Stress In Workplace
COPING WITH STRESS IN THE WORKPLACE Linda Holland Blackwell
MGMT201 American Public University System Executive Summary Coping with
stress in the workplace can result in the same stress as stress from any other source
such as headaches, high blood pressure, indigestion, and other physical symptoms;
like irritability, anger, depression. Even if a person has a job and is making a
decent salary, there are still stress factors in the workplace that can add to daily
stressors. Some of the typical sources of stress in the workplace are work overload,
a lack of meaningfulness in work, lack of control in decision making, long hours,
and a lack of job security. Burnout is the most common stressor in the workplace.
This one of the most serious effects of the workplace. Burnout can cause extreme
dissatisfaction, pessimism, unhappiness on the job, and a desire to quit. Burnout
stress can cause emotionally exhaustion. A great deal of stress comes from dealing
with other people and social interactions. Stress is also affected by status and
choosing to adapt. This paper will explore what stress is and the factors that can
intensify the effects of stress in the workplace. Stress in today s workplace is
growing faster due to individuals dealing with constant work related demands. Most
workers that take on constant demands in the workplace also deal with conflict that
can even throw off their work life balance, such as poor career development and the

A Piece of History to Young Readers, The Treaty of...
Griswold Del Castillo, Richard. The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo: A Legacy of
Conflict. Norman: University of Oklahoma Press, 1990.
Richard Griswold del Castillo was born on October 26, 1942 in Los Angeles,
California. His parents are Mr. Stanley and Mrs. Marie who made him who he is
now. He is married to Maryann Girard and has two sons, who are named Charles
and Ariel. Castillo also went to the University of California and a couple other
universities besides California. He was a professor and instructor in many
universities. His writings have also been translated into Spanish for other people to
read as well. He has always loved traveling across the southwest area such as Arizona,
New Mexico, and other cities in Mexico. He once said, he was committed to
quantitative history in conjunction with other sources. Castillo was a piece of history
to the younger readers and listeners now in California. Not only that, he also thought
that family writings meant a lot especially in the southwest region.
The purpose of this book is to explain how the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was an
important document between the two dominant countries. This famous book shows
us how the treaty was read by courts also how much this means to the US. Almost
taking one half of Mexico s vast territory. This made the US and Mexico not like
each other through what had happened between them in the war. This book was made
so we could understand more fluently the events and historical people
Character Analysis Of Gandalf The White
Gandalf the White His hair was white as snow in the sunshine; and gleaming white
was his robe; the eyes under his deep brows were bright, piercing as the rays of the
sun; (The Two Towers page 98). Gandalf the White was a wizard who guided and
helped characters throughout their journeys in The Two Towers book. however
Gandalfthe Grey was thought to of died in the battle with Balrog, a monster of
ancient times, however Gandalf is immortal and cannot die instead he was reborn
into Gandalf the White. Gandalf physically transformed into Gandalf the White after
fighting Balrog. While changing physically he also became wiser after being reborn

of hope and good for all men in Middle Earth.
Gandalf the Grey in The Fellowship of the Ring, was killed in the battle with Balrog

The Future of Spaceflight and Why It Should Be Private
Essay
High above our beloved watery globe, on the shore of the cosmic ocean, a winged
spacecraft approaches a gigantesque space station pirouetting in the vast dark. The
pilots of this vessel make use of flat screen computer displays to match their rotation
with that of the massive orbital outpost. As the shuttle spins, a logo of the world s
largest airline, emblazoned on its side, comes into view.
This is not the present, but it was to be the past. A scene from Stanley Kubrick s
1968 science fiction epic, 2001 A Space Odyssey, it was lauded at the time for its
realistic portrayal of a human future in space (*1). Now, ten years after this future
failed to manifest, spaceflight is still a privilege reserved only for the most powerful

The Obama Administration s policy of support for the COTS program and apparent
lack of support for NASA led manned exploration has aggravated many. Criticism
includes a bemoaning of the transformation of America s once proud NASA into a
shell of an organization with no git r done capability of its own.
The continued launching of spacecraft by NASA and other national space
organizations however, as this essay intends to demonstrate, is an antiquity that is
nearing the end of its usefulness. The appropriation of space launch capabilities by
the private industry is fundamental to increased accessibility to space; furthermore,
it is essential for the long term health of the scientific pursuits to which NASA is
dedicated. The national space programs of Earth have, so far, failed to provide a
reasonable alternative to the obscene costs incurred through the crude launching of
payloads into orbit atop massive and failure prone chemical rockets. While no
alternative to the use of chemical rocketry has yet been proven, one for reducing its
price is just getting off the ground. The increasing privatization of the launch industry
has already seen dramatic reductions in the cost of lifting a satellite from the surface
of the Earth to LEO.
One private organization, SpaceX, has seen enormous success in this area. The

Republican Dominance In Texas
The state of Texas is a major battle ground state for national politics when it comes
to the presidential elections. Winning votes in Texas can be huge for the political
campaign of a certain party. Unfortunately; as of now, Texas is mostly known as a
republican majority state. It is widely accepted that as a republican candidate, you
are very likely to win the state s vote. The republican dominance of Texashas spanned
for many years; however, this was not the case in the late 19th century to late 20th
century. Events during that time period, such as the civil war, reconstruction, and the
great depression, caused voting patterns and demographics to shift towards the
Democratic Party. During the mid 1800 s, the democratic and republican... Show

Increasing involvement of the minority in Texas shows that Republican support is
slowly diminishing away. Like how the Democrats lost control of Texas, it seems
that the Republicans are heading down the same road. Compared to the decline of
the Democrats in the 1970 s, Republicans seem to be shifting away from the values
of the majority. They, like the Democrats near the end of the 20th century, are
starting to become a party without a message. Their views are slowly becoming
meaningless in the eyes of the majority. If Republicans are to maintain their
dominance in Texas, they must start addressing issues that not only pertain to white
(Anglos) voters, but to African American and Hispanic voters as well. Texas has
become a majority minority state. It has drastically diversified since the end of the
20th century and with that diversification comes different viewpoints on state (and
even national) issues. Issues that commonly reside with minorities, such as abortion,
health care, and immigration, are being ignored or not confronted enough to where
minority support for the republican agendas are fading away. Eventually, Democrats
will begin to leech off the mistakes Republicans are currently committing. They will
start to address more progressively acts of liberalism and reform that appeals to
minority voters while also attacking issues that reside within the white Anglo
community. Simply put, Democrats will become competitive in Texas once they
give Hispanic and African Americans a reason to vote and be active in Texas
politics. Over time, the Democratic Party will once again re emerge as a competitive
force in the political
Homicide By Martin Daly And Margo Wilson
The Origins of Human Sexuality
In their book Homicide, Martin Daly and Margo Wilson put forth a theory that
challenges human societies common notion of human sexuality. They do this in an
attempt to bring about a better understanding of homicide and male aggressiveness.
According to Daly and Wilson, males instigate the overwhelming majority of
dangerous altercations and they contend that this is due to status competition. Status
competition is the idea that males must aggressively compete for sexual access to
females in order to pass on their genes.
Daily and Wilson cite the work of Charles Darwin, who in 1859 published a famous
work on the theory of natural selection. The concepts presented in his book were later
elaborated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This competition, according to the theory, makes the winners win bigger, and the
losers #8230;more likely to be total losers.
In their discussion of parental investment Daly and Wilson specify three different
types of division. Larger females and smaller males characterize the first category
called polyandry. In polyandrous species we see males making the larger parental
investment, females being more combative, and males tending to out live their female
counterparts. The second category is known as a monogamous breeding system. In
this system the male and female parental investments are identical, the number of
offspring each sex can have is identical and the fitness variances are equal. In
monogamous species the male and female tend to be indistinguishable in that they
are often the same size and carry the same markings. Monogamous species also have
nearly the life expectancy. The final category is known as polygamy. Polygamy is a
system in which the female makes the biggest parental investment. In polygamous
species the male is often larger and more combative than the female and tends to live
a shorter life. According to Daly and Wilson humans best fit into this last group.
According to Daly and Wilson humans are the products of a mild but sustained
polygynous competition.

My Time At The Law Firm
My time at the law firm was full of ups and downs a lot like any other job may
offer. Throughout the internship as the semester was ending I began to see a
difference in the way I was treated by the workers and I began to notice a difference
in the attitudes of my co workers. Maybe it was just because the end of the year
was coming and stress from outside the work area was entering the office. Anyhow
the drama created by the stress levels of the co workers personal and work life
created many flaws within the office that I feel need to be addressed. The office is
full of problems but financing is not one of those problems. The agency holds 8
civil law attorneys who pay the business half of all their attorney fees, which can
accumulate a lot over a calendar year. This allows the agency to keep up to date
technology in every office. Since money is not a problem with the firm the main
problems faced are the internal issues of the employees. One of the problems we
have is the drama and ill mannered attitudes that is shown towards other employees.
For not being employed very long at the firm I have seen and heard some disturbing
rumors about people that I work with. I do not feel that this rumor spreading is
professional and it should not happen in this agency. However the drama will not
stop due to the clique like work force the agency has. Another well known problem
that the employees have to live with is the insurance rate being outrageously too
expensive for sometimes even
Analysis Of Mean Girls
Teen girl films are Janus like in nature, being aimed at teen girls themselves, but
also at opening up the world of teen girls to their parents and society at large. The
marketing for Mark Water s 2004 film Mean Girls reflects this divided focus, using
a two pronged approach to attempt to attract the largest range of paying customers.
On an aesthetic level, from the appearance of the promotional website to the music
used in the trailers, the film tries is aimed at teenage girls. However, on a less
superficial level, the high brow humor used in the promotional videos and the
written content of the website, is aimed at adults. Mean Girls is praised for
success in spite of genre, and the praise is focused it s satire and humor. This is
indicative of a larger trend in views on teen girl films. A real teen girl s life may
revolve around passing midterms or trying to fit in at school, but a film about
those struggles must views those struggles with humor. The personal drama in the
lives of teenage girls isn t taken seriously by this film or it s marketing, and critics
and studios don t think it should be. At first glance, the theatrical trailer for Mean
Girls fulfills all clichГ©s the high school or teen girl genre. Our protagonist, Cady,
is the new girl school, who s been homeschool her entire life. Her new nerdy friends
explain all the cliques of the school to her, including an introduction to each member
of the most popular group. It even sets up the stereotypical main

Alan Turing Psychology
Psychology Throughout The Imitation Game Ostracism is very dangerous to a
person s health and can cause detrimental damage to themselves. Throughout the
movie The Imitation Game Alan Turing has been ostracized all of his life from in
school to even as an adult. Since he was much brighter than his peers in school and
enjoyed subjects like cryptography they considered him to be different from them
and did not acknowledge him except for Christopher Morcom who became his only
friend and first love. As an adult at work Turing was still ostracized because since he
was so used to being alone he didn t know how to properly socialize with people or
how to work in a group like he was supposed to working for Bletchley trying to solve
the Enigma coding... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being excluded or ignored by a group of people can be harmful to a person. It can
make someone feel that they are alone; that they do not have anyone to care for
them or to lean on it times of need. Being ostracized can make someone believe that
they do not belong or that no one cares about them, which can lead to low self
esteem and depression causing one to often question taking their own life.
Ostracism can cause one to go to extreme measures to gain attention such as;
bullying, becoming violent, self harm, homicidal, or suicidal. Everyone strives for
attention and is a basic need for living. People need to feel that they are loved and
that they belong. People are often ostracized for being different and not fitting in
with the crowd; however, instead of praised for being unique and different they are
excluded to feel worthless. This forces people to believe that they ought to conform
to society s standard in order to fit in and gain worth. People can be ostracized for
their religion, sexual orientation, sexuality, personality, brains, social class, and even
how they look. Like Alan Turing, many people are faced with ostracism because they
are different forcing them to feel like they have no option but to commit
Solving Poverty In The United States
Solving Poverty Poverty is a major issue in the US today, and sadly identity
influences the cycle of poverty and how it is passed down through families. To
reduce, or put a stop to poverty, equal resource and opportunities should be provided.
Help with education, finding a job, or fair government programs should also be
provided to those who need it. One reason resources and opportunities are unequal is
because povertyis a continuous cycle. In Sachs essay, he states that parents who
lived in poverty often passed down their unhealthy ways to their children (690).
However, Parker goes on to explain how she and her children are malnourished and
the health issues they face, such as anemia and worms (116). These health issues

The question Why is taxing the rich so hard? has been brought up by several
people including Alyssa Battastoni. She goes on to argue that the rich have a
strong influence over politicians (Battastoni 719). Taxing the rich could be
beneficial to solving poverty, but since they are a big part of campaigning taxing
them is not an option. However, the government can be helpful at times, but they
are often unjust. They do provide workfare and welfare programs to those who
need it, but they are not treated like normal workers and they must follow specific
guide lines. They do not get to choose the hours they work, how much they are paid,
or what their wages go toward (Arnold 344). The programs need to be revised, so
the poor will benefit from them and can better
Cisco Case Study Essay
CASE QUESTIONS В– CISCO 1a. How did Cisco find itself in trouble with regard
to its intended IT prior to Brad Boston s arrival? Prior to his arrival, CISCO had a
decentralized approach to IT spending. Independent business groups were making
decisions in fuctional silos. Each group their own funds for IT, therefore,
redundant applications such as CRM systems were created. This was a global issue
as well as a localized issue. The Cisco philosophy regarding IT was simple: As long
as someone was willing to pay for it, the IT department would work on whatever
process/project specified. This is not only a waste of money, but it also creates
problems when trying to work across teams. If two teams use two different processes

In 1993, when Peter Solvik took over as CIO of Cisco, he reallocated the IT budget
to each individual department. He also took the power away from an IT steering
committee and gave it to departments. This gave each department the ability to
function independent of each other. There was no need for them to communicate
with other departments in order to achieve similar objectives and goals. 2a. What
is BPOC s role? The BPOC s role is to get together biweekly to review and prioritize
key initiatives that impact the company as a whole. BPOC would categorize each
initiative and then make recommendations for the different projects. b. How much
formal authority does it have? While they demonstrated no formal authority; the
recommendations carried a great deal of weight. These are senior executives and
they do have a vast knowledge of what is needed for the company to continue to be

any initiatives, it merely has strong influence and promotes its recommendations. 3a.
Would you approve the call center project, including the rationale for your

During the 1800 s Great Britain s empire stretched around the world, and with raw
materials easily available to them this way, they inevitably began refining and
manufacturing all stages of many new machines and other goods, distributing locally
and globally. However, despite being the central workshop of the world, Britain was
not producing the highest quality of merchandise. When comparing factory made
products made in England to surrounding countries, most notably France, those
products could not compare as far as craftsmanship and sometimes, simply
innovation. It was suggested by Prince Albert that England host a sort of free for all

However, there were many that were opposed to the plan. In general, foreign imports
coming in such great quantities could undermine British industry. More specifically,
the site itself was questioned. Though the park offered enough space, the British
were very protective of their parks The Parks committee thought that the fair would
lower property values of the highest portion of town, as well as permanently
disfigure the natural area . (1) Amongst the criticisms, the committee still had to
plan a structure to hold the event. The idea was to incorporate a building that could
be easily be built and taken down both constructively and economically. Most ideas
involved a long, one story building made of brick. The problem was that it looked
far too solid difficult to remove later and it might be even harder to light not to
mention that it probably could not be built in time. Further debates and redrafting
delayed the project even further. (1)
Joseph Paxton, a prominent garden architect, working in conjunction with engineers
Fox and Henderson Paxton submitted their idea. Although their design was entered
late it was almost instantly adopted. It was so cost effective; the fair s planning
committee had to accept his proposal. The overall design resembled a greenhouse, as
he had grown

many attributes of women throughout the poem. Many think that a slim and trim

How Is Propaganda Used In North Korea
Movies have become a powerful form of media used to sway a large audience. Not
only is a story told to the viewer, but an overall message is also portrayed through
film as well. So it is no wonder that in North Korea, the usage of movies to create
propaganda films in order to project a certain view of their country towards their
people. The strengthened usage of filmas propaganda could be see after Kim Jong Il

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Air In

Not everyone understands that there are many advantages to private jet travel
especially the convenience and efficiency. You don t have to fly out of crowded
airports and you don t have to sit on flights that are cramped and full of people.
Beside private flights leave from smaller airports so they are usually closer to your
home and you can get there without having to fight the traffic to the main airport.
Now people who choose to fly by private jet depart from a small facility which lets
them avoid the chaos of a commercial terminal. Instead of parking in an adjoining
lot and having to take a shuttle to your aircraft you park in a free lot, right close by
and your car will be secure 24/7. Your always with all of your belongings on a

Examples Of Fidelity In Clueless
The idea of fidelity can limit our understanding of adaptation in many ways. This
idea is shown throughout Clueless, a 1990 s adaptation of the novel Emma.
Firstly, the theory of fidelity is that, in order to be successful, adaptations should
religiously follow their source text and keep every aspect of the text identical. The
notion in itself is incredibly flawed, as there are many different ways to adapt a
source text and still retain its significance. Also, it supports the claim that an
adaptation is inherently a loss, which is harmful and problematic. It also raises the
idea that fidelity is not even attainable when creating an adaptation as every form of
media is an adaptation in some form and it becomes harder and harder to think in
The Sublime In The Good Soldiers
The sublime
Like the Just war theory, the sublime has been an important term in literary criticism
and theory. It was first described by the Greek rhetorician known as Longinus in the
text On Sublimity, which is seen as one of the most influential classical works in the
tradition of European criticism (Norton anthology of theory criticism 133). He
defines the sublime as something that contains much food for reflection, is difficult
or rather impossible to resist, and makes a strong and ineffaceable impression on the
memory (?). He claims that there are five source of the sublime. First is the power to
conceive great thoughts , second is strong and inspired emotion , thirdly [c]ertain

Pros And Cons Of The Treaty Of Versailles
There really were only three debates surrounding the Treaty of Versailles. The first
would be among the Europeans who disagreed with the terms of the treaty because
it opposed their tradition of imperialism, or at least, President Wilson s Fourteen
Points (Foner 762). There also was conflict between the Allies who argued over who
claimed what and Germany s punishment in their belief that Germany was
responsible for the start of the World War. The wording of President Wilson s
Fourteen pointsdid not convince the Europeans which lead to the French and British
empires, for example, to reject any colony under their rule pleading for self
determination as President Wilson stated (Foner 764). The second debate would be
those among Eastern Europe... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Treaty of Versaillesincluded the creation of the League of Nations where
countries and nations would come together to solve international issues through
peaceful means. Many politicians wanted to stay out of international affairs and
focus on the US s own issues which would ensure the country it s freedom of
action (Foner 765). Do to health reasons, Wilson could not effectively defend his
position and the Senate ultimately rejected the Treaty of Versailles on March
1920 (Foner 766). As Foner states in the textbook, Wilson s plan to ensure a safe
place for democracy failed (766). While it did encourage several groups of people
to stand up against their foreign leaders, President Wilson s failure to implement his
views reflected badly amongst others. For example, anti Western nationalism rose in
the Middle East and Asia and other nations began to support other forms of politics
such as Communism, especially among the Asian countries (Foner 765).
Consequences of the Treaty of Versailles include future conflict between Germany
and other European countries as well as conflicting political views as each try to be

The Affordable Care Act, Medicaid Expansion, and the Effect on Advanced Practice
Nursing In 2010, the President of the United States signed the Patient Protection
and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) into law (Luther Hart, 2014). As written, the
PPACA will be the most extensive change in the financing and provision of
healthcare in 50 years (Luther Hart, 2014). The stated purposes of the legislation are
to decrease the number of medically uninsured people as well as decrease the cost of
insurance and healthcare for those already insured (Shi Singh, 2015). Medicaid
expansion is significant element of the PPACA and is designed to provide health
insuranceto the lower income population (Vincent Reed, 2014). The purpose of this

The PPACA was structured to accomplish insurance reform through several avenues
(Vincent Reed, 2014). Medicaid program expansion and the individual mandate are
two of the primary elements of healthcare insurance and finance reform (Vincent
Reed, 2014). Additionally preventative health services delivered without cost,
removal of health insurance exclusions for preexisting conditions, allowing children
under the age of 26 to remain on their parent s healthcare insurance, and gradually
decreasing the out of pocket costs for Medicare Part D participants are mandated by
the provisions of the PPACA (Vincent Reed, 2014).
Medicaid Expansion Expansion of the Medicaid program is an important part of
the PPACA (Vincent Reed, 2014). To decrease the number of Americans without
health insurance coverage, the Medicaid expansion is designed to provide
coverage for individuals with incomes of up to 138% of the federal poverty level
(FPL). Individuals with incomes of 100% to 400% of the FPL, who did not
qualify for Medicaid, would be eligible for subsidies in the Insurance Marketplaces
mandated by the passage of the PPACA (Sommers, 2015) . In the states that do not
expand Medicaid, Sommers (2015) notes that individuals who do not qualify for
Medicaid and have incomes below the criteria to receive insurance subsidies in the
healthcare marketplace will remain uninsured. The Medicaid program is jointly

Don t Underestimate North Korea s Nuclear Arsenal
The article, Don t Underestimate North Korea s Nuclear Arsenal, was featured in
The Wall Street Journal, a center right publication, on 2/27/2017. R. James
Woolsey, is a democrat government official who served as the Director of the
CIA, and was once a senior advisor for President Trump (Rucker, 2017). Peter Pry
is a co author to the piece. Pry served in the CIA, and is the chief of staff of the
Congressional EMP Commission. (Woolsey Pry, 2017) Evaluating the piece with
the critical eye does not yield great results. Among the many elements of the critical
eye that raise red flags, accuracy is the weakest. The article begins with the title Don

For one, North Korea first must miniaturize it. They have not done this. Second, the
missile would have to fly and be dependable. When the North Korean s launched the
latest missile, and this is true for many others, they did so at an angle and depth to
ensure that it would land in the water before it hit Japan. If they had been more
confident in their own missiles, they would have launched closer to the surface, and
at an angle that would allowed it to travel a distance of over 310 miles. Since it
traveled 310 miles with the high arc, it is probable that the latest test could have
flown closer to the 700 800 miles that has been estimated. The second page is where
the significant inaccuracies begin. The first paragraph on the second page states that
the first atomic bomb, which used enriched uranium, was never tested: Hiroshima
was the test. The second one, which used plutonium, was tested once and worked
perfectly at Trinity and on Nagasaki. (Woolsey Pry, 2017) Hiroshima was not the
first instance of the United States detonating an atomic bomb, Trinity was. Trinity
occurred on July 16th, 1945, and the bombing of Hiroshima occurred on August 6th,
1945. Trinity was also uranium 235, not plutonium. (Taylor, 2015) The authors also
mentioned that France s first nuclear test was a success. The first nuclear test
conducted by France exploded with a force of 70kilotons. The bomb that dropped on
Nagasaki was only 20kilotons. In that comparison, it could be
Tokyo Story 360 Degree
Tokyo Story s 360 degree In David Desser s Ozu s Tokyo Story he mentions that
casual viewers fail to notice Ozu s scenic construction and segmenting of screen
space (12). Ozu Yasujiro s use of the 360 degree space within the film Tokyo Story
(1953) may seem like a mismatched action. The 180 degree line is a rule where the
camera is position at an eye line perspective. It causes the action within a film to
continuously stay on one side of the axis line. Through the editing of 180 degrees, the
audience has a connection to the film that makes them feel as if they were not
watching a film, but rather, watching the action in person. Ozu, like many other
Japanese filmmakers, was influenced by Japanese culture, especially architecture
(17). Desser states the first timewe see the Hirayamas in the film, they are seated
next to each other, each facing right. Yet by the time the sequence ends we
suddenly notice that now they are facing left (13). Near the end of the segment

Tomi is on the left side of the screen and ShЕ«kichi is on the right. The film cuts
and shows Noriko entering the room, cut, then Tomi is on screen right and
ShЕ«kichi is on screen left in a long shot. Desser clarifies characters who converse

Application And Specification Of A Computer Network
On December 6, 1967, the Department of Defense awarded a contract with the
purpose of the design and specification of a computer network . Four months later,
the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPANET) was created. By October 15,
1969, computers at the University of California Los Angeles and Stanford were
connected and communicating (InternetHistory from ARAPNET to Broadband, 2007)
. Thus was the birth of the internet. Now, the internet is an indispensable tool that
provides us with an active connection to everyone and nearly everything. However,
we ve evolved the internet and moved forward to the internet of things (IoT). The IoT
is connecting man to machine, machine to machine, and machine to man all through

Also of note are the new wearable devices. Today, instead of pulling out our wallet
to pay for groceries, we can simply scan our Apple Watch in front of an Apple Pay
terminal and have the funds immediately deducted from our account. When
arriving at the airport, your connected device can sense your current location and
immediately let your bank know you are preparing for a trip. As you drive, your
connected vehicle can download real time traffic and make suggested route
changes before you get stuck in traffic. More importantly, many modern vehicles
are equipped with sensors that can detect a collision and immediately dispatch help.
The connected world has far exceeded our expectations. One area of concern that
revolves around the IoT is cyber security. Throughout the 2016 presidential
primaries, cyber security has become an increasingly hot topic. During the January
17th, 2016 Democratic Primary Debate, cyber security was discussed no less than
six times (Leatherby, 2016). As the IoT continues to expand, hackers have expanded
their attacks as well. In July of 2015, hackers were able to remotely take control of
the systems onboard a Jeep Cherokee and completely disable the vehicle (Kerner,
2015). Unfortunately, this is not an isolated event. Both the FBI and National

Icelandic Saga Argumentative Essay
I believe that one of the most prominent aspects of Icelandic Saga s is the very
unique feuds and resolutions that are found in our readings. The social issues
found in these sagas are constructs of many different influences upon society during
the viking ages making distinctive culturally unique plots. Despite having a very
warrior like history and a culture which praised characteristics which were violent,
we see the progression of Icelanders as we begin to notice more problems solved
without violence. Through the inspection of these feuds solved by peace are we
able to obtain a better grasp of what went into the creation and order of icelandic
society and stories. In this essay I will provide an examination of the resolution of

This appreciation for intelligence is also reflected back towards seeking
alternatives to violence. Previous Viking culture appreciated the warrior and
voyager who embarked on dangerous raids. While some of that still held true,
there was certainly a transition to dueling without swords, but rather words. The
importance of poetry is highlighted many times in the Sagas. In the Saga of the
Confederates we see Ofeig skillfully use his verses to get the attention of powerful
men like Egil and Gellir when they would have otherwise not wanted to talk. Ofeig
crafts this verse on the spot to get Egil to converse with him, You won t refuse to
confer wit me, because worthy men call you wise , elegantly playing on the idea
that he, simply an old man, just wishes to speak to a wise man. Obviously, this is no
longer a Viking age where threatening people into alliance works, but rather superior
intellect promotes a feeling of trust and
The Isotope Of A Isotope Analysis
The scholarly article that I have chosen that depicts an isotope analysis is based on the
stable isotope Carbon, found in nectar beverages. The main method measures the
carbon of C3
photosynthetic cycle in commercial apple flavored nectars, which then has the
determination
of the exact legal limit to identify the beverages that do not conform to safety
standards that
were previously set by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food
Supply. The
term adulteration is used in the article. Adulteration is essentially the contamination
that is in
foods and beverages and the challenges that the industries face is a wide issue known
today.
According to (RICARDO; FILHO; GASTONI; CARLOS, 2013), To identify such
adulteration, the
isotope analysis is the most sophisticated and specific technique used in the food and
beverages area. Stable isotope techniques have been used by official institutions in the
quality
control of beverages as an instrument of tax assessment for fraudulent products. This
goes
back to show how sophisticated the methods are with respect to quality control in the
beverage environment.
The methodology for the determination of the carbon isotope ratio (13C/12C) is
based on
a mixture of compounds produced from plants of the C3 photosynthetic cycle (apple,
grape, orange, etc.) and C4 (sugarcane, corn, etc.). The C3 vegetables have relative
isotope enrichment (δ13C) from 22.00 to 34.00 per mil (‰). In C4 vegetables, the

Mosquitoes In Delaware
Mosquitoes are a big problem in Delaware, these critters can be very vicious they
move in silence and are painless when they bite. When these blood sucking critters
latch on, it s a possibility that they can let off the common virus they give people
called the West Nile Virus (WNV). The population of mosquitos is outrageous
because they multiply by the minute. Mosquitocontrol is a serious problem in
Delaware, because the environment here attracts them in droves, they spread
diseases, and are an overall nuisance.
The spray notification system is making Delawareans aware of mosquito control
precautions and how to avoid them. Anytime there are heavy rainfalls accompanied
by oppressive humidity, mosquitos come around. They love the marshy and wet type
of area. You can prevent mosquitoes from coming inside the house by having a screen
door that shuts tightly and you can also reduce the numbers of mosquitos on you by

Research Paper On Guy Fawkes
Guy Fawkes
Guy Fawkes is one of England s most famous criminals; the man most closely
associated with the group of English Catholics who planned the failed Gunpowder
Plot of November 5th 1605. Even though Fawkes wasn t the leader of the conspiracy,
he was given the important task of lightening the fuse to the gunpowder.
Guy Guido Fawkes was born in April 1570 in Stonegate in York, England. Fawkes
grew up in York with his parents Edith and Edward Fawkes, and his three siblings.
However, Fawkes father died in 1578, and a couple of years later, his mother
married the recusant Catholic Denis Bainbridge. Living with Bainbridge and
attending St. Peter s School in York at the same time is most likely the main reasons
why Guy Fawkes decided to convert ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to catch the plotters, Cecil decided not to invade the cellar until the very last
minute, expecting some of the plotters to be in position only then.
Guy Fawkes even tried to light the fuse when he saw the soldiers coming, but he got
overpowered. Fawkes was taken directly to the Tower of London and was tortured
until he confessed the crime and gave up the names of the rest of the group.
Guy Fawkes was sentenced to the traditional traitors death; to be hanged, drawn
and quartered . However, on January 31st 1606, Fawkes jumped from the gallows
and broke his own neck. This way, he wasn t alive when his stomach was cut open
and his guts spilled before his eyes. The remains of him was chopped up and sent to
the four corners of the kingdom as a warning to the people.
Today, the failed Gunpowder Plot is celebrated as Bonfire night all over Britain,
with fireworks and big fires. This tradition first started when the people of London
lit fires to celebrate the safety of the King. It is also common to burn effigies of Guy
Fawkes on the bonfire, which makes some wonder whether the Brits are celebrating
Fawkes execution or honoring his attempt to do away with the
The Assessment Of A Community s Decision For Real
Initiative
According to Monmonier (1996), those who do have Internet and GIS
accessibility face the potential to be placed in a vulnerable position. He believes
that the public who is armed with a GIS but lacking the savvy to use the system
appropriately becomes vulnerable to sarcastic attacks from site advocates .
Meaning, that a community s opinion may not be taken seriously or may be
misrepresented in the eyes of policymakers because the people in that community
may not be using the GIS software correctly, therefore they do not comprehend the
data that is being presented to them in a GIS platform. This connects to another
complication, that the general public may not have the basic training requirements
needed to properly understand GIS software. Referring back to Carver, et al (2001),
one of the issues they encountered during the observation of the Neighbourhood
Initiatives Foundation s Planning for Real initiative was a general lack of familiarity
with GIS software, especially from older age groups of manual trade.
The solution to these issues cannot be resolved in a short period of time as these are
mainly socio economic complications, however, attainable solutions are present. As
far as GIS comprehensive, this will become less of an issue as more people become
familiar with using computers and maps through work and education (Carver et al,
2001). As mentioned earlier in Baker s (2005) article, strides are being made to
teach K 12 students Web GIS, for digital learning

Essay about The Truth of Thanksgiving
The Truth of Thanksgiving While children are growing up in America, they are told
several tales of America s establishment and history. However, these stories are
generally not told as they actually happened. An instance of this is the story of the
Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is explained as this elaborate
ceremony where the Pilgrims and Indians gathered in harmony at this large harvest in
celebration of their coming together. According to the primary document of William
Bradford s journal, Thanksgiving didn t pan out quite as it is explained to Americans
today. In the film, The Addams Family Values, the Addams children take part in a

The performance chosen was a reenactment of the first Thanksgiving. The cool
kids were cast as the Pilgrims, while Wednesday and her friends were cast as the
Native Americans. Wednesday is actually cast in the lead role of Pocahontas. In
the beginning of the dinner performance, the Pilgrims give a speech regarding the
Native Americans as savages and explain how they should become Pilgrims. In the
end, the Native Americans do not enjoy a pleasant meal with the Pilgrims. Instead,
they revolt, burning down the Pilgrims homes and torturing their families. Many
aspects of this film are worthy of analysis. The dual depiction of the Addams
family is worthy of noting. The Addams family is portrayed as savages. They are
shown as living very differently from the typical American family. They reside in a
Gothic like castle, bury their pets alive, eat squirrel, etc. Interestingly, the family is
actually from Europe, specifically France. The Addams family takes on a dual role
of Native Americans (their savage description) and Europeans (their European
background). When they send Wednesday and Pugsley to Camp Chippewa, it is
actually considered to be the camp for American s privileged children (Addams
Family Values). This is a Native American based camp, yet the early Native
Americans were not in anyway considered privileged by the Europeans due to their
primitive way of living. When all the children take part in the typical Indian activities,

to settle a debate between Arius, a Libyan Priest and founder of the belief of
Subordinationism, the belief that Jesus is not of the same divinity as God the
Father, and Pope Alexander of Alexandria, discussing if God the Father and Jesus
the Son were of the same divinity, which was a very divided argument at the time.
The creed also states that ... [Christians] believe in the Holy Spirit... He proceeds
from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and
glorified. This also proclaims belief in the Holy Spirit and His divinity. In
Christianity, the belief of the Holy Trinity is made up of the Father, Son, and the
Holy Spirit, and the creed details on how these three figures are of the same essence
and divinity, and they add up to one Holy God. The Holy Trinity is accepted in many

Technology And The Implementation Of Information
Systems
Introduction
In the early 2000s, the use of technology and the implementation of information
systems was steadily increasing. Many at times, numerous emerging technologies,
existing technologies and management information systems were implemented and
are still being implemented to solve modern day problems. However, there are still
major flaws that such systems can create and only prove to have disadvantages that
derive from the original unsolved problem. Some of these problems resulted from
solutions that are unique and innovative. Just within the past decade, information
system analysts and researchers have been and are still working on the design and
utilization of information technology in the right manner with the user and
organization in mind. Debatably, there are various IT artifacts that are essentially
analyzed such as why the information system (IS) was built in the first place, how it
is to be used and what the final impact of the system is.
The IT artifacts will uncover the instantiation of a Human Resources Information
System (HRIS). Exposing conversations, surveys and user resistance and behaviors
will reveal what is the true cause behind this flawed instantiation. The system named
Ultipro developed by Ultimate software. It is a HRIS system that has lots of bells
and whistles. An out of the box software that needs to be setup specific to the client
and organization that is purchasing its software. This cloud based software that was
developed is being
What Is The Arsenal Essay
Arsenal was founded in 1866 by factory workers of The royal Arsenal. These
factory workers first started the club for something in their spare time but later on
became bigger. the club was first called: Dial Square and later changed its name to
Royal Arsenal. They first played in the lower leagues of English football but in
1893 got promoted to the: Football League where it changed the name to
Woolwich Arsenal. They later started calling themselves The Gunners. This name
was really easy to choose because all the people that worked for the club where
also factory workers of the weapon factory: The Royal Arsenal. The club started
playing really well so they became one of the best in England. They were able to
pay a new Stadium in Highbury so they got rid of the word Woolwich in their name.
When the club was at Highbury they won a lot of trophies and became one of
Europe s best. With the great players like Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick
Viera and Saul Campbell they reached the Champions league final after a staggering
season with zero losses. Unfortunately the lost the final in the last few minutes. After
the final the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The stadium wasn t really a stadium it was just a grass field. In 1913 they moved to
Highbury, Also known as Arsenal stadium. They played in Highbury until May
2006. It was designed by the renowned football architect Archibald Leitch, and had
a design common to a lot of other grounds in the UK. It could fit 60,000 people.
From 1998 to 2000 they needed to expand for the champions league because the
UEFA wants that you have place for 70,000 people. After all these years at
Highbury it was time to move on to the emirates stadium. It was called the Emirates
stadium because Emirates was arsenal s main sponsor. Later on they signed a
contract that made them main sponsor till 2028. The Emirates stadium is just a few
blocks away from
Swine Pathogens
North Carolina is the country s second largest hog producer housing over 10
million swine (Edwards and Ladd, 2000). Due to the density of swine in such a
small region, 15.5 million tons of manure is produced on a yearly basis. This manure
is stored in lagoon pits that are man made for this purpose. 1 Once stored in these
lagoons, the manure is then sprayed onto fields for disposal; these fields contain
agricultural crops or turf (USGAO, 2008). Since the ground is permeable, runoff and
percolation occur in these fields and in the lagoons, as they are only lined with clay.
The waste in these lagoon pits contain insecticides, antimicrobial agents, pathogens,
pharmaceuticals, and other nutrients which result in extensive pollution and... Show

The odor invades homes and some days mist will hit cars and homes (Wing S,
2002). As previously noted, the waste contains pathogens and antibiotic resistant
bacteria. As this spray is impacting residents homes it is reaching public water
sources. The mist contains hydrogen sulfide and ammonia which cause irritation of
the eyes and respiratory system (Wilson SM, Serre ML, 2007). Research indicates
these spray fields cause mental stress, decreased quality of life, and raised blood
pressure on nearby residents. NC s swine CAFOs are densely bunched in low income
communities with predominantly black residents. This region experiences poor
quality of life, high unemployment rates, subpar healthcare, and a minimal level of
education (Calhoun SD, et al, 2000). The residents in this region do not obtain the
political power to oppose the impact of swine CAFOs. Therefore, employment and
schools or any educational institution thereof are not present within vicinity.
Regardless of any reason, this is environmental injustice impacting minority
populations. This population lacks the political power to push back, therefore; they
have to bear the health, socio economic, and environmental impacts of the CAFOs
without any allocation of the economic benefits from the industry (Edwards B, Ladd
AE, 2001). It seems that this industry chooses to build CAFOs in areas with minimal
zoning codes or least

Stress In Workplace COPING WITH STRESS IN THE WORKPLACE Linda Holland Blackwell MGMT201 American Public University System Executive Summary Coping with stress in the workplace can result in the same stress as stress from any other source such as headaches, high blood pressure, indigestion, and other physical symptoms; like irritability, anger, depression. Even if a person has a job and is making a decent salary, there are still stress factors in the workplace that can add to daily stressors. Some of the typical sources of stress in the workplace are work overload, a lack of meaningfulness in work, lack of control in decision making, long hours, and a lack of job security. Burnout is the most common stressor in the workplace. This one of the most serious effects of the workplace. Burnout can cause extreme dissatisfaction, pessimism, unhappiness on the job, and a desire to quit. Burnout stress can cause emotionally exhaustion. A great deal of stress comes from dealing with other people and social interactions. Stress is also affected by status and choosing to adapt. This paper will explore what stress is and the factors that can intensify the effects of stress in the workplace. Stress in today s workplace is growing faster due to individuals dealing with constant work related demands. Most workers that take on constant demands in the workplace also deal with conflict that can even throw off their work life balance, such as poor career development and the physical

The Future of Spaceflight and Why It Should Be Private Essay High above our beloved watery globe, on the shore of the cosmic ocean, a winged spacecraft approaches a gigantesque space station pirouetting in the vast dark. The pilots of this vessel make use of flat screen computer displays to match their rotation with that of the massive orbital outpost. As the shuttle spins, a logo of the world s largest airline, emblazoned on its side, comes into view. This is not the present, but it was to be the past. A scene from Stanley Kubrick s 1968 science fiction epic, 2001 A Space Odyssey, it was lauded at the time for its realistic portrayal of a human future in space (*1). The Obama Administration s policy of support for the COTS program and apparent lack of support for NASA led manned exploration has aggravated many. Criticism includes a bemoaning of the transformation of America s once proud NASA into a shell of an organization with no git r done capability of its own. The continued launching of spacecraft by NASA and other national space organizations however, as this essay intends to demonstrate, is an antiquity that is nearing the end of its usefulness. The appropriation of space launch capabilities by the private industry is fundamental to increased accessibility to space; furthermore, it is essential for the long term health of the scientific pursuits to which NASA is dedicated. The national space programs of Earth have, so far, failed to provide a reasonable alternative to the obscene costs incurred through the crude launching of payloads into orbit atop massive and failure prone chemical rockets. While no alternative to the use of chemical rocketry has yet been proven, one for reducing its price is just getting off the ground. The increasing privatization of the launch industry has already seen dramatic reductions in the cost of lifting a satellite from the surface of the Earth to LEO. One private organization, SpaceX, has seen enormous success in this area. The company website advertises current
  • 6. Republican Dominance In Texas The state of Texas is a major battle ground state for national politics when it comes to the presidential elections. Winning votes in Texas can be huge for the political campaign of a certain party. Unfortunately; as of now, Texas is mostly known as a republican majority state. It is widely accepted that as a republican candidate, you are very likely to win the state s vote. The republican dominance of Texashas spanned for many years; however, this was not the case in the late 19th century to late 20th century. Events during that time period, such as the civil war, reconstruction, and the great depression, caused voting patterns and demographics to shift towards the Democratic Party. Increasing involvement of the minority in Texas shows that Republican support is slowly diminishing away. Like how the Democrats lost control of Texas, it seems that the Republicans are heading down the same road. Compared to the decline of the Democrats in the 1970 s, Republicans seem to be shifting away from the values of the majority. They, like the Democrats near the end of the 20th century, are starting to become a party without a message. Their views are slowly becoming meaningless in the eyes of the majority. If Republicans are to maintain their dominance in Texas, they must start addressing issues that not only pertain to white (Anglos) voters, but to African American and Hispanic voters as well. Texas has become a majority minority state. It has drastically diversified since the end of the 20th century and with that diversification comes different viewpoints on state (and even national) issues. Issues that commonly reside with minorities, such as abortion, health care, and immigration, are being ignored or not confronted enough to where minority support for the republican agendas are fading away. Eventually, Democrats will begin to leech off the mistakes Republicans are currently committing. They will start to address more progressively acts of liberalism and reform that appeals to minority voters while also attacking issues that reside within the white Anglo community. Simply put, Democrats will become competitive in Texas once they give Hispanic and African Americans a reason to vote and be active in Texas politics. Over time, the Democratic Party will once again re emerge as a competitive force in the political

Homicide By Martin Daly And Margo Wilson The Origins of Human Sexuality In their book Homicide, Martin Daly and Margo Wilson put forth a theory that challenges human societies common notion of human sexuality. They do this in an attempt to bring about a better understanding of homicide and male aggressiveness. According to Daly and Wilson, males instigate the overwhelming majority of dangerous altercations and they contend that this is due to status competition. Status competition is the idea that males must aggressively compete for sexual access to females in order to pass on their genes. Daily and Wilson cite the work of Charles Darwin, who in 1859 published a famous work on the theory of natural selection. The concepts presented in his book were later elaborated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This competition, according to the theory, makes the winners win bigger, and the losers #8230;more likely to be total losers. In their discussion of parental investment Daly and Wilson specify three different types of division. Larger females and smaller males characterize the first category called polyandry. In polyandrous species we see males making the larger parental investment, females being more combative, and males tending to out live their female counterparts. The second category is known as a monogamous breeding system. In this system the male and female parental investments are identical, the number of offspring each sex can have is identical and the fitness variances are equal. In monogamous species the male and female tend to be indistinguishable in that they are often the same size and carry the same markings. Monogamous species also have nearly the life expectancy. The final category is known as polygamy. Polygamy is a system in which the female makes the biggest parental investment. In polygamous species the male is often larger and more combative than the female and tends to live a shorter life. According to Daly and Wilson humans best fit into this last group. According to Daly and Wilson humans are the products of a mild but sustained polygynous competition. The Evolution of Desire In his book The Evolution of Desire, David M. Buss

Throughout the internship as the semester was ending I began to see a difference in the way I was treated by the workers and I began to notice a difference in the attitudes of my co workers. Maybe it was just because the end of the year was coming and stress from outside the work area was entering the office. Anyhow the drama created by the stress levels of the co workers personal and work life created many flaws within the office that I feel need to be addressed. The office is full of problems but financing is not one of those problems. The agency holds 8 civil law attorneys who pay the business half of all their attorney fees, which can accumulate a lot over a calendar year. This allows the agency to keep up to date technology in every office. Since money is not a problem with the firm the main problems faced are the internal issues of the employees. One of the problems we have is the drama and ill mannered attitudes that is shown towards other employees. For not being employed very long at the firm I have seen and heard some disturbing rumors about people that I work with. I do not feel that this rumor spreading is professional and it should not happen in this agency. However the drama will not stop due to the clique like work force the agency has. Another well known problem that the employees have to live with is the insurance rate being outrageously too expensive for sometimes even

The first would be among the Europeans who disagreed with the terms of the treaty because it opposed their tradition of imperialism, or at least, President Wilson s Fourteen Points (Foner 762). There also was conflict between the Allies who argued over who claimed what and Germany s punishment in their belief that Germany was responsible for the start of the World War. The wording of President Wilson s Fourteen pointsdid not convince the Europeans which lead to the French and British empires, for example, to reject any colony under their rule pleading for self determination as President Wilson stated (Foner 764). Medicaid program expansion and the individual mandate are two of the primary elements of healthcare insurance and finance reform (Vincent Reed, 2014). Additionally preventative health services delivered without cost, removal of health insurance exclusions for preexisting conditions, allowing children under the age of 26 to remain on their parent s healthcare insurance, and gradually decreasing the out of pocket costs for Medicare Part D participants are mandated by the provisions of the PPACA (Vincent Reed, 2014). Medicaid Expansion Expansion of the Medicaid program is an important part of the PPACA (Vincent Reed, 2014). Ozu Yasujiro s use of the 360 degree space within the film Tokyo Story (1953) may seem like a mismatched action. The 180 degree line is a rule where the camera is position at an eye line perspective. It causes the action within a film to continuously stay on one side of the axis line. Through the editing of 180 degrees, the audience has a connection to the film that makes them feel as if they were not watching a film, but rather, watching the action in person. Ozu, like many other Japanese filmmakers, was influenced by Japanese culture, especially architecture (17). The term adulteration is used in the article. Adulteration is essentially the contamination that is in foods and beverages and the challenges that the industries face is a wide issue known today. The Assessment Of A Community s Decision For Real Initiative According to Monmonier (1996), those who do have Internet and GIS accessibility face the potential to be placed in a vulnerable position. He believes that the public who is armed with a GIS but lacking the savvy to use the system appropriately becomes vulnerable to sarcastic attacks from site advocates . Meaning, that a community s opinion may not be taken seriously or may be misrepresented in the eyes of policymakers because the people in that community may not be using the GIS software correctly, therefore they do not comprehend the data that is being presented to them in a GIS platform. This connects to another complication, that the general public may not have the basic training requirements needed to properly understand GIS software. Referring back to Carver, et al (2001), one of the issues they encountered during the observation of the Neighbourhood Initiatives Foundation s Planning for Real initiative was a general lack of familiarity with GIS software, especially from older age groups of manual trade. The solution to these issues cannot be resolved in a short period of time as these are mainly socio economic complications, however, attainable solutions are present. As far as GIS comprehensive, this will become less of an issue as more people become familiar with using computers and maps through work and education (Carver et al, 2001). As mentioned earlier in Baker s (2005) article, strides are being made to teach K 12 students Web GIS, for digital learning

The club started playing really well so they became one of the best in England. They were able to pay a new Stadium in Highbury so they got rid of the word Woolwich in their name. • 42. Swine Pathogens North Carolina is the country s second largest hog producer housing over 10 million swine (Edwards and Ladd, 2000). Due to the density of swine in such a small region, 15.5 million tons of manure is produced on a yearly basis. This manure is stored in lagoon pits that are man made for this purpose. 1 Once stored in these lagoons, the manure is then sprayed onto fields for disposal; these fields contain agricultural crops or turf (USGAO, 2008). Since the ground is permeable, runoff and percolation occur in these fields and in the lagoons, as they are only lined with clay. The waste in these lagoon pits contain insecticides, antimicrobial agents, pathogens, pharmaceuticals, and other nutrients which result in extensive pollution and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The odor invades homes and some days mist will hit cars and homes (Wing S, 2002). As previously noted, the waste contains pathogens and antibiotic resistant bacteria. As this spray is impacting residents homes it is reaching public water sources. The mist contains hydrogen sulfide and ammonia which cause irritation of the eyes and respiratory system (Wilson SM, Serre ML, 2007). Research indicates these spray fields cause mental stress, decreased quality of life, and raised blood pressure on nearby residents. NC s swine CAFOs are densely bunched in low income communities with predominantly black residents. This region experiences poor quality of life, high unemployment rates, subpar healthcare, and a minimal level of education (Calhoun SD, et al, 2000). The residents in this region do not obtain the political power to oppose the impact of swine CAFOs. Therefore, employment and schools or any educational institution thereof are not present within vicinity. Regardless of any reason, this is environmental injustice impacting minority populations. This population lacks the political power to push back, therefore; they have to bear the health, socio economic, and environmental impacts of the CAFOs without any allocation of the economic benefits from the industry (Edwards B, Ladd AE, 2001). It seems that this industry chooses to build CAFOs in areas with minimal zoning codes or least
