1. Revise Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of revising an essay, ironically, poses a unique set of challenges.
The inherent difficulty lies in the self-referential nature of the topic itself. Writing about the
process of revising an essay demands a delicate balance of introspection and objectivity. One
must navigate the intricate layers of self-assessment and critical evaluation, all while avoiding
the pitfalls of self-indulgence or overconfidence.
The challenge intensifies when considering that revising an essay necessitates a keen eye for
detail, an understanding of structural nuances, and an ability to detach oneself from one's own
writing. It involves acknowledging the imperfections in one's initial draft, a task that requires a
certain level of humility. Moreover, the writer must grapple with the paradox of simultaneously
being the creator and the editor, which can be mentally taxing.
Addressing the various facets of the revision process requires a multifaceted approach. It
involves scrutinizing the clarity of ideas, the coherence of arguments, the precision of language,
and the overall flow of the essay. This self-analysis demands not only a critical mindset but also
a willingness to accept constructive criticism. It's akin to engaging in a dialogue with oneself, a
task that necessitates a certain level of self-awareness and open-mindedness.
Additionally, revising one's own work demands time and patience. It involves revisiting familiar
territory with a fresh perspective, identifying weak points, and making tough decisions about
what to retain or discard. The writer must grapple with the challenge of viewing their creation
through the eyes of a discerning reader, an endeavor that can be emotionally taxing.
In conclusion, composing an essay on the topic of revising an essay is a task that requires a
delicate balance of self-reflection, critical analysis, and the ability to detach emotionally from
one's own writing. It demands navigating the paradoxical nature of being both the creator and
editor, all while embracing the challenges of self-assessment and improvement.

3. Alloy Wheel Protectors Research Paper
Alloy Wheel Protector: The Best Way to Safeguard Your Rims
Wheels enhance the appearance of cars and increase their value. Despite the
benefits, they are easily damaged by routine driving. As wheels become damaged,
their appearance diminishes and can lead to subsequent damage. Additionally, repair
for wheels and rims is expensive and time consuming. The most leading edge and
best solution for safeguarding wheels is an alloy wheel protector.
Protecting Your Investment
Wheels are not cheap even though they can be damaged in a blink of an eye. Minor
damage can quickly lead to erosion and alter the integrity of the wheel. As such,
protecting wheels is essential. Alloy wheel protectors help to cover up preexisting
damage while also preventing more scratches and dents from occurring. The protector
thinly lines the rim, easily covering up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tires often have to be removed and most repairs require a technician. Wheel
protectors are a nice alternative to expensive repairs.
The protectors do not require a technician and can be applied to all four tires in less
than ten minutes. Additionally, they are much cheaper than getting the rim repaired.
The protectors cover the damage and make it seem as if it was never there, making
wheels look new again without ever having to consult a technician.
Wheels in and of themselves are expensive, keeping them fresh should not be. Wheel
protectors are an inexpensive way to maintain wheels.
Variety of Colors and Options
Wheel protectors come in many different colors, allowing them to be a nice
enhancement to the wheel. In addition to providing protecting, they can add
additional style to the car. For example, for red cars, a red alloy wheel protector may
help to bring out the color. The color choices are endless, creating an opportunity to
further magnify the
4. How To Individualize Parameters
While further research is needed, we need to be focused on positive patient
outcomes. Nurses should set set realistic individualized parameters on monitors
when possible in an effort to reduce nonsense alarms. Parameters should be at a
reasonable level to grab their attention at appropriate times when an intervention may
be required. Translation to Practice This evidence can be translated into practice in
several ways. An astounding 80 99% of EKG monitor alarms are false or
insignificant (Sendelbach Funk, 2013.) First, continuous cardiac and oxygenation
alarms cannot be turned off, but alarm parameters may be changed on an
individualized basis depending on their baseline data. For example, the patient comes

everything beeps, buzzes, and dings. I ve become more aware of the very high
percentage that are nuisance alarms and require no intervention. It is becoming a
habit of mine at the beginning of my shift when I first assess any patient to assess
their alarms as well. I personalize their alarm parameters, change their EKG pads,
and assure that everything is plugged in. I am also able to share this information with
my co workers, which also reduces the number of nuisance alarms on the
6. Solution Of Foster Care
The Foster care system appears to be a no win solution. The children are taken
from their family into the foster care system and never see their family again. Often,
children are removed from their family at an early age to never return home before
the age of 18. At the age of 18, these children can choose where to live and the
majority return to the familythey were taken from. This starts the foster careprocess
all over again. However, if the government would mandate the family to become
part of the solution and work together to raise these children, we might be able to
stop years of longing for a family. Author Nina Biehal states, The kinship care study
in the USA found that allegations of maltreatment had been made in relation to
18.5 per cent of children in (non relative) foster care, but the number substantiated
was not reported. (Biehal, 2014) The foster parents nurturing ability versus kinship
ability supports the idea of the family being reformed to raise their children
whenever possible. For their family to break the cycle of abuse, the family must be
educated on a new way to live. The first time a child is taken from their family
reasons are given to the family for the removal of the children. Next, the family
should be brought into the office and a plan demised to address the issue of abuse.
Lastly, the ultimatum should be clear. If no effort is made on changing to improve
the provisions for the children, a jail sentence will be implemented. This may sound
7. Controversies in Childbirth Essay
Controversies in Childbirth
The United States still has one of the highest infant mortality rates as reported by
CIA World Fact Book United States 6.06 per 1,000 (Field Listing, 2008 p.1), as
compared to other high income countries who employ midwives as mainstream for
low risk pregnant women. Research shows that midwife attended births have fewer
interventions, lower c section rates, and offer more personal care for pregnant
women. The problem with the current form of obstetrical care in the United States is
the uncritical acceptance of an unscientific method: the routine use of interventionist
obstetrics for healthy women with normal pregnancies in contrast to a midwifery
model of care for pregnant women. Should the medical ... Show more content on

(qtd. in The Business of Being Born,2007). 1909, Hannah Porn was arrested and
jailed for 3 months; her only crime was that she was a practicing midwife (p.1022).
That same year, Massachusetts became the first state to outlaw midwives, and other
states were soon to follow. As concluded in the book Remarks on the Employment
of Females as Practitioners in Midwifery Both the character and education of
women disqualify them for the office. (1820 p. 4). Legalizing the midwife will work
a definite hardship to those physicians who have become well trained in obstetrics for
it will have a definite tendency to decrease their sphere of influence. (Huntington,
MD; 1913). Dr. Holms in 1920 stated, Only the properly trained physician who has
acquired surgical technique with specialty training in obstetric physiology and
pathology is competent to circumvent the many ills of childbirth. This was the
beginning of the push for the ending of midwifery (Dr. Neal Devitt s Thesis). The
Committee on Maternal Welfare of the Philadelphia County Medical Society (1934)
expressed concern over the rate of deaths of infants from birth injuries increased 62%
from 1920 to 1929. This was happening concurrently to the decline in midwife
attended births and the increase in surgical obstetrical births. As explained by a

8. Analysis Of One Day At A Time By Joe Walsh
Inner Journey From the start to the end, I m still learning the road between (Lucy
Hale, 2014). An inner journey is the emotional, physical and mental journey that
we experience throughout life to ultimately shape the person we become.
Influences such as family and friends, music, stereotypes and social media give us
the impression of how life is supposed to be. These decisions can lead us in the
right or wrong direction. One Day At A Time by Joe Walsh (Written by Joe Walsh
in 2012) is a classic rock, lyric song that foregrounds the topic of living life. The
lyrics reflect that negative choices made in life can leave us wishing that we had
chosen the right one. (Songfacts.com, 2015) Road Between by Lucy Hale (Written
by Mike Daly and Mellissa Peirce in 2014) is a more light hearted, lyric country
piece that focuses more on the journey through life in which she has not yet taken.
(Lyrics.com, 2015) (Sing.com, 2015) She focuses on the idea that there will be
things in life that will bring you down and your intuition may be wrong but that
shapes who you become. Both songs focus of the idea of going on your inner
journey. One Day at a Time is a more upbeat song which is quite catchy. The lyrics
suggest that Joe Walsh is only living his life for the day and not thinking about what
happens next, living in the moment. This is true however, this song could be about
how he was living in the moment when he was younger and it was what destroyed
his life. The song was

power. For real time requirements of multimedia applications faster computations
need to be performed. To fulfill such requirements of video compression a parallel
computational algorithm can be implemented. In this thesis, the parallelism of multi
core architecture was exploited using block matching algorithm. The test
implementation of the algorithm was done on MATLAB. The parallel model was
designed using OpenMP and its implementation was tested on multi core
architectures. The parallel implementation divides a current frame into independent
macro blocks and each block is allotted to OpenMP section which then assigns it to a
thread for performing the computations. The result of the implementation shows
speedier computations with effective utilization of multi cores. This work suggests a
promising approach which can further be developed and exploited. Keywords motion

But they do apply to a major part of the married population, so for those who scoff

I do not, in any way, want marriage to become harder to dissolve. I want legalities
and governments to stay out of these affairs as much as possible. What I want is
for individuals to bring their heads out of the clouds for just a moment and really
ponder how happy they ll be once their spouse is out of their life. Will you be happy
with that new person you have in mind, whether you ve actually met them or not?
What happens when the new wears off, and your new mate is not romance novel
material either? More signatures and lawyers to erase that marriage too? These are
the questions that Polly Shulman asks in her article titled Great Expectations. Her
answer is that the basic problem comes from waiting for something better to come
along, something closer to a romantic novel:
The reality is that few marriages or partnerships consistently live up to this ideal. The
result is a commitment limbo, in which we care deeply for our partner but keep one
stealthy foot out the door of our hearts. In so doing, we subject the relationship to
constant review: Would I be happier, smarter, or a better person with someone else? It
s a painful modern quandary. Nothing has produced more unhappiness than the
concept of the soul mate, says Atlanta psychiatrist Frank Pittman. (Shulman 570)

In all of the stories we have read so far, a major theme that has been constantly

knew that anytime the water became fresher, he was traveling more toward the
interior of the country. Whenever Magellan found out that the water had turned

he did not send his entire crew into the strait, considering the fact that they didn t
know what had lurked on the other side so he had only risked the lives of a few
individuals rather than the entire crew (Doc C). Magellan had always seemed serious

Composers utilise their respective works to convey various aspects of revelation.
Exploration of self and the wider world is a multifaceted component, manipulated to
be found in all aspects of life. Composers such as Robert Frost and David Wilkie

the poems Stopping by the woodson a snowy evening and Mending Wall to reflect the
ambiguous nature of man s interpretive expeditions. Similarly, David Wilkie adapts
Titan s 16th century Supper at Emmaus to his 19th Century painting Christopher

However, the lines retain a sense of echolalia, illustrating that the speaker s mind is
transfixed in metaphysical contemplation. Frost consequently draws connotations to
humanity s constant battle between lust for, and fear of, the unknown. Therefore,
exploration into one s cognitive realm is denoted as tempting but potentially
dangerous. However, Frost portrays this experience with positive overtones,
describing the encounter as necessary. Frost inadvertently shows that through self
exploration, an individual can understand their worth. Therefore, self analysis
generates a shaped perception of an individual s civil necessity.
Individual citizenship expedites a greater comprehension of social mechanics. Civil
machinations are duly exposed when examined from multiple perspectives beginning
with the individual. Frost alludes to this notion in Mending wall by highlighting the
varying opinions of man. The colloquial and and But are used as multiple sentence
starters, eliciting a familiar rapport. However, this is juxtaposed by the allegorical
walk the line that draws adverse connotations to society s influence on private
thought. Frost furthers this notion through the deplorative tonality when mentioning
the motif of the wall . Additionally, the archaic imagery of he moves in darkness
continues the impression of a growing antipathy. Frost employs these to showcase the
disparity between the speaker s distaste for boundaries

From 600 BCE to 600 CE, China experienced changes in its political system in terms
of the dissimilar ruling styles of different leaders, the rule under Legalism, and the
influence of philosophical thinking like Daoism. These changes, influenced by
aspects of the world and its own region, shaped China into its Classical state. In
contrast, the concept of the Mandate of Heaven, the civil service system, and the
significance of unity through a strong central government remained constant
throughout Chinas Classical period. These continuities followed through, staying
essentially the same as an important part of China s identity. From warring states to
an empire, China experienced a drastic change in restoring the civilization through
different dynasties and rulers. The unity China wanted was non existent during the
age of the warring states as there were rivalries between the seven competing

China switched over to the milder and moralistic rule of the Han dynastythat

changes to find a solution that would end the disorder. Likewise, Rome also
experienced a change in its civilization from city state to empire through its way of
ruling. Although each civilization targeted a different way to build up their empire,
both China and Rome
23. Network Security
Network Security When it comes to networking and the security of networks, there
are several different methods of protecting networks. Of these differing methods,
some of them sound similar, but provide differing levels of security. In the
following paragraphs, I will try to explain the differences between some of the
methods used. Explain the difference between historical and statistical logging.
Logging is a simple way of keeping a record of activity on a network. There are
several types of logs that can be kept, each providing different data that can be
analyzed to provide information on potential ways of improving security over time.
With historical logging, records are kept of all data passing through a particular
network... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The recipient of a message using a digital certificate can obtain the public key
associated with that particular certificate and then decode the message and verify
that it did indeed originate from the proper source. With this information, the
recipient is then able to send an encrypted reply. A digital postmark is another
entity entirely. A digital postmark, or border router packet marking as it is
sometimes called, is a network security measure that can allow organizations to
trace the origins of unwanted spam or other forms of malicious attacks. This
process works by placing identifying data onto messages much like a conventional
postmark, hence the name. Because the information is added at the router level,
there is no way for hackers or other intruders to falsify IP addresses or other
information that might be used to bypass security on a network. As you can see,
there are different aspects of network security. Each type protects the network and
files on it in a different way. It is up to the network manager to decide which
methods work best for his individual business needs, and he may apply some or all
of the methods mentioned here. In the future of network security, there will be
fingerprint readers. There will also be stronger encryption levels. Lastly, there will
also be facial recognition software to protect the security of networks in the future
and then again
24. I Hate And I Love Poem Analysis
The poems I Hate and I Love Thursday and Milk Teeth all have the theme of a
relationship that isn t going too well. Specifically a relationship that has a one sided
love; or in other words, unrequited love. I specifically chose these three songs
because they connect to each other so well. Each poem displays the true feelings of
what being in an unrequited relationship is like. Whether they are frustrated with
their significant other or themselves or whether if they are drained of loving too much.
First, the poem I Hate and I Love by Catullus demonstrates the struggles of being
ambivalent. Being stuck in between two opposite feelings is very conflicting
because your mind goes blank, as if it is chained down. The poem is very short and
only includes two lines, but it means so much. I hate and I love. And if you ask me
how,/ I do not know: I only feel it, and I m torn in two, displays the bitterness of
being ambivalent. This relates to an unrequited relationship because one person loves
more than one another and they hate it. It s hard to stop loving the person you truly
love, even when they don t feel the same.
However, the poem Thursday by Edna St. Vincent Millay presents a short lived love,
which is proved with the lines And if I loved you Wednesday,/ Well, what is that...

Under Armour is a company that always strives to do better. They are currently trying
to expand globally. While Under Armour has higher quality than most of its
competitors, the cost of their merchandise is still a lot less than competitors. There
are many threats to a highly competitive sports clothing company such as Under
Armor. Like many companies in the retail industry they are faced with the increasing
costs of their materials and shipping expenses. Under Armour is trying to connect to
the middle class more, by trying to make their merchandise as affordable as possible.

26. The Yellow Wallpaper Reader Response
In The Yellow Wallpaper there are two details that seem irrelevant that turn out to be
relevant after reading the story. In the beginning of the story the narrator talks about
her room with the bars on the windows and the wallpaper torn off the walls from the
children who lived in the house before. Another detail would be when the narrator
sees the womanin the wall. These two details seem to be irrelevant when you first
read the story.
In the second page of the story the narrator talks about her room in there vacation

When you first read about the narrator describing the room you believe that the
children were the ones to tear the wallpaper and bite the bed. So you think nothing
of it when the narrator says she bite the bed and tore the wallpaper. Though the
narrator is unreliable. Another detail that seems irrelevant when reading the story is
when the narrator talks about the woman that she sees in the wallpaper. She says
this on page 8. The front pattern does move and no wonder! The woman behind
shakes it! Sometimes I think there are a great many women behind, and sometime;
only one, and she crawls around fast, and her crawling shakes it all over.
Though near the end of the story she talks about how she was the woman in the wall
and how she got free.
I wonder if they all come out of that wall paper as I did? But I am securely fastened

27. Cyber Crimes And The Cyber Crime Epidemic
The rise of the cyber crime epidemic is a danger that can affect even the wariest of
internet users. There is an abundance of ways that hackers and the hidden dangers
of the internet can pose threats to internet users. Cyber scams, the deep and dark
web, and counterfeiting are just some of the cyber crimes that exist in our day to
day world. The effects of cyber crimes can range from computer viruses, to
monetary loss, and even identity theft. Above all, cyber crimes can include internet
users being put at risk for financial loss, venturing through illegal content on the
dark web, and counterfeiting. The advancement of cyber based technology has led
to an increase in cyber crimes that procreate financial disasters. Hackers and
scammers are now finding it easier than ever to carry out these heinous crimes. For
example, [...] in July 2014, the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team issued
an advisory that more than 1,000 U.S. businesses have been affected by the Backoff
malaware, which targets point of sale (POS) systems used by most retail industries
(Walters). This quote clearly demonstrates that hackers are taking advantage of both
people and companies, causing financial loss on both sides, as well as the distrust in
companies and credit card providers. The development of technology has made it
simple for criminals to commit theft in the comfort of their own homes in the form of
cyber scamming and hacking. These outbreaks of hacking related incidents establish
28. Populist Party Thesis
The Populist Party After the Grant Administration Scandal and the intimidation of
Political Machines like Tammany Hall, Americans in the 1890s were fed up with
the traditional Republican and Democratic parties. The people were ready for
change, and from this dissatisfaction, the Populist Party was born. The Populist
Party, also call the People s Party, sought to transform the federal government in
favor of public interest. The Populist Party helped to bring about change that
Americans wanted, and the efforts of this party are still noticeable in today s
government. The Populists wanted the government to be more actively involved in
the economy. Prior to this plea for reform, the American federal government played a
small role in economy; their job was to stimulate economic growth, not to regulate it.
In their 1896 National Platform, the Populists called for higher income tax on the
more wealthy citizens. The graduated income tax endorsed by Populists was adopted
after the dissipation of the Party and is still used today. Currently, depending on...

problem for farmers who were trying to ship crops across the country at reasonable
prices. The new party called for a switch from private to public owned and regulated
railroads. In the 1896 Platform, the Populists argued that since the railroads were a
means of exchange and public necessity , then the government should operate the
railroads in the best interest of the people. They claimed the Robber Barons, like
Andrew Carnegie, of the railroad corporations would cause the impairment if not
destruction of the political rights and personal liberties of the citizens. Monopolies

29. The Temperature Dependence Of Magnetization M ( T )
Next, the temperature dependence of magnetization M(T) curves of Mn3Cu1
xGdxN under a magnetic field of 100 Oe is shown in Figure 3. For x = 0.15,
decreasing from 300 to 147 K, the ZFC and FC curves are virtually
indistinguishable, and then an abrupt magnetic transition from PM to FM with a
pronounced ZFC FC irreversibility appears at a TC of ~146 K, as shown in Figure
3a. Noticeably, with a slightly increase in the Gd content from 0.15 to 0.17, the M(T)
curves (Figure 3b) exhibit entirely different features, in which two magnetic
transitions are clearly observed. One is the typical PM FM phase transition located at
high temperature (TC1), and the other is the FM antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition
at low temperature (TC2). Further increasing the Gd content, the TC1 shifts to high
temperatures (from 164 to 239 K), while the TC2 gradually moves towards low
temperature (from 118 to 99 K) as demonstrated in Figures 3c and 3d. In addition, to
further verify the low temperature magnetic features, the temperature dependent high
magnetic fieldmagnetization was measured under 20 kOe, as shown in the insets of
Figures 3a d. Obviously, a typical AFM peak is observed from the inset as displayed
in Figures 3b d, and the decreased slope of PM FM transition suggest that it is the
second order transition induced by Gd doping. For Mn3CuN, the structural phase
transition brings a three dimensional geometrical frustration in Mn6N octahedron 45,

30. The Importance Of Social Changes In Contemporary
Culture
Many problems in our society come from the time of the early years of our country
when the European arrived in our country in order to settle here. Through these
decades we can find an evolution, and adaptation from people in our cultural
traditions, morals, beliefs, economy, and educations. These changes drive to a new
generation where many people from different ethnicities, such as European,
African American, Asians, Hispanics, Latin s and Chicanos had these different
feeling, where social changes, help us to find our new identities, in our social
behavior. These variations of Social changes in our life s leads to the fact on how
people are affected by the social structure, where government issues, economy,
education and social issues affect our contemporary culture. In this semester I read
some interesting readings and plays, which help me understand clearly how we
are affected by situations that reveal and manipulate our social behaviors, which
also can lead to a positive and negative effect. The readings and plays that I m
going to talk about are the Actos Plays by Luis Valdez , Chicano Drama by Jorge
Huerta, The play by Carlos Morton The Many Deaths of Danny Rosales and The
Social Protest Theater by Harry J. Elam Jr. On the reading Actos Plays by Valdez, it
really shows how Chicano theater is created by the purpose of giving a realistic
feeling such as deep, tragic, happiness, and anger, which it can be a tool for the
viewers that help them identify the

his loneliness and the fact that he does not know where to go. Then as Brooks

Pros and Cons of Assessment Assessments are an everyday occurrence in classrooms
around the world. There are many different types of assessments, which generally fall
into formal and informal. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. The major
importance is selecting the right assessment. It is up to the teacher to decide what
information is needed and how that information is collected. Formal Assessments

Informal formative assessment can take place in any student teacher interaction
(Ruiz Primo amp; Furtak, 2004). Typically informal assessments do not involve a
lot of prior preparations. Some informal assessments that I personally use on a
consistent basis are checklists, observation, portfolios and clickers: Checklists The
one that I use most frequently are checklists. I use checklists for every subject at
every point in the school day. In a special education class with numerous staff
members, it can be difficult to ensure that data is being collected thoroughly. In our
classroom, we use checklists to track behaviors, to ensure that students are meeting
their IEP goals, knowledge of their sight words, that they are completing their work,
and last but not least are the students grasping the concept that is being taught. The
quickness and easiness to use the checklists are a major advantage. Another
advantage is that teachers are able to have results quickly. With these quick results,
teachers can address the issues being observed instantly. A disadvantage is that
different people may interpret the checklists in different ways. This can lead to
confusion on what needs to truly be addressed. Another disadvantage is that with
certain areas to watch for, other areas might be overlooked. Observations
Observations are one of the easiest forms
33. The French Revolution And The End Of The Nineteenth
Century
The French Revolution had general reasons basic to every one of the insurgencies
of the West toward the end of the eighteenth century and specific causes that clarify
why it was by a wide margin the most vicious and the most all around critical of
these transformations. The main of the general reasons was the social structure of
the West. The primitive administration had been debilitated orderly and had as of
now vanished in parts of Europe. The inexorably various and prosperous tip top of
well off average citizens vendors, producers, and experts, frequently called the
bourgeoisie sought to political force in those nations where it didn t as of now have
it. The workers, large portions of whom claimed land, had accomplished an
enhanced way of life and instruction and needed to dispose of the last remnants of
feudalism to obtain the full privileges of landowners and to be allowed to expand
their possessions. Moreover, from around 1730, higher expectations for everyday life
had diminished the death rate among grown ups impressively. This, together with
different variables, had prompted an expansion in the number of inhabitants in
Europe remarkable for a few centuries: it multiplied somewhere around 1715 and
1800. For France, which with 26 million occupants in 1789 was the most populated
nation of Europe, the issue was generally intense. Voltaire [Credit: Stock Montage

34. America s Expansion Of The New Lands
The Manifest Destiny was in nature a benevolent movement and it was also seen as
a well intended deal that was bound to make the country more successful through the
means of expanding its boundaries over a vast area. However, the approach which
the nation took in the acquisition of the new lands suggests differently as it did in
fact greatly benefit America but was truly a much more aggressive form of
imperialism. America s strive to move westward was a thought since the very
beginning and expansion helped portray the country s true potential. This was clearly
seen throughout the entire first half of the 19th century. Starting in the year 1803, the
United Statesgovernment purchased the Louisiana Territory from Napoleon I of
France, under the lead of President Thomas Jefferson. With the purchase, the country
doubled in size and only increased the movement of people into the interior of the
continent. By 1820, settlers had moved well beyond the Mississippi River, and as
years passed it was evident that the west was increasing much more rapidly than the
rest of the nation. In the 1840s, the United States had made many significant
purchases and additions to the country s land. One of these was the annexation of
Texas. In the 1820s the U.S. attempted to purchase Texas from Mexico twice but both
offers were refused. It wasn t until after violence between Americans and Mexicans in
Texas began that the American settlers proclaimed their independence from Mexico
and eventually led

Anticipating defilement totally is a difficult request. On the other hand, steps can be
taken to lessen it altogether. There are a couple of principal thoughts that can be
actualized that can control defilement. The three regions that need consideration are
the officer preparing, individual characters, and the motivating forces program. The
initial step is to contract cops of good character, which is troublesome for various
reasons. Officers are human. Giving a man the sort of force a policeman has can
overpower one. Absolute power corrupts absolutely George Orwell. It is
unsurprising what can happen, as history represents so well. If a lot of power is
given to an officer they may think they are unstoppable and may corrupt them. Stricter

arrests murderers before they can commit the actual crime. The heart and brain of
precrime was based on the visions of the three precogs who were used to stop murder
before it happens and whose prophesies about the future events are never wrong. In

or whether free will could alter the future. We don t choose the things we believe in;
they choose us (Minority report, Burgess). This free will does exist because when
the murderers control their actions then, the precogs visions are but the facts that

The mango has become a fairly common commodity for most consumers, so it is
dubious that market increases continue to rise as they have during the last few
years. A resolution to increasing consumption without further reductions in price
may be possible if new cultivars of improved appearance and quality
environmentally friendly cultivation systems were to be developed. Australian
produce is acknowledged for its great consistency and quality. With that in mind an
issue to consider would be, once Australian mangoes have been exported they must
find a way to segregate ad differentiate Australian mangoes from other
internationally sourced products. Traders and consumers often view fruits as
undifferentiated products or commodities. Yet by creating consumer demand for
specific varieties through the use of branding and marketing you have an
opportunity to raise prices and secure stability. Just like any other good or service,
consumer enjoy brand loyalty and with brand loyalty comes product differentiation.
Branding Australian mangoes with as simple as a sticker on each mango, or a logo
as well as primary packaging will assist to identify and will create a sense of brand.
These strategies result in different marketing techniques such as those relating to

process that affect the pricing for Australian mango exports are local supply and
demand. Low domestic prices of mangoes deliver the

40. Passive Observations And Active Experimentation
To answer this question we must clearly understand the main three aspects which
are Passive observation , active experiment , and whether if there was another way
to produce knowledge. Passive observations and active experimentation are very
associated to each other because experimentation is simply the methodological
observation of things. Both passive observation and active transport might not be
distinct modes of learning. The question asks whether if there is another way of
producing knowledge. Inductive and deductive reasoning can also count as a way
of producing knowledge. Inductive reasoning is reasoning in which the properties
pursue it supply strong evidence for the conclusion. Deductive reasoning is the
logical way of getting to a conclusion. The areas of knowledge that will be
discussed in the essay will be Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The way of
knowing that will be discussed in the essay will be doing vs. thinking and ethics

extent can we determine the source of our knowledge? and To what extent can we
determine which form of the different forms of knowledge is more important?

In Chapter 12 of The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, Mr. William
Thompson suffered from an extreme case of Korsakov s, also known as Wernicke
Korsakoff syndrome (Sacks, 1985, p. 109). According to Anderson (2010), Korsakoff
syndrome can cause serious damage to one s hippocampus and temporal lobe due to
habitual alcoholism, resulting in amnesia(p. 201). Similar to HM (Anderson, 2010, p.
200), Mr. Thompson suffered from anterograde amnesia and could remember nothing
for more than a few brief moments (Sacks, p. 109). Anderson (2010) states that
anterograde amnesia results in the incapability of creating new memories, leading to
fractional or absolute inability to remember something that just happened (p. 201).
Yet, one s long term memories before the incident remain intact; such as when Mr.
Thompson recognized his younger brother, Bob, as he walked by the window
(Sacks, 1985, p. 112 113). Mr. Thompson and HM both suffered from anterograde
amnesia and could remember some long term memories but not remember new ones,
signifying that the neural makeup involved in making fresh memories are diverse
from maintaining past memories (Anderson, 2010, p. 202).
Because of his anterograde amnesia, Mr. Thompson suffered from declarative
memory loss; however, his nondeclarative and procedural memories appeared to be
preserved. I believe that Mr. Thompson suffered from an impairment of episodic
memory and retained his semantic memories because he could reflect common
knowledge of the
