Essay On DPT Vaccination
A 1992 study published in The American Journal of Epidemiology shows that children die at a rate 8
times greater than normal within three days after getting a DPT vaccination.
A preliminary study by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) found children who received the HiB
vaccine ... were found to be 5 times more likely to contract the disease than children who had not
received the vaccine.
In the New England Journal of Medicine July 1994 issue a study found that over 80% of children
under 5 years of age who had contracted whooping cough had been fully vaccinated.
In 1977 Dr Jonas Salk (inventor of the Salk polio vaccine) testified with other scientists that 87% of

Few people are questioning how those viruses were obtained and how they were grown in a
laboratory. If one would ask these sensible questions, one would become very enlightened about
vaccine production. I warn you now, discussing vaccine production will turn your stomach. Vaccines
are made from the most vilest and filthiest substances on the earth. Since the definition of abomination
is anything that is filthy , the term describes vaccinations adequately and truthfully. The vaccine
cauldron is full of putrid junk from bodies exposed to disease and excreting morbid purulence.
Science gathers this junk up in hopes of making vaccines for preventing disease; and we are being
fooled while vaccinations cause increases in

Privacy in the Online World Essay
Privacy is something we don t really think about. Privacy is the last thing that comes up in our minds.
The Internet is easily accessed by many people and can be hacked to find out important private
information about anyone. People all over the world access the Internet, and when private information
is posted online one person is going to be able to view that information no matter the privacy setting a
person may use. The first article that I will use is Who Is This Man, and Why Is He Screaming? by
Rachel Kadish. This article is about the author writing an article about her cousin Noam Galai. Galai
took a photo of him self and posted it on Flickr. Months later he realized that his image was being
used all around the world. The second ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some people have the tendency of misusing the Internet and risking their privacy. Technology is so
powerful that any thing that you upload to the Internet will be in the power of other people. Like
Singer said about the new technology it has made us open up to the world, so now everybody can see
us and know who we are. Galai s photo went international when he posted the picture of himself
yawning. This is why people have to be careful when posting things on the Internet, to protect their
own privacy.
In addition the protecting ourselves, having more privacy can protect the rights of other individuals.
Kadish asks herself If your face isn t private property, what is? (Kadish 262). Kadish is right because
if Galai posted a picture of himself and other people used it, then how many other people are having
the same dilemma? If Galai would have had more privacy, no one could have had the rights to use his
photo. Peter singer says, We sign away our privacy in exchange for the conveniences of modern
living, giving corporations access to information about our financial circumstances and our spending
habits, which will then be used to target us for ads or to analyze our customer habits (Singer 462).
With the use of technology our privacy is decreasing. Kadish also says There s something glorious and
terrible about a world in which a picture of one s face can sweep around the globe this way, part of

Edward Scissorhands Character Analysis
Individuality can be an admired gift, but it is often buried under society s illogically perfect
expectations. The famous film director, Tim Burton, known for directing movies such as Edward
Scissorhands and Alice in Wonderland, proves in several thrilling adventures. He shows that
uniqueness is a strength, not a weakness, even if it means being an outcast or misfit. Through two of
his films, Miss Peregrine s Home for Peculiar Children and Edward Scissorhands, showcases the
message of identity is preferable to conformity.
An outcast is a perfect example of identity. Even if they try, they never truly fit in. Sometimes it can
be because of an awkward nature or because they are given the title goodie two shoes . But these
outcasts often ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Edward s actions speak very loudly, louder than his odd hands, dark clothing, or strange/awkward
behaviors. The show of loyalty proves Burton s message of identity. This message is also showcased
in the movie Miss Peregrine s Home for Peculiar Children. Basically, all of the Peculiars are the
outcasts of the film. When Jake first enters the loop and meets Miss Peregrine, she says a quote that
beautifully supports the message. As Miss Peregrine explains to Jake what Peculiars are, she says, We
are what s known in common towns as peculiar. Because our abilities don t fit in the outside world, we
live in places like this where no one can find us. Miss Peregrine. This quote helps to show the
audience that the misfits couldn t fit in, but as the movie continues, the peculiars prove themselves as
brave, merciful people with strong characters. In contrast, the times we do get to see the townspeople,
they seem to be reckless, moody, unstable people. The words both sets of characters say shows just
how different they are and just how much of a good thing being an outcast can be.
The contrasting settings between the two main different places also helps to accent the difference
between individuality and conformity. Typically, in each of Burton s films, there is a dark, eerie
setting, and a bright, vivid setting. The example of vivid versus eerie settings

Research Paper On Why Military Service Should Be Mandatory
Military Service: Should It Be Mandatory? Fighting for the homeland means fighting for freedom, but
how can men defend their country against enemies if they lack of the ability to fight? Conscription is
strategy that utilized by nations to assemble a large and powerful military, prepared to be deployed in
times of war or when the need to ensure the power of the state emerges. Mostly, conscription is for
male and in some cases and some countries have also for women, and usually begins as soon as the
end of the study; at the age, 18 years old. It consists of basic training and serve for two to three years
maximum. Countries depend on their soldiers to protect and defend them, and that is the reason why
various countries have compulsory service, such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most people maintain that serving the community should be voluntary, and each individual has the
absolute freedom to join or not to join the military service. However, it is argued that military service
builds individual personality and improves his skills in combat and defense, so there is no rational
reason not to make conscription mandatory. A person s character changed for the better during his
service in the military. To begin with, mandatory service teaches the person self discipline. Michael
Anthony, an author who served in US army, writes in his article, What the Military Teaches About Self
Discipline, that discipline must be ground into conscript. He needs to gain physical strength,
perseverance, knowledge, and courage, n.d. When an individual joins the military service, he forces to
do more than he thinks he can; he learns to obey commands and commits to important values, such as
learning how to be punctual in time. Daily workouts, meals, and sleep have specific time in the

Racism within To Kill a MockingBird There are many things cause by humans that can separate a
world and hurt very many people at one time. Anger or greed are some of the things we are all
fighting. However, neither of those come close to racism. The world s worst prejudice is racism, To
Kill a Mockingbird presented us with racism within their community and everyone was being hurt by
it. To Kill a Mockingbird was written during the depression when racism was unfortunately accepted.
This book shows how a family in a small southern town wanted it to stop. In every situation life
throws at us someone always disagrees. In Maycomb, there was a whole crowd. As read in this Novel
by Harper Lee, she shows that a community with differences always goes down as a whole. Racism
took a huge role in every little part of To Kill a Mockingbird. By far the worst victim was Tom
Robinson. Tom is the black man who plead guilty of raping a white woman, Mayella Ewell. Tom was
accused by Mayella s lying father Bob Ewell. Tom was brought to court and had a all white jury.
Atticus knows that Tom would never do such a thing and is completely innocent, and shows as much
evidence as he could. Even though all the evidence Atticus put on the table showed ... Show more

people of Maycomb were slowly starting to understand that their town looked great to an outsider but
was uglier than a New York City rat on the inside. They were dividing all because of racism. Some
folks of Maycomb did not like it, but all the others accepted it as every other town did during the
depression. The black community had many different views from the folks in Maycomb. Some folks
changed theirs while others kept the same ugly view of it. All in all, the negroes were still trapped in

afraid of putting his head under the water, but years passed and he was no longer scared by the water.
When he decided to try his first swim meet, it was the moment he made his first decision, among
many others, which he would make to achieve eight gold medals years later. At the age of eleven, his
mother took him to the see Bob Bowman, his future coach. Bob laid his eyes on Phelps and predicted

everything started going, Phelps said. This is a great pool for me (Michael Phelps). It was the third
win for Phelps at the three day meet, his last before the U.S. Olympic Trials that begin June 25 in
Omaha. On Friday, he also placed first in the 100 fly. On Saturday, he won the exhausting 400
individual medley. Over the weekend I hadn t had that great of swims, Phelps said. Hopefully, going

the 200 individual medley, saying that he wanted to focus on the butterfly on his last day before

one was his own, so to succeed, he just needed to do everything Mr. Bowman was saying. Three

an excerpt of his second inaugural address as he spoke in front of the people who looked up to him.
Some historians believed that Lincoln s second inaugural address is his greatest speech delivered to

Examples Of Lead By Example Essay
Lead by Example: Reality or Fiction?
Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive good things, and people will be drawn to you.
Mary Lou Retton says, driving home a topic brushed by schools and parents. Happiness is something
that everyone strives for and without a goal so large many things would be completely meaningless.
To some people happiness is an amazing house with cars and money but to others, happiness is a
loving, healthy family, a roof over their heads with clothes and food. When a large figure in society or
even a community shows their beliefs through examples, it is hard not to follow or at least be
interested. When something interesting is going on with hands on parts, or even just a couple jokes it
makes a big difference. In a classroom, the teacher is looked at as the person in charge. For seven
hours a day our younger generations are greatly influenced by five or six people more and more every
day. Do we put too much trust in these people? Many teachers love their jobs and thoroughly enjoy
broadening students horizons through education. In a chemistry class, a teacher can hand out
assignments and require hours of book readings every week over a chapter with a test at the end. With

Comparing Kenny And Byron
Kenny and Byron are both very similar and different. They have similarities like being able to tease
people and also like feeling sorry for things and people. They re also very different as well. Byron
often tries to act cool and tries to not show any emotion. Kenny on the other hand, tends to show his
emotion freely. Byron also doesn t do very well in school, unlike Kenny who seems to thrive in
school. Kenny could easily be described as inspired. Kenny displays this with his interaction with
other characters. For example, he went to talk with his father in the bathroom when his dad was
shaving. At that moment Kenny had said that he was also growing mustache. I believe that this is
because Kenny looks up to his father and wants to be like him. Another example would be ... Show

Byron shows this characteristic as he interacts with other characters in the story. For example, Byron
eventually throws a Swedish Creme cookie at a bird which ends up killing it. He gets extremely upset
with himself from this event. That is shown because of him throwing up, crying, and then having a
funeral for the bird. Then in many other experiences Byron carelessly beats up kids not feeling bad
afterwards whatsoever. This shows that he is ambivalent because he has mixed feelings about injury
and death. He carelessly beats up kids but then when it comes to killing a bird he has a huge
breakdown. Another example would be his feelings and action towards Kenny. Sometimes he will be
nice and brotherlike with Kenny, but then other times he turns around and then ends up beating up
Kenny. When Kenny goes to Byron s class and reads after school Byron in a way congratulates
Kenny. Then in other instances like How to survive a blizzard Byron seems to be a completely
different person and causes harm to Kenny with his friend Buphead. This also shows that he is
ambivalent because he treats Kenny nicely one second and then the next second he s teasing or beating

Endotherm
Endotherm refers to animals that adjust core temperature by internal corrective mechanism such as
humans. Most of the endotherm keep their body temperature around 35°C to 40°C. The body
temperature is controlled by the thermoregulatory centre in the hypothalamus. The temperature
regulating centers are discovered in the preoptic area situated in the anterior portion of the
hypothalamus. The function of this area is to receive information from temperature receptors located
in the skin, mucous membranes and also from the central thermoreceptors that monitor the
temperature of blood that pass through the brain. The hypothalamic thermostat works with other areas
of the brain to maintain the core temperature. When human facing cold weather, our skin temperature
drops. This stimulates skin cold receptors. When The thermoregulatory centre is stimulated,
hypothalamic thermostat and higher cortical centers are received all those signals. The temperature
change in the blood activated the thermostat. It cause response to control temperature. First,
norepinephrine release from sympathetic fibers causing vasoconstriction so that less heat carried from

How Does The Context Of Production Influence The Nature Of...
This afternoon on the poetry network live we examine two famous pieces on war from different eras,
these pieces are The Charge of the Light Brigade by Lord Alfred Tennyson and The Fool Rings His
Bell by Walter de la Mare.
The purpose of this afternoons show is to answer the question of how does the context of production
influence the nature of poetry?
When it comes to poetry war is an often reoccurring theme. Many poems have been written in times of
crisis when literal expression is the only way to make meaning of the madness.
For the best part of the last century, the theme of war has been dominated by negative connotations
and portrayals depicting quite realistically the atrocity and futility of war. We have ANZAC day, our
annual reminder of the sacrifice of war. When even one of our soldiers pays the ultimate price in a tour
of duty the nation mourns. Any band with an appreciable life span has sung a protest song. Be it from
the television, the radio, the internet or the newspaper the message remains the same; war is bad.
But it wasn t always like this. Back in the good old days when armies fought in ordered lines on far
away fields and shot, hacked and charged each other until there was only one side left standing war
was segregated from civilisation. The battlefield wasn t reproduced in the living room and the greater
public had no comprehension of the atrocities that occurred.
Getting back to the topic we have the Charge of the Light Brigade glorifying war, while

Disobeying Orders

Marine Corps and it can also hurt you if you ever decide to leave the Corps. The next Article is Article

Video Games Have Come A Long Way
Video games have come a long way since Pac Man hit arcades in 1980. In the last thirty plus years, we
have seen video games revolutionize art and entertainment. At first riding the coattails of computer
advancements, video games now drive technological progress in the search for innovation and
complete player immersion. Video games have started to go beyond the quest for the best graphics.
Games like Pokemon Go are pushing the bar and blurring the line between the game and real life
through augmented reality. Video games now give many people motivation in life and allow for more
human interaction in both the real and virtual world. In many ways, video games are the human
attempt to succeed where evolution has failed us. Evolution has equipped humans with the ability to
survive, but survival means something completely different nowadays. We no longer need to hunt with
our hands, hide away from predators, or scavenge for food. Our landscape has changed from the wilds
to the shopping mall. When the modern human faces the situation of how do I speak to someone I find
attractive? or delivery, dine in, or take out? As silly as it may sound, these simple, specific examples
are the type of problems that have replaced predators and famine what mechanisms have humans
gained from evolution to face these problems? This is where technology and the future of video games
come into play. To face the modern world, humans will redefine what it means to be entertained,

Introduction
Technology is embedded in almost every aspect of business today. Information technology has now
become a primary driver of market differentiation, business growth, and profitability. This new
Internet led the evolution of the ubiquitous Web 2.0 that is capable of integrating physical and virtual
world entities. Web 2.0 was characterized by specialized, publicly available data sources (e.g.
mapping data, weather information, etc.) accessible via light weight APIs (Application Programming
Interfaces) that can be used to create value added services in the form of Mashups. The propagation of

Animal Ethics And Animal Farming
Not only does killing and torturing animals for the consumption of their meat and products harm the
animal but it harms humans and our planet as well. It is common to find people who are omnivores in
our country and rare to find a vegan. The vegan lifestyle is the only way that we can save this planet.
Usually, if you are eating dinner and someone mentions the animal that you are eating, when it was
living, another person at the table freaks out because they do not want to think of that. We disassociate
ourselves with the actual living animal that has suffered huge amounts on our plates because we see
ourselves as animal lovers who are against inhumane torture and killing of animals. You can not
classify yourself as an animal lover if you consume an animal or their product because you are still
supporting their demise. Why? Because the taste pleases us. That is all. We are disgusted by people
who torture and hurt animals for pleasure. For example, people disassociate themselves from the
Philadelphia Eagles NFL team due to the actions of the player Michael Vick. Vick ran a dog fighting
ring and bet on dogs to kill one another. Why? For no other reason than the fact that it pleased him.
We say that we are animal lovers and agree that animals have at least some moral value but how does
this make killing and torturing animals for our consumption okay? Animal agriculture and factory
farming are huge industries that are sort of swept under the rug by omnivores. These

Mozart K331 Analysis Essay example
Analysis of W. A. Mozart s Piano Sonata in A Major, K. 331: First Movement Classical composer
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born to Leopold and Anna Maria Mozart in 1756 in Salzburg, Austria
(then the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation). Mozart showed promise in music from an early
age, prompting his father to assume the role as his instructor. His father described his son as a gift
from God, and Leopold nurtured Wolfgang s talents as such. Mozart would eventually travel
throughout Europe with his musical family; however, it was in Salzburg that he would compose three
piano sonatas in 1783. These pieces were most likely composed for Mozart s pupils in Vienna, who
were a significant source of income for him at the time. This paper ... Show more content on

Fig. 1: First Movement, mm. 1 18. The tender melody Mozart presents in these first 18 bars is simple,
with a lot of stepwise motion and small leaps. Adhering to classical style, he uses chords built on
diatonic pitches and resolves dissonances quickly. Pairing a simple homophonic melody with simple
accompaniment makes it easier to manipulate the theme in the coming variations. In Fig. 1, you ll
notice that the middle voice barely moves at all. In fact, it isn t until measure 9 that we start seeing
strong beats without an E in them. Also, the long short (quarter eighth/dotted eighth sixteenth) motive
remains constant until it too develops at measure 9. All of these techniques for a simple theme help
Mozart develop his idea later. In the first variation, Mozart agitates the theme with the use of
chromatic approaches and chromatic passing tones. Between the left and right hands, we hear an
unrelenting series of sixteenth notes. Mozart also incorporates more use of dynamics than he did in the
theme, by composing contrasting piano and forte sections. This drastic dynamic change happens in the
A section of the variation. In variation II, another insistent figure is introduced: this time, triplet
sixteenth notes. The melody in the right hand starts out very ornamented. Mozart then puts each
melody note at the start of a flowing downward triplet arpeggio. The left hand emphasizes the strong
beat throughout these triplets, and then the melody returns in the original

The Last Supper
The Last Supper Research Essay
The Last Supper is a religious scene in the Catholic bible, which tells the story of the last meal the
night before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. An important role in its religion, the Last Supper scene has
been recreated by artists many times. These visual interpretations of the event generally show Jesus,
surrounded by his disciples. During the meal, Jesus breaks the bread and serves the wine accompanied
with the command Take this all of you and eat it... this is my body... do this in remembrance of me .
Three artists who have produced paintings of the Last Supper include Leonardo DaVinci, Jacopo
Tintoretto and Salvador Dali. Each of these artists interpreted the religious event and recreated it in

In contrast to the physical reaction of the disciples, Jesus is calm with a peaceful equilibrium and a
dignified strength. He sits with his palms upturned to form a triangle with his arms and head, which
again refers to the number three symbolising the Holy Trinity.
By choosing this part of the story; he also chooses to leave out the bread and the wine normally sitting
on the table in visuals of the Last Supper. Leonardo s version is also the first to have Judas sitting on
the same side of the table as Jesus. Judas is identifiable by the symbols employed by Leonardo, such
as the money bag clutched tightly in Judas hand and the difference in his gesture and facial expression
to the other disciples. Although this painting breaks conventions, the realism used by Leonardo helped
the paintings function of conveying a true story to its audience to inspire them to be more faithful.
Perceptions of this artwork will have changed over time, as today s audience is far less religious and
would therefore be more likely to see The Last Supper as an aesthetic piece of artwork rather than a
narrative of a biblical story or connection to God.
After the ride and fall of High Renaissance came the style known as Mannerism. This style involved
developing artist individual style, artificial, aesthetically fantastic images and breaking away from

Analysis Of The Hunger Games
Let me start off by saying, DEREK AND MEREDITH WERE DESTINED TO BE TOGETHER AND
LIVE A HAPPY LIFE . If you ask the spectators of the show what they think about Shonda Rhimes
and her decisions in regards to her show, their first response might be that Shonda Rhimes might just
be the most heartless and evil woman on this earth. Grey s Anatomy involves real life situations in
which people (in this case the actors) have to learn to trust one another and ask them for help and
support. The unity that is shown most of the time on the show is heartwarming. From season to season
the viewers are taken into an emotional rollercoaster in which we never see what s coming next. Every
episode for the most part may be argued to follow the same sequence in which it starts normal and
then BOOM something happens and everyone or at least the ones involve put on their gear and work
together to solve it and it s those moments that grab the audience s full attention. The bonds created
between the characters make it seem for everyone to have that happiness, loyalty, love and more in
their lives. The meaning of friendship, love and family are constantly being questioned but until now
they have been able to overcome any obstacle put on their way.
The first three movies of the Hunger Games sequel are very captivating to the viewers. The suspense
of what will happen to Peeta and Katniss throughout the sequel makes the audience want to 1) read the

Lord Brahm The Father Of Hindu Gods And God
Brahma, the father of Hindu gods and men, is depicted as the creator of the universe. He is the first
member of the Hindu Trinity and ruler of all. Brahma is acknowledged as the creator as he
periodically creates everything in the universe, periodically due to the Hindu cyclical belief of
everything being created for a certain period of time and destroyed only to be renewed in a new form
once again. Of the three greatest Hindu deities, Lord Brahma dominates the first position, that of the
creator. As creator of all things, Brahma must have people of his own flesh; the most significant one,
Goddess Saraswathy, consort and daughter of Brahma. Besides Saraswathy, there are four sages that
roam the universe as Brahma s first mind born creations and sons; Sanaka, Sanatana, Sananadana and
Sanatkumara. The four Kumaras were the only sons born out of Brahma s mind rather than his body
and were the only ones who refused his order to procreate, therefore devoted themselves to Vishnu
and celibacy. Brahma then went on to creating ten sons (Prajapatis) from his mind, who are
acknowledged as the fathers of the human race.
Lord Brahma s birth story is unique in its setting. He is said to have been born from Vishnu s navel
through the lotus flower. After the great flood, Vishnu summoned his creative powers and formed
earth in the shape of a lotus escalating from his navel. It is believed that Brahma developed from this
lotus, therefore having the lotus symbolize his birth. Brahma then

just kill yourself . Dennis ignored the student s whisper and sits in his seat alone and wondered when
he will stop hearing the noise. He was a positive person, but knew something had to be done in order

When I Have Managed To Make My Wife Summary
The author begins the story with a line that sets the entire story. The first line of the story is, The truth
of the matter is: I have managed to make my wife very, very small. The narrator goes on to explain it
was not intentional and the miniaturization was an accident. The author then has the narrator give
background information and explain the story of what happens to his wife and himself. The story ends
with the extreme measures the miniature wife has taken upon herself to torture the narrator. The
miniature wife sets trip wires throughout the home and sticks tiny spears in the carpet. The first scenes
of the story are about the wife and the miniaturization. The next scenes following explain how upset
the wife is with her current state. She does things to the narrator that mess with his appearance by
dulling his razors and removing the buttons on his clothes. The narrator keeps issues to himself
because he doesn t want to lose his job or there be a police investigation. The narrator then makes a

I thought this story was very ambitious. It reminded me of an old movie called Honey I Shrunk The
Kids. The process of making a human the size of a coffee mug is rather far off, I enjoyed the humor
the author added. The things that the wife would do to the husband I felt sorry for him, but at the same
time they were such little things a miniature person would do if they were home all day and bored. I
think the wife did those things to the narrator because she blames him for what has happened to her.
The author on top of the ambitious story then has the wife cheat on her husband. This twist I was
surprised by; I thought there was going to be a happy ending between the two was they would
reconcile and perhaps the husband would shrink himself. I felt the author made the story grander by

The Influence Of Reality Television
Reality Television Educates Television has had an impact on our lives, bringing new information that
we probably haven t heard of before. It informs the viewers of lives of people who struggle with
themselves and shows the viewers how to solve them. Reality helps more people than does harm
because it educates on certain people s lives that need some educating on. These shows are improving
young audiences knowledge by spreading positive messages through blunt situations. For families, the
most viewed type of television is reality TV. The straight forward situations in the lives of the stars
show a perspective that presents a problem which is then solved by the end of the episode. When
people complain that there are fewer good tv shows for families to watch together, it s often assumed
that TV has become more vulgar and adult... TV has become more various and fragmented, it s
become more specific (James Poniewozik). Television has a certain group they want to target and that
has a message spreading positive awareness. Reality TV teaches the younger viewers on how to
handle life situations and the life of others that they might not know about. These messages inspire the
other party positively and develops more knowledge for the younger people. The spark of confidence

Theodore Roosevelt View On Imperialism
Theodore Roosevelt: I believe that America has a destiny to expand. Now that we have occupied all of
the continental United States, it is time to occupy other territories and gain new states around the
world. When we own places like this, especially near Asia, we will have much more opportunities to
expand our markets and grow our economy. Also, having ports throughout the Pacific Ocean will help
us create a strong naval force, which will give our great nation global power. Imperialism is the key to
a strong, honored country.
Mark Twain: I believe that Imperialism would make our nation strong in some ways, but weak in more
important others. It may give our nation global eminence in military and trade. However, it takes the
land belonging to native people, and creates a mode of self interest from it. In the treaty of Paris,
instead of civilizing the people of the Philippines and bringing them Christianity, it oppresses them,
conquers them, and kills them. There is no moral excuse for this conduct. America will be seen as
weak because, instead of honorably setting a people up for prosperity, it shuns, weakens, and destroys
them. Imperialism is the key to a controlling, tyrant country.
Theodore Roosevelt: Nonsense. America is destined to become a global power. If there is no other
way to do this except by oppressing another nation, it must be done. We must not let anything get in
the way of our rise to global recognition.
Mark Twain: What were the first

Stakeholder Salience
Introduction
Developing a relationship between and across organizations and its stakeholders can be
counterproductive and interdependent to decision making. Globalization effects stakeholder s coalition
building and salience in organizations. It is known as an ongoing process or interrelated events of
increasing movement of services, goods, and capital across national borders (Lawrence Weber 2011).
Stakeholders across organizations build coalitions as a means of increasing salience. Globalization has

Implementing and integrating this action plan could lead to a social and economic benefit with their
mission, while collaborating and working together could potentially and successfully increase and
fulfill intended goals.
For example when a particular stakeholder group demand urgent attention to a specific issue, the
importance of the group creates managerial action and creates high salience, which takes a leading
role in decision making toward corporate goals and social responsibility (Mishra Suar, 2010).
Furthermore, in order to achieve established corporate goals, best practice mitigation depends on the
understanding and decision making of the demand and supply chain as well as the interests of the
stakeholders. The success of corporate mitigation relies on the balancing of the wants and needs of the
salience groups.
Globalization affected stakeholder coalition building
Globalization can affect stakeholder coalition building either negatively or positively. Caughlin noted
that the level of communication from the overall result of a stakeholder or group of stakeholder s
significantly influence the relative power and conviction for a particular outcome which will greatly
affect the costs of the decision making process as well as time (Caughlan, 2002). In building a

Effects Of Dutch Colonization On Indonesia
The age of exploration brought the Netherlands to colonize Indonesia for many decades. When the
Dutch first arrived in Indonesia, they made slow advances to different parts of Indonesia. At the time,
Indonesia was well known as the spice islands that many countries wanted to colonize. Because Dutch
colonization in Indonesia lasted a long time, it impacted Indonesia greatly and left many short and
long term effects. Although the Dutch impacted Indonesia greatly in many different ways, they left an
exceptional amount of marks in Indonesia s economy, politics, and religion at the time of their
colonization. The VOC took advantage of Indonesia s rich land which was suitable for the growth of

The Dutch created new systems, rules, and held power and control over the people of Indonesia. They
formed single organizations and traded across large areas before eventually becoming the main
political figure in the archipelago and replaced existing Indonesian politics. Rules and systems that
had been previously used by Indonesia were diminished and quickly taken over and changed by the
Dutch. The cultivation (culture) system was a system that impacted the Dutch and Indonesia
politically and economically for a long period of time. The Dutch would have each village submit a set
amount of resources as rent that benefitted them but was torture for Indonesians (encyclopedia

politics weren t effective and was often inhumane for the Indonesians. Their culture system was

the Dutch crown instead of the VOC (Indonesia Investments). Political choices made by the VOC

Religion Is A Spiritual Way Of Life
Religion is a spiritual way of life that tells you how to act in this life and ultimately affects life after
death. It is something that is completely faith based because there is no way to prove whether or not it
is real. It doesn t matter what religion you choose to follow; it is imperative to have an understanding
of other religions of the world. The knowledge of other religions gives you the understanding needed
to not be afraid of the unknown. A great example of this is after 9 11, our country was full of fear.
Anyone who looked like they were Muslim was a target of this fear. Most people were not educated
about the Islamic religion but if they had been they would have known that it did not condone
violence. It was an extremely radical group who did not represent the Muslims as a whole.

Pulse Ox Test
Did you know that heart abnormalities are the most common birth defect? I didn t, until a few weeks
ago. A Facebook friend posted a link to the Cora s Story blog and I casually clicked over to see what it
was about. Cora died suddenly in her mama s arms at just 5 days old from an undetected congenital
heart defect (CHD). I can t imagine suffering such a devastating loss, and I thank my lucky stars for
my kids healthy hearts. But Cora s mother Kristine has turned her pain into a wonderful mission in her
daughter s name: to raise awareness about CHD and how easily it can be detected. With Kristine and
Cora s help, hopefully more CHDs will be caught and treated early, saving babies and children s lives.
Another fact I learned from Cora is how easily many CHDs can be detected. A simple pulse oximetry
test (aka pulse ox ) done 24 48 hours after birth in conjunction with a newborn exam can detect a large
proportion of CHDs, with a low false positive rate. A pulse ox test is noninvasive and very simple: the

As I mentioned, the test is completely non invasive and hospitals already have the equipment. Portable
pulse ox readers are also available, which means both birth center and homebirth midwives could also
easily carry them. Kristine is working on Cora s behalf to get laws passed nationwide mandating a
pulse ox to be done on every newborn. I applaud her efforts and admire her strength at turning her
pain into an effort to save lives.
What can YOU do? Request this test for your own babies and tell the pregnant moms in your life to
request it when their babies are born. Pass this information on, and tell others to pass it on too. Write
your Congressman and your state representatives and tell them you want pulse ox testing to be
mandatory for all newborns. You might just save a baby s life.

INTRODUCTION
Monetary policy takes central part in discussions on how to promote low inflation and sustainable
growth in the economy. Monetary policy operates as a tool to reduce prices during inflation and
enhance growth in recession times. Its basic objective is improvement of price stability and
achievement of high employment levels in the economy. Thus monetary policy not only fosters
economic prosperity but also safeguards people s welfare.
An understanding of those mechanisms through which monetary policy affects economy is very
crucial for the successful undertaking of monetary policy. There exist a number of crucial channels
that have been identified in this context. These channels are;
1. Interest rate channel
2. Credit channels
 Bank lending channel
 Balance sheet channels
3. Exchange rate channel
4. Equities channels
 Tobin s q theory
 Wealth effects
These channels generally reinforce each other they all move aggregate expenditures in the same
direction. All channels serve to increase aggregate expenditures with expansionary monetary policy
and reduce aggregate expenditures with contractionary monetary policy. This paper seeks to explain

Learner Autonomy
What is Learner Autonomy and How Can It Be Fostered?
Dimitrios Thanasoulas
The Internet TESL Journal
2. What is Autonomy?
For a definition of autonomy, we might quote Holec (1981: 3, cited in Benson Voller, 1997: 1) who
describes it as the ability to take charge of one s learning . On a general note, the term autonomy has
come to be used in at least five ways (see Benson Voller, 1997: 2): for situations in which learners
study entirely on their own; for a set of skills which can be learned and applied in self directed
learning; for an inborn capacity which is suppressed by institutional education; for the exercise of
learners responsibility for their own learning; for the right of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This stands to reason, for most of the characteristics imputed to the autonomous learner encapsulate a
wide range of attributes not commonly associated with learners. For instance, Benn (1976, cited in
Candy, 1991: 102) likens the autonomous learner to one [w]hose life has a consistency that derives
from a coherent set of beliefs, values, and principles [and who engages in a] still continuing process of
criticism and re evaluation , while Rousseau ([1762] 1911, cited in Candy, 1991: 102) regards the
autonomous learner as someone who is obedient to a law that he prescribes to himself . Within the
context of education, though, there seem to be seven main attributes characterising autonomous
learners (see Omaggio, 1978, cited in Wenden, 1998: 41 42): 1. Autonomous learners have insights
into their learning styles and strategies; 2. take an active approach to the learning task at hand; 3. are
willing to take risks, i.e., to communicate in the target language at all costs; 4. are good guessers; 5.
attend to form as well as to content, that is, place importance on accuracy as well as appropriacy; 6.
develop the target language into a separate reference system and are willing to revise and reject
hypotheses and rules that do not apply; and 7. have a tolerant and outgoing approach to the target
language.

Anorexia Nervos A Psychological And Physical Causes And...
Every time you view your reflection in a mirror, the sight of your body horrifies you. You have
become so brainwashed to believe that your body is unacceptable, that you have formed an obsession
with being smaller. This is how people with eating disorders feel. According to the University of
Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) (2016), about one fifth of people with anorexia are related to at
least one person with the disorder. Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder with mainly adolescent
victims. Different studies have been able to identify some of the psychological and physical causes
and consequences of anorexia. Many people dismiss anorexia nervosa as a short lived adolescent
disorder, but most do not realize the disease s long lasting implications on health and how crucial it is
to seek treatment. The UMMC (2016) defines anorexia nervosa as, an emotional disorder that focuses
on food, but many researchers believe it is an attempt to deal with perfectionism and a desire to gain
control by strictly regulating food and weight . The McGill Journal of Medicine (2007) states that
some of the causes of anorexia are refusal to maintain adequate body weight and intense fear of
gaining weight. Other causes of anorexia have been identified as severe trauma, stress, abnormal
serotonin levels, an environment that promotes thin body image, want for perfectionism, and family
history of eating disorders (UMMC, 2016). It is no surprise that the body image that society portrays

their style of play. It consists of a collection of nodes, with edges joining them that are weighted
depending on how frequent a path is used. In football, the nodes represent the players of a team, the
edges will be the passes between them and the weight will be the amount of passes between them. We

The PageRank algorithm gives more weight to a link if it comes from a high ranking page. In terms of
football this means a pass from a popular player is more valuable than a pass from a player who is
hardly involved in the game. Player s statistics constantly change throughout the game and the
PageRank score of a player depends on the score of his teammates so all scores must be computed at
the same time and the algorithm is only finished once the game has ended. In summary, PageRank
algorithm roughly assigns to each player the probability that he will have the ball after a reasonable
number of passes have been made. [8]
Mathematical Background
One way to analyse players position is closeness centrality, which is defined as the inverse geodesic
distance of a node in the network [1]:
(1)
Where Aij is the total amount of passes from player i to j. This formula uses incoming and outgoing
passes as equal measure. This will show how well connected the players are to each other.
Another way is betweenness centrality, which measures the extent to which a node lies on paths
between other nodes[2]:
(2)
Where is the number of geodesic paths from j to k going through i and is the total number of geodesic
paths.
The PageRank algorithm can be defined by: (3)
Where = is the total number of passes made by player , is a heuristic parameter that represents the
probability of the player keeping the

The Scarcity Of Water Crisis
The water crisis has been known in the world for many years now, but as time goes on people have not
realized the greater effect this has had on the world. Most people who know about the crisis do not
know the regions it affects and frankly seem to not care unless it affects them directly. The shortages
of water have led to health concerns and money problems in many countries. Both of these factors
correlate because if health problems go up so does the economic issue. India has been one of the
regions hit badly with the recent depletion of water. It has many small cities that people have never
heard about, that suffer much greater than this country as a whole. The overpopulation in India is not
helping solve the scarcity of water and with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rural cities in India, for example in Chennai, suffer from clean and properly treated water, although
the government may be helping a little. Factual evidence states, although piped water facility in the
rural regions almost doubled in past two decades, there are still 171 million people in rural regions
who use surface water as the primary source of water (Kuberan 3). Water shortages are a far bigger
concern and if that many people suffer in small city, what about the rest of the country? Although
many rural cities do have water filter systems, the growing population is not supported by the amount
of water and they have to settle to different time zones to get water. One city may not get water until
midnight while another only gets it at 8 am. As stated in a poll, Water supply timing was the biggest
challenge faced by the majority (94%) of the people (Kuberan 3). The timings of the water can make it
harder to survive because some people may need water during the day but may only get it at night.
The lack of any water in India is a major reason that India, compared to many countries is suffering
the most.
In addition to not getting any water, India suffers from commercialization and privatization of water
companies that are trying to make more of a profit on an already low income country. Many
companies are trying to set water at price to

Rhetorical Devices Used in Queen Elizabeth s Speech
Through her speech, Queen Elizabeth inspired her people to fight for the country of England against
the Spaniards. Queen Elizabeth persuaded the English troops to defend their country with rhetoric
devices such as diction, imagery, and sentence structure to raise their morale and gain loyalty as a
woman in power.
Queen Elizabeth skillfully used diction throughout her speech to motivate the troops. In the speech,
Queen Elizabeth used the word we four times to underscore her feeling of unity between her and her
country. She conveyed her care about the welfare of everyone in the country. This inspired the soldiers
to remain patriotic and want to fight for their nation. In addition, the queen refered to the soldiers as
noble and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The whole phrase justified that she is, in fact, a strong leader, both politically and militaristically
regardless of her being a woman. This phrase would help the queen gain respect from the soldiers who
may not have respected her high position before because of her gender. In the same sentence, Queen
Elizabeth uses a hyperbole to describe how much she cared for her country of England. She said, I
myself will take up arms . She, of course, had no intent to physically engage in the war along with the
troops, but she was trying to depict the image of herself to the soldiers saying that she was willing to
do anything for the sake of England. This convinced the troops that they should do the same. The
queen s excellent use of imagery instilled respect for herself from the troops and inspired them to go
to war.
Queen Elizabeth expertly used sentence structure to instill confidence in the troops to fight the
Spaniards and gain trust. In the speech, the queen used parallel structure to compare herself to a king,
or man in power. She said that she has the body of a weak and feeble woman, but a strong heart of a
king. The usage of parallel structure brought to light that even though she may not be physically able,
she still cared about the well being of her people just as a king would. She conveyed the message that
the people s respect towards her should be no different than that directed towards a king. In addition,
Queen Elizabeth

  • 2. Essay On DPT Vaccination A 1992 study published in The American Journal of Epidemiology shows that children die at a rate 8 times greater than normal within three days after getting a DPT vaccination. A preliminary study by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) found children who received the HiB vaccine ... were found to be 5 times more likely to contract the disease than children who had not received the vaccine. In the New England Journal of Medicine July 1994 issue a study found that over 80% of children under 5 years of age who had contracted whooping cough had been fully vaccinated. In 1977 Dr Jonas Salk (inventor of the Salk polio vaccine) testified with other scientists that 87% of the polio cases which occurred in the US since 1970 were the by product of ... If one would ask these sensible questions, one would become very enlightened about vaccine production. I warn you now, discussing vaccine production will turn your stomach. Vaccines are made from the most vilest and filthiest substances on the earth. Since the definition of abomination is anything that is filthy , the term describes vaccinations adequately and truthfully. The vaccine cauldron is full of putrid junk from bodies exposed to disease and excreting morbid purulence. Science gathers this junk up in hopes of making vaccines for preventing disease; and we are being fooled while vaccinations cause increases in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

People all over the world access the Internet, and when private information is posted online one person is going to be able to view that information no matter the privacy setting a person may use. Galai s photo went international when he posted the picture of himself yawning. This is why people have to be careful when posting things on the Internet, to protect their own privacy. In addition the protecting ourselves, having more privacy can protect the rights of other individuals. Kadish asks herself If your face isn t private property, what is? (Kadish 262). The show of loyalty proves Burton s message of identity. This message is also showcased in the movie Miss Peregrine s Home for Peculiar Children. Basically, all of the Peculiars are the outcasts of the film. When Jake first enters the loop and meets Miss Peregrine, she says a quote that beautifully supports the message. As Miss Peregrine explains to Jake what Peculiars are, she says, We are what s known in common towns as peculiar. Because our abilities don t fit in the outside world, we live in places like this where no one can find us. Miss Peregrine. This quote helps to show the audience that the misfits couldn t fit in, but as the movie continues, the peculiars prove themselves as brave, merciful people with strong characters. In contrast, the times we do get to see the townspeople, they seem to be reckless, moody, unstable people. The words both sets of characters say shows just how different they are and just how much of a good thing being an outcast can be. The contrasting settings between the two main different places also helps to accent the difference between individuality and conformity. The body temperature is controlled by the thermoregulatory centre in the hypothalamus. The temperature regulating centers are discovered in the preoptic area situated in the anterior portion of the hypothalamus. The function of this area is to receive information from temperature receptors located in the skin, mucous membranes and also from the central thermoreceptors that monitor the temperature of blood that pass through the brain. The hypothalamic thermostat works with other areas of the brain to maintain the core temperature. When human facing cold weather, our skin temperature drops. This stimulates skin cold receptors. This afternoon on the poetry network live we examine two famous pieces on war from different eras, these pieces are The Charge of the Light Brigade by Lord Alfred Tennyson and The Fool Rings His Bell by Walter de la Mare. The purpose of this afternoons show is to answer the question of how does the context of production influence the nature of poetry? When it comes to poetry war is an often reoccurring theme. Many poems have been written in times of crisis when literal expression is the only way to make meaning of the madness. It is common to find people who are omnivores in our country and rare to find a vegan. The vegan lifestyle is the only way that we can save this planet. Usually, if you are eating dinner and someone mentions the animal that you are eating, when it was living, another person at the table freaks out because they do not want to think of that. We disassociate ourselves with the actual living animal that has suffered huge amounts on our plates because we see ourselves as animal lovers who are against inhumane torture and killing of animals. You can not classify yourself as an animal lover if you consume an animal or their product because you are still supporting their demise. Why? Because the taste pleases us. That is all. We are disgusted by people who torture and hurt animals for pleasure. For example, people disassociate themselves from the Philadelphia Eagles NFL team due to the actions of the player Michael Vick. Vick ran a dog fighting ring and bet on dogs to kill one another. Why? For no other reason than the fact that it pleased him. • 24. Mozart K331 Analysis Essay example Analysis of W. A. Mozart s Piano Sonata in A Major, K. 331: First Movement Classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born to Leopold and Anna Maria Mozart in 1756 in Salzburg, Austria (then the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation). Mozart showed promise in music from an early age, prompting his father to assume the role as his instructor. His father described his son as a gift from God, and Leopold nurtured Wolfgang s talents as such. Mozart would eventually travel throughout Europe with his musical family; however, it was in Salzburg that he would compose three piano sonatas in 1783. These pieces were most likely composed for Mozart s pupils in Vienna, who were a significant source of income for him at the time. This paper ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fig. 1: First Movement, mm. 1 18. The tender melody Mozart presents in these first 18 bars is simple, with a lot of stepwise motion and small leaps. Adhering to classical style, he uses chords built on diatonic pitches and resolves dissonances quickly. Pairing a simple homophonic melody with simple accompaniment makes it easier to manipulate the theme in the coming variations. In Fig. 1, you ll notice that the middle voice barely moves at all. In fact, it isn t until measure 9 that we start seeing strong beats without an E in them. Also, the long short (quarter eighth/dotted eighth sixteenth) motive remains constant until it too develops at measure 9. All of these techniques for a simple theme help Mozart develop his idea later. In the first variation, Mozart agitates the theme with the use of chromatic approaches and chromatic passing tones. Between the left and right hands, we hear an unrelenting series of sixteenth notes. Mozart also incorporates more use of dynamics than he did in the theme, by composing contrasting piano and forte sections. This drastic dynamic change happens in the A section of the variation. In variation II, another insistent figure is introduced: this time, triplet sixteenth notes. The melody in the right hand starts out very ornamented. Mozart then puts each melody note at the start of a flowing downward triplet arpeggio. The left hand emphasizes the strong beat throughout these triplets, and then the melody returns in the original ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Last Supper The Last Supper Research Essay The Last Supper is a religious scene in the Catholic bible, which tells the story of the last meal the night before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. An important role in its religion, the Last Supper scene has been recreated by artists many times. These visual interpretations of the event generally show Jesus, surrounded by his disciples. During the meal, Jesus breaks the bread and serves the wine accompanied with the command Take this all of you and eat it... this is my body... do this in remembrance of me . In contrast to the physical reaction of the disciples, Jesus is calm with a peaceful equilibrium and a dignified strength. He sits with his palms upturned to form a triangle with his arms and head, which again refers to the number three symbolising the Holy Trinity. By choosing this part of the story; he also chooses to leave out the bread and the wine normally sitting on the table in visuals of the Last Supper. Leonardo s version is also the first to have Judas sitting on the same side of the table as Jesus. Judas is identifiable by the symbols employed by Leonardo, such as the money bag clutched tightly in Judas hand and the difference in his gesture and facial expression to the other disciples. Although this painting breaks conventions, the realism used by Leonardo helped the paintings function of conveying a true story to its audience to inspire them to be more faithful. Perceptions of this artwork will have changed over time, as today s audience is far less religious and would therefore be more likely to see The Last Supper as an aesthetic piece of artwork rather than a narrative of a biblical story or connection to God. After the ride and fall of High Renaissance came the style known as Mannerism. This style involved developing artist individual style, artificial, aesthetically fantastic images and breaking away from tradition including Renaissance. Mannerism was inspired by the ... If you ask the spectators of the show what they think about Shonda Rhimes and her decisions in regards to her show, their first response might be that Shonda Rhimes might just be the most heartless and evil woman on this earth. Grey s Anatomy involves real life situations in which people (in this case the actors) have to learn to trust one another and ask them for help and support. The unity that is shown most of the time on the show is heartwarming. From season to season the viewers are taken into an emotional rollercoaster in which we never see what s coming next. Every episode for the most part may be argued to follow the same sequence in which it starts normal and then BOOM something happens and everyone or at least the ones involve put on their gear and work together to solve it and it s those moments that grab the audience s full attention. The bonds created between the characters make it seem for everyone to have that happiness, loyalty, love and more in their lives. The meaning of friendship, love and family are constantly being questioned but until now they have been able to overcome any obstacle put on their way. • 27. Lord Brahm The Father Of Hindu Gods And God Brahma, the father of Hindu gods and men, is depicted as the creator of the universe. He is the first member of the Hindu Trinity and ruler of all. Brahma is acknowledged as the creator as he periodically creates everything in the universe, periodically due to the Hindu cyclical belief of everything being created for a certain period of time and destroyed only to be renewed in a new form once again. Of the three greatest Hindu deities, Lord Brahma dominates the first position, that of the creator. As creator of all things, Brahma must have people of his own flesh; the most significant one, Goddess Saraswathy, consort and daughter of Brahma. Besides Saraswathy, there are four sages that roam the universe as Brahma s first mind born creations and sons; Sanaka, Sanatana, Sananadana and Sanatkumara. The four Kumaras were the only sons born out of Brahma s mind rather than his body and were the only ones who refused his order to procreate, therefore devoted themselves to Vishnu and celibacy. Brahma then went on to creating ten sons (Prajapatis) from his mind, who are acknowledged as the fathers of the human race. Lord Brahma s birth story is unique in its setting. He is said to have been born from Vishnu s navel through the lotus flower. After the great flood, Vishnu summoned his creative powers and formed earth in the shape of a lotus escalating from his navel. It is believed that Brahma developed from this lotus, therefore having the lotus symbolize his birth. Brahma then ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Now that we have occupied all of the continental United States, it is time to occupy other territories and gain new states around the world. When we own places like this, especially near Asia, we will have much more opportunities to expand our markets and grow our economy. Also, having ports throughout the Pacific Ocean will help us create a strong naval force, which will give our great nation global power. Imperialism is the key to a strong, honored country. Mark Twain: I believe that Imperialism would make our nation strong in some ways, but weak in more important others. It may give our nation global eminence in military and trade. However, it takes the land belonging to native people, and creates a mode of self interest from it. In the treaty of Paris, instead of civilizing the people of the Philippines and bringing them Christianity, it oppresses them, conquers them, and kills them. There is no moral excuse for this conduct. America will be seen as weak because, instead of honorably setting a people up for prosperity, it shuns, weakens, and destroys them. Imperialism is the key to a controlling, tyrant country. Theodore Roosevelt: Nonsense. America is destined to become a global power. You have become so brainwashed to believe that your body is unacceptable, that you have formed an obsession with being smaller. This is how people with eating disorders feel. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) (2016), about one fifth of people with anorexia are related to at least one person with the disorder. Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder with mainly adolescent victims. Different studies have been able to identify some of the psychological and physical causes and consequences of anorexia. Many people dismiss anorexia nervosa as a short lived adolescent disorder, but most do not realize the disease s long lasting implications on health and how crucial it is to seek treatment. The UMMC (2016) defines anorexia nervosa as, an emotional disorder that focuses on food, but many researchers believe it is an attempt to deal with perfectionism and a desire to gain control by strictly regulating food and weight . The McGill Journal of Medicine (2007) states that some of the causes of anorexia are refusal to maintain adequate body weight and intense fear of gaining weight. Other causes of anorexia have been identified as severe trauma, stress, abnormal serotonin levels, an environment that promotes thin body image, want for perfectionism, and family history of eating disorders (UMMC, 2016). Introduction Network theory is becoming more and more used within football to help teams analyse and change their style of play. In football, the nodes represent the players of a team, the edges will be the passes between them and the weight will be the amount of passes between them. We will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The PageRank algorithm gives more weight to a link if it comes from a high ranking page. In terms of football this means a pass from a popular player is more valuable than a pass from a player who is hardly involved in the game. Player s statistics constantly change throughout the game and the PageRank score of a player depends on the score of his teammates so all scores must be computed at the same time and the algorithm is only finished once the game has ended. In summary, PageRank algorithm roughly assigns to each player the probability that he will have the ball after a reasonable number of passes have been made. [8] Mathematical Background One way to analyse players position is closeness centrality, which is defined as the inverse geodesic distance of a node in the network [1]: (1) Where Aij is the total amount of passes from player i to j. This formula uses incoming and outgoing passes as equal measure. This will show how well connected the players are to each other. Another way is betweenness centrality, which measures the extent to which a node lies on paths between other nodes[2]: (2) Where is the number of geodesic paths from j to k going through i and is the total number of geodesic paths. Water shortages are a far bigger concern and if that many people suffer in small city, what about the rest of the country? Although many rural cities do have water filter systems, the growing population is not supported by the amount of water and they have to settle to different time zones to get water.
