Becoming A Litigation Lawyer
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
People often get dreams mixed up with goals. Maybe it s because they don t know the difference
or because it s easier to imagine than it is to do. Something that you can close your eyes and
picture it happening simply because we don t wantto put in the time and effort it takes to
accomplish these so called goals . Sure, you can start off with a dream, but you can t stop there.
Eventually those dreams you have needto become plans, and just like that those plans convert to
goals and if you want it bad enough you can have it. My ultimate goal, the one above all the rest, is
to become a litigation lawyer.
My immediate family consists of my six siblings and I plus both of my parents. We are African
American and our family is strongly based on religion. One thing I believe is super important in
general is helping others whether it be something as little as opening the door or even waving to
the guy across the street. Giving back to others because they did something for you or because you

Well it s exactly the same when you want to achieve a goal, you need to have a structured plan
that you re going to act upon. For instance I want a 3.5 4.0 GPA so , my action plan to achieve
this is to study hard, come in for tutoring when I need it, and asking questions when i m
confused. The University of Pennsylvania is a beautiful school, but unfortunately I would have
to go to college before law school so I will need to complete college and then transfer there. Back to
my ultimate goal which is to become a litigation lawyer. In order to become a licensed litigation
lawyer, I will need to earn a bachelor s degree in law, meet or pass the state bar exam. The last thing
I need to become a lawyer is to work on my written and oral communication

Arabian Nights And Days
Leadership: Arabian Nights and Days Leadership is a key aspect in Naguib Mahfouz s book
Arabian Nights and Days. Naguib demonstrates in multiple short stories throughout his book that a
strong, responsible, and fair leader is very important in the maintaining of law and order. For me
leadership is something to strive for and should never be taken advantage of. I believe that being in
leadershipposition allows one to develop strong characteristics and hopefully good relations with
those he or she leads. No leader will ever be perfect, but it s important to search for the best way
to lead. ВЁTo lead people, walk behind themВЁ Lao Tzu Through out the book we see multiple

People recognize that the madman is somehow aware of everything taking place and the
underlying causes so when he states something it was taken with high regard. he said [...] if the

general population, because of his corruption, it will lead to unfair treatment of others and people

How Did Rome Use Aqueducts
Ian Malapira Latin Bell 3 Aqueduct Project
Rome had several sources of water within the wall, but the groundwater was not pleasant and
water from the Tiber river was unsafe for drinking. The city s major need for water had probably
long exceeded its local supplies when the Aqua Appia, Romes first aqueduct which was built in
312 B.C., was commissioned by the censor Appius Claudius Caecus. Many more aqueducts were
built as the cities demanded more water. The Aqua Tepula was created in 127 B.C. and the Aqua
Julia in 33 B.C.
The emperor Caligula added or began two aqueducts which were completed by his successor
Claudius; the 38 mile long Aqua Claudia, which gave quality water but had failed several times;
and the Anio Novus, highest of

Citizen Sherlock Jr Film Analysis
During the first unit, we discussed the different techniques used during filming. These techniques
can include how the camera is position on the actors like in Citizen Kane. It can also be how much
of the actor is showing and how long the scene is without cuts like in both Sherlock Jr. and Singing
in the Rain. Another technique involves cutting scenes into short shots like in Battleship Potemkin.
These techniques are used to show off new filmstyles, to indirectly tell the audience something, or
to show off the amazing abilities of the actors.
In Buster Keaton s Sherlock Jr. (1924), there were many different techniques used throughout the
film. One of these techniques used is long take. Long take is when the film continues rolling
without any cuts (Geiger and Rutsky 1075). Using this means that everyone in the scene must get
the entire scene right without any mistakes. Long shots are also used ... Show more content on

using angles to portray emotion. Kane is shot from a low angle so that the audience is looking up
at him. Shooting him from this angle shows that he has more power than Susan. She was going to
do what he said and he was intimidating to her. Susan was shot from a high angle. At that moment,
Susan was powerless to the tyranny that Kane had on her. She was unable to fight back that night.
After returning from camping, Susan packed her bags and left Kane. He was angry and started
throwing things but even throughout his anger, Susan was not shot from a high angle. This shows

The Temperance Movement Of Antebellum America
Antebellum Temperance The Temperance Movement in Antebellum America was one of the
largest moral reforms of in 1800s. Several members of the community fought for the prohibition
of alcohol, rather than just limiting the about being consumed. However, many farmers argued
that the society and its desire to eradicate King Alcohol as temperance advocates often termed
alcoholic beverages were a scheme to deprive the people of their liberty. Starting with main in the
1851, twelve states and territories outlawed the consumptions of alcohol. Temperance leaders
came about and the movement created many different temperance groups that later used an
assortment of tactics and persuasion to get their points across such as political, art, and even
education. During the first great wave of temperance protest lasting from the 1830s through the
1850s, working class radicals and union organizers had urged temperance as necessary to both
self improvement and resistance to workplace oppression. The American Temperance Society was
one of the first of groups to be established in 1826. Many other similar groups then began to
follow their lead. The brotherhoods temperance activity incorporated aspects of earlier working
class and middle class temperance efforts. For example, The Cold Water Army took pledges to only
drink water. Another group by the name of The Washingtonians worked together to form a support
group to help each other with their drinking problems, and encouraging no

The threat of substitutes, however, is a very real threat. The soft drink industry is very strong, but
consumers are not necessarily married to it. Possible substitutes that continuously put pressure on
both Pepsi and Coke include tea, coffee, juices, milk, and hot chocolate. Even though Coca Cola
and Pepsi control nearly 40% of the entire beverage market, the changing health consciousness of
the market could have a serious affect. Of course, both Coke and Pepsi have already diversified into
these markets, allowing them to have further significant market shares and offset any losses
incurred due to fluctuations in the market. Consumer buying power also represents a key threat in
the industry. The rivalry between Pepsi and Coke has produce a very slow moving industry in
which management must continuously respond to the changing attitudes and demands of their
consumers or face losing market share to the competition. Furthermore, consumers can easily switch

Walt Disney Controversy
Walt Disney was well known for being a patriarch in the animation industry. His employees,
numbering 800+, were the most experienced and well paid in the whole field. Just less than a
decade earlier, Walt and his studio had struck gold with the success of the first ever full length
animated feature film, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. The film had become, at the time, the
most successful sound movie ever. Walt had decided to take a large sum of the profit from Snow
White and use it to finance a new animation studio located in Burbank, California the same studio
that Disney operates out of today. Profits were also used to fund new ventures into the largely
undiscovered world of animation and stereophonic sound. However, behind the curtains... Show

The blue crab, Callinectes sapidus, is one of the most familiar inhabitants of marshes and
waterways along the Atlantic and GMx coasts of North America. The abundance of blue crab
larvae and juveniles make them important components of the diets of numerous species of fish,
invertebrate and avian predators (Van Engel 1987, Guillory and Elliot 2001). As juveniles and
adults, blue crabs act as generalist predators on benthic infauna and epifauna; consuming
invertebrates, fish, and crustaceans (including other blue crabs) as well as plant and detrital
materials (Darnell 1958, Alexander 1986, Meise and Stehlik 2003, Lipcius et al. 2007). It has

Theme Of Prejudice In Pride And Prejudice
In contrast, Mrs. Bennet views the same subject oppositely. A lady s imagination is very rapid;
it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony in a moment, (Austen 35). She wishes
her daughter to become the matter of the society s interest, and bask all the external glory. The
marriage with Mr. Darcy tickles Mrs. Bennet s thought into associating it her daughter s life with
fame. There is no evidence of her concerning about Elizabeth s emotional assurance toward the
marriage. Oh! My sweetest Lizzy! How rich and how great you will be! What pin money, what
jewels, what carriages you will have!...Ten thousand a year! (Austen 535). In a period where a
divorce was inconceivable, he had no choice but to deal with his own mistakes. Prejudice is a risky
act that disables one s ability to distinguish the truth.
True love arises when one eliminates the pride and prejudice. Throughout the novel, it was rare to
pinpoint a couple, who married out of true love. Both males and females were in a constant
suppression by the societal standards. The rare exception is Elizabeth and Darcy. Initially, neither
of Elizabeth nor Darcy were moral. As the story progressed, they gradually dismissed one s ill
habits pride and prejudice. In case of Elizabeth, she experienced a life changing moment, going
inside out. At the ball, Elizabeth had a one dimensional judgment. Her interaction with Darcy was
highly dependent on prejudice. It became furthermore intense as George Wickham s ill rumours
supported her poor judgment skills. She was not able to be filter the information she percieved
through Wickham in a deeper level. She only relied on the external elements, such as what she
heard and saw. Darcy, on the other hand, was drowned in arrogance, and also believed in the
reliability of prejudice. At their first meeting Darcy bluntly commented on Elizabeth s
appearance.``She is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me; (Austen 13). Accordingly,
Darcy s narcissism offended Elizabeth, causing her to develop a stronger feeling of hatred. It was
only when Darcy broke the distorted wall between them, and approached her with a pure letter. The
letter, composed of Darcy s honest reflection on his internal life, enlightened

Vanity Fair, A Popular Culture And Fashion Magazine
Famous actor Jennifer Aniston is the epitome of youth and success in today s pop culture. In
essence, she represents what all middle aged women should look like and what young women
should want to look like at the age of 46. She can be found in various advertisements for health
and beauty products, and with a personal Fountain of Youth and a star on the Hollywood Walk of
Fame, she is usually portrayed as an inspiration for women (and if she is not thought of this way,
she can definitely make a grown womanroll her eyes and scoff). For the past fifty years,
advertisements have laid down the laws and standards of recognizable beauty. Ads found in
Vanity Fair, a popular culture and fashion magazine which targets young middle aged women,
and InStyle, a Hollywood fashion and celebrity trend magazine with a broad aged audience of
high middle class women, will be used to discuss points in Susan Bordo s Beauty (Re)discovers
the Male Body on beauty, youthfulness, and addictions. An ad running in Vanity Fair is for a
Chopard watch, but it also alludes to an entire collection of jewelry called IMPERIALE. Posing
in it, is Hilary Rhoda, who also models in ads for companies such as EstГ©e Lauder, Gucci, and

Since there has been a rise in unfavorable treatment incidents when corporate psychopaths are in the
workplace, it has also caused an increase in negative effects for organizations. Such negative effects
include an increase in bullying (Boddy, 2014), counterproductive work behavior, harassment,
employee absenteeism and healthcare costs for organizations by these individuals that display these
toxic behaviors. Consequentially, even though there is an increase in these toxic and
counterproductive behaviors in the workplace, there have not been solutions established to

The Effect of Euro Crisis on India
Effect of euro crisis on India
EURO CRISIS: The European debt crisis is the shorthand term for Europe s struggle to pay the
debts it has built up in recent decades. Five of the region s countries Greece, Portugal, Ireland,
Italy, and Spain have, to varying degrees, failed to generate enough economic growth to make
their ability to pay back bondholders the guarantee it was intended to be. Although these five were
seen as being the countries in immediate danger of a possible default, the crisis has far reaching
consequences that extend beyond their borders to the world as a whole.

the Eurozone sovereign debt crisis, it is prudent to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is fiscal mismanagement that has spelt trouble for Europe. It is imperative that we draw the
right lessons from this. We will tide over small crises but if we don t cut our coat according to our
cloth, we may be in for bigger trouble.
When industry lobby groups from Assocham to Ficci were seeking policies in a meeting with
commerce minister Anand Sharma on June 1 to counter a possible full blown crisis in eurozone, a
lone voice said it may even turn out to be an opportunity.
It is anybody s guess what will be the shape of global trade if banks in the continent and the
eurozone blow up, but Indian exporters may be better positioned than a few years ago to move on
to other growing markets in Africa and Asia, which the Europeans dominate now.
The Indian government has introduced focused market schemes (special incentives) to diversify
exports. So the crisis in Europe should be seen as an opportunity for India to break into the markets
where they export, says Ramu Deora, chairman, All India Shippers Council.
If the eurozone crisis is not averted, India which has about a sixth of its total exports to the
European Union, will face unemployment in the lower income category, such as textiles, one of the
biggest employers.
Textiles, including readymade garments, account for about a fifth of the total exports to Europe.

there are planets exist outside of our solar system. There are two types of planets: terrestrial

Using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing ( Ofdm )
Abstract multiple carriers are simultaneously modulated using Orthogonal frequency division
multiplexing (OFDM) which is a transmission technique. Since the OFDM based system has high
spectral efficiency and is robust against intersymbol interference and frequency selective fading
channels. The major problem of this system is high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of
transmitted signal which causes distortion of signal.
At the Receiver, to reduce PAPR in removing weight with no distortion PAPR reducing scheme
which is based on a weighted OFDM signal is proposed. In this scheme, on each discrete OFDM
signal through a certain kind of a signal which is band limited a weight is imposed. before a high
power amplifier (HPA), an OFDM signal which is formed with the weighted discrete data is then
considered, at the receiver side the original signal can be collected completely.
Meanwhile, to transmit the weighted OFDM signal the required time duration is same as the
original OFDM signal s time duration. Computer simulations will evaluate the effectiveness of the
scheme which is proposed now. From the numerical results it is observed that , the weighted
OFDM signal has bit error rate (BER) performance that is improved when compared with the C F
method and has PAPR smaller than the clipping and filtering (C F) method. Here, the proposed
method is simpler than the clipping and Filtering method. Keywords: Bit error rate, Convolution,

Social Relationships Within The Media Industry Essay
The way advertisers from the 1960s onwards responded to the causes of demassification of
consumers began when the media industry was restructuring itself into smaller independent
operating entities. The shift during this time formed large operating industry s into smaller lines of
production meant that advertisers would have to change their focus from a mass audience into
smaller groups of well targeted consumers. Leiss, Kline, Jhally, and Botterill refer to this process of
identifying smaller target markets as one of demassification (309). Fletcher suggests, over the past
four decades, this has led to a more diverse representation within advertisingas different groups have
been identified as disposable income (129). Therefore, the process of demassification has uniquely
caused social relationships within the consumer cultureduring the 1960s onwards.
The 1960s marked a shift of consumer culture that became the process of demassifying , ... as
social relations rooted in class, family and work were challenged by the fashioning of individual
lifestyles in the expanded domain of consumer culture (Leiss et al. 295) Demassification during that
particular time was increasing ad costs, but it also made advertisers look at what they get for their
media expenditures. As Caffery suggested, demassification was building, so was the bill. When you
combine smaller audiences with higher costs, alarm systems start to ring (13). These transformations

The large number of carriers is due in part to the low capital that entering the trucking business
requires. High variable cost and low fixed cost characterized the cost structure. The motor carrier
does not require extensive terminal and equipment investment and does not invest in its own
highway, and the carrier pays for highway use through fees such as use of taxes licencing charges.
These variable expenses contribute to the high variety cost structure.
Motors carriers are classified in manner as truckload and less than truck load. Less than truck load
carrier accept small packages of shipment where truckload carrier accepts shipment of full truckload
size.
ADVANTAGES OF ROADWAYS
1.road transportation offers advantages of speed, door to door flexibility and widespread

modes of transportation.

Primary Source Vs Secondary Source Analysis
The major differences that exist between primary source and secondary source authors are its
reliability and credibility. Secondary source authors hold certain disadvantages in that the authors
did not directly experience the actual event, meaning that they do not have a first hand account of
the experience that occurred. Because these secondary sourceauthors were not affected, their
information could contain inaccurate data, or their opinions askew due to their lack of a direct
experience. Although secondary sources may have their disadvantages, secondary source authors
have the ability to analyze, interpret, evaluate, and synthesize the original events and data that
could not be done initially due to time constraints. With the ability to analyze statistics and
documents, authors can construct explanations and justifications as to why these events arose....

Secondary sources may include a collection of multiple reliable sources, but secondary source
authors have a high possibility of distorting historical accuracy due to their perspective. However,
primary source authors may not be completely reliable, may be one sided, and cannot be

Unit 3 Debate1 Week 1
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Henderson, Nevada) Probate litigation involves the contesting of a will and is something many
individuals are concerned about when a loved one passes.Reports from other countries of a rise in
this type of litigation has many scared they may find themselves in middle of a costly and lengthy
dispute over a loved one s assets, but this isn t the case. Individuals concerned about preparing their
estate or those who are facing this type of battle need to speak to an attorney to assist in the process
and probate1 is happy to be of help.
One question many have is, what is probate? . This legal process begins when a loved one passes
and is designed to show a will is valid, In addition, the process involves the identification ... Show

Sadly, this isn t the case, as every estate goes through the process, as it must be determined who
gets his or her assets. Debts must be paid, assets distributed and the final wishes of the deceased
respected, when possible. There are laws governing the process, and they tend to be complex.
Probate1 works with individuals to ensure the process runs smoothly. Our firm works to get the
heirs the maximum amount allowed by law, while fulfilling any obligations. The probate lawyer
may be called in at any time, to create the will, establish a trust or develop documents for a person
s medical power of attorney, among other things. In addition, the lawyer can handle the filing of the
estate with the court, Jackson goes on to say.
Estate planning addresses the distribution of assets prior to a person s death. With the estate
plan, the court understands the deceased s final wishes and how he or she wishes their assets to
be shared. For some, the process is simple, as the assets are jointly owned or aren t of high value.
Others, however, have estates that require special consideration. This is true when there are
children involved or the deceased was a partner in one or more

Organisational culture describes the values, beliefs and behaviours which provide norms for the
environment of an organisation (Anon., 2012). The culture of an organisation sets out to provide
structure for employees within a business and often culture shows to be a strong factor in certain
organisations. Edgar Schein, a culture theorist explains that the definition of organizational culture
must be general otherwise factors may be eliminated which may contribute to culture within a
business. (Anon., 2007). Culture impacts on the working procedures in which a business performs

Employees follow specific job descriptions and their aim is to complete individual tasks set, role
culture also displays bureaucracy within a company (Sherwin, 2009). John Lewis has implemented
a role culture within their organisation allowing staff to have individual roles to complete
advantageously giving them a sense of job identity within the culture of the business.(Potter, 2010)
explains that John Lewis encourage respect, fairness, dialogue and collaboration between all staff
(shareholders or partners) to work from a leadership base of high credibility and trust. Therefore
this shows they value importance on their employees and ensure they have a positive reputation of
culture. By issuing yearly bonuses to employees, they show importance of their staff to the
company and communication of this is shown in the public eye.
Task culture is an explanation of businesses which value high importance of the tasks in hand and
make every effort of the company to complete tasks set. There is less control and influence from
sub ordinates as employees work in team based groups to ensure completion of work. An example
of this culture would be seen in more research based businesses where more team working is
required with different skills to implement within the business surroundings.

The Importance Of Greed In The Gililded Age And The...
Greed is a person who has a selfish and excessive desire for more than is needed. It is putting one
s own self interest ahead while damaging another person (Merriam Webster Dictionary). To be
greedy can include anything from fame, money, status, power, and influence. Although greed
has a negative connotation, there is a positive aspect to it. An example would be self interest. In
one s perspective, they can view self interest as a bad thing; on the other hand, a person can view
self interest as something good. Gordon Gekko made two speeches describing that greed is good
and that it is not good. The endless debate of whether greed is good or bad forces people to
evaluate to what end does greed take part in the Gilded Age and the Industrial Revolution. It makes
people take in the perspective of the relationship between greed, technology, risk taking, and the
desire to get ahead.
In a way, greed served as the central component of the Gilded Age and the Industrial Revolution.
Mark Twain coined the term Gilded Age because it describes the facade that covered the economic
and social problems. It illustrates the widening of the gap between the rich and poor (Foner 600).

Cause And Effect Essay On Drivers Driving
Automobile accidents are a leading cause of death in the United States today. A high percentage
of these accidents are caused by elderly drivers who are not fit to drive. Health issues, lack of
knowledge of new driving laws, or the development of bad driving habits are some factors that
contribute to this issue. However, not all older drivers are dangerous behind the wheel. Actually,
many are safer drivers than their younger counterparts. They are more cautious, adapt to weather
conditions better, and tend to be less distracted behind the wheel. But the government should not
ignore the elderly drivers who have killed others while behind the wheel due to age related
issues. Licensed drivers over the age of 65 should be required to retake their driving test every
year due to health issues that come with age, updated driving laws, and bad driving habits that
develop over time. Health issues that come with age can heavily affect a driver s ability to
control an automobile safely. Dementia, strokes, and impaired vision are just a few examples of
many health issues that cause some senior drivers to be unfit to drive. Dementia affects its
victims by severely decreasing thinking skills and causing memory loss. When a stroke occurs,
blood flow is cut off from the brain, which eliminates the driver s ability to control their vehicle.
The chance of a stroke increases tremendously with age. From a decrease in depth perception,
blurry vision, and cataracts; impaired vision can come in

Over the last decade, while the U.S. based Eastman Kodak Company was sleeping, the Japanese
firm Fuji Photo Film opened its first film production plant in the U.S., cut prices, marketed
aggressively and stole valuable market share. Kodak maintains that it will not engage in a price
war to win customers back, due to potential profit erosion. The inroads that Fuji has made in the
U.S. market will certainly continue their momentum. They (Kodak) are competing against an
extremely determined, extremely proficient and extremely well financed company in Fuji, says
Michael Ellman, who tracks Kodak for Schroder Company.3 What then, begs the question, is
Kodak to do? Many analysts are demanding that Kodak s CEO George Fisher take drastic action to
cut costs, reduce debt and right the sinking ship.
THE CHANGING CUSTOMER The dynamics within the photo industry have changed
dramatically within the past 15 years. Once upon a time, the film industry within the United States
was basically stable and predictable, with industry leader Eastman Kodak, a US based company
headquartered in Rochester, N.Y., having a commanding share of the industry, hovering between 80
to 90%.4 No competitors even had a double digit percentage of the amateur photo market and many

Notes Funds Are Superior For Hedge Funds
Index Funds are Superior to Hedge Funds
In 2006, a hedge fund manager by the name of John Paulson realized the housing market and the
value of subprime mortgages were grossly inflated and would be headed for a major fall. In the
summer of 2007, the markets began to collapse, bringing Paulson early profits. By the year s end,
John Paulson had pulled off the greatest financial trade in history, earning more than $15 billion
for his firm. He subsequently invested funds in gold share classes in 2010, but they did not
perform as well as the firm planned, causing his net worth to drop $700 million (Zuckerman). These

Both hedge funds and index funds stem from the idea of an independent mutual fund, but their
potential to succeed is dependent upon the economy performing well. The success of all
investments, whether a bull or bear market, are significantly driven by the performance of the
overall economy. Economics explains how people interact within markets to gain what they want or
to accomplish their goals. The market usually either has falling prices, which means a bear market
and when flourishing this is referred to as the bull market. The United States is a market economy,
which means the financial decisions and the pricing of goods and services are guided primarily by
the aggregate interactions of a country s citizens and businesses. In other words, market economies
have little government intervention or central planning (Investopedia). In addition to the
performance of the overall market, the returns for individuals are impacted by a company s

goal of investing is to gradually build wealth over an extended period of time through the buying

Sacred Places Research Paper
The archives found in the area depicts that the people of the Ur district worshiped many Gods.
However, it can be deduced that the major God that the people of Ur worshiped was the Nanna
or the Moon God. As mentioned above, the city of Ur was divided into two areas, namely,
common district and the sacred place. The sacred place has a large monument or massive
brickwork which is called the temple of Sinor the godof the moon. This monument was erected by
the king of Ur about 4000 years ago. The temple was made in a series of platforms, one platform
on top of another. The people of Ur assumed that the God lived at the third platform. In the common
district, there were a large number of marketplaces, schools, libraries, homes and conveniences....

In this massive destruction, a large number of inhabitants ran away, and several buildings were
destructed. Therefore, there is evidence available regarding the living of the people in the
traditional Ur city. The archaeologists have used the little information from which the plans of
streets, houses and shops have been drawn. The artifacts and the archeological findings show
that in a typical townhouse, street door opened into a small lobby. The entrance of the house
contained a jar of water which is provided to the arriving people to wash their feet. On another
side of the lobby, there is another courtyard. Surrounding the courtyard were various rooms like
store rooms, lavatory and kitchen. The kitchen includes a table built with brick, grinding stones
and oven for cooking. The people in the ancient city also used pots and pan for cooking. The
typical houses in Ur city contained a long room in the center called reception room. The modern
Arab houses also follow the same pattern. In addition to it, the houses of Ur had a well constructed
staircase at the other side of the house courtyard. Generally, the houses do not have an upper floor;

Chinese may choose to satisfy their sweet tooth with dried and preserved fruits or some other
traditional sweets. Also gums may be replaced by tooth brushing or mouth sprayer, etc.
However, in my perspective, those substitutes actually cannot replace all the enjoyments that
confectionery brings to consumers. For instance, preserved fruits cannot satisfy consumers desire
for fashion.
In this sense, the urgency of this area is also moderate to high. Wrigley needs to explore new
characteristics and qualities of confectionery that cannot be easily imitated by other products.
New Market Entrants (green zone)
Market entrance barrier is really very low in the sense that some of China s traditional sweets are
actually produced in traditional home mills.
However, as more technology is being involved into confectionery products, high end market is no
easy to enter. Wrigley s strong financial strength and product portfolio make it hard for outsiders to
affect its current business. Therefore, I believe that the threat from new market entrants is relatively
low. Supplier (green zone)
Since the raw material to be used in confectionery production is neither rare nor expensive,
supplier has a comparatively low bargaining power. The actual profit margin on manufacturing
itself is not high while the most value added process is sales and marketing. Hence, in my opinion
Wrigley does not need to leverage too much resource in defending

Due to the receding Arctic ice there is now a partially open route through the Northwest Passage

The Bottlenose Dolphin Essay
Have you ever wondered how the Tursiops Truncatus dolphin got its name? It got its name because
it s nose, which is short and stubby. The Tursiops Truncatus coloring is different from other
dolphins. Their physical appearance is intriguing and distinctive. They have fascinating family life
and eating habits. You can even see bottlenose dolphins in many places in the U.S.A. Their main
home is the Pacific Ocean, but they also live in many other places. The coloring of the bottlenose
dolphinis unique. It is light gray on top and pale pink on bottom. This coloring helps disguise itself
from its predators. The light gray coloring helps it be camouflaged with shadows in the water. The
underside coloring, a pale pink, helps the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hydrodynamic motion is impressive water movement or quickly moving water. The bottlenose
dolphin s head allows for twenty to twenty four sharp, conical teeth on each side of the upper
jaw, and eighteen to twenty four teeth on each side of the lower jaw. That gives the bottlenose
dolphin seventy six to ninety eight teeth in all! Conical means cone shaped. These teeth might
compare to the human incisors. The teeth are used mainly for catching food and holding the
food so it won t get away. The eating habits of the dolphin can vary by habitat, location and the
food accessibility and availability. Bottlenose dolphins may eat many various aquatic organisms.
Usually bottlenose dolphins eat fish and crustaceans. They also may eat octopus, mackerel, cod,
herring, mullet, squid and eels, along with shrimp. The adult dolphins take in about four to five
percent of their body weight in food each day! The average bottlenose dolphin will consume
seven to ten pounds of food a day. Of course, the male will eat more than the female. A nursing
mother will eat more than the standard dolphins; she takes in about eight percent of her body
weight. When hunting for food dolphins may corner the prey in shallow water. The bottlenose
dolphin will usually swallow the prey s head first. For larger fish, such as the impressive
hammerhead shark, several bottlenose dolphins will kick it out of the water with their flukes. This
injures and stuns the large fish and the

History of the Eucharist
History of the Eucharist The Sacrament of Eucharist is the most frequently received Sacraments in
the Catholic Church. The matter in the Sacrament of Eucharist is the bread and wine, which
changes into the body and blood of Jesus Christ. The Sacrament of Eucharist is dated in the Bible
as far back to the Old Testament, indirectly as the Israelites flee from Egypt in the desert, and God
gives them manna to eat. This happens multiple times while the Israelites are searching for the
Promised Land. The most important part of the Bible when the Eucharistis received, is when Jesus
and the Apostles are at the Last Supper. Through the Sacrament of Eucharist, Jesus breaks the
bread and passes it around to his apostles. Then, Jesus says that one of them will betray him, and
whoever dips the bread in the wine at the same time he does will be the one who will betray him.
As we know Judas was the one who betrayed him, and must have been the one to dip the bread in
the wine at the same time as Jesus. Even though all the Gospel writers wrote about Jesus Matthew,
Mark, and Luke wrote about the meal Jesus had with his Apostles the night before his death, not
John. Between the Resurrection of Jesus, and the conversion of the Emperor Constantine to
Christianity. During this period of time in the Roman Empire, people who were Christians, were
persecuted in public, just because of their beliefs. Christians had made a modification to having to

The Opening Of The Imperial Ballet School
After the Romantic era ballet had died out in Paris and Russia became the new focus. In 1738, the
opening of the Imperial Ballet School in St. Petersburg attracted many great dancers and
choreographers such as Marie Taglioni. This school was controlled by an aristocrat named Czar.
The most well known 19th century choreographer, Marius Petipa, became the balletmaster of the
entire school, shaping imperial and classical ballet. Ideas such as increased focus on technique,
formulaic choreography, mime and gesture, and lengthy ballets can be seen in Petipa s most
famous ballets. These famous ballets include The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Swan
Lake. In the 20th century, Sergei Diaghilevintroduced a traveling ballet company called Ballet
Russes. Starting out in Paris, this company brings together Russian and Western ideas with a spark
of modernism. This company brought together revolutionary collaborations between
choreographers, dancers, composers, artists, and fashion designers. Through the development of
Russian ballet, there has been rejection and embracement as well as changes in structure and
choreography. Ballet master Marius Petipa moved to Russia because he felt hidden in the shadows
of his more famous brother Lucien Petipa. For three decades, he was the ballet master of the
Imperial Ballet School creating lavish, extravagant ballets unlike the previous Romantic era had.
Petipa had some new ideas for the ballet. For example, according to the

Visit To Hawaii
There is always one place someone wants to go visit from hearing about it from a friend or
seeing pictures online. The place I want to visit over any place in the entire world is Hawaii
because of all the tropical foods, sunny beaches and so many activities to do. Such as, hiking to a
waterfall and jumping in or going on a tour around the island in a helicopter.
One reason I want to visit Hawaii is because the beaches look amazing, and the beaches have so
many things to do. If I went I would go to the beaches on the bay first, to practice surfing and play
games on the beach. I would play wiffle ball, ultimate Frisbee and pass a football around, or
lacrosse ball. Wiffle ball is a lot of fun because I hit the ball to the ground a lot, so I dive to get the
base. Ultimate frisbee is hard to play on the beach because of the wind, so I dive to catch almost
every throw. After a couple of days I d switch to the ocean side of Hawaii to go body boarding,
boogie boarding, and surfing. Boogie boarding is more fun with bigger waves because I get to ride
the wave for a longer time. Bodyboarding is tough for me to catch a wave, but is amazing once I
finally catch one. Surfing is a little tricky to stand up and is much easier for me to stay up once I
get the hang of it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Coconuts are delicious and can be great to eat on the beach because they re drinkable and edible
. The coconut is great as a cup or use it as a decoration in my hotel or house. Pineapples are
grown in Hawaii naturally so they are fresh and would taste amazing. Also, I could put them on
a kabob and roast them over a fire and have that a dinner. If I were to hold a party or get together,
pineapples would be great to put on toothpicks and serve them. Or as a target and hit the pineapple
with a lacrosse ball to increase my

A Masterpiece Of Olfactory Art
Chanel No. 5: a masterpiece of olfactory art
It has been over a century since Mademoiselle Chanel, determined to reform the concept of
femininity as much in style as in the essence, commissioned at the chemist Ernest Beaux what will
become the symbol of the international perfumery. Chanel No. 5 is unquestionably the most
legendary ever made fragrance, described as an opera of olfactory art. Independent, unconventional,
and provocative Coco Chanel transformed her unfamiliar name in an obligatory reference point for
fashion design of the twentieth. Icon of female strength, she translates the complexity and elegance
that characterize the woman, with the creation of what would become the scent par excellence. Her
way of conceiving the perfume is peculiar. When asked where to put the perfume she replies: A
woman should wear a fragrance wherever she expects to be kissed (A Woman). Coco also launches
what turned out according to the instructions of the designer had to embody a concept of femininity
timeless, unique and fascinating. The avant garde idea of Chanel breaks every scheme imagining
her fragrance for a modern and independent woman, far from the stereotype that envisages she
should perfume of roses. Hence, Chanel No. 5 is the first perfume that rejects the convention and
symbolizes the technological and cultural innovation, furthermore, the women s empowerment.
Chanel No. 5 is a concentrated of absolute femininity that shook the world of fragrances forever

Women Experienced And Governed By Indonesian Islamic...
1. AIMS AND QUESTIONS The question of this research is how women experienced and
governed by Indonesian Islamic Inheritance Law, especially on the term Kalalah where the
absence of male children became a significant issue. This issue was derived from the different
interpretation on Al Qur an 4:12 and 4:176 : And for you is half of what your wives leave if they
have no child. But if they have a child, for you is one fourth of what they leave, after any
bequest they [may have] made or debt. And for the wives is one fourth if you leave no child. But
if you leave a child, then for them is an eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may
have] made or debt. And if a man or woman leaves neither ascendants nor descendants but has a
brother or a sister, then for each one of them is a sixth. But if they are more than two, they share
a third, after any bequest which was made or debt, as long as there is no detriment [caused].
[This is] an ordinance from Allah, and Allah is Knowing and Forbearing. They request from you
a [legal] ruling. Say, Allah gives you a ruling concerning one having neither descendants nor
ascendants [as heirs]. If a man dies, leaving no child but [only] a sister, she will have half of
what he left. And he inherits from her if she [dies and] has no child. But if there are two sisters
[or more], they will have two thirds of what he left. If there are both brothers and sisters, the male
will have the share of two females. Allah makes clear to you

Prejudice is a risky act that disables one s ability to distinguish the truth. True love arises when one eliminates the pride and prejudice. Throughout the novel, it was rare to pinpoint a couple, who married out of true love. Both males and females were in a constant suppression by the societal standards. The rare exception is Elizabeth and Darcy. Initially, neither of Elizabeth nor Darcy were moral. As the story progressed, they gradually dismissed one s ill habits pride and prejudice. In case of Elizabeth, she experienced a life changing moment, going inside out. At the ball, Elizabeth had a one dimensional judgment. Her interaction with Darcy was highly dependent on prejudice. It became furthermore intense as George Wickham s ill rumours supported her poor judgment skills. She was not able to be filter the information she percieved through Wickham in a deeper level. She only relied on the external elements, such as what she heard and saw. Darcy, on the other hand, was drowned in arrogance, and also believed in the reliability of prejudice. At their first meeting Darcy bluntly commented on Elizabeth s appearance.``She is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me; (Austen 13). Using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing ( Ofdm ) Abstract multiple carriers are simultaneously modulated using Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) which is a transmission technique. Since the OFDM based system has high spectral efficiency and is robust against intersymbol interference and frequency selective fading channels. The major problem of this system is high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of transmitted signal which causes distortion of signal. At the Receiver, to reduce PAPR in removing weight with no distortion PAPR reducing scheme which is based on a weighted OFDM signal is proposed. In this scheme, on each discrete OFDM signal through a certain kind of a signal which is band limited a weight is imposed. before a high power amplifier (HPA), an OFDM signal which is formed with the weighted discrete data is then considered, at the receiver side the original signal can be collected completely. Meanwhile, to transmit the weighted OFDM signal the required time duration is same as the original OFDM signal s time duration. Computer simulations will evaluate the effectiveness of the scheme which is proposed now. From the numerical results it is observed that , the weighted OFDM signal has bit error rate (BER) performance that is improved when compared with the C F method and has PAPR smaller than the clipping and filtering (C F) method. Social Relationships Within The Media Industry Essay The way advertisers from the 1960s onwards responded to the causes of demassification of consumers began when the media industry was restructuring itself into smaller independent operating entities. The shift during this time formed large operating industry s into smaller lines of production meant that advertisers would have to change their focus from a mass audience into smaller groups of well targeted consumers. Leiss, Kline, Jhally, and Botterill refer to this process of identifying smaller target markets as one of demassification (309). Fletcher suggests, over the past four decades, this has led to a more diverse representation within advertisingas different groups have been identified as disposable income (129). Therefore, the process of demassification has uniquely caused social relationships within the consumer cultureduring the 1960s onwards. The 1960s marked a shift of consumer culture that became the process of demassifying , ... as social relations rooted in class, family and work were challenged by the fashioning of individual lifestyles in the expanded domain of consumer culture (Leiss et al. 295) Demassification during that particular time was increasing ad costs, but it also made advertisers look at what they get for their media expenditures. It is putting one s own self interest ahead while damaging another person (Merriam Webster Dictionary). To be greedy can include anything from fame, money, status, power, and influence. Although greed has a negative connotation, there is a positive aspect to it. An example would be self interest. In one s perspective, they can view self interest as a bad thing; on the other hand, a person can view self interest as something good. Gordon Gekko made two speeches describing that greed is good and that it is not good. The endless debate of whether greed is good or bad forces people to evaluate to what end does greed take part in the Gilded Age and the Industrial Revolution. It makes people take in the perspective of the relationship between greed, technology, risk taking, and the desire to get ahead. In a way, greed served as the central component of the Gilded Age and the Industrial Revolution. • 29. Cause And Effect Essay On Drivers Driving Automobile accidents are a leading cause of death in the United States today. A high percentage of these accidents are caused by elderly drivers who are not fit to drive. Health issues, lack of knowledge of new driving laws, or the development of bad driving habits are some factors that contribute to this issue. However, not all older drivers are dangerous behind the wheel. Actually, many are safer drivers than their younger counterparts. They are more cautious, adapt to weather conditions better, and tend to be less distracted behind the wheel. But the government should not ignore the elderly drivers who have killed others while behind the wheel due to age related issues. Licensed drivers over the age of 65 should be required to retake their driving test every year due to health issues that come with age, updated driving laws, and bad driving habits that develop over time. Health issues that come with age can heavily affect a driver s ability to control an automobile safely. Dementia, strokes, and impaired vision are just a few examples of many health issues that cause some senior drivers to be unfit to drive. Dementia affects its victims by severely decreasing thinking skills and causing memory loss. When a stroke occurs, blood flow is cut off from the brain, which eliminates the driver s ability to control their vehicle. The chance of a stroke increases tremendously with age. The most well known 19th century choreographer, Marius Petipa, became the balletmaster of the entire school, shaping imperial and classical ballet. Ideas such as increased focus on technique, formulaic choreography, mime and gesture, and lengthy ballets can be seen in Petipa s most famous ballets. These famous ballets include The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Swan Lake. In the 20th century, Sergei Diaghilevintroduced a traveling ballet company called Ballet Russes. Starting out in Paris, this company brings together Russian and Western ideas with a spark of modernism. This company brought together revolutionary collaborations between choreographers, dancers, composers, artists, and fashion designers. Through the development of Russian ballet, there has been rejection and embracement as well as changes in structure and choreography. Ballet master Marius Petipa moved to Russia because he felt hidden in the shadows of his more famous brother Lucien Petipa. • 45. Visit To Hawaii There is always one place someone wants to go visit from hearing about it from a friend or seeing pictures online. The place I want to visit over any place in the entire world is Hawaii because of all the tropical foods, sunny beaches and so many activities to do. Such as, hiking to a waterfall and jumping in or going on a tour around the island in a helicopter. One reason I want to visit Hawaii is because the beaches look amazing, and the beaches have so many things to do. If I went I would go to the beaches on the bay first, to practice surfing and play games on the beach. I would play wiffle ball, ultimate Frisbee and pass a football around, or lacrosse ball. Wiffle ball is a lot of fun because I hit the ball to the ground a lot, so I dive to get the base. Ultimate frisbee is hard to play on the beach because of the wind, so I dive to catch almost every throw. After a couple of days I d switch to the ocean side of Hawaii to go body boarding, boogie boarding, and surfing. Boogie boarding is more fun with bigger waves because I get to ride the wave for a longer time. Bodyboarding is tough for me to catch a wave, but is amazing once I finally catch one. Surfing is a little tricky to stand up and is much easier for me to stay up once I get the hang of it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
