The point of this investigation was to determine if there is a relationship between the two subtypes of
psychopathy and cognitive empathy. A correlation design was employed, in which Levenson, Kiehl
and Fitzpatrick s (1994) Levenson Self Report Psychopathy Scale and Baron Cohel, et al s (2002)
Reading the Mind in the Eyes tests were given to 452 Victoria University Psychology students.
Calculations were made, and resulted in the results to being a significant, negative correlation between

It is a story with a long and intricate plot, of the heroic life of a simple and good man in the person of
Jean Valjean. He is a very memorable character who is morally upright but guilty of certain thefts for
which he feels remorse. To avoid capture and life sentence, he assumes the identity of Monsieur
Madeliene, soon becoming the mayor of the small town he has adopted.
It is a very beautiful story packed with excitement. It talks about man s struggle to escape the past and
reaffirm his humanity in a society wherein poverty and ignorance prevails. It shows the inhumane

She too, experienced profound sorrows. She was maltreated at a young age and was abused by the
family her mother entrusted. However, she was relieved when Valjean rescued her and was even in
bliss when she found her true love Marius.
Anyways, another character that completes the essence of the story is Inspector Javert, the stalker . He
spent most of his life wandering everywhere just to capture Jean Valjean. He s so pathetic that he
became obsessed with it. Somehow, we can say that he won, because he found what he s looking for.
But, in the end, he still loses. He failed his life, because he can t accept the fact that the person he
hated so much saved him at the peak of his misfortune.
This story entails a lot of things that we must consider and reconsider. Such things like injustices and
discriminations, which I believe is still rampant nowadays. It also point out, that no matter how chary
and confidently we hide our past life, there comes a time, where it will all be revealed in the eyes of
many and when that moment comes, we must have the assurance that we are ready. Also, we must
bear in mind that no matter how bad a person is, there s always that goodness that lies
