The Importance Of Keeping The Penny
Pennies existence makes cents! Have you ever thought about getting rid of the penny? If we get rid
of the penny, the cash register, bank, computers would have to be restarted. It also means forgetting
Abraham Lincoln. The National Treasury Department, the president, and other people who think
the penny is useless but is not. So we should do everything to save the penny! According to Greg
Peck, in his article he stated that Barack Obama said, We have been trying to eliminate the penny,
shows that Obama is against keeping the penny. But it will always come back. I need to find out
who is lobbying to keep the penny. Although President Obama does not want to keep the penny
anymore, he should decide to let us vote. Let s say that the president

The Permeability Of Membrane Permeability
Ability of cell membrane transport of membrane permeabilityпјЊ diffusion пјЊosmosis and
membrane voltages
Introduction
Cell membranes are boundaries of the cell, it controls all the interaction between cells as well as
passage transport of the material we normally describe as membrane transport. Membrane transport
are very essential for all living things, however not all substance can transport in and out of
membranes and different ions can pass through membranes in different ways.
Membrane permeability is very important as to maintain the cell in a stable condition as we can
also describe as remain our cell a more homeostatic environment by control which substances could
can go through cells. Membranes are essential for control the concentration of particular ion, and
establish the concentration requires. We can observe those mechanisms of cell membranefrom a
considerable ATP synthesis and solute transport through the plasma membranes. Gradients which
cause those ions to move cross the membranes are potential of cell .when a separation of charge
occurred an electrical potential occurred results with voltages can be measured in the cell.
Osmosis is the one of important transport for living cells.it allows water from one side to another.
The direction of osmosis are usually from high concentration of water to lower concentration. This
is because when the membrane has a high level on one side of membranes it could results as a
pressure, which is known as osmotic pressure.

Before The Norman Conquest, The Administration Of Justice
Before the Norman conquest, the administration of Justice was integrally given to local courts
accordingly to local customs. There was no idea of centralisation. The situation changed when
William the Conqueror gained the throne in 1066, because he set up the Curia Regis based in
Westminster with judges approved by the King. In 1156, itinerant Royal justices was created, so
that judges appointed by the King can dispense justice in his name in the whole country. The King
didn t abolish the former system, but created another one. People could choose the system they
would be judged by. There was a preference for the royal court. These itinerant judges gradually
elaborated a common uniform jurisprudence in the whole England. Common... Show more content

Parliament is sovereign, therefore the law it makes prevail on any other source.
We will focus the working of statutory interpretation (A), then look if it s regulated by the law (B)
and scrutinized rules of interpretation (C).
A) The operation of statutory interpretation
Statutory interpretation deals with Statute law. Indeed an interpretation may be required when there
is an ambiguity or if there is an error made by Parliament. Rolle of judges is to ascertain the
intention of Parliament. The intention of Parliament is a delicate concept for representing the
majority option of Member of Parliament how is representative for the United Kingdom citizens.
For all Parliament is the legislator, Courts must apply legislation through the discretion of judges.
However lawyers and barristers may also interpret the statutes to convince the judges.
Courts have several roles. There is a dichotomy between statuary interpretation and statutory
construction. The first one is В« the provision of meaning to the words in a statute by a court В»
and the second one is В« the resolution of ambiguities or uncertainties in a statue В».
B) Is statutory interpretation binding of any kind of rule of law ?
Statutory interpretation is mandatory for judges, only the way of interpretation is not mandatory.
Parliament has given the courts some sources of guidance on statutory interpretation.
The interpretation Act 1978 provides certain standard definitions of

Animal Adoption Research Paper
Almost everyone wants to own their own pets, but not everyone goes the right way to own one.
Millions of pets around the world in shelters are being put down due to no one wanting to adopt
them. Over the years, adoption has been promoted as a better option instead of buying pets,
nevertheless, people still buys over adoption. The reason is probably because people do not the
benefits of adoption and the harm it causes to buying pets.
Sheltered animals are those who have been either abandoned or abused. In some shelters, pets have
a time limit on their life and they get euthanized when they do not get adopted in a specific time
frame. The reason for euthanizing the animals was because space issues. This issue could easily be
solved by adoption.

The Opening Of Japan And China Essay
Jonah Noel
December 3, 2016
The opening of Japan and China; A love story
Throughout history, dozens of countries have adopted isolationist policies on countless different
occasions. For example, in the United States in the 1930 s, many Americans felt that amidst the
Great Depression, the government should focus its efforts on solving problems at home before
intervening in international affairs. Furthermore, today, totalitarian dictators often isolate their
countries in order to consolidate their power, as is the case in North Korea and Eritrea. Yet while
isolationism itself was not unique to the 19th century, the manner in which both China and Japan
departed from isolationist policies under imperialist pressures was unique.
When Japan and China enacted isolationist policies in the 16th century, Japan and China were
among the most advanced countries in the world. Both nations felt that they did not need to nor
desired to interact with the rest of the world, or intervene in disputes between barbarians (Aizawa
348.) As a consequence, throughout the 17th and 18th centuries, neither country advanced much
technologically. On the other hand, over that same period the west experienced and reaped the
benefits of an industrial revolution that saw dramatic advances in mathematics, science, and
technology. The west subsequently experienced significant economic growth, and western powers
then began building empires in pursuit of further growth. As a result, when western powers

Strategies Hotels Use in Order to Achieve and Guarantee...
A well renowned man once said:
A customer is the most important visitor to our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are
dependent on him. He is not an interruption to our work; He is the purpose of it. He is not an
outsider to our business; He is part of it. We are not doing him a favour by serving him; He is doing
us a favour by giving us the opportunity to do so.
There is much truth to the above statement; therefore achieving customer satisfaction is an
important basis to any business organisation, especially hotels.

Before wishing the guest an enjoyable and relaxing stay, GSA or Serviexpress is introduced to the
guest as a method of assuring their satisfaction, while residing in the hotel. `Guest Satisfaction
Assurance is a very effective and full proof way of achieving customer satisfaction as when a
guest has a query, a complaint, or simply wishes to comment on a particular procedure, all a guest
needs to do is dial a number, from their room telephone. This number is usually a very simple and
easy number to remember, (for example 700) for the convenience of the guest. This facility is
available 24 hours a day and is guaranteed to be dealt with within half an hour. Besides being able
to telephone the GSA department, a guest may also contact a person acting on behalf of the
department in the lobby area of the hotel; as a GSA is desk would be present at certain times of
the day. In this way the person or persons involved in this particular department are also able to
meet a guest face to face, in order to deal with their clients in a more personal manner. Face to
face communication is a more effective way for guests to feel more understood and most of all
important. After a complaint is resolved a guest is also complemented with a letter expressing
apologies and gratitude for bringing the problem to the hotel s attention. If a guest happened to be
initially very upset, a fruit

piano ballads. Clifford Geertz discusses, a religion is a set of symbols which acts to establish long

The first example of religious symbolic language is presented in the bridge of the song, to
which Mercury sings Bismillah , which is the first word recited in the Quran. The use of
Bismillah allows the Muslim audience to understand the old Mercury , and that it will always
be a part of him. The other use of religious symbolic language is present in the lyric Beelzebub
has a devil put aside for me . The lyric suggests that Mercury is referring to himself as being
possessed by a demon and addressing the view of being considered sinful due to his sexual
orientation, implying that God always knew that he was a homosexual. He is arguing to the
audience that if he was created by God and born with the destiny of being homosexual, then his
sexual orientation is willed by God. Therefore, he states that if God is good and holy, then
whatever God has created should not be considered sinful. Thus, it is important to note that
religious symbolic language, as well as imagery has helped provide the audience a narrative to
understand Mercury s struggle in dealing with religion in relation to his sexual

Bruxism Research Paper
Gentle Dental Care in Plainville, CT What Is Bruxism? Bruxism is another name for grinding or
clenching of the teeth. It can wear down and damage teeth, break restorations, cause TMJ (jaw
joint) disorders, bring on mysterious headaches, and cause facial pain. Many people who have
trouble with bruxism do not even realize they are grinding their teeth. Some people grind their
teeth at night when they are asleep. Those who clench or grind their teeth during the day often do
so when they feel anxious. In fact, one of the common causes of bruxism is stress. Other factors,
such as misaligned teeth or an improper bite, can also create discomfort. Less common causes of
bruxism are neurological disorders, injuries, and side effects from certain medications.... Show more

Also, Dr. Thomas Peltzer can examine your teeth for signs of unusual wear, check the muscles
around your jaw, and ask specific questions about your behavior and medical history to
determine if bruxism is a problem for you. Some other signs to watch for include rhythmic
contractions of the jaw muscles, morning headaches or jaw pain, teeth that feel loose, and
unexplained facial soreness or pain. How Can I Prevent Bruxism? If your teeth grinding or
clenching is related to stress, you may want to seek counseling, exercise, or try relaxation
techniques. Cutting out tobacco and decreasing alcohol and caffeine intake can also decrease the
frequency of the problem. At Gentle Dental Care, we can help stop and prevent further damage
from bruxism by fitting you with a custom made occlusal guard, which is a mouthguard type of
dental appliance. It will keep your teeth from grinding against each other, even while you sleep. If
your teeth grinding is caused by bite problems, we can address those, too, by using crowns and
onlays to correct the biting surfaces of your teeth. Once treated properly, the outlook is very good

temporary agencies. I have a lot of experience with them, and I think temporary assignments are
a great way to test different types of companies and jobs. There are certain ground rules to follow
when working for temporary agencies. I will list them later. One of the first things you want to
do before calling a temp agency to set up an appointment is check out their Web site; most, if not
all, agencies have one. If you can register online and upload a copy of your resume, do it. This
will help a lot with larger agencies like Kelly, Robert Half and Adecco. Another advantage is that
you can apply for jobs that you think meet your skill set. Within one or two days, someone from
the agency will call you. You will still have to go in for an interview and skills testing, but
incorporating you into their employee network will be easier for the agency. Many times I have
read blogs where people lamented that agencies boasted dozens of jobs in ads, but when they went
in to apply, the jobs had all disappeared. This isn t true. The agency does have many jobs. The
problem is they may not have any that match your

Film Analysis Of Stanley Kubrick s Full Metal Jacket
United States Marines are some of the roughest and toughest men to ever walk this Earth, and
that is because Marines is not born but instead built, and the men who mold those boys into
Marines do a damn good job at doing so. Stanley Kubrick s portrayal of the United States military
and more specifically the Marine Corps, in his 1987 film Full Metal Jacket is arguably
unmatched by any other film to date. Full Metal Jacket s glorification of violence, justified
brutality, and superb realism are more accurate than most would like to believe during such a
controversial period of American history. From the opening scenes at Marine Corps Recruit Depot
(MCRD) Parris Island to the far off, dangerous lands of Vietnam, Full Metal Jacket embodies the...

Because of this, GySgt. Hartman announces to the rest of the platoon that he will now begin to
punish them instead of punishing Pyle as an incentive to correct his actions. Although, later that
night, all of the recruits awake in the middle of the night to tie down and beat Pvt. Pyle as a
result of his actions. As the film progresses, and the recruits endure more hardships throughout
their training, Pvt. Pyle s mental stability seems to regress. This is due to the great amount of
pressure from GySgt. Hartman and his fellow recruits. As a result of this, Joker finds Pyle in the
bathroom with a loaded M14 rifle after his sanity has been pushed over the edge. GySgt.
Hartman then comes running in after he hears a ruckus and orders Pyle to put down the rifle. In
turn, Pvt. Pyle shoots GySgt. Hartman and spares Pvt. Joker, but kills himself to conclude the
first half of the movie. The second half of Full Metal Jacket follows now Sergeant (Sgt.) Joker in

Piriformis Muscle Essay
Muscles play a crucial part in the normal functioning of the lower back and sciatic nerve. If any of
the muscles in this area become too tight or too weak, they have the potential to cause pain. This is
typically referred to as muscle imbalance. The hamstring muscles are a common culprit for this and
it is usually tightness which is the problem.
In a similar vein to which I have mentioned in an article on the piriformis muscle ( Low Back Pain
Sciatica The Role of the Piriformis Muscle ) tight hamstring muscles can also have an influence
over the lower back, sacro iliac joint and sciatic nerve.

Repeat: 2 3 times.
Repeat: 2 3 times per day.
As you begin to gently stretch the hamstring muscle it will become more supple. This will result in
tension being taken from the lower back, sacro iliac joint and hamstring muscles, which in turn
will encourage correct function of these areas, therefore healing will take place. As a result, your
pain will also begin to resolve.
Be careful when performing this stretch, as it is important you do not allow your back to flatten
too much into the floor/surface you are lying on. A simple way to prevent this is to keep your low
back in a neutral position and then gently tighten your abdominal muscles.
The abdominal muscles play an important role with regards to stability of the lower back and
associated structures, and therefore by gently working these while performing this exercise, you
will be helping to provide your lower back and pelvis with more stability as well.
It is unlikely, although not impossible, that your low back pain will resolve as a result of
performing hamstring stretches alone. The chances are however, that you may need to perform one
or two other exercises as well, be they stretching or strengthening

Oral health in Australia is a concern. The impact of poor dental health can instigate ulcers,
gingivitis, gum disease and damage one s overall health. Tooth decay is extensive among Australian
adults, and tooth aches are a considerable amount of hospital admission for children (Parliament of
Australia, 2013). Two in three children aged 14 years have deteriorated permanent teeth, while three
in ten adults receive no treatment at all. Adults living in rural Australiaare 1.7 times more likely to
have no teeth than those in major cities. 14 percent of children and 37 percent of adults avoid or

The impact on the health system alone will have a dynamic consequences for younger Australians.
Financing this becomes problematic, Australia already spends 9.5 percent of gross domestic
product (GPI) was health care services (Organisation for Economic Co operation and
Development, 2013) and costs will only escalate. The health workforce in 2011 had 3.3 doctors
and 10.1 nurses per 100 000 population however 25 percent of those were over the age of 55 years
(Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development, 2013). Then there is community
expectations on receiving services free or at a very low cost. Not to mentation globalisation which
requires high efficient technology to transmit information internationally and finally government
overregulation.
Ensuring effective and cost efficient health care is not an easy battle however, some pre planning
is required. Similar to superannuation funds, a foundation needs to be established for each
Australian worker, then a percentage of their income should be paid directly into this reserve and
may be drawn against when health care issues arise. This would elevate some of the financing
pressure and community expectations. The Medicare levy tax would still be charged to cover
medical training, research, technology and assist vulnerable Australians.

Internal And Internal Conflict In The Tell Tale Heart And...
In both the stories The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe and The Hand written by Guy de
Maupassant, have many internal and external conflicts around the narrator. An internal conflict is a
struggle that takes place in one s mind, or this is when you are having a war inside of you with
your self. External conflicts are when one is in dispute with another man, nature, or the
environment around them. Here are a few examples from each of the stories. In the short storyThe
Tell Tale Heart , the narrator is annoyed by an elderly man s eye, or the vulture eye. In the book it
describes the eye as a pale blue eye with a film over it . The narrator wants to get rid of the eye, so
he decides that he will need to killthe old man. Here we find our first internal conflict. The narrator
says that he loves the man, but hates his haunting eye, thus he wants to kill him. When it s night
and he stalks the old man who is in sleep, the narrator feels bad about having to kill him when he
can t see the eye, but the moment that he does he has an impulse to kill him. This quote here
shows exactly that, It is impossible to say how first the idea entered my brain; but once
conceived... Object there was none. Passion there was none. I loved the old man. He had never
wronged me. He had never given me insult. For his gold I had no desire. I think it was his eye!
yes, it was this! He had the eye of a vulture a pale blue eye, with a film over it. Whenever it fell
upon me, my blood ran cold; and so ... I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and
thus rid myself of the eye forever. The second conflict I came across was, when the narrator was
stalking down the old man at night, while he was sleeping. While the old chap was sleeping, his
eye was closed, as a result the narrator didn t have the drive to kill him. He waited seven long
days till the old man finally stayed awake after the narrator made noise in the old man s house. On
this night, the murderous narrator killed the old man, because the eye was finally open. This quote
shows the external conflict of man versus time. I undid the lantern cautiously... I undid it just so
much that a single thin ray fell upon the vulture eye. And this I

A Natural History Of The Homo Sapien
A Natural History of the
HOMO SAPIEN
160,000 years ago, a new species was born. Today, I am excited to say that I am a part of that
species; we all are. In fact, there are approximately 7 billion of us on this planet; Homo sapiens,
that is who we are. We evolved in Africa and like many other early humans that were living at this
time, we gathered and hunted food. But as time went on, we evolved, as to better suit our forever
changing environment. Humans have the capacity to adapt to any given situation and over time
our behaviors change, as to better suit said situation. Our behaviors is what allows us to challenge
our environment in any unstable circumstance and come out on the other side. After all, we are just
trying to survive.
Classification Classifying an organism is no easy task. In order to classify an organism, we
must use a hierarchical system. The hierarchical system was invented by Carolus Linnaeus and
includes many aspects, such as an organisms kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and
lastly, species. So technically, species is what the organism is; is is it s classification. You see,
there are different ways in which we define a species. In the case of the Homo sapien, species is a
sexually reproducing organism which in other words allows other members of said species to
reproduce amongst themselves creating viable offspring that can do the same. Although we call the
Homo sapien a human , the more scientific term is whom we really are.

Answer: The Yangtze used to flood every year wiping out mountainside villages, you can see this

The dam allowed China to regulate water flow and harness it for energy. It also was part of the
government efforts to redirect water flow to drought stricken areas. 6. Energy Implications:
Compare the energy production of the Three Gorges Dam to the Hoover Dam. Although China
believed the Dam would provide the nation with 10% of its power needs, what is the current

Answer: China thought that the Three Gorges Dam would provide 10 percent of China s total
energy needs. During the years of construction, the population МЃs demand of energy has reduced
that number to 3 percent. The Hoover Dam produces, on average, about 4 billion kilowatt hours of

What Is The Lethal Weapon Rhetorical Techniques
Lethal Weapon is a film made by Richard Donner in 1987. It tells a story of two policemen who

Riggs is suicidal officer who lives in a trailer with his dog. To solve the case they need to learn how
to work with one another.
Lethal Weapon is an action movie. As in almost every type of the movie viewers can follow
narration development but they become distracted by some action scenes (like blowing something
up, chasing the car etc.) and narration is suspended for a while. We can notice the same practice
for example in musicals. Action is interrupted there by singing and dancing. But what is also really

At the beginning they are using only their fists but they become shirtless really quickly and at one

Run Lola Run Film Techniques
The German thriller film Run Lola Run (Tom Tykwer, 1998) does not follow the classical
Hollywood film style conventions as manipulates both time and classic narrative structure. The
opening of the film does not represent a potential equilibrium like classical Hollywood style film
presents, but it just automatically throws the audience into the principle paradox, being that Lola
needs to get 100,000 Marks to save her boyfriend Manni. The director offers three alternative
narratives in his filmbased on a chain of cause and effects. Each narrative begins with Lola in her
room thinking of who to ask for help, each slightly different, based on series of cause and effect
chains. Time is manipulated greatly in this film as there are flashbacks, and... Show more content on

The classical Hollywood style normally has some kind of narrative when it comes to these types
of things but no. The director leaves everything to the quick eye of the viewer and to their
discretion of what actual happened. The actuality of the different sequences is blurred too. The
story really never explained how the different outcomes actually happened and why it was
happening. After Lola died the first time the sequence starts over almost as a video game and the
same when Manni died but when they actually succeed the film continues with the story and comes
to an end.
Tom Tykwersaid he wanted to attempt to define the contradictions of existence and which

made standard and wanted to try modernized story telling in films. He almost contradicted every
idea of classical Hollywood on every level except on the happy ending. Tom Tykwer wanted this
film to be very different and has exceeded those expectations. His film went to go and win an

An Emerging Class Of Non Relational Database Management...
NOSQL is an emerging class of non relational database, used to handle Big Data, it stands for Not
Only SQL which solve the problem of processing unstructured data, considering that this non
relational database does not use a schema, and does not relay on the table/key model used in
RDBMSs (Relational DataBaseManagement System).
NOSQL have the following characteristic:
Scalability: the competence to store data across multiple data stores simultaneously, moreover
enlarge and decrease the size of data stores in response to the need. All these operations must be
invisible to the end users.
Data and Query model: a specific framework are used in SQL to store data, in addition data are
access intelligently with a requisite set of query APIs.
Interface diversity: a variant connection mechanism is offered for programmers and data base
managers; it also supports RESTfull APIs.
Persistence design: a very fast memory system of the servers is used to keep the entire database.
Eventual consistency: Basically Available Soft state and Eventual Consistency known as BASE is
the used mechanism to ensure the consistency of data, rather than Atomicity, consistency of
Isolation, Durability ACID used in RDBMS.
The main technology under NoSQL are: Key Value Pair Store, Document Oriented Databases, and

Analysis Of Paulo Coelho s Journey In The Alchemist
As Drake, a three time grammy winning rapper, said in his high school graduation speech,
Sometimes it s the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination. These journeys can be
hard, and in The Alchemist Santiago learns that his journey taught him a lot of the values that
shape his personality. Paulo Coelhorepresents the everyman with Santiago, and uses his journey
to communicate the moral of the novel which is the journey you follow while pursuing your
Personal Legend is the treasure not the treasure itself, once again relating back to Drake s quote.
In The Alchemist Paulo Coelho uses Santiago to illustrate that completing your Personal Legend
is not easy, and you need to take wisdom from others, be willing to change, and persevere
through hardships in order to succeed. Wisdom is usually passed on by someone who is elder to
you, and wisdom allows you to have a larger perspective on precise situations. At the beginning
of the novel, the king introduces Santiago to the idea of discovering [one s] Personal Legend, but
at the time Santiago, didn t know what a person s Personal Legend was. (23) Paulo Coelho
included this detail in the book to show the connection between wisdom from others and pursuing
our dreams. Without the king s input on Santiago s recurring dreams, Santiago wouldn t have
known what his Personal Legend was or what a Personal Legend is for that matter. This connects
to us because in the real world many thrive off of others. For example,

Accidental Shootings
As of now the United States currently has 45 states that allow the open carry of guns in public,
however there are still rules and regulations to come with the law. Florida not being included into
those 45 states, has an estimated 1.4 million concealed weapons permits meaning they are legal
able to possess a handgun that is stored away and not visible to others. Well if you allow all of
those permit holders to just walk around in the clear day with a gun, there s going to be a higher
risk factor of accidental shootings or other related issues due specifically to the simple access to a
weapon. On the other side of the accidental issues that can occur, you may be in a situation where
quick access or even having one see the gun, can stop and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Some believe that concealed handguns will increase the possibilities of an argument becoming
more lethal, and that our society will be safer if we have fewer guns on our street instead of
more. However, most responsible adults respectfully follow the laws and tend to not misuse
their handguns, or rifles. The belief is public safety should be handled by professionally, trained
and qualified police officers, not citizens who hold little or possibly no experience training.
Well, with responsible armed citizens on our streets, it gives us another form of safety because
one will be able to protect the public rather than rely on the police force. Police are not always
able to be at the scene in time to stop crimes from happening, according to the Self defense Mind
Body Spirit , the average police response time is an estimated 10 12 minutes. Citizens who are
trained properly and at the scene of the crime will be able to go into action quicker and possibly
save lives depending on the type of chaos. Nonetheless, Between May 2007 and Mar. 11, 2014,
there was a reported 622 citizens killed, along with 14 law enforcement officers nationally by
citizens who have legally been permitted to carry a concealed handgun. Another issue with open

Ftp Impact On Society
The early 1930s was home to one of the most devastating times in American history. Many
Americans were unemployed, making little money, and struggled getting by everyday. One thing
that brought people together were the theatrical arts. The Federal Theatre Project (FTP) helped to
bring jobs and entertainment to people during the Great Depression. The FTP did many things to
bring theatrical works across the country, but the short span of four years questions its
effectiveness. The FTP gained government support and provided jobs for people seeking work.
With the government backing the FTP, there were sure to be political problems such as
unconstitutional practices. Theaters were private businesses which provided unions to protect
workers. Text

For data gathering, a communication study was used in the form of a survey. Ex post facto
extent of control was used since Penton Media can t change the results and have to report the
results they receive. The purpose was chosen as a reporting study as they are compiling data and
providing a summary of the survey results. This study s time frame is cross sectional with a
survey being sent out once for the formal results. The topical scope is statistical because it wants
to compare characteristics and draw conclusions. Field conditions were used in this study because
there is no change in the surveyor s environment. Finally, the participant s perceptions are not
changed and they are aware of the research being conducted. Strengths The strength of this study is
in the ex post facto design where Penton Media has to report from the survey results. There is no
way that Penton Media can change or modify the results so this makes the research more reliable
and dependable. Another strength is that the participant s environment and perceptions aren t
changed or affected. This makes for more honest and trustworthy results. Weaknesses A
communication study is great for the research question that Penton Media is trying to answer.
However, they could also get more data from their advertisers. Since many companies keep a
record of how a customer finds out about their company, it would be worthwhile to also get

Theme Of Gentleman In To Kill A Mockingbird
A gentleman treats other people in a proper way and is a chivalrous, courteous, or honorable man,
according to Merriam Webster. In To Kill a Mockingbird, Jem learns these qualities of a gentleman
through the indelible impact of his father, Atticus. His character develops throughout the story with
his relationship with Scout, his sister, and with his views on people and situations in Maycomb.
The growth of Jem and Scout s relationship shows understanding of Atticus definition of a
gentleman. At the beginning of the story, Jem was mostly worried about his own stubborn self.
This is shown when Jem pushes Scout super fast in a tire because she didn t agree with his
statement on Hot Steams. Scout narrates, Until it happened I did not realize that Jem was offended
by my contradicting him on Hot Steams, and that he was patiently waiting an opportunity to
reward me (Lee 49). In other words, Jem needed to be in control and prove a point to Scout that he
was right. This quote shows Jem s stubbornness and unwillingness to protect Scout due to his lack
of gentleman tendencies. At this point in the story, Jem is not mature enough to learn from Atticus
but that eventually changes. Towards the end, Jem and Scout were on their way home from the
Halloween pageant when Jem heard something but didn t tell Scout. Scout ponders, I wondered
what he was thinking. He d tell me when he wanted to, probably when we got home. I felt his

Father Flynn in John Patrick Shanley’s Doubt Essay
It is difficult to make the decision if Father Flynn is innocent or guilty. In John Patrick Shanley s
Doubt; a parable, he eclipses the truth very well. The scenes about the toy, the camping trip and the
undershirt cause much confusion; causing the audience to go back and forth in their minds and
doubt Father Flynn. Law says that people are innocent until proven guilty although; realistically,
everyone knows that people are guilty until proven innocent. It is very possible that Father Fynn is
only helping Donald, because he is less fortunate than the other students at his school; and it is also
very possible that he is hurting the child by molesting him. The decision is left to the audienceas the
jury. Father Flynn gave Donald Miller... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Maybe take the boys on a camping trip. The point being? (Shanley, 2008)Sister Alyosuis is clearly
dismissing his plan altogether. Much so, because she would never permit something like that,
with her traditional views on how her school was run, and her plans of keeping it that way.
Father Flynn makes the suggestion maybe just for some bonding time with the children, and to
be more appealing to them and their parents. Father Flynn Says to Sister Aloysuis We should be
friendlier. The children and the parents should see us as members of their family rather than
emissaries from Rome. But we are not members of their family. We are different. (Shanley, 2005)
Shanley expresses a fine line between friendly, and too friendly. Father Flynn may have suggested
the trip for a chance to be alone with the boys where no one would see them if he planned on doing
incongruous things with them. Since the trip was only a offer, and Sister Aloysuis would never
allow it, Shanley shows Father Flynn s concept, but never uncovers his real intentions with the kids
on this camping trip.
Sister James sees Father Flynn putting an undershirt in Donald s locker while the children are in
their dance class. Father Flynn did not know anyone saw him. Sister James says I saw you put

Thomas Edison Accomplishments
Genius is two percent inspiration and ninety eight percent perspiration, said by one of the most
ingenious inventors in American history. Thomas Alva Edison held more than 1,000 registered
trademarks and is best remembered for inventing the phonograph or jukebox/stereo turntable in
1877. He also invented the first commercially successful electric light bulb two years later.
Although Edison did not invent the light bulb, he developed a durable fiber/thread that made its use
practical.
Thomas Alva Edison was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio, which was a community that
was the largest wheat shipping center in the world other than Odessa,Russia. His family moved to
Port Huron, Michigan in 1854, which exceeded the commercial excellence of both Milan and
Odessa. After spending 12 weeks in the noisy one room schoolhouse with 38 other kids of two
different ages, Thomas overworked and his short tempered teacher finally became flustered with
Thomas questioning and seemingly self centered behavior. Thomas made no secret of his belief that

Although, this accomplishment was way less related to his particular discovery of an incandescent

economically practical system for generating and distributing light and power around the world.
The majority of historians usually associate Edison with the invention of the light bulb along with

Medicine In The Elizabethan Era
Herbal Remedies and Poisons in Elizabethan Times
In this day and age, there are millions of pharmaceuticals out there for all kinds of diseases and
conditions, but where did all of this start? The creation of medicines most likely started when
people discovered the healing properties plants contained. Today, civilization has the knowledge
and technology to extract elements from plants to produce more chemically engineered medicines.
The real question is how did medicines develop from mashing up leaves in order to lessen an
infuriating rash to just popping a pill to nurse or illness? Medicines evolved by the scientific
method: series of research and experiments. During the Elizabethan era, research and
experimentation attained a renewed interest. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Medicines were mostly produced to cure diseases. Back in the 1600s scurvy and malaria were
huge problems that needed to be dealt with. As mentioned in previous paragraph malaria was
treated by the bark of the Cinchona tree and is still used today. The bark of the Cinchona tree
(called quina quina by the indigenous Peruvians), found in the rain forests along the Amazon
River in the Andes of South America, contained an ingredient called quinine, which is still used
in the treatment of malaria, a disease transmitted by the bite of an infected mosquito and one of
the oldest plagues of mankind (Cassell, Dank K., and Cynthia A. Sanoski). This shows that
achievements made back then are still important to this date. Scurvy was a disease caused by
vitamin deficiency, but that was not known back then. Jacques Cartier is a French explorer
whose crew got infected with scurvy. Jacques and his crew came in contact with an Iroquois
tribe in the New World, who knew how to cure scurvy. The women of the tribe would use juniper
needles and bark to make a tea and use the leftover tea to wash the affected person s leg. Juniper
needles and bark contain a lot of vitamins the human body needs, so when the affected person
drank the juniper tea they got all the vitamins they lost back in turn curing scurvy. Poisons also had
reasons why they were needed. Hemlock and aconite are deadly poisons

A Trend Oriented Power System Security
A TREND ORIENTED POWER SYSTEM SECURITY ANALYSIS METHOD BASED ON
LOAD PROFILE Power system security is an important aspect in the present generation. Power
system security must also be economical. We can t predict the fault at every time, so based on
trend analysis method on load profile in this paper we are going to see the various methods
which help for the protection of the power system. So we should carefully monitor the security.
By these methods discussed in the paper we are to form security indices which helps us to
calculate the faults in advance. With these methods when problem occurs in real time we will
have the security indices to respond faster to find out the solution for the problem and also we
can protect in advance. Introduction: Power system analysis is important part of power systems.
According to the mathematical model we can divide security analysis into two types 1.Static
analysis 2.Dynamic analysis Dynamic security analysis is more focused on the behavior
subsequent to a contingency, power system oscillatory modes, frequency instability. In this paper
we are going to study about static analysis. Now moving on to the trend analysis theory it is
developed from stock and commodity markets. This analysis is majorly successful in medical and
mechanical fields, now it is widely used in electrical systems. Trend analysis theory has its own
applications in electrical field such as signal processing, load forecasting, fault

Killer Whale s Current Population Range
Killer whale is known as the Orca or their scientific name, Orcunus Orca. Killer whale is the
largest of the dolphin family and also the strongest and powerful predators. The Orca has the name
killer whale because they can take down any large creature such as seals, sea lion or even white
shark. The killer whales current population range is about 50,000 and they are the most distributed
marine mammals. Their territory extends from the Artic to the Antarctic but they mostly can be
found in the cold water upwelling areas such as the Pacific Northwest, the Southern Ocean that
has high latitude. Not only they can be found in the cold ocean, many data has also shown that
they have been seen in the warmer area such as Florida or Hawaii. They are predators, so they eat
marine animals such as seals, sea lions, fish, sea turtles, birds or even the great white shark. The
difference between the female and the male killer whaleis the male Orca is 32 feet long; weight
22,000 pounds with 6 feet tall dorsal fin while the female Orca is 28 feet long; weight 16,500

white color on the lower body with gray saddle on their back or behind their dorsal fin. They have

Thrombophilia defines inherited and acquired conditions associated with an increased thrombotic

While laboratories became unable to provide results in time frames needed to allow rapid

The Key Teachings From The Catholic Church
One of the key teachings from the Catholic Church is that all human life is sacred. We know this
because we are all created in the image and likeness of God. In Genesis 1:26 27 it reveals, Then
God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness ... So God created man in his own image,
in the image of Godhe created him; male and female he created them . This means that we are what
we are because of God, we are spiritual because God is spirit: The Spirit of God was hovering over
the waters (Genesis 1:2)This is one of the many examples of how we are all created in the image of
God. We are all created to have the potential to express these godlike capacities distinctively

The first example of religious symbolic language is presented in the bridge of the song, to which Mercury sings Bismillah , which is the first word recited in the Quran. The use of Bismillah allows the Muslim audience to understand the old Mercury , and that it will always be a part of him. The other use of religious symbolic language is present in the lyric Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me . The lyric suggests that Mercury is referring to himself as being possessed by a demon and addressing the view of being considered sinful due to his sexual orientation, implying that God always knew that he was a homosexual. He is arguing to the audience that if he was created by God and born with the destiny of being homosexual, then his sexual orientation is willed by God. Therefore, he states that if God is good and holy, then whatever God has created should not be considered sinful. Thus, it is important to note that religious symbolic language, as well as imagery has helped provide the audience a narrative to understand Mercury s struggle in dealing with religion in relation to his sexual ... It can wear down and damage teeth, break restorations, cause TMJ (jaw joint) disorders, bring on mysterious headaches, and cause facial pain. Many people who have trouble with bruxism do not even realize they are grinding their teeth. Some people grind their teeth at night when they are asleep. Those who clench or grind their teeth during the day often do so when they feel anxious. In fact, one of the common causes of bruxism is stress. Other factors, such as misaligned teeth or an improper bite, can also create discomfort. Less common causes of bruxism are neurological disorders, injuries, and side effects from certain medications.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also, Dr. Thomas Peltzer can examine your teeth for signs of unusual wear, check the muscles around your jaw, and ask specific questions about your behavior and medical history to determine if bruxism is a problem for you. Some other signs to watch for include rhythmic contractions of the jaw muscles, morning headaches or jaw pain, teeth that feel loose, and unexplained facial soreness or pain. How Can I Prevent Bruxism? If your teeth grinding or clenching is related to stress, you may want to seek counseling, exercise, or try relaxation techniques. Cutting out tobacco and decreasing alcohol and caffeine intake can also decrease the frequency of the problem. I have a lot of experience with them, and I think temporary assignments are a great way to test different types of companies and jobs. There are certain ground rules to follow when working for temporary agencies. I will list them later. One of the first things you want to do before calling a temp agency to set up an appointment is check out their Web site; most, if not all, agencies have one. If you can register online and upload a copy of your resume, do it. This will help a lot with larger agencies like Kelly, Robert Half and Adecco. Another advantage is that you can apply for jobs that you think meet your skill set. Within one or two days, someone from the agency will call you. You will still have to go in for an interview and skills testing, but incorporating you into their employee network will be easier for the agency. Many times I have read blogs where people lamented that agencies boasted dozens of jobs in ads, but when they went in to apply, the jobs had all disappeared. This isn t true. Film Analysis Of Stanley Kubrick s Full Metal Jacket United States Marines are some of the roughest and toughest men to ever walk this Earth, and that is because Marines is not born but instead built, and the men who mold those boys into Marines do a damn good job at doing so. Stanley Kubrick s portrayal of the United States military and more specifically the Marine Corps, in his 1987 film Full Metal Jacket is arguably unmatched by any other film to date. In a similar vein to which I have mentioned in an article on the piriformis muscle ( Low Back Pain Sciatica The Role of the Piriformis Muscle ) tight hamstring muscles can also have an influence over the lower back, sacro iliac joint and sciatic nerve. This will result in tension being taken from the lower back, sacro iliac joint and hamstring muscles, which in turn will encourage correct function of these areas, therefore healing will take place. As a result, your pain will also begin to resolve. Be careful when performing this stretch, as it is important you do not allow your back to flatten too much into the floor/surface you are lying on. A simple way to prevent this is to keep your low back in a neutral position and then gently tighten your abdominal muscles. The abdominal muscles play an important role with regards to stability of the lower back and associated structures, and therefore by gently working these while performing this exercise, you will be helping to provide your lower back and pelvis with more stability as well. • 14. Internal And Internal Conflict In The Tell Tale Heart And... In both the stories The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe and The Hand written by Guy de Maupassant, have many internal and external conflicts around the narrator. An internal conflict is a struggle that takes place in one s mind, or this is when you are having a war inside of you with your self. External conflicts are when one is in dispute with another man, nature, or the environment around them. Here are a few examples from each of the stories. In the short storyThe Tell Tale Heart , the narrator is annoyed by an elderly man s eye, or the vulture eye. In the book it describes the eye as a pale blue eye with a film over it . The narrator wants to get rid of the eye, so he decides that he will need to killthe old man. Here we find our first internal conflict. The narrator says that he loves the man, but hates his haunting eye, thus he wants to kill him. When it s night and he stalks the old man who is in sleep, the narrator feels bad about having to kill him when he can t see the eye, but the moment that he does he has an impulse to kill him. He had never wronged me. He had never given me insult. For his gold I had no desire. I think it was his eye! yes, it was this! He had the eye of a vulture a pale blue eye, with a film over it. Whenever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold; and so ... I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid myself of the eye forever. The second conflict I came across was, when the narrator was stalking down the old man at night, while he was sleeping. While the old chap was sleeping, his eye was closed, as a result the narrator didn t have the drive to kill him. He waited seven long days till the old man finally stayed awake after the narrator made noise in the old man s house. On this night, the murderous narrator killed the old man, because the eye was finally open. This quote shows the external conflict of man versus time. I undid the lantern cautiously... We evolved in Africa and like many other early humans that were living at this time, we gathered and hunted food. But as time went on, we evolved, as to better suit our forever changing environment. Humans have the capacity to adapt to any given situation and over time our behaviors change, as to better suit said situation. Our behaviors is what allows us to challenge our environment in any unstable circumstance and come out on the other side. After all, we are just trying to survive. The hierarchical system was invented by Carolus Linnaeus and includes many aspects, such as an organisms kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and lastly, species. So technically, species is what the organism is; is is it s classification. You see, there are different ways in which we define a species. In To Kill a Mockingbird, Jem learns these qualities of a gentleman through the indelible impact of his father, Atticus. His character develops throughout the story with his relationship with Scout, his sister, and with his views on people and situations in Maycomb. He also invented the first commercially successful electric light bulb two years later. Although Edison did not invent the light bulb, he developed a durable fiber/thread that made its use practical. Thomas Alva Edison was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio, which was a community that was the largest wheat shipping center in the world other than Odessa,Russia. His family moved to Port Huron, Michigan in 1854, which exceeded the commercial excellence of both Milan and Odessa. After spending 12 weeks in the noisy one room schoolhouse with 38 other kids of two different ages, Thomas overworked and his short tempered teacher finally became flustered with Thomas questioning and seemingly self centered behavior. There is no question that Edison deserves a huge amount of credit for lighting up the world. Although, this accomplishment was way less related to his particular discovery of an incandescent light bulb (A.K.A the globe ball light bulb) than to his creation of the first genuinely safe and economically practical system for generating and distributing light and power around the world. The majority of historians usually associate Edison with the invention of the light bulb along with the other 1093 things he did indeed invent, using his bright, beautiful mind. • 29. Medicine In The Elizabethan Era Herbal Remedies and Poisons in Elizabethan Times In this day and age, there are millions of pharmaceuticals out there for all kinds of diseases and conditions, but where did all of this start? The creation of medicines most likely started when people discovered the healing properties plants contained. Today, civilization has the knowledge and technology to extract elements from plants to produce more chemically engineered medicines. The real question is how did medicines develop from mashing up leaves in order to lessen an infuriating rash to just popping a pill to nurse or illness? Medicines evolved by the scientific method: series of research and experiments. During the Elizabethan era, research and experimentation attained a renewed interest. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Medicines were mostly produced to cure diseases. Back in the 1600s scurvy and malaria were huge problems that needed to be dealt with. As mentioned in previous paragraph malaria was treated by the bark of the Cinchona tree and is still used today. The bark of the Cinchona tree (called quina quina by the indigenous Peruvians), found in the rain forests along the Amazon River in the Andes of South America, contained an ingredient called quinine, which is still used in the treatment of malaria, a disease transmitted by the bite of an infected mosquito and one of the oldest plagues of mankind (Cassell, Dank K., and Cynthia A. Sanoski). This shows that achievements made back then are still important to this date. Scurvy was a disease caused by vitamin deficiency, but that was not known back then. Jacques Cartier is a French explorer whose crew got infected with scurvy. Jacques and his crew came in contact with an Iroquois tribe in the New World, who knew how to cure scurvy. The women of the tribe would use juniper needles and bark to make a tea and use the leftover tea to wash the affected person s leg. Juniper needles and bark contain a lot of vitamins the human body needs, so when the affected person drank the juniper tea they got all the vitamins they lost back in turn curing scurvy. Poisons also had reasons why they were needed. Hemlock and aconite are deadly poisons ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. A Trend Oriented Power System Security A TREND ORIENTED POWER SYSTEM SECURITY ANALYSIS METHOD BASED ON LOAD PROFILE Power system security is an important aspect in the present generation. Power system security must also be economical. We can t predict the fault at every time, so based on trend analysis method on load profile in this paper we are going to see the various methods which help for the protection of the power system. So we should carefully monitor the security. By these methods discussed in the paper we are to form security indices which helps us to calculate the faults in advance. With these methods when problem occurs in real time we will have the security indices to respond faster to find out the solution for the problem and also we can protect in advance. Introduction: Power system analysis is important part of power systems. According to the mathematical model we can divide security analysis into two types 1.Static analysis 2.Dynamic analysis Dynamic security analysis is more focused on the behavior subsequent to a contingency, power system oscillatory modes, frequency instability. In this paper we are going to study about static analysis. Now moving on to the trend analysis theory it is developed from stock and commodity markets. This analysis is majorly successful in medical and mechanical fields, now it is widely used in electrical systems. Trend analysis theory has its own applications in electrical field such as signal processing, load forecasting, fault ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Killer whale is the largest of the dolphin family and also the strongest and powerful predators. The Orca has the name killer whale because they can take down any large creature such as seals, sea lion or even white shark. The killer whales current population range is about 50,000 and they are the most distributed marine mammals. Their territory extends from the Artic to the Antarctic but they mostly can be found in the cold water upwelling areas such as the Pacific Northwest, the Southern Ocean that has high latitude. Not only they can be found in the cold ocean, many data has also shown that they have been seen in the warmer area such as Florida or Hawaii. They are predators, so they eat marine animals such as seals, sea lions, fish, sea turtles, birds or even the great white shark. The difference between the female and the male killer whaleis the male Orca is 32 feet long; weight 22,000 pounds with 6 feet tall dorsal fin while the female Orca is 28 feet long; weight 16,500 pounds with a little curve dorsal fin on the back. Their color is black on the upper body and white color on the lower body with gray saddle on their back or behind their dorsal fin. They have two white spot on the side of their face called eyespot. Physical Therapy Summary A source, written by Greve and Schmitt, studied two children that were both diagnosed with spastic diplegia, and during there therapy session, the participants were instructed a set of goals to work toward. To begin, the introduction discussed what issues children with cerebral palsy struggle with. These authors are credible because they work in the Cincinnati Children s Hospital Medical Center as physical therapists and occupational therapists. The article holds authority in that it was published in the peer reviewed journal Pediatric Physical Therapy. The introduction discusses the idea that intensive bursts of therapy are more effective than, for example, lower intensity therapy over a long period of time (Bailes, Greve, Schmitt, 2010). This article appears unbiased; the children were chosen randomly based on specific criteria (spastic diplegia and cerebral palsy diagnosis), and their results were measured using criteria specific to their needs. Different health professionals observed the participants, including physical therapy and occupational therapy, which means, observation and conclusions drawn were based on multiple opinions. Thrombophilia defines inherited and acquired conditions associated with an increased thrombotic risk, which predispose to venous thromboembolism (VTE), cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and stroke. Thromboembolic events have long been treated with the most commonly used anticoagulant drug, heparin that is rapidly replaced by low molecular weight heparin(LMWH). A variety of point of care (POC) coagulationplatforms have been commercially available for many years now, providing more control over the patient s anticoagulation management such as heparin and warfarin. While the measurement for anticoagulation by POC devices has relied mainly on the clotting time tests, innovative platelet function tests, and factor specific assays based on... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While the prevention of a thrombotic event achieved by an anticoagulant, over or under dosing can give rise to excessive bleeding or severe clotting respectively, therefore closely link therapy with monitoring is essential. Several techniques have been developed to address the disadvantages of large sample volumes, by multiplexing of the assays in which various parameters or analytes are measured concurrently from a single sample. While laboratories became unable to provide results in time frames needed to allow rapid turnaround that would allow timely intervention of anticoagulant therapy, the requirement for POC coagulation monitoring techniques became essential (Harris, Castro LГіpez and Killard, 2013). In this review, I will focus on the availability of POC diagnostic tests for monitoring the anticoagulant therapy for thrombophilia. I will first describe the conventional clot based assays and then, I will attempt to address current advances in microfluidic POC tests used for monitoring thromboembolic related events and highlight new fluorescence based anti Factor Xa (FXa) microfluidic POC assay platform for monitoring both unfractionated and low molecular weight heparins and fluorescence based blood coagulation assay platform for monitoring activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT).
