Comparison Of Barbie Doll And A Work Of Artifice
In two poems, the American poet, novelist, and social activist Marge Piercy addressed the seriousness
of gender roles and oppression of women. She does so in her poems Barbie Doll and A Work of
Artifice. After examining them closely, the use of imagery and tone show two different outlooks on
the topic. In the first poem, Marge shows that a woman changes herself, while in the second poem she
writes that woman are changed forcefully.
In each poem, we see immense vivid and powerful imagery. In Barbie Doll we see the entire life of a
woman. It starts at a young age, where she plays with dolls and toy ovens, starting her confines of her
role. It moves onto teen years where more and more people would stop seeing her and start seeing

Anal Sex Is The Act Of A Penis Being Inserted Into A...
Aaron Ikan, 13592100, Soc 64, Essay 1 on Sexual Activity Anal sex is the act of a penis being inserted
into a partner s anus. The act can be between male and female, or two males. The act can be
pleasurable to some, and hurt for others. Anal sex can also be used to help reduce the risk of
pregnancy, but not necessarily STD s. I will compare anal sex in the United States today to anal sex
during the time of the Ancient Greeks (800 B.C. to 500 B.C.). The activity is similar in a few ways,
but there are plenty of differences. A similarity would be that a lot of the anal sex took place between
two males. The U.S., however had more instances of anal sex between heterosexual partners. In the
modern day U.S., anal sex is commonly referred ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, some people may view anal sex as dirty because it involves the anus. Finally, there s anal sex
between two men. The social attitudes will vary depending upon the beliefs of each person. Obviously,
people who are anti gay will argue that anal sex is bad because they believe that sex should only
happen to procreate. As for people who do support gay rights, then they may be all for it. Some,
however, will stress the importance of protection because of the risk of STD s. So overall, the social
norms/attitudes of anal sex in America today are mixed, but it is clear that people are generally more
open to it than before. The Ancient Greeks (800 B.C. to 500 B.C.) were known to participate in anal
sex. Their acts mostly involved two males. The interesting part is that lots of anal sex took place
between young teen and older man. The older man would usually be in his mid to late 20s and the
young man would be any age after puberty up to 18. This is called Pederasty (Holmen 2010). The
Greeks, for the most part, did not condemn or criticize the act, but the actually encouraged, or at least
permitted, it. Older men desired for sex, and viewed their wives as just the child bearer. They looked
to young men to appease their sexual desires. Younger males would seek mentorship, and the older
males would teach them (Holmen 2010; Miko 2016). Many societies in Ancient Greece saw anal sex
between males of different age groups as a rite of passage.

What Is The Federal Republic Of Germany
The Federal Republic of Germany is a country located in north central Europe and the seventh largest
country in Europe. The country lies at the center of Europe and shares more borders with other
countries than any other in Europe. The capital city is Berlin, which is over 775 years old and is the
most populated city in the country. Before the nation of Germany formed, it was the capital of Prussia,
that later developed into the Federal Republic of Germany. The country borders not only other
countries, but also the Baltic Sea to the north west and the North Sea to the northeast. The landscape is
diverse and ranges from flat plains utilized for farming to mountains enjoyed for skiing. The land of
Germany has over 300 lakes and rivers that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Along with the ancient sites are majestic castles such as the one made famous by Walt Disney, the
Neuschwanstein Castle, located near the village Hohenschwangau and built during the 19th century.
The oldest inhabited is Meersburg Castle, located in Baden Württemberg and built 630. There are
World War II sites and museums such as Lichtenburg concentration camp near Wittenburg and follow
in the footsteps of American and other Allied soldiers on a cruise on the Rhine River.
The different peoples moving into and out brought their unique cultures and added to the mixture that
became Germany. The first known people to settle in Germany was the Celts, who lived there before
the birth of Christ. Words from the Celtic language became part of what would later develop into the
German Language. The name of the Danube, Neckar, and Rhine Rivers, were names left over by the
Celts. The Celts were great traders and left behind trade routes that the Romans subsequently reused
and improved. Julius Ceaser, Roman Emperor, gave the area east of the Rhine the name of Germania
and the Romans ruled Germany for two hundred years. Also, they brought with them the religion of
Christianity and their laws which influenced the structure of German law. The religion of Christianity
continues to be the primary religion of the nation today. After the deterioration of the Roman empire
in Germany, the Franks took control and introduced the feudal system, a hereditary

How To Get Rid Of Bed Mites
Want to know how to get rid of bed mites?
Also called dust mites, this little intruder is probably not something you have given a lot of thought to.
However, you may find an improvement in your health if you limit exposure to them.
Sadly, you cannot get rid of bed mites completely. This is impossible, they thrive in so many places
around the home.
Your towels, carpets, furniture, if you have young children they live in their stuffed animals, clothing
and of course the bed.
This is the one place I struggle with, knowing they are in my bed at night.
I can t stand to think about them crawling around while I am trying to get a good nights sleep.
I am a neat freak, and if you are anything like me, and always make a point of making the bed in the
mornings. Welcome to part of the problem. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How To Get Rid Of Bed Mites
Don t make the bed in the mornings, pure and simple.
When I first read about why making the bed first thing in the mornings is bad for health. I
immediately rushed upstairs and unmade the bed.
While you sleep you lose skin cells and sweat. Bed mites love this, and you sleep among their
droppings. Makes me shudder.
If the first thing you do in the morning is jump out of bed when the alarm goes off, and go ahead to
make the bed. Getting a well organised start to the day.
Then you may want to do something else and leave the bed

New York Times Scandal
The New York Times begins by stating that As an independent counsel issued a fresh wave of White
House subpoenas, President Clinton today denied accusations of having had a sexual affair with a 21
year old White House intern and promised to cooperate with prosecutors investigating whether the
President obstructed justice and sought to have the reported liaison covered up (Clines and Gerth 1).
Although the statement is true, minuscule bias can already be detected. By including the age of the
intern, mentioning that the President may have obstructed justice, and implying a coverup, the New
York Times seems to deem the President as a guilty party. Throughout the article, different parties are
discussed and analyzed in their role in the scandal. Certain parties are treated differently in terms of
tone and diction. This raises red flags, but, still, the information important to the situation is included.
In terms of credibility, however, the article posses ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the article progresses, Mitchell, the author, delves into the difficulty of continuing governmental duties
while the weight of an investigation hinders the efficiency. No bias against any one person or party is
included in the article, yet the author himself has his own interpretation on the situation at hand. The
left leaning nature of the Times seems to be absent in this report as no political bias is

Application Of A Smart Home System Essay
Now in smart home system and abroad there found a wide variety of household appliances. These
appliances are mostly used by the user and thus accumulating huge amount of life related data. This
data contains wide information about user behaviour. Collecting this data and mining it for user
behaviour analysis is now creating more interest in researchers. This paper approaches the improved
techniques for data mining and focuses on reduction of delay of user behaviour analysis using these
improved data mining techniques.

I. INTRODUCTION
A smart home system has always under attention of global IT people and home appliances
manufacturers. A fully fledged smart home system will contain a wide variety of household
appliances. With the improvement in living standards of people, smart home is becoming the next
standard of home life. Smart home not only gives users a safe, healthy and comfortable living
environment, but also helps users to remotely monitor their home state with control home appliances.

The Ethics Of Abortion And Abortion
The Ethics of Abortion
Abortion, which according to the Merriam Webster dictionary (n.d.) refers to any action that is taken
to prematurely end the life of a growing fetus in its mother s womb before it is born, is a very
controversial topic in our society today. Every day, several women die as a result of lack of access to
proper abortion facilities (Kaczor, 2013). It has been estimated that 2% of women within childbearing
age i.e. ages 15 to 44 will have an abortion (Medoff, 2013) and the yearly number of abortions
worldwide is estimated to be around 46 million ( Kaczor,2015). This statistic is further increased due
to the society s perception of the morality and ethicality of abortion. Pro life supporters argue that life
begins at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite this law, the regulation of abortion is still left to provincial government and this has led to
various interpretations of R v Morgentaler (Johnstone Macfarlane, 2015). These various provincial
regulations have contributed to the inaccessibility of abortion to several women across the country
(Sethna, 2012; Vogel, 2015).
Arguments from both sides
Pro life
The pro life movement believes in the sanctity of human life which they say begins right from the
conception of the child (Zuradzki, 2014; Seipel 2014). According to Pro life supporters, an embryo
has the right to a full moral status and right to life as any other human being (Zuradzki, 2014; Seipel
2014). Religion plays a big role in emphasizing and propagating the anti abortion movement and also
influences the views of several Canadians on abortion (Saurette Gordon, 2013). Religious views,
especially those taken from the Christian perspective, believes in the sanctity of life and views
abortion as murder which is a sin (Zuradzki, 2014).
Pro choice
Supporters of abortion rights argue that a woman s decision to abort a fetus is in alignment with the
right to freedom and choice (Seipel, 2014). They argue that the concept of whether or not a fetus can
be regarded as a person should not infringe on the right of the mother to make choices without the
interference of the state (Seipel, 2014). They also argue that the concept of personhood is subject to a
person s personal and moral judgment and that one

Comparing Bob Marley s Life And Music
Bob Marley Music is life, music is value, music means everything to race, family nation. All of that
can get to the soul, saving peoples life even. Bob Marley gave us all of that, he was an inspiration to
everybody. Gaining confidence while giving it. He was unique with his music, taking words from the
streets he was from while focusing on the difficulties of black people worldwide. This man gave us
confidence and got us to look at the world in a different way and that right there is why we should
recognize Bob Marley for everything he done. Bob would forever remain the unique product, with his
poetic worldview as well as his music by the tough ghetto streets. His overnight smash played an
important role in Jamaican music circles. Which made it possible for him to write raw for and about
people of the west Indian slums. In 1970 Marley s ongoing distillation of reggae forms blossomed into

Sensors And Instrumentation
An Introduction to Sensors and Instrumentation
Chapter 1 Introduction to Sensors and Transducers
Instrumentation is defined as the art and science of measurement and control which is considered as
working with instruments used to measure, record, and control process variables (for examples, fluid
level and flow, temperature, and pressure). Control and measurement systems are very widely used in
the petroleum product (oil and gas) industries, chemical and fertilizer industry, the pulp and paper
industry, power generation, food processing and several other complex process. Control systems have
attained significant applications in automotive industrial processes for the improved productivity,
conserved entry, and reduced pollution. Instrumentation and control systems continue to be an
extremely important field of technology with the rapid growth of industrial sector.
Instruments are devices which are used to measure attributes of physical systems. The variable
measured includes practically any measurable variable (called measurand) related to the physical
sciences. These variables commonly include: Electrical quantities such as voltage, current , frequency

Costco Wholesale Corporation And Macy s, Inc.
Introduction
As a junior at San Jose State University, I have a little over a year to figure out plans for my future
career before my educational career comes to an end. Being a student of accounting, there is an
overwhelmingly large variety of companies at which I could work. This paper will allow me to narrow
down these companies by place importance on my own preferences for a company. This will be done
by analyzing and evaluating two firms relevant to my degree. Based on criteria I have selected,
including but not limited to company size and geographic features, culture and values, company
successes, employee benefits, and social responsibility, as well as a situational analysis of current
external and internal trends, I will focus my research on Costco Wholesale Corporation and Macy s,
Inc..
After researching the backgrounds and company profiles of Costco Wholesale and Macy s, I learned
about their current products and services as well as an analysis of their strengths, weaknesses, threats,
and opportunities. I utilized resources that included each company s corporate websites, company
profiles and SWOT analyses from electronic databases, and other reputable online sources. This
information, which will be synthesized within the rest of this paper, has better allowed me to make a
decision over which company is right for me. Between the two companies, I have found that ????
meets my needs more so than ??? as an ideal workplace. However, neither of the companies meet a

Similarities Between Death Of A Salesman And Soucouyant
Memory and Memory loss in Death of a Salesman and Soucouyant
The Death of a Salesman and Soucouyant both broach the topic of memory, in opposite but
complementary ways. Where Death is about falsifying positive memories, and Soucouyant is about
forgetting to forget . Where adeles memories are a trauma, and very much tried to forget, willies
memories are a solace to him, and a way for him to cope with his failures. Both detail an
unchronological slip of a figure into mental illness, and both end in death. Both glorify the American
dream (in the case of soucouyant, the Canadian dream) and the main characters of both are outliers on
this dream, coming close but never seeming to reach it. However, in Adele and Rogers case, this is due

Justice In The Count Of Monte Cristo
Journeying through the world that Alexandre Dumas creates in The Count of Monte Cristo, many
argue that the motive for Dantes s actions is revenge; however, a major change in his character takes
place that portrays his motive to be that of justice. The main character, Edmond Dantes, starts off
earning a successful living, but due to the jealousy of his acquaintances and the corruption of the
justice system, he is falsely convicted of treason, punishable by a life sentence. He suffers from his
innocence and eventually escapes prison after fourteen years with a hunger for revenge towards those
who wronged him. This hunger later transforms into a desire to serve justice that the society s system
failed in doing. In this change, Dantes remains ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is in this stage that Dantes is a capable sailor, devoted son, faithful lover, totally honest with his
relations with the world, he is not without a certain lack of foresight and a too easy unawareness of the
evil lurking in the hearts of his associates (Marinetti 262). This ignorance is what makes him more
susceptible to attacks by those around him because he only sees the good in people and is
consequently unaware of their evil side. In this way, it would seem that Dantes was responsible for his
initial downfall in that if he were more aware of the existence of both good and bad in the world, he
would have been less vulnerable to the plots of his so called friends. At one point later in the story,
Dantes proclaims, I am not proud, but I am happy; and happiness blinds, I think, more than pride
(Dumas 31). Dantes recognizes that his happiness and innocence is what blinded him and made him
vulnerable. In the beginning of the story, Dantes is earning his success and having his whole life
planned out with his fiance Mercedes. Dantes initial happiness coincides with his innocence, as it
blinded him from the evil plots of his colleagues. It is thus concluded that the justice system must be
flawed from the fact that Dantes is suffering even though he is innocent; this corruption acts as a
catalyst for Dantes s

Biography of Fidel Castro
Fidel Castro was born on August 13, 1926 in the Bíran, Cuba. (See Figure 5) Fidel grew up in
wealthier circumstances than most Cubans at the time, amid the massive and growing poverty. His
father, Ángel Castro y Argiz, was originally an immigrant from Spain. During Fidel s childhood,
Ángel was a fairly prosperous sugarcane farmer on a farm that had been dominated by United States
owned United Fruit Company. His mother, Lina Ruz Gonzalez, was a maid to Angel s first wife,
during Fidel s infancy. By the time Fidel was fifteen, his father disbanded his first marriage and wed
Lina, who is seen by Fidel to be his true mother. Fidel was educated in private Jesuit boarding schools.

Castro continued to use guerrilla attacks and gained large numbers of radical followers. Using these
guerrilla warfare tactics, Castro became known as the Guerilla Prince and with his supporters, he
attacked Batista s forces, conquering and overtaking numerous towns and cities. Batista quickly lost
much of his popular support and suffered many embarrassing defeats. Finally, on January 1, 1959,
Batista fled Cuba and went into exile, leaving the Cuban government in need of a president and
somebody to get rid of the corruption that had previously plagued the country.
Manuel Urrutia, a very liberal Cuban lawyer and politician, was placed as president of Cuba, and
Castro was placed in charge of the military. However, by July of 1959, Castro had easily and
effectively taken over as leader of Cuba, which he would remain as, for the next four decades. (See

How Does A Horse See The World, By Herschel B.
With the advent of Modernism in the early twentieth century, many artists and critics began making
theoretical pronouncements about their works and ideas. Using three different artists and their writings
from the Theories of Modern Art book by Herschel B. Chipp. I will study the artist s works and ideas
in relation to the role of art in their society, the role of traditional practices in art, their view on nature
versus reality, and their view on the relationship between art and truth. The three artists and works will

Truth is always on the move. It is always somewhere, but never in the foreground, never on the

artwork or maybe that was simply how he felt at that time. Marc s words conveyed an elusive quality
to truth, that they cannot be seen or touched so easily as Matisse implied. I think this elusiveness is
best symbolized in his Stables. In Abstract Art, Concrete Art, page 390, Jean Arp expressed his idea of
a main truth, that artists do not want to copy nature but produce it. That they wish to create their own
art directly and not have to interpret it from nature. As I was reading it felt like Arp had a good
understanding of what he believed to be the important truths in art and he continually strived to create
artwork that conveyed those ideas, as can be seen in his Birds in an

The Story Of Ghosts By Henrik Ibsen
Duty To Death The story of Ghosts by Henrik Ibsen shows us a multitude of issues, whether the
readers think the piece as a basic form of literature or believe that the scripture shows the issues and
lies or the fighting facts of injustice in the text. The constant fight between free will and duty in this
story triumphs the characters of Mrs. Alving and Pastor Manders as they convene over what they think
is right and what they are bound to do, even as the smaller character of Regine slightly deals with the
same issue.
Duty comes up in repeated cycles throughout the script of Ghosts, and the roles people are bound to in
their life relays to the role they act in society. The duty of Mrs. Alving is no soft tale, as we are told of
her husband s horrid affairs. The wife and mother of her nature and setting is duty bound to protect her
husband s reputation, no matter how unsavory he is, and to sacrifice everything for her son. In return,
the son must love his mother. In a way, we question the duty of the mother and ask whether or not it
was right of Mrs. Alving to cover her husband s actions from her son, Osvald. Despite Ibsen s opinion
of conspiracy, the cover up and how he writes the script as if he supports the hiding and the sacrifice,
the reader on their own must make a choice in the matter. For Mrs. Alving to know her motherly duty
and protect her son during his young years was a courageous execution for the paths she found
available. As said by George Bernard Shaw in

Witches And The Witch Trials
In Europe from the late fifteenth to early seventeenth centuries many people, both men and women,
were persecuted as witches. The reasons for the persecution of individuals as witches included gender
discrimination, religious fanaticism, an explanation for the otherwise unexplainable events that took
place, and even as a way for secular officials to gain more wealth. Misogyny being a cause to the
witch trials may have resulted from the new roles of women in society conflicting with the traditional
views of women as sinful, and also accounts for why the majority of individuals persecuted were
women. A religious spark was ignited during the Protestant Reformation as people became more
religiously devoted and wanted to eliminate threats to their faith, such as witches. Many strange
occurrences such as disease or even non harmful events that were simply unexplainable led people to
believe witches as the causes. Some people may have not even believed another person to be a witch
but may have just wanted wealth and that person s possessions and declared them a witch for that
reason. All these factors contributed to the period now known as the witch craze, which resulted in the
torture and death of many people.
One of the main factors in the persecution of witches comes from the men of the time s misogynistic
attitudes. During this time, women were beginning to take more prominent roles in society, like the
notable humanist Christine de Pizan or The First Lady of the Renaissance,

Comparision Of Microscale Masses Of Hydrogen And Oxygen
Abstract
In this experiment, microscale quantities of hydrogen and oxygen were generated to test their
explosive nature both separately and in mixtures of various proportions in order to identify the mixture
with the most explosive energy, via a pop test that measured relative loudness, thus determining the
optimal ratio for their combustion reaction to give water, and determine a mole ratio for the reaction in
a balanced equation. Each gas mixture was then tested for power as fuel through the launching of a
micro mole rocket. The gases were produced via two separate generators which isolated a chemical
reaction to either produce oxygen or hydrogen gas, the reactions included the single replacement
reaction reaction of zinc and hydrochloric acid to generate hydrogen gas, and the yeast catalyzed
decomposition of hydrogen peroxide to generate oxygen gas ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Gas collection bulbs were filled with different proportions of each gas, proportional to the number of
moles of gas present, and were tested for relative loudness, which represented power/ explosive
energy via a pop test in which a match was struck near the bulb. The loudness was measured via a
scale in which the most explosive mixture was given a ten and the least explosive given a zero. The
ratios were tested for their ability to launch the bulb a distance during a rocket launch in which the
bulb rocket was placed on a launch pad and ignited by a piezo sparker. Both dependent variables,
distance and loudness represented overall explosion energy and were used to indicate which of the
ratios represented the optimum ratio of hydrogen and oxygen to give water in a combustion reaction.
To be considered valid, the amount of error in each data point must have fallen into the range of
average deviation of the measurements. Data was error prone for relative loudness was measured

ABSTRACT
This experiment was used to explore how finite resources can be used and exploited when they are
shared throughout a group because of personal greed. The Tragedy of the Commons is the situation
where individuals shared a resource with others, but use the resource for their personal gain,
disregarding the impact it could have on the rest of the group and the fact that it is a finite resource.

In Part II, I got different results because as a group we did not exploit the resources in either of the
ponds
In Part I, I took as many fish as I could, but in Part II, as a group we took only as much as we needed
to survive
If you cooperated that meant that everyone survived and the pond would not run out of fish.
In both the common and private pond I took only two fish so that the population of the pond would
reach carrying capacity for the start of each round.
Common usage can lead to exploitation because one of the members of the group could get greedy
and exploit the pond for everybody.
The ideal way to manage the common pond would be so that each party would only take what they
need so that the population of the pond could replenish for each round.
If I didn t know the students in my group I wouldn t want to communicate as much.
To avoid the tragedy of the commons there should be limits on how much of a resource people can use
over a certain time so that it doesn t get exploited.
If a new student joined my group we would not have been able to divide the fish up evenly to
everyone and that student might not have wanted to be as conservative as the rest of the people in my

outside world but when you look at Russel Edson s Ape you are thrust into this strange story of a
couple sitting around the dinner eating an ape. We have no clue if this is referring to some sort of
hidden meaning or if in fact they are just enjoying a strange meal. On top of the strange decision for a

To Build A Fire Conscience

Investigation of Conscience and Man s Psych in To Build A Fire The underlying themes of morality
and importance of conscience in a time of desperation and trouble are intertwined in Jack London s
work To Build A Fire. The idea of instinct over intellect plays a huge role in this naturalistic story, but
perhaps the greater influence in the story is the power of morality in the final breaths of life. Through
the parallelism of existentialism and humanism, the battle with religious sin that makes us human, the
unveiling of the American dream in context to man s wants, and man s final judgment, London weaves
a story of survival that explores the persona of man in the midst of ... Show more content on

American freedom and individuality have often been expressed in, and celebrated by stories of
exploration, adventure, enterprise, and the pursuit of gain: the conquest of the prairie, the settling of
the West, the taming of the wilderness, the gold rush, and the mastery of nature through science,
industry, and technology (Bjorkland 3). Jack London s story offers us a picture of one such fortune
hunting, rugged individual. London took part in the Klondike gold rush, and though he failed as a
miner, he struck gold with stories drawing on the places and people he encountered during those hope
filled and brutal times in the Northwest Territory. In To Build A Fire, the man s passion to explore and
make a better life for himself was destroyed by the ultimate fate of nature. Jim Cullen explores the
meaning of the American Dream, or rather the several American Dreams that have both reflected and
shaped American identity from the Pilgrims to the present in his book, The American Dream. Cullen
notes that the United States, unlike most other nations, defines itself not on the facts of blood, religion,
language, geography, or shared history, but on a set of ideals expressed in the Declaration of
Independence and consolidated in the Constitution (Cullen 19). At the core of these ideals lies the
ambiguous concept of the American Dream, a concept that for better or worse has proven to

A Study Of History Coupled With Kuhn s Model For...
Delbruck s application of science to the study of history coupled with Kuhn s model for scientific
revolutions sheds light on the German High Command s inability to adapt its strategy during World
War I. To begin, Kuhn s model addresses how scientists arrive at new knowledge from periodic
revolutions or paradigm shifts. Normal science is research based on achievements where established
rules and standards leave little disagreement among practitioners concerning the fundamentals.
Consequently, problem solving uses a predetermined solution that generally fails to account for
anomalies. Scientists become aware of this, yet they hold on to the existing theory. This continues
until the theory weakens and other possibilities are considered. At a given point, crisis occurs which
might initiate a scientific revolution. Once the revolution occurs, the new paradigm often requires
rewriting texts on the subject area. Comparatively, Delbruck s use of various scientific methodologies
resulted in new ideas offering new explanations concerning historical events. Delbruck traced the
evolution of tactics by checking facts and taking note of anomalies where he reconstructed battles
from the Persian Wars to those of Napoleon. Delbruck then connected the character and design of the
state with the tactics and strategy it employed. Discovering that warfare differed from one era to the
next, his studies overturned many common interpretations of historical events. With that, Delbruck

Snap Shot Research Paper
Snap Shot of Religious Structures Through the Ages In ancient times there was always a main focus or
theme to art that was created. Majority of the time this focus was on religion. Religion has inspired
many artists to create great paintings, sculpture, and architecture. In this paper, I will focus mainly on
religious architecture, beginning with Greece, reflecting on Rome, traveling to Tunisia, and ending in
India. Though the structures being covered are different in religion and time period, they all have one
thing in common, they are spaces that create a spiritual experience for an individual. The Parthenon at
the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, built between 447 BCE and 432 BCE to honor the Greek goddess
Athena. The Parthenon located in the acropolis is located on the top of a big hill. This could be a tactic
to protect the structure from invaders, however, this is also symbolic of wanting to be closer to the
gods, in this case closer to Athena. This great architectural piece made of huge slabs of marble creates
a sense of grandness only the gods deserved. The architect included relief sculpture of larger than ...

School Tryout Essay
There has long been a disagreement about whether schools should hold tryouts for competitive sports
teams, for the reason that many people hold varying opinions on this issue. Despite the fact that an
incredible amount of citizens believe that students should be allowed to participate in athletics without
trying out, numerous people disagree with that position. Some people argue that tryouts are a
traditional way to choose the best students on the spot, or instead, tryouts could result as an emotional
breakdown. But the truth of the matter is that students should be trying out for a competitive sport
team. One main reason is that having tryouts allows students to push to try harder, and learn life
lessons. The last reason is, if it weren t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without tryouts, students wouldn t learn that not everything is handed to them for free. This is why
schools need to permit tryouts.
Another reason schools should execute tryouts is because if it weren t for tryouts, there would be too
many students on a team, and it can be chaotic. According to Dr. Allen Goldberg, he states, If there s
too many kids on one team, kids won t get the fair amount of playing time that they deserve.
(Goldberg, 2015). Skeptics believe that every student (either an advanced or average youth athlete)
should get the equivalent amount of playing time during a game, yet many disagree with the opinion.
Sharing play time with average students is unfair to children who are highly skilled in this certain
sport. For example, a spontaneous youth athlete can work very hard during practices, while other
athletes could slack off during the process. It is unfair to the athletes who are concentrated during
practices to share play time with students who do not work for the win at all. They deserve the
appropriate amount of playtime because they ve worked so hard during practices for the particular
game. This is also very huge because coaches want the most skilled children on the team so they can
achieve the gold. This is why tryouts should be handled with competitive sports teams. Additionally,
Budgets aren t large enough to cover all costs players need. (Matz, 2015). This statement shows that

Short Speech On Competition
One of the most thrilling peculiarities about life on earth is: it is competitive. The forces of nature
encourage competition, as individuals with exceptional abilities succeed in getting the best life has to
offer; while the rest are left with little or nothing.
Competition, According to Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary (2006: 294) is a situation in which
people or organizations compete with each other for something that not everyone can have. Education,
on the other hand, is a process of teaching, training and learning, especially in schools or colleges, to
improve knowledge and develop skills (ibid, 2006: 467).
Competition exists in all facets of life. Education is no exception. Education without competition is
akin to eating boiled rice without stew or soup. How distasteful! Hardly would anyone want to eat
such a meal, as it is of less nutritional value. Thus, for education to remain relevant ... Show more

Bronfenbrenner s Ecological Systems Theory And Its Impact...
The purpose of this essay is to provide an overview of Bronfenbrenner s ecological systems theory
and its impact on early childhood development. The researcher will review key literature to present a
background of the ecological approach. Furthermore, the researcher will discuss how to implement the
ecological approach to develop a quality learning environment for early childhood education (i.e., for
children 0 8 years). A summary will conclude the essay.
Ecological Systems Theory Background Bronfenbrenner s ecological systems theory describes a child
s development within the context of the system of relationships that form his or her environment
(Paquette Ryan, 2001, p. 1). Notably, Bronfenbrenner was the cofounder of the head start program.
Most recently, researchers have changed the name of ecological systems to bioecological systems to
show the importance of a child s own biological environment. The child s biology was found to be a
fundamental factor of their environment and also development (Paquette Ryan, 2001). The theory is
composed of complex environmental levels, which influences the child s overall development. To
clarify, Bronfenbrenner developed three levels or systems, which includes (a) microsystem, (b)
mesosystem, and (c) exosystem (Paquette Ryan, 2001). The microsystem covers those elements a
child has direct interactions with, such as their family, school, or daycare. The mesosystem is
comprised of the child s indirect environment, such

Communication Problems Within The Workplace Essay
can we overcome obstacles to diversity such as mistrust and tension, stereotyping, and communication
problems in the workplace? Mistrust and tension usually result from lack of contact and lack of
familiarity. These can be overcome, to a large degree, by bringing individuals together in both formal
and informal settings so they learn to better understand and appreciate members of other groups.
Formal training, de signed to identify the causes of mistrust and tension, can also help in this process.
Stereotyping is the perception of others based our own interests, values, and cultures that distort and
block what we see and hear. Formal training ,through the use of descriptive examples, can be effective
in helping individuals identify the root causes of their stereotyping. In order to be able to change,
people must first understand what it is that distorts their perspectives. Communication problems exist
within all racial and cultural groups. Even among white males of the same age and background, there
are opportunities for misunderstandings and confusion. The potential for errors and inefficiencies
increases when the communications are between people with very different backgrounds, attitudes,
expectations, etc., and the situation is potentially dis Astros when one or more parties is not fluent in
another s language. Language training (in whatever language is used in the

Analysis Of The Film Waco-Rules Of Engagement
A cult, a term widely utilized within popular culture and American society to describe contemporary,
arguably, religious groups has garnered an extremely negative stigma. These media portrayed,
dangerous groups have over time been accumulating and growing amongst other religions. It is
definite that though, historically, these cults have been victims of marginalization, invalidation of their
beliefs and media/government harassment, many of these organizations are minimally nothing of the
demonized ameliorated image, that is enveloped by American society. Hence, from this point forward,
within the briefing piece , it is only with a deep understanding/a religious study interpretation to
acknowledge these groups as new religious movements (NRMs). As a standoff between the FBI and
the religious organization is inevitable, considering illegal acts may be occurring within the NRM, it is
with a better approach to look at the film Waco Rules of Engagement , directed by Amy Sommer, to
avoid any unlawful procedures that could possible occur with the group. Additionally, by gaining
insight with the help of Catherine L. Wessinger s article, How the Millennium Comes Violent the
agency could better handle the situation and avoid the effects of acting too hostile against the
organization. Apparent through watching the entirety of the film, Waco Rules of Engagement ,

CONTENT BASED IMAGE COMPRESSION USING DCT AND DWT TECHNIQUE
Abstract: Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) are the most
known methods used in digital image compression. Wavelet transform has better efficiency compared
to Fourier transform because it describe any type of signals both in time and frequency domain
simultaneously. In this paper, we will discuss the use of Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and
Discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) based Image compression Algorithmand compare the
efficiency of both methods. We do the numerical experiment by considering various types of images
and by applying DCT and DWT SPIHT to compress an image. We found that DWT yields better result
as compared to DCT.
In this paper, we will do comparison with discrete cosine transform (DCT) which is heart of JPEG
(Joint Photographic Experts Group) standard and widely used wavelet based image compression
algorithm set partitioning in hierarchical tree based on different performance measure such as Peak to
Noise Ratio (PSNR), Mean Square Error (MSE) and CR.

In the album recording of the song Billie messes up the opening chord progression twice before saying
a quiet explicative and playing the song correctly. The first couple weeks were pretty rough for me and
I often messed up or did things that I later regretted. This song is often played at graduations and
weddings, but this was not the intention of Billie Joe when he wrote the piece. Billie wrote it about a
breakup and his lyrics and style of the song is meant to be sarcastic and bitter. Unfortunately most

vary according to the product. Similarly, Wal Mart conveniently operates with low prices to cater its
demographic, but it cannot operate in as many locations. . If a firm has lower costs than its rivals,

Logically, Dollar Tree business model enriches the customer experience. Its stores are strategically

Scientific Explanation Of Reaction Lab Answers
Discussion of Results and Scientific Explanations:
The goal of this laboratory was learn how to use the Spectrophotometer to analyze the phosphate
content in colas. This is important because the consumers believe that the buffering capacity of
phosphate within the colas will settle their upset stomachs. A spectrophotometer, or Spec 20, measures
how much a chemical substance absorbs and transmits. The next goal is to determine the relationship
between absorbance and transmittance. Transmittance is a measurement of the amount of light that
passes through a substance. So if the transmittance is 100 percent then the absorbance is zero. Also
another vital goal is to analyze the relationship between absorbance and the wavelength of the two

Phosphate is not able to be absorbed alone so AVM, ammonium vanadomolybdate, is necessary to add
to give the solution a slight yellow color. This allows the solutions to be absorbed. Once this is
understood, you can start the experiment. Start by making a blank solution containing 6mL of water
and 3mL of AVM. Next, take .101M and use the equation M1V1=M2V2 to dilute the solution to
.0002M, this is shown in Calculation 8. Use this equation to make four dilutions of PO4 3 with AVM.
Samples of the four dilutions were run through the spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 360nm, and
percent transmittance for each was recorded. The four concentrations of PO4 3 are shown in Table 3.
Running the 4 diluted samples through the Spec 20 and finding the %T, between 18% and 85%,
allows you to determine the absorbance as well. Concentration and absorbance for PO4 3 is now able
to be compared which is shown in Figure 3. As concentration of the phosphate ion goes up, the
percent absorbance goes up, this is a direct relationship. This coincides with Beer s Law, A=abC, A
being the absorbance, C being the concentration, a being the absorptivity and b being the cell path
length.3 The higher concentration of a solution, the more light is absorbed. The slope of the
calibration curve is y=543949x 1.4302, y being the percent absorbance and x being the phosphate

What Are The Difference Between Yin And Yang And Taoism
Chinese culture is largely surrounded by the idea of balance. We see this in Yin and Yang, and a
balance between light and dark, or tall and short. While the Americanized version of this concept is
the difference between the two, the original concept looks at how yin and yang balance each other and
work together. This idea of balance is integrated in the idea of the five seasons and the elements that
represent those seasons. The five elements are also related to Taoism in many ways. Yin and Yang is
also part of the Chinese world creation myth. They believed that there was Wu Chi and then there was
Tai Chi, or nothing and then something. That something was Yin and Yang, or in balance. For example
When people find one thing beautiful another consequently becomes ugly. (Tzu, Pg.2) While this is
explaining Taoism, it also incompases the idea of Yin and Yang and how they complement each other
creating balance. From this something the World was born and Taoism came into being. Taoism is the
idea of man when he was connected to the earth and all it s creatures. This was known as The age of
perfect Virtue. ((Hoff, Pg.20). This idea was was originally introduced by Chuang Tse who was a
Chinese philosopher in around the 4th century B.C.E. He said In the Age of Perfect Virtue, men lived
among the animals and birds as members of one large family. There were no distinctions between
superior and Inferior to separate one man or species from another. All retained their natural virtue and
lived in the state of pure simplicity... We were once able to communicate with the creatures of the
earth, but then man became greedy and was cast out by the creatures losing its connections with the
beings. We became independent and killed animals for food. Some still remember our connection to
nature and teach it to those around them. From this came practices such as maintaining that balance

Also, some people may view anal sex as dirty because it involves the anus. Finally, there s anal sex between two men. The social attitudes will vary depending upon the beliefs of each person. Obviously, people who are anti gay will argue that anal sex is bad because they believe that sex should only happen to procreate. As for people who do support gay rights, then they may be all for it. Some, however, will stress the importance of protection because of the risk of STD s. So overall, the social norms/attitudes of anal sex in America today are mixed, but it is clear that people are generally more open to it than before. The Ancient Greeks (800 B.C. to 500 B.C.) were known to participate in anal sex. Their acts mostly involved two males. The interesting part is that lots of anal sex took place between young teen and older man. The older man would usually be in his mid to late 20s and the young man would be any age after puberty up to 18. This is called Pederasty (Holmen 2010). The Greeks, for the most part, did not condemn or criticize the act, but the actually encouraged, or at least permitted, it. Older men desired for sex, and viewed their wives as just the child bearer. They looked to young men to appease their sexual desires. Younger males would seek mentorship, and the older males would teach them (Holmen 2010; Miko 2016). Many societies in Ancient Greece saw anal sex between males of different age groups as a rite of passage. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Ethics Of Abortion And Abortion The Ethics of Abortion Abortion, which according to the Merriam Webster dictionary (n.d.) refers to any action that is taken to prematurely end the life of a growing fetus in its mother s womb before it is born, is a very controversial topic in our society today. Every day, several women die as a result of lack of access to proper abortion facilities (Kaczor, 2013). It has been estimated that 2% of women within childbearing age i.e. ages 15 to 44 will have an abortion (Medoff, 2013) and the yearly number of abortions worldwide is estimated to be around 46 million ( Kaczor,2015). It is in this stage that Dantes is a capable sailor, devoted son, faithful lover, totally honest with his relations with the world, he is not without a certain lack of foresight and a too easy unawareness of the evil lurking in the hearts of his associates (Marinetti 262). This ignorance is what makes him more susceptible to attacks by those around him because he only sees the good in people and is consequently unaware of their evil side. In this way, it would seem that Dantes was responsible for his initial downfall in that if he were more aware of the existence of both good and bad in the world, he would have been less vulnerable to the plots of his so called friends. At one point later in the story, Dantes proclaims, I am not proud, but I am happy; and happiness blinds, I think, more than pride (Dumas 31). Dantes recognizes that his happiness and innocence is what blinded him and made him vulnerable. In the beginning of the story, Dantes is earning his success and having his whole life planned out with his fiance Mercedes. Dantes initial happiness coincides with his innocence, as it blinded him from the evil plots of his colleagues. The Story Of Ghosts By Henrik Ibsen Duty To Death The story of Ghosts by Henrik Ibsen shows us a multitude of issues, whether the readers think the piece as a basic form of literature or believe that the scripture shows the issues and lies or the fighting facts of injustice in the text. The constant fight between free will and duty in this story triumphs the characters of Mrs. Alving and Pastor Manders as they convene over what they think is right and what they are bound to do, even as the smaller character of Regine slightly deals with the same issue. Duty comes up in repeated cycles throughout the script of Ghosts, and the roles people are bound to in their life relays to the role they act in society. The duty of Mrs. Alving is no soft tale, as we are told of her husband s horrid affairs. The wife and mother of her nature and setting is duty bound to protect her husband s reputation, no matter how unsavory he is, and to sacrifice everything for her son. In return, the son must love his mother. In a way, we question the duty of the mother and ask whether or not it was right of Mrs. Alving to cover her husband s actions from her son, Osvald. Despite Ibsen s opinion of conspiracy, the cover up and how he writes the script as if he supports the hiding and the sacrifice, the reader on their own must make a choice in the matter. For Mrs. Alving to know her motherly duty and protect her son during his young years was a courageous execution for the paths she found available. As said by George Bernard Shaw in ... • 18. Witches And The Witch Trials In Europe from the late fifteenth to early seventeenth centuries many people, both men and women, were persecuted as witches. The reasons for the persecution of individuals as witches included gender discrimination, religious fanaticism, an explanation for the otherwise unexplainable events that took place, and even as a way for secular officials to gain more wealth. Misogyny being a cause to the witch trials may have resulted from the new roles of women in society conflicting with the traditional views of women as sinful, and also accounts for why the majority of individuals persecuted were women. A religious spark was ignited during the Protestant Reformation as people became more religiously devoted and wanted to eliminate threats to their faith, such as witches. Many strange occurrences such as disease or even non harmful events that were simply unexplainable led people to believe witches as the causes. Some people may have not even believed another person to be a witch but may have just wanted wealth and that person s possessions and declared them a witch for that reason. All these factors contributed to the period now known as the witch craze, which resulted in the torture and death of many people. The idea of instinct over intellect plays a huge role in this naturalistic story, but perhaps the greater influence in the story is the power of morality in the final breaths of life. • 23. A Study Of History Coupled With Kuhn s Model For... Delbruck s application of science to the study of history coupled with Kuhn s model for scientific revolutions sheds light on the German High Command s inability to adapt its strategy during World War I. To begin, Kuhn s model addresses how scientists arrive at new knowledge from periodic revolutions or paradigm shifts. Normal science is research based on achievements where established rules and standards leave little disagreement among practitioners concerning the fundamentals. Consequently, problem solving uses a predetermined solution that generally fails to account for anomalies. Scientists become aware of this, yet they hold on to the existing theory. This continues until the theory weakens and other possibilities are considered. At a given point, crisis occurs which might initiate a scientific revolution. Once the revolution occurs, the new paradigm often requires rewriting texts on the subject area. Comparatively, Delbruck s use of various scientific methodologies resulted in new ideas offering new explanations concerning historical events. Delbruck traced the evolution of tactics by checking facts and taking note of anomalies where he reconstructed battles from the Persian Wars to those of Napoleon. Delbruck then connected the character and design of the state with the tactics and strategy it employed. Discovering that warfare differed from one era to the next, his studies overturned many common interpretations of historical events. With that, Delbruck ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. Snap Shot Research Paper Snap Shot of Religious Structures Through the Ages In ancient times there was always a main focus or theme to art that was created. Majority of the time this focus was on religion. Religion has inspired many artists to create great paintings, sculpture, and architecture. In this paper, I will focus mainly on religious architecture, beginning with Greece, reflecting on Rome, traveling to Tunisia, and ending in India. Though the structures being covered are different in religion and time period, they all have one thing in common, they are spaces that create a spiritual experience for an individual. The Parthenon at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, built between 447 BCE and 432 BCE to honor the Greek goddess Athena. The Parthenon located in the acropolis is located on the top of a big hill. This could be a tactic to protect the structure from invaders, however, this is also symbolic of wanting to be closer to the gods, in this case closer to Athena. This great architectural piece made of huge slabs of marble creates a sense of grandness only the gods deserved. The architect included relief sculpture of larger than ... School Tryout Essay There has long been a disagreement about whether schools should hold tryouts for competitive sports teams, for the reason that many people hold varying opinions on this issue. Despite the fact that an incredible amount of citizens believe that students should be allowed to participate in athletics without trying out, numerous people disagree with that position. Some people argue that tryouts are a traditional way to choose the best students on the spot, or instead, tryouts could result as an emotional breakdown. But the truth of the matter is that students should be trying out for a competitive sport team. One main reason is that having tryouts allows students to push to try harder, and learn life lessons. The last reason is, if it weren t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without tryouts, students wouldn t learn that not everything is handed to them for free. This is why schools need to permit tryouts. Another reason schools should execute tryouts is because if it weren t for tryouts, there would be too many students on a team, and it can be chaotic. According to Dr. Allen Goldberg, he states, If there s too many kids on one team, kids won t get the fair amount of playing time that they deserve. (Goldberg, 2015). Skeptics believe that every student (either an advanced or average youth athlete) should get the equivalent amount of playing time during a game, yet many disagree with the opinion. Sharing play time with average students is unfair to children who are highly skilled in this certain sport. For example, a spontaneous youth athlete can work very hard during practices, while other athletes could slack off during the process. It is unfair to the athletes who are concentrated during practices to share play time with students who do not work for the win at all. They deserve the appropriate amount of playtime because they ve worked so hard during practices for the particular game. This is also very huge because coaches want the most skilled children on the team so they can achieve the gold. This is why tryouts should be handled with competitive sports teams. Additionally, Budgets aren t large enough to cover all costs players need. (Matz, 2015). This statement shows that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. Short Speech On Competition One of the most thrilling peculiarities about life on earth is: it is competitive. The forces of nature encourage competition, as individuals with exceptional abilities succeed in getting the best life has to offer; while the rest are left with little or nothing. Competition, According to Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary (2006: 294) is a situation in which people or organizations compete with each other for something that not everyone can have. Education, on the other hand, is a process of teaching, training and learning, especially in schools or colleges, to improve knowledge and develop skills (ibid, 2006: 467). Competition exists in all facets of life. Education is no exception. Education without competition is akin to eating boiled rice without stew or soup. How distasteful! • 27. Bronfenbrenner s Ecological Systems Theory And Its Impact... The purpose of this essay is to provide an overview of Bronfenbrenner s ecological systems theory and its impact on early childhood development. The researcher will review key literature to present a background of the ecological approach. Furthermore, the researcher will discuss how to implement the ecological approach to develop a quality learning environment for early childhood education (i.e., for children 0 8 years). A summary will conclude the essay. Ecological Systems Theory Background Bronfenbrenner s ecological systems theory describes a child s development within the context of the system of relationships that form his or her environment (Paquette Ryan, 2001, p. 1). Notably, Bronfenbrenner was the cofounder of the head start program. Most recently, researchers have changed the name of ecological systems to bioecological systems to show the importance of a child s own biological environment. The child s biology was found to be a fundamental factor of their environment and also development (Paquette Ryan, 2001). The theory is composed of complex environmental levels, which influences the child s overall development. To clarify, Bronfenbrenner developed three levels or systems, which includes (a) microsystem, (b) mesosystem, and (c) exosystem (Paquette Ryan, 2001). The microsystem covers those elements a child has direct interactions with, such as their family, school, or daycare. The mesosystem is comprised of the child s indirect environment, such ... • 28. Communication Problems Within The Workplace Essay can we overcome obstacles to diversity such as mistrust and tension, stereotyping, and communication problems in the workplace? Mistrust and tension usually result from lack of contact and lack of familiarity. These can be overcome, to a large degree, by bringing individuals together in both formal and informal settings so they learn to better understand and appreciate members of other groups. Formal training, de signed to identify the causes of mistrust and tension, can also help in this process. Stereotyping is the perception of others based our own interests, values, and cultures that distort and block what we see and hear. Formal training ,through the use of descriptive examples, can be effective in helping individuals identify the root causes of their stereotyping. In order to be able to change, people must first understand what it is that distorts their perspectives. Communication problems exist within all racial and cultural groups. Even among white males of the same age and background, there are opportunities for misunderstandings and confusion. The potential for errors and inefficiencies increases when the communications are between people with very different backgrounds, attitudes, expectations, etc., and the situation is potentially dis Astros when one or more parties is not fluent in another s language. Wavelet transform has better efficiency compared to Fourier transform because it describe any type of signals both in time and frequency domain simultaneously. In this paper, we will discuss the use of Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) based Image compression Algorithmand compare the efficiency of both methods. We do the numerical experiment by considering various types of images and by applying DCT and DWT SPIHT to compress an image. We found that DWT yields better result as compared to DCT. In this paper, we will do comparison with discrete cosine transform (DCT) which is heart of JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) standard and widely used wavelet based image compression algorithm set partitioning in hierarchical tree based on different performance measure such as Peak to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Mean Square Error (MSE) and CR. Next, take .101M and use the equation M1V1=M2V2 to dilute the solution to .0002M, this is shown in Calculation 8. Use this equation to make four dilutions of PO4 3 with AVM. Samples of the four dilutions were run through the spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 360nm, and percent transmittance for each was recorded. The four concentrations of PO4 3 are shown in Table 3. • 40. What Are The Difference Between Yin And Yang And Taoism Chinese culture is largely surrounded by the idea of balance. We see this in Yin and Yang, and a balance between light and dark, or tall and short. While the Americanized version of this concept is the difference between the two, the original concept looks at how yin and yang balance each other and work together. This idea of balance is integrated in the idea of the five seasons and the elements that represent those seasons. The five elements are also related to Taoism in many ways. Yin and Yang is also part of the Chinese world creation myth. They believed that there was Wu Chi and then there was Tai Chi, or nothing and then something. That something was Yin and Yang, or in balance. For example When people find one thing beautiful another consequently becomes ugly. (Tzu, Pg.2) While this is explaining Taoism, it also incompases the idea of Yin and Yang and how they complement each other creating balance. From this something the World was born and Taoism came into being. Taoism is the idea of man when he was connected to the earth and all it s creatures. This was known as The age of perfect Virtue. ((Hoff, Pg.20). This idea was was originally introduced by Chuang Tse who was a Chinese philosopher in around the 4th century B.C.E. He said In the Age of Perfect Virtue, men lived among the animals and birds as members of one large family. There were no distinctions between superior and Inferior to separate one man or species from another. All retained their natural virtue and lived in the state of pure simplicity... We were once able to communicate with the creatures of the earth, but then man became greedy and was cast out by the creatures losing its connections with the beings. We became independent and killed animals for food. Some still remember our connection to nature and teach it to those around them. From this came practices such as maintaining that balance through the five seasons. The five seasons are spring, summer, late summer, autumn, and winter correspond with the five elements and each has its own things that are unique to it. The idea of the five elements originally came from the idea of yin and yang. The idea of how natural elements interact to create a balance. Ancient Chinese medical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
