My Journey Of My Career Development
Miranda Kilmer Integration Paper My journey to my career development has been a roller
coaster ride to say the least. Everything I ve learned in this class and throughout the years has
shaped me into who I am and has played a major role in my career decision making process. Ever
since I was little I was always interested in acting and had dreamed of being in movies. Many kids
probably had a similar dream, but for some reason I had a strong desire to follow through with it.
Whenever I watched a movie I would always catch myself saying the lines along with the
characters, and changing my voice to fit each role. No one ever really knew that this was
something I was interested in because I never admitted to it. I never told anybody because every
time I would bring it up, everyone seemed to have the same opinion about it. They say that being
an actor is not a reliable career and that being successful in that industry is a long shot. As I got
older I started to agree with them. I pushed aside my dream of becoming an actress and decided
to focus on more reliable career choices like lawyers, teachers, doctors, etc... When I tried to find
interest in these jobs, it always failed. They just didn t fit my personality and after taking this
class I learned why. This class has really helped me develop a sense of myself. I learned a lot
about myself with the help of the self assessment inventories, journal entries, values

Atrocities And Liberation Of Concentration Camps
The Atrocities and Liberation of Concentration Camps If you combine sadistic Nazi soldiers, a
license to kill, and twenty six million people whom they took their aggression out on, you have the
Holocaust. From torture to murder, the concentration camp prisoners experienced almost every
despicably, inhumane act one can imagine. Hitler s Nazis will never be able to justify this ultimate
example of cruelty and unfairness. Although the Holocaust occurred nearly seventy years ago, the
world will never fail to remember the horrible acts that were committed against millions of innocent
people in concentration camps. Whether the camps establishments were for labor purposes, or
simply because Hitler... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Next, every bit of their hair was shaved off with electric razors and shearing machines. That hair
was used to make clothing that the guards and their dogs would wear. To finish off this
disinfecting process, the deportees were then taken into a shower room and were immersed in a
phenol solution. Those who lived, for many had died because they weren t able to stand or
became unconscious, were given wool rags to wear and wooden sandals that caused inflammation.
Paper clothing that the deportees had made was taken, and some had resorted to trading in their
food for clothing, only to have it confiscated shortly afterward (Whissen 5 13). Housing
assignments for the prisoners were then issued. The prisoners barracks, which were designed to
house half the people who were stuffed into them, were filthy and full of vermin, as one of the
women assigned to them stated: When we arrived, the sleeping accommodations appeared to be
quite nice; the beds had been neatly made, and on each straw mattress there was a small, blue white
coverlet that was almost pretty. But unfortunately our contentment did not last long. When we
turned down the corner of the coverlet, we saw that the mattresses and covers were crawling with
vermin. My blanket was filthy. (Inside the Concentration Camps 14) Even though these

Compare And Contrast Andrew Jackson And The Democratic Party
Who would believe me if I said for a short time in American history there was only one political
party? Well, from the years 1812 to 1824 the Republican Party was the only political party in the
U.S. Due to an increasing amount of voter interest the election of 1828 saw the first presidential
candidates from two separate parties. Andrew Jacksonwas the representative from the Democratic
Party, and Henry Clay represented the Whig Party. Both Democratic and Whig parties impacted
America in many ways during the 19th century, but one in particular stood out significantly
amongst the other.
Soon after the war of 1812, the Federalist Party collapsed, leaving just one political party in the
U.S. for over a decade. It was not until the election of 1824 that there was an emergence of a
second party system. As stated previously one party led by Andrew Jackson was the Democrats.
The Democratic Party developed when Andrew Jackson was elected president. The democrats
believed in helping the common man. They stayed out of state affairs, favored the working class,
and were tolerant of immigrants. The Whig party which consisted of mainly prosperous people
formed in opposition to the Democratic Party. They believed that the federal government should be
actively involved in the economy to stimulate growth. They were also in favor of tariffs to protect
infant industries and internal improvements.
Andrew Jackson was a major political figure for the democrats. He and John Quincy Adams were

Three Famous Men Of Shakespeare Research Paper
Three Famous Men of Shakespeare s Time
Three important people during the time of Shakespeare were Galileo Galilei, Martin Luther, and
Francisco Vasquez de Coronado. These men all had great influence in their respective fields during
the sixteenth century. Galileo worked in several similar fields: astronomy, mathematics, and
inventing. Martin served as a pastor and major leader in the Reformation. Francisco served the
Spanish in Mexico and is often remembered for his conquests and explorations in America.
Although none of these men seemed to have known Shakespeare, they can give an accurate picture
of his world.
Galileo Galilei was born on February 15, 1564. Many people remember that he founded the idea of

Persuasive Essay On Social Media Snapchat
Social media tricks people to believe others are living a ravisher life than they really are. They
post only the highlights of their lives, and never the negative. It makes others view them falsely
and more presentable than they actually are, which makes those viewing their profiles feel less
satisfied with themselves and their lives. There are even some people who drop all social media
because of how terrible it makes them feel, but there are also others who thrive for the attention
of social media and go through ridiculous tasks in order to take the perfect picture. There have
been many disputes over how social media websites such as Instagram or Facebook affects ones
self esteem, it can knock them down. One might say that social media is a tool that helps us get
connected with the rest of the world, but it is truly a recipe for disaster. One of my really close
friends Lara is insanely obsessed with Instagram and Snapchat, she is on it every second of the
day. Once she and her boyfriend broke up she started stalking him every day, bible. She d go on
every social media website he had an account for, until one day she saw a Snapchat story (a story
on snapchat is only available to the user s friends for twenty four hours). The story reveled her
ex and a new girl, ever since Lara has posted an insane number of pictures on Instagram, some of
them are very catfish, they don t look like her at all. This makes Lara think less of herself, as she

Inclusion Of Children With Disabilities
Inclusion, known as the act of including or being included within a group or structure. In today s
world the act of inclusion within the classroom is becoming more and more well known in most
schools. This could be the act of including a child with special needs or even a child where their
second language is English. As recent as a hundred years ago, children with disabilities received
little, if any, formal education. In the tradition of segregating students during the middle to late
19th century. Special schools for those with special needs continued to be created in the early
1900s. These schools claimed to educate children; however, they primarily served as residential
facilities and institutions. Even in 1918, as states began creating a nationwide public school
system, children with disabilities were usually excluded. Between 1850 and 1950 classes were
created for people to learn how care for individuals with disabilities. Parents of kids with special
needs began to make programs and schools for their kids. Even though these came up it was still
more well known for parents to send their kids to a residential facility. With them believing that was
still the best thing to do. In the Rehabilitation act of 1973 educational rights were guaranteed to
federal funded institutions. Then the IDEA was the first things to have education be provided in
the least restrictive environment, the same school. Although still rare in many school districts, real

Testing And Treatment Of Hiv 1
RESULTS:
A wide variety of articles were reviewed that adopted a number of different study designs for their
research. A number of different experiments were also looked at which demonstrated how
resistances to certain HIV 1 anti retrovirals are arising. As presented in the appendix, this specific
section will evaluate the results from many randomized control trials (RCTs), case control studies,
prospective cohort studies with and without controls, retrospective cohort studies with and without
controls and cross sectional studies.

They looked at multiple coding sequences of the HIV 1 integrase enzyme form blood plasma
samples of 61 patients. They categorized the main integrase region sequences as subtype B,
with minor subtypes being C (CRF01 AE, CRF02 AG and CRF13 cpx), D and G. No major
integrase drug resistance mutations have been observed in new patients beginning with integrase
inhibitor treatment, however in 30 cases, polymorphic variations with the E157Q mutation were
observed. This mutation was more common among subtype B (26 cases) than with non B
subtypes (5 cases). Major integrase inhibitor drug resistance mutations (G140S, Q148H, N155H,
V151I, E92EQ, V151I, G163R) were notable in four of these cases. Time to the development of
drug resistance ranged from 3 to 16 months with a mean increase of HIV viral load of 4.34 HIV
RNA copies/ml at the time of emergence of the major mutations. (11) Figure 1 demonstrates four
cases in which resistance to integrase inhibitors were observed.
In a study conducted by Piralla et al., HIV 1 integrase variability was analyzed using stored
plasma samples from 95 patients infected with HIV 1, within a one year period from 2008 to 2009.
Patients with no available plasma samples or viral load less than 1,000 HIV RNA copies/ml plasma

resistance to integrase inhibitors were not detected in patients that have previously been treated

Essay On Neonatal Hypoglycemia
The neonatal hypoglycemia mechanism occurs when maternal diabetics mother gives birth to
newborns. Glucose is the main nutrient source for newborns received in the maternal placenta. The
symptoms of hypoglycemia are difficult to treat in newborns. If untreated, the hypoglycemia can
lead to brain damage or seizures. The most common symptoms are coma, apathy, jitteriness, and
inadequate feedings. Infants born with small gestational age (SGA) or large gestational age (LGA)
can be susceptible to hypoglycemia. Maternal diabetics secrete extra insulinwhich causes neonates
to have low blood glucose levels. Zhou et al conducted a study of 668 neonates who were admitted
to the Pediatrics Center Hospital at Shanghai for hypoglycemia (Zhou et al, 2015). After being
admitted, maternal diabetics were separated from neonates and inhibited from breastfeeding.
Neonates with hypoglycemia were monitored on a regular basis on their blood glucose levels.

Breastfeeding is strongly recommended for maternal diabetics after giving birth feeding their
baby every 3 hours. Dextrose gel is considered an effective and inexpensive to treat newborn
infants. According to the Harris et al article, the use of dextrose gel prevents hypoglycemia and
brain injury in newborn infants (Harris et al 2012). Babies with hypoglycemia of 2.6 mM/L low
blood glucose concentration were recommended to consume 200 mg/kg dextrose gel through
feeding. After attempting treatments, the intensive care unit provided infant formula and dextrose
to maintain blood glucose levels (Harris et al 2012). Hypoglycemia is an important factor in
preventing neurological problems in newborn infants. In addition, the previous study of Harris et al
found that dextrose gel is beneficial for treating newborn infants after birth and no adverse effects

Essay on Development and Analysis of Two Mini Case Studies
Development and Analysis of Two Mini Case Studies This is a SWOT analysis of Target
Corporation and K Mart, to be followed by a cross case analysis of the two mini cases. The success
and failure in these cases is based on volume of sales and recognition of the two companies.
Target SWOT Analysis Target is a mass merchandising store based out of Roseville, Minnesota
and founded in 1962. Almost 50 years later, Target is still going strong. They have always been in
direct competition with the world s largest retailer, Wal Mart, and are still in business which is
quite impressive. What makes target so different from most mass merchandising stores is that it
focuses on the overall experience for the shopper, not just great prices (2009 ... Show more content

This way people would shop more to get more points on their cards and would not worry so much
about the high prices. This would take away from the fact that it is more expensive than Wal Mart

Threats: There are a few competitors that could be a threat to Target. I think the number one is Wal
Mart. Despite the fact that they are the number one retailer in the world, they also have very low
prices. Kmart also proves a threat to Target just because they are beginning to focus more on
design as well by calling in designer Vera Wang to make a line called Simply Vera (2009 Watts).
Targets Strategy
The Target Company uses many different strategies; it all depends on what team you are working
for. The Target team wants to remain the industry leader and helps us define a path for every stage
of our growth. Roles include everything from consulting projects on complex business problems to
planning new processes and systems for specific tasks. The mission of organizational performance
improvement (OPI) is to drive Target s success by elevating the capabilities of team members and
solving complex business problems of high impact. OPI helps Target define, plan and lead
impactful change. The team executes this mission by offering training, consulting, initiative
planning and project leadership (2013 Target)

Scrutinize Government Agencies
I have always found it interesting how harshly people scrutinize public agencies. A majority of the
public believe, to some extent, that the government is not doing enough for them or that
government agencies are inefficient and a waste of their tax dollars. The public claims that they
are not seeing enough improvements based on how much money they are putting into these
systems and essentially feel cheated out of their own hard earned money. I would like to
understand what public agencies must do in order to improve their image and get the American
people to confide in them and trust that their tax dollars are going to good use. The Department of
Homeland Security is certainly not my favorite agency, but I do find it to be one of the most

As I Reflect On The Process Of Writing This Rhetoric Analytic
As I reflect on the process of writing this rhetoric analytic research paper on two different
scholarly educational articles from different educational journals, I realize that this was the
most difficult paper to write thus far. Before this class, I never knew what rhetoric analysis of a
paper was and had no clue how to do it until we were granted the rhetoric worksheets. It was a
challenge writing this paper because prior to the peer review, I did not choose the appropriate
articles. I had two from the same journal because I did not read the directions thoroughly. Also,
organizing the paper was difficult because I was not sure how to exactly write a rhetoric paper on
articles. After the peer review, I received great advice on how I can... Show more content on

Although these two articles are scholarly and educational, they do differ in conditions like the
articles context, the overall purpose of the articles, and the articles exigency, or relevancy.
The scholarly article, Dressed and Groomed for Success in Elementary School Student Appearance
and Academic Adjustment is written by Caroline Fitzpatrick, Carolyn Cote Lussier, and Clancy
Blair. This scholarly, peer reviewed article is about how instructor s negative perceptions, biases,
and academic adjustments for their students can not only hinder student s potential in the
classroom, but also their outlook on schools, specifically in elementary grades.
The second scholarly article, Critical Race Theory and Whiteness of Teacher Educationis written by
Christine E. Sleeter. This article is about how teacher education can be changed by addressing the
Whiteness within it and how the targeted audience can be challenged.
Due to the fact that the articles are different, then the purposes for these articles differ. The
purpose of the first article is to see how theory and research suggest that students academic
experiences are likely to be associated with their general appearance and demeanor (Fitpatrick et
al. 32). It is to inform the audience of teachers and policy makers, on how teachers are pre judging
their students based off of their initial appearance and relating that to their competence at school.

The Effects Of Estrogen And Postmenopausal Women
In this article, researchers wanted to assess the effects of estrogen and progesterone treatment on
visual and verbal cognitive function in postmenopausal women. In the abstract, researchers
identified estrogen, progesterone, and synthetic progestin as the hormones in question. However,
researchers did not identify the ultimate reason why these hormones were important to women who
experienced menopause. In fact, the researchers did not define postmenopausal women, the
symptoms they experience, or the need for hormone treatment. This presents a minor flaw; without
detailing the importance of the study, it gives off the perception that the researchers were only

Even with the references that they provided, they did not extract the information and present it in a
way that made it comparable, detail by detail, to estrogen and progesterone. They were able to list
why synthetic progestin was a risk, but not as to why it was a benefit, or why synthetic progestin
was being administered in the first place for hormonal treatment. Even on line 6, on page 3, the
researchers stated despite the significant distinctions between progesterone and synthetic
progestins... , but failed to identify the significant distinctions between them. On page 2, line 15,
they stated that progesterone is likely to be more beneficial and carry fewer risks than its synthetic
counterpart , but did not include an analysis of the difference, or why cognitively they are important.
The researchers emphasized the need for a closer investigation of progesterone effects in
postmenopausal women, but continue to exclaim that it is potentially so much better than synthetic
progestin or estrogen. Results from previous studies were not operationalized to be used within
means of this study. Often, throughout the paper, the researchers use terms such as variable,
general, almost uniformly, or mostly, to describe results. However, it is difficult to distinguish the
significance of the references they are using because the claims are generalized. The few studies

How diesel has become the cleaner safer fuel than gasoline for vehicles. Here in the US we are

Short Term Memory Research Paper
Delayed Free Recall Experiments
Delayed free recall experiments consists of subjects being given a rundown with words or images
following the test of remembering the most words possible afterwards. In the middle of these two
stages, there is a short postponement or interlude, which contrarily impacts the measure of words
that can be recalled. (11)
Short Term MemoryMemories are formed through a process of encoding and storing information
in the brain so that it can be easily accessible in future occasions. In order to remember facts, our
brains reproduce a sequence of neural activity that imitates the initial conditions of information

It is selective and prolific not all information is stored by the brain even though the acquisition of
data is continuous. The encoding process entails making associations with previously known facts,
which contributes to the longevity of information. Once an event has been processed by the brain,
it is then stored. This leads to Long Term Memory (LTM) and, consequently, a physical alteration
of the brain. The structure of neurons is changed, and circuits, known as neural networks, are
created or strengthened. Moreover, the production of proteins and the transfer of neurotransmitters
to receptors through synapses, augments and solidifies circuits. With the repetition of such process
through the continuous retrieval of memory, the synapse connections become more efficient and
the memory is hardened. These steps contribute to the consolidation of memories which is
essential to learning. The retention period is also invaluable to the formation of LTM and is a
product of time and the occurrence of no overlaps. If similar pieces of information are processed
by the brain, it is likely that one will interfere with the memorization of the other as the brain
becomes distraught and is unable to store them. The retrieval process is determined by how easily
accessible memories are. The more connections pieces of information have with already stored
memories, the faster they can be

Critical Analysis Of Allen Ginsberg s Howl
The Beat Generation is a literary movement during the 1950s that consisted of male authors
including the widely known Allen Ginsberg, who explored American culture in their poems. The
Beat Generation could be described as misogynistic and patriarchal due to their exclusion of women
and concerns confined to only male outcasts. In Allen Ginsbergs 1956 Howl, he brings his audience
s attention to male outcasts in society. In her 2015 Howl , a critical response to Ginsberg s Howl ,
Amy Newman explores the oppression outcasted women endure in a male dominated culture
through the allusions of an admired female poet, Ginsberg s original stanza form, and utilizing
diction to convey a woman s perspective antithetically to Allen Ginsberg s original.
In Amy Newman s Howl , she alludes to Sylvia Plath, an American female poet, who is
acknowledged for her hardships as a outcasted female in the poetry world due to her oppressive
marriage. Newman illustrates Plath as, [a] star spangled lost in her housebound Eden curse with
orchards and a million gossipy daffodils, writing and nursing and not on the lists... (Newman). In
Allen Ginsberg s original Howl he adverts to male poets he admires of his time, opposingly
Newman emulates Ginsberg s technique and alludes to a feminist iconic poet Sylvia Plath.
Newman implements a biblical allusion referencing The Garden of Eden to depict Plath as a
successful female poet who was metaphorically locked in her household; where a woman s place

What Was The Renaissance Period The Ethical Point Of View...
The renaissance period was the time in which the elements of humanism were considered as
priority. Humanism is the ethical point of view of life that helps aspire the greater side of
humanity. Humanism was not properly appreciated until late 15th century in which it was reborn.
This revival is the exact translation of the word Renaissance. The Renaissance followed the Middle
Agesfrom late 1400 and extended al the way to 1600. Historians claim that this irrational

surveying technology that did not exist even 100 years ago . The military equipment of ancient
Rome, such as artillery machinery, was still state of the art 200 years ago . Neither Rome nor
Egypt invented much new technology , but rather applied existing technology in new ways.
Application of technology expanded to meet the priorities of these two civilizations and innovative
application of new technology came through exchange of differing ideas and strong... Show more

Romans solved this by applying Persian aqueduct technology . Technology spread throughout the
military, right down to simple but highly effective Celtic sourced chainmail body armor that
protected the lowly foot soldier. Rome s military technology allowed the empire to grow and
sustain. The rise of Rome was accomplished through military means, where ...each new conquest
became vulnerable and led to further expansion. This objective was first above anything else.
Without the military strength to establish and spread the empire, no other artistic, architectural,
domestic, or other cultural innovation could take place . This state priority was for survival
because without relentless enhancements to labor resources, military methods, and technology,
Rome would fall. In fact, Rome nearly fell, and in 31 BC, Octavian established a military
dictatorship, called the Principate . The military campaigns provided the raw material to make the
military even stronger labor and new ideas and technology.
The intellect of newly conquered countries brought with them new ideas and new technology. For
example, even the one technology of glass blowing the Empire invented, no Roman ever invented
it, for it seems to have developed in present day Syria. The pace at which technology was applied
in the military quickened because the new ideas

Redemption And The Karmic Cycle
Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. Every living being on this planet has flaws,
has made errors and has committed sins. It is just to say that life has no favourites, and metes
out punishment to anybody who commits mistakes. People eventually pay for their acts of sin.
So, why is it that some people are able to make peace with their past mistakes and graciously
welcome the life they have in front of them? The answer to this is redemption. Redemption is the
second chance life gives us, to atone for our sins, mend our faults and change our story. It is up to
every individual how he or she wants to perceive this rare opportunity given by life. This resonates
with the philosophy of the karmic cycle.
According to renowned mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik, Hindu mythology sees destinations as
merely an individual s choice. For a person who believes there is life after death, death is merely
an artificial milestone. What is natural, however is action. Every action has a reaction,
consequences of which are both short lived and long term. Karma is both the action and the reaction,
the cause and the consequence, the stimulus and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Little Pig Let Me Come In Summary
Once upon a time... There were three little pigs, who left their mother and father to see the world.
During the summer of time the three little pigs laughed and played carefree.
Then when winter came they needed to build a house.
The first that went off met a Horse with a bundle of straw, and said to hi m: Please, Horse, give me
that straw to build me a house.
Which the Horse did, and the little pig built a house with it.
Presently came along a wolf, and knocked at the door, and said:
Little pig, little pig, let me come in.
To which the pig answered: No, not on your life.
The wolf then answered to that:
Then I ll huff, and I ll puff, and I ll blow your house in.
So he huffed, and he puffed, and he blew his house in, and ate up the little pig.

The Pros And Cons Of Ida B. Wells
The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting Sun Tzu. Many of the famous
Civil Rights leaders would agree with this quote, but while there also leaders that wanted
violence. Many famous people of this time period had differing opinions on how to make the lives
of African Americans safer. The primary sources from Wells, Washington, Turner, Du Bois, and
Harper showed their separate opinions on how to better the lives of African Americans, and each
person had positives and negatives, but the alternative offered by Ida B. Wells would have caused
larger problems between the black and white communities. Two of the alternatives proposed were
considered radical and almost dangerous to the African Americancommunity. The first radical idea
was proposed by Ida B. Wells. She believed that the African American population needs to stand up
against the government to show that the lynching and unjust treatment in America is unfair. Wells
was famous for her boycotting of the railroads, and she wanted every household to have a gun just
in case of emergencies involving the white people. These ideas were very radical for the time
period because she wanted people to hurt others first, she famously states, The strong arm of the law
must be brought to bear upon lynchers in severe punishment, but this cannot and will not be done
unless a healthy public sentiment demands and sustains such action . Ida B. Wells had passionate
beliefs, but this would not be the best

Globalization And The Global Economic System
When we think of globalization historically, should we apply it within the frame works of archaic,
proto and modern? A. G. Hopkins who wrote Globalization in World History tends to think we
should. He defines archaic globalization as before to the industrious revolution and the creation of
the modern state prior to 1500. For Hopkins, this time period planted the seeds of what would
become the proto period. In proto globalization, from 1500 1800, arose the beginnings of the state
and the dilation of the global economic system by increased efficiency in revenue exploitation and
the revolution of military fiscalism. Lastly, modern globalization began to emerge in the mid
1800s to the mid 1900s. What defined this period separately from proto global periods was the
ascent of the nationstate and the aggrandizement of industrialization. Based on the categories of
globalization above, it is useful to look at the historical progression of globalization in the context
provided by Hopkins. In order to do make this argument however, it will be important to examine
how globalization started as the archaic then matured to the proto, and finally transformed in to the
modern by looking at how the state evolved its method of legitimizing itself, and the refinement of
consumption relationships and patterns. In the archaic period of globalization, there were ancient
forms of the state known as the warrior system and different types of consumption known as cosmic
king ship, universal

The Positive And Negative Effects Of The Endangered...
The Effects of the Endangered Species Act Thirty seven different species of animals have
recovered their population since being placed on the endangered species list, yet over two
thousand still remain. The purpose of the Endangered Species Act is to save those species that are
either considered threatened or endangered, and provide them with the habitat they need to thrive
in . In 1973, this act was passed, and it has been in action ever since(NOAA Fisheries). While it
has been successful at recovering the populations of some species, it has been very ineffective at
doing so with others, sometimes the ones who need the help most. The Endangered SpeciesAct is a
controversial topic because it has both positive and negative effects. First and foremost, the
Endangered Species Act is a good thing for animals because it helps to recover species populations.
For the foxes native to the Channel Islands, they had faced a major population threat, and were on
the edge of extinction. It was not until they were placed on the list of endangered species, that
their numbers rebounded to a sufficient level In the article, California Island Foxes Removed
from Endangered Species list , Alicia Chang states, Populations have returned to self sustaining
levels ranging from an estimated 700 foxes on San Miguel Island to 2,000 foxes on Santa Cruz
Island (Chang). This piece from the article explains how because of being placed on the list of
endangered species, the fox population was

It was as if an internal force had taken over him, shutting down his rebelliousness and aspiration
to make a statement, but why? Phillip s ambivalence thoughts both confused and tormented him
as he remembered his dream in which he had the other day. Who were those men he saw in it?
He knew after having the dream that it wasn t the first time he had seen them, that was for
certain. They were both there in the vision he had back when he had become debilitated, falling
unconscious in the local park, but who were they? Where was he when he found himself in that
weird tube like contraption he had emerged from? What was that gigantic facility that held
everyone captive, and who were the other people locked away in the tubes? All questions that
continuously mockingly danced around in Phillip s head as he sat on his bed staring off into a
void, but he had no answers for any of them. His answers laid on the other side. With that other
world. With the volunteers if that s who those men truly were, an ever growing suspicion. But,
that other world was a million miles away, and the only doorway to it was in either becoming
sick or be called home. Nobody had ever come back after being called home, though. Phillip was
pretty sure of that. At least, he had never heard of such a thing happening. In his mind, he was
positive that being called home was some form of death or what was death before the volunteers
arrival. People had always died.

Papers On Dumb Drivers
Dumb Drivers At age 16, I have only been driving for 15 months, and I have only been licensed
for six of those few months. That s a mere half of a year. Some might say I am inexperienced, but
then why do I still seem to know more about driving than 75% of drivers on the road? Maybe it s
because I just took drivers ed, or maybe I ve just gotten a lot of practice. I m not saying my
driving skills are anything more than satisfactory; however, it appears to me that most other
drivers have skills far below average. I understand emergencies happen and people get distracted,
but that is no excuse for the poor driving quality I witness every day around my own
neighborhood. Why do our roads seem to be filled with subpar drivers? Perhaps the rules of the
road slowly slip their mind over the 10 40 years it s been since they have participated in a driving
program. Maybe people get careless as they grow older, believing their time on the road makes
them an expert driver, or maybe they no longer have the respect for the vehicle they are driving
and the responsibility that goes with it. Maybe that s why they will pull out so carelessly into the
road only to hit a new, less experienced driver.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Mountain Mountains On The Planet
Mountain climbing in Alaska When I hear a person talk about the great state of Alaska, I wonder
what he or she would say about it. Is it the endless mountain ranges covered with snow, or could it
be the frigid temperatures? The state of Alaska has mountains as far as the eye can see. If you have
ever climbed to the top of a mountain, you know how exciting it can be once you have reached the
top. Especially, when it is your first experience climbingthe face of any mountain and you do not
know what to expect. As a child, my memory recalls the first time I was pretending to scale
towering mountain sides to impress my friends and family. When we are children, the world
appears a lot larger, and the mountain tops in my back yard in southern California seemed
colossal to me. Playing in the foothills, I would try to imagine myself scaling one of the greatest
mountains on the planet. Nearly twenty five years have come to pass, and I still seek mountain
ranges to explore. I have always enjoyed the outdoors, rather than being indoors all the time.
Mountain climbing is rewarding and exhausting simultaneously. I like to find new places out in
the wilderness. One of my favorite moments is when I find a waterfall; something about the
sounds of flowing water soothes my soul. At the beginning of 2010, I received a call from the

Overview of the War of the Rif
The Rif Army
The war of the Rif, also known as the second Moroccan War, was fought from 1920 to 1926.
Spain, France and the Moroccan Berbers, of the Rif s mountain region, had joined forces to take
control and divide the country of Morocco into even parts. The reason behind this was because
they wanted power, like most imperializing countries strive for. What the invading force did not
know was that this was not going to be an easy task.
The Rifs, the indigenous tribes of Morocco had joined forces to fight this super power using
guerrilla warfare that devastated the Spanish and French forces. Led by Abd al Karim, the Rifs
defeated the Spanish on their initial invasion and took control of large amounts of European
weapons (Pletcher, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the Spanish army had more than 140,000 soldiers on ground, they were no match for the
highly skilled Rifian army. Eventually the Spanish reservists had to call for assistance from the
Spanish army of Africa to aid them in this conflict. The Spanish army began to train with the French
army on combat tactics and procedures in which they eventually adopted, thus the Spanish Legion
was established in 1920 under the command of General Francisco Franco. As their numbers grew
larger, so did their reputation for being extremely ruthless, as they led a large number of offensive
operations, ravaging and devastating the country of Morocco.
The War
During the course of the war, the Spanish army in northern Morocco was defeated by the Rif
army in July of 1921. This day is now known as the Disaster of Annual . 8,000 soldiers and
officers were reported killed in action or had disappeared out of an initial total of 20,000 soldiers.
The Spanish were starting to be pushed back over the following five years due to the evolving
tactics that the Rif army was using against Spain. As the Rif army pushed east, they had captured
over 130 Spanish military forts. Towards the end of 1921, Spain had lost all of the territory they
had gained during the initial invasion in 1909. The remaining 14,000 Spanish soldiers fell back to
one of the last remaining forts in eastern Morocco Melilla which happened to be their largest

We Must Install Breathalyzers in Cars Essay
Why do we need breathalyzers in our cars? Well, it could just save your life and the lives of
others. In a drunk driving accident in Minneapolis, 20 year old Brody Sotona was killed instantly
and his friend in the passenger seat Connor Macklin in critical condition from the drunk driver,
Yia Her (Latest News). Installing a breathalyzer or an interlock system in all standard vehicles can
help prevent accidents like this one from happening. A breathalyzer is a device used for
determining the content of alcohol from a sample of one s breath. Robert Borkenstein invented it in

There are other ways to test for high alcohol levels, but a breathalyzer is a more convenient
device used for estimating content of alcohol from a sample of one s breath. The Urban
Insurance Agency indicates that while statistics are expected to increase, legislators are getting
alarmed to mandate everybody s vehicle to be equipped with a breathalyzer (SRInstitute).
Having them in everybody s vehicle can save lives and protect us from the dangers of other
peoples foolishness by not letting others and ourselves get behind the wheel when intoxicated.
Some people would be offended by having a breathalyzer in their car because they may not even
drink at all. Even someone who does not drink still should have an interlock system in their car
because if their friend or someone else drives the car at some point where they are intoxicated
beyond the limits it could save their life and help prevent the risk of having an accident and
harming others in the process. The typical interlock system has many safeguards to minimize
cheating. An ignition interlock system combines a Breathalyzer with electronics to bypass the
ignition in your car, and you must use it before starting your car. To get your car started you
must first blow into the breathalyzer so it can tell if you re over .08 or not. If not then you are
able to drive and you have two minutes to start your car. While driving to your destination it may

Normative Context Of Advice
In Goldsmith and Fitch s 1997 article The Normative Context of Advice as Social Support the
dilemmas associated with giving, seeking, and taking advice are examined. The overarching goal
of this study is to analyze what the normative actions of support, specifically advice, are. The
research questions that were taken into consideration are as follows: what goals are pursued as
people ask for, and give, advice; what identity and relational implications of advice shape givers and
receivers reactions to advice; and what situational, conversational, and cultural constraints are
relevant to participants evaluation of advice? (Goldsmith Fitch, 1997) Multiple dilemmas were
found pertaining to advice including honesty versus support, caring vesrsus intrusive, and respect
versus autonomy. Each of these qualities are present in every interaction in which advice is given,
asked for, or received. As for the first pair of qualities, honesty and support, it manifests itself in the
situation. How the advice is taken is dependent on the present circumstances, rather than on
relational context. For example, if someone were to ask to be brutally honest, this does not
constitute perpetual honesty; instead, it allows a temporary period during which being... Show more

Furthermore, it would be great to break down the population into subgroups of males and females. I
think this could yield some interesting results because of the communication differences between
genders. Deborah Tannen makes some interesting points about this in her book You Just Don t

men because they tend to focus on the cooperative aspect of a relationship, whereas men tend to
focus on the competitive aspect (Tannen, 1990). Then, the gender of the person receiving the

The Traditional Family And Social Development Of The...
A snapshot of the classic yet desired white family of the 1950 s: a pale skinned man with a
pressed tie and shiny dress shoes, enjoys the pancakes and eggs his slender and sweet wife had
prepared for him before work. The gentle figure leans to kiss her children who hustle to catch the
school bus, a full lunch box in each hand and new toys for show and tell. However, this depiction
of the traditional american familyhas been greatly modified. In her family history course, Stephanie
Coontz asked her students to illustrate their own concept of a traditional or perfect family.
Unsurprisingly, the predominating result was the stereotypical nuclear family, consisting of only
father, mother, and children. This had once been culturally correct, but beginning in the mid 1900 s,
the ideal American family has changed immensely with social development. Although the
traditional family still exists in several households across the nation, the majority of families are far
from the initial standards.
A monumental change to the traditional American family came in 2015 when same sex marriage
was legalized. This momentous step to ensure the acceptance and rights of ranging sexualities had
not only enhanced the quality of life for same sex couples, but also transformed the iconic
household. Now that gays all across the nation were granted their right to marry, it was no longer
necessarily husband and wife but the classic couple could be wife and wife or husband and
husband . This

This is one evidence of how much Canada cares about national security and is willing to go to any
extent. The October Crisis case seems like nothing compared to the acts of domestic terrorism that
have occurred in other countries, and I think that to achieve the level of national security that
Canada has acquired these countries should practice policies like the war measures act to solidify

This speech made by Pierre Trudeau shows how much the Canadian government cares about doing
whatever is in the best interest of the country and the Canadian People because it shows that the
government wants to protect its national security, and at the same time wants to do it in a way
that won t harm the general population. However, in the case of the October crisis this was not

Descriptive Essay About Fishing
Not Your Normal Fishing Day It was a foggy 5th of July morning, but was still a perfect day for
fishing. I walked out on the dark brown, hard wood maple, peer where I docked the boat, and
hopped in. That gorgeous, glossy, dark blood red, Nitro boat. On a matte black three hundred and
fifty horsepower Evinrude Engine.Backed out of the pier with ease she did. The water was a dark
greencolor, and there was a blizzard of fog wrapping around me to where I could barely see 20
feet. Conditions for fishing were perfect thanks to the gorgeous green water, and to the snowy
thick fog. Who would think such an enjoyable day could end up being so disastrous? I flew
towards my favorite fishing spot known as Snake Island. Bass always move up in towards the
hard, razor sharp, rocky bank and settle there for the day, and get ready for pre spawn. We
moved up towards the bank, and slowed the boat to almost a stop. The bank always had the
smell of pinecown trees, with a scent of cool refreshing mint. I turned off the roaring Engine,
and balanced my way across the long and skinny boat. My first thought was to grab my cherry
red seven foot rod and put on my favorite sunny yellow Squarebill Crankbait. I tossed it onto the
bank, and it plopped into the water two feet from the bank. Sloooooowly did I reel the bait back
till I felt a hard clash against the bait. My rod jerked down towards the water, and I lifted it to

Research Paper On Graffiti Vandals
Graffiti is not art it is vandalism, because people want to show they are bad and can do bad
things.Graffiti vandals get both public and private property. When a neighborhood has graffiti
people automatically view it as a bad neighborhood . In addition, to the cleanup costs or graffiti,
graffiti vandals shoplift their materials, so it cost the city more money to clean up and pay for the
materials.
Graffiti vandals vandalize both private and public property. The text says, Graffiti vandals vandalize
both public and private property, which becomes costly for taxpayers and business and property

Change In Catcher In The Rye And Rushmore
If you accept the expectations of others, especially negative ones, then you never will change the
outcome (Michael Jordan). This quote from the great Michael Jordan himself sets a perfect path
to start this essay. Change. Change has a lot of meaning to both Holden, from Catcher in the Rye
and to Max, from the movie Rushmore. For Max and Holden, they are two interesting thinkers and
they handle their situations in their own special ways with the help of nobody. Weather it s trying
to get your crush to like you or coping with your brothers death, we see how each character deals
with their own change happening in their lives. Change is unavoidable. Without change, a person
cannot further move on in their life. A person must be able to handle... Show more content on

Max will stop at nothing to please the woman he likes, Miss Cross. Max once tried to build an
aquarium in the middle of the baseball diamond at his high school after he learned Miss Cross
had a mini fish bowl in her classroom. Unexpectedly to Max, a man he once admired, Mr. Blume
and Miss Cross were eventually in love and Max didn t know how to properly handle himself
after the incident. One time we see Max trying to handle the change is when he learns Miss
Cross is in love with Mr. Blume and not him and in this max response when it says, Mr. Blume
pulls into the driveway to pick up the twins from school. There is a lot of traffic and kids are
running around everywhere. Mr. Blume taps the brakes. Nothing happens. He flies toward the
back of a parked station wagon (Rushmore). Mr. Blume tries to break his car to park but realizes
he cannot because his brakes have been cut, this coming after the scene cuts from Max cutting
Mr. Blumes tires. This shows how dangerous Max can be when he is dealt with an occasion like
this. He could have killed him from this incident. As seen, Max is a violent person when it comes
to dealing with change. Another time we seen Max having to deal with change is when he gets
kicked out of his beloved high school, Rushmore. He is kicked out for reasons including bad
grades, and the incidents with Miss Cross. We see how Max reacts to this when he is talking to

Learning From A Foreign Language
Learning to write in a foreign language Life is weird and unexpected. You don t know what is
coming up or what is going through. You don t know what s next, but you do have choices, plans
and Images of your future. I started reading and writing when I was 4, it was in Arabic and
writing in Arabic doesn t have many rules. So by the age of eight, I was done with learninghow to
read and write, and started my science studies. I gained some of my skills through writingin Arabic
like meditation and the way of thinking, but this part of life is barely related to the kind of writer I
am now, because writing in English is completely different. My first experience with reading and
writing in English started when I chose to attend an out siding high schoolin another city. It was a
school for top students. Joining this school was my start point with the English and academic
writing. It was also my start point to be here in the US, more than 7,000 miles away from home.
Looking back, if I didn t join this school, I wouldn t be able to write and read in English and I
wouldn t be able to come here. So life is pretty cool about that, it s just one choice led to a very
long series of events that shaped my writing skills and attitudes.
Starting the high school, one the most significant series of events that shaped my writing skills,
was my academic studies. When I joined the school, I was very weak in English and most of my

Operant Conditioning Program Analysis
A weight loss program in a month is a hard obstacle to tackle. If a roommate is in need of help so
that he can lose weight to make the football team, there are ways in which you can help. A
behavior modification program can be set up to help the roommate. To begin, the principles of
operant conditioning will get him started on his weight loss journey. In order for a successful
program we need to use positive reinforcement, progress reports, and a schedule of reinforcement.
First off, the most effective way one should create a behavior modification program is based upon
the ideas of operant conditioning. Operant conditioning is: learning controlled by the consequences
of the organism s behavior. There are two main categories of operant conditioning.... Show more

A variable interval schedule works on an average time schedule, with the actual interval varying
randomly. A variable schedule is shown to cultivate more positive rates of response than a
consistent schedule. Meanwhile the roommate will be partially reinforced. This means that he will
not be reinforced for every time that he loses weight, but only at random intervals. This partial
reinforcement is shown to slow down the extinction rates of the desired behavior. Next, we will set
the average time interval to be five days. For example, after the first day of the month when the
roommate is initially weighed, we will weigh him seven days after the initial weigh in, and then 3
days after that. By doing this, the average weigh in time is still five days. However, the actual
interval is still at random. Lastly, only various times that the roommate loses weight, he will
receive his gold star as a stimulus for positive reinforcement. After one month of receiving positive
reinforcement in the form of a gold star, the roommate will understand what he should be doing to
lose weight.
In conclusion, using the principle of positive reinforcement in this program will successfully help
the roommate to lose weight and to gain a position on the football team. By using positive
reinforcement and a variable interval schedule of reinforcement, the behavior modification program
will be

Example Of Introvert And Extroverts
since colonising many psychiatrist has brain stormed the terms introvert and extrovert, no body has
actually been fully sure what makes some people have affinity for constant social involvement and
others bound from it. But latterly , science has begun doing some analysis on this front and their
outcomes shows that introverts and extroverts are born that way, not been made. Though many
people are not familiar with the term introversion and often think of it as being shy and mistakes
extroversion with being over friendly, the terms are actually assigned to their relationship with
people. Extroverts links being social to actually feeling confident and soul nourishing whereas
introverts find it taxing and often feel the need of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Conclusion points After going through many research papers and reading articles one can conclude
that being an introvert or an extrovert is in fact a condition. Introverts are preferably fine speaking
out loud or being a little extroverted when the time needs. That does not mean that all introverts and
extroverts behave in this particular manner but this is one of the possibilities. both of the terms
contemplative people and outgoing individuals have turned out to be focal parts of the identity
hypotheses. As indicated by numerous hypotheses of identity, everybody has some level of both
introspection and extraversion. In any case, individuals regularly tend to lean one way or the other.
Self observers have a tendency to be all the more tranquil, held, and contemplative. Dissimilar to
outgoing people who pick up vitality from social cooperation, self observers need to consume
vitality in social circumstances. Subsequent to going to a gathering or investing energy in an

Effective Communication in Team Dynamics Essay
Throughout personal and business lives everyone will eventually work in a team setting. A team
usually consists of three or more people who have a common goal or purpose. When working in a
team, members have to decide what roles they will fill, plan their schedules for projects, and deal
with upcoming team conflicts. Stewart, Sims Manz (1999) stated, For a team to succeed, team
members need to effectively communicate with one another (p. 79). While each element of
teamwork is important, effective communication is the cornerstone to team dynamics.
One of the main elements of effective communication is open discussions. Everyone on the team
needs to be willing to share his or her point of view. De Janasz, Dowd Schneider (2002) ... Show

Once the team has achieved open communication the team members will be more willing to
encourage each other, which will lead to more creativity and risk taking. This creativity will be
achieved by trusting that the communication will be heard, discussed and tried if it will help the
team reach its goals. Temme and Katzel (1995) wrote that risk taking plays a major role in the
creative process. Trust and open communication will lead to brainstorming and sharing of ideas
between the team members. Therefore, team members must try new things to see if the ideas
presented will benefit the ultimate outcome and help achieve the final goal.
Eventually every team will have a conflict. Since conflict is inevitable, effective communication is
vital for the team success. The team needs to figure out what the conflict is, what needs to be done
to get the team going again, what the options are and how they will solve the conflict in a way that
is beneficial to the team (University of Phoenix, 2004). Without effective communication, this
process of conflict resolution would fail. The team members would not be willing to share their
point of view, teamwork would stall, and the conflict would escalate. Once a conflict escalates, the
team will have a hard time coming back together and trusting each other to accomplish the set goals.
The team must be able to communication openly and discuss solutions

Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela s Values
It will be hard to believe if a person says A man who served twenty seven years in prison, turned
out to be one of the greatest presidents our world has seen . Well this did actually happen and this
former president is still living today. Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in Transkei, South
Africa, he was a leader of the anti apartheid movement in the 1940s. Mandela was jailed for 27
years for acts of sabotage against the South African state, and shortly after his release from prison
he led a multi racial party for the first time ever in South Africa s history. By doing this he was
elected as the first black/democratic president of South Africa. Throughout his years as a president

Throughout his battle against apartheid and helping to bring democracy to South Africa, Mandela
adopted a democratic leadership style (Johnson). And according to Johnson Democratic leaders set
policies through group discussion and decision, encouraging and helping group members to
interact, requesting the cooperation of others and this was exactly what Mandela did (Johnson).
Mandela s other key value that supported his leadership and democratic style was his strong
disapproval for injustice. Mandela never tolerated injustice; he believed that justice was the only
path to success. For instance, when Mandela got to Robin Island where he was to be imprisoned,
he was told to jog to the prison gate. He firmly refused and started a hunger strike with other
inmates to condemn the condition they were living in. This worked out in their favor and the
conditions improved (Hume). This example highlights Mandela s value for denouncing injustice
and oppression. Nonetheless, Mandela believed Consensus to be the superior decision making
process to build commitment and motivation in group members toward group objectives. Using
Consensus meant that justice would be served at its best when making a decision and Mandela
fully supported this process (Johnson).
Ultimately, Nelson Mandela is viewed as a revolutionary leader for his ability to empower and
motivate others using his strong regard for consensus and the

Optimal Transmission Expansion Planning Using Biogeography...
Optimal Transmission Expansion Planning Using Biogeography Based Optimization (BBO)
Abstract
Transmission expansion planning (TEP) is now a significant power system optimization problem.
The TEP problem is a large scale, complex and nonlinear combinatorial problem of mixed integer
nature where the number of candidate solutions to be evaluated increases exponentially with
system size. The objective of the TEP is to determine the installation plans of new facilities, lines
and other network equipments. The main goal of this paper centers on the application of
Biogeography Based Optimization (BBO) for the transmission planning systems and it is one of
mathematical methods (algorithms) to get the optimal planning.
An accurate cost function for the transmission system is formulated where both fixed and variable
costs for all planned facilities are includes, in addition to the cost energy losses. The cost function
is then minimized, using (BBO) algorithms. We can be used to derive algorithms for optimization.
We apply the BBO on the model of IEEE of 6 bus test system.
Keywords: Biogeography Based Optimization; Transmission planning
1. Introduction
Transmission system is the bulk transfer of electrical energy, from generating power plants to
electrical substations located near demand centers. The main objective of the transmission
expansion planning (TEP) problem is to determine the optimal expansion plan of the electrical
system. According to the treatment of the study

Employer Branding Essay
Employer branding: what we should look for in a job??????
ABSTRACT
Everybody is seeking for good jobs. Employment is first concern for the society now a days.
Working in a reputed institution has become a status symbol as well. As we are choosing any
product by checking their credibility through the brand image they are having, in the same way
people are seeking for jobs in the organizations having good brand image in the market. Employer
brand is the image which helps the organization in attracting good talent in the market. After
liberalization in 1991 and subsequent economic reforms, Indian companies has understand the
concept of employer branding and started investing for the same so that they can beat national and
international competition and also can grow in world market. Employer brand is something which
confirms that the organization is good to work for. The purpose of this paper is to develop a

Chapter 10 Of Soul Feast
After reading chapter 10 of Soul Feast, I thought to myself what could be my rule of life? Where
do I need support in my daily walk with Christ? What is it in my life that needs work and could
be spiritually damaging, if not dealt with? Where do I need to be held accountable? After asking
myself these series of questions, it is almost as if God spoke aloud to me. You are very Judge
mental it is ugly and not of God. I said well there it is. The practice that works well for me, is the
practicing Silence. I love this, I find that God can deal with me better in silence. I can hear what
God is saying and what God wants me to do. In my life s journey, I find that practicing silence is
what got me where God wants me to be. In doing this God pours directly in to me, his divine
plan. There was a time when I needed to know what God wants me to do. How do you want me
to serve you, because that is all that I want to do. Spiritual formation teaches you to get closer to
God. Learning theses disciplines taught me to find a way to get closer to him, so that I can
operate in my salvation better. Meaning if you know what Gods plan is for you because your
close to him, you can be more obedient to his principle and precepts. If you study his word and
meditate on it daily, you can walk up right before God. Now understand this doesn t mean you
won t fall it means you may fall less. Practicing silence is something that I will do for the rest of
my life. This is a good spiritual practiceto

Grand Jean Company
Introduction:
Founded in the 19th century, the Grand Jean Company survived the large economy crises in 1929.
It became one of the largest clothing companies in the world around 1989. Its main products are
pants for men and boys. But also women pants are produced there. With the wash and wear , bell
bottom and flare leans and modern casual pants, the company was market leading.
The company owns 25 plants for manufacturing with an output capacity of 20.000 pants per week.
However, this production is not enough to satisfy the demand on the market. As a result of that, the
company decided to employ independent manufacturers. Last year, these contractors produced one
third of the total sales.

Moreover, evaluating the performance only at the end of the year, pushes plantmanager to be

but one of its principal problem is that it doesn t arrive to satisfy the clients needs due to not
enough production (they have to begin ration the pants to buyers as early as four months prior to
close of the production year). However, we could notice that the goals of production division and
marketing one don t meet this goal. Indeed, the goal of the production s division is to meet the
quota while the objective of the marketing division is to forecast the sales unit and sales dollar (but
if the production could not achieve to product these forecast the net income will not increase).
Therefore, there is no real cohesion in the objectives. That is why, Grand Jean calls upon
independent contractors. But, it increases the cost (of establishing a contract for instance) and
furthermore, these contractors become a competitor of the Grand Jean plants although they have
not the same bottom line responsibility (it s an advantage for them and in a very competitive
market like the pants one it is a problem). The Management Control system of Grand Jean don t

Examples Of Ethos In The Declaration Of Independence
Classical rhetoric considers that a speaker or writer has three appeals at his or her disposal: to
ethos (the standing of the writer or speaker), to pathos (emotion), and to logos (reason), divided into
deductive reasoning and inductive reasoning. (The Declaration) Jefferson s drafting of the
Declaration of Independence is based on three types of argument ethos, pathos, logos which are
modes of persuasion. They are also referred to as the three artistic proofs (Aristotlecoined the
terms), and are all represented by Greek words. (Holliday)
The principle of ethos is to prove to the audience/reader that the writer is a reasonable person and
is therefore credible. The writers of the Declaration of Independence establish their ethical
standing, that they are men of good sense, good character, and good will; first, by acknowledging
that they need to explain to the world the reasons for their actions. (The Declaration) Jefferson does
this very skillfully in the first line of the Declaration when he announces to the world that the
Declaration is written out of respect for those who must judge the rightness or wrongness of the
colonies decision to break with Great Britain: ...decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires

The Pointer made its first public appearance at Farnborough in September 1988 and flew for the
first time (albeit poorly using Boeing flight controls) on November 21, 1988. But the partnership
ended in September 1989 when Boeing dropped out of the program after only 12ВЅ hours of flight

  • 2. My Journey Of My Career Development Miranda Kilmer Integration Paper My journey to my career development has been a roller coaster ride to say the least. Everything I ve learned in this class and throughout the years has shaped me into who I am and has played a major role in my career decision making process. Ever since I was little I was always interested in acting and had dreamed of being in movies. Many kids probably had a similar dream, but for some reason I had a strong desire to follow through with it. Whenever I watched a movie I would always catch myself saying the lines along with the characters, and changing my voice to fit each role. No one ever really knew that this was something I was interested in because I never admitted to it. I never told anybody because every time I would bring it up, everyone seemed to have the same opinion about it. They say that being an actor is not a reliable career and that being successful in that industry is a long shot. As I got older I started to agree with them. I pushed aside my dream of becoming an actress and decided to focus on more reliable career choices like lawyers, teachers, doctors, etc... When I tried to find interest in these jobs, it always failed. They just didn t fit my personality and after taking this class I learned why. This class has really helped me develop a sense of myself. I learned a lot about myself with the help of the self assessment inventories, journal entries, values ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Atrocities And Liberation Of Concentration Camps The Atrocities and Liberation of Concentration Camps If you combine sadistic Nazi soldiers, a license to kill, and twenty six million people whom they took their aggression out on, you have the Holocaust. From torture to murder, the concentration camp prisoners experienced almost every despicably, inhumane act one can imagine. Hitler s Nazis will never be able to justify this ultimate example of cruelty and unfairness. Although the Holocaust occurred nearly seventy years ago, the world will never fail to remember the horrible acts that were committed against millions of innocent people in concentration camps. Whether the camps establishments were for labor purposes, or simply because Hitler... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Next, every bit of their hair was shaved off with electric razors and shearing machines. That hair was used to make clothing that the guards and their dogs would wear. To finish off this disinfecting process, the deportees were then taken into a shower room and were immersed in a phenol solution. Those who lived, for many had died because they weren t able to stand or became unconscious, were given wool rags to wear and wooden sandals that caused inflammation. Paper clothing that the deportees had made was taken, and some had resorted to trading in their food for clothing, only to have it confiscated shortly afterward (Whissen 5 13). Housing assignments for the prisoners were then issued. The prisoners barracks, which were designed to house half the people who were stuffed into them, were filthy and full of vermin, as one of the women assigned to them stated: When we arrived, the sleeping accommodations appeared to be quite nice; the beds had been neatly made, and on each straw mattress there was a small, blue white coverlet that was almost pretty. But unfortunately our contentment did not last long. When we turned down the corner of the coverlet, we saw that the mattresses and covers were crawling with vermin. My blanket was filthy. • 4. Compare And Contrast Andrew Jackson And The Democratic Party Who would believe me if I said for a short time in American history there was only one political party? Well, from the years 1812 to 1824 the Republican Party was the only political party in the U.S. Due to an increasing amount of voter interest the election of 1828 saw the first presidential candidates from two separate parties. Andrew Jacksonwas the representative from the Democratic Party, and Henry Clay represented the Whig Party. Both Democratic and Whig parties impacted America in many ways during the 19th century, but one in particular stood out significantly amongst the other. Soon after the war of 1812, the Federalist Party collapsed, leaving just one political party in the U.S. for over a decade. It was not until the election of 1824 that there was an emergence of a second party system. As stated previously one party led by Andrew Jackson was the Democrats. The Democratic Party developed when Andrew Jackson was elected president. The democrats believed in helping the common man. They stayed out of state affairs, favored the working class, and were tolerant of immigrants. The Whig party which consisted of mainly prosperous people formed in opposition to the Democratic Party. They believed that the federal government should be actively involved in the economy to stimulate growth. They were also in favor of tariffs to protect infant industries and internal improvements. Andrew Jackson was a major political figure for the democrats. He and John Quincy Adams were the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Three Famous Men Of Shakespeare Research Paper Three Famous Men of Shakespeare s Time Three important people during the time of Shakespeare were Galileo Galilei, Martin Luther, and Francisco Vasquez de Coronado. These men all had great influence in their respective fields during the sixteenth century. Galileo worked in several similar fields: astronomy, mathematics, and inventing. Martin served as a pastor and major leader in the Reformation. Francisco served the Spanish in Mexico and is often remembered for his conquests and explorations in America. • 6. Persuasive Essay On Social Media Snapchat Social media tricks people to believe others are living a ravisher life than they really are. They post only the highlights of their lives, and never the negative. It makes others view them falsely and more presentable than they actually are, which makes those viewing their profiles feel less satisfied with themselves and their lives. There are even some people who drop all social media because of how terrible it makes them feel, but there are also others who thrive for the attention of social media and go through ridiculous tasks in order to take the perfect picture. There have been many disputes over how social media websites such as Instagram or Facebook affects ones self esteem, it can knock them down. One might say that social media is a tool that helps us get connected with the rest of the world, but it is truly a recipe for disaster. One of my really close friends Lara is insanely obsessed with Instagram and Snapchat, she is on it every second of the day. Once she and her boyfriend broke up she started stalking him every day, bible. She d go on every social media website he had an account for, until one day she saw a Snapchat story (a story on snapchat is only available to the user s friends for twenty four hours). The story reveled her ex and a new girl, ever since Lara has posted an insane number of pictures on Instagram, some of them are very catfish, they don t look like her at all. • 7. Inclusion Of Children With Disabilities Inclusion, known as the act of including or being included within a group or structure. In today s world the act of inclusion within the classroom is becoming more and more well known in most schools. This could be the act of including a child with special needs or even a child where their second language is English. As recent as a hundred years ago, children with disabilities received little, if any, formal education. In the tradition of segregating students during the middle to late 19th century. Special schools for those with special needs continued to be created in the early 1900s. These schools claimed to educate children; however, they primarily served as residential facilities and institutions. Even in 1918, as states began creating a nationwide public school system, children with disabilities were usually excluded. Between 1850 and 1950 classes were created for people to learn how care for individuals with disabilities. Parents of kids with special needs began to make programs and schools for their kids. Even though these came up it was still more well known for parents to send their kids to a residential facility. With them believing that was still the best thing to do. In the Rehabilitation act of 1973 educational rights were guaranteed to federal funded institutions. Then the IDEA was the first things to have education be provided in the least restrictive environment, the same school. Although still rare in many school districts, real special educationinclusion ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A number of different experiments were also looked at which demonstrated how resistances to certain HIV 1 anti retrovirals are arising. As presented in the appendix, this specific section will evaluate the results from many randomized control trials (RCTs), case control studies, prospective cohort studies with and without controls, retrospective cohort studies with and without controls and cross sectional studies. Integrase is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They looked at multiple coding sequences of the HIV 1 integrase enzyme form blood plasma samples of 61 patients. They categorized the main integrase region sequences as subtype B, with minor subtypes being C (CRF01 AE, CRF02 AG and CRF13 cpx), D and G. No major integrase drug resistance mutations have been observed in new patients beginning with integrase inhibitor treatment, however in 30 cases, polymorphic variations with the E157Q mutation were observed. This mutation was more common among subtype B (26 cases) than with non B subtypes (5 cases). Major integrase inhibitor drug resistance mutations (G140S, Q148H, N155H, V151I, E92EQ, V151I, G163R) were notable in four of these cases. Time to the development of drug resistance ranged from 3 to 16 months with a mean increase of HIV viral load of 4.34 HIV RNA copies/ml at the time of emergence of the major mutations. (11) Figure 1 demonstrates four cases in which resistance to integrase inhibitors were observed. In a study conducted by Piralla et al., HIV 1 integrase variability was analyzed using stored plasma samples from 95 patients infected with HIV 1, within a one year period from 2008 to 2009. Patients with no available plasma samples or viral load less than 1,000 HIV RNA copies/ml plasma were excluded from the analysis. Their results demonstrate that primary mutations associated with resistance to integrase inhibitors were not detected in patients that have previously been treated with integrase ... • 9. Essay On Neonatal Hypoglycemia The neonatal hypoglycemia mechanism occurs when maternal diabetics mother gives birth to newborns. Glucose is the main nutrient source for newborns received in the maternal placenta. The symptoms of hypoglycemia are difficult to treat in newborns. If untreated, the hypoglycemia can lead to brain damage or seizures. The most common symptoms are coma, apathy, jitteriness, and inadequate feedings. Infants born with small gestational age (SGA) or large gestational age (LGA) can be susceptible to hypoglycemia. Maternal diabetics secrete extra insulinwhich causes neonates to have low blood glucose levels. Zhou et al conducted a study of 668 neonates who were admitted to the Pediatrics Center Hospital at Shanghai for hypoglycemia (Zhou et al, 2015). After being admitted, maternal diabetics were separated from neonates and inhibited from breastfeeding. Neonates with hypoglycemia were monitored on a regular basis on their blood glucose levels. Babies with hypoglycemia of 2.6 mM/L low blood glucose concentration were recommended to consume 200 mg/kg dextrose gel through feeding. After attempting treatments, the intensive care unit provided infant formula and dextrose to maintain blood glucose levels (Harris et al 2012). Essay on Development and Analysis of Two Mini Case Studies Development and Analysis of Two Mini Case Studies This is a SWOT analysis of Target Corporation and K Mart, to be followed by a cross case analysis of the two mini cases. The success and failure in these cases is based on volume of sales and recognition of the two companies. Target SWOT Analysis Target is a mass merchandising store based out of Roseville, Minnesota and founded in 1962. Almost 50 years later, Target is still going strong. They have always been in direct competition with the world s largest retailer, Wal Mart, and are still in business which is quite impressive. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This way people would shop more to get more points on their cards and would not worry so much about the high prices. This would take away from the fact that it is more expensive than Wal Mart (2009 Watts). Threats: There are a few competitors that could be a threat to Target. I think the number one is Wal Mart. Despite the fact that they are the number one retailer in the world, they also have very low prices. Kmart also proves a threat to Target just because they are beginning to focus more on design as well by calling in designer Vera Wang to make a line called Simply Vera (2009 Watts). Targets Strategy The Target Company uses many different strategies; it all depends on what team you are working for. The Target team wants to remain the industry leader and helps us define a path for every stage of our growth. Roles include everything from consulting projects on complex business problems to planning new processes and systems for specific tasks. The mission of organizational performance improvement (OPI) is to drive Target s success by elevating the capabilities of team members and solving complex business problems of high impact. • 11. Scrutinize Government Agencies I have always found it interesting how harshly people scrutinize public agencies. A majority of the public believe, to some extent, that the government is not doing enough for them or that government agencies are inefficient and a waste of their tax dollars. The public claims that they are not seeing enough improvements based on how much money they are putting into these systems and essentially feel cheated out of their own hard earned money. I would like to understand what public agencies must do in order to improve their image and get the American people to confide in them and trust that their tax dollars are going to good use. As I Reflect On The Process Of Writing This Rhetoric Analytic As I reflect on the process of writing this rhetoric analytic research paper on two different scholarly educational articles from different educational journals, I realize that this was the most difficult paper to write thus far. Before this class, I never knew what rhetoric analysis of a paper was and had no clue how to do it until we were granted the rhetoric worksheets. It was a challenge writing this paper because prior to the peer review, I did not choose the appropriate articles. I had two from the same journal because I did not read the directions thoroughly. Also, organizing the paper was difficult because I was not sure how to exactly write a rhetoric paper on articles. After the peer review, I received great advice on how I can... The scholarly article, Dressed and Groomed for Success in Elementary School Student Appearance and Academic Adjustment is written by Caroline Fitzpatrick, Carolyn Cote Lussier, and Clancy Blair. This scholarly, peer reviewed article is about how instructor s negative perceptions, biases, and academic adjustments for their students can not only hinder student s potential in the classroom, but also their outlook on schools, specifically in elementary grades. The second scholarly article, Critical Race Theory and Whiteness of Teacher Educationis written by Christine E. Sleeter. This article is about how teacher education can be changed by addressing the Whiteness within it and how the targeted audience can be challenged. Due to the fact that the articles are different, then the purposes for these articles differ. The purpose of the first article is to see how theory and research suggest that students academic experiences are likely to be associated with their general appearance and demeanor (Fitpatrick et al. 32). The Effects Of Estrogen And Postmenopausal Women In this article, researchers wanted to assess the effects of estrogen and progesterone treatment on visual and verbal cognitive function in postmenopausal women. In the abstract, researchers identified estrogen, progesterone, and synthetic progestin as the hormones in question. However, researchers did not identify the ultimate reason why these hormones were important to women who experienced menopause. In fact, the researchers did not define postmenopausal women, the symptoms they experience, or the need for hormone treatment. It is selective and prolific not all information is stored by the brain even though the acquisition of data is continuous. The encoding process entails making associations with previously known facts, which contributes to the longevity of information. Once an event has been processed by the brain, it is then stored. This leads to Long Term Memory (LTM) and, consequently, a physical alteration of the brain. The structure of neurons is changed, and circuits, known as neural networks, are created or strengthened. Moreover, the production of proteins and the transfer of neurotransmitters to receptors through synapses, augments and solidifies circuits. With the repetition of such process through the continuous retrieval of memory, the synapse connections become more efficient and the memory is hardened. These steps contribute to the consolidation of memories which is essential to learning. The retention period is also invaluable to the formation of LTM and is a product of time and the occurrence of no overlaps. If similar pieces of information are processed by the brain, it is likely that one will interfere with the memorization of the other as the brain becomes distraught and is unable to store them. It is just to say that life has no favourites, and metes out punishment to anybody who commits mistakes. People eventually pay for their acts of sin. So, why is it that some people are able to make peace with their past mistakes and graciously welcome the life they have in front of them? The answer to this is redemption. Redemption is the second chance life gives us, to atone for our sins, mend our faults and change our story. Hopkins who wrote Globalization in World History tends to think we should. He defines archaic globalization as before to the industrious revolution and the creation of the modern state prior to 1500. For Hopkins, this time period planted the seeds of what would become the proto period. In proto globalization, from 1500 1800, arose the beginnings of the state and the dilation of the global economic system by increased efficiency in revenue exploitation and the revolution of military fiscalism. Lastly, modern globalization began to emerge in the mid 1800s to the mid 1900s. What defined this period separately from proto global periods was the ascent of the nationstate and the aggrandizement of industrialization. Based on the categories of globalization above, it is useful to look at the historical progression of globalization in the context provided by Hopkins. In order to do make this argument however, it will be important to examine how globalization started as the archaic then matured to the proto, and finally transformed in to the modern by looking at how the state evolved its method of legitimizing itself, and the refinement of consumption relationships and patterns. • 34. We Must Install Breathalyzers in Cars Essay Why do we need breathalyzers in our cars? Well, it could just save your life and the lives of others. In a drunk driving accident in Minneapolis, 20 year old Brody Sotona was killed instantly and his friend in the passenger seat Connor Macklin in critical condition from the drunk driver, Yia Her (Latest News). Installing a breathalyzer or an interlock system in all standard vehicles can help prevent accidents like this one from happening. A breathalyzer is a device used for determining the content of alcohol from a sample of one s breath. Robert Borkenstein invented it in 1954 while serving as an instructor in alcohol intoxication to find a different solution to practical problems associated with sampling blood for law enforcement... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are other ways to test for high alcohol levels, but a breathalyzer is a more convenient device used for estimating content of alcohol from a sample of one s breath. The Urban Insurance Agency indicates that while statistics are expected to increase, legislators are getting alarmed to mandate everybody s vehicle to be equipped with a breathalyzer (SRInstitute). Having them in everybody s vehicle can save lives and protect us from the dangers of other peoples foolishness by not letting others and ourselves get behind the wheel when intoxicated. Some people would be offended by having a breathalyzer in their car because they may not even drink at all. Even someone who does not drink still should have an interlock system in their car because if their friend or someone else drives the car at some point where they are intoxicated beyond the limits it could save their life and help prevent the risk of having an accident and harming others in the process. The typical interlock system has many safeguards to minimize cheating. An ignition interlock system combines a Breathalyzer with electronics to bypass the ignition in your car, and you must use it before starting your car. To get your car started you must first blow into the breathalyzer so it can tell if you re over .08 or not. If not then you are able to drive and you have two minutes to start your car. While driving to your destination it may ask you to blow into again as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Normative Context Of Advice In Goldsmith and Fitch s 1997 article The Normative Context of Advice as Social Support the dilemmas associated with giving, seeking, and taking advice are examined. The overarching goal of this study is to analyze what the normative actions of support, specifically advice, are. The research questions that were taken into consideration are as follows: what goals are pursued as people ask for, and give, advice; what identity and relational implications of advice shape givers and receivers reactions to advice; and what situational, conversational, and cultural constraints are relevant to participants evaluation of advice? (Goldsmith Fitch, 1997) Multiple dilemmas were found pertaining to advice including honesty versus support, caring vesrsus intrusive, and respect versus autonomy. Each of these qualities are present in every interaction in which advice is given, asked for, or received. As for the first pair of qualities, honesty and support, it manifests itself in the situation. How the advice is taken is dependent on the present circumstances, rather than on relational context. For example, if someone were to ask to be brutally honest, this does not constitute perpetual honesty; instead, it allows a temporary period during which being... • 36. The Traditional Family And Social Development Of The... A snapshot of the classic yet desired white family of the 1950 s: a pale skinned man with a pressed tie and shiny dress shoes, enjoys the pancakes and eggs his slender and sweet wife had prepared for him before work. The gentle figure leans to kiss her children who hustle to catch the school bus, a full lunch box in each hand and new toys for show and tell. However, this depiction of the traditional american familyhas been greatly modified. In her family history course, Stephanie Coontz asked her students to illustrate their own concept of a traditional or perfect family. Unsurprisingly, the predominating result was the stereotypical nuclear family, consisting of only father, mother, and children. This had once been culturally correct, but beginning in the mid 1900 s, the ideal American family has changed immensely with social development. Although the traditional family still exists in several households across the nation, the majority of families are far from the initial standards. A monumental change to the traditional American family came in 2015 when same sex marriage was legalized. This momentous step to ensure the acceptance and rights of ranging sexualities had not only enhanced the quality of life for same sex couples, but also transformed the iconic household. Now that gays all across the nation were granted their right to marry, it was no longer necessarily husband and wife but the classic couple could be wife and wife or husband and husband . This ... To begin, the principles of operant conditioning will get him started on his weight loss journey. In order for a successful program we need to use positive reinforcement, progress reports, and a schedule of reinforcement. A variable schedule is shown to cultivate more positive rates of response than a consistent schedule. Meanwhile the roommate will be partially reinforced. This partial reinforcement is shown to slow down the extinction rates of the desired behavior. Next, we will set the average time interval to be five days. For example, after the first day of the month when the roommate is initially weighed, we will weigh him seven days after the initial weigh in, and then 3 days after that. A team usually consists of three or more people who have a common goal or purpose. When working in a team, members have to decide what roles they will fill, plan their schedules for projects, and deal with upcoming team conflicts. Stewart, Sims Manz (1999) stated, For a team to succeed, team members need to effectively communicate with one another (p. 79). While each element of teamwork is important, effective communication is the cornerstone to team dynamics. One of the main elements of effective communication is open discussions. Once the team has achieved open communication the team members will be more willing to encourage each other, which will lead to more creativity and risk taking. This creativity will be achieved by trusting that the communication will be heard, discussed and tried if it will help the team reach its goals. Temme and Katzel (1995) wrote that risk taking plays a major role in the creative process. Trust and open communication will lead to brainstorming and sharing of ideas between the team members. Therefore, team members must try new things to see if the ideas presented will benefit the ultimate outcome and help achieve the final goal. Eventually every team will have a conflict. Since conflict is inevitable, effective communication is vital for the team success. The team needs to figure out what the conflict is, what needs to be done to get the team going again, what the options are and how they will solve the conflict in a way that is beneficial to the team (University of Phoenix, 2004). Without effective communication, this process of conflict resolution would fail. The team members would not be willing to share their point of view, teamwork would stall, and the conflict would escalate. Once a conflict escalates, the team will have a hard time coming back together and trusting each other to accomplish the set goals. Mandela never tolerated injustice; he believed that justice was the only path to success. For instance, when Mandela got to Robin Island where he was to be imprisoned, he was told to jog to the prison gate. He firmly refused and started a hunger strike with other inmates to condemn the condition they were living in. This worked out in their favor and the conditions improved (Hume). Optimal Transmission Expansion Planning Using Biogeography Based Optimization (BBO) Abstract Transmission expansion planning (TEP) is now a significant power system optimization problem. The TEP problem is a large scale, complex and nonlinear combinatorial problem of mixed integer nature where the number of candidate solutions to be evaluated increases exponentially with system size. The objective of the TEP is to determine the installation plans of new facilities, lines and other network equipments. The main goal of this paper centers on the application of Biogeography Based Optimization (BBO) for the transmission planning systems and it is one of mathematical methods (algorithms) to get the optimal planning. An accurate cost function for the transmission system is formulated where both fixed and variable costs for all planned facilities are includes, in addition to the cost energy losses. The cost function is then minimized, using (BBO) algorithms. We can be used to derive algorithms for optimization. We apply the BBO on the model of IEEE of 6 bus test system. However, we could notice that the goals of production division and marketing one don t meet this goal. Indeed, the goal of the production s division is to meet the quota while the objective of the marketing division is to forecast the sales unit and sales dollar (but if the production could not achieve to product these forecast the net income will not increase). Therefore, there is no real cohesion in the objectives. That is why, Grand Jean calls upon independent contractors. But, it increases the cost (of establishing a contract for instance) and furthermore, these contractors become a competitor of the Grand Jean plants although they have not the same bottom line responsibility (it s an advantage for them and in a very competitive market like the pants one it is a problem). The Management Control system of Grand Jean don t influence behavior in a goal congruent manner. • 54. Examples Of Ethos In The Declaration Of Independence Classical rhetoric considers that a speaker or writer has three appeals at his or her disposal: to ethos (the standing of the writer or speaker), to pathos (emotion), and to logos (reason), divided into deductive reasoning and inductive reasoning. (The Declaration) Jefferson s drafting of the Declaration of Independence is based on three types of argument ethos, pathos, logos which are modes of persuasion. They are also referred to as the three artistic proofs (Aristotlecoined the terms), and are all represented by Greek words. (Holliday) The principle of ethos is to prove to the audience/reader that the writer is a reasonable person and is therefore credible. The writers of the Declaration of Independence establish their ethical standing, that they are men of good sense, good character, and good will; first, by acknowledging that they need to explain to the world the reasons for their actions. (The Declaration) Jefferson does this very skillfully in the first line of the Declaration when he announces to the world that the Declaration is written out of respect for those who must judge the rightness or wrongness of the colonies decision to break with Great Britain: ...decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel ... • 55. Boeing D-340 Pointer Bell Boeing conceived the D 340 Pointer TiltRotor UAV in 1986 as part of the a Bell Helicopter Textron and Boeing Helicopter TiltRotor Teaming Agreement to develop a V/STOL short range surveillance and reconnaissance drone. Development of the D 340 proceeded throughout 1987. The Pointer made its first public appearance at Farnborough in September 1988 and flew for the first time (albeit poorly using Boeing flight controls) on November 21, 1988. But the partnership ended in September 1989 when Boeing dropped out of the program after only 12ВЅ hours of flight trials and 40 hours of wind tunnel testing. A friend of mine, Keith Cedras, controlled Bell s portion and was forced out of MBD in the first force reduction. I believed in the concept,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The design reduced overall length during transport and storage. The nose section mounted using hinges to permit easy access to the avionics and other mission equipment. The center section incorporated the wing box, fuel tanks engine and landing gear. Because of its dual, hover and conventional aircraft flight requirements, Burt designed a complex structural arrangement. The Allison C20 gas turbine engine, attached to a combining transmission was integrated into the center fuselage. Drive shafts from the combining transmission pass through the center of the wing and connect to transmissions (Bell 206 tail rotor gear boxes) in nacelles at each wing tip. The cantilevered wing box experienced very diverse structural loads during hover and conventional forward flight, and an additional challenge required the wing box wet fuel tank preserve the dry integrity of the transmission drive shaft conduits. The removal of the entire top part of the fuselage provided access to the engine and center gear box. The removable tail was attached using a lightweight screw row. The tail contained various antenna and actuators for the pitch control surfaces. Scaled Composites installed the hard points and mounts ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
