Robbery Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Robbery" poses a unique set of challenges, both ethical and
intellectual. The difficulty lies not only in the need for a comprehensive understanding of the
subject matter but also in the delicate balance required to address a topic that involves illegal
activities. Striking the right tone, maintaining objectivity, and avoiding sensationalism are crucial
aspects of navigating the intricacies of discussing criminal behavior.
One must grapple with the ethical dilemma of delving into a topic that involves harm, violation
of the law, and potential danger to individuals. A responsible approach demands careful
consideration of the language used, steering clear of glorification or encouragement.
Additionally, it requires a commitment to presenting factual information rather than perpetuating
stereotypes or promoting fear.
Intellectually, composing an essay on robbery requires extensive research to provide a thorough
overview of the subject. Understanding the various types of robberies, their motives, societal
implications, and legal consequences is imperative. Analyzing statistical data, exploring historical
contexts, and examining case studies contribute to the depth and credibility of the essay.
Moreover, crafting a compelling argument or analysis necessitates critical thinking skills.
Addressing the root causes of robbery, evaluating its impact on communities, and proposing
potential solutions require a nuanced understanding of criminology, sociology, and public policy.
Despite these challenges, it is essential to approach the topic with sensitivity and a commitment
to fostering understanding rather than sensationalism. Balancing the gravity of the subject matter
with a constructive and informative narrative is key to producing an essay that contributes
positively to the discourse on crime and its prevention.
In conclusion, tackling a "Robbery Essay" involves a complex interplay of ethical considerations
and intellectual challenges. By approaching the topic with responsibility, objectivity, and a
commitment to comprehensive research, one can navigate the difficulties inherent in discussing
criminal activities. The ultimate goal should be to shed light on the complexities surrounding
robbery without compromising ethical standards.

Rise Of The Taliban
The Taliban is one of the most notorious militant Sunni Islamic political groups in
the world. The majority of people have heard the name Taliban before. It is a name
that carries hate, confusion, and love depending on the person. However, many don t
understand what the Taliban is and how it came about. Some just consider them a
radical terrorist group and some see them as a historic change in government. This
paper is going to explain: who the Talibanare, why they do what they do, and how
they came about.
The Taliban seized control of Afghanistanin the mid 1990 s (Hopkins). Their primary
goal was to make Afghanistan and Pakistan into an Islamic State, more specifically a
Pashtun state. The Talibans were allowed to control... Show more content on

on the Taliban as well. As stated the people were excited for rapid change and the

Essay on The Ins and Outs of Service Charges for Flat
Rentals
The ins and outs of service charges
Services charges will be a common occurrence for those living in a flat, as they
play a part in how the building is taken care of and maintained. Service charges are
considered the only measurable and manageable way to cover the buildings
maintenance costs. If you live in a converted house, odds are you won t need to pat
monthly service charges, but in some cases you may be asked to pay such charges
either quarterly, half yearly or annually,
The purpose of service charges is to cover general repairs, regular cleaning and
employment of certain building staff. In some instances service charges may cover
building insurance, but this isn t always the case and you may need to enquire with

The following is what would qualify as expensive:
Work that costs more than ВЈ250 per flat
Services (general repairs, gardening or cleaning) that cost ВЈ100 or more per flat
Don t accept the freeholders word for any repairs that are set to take place, they
should provide you with copies of two or more estimates that they have taken out
for the work in question. Also, one of the quotes should be obtained from an
independent contractor that has no connection to the freeholder. The only instance
in which a freeloader can go ahead with a repair without your consent is if it is
deemed urgent. If you feel you haven t been consulted properly or in due time, then
it may be worth seeking legal advice as you may not have to be held accountable for
the work.
Challenging service charges
If you feel that the services you re receiving are sub par or un satisfactory you
should write to the freeholder detailing your concerns. In such instances they may
lower the rate you pay going forward or compensate you in some way. If the
freeholder is unreasonable and refuses to better the building services, you can take the
disagreement to a Leasehold Valuation Tribunal(LVT). They will decide if your
complaints are valid and hold the freeholder accountable if so.

The 8th grade teachers in Happy Homes School are developing a test that will be

reliability and validity as it relates to the construction of their test.
There are many types of assessment, formative, summative, informal. How do you

The Four Stages Of REM Sleep
Typically, sleep occurs in five recurring sleep stages. Of these, four are stages
leading up to REM sleep. REM sleep is an abbreciation for rapid eye movement.
Neurotransmitters act differently on neurons in the brain, causing the mind to be
awake or asleep. The neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine keep the brain
functioning properly when awake, however are less present when sleeping.
Adenosine, a chemical, also is linked to drowsiness when present in the blood and
is broken up when sleeping. Beta waves are the waves which occur in our waking
state. Stage one of sleep involves the closing of the eyes and drowsiness, occurring
for 5 10 minutes depending on the person. During this stage a person will experience

If the disruptions were recurring then my immune system could suffer. Sleep has been
linked before to the homeostasis of the immune system. Also as serious, abrudted
sleep can have effects on the nervous system, making it hard for me to stay alert and
stay consentrated on task the next day. Researchers believe that neurons repair
themselves when you sleep, so if I am not getting enough sleep then I am not giving
the neurons in my brain the oppurtunity to replenish. Not being able to concentrate
will have effects on memory, hallucination, and physical performance as well. Lastly,
the production of proteins happens abundantly during sleeping periods. Proteins are

For the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection that we are appointed, Triumph has

that is designed for a full country lifestyle. The collection is to be launch during
February and March 2011. The launching event usually taken place at the factory
where dealers visit the pop up store for viewing the new collection and this is to be
joined by appointment only. Information, product demonstration and order making
are taken place on the event day. Sometimes the person visiting the event may not
have the authority to make the purchase, therefore the company is given them a 3

Hirst And Emin s Essay For The Love Of God
Conceptualism, creative freedom or Uncreative trick Thomas Coull
Many of those involved in Contemporary art today, may criticise the conceptualist
style in which the latest batch of artists work as lazy . The general feeling that the
philosophy behind the piece has overcome the form of craft or design has brought
many new artist into the firing line for criticism. Through evaluating the works of
artists such as Marcel Duchamp who made conceptualism a main focus in modern art
today, it s understandable how very few links can be made from the Duchampian
style to the works of current artists such as Damien Hirst or Tracy Emin. However,

linked closely to situations occurring in Emin s life. Emin had been depressed for

depression was caused by relationship issues . It was when Emin realised what she
had been living like, that she knew she could use the layout of her bed as something
representable.
The work caused commotion by the media towards the shocking display, mainly
over the bodily fluids on her bed sheets and items on her floor such as underwear,
condoms and collected rubbish. When criticized that anyone could leave a bed

Fong Cheng Abstract The purpose of this paper is to investigate if there are different
levels of intrinsic motivation towards study, curiosity and external regulation among
males and females. This study focuses are attained by conducting a survey (137
students) among a local university in Hong Kong. Results show that among all
students, no matter males or females, their levels of intrinsic motivationtowards study,
curiosity and external are the same. Burger, Dahlgren, and MacDonald (2006) found
that male have higher intrinsic motivation to gamble when compared with female.

In view that Ning and Downing (2010) have conducted a research study among 581
university students in Hong Kong and found that student motivation is the strongest
predictor to their academic performance while few attempts to investigate more
specific factors such as curiosity and external regulation that whether they affect
intrinsic motivation among university students in Hong Kong, the relationship
between these factors and intrinsic motivation are deeply investigated so as to
improve student intrinsic motivation. Also, whether males or females would have
higher level of intrinsic motivation is also studied. These serve as the purpose of this
paper. We attempt to fill the research gap by asking the following research questions:

Haymin St Sanford Research Paper
Haymin Ståford was born in 1100 CE in Växjö, Sweden. He was a half blood:
his mother, Elsa, was a Muggle, and his father, Olof, was a wizard. They were both
loving parents and they never quarreled in his presence. He got along well with the
children in his neighbourhood. As a result, he never experienced enough stress to
do involuntary magic; so his parents assumed that he was a Squib. They sent him to
a Muggle school, where he also got along well with the other children. Much to
everyone s surprise, when Haymin turned 11 he got a letter from Hogwarts School
of Witchcraft and Wizardry, inviting him to study magic there. He was reluctant to
leave his happy life with his parents and his friends and live in a dormitory among

Hayman chose Care of Magical Creatures and Alchemy. Alchemy quickly joined
Potions and Transfiguration as his favourite subjects. He was particularly
fascinated with the lectures about the Vedas, a group of deities in Indian alchemic
folklore. They believed in a strict moral code: doing good deeds for others, using
Alchemy for the benefit of all of humanity, both present and future as well as the
universe, and being patient. These were the principles he had learned from his
parents, and these were the principles upon which he had always based his own
life. As the years passed, Hayman decided that he when he graduated from
Hogwarts, he would move to India and found a group of Alchemists who would
practise and promulgate the Vedas moral code. He graduated with an O in Potions,
Transfiguration and Alchemy. His examiners for the N.E.W.T. practical Alchemy
and Potions examinations was particularly impressed with the Longevity Potion he
had invented. He obtained an E in every other subject: he had dropped Astronomy
as soon as it was no longer a required course. And then, after his final visit to his

Monitoring using Aurdino controller which will Improve Rail Road Accidents. The
proposed harvester is designed to power major areas where there is no proper
maintance of electricity. The different equipments usually need a power supply of 10
100 Watts, for example generating warning signals, switches and health monitoring
systems.

The first step taken in this project was to do research on a variety of subjects to
gather the information required to be capable of designing the harvester. The main
area of study was to gather information about harvesters and further just in detail

As shown in figure, there are frictional losses due to the meshing of gears and
misalignment of the shaft when load is exerted on the track.
The proposed mechanical motion rectifier harvester system consists of two major
parts. The first part is input assembly, which acts to convert bi directional linear
motion into single directional rotational motion. The input assembly consists of two
rack and pinions, and two roller clutches. The roller clutches are fitted into the two
pinions, either of them engage input shaft at a single direction.
The second part consists of the gearhead, power generator, and flywheel. These
components are use to convert the motion into useful energy. Figure 2.1: Flow Chart
The harvester will be mounted to and spans two rail ties. As it is shown in Figure,
the harvester consists of : two rack and two pinion gear which convert the linear
motion to rotatry motion. Figure 2.2: Modified Prototype
A bearing clutch will be used to rectify the up and down motion of the rail track and a
gearbox will be used to amplify the rotatry motion and a permanent magnet DC
generator will be used to convert that rotation into usefull energy(electricity). When
the train travels over the track, the rail tie system displaces vertically. The rack gear
is fixed in the subgrade, the harvester travels up and down relative to the rack gear,
and the pinion gear moves relative to the rack gear. Thus a small amount of linear
motion is converted to

Social Inequalities In Northern Ireland
Social inequalities are issues that have been occurring for a significant period of
time and are continuing to be a serious issue within contemporary society. One of the
most significant social inequalities within the North and South of Ireland is religion.
Religion is a vital part of Ireland s history and due to this history, it still very much
exists within society and continues to be a social inequality. The Northern Ireland
conflict, also known as The Troubles, was a war based on political violence, low
intensity armed conflict and political deadlock within the six north eastern counties
of Irelandthat formed part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern
Ireland which lasted almost 30 years (The Irish Story, 2017). It was a conflict
between political actors including the Provisional Irish Republican Army that fought
against the British Army, Royal Ulster Constabulary and the Ulster Defence
Regiment (The Irish Story, 2017). Dillenburger, K et al, (2007) stated during the
early phase of the Troubles, shootings and bombings were nearly daily occurrences,
with approximately 3,600 people dying as a result of The Troubles.
However, the Troubles represent a fascinating part of Ireland s history with a large
number of deaths, injuries, and destruction but also a huge political and social
change (McKittrick and McVea 2002). By 1998 the Good Friday Agreement was
signed by both Nationalist and Unionists as a peace process within Northern Ireland.

Was Captain Smith Responsible For The Titanic
Do you know who is responsible for the sinking of the Titanic? Well if you don t it
s a very important thing to learn because, this is part of our history. I believe
Captain Smith is responsible for this sinking in 1912 because, he was entirely
responsible for the control of the ships wheel. Although you may think Thomas
Andrews the designer of the Titanic Is responsible for the sinking, I believe Captain
Smith is responsible. I believe this because he ignored the seven iceberg warnings.
On a result of ignoring these seven warnings while the ocean was very calm, no one
spotted the iceberg, they hit but Smith didn t take caution. So it s Captain Smith s
fault! Captain Smith is responsible because, he never slowed the Titanic down. If

Discussing The First World War
When discussing the First World War, there are a myriad of topics, theories and
debates that can be brought up, especially when its regarding to its breakout and
and what lead to it. There are multiple direct and indirect causes that all are
interconnected with one another, making it very difficult to just discuss about one
topic without it overlapping with another completely different topic. One of the
most unquestionable causes that lead to the outbreak of the war was the alliance
system that was active in the early twentieth century and that was however set into
motion well before in the mid nineteenth century. The alliance system can be
viewed as major causes from two main different perspectives; it can be considered
as a immediate cause or as a indirect background cause. However, the existence of
the alliances is crucial to the bringing about of the first world war from both
perspectives The existence of the multiple alliances and treaties is considered as a
major immediate and direct cause to the bringing about of the First World War
because it turned a conflict between two countries that could ve been easily
contained into a full scale world war that involved multiple countries. To fully
understand how and why this series of chain events were set into motion, one must
know and comprehend all the past alliances, treaties and accords that were created in
the past and that in time would bring to the two major European alliances, the Triple
Entente and the Triple

Hiv And Its Effects On Hiv Essay
As much as there are good happenings in life, there are bad happenings as well.
Overtime there have been new diseases and viruses that strike us unexpectedly and
for the worst. One of the many epidemic viruses that shook our world was the virus
known as HIV. When the virus HIV first hit the globe it was horrifying and
everyone around the world was petrified for his or her life. For instance, folks
believed it would be another plaque sequence where many people died like the drop
of a dime. In fact, the virus was fatal in certain areas such as San Francisco and most
common amongst homosexual males. Men were living with no hope for the future
and had to plan to live their lives in the moment. However, all the doubts and
unfaithful thinking stopped when a major break through and advancement was
developed for HIV. For years the medical field did not know how to help people
infected with the virus but after research and experiments were conducted they found
their first advancement against HIV. The advancement is best known as protease
inhibitors, specifically Ritonavir. Although this was not a cure, the protease inhibitor
Ritonavir was an advancement that prolonged people s lives. With this advancement
folks could look towards and plan for the future since there was a better chance of
them living longer with this kind of treatment opportunity. With that being said, there
was a lot of information that had to be researched and studied in order to transpire
this advancement. This
Synthesis Of T-Pentyl Chloride Lab Report
Introduction: The purpose of this experiment was to synthesize t pentyl chloride from
the reaction of t pentyl alcohol and concentrated HCl. This reaction occurred through
an SN1 reaction, a unimolecular nucleophilic substitution reaction. This was a First
Order Rate Reaction where the rate of t pentyl chloride was dependent only on the
concentration of t pentyl alcohol. After the reaction was completed, the products
were achieved via 3 liquid liquid extractions and then after by simple distillation. In
the liquid liquid extractions a solute was transferred from one solvent to another.
Then in the simple distillation the miscible liquids or the solution, was separated by
differences in boiling points. After this the product was determined through infrared
spectroscopy. Procedure: Isolation of Crude Product A mixture of 22 ml... Show more

In the process, extraction and distillation techniques were used. The theoretical
amount of t pentyl chloride was 17.358g, while 15.78 g was the actual amount
produced which gave a percent yield of 90.9%. An error occurred while performing
the experiment, the filtered dried product in the distillation process was placed in the
wrong flask. Due to this that part of the experiment had to be redone and the new
filtered product had some aqueous solution in it, which caused the boiling point to be
under the specified temperature. The boiling point then was at 50 в„ѓ compared with
the expected range of 79 84 в„ѓ. The IR spectrum used above was from another
group s results. The experimental IR spectrum has more prominent peaks in the 3000
cm 1 range compared to the expected IR spectrum. Nonetheless, the experimental IR
spectrum resembles the expected IR spectrum in the sense that the peaks are closely
around the same wavenumber range. This is probably due to the product being
distilled at the right boiling
Nat Ackerman
Right away in the story we observe that Nat Ackerman is an average person, boring
and monotone even. Usually we see that the protagonist of plays, stories and other
works is heroic, smart and friendly to all...Not really the case in this play. Nat
comes off as rude to me. He doesn t see Death as others would, with extreme fear,
respect and perhaps hatred as well. This is evident in expressions such as: Don t
but me. Listen Mister, it s very late. That s too bad for you. You should pay
attention . For me, it is like he belittles him. Something that I also noticed about
Nat, is his casual talk with Death, which in turn surprises the readers. When I was
reading this play, it alarmed and disturbed me quite a bit. We see that he holds a
comfortable air when it comes to their conversation, something that most of us
would not have in a situation like this... Other aspect of Nat s personality is that he
is quite ungrateful. After Death had granted him an extra day of life (taking in
consideration his feelings and wishes) Nat still had the nerve to call him a schlep to
his friend. He s rudeness and ungrateful attitude very clear. We observe his lack of
humbleness towards Death also... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is very funny, witty and I believe he is the comical relief of the play. He s
clumsy and distracted, but considerably nice. For being the antagonist, he sure is a
charming fellow... I noticed that many of the stage directions were directed at his
clumsiness. For example: And, on cue, we hear a terrific crash. He fumbles through
pocket... Plus, he is easily persuaded with a game of Gin Rummy which for me, can
easily describe of a simpleton s way of solving things. On another note, I liked very
much how the stage directions didn t interfere with the play at all, rather they
improve the visual and enhance the experience we the readers go through. The stage
directions mostly included Death s distractions which added humor to overall

southwestern region. Major cities such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and
other communities in the southwest depend on the river. It provides water for over
20 million people, irrigation for 2 million acres of land, four thousand megawatts of
hydroelectric energy, and over twenty million annual visitors for... Show more content

It divides the flow of water between the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. So the
Colorado River results from the divide that forces the snow of the Colorado
Rockies to flow towards the Pacific Ocean. This geographical journey then
continues into the boundary of Utah where it heads towards Arizona. This is
where this water created, by way of pushing, biting, and carving its way into the
Earth for millions of years, the massive canyon called the Grand Canyon. After this
natural wonder, the river flows into the boundary of Nevada, then makes it journey
into California. The end of the river passes through Baja California before making
its finale of fluid flow in Sonora Mexico. Along this journey created by nature, the
river interacts with man s influence to encapsulate the full geographic experience
of this region. The succession of dams along the river s path is a major
contribution to how man has decided to mesh with the river. The dams have
created reservoirs for water supplies, harnessed energy to provide electric power to
the southwestern region, and controlled flooding. Flood control was the main
concern at the time between the years 1905 and 1907 when large floods broke
through the irrigation gates and destroyed crops in California. The flooding was so
large it actually created a 450 square mile sea, named the Salton Sea. As a result of
this major disaster, ideas were formulated to
The Pros And Cons Of Sports Stadiums
Sports teams are a symbol of a cities pride. Take for example the Chicago Cubs.
They create a sense of loyalty toward that city. However, none of that would happen
without a stadium. Stadiums and teams can play a very important role in a cities
economy, or they could also be irrelevant. To decide whether or not they are useful or
not you must first understand each side of the argument. So first, let s examine the
pros of having a stadiumwithin your city. Then, we will discuss the harms of having
one. And finally, decide which side is more beneficial for the economy.
Proponents of subsidizing sports stadiums is a great decision because the
economic impact it will have on the community is great for two main reasons.
First, sports stadiums are massive construction projects. In fact, one could compare
them to a medieval cathedral in their attempts to dominate a skyline and inspire
pride in one s city And, just like these cathedrals, they are very expensive, and
massive building projects that would require many years of hard painstaking labor.
For example, the proposed stadium for the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood,
California, was predicted to cost $3 billion and add 22,000 construction jobs to the
economy of Los Angeles, California. Although construction jobs do eventually
disappear once a stadium is constructed once the games begin, so does the massive
consumer spending. For example, more than 3.5 million people saw the St. Louis
Cardinals play at Busch Stadium in 2015.
Diagnosis And Therapeutic Strategies Of Ebola Virus
From the first outbreak in DRC in 1976 to the recent epidemic in West Africa (2013
2015), there has been a considerable amount of research done to further the
development of the diagnosis and therapeutic strategies of the Ebola virus. Methods
for detecting the virus have improved drastically. From the initial stage of simply
identifying the virusas a whole, diagnosis can now define the specific species of the
virus. Diagnosis processes developed over the years are those that involve Cell
Culture, AntibodyDetection, Protein Antigen Detection, Conventional RT PCR, and
Real Time RT PCR, which is the current standard for EVD diagnosis. In terms of the
therapeutic process, there is still no cure or vaccine that has been approved or cleared
for use on human patients with EVD. The therapy hence largely depends on the
immunity of the patient and general treatment of symptoms as they occur.
INTRODUCTION
EBOV (Ebola virus) is an enveloped RNA virus belonging to the family Filoviridae;
under the electron microscope, it appears filamentous (Strong, et al. 2006). The
genus Ebolavirus comprises of five EBOVs; EBOV being identified as the
causative agent of the recent outbreak (Broadhurst, Brooks Pollock, 2016). Ebola
virus disease is caused by three Ebolaviruses EBOV included. In humans, the
disease is clinically characterized by severe hemorrhagic fever with a 90% fatality
rate. Since its first outbreak (largely in Zaire and Sudan) in the 1970s, two more
outbreaks have been
The Violence Of Campus Security
There ain t no doubt: I love this land, but these horrific campus killings must be
brought to an end. Guns on campus is the definition of risky, giving equal
opportunity of bearing arms to the clinically insane, over the rest of the responsible
student body. Our nation s rise in firearm related deaths, specifically on college
grounds, relates to an unheard cry for help. Over the past couple of years, guns on
campus have resulted in an array of inhumane massacres and news breakings,
stunning Americans worldwide. Guns have created the skyrocketing amount of at
least one hundred and fifty six school shootings in America since 2013 (EveryTown).
These instances could have ultimately been avoided, as our campus security should be

With the school s recent budget drop, the limitation of campus security employment
had struck a high. Only one security officer is hired at a time, with the substantial
perk of being unarmed at all times at the Umpqua campus. This factor contributes to
the numerous cracks in God s gift of education within our beloved country. Studies
have shown that at least sixty three percent of small town colleges are more likely of
experiencing a massive on campus shooting. Take Farmingdale University, for
example: their prestige rating in safety is excellent compared to the recently
endangered Delta State University. A school population peaking five thousand versus
a school that exceeds eight thousand. Which campus would you attempt to wreak
havoc on? In addition to your average Post Traumatic Stress Disorder diagnosed
firearm retailer, countless alternatives in pursuing gun variety are continuously
emerging in the bustling world of today. GunBroker.com, GrabAGun.com, and
GunsAmerica.com are only three of the hundreds of franchises that make obtaining a
weapon in America much simpler than the twentieth century. Although web surfing is
highly ranked in the top five daily activities of a college student, constant gun
exposure is not only to blame by these legal businesses, but greatly influenced by the
gun friendly parents of our American brainiacs.
Bulimia Nervosa And Non Purging Bulimia
Bulimia nervosa, also called bulimia is a possible life threating eating disorder. A
person that suffers from bulimia may secretly binge their food. They may eat large
amount of food and then purge their food to get rid of the additional calories that
they ve digested. Bulimia is categorized in two ways, purging bulimia and non
purging bulimia. Purging bulimia is when a person regularly self induces vomiting
after eating. Non purging bulimia is when an individual may use other methods to
try to prevent weight gain, such as fasting, extreme dieting, or overly exercising.
When a person has bulimia they may judge their self and their flaws. Up to 80% of
people self induced vomiting while the 30% of people use laxatives. They re some
risk to using other methods to binge. Using laxatives for a longtime can cause the
lead to potassium depletion and dehydration. Another risk is that the bowel can
become unresponsive. Some may use diuretics or water pills . Diuretics works by
getting rid of the body water, therefore it could decrease bloating. In addition it can
induce electrolyte or salt imbalances that can lead to a disturbance in the heart
rhythm. There are many signs to show whether a person suffers from bulimia nervosa.
For an example, if there is a withdrawal of large amounts of food in a short time
period. If you see the individual take frequent trips the restroom. Another sign will be
excessive exercise regardless of weather, fatigue, illness, or the uncontrollable
Nicotine Effects On Health
Nicotine Effects on Health Smoking is the most avoidable cause of death. The drug
nicotine is found in tobacco, and the most common use of nicotine is in cigarettes.
Filter cigarettes are the popular form of nictoine in todays society, controlling over

Laxus The Dragon
Laxus had heard about the only other known second generation dragon slayer.
Before Nirvana happened, he had heard rumours about the dark guild Oracion Seis,
and it s six members and their incredible power, and twisted minds. At that time,
however, the fact that one of them possessed a dragon slayer lacrima was not
common knowledge, so he d heard about the apparent snake charmer, or whatever the
people believed, and shrugged it off.
However, when Natsu and his team returned after taking down one of the corners of
the infamous Balam Alliance, he became slightly more interested. Without actually
acknowledging them, he listened to their tales that included a man who had nearly
killed Erza, (would have, if Wendy had not been there), and battled Natsu with an

The thrill that flooded his veins at the defeat of Jura was addicting. He was strong.
Of course, he d known he was strong anyway, but defeating one of the ten wizard
saints was important. He felt like he d finally proven something to his father; the
lightning dragon slayer lacrima had been put in him because he hadn t been powerful
enough. Now, he had not only single handedly defeated his father and his guild, but
he also beat a wizard saint.
But then the dragons happened, and suddenly he was one of the only people with
the ability to actually do anything. To kill a dragon was the reason for his power,
the purpose of his magic, and he was determined to do so. Last time he saw a
dragon, Acnologia itself, even the power of four dragon slayers was not enough, but
now he was stronger, and he would protect everyone.
When he heard that Cobra, the poison dragon slayer, was also fighting, he briefly
wondered whether he also wanted to prove himself. Because despite the attitude, and
the fights, and the anger, they weren t the real deal. They were experiments,
artificially made, and what right did they have to call themselves dragon slayers if

Dracula As A Gothic Novel Analysis
Dracula is told through a series of letters, journals, newspapers, and other writings
instead of a single, connected narrative. In literature, Dracula would be not only
classified as a Gothic novel but also an epistolary novel. The letters and journals in
Stoker s novel tell the reader the plot of the story; In the beginning of Draculaafter the
reader leaves Jonathan and enters Mina s world, Mina and Lucy exchange letters
back and forth setting up the rising action of the plot of the novel. In the journals
provided by characters in Dracula contained lifelike details about mundane lives.
Stoker uses his characters to create attachment between them and the reader;
Reading about a character s life and believing it to be ordinary gives the reader a
sense of realism that is not provided in most fictional novels. In David Galens
Dracula Novels for students, he states It also helps to counterbalance the
supernatural aspects of the novel by making it seem as if the book is true (Galens
3). In epistolary novels, the point of view is always typically first person. On the
other hand, in Dracula the reader encounters many first person journal entries, this
causes the reader to try and figure out what is going on by piecing together each
person s journal entries encompassing why Dracula is also in Gothic literature due to
its mysterious counterparts. Epistolary novels were on the rise in Stoker s lifetime.
Bram Stokers works were often influenced by what was going on during his life.
Bram Stoker lived through many social and political reforms in the Victorian era
which can be seen in his writing.
Works created in the Victorian era often idealized the Victorian society values.
Dracula encompasses how Victorians wanted to live and hard truths about
Victorian fears. Victorians were people who lived by set limits and their own
morals. In Bram Stoker s novel, his characters embody how Victorians should and
should not be. Victorians biggest fear is their morals being affected. In Leila May s
article Foul things of the Night : Dread in the Victorian Body , she backs up this
claim by stating The greatest anxiety seems to be that of moral and social
decomposition, as if the stench of death might be detected in the very
Historical Background Of Fahrenheit 451
Background:
Author: Ray Bradbury Country: United States Title: Fahrenheit 451 Genre: Dystopian
/Science Fiction Publication: October 1953
Historical and Biographical Information: Ray Bradbury was born on September 22,
1920, in Waukegan, Illinois. His novel, Fahrenheit 451 was originally called The Fire
Man. Ray Bradbury wanted to warn about a possible future if the problems he saw
in his time continued. He began writing The Fire Man at home in Venice,
California. He finished writing his book at the University of California at Los
Angeles (UCLA). He spent $9.80 typing this book with every half hour costing a
dime. He finished the book with Clarisse s fate still uncertain, but later in films,
Clarisse was rescued in the forest along with the other supporters of reading and
thinking. Although Clarisse was rescued in the film, Bradbury chose not to change
the novel to be the same. He believes that a writer s original work should not be
altered because the author s thoughts are purely his own and convey their own
message and unique style.
Characters:
Guy Montag: Guy Montag is the protagonist in the novel that changes from being a
fireman burning books to believing that books are essential to life. He was
inspired by Clarisse and the woman who burned herself for books to continue to be
read and go against society. While taking out the books he collected after the old
woman opened his eyes to its importance he said, Here now [...] We ll start over

The Consequences Of High School Dress Code In Public
Schools
Approximately 64% of the United States public education system requires a strict
dress code. How does the dress code affect the students and how does it benefit
them? Do the students have a say in this dress code policy? Do they have a fair vote
on how dress code violations should be addressed? There are so many questions on
how the students defend their rights in the public school system, yet they cannot
have the opportunity to have their opinions heard. Dress codeamongst the years have
changed amongst the years and not for the better. High Schooldress code is
demoralizing towards females and the consequences are exorbitant.
Dress code has been administrated all across the world and thousands upon
thousands of students have complained about their school dress code. Some dress
codes have not put into the consideration of weather and current fashion trends. There
are some schools that have extreme heat that almost forces the students to disobey
the school s dress code policies. At Baldwin High School there are very limited air
conditioned buildings which create heat in the learning environment. Despite that the
heat is too extreme for students that they have to wear shorter length clothing and
breathable attire to condemn the fact there is no way to cool down besides clothes
that don t adhere to the dress code. Students are usually taught to practice their right
to freedom of expression, the first Amendment. Dress code prohibits that ability and
discourages students. Most students interact with the daily fashion trends in the
world and want to choose to follow those trends. To some students dressing up in
their clothes is their only way to express their selves. Creating this suppression
against their artistic ability discourages these students from feeling comfortable in
their own school, is it not that school is supposed to be where students feel safe and
comfortable at? School administration claims that the dress code is imposed to create
a less distracted environment and to prepare students for their future careers. The
attire student wear are not the only distractions in the classroom, students are
distracted by their cellular devices and life issues. Yet, cell phones cause a greater
distraction in the
How Did George Soros Become Successful
George Soros is one of an exclusive group of elite investors that includes Warren
Buffett, Carl Icahn, Peter Lynch, William J. O Neil, and Jack Bogle. He is a self
made billionaire with an estimated net worth of $24.9 billion, which ranks him as
the 15th wealthiest person in the U.S. and the 23rd wealthiest person in the world.
Soros overcame major obstacles during his teenage years to become one of the
most successful businessmen in the world, and he has been able to use his wealth
to fight for causes he believes in and influence U.S. politics. Soros was born in
Hungary to a middle class Jewish family in 1930. Because of the political climate at
the time, his parents did what they could to hide their Jewish roots and even
changed their family name from Schwartz to the native Hungarian name Soros. As a
young teenager, he would survive the Nazi occupation of his country in the early
1940s, then in 1947, he would flee the Communist domination of his country with his
family to England. Soon after arriving in England, Soros enrolled in the London

Persuasive Speech On Child Soldiers
Is it known to the billions in this world, of the many who are unfairly tortured?
Thousands and thousands of people are tormented, and living a difficult life. Of
these thousands, are child soldiers. Child soldiers experience awful wars with
bloodshed, which no child should ever experience. The Middle East, where most
children are recruited, is filled with cities of rubble. Children living in this
environment can t go to school, starve and may even be abandoned or separated
from their parents. Being in war, child soldiers commit crimes each and every time
they land a foot on the battlefield. Is this their choice? Is it considered fun for them
to play with weapons? Should they be forgiven for their actions? Child soldiers
should be given amnesty... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Viewers who support not forgiving child soldiers say child soldiers need to learn
that what they did was wrong and by sending them to tough camps like Guantanamo
Bay, they will have time to understand their mistakes. However, keeping these
children in an as equal harsh environment will only trigger there actions to go and
further violate laws. Like said previously, Omar Khadr, a child soldiernow living in
Guantanamo Bay, went on to murder U.S Army Sgt. First Class Christopher
Speer. Despite that fact that others believe there are many children who choose to
become a soldier, there is always are driving factor which possibly may seem like a
children s choice. In other words, this claim is untrue. Children not only become
child soldiers because they are abandoned by their parents, or are forced, sometimes
the parents have little money and send their kids off. The parents can t keep up with
bills or feeding the family, so their only hope to make money is deporting their
children for the maximum pay of $1.50. This situation of send off may look like the
child chose to be in the military, but this is inaccurate. Lastly, critics argue child
soldiers are better fighters than adult soldiers.

Venatrack uses proprietary tools, to re create action sequences, e.g. a players eye
view of a free kick, or a linesman s view of an off side decision. The technology
debuted on UK television during the season 2008/9 as part of Setanta s live
coverage ending, post the broadcaster s demise, at the 2009 FA CupFinal at Wembley.
Importantly, Venatrack has recently been awarded prestigious contracts with two of
the most well respected organisations in the global football market, the Premier
League Sky Sports and is set to begin a three year supply contract for a wide variety
of data and graphical material from August 2010.
Market Size
The nature of the technology means it can be used to provide extensive data analysis
applications to the broadcast, gaming, betting and coaching markets within the
football industry. These markets are estimated to be worth over ВЈ1 billion worldwide.
Beyond the contract with the Premier League, Venatrack anticipates achieving
comparable contracts with several of the top European leagues and their host
broadcast partners, plus non EU leagues of suitable size and value. It is currently in
advanced negotiations with a second leading European football association to equip
its entire league with the system from the 2011/12 Season onwards. Other

Elements of Pastiche in Wall-E, a Postmodernism Analysis
CHAPTER III
ANALYSIS
An example of postmodernism application in film is WALL E. It is an animation
movie released in 2008 by Pixar Animation Studios. The film is about a robot named
WALL E. Throughout the story, there are references or similar encounters with the
previous or past works in films. These elements are the pastiche of WALL E.
3.1 Post Apocalyptic Earth First of all, the setting of earth in WALL E is clearly a
resemblance of other post apocalypse films. 28 Days Later (2002) is one obvious
example of this. Both films take place in the post apocalyptic world and the earth is
portrayed as the abandoned planet. Also, there are clips within the films which
describe the preceding events that commence the apocalypse.

In addition, both WALL E and R2D2 are portrayed to be helping the realization of
a great cause. On one hand, WALL E plays an important role in informing the
humans that the earth is a safe place to live again. On the other hand, R2D2 helps
the other more significant characters in battling the evils. Moreover, both movies
also share another similarity which is the physical setting the story takes place.
More than half of the story of WALL E happens inside a spaceship, and this idea can
also be seen in Star Wars saga where more than one spaceship is involved in the six

Resistance Between Papuans And The Indonesian
Government
Resistance in West Papua and Northern Ireland.
West Papua and Northern Ireland are both engaging case studies in examining
processes of peace and reconciliation. Whilst these conflicts are not directly related
by juxtaposing them new themes of resistance within processes of conflict become
clear. This essay will seek to examine the ways in which those in West Papua and
Northern Ireland resist border creating forces; both socially and physically. In terms
of West Papua this essay will focus on the fight between Papuans and the Indonesian
government, focusing particularly on resistance by West Papuans. Within Northern
Ireland this essay will focus on religious resistance against borders. Rather than
focussing on the overwhelming political aspects of both of these conflicts this essay
will seek to answer questions surrounding the power of everyday citizens in peace
and reconciliation, overall arguing it is the resistance of everyday citizens that often
initiates long terms changes.
West Papua History Why the need for resistance:
West Papua is a nation bordering Papua New Guinea. It was colonised and is ruled by
the Indonesian government, a rule maintained by force by the Indonesian military. It
is a country with a long running colonial history; firstly, by the Dutch as part of the
Dutch East Indies from 1898 through to 1950 s. After gaining independence
Indonesia made claims to West Papua despite the Dutch s testimony to the cultural
and ethnic differences between West

We will take a look at just how well this article follows the advice on layout and
perhaps it will change our outlook on how an article should be written. First, we
will look at how the authors decided to begin their article. They begin by
introducing the company, a Fortune 100 one, by saying they have over $7 million
worth of parts inventory in their vans. Of course when anyone sees a large number
like $7 million and Fortune 100 mentioned it draws them in. The authors then
explain that they must refer to the company as Alpha in order for it to remain
anonymous. (Michael Sanjay, 2006) Add a little mystery and you ve grabbed the
reader by the brain and they want to figure out just what is so important about part
inventory on vans. The net two paragraphs deal mostly with the explanation about
why the company would want to keep parts overstock low and the costs of keeping
too many parts in stock. They finish up the introduction by stating that the whole
underlying problem is trying to decide out of the 70,000 available parts which 400
needs to be stocked on the technicians vans. (Michael Sanjay,2006). So just how
well did the author follow the model? They appear to have done a good job at
drawing the reader in using some numbers and how they equate to the large
problem of deciding what to stock. Most people in the industry will be curious as to
just who they are talking about which will draw more readers in. Describing just

Persuasive Essay On Sports In Sports
Statement of intent: I am writing this as an online article to parents of teenagers in
order to persuade them to take some of the pressure off of their children when they
are competing in sports. Teenagers competing in all kinds of different sports have
always had a lot of issues to deal with and even more in recent years with
expectations for young athletes getting increasingly high. These issues need to be
addressed and I am going to outline why. Young people generally have too much
pressure put on them when participating in sporting activities by parents, coaches,
and teammates. Teenagers have large expectations to perform at a top level by
everyone around them when playing a sportand the pressure put on them can a lot of
the time be too much to handle for their developing minds and bodies. This will
affect many other aspects of their life which can cause plenty of stress for them.
For example, many teens participating at top levels of sport are taught that they
must do whatever it takes to win and that it is not about having fun but instead
there is a sole focus on winning. A lot of the time the fun aspect of playing sport is
taking out of the game and winning becomes all that matters. A specific example
of this common issue can be seen when we look at a 14 year old Ajay. Ajay was one
of the best basketball players I his school and loved the game but almost forced to
give it up. This is because he would develop severe anxiety before important games
due to the

Marketing Strategies For Uber s Marketing Strategy
Current Marketing Strategy
By December 2015, Uber has raised total equity funding of $6.61 billion in 12
rounds from 52 investors (Exhibit 2: Uber s Investment Rounds) (CrunchBase,
2015). Compared to its seed capital of $200,000, the company has expanded
enormously in these few years. Besides its evolving service lines, Uber is actively
investing and developing marketing campaigns. This is highly related to Uber s
success in attracting customers, which is the most important revenue stream of the
company.
The objective for Uber s marketing strategy is to attract as many new users to sign up
with Uber as possible. These targeted new users are the people who have smartphones

specific amount of money. The original user can also get a same free ride when the
new user used the code.
Event Stunts and Partnership
Accompanied by the evolution of Uber s service, its marketing strategies are also
expanding. One of its most successful marketing strategies is to using special
events or holidays to offer customers convenient service in order to acquire new
users. Michelle Broderick, a former member of Uber marketing team, said that
they are trying to get their customers promoting Uber for them. This creates a more
genuine promotional campaign and usually proves more a cost efficient way to
advertise, she said. Some of the marketing stunts include Motorcades for President
s Day which allowed customers ride in the Presidential motorcade in DC; Ice
Cream truck event to honor National Ice Cream Month. Users could order ice
cream through Uber app and then Uber drivers delivered a premium packaged ice
cream set to your door. Uber has also teamed up with Cheezburger and the ASPCA
in October 2013 and 2014 for its Uber Kittens promotion, which delivered kittens to
users to play with for 15 minutes in several cities. See Exhibit 3 for a selected list of
marketing events. Most of these events were launched through a collaboration with
other companies like the Uber Kitten event mentioned above, for instance.

Comparing George s Life And Death
Buddhism
How does this religion translate the idea of George s misfortune and enduring?
With regard to George s sickness and unavoidable suffering, Buddhists believe that
life and all its experiences are a direct product of Karma. If we are kind to others and
bring happiness to people, we will receive like best and be happy. Conversely, we
will suffer either in this life or the one to come if we make others suffer. This is
called the Law of Cause and Effect or the Law of Karma. Karmic law guides the
spirit of the departed to rebirth, in forms which match with their karmic proceedings
(Visser, 2016). George, in the context of Buddhism, should view his suffering as a
result of an unjustified life in the past.
What is this religion s view of the value of the life of George?
George s life, according to this religion, is not his only life. His life would have to
go through the endless cycle of death and rebirth. George s life is viewed as a
privilege because only humans can attain Nirvana (Visser, 2016). Buddha s Teachings
put it that the spiritual life of a man is incomparable to material things.
How would this religion handle George s to opt for euthanasia? ... Show more content

Even after unfortunately diagnosing George with ALS, Buddhists view his soul, mind,
and body as codependent and interconnected entities. Mercy killing, according to
Buddhists beliefs, cannot be justified (Visser, 2016). Should George opt for the
mercy killing of his bodily form, his spirit will be condemned and will lead to
penalty in the next life. Spiritual development can be maximized by upholding the
excellent health of the body. George should, in this manner, ruminate over his
affliction and be high with his current frame in order to have a happy existence, free
of agony in his progressive
Rumours, by Fleetwood Mac Essay
In 1977, when Fleetwood Mac released their multi platinum album Rumours, I was
4 years old and far too young to appreciate music. As I entered my mid 20s, I had
acquired a passion for music of the 1970s and fell in love with the Eagles, Rush, Led
Zeppelin, but most importantly, Fleetwood Mac. Their music had become a part of
me. It had developed into my personal therapeutic outlet and helped to keep me sane
during any emotional upheaval that I might have been experiencing. It was then that
I realized that the passionate, heartfelt music of Fleetwood Maccaptured the very
being of my soul and I became entranced. At any point of the day, whether at home or
driving in my car, you could catch me listening to any one of their many albums....

There was not a single song on the album that did not come to life and cause all of
us to relate to every emotion within their songs. When listening to Go Your Own
Way one hears the lyrics, Loving you isn t the right thing to do. / How can I ever
change things that I feel? / If I could baby I d give you my world. / How can I when
you won t take it from me? / You can go your own way, go your own way. These
lyrics capture your soul. They speak of the pain that accompanies the demise of a
relationship. On the other hand, Don t Stop provokes feelings of hope and
optimism instead of wallowing in the past. The entire playlist of Rumors causes
lovers to reflect upon their own past heartbreak and relate. The album s ability to
make that kind impression on a person s heart makes it phenomenal. We all desire to
be able to relate to others and to feel understood. Once we make that connection, it
remains with us always.
Moreover, according to the Recording Industry Association of America, Rumours
was certified platinum in America and in the UK within months of its release (
RIAA: Gold Platinum ). Furthermore, the album spent 31 weeks on top of the
Billboard charts and won the Grammy award Album of the Year in 1978 (
Christgau, Robert. Christgau s Record Guide ) ( Grammy Rewind ). Additionally, as
of this year, it is the 10th best selling album in US History ( Diamond Awards.
Recording Industry Association of America ).
As mentioned before,
Coal Is A Fossil Fuel
Coal is a fossil fuel and is the result of altered remains of prehistoric vegetation that
originally accumulated in swamps and peat bogs. The material that formed fossil
fuels varied greatly over time as each layer was buried. As a result of these variations
and the length of time the coal was forming, several types of coalwere created.
Depending upon its composition, each type of coal burns differently and releases
different types of emissions.
The first step of coal formation occurs when peat is transformed physically and
chemically. This process is known as coalification. During the process of
coalification, peat endures a plethora of changes due to bacterial decay,
compaction, heat, and time. Peat deposits differ in content from one another and
can contain everything from pristine plant parts such as roots, bark, spores, etc. to
decayed plants, decay products, and even charcoal if the peat caught fire during
accumulation. Coal is formed in anoxic swamp areas with a plethora of vegetation.
In such an environment, the accumulation of plant debris exceeds the rate of
bacterial decay of the debris. The bacterial decay rate is reduced because the
available oxygen in organic rich water is completely used up by the decaying
process. Anaerobic (without oxygen) decay is much slower than aerobic decay.
In order for the peat to turn into coal, it is necessary for the peat to be covered by
sediment. The peat is compacted and as a result, much water is squeezed out during
the first
Fungus Essay
Fungus
The Latin word for mushroom is fungus (plural, fungi). The word fungus has come to
stand for a whole group of simple plants that contain no chlorophyll and lack such
complex plant structures as roots, stems, leaves, and flowers. Included among the
fungi, along with mushrooms, are molds, mildews, rusts, smuts, truffles, and yeasts.
Toadstool is another name for mushroom. Some people use the name toadstool only
when referring to poisonous mushrooms, but botanists make no such distinction. A
general scientific term for fungi is mycota, from the Greek word for mushroom,
mykes, and the study of these organisms is called mycology.
Because they lack chlorophyll, fungi are unable to manufacture food out of the raw
materials around them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Only a small portion of those that live on land is normally visible. Most of the
fungus, a complex network of hyphae, grows underground, near the surface. The
visible parts of fungi vary greatly in size. Some are so tiny that they cannot be seen
without the aid of magnification. Others are quite large. Some mushrooms reach
diameters of 8 to 10 inches (20 to 25 centimeters) and heights of 10 to 12 inches (25
to 30 centimeters). Bracket fungi that are 15 inches (38 centimeters) in diameter are
fairly common; and mushrooms called puffballs have been known to grow to 60
inches (152 centimeters) in diameter.
Although fungi are distributed worldwide, the distribution of a specific species is
limited by temperature and moisture conditions of an area coupled with the
available food supply. The best temperature for most fungi to thrive is from 68В° to
86В°F (20В° to 30В°C). Some types of fungi, however, do perfectly well at tem
peratures as high as 120В°F (48В°C), while a fairly large number of them do well at
freezing temperatures, 32В°F (0В°C) or below.
The reproduction of fungi can be either sexual or asexual. Sexual reproduction, as
with other organisms, involves the fusion of two nuclei when two sex cells unite.
This joining produces spores that can grow into new organisms. Asexual reproduction
is by fragmentation, cell division, or budding. The simplest process is direct
fragmentation, or breaking up, of the fungus body, the thallus. Each of the

Neurotransmitters act differently on neurons in the brain, causing the mind to be awake or asleep. The neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine keep the brain functioning properly when awake, however are less present when sleeping. Adenosine, a chemical, also is linked to drowsiness when present in the blood and is broken up when sleeping. Beta waves are the waves which occur in our waking state. Social Inequalities In Northern Ireland Social inequalities are issues that have been occurring for a significant period of time and are continuing to be a serious issue within contemporary society. One of the most significant social inequalities within the North and South of Ireland is religion. Religion is a vital part of Ireland s history and due to this history, it still very much exists within society and continues to be a social inequality. The Northern Ireland conflict, also known as The Troubles, was a war based on political violence, low intensity armed conflict and political deadlock within the six north eastern counties of Irelandthat formed part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which lasted almost 30 years (The Irish Story, 2017). It was a conflict between political actors including the Provisional Irish Republican Army that fought against the British Army, Royal Ulster Constabulary and the Ulster Defence Regiment (The Irish Story, 2017). Dillenburger, K et al, (2007) stated during the early phase of the Troubles, shootings and bombings were nearly daily occurrences, with approximately 3,600 people dying as a result of The Troubles. However, the Troubles represent a fascinating part of Ireland s history with a large number of deaths, injuries, and destruction but also a huge political and social change (McKittrick and McVea 2002). Discussing The First World War When discussing the First World War, there are a myriad of topics, theories and debates that can be brought up, especially when its regarding to its breakout and and what lead to it. There are multiple direct and indirect causes that all are interconnected with one another, making it very difficult to just discuss about one topic without it overlapping with another completely different topic. One of the most unquestionable causes that lead to the outbreak of the war was the alliance system that was active in the early twentieth century and that was however set into motion well before in the mid nineteenth century. The alliance system can be viewed as major causes from two main different perspectives; it can be considered as a immediate cause or as a indirect background cause. However, the existence of the alliances is crucial to the bringing about of the first world war from both perspectives The existence of the multiple alliances and treaties is considered as a major immediate and direct cause to the bringing about of the First World War because it turned a conflict between two countries that could ve been easily contained into a full scale world war that involved multiple countries. To fully understand how and why this series of chain events were set into motion, one must know and comprehend all the past alliances, treaties and accords that were created in the past and that in time would bring to the two major European alliances, the Triple Entente and the Triple

After the reaction was completed, the products were achieved via 3 liquid liquid extractions and then after by simple distillation. In the liquid liquid extractions a solute was transferred from one solvent to another. This geographical journey then continues into the boundary of Utah where it heads towards Arizona. This is where this water created, by way of pushing, biting, and carving its way into the Earth for millions of years, the massive canyon called the Grand Canyon. After this natural wonder, the river flows into the boundary of Nevada, then makes it journey into California. The end of the river passes through Baja California before making its finale of fluid flow in Sonora Mexico. Along this journey created by nature, the river interacts with man s influence to encapsulate the full geographic experience of this region. However, none of that would happen without a stadium. Stadiums and teams can play a very important role in a cities economy, or they could also be irrelevant. To decide whether or not they are useful or not you must first understand each side of the argument. So first, let s examine the pros of having a stadiumwithin your city. Then, we will discuss the harms of having one. And finally, decide which side is more beneficial for the economy. Proponents of subsidizing sports stadiums is a great decision because the economic impact it will have on the community is great for two main reasons. First, sports stadiums are massive construction projects. In fact, one could compare them to a medieval cathedral in their attempts to dominate a skyline and inspire pride in one s city And, just like these cathedrals, they are very expensive, and massive building projects that would require many years of hard painstaking labor. For example, the proposed stadium for the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood, California, was predicted to cost $3 billion and add 22,000 construction jobs to the economy of Los Angeles, California. Although construction jobs do eventually disappear once a stadium is constructed once the games begin, so does the massive consumer spending. For example, more than 3.5 million people saw the St. Louis Cardinals play at Busch Stadium in 2015.

Diagnosis And Therapeutic Strategies Of Ebola Virus From the first outbreak in DRC in 1976 to the recent epidemic in West Africa (2013 2015), there has been a considerable amount of research done to further the development of the diagnosis and therapeutic strategies of the Ebola virus. Methods for detecting the virus have improved drastically. From the initial stage of simply identifying the virusas a whole, diagnosis can now define the specific species of the virus. Diagnosis processes developed over the years are those that involve Cell Culture, AntibodyDetection, Protein Antigen Detection, Conventional RT PCR, and Real Time RT PCR, which is the current standard for EVD diagnosis. In terms of the therapeutic process, there is still no cure or vaccine that has been approved or cleared for use on human patients with EVD. • 29. Dracula As A Gothic Novel Analysis Dracula is told through a series of letters, journals, newspapers, and other writings instead of a single, connected narrative. In literature, Dracula would be not only classified as a Gothic novel but also an epistolary novel. The letters and journals in Stoker s novel tell the reader the plot of the story; In the beginning of Draculaafter the reader leaves Jonathan and enters Mina s world, Mina and Lucy exchange letters back and forth setting up the rising action of the plot of the novel. In the journals provided by characters in Dracula contained lifelike details about mundane lives. Stoker uses his characters to create attachment between them and the reader; Reading about a character s life and believing it to be ordinary gives the reader a sense of realism that is not provided in most fictional novels. In David Galens Dracula Novels for students, he states It also helps to counterbalance the supernatural aspects of the novel by making it seem as if the book is true (Galens 3). In epistolary novels, the point of view is always typically first person. On the other hand, in Dracula the reader encounters many first person journal entries, this causes the reader to try and figure out what is going on by piecing together each person s journal entries encompassing why Dracula is also in Gothic literature due to its mysterious counterparts. Epistolary novels were on the rise in Stoker s lifetime. Bram Stokers works were often influenced by what was going on during his life. Bram Stoker lived through many social and political reforms in the Victorian era which can be seen in his writing. Works created in the Victorian era often idealized the Victorian society values. Dracula encompasses how Victorians wanted to live and hard truths about Victorian fears. Victorians were people who lived by set limits and their own morals. In Bram Stoker s novel, his characters embody how Victorians should and should not be. Victorians biggest fear is their morals being affected. In Leila May s article Foul things of the Night : Dread in the Victorian Body , she backs up this claim by stating The greatest anxiety seems to be that of moral and social decomposition, as if the stench of death might be detected in the very

Dress code has been administrated all across the world and thousands upon thousands of students have complained about their school dress code. Some dress codes have not put into the consideration of weather and current fashion trends. There are some schools that have extreme heat that almost forces the students to disobey the school s dress code policies. At Baldwin High School there are very limited air conditioned buildings which create heat in the learning environment. Despite that the heat is too extreme for students that they have to wear shorter length clothing and breathable attire to condemn the fact there is no way to cool down besides clothes that don t adhere to the dress code. Most students interact with the daily fashion trends in the world and want to choose to follow those trends. To some students dressing up in their clothes is their only way to express their selves. Creating this suppression against their artistic ability discourages these students from feeling comfortable in their own school, is it not that school is supposed to be where students feel safe and comfortable at? The parents can t keep up with bills or feeding the family, so their only hope to make money is deporting their children for the maximum pay of $1.50. Of course when anyone sees a large number like $7 million and Fortune 100 mentioned it draws them in. Persuasive Essay On Sports In Sports Statement of intent: I am writing this as an online article to parents of teenagers in order to persuade them to take some of the pressure off of their children when they are competing in sports. Teenagers competing in all kinds of different sports have always had a lot of issues to deal with and even more in recent years with expectations for young athletes getting increasingly high. These issues need to be addressed and I am going to outline why. Young people generally have too much pressure put on them when participating in sporting activities by parents, coaches, and teammates. Teenagers have large expectations to perform at a top level by everyone around them when playing a sportand the pressure put on them can a lot of the time be too much to handle for their developing minds and bodies. This will affect many other aspects of their life which can cause plenty of stress for them. For example, many teens participating at top levels of sport are taught that they must do whatever it takes to win and that it is not about having fun but instead there is a sole focus on winning. A lot of the time the fun aspect of playing sport is taking out of the game and winning becomes all that matters. • 45. Coal Is A Fossil Fuel Coal is a fossil fuel and is the result of altered remains of prehistoric vegetation that originally accumulated in swamps and peat bogs. The material that formed fossil fuels varied greatly over time as each layer was buried. As a result of these variations and the length of time the coal was forming, several types of coalwere created. Depending upon its composition, each type of coal burns differently and releases different types of emissions. The first step of coal formation occurs when peat is transformed physically and chemically. This process is known as coalification. During the process of coalification, peat endures a plethora of changes due to bacterial decay, compaction, heat, and time. Peat deposits differ in content from one another and can contain everything from pristine plant parts such as roots, bark, spores, etc. to decayed plants, decay products, and even charcoal if the peat caught fire during accumulation. Coal is formed in anoxic swamp areas with a plethora of vegetation. In such an environment, the accumulation of plant debris exceeds the rate of bacterial decay of the debris. The bacterial decay rate is reduced because the available oxygen in organic rich water is completely used up by the decaying process. Anaerobic (without oxygen) decay is much slower than aerobic decay. In order for the peat to turn into coal, it is necessary for the peat to be covered by sediment. The peat is compacted and as a result, much water is squeezed out during the first
