Slim Wallets Research Paper
Why Slim Wallets are Great Clutch Replacements for Women During the day, the average woman can
easily get away with carrying a purse that is big enough to carry virtually anything needed. This
includes a thick clutch or wallet filled with cash, I.D. cards, and credit or debit cards. Then there are
things like hairbrushes, makeup, tissues, keys, and everything but the kitchen sink. When going out
for a night on the town, no one wants to carry this kind of load around. Slim wallets make a much
better option and here is why. Slim Wallets Let You Ditch the Load When you spend your day
carrying a purse that weighs nearly as much as a small suitcase, the last thing you want to deal with is
carrying this load around at night. Face it, when you are going out for a meal or dancing, you need
something much smaller to carry around with you. Clutches are handy, but may not be the best wallets
for that night out. Even if you try to get away with pulling your clutch out of your purse, you are likely
to still be stuck with more of a load than you need. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Slim wallets such as those in our catalog give you the opportunity to do just that. Depending on the
one you choose, you should have room for your I.D., up to 4 credit or debit cards, and a little cash.
Some of our designs also have a convenient pocket where there is enough room for a small amount of
change, your car key, and house

Elizabethan Gender Roles
Gender Roles: Shakespearean and Modern During the Elizabethan times, there were many issues
facing common people and William Shakespeare. An important issue that played a part in everyday
life for Elizabethans, whether rich or poor, was the difference between men and women. Gender roles
have been debated throughout history and are changing everyday. Although modern American gender
roles are much more defined and different than Elizabethan times, if Shakespeare were to live today,
his writing would have been very different. Gender roles are something that affect every aspect of life,
in Elizabethan times and present day. Although the differences between eras may seem immense,
modern America has similar morals and ethics to Elizabethan ... Show more content on

Homosexuals are fighting for their rights in court, but since the fear and hate of them is still bad for
most people, they are losing ( Homophobia ). Considering women in Elizabethan times were looked at
as weak and helpless, there are many differences between gender roles in Elizabethan times and today.
One major difference is the way that husbands treated their wives ( Elizabethan Women ). . In the
Elizabethan Era, men treated their wives as if they were servants in the household, making them
complete all of the domestic chores around the house. This gave men the idea that women were their
property, hence the thought that women were weak and helpless ( Marriage and Family ). In modern
America, a man treats his wife with respect, and as equal as every other person in society. This gives
off a different idea than Elizabethan times; this idea is that women are strong and confident. Men also
had a head of the household status in Elizabethan times, which gave them control of everything that
went on in his house ( Marriage and Family ). In present day America, women are often the head of
the household, because women usually tell men what to do and when to do it. Gender roles have
changed to the highest extent since Elizabethan times, which gives women greater opportunities to
contribute to society. Back in the Elizabethan Era, women were restricted to jobs only in the domestic
field or housewives ( Elizabethan

Life Reflected In William Cullen Bryant s Poetry
William Cullen Bryant William Cullen Bryant was a man with many different abilities and he was
well rounded between political, religious, and writing matters. He had very strong opinions on matters
that greatly influenced the United States. William Cullen Bryant had many historical and political
contributions through his life as a writer and a free willed man.
William Cullen Bryant had a very successful early life. He was considered to be a puritan since a
young age. The religious training the young boy received at his hands left such a mark upon him that
Bryant the mature poet has sometimes been called a puritan (Unger 151). Bryant was pushed by his
father and his teachings to be a puritan and keep up puritan ways. Coming from Puritans, ... Show

These diverse issues included slavery, sectionalism, the national bank, currency stabilization, the
creation of Central Park, the need for prison reform, labor rights, copyright laws, and freedom of the
press ( Bryant, William Cullen 3). Bryant didn t want to be in politics but he used his writing to show
his opinion on all of his political related topics. Although he did not intend to be in politics, that was a
very strong area for him. Bryant joined the Democratic Party and made the Post an organ of free trade,
free speech, abolition, and workingmen s rights. He later was a founder of the Republican Party (
William Cullen Bryant 1). The topic of slavery was one of Bryant s biggest struggles. He had a very
strong opinion against slavery and was in some cases considered to be an abolitionist. Bryant devoted
his time to trying to stop the spread of slavery. Bryant s beliefs against slavery hurt the Evening Post
and was eventually hated in the south because of his edits against slavery. He put up the slogan above
the masthead of the editorials: Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Trade, and Free Speech, which was the
slogan for the Barnburner wing of the Democratic Party, which made people hate him even more (
Bryant, William Cullen 3). Bryant thought in a way that slavery would dissipate on it s own, but
however that was not the case. With many issues legally among the savery, he began to write

Analysis of The Irish Way by James R. Barrett
Analysis
The book, The Irish Way by James R. Barrett is a masterpiece written to describe the life of Irish
immigrants who went to start new lives in America after conditions at home became un
accommodative. Widespread insecurity, callous English colonizers and the ghost of great famine still
lingering on and on in their lives, made this ethnic group be convinced that home was longer a home
anymore. They descended in United States of America in large numbers. James R. Barrett in his book
notes that these people were the first group of immigrants to settle in America. According to him, there
were a number of several ethnic groups that have arrived in America. It was, however, the mass
exodus of Irish people during and after the great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Situation was to change later as they etched themselves deeper into the American society. The more
days went by, the more they became Americans through and through. Assimilation was never by
design, choice or any predetermined action. It was shaped through day to day conflicts and through
interaction with other ethnic groups. Having a good advantage in English as their first language, they
were able to participate in various activities that later shaped their destiny. Their children were able to
attend schools. A number of various professionals were found in various economic sectors of the
country. There were numerous policemen and women, preachers and teachers a sign that clearly
indicated that they were coming of age and that they were slowly overcoming the challenges that had
bent them downwards. Soon they started making it into elective post. This was partly because of their
improved economic status and partly due to their personality. Barrett noted that these people were
activist and had embarked on various activities that benefited the community.
Another social conflict underlined in this book was the conflict between the Irish American citizen and
the citizens of Indian origin. Typically, Irish people looked down upon the Indian citizens. The writer
notes that the Irish people were slowly forgetting their own fate of how they too were the subject of
discrimination and callous victimization in the

Head Start Essay example
Head Start
Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive child development programs which serve children
from birth to age five, pregnant woman and their extended families. They are child focused programs
that have the overall goal of increasing the school readiness of young children in low income families.
. These programs try to prepare young children intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically for
their future educational and social endeavors. ( U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,
2002).. The programs prepare the parent(s) to be supportive in the endeavor. Head Start has the
philosophy that parents are a child s first and most influential teacher. The Head Start program is
beneficial to early learning.

The program serves approximately
915,000 children. During the 1999 reauthorization, Congress decided that there was a need for
standards of literacy (which have not yet been fully implemented) . ( Good Start, Grow Smart: The
Bush Administration s Early Childhood Initiatives, 2002).
In the 1994 legislation revised Head Start performance standards.
Guidelines and new standards were set nationwide. The legislation focused on infants and toddlers and
their families as well as quality services for children. The education program is designed to meet the
needs of each child in Head Start.
Children must meet specific guidelines in order to qualify for Head Start. Family income (over the last
year) is considered. The family must be a low income family (income below the official poverty
level). Other things taken into consideration for acceptance are the lack of another pre school program
in the community, a population of less than 1,000 persons and residence in a remote area.
Head Start programs emphasize the importance of early identification of health problems. Referrals
are made to various agencies after each family s needs are identified. Every child accepted into the
program receives free medical benefits. The child must have a thorough physical examination and a
complete dental examination, as well as hearing and vision screening. Follow up and treatment are a

The Internationalisation Of Higher Education
The internationalisation of Higher Education is a mainstream focus, however a review of the literature
highlights issues of concerns to some scholars and researchers. Callan (2006) states that a reading of
the literature on the internationalisation, both European and world wide (particularly North America)
shows that.... the concept has been understood and applied in a highly variable fashion (Callan,2006,
p. 16). Kehm and Teichler (2007) concur, postulating that the internationalisation of HE is fraught
with strong political undercurrents embracing transnational and off shore campuses and issues of
cultural diversity and quality control (Kehm and Teichler, 2007, p. 261). Careful analysis of the
literature would seem to support Knight s view that Internationalisation is changing the world of
Higher Education and globalisation is changing the world of internationalisation (Knight,2004, p.5).
Welch (2002) looks at the historical and economic background on globalisation and links this to the
phenomenon of internationalisation of higher education. He summarises the works of authors
including Sklair, Harvey and Giddens. He looks at the rationales that have been utilised to justify the
internationalisation of HE, including Knights taxonomy of political, economic and academic
rationales. Welch also examines international student flows, as well as the extent to which
internationalisation impacts on Australian universities. He examines the growth of the international

I was born in America, but grew up with both the American and Egyptian cultures. This had a great
impact on my life. People ask me about my culture all the time and this has triggered my interest in
other cultures. It taught me to be tolerant and understanding toward other cultures and beliefs. This
has helped me on many occasions to work successfully with others as well as become empathetic.
Over the past couple of years I have traveled to Egypt and Sint Maarten. Traveling to different
countries helped expand my experiences and knowledge of the diverse ways people think and live
their lives. I have done volunteer work in many parts of the healthcare field. Every time I did any kind

Greek Life Pros And Cons
Have you ever seen the television series Greek? It suggests drugs, alcohol and sex are the three most
important elements that make up a typical sorority girl or frat boy s life. Students involved in Greek
life are always throwing wild parties and drinking until they pass out, getting involved in relationship
drama, sending their pledges on crazy tasks in the middle of the night, and never seeming to take any
responsibility. However, there is one thing missing from this hit reality series: the truth. In their late
works about Greek life, Evan Wright, Caitlin Flanagan s and Whipple and Sullivan s articles argued
that Greek life has its pros, but merely more cons. Whipple and Sullivan believed that the Greek
communities face a number of high challenges. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If you re shy, it s an easy way to make friends and divide from your high school group. You ll make
friends even more so than just your particular house. You ll meet people during the recruitment and
rush process and at Greek activities, such as socials and philanthropic events both in sororities and
fraternities. If you re attending or planning to attend a larger school, it makes campus seem a lot
smaller because you re included in the Greek community. Feeling like a small fish in the ocean can be
pretty daunting, so making campus feel smaller can be quite comforting at times. In other words,
modern Greek life is a little more different from Wright s and Whipple and Sullivan s times; the 19th
century. The Modern Greek life has change quite tremendously; from the hazing policies, to the
amount of alcohol intakes and partying. The Greek system on Stetson University is quite a Greek
system alright. Getting the chance to speak with one of the Public Safety officers on campus, they
have concluded that they made approximately five trips to the Greek houses for partying; being very
low for a University frat party. Comparing the Greek life at Stetson to one of a HBCU s (Historically
Black Colleges and University), Greek life will be extremely different. From the partying, to amount
of alcohol intake, to the assaults and lastly the expulsion of a fraternity or sorority for hazing. Stetson

Financial Statements Of American Heart Association
The financial statements of American Heart Association convey valuable information to outside users
about the organization and how it utilizes financial resources. The objective of this essay is to identify
five things that can be learned about an organization from their financial statements.
The first thing that can be learned about every nonprofit comes from reviewing the Statement of
Activities and the following Statement of Functional Expenses. These statements describe a broad
categorization of the different program related services provided and the supporting services needed to
run those programs. Expenses related to these programs are defined as those directly relating to the
organization s mission or purpose. For AHA, their programs include research, public health education,
professional education and training, and community services. Supporting services are those that do not
directly relate to the mission or purpose of the organization, and therefore can be further split into
services required to generate future contributions and services to run the administrative side of the
organization. The Statement of Functional Expenses provides a breakdown of natural expenses
(salaries, rent, professional fees, etc.) by the different program and supporting services. This allows
the user to see a breakdown of the salaries expense number by program, fundraising, and
administrative staff. A common tool for comparing and evaluating nonprofits is to compare program
expenses to

The Federal Reserve System Essay
The Federal Reserve System
Even before the creation of the Federal Reserve, banks were used by the public just as we use them
today. Deposits were made into savings accounts. Loans were taken out to mortgage a home or
finance a new business. Banknotes were issued and spent when the public borrowed from the banks.
Borrowers spent these banknotes just as paper money is spent today. These bank notes were valued as
money since they were backed by the promise that they would be exchanged on demand for either
gold or silver.
There was the occasionally belief on behalf of the public that banks would not be able to, or outright
refuse to honor their banknotes. This fear, if held by enough of a community, could lead to a run on

These actions led to the fall in prices of securities. Loans were liquidated and borrowing from banks
and other lenders became difficult. Interest rates would rise rapidly and sharply. This type of financial
hardship led to the liquidation of bank credit. Over a long enough span, this liquidation would lead to
money crises (Federal Reserve System 5th ed pp. 10 11). These periods of financial panics along with
the inelastic money supply had long beleaguered the country. Bank failures, business bankruptcies,
and unstable economic development were results of the lack of a central banking system (Federal
Reserve System 8th ed. pp. 6 7). The Panic of 1907 was a bank run of epic proportions that
exacerbated the problem. Depositors withdrew their savings from the second and third largest banks in
the country. These banks were not able to generate enough funds to cover the demand and
subsequently closed their doors. Their closings rapidly spread fear across the country leading to one of
the largest runs on the banks the nation had ever witnessed (Schlesinger pp. 41).
Fortunately, J.P. Morgan, the exorbitantly rich New York businessman came to the aid of the financial
system. He organized a group of bankers who shifted their funds to the failing banks. Depositors were
assured their savings were protected and could be withdrawn whenever they wanted. The demand
subsided and

You, Josie, have been accepted into GEM s World Academy Chicago! This was the best day of my
life. I have been accepted to the best private middle school in Chicago with a full ride. All four years
for free. I couldn t believe what just happened to me. This was the highest achievement that I have

and kind of scared. Like she is trying to hide something. It wasn t like we were starting school
tomorrow. It was June. I found out what it was, we live in Forest Park, which is a full 12 miles from
Chicago. To add on, my mom works from 12am to 10am. So that means that I am going to have to
take the train all the way into the city. First of all, I ve never really even been out of Forest Park or its
neighboring towns other than driving to camp in southern Illinois. So going to Chicago is a huge deal

The Origin Of The Jews After The Babylonian Exile
The word Diaspora derives from the Greek Diasperien i.e. dia (through) and sperien (to scatter).
According to Webster s dictionary, Diaspora refers to dispersion so we can say that the word
represents a centre called home from where the dispersion occurs. In addition to it the dictionary it
also associates the meaning with the dispersion of the Jews after the Babylonian exile. Thus we get
two meanings of the word Diaspora as a spread of population and a forcible dispersal. However the
term Diaspora doesn t mean any nomadic existence, though it suggests a movement from one place to
another, but it s not a nomadic existence because it is somewhere a journey, however that does not
mean all journey can be understood as that of a Diaspora. As in Diaspora does not mean causal travel,
even though diasporic journeys are mainly about settling down and about having roots elsewhere.
Thus, the concept of Diaspora has different meanings to different people according to their different
circumstances. For instance, when the Jews were exiled from the Babylon, they were uprooted from
their own homes and they had to rebuild their community and culture all over again, for them the
diaspora had different meaning since it was forced. But today the meaning of Diaspora could be
limited to any community of a particular nation outside its own country, sharing some common bonds
that eventually give the community a new identity within their existing identity, it is notable that this

Primary Deviance And Secondary Deviance
Each theory may aid in predicting and preventing teacher sex scandals. With female teachers and
considering the rational choice and labeling theories, there are some links within. For the labeling
theory, as mentioned above, there are two parts: the primary deviance and secondary deviance.
Primary deviance where one labels within self, secondary, where ones position is labeled by the
public. Many people here of female teacher, male student sex scandals in the media; while these
events, although tragic, can be used as prediction. It is important to identify the reasoning behind the
scandal and watch for potential contributing factors. After prediction is identified, prevention can be

relationship between teachers and students, it will be easy to prevent. Using the aspects of the labeling
theory can assist in identifying that the public has labeled many female teachers in the role of
inappropriate. Knowing this label beforehand assists in being able to prevent potential

Gender Roles In Things Fall Apart By Chinua Achebe
With the arrival of third wave feminism, gender roles are an increasingly popular topic for discussion,
and literature is an effective catalyst for it. This is shown through Chinua Achebe´s 1958 novel Things
Fall Apart, which discusses the effects of European colonization on African society, using a fictional
group of Igbo villages as an example. His main character is Okonkwo, an aggressive and powerful
male figure in the community. He is a prime example of how male gender expectations can negatively
affect people. As Achebe states, fiction [is] entirely fictitious [but] it could also be true or false, not
with the truth or falsehood of a news article but as to its disinterestedness, its intention, its integrity
(Franklin 3). Clearly, he writes with the purpose of conveying truths through the broader untruth of
fiction, and so could not have unintentionally created a character with such problems that are glaringly
caused by gender roles. The way that Okonkwo embodies stereotypical gender expectations for men
makes clear how they can be toxic to everyone. To effectively discuss anything, gender roles included,
central terms need to be defined. Achebe sets this up for the reader in the beginning of the novel, to
construct a basis on which to evaluate further as plot events unfold. He talks about Okonkwo
encourag[ing] the boys to sit with him in his obi, and [telling] them stories of the land masculine
stories of violence and bloodshed. Nwoye [,Okonkwo s son,] kn[ows]

Interval Training Research Paper
How to Begin Interval Training When You Are Currently Sedentary
The benefits of a good interval training program are widely supported these days, in research and in
everyday life. Stronger muscles, a more efficient cardiovascular system, and a leaner, more toned
physique are just some of the results that have propelled interval training into style, even above
traditional steady state cardio sessions. Part of the reason this method of exercise works so well is that
it forces your body to adapt to much harsher stimuli than traditional exercise does by pushing you into
an anaerobic state. There is no doubt that brief, intense bouts of anaerobic training are enormously
beneficial to the seasoned exerciser, but to a beginner, they can be painful ... Show more content on

In general, a training program for complete beginners can have anywhere from five to ten intervals of
work separated by intervals of rest and recovery. The number of intervals can then be increased
depending on levels of fitness. You can perform almost any exercise of your choice in an interval
format, but cardio exercises like running, biking, and swimming are the most simple for complete
beginners to learn safely.
While you can vary the length and number of work intervals to match your goals, rest intervals when
you are first starting out from a sedentary lifestyle should be kept long enough so you feel recovered
and rested before starting the next work interval. This rule of thumb will help keep you from injuring
yourself before you become accustomed to what your body can handle.
Long, slow intervals of around two minutes or more are best if your goal is to eventually be able to
maintain a steady cardio pace without needing to take breaks. For example, if you want to train to jog
a 5k race, it would be worthwhile to do two to four long interval sessions per week to build up your
cardio capacity. Additionally, if it has been a long time since you have exercised regularly, longer,
slower intervals can help you get back into the game and get back to a basic level of fitness. Stick to
this interval length until you feel comfortable taking the next step into harder, faster

of the market for derivative instruments can be traced back to the willingness of risk averse economic
agents to guard themselves against uncertainties arising out of fluctuations in asset prices. Kawaller,
the President of Kawaller Company, LLC and Managing Director of the Kawaller Fund in Brooklyn,
NY (2008) analysed the prevailing scenario and stated that currency risk is an inherent aspect of
international commerce. Fortunately, for enterprises that function in this space particularly for those
that transact with counterparties ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So a company should maintain a high level of interest coverage ratio (ICR) in order to meet its debt
obligations. A positive sign is expected between ICR and derivatives usage.
Liquidity
Nance et al. also argue that firms can reduce the expected financial distress and agency costs
associated with long term debt by maintaining greater short term liquidity. The variable used as proxy
for a firm s short term liquidity is the quick ratio. The quick ratio, a variant of the current ratio,
measures a firm s ability to repay short term operating liabilities with readily available cash.
Underinvestment
Myers (1977), Smith and Watts (1992) have found that firm value depends on the future opportunities.
If there are lots of investment opportunities available to the firms, it seems that this firm has the
capability to generate more cash flow to the firm and to the shareholders. Consequently, this will be
reflected in the stock price. So, the value of a firm having much more investment opportunities will be
higher compared with the one of a firm with limited set of investment opportunities, which is
supported by the result form Allayannis (2001). As an indicator of investment opportunities for the
company, PPE, the ratio of a firm s capital expenditures for property, plant, and equipment to total
assets and R D is the ratio

Summary Of Attachment Theory
Article Summary
Anne Merrill and Tamara Afifi (2015) examine how attachment theory emotionally and cognitively
interacts with various secret keeping instances (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, p. 259). Research has shown that
secrecy has harmful affects such as, anxiety and stress (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, pp. 259 260). However
the level to which these individuals ponder, or ruminate, about the secret varies from person to person
(Merrill, Afifi, 2015, p. 259).
Theoretically, these researchers utilize the preoccupation models of secrecy to explain why secrecy
negatively affects a person s well being (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, p. 260). Research states, individuals in a
romantic relationship are likely to experience cognitive tension due to thought suppression and
intrusive thoughts (rumination), which continually repeat in efforts to maintain secrecy (Merrill, Afifi,
2015, pp. 260 261). Attachment theory states, those individuals who are securely attached (low
anxiety and avoidance) are less likely to keep secrets from their partner because they are more trusting
(Merrill, Afifi, 2015, 2015, p. 261). As oppose to individuals with high attachment avoidance, who

partner, while 12.6% reported they were not keeping any secrets from their partner (Merrill, Afifi,
2015, p. 265). Positive secret keepers were excluded from the analysis, reducing the sample size
(Merrill, Afifi, 2015, p. 265). Researcher s also found that the more avoidant individuals are, the less
likely they are to perceive their partner as having ownership over their secrets (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, p.
256). Lastly, guilt and rumination had a strong, positive, and significant relationship (Merrill, Afifi,

Richard Milhous Nixon s Father s Side Of The Family
Richard Milhous Nixon came from a family with a strong heritage. His father s side of the family were
Methodists originally from Scotland. Then, in the early 1600s, they migrated to Ireland, and to
America in the 1730s. His grandfather, George Nixon, died in the Battle of Gettysburg during the
Civil war. Richard s father, Frank Nixon, was born in Ohio. His mother died when he was only 7, and
he left home when he was only 14. He went from town to town doing odd jobs and eventually made
his way to California where he met his future wife, Hannah. Nixon s mother s side of the family was
originally from Germany. They then migrated to England around 1688, where they became Quakers.
From England they migrated to Ireland, and from Ireland to America. During the civil war they were
part of the underground railroad. Richard s mother, Hannah Milhous, was born in Indiana, but her
family moved and she grew up in Whittier, California, where she met Frank Nixon. They fell in love
at first sight, and were married four months later in June 1908. Frank converted to Quakerism. Frank
and Hannah s first son, Harold, was born in 1909, only a year after they were wed. In 1908, Frank
bought a lemon ranch in Yorba Linda, CA, and built a small house there. Then, on January 9, 1913,
Richard Milhous Nixon was born in that very house. Hannah and Frank would have three more
children: Donald (born in 1914), Arthur (born in 1918), and Edward (born in 1930). The

The Mandrill Primate And The Primate
Writing Assignment: The Mandrill Primate For this assignment, I have decided to design an enclosure
about the primate, Mandrill. I will, in words, describe an enclosure that will prevent these nonhuman
primates from not being suited to their natural habitat needs. Throughout this assignment, I will design
my very own version of a perfect enclosure that secures these primates by critically thinking of any
psychological or physical problems that can occur. What also will need to partake is considering the
perspective of the nonhuman primates, the zookeepers, and the visitors as well. Designing an
enclosure has to be precise and detailed. I will do the best I can to be as detailed as I can be when
designing this enclosure. First, to be able to design an enclosure, we must know a little about our
species that will be in it. Well, the Mandrill is a type of primate of the Old World monkey family and
are usually found in parts of South American, specifically Cameroon, Gabon, Guinea, and Congo
(Wikipedia). The Mandrill is known for their colorful characteristics that vary in colors from blue to
violet and also have a scarlet color alongside the bridge and end of their nose (Britannica). In my
opinion, the mandrills are considered to be the most unique and interesting primates that I have seen
and that are why I have decided to write about them. The mandrill is formerly grouped with the
baboons. So, what happens to a nonhuman primate when the zoo enclosure does not suit

The Goffman s Theory Of Dramaturgy
Pretend you are playing the role of a character named Jordan, while discussing Erving Goffman s
theory of dramaturgy. Jordan finally made it. Jordan finally graduated university and has been lucky
enough to receive an offer for an interview at the institution that he had been working towards his
entire university career, an interview at the top law firm in all of Toronto. Now it is time to prepare. It
is time for Jordan to show the firm that he is meant to be there. To show the firm that this position was
meant for him, he must be the best version of himself. Jordan is competing against hundreds of other
university graduates, but he must show them that he is the one. Jordan s first impression matters, he
must show them the qualities that they want to see to ensure that he receives the position at the law
firm. While attending this interview in the role of Jordan, you want to put forward the best version of
yourself, it is expected by all to do so. If you want the job you are going to show the interviewers
exactly what they want to see to ensure that you get the position. While doing this you are engaging in
what Goffman calls impression management. Impression management refers to the verbal and
nonverbal practices we employ in an attempt to present an acceptable image of our self to others
(Goffman, 2012, pg. 469). You portray a certain, expected image to the audience and hope that they
see that image the way that you intended. In association with the term impression

The United Nations
What is the purpose of the United Nations (UN)?
United Nations Charter dictates the principles are to save future generations from war, reaffirm human
rights, establish equal rights for all persons, promote justice, freedom, and social progress for the
peoples of all of its 193 member states. (United Nations, 2016)
Explain the structure of the UN (including all the organizations under its umbrella). Briefly discuss the
history of the UN.
The United Nations was officially established on October 24, 1945, this year marks its 70th
anniversary. The name United Nations was coined by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1941 to
describe the countries fighting against the Axis. The name was first used officially on Jan. 1, 1942,
when 26 states joined in the Declaration by the United Nations, pledging themselves to continue their
joint war effort and not to make peace separately. (UN, 2016)
In order to handle the complex task of getting its member states to cooperate most efficiently, the UN
today is divided into five main organs.
The General Assembly is the main decision making and representative assembly in the UN. Its
primary role is to discuss issues and make recommendations, though it has no power to enforce its
resolutions or to compel state action. Decisions on peace and security, admission of new members and
budgetary matters require a two thirds majority; all lesser only require a simple majority vote. (UN,
2016)

Essay about The Four Agreements
The Four Agreements
The Four Agreements
After reading The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz I realized I ve been living dreams of other
people in my life and not my own. It was decided early on what I should do, what s possible and what
s not. Starting at birth we are told what to think by our parents, schools, and church. Subconsciously,
we have made agreements with them to live our life according to their rules. Don Miguel believes that
these agreements are self limiting and shares four agreements that if we adapt into our lives we will
reach true peace and happiness. The book made so much sense to me, but the hard part is to actually
commit to living out the four agreements. In short, the four agreements are listed below: ... Show more

I finally realized that people will talk about you whether you re doing good or bad.
Don t Make Assumptions. Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.
Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstanding, sadness and drama. With
just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
We make assumptions because we need explanations (to our questions) to address what s going on in
our own minds. The mind is a powerful thing and our minds have different voices and personality that
can create a lot of confusion. When I make assumptions there is always conflict that follows. I know
now that through communication we can arrive to resolution. This agreement rings true for me and has
caused disappointment and sadness in my life to be at a point in my life that I can ask for what I want.
Always Do Your Best. Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when
you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best and you will avoid
self judgment, self abuse and regret.
I don t always feel as if I did my best I never have, too. In this agreement I know it mentions that your
best is going to change from moment to moment. I would like to experience my best more often. To
truly give my best I have to be moved in some kind of spiritual way. That is the only time I feel as if I
m doing something I want versus something I have to do. The more my life is

All employees have a duty of care to report any concerns of abuse they have. These might include
evidence or suspicions of bad practice by colleagues and managers (whistleblowing), or abuse by
another service user, staff or their family and friends. The correct actions to take if an idividual tells
you they are being abused. The key things to do when an individual discloses abuse is: Assume the
person is telling the truth. Speak to them in a clam and sensitive way. Listen carefully and make sure
you record what was said. If the person needs medical attention you would call the emergency service
or call a doctor as appropriate, and inform your line manager immediately, or another senior person. If
this is a criminal matter i.e. an alleged assault, rape or indecent exposure, call the police, if a senior
was not on duty/available to do so. How to ensure that any evidence of abuse is kept safe It is
important to record everything that has been said or disclosed, in the event of alleged abuse, include
date/time, and sign it. This is because the information needs to be accurate, in case it is to be used in a
legal investigation or proceedings. The written record should be stored in a secure place, for safety and
to prevent others from seeing its content. If the alleged abuse is of sexual nature, it is advisable to ask
the victim of abuse not to wash themselves, or dispose of any clothing, as they may be

Essay about Minority and majority rights
The rights of many people versus the rights of an individual is certainly a vexing concept. Like a
delicate balancing act; if one side is favoured over the other it causes a rift in the already strained
relationship between the minority and majority. Evidently, the justification of taking any side must be
valid, according to the theories of H.L.A. Hart. In the past, Canadian law has violated the rights of
minorities; however, these violations have decreased in their severity as time has passed on. Some
cases where the balance between minority and majority rights is questioned is in The Canadian Indian
Residential School System, Bill 101, Equality in the Workplace and The Public Service Act.
To begin, Aboriginal rights have, historically, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Act was amended for the first time in 1885, the amendment prohibited religious practices and
traditional dances. The validity of these laws is questionable. According to H.L.A. Hart s philosophies:
these measures were not valid. Laws are to protect society from exploitation and violence of the weak
and vulnerable; instead children were taken out of their homes and forced into a new strange
environment where they were likely abused. One of Hart s theories says that: for a law to be valid,
rules should be obeyed because they make sense, not because of the fear of punishment. In these
residential schools the Children were forced to dress, speak and act in a European manner they would
receive harsh punishments otherwise; clearly, this is not valid. It was a serious violation of human
rights for a minority group in the human population. Canada has recognized this and in 2007 a 1.9
billion dollar compensation package was put together for those who attended residential schools; a
formal apology was also delivered by Stephen Harper to residential school students in 2008.
Therefore, Canada has severely violated the rights of the Aboriginal minority in the interest to
assimilate them into Canadian society; the mistake was recognized and compensation was given. It is
no secret that French English relations in Canada have been strained in the past and still are albeit to a
lesser extent.

The Importance Of The Star Spangled Banner
Title
The ground is not constant in every part of the world. Grass, sand, dirt, rocks, and everything in
between is always changing underneath our feet. The sky is always shifting when new shapes and
colors pass above our heads as we carry out our lives. It is baffling to think that people surrounded in a
world of change believe it is possible to stick to one way of living. The belief in following a tradition
can come from multiple ideals. The United States has an abundance of these traditions, and sometimes
it is hard to notice when you are within one. The Star Spangled Banner is a prime example of a long
standing tradition in the United States, where it is usually played before national sporting events.
Americans believe that the national anthem represents the greatness of America, and some believe that
it honors our fallen soldiers and military. It is traditional to stand with our hands on our hearts, facing
the flag while the anthem plays. The recent phenomenon of NFL players kneeling at the national
anthem is a call to attention for the victims affected by racial inequality and police brutality within our
country. Interestingly, NFL players weren t required to be on the field during the anthem until 2009.
Regardless, this show of taking a knee seems to many as a menace to their tradition. Some people
were thoroughly opposed to these protests, including our own country s leader. The president of the
United States calling these gestures a total disrespect of our

  • 2. Slim Wallets Research Paper Why Slim Wallets are Great Clutch Replacements for Women During the day, the average woman can easily get away with carrying a purse that is big enough to carry virtually anything needed. This includes a thick clutch or wallet filled with cash, I.D. cards, and credit or debit cards. Then there are things like hairbrushes, makeup, tissues, keys, and everything but the kitchen sink. When going out for a night on the town, no one wants to carry this kind of load around. Slim wallets make a much better option and here is why. Slim Wallets Let You Ditch the Load When you spend your day carrying a purse that weighs nearly as much as a small suitcase, the last thing you want to deal with is carrying this load around at night. Face it, when you are going out for a meal or dancing, you need something much smaller to carry around with you. Clutches are handy, but may not be the best wallets for that night out. Even if you try to get away with pulling your clutch out of your purse, you are likely to still be stuck with more of a load than you need. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. Elizabethan Gender Roles Gender Roles: Shakespearean and Modern During the Elizabethan times, there were many issues facing common people and William Shakespeare. An important issue that played a part in everyday life for Elizabethans, whether rich or poor, was the difference between men and women. Gender roles have been debated throughout history and are changing everyday. Although modern American gender roles are much more defined and different than Elizabethan times, if Shakespeare were to live today, his writing would have been very different. Gender roles are something that affect every aspect of life, in Elizabethan times and present day. Although the differences between eras may seem immense, modern America has similar morals and ethics to Elizabethan ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Homosexuals are fighting for their rights in court, but since the fear and hate of them is still bad for most people, they are losing ( Homophobia ). Considering women in Elizabethan times were looked at as weak and helpless, there are many differences between gender roles in Elizabethan times and today. One major difference is the way that husbands treated their wives ( Elizabethan Women ). . In the Elizabethan Era, men treated their wives as if they were servants in the household, making them complete all of the domestic chores around the house. This gave men the idea that women were their property, hence the thought that women were weak and helpless ( Marriage and Family ). In modern America, a man treats his wife with respect, and as equal as every other person in society. This gives off a different idea than Elizabethan times; this idea is that women are strong and confident. Men also had a head of the household status in Elizabethan times, which gave them control of everything that went on in his house ( Marriage and Family ). In present day America, women are often the head of the household, because women usually tell men what to do and when to do it. Gender roles have changed to the highest extent since Elizabethan times, which gives women greater opportunities to contribute to society. Back in the Elizabethan Era, women were restricted to jobs only in the domestic field or housewives ( Elizabethan ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Life Reflected In William Cullen Bryant s Poetry William Cullen Bryant William Cullen Bryant was a man with many different abilities and he was well rounded between political, religious, and writing matters. He had very strong opinions on matters that greatly influenced the United States. William Cullen Bryant had many historical and political contributions through his life as a writer and a free willed man. William Cullen Bryant had a very successful early life. He was considered to be a puritan since a young age. The religious training the young boy received at his hands left such a mark upon him that Bryant the mature poet has sometimes been called a puritan (Unger 151). Bryant was pushed by his father and his teachings to be a puritan and keep up puritan ways. Coming from Puritans, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These diverse issues included slavery, sectionalism, the national bank, currency stabilization, the creation of Central Park, the need for prison reform, labor rights, copyright laws, and freedom of the press ( Bryant, William Cullen 3). Bryant didn t want to be in politics but he used his writing to show his opinion on all of his political related topics. Although he did not intend to be in politics, that was a very strong area for him. Bryant joined the Democratic Party and made the Post an organ of free trade, free speech, abolition, and workingmen s rights. He later was a founder of the Republican Party ( William Cullen Bryant 1). The topic of slavery was one of Bryant s biggest struggles. He had a very strong opinion against slavery and was in some cases considered to be an abolitionist. Bryant devoted his time to trying to stop the spread of slavery. Bryant s beliefs against slavery hurt the Evening Post and was eventually hated in the south because of his edits against slavery. He put up the slogan above the masthead of the editorials: Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Trade, and Free Speech, which was the slogan for the Barnburner wing of the Democratic Party, which made people hate him even more ( Bryant, William Cullen 3). Bryant thought in a way that slavery would dissipate on it s own, but however that was not the case. With many issues legally among the savery, he began to write immensely ... • 5. Analysis of The Irish Way by James R. Barrett Analysis The book, The Irish Way by James R. Barrett is a masterpiece written to describe the life of Irish immigrants who went to start new lives in America after conditions at home became un accommodative. Widespread insecurity, callous English colonizers and the ghost of great famine still lingering on and on in their lives, made this ethnic group be convinced that home was longer a home anymore. They descended in United States of America in large numbers. James R. Barrett in his book notes that these people were the first group of immigrants to settle in America. The more days went by, the more they became Americans through and through. Assimilation was never by design, choice or any predetermined action. Having a good advantage in English as their first language, they were able to participate in various activities that later shaped their destiny. Their children were able to attend schools. A number of various professionals were found in various economic sectors of the country. There were numerous policemen and women, preachers and teachers a sign that clearly indicated that they were coming of age and that they were slowly overcoming the challenges that had bent them downwards. Soon they started making it into elective post. This was partly because of their improved economic status and partly due to their personality. Barrett noted that these people were activist and had embarked on various activities that benefited the community. Another social conflict underlined in this book was the conflict between the Irish American citizen and the citizens of Indian origin. Typically, Irish people looked down upon the Indian citizens. • 7. The Internationalisation Of Higher Education The internationalisation of Higher Education is a mainstream focus, however a review of the literature highlights issues of concerns to some scholars and researchers. Callan (2006) states that a reading of the literature on the internationalisation, both European and world wide (particularly North America) shows that.... the concept has been understood and applied in a highly variable fashion (Callan,2006, p. 16). Kehm and Teichler (2007) concur, postulating that the internationalisation of HE is fraught with strong political undercurrents embracing transnational and off shore campuses and issues of cultural diversity and quality control (Kehm and Teichler, 2007, p. 261). Careful analysis of the literature would seem to support Knight s view that Internationalisation is changing the world of Higher Education and globalisation is changing the world of internationalisation (Knight,2004, p.5). Welch (2002) looks at the historical and economic background on globalisation and links this to the phenomenon of internationalisation of higher education. He summarises the works of authors including Sklair, Harvey and Giddens. He looks at the rationales that have been utilised to justify the internationalisation of HE, including Knights taxonomy of political, economic and academic rationales. Welch also examines international student flows, as well as the extent to which internationalisation impacts on Australian universities. He examines the growth of the international student ... • 10. Greek Life Pros And Cons Have you ever seen the television series Greek? It suggests drugs, alcohol and sex are the three most important elements that make up a typical sorority girl or frat boy s life. Students involved in Greek life are always throwing wild parties and drinking until they pass out, getting involved in relationship drama, sending their pledges on crazy tasks in the middle of the night, and never seeming to take any responsibility. However, there is one thing missing from this hit reality series: the truth. In their late works about Greek life, Evan Wright, Caitlin Flanagan s and Whipple and Sullivan s articles argued that Greek life has its pros, but merely more cons. Whipple and Sullivan believed that the Greek communities face a number of high challenges. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If you re attending or planning to attend a larger school, it makes campus seem a lot smaller because you re included in the Greek community. Feeling like a small fish in the ocean can be pretty daunting, so making campus feel smaller can be quite comforting at times. In other words, modern Greek life is a little more different from Wright s and Whipple and Sullivan s times; the 19th century. The Modern Greek life has change quite tremendously; from the hazing policies, to the amount of alcohol intakes and partying. The Greek system on Stetson University is quite a Greek system alright. Getting the chance to speak with one of the Public Safety officers on campus, they have concluded that they made approximately five trips to the Greek houses for partying; being very low for a University frat party. • 11. Financial Statements Of American Heart Association The financial statements of American Heart Association convey valuable information to outside users about the organization and how it utilizes financial resources. The objective of this essay is to identify five things that can be learned about an organization from their financial statements. The first thing that can be learned about every nonprofit comes from reviewing the Statement of Activities and the following Statement of Functional Expenses. These statements describe a broad categorization of the different program related services provided and the supporting services needed to run those programs. Expenses related to these programs are defined as those directly relating to the organization s mission or purpose. For AHA, their programs include research, public health education, professional education and training, and community services. Supporting services are those that do not directly relate to the mission or purpose of the organization, and therefore can be further split into services required to generate future contributions and services to run the administrative side of the organization. The Statement of Functional Expenses provides a breakdown of natural expenses (salaries, rent, professional fees, etc.) by the different program and supporting services. This allows the user to see a breakdown of the salaries expense number by program, fundraising, and administrative staff. A common tool for comparing and evaluating nonprofits is to compare program expenses to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. The Federal Reserve System Essay The Federal Reserve System Even before the creation of the Federal Reserve, banks were used by the public just as we use them today. Deposits were made into savings accounts. Loans were taken out to mortgage a home or finance a new business. Banknotes were issued and spent when the public borrowed from the banks. Borrowers spent these banknotes just as paper money is spent today. These bank notes were valued as money since they were backed by the promise that they would be exchanged on demand for either gold or silver. There was the occasionally belief on behalf of the public that banks would not be able to, or outright refuse to honor their banknotes. Loans were liquidated and borrowing from banks and other lenders became difficult. Interest rates would rise rapidly and sharply. This type of financial hardship led to the liquidation of bank credit. Over a long enough span, this liquidation would lead to money crises (Federal Reserve System 5th ed pp. 10 11). These periods of financial panics along with the inelastic money supply had long beleaguered the country. Bank failures, business bankruptcies, and unstable economic development were results of the lack of a central banking system (Federal Reserve System 8th ed. pp. 6 7). The Panic of 1907 was a bank run of epic proportions that exacerbated the problem. Depositors withdrew their savings from the second and third largest banks in the country. These banks were not able to generate enough funds to cover the demand and subsequently closed their doors. Their closings rapidly spread fear across the country leading to one of the largest runs on the banks the nation had ever witnessed (Schlesinger pp. 41). Fortunately, J.P. Morgan, the exorbitantly rich New York businessman came to the aid of the financial system. He organized a group of bankers who shifted their funds to the failing banks. I have been accepted to the best private middle school in Chicago with a full ride. All four years for free. I couldn t believe what just happened to me. This was the highest achievement that I have ever gotten. It seems a little to good to be true. I could see my mother with a pitty smile on her face and kind of scared. • 14. The Origin Of The Jews After The Babylonian Exile The word Diaspora derives from the Greek Diasperien i.e. dia (through) and sperien (to scatter). According to Webster s dictionary, Diaspora refers to dispersion so we can say that the word represents a centre called home from where the dispersion occurs. In addition to it the dictionary it also associates the meaning with the dispersion of the Jews after the Babylonian exile. Thus we get two meanings of the word Diaspora as a spread of population and a forcible dispersal. However the term Diaspora doesn t mean any nomadic existence, though it suggests a movement from one place to another, but it s not a nomadic existence because it is somewhere a journey, however that does not mean all journey can be understood as that of a Diaspora. As in Diaspora does not mean causal travel, even though diasporic journeys are mainly about settling down and about having roots elsewhere. Thus, the concept of Diaspora has different meanings to different people according to their different circumstances. For instance, when the Jews were exiled from the Babylon, they were uprooted from their own homes and they had to rebuild their community and culture all over again, for them the diaspora had different meaning since it was forced. But today the meaning of Diaspora could be limited to any community of a particular nation outside its own country, sharing some common bonds that eventually give the community a new identity within their existing identity, it is notable that this kind ... With female teachers and considering the rational choice and labeling theories, there are some links within. For the labeling theory, as mentioned above, there are two parts: the primary deviance and secondary deviance. Primary deviance where one labels within self, secondary, where ones position is labeled by the public. Many people here of female teacher, male student sex scandals in the media; while these events, although tragic, can be used as prediction. It is important to identify the reasoning behind the scandal and watch for potential contributing factors. After prediction is identified, prevention can be set into place as well. Predicting is preventing. Once you can place a potential threat by identifying the relationship between teachers and students, it will be easy to prevent. Using the aspects of the labeling theory can assist in identifying that the public has labeled many female teachers in the role of inappropriate. Knowing this label beforehand assists in being able to prevent potential inappropriateness by being able to know possibilities. It is also important for other faculty of the school, as well as parents, to go in with an open mind knowing the increased rate of teacher student sex scandals. With this being said, they must familiarize themselves with key signs and possibilities clues as to whether their student may be victimized or acting inappropriately. The labeling theory ... • 16. Gender Roles In Things Fall Apart By Chinua Achebe With the arrival of third wave feminism, gender roles are an increasingly popular topic for discussion, and literature is an effective catalyst for it. This is shown through Chinua Achebe´s 1958 novel Things Fall Apart, which discusses the effects of European colonization on African society, using a fictional group of Igbo villages as an example. His main character is Okonkwo, an aggressive and powerful male figure in the community. He is a prime example of how male gender expectations can negatively affect people. As Achebe states, fiction [is] entirely fictitious [but] it could also be true or false, not with the truth or falsehood of a news article but as to its disinterestedness, its intention, its integrity (Franklin 3). Clearly, he writes with the purpose of conveying truths through the broader untruth of fiction, and so could not have unintentionally created a character with such problems that are glaringly caused by gender roles. The way that Okonkwo embodies stereotypical gender expectations for men makes clear how they can be toxic to everyone. To effectively discuss anything, gender roles included, central terms need to be defined. Achebe sets this up for the reader in the beginning of the novel, to construct a basis on which to evaluate further as plot events unfold. He talks about Okonkwo encourag[ing] the boys to sit with him in his obi, and [telling] them stories of the land masculine stories of violence and bloodshed. Nwoye [,Okonkwo s son,] kn[ows] ... • 17. Interval Training Research Paper How to Begin Interval Training When You Are Currently Sedentary The benefits of a good interval training program are widely supported these days, in research and in everyday life. Stronger muscles, a more efficient cardiovascular system, and a leaner, more toned physique are just some of the results that have propelled interval training into style, even above traditional steady state cardio sessions. Part of the reason this method of exercise works so well is that it forces your body to adapt to much harsher stimuli than traditional exercise does by pushing you into an anaerobic state. There is no doubt that brief, intense bouts of anaerobic training are enormously beneficial to the seasoned exerciser, but to a beginner, they can be painful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In general, a training program for complete beginners can have anywhere from five to ten intervals of work separated by intervals of rest and recovery. The number of intervals can then be increased depending on levels of fitness. You can perform almost any exercise of your choice in an interval format, but cardio exercises like running, biking, and swimming are the most simple for complete beginners to learn safely. While you can vary the length and number of work intervals to match your goals, rest intervals when you are first starting out from a sedentary lifestyle should be kept long enough so you feel recovered and rested before starting the next work interval. This rule of thumb will help keep you from injuring yourself before you become accustomed to what your body can handle. Long, slow intervals of around two minutes or more are best if your goal is to eventually be able to maintain a steady cardio pace without needing to take breaks. For example, if you want to train to jog a 5k race, it would be worthwhile to do two to four long interval sessions per week to build up your cardio capacity. Additionally, if it has been a long time since you have exercised regularly, longer, slower intervals can help you get back into the game and get back to a basic level of fitness. Stick to this interval length until you feel comfortable taking the next step into harder, faster ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is indeed rewarding but involves a great deal of risk. Shapiro (2006) describes the emergence and growth of the market for derivative instruments can be traced back to the willingness of risk averse economic agents to guard themselves against uncertainties arising out of fluctuations in asset prices. Kawaller, the President of Kawaller Company, LLC and Managing Director of the Kawaller Fund in Brooklyn, NY (2008) analysed the prevailing scenario and stated that currency risk is an inherent aspect of international commerce. So a company should maintain a high level of interest coverage ratio (ICR) in order to meet its debt obligations. A positive sign is expected between ICR and derivatives usage. Liquidity Nance et al. also argue that firms can reduce the expected financial distress and agency costs associated with long term debt by maintaining greater short term liquidity. The variable used as proxy for a firm s short term liquidity is the quick ratio. The quick ratio, a variant of the current ratio, measures a firm s ability to repay short term operating liabilities with readily available cash. Underinvestment Myers (1977), Smith and Watts (1992) have found that firm value depends on the future opportunities. If there are lots of investment opportunities available to the firms, it seems that this firm has the capability to generate more cash flow to the firm and to the shareholders. Consequently, this will be reflected in the stock price. So, the value of a firm having much more investment opportunities will be higher compared with the one of a firm with limited set of investment opportunities, which is supported by the result form Allayannis (2001). • 22. Summary Of Attachment Theory Article Summary Anne Merrill and Tamara Afifi (2015) examine how attachment theory emotionally and cognitively interacts with various secret keeping instances (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, p. 259). Research has shown that secrecy has harmful affects such as, anxiety and stress (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, pp. 259 260). However the level to which these individuals ponder, or ruminate, about the secret varies from person to person (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, p. 259). Theoretically, these researchers utilize the preoccupation models of secrecy to explain why secrecy negatively affects a person s well being (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, p. 260). Research states, individuals in a romantic relationship are likely to experience cognitive tension due to thought suppression and intrusive thoughts (rumination), which continually repeat in efforts to maintain secrecy (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, pp. 260 261). Attachment theory states, those individuals who are securely attached (low anxiety and avoidance) are less likely to keep secrets from their partner because they are more trusting (Merrill, Afifi, 2015, 2015, p. 261). • 24. The Mandrill Primate And The Primate Writing Assignment: The Mandrill Primate For this assignment, I have decided to design an enclosure about the primate, Mandrill. I will, in words, describe an enclosure that will prevent these nonhuman primates from not being suited to their natural habitat needs. Throughout this assignment, I will design my very own version of a perfect enclosure that secures these primates by critically thinking of any psychological or physical problems that can occur. What also will need to partake is considering the perspective of the nonhuman primates, the zookeepers, and the visitors as well. Designing an enclosure has to be precise and detailed. I will do the best I can to be as detailed as I can be when designing this enclosure. First, to be able to design an enclosure, we must know a little about our species that will be in it. Well, the Mandrill is a type of primate of the Old World monkey family and are usually found in parts of South American, specifically Cameroon, Gabon, Guinea, and Congo (Wikipedia). The Mandrill is known for their colorful characteristics that vary in colors from blue to violet and also have a scarlet color alongside the bridge and end of their nose (Britannica). In my opinion, the mandrills are considered to be the most unique and interesting primates that I have seen and that are why I have decided to write about them. The mandrill is formerly grouped with the baboons. So, what happens to a nonhuman primate when the zoo enclosure does not suit ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Like a delicate balancing act; if one side is favoured over the other it causes a rift in the already strained relationship between the minority and majority. In the past, Canadian law has violated the rights of minorities; however, these violations have decreased in their severity as time has passed on. One of Hart s theories says that: for a law to be valid, rules should be obeyed because they make sense, not because of the fear of punishment. In these residential schools the Children were forced to dress, speak and act in a European manner they would receive harsh punishments otherwise; clearly, this is not valid. It was a serious violation of human rights for a minority group in the human population. Grass, sand, dirt, rocks, and everything in between is always changing underneath our feet. The sky is always shifting when new shapes and colors pass above our heads as we carry out our lives. It is baffling to think that people surrounded in a world of change believe it is possible to stick to one way of living. The belief in following a tradition can come from multiple ideals. The United States has an abundance of these traditions, and sometimes it is hard to notice when you are within one. The Star Spangled Banner is a prime example of a long standing tradition in the United States, where it is usually played before national sporting events. Americans believe that the national anthem represents the greatness of America, and some believe that it honors our fallen soldiers and military. It is traditional to stand with our hands on our hearts, facing the flag while the anthem plays. The recent phenomenon of NFL players kneeling at the national anthem is a call to attention for the victims affected by racial inequality and police brutality within our country. Interestingly, NFL players weren t required to be on the field during the anthem until 2009. Regardless, this show of taking a knee seems to many as a menace to their tradition.
