Personal Speech On Football
In just about every football game from any age group there is always some sort of peptalk. This is
usually given by the coach to fire up the players and get them ready for the game ahead of them. The
pep talk I got that night will be in my mind for the rest of my life. My Coach always gave us life
lessons that were key not only on the field but off of it as well. He would say things such as there is no
I in team and anything is accomplishable if you work hard enough. He was always inspiring me with
his speeches, but one stuck out the most. This speech was at one of our Thursday night meetings; we
would meet every Thursday to eat supper together as a team, hang out with freinds, and most
importantly get ready for the game on Friday. We would always sit in chairs and listen to him; Usually
ranting on about teamwork and stuff like that but he changed it up. The life lesson he was teaching us
was play like it was your last game.
In his story he talked about a bulldog, and how the owner showed no pity on him. The man would not
let the bulldog ride in the carriage with him, the dog always had to keep up with the man. One night
the man was riding in his carriage and decided to camp the night out. So he stopped and set up his
camp and noticed the dog wasn t around. The man said to his kids if the bulldog wants to live he will
catch up . The kids were devastated at this and wanted the dog back, but did not testify their dad s
words. The man woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of growling and vicious snarling.
That s when he heard his bulldog aggressively barking back at the creature. The man didn t dare go
outside to help his dog because he thought the dog had the willpower and strength to fend for itself. So
he heard a long going battle of barking, growling, biting, and whimpering. At about midnight the
fighting noises stopped in a great whimpering noise. He didn t know if the dog was still alive or not
but he went back to sleep. The next day the man and his family woke up and left the tent to find his
bulldog laying in the grass next to a giant grey wolf. The bulldog fought for its life and won, this is
because the wolf thought he had nothing to lose but the bulldog fought for everything he had. My

Network Technology Concepts Paper
Introduction This paper explores the understanding of network technology concepts and their relations
to establishing networks. In addition, this paper will cover the network architecture and the standards
that must be address prior, during and finalization of a network. Before we can build any type of
network, we must understand the network technology concepts and how to apply them to a network.
By establishing a foundation to build upon, require checks and balances in order to have a successful
network operational. There are many criterions that needs to be set forth and has to be completed in
establishing any type of network. Network Technology Concepts There are numerous network
technology concepts that have been incorporated with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The peer to peer network is a type of network that does not use dedicated network servers for logging
in users or providing secure access to network resources. This type of network lets clients share
resources and have access to whatever they are sharing (i.e. printers). This type of network would be
an excellent choice for small businesses with less than 10 employees because it enables them to share
resources from their computer. These resources can be files, printers, and Internet connections. This
type of network is a cost effective solution due to having less management or support from outside
experts. This type of network setup and usage is simple, but it is less secure and be vulnerable to
security breaches. The second network is the client server network, which does use a dedicated server.
It uses the dedicated server to centralize users and manage group accounts. In a client server network,
the server controls access to the resources to the other computers on the network and clients do not
talk directly to one another (West, Dean, Andrews, 2015). Users at a client or workstation log on to the
server using their own accounts and passwords. The users can only access resources that they were
given permission for. This type of network is used for larger businesses to meet complex and
challenging needs. This type of network has the potential to grow as the business grows. But, this can
have a significant effect on cost

Utopia And Leviathan
Thomas More sUtopia and Thomas Hobbes Leviathan each offer alternatives to the worlds in which
they lived.. More s society, viewed through the character Hythloday, is seemingly based on man s
nature in society being generally good, and the faults of man emanate from how society itself is set up.
Hobbes takes the opposite view of human nature, where man s will to survive makes him unable to act
out of goodness and it is man who is responsible for society s ills.
Both Leviathan and Utopia contain faults in logic that work to undermine the very possibility for these
new social structures. In the following I will show how each of their views for a new society give
insight into what their beliefs of human nature are, while showing some ... Show more content on

Close inspection of these rules give insight into how More may have really viewed human nature. In
the following excerpts we find evidence that More may have found man untrustworthy and in need of
social control, or at the very least spiritual control.
The vast majority of Utopians ¦ believe in a single power, unknown, eternal, infinite, inexplicable, far
beyond the grasp of the human mind, and diffused throughout the universe, not physically but in
influence. Him they call father, and to him alone they attribute the origin, increase, progress, change,
and end of all visible things; they do not offer divine honors to any other. ¦ (Utopus) left the whole
matter (choosing a religion) open, allowing each person to choose what he would believe. The only
exception was a positive and strict law against anyone who would sink so far below the dignity of
human nature as to think that the soul perishes with the body, or that the universe is ruled by blind
chance, not divine providence. ¦ Therefore a man who holds such views is offered no honors, entrusted
with no offices, and given no public responsibility, he is universally regarded as a low and sordid
fellow (pp.516 518 This excerpt shows the ambivalence that More has about human nature. He sees
man as essentially good but whenever an individual has ideas of their own they are regarded as
inferior. This creates another

Wayne Williams Case Study
In a 22 month span, starting in July 1979, 30 African American children and young men were
murdered or disappeared in Atlanta, Georgia (Nickell 1 of 2). Due to the various motives that each
murder presented, it was believed that multiple individuals were responsible for these crimes.
However only 1 person was ultimately charged with these homicides. The person that was found
responsible for 2 of the many murders is Wayne Williams. He was suspected and subsequently
arrested after police heard a splash in the water under a bridge on May 22, 1981, and Williams was the
only one on the bridge during the time frame of the body drop (Plummer 1 of 3). This case was
splashed all over headlines both nationally and internationally (Nickell 1 of 2). Due ... Show more

The largest piece of evidence against Williams was numerous similar fibers connected to the victims
and Williams s environment (Deadman 2 of 14). The various fiber evidence in this case was deemed
essential and the strongest scientific link in this case (Nickell 2 of 2). There were over 28 fiber types
involved in this case that linked to Williams, and of these 28, 14 were from a rug or carpet (Deadman
13 of 14). These fibers were associated with a bedroom carpet in Wayne Williams home, his
bedspread, a yellow blanket found under that bed, a leather jacket hanging in Wayne s closet, a gray
glove in his station wagon... (Plummer 2 of 3). Dog hairs, which were traced to Williams s German
Shepard Sheba, were also found; as well as scalp hairs that linked Williams to one of the victims,
Patrick Baltazar. The scalp hairs were 98% similar to Wayne Williams, and the DNA sequence of the
dog hairs could only be found in 1 out of 100 dogs. The combination of the hair, and fibers at the same
location strengthened the case against Williams. A multitude of yellow green nylon fibers and some
violet acetate fibers were located on the bodies and clothing of the victims (Deadman 2 of 14). Fibers

Aurora Borealis Research Papers
The beauty of the Aurora Borealis, also known as Northern Lights, have captured the attention of
many people, but what exactly makes it so magnificent? In the past, the Native people of Alaska have
created myths, legends, and beliefs that were passed down through generations about what the lights
were made up of, but today scientists have gathered information and have come to a conclusion;
however, there are still mysteries that remain unknown. In short terms, explosions on the sun releases
charged particles called plasma into the solar system (Goodrich). Some of these particles hit Earth,
which then reacts with our planet s magnetic field and atmosphere. Then, the atoms and molecules in
the atmosphere light up due to the electrons moving up to higher energy orbits and back down to the
lower energy orbit (Imster).
In longer terms, Norwegian scientist Kristian Birkeland was the first to conduct a controlled
experiment by building a terrella, which is a world in a glass box. Birkeland used a small magnetized
metal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once the particles hits the magnetosphere, the solar wind compresses the Earth; however, the shield
has a weakness called the polar cusps, which is located above the Earth s magnetic poles. The solar
wind can access that upper layer, which creates dayside auroras which are invisible to us (Brekke).
When solar wind is traveling through space, it is sometimes joined by a large solar gas eruption called
coronal mass ejections, CME. There are chances of CME crashing into the magnetosphere which
results in geomagnetic storms; these storms cause worldwide disturbances. In addition, the Sun has an
extended magnetic field called the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) that the solar wind carries.
Soon, the IMF reaches the Earth s magnetic field at the magnetopause, the outer limit of the
magnetosphere, and here is the place that a storm s power is determined

The Effect Of Hyperglycemia On The Brain
It has been long recognized that children with diabetes mellitus onset before age 5 yr have permanent
neurocognitive dysfunction more commonly than aged matched or sibling peers . A recent study
showed that children with diabetes onset before age 7 yr had reduced intellectual performance and
mild central brain atrophy in adulthood when compared with individuals with similar duration of
diabetes but later onset . Because both hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia occur in young children with
type 1 diabetes, it is unlikely that hypoglycemia is the primary cause of this recognized but little
publicized reduction in cognitive function associated with childhood type 1 diabetes in children.
Hyperglycemia is known to adversely affect peripheral nerve structure and function in younger (3 6
months) but not in older rats. Physical and functional damage to peripheral nerves associated with
diabetes is related to increased activity of the polyol pathway . The polyol pathway is a minor pathway
of glucose metabolism that increases the intracellular content of the polyol sorbitol in response to
increased extracellular glucose concentrations. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This form of protection of the brain from hyperglycemia would reduce the influence of hyperglycemia
on the brain as well as limit the influence of the preceding extrapolations of the polyol pathway

therefore necessary to determine the long term effects of hyperglycemia on brain

Evulation of Audit Tenure, Industry Specialization, and...
The objective of this study is to evaluate audit tenure, industry specialization, and firm size and its
correlation to financial restatements. A client s restatements suggest low audit quality because it
indicates that the client s financial statements are not in line with GAAP. I analyzed a sample of 250
firm year restatements from public companies during 2008 to 2012. I gathered the data using
COMPUSTAT and AuditAnalytics. For my results, I have found that auditor tenure has a negative
correlation with financial restatement. I also found that industry expertise has a negative correlation
with financial restatements. Further, it appears that firm size has no correlation with financial
restatements. In conclusion, it turns out my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Agreeing with Davis, Myers, Rigsby, and Boone (2007) findings suggest that the longer the audit
tenure is, the audit quality tends to be higher. Regarding prior research literature regarding industry
specialization and financial restatements, Owhoso (2002) and Solomon (1999) findings suggest the
relationship between industry specialization and the increase of audit quality. Finally, prior research
literature regarding firm size and financial restatements show that Boone (2007) findings indicate a
positive correlation between the two factors.
My research is different from the prior studies in the fact that the studies do not include earnings per
share and return on assets in their testing. I believe both variables measure a firm s profitability and its
ability to generate cash. These two indicators allow for my results to indicate whether a firm s
financial statements are doing well and have not been restated based on the experimental variables. I
believe that my findings have proved empirical evidence that longer auditor tenure and industry
specialization are negatively associated with low audit quality. As for firm size, there is currently no
correlation with low audit quality
Audits are meant to contribute to a company s financials by bringing assurance that they are in
accordance with GAAP. Auditors provide high quality audit opinions on a client and one

Theme Of Punishment By Seamus Heaney
As is evident in several of his works, Seamus Heaney was preoccupied by the sectarian subject during
the period known as the Troubles in Northern Ireland. However, other preoccupations emanated from
it: his need to find his poetic voice when pressured to speak for his own community; and the
etymological study of the local landscape and its colloquialism. Firstly, this essay will analyse how
Heaney dealt directly with the sectarian subject through three strands; pre Troubles sectarianism,
internal community sectarian punishment and the sectarian murder of family and friends. Secondly, it
will examine the development of his poetic voice in his attempt to determine his role as a poet.
Thirdly, it will also assess Heaney s etymological study of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The poets voice is one of a voyeur, visualising the past life of a girl who was punished for adultery.
After a description that enlivens the bog body, the poem culminates with Heaney addressing the
paralysing emotional experience of being a voyeur to such tribal, intimate revenge. Heaney measures
his sense of injustice against a community s brutal intolerance of rules perceived to have been
violated. He illustrates the troubling irony: stone age justice that puts an adulteress to death is not so
far removed from contemporary Northern Irish society that punishes when a community s sectarian
rules are seen to be breached. Parker puts it that conflicting loyalties, pity and guilt, private and
collective, supply Punishment with its emotional charge.
The Grauballe Man provides a close description of an iconic bog body on display and reveals Heaney
s emotional responses to it. The first half of the poem is a description of each part of the bog body.
Heaney uses dark imagery in conjunction with distinctly human qualities to give the man a spiritual
persistence: the black river of himself. The poem then speculates on his past life and ends with him
shedding the memories of that past. The idea that man s barbaric treatment of his fellows is never far
away; associated ideas link the fate of Grauballe Man with contemporary events in Northern

The Indian Removal Act By President Jackson
The idea of western expansion was promoted in order to strengthen the reputation and the entirety of
the infant country. This was appropriated and romanticized through texts and documents, such as
Manifest Destiny by John C. Calhoun and the message promoting the Indian Removal Act by
President Jackson, which uses various appeals and logical fallacies to persuade the audience on the
ideal benefits and optimistic virtues without the consideration of the Native American demographic.
While expanding, the Americans encountered numerous Native Americans that ranged from a violent
interaction to a peaceful treaty of removal in order to satisfy the American s territorial cupidity.

Similar to African Americans and women in 1800 s (and arguably now), these Amerindians were
minorities that arguably possessed no value nor contribution the cultivation of the United States. Ideas
initially encouraged by Christopher Columbus, where he refers to Native Americans as ignorant

resonates with their perspective of the Native Americans. Immoral as this notion sounds, the
Americans would then enfranchise to urbanization, industrialization, and acquisition of abundant
resources without pondering on the consequences it has on the Native Americans. In 1830, in order to
proceed in territorial aggrandizement, newly inaugurated President Jackson scribed a congressional
message promoting the removal of Indians for the vain benefit of the United States. In the
intermediary of his message, he states a rhetorical question: What good man would prefer a country

cities, towns, and prosperous farms embellished with all the improvements which art can devise or
industry execute, occupied by more than 12 million happy people, and filled with all the blessings of

Microsoft Azure SQL Database: Microsoft Azure SQL Database is a cloud database service of

What Is The Rising Tide Of Nationalism In Trade
Responding to the Rising Tide of Nationalism in Trade: Evolving the Nation s Role to Make Trade
Great Again
21119851
University of Western Australia
I INTRODUCTION
A resurgence of rising nationalism in recent years has prompted a slew of trade protectionist policies
defending against the perceived threat to national sovereignty by trade globalisation. Recent trends in
trade demonstrate a shifting reliance towards bilateral agreements and regional trading while shrinking
away from multilateral participation. This implementation of nationalist trade protectionism has in
solitude served to corrode the openness, trade, and global growth which vitally fuel the national
interests which these ideologies seek to defend. While ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a matter of practice, nationalism frequently entails the implementation of policy which seeks to
reclaim national resources from foreign groups, and redistribute those resources to the nation s citizens
or government. This may be achieved through trade protectionism practices: where governments
intentionally safeguard domestic industry from foreign competition, usually through policy regulation
including tariffs or import quotas. By contrast, globalisation prioritises the exchange of goods and
services, the interaction of people, and the sharing of information and technology across nations as
enabled through domestic policy and international agreement. The prosperity of any nation is therefore
intertwined with the prosperity of others, creating an environment of the shared pursuit of national
interest, which fosters the sharing of success between nations through communal global growth.
B Modern Resurgence of Nationalism
The WTO has warned that the recent global increase in nationalism may threaten the global economy
more than any time in recent history, stating that as long as global economic weakness persists,
protectionist pressure will build and could eventually become overwhelming . As economic stagnation
continues, both dominant and emerging economies are now implementing policy designed to
safeguard against the employment losses, high ratio of capital outflow, and foreign exploitation which
threaten to undermine their national economic interests.

The Causes of Inflationary Pressure on New Zealand’s Economy
The causes of inflationary pressure on New Zealand s economy
The Official Cash Rate is the interest rate set by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand to meet or keep
inflation under control since 1999. So it is a very important and basic monetary tool for New Zealand
s government to adjust or indicate the market interest rates with the banks in NZ. Generally, the
market interest rates are set or held around at the RBNZ S OCR level. For example, if the OCR is set
higher than before, then the market interest rates for savers is going to increase as well. As a result,
people in NZ will tend to spend less for goods and services and place more deposits with the Banks in
NZ. On the contrary, people in NZ for loans or mortgages are inclined to ... Show more content on

In addition, as a result of the lower OCR, the New Zealander is not preferred to place their money
with banks or financial institutions because of the lower saving interest rates. This will bring more
spending and expenditures into the markets in NZ. It leads to the inflation as well.
Besides, for New Zealand, it has a similar economic experience with other developed countries in the
first decade of the 21st century (Preston, 2011). With this relatively high speed development of New
Zealand s economy, its current account of the balance of the payment is kept with saving deficit for
many years due to very high government s spending and high growth in borrowing. There is no doubt
that the economy of NZ can be stimulated through this kind of approach. However, this also could
produce the inflation for this country because of the massive investments for the continued demand
from New Zealander (Preston, 2011). For example, there is a rapid rise on property prices in NZ as the
increased demands on that.

International debt crisis was seen as the inability/failure of capital to control working class power.
Cleaver explains this by analyzing the origins/genesis of debt, locates the continuation of the crisis as
the failure of capital to deal with working class power, and on why working class should focus on the

Althusser (1970) forwarded the idea of Ideological State Apparatuses that function through ideology.
He identified these various ISAs as religious, educational, family, legal, political (includes political

King Tutankhamun
King Tutankhamun (1343 1325 B.C.)
King Tutankhamun lived over 3,300 years ago during a period known as the New Kingdom. This
period of time was called the New Kingdom because it was when the pharaohs united upper and lower
Egypt into one kingdom with the capital being Memphis near current day Cairo. The reason I chose to

Egypt. Tutankhamun is most well known only by the discovery of his intact tomb in 1922 by Howard
Carter and Lord Carnarvon.

It also changed many of our beliefs as to the mummification process and how the tombs were

Carter and Carnarvon discovered King Tutankhamun s tomb in the East Valley of the Valley of the
Kings. It has been recreated several times in museums around the world. The tomb was actually quite
small for a Pharaoh. It was probably built for someone of lesser importance but at the pharaoh s
unexpected death was rushed into modification to accommodate the pharaoh. The tomb is composed
of four chambers: the annex, antechamber, burial chamber, and treasury. The burial chamber contains
wall paintings as well as the coffin of King Tutankhamun.
Before the opening of the tomb novelist Mari Corelli gave a public warning that there would be dire
consequences for anyone who entered the sealed tomb. Then just seven weeks after the official
opening of the tomb Tutankhamun s Curse struck. On April 5th, 1923 Lord Carnarvon died and all

An Example Of A Professional Sports Athlete
Introduction When anyone thinks of business, shopping is most likely at the top of that list, if there
even is a list. A person enters a department store, specialty store or a grocery store, selects an item or
more then proceeds to checkout. A form of currency is exchanged and voilà, business has been done.
When children are asked what a business person does, the usual reply is that a business person wears a
suit and rides a train to work. While the everyday child and the Average Joe may be seen as business
knowledge novices, they certain have heard many key words in business formations. An example
would be a professional sports athlete. The agent works on behalf of the athlete and has a contract
detailing the work and the compensation received. Joe the sports fan is well aware of this type

Summary Of An Den Mond No 116
Franz Schubert s An den Mond no. 176 starts with flowing chords in the piano, a five measure piano
introduction and then a soft entry of the vocal line. An den Mond no. 116 starts with no piano
introduction, rather the vocalist has the downbeat with the pianists left hand and the piece has started.
The two renditions of the An den Mond each hold very individual techniques for conveying the lieder
as well as the notes at the same time with an equally relatable tone. An de Mond No. 116 starts off
with two measure phrase pattern that continues throughout the whole piece. From the very start the
piece visually defines phrase endings as they are marked by a half note. This naturally shows a
cadence as it slows down the line and then continues with a change of thought. However, only one out
of all eight of the half note phrase endings ends up. The phrases are therefore quick but also give a
solemn downwards feel. The lieder captures this as well. The text is very calm and reflective and for
the only phrase that ends up it puts emphasis on the words at last (Measure 6). These two words so the
accomplishment of a desire that has just been filled. The words also show that there is a sadness that
comes with the lieder. An de Mond No. 116 also develops moments of romance. The romance appears
to be between the performer and a friend as the text that starts in measure nine suggests. You cast your
soothing gaze over my fields; with a friend s gentle eye, you watch over my fate.

I M Not Knowledgeable About The Inner Workings Of Car...
I m not knowledgeable about the inner workings of car dealerships. I only know of them through my
experience as a consumer, but it seems obvious to me that the way to survive this recession is to
maintain a customer base. The best way I know of doing that is through customer service, which
unfortunately is given much lip service, but not much actual practice in my experience. My last car
purchase was from a company that invited new car buyers to a catered supper within three months
after the purchase. It seemed like an expensive perk to offer customers, but it was easy to see how it
improved customer relations. During the program, the service manager gave several tips about

Persuasive Freedom Of Speech
Content generated by the media is vastly changing with time. Alongside, how the audience wishes to
view content is changing as well. In the earlier times, only televisions and radios were used to transfer
information. Nowadays, new platforms and websites are using different techniques to deliver content
to their respective audience. On Netflix Nobody Speak, by Brian Knappenberger is one of the many
information and knowledge packed documentary, that redefines the way viewers learn about the
different meanings of certain phrases. One of the ways is freedom of speech, which enables
individuals to express ideas and thoughts candidly. Different audience group will acknowledge
different purposes to freedom of speech. Even though civilians hold the right to freedom of speech, it
can also come with deadly consequences. The expression in the documentary holds a cruel and
degrading meaning, even so, other reasons such as the rights of privacy might outweigh the separate
statement. The case between Terry Bolea and Gawker refines how different audience ponders about
the meaning freedom of speech. Expressing how freedom of speech and technology was misused to
degrade one of the most renowned celebrities named Hulk Hogan, known initially as Terry Bolea.
Firstly, no kind of authority should obtain the power to interrogate or expose another person s private
life to the media. The quote, Freedom of information clashes with people s right to privacy on a
political government level, which is usually constrained, (Mass Communication in Canada, p.38),
states that freedom of speech is limited and should not break certain rules. Considering celebrities are
role models, that does not make them perfect human beings. Gawker.com a self opinionated website,
developed to publicize atrocious or embarrassing footage about contrastive celebrities; uses freedom
of speech as ammo to release footage that could potentially ruin a person s standard and career. From
the film, witnessing that Hulk Hogan s private life was in jeopardy by the power of freedom of speech
that Gawker.com perceives to hold. Fundamentally, freedom of speech considering a characteristic of

Sacrifice In Genesis
There has been some debate about Genesis and the actual time that it was written. Many people have
their theories and beliefs, but the truth is yet to be found. Genesis was said to be wrote by Moses,
however according to the reading I could assume that is not the case. Others also believe that Moses
was the author of the Genesis. The understanding of when Genesis as well as the other four books in
the Old Testament were wrote can help modern day understand the writings more. The Pentateuch
could use some clarifying and Ibn Ezra, Benedict Spinoza, Astruc, and Julius Wellhausen have all had
their own opinions about the issue. Many questions have been brought to light over the years. Some of
these include, why are there two such clearly different creation stories at the very beginning of the
Bible?, Why is sacrifice mentioned so casually at the dawn of time, and why does it play such a big
role with Cain and Abel?, If Adam and Eve were the first humans, from where did Cain get his wife
and how can he be afraid of other people retaliating for murdering his brother?, Why is the flood story
so choppy and repetitive? (Enns, 2). These are all questions that are not only wondered ... Show more

These also have been questioned. These speeches were given from the promise land. The book is all in
the third person if it was actually from Moses. Another question that raises eyebrows is that Moses is
not the author of the book (Enns, 2). The book talks about Moses dying, this is a clear indicator that
the book was not written by Moses, and rather someone else who lived longer than Moses did. A
second early interpreter of Deuteronomy was the twelfth century rabbi Abraham Ibn Ezra. Ibn Ezra

Clay comes to life in Clay Fighter: Sculptor s Cut for the Nintendo 64. This title was originally
exclusive to the Blockbuster chain of video rental stores. Because of this, it is one of the rarest
Nintendo 64 games. In the game s story, the evil Dr. Kiln is experimenting with clay based life forms.
His ultimate goal is to create an army of soldiers to take over the world. However, when his plans go
awry, it is every combatant for themselves. Clay Fighter: Sculptor s Cut was developed and published
by Interplay Entertainment for the N64. It was released in 1998, one year after the original Nintendo
64 game.
Clay Fighter: Sculptor s Cut is a one on one fighting game. Two players will square off in an area, and
only one will be left standing. Players can punch, kick, and throw their opponent. Each hit takes off a
portion of your opponent s life bar. Once you deplete your opponent s life bar, you will win the round.
Despite its comical appearance, Clay Fighter: Sculptor s Cut has an array of in depth gameplay
mechanics. You can parry the attacks from your opponent. You can chain together moves to create
combos, which deal more damage to your opponent. A super meter will let you pull off devastating

Stricter Building Codes

but accelerated after Andrew.[100] Many of these families had used the money they received from
insurance claims to relocate.[101] The population growth was especially noticeable in southwestern
Broward County, where land development was pushed years ahead of schedule .[100] Similar
migration occurred within the Jewish community. Although some areas of Miami Dade County still

Hallandale Beach, Plantation, and Tamarac in Broward County and Boca Raton and West Palm Beach

The Immigration And Refugee Policies
This paper will examine the immigration and refugee policies applied to Cubans and Salvadorans
from the late 20th century, marking the initial surge of migrants from this region to the United States.
The main reason that led to differences between Salvadoran and Cuban granted refugee status in the
U.S. was the fact that Salvadorans were fleeing violence of regimes that the U.S. supported while
Cubans were fleeing the U. S s primary enemy, communism. This in turn led to different integration
processes and acceptance into the state.
The U. S s Cold War policies of preventing the spread of communism depended on the U.S. s Military
interventions. However, the U.S. military occupations did not lead to democratic governments and

President Ronald Reagan argued that this threatened the U.S. way of life and hemisphere as a whole
and on May 9, 1984 addressed U.S. foreign policy allowing Cubans to come into the state as political
refugees (Guerra,331). For the U.S. government, Cuban emigrants provided the rationale for
continuing foreign policy aimed at containing communism and expanding the forces needed for battle
(Guerra,340).
Among the waves of Cubans who migrated to the United States, those who were benefited the most
were the the elite and working class (Pedraza,265). Being made up of the upper class that had a good
education and expertise resulted in a warm welcome and substantial economic opportunities. Cubans
enjoyed near automatic entrance in the the U.S. through President Lyndon Johnson s open door policy
that allowed the entrance of refugees from communism. Under this joint policy the U.S. and Cuban
government set up Freedom Flights that daily brought in Cubans for eight years which totaled more
than 250,000 people (Pedraza,313). These social classes enjoyed automatic permanent residency status
and additional benefits such as food, cash allotments, Cubans only education programs, and other
privileges never extended to other immigrants or minority groups.
However, the third wave of migrants, the Marielitos, instead of being welcomed like they were in the
past 20 years, the U.S. focused inordinately on the criminal element (Pedraza,270). This group

Women in Combat
The debate of whether women should participate in military combat is a controversial issue
worldwide. While the majority of the western countries, such as America, believe in the conservative
values associated with women in combat forces, eastern countries, like Israel, do not fully support
these ideals. Some believe it is a woman s equal right, some believe it will cause negative affects on
the family s life, and others believe women in combat should receive the rights they deserve. Every
individual can and should have an opinion on the matter, but how they address the issue can vary.

Depending on how history is interpreted, every person will have a different opinion on what they
believe to be correct.
America has countless means of support, including the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of
Rights, that declare equal rights on all citizens, or in other words, women in combat. There are two
sides of feminism relating to women in combat. One side describes the feminists who believe the idea
that women can and should do anything men can do (Ruby). So, if women can be anything they want
to be such as heads of nations, captains of industry, astronauts, and surgeons, then they should be
allowed to fight in combat (Ruby). The alternate feminist approach based on gender equality, which
states women should be allowed to participate in military combat, is a fundamental idea not only in
this article, but also to feminists everywhere. The idea feminists believe is not that women should do
everything men do, but to decide what activities we want humans to do, to be involved in, to value and
then work toward equality in those areas (Ruby). The idea is not that women should go into military
combat to be more masculine and violent, but to go in because they have the right to defend their
country, just like men can. Some say they are shocked to hear about or see women taking an
aggressive role in combat, women coming home from Iraq with amputations and other severe combat
wounds, and women coming

A Brief Note On The Quality Of Service
Abstract: The Quality of service in general refers to capability to provide flawless, fast and consistent
communication across the network. The factors that influence QoS are error rates, bandwidth,
throughput, transmission delay, availability, jitter, etc. Any network must provide secure and reliable
service and to achieve this it needs to consider the above factors. Hence we can say that the QoS of a
network is a set of factors to efficiently use the resources of the network. I am using the above factors
to measure the QoS of different networks and compare them.
Introduction:
In recent times Quality of Service has emerged as one of the important topics for research. QoS can be
defined as the all round performance of a computer network. Any network is expected to provide
secure and reliable service. QoS helps provide better service and this can be made possible either by
increasing the priority of a flow or by decreasing the priority of another flow and this flow can be
managed by using congestion management mechanisms. If a network capacity is insufficient then the
QoS becomes an important factor, for example for real time streaming multimedia applications like
Skype, online games, youtube etc., as in such applications if the delay is too much then the purpose of
the application will not be served. The factors that influence Quality of Service are: Error rates
Bandwidth Throughput Transmission Delay Availability Jitter

There are many differences that play a major role between reinforced concrete and post tensioned

individually placed and tied together. Whereas in the post tension system is not as time consuming.
Due to the tendons taking most of the load, the steel quantity is cut down by more than half (usually).
Proposed Methodology
The seventh sense project is currently under construction, so it is the chance for me to observe the

An Examination of The Newtonian Method
The aim of Isaac Newton s Principia is explicitly stated in his preface to the reader: His desire is to
reestablish natural philosophy; to show how philosophers can employ various mathematical and
experimental methods to phenomena in order to reach conclusions about nature, particularly about the
motions of solid bodies. Through the utilization of geometry to describe celestial firmament, he
wishes to accurately demonstrate mechanics with a direction guided by the foundations of geometry.
In his analysis, the purpose of geometry is to teach the solutions of practical mechanics upon
mechanical procedures, thus he constitutes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This preliminary framework expresses that forces are proportional to mass and to acceleration. Since
mass or the quantity of matter and acceleration are both quantities that can be measured, it seems
Newton gives the reader a means of measuring the forces that are to governed the natural world. If one
begins to treat forces as measurable quantities, then one can endeavor to identify two ostensibly
discordant forces as a single, compounded force through thinking of them as measurements. It is this
move by Newton that appears to be revolutionary in a world that solely treated material bodies with
properties like size, shape, mobility and solidness. For example in proposition one of book one,
gravity presents itself as a kind of centripetal force, or impressed force on a material body. Thus the
body moving in a straight line will continue to do so until it experiences a gravitational pull (seen in
the body s movement from point B to C, C to D etc.) in which case it will diverge from a straight line
motion produced by its inherent force. (B to c) Indeed, the gravitational pull might originate with
various masses in various circumstances, manifest as various entities and the forces present at hand
may be different with movement to movement of the body. As long as one is measuring these forces
by looking at the relationships of same kinds that exist in the phenomenon examined, the geometry
utilized for describing the proportionality between

Who Is The Bystander In Lord Of The Flies
The first psychological theory to focus on is the bystander effect: a social psychological experience
where an individual, usually placed in a group, is less motivated towards a goal to benefit self or
victims. The bystander effect can be shown in various situations, such as bullying, protesting, debates
and more. In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, there are many instances where
characters, mostly littluns, supported as bystanders to the bullying of Piggy by Jack. From the
beginning Jack immediately displays a dislike for Piggy for talking too much, coming to a point where
he insults Piggy by calling him Fatty in front of everyone. This later affects the children s decisions to
vote for a leader, and even though the intelligence...shown was traceable to Piggy...there was a

Golding displays an apathetic tone on the subject of bullying and the bystander effect; for example,
Golding doesn t reveal much information on the bystanders, but mainly focuses on the struggles Piggy
has to overcome to be heard, in other words, the bystanders are just background noise. The bystander
effect shown in the children strike a significance because it torments Piggy to be recognised only as a
fat kid with no other important role. Additionally, the bystander effect emotionally abuses victims,
such as Piggy, into believing no one else will help, and in return, bystanders will accept bullying and
restrain from interfering unless someone stronger stands up. In modern society, the bystander effect

and/or religion. There is naturally a strong loyalty towards the place people were raised. However, that
tends to bring enemies too because not everyone is born in the same place and it tends to bring
competition on which place it better bringing rift to all around. Even though with all of the negatives
that come with strong nationalism, I believe nationalism brings more good than bad in Europe, Japan,

Americans are the proudest of their country as it is the mixing pot of the world. Nationalism brought
the United States freedom sooner than most other countries. There was a clear two party political
system that did divide people into two belief systems, however it still gives them an independence in
their choices. At the end of the day, the two major political systems still follow one goal: what is best
for the USA? The Great Depression was one of the most horrible financial struggles that America has
ever had, but they kept striving through nationalism (p.

Argumentative Essay Zoos
Do zoos benefit and improve the lives of animals, or are they catastrophic and disastrous to all these
creatures? This has been a huge debate ever since zoos have been created. Numerous people believe
they are horrid and an issue to animals. In reality, zoos benefit and improve the lives of these animals
for a great amount of reasons.
To illustrate, zoos promote animal conservation. Most animals that have lived in a zoo never
experienced the wild. According to the Conversation, it implies, Everyone believes the wild is a safer
habitat than in zoos, despite drastic threats of climate change, increased poaching, and destruction of
animal s habitats for palm oil. Other examples of how zoos promote animal conservation are how after
ten years of hard work to support and strengthen the amount of endangered California condors, a type
of vulture, the Los Angeles and San Diego zoos have increased the population from about two dozen
to about 170 birds (Are Zoos Good or Bad for Animals?). In addition, there are 232 accredited zoos
with Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA s), which helps endangered species to maintain
healthy populations of animals that are genetically diverse and stable so they don t overpopulate and
endanger other species (How do Zoos ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author described, With several programs supported toward both children and adults, zoos educate
people about the importance of conservation and the needs and demands of animals (Zoos: The
Historical Debate). After being educated about these animals, people may spark a passion for biology,
conservation, and the environment (The Conversation). In Britain, all accredited zoos must at least
have an education program and a written strategy with it (The Conversation). Also, some accredited
zoos reach further than these basic requirements to educate people (The Conservation). Zoos help
educate people, but they also support further wildlife

Stratum Layer Research Paper
Stratum means that the cells are in layers. The stratum Corneum consists dead, keratinized cells. This
layer can be thick or thin depending on its location. On the palms and soles it is thicker for more
protection. It is about 0 15 µm from the skins surface. In RCM images, this layer appears bright
because keratinocytes have a high refractive index. Keratinocytes are cells that produce keratin, which
is a structural protein. The next layer is the stratum Granulosum. The cells in this layer appear as
granules when stained, hence the name. There are also keratinocytes in this layer. This layer is about
15 29 µm below the skin surface. In RCM images, in this layer there is cytoplasm and nuclei. The
cytoplasm appears grainy because of the organelles located in it and the nuclei appear ... Show more

The next layer in the epidermis is the stratum Spinosum. In this layer the cells are connected to each
other by desmosomes that appear as spines. The nuclei are also smaller that the nuclei in the
Granulosum layer. This layer is about 20 100 µm below the skin surface. The last layer of the
epidermis is the basal layer. In this layer the cells line up with each other and there are also
melanocytes. Melanocytes are cells that produce melanin, which is the pigment that appears in skin.
The cells in this layer often divide to replace the cells in the layers above it. Melanocytes appear as
bright, round cells and basal cells are small and bright in RCM images. The next layer that appears in
the skin is the dermal epidermal junction. This is where the epidermis and the dermis meet. There are
two parts to the dermis: the papillary dermis and the reticular dermis. The papillary dermis has finger
like projections that touch the epidermis. This layer is around 100 150 µm below the skin surface. In
RCM images, one can see blood flow. There are also collagen fibers in dermis and they appear very

Analysis Of Whedon s Joss Whedon
Joss Whedon is a writer of many successful TV shows. One of the reasons that his shows have gained
so much attention is because he likes to use them to present his views on controversial topics. Joss
does this by switching gender roles and using powerful symbols. You can see this in both Buffy the
Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse. You can see this in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse. He
does this in order to change societies views on woman in society. To prove this I will give a few
powerful examples from each show that makes it perfectly clear how Joss feels on the matter. Also, I
want to talk a little about some of the speeches Joss has made on television where he talks about his
work and why he does it.
The most important role reversal in Buffy is quite obvious. It is the reversal of rules between Buffy
and her male sidekicks. Buffy this strong and witty girl who run s around slaying vampires. While all
of the male side characters are practically useless. You can find an example of this in practically every
episode. Starting with episode 1 you see this when angle is following Buffy and she slips him and
jumps him. Or like in episode 5 when she has to save Giles from the super vamp after he got knocked
out yet again. Then there is Xander the most useless of all the male characters. Xander is constantly
trying to prove his manhood in the show to try and impress the young attractive Buffy but it always
ends the same, with Xander being the damsel in distress and Buffy

Imagination In The Yellow Wallpaper
The Yellow Wallpaper is a short story by Charlotte Perkins Gilman which presents the story of a
woman s cope with a mental disorder. The narrator s declining mental health is reflected through the
characteristics of the wallpaper that she projects on it. The protagonist goes with her husband to stay
in a colonial mansion for the summer. Her husband john believes that the house supposed to be a place
where she can recover from postpartum depression. The story is told from a first person perspective,
as the narrator writes within her journal, while she is absolutely forbidden to write or work (Gilman
1). Her husband John, attempts to cure his wife with the help of the rest cure, which was a popular
way of treating mental disorders in the nineteen century, and therefore requests his wife to rest, and to
stop writing. Staying in a room which is covered with an old and stale yellow wallpaper, the narrator
begins to develop obsession toward the wallpaper. Naming it the paper, the narrator s fascination with
it is the first clue of her degenerating sanity (Gilman 2). She begins to attribute lifelike characteristics

The narrator attempts to release the alleged woman from the wallpaper, can be understood as the
narrator s attempt to release herself and express her imagination. We see that the narrator is an
imaginative, highly expressive woman. She remembers her peculiar imagination as a child. Yet as part
of her cure, her husband forbids her to exercise her imagination in any way. Both her reason and her
emotions boil, and she turns her imagination onto the seemingly neutral object the wallpaper in an
attempt to ignore her growing frustration. Her negative feelings color her description of her
surroundings, making them seem uncanny and sinister, and she eventually becomes fixated on the

Judaism, Christianity, And Islam
The location where one encounters the divine demarcates itself from the rest of the world and
becomes a sacred place. The sacred connotes reverence and respect as illustrated in Exodus 3:5, where
the Lord told Moses: Do not come closer. Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which
you stand is holy ground. Whereas Jerusalem is just a common city in an ordinary man s eyes, this
viewpoint changes dramatically when it comes to a religious man. For the three monotheistic religions
of the West Judaism, Christianity and Islam, Jerusalem is considered one of the most important and
sacred places in the world. The land acquired its sanctity through numerous manifestations of the
divine in biblical times. Even though Jerusalem does not have extraordinary physical features of a city
in antiquity, it became widely renowned as a holy city. Romanian writer, religion historian Mircea
Eliade argues that space is not homogeneous (Eliade 1957:20) by proposing the term hierophany to
designate the act of manifestation of the sacred, and how it contributes to differentiating the sacred
from the profane. The book then describes an axis mundi, where the site of hierophany occurred, is
established to connect and communicate the heaven, the earth and the underworld through the center.
Further construction at axis mundi is typically done to consecrate the place. The building built is
referred to as an imago mundi, a representation of a miniature cosmos in the

The Political Ideology Of Anarchism And On The Main...
This essay will focus on the political ideology of Anarchism and on the main believes of this ideology.
It will then specifically take under consideration the belief that the society could survive without the
state which is seen as an evil. In conclusion, it will discuss how the absence of government would
affect people s lives.
Anarchism derives by anarchy which means no rules. It s a philosophy that has is the centre humans.
It focusses on leadership because all humans cooperate to establish rules that has to be respect by
themselves, on decision making made by humans and not by a government which is considered
unusual and on the maintenance of order. Anarchism is in favour of self governed societies based on

Their creativity is restricted by force based societies. Humans are social animals who prefer to work
together for the common good rather than for individual interests and wise enough to rule themselves,
they don t need any superior authority when thanks to the humanity are together. Solidarity is the first
human law, freedom the second. Humans can shape their own lives without being influenced by
others. All people are good, innocent, rational. They have been guide in the wrong way by the
authority and by institutions. The state is the reason why crimes happen. The more people are good
and not aggressive, the more successfully the social system will work. No social system can be
successful if people are not peaceful. Anarchists think that with the abolition of the state a new
anarchist man will grew, an energic, cooperative, humane and benevolent one. The state is considered
as the plague of the society. Anarchism tend to maximalize the opportunities for the good and
minimalize the ones for the bad
(M.N. Rothbard,2006).
This essay will now take under consideration the belief that the state is unnecessary for the survival of
the society. Anarchism believe that governments shouldn t rule the society, they believe in a stateless
society.
Two are the main examples of a society without rulers; one is the primitive society and the second one
is the society with subcultures which want to make their own rules and they are trying to eliminate the

  • 2. Personal Speech On Football In just about every football game from any age group there is always some sort of peptalk. This is usually given by the coach to fire up the players and get them ready for the game ahead of them. The pep talk I got that night will be in my mind for the rest of my life. My Coach always gave us life lessons that were key not only on the field but off of it as well. He would say things such as there is no I in team and anything is accomplishable if you work hard enough. He was always inspiring me with his speeches, but one stuck out the most. This speech was at one of our Thursday night meetings; we would meet every Thursday to eat supper together as a team, hang out with freinds, and most importantly get ready for the game on Friday. We would always sit in chairs and listen to him; Usually ranting on about teamwork and stuff like that but he changed it up. The life lesson he was teaching us was play like it was your last game. In his story he talked about a bulldog, and how the owner showed no pity on him. The man would not let the bulldog ride in the carriage with him, the dog always had to keep up with the man. One night the man was riding in his carriage and decided to camp the night out. So he stopped and set up his camp and noticed the dog wasn t around. The man said to his kids if the bulldog wants to live he will catch up . The kids were devastated at this and wanted the dog back, but did not testify their dad s words. The man woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of growling and vicious snarling. That s when he heard his bulldog aggressively barking back at the creature. The man didn t dare go outside to help his dog because he thought the dog had the willpower and strength to fend for itself. So he heard a long going battle of barking, growling, biting, and whimpering. At about midnight the fighting noises stopped in a great whimpering noise. He didn t know if the dog was still alive or not but he went back to sleep. The next day the man and his family woke up and left the tent to find his bulldog laying in the grass next to a giant grey wolf. The bulldog fought for its life and won, this is because the wolf thought he had nothing to lose but the bulldog fought for everything he had. My ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In addition, this paper will cover the network architecture and the standards that must be address prior, during and finalization of a network. Before we can build any type of network, we must understand the network technology concepts and how to apply them to a network. By establishing a foundation to build upon, require checks and balances in order to have a successful network operational. There are many criterions that needs to be set forth and has to be completed in establishing any type of network. The peer to peer network is a type of network that does not use dedicated network servers for logging in users or providing secure access to network resources. This type of network lets clients share resources and have access to whatever they are sharing (i.e. printers). This type of network would be an excellent choice for small businesses with less than 10 employees because it enables them to share resources from their computer. These resources can be files, printers, and Internet connections. This type of network is a cost effective solution due to having less management or support from outside experts. This type of network setup and usage is simple, but it is less secure and be vulnerable to security breaches. The second network is the client server network, which does use a dedicated server. It uses the dedicated server to centralize users and manage group accounts. In a client server network, the server controls access to the resources to the other computers on the network and clients do not talk directly to one another (West, Dean, Andrews, 2015). Users at a client or workstation log on to the server using their own accounts and passwords. The users can only access resources that they were given permission for. This type of network is used for larger businesses to meet complex and challenging needs. This type of network has the potential to grow as the business grows. • 4. Utopia And Leviathan Thomas More sUtopia and Thomas Hobbes Leviathan each offer alternatives to the worlds in which they lived.. More s society, viewed through the character Hythloday, is seemingly based on man s nature in society being generally good, and the faults of man emanate from how society itself is set up. Hobbes takes the opposite view of human nature, where man s will to survive makes him unable to act out of goodness and it is man who is responsible for society s ills. Both Leviathan and Utopia contain faults in logic that work to undermine the very possibility for these new social structures. In the following I will show how each of their views for a new society give insight into what their beliefs of human nature are, while showing some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Close inspection of these rules give insight into how More may have really viewed human nature. In the following excerpts we find evidence that More may have found man untrustworthy and in need of social control, or at the very least spiritual control. The vast majority of Utopians ¦ believe in a single power, unknown, eternal, infinite, inexplicable, far beyond the grasp of the human mind, and diffused throughout the universe, not physically but in influence. Him they call father, and to him alone they attribute the origin, increase, progress, change, and end of all visible things; they do not offer divine honors to any other. ¦ (Utopus) left the whole matter (choosing a religion) open, allowing each person to choose what he would believe. The only exception was a positive and strict law against anyone who would sink so far below the dignity of human nature as to think that the soul perishes with the body, or that the universe is ruled by blind chance, not divine providence. ¦ Therefore a man who holds such views is offered no honors, entrusted with no offices, and given no public responsibility, he is universally regarded as a low and sordid fellow (pp.516 518 This excerpt shows the ambivalence that More has about human nature. • 5. Wayne Williams Case Study In a 22 month span, starting in July 1979, 30 African American children and young men were murdered or disappeared in Atlanta, Georgia (Nickell 1 of 2). Due to the various motives that each murder presented, it was believed that multiple individuals were responsible for these crimes. However only 1 person was ultimately charged with these homicides. The person that was found responsible for 2 of the many murders is Wayne Williams. He was suspected and subsequently arrested after police heard a splash in the water under a bridge on May 22, 1981, and Williams was the only one on the bridge during the time frame of the body drop (Plummer 1 of 3). There were over 28 fiber types involved in this case that linked to Williams, and of these 28, 14 were from a rug or carpet (Deadman 13 of 14). These fibers were associated with a bedroom carpet in Wayne Williams home, his bedspread, a yellow blanket found under that bed, a leather jacket hanging in Wayne s closet, a gray glove in his station wagon... The scalp hairs were 98% similar to Wayne Williams, and the DNA sequence of the dog hairs could only be found in 1 out of 100 dogs. In the past, the Native people of Alaska have created myths, legends, and beliefs that were passed down through generations about what the lights were made up of, but today scientists have gathered information and have come to a conclusion; however, there are still mysteries that remain unknown. In short terms, explosions on the sun releases charged particles called plasma into the solar system (Goodrich). Some of these particles hit Earth, which then reacts with our planet s magnetic field and atmosphere. Then, the atoms and molecules in the atmosphere light up due to the electrons moving up to higher energy orbits and back down to the lower energy orbit (Imster). In longer terms, Norwegian scientist Kristian Birkeland was the first to conduct a controlled experiment by building a terrella, which is a world in a glass box. When solar wind is traveling through space, it is sometimes joined by a large solar gas eruption called coronal mass ejections, CME. There are chances of CME crashing into the magnetosphere which results in geomagnetic storms; these storms cause worldwide disturbances. In addition, the Sun has an extended magnetic field called the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) that the solar wind carries. • 7. The Effect Of Hyperglycemia On The Brain It has been long recognized that children with diabetes mellitus onset before age 5 yr have permanent neurocognitive dysfunction more commonly than aged matched or sibling peers . A recent study showed that children with diabetes onset before age 7 yr had reduced intellectual performance and mild central brain atrophy in adulthood when compared with individuals with similar duration of diabetes but later onset . Because both hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia occur in young children with type 1 diabetes, it is unlikely that hypoglycemia is the primary cause of this recognized but little publicized reduction in cognitive function associated with childhood type 1 diabetes in children. Hyperglycemia is known to adversely affect peripheral nerve structure and function in younger (3 6 months) but not in older rats. Physical and functional damage to peripheral nerves associated with diabetes is related to increased activity of the polyol pathway . The polyol pathway is a minor pathway of glucose metabolism that increases the intracellular content of the polyol sorbitol in response to increased extracellular glucose concentrations. ... The objective of this study is to evaluate audit tenure, industry specialization, and firm size and its correlation to financial restatements. A client s restatements suggest low audit quality because it indicates that the client s financial statements are not in line with GAAP. I analyzed a sample of 250 firm year restatements from public companies during 2008 to 2012. I gathered the data using COMPUSTAT and AuditAnalytics. For my results, I have found that auditor tenure has a negative correlation with financial restatement. I also found that industry expertise has a negative correlation with financial restatements. Regarding prior research literature regarding industry specialization and financial restatements, Owhoso (2002) and Solomon (1999) findings suggest the relationship between industry specialization and the increase of audit quality. Finally, prior research literature regarding firm size and financial restatements show that Boone (2007) findings indicate a positive correlation between the two factors. My research is different from the prior studies in the fact that the studies do not include earnings per share and return on assets in their testing. I believe both variables measure a firm s profitability and its ability to generate cash. These two indicators allow for my results to indicate whether a firm s financial statements are doing well and have not been restated based on the experimental variables. I believe that my findings have proved empirical evidence that longer auditor tenure and industry specialization are negatively associated with low audit quality. • 10. Theme Of Punishment By Seamus Heaney As is evident in several of his works, Seamus Heaney was preoccupied by the sectarian subject during the period known as the Troubles in Northern Ireland. However, other preoccupations emanated from it: his need to find his poetic voice when pressured to speak for his own community; and the etymological study of the local landscape and its colloquialism. Firstly, this essay will analyse how Heaney dealt directly with the sectarian subject through three strands; pre Troubles sectarianism, internal community sectarian punishment and the sectarian murder of family and friends. Secondly, it will examine the development of his poetic voice in his attempt to determine his role as a poet. Thirdly, it will also assess Heaney s etymological study of ... After a description that enlivens the bog body, the poem culminates with Heaney addressing the paralysing emotional experience of being a voyeur to such tribal, intimate revenge. Heaney measures his sense of injustice against a community s brutal intolerance of rules perceived to have been violated. He illustrates the troubling irony: stone age justice that puts an adulteress to death is not so far removed from contemporary Northern Irish society that punishes when a community s sectarian rules are seen to be breached. Parker puts it that conflicting loyalties, pity and guilt, private and collective, supply Punishment with its emotional charge. The Grauballe Man provides a close description of an iconic bog body on display and reveals Heaney s emotional responses to it. The first half of the poem is a description of each part of the bog body. Heaney uses dark imagery in conjunction with distinctly human qualities to give the man a spiritual persistence: the black river of himself. The poem then speculates on his past life and ends with him shedding the memories of that past. What Is The Rising Tide Of Nationalism In Trade Responding to the Rising Tide of Nationalism in Trade: Evolving the Nation s Role to Make Trade Great Again 21119851 University of Western Australia I INTRODUCTION A resurgence of rising nationalism in recent years has prompted a slew of trade protectionist policies defending against the perceived threat to national sovereignty by trade globalisation. Recent trends in trade demonstrate a shifting reliance towards bilateral agreements and regional trading while shrinking away from multilateral participation. This implementation of nationalist trade protectionism has in solitude served to corrode the openness, trade, and global growth which vitally fuel the national interests which these ideologies seek to defend. While ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a matter of practice, nationalism frequently entails the implementation of policy which seeks to reclaim national resources from foreign groups, and redistribute those resources to the nation s citizens or government. This may be achieved through trade protectionism practices: where governments intentionally safeguard domestic industry from foreign competition, usually through policy regulation including tariffs or import quotas. By contrast, globalisation prioritises the exchange of goods and services, the interaction of people, and the sharing of information and technology across nations as enabled through domestic policy and international agreement. The prosperity of any nation is therefore intertwined with the prosperity of others, creating an environment of the shared pursuit of national interest, which fosters the sharing of success between nations through communal global growth. B Modern Resurgence of Nationalism The WTO has warned that the recent global increase in nationalism may threaten the global economy more than any time in recent history, stating that as long as global economic weakness persists, protectionist pressure will build and could eventually become overwhelming . As economic stagnation continues, both dominant and emerging economies are now implementing policy designed to safeguard against the employment losses, high ratio of capital outflow, and foreign exploitation which threaten to undermine their national economic interests. ... So it is a very important and basic monetary tool for New Zealand s government to adjust or indicate the market interest rates with the banks in NZ. Generally, the market interest rates are set or held around at the RBNZ S OCR level. For example, if the OCR is set higher than before, then the market interest rates for savers is going to increase as well. In addition, as a result of the lower OCR, the New Zealander is not preferred to place their money with banks or financial institutions because of the lower saving interest rates. Besides, for New Zealand, it has a similar economic experience with other developed countries in the first decade of the 21st century (Preston, 2011). With this relatively high speed development of New Zealand s economy, its current account of the balance of the payment is kept with saving deficit for many years due to very high government s spending and high growth in borrowing. There is no doubt that the economy of NZ can be stimulated through this kind of approach. However, this also could produce the inflation for this country because of the massive investments for the continued demand from New Zealander (Preston, 2011). This period of time was called the New Kingdom because it was when the pharaohs united upper and lower Egypt into one kingdom with the capital being Memphis near current day Cairo. The reason I chose to write a research paper on King Tut is because he is one of the most well known pharaohs of ancient Egypt. Tutankhamun is most well known only by the discovery of his intact tomb in 1922 by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon. King Tut was born in 1343 B.C. into the 18th Dynasty. The tomb is composed of four chambers: the annex, antechamber, burial chamber, and treasury. The burial chamber contains wall paintings as well as the coffin of King Tutankhamun. A person enters a department store, specialty store or a grocery store, selects an item or more then proceeds to checkout. A form of currency is exchanged and voilà, business has been done. When children are asked what a business person does, the usual reply is that a business person wears a suit and rides a train to work. While the everyday child and the Average Joe may be seen as business knowledge novices, they certain have heard many key words in business formations. An example would be a professional sports athlete. The agent works on behalf of the athlete and has a contract detailing the work and the compensation received. Joe the sports fan is well aware of this type relationship but probably doesn t know that Agency is the business term used. Agency and its application will be covered later. Business also has different types of organizations, to include partnerships, franchises and corporations. How these entities can be formed, their types and the powers they hold will be discussed. It is also important in business to know who is in charge, who runs the business and who can decide what the business will do in the present and the future. While all these terms and ideas are exciting, the most exciting entity in business is money. Everyone wants to make lots of money and the right business can help to achieve that goal. An den Mond no. 116 starts with no piano introduction, rather the vocalist has the downbeat with the pianists left hand and the piece has started. The two renditions of the An den Mond each hold very individual techniques for conveying the lieder as well as the notes at the same time with an equally relatable tone. An de Mond No. 116 starts off with two measure phrase pattern that continues throughout the whole piece. From the very start the piece visually defines phrase endings as they are marked by a half note. This naturally shows a cadence as it slows down the line and then continues with a change of thought. However, only one out of all eight of the half note phrase endings ends up. The phrases are therefore quick but also give a solemn downwards feel. The lieder captures this as well. The text is very calm and reflective and for the only phrase that ends up it puts emphasis on the words at last (Measure 6). These two words so the accomplishment of a desire that has just been filled. The words also show that there is a sadness that comes with the lieder. An de Mond No. 116 also develops moments of romance. The romance appears to be between the performer and a friend as the text that starts in measure nine suggests. • 29. A Brief Note On The Quality Of Service Abstract: The Quality of service in general refers to capability to provide flawless, fast and consistent communication across the network. The factors that influence QoS are error rates, bandwidth, throughput, transmission delay, availability, jitter, etc. Any network must provide secure and reliable service and to achieve this it needs to consider the above factors. Hence we can say that the QoS of a network is a set of factors to efficiently use the resources of the network. I am using the above factors to measure the QoS of different networks and compare them. Introduction: In recent times Quality of Service has emerged as one of the important topics for research. QoS can be defined as the all round performance of a computer network. Any network is expected to provide secure and reliable service. QoS helps provide better service and this can be made possible either by increasing the priority of a flow or by decreasing the priority of another flow and this flow can be managed by using congestion management mechanisms. If a network capacity is insufficient then the QoS becomes an important factor, for example for real time streaming multimedia applications like Skype, online games, youtube etc., as in such applications if the delay is too much then the purpose of the application will not be served. The factors that influence Quality of Service are: Error rates Bandwidth Throughput Transmission Delay Availability Jitter Quality of Service Factors: Error Rates: ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This preliminary framework expresses that forces are proportional to mass and to acceleration. Since mass or the quantity of matter and acceleration are both quantities that can be measured, it seems Newton gives the reader a means of measuring the forces that are to governed the natural world. If one begins to treat forces as measurable quantities, then one can endeavor to identify two ostensibly discordant forces as a single, compounded force through thinking of them as measurements. It is this move by Newton that appears to be revolutionary in a world that solely treated material bodies with properties like size, shape, mobility and solidness. For example in proposition one of book one, gravity presents itself as a kind of centripetal force, or impressed force on a material body. Thus the body moving in a straight line will continue to do so until it experiences a gravitational pull (seen in the body s movement from point B to C, C to D etc.) in which case it will diverge from a straight line motion produced by its inherent force. (B to c) Indeed, the gravitational pull might originate with various masses in various circumstances, manifest as various entities and the forces present at hand may be different with movement to movement of the body. Who Is The Bystander In Lord Of The Flies The first psychological theory to focus on is the bystander effect: a social psychological experience where an individual, usually placed in a group, is less motivated towards a goal to benefit self or victims. The bystander effect can be shown in various situations, such as bullying, protesting, debates and more. In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, there are many instances where characters, mostly littluns, supported as bystanders to the bullying of Piggy by Jack. From the beginning Jack immediately displays a dislike for Piggy for talking too much, coming to a point where he insults Piggy by calling him Fatty in front of everyone. This later affects the children s decisions to vote for a leader, and even though the intelligence...shown was traceable to Piggy...there was a stillness about Ralph as he sat that marked him out: there was his size, and attractive appearance; and most powerfully, there is the conch (22). ... Golding displays an apathetic tone on the subject of bullying and the bystander effect; for example, Golding doesn t reveal much information on the bystanders, but mainly focuses on the struggles Piggy has to overcome to be heard, in other words, the bystanders are just background noise. The bystander effect shown in the children strike a significance because it torments Piggy to be recognised only as a fat kid with no other important role. Additionally, the bystander effect emotionally abuses victims, such as Piggy, into believing no one else will help, and in return, bystanders will accept bullying and restrain from interfering unless someone stronger stands up. American Imperialism Research Paper Nationalism is the ideology based on the foundation that the individual s loyalty and devotion to the selected nation is more important than other individual or group interests. There are many things that people are able to relate to and identify as being that can include; their culture, homeland, family, and/or religion. This has been a huge debate ever since zoos have been created. Numerous people believe they are horrid and an issue to animals. In reality, zoos benefit and improve the lives of these animals for a great amount of reasons. To illustrate, zoos promote animal conservation. Most animals that have lived in a zoo never experienced the wild. According to the Conversation, it implies, Everyone believes the wild is a safer habitat than in zoos, despite drastic threats of climate change, increased poaching, and destruction of animal s habitats for palm oil. One of the reasons that his shows have gained so much attention is because he likes to use them to present his views on controversial topics. Joss does this by switching gender roles and using powerful symbols. You can see this in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse. You can see this in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse. He does this in order to change societies views on woman in society. To prove this I will give a few powerful examples from each show that makes it perfectly clear how Joss feels on the matter. Also, I want to talk a little about some of the speeches Joss has made on television where he talks about his work and why he does it. The most important role reversal in Buffy is quite obvious. It is the reversal of rules between Buffy and her male sidekicks. Buffy this strong and witty girl who run s around slaying vampires. While all of the male side characters are practically useless. You can find an example of this in practically every episode. Starting with episode 1 you see this when angle is following Buffy and she slips him and jumps him. Or like in episode 5 when she has to save Giles from the super vamp after he got knocked out yet again. Then there is Xander the most useless of all the male characters. • 43. Judaism, Christianity, And Islam The location where one encounters the divine demarcates itself from the rest of the world and becomes a sacred place. The sacred connotes reverence and respect as illustrated in Exodus 3:5, where the Lord told Moses: Do not come closer. Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground. Whereas Jerusalem is just a common city in an ordinary man s eyes, this viewpoint changes dramatically when it comes to a religious man. For the three monotheistic religions of the West Judaism, Christianity and Islam, Jerusalem is considered one of the most important and sacred places in the world. The land acquired its sanctity through numerous manifestations of the divine in biblical times. Even though Jerusalem does not have extraordinary physical features of a city in antiquity, it became widely renowned as a holy city. Romanian writer, religion historian Mircea Eliade argues that space is not homogeneous (Eliade 1957:20) by proposing the term hierophany to designate the act of manifestation of the sacred, and how it contributes to differentiating the sacred from the profane. The book then describes an axis mundi, where the site of hierophany occurred, is established to connect and communicate the heaven, the earth and the underworld through the center. Further construction at axis mundi is typically done to consecrate the place. The building built is referred to as an imago mundi, a representation of a miniature cosmos in the ...
