Narcissism In Romantic Relationships
Introduction
Most people envision someone in particular when hearing the word narcissist , yet not as many people
would think of themselves. When you have a narcissistic personality disorder, you may not want to
think that anything could be wrong because doing so wouldn t fit with your self image of power and
perfection (Mayo Clinic, 20140). Today, narcissism is viewed in a low light, which is why even
narcissists wouldn t openly want to admit they are narcissistic. Narcissism has been studied in
communication research, especially regarding narcissism and relationships. Although narcissism tends
to be looked down upon, studies have shown that there are positives associated with people who
possess this trait, both in their personal lives and in romantic relationships.
The purpose of this literature review is to study what is known about narcissism in relationships, the
bright side of narcissists and how they can contribute to society, and topics for future research. There
has been a vast amount of research conducted on narcissism in relationships, mostly highlighting this
trait being linked to conflict, anger, unrequited love, and infidelity and commitment issues. Some
research underlines positive outcomes associated with narcissism such as motivation to volunteer, and
unquestionable trust in romantic partners. In this literature review I will discuss current research on
this topic. I will first explain the background of narcissism and define the disorder. Next, I will

Five Theories Of Virtue Ethics
Virtue Ethics
All along the history of man, there has been that big question of who or what determines what is
moral. Ethics started to take shape when man began to question his actions and the reasons
surrounding those actions. Am I doing the right thing? How do I know if it is the right? In a bid to
explain the different ways in which individuals view morality, ethical theories evolved. There are five
main theories; Intuitionism, Consequentialism, Deontological theory, Virtue ethics and Natural law.
For the sake of this discussion, I will be focusing on Virtue Ethics. According to Aristotle, a virtue is a
trait of mind and character that helps us achieve a good life . (Routledge, ND) Aristotle, like his
predecessors, Socrates and Plato, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It assumes that it is by being virtuous that one acts morally thereby becoming better members of the
society. This is because one is not prompted merely by duty to the state to do good but by virtues
which makes his good actions innate. For instance, a student reporting a bully to the school not out of
duty to the school but because of her abhorrence for injustice. Aristotle believed that it is by acting in
the right way over and over again that one becomes virtuous. For instance, it is by an individual s
ability to make wise decisions that makes him prudent. If every individual is striving to do what is
considered to be the right thing, the society becomes a better place. Who is a virtuous person? This is
a question we should all ask ourselves. Aristotle identified virtues based on the characters appreciated
by his society that time and studied the ways in which they could be acquired and improved.
Therefore, it right to say that the term virtuous varies from society to society according to different
cultures. For instance, if one is considered virtuous in Ogun state, this does not mean that that same
person will be considered virtuous in Imo state because both cultures differ. This simply means that
virtue ethics is not

A Brief Note On Down The Drain It Goes
Down the Drain it Goes We have come to the conclusion that there is no more fresh water on the earth
and that there is no potable water, says a news reporter. The earth could eventually end up like this.
How much of the earth contains freshwater? Will the earth ever run out of water? If so, how long from
now will we run out of water? What effects could this cause? All of these questions are ones that
interest me greatly and that I would like to know the answers to. After taking an environmental
science class in high school, I already had some prior knowledge on some areas of this topic. This
knowledge includes learning about how much water there is on the earth. The part of the earth that is
water is known as the hydrosphere and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Likewise, I often hear about the topics of water scarcity on the news and in articles and they bring up
countries having water issues, so it encouraged me to find out more about the topic and to hopefully
get my questions answered. While having many tools available for me to find secondary research for
my topic, the easiest and closest source was my school s library database. On my school s library
website, there is a search generator for looking up articles, books, journals, and anything you can read.
This database was very helpful when it came to looking for secondary resources. All I needed to do
was type in a few key words, and then read through the options that were given to me based on what I
was looking for. After researching and looking through the data, I found some great articles about my
topic on the fresh water on earth. However, I did have to search a few different key words and
questions to find exactly what I was looking for. I explored things such as water scarcity, fresh water
on earth, will the earth run out of water?, and how long from now will the earth run out of water?. All
of these searches led to many different articles which then became my secondary sources which I
could use to help answer my questions. I had to read through more than three articles, even though I
needed at least three articles, to decide which ones seemed the most reliable and well written. My first

Long And Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum
Cells can be traced back to the basic structure of life. Cells make up all organisms such as, plants, the
human body and fungi. There are different types of cells. The thing that differentiates Eukaryotic cells,
which are animal and plant cells from Prokaryotic cells is the membranous organelles that are in the
cytoplasm and chromosome proteins. The Eukaryotic cell nucleus contains most of the genetic
material and controls all activity. mRNA translation happens in the ribosomes which carries out
protein synthesis of the cell, while DNA replication occurs at the nucleus. Ribosomes are critical for
protein assembly which is important for cellular functions. Also, there is endoplasmic reticulum, it has
2 type: rough and smooth. Smooth endoplasmic reticulum is responsible for metabolic processes and
lipid synthesis. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cell walls and cell membranes are responsible for regulating the entering and exiting of particles and
substance which maintains internal balance. The Golgi apparatus is responsible for transporting
vesicles delivered from the smooth endoplasmic reticulum. Chloroplasts are found in plant cells only
and utilize sunlight to create energy using a method called photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is when
plants use water, sunlight and carbon dioxide to create energy in the form of glucose for plant cells.
Mitochondria are in both animal and plant cells. Mitochondria are the sites of cellular respiration that
creates ATP used by the cell as energy. Lysosomes are digestive organelles which break down
macromolecules in the cell through hydrolysis. In order for a cell to survive it needs particular
isolation from its environment, this is done via the plasma membrane, energy through ATP and cellular
respiration. The cell membrane is made up of the phospholipid

Hermeneutic Argument Against Transracialism
The topic of the event I attended refers to the hermeneutic argument against trans racialism the
speaker was Professor Tina Botts from the philosophy department. The beginning of the event was a
brief introduction of the speaker, Professor Botts she is a practiced attorney, teaches feminism,
attended the University of Memphis to obtain her Ph.D and has published two books. Dr. Botts
introduced the racial of identity, is arguing if transracial is real. She starts with background context
tracing back to child slavery how it was created to perpetuate plantation Capitalism. The ideology
behind blackness show white plantation owners viewed as inferiority therefore hereditary thus to
justify child slavery and therefore gaining profit of the unpaid labor. The point Botts was trying to

Court Observation Paper The court I attended was the court # 184, on October 25th 2015 at Harris
County Criminal Justice Court , located in downtown of Houston city. The Judge in charge was Jan
Krocker. It was an aggravated sexual assault of child case between The State of Texas vs. Samuel
Gallegos. As I entered the court, the trial has already commenced so I did not really know how a real
trial started. I sat in the back where the public sits, facing the judge bench. The courtroom was cold
and quiet. Especially it was very small, much smaller and less impressive than I expected.. Everyone
was in formal dressing code. There were just a few number of spectators and family members in the
court room. There was a clerk who was typing everything what was happening during the court time.
Judge Krocker appeared to have things under control and had the proceedings moving forward
smoothly. She was a very friendly lady with short blonde hair. She was listening attentively. She spoke
clearly and distinctly so that everyone in the courtroom could hear. Samuel Gallegos is a white man
about 5 8 tall. He looked quite nervous while some police officers were standing behind him. From
what I understood, this case was really happening back in 2014 and the suspect has criminal history
relating to assault of child and another related case to this case. On my left hand side were the bailiffs
while some others stood observed

Cangrelor, a potent intravenous, reversible, platelet P2Y12 inhibitor, was recently approved by both
the United States (U.S.) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicines Agency
(EMA) as an adjunct for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The approval was based on
Cangrelor versus Standard Therapy to Achieve Optimal Management of Platelet Inhibition
(CHAMPION) PHOENIX (1), a multi center, double dummy, double blind trial, which randomized
11,145 patients with stable angina, non ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome or ST segment
elevation myocardial infarction to receive cangrelor or clopidogrel at the time of PCI.
CHAMPION PHOENIX (1) demonstrated that cangrelor significantly reduced the rate of ischemic
events without increasing severe bleeding. In the original analysis, bleeding was site reported by the
blinded investigators according to pre specified definitions and was not adjudicated. While the EMA
accepted this approach, during FDA review, the sponsor and the FDA independently re evaluated
bleeding in a post hoc, non blinded manner. This evaluation included potential bleeding data not
necessarily captured on the bleeding case report form (CRF) by the investigator, and findings were
categorized and interpreted according to jointly agreed criteria based on previously published bleeding
classifications. For example, there was a field in the CRF called drop in hemoglobin or hematocrit ;

A Trip For A Cabin At Island Park
Anything that could injure me or cause any amount of pain whatsoever I avoid and learn to dislike,
promising myself that I will never do it again. I made that promise to myself one year ago at a cabin in
Island Park, but people assume that because you had fun doing something earlier that you will love
doing it again. Sadly, those people would be right. This year my priest quorum had been planning the
trip for a month before we even knew the date of the trip. When I had gone the year before, it had been
mostly enjoyable, besides the fact that I had no idea how to snowmobile; however, I hoped that it
would be better than the prior year. We: Kyle Mortenson, Josh Bingham, Wyatt Dansie, Kyle Davie,

I foresaw no fun in the video games, so I spent my time with the disgusting soda pong. It quickly
became apparent that there was a truly skilled player in the ways of soda pong among us. Kyle
Mortenson somehow never lost, most were only able to get a couple good throws in before we were
defeated. During the entire time, I was trying to record most of the matches so that I could post them
on YouTube. I was pointlessly commentating on how the in my iPod rounds progressed while
producing a novice job of keeping the small camera where it was supposed to be. In this corner, we
have the undefeated Kyle! In the other Daniel! Let s see how long Daniel actually lasts. It was
entertaining until I ran out of limited memory on my iPod forcing me to abandon my fruitless effort.
By the time that we were concluding soda pong, I brought my lightning reaction shocking game to the
table to play with anyone who was brave enough to try it. Wyatt, Josh, and Taber timidly stepped
forward to confront someone who never loses, me. Josh played the game before and said he would
never play it again, but peer pressure got the best of him. Josh and Taber got shocked multiple times
during the game until Wyatt got up the courage to shock himself purposely to see how it felt. It came
as no shock that he was surprised how it felt. Next, Daniel shocked himself, followed by almost
everyone else purposely shocking themselves. It goes to

A Background On Security Design Patterns Essay
In this section, we present a brief background on security design patterns and FCA. 2.1. Security
Design Patterns Christopher Alexander first introduced the concept of design patterns for use of living
spaces, in his book A Pattern Language , published in 1977 [3]. The concept of a pattern was adopted
by the software community in the book Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object Oriented
Software , published in 1994 whose authors Gamma, Helm, Johnson, and Vlissides are known as the
Gang of Four [4]. The first design patterns related to security were published by Yoder and Barcalow
in 1997 which described 7 design patterns. Subsequently, many design patterns and pattern catalogs
were published. Important contributions are by Romanosky [5], Kienzle et al. [6], Blakley and
members of the Open Group security Forum [7], Hafiz et al. [8,9] and the Microsoft Patterns and
Practices group [10,11]. In their book published in 2005, Schumacher and a working group of security
pattern experts, discussed 46 patterns [12]. Steel et al. [13] compiled a catalog of 23 core security
patterns for J2EE and web services. Dougherty et al., at the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering
Institute, described 15 design patterns in their guide to Secure Design Patterns [14]. Fernandez
presented 68 design patterns in the book Security Patterns in Practice: Designing Secure Architectures
Using Software Patterns [15]. Today the total number of security design patterns is around 400

Summary Of The Watchmaker Argument By William Paley
The Watchmaker Argument by William Paley has been of great controversy because of its analogy
between the creation of a watch and the creation of the universe. Paley s argument consists of the idea
of there being a creator for everything, he uses the complicated composition of a watch as to prove
that there has to be a watchmaker and therefore the complicated composition of the universe serves as
to prove that there is in fact a Universe creator (God). Although Paley s argument is strong and valid,
David Hume s opposing argument is more valid due to the premises he uses. Hume argues that it is
impossible to compare something created by the human mind to something as complex as the universe
simply because there is a lot about the creation of the universe that is unknown, unlike the creation of
a house (or watch).
William Paley uses the invention of a watch as an analogy to the invention of the universe. He argues
that if we observe the very complicated and detailed design of the universe we can see that there was
in fact a maker. Paley argues that the complicated structure of a watch is enough prove that there was a
watch maker just like the complicated structure of the universe is prove enough to show that there is
universe maker. He also shows that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

design in which it was, he argues that this is not a relevant factor as to whether or not there is a creator

Case Study Recommendations For Starbucks
Recommendations Since starting its business operations in 1971 Starbucks has worked its way up to
becoming the global leader within the specialty coffee industry and has revolutionized not only this
sector, but the entire coffee culture. However, through rising competition and increasing criticism
within the media and public, Starbucks has to re think its position and further growth. The corporation
still has various opportunities to expand and improve its business, and should take actions in order to
defend its position. Rapid global expansion and entering new markets has been a major driver for
Starbucks success. However, customers become increasingly worried that through the quick growth
the corporation is loosing track of its unique customer selling point and the popular Starbucks
Experience. Especially emerging markets such as Brazil, India, and South Africa are showing great
growth potential through an increasing population within their middle classes, as well as a growing
economy and disposable income. The corporation has already entered these markets and established

Othello’s Themeland
Othello s Themeland
Built on a broad base of multiple themes, Othello is one of William Shakespeare s most popular
tragedies. Let s sift through the themes and try to rank them in significance.
In the Introduction to The Folger Library General Reader s Shakespeare, Louis B. Wright and Virginia
A. LaMar consider the arch villainy of the ancient to be the most potent theme:
Othello has been described as Shakespeare s most perfect play. Critics of dramatic structure have
praised it for its attention to the main theme without irrelevant distractions. Many Elizabethan plays
had rambling subplots and much extraneous detail to amuse the groundlings. Othello avoids all
irrelevancies and the action moves swiftly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Heilman discusses the ancient s instinctive reaction to the love theme of the play:
Before coming directly to the forming of the love theme that differentiates Othello from other
Shakespeare plays that utilize the same theme, I turn arbitrarily to Iago to inspect a distinguishing
mark of his of which the relevance to thematic form in the play will appear a little later. When Iago
with unperceived scoffing reminds Roderigo, who is drawn with merciless attraction to the
unreachable Desdemona, that love effects an unwonted nobility in men, he states a doctrine which he
knows is true but in which he may not believe. Ennoblement by love is a real possibility in men, but
Iago has to view it with bitterness and to try to undermine it. (333 34)
The theme of hate is the theme on which the play opens. Lily B. Campbell in Shakespeare s Tragic
Heroes indicates this hate in the opening scene:
It is then on a theme of hate that the play opens. It is a hate of inveterate anger. It is a hate that is
bound up with envy. Othello has preferred to be his lieutenant a military theorist, one Michael Cassio,
over the experienced soldier Iago, to whom has fallen instead the post of his Moorship s ancient .
Roderigo questions Iago:
Thou told st me thou didst hold him in thy hate.
And the reply is a torrent of proof of the hatred for Othello that has almost exceeded the envy of
Cassio

The Cold War represents the disputes between the Soviet Union and the United States, and may be the

The United States was worried that the Soviet Union would extend communism throughout Europe

make recommendations for the future management of blizzards.
1.2 Background
A blizzard is a type of atmospheric hazard and is a long lasting snow storm with intense snowfall and
strong winds. For a blizzard to form, warm air rising and moister is needed to create clouds for
precipitation to occur. As wind moves across a body of water (ocean, lake), some of the water
evaporates, putting water vapour into the air. Warm air rises over cold air by winds pulling the cold air

New Belgium Brewing Company Essay
Belgium is known for a culture of high quality beer and this concept was formulated by an electrical
engineer from Fort Collins, Colorado. The electrical engineer, Jeff Lebesch, was traveling through
Belgium on his fat tired mountain bike when he envisioned the same high quality beer in Colorado.
Lebesch acquired the special strain of yeast used in Belgium and took it back to his basement in
Colorado and the experimentation process was initiated. His friends were the samplers and when they
approved the beer it was marketed. In 1991, Lebesch opened the New Belgium Brewing Company
(NBB) with his wife, Kim Jordan, as the marketing director. The first beer and continued bestseller,

expert in branding. Holt and Owsley outlined a paper to describe the brand identity, character, culture
and promise at NBB. Holt determined the brand identity for NBB as a culture that practiced creative
activities for the pleasure of doing them well and in accord with the natural environment. Second,
there was a key fact in promotion. In the beginning, NBB used word of mouth, but recognized a need
to reach more customers. They increased the awareness of the NBB product by attending festivals to
give out samples of the beer and created a sales team throughout the territories of distribution. NBB
found an advertising agency in New York, Amalgamated, to communicate the brand identity. The
advertising campaign was created to target men that were sophisticated beer drinkers between the ages
of twenty five to forty four with the image of being practical. The ad focuses on presenting the
organizational image of being down to earth by positioning the brand as fanciful, thoughtful and
insightful.
Third, there was a key fact of the internal environment. Before NBB was marketed, Lebesch and his
wife established the core values and beliefs that led to a culture that is ethical, environmentally
concerned and socially responsible. NBB is dedicated to the employees, customers and environment

Nurse Educator
Overall the nurse educator can have a huge impact on decreasing LV. Nurse educators can provide a
safe learning environment that challenge and prepare students for their transition into their new role as
a nurse (Thomas, Bertram, Allen, 2012). Through the clinical practice environment it provides the
opportunity for students to practice learned skills and apply this knowledge when the student begins
their practice as a nurse in the workplace.
Nurse Managers (NM) are also an important component of decreasing LV in the workplace. It is
important that leadership refuse to tolerate LV (Major, Abderrahman, Alvarez, Sweeney, 2013). The
NM needs to address any incidences of LV immediately. It is suggested the NM engage the employees
in a crucial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The NM needs to bring it out in the open so it can be discussed and addressed (Koch, 2012). Engage
the staff by providing education on LV and how to stop it. Use the team approach to set the
expectations for interactions and hold staff accountable on their performance appraisals. Coach the
staff on the necessary skills such as cognitive rehearsal to stop LV. In cognitive rehearsal the person
who is on the receiving end of LV uses this technique to stop, stay calm, and think about what was
said and not personalize the behavior. Once the person has stopped and thought through what was said
the nurse can then respond calmly to help defuse the situation. Addressing the behavior when it
happens has a bigger impact on stopping the behavior (Griffin Clark, 2014).
For the individual almost all the articles write about the importance of educating nursing staff about
LV. Nurses should learn to recognize it and confront it. Role model acceptable behavior and be the

Music Therapy And Its Effectiveness
Musical therapy is a precise, evidence based use of music to help accomplish certain goals or
objectives in a therapeutic setting. Research in music therapy supports its effectiveness in many areas
such as: overall physical rehabilitation, increasing people s motivation to become more involved in
their treatment, giving emotional support for clients and their families, and providing an way for
expression of their feelings to others. Musical therapy in a more detailed descriptions is an established
health profession in which music is used within a therapeutic setting to address physical, emotional,

Geelie Case Analysis
Dear Mr. Li,
Given the recent objective of Geeli becoming the world s biggest air conditioner manufacture within
the next five years for which Geeli needs to raise $400 million (RMB 3.35 billion), I have looked into
these areas based on the information available:
1. Current Company Position
2. Current Industry Position
3. Financing options
4. Recommendations
Current Company Position
Geeli has gained substantial market share of this industry under your leadership over the last decade.
With Geeli s present book assets approaching $400 million Geeli has enjoyed a steady growth in it s
revenue and stable cash flows. Additionally, the Geeli brand is valued at $350 million by the State
Finance Bureau of China. Given this brand recognition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

High level of secrecy
Option of choosing investors who are aligned with the company Lack of suitable investors

Lack of funds
Little recognition than other public offerings
Debt Options
When China joined the WTO in 2001, its banking sector was in a very weak state, troubled by a
serious non performing loans (NPLs) problem. Thus, numerous measures like a large sum of
government funds (roughly 20% of China s GDP in 2004) have been provided to resolve the NPLs
problems. Since 2003, China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) was established to strengthen
bank regulation and this has improved performance due to foreign competitors, lower transaction cost
easy administrative procedure for obtaining the loan with added tax saving. While Geeli has limited
debt on its balance sheet there are still drawbacks with these options as emphasized below:

Use of Rhetoric in Nickel and Dimed
Why Should We Care
In her expose, Nickel and Dime, Barbara Ehrenreich shares her experience of what it is like for
unskilled women to be forced to be put into the labor market after the welfare reform that was going
on in 1998. Ehrenreich wanted to capture her experience by retelling her method of uncover
journalism in a chronological order type of presentation of events that took place during her endeavor.
Her methodologies and actions were some what not orthodox in practice. This was not to be a social
experiment that was to recreate a poverty social scenario, but it was to in fact see if she could maintain
a lifestyle working low wage paying jobs the way 4 million women were about to experience it.
Although Ehrenreich makes good ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most low wage workers do not have this luxury. They generally work pay check to pay check and don
t have time to save up to stash extra money for later. She learns this through her co workers as she
investigates into their lives and finds out that most of them live with multiple people, or within
parking lots. Most of Ehrenreich s co workers did not have a means of transportation other then public
transportation, or their transportation was their place of residency. Most lived in flophouses, shared
rooms, trailers, or hotel rooms. She also gave herself the luxury of being able to dip into her own
money that was saved up from her real job. She makes a friend with one of her co workers, Gail from
the Hearthside, and at the end of chapter one, after she leaves her job, she gives Gail her keys to her
apartment so she could move out of her flophouse that she pays $250 a week that she has been sharing
with someone. Like she said she was not trying to recreate poverty, but just experience it. She would
not let herself suffer by any means. She even went home to pick up cd s and drink a bottle of wine
after work. Now, this is where I feel that Barbara Ehrenreich actually makes a connection with her
audience. Her use of pathos, I feel, was the strongest argument that she could have made

The Pros And Cons Of Cinderella In Disney
Disney reigns supreme, and part of that supreme reign is an unquestionable privileging of patriarchy,
and in particular: whiteness. Beginning with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, all of Disney
s princesses have been predominantly white. As Walt Disney Company sets its position as a media
powerhouse, it places itself the center of controversy with its recent movie The Princess and the Frog.
The film is steeped in racial controversy since Disney first announced their plans for the first black
princess.
Disney came out with a black princess, and a controversy by critics came out along with it, and they
are not pleasant. Considering Disney has such a presence in the American mainstream culture, that
standard they create will stay. The real question is whether she vanquishes stereotypes of promotes
them.
Without fail, everyone describes Cinderella as Disney s 1950 animated blonde Cinderella. Participants
rarely visualize the African American pop singer and actor Brandy Norwood, who played the lead in
the 1997 televised version with its multicultural and interracial star studded cast. To date, participants

Divergent Argument Essay
Divergent is the acclaimed first book in the Divergent Trilogy. It focuses on our heroine, Beatrice Tris

that is supposed to prove where she belongs swiftly turns into the thing that could get her killed.

Dna And Therapy Of Abnormal Psychology
EORY AND THERAPY OF ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY
The biological model is most important in function of the human system. In psychotherapy, if we have
deficits with our biology, then we fix the deficient, inhibit the unwanted response or excite the wanted
response. As William DeMeyer, MD relates, all human behavior consists of secreting substances or
changing the length of muscle fibers.
Whatever the behavior, it originates from nerve impulses traveling through neural circuits.
Therefore, all behaviors and all thoughts depend on neuroanotomic circuits.
Through functional examination and testing, we have a very high probability to pinpoint where the
deficit is. Functional examinations consist of many types of testing to specify where a

This is interesting because in DeMeyers text he states on page 1 that: Disease that affect the

motor, or sensory symptoms and signs and abnormal body contours . Whether one is Professor
Emeritus of Pediatric Neurology at
Indiana University School of Medicine or a biological researcher or theorists, they both understand the
real underlying probable causes of most mental disease.
The question is whether or not deeply studied neuroanatomy and neurophysiology need be adept in a
clinician s ability to perform a correct differential diagnosis. The answer is no, at least not for the
majority of mental health clinicians. Most likely the highest percentage of patients will be either
suffering with depression or anxiety and these are well cared for by their general practitioner (M.D.)
or a psychologist. However, when the more difficult cases need be addressed, who shall take care of
these? In the instance of schizophrenia, Huntington s disease and other deeply rooted mental illness, a
skilled psychiatrist who possesses a thorough understanding of neurophysiology would be needed, as

Autism Spectrum Disorder And Autism
Autism Spectrum Disorder is defined as a neurodevelopmental condition that is classified by a triad of
impairments. These impairments are in communication, socialization, and repetitive patterns of
behavior (Wolf, 2004). Autism affects about 1% of the current population (Shishido, Branko, Norio,
2013). This disorder seems like a common diagnosis in the current day in age but the disorder was
only discovered around sixty years ago. The two founding researchers that discovered the disorder are
Kanner and Asperger. Since then there has been a significant amount of research on the disorder and
they have narrowed down the criteria associated with Autism. Since the discovery of Autism Spectrum
Disorder, there has been many debates on what causes this condition. When it was, a recent discovery
scientist thought it could have been caused by many factors including psychological conditions and
poor parenting. Now research has shifted in another direction (Wolf, 2004). In recent years, there has
been a debate if childhood vaccinations or genetic mutations cause the disorder. This debate has led
many parents to stop vaccinating their children in case it does cause the disorder. In 2010 (de los
Reyes) the immunization rates fell to 80%. These parents decisions greatly effects the nation s public
health so it has fueled even more research to find the cause. A very common vaccine that has been said
to cause the disorder is the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine or the MMR vaccine. This

Criminal Activities And Its Effect On Society
Criminal activities have always been a problem within society and has been becoming a bigger
problem as time goes by. Over the years crimes have been getting more violent and more common.
Gangs have always been involved in some type of criminal activity since being created, has gotten
worse over time and has hurt society in one way or another. All gangs have a history of crime behind
them. Hispanic Gangs turned dangerous gang fights to ruthless gang wars, White gangs have become
racist groups that hold on to what society has moved on from, and African American Gangs have went
from committing unorganized crimes to huge organized groups like the Crips and the Bloods. All of
these groups have had a violent past that led to them getting the point of aggression that they are at
today and their effect on society. It cannot be argued that gangs have not started off to doing some
type of criminal activity. The definition of a gang is a group of individuals, either organized or
unorganized, that are involved in criminal activities. The reason gangs are so deadly and dangerous is
because any individual that joins a gang has a need that they want met may it be money, safety, or
power. Most gangs target individuals between the ages 14 to 24 the most as they are the most
physically fit and easier to manipulate to do someone s bidding. When a young individual joins a
gang, it is more than likely that they are filled with anger or have no connection to anything else and
feel the need to

William Shakespeare s Othello And Racial Interactions...
New York City is the biggest, most international, multi racial and cultural difference city in the world.
It is common for the New Yorkers to interact with people visiting from all over the world. The racial
differences seem not to matter to anyone in New York. The book Othello show similarities to racial
interactions with the ones from New York City. However, looking closer at the play, Othello , seem to
show us many interesting aspects of cultural differences. It seems that not only, racial and cultural
differences were unconventional, but also unnatural .
As an illustration, within first act of Othello , Roderigo and Iago encounter Brabanito and make many
_not nice__ remarks towards the relationship between Brabanito s daughter and Othello. Iago says (...)
an old black ram is tupping your white ewe. (P.30), suggesting that the black ram is Othello, and the
white ewe is Desdemona. The first aspect of that quote is that a black ram, meaning black person
(Othello) shouldn t be tapping, meaning reproduce (having sex) with a white ewe, a white person
(Desdemona). Iago suggests that Othello s relationship is not only unconventional to the society in
those times, but also unnatural . Iago tries to explain that Othello s and Desdemona s relationship in
unnatural because, as he states in the previous citation, a black ram and a white ewe shouldn t be
interacting with each other. Another supportive line that Iago used to underline the racial difference,

Manchu Research Paper
The Manchu writing system was developed before the Manchu conquest of China, originating from a
different language than its spoken form. Due to the close network of alliances with the Mongols in
preparation for the conquest of China, the leader of the Manchus, Nurhachi, favored the Mongol
writing system with a modified version of the old Uighur script that they were already using. The
script was used as the national writing system for Manchu in communication with the Mongols,
because it is the most convenient and easy to use for diplomatic and strategic planning. After the death
of Nurhachi, more frequent communication took place with China and Korea, which cause the writing

The ethnically Manchu people are able to present their culture and customs online for the world to see,
with descriptions of experiences of current cultural events and interactive online communication. The
activities online can bring more awareness to more ethnically Manchu people and encourage them to
embrace the Manchu identity. More online representation also leads to more ethnic empowerment and
increased recognition from the Chinese government (Bai 2008:4 6). As Manchus are more confident
with the future of their language and ethnic identity, they are able to unite the voices online and
request their own autonomous region, much like many other minority ethnic groups in China.
However, the extensive reliance on online representation may result with a merely imagined
community created without a realistic basis. The ethnic Manchus would have the tendency to only rely
on online content to represent the ethnicity and fail to bring change to the real world. Due to the
economic advantage of speaking Chinese, ethnic Manchus would continue to use Chinese instead of
Manchu on a daily basis, which contradicts with the increasing cultural awareness spread online. The
reluctance to speak Manchu either as the primary language or bi language poses concerns of a
potential re abandonment of the Manchu language. Therefore, the most important step for Manchu
language revitalization after successful language transmission and language learning should be to
make the language more sustainable. Although it is true that the linguistic scholars might have biased
opinions on language revitalization, they should still present the significant joint effect of language
revitalization and cultural representation, and the online environment may be the preferred way to
spread

  • 3. Narcissism In Romantic Relationships Introduction Most people envision someone in particular when hearing the word narcissist , yet not as many people would think of themselves. When you have a narcissistic personality disorder, you may not want to think that anything could be wrong because doing so wouldn t fit with your self image of power and perfection (Mayo Clinic, 20140). Today, narcissism is viewed in a low light, which is why even narcissists wouldn t openly want to admit they are narcissistic. Narcissism has been studied in communication research, especially regarding narcissism and relationships. Although narcissism tends to be looked down upon, studies have shown that there are positives associated with people who possess this trait, both in their personal lives and in romantic relationships. The purpose of this literature review is to study what is known about narcissism in relationships, the bright side of narcissists and how they can contribute to society, and topics for future research. There has been a vast amount of research conducted on narcissism in relationships, mostly highlighting this trait being linked to conflict, anger, unrequited love, and infidelity and commitment issues. Some research underlines positive outcomes associated with narcissism such as motivation to volunteer, and unquestionable trust in romantic partners. In this literature review I will discuss current research on this topic. I will first explain the background of narcissism and define the disorder. Next, I will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Five Theories Of Virtue Ethics Virtue Ethics All along the history of man, there has been that big question of who or what determines what is moral. Ethics started to take shape when man began to question his actions and the reasons surrounding those actions. Am I doing the right thing? How do I know if it is the right? In a bid to explain the different ways in which individuals view morality, ethical theories evolved. There are five main theories; Intuitionism, Consequentialism, Deontological theory, Virtue ethics and Natural law. For the sake of this discussion, I will be focusing on Virtue Ethics. According to Aristotle, a virtue is a trait of mind and character that helps us achieve a good life . (Routledge, ND) Aristotle, like his predecessors, Socrates and Plato, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It assumes that it is by being virtuous that one acts morally thereby becoming better members of the society. This is because one is not prompted merely by duty to the state to do good but by virtues which makes his good actions innate. For instance, a student reporting a bully to the school not out of duty to the school but because of her abhorrence for injustice. Aristotle believed that it is by acting in the right way over and over again that one becomes virtuous. For instance, it is by an individual s ability to make wise decisions that makes him prudent. If every individual is striving to do what is considered to be the right thing, the society becomes a better place. Who is a virtuous person? This is a question we should all ask ourselves. Aristotle identified virtues based on the characters appreciated by his society that time and studied the ways in which they could be acquired and improved. Therefore, it right to say that the term virtuous varies from society to society according to different cultures. For instance, if one is considered virtuous in Ogun state, this does not mean that that same person will be considered virtuous in Imo state because both cultures differ. This simply means that virtue ethics is not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. A Brief Note On Down The Drain It Goes Down the Drain it Goes We have come to the conclusion that there is no more fresh water on the earth and that there is no potable water, says a news reporter. The earth could eventually end up like this. How much of the earth contains freshwater? Will the earth ever run out of water? If so, how long from now will we run out of water? What effects could this cause? All of these questions are ones that interest me greatly and that I would like to know the answers to. After taking an environmental science class in high school, I already had some prior knowledge on some areas of this topic. This knowledge includes learning about how much water there is on the earth. The part of the earth that is water is known as the hydrosphere and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Likewise, I often hear about the topics of water scarcity on the news and in articles and they bring up countries having water issues, so it encouraged me to find out more about the topic and to hopefully get my questions answered. While having many tools available for me to find secondary research for my topic, the easiest and closest source was my school s library database. On my school s library website, there is a search generator for looking up articles, books, journals, and anything you can read. This database was very helpful when it came to looking for secondary resources. All I needed to do was type in a few key words, and then read through the options that were given to me based on what I was looking for. After researching and looking through the data, I found some great articles about my topic on the fresh water on earth. However, I did have to search a few different key words and questions to find exactly what I was looking for. I explored things such as water scarcity, fresh water on earth, will the earth run out of water?, and how long from now will the earth run out of water?. All of these searches led to many different articles which then became my secondary sources which I could use to help answer my questions. I had to read through more than three articles, even though I needed at least three articles, to decide which ones seemed the most reliable and well written. My first ... • 6. Long And Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum Cells can be traced back to the basic structure of life. Cells make up all organisms such as, plants, the human body and fungi. There are different types of cells. The thing that differentiates Eukaryotic cells, which are animal and plant cells from Prokaryotic cells is the membranous organelles that are in the cytoplasm and chromosome proteins. The Eukaryotic cell nucleus contains most of the genetic material and controls all activity. mRNA translation happens in the ribosomes which carries out protein synthesis of the cell, while DNA replication occurs at the nucleus. Ribosomes are critical for protein assembly which is important for cellular functions. Also, there is endoplasmic reticulum, it has 2 type: rough and smooth. Smooth endoplasmic reticulum is responsible for metabolic processes and lipid synthesis. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cell walls and cell membranes are responsible for regulating the entering and exiting of particles and substance which maintains internal balance. The Golgi apparatus is responsible for transporting vesicles delivered from the smooth endoplasmic reticulum. Chloroplasts are found in plant cells only and utilize sunlight to create energy using a method called photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is when plants use water, sunlight and carbon dioxide to create energy in the form of glucose for plant cells. Mitochondria are in both animal and plant cells. Mitochondria are the sites of cellular respiration that creates ATP used by the cell as energy. Lysosomes are digestive organelles which break down macromolecules in the cell through hydrolysis. In order for a cell to survive it needs particular isolation from its environment, this is done via the plasma membrane, energy through ATP and cellular respiration. • 7. Hermeneutic Argument Against Transracialism The topic of the event I attended refers to the hermeneutic argument against trans racialism the speaker was Professor Tina Botts from the philosophy department. The beginning of the event was a brief introduction of the speaker, Professor Botts she is a practiced attorney, teaches feminism, attended the University of Memphis to obtain her Ph.D and has published two books. Dr. Botts introduced the racial of identity, is arguing if transracial is real. She starts with background context tracing back to child slavery how it was created to perpetuate plantation Capitalism. The ideology behind blackness show white plantation owners viewed as inferiority therefore hereditary thus to justify child slavery and therefore gaining profit of the unpaid labor. The point Botts was trying to convey from this is that blackness is hereditary afterwards she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 8. Court Observation At Harris County Criminal Justice Court Quan Nguyen Business Law Professor Donna Kohlhausen November 14, 2016 Court Observation Paper The court I attended was the court # 184, on October 25th 2015 at Harris County Criminal Justice Court , located in downtown of Houston city. The Judge in charge was Jan Krocker. It was an aggravated sexual assault of child case between The State of Texas vs. Samuel Gallegos. As I entered the court, the trial has already commenced so I did not really know how a real trial started. I sat in the back where the public sits, facing the judge bench. The courtroom was cold and quiet. Especially it was very small, much smaller and less impressive than I expected.. Everyone was in formal dressing code. There were just a few number of spectators and family members in the court room. There was a clerk who was typing everything what was happening during the court time. Judge Krocker appeared to have things under control and had the proceedings moving forward smoothly. She was a very friendly lady with short blonde hair. She was listening attentively. She spoke clearly and distinctly so that everyone in the courtroom could hear. Samuel Gallegos is a white man about 5 8 tall. Cangrelor, a potent intravenous, reversible, platelet P2Y12 inhibitor, was recently approved by both the United States (U.S.) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) as an adjunct for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The approval was based on Cangrelor versus Standard Therapy to Achieve Optimal Management of Platelet Inhibition (CHAMPION) PHOENIX (1), a multi center, double dummy, double blind trial, which randomized 11,145 patients with stable angina, non ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome or ST segment elevation myocardial infarction to receive cangrelor or clopidogrel at the time of PCI. CHAMPION PHOENIX (1) demonstrated that cangrelor significantly reduced the rate of ischemic events without increasing severe bleeding. In the original analysis, bleeding was site reported by the blinded investigators according to pre specified definitions and was not adjudicated. While the EMA accepted this approach, during FDA review, the sponsor and the FDA independently re evaluated bleeding in a post hoc, non blinded manner. This evaluation included potential bleeding data not necessarily captured on the bleeding case report form (CRF) by the investigator, and findings were categorized and interpreted according to jointly agreed criteria based on previously published bleeding classifications. For example, there was a field in the CRF called drop in hemoglobin or hematocrit ; the review re checked the laboratory dataset for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. A Background On Security Design Patterns Essay In this section, we present a brief background on security design patterns and FCA. 2.1. Security Design Patterns Christopher Alexander first introduced the concept of design patterns for use of living spaces, in his book A Pattern Language , published in 1977 [3]. The concept of a pattern was adopted by the software community in the book Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object Oriented Software , published in 1994 whose authors Gamma, Helm, Johnson, and Vlissides are known as the Gang of Four [4]. The first design patterns related to security were published by Yoder and Barcalow in 1997 which described 7 design patterns. Subsequently, many design patterns and pattern catalogs were published. Important contributions are by Romanosky [5], Kienzle et al. [6], Blakley and members of the Open Group security Forum [7], Hafiz et al. [8,9] and the Microsoft Patterns and Practices group [10,11]. In their book published in 2005, Schumacher and a working group of security pattern experts, discussed 46 patterns [12]. Steel et al. [13] compiled a catalog of 23 core security patterns for J2EE and web services. Dougherty et al., at the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute, described 15 design patterns in their guide to Secure Design Patterns [14]. Fernandez presented 68 design patterns in the book Security Patterns in Practice: Designing Secure Architectures Using Software Patterns [15]. • 13. Summary Of The Watchmaker Argument By William Paley The Watchmaker Argument by William Paley has been of great controversy because of its analogy between the creation of a watch and the creation of the universe. Paley s argument consists of the idea of there being a creator for everything, he uses the complicated composition of a watch as to prove that there has to be a watchmaker and therefore the complicated composition of the universe serves as to prove that there is in fact a Universe creator (God). Although Paley s argument is strong and valid, David Hume s opposing argument is more valid due to the premises he uses. Hume argues that it is impossible to compare something created by the human mind to something as complex as the universe simply because there is a lot about the creation of the universe that is unknown, unlike the creation of a house (or watch). William Paley uses the invention of a watch as an analogy to the invention of the universe. He argues that if we observe the very complicated and detailed design of the universe we can see that there was in fact a maker. When Iago with unperceived scoffing reminds Roderigo, who is drawn with merciless attraction to the unreachable Desdemona, that love effects an unwonted nobility in men, he states a doctrine which he knows is true but in which he may not believe. Ennoblement by love is a real possibility in men, but Iago has to view it with bitterness and to try to undermine it. (333 34) The theme of hate is the theme on which the play opens. Lily B. • 31. Criminal Activities And Its Effect On Society Criminal activities have always been a problem within society and has been becoming a bigger problem as time goes by. Over the years crimes have been getting more violent and more common. Gangs have always been involved in some type of criminal activity since being created, has gotten worse over time and has hurt society in one way or another. All gangs have a history of crime behind them. Hispanic Gangs turned dangerous gang fights to ruthless gang wars, White gangs have become racist groups that hold on to what society has moved on from, and African American Gangs have went from committing unorganized crimes to huge organized groups like the Crips and the Bloods. All of these groups have had a violent past that led to them getting the point of aggression that they are at today and their effect on society. It cannot be argued that gangs have not started off to doing some type of criminal activity. The definition of a gang is a group of individuals, either organized or unorganized, that are involved in criminal activities. The reason gangs are so deadly and dangerous is because any individual that joins a gang has a need that they want met may it be money, safety, or power. Most gangs target individuals between the ages 14 to 24 the most as they are the most physically fit and easier to manipulate to do someone s bidding. When a young individual joins a gang, it is more than likely that they are filled with anger or have no connection to anything else and feel the need to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. William Shakespeare s Othello And Racial Interactions... New York City is the biggest, most international, multi racial and cultural difference city in the world. It is common for the New Yorkers to interact with people visiting from all over the world. The racial differences seem not to matter to anyone in New York. The book Othello show similarities to racial interactions with the ones from New York City. However, looking closer at the play, Othello , seem to show us many interesting aspects of cultural differences. It seems that not only, racial and cultural differences were unconventional, but also unnatural . As an illustration, within first act of Othello , Roderigo and Iago encounter Brabanito and make many _not nice__ remarks towards the relationship between Brabanito s daughter and Othello. Iago says (...) an old black ram is tupping your white ewe. (P.30), suggesting that the black ram is Othello, and the white ewe is Desdemona. The first aspect of that quote is that a black ram, meaning black person (Othello) shouldn t be tapping, meaning reproduce (having sex) with a white ewe, a white person (Desdemona). Iago suggests that Othello s relationship is not only unconventional to the society in those times, but also unnatural . Iago tries to explain that Othello s and Desdemona s relationship in unnatural because, as he states in the previous citation, a black ram and a white ewe shouldn t be interacting with each other. Another supportive line that Iago used to underline the racial difference, and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 35. Manchu Research Paper The Manchu writing system was developed before the Manchu conquest of China, originating from a different language than its spoken form. Due to the close network of alliances with the Mongols in preparation for the conquest of China, the leader of the Manchus, Nurhachi, favored the Mongol writing system with a modified version of the old Uighur script that they were already using. The script was used as the national writing system for Manchu in communication with the Mongols, because it is the most convenient and easy to use for diplomatic and strategic planning. After the death of Nurhachi, more frequent communication took place with China and Korea, which cause the writing system to be modified with additional points and circles to certain ... The ethnically Manchu people are able to present their culture and customs online for the world to see, with descriptions of experiences of current cultural events and interactive online communication. The activities online can bring more awareness to more ethnically Manchu people and encourage them to embrace the Manchu identity. More online representation also leads to more ethnic empowerment and increased recognition from the Chinese government (Bai 2008:4 6). As Manchus are more confident with the future of their language and ethnic identity, they are able to unite the voices online and request their own autonomous region, much like many other minority ethnic groups in China. However, the extensive reliance on online representation may result with a merely imagined community created without a realistic basis. The ethnic Manchus would have the tendency to only rely on online content to represent the ethnicity and fail to bring change to the real world. Due to the economic advantage of speaking Chinese, ethnic Manchus would continue to use Chinese instead of Manchu on a daily basis, which contradicts with the increasing cultural awareness spread online. The reluctance to speak Manchu either as the primary language or bi language poses concerns of a potential re abandonment of the Manchu language. Therefore, the most important step for Manchu language revitalization after successful language transmission and language learning should be to make the language more sustainable. Although it is true that the linguistic scholars might have biased opinions on language revitalization, they should still present the significant joint effect of language revitalization and cultural representation, and the online environment may be the preferred way to spread ... Attitude Towards Americans The movement of jobs overseas has caused mounting anxiety in the United States, this anxiety has turned to hate and fear, and is effecting the attitude towards immigrants. This stress has caused a movement against immigrants coming into the country to begin. One presidential candidate ran on this idea of how Americans are so afraid of change they should just build a wall to keep everyone else out. Presidential candidate Donald Trump said I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I ll build them very inexpensively, I will build a great, great wall on our southern border.
