Supernova Persuasive Essay
A possible external threat from space that could result in the extinction of human life on Earth is
a supernova. A supernova is an explosion of a star in the universe. There are more than a hundred
billion stars in our milky way galaxy (226). Most of the star explosions happen fairly far away from
our solar system. However, because our sunorbits the galaxywe will be neighbouring different sets
of stars at different points in time. Sometimes we are even just tens of light years away from a
supernova(226). The closer you are to a supernova the most damage will be done. When
supernovae happen there are large amounts of very high energy particles called cosmic rays that can
cause lethal mutations which lead to mass extinctions (226). Apart from

Swatch and the Global Watch Industry
1. How did Timex succeed the Swiss as world volume leader in the 1950s and 1960s?
Timex toppled the world dominance of the Swiss by streamlining the watch making process
therefore also making the process very scaleable. The Swiss had dominated in an era where very
little competition existed. This paved the way for the Swiss and their high cost watch producers to
remain dominant as consumers really had no alternative to turn to.
Timex introduced watches using a combination of automation, precision tooling, and simpler design
then their Swiss rivals. The Timex movements also incorporated new hard alloy bearings rather
than expensive jewels used by the Swiss. All this lead to efficient and effective automation of
Timex production lines, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Swatch slashed the number of individual parts that a watch required from 91 to 51 and began
housing them in an easily mass produced plastic case. With this formula, the Swiss made a
breakthrough into the global watch industry by producing high quality, inexpensive watch in
Switzerland.
Marketing was also a key area which had to be looked at for Swatch to fully resuscitate the overall
Swiss watch industry. To do this for them, Swatch decided that to do it right, marketing should be
outsourced to specialists. Franz Sprecher, an independent consultant, helped to transition the image
of the Swiss watch from a very expensive, traditional timekeeping instrument to an inexpensive
lifestyle symbol and fashion accessory. Swatch followed this lead and also did a good job in
producing very trendy watches with very colorful designs. There was a Swatch created for every
occasion. This new approach in marketing and manufacturing sealed the deal for Swatch and was
an instant hit propelling the Swiss watch industry to the forefront of the watch manufacturing
industry.
With the success of Swatch and their new alternative approach to marketing and design, media
quickly became very interested. Swatch realized that this was a perfect way to embrace free public
publicity. Swatch embraced the media. This hand in hand cooperation with the media resulted in lots

Picky Eater By Julia Alvarez
At some point of a kid s life, they want to be picky about something. They want to have some
control of their little world where adults are constantly telling them what to wear, what to do,
and what to eat. Food, for instance, is an easy topic where kids will fight for some independence.
Throwing, yelling, crying and even bribing were the essence of a battle at dinner tables. Because
some parents would automatically give in to their children s need, the kids often think they won
the battle but technically they didn t. In the story, Picky Eater , Julia Alvarez tells a story of her
childhood experience of home meals where her and her sisters were also picky eaters, despite
having healthy foodserved to them. Meals, she said, at home were battlegrounds. Even if you won
the dinner battle, refusing to clean your plate or drink your engrudo, you inevitably lost the war
(Alvarez 145). Battlegrounds at home can occur but it doesn t have to end up being messy if the
parents know how to handle the situation properly. In Picky Eater Alvarez mentioned that her
parents particularly her motherwas very strict on the type of food the children ate. Getting food
from en la calle was strictly forbidden (Alvarez 144) because they might get sick catching some
kind of disease from people who have prepared their food. Also, because Alvarez and her sisters
were very thin, having leftovers on their plate wasn t allowed. To ensure her kids got all the nutrition
they needed, the mother had

The Dopamine System Plays A Critical Role Of...
The mesolimbic dopamine system plays a critical role in psychostimulant induced locomotor
activity (Hall, Powers Gulley, 2009). Dopamine (DA) is a monoamine that has been long associated
with the brain s reward systems, and more recently, its effects on animal behaviour have been
investigated (Barron, Sovik Cornish, 2010). While becoming the most broadly used illicit drug
world wide, Methamphetamine (MA) is an addictive psychostimulant which causes the brain to
release excessive amounts of the chemical neurotransmitterDA, controlling pleasure (Carati Schenk,
2011). It has been used to suppress food intake and most commonly, increase mental alertness and
physical endurance (Seiden, 2004). When linking MA to the brain, its primary action is to elevate
the levels of extracellular monoamine neurotransmitters, including dopamine, by promoting their
release from the nerve endings (Xie Miller, 2009). Evidence has shown that these drug induced
neuropathological changes might underlie deficits in cognitive behaviours in chronic MA abusers.
MA preferentially increases synaptic dopamine concentrations in the mesolimbic dopaminergic
system and initiates stimulating behavior (Di Chiara Imperato, 1988). These ideas are further
strengthened by data from animal studies showing that MA neurotoxicity is associated with
impairments in motor learning (Daberkow, Kesner Keefe, 2005) in rodents.
Considerable evidence suggests that the locomotor activating effects of MA are mediated

Civil Society And Globalization Essay
A globalized society creates an increasingly complicated set of forces and factors that bring
people, cultures, markets, and beliefs together. The improvement of technology, transportation,
and communication means that in the last century businesses, governments, and people are
being drawn into greater proximity with one another. As a result, the notion of civil society is
slowly being challenged because state borders are no longer containers of society , meaning that
the state is no longer a fixed unit of sovereign space (Agnew, 59). One of the key phenomenon of
globalization is the emergence of a global civil society. Global civil society refers to the vast
assembly of groups operating across borders and beyond the reach of... Show more content on

Therefore, global civil society and globality/globalization are two ideas that are inherently linked
and interdependent on the definitions of one another. Globalization is a key concept that engenders
a set of terms that embody it. Terms like interconnection, interdependence, liberalization, etc make
us think of a global situation that is marked by intense interaction and interdependence between
country units (Scholte, 237). Therefore, global civil society is what defines relations and social
connections in a globalized world where territorial location, territorial distance, and territorial
borders do not have a determining influence because the idea of place as territorially fixed is
diminishing (Scholte, 237). An important concept of civil society is its influence on civic activity
on a domestic scale and the influence that activity has on the organization of national politics. A
large reason why the development of global civil society occurred was in response to the changing
political environment as a result of globalization. According to Scholte, new geography has ended
the state s effective monopoly on governance that developed under conditions of territorialism
(241). In other words, in the new post sovereign world policies and administration does not
adequately reflect citizenship and democracy because these ideals no longer center around the state.
That is why global civil society is the attempt of citizens to

2016 17
INTRODUCTION:
John Rawls developed a conception of justice as fairness in his classic work A Theory of Justice.
Using elements of both Kantian and utilitarian philosophy, he has described a method for the moral
evaluation of social and political institutions.
He proposes to revise few concepts of social contract developed by writers like John Locke, Jean
Jacques Rousseau and Immanuel Kant and thus developing theory of justice. John Locke believes
free consent of those being governed and the contract between governor and them to be the source
of political authority. He wants to take this concept to higher level ... Show more content on

It is designed to be a fair and impartial position where fundamental principles of justice are decided
in unbiased manner. In taking up this point of view, we have to imagine ourselves as free and equal
people who committed themselves to the principles of social justice. The main distinguishing
feature of the original position is the veil of ignorance. In order to obtain an unbiased judgment,
the parties are deprived of all knowledge of their personal characteristics and social and historical
circumstances. They are unaware of their personal interests and inclinations, along with general
facts about psychology, economics, biology, and of various social sciences. The parties in the
original position are presented with a list of the main conceptions of justice influenced by the
tradition of social and political philosophy, and are asked to choose the best alternative among those
interests in establishing conditions that facilitate them to effectively pursue their final ends and

The Four Gospels Of Matthew, Mark, And Luke
The canon brought the four gospels about, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (Evangelists) . These
four gospels paint a different picture of Christ and were written for different audiences. Matthew,
Mark and Luke are said to be very similar to each other. But, there is things which are common to
Matthew and Luke that aren t seen in Mark. Matthew and Luke used another source which Mark
didn t know about, the Q source. John s gospelis quite different to the other three. He is shown as
someone who is very close to Jesusand a very reliable eyewitness (John 19:35).
Matthew s gospel was written in 85 AD for the Jewish Christians who were living in Antioch,
Syria. The audience of Matthew s gospel had tension between the Gentiles, Jews and Jewish
Christians. The main theme relates to how Jesus is portrayed as a teacher due to the gospel
having five sermons (5 7). His gospel contains lots of parables and miracles which would aid him
in his teachings. The good news for the original audience in 1st century Palestine (the gospel) meant
that their Messiah that they believed in had come and they were all thrilled about it. ... Show more

Short Story Of Schuyler Lassiter
Ben could see the fear in her eyes, even through the welling tears, and wished he had a moment
to stop and console Sky, and assure her that all would be okay, although that would have been a
lie. Nothing would ever be the same for Schuyler Lassiter again. His seeming lack of compassion
was deliberate, as their first priority was to get away from these men alive, and the best way to
keep someone from going into shock was to not give them time to allow the adrenaline to cease
flowing. If she froze, with the two Suv s parked bumper to bumper, doors open, and men in black
suits and sunglasses kneeling on the ground, and firing their automatic weapons at the couple, they

simultaneously noted a man inching his way toward the back of their vehicle. Behind us. The
agent fumbled to reload his weapon, racing against time before the Russian reached them, and
had a clear shot, when the woman surprised him again. Sky must have noticed their adversary as
well, and, instead of throwing the car in first, she hit reverse, and seconds later, with a thud, the
man was struck by two tons of metal. One down. Ben shot her a glance, but didn t have time to
congratulate Sky on her quick thinking as she circled the parking lot; looking for an avenue of
escape, or attempting to provide him an angle for a headshot?; and, with weapon now reloaded,
he powered down the window and returned fire. Shit . The agent ducked and yelped with each
bullet that pinged off metal and spider webbed the windshield, spraying the interior with shards of
glass. As Sky finally headed for the main road, Ben changed tactics, and fired into the front tyres of

Ryan Braun and His Loss of Credibility
Credibility is when how much you can or can t trust someone. If all someone does is goof
around and not follow directions then they have a low credibility. If you can trust someone and
they don t goof around then they have a high credibility. Ryan Braun had a high credibility when
he was in high school, college, and even his early years in the Major Leagues. That was changed
forever when he decided to use PEDs. Ryan Braun shows why credibility is an important quality to
have and how cheating damages your credibility. Ryan Braun was credible as a kid because he
worked hard and was a good athlete. His whole high school career he had an over 390 batting
average his whole high school career (Player Bio: Ryan Braun). He had 25 home runs in his high
school career (Player Bio: Ryan Braun). He started off strong in his high school career when he
went 3 3 in the first game (Player Bio: Ryan Braun). Ryan was credible because he worked hard
and his stats proved that he knew what he was doing. Also they proved that what he was doing
worked. In Ryan s first major league season he played with the Milwaukee Brewersand had a 324
batting average (Ryan Braun Statistics and History). He got off to a great start and continued to
get better in the years to come. Everyone thought that he was just a good all around player. Ryan
had a lot of credibility and a lot of fans that loved him. During the early parts of Ryan Braun s
career he had lots of credibility from his fans, teammates, and

Catholic Charities USA.
Catholic Charities provides service to people in need, pushes for justice in social structures, and
calls upon the entire church and other people of good will to do the same. Catholic Charities
agencies across the country witness to the love of Christ by helping people in need and by serving
their communities. Catholic Charities USA is a national organization that offers support to

legislative reform. It s listed as #15 on the top 50 largest charities on the U.S. according to Forbes.
Among the many tasks this charity is proud to address, they have been consistent about their policy
on welcoming newcomers as they say, referring to people coming from abroad to the United States,

How is the establishment of innovation procedure done?
All through the vast majority of present day business history, organizations have endeavored to
open an incentive by coordinating their structures to their systems. As large scale manufacturing
grabbed hold in the nineteenth century, for example, organizations produced colossal economies
of scale by bringing together key capacities like operations, deals, and back. A couple of decades
later, as firms broadened offerings and moved into new districts, an opponent model rose.
Enterprises, for example, General Motors and DuPont made specialty units organized around items
and geographic markets. The littler specialty units relinquished a few economies of scale however

Yet, depending on the financial plan as the essential administration framework caused here and now

any case, while TQM empowered firms to concentrate all the more adequately on process
enhancements, the capacity to execute procedure crosswise over authoritative units stayed slippery.
Organizations administration frameworks were as yet strategic and operational, not vital.
The corporate scorecard and guide recognize and measure the wellsprings of corporate esteem
creation at each of four levels, or points of view money related, client, process, and learning and
development.
The budgetary viewpoint.
Indeed, even broadened holding organizations can make endeavor level an incentive by initiating
viable procedures for asset portion, for corporate administration, for getting and coordinating new
specialty units, and for leading arrangements with outside substances, for example, governments,
unions, capital suppliers, and providers. It is correctly by doing these things well that organizations
make money related collaborations. Ventures with property as assorted as those that make up
Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and General Electric include an incentive through adroit acquisitions
bolstered by strong administration forms.

Spongy Bone Essay
Bone is made up of two types of structure which are the compact bone and the spongy bone.
Compact bone lies over spongy bone and makes up most of a bone s diaphysis, it consist of
compactly arranged osteons which is the Harvesian system. Compact bone able to protect, supports
and resist stress. Spongy bonemakes up most of the mass short, flat and irregular bones and is also
found at the epiphyses of long bones. It stores marrow and provides some support. The size of the
bone grow throughout childhood and adolescence as our body produces more bone than it loses.
At some point in life, human will be at their peak bone mass density (BMD) which is the end of
the bone growth. For normal human being, the BMD usually stays constant as the break down and
regeneration of bone is equal. However, for certain people, the bone loses is more than the

Cancellous bone is more active and is broken down and regenerated more quickly than compact
bone. Because of this, cancellous bone is more likely to be affected when the break down and
regeneration of bone are out of balance in osteoporosis. The cells that are responsible for the
BMD to stay constant is osteoblasts and osteoclasts. The function of osteoblasts is that it
produces new bone matrix in a process called ossification while osteoclasts are cells that remove
and recycle bone matrix. For a normal bone, there is a balance between the action of osteoblasts
and osteoclasts but in osteoporotic bone, the activity of the osteoclasts in removing bone matrix is
faster than the osteoblasts can form a new bone matrix. This results in a net bone lose.
Osteoporosis can also lead to thinning of both the compact bone and cancellous bone which makes
bone more fragile to

John Stuart Mill Essay
Majorities tend to prevent any opportunity that a minority group might have to gain support for a
contradicting opinion. It is incredibly easy for members of society to abandon their beliefs in the
midst of an overpowering majority. This process leads to an unequal society in which the rights of
the people are restricted. In the essays, On Libertyand On Representative Government, written by
John Stuart Mill, there is a concern for the tyranny of the majority. He expresses his concern in, On
Liberty, by supporting an increase in individual liberties. It is expressed again in, On Representative
Government, by promoting a true democracy. Mill proposes remedies for combating this tyranny of
the majority, and further discusses the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To counter this notion of monarchy by majority, Mill offers remedy through individual liberties in,
On Liberty.
By increasing the individual liberties of men in a society, you increase their personal freedom of
forming individual opinions. The less restricted a person s thoughts, the more unique their
opinions become. `In proportion to the development of his individuality, each person becomes
more valuable to himself and is, therefore, capable of being more valuable to others (On Liberty
60). To constrain someone s thoughts would result in that person becoming more likely to join
the majority. Allowing someone to think for themselves will help acknowledge the voices of all
the classes of a society. Having said that Individuality is the same thing with development and that
it is only the cultivation of individuality which produces, or can produce, well developed human
beings... (On Liberty 61). Despite their fallibilities, an individual is more likely to know what
would make him happy than someone else would. Therefore, if people develop independence of
judgment and take responsibility for their own happiness, utility will be maximized. I regard utility
as the ultimate appeal on all ethical questions; but it must be utility in the largest sense, grounded
on the permanent interests of man as a progressive being (On Liberty 10). Human progress, best

Fallacy Paper
Fallacies are committed in every state, in every city and in every neighborhood. No race or gender
is impervious to committing a fallacy. So, what is a fallacy? Patrick J. Hurley defines a fallacy as,
A defect in an argument that consists in something other than false premises alone. These defects
result in misconception in an argument. Many times they are accidental, other times they are
committed on purpose. However, either way, fallacies can be very persuasive to the casual reader
or listener. One in particular, the false cause fallacy, is used quite often in today s society. Hurley
states that, The fallacy of false cause occurs whenever the link between premises and conclusion

A remedy society knows as trial and error. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
use fallacies in almost all of their advertisements. In fact, Veggie Love, a super bowl video ad by
PETA, claims that vegetarians have better sex. In the video, gorgeous women dressed in lingerie
are groping broccoli, asparagus and even a licking a pumpkin. This video commits the false cause
fallacy because it expresses that people are having great sex because they are vegetarians. In
addition, if a person wants to have great sex, they need to become a vegetarian. It is also possible
that an argument commit more than one fallacy at a time. This video also commits the hasty
generalization fallacy, because it states that if you eat vegetables you will have great sex with
gorgeous women, therefore the obvious conclusion is that all vegetarians have great sex! To tell
these two different types of fallacies apart a reader or listener must know what defines these two
types of fallacies. Because Veggie Love focuses on vegetarians and great sex, and PETA claims
that there is a causal connection between the two, it can be defined as a false cause fallacy.
Because the video also claims that people who eat vegetables have great sex, we can assume that
all vegetarians have great sex which can be defined as

hold. Since the inauguration of General George Washington, the President of the United States has
expanded the power and overall influence of the office. In becoming increasingly prominent
especially in recent decades, presidents use a variety of tools such as media and public opinion,
domestic, or national security policies to expand that power.

necessary to increase presidential power (373). 1 Out of which came a centralization of

Chapter 12 Assignment Template
FORM 12.1.1
Name : Bhavana Pilla
1. How do you evaluate this approach to workforce reduction? What (if anything) did Abbott do
right and what did he do wrong? What additional information do you need about the downsizing
effort in order to fully understand the process?
I think that Abbott did right by finding alternatives to workforce layoffs. It was good thought by
giving early retirement to employees over the age 55. Others like cross training and sharing
reduced the work on one person and improved efficiency. What he did not focus was did not
strategically look for other alternatives besides getting rid of older employees by offering them
retirement. He should of retained older people whose experience ... Show more content on

Else could have reduced the salary for all the employees for few months and this could have
motivated the employees to work more to increase productivity and to save their jobs. So proper
procedures to downsize with fairness all around or other plans could have been ideal instead of
discriminating and ending up in a legal suit spending more money than saving any.
5. Is disparate impact theory applicable to downsizing decisions? If so, create some data that would
illustrate the use of this theory of discrimination.
In disparate impact theory, the plaintiff has to show that there was discrimination done by his
employer. He has to show that discrimination was involved in his dismissal and not on the basis
of his performance at work. The employer would be charged by the disparate impact theory if age,
sex or racial discrimination is proven.
6. If prima facie evidence of age discrimination is found, what burden (if any) would Brooks
Pharmaceuticals have?
Brooks Pharmaceuticals have to prove that discrimination against these employees was not
because of their age. The dismissal of theses employees was solely based on their performance.
Failure by the company to prove the fact, there would be legal problems for the organization.

The Future Of Erp Business Applications
The Future of ERP Business Applications: User Experience Is The New Imperative
While many of these systems have been designed to be used by internal employees to increase
efficiencies and contribute to the bottom line through expense controls, controls. The reality is
most of these solutions were not designed to help businesses build externally focused, profitable,
revenue generating relationships with customers and business partners. Today s executives must
identify systems and solutions to exploit new external channels, medias, and avenues to gain and
retain new customers. Outside of cloud and mobile, below are several predictions and trends I see
coming to the ERP business applications marketplace:

The Impact Of National Relations Labor Act ( Nlra ) And...
Labor Legislation in the 20th Century
Much of what we know about the improvements in the workforce came from 20th century
advancements with the workforce that we know today. Important developments came in the form
of methodology and data collection efforts. The 20th century was a remarkable period for the
American workers. Despite the initial stages of labor management, working conditions, wages and
benefits improved over the last century with the workforce increasing six fold over the period
(Gould, 1986). This research will focus on impacts of National Relations Labor Act (NLRA) and the
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) enacted in the 20th century, including major circumstances that
led to the intent of the legislation. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The law was enacted on July 5, 1935 (Gould, 1986).
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Considered to be a landmark, in 1938 President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Fair Labor
Standards Act. The nation was experiencing social and economic development of judicial
opposition and depression. This law set national minimum wages and maximum hours workers can
be required to work. Incorporated into this law are overtime pay and established standards to
prevent child labor abuse. Consequently, in 1963 an amendment was made to this law, which
prohibited wage discrimination against women.
Implications Surrounding the Law
NLRA was considered to be the law that affected the relationship among the federal government
and private enterprise; this measure considerably increased the government s powers to arbitrate
in labor relations. Prior to this law, employers had the emancipation to chastise, spy on, question
for no reason and fire union members. Work stoppages commenced in the mid 1930 s (Gould,
1986), which included striking by factory and industrial occupational workers. By the time the
strikes came to a halt, America had a more conservative Congress. This Congress led to balance
the power between employers and unions. While the Wagner Act addressed only unfair labor
practices by employers, it was added to the enactment of

Manifest Destiny Summary
The Manifest Destiny is an important part of history in the United States. In order for one to
understand the Manifest Destiny, the requirement of knowledge of the etymology of the word and
the word s significance to Americans. The Manifest Destiny happened in the nineteenth century,
where during this time Americans were determined to move westward. The Americans desired to
witness the expansion of the United States, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. When the
Americans detected open land in the west, deep within the Americans felt the land signified
opportunity and wealth. In the past and to this very day, Americans were arrogant in the means of
their culture and solely believed that the United States was destined to be a great nation. With the
migration westward, they, in hopes to,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Europeans said they founded the land first and had the right to claim it. The distinction of
views in the means of the open land was the usage. The Europeans viewed the land as wilderness
ready to be tamed, while Americans viewed the land as opportunities. The very problem with the
Europeans plans of claiming the land was that the land had already been claimed itself. Upon the
very land, lived American Indians who had built their own civilization including farming, hunting,
and raising their very own families. The Indians were not too elated with the Europeans so called
discovery . The Indians viewed and claimed the land as theirs. This interaction caused the
Americans idea of the land to change.
The continent of North America was destined by divine providence, to be peopled by one nation,
speaking one language, professing one general system of religion, and political principles, and
accustomed to one general tenor of social wages, and customs for the common happiness of them
all for their peace and prosperity, I believe it is indispensable that they should be associated in one
federal union. John Quincy

The Three-Fifths Compromise
Compromises were the foundation for the majority of early American history. Without
compromise, the stability of the United States would have been undermined only a few years after
it won its independence. The Three Fifths Compromise in particular carried the nation on its back
for years until the Civil War. If the Three Fifths Compromise had not been implemented, the young
nation easily could have fallen apart at the seams, leaving Northern and Southern states to duke it
out over the issues of slavery nearly a hundred years before the Civil War. The Three Fifths
Compromise makes a statement that seems simple enough. Three in every five slaves will be
counted in the population of any state when counting for votes in Congress. This simple
compromise was more important than it seemed at first glance, though. The issues motivating it
could have left the country in shambles if not corralled, and the Three Fifths Compromise did just
that. A few papers lifted this nation back of from the brink of self destruction, even if it was an
impermanent solution.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Until this compromise, the issues of slavery had not been extensively debated. Newspapers would
comment, people would argue, and a few fights would go to a higher government level, but for the
most part the North let the South govern itself and its slaves. When the issues finally began
affecting them, the Northerners could not ignore slavery anymore. Until that point, it had seemed
to be a non issue. Some disagreed with it, but it supported the Southern economy and failed to do
any harm to Northern white men. When the argument of votes in Congress came along, spurred by
the Great Compromise and its two house system, it quickly became a heated debate. The power to
have that many extra votes for Congress seemed outrageous to the North, who argued that if slaves
could not vote, it made no sense for them to be

The Probation Officer And Offender Role
The Probation Officer and Offender role has been widely examined, specifically in regards to the
effective management of risk (McNeill, 2009, NOMS 2010). Within this, it is recognised that the
relationship between these individuals is paramount to the effective management of risk and
offending behaviour. There have been numerous working practices introduced throughout the years
within the ProbationService to identify effective working practices including the Effective Practice

Unit 1 Research Paper 1: Paradigm Shift
Introduction
In the past, virtual reality technology was thought of by many as a gimmick, and the hope for it to
become a mainstream technology was discarded as products did not work as how the public
envisioned. However, the proper technology is now available to make virtual reality just that: a
reality. The entertainment industry is on the verge of a monumental paradigm shift that will
completely transform the way these entertainment mediums are experienced. The typical
experience of video games is one with a controller with joysticks that are used to control where the
playable character is looking along with a monitor or television screen in front of the player. Today,
this scenario is so ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An incredible use outside of video games is military simulation training using these same
technologies. Virtual Battlespace is a simulation program developed by Bohemia Interactive
Simulations and is used by the US Army and U.S. Marine Corps as well as other armed forces
across the globe, such as the UK Army, the French Air Force, and the Royal Navy.
Conclusions
Although this specific program will likely not become available to average consumers, the same
foundations for the simulation will be available on the marketplace while being affordable at the
same time. In time, applied use of virtual reality such as the Oculus Rift will become mainstream
and accepted in everyday life not only due its entertainment value, but also due to its affordability
for consumers everywhere. Thoughts of virtual reality often resemble fantastical scenarios
reminiscent of scenes in movies with similar themes like Gamer, The Matrix, Total Recall, and
Inception. After one delves into the VR technology in products such as the Oculus Rift, one will
begin to believe, and he or she will brace themselves for the tidal wave that is the paradigm shift of
virtual reality.

Erin Andrews Reebok
According to MarketWatch.com (2011), ...studies show that people are more likely to purchase an
item if it has come into contact with an attractive person. This finding coupled with the already
controversial topic of whether a journalist should endorse a commercial product for a stipend, raises
some interesting concerns. Furthermore, does accepting these endorsements pose a threat to
journalismand its ethicsand constitute a conflict of interest [as to whether any journalist should
endorse a commercial product]? Case in point, Reebok s hiring of Erin Andrews, ESPN reporterand
voted Playboy magazine s sexiest reporter, to endorse a new line of shoes Zoom Alpha Talon

According to the Society of Professional Journalists Ethics Code (2016), Andrews has the duty to

Consequently, the public is entitled to as much information as possible to judge the reliability and

Europe s Dependence On Russia
Europe faces a number of challenges when addressing its future energy needs. Increasing global
demand and competition for energy resources, instability in energy producing regions such as the
Middle East, and a population increasingly concerned with climate change are all challenges facing
Europe. As a result, energy security has become a critical issue for the European Union(EU).
To address some of these issues, Europe has turned to natural gas. Collectively, Europe is a major
importer of natural gas, and Russia is one of Europe s most important natural gas suppliers. Natural
gas consumption in Europe is going to continue to grow, especially as climate change issues
become more prominent. Yet, domestic natural gas production is likely... Show more content on

to export LNG the European Union, specifically Germany, as a way to replace Russian natural
gas in a time of crisis? If so, would either party need to build out infrastructure to accommodate
U.S. LNG exports? What effect would U.S. LNG exports have on global natural gas supplies and
prices?
The remainder of this paper will be structured as follows. The first section will outline Europe s,
and more specifically Germany s, natural gas needs and how much U.S. LNG would need to be
exported to replace German imports of Russian natural gas. Following that, a review of the
current European capacity and infrastructure will show that the E.U. could receive U.S. LNG in
a crisis. After that, I will examine the U.S. LNG infrastructure and export policy. I will argue
that the problem with U.S. LNG exports to Europe is not due to a lack of capacity or
infrastructure, but rather dated export policy. To be effective in providing energy security to the
E.U. in a crisis, the U.S. will need to make policy changes. Finally, given that the U.S. will soon
begin exporting LNG, the last section will analyze what effect U.S. exports will have on the global
natural gas supply and the effect of non crisis European demand for Russian natural gas.
European Natural Gas Needs

by country. In 2013, roughly 33 percent of Italy s energy needs are met with imported natural gas,

What Is The Tone Of Sylvia Plath s Daddy
Being born of a German immigrant, Sylvia Plath shares an eye opening poem right before she
ended her life in 1963. On October 12th, 1962, Plath wrote a poem called Daddy. In this poem, she
portrays a speaker that expresses numerous feelings of hate and fear. Though most might think this
word actually means father, in German daddymeans oh you . Nevertheless, this poem relates to a
person or father. After reading further, one might notice that she references Natzi s and Jew s,
and uses many comparisons to explain her feelings and the type of person this individual was.
The speaker in this story presents that she is captured in a life that she never thought she would
live through. Not only does she feel she is less important in the eyes of another person, it leaves an
everlasting effect on her life. The most unequivocal message is hatred in SylviaPlath s poem Daddy
to emphasize the hardships and challenges she goes through.

a change in heart came when she says, I m finally through (68). The speaker expresses that she

been kept by finalizing that there is a stake in your fat black heart (86) and they are dancing and

are others that would agree with her. The ending tone of that line lets out a sign of relief and
signifies that she is through with all of the hatred she had

that goes on in your body. The detox process neutralizes toxic wastes which accumulate in your
bodies, chemically transforming them into relatively harmless compounds and then eliminating
them from the body via stools or urine. Toxins enter your body when you breathe in air full of
pollutants, consume junk food, smoke cigarettes or use products that are harmful. The removal of
toxins from your body is a crucial process in order to maintain good health.2. What is a detox

Fasching And Dechant s Bhagavad Gita
In Fasching and Dechant s account of the Bhagavad Gita, readers are introduced to the story of the
Pandavas brothers as they are about to partake in a battle that could destroy the world. One brother,
Arjuna, does not see the value in fighting considering how catastrophic the outcome could
potentially be although he is the greatest warrior out of his brothers (Fasching and Dechant 138).
The god Krishnacomes to him and tells him he needs to fight regardless to how Arjunafeels

In looking at the story there is an emphasis on Arjuna struggling with the outcome of death and
destruction as a byproduct of war, and not on fighting the war itself or determining whether the
war is justifiable. The god Krishna tells Arjuna he must perform his duty. This emphasis on Arjuna
having a duty or job with a binding responsibility that must be executed provides a reason why
Arjuna is justified in fighting. Sen stresses that with this responsibility to fight, Arjuna did not
dismiss any consequences of war on own personal life or the lives of other. Sen presents three key
points that can be taken from looking at the Bhagavad Gita (Sen 208 211). First, he asserts what
occurs in the world has an inherent value or significance in our moral and political thinking.
Second, if someone is faced with making decisions that hold a significant weight or that could hold

Describe how the gospels gained authority as part of the official New Testament, i.e. what criteria
did the gospels have to meet to be included in the New Testament?
The gospels gained authority by completing a certain criteria to complete the bible s gospels. they
First had to been written by and apostle or new of an apostle pretty well.
Second they had to not deny the truth of any other messages or stories in the bible.
Thirdly They had to connect or be appropriate to christianity and lastly they had to show proof that
they had been used in a church before.
They used Jesus miracles to help all the people to understand his messages of compassion and
love for all and to follow in his footsteps. The miracle of the two blind man shows us that we

The Importance Of Innocence And Experience By William Blake
Innocence and Experience: How William Blake Challenged Society
(More background on Blake here and how he came up with innocence/experience) (https:/
/www.mtholyoke.edu/courses/rschwart/hist255/jkr/romanticism.html) Romanticism was a literary
movement that swept through virtually every country of Europe, the United States, and Latin
America that lasted from about 1750 to 1870. This period included philosophy, art, music, literature.
(https://www.bl.uk/romantics and victorians/articles/the romantics) Romantics believed that men
and women should not be guided by rules placed on them by society but led by warm emotions
that promoted a sense of freedom. William Blake was one of the poets that began the Romantic Age
who promoted self expression but was weighed down by the importance and standards of religion.
Literary work during Romanticism had a strong emphasis in implementing nature, emotion over
logic, imagination over reason, and no division between art and literature. These works placed
focus on human personality affected by political and social causes. These became dominant themes
in romantic poetry which made literature much more complex. In the late eighteenth and
nineteenth century, child labor in England was prominent after the Great Fire of London in 1666.
After this massive fire in London, chimneys had to be built slimmer due to new regulations to
keep the city safer. Chimney sweeping was done by poor boys at ages as young as four after they
were sold.

Laughlin s Sterilization Law Analysis
An example of how the pseudoscience being performed affected eugenic programs is through
immigration reform. After 1890, the United States experienced an influx of immigrants from
central and southern Europe, the Balkans, Russia, and Poland (Allen, The Ideology... 25). Allen
notes that the older Anglo Saxon and Nordic immigrants perceived these new immigrants as
inferior. Henry Laughlin, Superintendent of the EugenicsRecord Office and a key figure in the
American eugenics movement, conducted research on the rate of appearance of undesirable traits

Progressivism responded to the changes of the time period by enacting a series of social
changes such as prohibition and women s suffrage. Martin Pernick, a history professor at the
University of Michigan, key characteristic of the progressive movement was its belief that
science would be able to address social problems (26). Pernick also relates progressivism with the
development of modern propaganda in that propaganda presented information that would influence
public opinion on an issue. Propaganda played a large part in popularizing eugenics among the
public. Among other measures, exhibits were set up to present eugenic ideas to school groups and
the general public, popular eugenics organizations were established to expose citizens to eugenic
ideas, and articles were published for the average reader to present eugenics as logical and
scientifically based (Allen, The Misuse... 115). This attitude produced an environment in which the
public was more receptive to a movement like eugenics that masqueraded as a scientific solution for

There is one thing all hidden children of the holocaust have in common, silence. Lola Rein
Kaufman is one of those hidden children. And she is done being silent. Lola Rein was a hidden
child during the holocaust. She was one of the lucky ones; one of the 10,000 500,000 that
survived. Her family wasn t as lucky. Lola endured, los, abandonment, and constant fear, but has
now chosen to shed her cloak of silence.
There were two types of hidden children: the children that didn t look like the stereotypical Jew,

Advertising Vs Populism
Commercials airing on the television or radio, the billboards on the side of the freeways trying to
grab your attention to buy their product, even while scrolling through various social media
platforms, we go through our day to day lives with advertisements all around us. In Jack Solomon s
essay, Masters of Desire: The Culture of American Advertising, he states that the main purpose of
all these advertisements is to show us our unhappiness within the American dream. He goes on to
describe the differences in these advertisements which are known as the populist ads and the elite
ads. Solomon s description of the contradiction between populismand elitism very much affects the
way advertising and media is portrayed in American society. This contradiction brings forth the
purpose of these different advertisements, the audience in which it is intended for. For example, the
elite advertisements are presented to American society on beautiful glossy stock paper within
magazines, or in luxury car commercials where the extraordinary cars can be seen zooming along
the coast or back roads enjoying the drive up to the cabin. With all these flashy advertisements one
can only assume that an ...extraordinary car deserves an extraordinary advertisement, and that both
[the] car and [the] ad are aimed [towards an] extraordinary consumer... (Solomon 168). These elite
advertisements start to scrutinize the audience s financial status. They do this to start determining
if the advertised

Literature Review Although the researchers reviewed the various literature to develop practice
guidelines, draw conclusions, create the research question, develop a study design, and find ways to
control bias. In fact, it presented key terms, such as hermeneutics, phenomenology, and interview
methods (Dainty et al., 2014). Descriptive style helps to bracket any preconceptions, since
hermeneutic methods acknowledge that an experience could influence its interpretation. The
hermeneutic phenomenological design linked to the study question, which based on the experience
of multiple realities (Dainty et al., 2014). Overall, the literature reviews adequately linked the
interview question and design through interpretative phenomenology theory. Research Design The
naturalistic design focuses on the reality that is not fixed, it lies in human minds; thus, the least
distance between researchers and participants can maximize understanding. The researchers and
participants actively involved in the conversation (Loiselle et al., 2011). The study used a specific
hermeneutic phenomenological design to gain a deeper understanding of the nature of the research
question (Dainty et al., 2014). Hence, the hermeneutic phenomenology design is an appropriate
design for the study because of the nature of the questions. Description of the Target Population

Jason Before A Fall Essay
Jason of Golden Fleece fame was on the run for his life. Multiple other Argonauts, jealous of
Jason s glory and riches, had chased him away from his home and family, and he was trying to
get away from their fury, hatred, and most of all their murderous jealousy. All he had was a
small dagger and a broken spear shaft to stay alive in an unforgiving land filled with angry
Argonaut conspirators. Jason had previously disappeared in the night when his friend and
fellow Argonaut, Orpheus, had warned him of his dire plight. Now, Jason was alone on the
rocks by the seashore, waiting for the dark to grow so he could travel once more. When night
finally fell, Jason crawled slowly over the rough rock surface to a grove of olive trees. He took a
moment to pray to the goddess Athena for wisdom and protection, then began a westward journey
leading him further from his home, flocks, and lands. Jason had nothing to do but run. His
pursuers always struck late at night, when Jason tried to get a few hours of rest. They would

Week One Week one, I learned about phytochemicals. They are a non nutrient substance, which
means they have no nutrients in them. They are not processed or anything because they are
naturally occurring in plants. They cannot be found anywhere else. Phytochemicals are not
needed for short term survival, which means you don t necessary need them. They are good
though because they promote long term health. I applied this to my life by making sure I start
having phytochemicals in my diet, so I can help out my long term health. Week Two Week two, I
learned about ingestion. I learned when to eat and when you need to stop eating. When you have
an appetite that means the psychological desire to eat food. When you are hungry that is the
physical sensation of needing to eat food, which is localized in the stomach. Then satiety is the
state of having had enough to eat. There is immediate and delayed satiety. There are of course
factors that control these, which are the size of your stomach and illness. Also, different mood
conditions and your genes play a role. I applied this to my life by knowing when I am at the

What Are The Similarities Between The Bank Of England Vs....
The Bank of England vs. the Altes Museum
European countries often used elements of the Greek architecture in their buildings. They became a
common part of official objects. The Bank of England (Great Britain) and the Altes Museum
(Germany) are good examples of this borrowing.
These buildings appeared in different countries and periods of time, but still have some similarities.
Both structures belong to the neoclassicism. The list of similarities includes pale frontispiece,
columns in front of the entrance, inner arches and an overall impression of a Greek building.
Rooms in both buildings have high ceilings, natural lighting and Greek style decorations. While
Bank and Museum have general similarities both are big old buildings with light colored outer
walls and elements of the Greek architecture in the exterior and interior, they have significant
differences.
THE BANK OF ENGLAND
The Bank of England was first built on the Threadneedle Street in 1734 by George Sampson. The
structure was rebuilt several times after that. This essay will focus on the period of time when the

  • 2. Supernova Persuasive Essay A possible external threat from space that could result in the extinction of human life on Earth is a supernova. A supernova is an explosion of a star in the universe. There are more than a hundred billion stars in our milky way galaxy (226). Most of the star explosions happen fairly far away from our solar system. However, because our sunorbits the galaxywe will be neighbouring different sets of stars at different points in time. Sometimes we are even just tens of light years away from a supernova(226). The closer you are to a supernova the most damage will be done. When supernovae happen there are large amounts of very high energy particles called cosmic rays that can cause lethal mutations which lead to mass extinctions (226). Apart from ... • 3. Swatch and the Global Watch Industry 1. How did Timex succeed the Swiss as world volume leader in the 1950s and 1960s? Timex toppled the world dominance of the Swiss by streamlining the watch making process therefore also making the process very scaleable. The Swiss had dominated in an era where very little competition existed. This paved the way for the Swiss and their high cost watch producers to remain dominant as consumers really had no alternative to turn to. Timex introduced watches using a combination of automation, precision tooling, and simpler design then their Swiss rivals. The Timex movements also incorporated new hard alloy bearings rather than expensive jewels used by the Swiss. All this lead to efficient and effective automation of Timex production lines, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Swatch slashed the number of individual parts that a watch required from 91 to 51 and began housing them in an easily mass produced plastic case. With this formula, the Swiss made a breakthrough into the global watch industry by producing high quality, inexpensive watch in Switzerland. Marketing was also a key area which had to be looked at for Swatch to fully resuscitate the overall Swiss watch industry. To do this for them, Swatch decided that to do it right, marketing should be outsourced to specialists. Franz Sprecher, an independent consultant, helped to transition the image of the Swiss watch from a very expensive, traditional timekeeping instrument to an inexpensive lifestyle symbol and fashion accessory. Swatch followed this lead and also did a good job in producing very trendy watches with very colorful designs. There was a Swatch created for every occasion. This new approach in marketing and manufacturing sealed the deal for Swatch and was an instant hit propelling the Swiss watch industry to the forefront of the watch manufacturing industry. With the success of Swatch and their new alternative approach to marketing and design, media quickly became very interested. Swatch realized that this was a perfect way to embrace free public publicity. Swatch embraced the media. This hand in hand cooperation with the media resulted in lots ... • 4. Picky Eater By Julia Alvarez At some point of a kid s life, they want to be picky about something. They want to have some control of their little world where adults are constantly telling them what to wear, what to do, and what to eat. Food, for instance, is an easy topic where kids will fight for some independence. Throwing, yelling, crying and even bribing were the essence of a battle at dinner tables. Because some parents would automatically give in to their children s need, the kids often think they won the battle but technically they didn t. In the story, Picky Eater , Julia Alvarez tells a story of her childhood experience of home meals where her and her sisters were also picky eaters, despite having healthy foodserved to them. Meals, she said, at home were battlegrounds. Even if you won the dinner battle, refusing to clean your plate or drink your engrudo, you inevitably lost the war (Alvarez 145). Battlegrounds at home can occur but it doesn t have to end up being messy if the parents know how to handle the situation properly. In Picky Eater Alvarez mentioned that her parents particularly her motherwas very strict on the type of food the children ate. Getting food from en la calle was strictly forbidden (Alvarez 144) because they might get sick catching some kind of disease from people who have prepared their food. Also, because Alvarez and her sisters were very thin, having leftovers on their plate wasn t allowed. To ensure her kids got all the nutrition they needed, the mother had ... • 5. The Dopamine System Plays A Critical Role Of... The mesolimbic dopamine system plays a critical role in psychostimulant induced locomotor activity (Hall, Powers Gulley, 2009). Dopamine (DA) is a monoamine that has been long associated with the brain s reward systems, and more recently, its effects on animal behaviour have been investigated (Barron, Sovik Cornish, 2010). While becoming the most broadly used illicit drug world wide, Methamphetamine (MA) is an addictive psychostimulant which causes the brain to release excessive amounts of the chemical neurotransmitterDA, controlling pleasure (Carati Schenk, 2011). It has been used to suppress food intake and most commonly, increase mental alertness and physical endurance (Seiden, 2004). When linking MA to the brain, its primary action is to elevate the levels of extracellular monoamine neurotransmitters, including dopamine, by promoting their release from the nerve endings (Xie Miller, 2009). Evidence has shown that these drug induced neuropathological changes might underlie deficits in cognitive behaviours in chronic MA abusers. MA preferentially increases synaptic dopamine concentrations in the mesolimbic dopaminergic system and initiates stimulating behavior (Di Chiara Imperato, 1988). These ideas are further strengthened by data from animal studies showing that MA neurotoxicity is associated with impairments in motor learning (Daberkow, Kesner Keefe, 2005) in rodents. Considerable evidence suggests that the locomotor activating effects of MA are mediated ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Civil Society And Globalization Essay A globalized society creates an increasingly complicated set of forces and factors that bring people, cultures, markets, and beliefs together. The improvement of technology, transportation, and communication means that in the last century businesses, governments, and people are being drawn into greater proximity with one another. As a result, the notion of civil society is slowly being challenged because state borders are no longer containers of society , meaning that the state is no longer a fixed unit of sovereign space (Agnew, 59). One of the key phenomenon of globalization is the emergence of a global civil society. Global civil society refers to the vast assembly of groups operating across borders and beyond the reach of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, global civil society and globality/globalization are two ideas that are inherently linked and interdependent on the definitions of one another. Globalization is a key concept that engenders a set of terms that embody it. Terms like interconnection, interdependence, liberalization, etc make us think of a global situation that is marked by intense interaction and interdependence between country units (Scholte, 237). Therefore, global civil society is what defines relations and social connections in a globalized world where territorial location, territorial distance, and territorial borders do not have a determining influence because the idea of place as territorially fixed is diminishing (Scholte, 237). An important concept of civil society is its influence on civic activity on a domestic scale and the influence that activity has on the organization of national politics. A large reason why the development of global civil society occurred was in response to the changing political environment as a result of globalization. According to Scholte, new geography has ended the state s effective monopoly on governance that developed under conditions of territorialism (241). In other words, in the new post sovereign world policies and administration does not adequately reflect citizenship and democracy because these ideals no longer center around the state. That is why global civil society is the attempt of citizens to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. John Rawls Veil Of Justice Summary THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED BY ANANYA MISHRA 214026 ON THE TOPIC (JURISPRUDENCE) IN THE MONSOON SEMESTER 2016 17 INTRODUCTION: John Rawls developed a conception of justice as fairness in his classic work A Theory of Justice. Using elements of both Kantian and utilitarian philosophy, he has described a method for the moral evaluation of social and political institutions. He proposes to revise few concepts of social contract developed by writers like John Locke, Jean Jacques Rousseau and Immanuel Kant and thus developing theory of justice. John Locke believes free consent of those being governed and the contract between governor and them to be the source of political authority. He wants to take this concept to higher level ... In taking up this point of view, we have to imagine ourselves as free and equal people who committed themselves to the principles of social justice. The main distinguishing feature of the original position is the veil of ignorance. In order to obtain an unbiased judgment, the parties are deprived of all knowledge of their personal characteristics and social and historical circumstances. They are unaware of their personal interests and inclinations, along with general facts about psychology, economics, biology, and of various social sciences. The parties in the original position are presented with a list of the main conceptions of justice influenced by the tradition of social and political philosophy, and are asked to choose the best alternative among those interests in establishing conditions that facilitate them to effectively pursue their final ends and fundamental ... • 8. The Four Gospels Of Matthew, Mark, And Luke The canon brought the four gospels about, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (Evangelists) . These four gospels paint a different picture of Christ and were written for different audiences. Matthew, Mark and Luke are said to be very similar to each other. But, there is things which are common to Matthew and Luke that aren t seen in Mark. Matthew and Luke used another source which Mark didn t know about, the Q source. John s gospelis quite different to the other three. He is shown as someone who is very close to Jesusand a very reliable eyewitness (John 19:35). Matthew s gospel was written in 85 AD for the Jewish Christians who were living in Antioch, Syria. The audience of Matthew s gospel had tension between the Gentiles, Jews and Jewish Christians. The main theme relates to how Jesus is portrayed as a teacher due to the gospel having five sermons (5 7). His gospel contains lots of parables and miracles which would aid him in his teachings. The good news for the original audience in 1st century Palestine (the gospel) meant that their Messiah that they believed in had come and they were all thrilled about it. ... • 9. Short Story Of Schuyler Lassiter Ben could see the fear in her eyes, even through the welling tears, and wished he had a moment to stop and console Sky, and assure her that all would be okay, although that would have been a lie. Nothing would ever be the same for Schuyler Lassiter again. His seeming lack of compassion was deliberate, as their first priority was to get away from these men alive, and the best way to keep someone from going into shock was to not give them time to allow the adrenaline to cease flowing. If she froze, with the two Suv s parked bumper to bumper, doors open, and men in black suits and sunglasses kneeling on the ground, and firing their automatic weapons at the couple, they d both be dead within seconds. Ben screamed again, but the noise was drowned by a hail of gunfire and ricocheting bullets, and then she was in the car. Drive. His weapon in hand, Ben swore as he emptied his clip, and simultaneously noted a man inching his way toward the back of their vehicle. Behind us. The agent fumbled to reload his weapon, racing against time before the Russian reached them, and had a clear shot, when the woman surprised him again. Sky must have noticed their adversary as well, and, instead of throwing the car in first, she hit reverse, and seconds later, with a thud, the man was struck by two tons of metal. One down. Ben shot her a glance, but didn t have time to congratulate Sky on her quick thinking as she circled the parking lot; looking for an avenue of escape, or attempting to provide him an angle for a headshot?; and, with weapon now reloaded, he powered down the window and returned fire. Shit . The agent ducked and yelped with each bullet that pinged off metal and spider webbed the windshield, spraying the interior with shards of glass. • 12. Ryan Braun and His Loss of Credibility Credibility is when how much you can or can t trust someone. If all someone does is goof around and not follow directions then they have a low credibility. If you can trust someone and they don t goof around then they have a high credibility. Ryan Braun had a high credibility when he was in high school, college, and even his early years in the Major Leagues. That was changed forever when he decided to use PEDs. Ryan Braun shows why credibility is an important quality to have and how cheating damages your credibility. Ryan Braun was credible as a kid because he worked hard and was a good athlete. His whole high school career he had an over 390 batting average his whole high school career (Player Bio: Ryan Braun). He had 25 home runs in his high school career (Player Bio: Ryan Braun). He started off strong in his high school career when he went 3 3 in the first game (Player Bio: Ryan Braun). • 32. Europe s Dependence On Russia Europe faces a number of challenges when addressing its future energy needs. Increasing global demand and competition for energy resources, instability in energy producing regions such as the Middle East, and a population increasingly concerned with climate change are all challenges facing Europe. As a result, energy security has become a critical issue for the European Union(EU). To address some of these issues, Europe has turned to natural gas. Collectively, Europe is a major importer of natural gas, and Russia is one of Europe s most important natural gas suppliers. Natural gas consumption in Europe is going to continue to grow, especially as climate change issues become more prominent. Yet, domestic natural gas production is likely... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... to export LNG the European Union, specifically Germany, as a way to replace Russian natural gas in a time of crisis? If so, would either party need to build out infrastructure to accommodate U.S. LNG exports? What effect would U.S. LNG exports have on global natural gas supplies and prices? The remainder of this paper will be structured as follows. The first section will outline Europe s, and more specifically Germany s, natural gas needs and how much U.S. LNG would need to be exported to replace German imports of Russian natural gas. Following that, a review of the current European capacity and infrastructure will show that the E.U. could receive U.S. LNG in a crisis. After that, I will examine the U.S. LNG infrastructure and export policy. I will argue that the problem with U.S. LNG exports to Europe is not due to a lack of capacity or infrastructure, but rather dated export policy. To be effective in providing energy security to the E.U. in a crisis, the U.S. will need to make policy changes. Finally, given that the U.S. will soon begin exporting LNG, the last section will analyze what effect U.S. exports will have on the global natural gas supply and the effect of non crisis European demand for Russian natural gas. European Natural Gas Needs First, how much natural gas does Europe import from Russia? European dependence on gas varies by country. In 2013, roughly 33 percent of Italy s energy needs are met with imported natural gas, and Germany was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After reading further, one might notice that she references Natzi s and Jew s, and uses many comparisons to explain her feelings and the type of person this individual was. The speaker in this story presents that she is captured in a life that she never thought she would live through. Not only does she feel she is less important in the eyes of another person, it leaves an everlasting effect on her life. Literary work during Romanticism had a strong emphasis in implementing nature, emotion over logic, imagination over reason, and no division between art and literature. They are not processed or anything because they are naturally occurring in plants. They cannot be found anywhere else. Phytochemicals are not needed for short term survival, which means you don t necessary need them. They are good though because they promote long term health. I applied this to my life by making sure I start having phytochemicals in my diet, so I can help out my long term health. Week Two Week two, I learned about ingestion. I learned when to eat and when you need to stop eating. When you have an appetite that means the psychological desire to eat food. When you are hungry that is the physical sensation of needing to eat food, which is localized in the stomach. Then satiety is the state of having had enough to eat. There is immediate and delayed satiety. There are of course factors that control these, which are the size of your stomach and illness. Also, different mood conditions and your genes play a role.
