every new query, the data processing specialist needed to create a separate application. Files became increasingly cumbersome the more that were added and they duplicated quite a bit of data since there were no relationships between files. The time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. Symbols In Macbeth Essay The final act of Shakespeare s Macbeth is the culmination of the entire play, and Shakespeare uses heavy symbolism to portray the final ideas of this tragedy. In the first scene, it is revealed that Lady Macbeth has been sleepwalking, an expression of her anxiety. However, the Doctor asks How came she by that light (i. 23) and why she rubs // her hands (i. 28 29). Throughout the play, Lady Macbeth has been wrought with guilt because of Duncan s death. Now, she has an ever burning candle always at her side. This candle represents her state of mind, with the lit wick her guilt that constantly eats away at her. Additionally, while Macbeth unravels, he asks his servant Seyton, an allusion in his own rite, to put on and take off his armor multiple times, a verbal indication of this disorder. However, it goes deeper than just the words themselves, but the division of the scenes is symbolic of this unraveling. While Shakespeare did not write his plays into scenes, the constant change of character and location within Act V in stark contrast to many longer scenes from the rest of the play make apparent the undoing of Macbeth. Finally, the death of Macbeth is the ultimate symbol within the end. Up until this point, every character had died in the night (except for Young Siward) and an unnatural darkness had consumed most of the play. At the time of the final battle, the sun, a symbol of good and victory, shines high over Macbeth s defeat. This moment culminates the conflicts of evil and good, night and day, Macbeth and Scotland, and restores the order to the chain of being. The landscape in the background adds layers of dimension to the profundity of the field of view in which the scene takes place, and this is due to the use of lighter colours towards the front, particularly on the martyrs and their persecutors, and darker hues that only become darker in the background, striking a contrast between the main figures and their surroundings. • 40. Antonin Dvorak was a Pariotic, Classical Music Composer Does the idea of a patriotic classical music composer sound a little odd? Believe it or not, the talented Antonin Dvorak was one such composer. Born in Czechoslovakia, his works were largely inspired by the multitude of folk music presented in his home land, and also by the incredible Christian Reformer John Huss. Even though he was a Czech, he did live in America for about 3 years, and from here he created one of his best works: From the New World symphony. Overall, he can be considered a very key composer in the Romantic period of music. The famed Czech composer, Antonin Dvorak, was born in a Bohemian village of Czechoslovakia on September 8th, 1841 (Carlson Smith, 154). After several years of living and learning music in his home village, eventually Dvorak moved to Prague at the age of 16 to continue his education in music. Pursuing his studies diligently, and after working various odd jobs, he eventually became a professor of music at the Prague Conservatory (Pogue Speck, 64). While in Prague, he married his lovely wife Anna Cermakova in the November of 1873, and was happily married for the rest of his life to her (Encyclopedia Britannica). Performing all over Prague, eventually Dvorak s incredible work was discovered by the famed composer Johannes Brahms, who recommended Dvorak to Brahms publisher Simrock. He does this by illustrating the relationships between four characters: Tomas, Tereza, Sabina, and Franz. The novel begins in the year 1968 with Tomas, who is a brilliant surgeon from Prague and a perpetual bachelor. In a small town cafe, he fortuitously met Tereza, who was his waitress; to Tereza, the moment was magical because one of her favorite compositions by Beethoven was playing on the radio and that he enjoyed literature. Tereza evidently followed Tomas to Prague with her life packed within a suitcase and she intended to offer her life to him. The two started living with each other, but Tomas was incapable of terminating his bachelor lifestyle full of mistresses. He tried to hide his infidelity, but Tereza found a letter from one of his mistresses, Sabina. She wrote to Tomas saying, I want to make love to you in my studio. It will be like a stage surrounded by people. The audience won t be allowed up close, but they won t be able to take their eyes off us. (Pg. 16). Tomas confessed and told her that these sexual acts were separate from his love for her. This information marred Tereza s mind; she starting having horrendous nightmares and began contemplating suicide. He then married her, to relieve her of her distress. Yet he still kept his mistresses. Eventually Sabina and Tereza become close friends, but Tereza s jealousy still remained the same. Sabina, Tereza, and Tomas fled to Switzerland due to the Soviet Union inhabiting Czechoslovakia. Tereza left behind her career as a photographer, became unemployed, and had to sit home alone as Tomas continued his affairs. She then began to believe, when the strong were too weak to hurt the weak, the weak have to be strong enough to leave. (Pg. 75). Then, she returned back to Prague.
