Donald Trump s Debate Analysis
Sunday October 9th, the second Presidential debate aired generating approximately 66.5 million
viewers to watch the Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump debate the issues. Moderated by Martha
Raddatz and Anderson Cooper the debate was a town hall style with questions coming from undecided
voters, as well as facebook and the moderators. The television programs following the debate tend to
spin the debate in favor of their candiate. I tuned in to Hannity on Fox News on Monday following the
debate. I watched the Rachel Maddow show on MSNBC also on Monsay. Lastly, I watched the sunday
news program Meet the Press with Chuck Todd.
Hannity consisted of clips of Sean Hannity interviewing an array of people at the debate immediately
following the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It began with Mike Pence guest interview. This was the best interview I have seen, because it was the
least bias but not perfect. Chuck brought up trump statements and Michelle thougths. Not be swept
under rug . Pence begins and shows respect to Michelle, by saying trump feels bad. Pence says move
past. Focus of issues. But, chuck Todd follows up by saying trump not moving on and brings up clips
of Trump at rally, along with saying nine accusers came out and asks does mike really think it s all
talk. This difficult question Pence spins to Clinton corruption with the foundation amd says national
media is rigging election. Todd asks why pence hasn t called trump a good man this week? This a
bizzarw and specific claim, trying to start something. Pence says he has and talks about trump love
family. Trump aspiration to help US? Pence brings up France pres. criticizes obama and hill policy,
Todd continues to interrupt a sign of a bias not allowing Pemce to express opinions that he disagree.
At the end, Todd brings up Bill Kristol tweet about Pence resigning from Trump ticket. Next was a Joe
Biden interview, it was filmed before debate. They dscussed the tape of Trump in the RV with Bill
Bush. Joe begins with trumo statemnet txtbook sexual assault. Also, says Trump abuses power and he
is not the guy to represent the United States. Chuck asks if this leads bad message to men and women.

Analysis Of Vito Acconci s The Red Tapes
Vito Acconci has been a part of the art world for the past sixty years creating artwork that has sparked
debate for just as long. His early projects which started with a piece titled Pryings in 1971 were videos
that pushed the boundaries between the artist and the viewer. These early video tapes would become
the foundation for Acconci s art in the future that would evolve from tapes, to photography, to
architecture, and more. Born in Bronx, New York in 1940 Acconci began his career as a poet, a skill
that would prove to be helpful later in life as he began writing books and other pieces. According to
his film, The Red Tapes which was made in 1976, Acconci s story began like many others: his mother
was alive and his father was dead; this story would continue as Acconci went on to study at the Holy
Cross College where he would receive a B.A. and at the University of Iowa where he would receive a
M.F.A. Later in life, he would open Acconci Studio which is a group of architects who take on various
projects and he would teach at various schools, however at the current moment Acconci lives in New
York where he continues to make his art. Vito Acconci and his art were influenced by the minimalist
movement, in fact Acconci often refers to minimalism as his father art , however Acconci tried to
make a clear distinction between his own art and minimalist ideals. Acconci creates a source in his art,
by including his body in the artwork the viewer clearly understands that everything

Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky Essay
Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky was born on June 15, 1882, in Oranienbaum (now Lomonosov), Russia.
He was the third out of four boys. His mother, Anna Kholodovsky, was a talented and accomplished
pianist and singer. In his autobiography, Stravinsky attributes his score reading abilities to her. His
father, Feodor, was of Polish descent and was a famous operatic bass. His family moved to St.
Petersburg to accommodate his career. In the summers the Stravinsky s traveled around the Europe.
They visited family and went to many heath resorts due to Igor and his brother having lung problems.
They were especially prone to illnesses such as tuberculosis. He began his musical training when he
was nine with piano lessons. Through the years he also took lessons in harmony and counterpoint.
Although his parents provided him with musical training and were musicians themselves, ... Show

Hollywood in 1941. During World War II he composed more compositions. In 1942, Stravinsky
composed Circus Polka. Circus Polka was used for the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus.
He also composed the Four Norwegian Moods, The Symphony in Three Movements, and Ebony

The Importance of Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility is paramount in any organization. It involves the need for a corporate
organization to go beyond what may be required by regulators or environmental protection groups and
manage the business processes to produce an overall positive impact on society. Corporate take it
upon themselves and come up with an initiative to assess and take responsibility for the company s
effects on the environment and impact on social welfare. This may involve incurring short term costs
that do not provide an immediate financial benefit to the company, but instead promotes positive
social and environmental change (Crowther Aras 2008). Our founder Bill Gates has set an exemplary
model through the creation of Bill Gates Melinda Foundation that has lifted the lives of many poverty
stricken people throughout the world. It is in line with this noble initiative by our founder that we are
working to uphold the precedents set by our founder that we are setting out to launch the proposed
(CRS) dubbed The Green Hills Initiative .
The Green hill initiative is a project that will involve planting trees in the Olympic forest near the
Olympic Peninsula. This is a project that will socially benefit the community near Redmond,
Washington, where the Microsoft headquarters is located. With the increased consumer awareness on
the various environmental issues, companies are made to take up proactive steps in supporting green
initiatives ( Corporate Programs , n.d.). This by all

Essay on Parenting Styles
Reflection Paper.
Mr. and Mrs. Harsh
Heart believe in the importance of stern discipline and impose strict rules that they
expect their children to obey without question. They penalize behavior harshly, frequently with

consequences teaching lessons and setting limits on behavior. They have regular family meetings with
their children to discuss household rules and their importance to the family dynamics. These styles of
parenting have their advantages and disadvantages. There are ethical and unethical issues when it

The children can become rebellious, if the parents are just strict but do not allow much or high

The child may simply just behave when parents are around. Some strict parents are not open to ideas
and forget to communicate with their children. Which give their children communication problems.
The child will feel less confident and more insecure. The feelings of the child won t be expressed
because he may believe his feelings will be criticized or punished. The children will need someone to

adolescents have reported that teens from authoritarian homes had lower self

relationship between the child and parent. When children are under the pressure of strict rules, they
learn how to avoid punishment through lies and deceit. This leads to lying about places they are going

Difference Between Pharmacy And Pharmacy
Health Occupations Education (HOE) prepares secondary and adult students for employment in the
healthcare industry and for postsecondary education. Supervised clinical experience is an integral part
of all HOE programs. (Health Occupations Education) There is a wide range of different occupations
within the health department to choose from. These range from helping with infants, surgeons, being a
family doctor, to becoming a pharmacist. Two of those occupations which are commonly looked into
are pharmacy and nursing, such as a nurse practitioner. Healthcare has had a major involvement in the
world, it is a need and a demand today. As if the world was a play, pharmacy and nursing have major
leads in the health department. They are both a well paying job and have exceptional features, the
schooling is about the same, and the job opportunities are both increasing at a steady rate. As some of
the higher paying jobs in the health department, pharmacist falls on an average salary of $121, 500
and nurse practitioners fall on about an average salary of $97,990 per year. Depending on which
facility the job is obtained and in which state, the salary will change ( How to Become a Nurse
Practitioner , Learn How to Become a Pharmacist). Before choosing a health career based off of the
salary, the key features of the occupations will help understand the profession and help decide which
choice is better for certain people. A nurse practitioner is an advance practice registered nurse

Essay On Fort Sumter
Development of Fort Sumter was occurring when South Carolina withdrew from the Union on
December 1860. At the time just two organizations of government troops watched the harbor.Robert
Anderson instructed that these organizations were positioned at Fort Moultrie. Perceiving that Fort
Moultrie was defenseless against an area attack, Anderson chose to surrender it for the all the more
effectively faultless Fort Sumter on December 26, 1860. South Carolina volunteer army powers
grabbed the city s different fortresses a short time later, leaving Fort Sumter as the solitary government
station in Charleston. A standoff followed until January 9, 1861, when a boat called the Star of the

fortification, yet Anderson again denied Beauregard opened flame on Fort Sumter not long after 4:30
a.m. on April 12, 1861. U.S. Commander Abner Doubleday requested the first shots with regards to
the fortress a couple of hours after the fact. Beauregard s 19 beach front batteries unleashed a
rebuffing torrent on Fort Sumter, in the long run discharging an expected 3,000 shots at the
fortification in 34 hours. By Saturday, April 13, gun discharge had gotten through the stronghold s five
foot thick block dividers, bringing on shoot inside the post. With his stores of ammo exhausted,
Anderson was compelled to surrender the post not long after 2 p.m. toward the evening. No Union
troops had been killed amid the siege, however two men kicked the bucket the next day in a blast that
happened amid an ordnance salute held before the U.S. departure. In the days taking after the ambush,
Lincoln issued a call for Union volunteers to suppress the disobedience, while more Southern states

Virginia Pine Research Paper
Virginia Pine (Pinus virginiana Mill), once called a weed or scrub pine, now has its place alongside
trees with commercial importance (Carter and Snow Jr. 1990). Virginia pine is a coniferous tree
species native to North America that can be found in seventeen states which extends from southern
New Jersey down to Northern Georgia and Northern Alabama (Sullivan 1993). Its range also extends
from southern Ohio to South Carolina. Some common ecosystem communities that Virginia pine can
be found in includes longleaf (Pinus palustris) slash pine (Pinus elliottii) communities, loblolly pine
(Pinus taeda) shortleaf pine (Pinus echinata) communities, oak (Quercus spp.) pine communities, and
oak hickory (Carya spp.) communities.

As stated earlier Virginia pine was once considered a weedy species with no economic value. As
management, technology, and a greater understanding of the forest ecosystem so did the view point on
Virginia pine s economical uses. Virginia pine is now considered a valuable tree species with many
uses such as wildlife habitat, Christmas tree production, wood uses, reclaimed areas, etc. (Carter and
Snow Jr. 1990). According to research done on the behavior of woodpeckers in forested stands, such
as Virginia pine, it was found that the forest stands contribute to woodpecker habitat and that they
need proper management to keep providing habitat in the future (Crawford and Conner 1974). A key
feature of Virginia pine is that as the tree ages it is prone to wood softening due to fungal decay
(Carter and Snow Jr. 1990). This allows the woodpeckers to create nesting habitat within the trees
bole. Another aspect of Virginia pine is that it provides a source of food to many bird species,
including woodpeckers. As insects drill into the bark of the tree resin is released trapping the insects
allowing the birds to eat right off the tree (Crawford and Conner 1974). Virginia pine is also important
for browse by deer and rabbits. A study was in in 1970 to determine the caloric intake of Virginia pine
at different times in the season, the trees age, and even position in the stand (Madgwick 1970). It was
found that the caloric values increased in new shoots, needles, and cones

Explainations of the Fog of Fear in Alan Axelrod’s,...
What is fear? Fear can be, and can come from, many things. It can come from everyday life
experiences, such as taking tests in school, or giving a speech in a meeting at work. Or from things
that frighten more people than just yourself. Such as going to war, being in an accident, or in the midst
of a public shooting. In Alan Axelrod s, Nothing to Fear: Lessons in Leadership from FDR , Alan talks
about fear, and his points are valid, for fear is like a fog, it can be overcome, and that mankind has had
worse things to fear than what is feared in his writing.
Alan Axelrod makes a very valid point in his text, Nothing to Fear: Lessons in Leadership from FDR ,
when he compares fear to fog. ..fear is not so much the sensation accompanying the realization of
danger, but a fog.. which means that fear is not just something you fear, but instead, something that
clouds your vision. With too much fear, it s all a person can see, they have nightmares, flashbacks, and
other things that make even the small things in life, frightening. Yet, there are ways to overcome this
fog, just like there are ways to overcome the fear itself. Evenso, Alan Axelrod clearly places a good
argument in relating fear to fog.
In, Nothing to Fear: Lessons in Leadership from FDR , Axelrod constructs an agreeable altercation in
saying that fear can be overcome. In his writing, Alan Axelrod talks about how Franklin D. Roosevelt
overcame his fear of plio. Having been diagnosed with polio and

Travel is another manner to learn about life away from usual life. Urry (1990) states that holidays,
tourism, and travel are consumed because they supposedly generate pleasurable experiences which are
different from those typically encountered in everyday life. The director John Landis demonstrates it
in his movie Coming to America with Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, and Eddie Murphy (Akeem) as
the principal character. Eddie Murphy is a young prince from one of the African Kingdom who wants
to experience something different in the United States from what he has been experiencing until his 21
year old birthday and before his get married. The purpose is also to his own and true love during this

The director of the movies, with this scene, supports Urry (1990) who said, The experiential,
experimental and the existence do not rely on the environmental bubble of conventional tourist
service. Indeed Murphy choice as a young African tourist is not conventional tourism.
Akeem is experiencing a new lifestyle by getting an apartment in a very dirty building and losing all
his items of luggage that were stolen by the poor people of the neighborhood. As he hears the
neighbors are making noises; he talks also louder to express his happiness and his viewpoint as his
neighbors in the building. He claims, I am a life, Descartes express this as, I think therefore I am. The
director paints here the difference between of life between his journey and in his kingdom where he
could not totally express himself in front of his father the king. I am a life. This phrase indicates also
that this journey is a way to find his own path as until now he is living under the rule of his royal
parent. Urry (1990) mentions that the desire of traveling as a need to restore the body and mind. To
continue to be himself, he cuts also the hair symbol of his royalty family. Bauer and McKercher
(2003) claim that tourists increase their degree of anonymity and freedom. Graburn (2001) links that

Literary Devices In Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet Literary Analysis Essay Literary devices are reveal several details about characters
in stories, movies, plays, and other writings. Oxymorons are two opposites placed right next to each
other. A paradox is simply a oxymoron except seperated and placed in a sentence. Lastly, a
juxtaposition is contrasting two objects such as characters, places, and even their actions. William
Shakespeare successfully added all of these literary devices into his famous play Romeo and Juliet.
Shakespeare indirectly revealed character traits for Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Laurence by using all
three of these literary devices. Shakespeare used the figurative language to indirectly describe who
Romeo is. Romeo and Mercutio argue with each other about the importance of dreams (1.4.11 103).
During Mercutio s Queen Mab speech, it reveals that Romeo is a dreamer and Mercutio is not. This is
a juxtaposition because Mercutio and Romeo have two different mindsets on dreams. An example of
Shakespeare using a oxymoron to indirectly describe Romeo is when Romeo states, Feather of lead, ...

Juliet says, Come, night; come, Romeo, come thou day in night (3.2.17). She waits for Romeo all day
until night not knowing about the fight with Tybalt. As she speaks, this quote reveals that Juliet is
obsessive and passionate. She is explaining that Romeo is her sun and a necessity for life. It is a
paradox because it talks about day in night which are two opposites in a sentence. Juliet tells the Nurse
as she finds out Romeo is apart of the Montagues: My only love sprung from my only hate (1.5.136).
This clarified that she is a risk taker and very rebellious for still wanting to love Romeo. Also, this is
another paradox because her only love came from her only hate which is two opposites in a sentence.
For Friar Laurence, Shakespeare uses paradoxes and oxymorons to indirectly explain who he

It does not matter if they are documented or not, children or adults, in each case we see the unethical
state power in its treatment of non citizens. To explain this further, we will mention a few examples of
what Carens means by this as well as the merits of the argument. For example, if a person is residing
within an specific polity as undocumented, throughout the years (this is something that should be
contemporary relevant for all of us) the person will have created a huge network of social ties and
multiple distinct types of relationships. After several years of a person doing this, one must see the
moral claim that a person should have the right to citizenship. The contemporary rules to acquire
citizenship are made from beliefs and they violate the human right to freedom of conscience.
Renouncing other citizenships serves no purpose for the state. In fact, these are abuses that will
discriminate against the poor (the process is expensive), and the civic citizenship test is an
undemocratic standardize test that reveals nothing else the unfairness and nation centric view of the
state. As a side note, the only edge that Carens is willing to accept, on the conventional assumption
that states have sizeable moral discretion over border policies, is the absence of a criminal record, but
only the absence of a criminal record that would morally warrant and actually result

goal 07.06.01 focuses on the prevention of catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) in
hospitalized patients. Evidence based practice should be implemented to stop these common infections
occurring in patients nationwide. Indwelling urinary catheters are only recommended in certain

patients by 60% (Roser, Piercy Altpeter, 2014). The study included six interventions that were
followed by the staff in the effort to reduce CAUTI. The six interventions included: communication of
CAUTI data to interdisciplinary teams, a nurse driven, physician approved protocol, problem analysis
using Lean principles, daily unit based surveillance rounds, silver alloy urinary catheters, and an
antimicrobial bundle comprised of two cleansing products for patients with an indwelling urinary
catheter (Roser, Piercy Altpeter, 2014). The nurse physician protocol allowed for nurses to assess
whether the catheter was still necessary and if found not to be, the nurse could discontinue it. This
resulted in a 58% decrease in the number of catheters used (Roser, Piercy Altpeter, 2014). An
education session was implemented by nurses using principles from the Lean system that checked the
capability of nurses to understand just how dangerous CAUTI can be. It was found that no single
intervention alone could reduce the occurrence of CAUTI development. Nurses must integrate several
interventions to have an effective result at lowering the rates. However, this particular study found that
after the use of the antimicrobial bundle, rates of CAUTI did decline. Roser et al. (2014) emphasized
that education and awareness of

Essay on Hero-Anti Hero
Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman what do all these characters have in common? They are all
products of the human aspiration to be saved. The word hero is passed around too much these days. A
hero is not a football player that scores the game winning touchdown or the goaltender who saves his
team from a loss. A hero is usually an ordinary person that did extraordinary things. A true hero is
really never a hero at all; at least not in their own mind. However, there are various cases today in
which we see the exact opposites of these characters, the anti heroes. The anti hero is one who cannot
be classified as a hero, for that said character lacks natural heroic qualities. However, the anti hero
cannot be described as a villain either. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On his 40th Labor Day telethon in 2005, Jerry Lewis added Salvation Army fundraising for Hurricane
Katrina to his usual Muscular Dystrophy Assosiation fundraising, though he also encouraged viewers
to give to the American Red Cross. Not all of what Jerry Lewis has done has been good, but no hero is
perfect. Aside from controversy from the community of disabled people with comments he has made,
Jerry Lewis can still be considered a hero for the great charitable work he has done for the benefit of
others.
A reasonable example for an anti hero could be Al Capone. Despite the common image that is
portrayed in society of Al Capone, there was some that Capone did as good for others during the
Depression. Part of the reason Capone was taken to task in this way was his status as a celebrity.
Capone often tried to suppress his image and be seen as a community leader. For instance, he started a
program to fight rickets by providing a daily milk ration to Chicago school children. Also during the
Great Depression, he attempted to open up many soup kitchens for the poor and homeless. Although
most of the money he used to do this may have been related to his selling or gang violence, or even his
bootlegging of liqour, he still attempted using some of it for a good cause. He acquired a great deal of
appreciation from abounding poor persons in Chicago for his blatant disregard of the Prohibition law
that they loathed. He was percepted

Chris Mccandless And The Alaskan Wilderness For A Time
Despite his inexperience at living off the land, Chris Mccandless managed to survive in the Alaskan
wilderness for a time. His adventures across the United States contributed to honing his skills at
surviving with inadequate supplies, little money, and few essential tools. Unfortunately This was not
enough, and his inexperience on the finer points of outdoor living and general knowledge of particular
subjects proved to create more challenges, and finally this inexperience killed him. Particularly, with
his successful kill of a moose we see a perfect example of his ignorance, Then on June 9, he bagged
the biggest prize of all: MOOSE! (166.) His tendency to brashly tackle everything head on with will
and determination ultimately led to his demise, Overjoyed, the proud hunter took a photograph of
himself kneeling over his trophy, rifle triumphantly overhead, his features distorted in a rictus of
ecstasy and amazement. (166.)
From McCandless notes and photographs of the kill, we realize that Chris s attempt to preserve the
meat was met in vain. June 14: Maggots already! Smoking appears ineffective. Don t know, looks like

Cold Air Mass Lab Report
Introduction
Statement of Purpose:
The purpose of this experiment is to see what occurs when a warm air mass connects with a cold one.
The independent variable is the temperatures of the two sides, and the dependent variable is the time it
takes for them to start reacting. The control group is testing for the lowest amount of minutes (zero)
taken for the creation from the mixture, and the variable groups are the longer durations of time (up to
fifteen minutes).
Background Research: What happens when air masses collide? Air masses are huge quantities of air
containing specific temperatures and humidity. The way that air masses are created, are by air forming
over land or sea, and causing the air to be warm or cold (Reynolds 62). Warm air ... Show more

If warm air collides with cold air, then the front will be calm, while the warm air progresses upwards.
On the other hand, if the colder air meets the warmer air, the colder air will weaken the warmer air,
and force it to form a steep rising front ( What Happens When Air Masses Collide ). If there is a
scenario in which either one of the fronts do not move when in the same area, that is called a
stationary front. A stationary front can be recognized by precipitation and clouds, too (Brugge 94). An
occluded front occurs when a cold air mass finds and merges with another cold air mass under a warm
air mass. Lastly, there is a boundary that separates dry air from moist air. This is called the dryline. It
divides the moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and the desert air ( Air Masses ). A dryline is designed
as a black line with open half circles that are black (Bell 79). When air masses form together, a war
begins. The air masses tries to hustle with the other (Vogt 53). When a front is present, the weather is
unpleasant ( The Science of Air Masses: What Happens When Air Masses Collide ). Air density is
much more beneficial at the surface, however it can decrease with altitude (Desonie 16). Pressure is a
big requirement for this to occur as well. The formula for pressure is: Force over Area, or F/A (
Pressure ). There are two kinds of pressure: high and low. High pressure are also anticyclones. These

Mid 1700 s Music Composers and the Operatic Reform Essay
Beginning in the mid 1700s composers started to resist the changes that occurred in opera. They began
to resist: the preferential treatment that the divas and castrati received, the excessive and replaceable
arias and the melodic phrasing, and the extreme vocal embellishments. Coming out of the opera seria
where the focus remained squarely on the divas, castrati, and where the da capo aria was the standard
form of the time Christoph Willibald Gluck was the leader of the Operatic Reform. While Christoph
Willibald Gluck and other composers of the time did not abandon the da capo aria entirely, they began
to modify it to more effectively to fit the telling of a story. With the reform, opera was returned to
expressing dramatic truth. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

three main sections which are the exposition, development, and the recapitulation. One composer who
used the sonata form exclusively was Domenico Scarlatti. Scarlatti was one of the most prominent
keyboard composers of his time. The clavier sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti form a separate and
distinct species, written mostly in one movement, in song form, and in homophonic style. An example
of this is in Scarlatti s Sonata in D Major. Scarlatti s sonatas represent a transitional type between the
older and the Viennese sonata
One of the most important composers of the early Symphony, Johann Stamitz standardized the four
movement plan of what would become the symphony. What Johann brought to the music that was
innovative was that he played with different instrument timbres like flutes, oboes, brass instruments,
and clarinet. Stamitz was the first composer to use it consistently: well over half his symphonies and
nine of his ten orchestral trios are in four movements. He also contributed to the development of
sonata form, most often used in symphonic first movements but occasionally in finales and even slow
movements as well.

Relationship Between Rita Hayworth And Shawshank Redemption
In Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, the author Stephen King helps us understand the
characters through the development of the relationship between Andy and Red. Red first glanced at
the mysterious man who walked through the prison gates of Shawshank and saw a man that didn t
seem to belong on the inside of the prison walls. Andy had a certain way about him, and Red was
slightly intrigued the first moment they got in touch with each other in the exercise yard of summer
1948 when Andy asked Red for a rock hammer. Andy didn t waste time being social, I understand that
you re a man who knows how to get things , he said. They exchanged a few words and then Andy
asked if he could get him a rock hammer. Red was quite baffled from this request and asked what it
was and why he would want it. A rock hammer looks like a miniature pick axe, I want it because I like
rocks Andy said. This shows us that Andy is quite different and nerdy because he takes interest in little
things that are part of our world which wouldn t mean much to others in prison. They bent down and
Andy started talking about the different kind of rocks in the prison yard when Red mentions Sunday
expeditions in the exercise yard? Which he thought was a silly idea, however seeing that little piece of
quartz gave Reds heart a funny tweak. Red has been in prison for a very long time and Andy s odd
knowledge of rocks and associating the outside world struck Red a bit as no one in prison would really

Texting and Driving Accidents
Texting and Driving (Taylor) just loved everybody and was an amazing friend, said Shauna Sauer,
mother of a teen killed in a texting and driving accident. She wanted to take on the world, and she
would have. Taylor was killed going 80 plus miles an hour on I 84 when she hit a tank truck that was
rounding the corner at 15 mph in the opposite lane. I think she was probably (texting) to stay awake,
she was probably tired, said Clay Sauer, Taylor s father. Texting and driving ruined this young girl s
life, causing a huge impact in the lives of her loved ones. Each year, thousands of people are severely
injured or die in car accidents that are caused by cell phone use while operating a motorized vehicle.
People need to put their phones aside while they are driving because when people use their phones
their attention is not focused on the road, more unnecessary deaths occur, there is a higher risk of
accidents, and insurance rates sky rocket. Texting and driving is dangerous because when our attention
is focused on the messages that pop up on our phones we cannot focus on the road and are unaware of
our surroundings. According to LA Times, people who text and drive are 23 times more likely to be
involved in an accident. Associated Press of The LA Times mentioned, We all agree that things like

The Importance Of Doors In Little Brown Bats
Bats commonly enter buildings through openings associated with the roof edge and valleys, eaves,
apex of the gable, chimney, attic or roof vent, dormers, and siding. Other openings can be found under
loose fitting doors, around windows, gaps around various conduits (wiring, plumbing, air
conditioning) that pass through walls, and through utility vents. Bats are able to squeeze through
narrow slits and cracks. Such openings must be considered potential entries for at least the smaller
species, such as the little brown bat. The smaller species need an opening no wider than a number 2
pencil. Openings of these dimensions are not uncommon in older wood frame structures where boards
have shrunk, warped, or otherwise become loosened. The discovery

Examples Of Fear In East Of Eden
In the novel East of Eden many examples show just how powerful fear can be if used for selfish gain
or as a defence mechanism. Fear being one of the biggest overtones (if not the biggest) allows us to
see how huge an influence fear can be in a person s life, as with Cathy the main antagonist who lives
to hold the fear of her blackmailing someone and men s sexual desires over their heads to attain
whatever her twisted desires are. Cathy the embodiment of evil in the novel, who lives by fear is
found consistently using it to her advantage to apprehend whatever her black corrupted heart desires
from the unsuspecting people around her. Often times she would blackmail men and uses sex as her
weapon of destruction, her blackmailing these men often led to them committing suicide due to the
impending stress that she implements in their lives, in the beginning of the novel Cathy preys on her

Narrative Essay About A Birthday
On a beautiful day in November it started off like any other day in our life. We had such a special
occasion to attend that evening at the local park to come together and celebrate our nephew Andy s
birthday. We all arrive and set up the event and get all the balloons and decorations up and ready for
Andy to arrive. We all sat around and waited in suspense for him to arrive. Andy finally arrived and
was so surprised that everyone came to celebrate his day with him. His smile lit up from ear to ear and
the joy radiated from his body. He jumped up and down and hugged all of us one by one. He could not
believe that we were able to set this up without him knowing or finding out any detail about this
surprise. While all the family is sitting together I begin to start having some slight pain but every part
of me was saying Just get through this party so you do not take the thunder away from Andy. The pain
lingered on and off and I began to count the minutes until it was time to leave. Trying to get the pain
to subside without being noticed, I started to sit and then walk around hoping the pain would just stop.
After about three hours the party finally comes to an end and I was overcome with so much relief. I
began to whisper to my husband bobby, I think I might be in labor but do not freak out. As the words

Long Term Species Is The Main Goal Of Conservation Biology
1.1 Conservation genetics
Long term species persistence is the main goal of conservation biology, and this has been associated
with maintenance of species evolutionary potential (Hamrick et al. 1991), which in turn, is not
unconnected with higher levels of genetic variation in the focal species (Frankel and Soule 1981).
Therefore, the field of conservation genetics, defined as the application of molecular genetic
techniques to the conservation of biodiversity (Frankham 2010), was introduced for accurate
understanding of genetic diversity in a focal taxa, and how this can be maintained or amplified, in
order to ensure species persistence, even in a changing environment.
Population genetic theory (Wright 1969) suggests that small isolated populations will undergo genetic
drift, inbreeding and reduced gene flow, resulting in loss of intra population genetic variation,
increased genetic differentiation among populations, inbreeding depression and loss of fitness (Barrett
and Kohn 1991), leading to extirpation (Reed and Frankham 2003). This is also corroborated from
ecological theory that predicted that small populations with small geographical range and poor
dispersal capacity have higher extinction risk (Belovsky et al. 1999). Consequently, population size is
one of the most important criteria in IUCN criteria for red listing of threatened species (Mace et al.
2008).
Previous studies support the prediction of population genetic theory that rare plant species will exhibit

Dealing with Competitors
As this was a fast moving business and the topic of freezing eggs wasn t new to competitors, Jones
knew that she had to act fast. Her goal was to become leader in this industry including the scientific,
service, storage, marketing and education aspect. With working closely with the scientific leaders,
building exclusive strategic partnerships within the industry and being the only company with an FDA

industry. Though, it might have been very hard to be the only company receiving exclusive rights for
FDA approval. When fulfilling the regulations, also other companies can be FDA approved (FDA,
2009). Additionally, a market analysis regarding other fertility centers and their plans for the future

improving the procedure could be a possible side effect when working with other organizations. There

The Current Plurality Voting System Essay
The current plurality voting system in Canada is regularly attacked for unfairly representing the
popular vote and giving some parties a disproportionate amount of legislative power while leaving
others with none. Opponents contend that other electoral systems would be far superior and provide a
better democracy. Proportional representation (PR) is usually cited as the best alternative; the debate
of proportional representation versus plurality often hinges on the balance between fairness and
efficiency. Without attempting the political calculus to determine the rate at which fairness should be
sacrificed for efficiency, this paper will address the very claim that PR is more fair than the plurality
system. The proponents contend that PR is a more accurate representation of the electorate s vote, that
no votes are wasted, and that the will of the people translates into government better than the plurality
system; however, the experience of New Zealand challenges that assertion. This paper will establish
that the current plurality system produces a government that is more effective, better represents the
people, and is more transparent than the proposed alternatives, namely proportional representation.
The founding principles of democracy are the will of the people and the rule of law. The former
meaning that the citizens beliefs, desires, etc. are translated into the government. The latter meaning
that all individuals have equality under the law and that each individual

September Octavian had managed to blockade Antony and Cleopatra s ships. Attempting to break free,
Antony lost the battle but he and Cleopatra managed to flee the battle early and went to Egypt. The
next year Antony and Cleopatra committed suicide and Octavian annexed
Egypt as a province. Octavian was now in command of the entire Roman Empire.
Octavian knew that he needed to reform the government because the old way was not working any

money. He also formed a permanent army and navy which swore allegiance to him. Octavian elected
himself consul, but in 27 BC offered to lay down his powers, but the Senate disapproved and urged
him to continue. They awarded him the title of Augustus, which means Exalted or Majestic One. From
then on he was referred to as Augustus Caesar. Augustus also became the tribune and received power
for life and became the protector of the Roman people. His backbone of his power was his army but
he didn t keep the majority of his army in Italy though for fear that generals and senators may ally and

Initiation by Sylvia Plath
In Initiation by Sylvia Plath, the author suggests that conformity and having friends is a wonderful
idea, yet the idea of having an individual identity and being an individual is stronger. In the excerpt,
Millicent is slowly realizing that conforming and being a part of a sorority is not as exciting as it
sounds, and being an individual offers more opportunities to become a unique person.
Millicent is an average girl who no one really notices, when one day, a sorority group decides to allow

In Millicent s mind, freedom and originality is described as swooping carefree heather birds, they
would go singing and cooing out across the great spaces of air, dipping and darting, strong and proud
in their freedom and their sometime loneliness . Heather birds are a mythological animal, meaning
freedom has no defined description that originality does not exist in a solid form. They are described
to be swooping, carefree , meaning there is no worry of being judged, and dipping and darting, strong
in their freedom describes the happiness of a worry free life, where style and opinions are not judged
or withheld, unlike the chirping , trapped, restrained sparrows which symbolize the sorority. Heather
birds were singing and cooing out across the great spaces of air , showing that they could express their
ideas and opinions without worry, though loneliness was a consequence. In the excerpt, it was stated
that the heather birds were strong and proud in their freedom and their sometime loneliness , meaning
that there will always be unique people in the world Millicent can relate to, though at times the
individuality will stand out, and she will be alone.

Racial Stereotypes In The Television Industry
Media influences the minds of those who consume it. Portrayals in media quickly become the norm as
the consumers believe the strangest of headlines. Representations in media, specifically television, are
subconsciously analyzed and placed into the mindset of the viewer. Racial depictions in television and
the lack thereof, for example, influence the perspective of the consumer and portray a false reality.
Although the future for more racial diversity in the American television industry looked promising,
this white dominated industry has proven that not much has changed in regards to hiring, including,
and depicting more ethnic groups and people of color in entertainment. People of color are given
stereotypical roles that presents the race in a negative manner; its depiction on television gives
additional credibility to the stereotypes. Tokenistic representation hinders the nation s ability to see the
reality of diversity in the world by limiting the numbers and types of people that are seen through the

What s Wrong With Gay Marriage Summary
I do. These simply words have such a concise, yet profound message. Recently homosexual marriage
has been a constantly debated issue. In What s Wrong with Gay Marriage? Katha Pollitt defends the
controversial decision with logic and reason. On the other hand, author Charles Colson writes in Gay
Marriage : Societal Suicide that the very acceptance of same sex marriage is the beginning of the end
of traditional American society. While the essays have contrasting views, both authors relay their
messages eloquently and stir thought provoking discussions over one of the most decisive issues in
modern America.
Pollitt uses a series of analogies to convey that there is no substantial issue with permitting same sex
marriage. Furthermore, the comparisons she presents strengthen her argument and defend against
possible counter arguments. She attacks the notion of preventing homosexual marriage on the grounds
of procreation and claims that the very idea is impractical. The law allows married couples to use birth
control, to get sterilized, to be celibate (Pollitt 530). If marriages do not have to be based on ability to

Voting And Vote For Vote
In America citizens have the right to vote if you are eighteen or older. A lot of people believe if you
are eligible to vote then you should be required to vote. Another viewpoint is if you do not know what
you are voting over and how it will affect our country then you should not vote. The last big viewpoint
on voting is that people do not think their vote truly counts in the long run they think the electoral
college takes the biggest amount of our votes. In 2012, just over half of the Americans eligible to vote
actually voted with the Presidential Election. Many wonder if the statistics are that low because people
do not care or if it is because they do not understand the political system enough to consider their vote

This difficult question Pence spins to Clinton corruption with the foundation amd says national media is rigging election. Todd asks why pence hasn t called trump a good man this week? This a bizzarw and specific claim, trying to start something. Pence says he has and talks about trump love family. Trump aspiration to help US? Pence brings up France pres. criticizes obama and hill policy, Todd continues to interrupt a sign of a bias not allowing Pemce to express opinions that he disagree. At the end, Todd brings up Bill Kristol tweet about Pence resigning from Trump ticket. Next was a Joe Biden interview, it was filmed before debate. They dscussed the tape of Trump in the RV with Bill Bush. Joe begins with trumo statemnet txtbook sexual assault. Also, says Trump abuses power and he is not the guy to represent the United States. • 3. Analysis Of Vito Acconci s The Red Tapes Vito Acconci has been a part of the art world for the past sixty years creating artwork that has sparked debate for just as long. His early projects which started with a piece titled Pryings in 1971 were videos that pushed the boundaries between the artist and the viewer. These early video tapes would become the foundation for Acconci s art in the future that would evolve from tapes, to photography, to architecture, and more. Born in Bronx, New York in 1940 Acconci began his career as a poet, a skill that would prove to be helpful later in life as he began writing books and other pieces. According to his film, The Red Tapes which was made in 1976, Acconci s story began like many others: his mother was alive and his father was dead; this story would continue as Acconci went on to study at the Holy Cross College where he would receive a B.A. and at the University of Iowa where he would receive a M.F.A. Later in life, he would open Acconci Studio which is a group of architects who take on various projects and he would teach at various schools, however at the current moment Acconci lives in New York where he continues to make his art. Vito Acconci and his art were influenced by the minimalist movement, in fact Acconci often refers to minimalism as his father art , however Acconci tried to make a clear distinction between his own art and minimalist ideals. According to research done on the behavior of woodpeckers in forested stands, such as Virginia pine, it was found that the forest stands contribute to woodpecker habitat and that they need proper management to keep providing habitat in the future (Crawford and Conner 1974). • 10. Explainations of the Fog of Fear in Alan Axelrod’s,... What is fear? Fear can be, and can come from, many things. It can come from everyday life experiences, such as taking tests in school, or giving a speech in a meeting at work. Or from things that frighten more people than just yourself. Such as going to war, being in an accident, or in the midst of a public shooting. In Alan Axelrod s, Nothing to Fear: Lessons in Leadership from FDR , Alan talks about fear, and his points are valid, for fear is like a fog, it can be overcome, and that mankind has had worse things to fear than what is feared in his writing. Alan Axelrod makes a very valid point in his text, Nothing to Fear: Lessons in Leadership from FDR , when he compares fear to fog. ..fear is not so much the sensation accompanying the realization of danger, but a fog.. which means that fear is not just something you fear, but instead, something that clouds your vision. With too much fear, it s all a person can see, they have nightmares, flashbacks, and other things that make even the small things in life, frightening. Yet, there are ways to overcome this fog, just like there are ways to overcome the fear itself. Evenso, Alan Axelrod clearly places a good argument in relating fear to fog. Oxymorons are two opposites placed right next to each other. A paradox is simply a oxymoron except seperated and placed in a sentence. Lastly, a juxtaposition is contrasting two objects such as characters, places, and even their actions. William Shakespeare successfully added all of these literary devices into his famous play Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare indirectly revealed character traits for Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Laurence by using all three of these literary devices. Shakespeare used the figurative language to indirectly describe who Romeo is. Romeo and Mercutio argue with each other about the importance of dreams (1.4.11 103). On the other hand, if the colder air meets the warmer air, the colder air will weaken the warmer air, and force it to form a steep rising front ( What Happens When Air Masses Collide ). If there is a scenario in which either one of the fronts do not move when in the same area, that is called a stationary front. A stationary front can be recognized by precipitation and clouds, too (Brugge 94). An occluded front occurs when a cold air mass finds and merges with another cold air mass under a warm air mass. Lastly, there is a boundary that separates dry air from moist air. This is called the dryline. It divides the moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and the desert air ( Air Masses ). She wanted to take on the world, and she would have. Taylor was killed going 80 plus miles an hour on I 84 when she hit a tank truck that was rounding the corner at 15 mph in the opposite lane. I think she was probably (texting) to stay awake, she was probably tired, said Clay Sauer, Taylor s father. Texting and driving ruined this young girl s life, causing a huge impact in the lives of her loved ones. Each year, thousands of people are severely injured or die in car accidents that are caused by cell phone use while operating a motorized vehicle. People need to put their phones aside while they are driving because when people use their phones their attention is not focused on the road, more unnecessary deaths occur, there is a higher risk of accidents, and insurance rates sky rocket. Texting and driving is dangerous because when our attention is focused on the messages that pop up on our phones we cannot focus on the road and are unaware of our surroundings. According to LA Times, people who text and drive are 23 times more likely to be involved in an accident. The Importance Of Doors In Little Brown Bats Bats commonly enter buildings through openings associated with the roof edge and valleys, eaves, apex of the gable, chimney, attic or roof vent, dormers, and siding. Other openings can be found under loose fitting doors, around windows, gaps around various conduits (wiring, plumbing, air conditioning) that pass through walls, and through utility vents. Bats are able to squeeze through narrow slits and cracks. Such openings must be considered potential entries for at least the smaller species, such as the little brown bat. The smaller species need an opening no wider than a number 2 pencil. Openings of these dimensions are not uncommon in older wood frame structures where boards have shrunk, warped, or otherwise become loosened. The discovery ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Andy finally arrived and was so surprised that everyone came to celebrate his day with him. His smile lit up from ear to ear and the joy radiated from his body. • 30. Long Term Species Is The Main Goal Of Conservation Biology 1.1 Conservation genetics Long term species persistence is the main goal of conservation biology, and this has been associated with maintenance of species evolutionary potential (Hamrick et al. 1991), which in turn, is not unconnected with higher levels of genetic variation in the focal species (Frankel and Soule 1981). Therefore, the field of conservation genetics, defined as the application of molecular genetic techniques to the conservation of biodiversity (Frankham 2010), was introduced for accurate understanding of genetic diversity in a focal taxa, and how this can be maintained or amplified, in order to ensure species persistence, even in a changing environment. Population genetic theory (Wright 1969) suggests that small isolated populations will undergo genetic drift, inbreeding and reduced gene flow, resulting in loss of intra population genetic variation, increased genetic differentiation among populations, inbreeding depression and loss of fitness (Barrett and Kohn 1991), leading to extirpation (Reed and Frankham 2003). This is also corroborated from ecological theory that predicted that small populations with small geographical range and poor dispersal capacity have higher extinction risk (Belovsky et al. 1999). Consequently, population size is one of the most important criteria in IUCN criteria for red listing of threatened species (Mace et al. 2008). Previous studies support the prediction of population genetic theory that rare plant species will exhibit low ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 34. The Current Plurality Voting System Essay The current plurality voting system in Canada is regularly attacked for unfairly representing the popular vote and giving some parties a disproportionate amount of legislative power while leaving others with none. Opponents contend that other electoral systems would be far superior and provide a better democracy. Proportional representation (PR) is usually cited as the best alternative; the debate of proportional representation versus plurality often hinges on the balance between fairness and efficiency. Without attempting the political calculus to determine the rate at which fairness should be sacrificed for efficiency, this paper will address the very claim that PR is more fair than the plurality system. The proponents contend that PR is a more accurate representation of the electorate s vote, that no votes are wasted, and that the will of the people translates into government better than the plurality system; however, the experience of New Zealand challenges that assertion. This paper will establish that the current plurality system produces a government that is more effective, better represents the people, and is more transparent than the proposed alternatives, namely proportional representation. The founding principles of democracy are the will of the people and the rule of law. The former meaning that the citizens beliefs, desires, etc. are translated into the government. The latter meaning that all individuals have equality under the law and that each individual ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Another viewpoint is if you do not know what you are voting over and how it will affect our country then you should not vote. The last big viewpoint on voting is that people do not think their vote truly counts in the long run they think the electoral college takes the biggest amount of our votes. In 2012, just over half of the Americans eligible to vote actually voted with the Presidential Election. Many wonder if the statistics are that low because people do not care or if it is because they do not understand the political system enough to consider their vote worthy enough. Making voting required would cause people to vote for things that they have no interest in. If they do not have an interest in what they are voting for then, they will just randomly select something just so they do not get fined. Instead of researching and figuring out what is best for them and our country. One of the bases of this political system is individual freedom. This freedom extends to the process of voting.
