The ones I sympathize with When I read The Pact , I felt some connection between the
characters; Sampson Davis, George Jenkins, and Hunt Rameck. Throughout their hardship and

Over the past couple of years we have certainly seen a drastic change in the Arab world dating
back to December of 2010 in Tunisia as protestors forced ruler Zine el Abidine Ben Ali to flee the
country. This was the beginning of the Arab spring, which saw a revolutionary wave spread across
many Arabic countries resulting in four leaders being forced from power in the countries of
Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen. The sociological perspective on conflict states that the world is
in a continual struggle and this is true as there is always going to be tension between two

As many people know poverty plagues many areas of North Africa and the Middle East and these
deprivations created a clash between expectations and reality. This will back up my point that
social justice and equality can only be attained through conflict. High unemployment, corruption,
social inequalities, deterioration of the economy and increases in food prices all led to fuelled
political demands (Dalacoura, 2012). Media also played a huge role in making the rebellion
possible as grievances were channeled into collective action. The Al Jazeera satellite channel
based in Qatar was able to broadcast the rebellion in Egypt and Tunisia all over the area, as
Facebook and Twitter helped the people organize revolts. Today s media is extremely powerful and
influential and it benefited demonstrators and protesters all over the Arab Worldin helping them
create change through conflict resolution (Dalacoura, 2012). These uprisings, however, were
answered differently by certain regimes. Over the past year and a half some rebellions were more
successful in overthrowing their governments then others. In some cases regimes were able to
stop the rebellion and in other cases it fuelled it. The way leaders responded to the uprising is
crucial in determining how it developed. Tunisian leader Ben Ali was taken by surprise, which
resulted in a slow and weak reaction and ultimately his resignation. On the other

autosomal recessive genetic disorder of copper metabolism that is characterized by hepatic and

Examinee Reflection
On February 20, 2016, I completed my fourth WISC V administration. I noticed several things that
I could have improved on as well as things that I did well on during the recorded administration.
The video began with me asking the examinee several rapport building questions. For example, I
asked him about his hobbies to get him to talk about what he liked to do in his free time. It is
important to build report with the examinee because he child is likely to be apprehensive before an
assessment. Rapport building helps increase the likelihood of a smooth administration and an

One of the most obvious environmental distractions was the voice over the intercom saying that the
Russell Union was closing soon. It was unexpected to both me and the examinee because I had
never tested in that building near closing time. The intercom warning was made twice near the end
of the administration. Another distraction was my phone. I had forgotten to turn the vibrate option
on my phone off during the administration so my phone rang several times. This could have
distracted the examinee during administration and affected his performance. It should be noted that
I used my phone to text the examinee s mother back when she inquired about the status of the

Farah Ahmedi Short Story
Farah Ahmedi is a determined girl who is looking to escape from Afghanistan. Wandering
Aengus is a man whose curiosity gets the best of him when a beautiful girl appears out of
nowhere. Walt Masters is a loyal boy who will do anything to protect others around him.
However, all three were persevering through the hardships that took place during their mission
of looking for a better life for others and themselves. Farah Ahmedi s mission was to get across
the Pakistani border with her mother. As Farah tried to get across the border she realized that
there was no way out, The gate to Pakistan was closed. My mother was clutching her side trying
to keep up. I felt desperate to get through (Para 1). Farah and her mother were struggling to get
through the border and soon gave up realizing that their efforts wouldn t do much good. They are
trying to escape their war torn country Afghanistan, to Pakistan. Farah s mother and her need to
get out of Afghanistan since they are living a cruel harsh life that is not ideal. Farah says, The
guards had clubs, and carbines [...] which they used as weapons (Para 2). When people that are
supposed to protect a country, are using weapons against that country, then that is an immediate
clue that it is a dangerous place. They don t want to get beaten to death or injured so they try to flee
the country like many others. Farrah and her mother were successful in completing the mission

The Broken Spears is a book written by Miguel Leon Portilla that gives accounts of the fall of the
Aztec Empire to the Spanish in the early 16th century. The book is much different from others
written about the defeat of the empire because it was written from the vantage point of the Aztecs
rather then the Spanish. Portilla describes in depth many different reasons why the Spanish were
successful in the defeat of such a strong Empire. Portilla starts out by giving a thorough
background of the culture and religious beliefs. The reader can draw many theories on how this

Cousins
Are we there yet? I called from the back of our car, Not yet bud. my father yelled over the
blasting radio. Vroom, vroom, vroom. the engine roared as my dad revved up the car. Every
year we get in the car and we head to our cousins house in Utah. I was going to go get some
snacks at the gas station. I didn t even realize how sweaty my hands were until I touched the
handle. I swiftly wiped my hands on my shorts and then hopped out of the car into the blazing hot
outdoors. Oh come on I thought when I landed on the surprisingly hot concrete. I scrambled up and
looked around to make sure none saw the embarrassing fall.
