What Are Emily Dickinson s Accomplishments
The Life, Works, and Achievements of Emily Dickinson
On December 10th, 1830, Emily Norcross Dickinson and Edward Dickinson gave birth to a
beautiful baby girl named Emily Elizabeth Dickinson (Poets). Little did any of them know that
Emily Dickinson would be a famous poet who continues to move people with her words to this
day! Though Emily Dickinson wouldn t receive any awards for her poetry, she is easily one of the
most inspiring and touching poets of all time. During her life, she wrote almost 1800 poems, but
only about 12 were published. Dickinson s fame only came after her death, but fame never seemed
to be something she wanted anyways (EmilyDickinsonMuseum).

She decided that they had to be published. Lavinia went to Mabel Loomis Todd and asked her to
help her get the poems published. She got Thomas Wentworth Higginson to be the co editor and
together they were able to publish Poems of Emily Dickinson . They published two more books
of poems by Emily Dickinson before running into a lawsuit with the Dickinson family. This
caused Todd to lose a bit of land and put a stop to Emily s poems being published, but eventually
Todd was back to publishing Emily s poems. Soon enough, Todd had published almost all of
Emily s poems. In 1955, Thomas H. Johnson took Emily Dickinson s poems put all of them in
chronological order and then published it as a complete book of all her poems known as The
Poems of Emily Dickinson . Then, Ralph W. Franklin published another version of The Poems of
Emily Dickinson that had correct punctuation and spelling

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and Unmanned...
UAVs Laws and Legislations The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has produced an
expedited certificate of authorization (COA) process for local law enforcement agencies to
operate unmanned aerial vehicles. The expedited COA process is part of the FAA s
reauthorization legislation the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 (P. L 1 12 95) which
was signed into law by President Barack Obama on Feb. 14, 2012. Federal, state and local
government entities must obtain a COA from the FAA before flying a UAV in the national
airspace, the agency says( Dorr 2014). Under the streamlined process, COAs will be available for
operations within a defined incident perimeter throughout an agency s jurisdiction. In addition, an

( Bureau of Counterterrorism 2013 ) The conflict of expedited certificate authorization for the
operation unmanned aerial vehicles is easily assessable to act on violations of civilian rights. In the
procedure of securing a certificate of authorization, there is little to no training of individuals with
in local law enforcement to act according me with in Federal or even state privacy regulations.
There is also the possibility that UAVs that carry chemical sniffers could be totally unencumbered
by privacy protections. (Federal Aviation Administration 2013) Although the potential contribution
of UAVs to sectors such as environmental protection, law enforcement and various commercial
activities is apparent, they still seem not to be ready for civilian use. This is due to several reasons,
including e.g. civilian UAVs (CUAVs) requiring different technological solutions such as optimized
platforms, different endurance requirements, dedicated payloads and different ground control
systems. An additional important problem to be solved is the integration of UAVs in the civilian
airspace, which will require the adoption of civilian airworthiness standards and proven safety
features. Last but not least trust has to be created, both at the public sectors and the commercial
community, that CUAVs have economic advantages ( Vanclay 2003) One of the main hyposisthist

Racial Disparities In America
The United States of America has become a police state. Racism, in America, is not dead, but
rather revived and practiced through the criminal justice system; blacks were the main targets of
police brutality and patrols. The prison system has been manipulated to put people of color in jail,
more than whites. Hispanics, now, are also becoming targets of the American policing system. How
can America change its policing strategies to being more just and fair? The United Statesshould stop
making racially biased legislation and patrol all neighborhoods equally. The legal system should
implement punishments that do not create more criminals, but rather help rehabilitate those who
are deemed criminals. America has had racial discrimination since... Show more content on

One could see that police are more likely to use force when threatened with charges for improper
usage of force, which strengthens the argument that police are not held as accountable for their
actions as they should be. In front of me was a child in whose world being stopped and frisked
was so regular, such a fact of everyday life, that he had reasonably concluded that it must be
lawful. (Zhao, Lai, Ren, Lawton, 2011). This quote shows that police are not held accountable for
their actions. Police are able to use legislation that unfairly targets minorities and be free from
liability. If policing in the United States is focused on minorities, then how can the country
advocate for liberty and justice for all? The criminal justice system should be defined when one
looks at how minorities are discriminated against in America s society today. That definition
includes the courts of law and the prison system. In America, there is five percent of the population
in the world, however; we house twenty five percent of the prison population of the world (Zhao,

Visiting the neighboring island of Santa Fe on one of our safaris is a day delving into the

A study by Spocter and Hopkins examined comprehensive comparative analysis the distribution of
neuropil across the areas of the neocortex of humans and our closest living relatives, chimpanzees.
According to the research article, meaning of the neuropil is an area in the nervous system
composed of unmyelinated axons, dendrites, and glial cell processes that form a synaptically dense
region. The researchers purpose of this study was analysis the neuropil fractional connectivity with
both hemispheres in six cytoarchitecture regions using image analysis techniques which they are

The American Crisis Thomas Paine Rhetorical Devices
The American Revolution was not only one of the most significant events in American history,
but also ignited the minds of many journalists and writers, such as Thomas Paine. Paine began
his career as a journalist in 1776 with the well known pamphlet Common Sense . By the end of
this year, he was enlisted in the American army and had begun to write a series of essays, entitled
The American Crisis . At the time these were written, morale was low in the army, and the
soldiers were suffering many hardships. So, George Washington ordered that Paine s essay was to
be read in front of the troops to inspire them to keep fighting. He sparked a revolutionary spirit
amongst the soldiers by using different methods of persuasion. In this excerpt from The American
Crisis, Number 1 , Paine used metaphors to provoke feelings of anger and indignation, imagery to
inspire his audience, and logic to blatantly show the contrast between mercy and disdain.... Show

This rhetorical device is called logos. Logos is used in this essay to persuade the audience that
they should continue to fight back, because it was clearly the best option the Americans had.
Paine used common sense when he stated that, It is the madness of folly to expect mercy from
those who have refused to do justice. He was saying that if the British have refused to represent
us in Parliament or negotiate, why do you think they will show us mercy in the Revolution? Paine
was saying that it was madness that the colonists, especially the soldiers, should expect Britain to
be kind to them in battle and should instead see how they disdain America. He was breaking down
all of the complexities of war and putting them into simple and logical terms so everyone could
understand that this was not going to be a war easily

Abstract
As the days go by the technology of the world advances too. We sit back as people present to us
these new inventions to improve our environment. Do you ever think back the materials and
supplies you use for your personal needs? Over consumption of natural resources is huge problem in
our world. With the new technological advances there are alternative ways to meet these needs. As
I sit in my environmental science class, we discuss what natural resources are being over consumed
not for our needs anymore, but for our wants. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our consumption patterns can be measured by our social status and acceptance. The bigger the
pressures upon a person to conform to safe and accepted social standards, the more they end up
expressing their aspirations and their individuality in terms of what they wear, drive, eats, what
they call home, their pattern of food serving, their hobbies . My invention is a bracelet that one
wears on a daily basis that keeps tracks of the consumption of natural resources. This monitoring
bracelet will help many become aware of the over use of natural resources that they use in their
everyday lives that they do not need. For example we use a calorimeter, multi meter, gas
chromatograph and mass spectrometer. Each of these measure a different natural resource.
As you look around where you are sitting, think about how many do not recycle at home and how
many leave the water running while they brush their teeth. Over consumption of natural resources
do not come into mind when you are using the significant resources that are slowly being
unavailable to us. In California, the third largest state of the United States of America, we have
been in a drought for four or more years, although government has made announcements, sent out
notices, set laws/restrictions, and made commercials to show on television. The state of California
is over populated and people are not really aware of what is going. Riverbanks that would usually

leader, the direction of the company will be to maintain its current mission but assess the thoughts
of every staff member and their objectives to maintaining the why. There is really nothing wrong
with the mission statement because it is straight to the point and very simplistic. However, what
appears to be the problem may be communication gaps or followers have just gotten bored or tired
following the mission statement. For instance, that the increased attention given to the workers by
management and researchers was the key to increased productivity (Eisenberg Goodall, 2004, p. 73).

Stylistic Characteristics Of The Blues
CH11 Question 1 There are several stylistic characteristics of the blues. The first one is the blue
notes, which is the bent technique for lowering the pitch of third and seventh scale degrees in the
major scale(259). The next one is the blue chorus, which is three line lyrics, and it contains fill
which is the instrument response of the call and response between vocal and instrument. The third
feature is the blue progression which is the form of the combination between tonic(I),
subdominant(IV), and dominant(V) chords. It is usually arranged as: I / IV I / V I . Another
characteristic is that the timbre of the vocals in blueshave a wide varieties. Every single piece of
blue music features a different kind of vocal texture. The rhythm in the blues has a characteristic
called swung which means the long short pattern of the rhythm. In all three pieces of music, the
blue note and the blue chorus are applied to the composition. The bent texture of the pitch and the
neat separation of the lyrics can be easily notice in the music. The call and response in vocals and
instruments, on the other hand, is not so obvious in Can t Help Lovin Dat Man, but I think,
though subtle, it is still there at the end of each line. The rhythm in the Muleskinner Blues is more
steady instead of the long short patterned swung. The swung is not so obvious in Can t Help
Lovin Dat Man, either. Overall, there are some standard blue style in all three pieces of music, but

The Western Frontier Is An Important Part Of American Society
The Western Frontier is an important part of American society that captures the archetypal
curiosity that ever American has in search of new opportunities. Frederick Jackson Turner s
essay titled, The Significance of the Frontier in American History explains the relevance of
westward expansion in the late nineteenth century. Turner describes the western frontier as the
meeting point between savagery and civilization because once one crosses the boundary from
the East to the West; the laws of civilization no longer apply. The West is characterized by its
lawlessness and violence as the settlers struggle to stake their claim on the rough terrain
(Turner). Two western classics that are complete polar opposites Willa Cather s My Antonia and
Cormac McCarthy s Blood Meridian both depict the civilized but also the savage aspects of the
western frontier. The difficult and ever changing geography of the American West shapes each
character in both stories, since the American West is a harsh and tedious environment, it allows
Darwin s principle of survival of the fittest to be tested. In My Antonia, the protagonist, Antonia, is
shown to the reader through the memory of Jim Burden as his childhood sweetheart. Antonia
represents the captivating and peaceful beauty of the western prairie even as it endures harsh
conditions. On the other hand, Blood Meridian portrays a horribly savage image of the West,
where one is in a dog eat dog world and must choose to kill or be killed. McCarthy

Theseus and the Minotaur Once upon a time there was a great king, king Minos. The king
attacked polis quite frequently since when ever he had nothing to do he would go off and attack
someone, but often it was Athens who he attacked. One day he was feeling like he needed to
fight a polis such as Athens. So he got all his ships ready to from Crete to Athens. Athens did not
like it when king Minos attacked, for they knew he had more power than they did. As the ships
came from Crete, king Aegean of Athens was trying to come up with a plan to have the Cretan s

the labryrinth, the giant maze made by Daedalus and a sword. The next morning they were

Theseus told one of the Athenian children to hold one end of the string when he set off. Once
Theseus was deep into the maze he heard a rumble and he knew that was Minotaur. He ran in to

Explain the mechanism referred to in the above statement...
Trade between advanced countries that are abundant in capital and skill and NIEs (Newly
Industrialising Economies) with their abundant supply of unskilled labour was raising the wages of
highly skilled workers and lowering the wages of less skilled workers in the skill and capital
abundant countries (Krugman, Obstfeld and Melitz). Explain the mechanism referred to in the
above statement using the Heckscher Ohlin model.
The Heckscher Ohlin model is extremely useful when illustrating how endowments of a particular
resource can influence trade between economies. The model shows us how comparative advantage
is explained somewhat by the relative abundance of certain resources, such as land, labour or
capital.
The Heckscher Ohlin (HO) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Assuming the demand schedule is identical in both countries, then without trade, Foreign s own
market equilibrium is at 1 and Home s equilibrium for cars is at 2 . When the two countries trade,
the relative world price converges to a point somewhere in between these two points at 3 .
We can see from the above illustration that trade leads to a convergence of world prices at point 3.
The Foreign economy will therefore export the good that has seen an increase in its relative price.
Now that we have seen how prices change under the assumptions of the HO model, I will now
explain how these changes have an impact on the distribution of income in countries open to
trade. A rise in the prices of cars increases the purchasing power of skilled labour (the abundant
factor) in the foreign country in terms of both goods. At the same time it decreases the purchasing
power of unskilled labour (the scarce factor) in terms of both goods. So by opening up to trade,
the owners of the abundant factor become better off, whilst owners of the scarce factor become
worse off.
Theoretically, opening to trade should increase the consumption possibilities for the whole
economy, allowing everyone to gain a higher utility. So why do some people become worse off,
post trade under the HO model? The underlying issue is that trade only changes relative prices of
factors, which has a direct effect on the relative earnings of those

Plague And Death In The Cairo Calendar
The Cairo Calendar restates the information that was presented within the Book of the Five Days
in Addition to the Year. The information which pertained to the birthdays of the five gods, as
well as the names of the epagomenal days; although in a slightly altered order as Spalinger
discussed to a great length, however the topic of plague and disease is still foremost. The
Egyptian text declares that the person who knows the names of the epagomenal days will not die
of the plague that persists during this time of year also that he will not be possessed by any
disease. The first part of the text speaks of the benefits one has if they know all of the names of the
epagomenal days, but, instead of text being about the reverence towards disease,... Show more

The individual performing the ritual demands that the enemies, death being one, must be
terminated during this period in time; this text allows a fresh new understanding of the Ancient
Egyptian opinion of the days in addition of the year . The Egyptian text may have also been
meant to be interpreted as the Egyptians seeing the epagomenal days as a time of purification,
meaning that their enemies , disease, plague, and death were to be terminated. The last statement
of the former quote, may they save , could be understood to be implying a connection to the
epagomenal days of the previous phrase, may their corpses . With the exegesis of purification in
mind it could possibly be use to describe other Ancient Egyptian texts, such as the plague of the
year which could be seen as some type of celestial plague with the purpose of ridding Egypt of its
enemies during the epagomenal period. The Myth of the Heavenly Cow may possibly fit this
formula as well, with raging Sekhmet being sent to eradicate mankind when they started to riot
against Ra (Re). The Cairo Calendar text provides more support, with several prayers to the gods,
all with the common form O (god + title). Will you protect me from any bad/ evil things, from
any slaughter of the year with the name of the prayed epagomenal day following. The phrase
slaughter of the year could be signifying another yearly plague, therefore by reciting the
individual name of the epagomenal days to the appropriate god or goddess, a person is able to
protect themselves from harm on that day. Knowledge of the names of these days is important
since they are the only means of defense against any evil thing; whether it be thirst, hunger, disease
and plague, or from Sekhmet overcoming you. Fear

Studies associate smallholders with negative attitudes towards index based insurance within prisms
of limited prodding the existing manifold risks. This article analyses perception of smallholders
towards weather index insurance amid common risks and coping strategies. The study was carried
out in Embu County, Eastern Kenya using a sample of 401 smallholders obtained following a
multistage sampling technique. The study established that the most important risks to the
smallholder farmers were drought, input costs and crop pests and diseases respectively while the
least ranked risks in the same order of importance were excess rains, floods and frost. Similarly, the
results reveal that the smallholder farmers ranked engagement in off farm work, use of household
savings and crop diversification as the most important strategies of coping with drought. Borrowing
from banks, food aid and stopping children from attending school were also ranked as the least
important strategies. In addition, the findings do not strongly suggest a negative attitude towards
weatherindex insuranceamong smallholders thus controverting hitherto studies that do not overly
explain why? Furthermore the study rather postulates that other risks facing smallholders and their
riskresponses disposition may distort and override farmers attitude towards weather index

An Analysis of Conflict in the Novel the Son of Neptune
Do conflicts develop our characters and help us attain our goals? Following the theme of conflict in
the novel the Son of Neptune, Rick Riordan uses conflict to make the piece of writing more
interesting. Riordan incorporates different types of conflict in the novel to show how the heroes
must co operate with each other to complete their quest.
The conflict between the hero and his family shows a subsequent reaction further in the novel.
The author is showing the hero struggling with his family which helps to form a closer bond with
his friends. Riordan shows the hero separating himself from his father, Mars, the god of war,
whom the hero despises, by working closer with his friends on the quest that is given to them (Son
of Neptune, 151). When this meeting occurs, the hero is confronted by old memories which
handicap him during the quest and needs the help of his friends to aid him on his quest. As well as
mentally in conflict with his family, the hero displays common exhibits of grief for his family which
is an opening to express hurt or anger from experience elsewhere (Varieties of Family Conflict in
Adolescence). The author shows the hero using the death of his mother and his new found father to
inflict pain on other family members. With this much trouble in his family, Riordan shows how the
hero depends on his friends to help him throughout the story.
As well as being in conflict with his family, the hero is battling the thought of dying every single
day.

Society Vs Society
Many people are trying their best to look for a better future every day. Their willingness to take
jobs that no one want and that society are categorizing with a successful or a failure with a just
before their title. Society is not seeing that these people are looking for a job that helps them pay
their bill and have a stable future. These people are as valuable as any other person and should
be respected as well. Instead, society is categorizing them with a just and making it sound like a
failure on societies eyes. People deserve to be respected and valueall the time and their job title
should not matter at all. Not to mention, that now in this days if you wantto be known and respected
you needto have a job that the society categorizes as a success. When people start asking what
your job is not because they want to know about you, most of the time. When they ask is because
they want to know if you have succeeded in life. Nickie Mc Whirter in her essay, What You Do

validate or reject that person s existence. Mc Whirter is expressing that society immediately
places you in the category based on your job. It is sad to see but I have seen this happen around
me. I have seen that people get treated based on what they re categorized. For example, I have

Employee Turnover At Employers Gain And Lose Their Employees
Employee turnover is defined as the rate at which employers gain and lose their staff (Kysilka
Csaba, 2012). When an employee leaves a company, valuable skills and knowledge are lost and
it could directly affect the guest. Moreover, finding new employees with similar performance
levels as the ones you ve lost is time consuming and not to mention, costly. Companies who
actively find ways to retain employees gain a strong competitive advantage, especially in the
hospitality industry (Kysilka Csaba, 2012). Although a certain amount of turnover is necessary
and healthy for an organization, a high amount can lead to excessive costs. Turnover is
problematic for many companies because it is very costly for the employer, especially in jobs
which offer higher education and extensive on the job training. High turnover is part of larger set
of problems including reduced production and quality higher costs, low satisfaction with
managers, work anxiety, absenteeism and work place accidents (Dipietro Condly, 2007). Reasons
For Employee Turnover One of the key reasons a company experiences high employee turnover is
demographic factors such as age, gender, education, income level, and job category. More key
factors for employee turnover include perceived alternative employment opportunity, job hopping,
salary, type of work, supervision, and organizational commitment (Kysilka Csaba, 2012). A big

Investigation Methods of Firearms
Firearms can be investigated in many different ways. The most common way is examining the
bullet. Bullet characteristics such as shape, impressions, and grooves can help determine what type
of firearm the bullet was launched from. The same can be said for the bullets cartridge. You can
identify what firearmwas used just from the cartridgeitself. When you load a cartridge into a
firearm you will leave distinctive marks that can be identified. The cartridge doesn t necessarily
have to be fired in order for certain identifiable marks to transfer therefore, they will exists the
moment the cartridge is put into the firearm.
The typical cartridge case is made out of brass. Plastic and steel are also materials that cartridge
cases have been known to be made of. Cartridge cases are acknowledged of being softer than the
other materials found in the firearm. Despite this, cartridge cases still have a variety of finishes.
There will always be a mark where the inner working of the firearm meets the cartridge case.
One method to determine the marks on a cartridge case is using a comparison microscope. Using
the scope you can compare the cartridge cases against fire standards. Scientists first examine the
standards in order to determine what firearm is constantly reproducing certain marks. The experts
would then compare their findings to the evidence on the cartridge cases to see if they have any
matches.
There are two standard forms produced by the tool marks on a cartridge case.

Essay On Government Branches
I believe that having the government split into 3 branches is a good idea because none of them
could over rule over the others. If it wasn t like that just imagine all the possible things that can
occur. Another reason for them to be split up is so that they don t get overwhelmed with
everything that they have to do. So that s one of the main reasons we have our government split
into 3 different branches. Checks and balances is a really good thing to help our system because
it doesn t allow our government branches to be more powerful then the other. All branches have
huge roles towards our government but i think this one has the most important role because it has
the president and all the people that pretty much run our country. The Executive branch carries out
and enforces the laws. Unlike the Judicial branch they put a to the laws while the Executive
branch enforce the laws. The Executive branch contains the president, vice president and the

Research Paper On Amy Winehouse
The Jagged and Short Lived Excellence of Amy Winehouse We all have seen musicians and artists
come on go because they lose the spark that makes them stand out from the rest. We have
witnessed bands introducing their demise by going on a long hiatus, soloists going downhill
because their singles weren t followed up by remarkable ones or musicians who weren t strong
enough to take control of what they have.
The world of music is a rollercoaster ride; one moment you re famous and in the next you will find
yourself in the state of utter oblivion. Truly, it takes a lot of courage, talent and branding to keep

John F Kennedy s Accomplishments
On November 8, 1960 John F. Kennedy defeated Nixon and was elected to become President of
the United States of America, making him the thirty fifth, first Catholic, and youngest president
ever elected in U.S. history. Kennedy started the Space Race against the Soviet Union the Peace
Corps and was also involved and ended the Cuban Missile Crisis. John F. Kennedyis the elected
official in the U.S. federal government that I admire the most even though his presidency nearly
passed the first thousands of days in office, he accomplished many goals and let Americans know
what his dreams and aspirations for America was. The Space Race between America and the Soviet
Union began in 1957 when the Soviet Union launched satellite Sputnik into space.

Many people would want to hear about a romantic story of a girl and boy falling in love and living
happily ever after but in this case I decided to talk about a relationship that does have a happily
ever after but with a twist. I will be talking about a love relationship in the show pretty little liars
between the characters Emily and Allison. Emily is one of the main characters in the show and she
is 23 years old and works as a swim team coach, Alison is the main character of the show and she is
also 23 years old and she works at rosewood high schoolas an English teacher. Before they were in
a romantic relationship they started off as best friends in highschool with 3 other girls in the
circle. The history of their relationship goes all the way back to the first season in the show,
where Emily is struggling with her identity and can t express her feelings for Alison because of
the fear of people knowing she is into girls, Alison and Emily are in the library together and
Emily makes a move but Allison does not respond instead she leads her on. One thing we need

The Life of Saint Anthony
The life of Saint Anthony was vividly pictured in the narration of his life by no other person than
St. Athanasius. In St. Athanasius description of St. Anthony, he explored all areas where St.
Anthony was modeled as a saint. In light of this, the thesis for this essay states that classical genres
to which St. Athanasius modelled the Life of St. Anthony is autobiography/biography, mythology
and adventures.
Throughout the description of St. Anthony s life, he conformed himself to these models. To this
end, this essay explores ways in which St. Anthony s life conformed to these models. One of the
first ways St. Anthony s life conformed to St. Athanasius model was his first step into asceticism
(Robert 26).
Asceticism was the first major decision St. Anthony took after the death of his parents. The death
of his parents left him with the burden of caring for his sister and taking care of the vast property
that belonged to the family.
However, while on his way to church, he was meditating a bible verse but on stepping into the
church, he was baffled when he heard the Gospel being read instructing whoever wants to serve God
to go and sell of his property and distribute the profits from the sale to the poor. He felt that the
verse of the Gospel was meant for him so he did exactly as he was instructed (Robert 26). After
selling off the property, he distributed the proceeds amongst the poor. St. Anthony went to church
again and after listening to the Gospel again, he said he

Causes And Effects Of Coral Reefs
Ground water contamination, damage to coral reefs, sea grass beds and mangrove ecosystems,
salinization of soils and damage to vegetation, tsunami generated waste and debris, impacts on
sewage collection and treatment systems, damage to protected areas, coastline erosion and
inundation, changes in river hydrology, and loss of livelihoods based on natural resources or
ecosystem services are all examples of damage caused by a tsunami.
Coral reefs are natural breakwaters for a tsunami wave as it moves towards the coastline. The
December 2004 Indonesian earthquake tsunami devastated coral reefs around Indian Ocean
coastlines. Four years after the tsunami, the healthy corals were still regenerating. Due to the
increase of sedimentation, it doesn t allow light from the sun to penetrate through the water. It is
crucial for coral reefs to get sunlight for reproduction. Another major issue is the amount of debris
from land bulldozes habitats. Within minutes, most of the seawater that destroyed coastal
communities returned to the ocean, bringing untold tons of stuff with it; all the remnants of
humanity including pieces of buildings, cars, trees, garbage, huge amounts of plastics, eroded soils
and likely a wide variety of pollutants from those soils, homes, factories, stores, etc. Then there are
the plastics and non biodegradable junk that will initially pollute the coastlines and will then move
out to sea, eventually reaching the north Pacific and the western shores of North

Benefits Of Creatine Supplements
Creatine Supplements
The use of supplements is a common thing in today s modern world, specifically in the athletic
one. Every athlete is looking for a new way to enhance performance whether it be through
vitamins, enhancers, supplements, and so on. The purpose of this paper is to take a look at the
supplement that most athletes use, which is known as creatine, and to see if it has any benefits or
none at all.
Creatine is a natural generated remote guanidine compound which is synthesized in the kidneys,
pancreas, and liver and released into the blood, where after, the majority of it is stored in the
skeletal muscle (Kim et. al., 2015). Creatine s involvement in the body is that it provides the energy
the muscles need to work (CREATINE, n.d.).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One side effect that comes with taking this supplement is weight gain. This could be because
creatine allows for water buildup within the muscles (CREATNIE, n.d.). Quackwatch mentioned
that the reason for this is increasing intracellular creatine may cause an osmotic influx of water into
the cell because creatine is an osmotically active substance (1999) So it might not just be muscle
mass that is allowing those to gain weight, but the majority of it could be water weight instead.
Another possible side effect would be the effect it might have on the kidneys. Earlier, I mentioned
that athletes exceeding the normal amount recommended could see consequences and this would
be one of them. Also, taking creatine while on prescription medications can also double the effect
on the kidneys as well (CREATINE, n.d.). If someone is taking prescription medication, they must
first consult with their doctor before taking any

The Implementation Of Rfid Technology Essay
Implementation of RFID Technology
RFID in Airbus operations started in 1997. It first started RFID in its tool lending business wherein
it used to lend tools to its customers that customers needed for aircraft maintenance. The main
objective was to improve the operation efficiency by making tools available at a faster rate to its
customers. A combination of ERP software and Supply Chain Event Management(SCEM) software
was used to implement RFID technology in its tool lending business.
The tool lending process started with Airbus receiving the order from the customer for the
required tool which triggered an event in the SCEM software as discussed earlier. The tool
requested was then made ready for delivery to the customer. The Forwarder had to collect the tool
for shipment and had to update the data for transportation on ERP, which again created an event in
the SCEM software. This data was passed on to the RFID reader and it was written on the RFID
tags on the shipment and the toolbox. Because of the updating of the data on the SCEM software,
each and every supply chain partners which were concerned like the Airbus tools department and
customers tracked the shipment status. After the tool was delivered to the customer, the Internet
enabled handheld device was used by the Forwarder to update the information. The status was then
again made available on the SCEM software and made available online to all the concerned
authorities. After receiving the tool lended to the

Steven Spielberg Bully
When Steven Spielberg was in high school, he was often bullied and made fun of because he
was an Orthodox Jew. One particular bully would bloody Spielberg s nose, grind his face in the
dirt, and stick his face in water fountains. It didn t stay this way forever though; Spielberg would
cast this same bully in a short filmof his, titled Escape to Nowhere as a John Wayne type hero (7

at a teen film festival (8). Spielberg s first film to turn a profit, though, was called Firelight, and
cost $400 to make, but earned $500 after being shown at a local theater (10). When he was in the

the first blockbuster. During its opening weekend, Jaws made over $7 million, and went on to
break many worldwide box office records (Mokry). Besides launching Steven Spielberg s rise to
fame, it also turned actors such as Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfus into leading men after the
film s release. Unsurprisingly, Spielberg became quite wealthy, earning over $4million after
taxes (Sanello 51 57). Following the incredible success of Jaws, Steven Spielberg s next project
was Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It wasn t as successful as Jaws, but it still made over
$270 million at the box office, which was still a huge profit from a $20 million budget. After
Close Encounters, Spielberg followed it up with a war comedy titled 1941 based upon the events

This report aimed to investigate the generation effect occurs for low frequency words. The
experiment used a sample of 117 second year Research Method students from Birkbeck Univerity in
within and between subject design. There were two independent variables, read and generate items
and two dependant variables, low and high frequency. This data was analyzed with related sample t
test to examine whether the generation effect occurs for low frequency words and independent
sample t test to investigate whether there is a difference between generation effect with low and

They rejected the lexical activation hypothesis stating that the generation effect may be dependent
upon familiarity and associations of the to be remembered items with other words and concepts.
Therefore, would the generation effect occur for low frequency words if they were more familiar
for the subject?
Furthermore, the aim of this report is to carry out the experiment on the word frequency in
generation effect and to find out whether there is generation effect for low frequency words and
whether the difference between word frequency level has an influence on the occurrence of the
generation effect.
Hypothesis 1 : the generation effect will be present with low frequency words.
Hypothesis 2: the generation effect is smaller for low frequency words than for high frequency
words.
Null hypothesis 1: there will be no generation effect for low frequency words.
Null hypothesis 2: there will be no difference between generation effect in low and high frequency
words.
METHOD
Participants
A hundred and seventeen students at Birkbeck Univerity volunteered in the experiment held during
Research Method lecture.
Materials
The materials used in this experiment were fifty six concrete nouns taken from the Kucera and
Francis (1967) word count. There were four sets of the stimuli. Two sets were formed of 28 nouns
having counts of 67 or more (high frequency) and other two were 28 nouns having counts of 10 or
fewer (low frequency).

Health And Safety Of Canada And Bangladesh
Introduction
The second cross cultural ethical issue discussed in this paper is workplace health and safety.
Having occupational health and safety laws in place ensures a safe environment for employees,
the public, and stakeholders. The organization as a whole becomes more productive, creative, and
happy. Many countries have in place laws and regulations to ensure that the workforce is protected,
however, there are still several other countries who lack these necessary laws. Canada and
Bangladesh will be used to further discuss this issues.
In Bangladesh, the occupational health and safety services are still in its developing stage. They do
not have any formal organizations such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) in the United States, which provides different standards for various working
environments. Most of the industries and manufacturing workers are covered by the Factory Act
(1965) and the Factory rule (1979). However, these laws are very general and don t apply to every
workforce. As a result, many employers are responsible for their own health and safety needs.
(Occupational Safety and Health in Bangladesh, n.d).
In Canada, there are fourteen jurisdictions who each have their own occupational health and safety
legislations; one federal, ten provincial, and three territorials. Under the Canada Labour Code,
employees have the right to be informed on training, potential hazards, and be provided with
necessary supervision. This code also

Literary Devices In Ambush By Tim O Brien
Traumatized Literary devices are what make the story come alive and give the reader a feeling

internal conflict, external conflict, and flashback to put the reader in the character s shoes

Change Is Pain Research Paper
Change is pain refers to the complex connection between the anatomy of individuals brains and
human behavior that makes change almost impossible. According to Rock and Schwartz (2006),
psychology and neuroscience research have gained a new perspective on how different areas of the
brain determine human behavior. In particular, when individuals are exposed to situations that
include changing a specific behavior, there are two main reasons that make changing the behavior a
pain. One of these reasons relates to the nature of human memory and its relationship to
conscious attention (Rock Schwartz, 2006, p. 3). As per Rock and Schwartz (2006), routine
activities that take place in the working memory area of individuals brain require less effort and
energy from individuals to perform than new activities which takes place in the basal ganglia of
the brain; for example, driving to work versus taking a standardized test (e.g., GRE, CPA,... Show

Individuals will highly prefer driving to work than taking the standardized test. This results from
the great energy demand that a new activity requires, which is proportional to changing a behavior.
The second reason that makes change difficult is related to individuals basic brain functioning
(Rock Schwartz, 2006, p. 4). As per Rock and Schwartz (2006) stated that the orbital frontal
cortex of the human brain tends to perceive change as errors; consequently, this evokes
overwhelming emotions that requires a high demand of energy and leads individuals to behave
irrational by depriving the prefrontal brain region from energy. That is, when individuals face a
change, they tend to register it as an error which in turn originates an array of emotions that
disrupt their behavior. For instance, many individuals experience great fear of public speaking. If
someone who is not comfortable speaking in public is asked to give a speech, that person will
experience a variety of emotions that will interfere with his/her

Impact Of The Construction Industry On The Uk Economy
Sector introduction:
Balfour Beatty Plc operates in the heavy construction sub sector of the FTSE 250. This sector is
particularly interesting given the effect recession has had on this sector and the ongoing
developments in the industry. The construction sector in the UK is unique as the output in this
sector fell faster than the whole economy in 2008. It has slipped into recession 3 times over the
past 5 years (gov.uk, 2013). Overall the recession has had a dramatic effect in the construction
contracting industry. In recent years the sector has been plagued with low customer confidence,
high unemployment and limited availability of finance. However now that the UK economy is
recovering so is the construction sector, in August 2014 the sector grew at the fastest pace for seven
months since the recession (bbc.co.uk 2014).
Government Initiatives:
Various recent measures have been undertaken by the government which are contributing to the
success of the sector. In 2011 a Localism act was introduced simplifying the planning system which
in turn incentivized growth. A growth and infrastructureact was also implemented which delivered a
further boost to the industry. The government also plans to increase its capital spending plans by
ВЈ3 billion per annum from 2015 16, meaning an additional investment of ВЈ18 billion by 2020
(gov.uk 2013). These schemes have proven successful since their implementation, planning

Consequences Of The Treaty Of Versailles
The Failed Treaty The Treaty of Versailles was an imbroglio of spite, harsh terms, and creating
more problems than solving old ones. At this end we could see the Treaty of Versailles as a more
or less buffer from war for a few years, a temporary solution to an existential problem: human
conflict. The world knew the Treaty had failed with the collapse of the League of Nations, the
Great Depression, and the rise of Nazism and the resulting invasion of Poland. The Treaty of
Versailleswas a mockery of what Woodrow Wilson had wanted for the betterment of the world
and the longevity of world peace. But the Triple Entente had different views on the
consequences for the Central Powers and the world. Britain, Russia, and France had shot down
Woodrow Wilson s one by one, until it came to the League of Nations. The League of Nations, a
world saver, a world changer, was also heavily restricted by the Triple Entente. But, it would be
accepted as long as the U.S. applied to the Triple Entente s terms, this outraged the United States.
We had entered the war on our own behalf, seemingly saving the Western World itself, but we had
to comply? The U.S. Senate was outraged, Wilson was defeated, and the League of Nations spun
out of control. It still remained without the U.S, but was neglected by weak and spiteful leaders,
causing a spiral downwards to a mere joke nearing the end of the 1930s. But, the League of

they are a good couple. Macbeth loves his wife and so does she. Macbeth accepts her guidance
and advice and consults her concerning his plans. He shares his joy with his wife. Moreover, he is

It is proved that when Macbeth is told of Lady Macbeth s death, he is too weary to feel more than

The new generation of young people love music; they are dreaming about love, and looking for
a second half of their soul; they wish to be free, as their life just have been started ; they want to
do those thing which they like and make them happy, not what is right. High School Musical
fulfills the stereotypical fantasy of falling in love, and also being famous/ popular, although
perhaps on a smaller scale, the high school. In terms of values, High School Musical seems to
attempt to promote the value of having a sense of community through the group effort and sense of
teamwork that is presented. This is part of their overall strategy of getting kids excited through
music and getting them to feel a part of the

North Korea s Moranbong Band, My Heart
Performed by North Korea s Moranbong Band, My Heart is a song of contrast. Contrast between
complex and straightforward, and bright and dark, both in the instrumentation and lyrical content. It
is inside of these contrasts that the listener can begin to understand the song s political message.
Beginning with sudden, energetic burst of violins, piano, electric guitar, electric bass, and a drum
kit, the song s intro is heavily syncopated and rhythmically varied. After a short call and response
section between the piano and rest of the band, every instrument in unison performs a rising, 8th
note riff that connects to the verse. It is here when the vocals come in where the intro s powerful
energy slides into a less driving, more mellow mood. The intro grabs the listener s attention, but
once the lyrics come in the music slides back to allow the singer to be dominant.
Rhythmical, the core of My Heart lies in the 4/4 time signature with emphasis on the backbeat.
While the bass sticks to hitting quarter notes with the drums, guitar and piano provide syncopation
in the verses by playing on the offbeats. Together with a tempo that comfortably... Show more

While the lyrics do not shy away from displaying the political message outright, the music also
carries this message. By utilizing contrasting elements, such as the march like beat with sudden,
syncopated moments, and the bright instrumentation with dark harmonics, My Heart could be
interpreted as a battle between opposing forces, and calling on the North Korean citizens to stand
up and back their country in order to win any upcoming conflicts. The song feels like a march,
further elevating its political, militaristic message. The lyrics talk about giving everything to the
country, and the dark chords and rich backing vocals give these lyrics a dramatic weight that could
help persuade listeners to follow the narrator s example of

Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, And Macroeconomics
Abstract Economics is made up of two smaller categories microeconomics, and macroeconomics.
Microeconomics is more of a smaller scale such as an industry while macroeconomics is on a more
national level. It is important to study economics even if you are not a business owner. For
example, understanding economicsand the market, you could better determine when to buy a house
or when to start up a business. In a YouTube video titled AP Econ Music Video Microeconomics
SPHA , a group of teenagers worked on a music video summarizing major concepts of economics.
In that video, there are a lot of key factors such as supply, demand, monopolies, elasticity, and costs
that are beneficial to both producers and consumers.

A shift in a demand or supply curve occurs when a good s quantity demanded or supplied changes
even though price remains the same (Heakal, 2015), moving the line left or right. There are many
different determinates that can effect a shift. If there is a shift in the demand curve, then it
Intro to Economics4 may be caused by preferences, new information, fear, hope governmental
interference (O sullivan, Shefferin, Perez, 2014). Factors that could cause a supply shift are war,
natural disasters, governmental interferences, and shortages of inputs (O sullivan, Shefferin, Perez,
2014). Back in August of 2005 hurricane Katrina caused one hundred billion dollars in damage.
Understanding shifts in supply and demand is important to know because you must know what may
cause a change in the demand and supply. However, sometimes the equilibrium is not at the point
where the supply and demand curves intersect. When this happens two things may happen, a
market shortage, or a market surplus. A market surplus is an excess in supply, in other words the
quantity supplied exceeds the quantity demanded (O sullivan, Shefferin, Perez, 2014). In contrast, a
market shortage may also occur. This is the exact opposite of a market surplus where there is an
excess in demand. This can be important to understand because these can drastically effect the
quantity or price. Elasticity is another vital term that everyone should know. Elasticity can help a

Explore How Shakespeare and Orwell Present Forbidden Love...
Explore how Shakespeare and Orwell present forbidden love in Romeo and Juliet and 1984 .
Introduction
What is love? What are the main similarities and differences between the presentation of forbidden
love in 1984 and Romeo and Juliet? Relate briefly to the contexts of both texts.
Paragraph 1
Why does Romeo love Juliet? Why does Winston love Julia?
Look at how Romeo is attracted to Juliet for being beautiful and compare it to how Winston loves
Julia for her lack of purity. Explore this idea.
You could use the quotes:
The brightness of cheek would shame those stars Romeo about Juliet, page 53, Romeo and Juliet

Is the love between Romeo and Juliet stronger because they are prepared to die for it? Does the
fact that Winston knows that he could not kill himself for Julia mean that his love is not as strong

to be quick to take offence and also to violence, David paints him as a young healthy man and the
face is marked by suffering but at the same time is also gentle and suffused by a growing

of his paintings documented and expressed the political and emotional feeling of the times. This
brings me onto Vik Muniz portrayal of David s Marat . Vik Muniz is a contemporary artist and

Coherent Reason For Critical Thinking Essay
This book is pragmatical, not philosophical, a functional manual, not a treatise upon hypotheses.
It is planned for the men and ladies whose most squeezing need is for cash, who wish to get rich
to start with, and philosophize a short time later. It is for the individuals who have, up until this
point, discovered neither the time, the methods, nor the chance to go profoundly into the
investigation of power, however who need results and who will take the determinations of science
as a reason for activity, without going into every one of the procedures by which those
conclusions were come to. It is normal that the peruser will take the crucial proclamations upon
confidence, similarly as he would take explanations concerning a law of electrical activity in the
event that they were proclaimed by a Marconi or an Edison; and, taking the announcements upon
confidence, that he will demonstrate their reality by following up on them without dread or delay.
Each man or lady who does this will absolutely get rich; for the science thus connected is a correct
science, and disappointment is outlandish. For the advantage, nonetheless, of the individuals who
wish to examine philosophical speculations thus secure a coherent reason for confidence, I will
here refer to specific experts.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Transmission Of Universal And Timeless Issues Through...
An Eternal Prison
The Transmission of Universal and Timeless Issues through Experiences in the Soviet Gulag Camps.
Alexander Solzhenitsyn s novel One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich follows exactly as its
title suggests, a day in the life of Ivan Denisovich, a prisoner of the Soviet Gulag camps, and the
tribulations that he and his fellow prisoners encounter in their daily lives. Having personally
experienced the horrific conditions of the Gulag camp system, Alexander Solzhenitsyn wrote the
novel as a means to communicate these horrors to not only the Russian people, but also beyond the
boundaries of the Soviet Union, to the international community. Its stark realism and political
undercurrents shocked many at the time of its publishing, and caused a great amount of
controversy in the Soviet Union (Klimoff xiv). The style in which Solzhenitsyn presents his work
transcends the scope of the novel and its translation into something more sweeping. Although Ivan
Denisovich is rooted in the contextual background of a Soviet Gulag, it is able to relay universal
and timeless issues such as oppression, sense of identity, and the social hierarchy.
The issue of oppression appears throughout the novel as Ivan Denisovich is imprisoned as a
traitor as he had surrendered in order to betray his country and returned from POW camp to carry
out a mission for German intelligence (Solzhenitsyn 69 70), and is sent to the Gulag. The Gulag
camp system, were a series of labour camps created

Single Parents And Socioeconomic Status
Background Information Children who are raised from birth in two parent families have better
cogitative and behavioral outcomes compared with children who have ever lived in single parent
families, more than 80% of which are headed by single mothers (Jaffe, Moffitt Taylor, 2003, pg.
109). Children develop a different personalitydevelopment when they grow up with no Father or
with a father. The percentage is higher than 50% of people who are single mothers and may be
increasing. The socioeconomic status plays an important role because single mothers have lower
educational attainment, less social support, and poorer psychological well being (Jaffe, Moffitt
Capsi, 2003, pg. 109). On the other hand, two parent have a better socioeconomic status and their
children have better educational achievement and adjustment because the kids have the support of
both of their parents and the two parents are supporting each other to give the best for their kids
(Jaffe, Moffitt, Taylor, 2003, pg. 109).
One candidate psychological feature which might mediate a relationship between father absence
and early coitus is impulsivity. Impulsivity has been linked not only with aggressive behavior,
but also with willingness to engage in casual sex with multiple partners (Boothroyd Cross, 2017,
pg. 2). The Father absence may play different roles for each gender. When a child who is a boy
grows up, they could become aggressive or may think in a feminine way. According to Boothroyd

Fight Club Book Vs Movie
Mason Witt Media and Film December 5, 2016 For my essay, I chose to compare Fight Club, by
Chuck Palahniuk, published in 1996, with its movie counterpart of the same name, directed by
David Fincher in 1999, starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. Overall, the movie was remarkably
faithful to the novel, despite a few scenes being changed, likely to save an overly long runtime.
Keeping that in mind, much of both the book and the movie was open to interpretation by the
reader, which makes citing specific differences between the two stories difficult. The novel Fight
Club is about (and narrated by) a raging insomniac that is never named, who finds that the only
way that he can sleep at night is by sitting in on support groups for deadly diseases

Fensive Cost Of Defense
The Offensive Cost of Defense The United States spends far more than any other country on
defense and security with no end in sight to their expenditures. The total military spending by the
United States is nearly equal to the combined military spending of every other nation combined.
This unreasonable amount of spending hinders the capacity to provide basic needs, as well as
eliminating money that can be used to resolve other domestic issues, while at the same time
allowing for short term economic prosperity and increasing our national defense capacity. The
United Statesmilitary spending accounts for nearly 54% of federal discretionary spending. Of the
$1.1 trillion in discretionary spending in the United States, military spending accounts for the
widest amount of spending with $598.5 billion being spent, roughly 54%. The section of federal
discretionary spending that was even remotely close to the money spent on the military is the
federal discretionary spending that the government accrued at just under $73 billion which accounts
for only 6% of the $1.1 trillion in discretionary spending. In 2011 the United States government
spent about $718 billion on defense and international security assistance, more than it spent on
Medicare. United States military expenditures are roughly the size of the next nine largest military
budgets around the world, combined. The military s high expenditures impact the economy s ability
to provide to other domestic services and programs.

The Impact Of Debussy s Influence On The Works Of Richard...
In 1888, Debussy traveled to Bayreuth, hearing Parsifal and Meistersinger there, followed by
Tristan the next year. His trips to Bayreuth mark the beginning of Debussy s intentional shift
away from Wagner. Wagner s domination of the French musical society occurred gradually over
a period of about forty years. Elaine Brody writes that in the 1840s the French regarded Wagner
as a madman; by the 1880s they had placed him on a pedestal. Debussy himself was became swept
up in the fervor of Wagnerism. While the Debussy heard Wagner s Tristan while in Rome, it was
Parsifal that had the biggest impact on the French composer. But despite the overwhelming support
for Wagner s music, Debussy returned from Bayreuth feeling that he needed to free himself from
the German s influence; he wanted to to develop a style that was characteristically French and free
of German influences.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After returning from Rome, Debussy began frequenting bistros, literary cafes, and attended
gatherings at Edmond Bailly s shop of rare books, where he read books exposing him to religious
symbolism. Through his newly acquired connections, he was invited to attend Staphane
MallarmГ© s Tuesday evening salon. At these events, he participated in discussions of literature,
art, music, and heard many works by MallarmГ© and other Symbolists. MallarmГ© s notion of of
the arabesque is something that Debussy latched onto. Barbara Kelly described Debussy s concept
of arabesque as an undulating melodic line, independent of any notion of development of
themes...subject to varied repetition. This is a concept that would prevail through Debussy s

Enthalpy Of Combustion Of Alcohols Lab Report
According to the graph in figure 5, as the number of Carbon atoms in alcohol increased by 1, the
change in standard enthalpy of combustion would increase by around 200 kJ/mol. This is proven
as the equation of the linear line (protruding from the bottom left to the top right of the graph) is
y=199.81x, where x is the number of Carbon atoms, y is the standard enthalpyof combustion and
199.81 is the gradient of the line and how much the standard enthalpy of combustion would
increase by when multiplied by x. There were also errors/uncertainties that were shown in the
graph and result tables. The average error of each of the different alcohols was of 6.51%. Thus, as
the change in standard enthalpy of combustion of the alcohols increased, the uncertainties and
errors became greater. The size of the uncertainties can be seen becoming greater as the size of the
change in standard enthalpy of combustion increases in the graph of figure 5 and the results table
of figure... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the number of Carbon atoms in a homologous series of simple alcohols increases, there are
more bonds that are needed to be broken. When a bond is being broken, energy must be used in
order to break apart the alcohol molecule. When there is a long hydrocarbon chain, extra energy
must be used to break apart the alcohol molecule, therefore, more energy must be used to break a
longer hydrocarbon. For example, ethanol contains one more methylene group (CH2) than
methanol. When the ethanol is burnt, it will have one additional C C group and two additional
C H bonds to be broken. When the bonds of the C C and C H bonds are broken, this creates an
endothermic process and more energy is needed to break the bonds. However, the energy
produced by the increment in the amounts of CO2 and H2O forming outweighs the energy that is
absorbed by the new C C and C H bonds, so it becomes more and more

Wechsler Intelligence Scale For Children
Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC IV; Wechsler, 1949). This seminal intelligence
scale assesses a child s general intellectual ability across four domains, producing four
corresponding index scores: (1) the Verbal Comprehension Index (VCI), (2) the Visual Spatial Index
(VSI), (3) the Working Memory Index (WMI), and finally (4) the Processing Speed Index (PSI).
The VCI measures verbal concept formation, specifically assessing children s ability to listen to a
question, draw upon learned information from both formal and informal education, reason through
an answer, and express their thoughts aloud. An example item from this index is similarities,
vocabulary, and comprehension. Next, the VSI measures non verbal and fluid reasoning and
assesses children s ability to examine a problem, draw upon visual motor and visual spatial skills,
organize their thoughts, create solutions, and then test them. An example item from this index is
solving a 3D puzzle. The WMI measures working memory and assesses children s ability to
memorize new information, hold it in short term memory, concentrate, and manipulate that
information to produce some result or reasoning processes; an example item would be letter number
sequencing. This measure is particularly important for higher order thinking, learning, and
achievement. Finally, the PSI measures the speed of information processing and assesses children s
abilities to focus attention and quickly scan, discriminate between, and

Type 2 Diabetes Type 2 Essay
Type 2 Diabetes is a disease that is found in a variety of age groups around the world. This
disease is growing at a rapid rate and it is impacting the health of this generation and future
generations to come. Diabetes is a disease that impairs the body s ability to produce or respond to
the insulin hormone produced by the pancreas. The insulinallows for the glucose to be effectively
used as energy throughout the body. Diabetes causes carbohydrates to be abnormally digested,
which can raise blood glucose levels. This means that the glucose is not being taken up by the
cells that need it. The cells cannot take up the excess glucose that has accumulated in the blood,
so it is excreted through the urine. This can lead to problems with the kidneys, central nervous
system, heart, and eyes because high blood glucose can damage the blood vessels of these organs.
This diseased is managed by adopting a diet low in fat and high in fiber, increasing physical
activity, losing excess weight, and not smoking. If this... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

  • 2. What Are Emily Dickinson s Accomplishments The Life, Works, and Achievements of Emily Dickinson On December 10th, 1830, Emily Norcross Dickinson and Edward Dickinson gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Emily Elizabeth Dickinson (Poets). Little did any of them know that Emily Dickinson would be a famous poet who continues to move people with her words to this day! Though Emily Dickinson wouldn t receive any awards for her poetry, she is easily one of the most inspiring and touching poets of all time. During her life, she wrote almost 1800 poems, but only about 12 were published. Dickinson s fame only came after her death, but fame never seemed to be something she wanted anyways (EmilyDickinsonMuseum). Emily Dickinson grew up in the town where she was born, Amherst, Massachusetts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She decided that they had to be published. Lavinia went to Mabel Loomis Todd and asked her to help her get the poems published. She got Thomas Wentworth Higginson to be the co editor and together they were able to publish Poems of Emily Dickinson . They published two more books of poems by Emily Dickinson before running into a lawsuit with the Dickinson family. This caused Todd to lose a bit of land and put a stop to Emily s poems being published, but eventually Todd was back to publishing Emily s poems. Soon enough, Todd had published almost all of Emily s poems. In 1955, Thomas H. Johnson took Emily Dickinson s poems put all of them in chronological order and then published it as a complete book of all her poems known as The Poems of Emily Dickinson . Then, Ralph W. Franklin published another version of The Poems of Emily Dickinson that had correct punctuation and spelling ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

UAVs Laws and Legislations The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has produced an expedited certificate of authorization (COA) process for local law enforcement agencies to operate unmanned aerial vehicles. The expedited COA process is part of the FAA s reauthorization legislation the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 (P. L 1 12 95) which was signed into law by President Barack Obama on Feb. 14, 2012. Federal, state and local government entities must obtain a COA from the FAA before flying a UAV in the national airspace, the agency says( Dorr 2014). Under the streamlined process, COAs will be available for operations within a defined incident perimeter throughout an agency s jurisdiction. In addition, an automated,... ( Bureau of Counterterrorism 2013 ) The conflict of expedited certificate authorization for the operation unmanned aerial vehicles is easily assessable to act on violations of civilian rights. In the procedure of securing a certificate of authorization, there is little to no training of individuals with in local law enforcement to act according me with in Federal or even state privacy regulations. There is also the possibility that UAVs that carry chemical sniffers could be totally unencumbered by privacy protections. (Federal Aviation Administration 2013) Although the potential contribution of UAVs to sectors such as environmental protection, law enforcement and various commercial activities is apparent, they still seem not to be ready for civilian use. This is due to several reasons, including e.g. civilian UAVs (CUAVs) requiring different technological solutions such as optimized platforms, different endurance requirements, dedicated payloads and different ground control systems. An additional important problem to be solved is the integration of UAVs in the civilian airspace, which will require the adoption of civilian airworthiness standards and proven safety features. Last but not least trust has to be created, both at the public sectors and the commercial community, that CUAVs have economic advantages ( Vanclay 2003) One of the main hyposisthist that is surrounding the inhabitation of the advantages of UAVs, ... • 4. Racial Disparities In America The United States of America has become a police state. Racism, in America, is not dead, but rather revived and practiced through the criminal justice system; blacks were the main targets of police brutality and patrols. The prison system has been manipulated to put people of color in jail, more than whites. Hispanics, now, are also becoming targets of the American policing system. How can America change its policing strategies to being more just and fair? The United Statesshould stop making racially biased legislation and patrol all neighborhoods equally. The legal system should implement punishments that do not create more criminals, but rather help rehabilitate those who are deemed criminals. America has had racial discrimination since... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One could see that police are more likely to use force when threatened with charges for improper usage of force, which strengthens the argument that police are not held as accountable for their actions as they should be. In front of me was a child in whose world being stopped and frisked was so regular, such a fact of everyday life, that he had reasonably concluded that it must be lawful. (Zhao, Lai, Ren, Lawton, 2011). This quote shows that police are not held accountable for their actions. Police are able to use legislation that unfairly targets minorities and be free from liability. If policing in the United States is focused on minorities, then how can the country advocate for liberty and justice for all? The criminal justice system should be defined when one looks at how minorities are discriminated against in America s society today. That definition includes the courts of law and the prison system. In America, there is five percent of the population in the world, however; we house twenty five percent of the prison population of the world (Zhao, Lai, Ren, Lawton, ... Santa Fe Research Paper Visiting the neighboring island of Santa Fe on one of our safaris is a day delving into the starting diversity of the Galapagos, both with its creatures and its geology. After breakfast we embark to the dock in Puerto Ayora, and take an hour and a half journey to the island. Santa Fe is one of the oldest of the bunch in the archipelago, with underwater rocks dating back 3.9 million years. Lava that floated up from the ocean floor created the island, making it unique to its larger counterparts. In 2015, the Galapagos National Park, the Galapagos Conservancy, and the Charles Darwin Foundation released 201 tortoises on the island. Naturalists believe that Santa Fe once had its own species of tortoise, and the renewed effort to reintroduce the tortoise to the island has proven effective. • 7. The American Crisis Thomas Paine Rhetorical Devices The American Revolution was not only one of the most significant events in American history, but also ignited the minds of many journalists and writers, such as Thomas Paine. Paine began his career as a journalist in 1776 with the well known pamphlet Common Sense . By the end of this year, he was enlisted in the American army and had begun to write a series of essays, entitled The American Crisis . At the time these were written, morale was low in the army, and the soldiers were suffering many hardships. So, George Washington ordered that Paine s essay was to be read in front of the troops to inspire them to keep fighting. He sparked a revolutionary spirit amongst the soldiers by using different methods of persuasion. We sit back as people present to us these new inventions to improve our environment. Do you ever think back the materials and supplies you use for your personal needs? Over consumption of natural resources is huge problem in our world. With the new technological advances there are alternative ways to meet these needs. As I sit in my environmental science class, we discuss what natural resources are being over consumed not for our needs anymore, but for our wants. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our consumption patterns can be measured by our social status and acceptance. The bigger the pressures upon a person to conform to safe and accepted social standards, the more they end up expressing their aspirations and their individuality in terms of what they wear, drive, eats, what they call home, their pattern of food serving, their hobbies . My invention is a bracelet that one wears on a daily basis that keeps tracks of the consumption of natural resources. This monitoring bracelet will help many become aware of the over use of natural resources that they use in their everyday lives that they do not need. For example we use a calorimeter, multi meter, gas chromatograph and mass spectrometer. Each of these measure a different natural resource. As you look around where you are sitting, think about how many do not recycle at home and how many leave the water running while they brush their teeth. Over consumption of natural resources do not come into mind when you are using the significant resources that are slowly being unavailable to us. In California, the third largest state of the United States of America, we have been in a drought for four or more years, although government has made announcements, sent out notices, set laws/restrictions, and made commercials to show on television. There is really nothing wrong with the mission statement because it is straight to the point and very simplistic. • 10. Stylistic Characteristics Of The Blues CH11 Question 1 There are several stylistic characteristics of the blues. The first one is the blue notes, which is the bent technique for lowering the pitch of third and seventh scale degrees in the major scale(259). The next one is the blue chorus, which is three line lyrics, and it contains fill which is the instrument response of the call and response between vocal and instrument. The third feature is the blue progression which is the form of the combination between tonic(I), subdominant(IV), and dominant(V) chords. It is usually arranged as: I / IV I / V I . Another characteristic is that the timbre of the vocals in blueshave a wide varieties. Every single piece of blue music features a different kind of vocal texture. The rhythm in the blues has a characteristic called swung which means the long short pattern of the rhythm. In all three pieces of music, the blue note and the blue chorus are applied to the composition. The bent texture of the pitch and the neat separation of the lyrics can be easily notice in the music. The call and response in vocals and instruments, on the other hand, is not so obvious in Can t Help Lovin Dat Man, but I think, though subtle, it is still there at the end of each line. The rhythm in the Muleskinner Blues is more steady instead of the long short patterned swung. The swung is not so obvious in Can t Help Lovin Dat Man, either. Overall, there are some standard blue style in all three pieces of music, but we ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. The Western Frontier Is An Important Part Of American Society The Western Frontier is an important part of American society that captures the archetypal curiosity that ever American has in search of new opportunities. Frederick Jackson Turner s essay titled, The Significance of the Frontier in American History explains the relevance of westward expansion in the late nineteenth century. Turner describes the western frontier as the meeting point between savagery and civilization because once one crosses the boundary from the East to the West; the laws of civilization no longer apply. The West is characterized by its lawlessness and violence as the settlers struggle to stake their claim on the rough terrain (Turner). Two western classics that are complete polar opposites Willa Cather s My Antonia and Cormac McCarthy s Blood Meridian both depict the civilized but also the savage aspects of the western frontier. The difficult and ever changing geography of the American West shapes each character in both stories, since the American West is a harsh and tedious environment, it allows Darwin s principle of survival of the fittest to be tested. In My Antonia, the protagonist, Antonia, is shown to the reader through the memory of Jim Burden as his childhood sweetheart. Antonia represents the captivating and peaceful beauty of the western prairie even as it endures harsh conditions. On the other hand, Blood Meridian portrays a horribly savage image of the West, where one is in a dog eat dog world and must choose to kill or be killed. McCarthy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The next morning they were going into the labryrinth. As soon as they were in, it was dark and wet with bones all around. Theseus told one of the Athenian children to hold one end of the string when he set off. Once Theseus was deep into the maze he heard a rumble and he knew that was Minotaur. • 13. Explain the mechanism referred to in the above statement... Trade between advanced countries that are abundant in capital and skill and NIEs (Newly Industrialising Economies) with their abundant supply of unskilled labour was raising the wages of highly skilled workers and lowering the wages of less skilled workers in the skill and capital abundant countries (Krugman, Obstfeld and Melitz). Explain the mechanism referred to in the above statement using the Heckscher Ohlin model. The Heckscher Ohlin model is extremely useful when illustrating how endowments of a particular resource can influence trade between economies. The model shows us how comparative advantage is explained somewhat by the relative abundance of certain resources, such as land, labour or capital. The Heckscher Ohlin (HO) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Assuming the demand schedule is identical in both countries, then without trade, Foreign s own market equilibrium is at 1 and Home s equilibrium for cars is at 2 . When the two countries trade, the relative world price converges to a point somewhere in between these two points at 3 . We can see from the above illustration that trade leads to a convergence of world prices at point 3. The Foreign economy will therefore export the good that has seen an increase in its relative price. Now that we have seen how prices change under the assumptions of the HO model, I will now explain how these changes have an impact on the distribution of income in countries open to trade. A rise in the prices of cars increases the purchasing power of skilled labour (the abundant factor) in the foreign country in terms of both goods. At the same time it decreases the purchasing power of unskilled labour (the scarce factor) in terms of both goods. So by opening up to trade, the owners of the abundant factor become better off, whilst owners of the scarce factor become worse off. Theoretically, opening to trade should increase the consumption possibilities for the whole economy, allowing everyone to gain a higher utility. So why do some people become worse off, post trade under the HO model? The underlying issue is that trade only changes relative prices of factors, which has a direct effect on the relative earnings of those ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The information which pertained to the birthdays of the five gods, as well as the names of the epagomenal days; although in a slightly altered order as Spalinger discussed to a great length, however the topic of plague and disease is still foremost. The Egyptian text declares that the person who knows the names of the epagomenal days will not die of the plague that persists during this time of year also that he will not be possessed by any disease. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The individual performing the ritual demands that the enemies, death being one, must be terminated during this period in time; this text allows a fresh new understanding of the Ancient Egyptian opinion of the days in addition of the year . The Egyptian text may have also been meant to be interpreted as the Egyptians seeing the epagomenal days as a time of purification, meaning that their enemies , disease, plague, and death were to be terminated. The last statement of the former quote, may they save , could be understood to be implying a connection to the epagomenal days of the previous phrase, may their corpses . With the exegesis of purification in mind it could possibly be use to describe other Ancient Egyptian texts, such as the plague of the year which could be seen as some type of celestial plague with the purpose of ridding Egypt of its enemies during the epagomenal period. The Myth of the Heavenly Cow may possibly fit this formula as well, with raging Sekhmet being sent to eradicate mankind when they started to riot against Ra (Re). The Cairo Calendar text provides more support, with several prayers to the gods, all with the common form O (god + title). Will you protect me from any bad/ evil things, from any slaughter of the year with the name of the prayed epagomenal day following. The phrase slaughter of the year could be signifying another yearly plague, therefore by reciting the individual name of the epagomenal days to the appropriate god or goddess, a person is able to protect themselves from harm on that day. Knowledge of the names of these days is important since they are the only means of defense against any evil thing; whether it be thirst, hunger, disease and plague, or from Sekhmet overcoming you. Studies associate smallholders with negative attitudes towards index based insurance within prisms of limited prodding the existing manifold risks. This article analyses perception of smallholders towards weather index insurance amid common risks and coping strategies. The study was carried out in Embu County, Eastern Kenya using a sample of 401 smallholders obtained following a multistage sampling technique. The study established that the most important risks to the smallholder farmers were drought, input costs and crop pests and diseases respectively while the least ranked risks in the same order of importance were excess rains, floods and frost. Similarly, the results reveal that the smallholder farmers ranked engagement in off farm work, use of household savings and crop diversification as the most important strategies of coping with drought. Borrowing from banks, food aid and stopping children from attending school were also ranked as the least important strategies. In addition, the findings do not strongly suggest a negative attitude towards weatherindex insuranceamong smallholders thus controverting hitherto studies that do not overly explain why? • 18. Employee Turnover At Employers Gain And Lose Their Employees Employee turnover is defined as the rate at which employers gain and lose their staff (Kysilka Csaba, 2012). When an employee leaves a company, valuable skills and knowledge are lost and it could directly affect the guest. Moreover, finding new employees with similar performance levels as the ones you ve lost is time consuming and not to mention, costly. Companies who actively find ways to retain employees gain a strong competitive advantage, especially in the hospitality industry (Kysilka Csaba, 2012). Although a certain amount of turnover is necessary and healthy for an organization, a high amount can lead to excessive costs. Turnover is problematic for many companies because it is very costly for the employer, especially in jobs which offer higher education and extensive on the job training. High turnover is part of larger set of problems including reduced production and quality higher costs, low satisfaction with managers, work anxiety, absenteeism and work place accidents (Dipietro Condly, 2007). Reasons For Employee Turnover One of the key reasons a company experiences high employee turnover is demographic factors such as age, gender, education, income level, and job category. Bullet characteristics such as shape, impressions, and grooves can help determine what type of firearm the bullet was launched from. The same can be said for the bullets cartridge. You can identify what firearmwas used just from the cartridgeitself. When you load a cartridge into a firearm you will leave distinctive marks that can be identified. The cartridge doesn t necessarily have to be fired in order for certain identifiable marks to transfer therefore, they will exists the moment the cartridge is put into the firearm. The typical cartridge case is made out of brass. Plastic and steel are also materials that cartridge cases have been known to be made of. Cartridge cases are acknowledged of being softer than the other materials found in the firearm. Despite this, cartridge cases still have a variety of finishes. There will always be a mark where the inner working of the firearm meets the cartridge case. One method to determine the marks on a cartridge case is using a comparison microscope. Using the scope you can compare the cartridge cases against fire standards. Scientists first examine the standards in order to determine what firearm is constantly reproducing certain marks. The experts would then compare their findings to the evidence on the cartridge cases to see if they have any matches. There are two standard forms produced by the tool marks on a cartridge case. ... In St. Athanasius description of St. Anthony, he explored all areas where St. Anthony was modeled as a saint. In light of this, the thesis for this essay states that classical genres to which St. Athanasius modelled the Life of St. Anthony is autobiography/biography, mythology and adventures. Throughout the description of St. Anthony s life, he conformed himself to these models. To this end, this essay explores ways in which St. Anthony s life conformed to these models. One of the first ways St. Anthony s life conformed to St. Athanasius model was his first step into asceticism (Robert 26). Asceticism was the first major decision St. Anthony took after the death of his parents. The death of his parents left him with the burden of caring for his sister and taking care of the vast property that belonged to the family. However, while on his way to church, he was meditating a bible verse but on stepping into the church, he was baffled when he heard the Gospel being read instructing whoever wants to serve God to go and sell of his property and distribute the profits from the sale to the poor. Every athlete is looking for a new way to enhance performance whether it be through vitamins, enhancers, supplements, and so on. The purpose of this paper is to take a look at the supplement that most athletes use, which is known as creatine, and to see if it has any benefits or none at all. Creatine is a natural generated remote guanidine compound which is synthesized in the kidneys, pancreas, and liver and released into the blood, where after, the majority of it is stored in the skeletal muscle (Kim et. al., 2015). It first started RFID in its tool lending business wherein it used to lend tools to its customers that customers needed for aircraft maintenance. The main objective was to improve the operation efficiency by making tools available at a faster rate to its customers. A combination of ERP software and Supply Chain Event Management(SCEM) software was used to implement RFID technology in its tool lending business. The tool lending process started with Airbus receiving the order from the customer for the required tool which triggered an event in the SCEM software as discussed earlier. The tool requested was then made ready for delivery to the customer. The Forwarder had to collect the tool for shipment and had to update the data for transportation on ERP, which again created an event in the SCEM software. This data was passed on to the RFID reader and it was written on the RFID tags on the shipment and the toolbox. Because of the updating of the data on the SCEM software, each and every supply chain partners which were concerned like the Airbus tools department and customers tracked the shipment status. Many countries have in place laws and regulations to ensure that the workforce is protected, however, there are still several other countries who lack these necessary laws. They do not have any formal organizations such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the United States, which provides different standards for various working environments. Most of the industries and manufacturing workers are covered by the Factory Act (1965) and the Factory rule (1979). However, these laws are very general and don t apply to every workforce. As a result, many employers are responsible for their own health and safety needs. (Occupational Safety and Health in Bangladesh, n.d). According to Rock and Schwartz (2006), psychology and neuroscience research have gained a new perspective on how different areas of the brain determine human behavior. In particular, when individuals are exposed to situations that include changing a specific behavior, there are two main reasons that make changing the behavior a pain. One of these reasons relates to the nature of human memory and its relationship to conscious attention (Rock Schwartz, 2006, p. 3). As per Rock and Schwartz (2006), routine activities that take place in the working memory area of individuals brain require less effort and energy from individuals to perform than new activities which takes place in the basal ganglia of the brain; for example, driving to work versus taking a standardized test (e.g., GRE, CPA,... The second reason that makes change difficult is related to individuals basic brain functioning (Rock Schwartz, 2006, p. 4). As per Rock and Schwartz (2006) stated that the orbital frontal cortex of the human brain tends to perceive change as errors; consequently, this evokes overwhelming emotions that requires a high demand of energy and leads individuals to behave irrational by depriving the prefrontal brain region from energy. That is, when individuals face a change, they tend to register it as an error which in turn originates an array of emotions that disrupt their behavior. For instance, many individuals experience great fear of public speaking. If someone who is not comfortable speaking in public is asked to give a speech, that person will experience a variety of emotions that will interfere with his/her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. Impact Of The Construction Industry On The Uk Economy Sector introduction: Balfour Beatty Plc operates in the heavy construction sub sector of the FTSE 250. This sector is particularly interesting given the effect recession has had on this sector and the ongoing developments in the industry. The construction sector in the UK is unique as the output in this sector fell faster than the whole economy in 2008. It has slipped into recession 3 times over the past 5 years (gov.uk, 2013). Overall the recession has had a dramatic effect in the construction contracting industry. In recent years the sector has been plagued with low customer confidence, high unemployment and limited availability of finance. However now that the UK economy is recovering so is the construction sector, in August 2014 the sector grew at the fastest pace for seven months since the recession (bbc.co.uk 2014). Government Initiatives: Various recent measures have been undertaken by the government which are contributing to the success of the sector. In 2011 a Localism act was introduced simplifying the planning system which in turn incentivized growth. A growth and infrastructureact was also implemented which delivered a further boost to the industry. The government also plans to increase its capital spending plans by ВЈ3 billion per annum from 2015 16, meaning an additional investment of ВЈ18 billion by 2020 (gov.uk 2013). • 38. Consequences Of The Treaty Of Versailles The Failed Treaty The Treaty of Versailles was an imbroglio of spite, harsh terms, and creating more problems than solving old ones. At this end we could see the Treaty of Versailles as a more or less buffer from war for a few years, a temporary solution to an existential problem: human conflict. The world knew the Treaty had failed with the collapse of the League of Nations, the Great Depression, and the rise of Nazism and the resulting invasion of Poland. The Treaty of Versailleswas a mockery of what Woodrow Wilson had wanted for the betterment of the world and the longevity of world peace. But the Triple Entente had different views on the consequences for the Central Powers and the world. Britain, Russia, and France had shot down Woodrow Wilson s one by one, until it came to the League of Nations. The League of Nations, a world saver, a world changer, was also heavily restricted by the Triple Entente. But, it would be accepted as long as the U.S. applied to the Triple Entente s terms, this outraged the United States. We had entered the war on our own behalf, seemingly saving the Western World itself, but we had to comply? The U.S. Senate was outraged, Wilson was defeated, and the League of Nations spun out of control. It still remained without the U.S, but was neglected by weak and spiteful leaders, causing a spiral downwards to a mere joke nearing the end of the 1930s. Contrast between complex and straightforward, and bright and dark, both in the instrumentation and lyrical content. It is inside of these contrasts that the listener can begin to understand the song s political message. Beginning with sudden, energetic burst of violins, piano, electric guitar, electric bass, and a drum kit, the song s intro is heavily syncopated and rhythmically varied. After a short call and response section between the piano and rest of the band, every instrument in unison performs a rising, 8th note riff that connects to the verse. It is here when the vocals come in where the intro s powerful energy slides into a less driving, more mellow mood. The intro grabs the listener s attention, but once the lyrics come in the music slides back to allow the singer to be dominant. Rhythmical, the core of My Heart lies in the 4/4 time signature with emphasis on the backbeat. Alexander Solzhenitsyn s novel One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich follows exactly as its title suggests, a day in the life of Ivan Denisovich, a prisoner of the Soviet Gulag camps, and the tribulations that he and his fellow prisoners encounter in their daily lives. Having personally experienced the horrific conditions of the Gulag camp system, Alexander Solzhenitsyn wrote the novel as a means to communicate these horrors to not only the Russian people, but also beyond the boundaries of the Soviet Union, to the international community. Its stark realism and political undercurrents shocked many at the time of its publishing, and caused a great amount of controversy in the Soviet Union (Klimoff xiv). The style in which Solzhenitsyn presents his work transcends the scope of the novel and its translation into something more sweeping. Although Ivan Denisovich is rooted in the contextual background of a Soviet Gulag, it is able to relay universal and timeless issues such as oppression, sense of identity, and the social hierarchy. The issue of oppression appears throughout the novel as Ivan Denisovich is imprisoned as a traitor as he had surrendered in order to betray his country and returned from POW camp to carry out a mission for German intelligence (Solzhenitsyn 69 70), and is sent to the Gulag. Single Parents And Socioeconomic Status Background Information Children who are raised from birth in two parent families have better cogitative and behavioral outcomes compared with children who have ever lived in single parent families, more than 80% of which are headed by single mothers (Jaffe, Moffitt Taylor, 2003, pg. 109). Children develop a different personalitydevelopment when they grow up with no Father or with a father. The percentage is higher than 50% of people who are single mothers and may be increasing. The socioeconomic status plays an important role because single mothers have lower educational attainment, less social support, and poorer psychological well being (Jaffe, Moffitt Capsi, 2003, pg. 109). On the other hand, two parent have a better socioeconomic status and their children have better educational achievement and adjustment because the kids have the support of both of their parents and the two parents are supporting each other to give the best for their kids (Jaffe, Moffitt, Taylor, 2003, pg. 109). One candidate psychological feature which might mediate a relationship between father absence and early coitus is impulsivity. Impulsivity has been linked not only with aggressive behavior, but also with willingness to engage in casual sex with multiple partners (Boothroyd Cross, 2017, pg. 2). When a bond is being broken, energy must be used in order to break apart the alcohol molecule. When there is a long hydrocarbon chain, extra energy must be used to break apart the alcohol molecule, therefore, more energy must be used to break a longer hydrocarbon. For example, ethanol contains one more methylene group (CH2) than methanol. When the ethanol is burnt, it will have one additional C C group and two additional C H bonds to be broken. When the bonds of the C C and C H bonds are broken, this creates an endothermic process and more energy is needed to break the bonds. The VCI measures verbal concept formation, specifically assessing children s ability to listen to a question, draw upon learned information from both formal and informal education, reason through an answer, and express their thoughts aloud.
