Comment: I read this book and finished it in 3 weeks, short and fast for someone like me who
doesn t like to read. But I found this book very interesting; I usually read mystery books with
crimes and investigation because I like searching into the unknown. I found this book very
interesting because it was a crime and investigation novel, not only that. It opened up more
Chinese knowledge for me. I learnt a bit more about Chinese traditions and their beliefs and
through this book I could say that it was funny and suspending at the same time. I loved the plot
as well; especially the part where in the end we find out that the survivor who got shot in the chest
was actually the whole mastermind behind the crime was not foreseeable. It came totally out of
the blue for me, it wasn t one of those read the beginning of the book and then you could guess the
rest of the story type, it kept me guessing the whole way through the story. So I really enjoyed this

Practical Example of Theory My family happens to be deeply religious, conservative and often
closed minded about certain aspects of life. In other words, everything that they tend to support and

In 1866, many people had dreams to make fortunes from the gold rushes around the world. The
main character in The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton follows this same dream. The story follows
Walter Moody on his adventure at a place called Hokitika with a common dream; to become a rich
gold miner. Upon his arrival, he is immediately introduced to an investigation of a mysterious
crime. With this knowledge, Moody has to follow the speculated ideas of the town members to try

Through the investigation of the changes occurring from the first European presence in the Muslim
world to the end of the Ottoman Empire, this essay attempts to answer why the Armenian
genocide occurred. The Ottoman Empire started its decline when Napoleon entered Egypt in
1798. Napoleon brought along with him armies but also a new culture. The British did the same
with Moghul India. The elite and people in positions of power were impressed by what the
Europeans and the Americans were doing and seeing how powerful and successful they were. The
Turks in the Ottoman Empire wanted the same. The Young Turks overthrew the Sultan of the time
and started a reform of the Ottoman Empire to try to salvage it. The Young Turks also believed
that all people regardless of religion or ethnicity deserved the same rights.
The Armenians were one of the ethnicities that were in the minority. They obtained more rights
when the policy was put in place. Before the Armenians received their right they were rebelling
against the Ottomans. This was frightening to the majority. Massacres of the minorities, especially
the Armenians started well before 1915, but the killings progressed in 1915. Many of the

In 1995 the Australian Society of CPAs initiated a major survey on ABC amongst Australian
manufacturers. This survey, which was conducted by the University of Technology, Sydney,
involved 213 firms covering all aspects of Australian manufacturing (Corrigan, 1996; Wood,
1996). This survey showed that 45 per cent of the surveyed firms had never considered adopting
ABC (although 88 per cent of those surveyed acknowledged awareness of activity based costing),
29 per cent were still in the process of considering adopting it, 14 per cent had considered and
rejected it and only 12 per cent of the firms surveyed had actually implemented it. The highest
adoption rates of ABC were found amongst the food, beverage and tobacco industry with 25 per
cent of this group using this method.
Of those companies which had adopted ABC most had implemented it within one to two years after
making their decision to adopt it and the majority of these companies believed that they had
achieved five goals: more accurate product costing; better cost management; better cost control;
better allocation of overheads; and more accurate cost information.
