Why Should Military Be Mandatory
Military Service: Should It Be Mandatory? Fighting for the homeland means fighting for freedom, but
how can men defend their country against enemies if they lack of the ability to fight? Conscription is
strategy that utilized by nations to assemble a large and powerful military, prepared to be deployed in
times of war or when the need to ensure the power of the state emerges. Mostly, conscription is for
male and in some cases and some countries have also for women, and usually begins as soon as the
end of the study; at the age, 18 years old. It consists of basic training and serve for two to three years
maximum. Countries depend on their soldiers to protect and defend them, and that is the reason why
various countries have compulsory service, such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most people maintain that serving the community should be voluntary, and each individual has the
absolute freedom to join or not to join the military service. However, it is argued that military service
builds individual personality and improves his skills in combat and defense, so there is no rational
reason not to make conscription mandatory. A person s character changed for the better during his
service in the military. To begin with, mandatory service teaches the person self discipline. Michael
Anthony, an author who served in US army, writes in his article, What the Military Teaches About Self
Discipline, that discipline must be ground into conscript. He needs to gain physical strength,
perseverance, knowledge, and courage, n.d. When an individual joins the military service, he forces to
do more than he thinks he can; he learns to obey commands and commits to important values, such as
learning how to be punctual in time. Daily workouts, meals, and sleep have specific time in the
military service

The Tragedy Of Mary Todd Lincoln
Research Question: Considering the events of her life, would it be more realistic to consider that Mary
Todd Lincoln went insane/ diagnosable to today s standards of being bipolar, or was she just in a state
of post traumatic stress?
Considering the events of her life, would it be more realistic to consider that Mary Todd Lincoln went
insane/ diagnosable to today s standards of being bipolar, or was she just in a state of post traumatic
stress? From the deaths of her 14 month old brother and mother during childhood, to the neglect she
faced from her son later in life, it was clear that Mary Todd Lincoln certainly dealt with a considerable
amount of stressors in her lifetime. Throughout this study, journal articles, websites, primary sources,
and books were used to provide more insight on the details of her life and what she went through.
Mary Todd Lincoln: A Biography, by Jean Harvey Baker, a U.S. History major with her B.A., M.A.,
and Ph.D in 19th Century Women s History, describes that Mary Todd Lincoln was much maligned
and misunderstood during her lifetime and furthers the developing question as to whether or not she
could be deemed insane. Baker discusses that Mary Lincoln appeared to others as unwomanly, due to
her inclinations to want to share her talents with her husband throughout his political career. Other
claims of her insanity are said to have branched from the torments and misfortunes of those losses she
had to endure in her life beginning at such a young

La Belle Dame Sans Merci Poem Analysis
Love can exist as affection, infatuation, obsession, pleasure and many more, this is because, love is
abstract, hence there is no one single interpretation of love. Love is a theme that has been embedded
into language and literature for centuries and centuries, yet due to the ever changing perception of love
people these days continues to search for a universal definition of love. Poems are able to showcase
the inner feelings and desires of a poet as well as their own unique views on love. Nevertheless,
through poems La Belle Dame sans Merci by John Keats, My Last Duchess by Robert Browning, and
Mother in a Refugee Camp by Chinua Achebe, we can explore how and why different poets present
the theme of love differently.

Before the death of the poem s protagonist, she tells her lover, Better by far you should forget and
smile Than that you should remember and be sad. The parallelism signifies the woman s
compassionate attitudes towards the male counterpart of the relationship. Even though she is going to
leave him, she does not want him to reminisce the depressed feelings of her death. Instead she hopes
that the man could move on from her and live a happy life even without her presence. An enjambment
is also used in the two lines to signify that the woman s love for the man is continuous, her love for
him will never decline even after her death. Based on the depiction of the woman s considerate
manners to her lover, Remember can be seen presenting romantic love in a positive

As the old adage goes a picture is worth a thousand words . Often for investigating officers, eye
witness testimony and what is seen, is heavily relied on in order to prosecute crimes (Wells and Olsen,
2003). As such eye witness testimony and memory has become one of the most researched areas in

as the focus is behaviour relating to criminal and civil investigations whether it be interviews, decision
making or expert evidence to name just a few ( wileyCDA, n.d.). It is therefore of importance to have
relevant and contemporary research to ensure that the criminal justice system conducts itself in a
balanced and impartial way. After all in the English and Welsh judiciary system the accused is
innocent until proven guilty. Using the most appropriate techniques that have empirical research to
support its use will ensure that justice is carried out correctly. The authors set out to investigate what,
if any, conditions would make the accuracy of aural recall more reliable on not only adults, but
children also, since children from a young age can provide a testimony. For instance, in relation to
child abuse cases, as such cases could occur at night in the dark, therefore the child s earwitness
testimony would be of importance as they would not be able to see to confirm who it was. Öhman et al
(2013) investigated the effects of time delay (immediate or 2 weeks), tone of voice (normal or angry)
and type of interview (global questions or scale ratings) in two separate age groups (11 13 or adults).
It would be virtually impossible to conduct a study on every possible effect on earwitness testimony in

Safety Of Amalgam ( Silver Fillings )
Name: Jafar Al salem

Safety of Amalgam Fillings
What is Dental Amalgam (Silver Fillings)? Most people recognize dental amalgams as silver fillings.
Dental amalgam is a mixture of mercury, silver, tin and copper. Mercury, which makes up about 50
percent of the compound, is used to bind the metals together and to provide a strong, hard, durable
filling. After years of research, mercury has been found to be the only element that will bind these
metals together in such a way that can be easily manipulated into a tooth cavity. Is mercury in dental
amalgam safe? Mercury in dental amalgam is not poisonous. When mercury is combined with other
materials in dental amalgam, its chemical nature changes, so it is essentially harmless. The amount of
mercury released in the mouth under the pressure of chewing and grinding is extremely small and no
cause for alarm. In fact, the amount is less than what patients are exposed to in food, air and water.
Ongoing scientific studies conducted over the past 100 years continue to prove that amalgam is not
harmful. Claims of diseases caused by mercury in amalgam are anecdotal, as are claims of miraculous
cures achieved by removing amalgam. These claims have not been proven scientifically. Why do
dentists use dental amalgam? Dental amalgam has withstood the test of time, which is why it is the
material of choice. It has a 150 year proven track record and is still one of the safest, most durable and
least expensive

The Dumbest Generation The Dumbest Generation
A few years ago, I decided to learn sign language. It was not a project for a class, a requirement to
graduate, or a fact that everyone knew. I just wanted to learn sign language, so I did what many twenty
first century millennials do and downloaded an app. The app showed me diagrams to learn basic
phrases, videos to perfect the movements, and lessons to learn more efficiently. The technology of the
app made learning sign language easy, and I could use it wherever I went. I thought that I was smart
for using technology to learn specific things, but Mark Bauerlein, the author of a 2008 book called
The Dumbest Generation, would disagree. According to Bauerlein, twenty first century teenagers
possess low knowledge levels when compared to past generations because of the increased use of
technology. However, Bauerlein is mistaken. This generation is not the dumbest generation because
we focus on different topics, we write more often, and we know that every generation has been called
the dumbest . Every generation is different, and the information that is commonly learned in each
generation is affected by the events surrounding that time period. As stated in The Dumbest
Generation? Don t Be Dumb article written by Sharon Begley, the reason why people cared more
about politics in 1966 than now was because politics determined whether or not you were going to get
drafted and shipped to Vietnam . Today, teenagers do not care as much about politics because,

The History Of Human Language
The history of human language is long, complicated and somewhat controversial. Even the definitions
of the word language are varied slightly. The Merriam Webster dictionary states, Language is the
system of words or signs that people use to express thoughts and feelings to each other: and one of the
systems of human language that are used and understood by a particular group of people: words of a
particular kind . Additionally, the American Heritage Dictionary defines language as, a communication
of thoughts and feelings through a system of arbitrary signals, such as voice sounds, gestures, or
written symbols . Between these two definitions of language we can see how complicated the history
of human language actually is. The definitions vary based on the assumptions of whether the writer
believes language is more learned or instinctive behavior. The debates on the origin of language are
still going on today. There are two basic views represented in the definitions of language. The first
view is based on language being primarily a mental faculty of humans to learn languages and the
biological differences that are unique to the human brain. The second view is concentrated around the
idea that learning a language is natural. While other views are more centered on the structured
learning of formal signs.

What Is The Simplified Workflow For Nucidic Acid Isolation...
3.3.8. Simplified Workflow for Nucleic Acid Isolation from Captured Cells An important aspect for
cell capture devices is the ability to easily access cells and nucleic acids for downstream analysis (e.g.
clonal expansion, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), gene expression, and sequencing) to
determine the type of primary tumor and monitor disease progression [130, 131]. Microfluidic cell
capture approaches are typically formed by permanently bonding the channel network to the capture
surface, and access to the captured cells and nucleic acids is only possible by flowing fluid through the
channel. With the magnetic latching used in SEAM, the channel and the surface can be quickly
decoupled to provide open access to the captured ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(b) Cell lysis with direct transfer of captured cells from nanotextured PDMS surface into lysis buffer.
(c) Comparison of nucleic acid extraction efficiency using the two methods. The data is normalized to
the amount of nucleic acid directly extracted from a cell suspension. (*p value 0.05; n = 5). Results
showed that approximately twice as much nucleic acid was extracted from the direct transfer method
(1523 ± 225.9 ng, A260/280 = 2.03 ± 0.02) compared to in channel lysis (647 ± 5.7 ng, A260/280 =
1.99 ± 0.08) with statistically significant differences (n = 5, p value 0.05). For the normalization of
data in Figure 3.10(c) the number of cells equivalent to the initial cell seeding density was pipetted
directly from cell suspension into lysis buffer. The data are presented as the extraction efficiency with
respect to the control. The extraction efficiency of direct transfer and in channel method was 80% and
35%, respectively. The purity of the extracted nucleic acid between the methods was comparable, but
the direct transfer method was simple to implement and did not require sample handling or fluid
manipulation. The straight channel used here represented a conservative extraction because more
complicated branched networks can lead to sample losses from dead volumes, external tubing, and
large surface area to volume ratios microfluidic channels. The open cell access enabled by SEAM
simplified the experimental workflow for cell processing required for

Matcha Green Tea Speech
Let us be completely frank with each other here and make a confession: any liquid that is green in
color is disgusting. We want to lose weight; we want to be healthy; and then we are recommended to
drink some juice or another, and they are mostly, if not all, green. That is when we start to consider
our life choices and wonder if losing weight or avoiding cancer is even worth it for us to ingest green
juice. Like, we could be drinking chocolate milkshakes and we re drinking green juice? Come on!
Still, everybody wants to lose weight, everybody wants to die peacefully and not of cancer, so what do
we do?
The answer is: Matcha green tea.
Now, you re probably thinking: Oh, it s another green tea. How generic. What can be so special about
another green tea? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yes, it is green; it is tea, but it is so much more than that. Once you have a taste of it, you will be
wishing that you could drink matcha green tea for the rest of your life. Here is a list of matcha green
tea s awesome qualities:
1. Cancer, go away
Never accuse us of giving you false facts just to convince you that matcha green tea really works.
According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), it has been researched that consuming green tea can
lessen the risk of getting cancer. It is scientifically proven in specific cancers like bladder cancer,
breast cancer, colon and rectal cancers, and prostate cancer.
Matcha green tea contains catechins that are so strong that there is a huge chance that you will go the
rest of your life cancer free. Matcha green tea is even a potential top natural cancer treatment
alternative in the world.
2. Lose the fat
Imagine the money you can save if you can lose weight by drinking matcha green tea, and not one of
those weight loss shakes you buy in a shady store at the corner of the street. Imagine the pleasure of
getting to slim down while getting to drink something as delicious as matcha green

Physics Of Diagnostic Ultrasound
The Physics of Diagnostic Ultrasound
Introduction
Diagnostic ultrasound is one of the most common forms of medical imaging in use today. When
people think of ultrasound images or sonograms as they are also referred to, they may recall grainy
black and white images that are similar to x rays. However, with the exception of perhaps developing
fetuses, most have very limited knowledge of what they are actually looking at, let alone how those
images are created. Many people are aware that sound waves are used to produce images but have no
clue how the process works or the tremendous amount of physics involved. There are numerous
physics concepts involved in ultrasound imaging. Including, but not limited to, velocity, frequency,
and wavelength. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our ears convert sound waves into audible sounds for us to process. The sound waves used in medical
sonography must be generated by the machine itself to create the vibrations that travel through body
tissues and ultimately enable medical professionals to see images of the inside of our bodies. Vaguely
similar to humans who process the sounds we hear and can picture the source in our minds if we are
unable to see it directly, medical professionals use ultrasound to create images in order to visualize
internal structures. Using this method of imaging, physicians are able to identify and visualize
abnormalities and potential disease or confirm that we are healthy, or whether a fetus is developing
normally. While most people associate ultrasound imaging with pregnant women, they are also used as
a diagnostic tool in many other areas of medicine. For example, in addition to obstetrics, ultrasound is
used in cardiology as well. Cardiologists use this technology to see inside the heart and identify any
abnormalities, and they also use ultrasound imaging to measure blood flow through the heart and
major arteries. Additionally, urologists use ultrasound imaging to visualize kidney stones or detect
prostate cancer. Gynecologists also use ultrasound to detect any abnormalities in a woman s
reproductive system. Today, ultrasound imaging is utilized in nearly every area of

Sorority Chapters Hazing
To some fraternity and sorority chapters hazing may be a way of group bonding and teaching respect,
it is not indispensable. Hazing has been going on for quite amount of time, and banning organization
who haze will make other chapters want to inflict pain and humiliation to their own pledges. Not only
does is lead to a physical and mental breakdown path, but it also weakens the students and strips them
of their power. Studies have shown that there are in fact fraternity and sorority chapters who believe
that hazing is unnecessary, degrading and view it as juvenile, do not haze their members and perform
true Greek rituals. Those chapters reported to become popular on campuses and did not see a loss in

Disadvantages Of Biomedical Engineering
The human body is made up of a series of organs, each one serving its own unique and irreplaceable
purpose within a system. For the most part these organs function to the fullest of their abilities;
however, sometimes things go wrong, and organs, for whatever reason, stop working. When a vital
organ fails it begins a decline in all other organs and can eventually lead to complete organ failure.
This is because when an organ fails, there is nothing else able to imitate its unique structure and
function. In the face of this, scientists and medical specialists alike have begun to develop methods to
alleviate the consequences of organ failure. Some of these methods result from medicine, geneticists,
and mechanics, but truly, the most prospective of all the methods is via biomedical engineering.
Within biomedical engineering, through a method called Bioprinting, scientists can now create new
organs out of the patient s own cells, and have been doing so since 1999 (11). It works like this. First
you start with a blueprint outlining the desired structure of the organ(22). Then you move onto the 3d
printing machine, such as a Regonovo capable of running the inkjet sub method of 3d printing(15).
This type of 3d printing is designed to build the desired object, or in this case organ, by laying down
the material layer by layer and allowing it to fuse together along the way, allowing it to maintain
structural integrity. Within a bioprinter there is bioink, which is a cell filled

Let s now look a bit closely to the selected alternative. There are a number of challenges surrounding
this alternative, the biggest of which may be the widening of the focus area for the company and
spreading of the valuable management resources. It is, however, expected that the Company will
overcome such challenges through use of Anthony and Margaret s level of experience in the field and
their willingness to hire knowledgeable staff when necessary, as evidenced in the case study material.
Another significant concern in adopting this alternative is the apparent cost involved in a combination
strategy. It is proposed to tackle this concern in multiple ways as under: * Though the number of Boot

development. * It is proposed improve and fasten the development process thro use of not only the
modern techniques and design practices but by putting one or more carefully selected and focused
cross functional teams having leadership and co ordination skills and dedicated to design creativity,
simplicity and speed . * It is proposed to employ the Concurrent Engineering Techniques where the
development teams will work in parallel rather than in sequence to achieve faster, better and more
economical results. * Lastly, the company appears able to borrow sufficient funds to develop,
manufacture and market additional designs.

My Class Of Third Grade Children
CHILD FACTORS Goal Perception For my class of third grade children I believe that their ability of

Sense of Autonomy and Autonomy Regulation I can predict a variety of levels in respect to a Sense of
Autonomy and Autonomy Regulation for my students. For the eight children with the potential of
being compliant and well behaved in my classroom are more likely to have a healthy sense of
autonomy and accept the power sharing needed to accomplish the goal. We will also have the ideal
relationship for mutual regulation, with little effort. For the majority of the children, they will have a
less sense of healthy autonomy. These children will connive for equal power shared between him/her
and myself. Time will be wasted here and more effort will be needed to achieve a zero sum game.
Lastly, the group of children with behavioral issues will most likely have an unhealthy sense of
autonomy and I will fail to accomplish my goals with them. I can estimate that power demands will be
high for this group of children in respect to a sense of autonomy and autonomy regulation.
Self Regulation and Conscience The age of the children in my third grade classroom varies from
young eight year olds to upper ten year old children. Based off of their ages I can estimate that the
older ones will have a more developmentally advanced form of self regulation. My older students will
have the ability to regulate their fine and

Causes Of Job Stress
The Risks of Job Stress
According to the American Institute of Stress, stress is impossible to measure. What may be stressful
for one person may not be stressful to another. There is good stress, which is also known as eustress,
and that is a good feeling we get when something good, new, and exciting is happening. Then there is
the not so good stress which only turns bad if it becomes chronic stress. The reason chronic stress is so
worrisome is because we are not naturally made to deal with it for long periods of time, and eventually
it will start to show symptoms either through your body or your mental stability. The main causes of
stress in the United States is job pressure, and 77% of people regularly experience physical symptoms
of stress (American Institute of Stress.) while 73% of people regularly experience psychological
symptoms caused by stress. (American Institute of Stress.) If you are looking for a reason to quit that
job that makes you miserable then look no further. Other than making you miserable, staying at a job
you hate can have a great deal of other side effects. There are links connecting job stress and
metabolic syndrome, as well as links connecting job stress to psychological disorders and weight gain.
Some people must take whatever they can get when it comes to jobs, however staying at a job one
hates could be detrimental to said persons health.

Similarities And Differences Between Socialism And Socialism
Socialism
Socialism is a economic and political system in which the means of production operate under public
political ownership, sometimes called common ownership. Common ownership under socialism may
take shape through technocratic, oligarchic, totalitarian, democratic or even voluntary rule. All legal
production and distribution decisions are made by the ruling class.
Historical examples of socialist countries include the Nazi Germany and Soviet Union. Today s
examples include Venezuela, Cuba and China. Due to its practical challenges and poor track record,
socialism is sometimes referred to as a utopian or post scarcity system, although modern adherents
believe it could work if properly implemented.
A slogan for socialism is from each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The government should not interfere in the economies of the free market, meaning, the market
determines investments, production, distribution and decisions, and government interference is only
allowed when making and enforcing rules or policies governing the conduct of business. There is a
need for continual production and purchase for a capitalistic economy to operate efficiently, and
Capitalists believe that government does not use economic resources as efficiently as private
enterprise.
Differences between Capitalism and Socialism

How would you feel about jumping off a 50 foot cliff?scared?brave?Or excited?Vinny and Joe boy are
both characters in a story called The Ravine .They are best friends who live in Hawaii and go to a
ravine to cliff jump and swim.there was a boy who died two weeks and one day before they arrived.
Joe boy and vinny are different in many ways and they are similar in some ways.
One characteristic of Vinny is that he is scared. On Pg 7 Vinny was scared of getting caught going to
the Ravine by his mom. She told him to stay away from the Ravine. He goes anyway, but is scared of
getting caught. Another characteristic of Vinny is that he is weak. On page seven, Vinny says, He was
so weak, he couldn t even say no . But if I said no, my mother wouldn t like it they would have
laughed him right off the island. No choice. He had to go. This quote from VInny shows that he is
weak because he can t stand up to his friends. Vinny is also afraid of heights. On pg 7, Vinny says, He
couldn t imagine what it must feel like to be up there, especially if you were afraid of heights like he

Essay about Capitalism in Marx and Weber
The Concept Of Capitalism In Marx And Weber; What Is The Contemporary Relevance Of Their
Ideas?
Introduction:
At the later nineteenth century many social and economical ideas were developed because of the past
revolutions and the present conflict of individuals and organised assemblies. Capitalism, one of these
ideas, leads bourgeoisie to dream of a capitalist society in order to advance their maintain lifestyle and
gain wealth. This economic system which is dominated by private business and the principles of
production are for profit works in side of the bourgeoisies. The employees, working to these
businesses, carry out the production but don t own it. They produce «commodities» as they are called

The ruling class increased at the expense of the subject class and a conflict of interest developed
between them. This can be demonstrated by Marx s view of the nature of ownership and production in
capitalist societies. According to Marx, in a capitalist economy, goods are the labour power; raw
materials and machinery used to produce them are given an economic value. The employer buys
labour power, Marx says: more accurately, I think, he buys the right to use the worker s powers for a
day . Also, he argued that capital was owned by the capitalist class which produced nothing and
gained its wealth from the exploitation of the mass of the population the labour.
Those who produced lost the control of the product of their labour and the process of production
(Marx). Marx developed the theory of alienation since he believed that workers through capitalism
were alienated. According to this, things that naturally belong together are separated and because of
some forces are not in harmony. In his writings he mostly referred to the alienation of people from
aspects of their human nature . His theory is based upon his observation that under capitalism in rising
industrial production, workers unavoidably lose control of their lives and selves because they can t
control their work. Consequently, workers never become autonomous. Alienation exists in capitalism
societies because in work each provides common wealth, but can only express this

Why Does The A-League Need To Invest In Advertising
The A League needs to invest in advertising
Football s popularity has increased within the space of 10 years and it is now a dominant force within
our sporting landscape.
We are now regularly seeing crowds of 40K turn up for Melbourne and Sydney derbies and the
increase in mainstream popularity has certainly contributed to this. However, one aspect I believe the
A League could potentially improve on, is the external advertising of its matches and finals series.
In comparison to rival codes, the NRL and AFL, there is a significantly lower amount of advertising in
regards to local derbies, A League matches and the finals series.
Television commercials promoting upcoming NRL and AFL matches are quite common in their
respective markets and there s no denying that crowd attendances for upcoming matches are
contributed to by these ads.
However, I have not seen any television commercials promoting ... Show more content on

The Barclays Premier League heavily invest in promoting upcoming matches, local derbies and the
overall code. It earns millions of pounds from advertising and promoting it s brand across several
platforms. While I understand that the A League definitely isn t at the same level as the Premier

almost everything, especially in the world s architecture. Greece no longer had one king, so they
focused on building temples for their gods. Architecture began small and plain but evolved into
impressive pieces of art. As time passed from the Archaic period to the Hellenistic period, the people
of Greece developed a type of formula for their buildings and their pieces of art. In Ancient Greece,
religion dominated their life, so it is understandable that their architecture would be dominated by

a temple only has a row of columns on the front and has end walls, it is called in antis. If the temple

back portico with columns, it is called amphiprostyle. The most famous Greek temples would be
considered to be peripteral, meaning that it has columns all the way around the building. The Greeks
had a certain formula on how many columns would go on each side of a peripertal temple. They
would take the number of columns in the front portico and multiply it by two and add one. If your
temple was hexastyle and peripertal, than there would be thirteen columns on each side ( 6+6+1= 13).
The Greeks had developed a type of formula when it came to the construction of a temple. There is not
a major difference in architecture between the Archaic period and the Classical period. During the
Archaic period they began to use stone instead of wood. Some of the most preserved remains

Environmental Assessment Of Wastewater Drains
Environmental Assessment of Wastewater Drains Outfalls Points into River Mouri at Khulna: An
Application of GIS S. Hasan , K. M. Hassan and S. K. Sarkar Abstract Rivers are the blessing on earth
as they serve humans with ample fresh water supply. The purpose of the present study focuses on the
combination of the GIS mapping, to indicate the status of pollution status in the sketch of River
Mouri, downstream to the wastewater outfalls. The GIS mapping of the eleven wastewater study
parameters reveals that the high concentrations of BOD5, COD, DO, Color, Turbidity, TDS and TSS
exceeding the permissible limits is present throughout the study portion of the river. In addition, it
highlighted the portions where only few parameters such as PH, Chloride, Nitrate and Sulphate are
deteriorating the riverine ecosystem. The GIS application in pollutant load assessment of the study
further indicates that although few pollutants, discharged into river are relatively low in concentrations
at one wastewater outfall point as compared to other but may have high pollutant load that may leads
to significantly higher ecological impacts. The possible application of this study is for the decision
makers to introduce optimum treatment engineering controls at points of interests, prior to its disposal
into River Mouri to prevent the ecological damages and protect human health. Keywords: gis

The Importance Of Religion In Islam
Until what point can faith and beliefs dictate what is right or wrong? Practicing a religion can provide
emotional well being, happiness and guiding; however, in some cases religion can have a negative
effect in a society because it can be used to justify violence or social inequalities. One of the most
controversial religion is the Islam because it has many interpretations that can lead to power abuse and
manipulation for personal interests. Moreover, Saudi Arabia is considered the birthplace of Islam,
where Muslims practice what is known as Wahhabi Islam, which is also highly controversial and
criticized by western cultures because of its extreme regime and promotion of violence. The kingdom
of Saudi Arabia is the most conservative Muslim country in the world, and it is mired in 13th century
ideals. (video) Now, the kingdom is going through a transition state, which has trapped the country in
a conflict between cultural development and religion ancestral traditions, which has specially affect
women in many aspects.
In Saudi Arabia the monarchy uses the Quran as the constitution and seeks guidance from religious
clerics when passing new laws, (video) which has driven the country to cope with a growing struggle
between the monarchs and the religious clerics. Gender segregation is demanded by the Islamic laws
in Saudi Arabia, and the country has a system of women full exclusion. Therefore, all the business,

God s Foolishness Is Better Than Human Wisdom
For God s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God s weakness is stronger than human
strength. Consider your own call, brothers and sisters: not many of you were wise by human
standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in
the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose
what is low and despised in the world, things that are not, to reduce to nothing things that are, so that
no one might boast in the presence of God. He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, who became
for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption, in order that, as it is
written, Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:25 31 Because the foolishness of
God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.Christ on the cross appeared to
be weakness in the eyes of people; but that weakness of God was stronger than men and everything
that men could produce. [22] The sign seeking Jews could not comprehend the mighty sign of the

Individualism in China
Individualism the lack of it or the excess of it has often been considered a major problem in the
modernization of China. In the early decades of this century reformers championed individualism in
opposition to traditional authority in both thought and social life, and especially in opposition to the
Confucian family system. Others contended that what thwarted China s modernization was not the
absence of individualism but rather a surplus of it. The common term for individualism in modern
East Asia (in Chinese ge ren zhu i) represents a Western idea, and implies that no such ism exsited in
traditional thought. Thus it symbolizes the challenge of a new idea to traditional values and suggests
the advocacy of change. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though it has a positive aspect in affirming the individual s freedom from society and his own
transcendent value, from the standpoint of society this has no effect on the status of other individuals.
It makes no positive claim within society. (Etienne Balaza) By contrast, there is a more affirmative
and socially defined individualism which seeks to establish the place of the individual or self in
relation to others, to secure his status in some institutional framework. Confucianism attempts this in
relation to the family and state. However, Confucianism made a bad bargain for the individual. He was
made to sacrifice more to the group than he got in return. It remains true that the Confuican almost
alone in traditional China concerned himself with defining and establishing some positive role for the
individual in society. It was by virtue of this active social and political endeavor that Confucianism
became a vehicle for the growth of a new humanism and individualism in Neo Confucianism. At the
same time, the question of the relation between this new trendcies deriving from Buddhism and
Taoism remains a real one throughout this period. This is because none of these systems falls wholly
within one or the other of our categories. The Confucian conception of the self is not without a
metaphysical aspect, nor the Buddhist and Taoist wholly without some social orientation. All three

Histamines are present in all animal tissues and are found in many body tissues but it is stored in mast

messengers that control a range of cellular responses. These responses include allergic and
inflammatory reactions (by the decarboxylation of histidine) as well as neurotransmission in parts of
the brain. Histamine is also responsible with the dilation of capillaries, contraction of smooth muscles
and stimulation of gastric acid secretion. There are 4 types of histamine receptors (H1, H2, H3 and

Agricultural Literacy In Agriculture
Agriculture is a staple of every community, people have just lost sight of that. Smith and Park (2006)
report, In 1900, 41% of the American population was employed in agriculture, as compared to 1.9% of
the population in 2002 . How have we become so far removed from the agricultural life that we
believe the propaganda spread about it? Smith and Park (2006) explain why ignorance to agricultural
life has thrived,
Agricultural literacy is an issue that has gained attention in recent years and is a subject of concern to
those in the agriculture business. With fewer agricultural programs offered in schools, generations of
young people are being raised with little knowledge of agriculture. As this cycle continues, lack of
knowledge creates and perpetuates stereotypes concerning farming.
The disconnect between the urban public and rural communities has caused a lot of misunderstandings
on how their food is produced. Balschweid, Thompson, and Cole (1998) state,
As general concerns rise over the way our food is produced, public impressions are tainted by the
actions of special interest groups (Lichte Birkenholz, 1993). As a result, many Americans elect and
influence lawmakers to directly intervene in the practices used in producing our food and fiber
(Hamlin,1962). Because this nation is two full generations removed from living and working on
farms, lawmakers cannot be expected to make informed decisions regarding the safe and appropriate

The relationship and interaction between XML and databases
ECET610 UMUC
Abstract
This paper will explore the relationship between XML and databases and the way that they can be
leveraged to provide data exchange on the internet. As XML gains popularity as the format for
exchanging information via the internet and has become the language of choice for use in database
development for Internet use.Introduction
XML is a universal data standard and thereby does not need to be translated for use in different
database systems. This is very important with large corporate data systems. In companies that have
web presence this is a vital concern where some of the data base systems are handled by external
companies that use an entirely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This presents a scalability problem in that when the system contains a few thousand documents the
performance tends to degrade and become a management issue. Synchronization is also a problem
between the non database code and the database. If changes are made to the database structure the
XML pointers need to be updated as well and the system is not very portable.
The XML mapping style of data storage is used by web sites that map user inputs into XML schema
that manages the storage and retrieval of the data as shown in the example Figure 1. This is an
effective method when the existing data is in XML format.
Using XML to simplify processes
The flexibility of XML has made it the standard for the formatting and sharing of data via the web.
XML data is easily transferable across machines and applications and is not constrained by the
operating system of the host machine. This ease of translation enables XML to be transformed into
non XML formats for use with databases and their associated applications.
An XML database is a database that stores the data fields in XML format. This allows for cross
platform transferability and web page presentation. A web application is typically done in three layers

In Cold Blood Father Figure Quotes
The novel In Cold Blood by Truman Capote is a prime example why parent figures are important in
children s life. For example, Perry is the antagonist of the novel, and he did not have a mother figure
due to his mother s alcoholism, and because of his father s absence, he did not have a father figure.
The novel also demonstrates the effect not having a father figure will do to children. Perry, not having
mother figure to give him warmth and the love he deserves, turned into someone who does not have
any sympathy towards anybody and he does not have any remorse towards the pain and suffering he
had inflicted to the clutters family or anybody that would encounter him. When Smith attacked Mr.

Flaws Of The Intellectualist Theory
In the modern era, it is impossible to deny that science and technology have become powerful,
defining forces within contemporary society. Recent technological advances have vastly improved
living standards, and faith in scientific research has provided rational, empirical explanations for the
previously unexplainable. However, it is simultaneously impossible to deny the equal importance of
both religion and magic upon the foundations of human culture.
Yet, as human society has evolved and progressed over the centuries, how has the human relationship
to magic and religion changed? Has faith in the supernatural, or inanimate forces, been replaced by a
faith in technology?

Chipotle Mexican Grill has been trying to recover from their e Coli outbreak in 2015 and planned on
finally escaping the decline in 2017. They planned on doing this by regaining the trust of customers
(Lahart, Justin). Things were looking up for the company as sales were up by 17% and their profits

now the company has begun to once again decline. Although the recent Hurricanes Irma and Harvey

skyrocketing prices of avocados. The price of the fruit is up by 125% since January. Two reasons

situation as negative. These children may have a great experience in foster care, even though there are
a few flawed areas in the system. Their perception of foster care may be very different from the
workers of child protection services and the media s perception (Chapman, Wall, Barth, 2004;

public only knows what the media tells them about the foster care system. The stereotypical views are
mostly what is thought the foster care system consisted of, not what goes on behind the scenes (Leber

Staphylococcus Aureus, Or Mrsa
Methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA is a possibly fatal strain of Staph aureus that is
resistant to many antibiotics. MRSA is unable to be killed by all beta lactam antibiotics. This includes
all penicillin s and cephalosporin s. There are two known type of MRSA. The most common type is
nosocomial MRSA or HA MRSA. Which is a strain found in hospitals, nursing homes, ect. The
second type is community acquired MRSA or CA MRSA. This strain of MRSA infects individuals
who have not been in a hospital setting and are typically quite healthy (Minnesota Department of
Health). With each type there are differences and the ways they are transmitted. When it comes to the
nosocomial MRSA hospitalized patients are at higher risk for becoming infected. Many hospitalized
patients have IVs, catheters, and surgical openings that make them very susceptible to becoming

After all in the English and Welsh judiciary system the accused is innocent until proven guilty. The authors set out to investigate what, if any, conditions would make the accuracy of aural recall more reliable on not only adults, but children also, since children from a young age can provide a testimony. For instance, in relation to child abuse cases, as such cases could occur at night in the dark, therefore the child s earwitness testimony would be of importance as they would not be able to see to confirm who it was. • 8. Safety Of Amalgam ( Silver Fillings ) Name: Jafar Al salem NO:M 011442002 Safety of Amalgam Fillings What is Dental Amalgam (Silver Fillings)? Most people recognize dental amalgams as silver fillings. Dental amalgam is a mixture of mercury, silver, tin and copper. Mercury, which makes up about 50 percent of the compound, is used to bind the metals together and to provide a strong, hard, durable filling. After years of research, mercury has been found to be the only element that will bind these metals together in such a way that can be easily manipulated into a tooth cavity. Is mercury in dental amalgam safe? Mercury in dental amalgam is not poisonous. When mercury is combined with other materials in dental amalgam, its chemical nature changes, so it is essentially harmless. The amount of mercury released in the mouth under the pressure of chewing and grinding is extremely small and no cause for alarm. In fact, the amount is less than what patients are exposed to in food, air and water. Ongoing scientific studies conducted over the past 100 years continue to prove that amalgam is not harmful. Claims of diseases caused by mercury in amalgam are anecdotal, as are claims of miraculous cures achieved by removing amalgam. These claims have not been proven scientifically. Why do dentists use dental amalgam? Dental amalgam has withstood the test of time, which is why it is the material of choice. It has a 150 year proven track record and is still one of the safest, most durable and least expensive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I just wanted to learn sign language, so I did what many twenty first century millennials do and downloaded an app. The app showed me diagrams to learn basic phrases, videos to perfect the movements, and lessons to learn more efficiently. The technology of the app made learning sign language easy, and I could use it wherever I went. I thought that I was smart for using technology to learn specific things, but Mark Bauerlein, the author of a 2008 book called The Dumbest Generation, would disagree. According to Bauerlein, twenty first century teenagers possess low knowledge levels when compared to past generations because of the increased use of technology. However, Bauerlein is mistaken. This generation is not the dumbest generation because we focus on different topics, we write more often, and we know that every generation has been called the dumbest . Every generation is different, and the information that is commonly learned in each generation is affected by the events surrounding that time period. As stated in The Dumbest Generation? • 10. The History Of Human Language The history of human language is long, complicated and somewhat controversial. Even the definitions of the word language are varied slightly. The Merriam Webster dictionary states, Language is the system of words or signs that people use to express thoughts and feelings to each other: and one of the systems of human language that are used and understood by a particular group of people: words of a particular kind . Additionally, the American Heritage Dictionary defines language as, a communication of thoughts and feelings through a system of arbitrary signals, such as voice sounds, gestures, or written symbols . Between these two definitions of language we can see how complicated the history of human language actually is. The definitions vary based on the assumptions of whether the writer believes language is more learned or instinctive behavior. The debates on the origin of language are still going on today. There are two basic views represented in the definitions of language. The first view is based on language being primarily a mental faculty of humans to learn languages and the biological differences that are unique to the human brain. The second view is concentrated around the idea that learning a language is natural. While other views are more centered on the structured learning of formal signs. Microfluidic cell capture approaches are typically formed by permanently bonding the channel network to the capture surface, and access to the captured cells and nucleic acids is only possible by flowing fluid through the channel. Results showed that approximately twice as much nucleic acid was extracted from the direct transfer method (1523 ± 225.9 ng, A260/280 = 2.03 ± 0.02) compared to in channel lysis (647 ± 5.7 ng, A260/280 = 1.99 ± 0.08) with statistically significant differences (n = 5, p value 0.05). Vaguely similar to humans who process the sounds we hear and can picture the source in our minds if we are unable to see it directly, medical professionals use ultrasound to create images in order to visualize internal structures. Using this method of imaging, physicians are able to identify and visualize abnormalities and potential disease or confirm that we are healthy, or whether a fetus is developing normally. While most people associate ultrasound imaging with pregnant women, they are also used as a diagnostic tool in many other areas of medicine. For example, in addition to obstetrics, ultrasound is used in cardiology as well. Cardiologists use this technology to see inside the heart and identify any abnormalities, and they also use ultrasound imaging to measure blood flow through the heart and major arteries. • 16. Disadvantages Of Biomedical Engineering The human body is made up of a series of organs, each one serving its own unique and irreplaceable purpose within a system. For the most part these organs function to the fullest of their abilities; however, sometimes things go wrong, and organs, for whatever reason, stop working. When a vital organ fails it begins a decline in all other organs and can eventually lead to complete organ failure. This is because when an organ fails, there is nothing else able to imitate its unique structure and function. In the face of this, scientists and medical specialists alike have begun to develop methods to alleviate the consequences of organ failure. Some of these methods result from medicine, geneticists, and mechanics, but truly, the most prospective of all the methods is via biomedical engineering. Within biomedical engineering, through a method called Bioprinting, scientists can now create new organs out of the patient s own cells, and have been doing so since 1999 (11). It works like this. First you start with a blueprint outlining the desired structure of the organ(22). Then you move onto the 3d printing machine, such as a Regonovo capable of running the inkjet sub method of 3d printing(15). This type of 3d printing is designed to build the desired object, or in this case organ, by laying down the material layer by layer and allowing it to fuse together along the way, allowing it to maintain structural integrity. Sarkar Abstract Rivers are the blessing on earth as they serve humans with ample fresh water supply. The purpose of the present study focuses on the combination of the GIS mapping, to indicate the status of pollution status in the sketch of River Mouri, downstream to the wastewater outfalls. The GIS mapping of the eleven wastewater study parameters reveals that the high concentrations of BOD5, COD, DO, Color, Turbidity, TDS and TSS exceeding the permissible limits is present throughout the study portion of the river. In addition, it highlighted the portions where only few parameters such as PH, Chloride, Nitrate and Sulphate are deteriorating the riverine ecosystem. The GIS application in pollutant load assessment of the study further indicates that although few pollutants, discharged into river are relatively low in concentrations at one wastewater outfall point as compared to other but may have high pollutant load that may leads to significantly higher ecological impacts. The possible application of this study is for the decision makers to introduce optimum treatment engineering controls at points of interests, prior to its disposal into River Mouri to prevent the ecological damages and protect human health. Practicing a religion can provide emotional well being, happiness and guiding; however, in some cases religion can have a negative effect in a society because it can be used to justify violence or social inequalities. One of the most controversial religion is the Islam because it has many interpretations that can lead to power abuse and manipulation for personal interests. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, things that are not, to reduce to nothing things that are, so that no one might boast in the presence of God. In the early decades of this century reformers championed individualism in opposition to traditional authority in both thought and social life, and especially in opposition to the Confucian family system. Others contended that what thwarted China s modernization was not the absence of individualism but rather a surplus of it. The common term for individualism in modern East Asia (in Chinese ge ren zhu i) represents a Western idea, and implies that no such ism exsited in traditional thought. Though it has a positive aspect in affirming the individual s freedom from society and his own transcendent value, from the standpoint of society this has no effect on the status of other individuals. It makes no positive claim within society. (Etienne Balaza) By contrast, there is a more affirmative and socially defined individualism which seeks to establish the place of the individual or self in relation to others, to secure his status in some institutional framework. Confucianism attempts this in relation to the family and state. However, Confucianism made a bad bargain for the individual. He was made to sacrifice more to the group than he got in return. It remains true that the Confuican almost alone in traditional China concerned himself with defining and establishing some positive role for the individual in society. It was by virtue of this active social and political endeavor that Confucianism became a vehicle for the growth of a new humanism and individualism in Neo Confucianism. Smith and Park (2006) report, In 1900, 41% of the American population was employed in agriculture, as compared to 1.9% of the population in 2002 . How have we become so far removed from the agricultural life that we believe the propaganda spread about it? Smith and Park (2006) explain why ignorance to agricultural life has thrived, Agricultural literacy is an issue that has gained attention in recent years and is a subject of concern to those in the agriculture business. With fewer agricultural programs offered in schools, generations of young people are being raised with little knowledge of agriculture. As this cycle continues, lack of knowledge creates and perpetuates stereotypes concerning farming. The disconnect between the urban public and rural communities has caused a lot of misunderstandings on how their food is produced. Balschweid, Thompson, and Cole (1998) state, As general concerns rise over the way our food is produced, public impressions are tainted by the actions of special interest groups (Lichte Birkenholz, 1993). As a result, many Americans elect and influence lawmakers to directly intervene in the practices used in producing our food and fiber (Hamlin,1962).
