defeated the rules of Lon Nol Army. The seizure of Phnom Penh, the capital city of

people were so cruel to everyone in the country, and Cambodian people did not expect

The first concept illustrated by this meeting was the concept of effective
management and planning covered in module 6. By the accounts of residents, it is
clear that the city has not been effective in previous years, in planning the
restoration and preservation of local roads. The city has not been proactive in
planning which streets should be repaired, when, or to what those repairs should
be. A common complaint of residents was that the city appeared to be content on
postponing repairs when it would be more convenient and cost effective to handle

girl s life from childhood to her early adult life. Johnson begins her piece by talking
about the girl s childhood that seemed like an average child s life growing up in a
rural area. This girl grew up in a family where her family was constantly working
hard on a farm to get by. As time went on, life s circumstances changed. The child
began to mature and the family was forced to move due to financial problems.
From the move, the family went from owning a farm and selling corn and soy

Another great thing I took away from reading this memoir is that everyone looks at
the same things, but in different ways. For example, the main character in Johnson s
memoir constantly went into Wal Mart looking for a job. After applying six times,
she finally got hired.
Some might have seen her as being a pest or an interruption to the other
employees, while others saw her as being a determined individual that knew what
she wanted. Everyone saw the same lady walking into the store, but all of their
impressions were very different. Learning that everyone sees the world in a
different manner then led to me wanting to be kind hearted woman to everyone
that I meet. Impressions are everything, so it is better to give a person the benefit
of the doubt since their life stories are not revealed at the time they are seen. The
last lesson I took away from reading Johnson s piece is a person can go from living
a comfortable life without the amenities, but with all the necessities, to a life where
there is nothing at all. There are certain events that happen in your life that can
change your life completely.

The ideas which reflect in my mind that in alcohol awareness training can give a
good knowledge to explore about the alcohol laws in New Zealand. And this training
would convey the knowledge about consuming alcohol, and effect of alcohol in the
body and society.
The objectives of the training are awareness about the limit of Alcohol consumption
by law of New Zealand and to understanding the effect of too much Alcohol in blood

The Stonewall Riots highlighted a key issue in the late 1960s American society.
Homosexuality was often seen as an illness and a sin to most people. For example, in
April 1952 homosexuality was deemed a sociopathic mental disorder by the American
Psychiatric Association (CNN). This idea was heightened in American society
because it was being taught that being gaywas one of the worst things an American

the Stonewall Inn; located in New York on Christopher Street. The Stonewall Inn
was the place where gays and lesbians would flock to, to feel accepted for once in
their lives as many of them ran away or were disowned by their own families. Even

would constantly raid the bar to make sure that alcohol was not being served to
gays, as the New York State Liquor Authority deemed it illegal to serve homosexuals.
Lasting only three days, the riots were able to help start the transformation of
American society to become what it is today. The lack of a formal compromise
between the nation and the LGBTcommunity was an advantage for the effects of
Stonewall to spread as the conflict was able to bring a wave of acceptance and

Unlike most issues in history there was no compromise for the Stonewall Riots. After

Southwest University Park It all started as a great attraction, a great investment for
the city. A great central attraction , many would say. I remember watching the news

This figure clearly shows that there is a large difference in length for individuals
aged between 2 and 5 years. This indicates that those aged between 2 and 5 grow at a
more rapid rate than that of those aged 0 and 1 year.

With this type of substratum, it favours idyllic conditions for various types of
vegetation to inhabit and create the optimum conditions for roach due to them
being both herbivorous and detritivorous feeders (Weatherley, 1987; Brabrand,
1985). Looking at figure 8 this is demonstrated as the Trews weir shows that roach
have the fastest growth rate and also attain the largest size than any other site with
they are found. From looking at Figure 9 and 10 it is evident that roach find this
type of area far more beneficial then dace as roach are in higher abundances at this
site. According to a study that had previously taken place by Cowx, 1989 said that
dace and roach sampled from the Trews Weir had a significant dietary over lap in this
area; figures 9 and 10 also show this.
Data for Trews Weir clearly implies that dace in this area do not have usual food
available in this area compared to others along the river so it is essential to look for
other food items to populate this region. This explains why they do not have a
growth rate that is in line with the other sampling site (figure 9).
The River Creedy s gradient slope is 1.9% which indicates that the flow rate is at a
medium rate. This river also has a high nutrient level as there are runoffs from farm
land and with the flow rates not as fast as the Exe then the nutrients as staying within
area rather than getting washed away. Dace are found in this area are slightly higher

As a formerly competitive snowboarder with two previous ACL injuries that
occurred while snowboarding, I am personally interested in the higher rate of ACL
injuries among women, and how current research can relate to women s
snowboarding. While at the 2015 ACSM NW conference in Bend, Oregon, I
attended a talk given by Christine Pollard. I was extremely interested in her research
about the prevalence of knee valgus activity in female landing tasks, and the force it

A 6 year study collected data from 1432 snowboard athletes, identified as elite by
their participation in world cup competitions. The study found an injury rate of
40%, with 17.8% of those injuries knee related (Major et all, 2013). That is, a knee
injury occurs in 7.12% of advanced snowboarders. For perspective, the table above
shows knee injury rates in soccer, none of which come close to 7 percent.
Snowboarding is a relatively new sport, and very few large scale studies have
occurred relating to knee injury rates, especially among elite female athletes.
However ACL injury rates are higher for females, and higher for elite snowboarders,
so it is logical to assume that there is an increased risk for elite female snowboarders.
Kinematics:
There have been many studies done to explain the higher rate of ACL injury in
female athletes. The most convincing findings relate to knee kinematics and
neuromuscular control. In a study of 20 subjects (10 male and 10 female) forces
from jump tasks were recorded using 3 D videography and force plates. One
conclusion from the study was that force on the ACL was greatest during the landing
phase of a jump tasks. Females frequently showed more leg extension and valgus
movements during the landing phase, which also puts more stress on the ACL

Introduction
The accidental introduction of the red imported fire ant Solenopsis invicta Buren
(Hymenoptera: Formicidae: Myrmicinae) to Alabama between 1933 and 1945 led to
the eventual invasion of all of the southeastern US. Once established, the species
quickly developed a reputation for both its sting and its ability to rapidly invade new
habitats. As S. invicta expanded its range out of urban centers and into various other
habitats, concerns arose about the ability of the species to invade pristine systems and
displace native ant species. Yet, research has found that S. invicta is less of a
superior competitor and more of an opportunistic, disturbance specialist. For example,

The Relief Of Pain Is An Essential Component Of A
Hospital...
The relief of pain is an essential component of pre hospital care for paramedics,
paramedics have a large arsenal of drugs to hand with analgesic effects; the most
potent of these being the Opioid based drug Morphine Sulphate, which Nancy
Caroline (2013) states to be the gold standard for parental analgesia. Although at
times it can be found that MorphineSulphate isn t efficient in pain management and
coupled with this is a large degree of potential side effects. Thus being said is there
an opportunity for further analgesicdrugs to be added to the already large and ever
growing arsenal of drugs paramedics can administer?
Ketamine is now being used by critical care paramedics and physicians on board
HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services). T Nutbeam et al., (2013) advise
that ketamine should be used by or under the direction of medical practitioners
experienced in administering general anaesthetics. There are many features of
Ketamine that see to make it an ideal drug for pre hospital use (Wedmore Is et al.,
2005); this is echoed by that of Grofit et al., (197) whom state that Ketamine is a
safe and effective drug to be used in the pre hospital setting.
Ketamine is a general anaesthetic with analgesic properties; analgesic as described
by Nancy Caroline (2013) is the absence of the sensation of pain, ketamine has this
affect by creating an out of body sensation that removes the patient from the pain
stimuli.
