I am currently working in Chemical Management as the Site Manager at the General Motors Powertrain plant in Tonawanda, NY. In this
position I manage chemical processes in 2 engine production facilities and the annual purchase of over $3,000,000 in indirect chemical
supplies for the plant that are used in manufacturing automotive engines.
Management of coolant and wash system chemicals for concentration, pH, and biological levels through a team of three site
engineers and a lab technician.
Interface with suppliers, soliciting quotes for chemical products and ensuring cost effective pricing for the plant.
Procurement of lubricants, maintenance chemicals, road salt, paint, and other chemicals as required by the plant.
Maintaining sufficient inventory of all other indirect chemical supplies in a JIT manner and providing the highest quality customer
service are priorities in this position.
Responsibilities include tracking usage, cost, and the introduction of alternative products and process improvements that will reduce
costs.
Manage chemical shortages to avoid any interruption to manufacturing processes.
Logistics of indirect chemical supply deliveries to points of use throughout the plant.
Participation in the Hazardous Material Control Committee which approves/disapproves new chemical usage requests throughout
the plant.
I possess a diverse technical background, and knowledge of metal working fluids, lubricants, cleaners, wash chemicals, gases and a
variety of other chemicals utilized in manufacturing and plant maintenance.

In this position I managed chemical processes and the annual purchase of over $2,900,000 in indirect chemical supplies for the plant that are
used in manufacturing automotive heat exchangers.
Responsible for the gas separation facility generating 46,000scf/hr of bulk nitrogen gas for Lockport production processes.
o Manage supply agreement with Air Products to supply bulk separated nitrogen 24/7.
o Tracking supplemental liquid nitrogen supply usage, deliveries, and cost.
o Responsible for collecting credits from Air Products when contractual limit of annual downtime hours is exceeded.
o Main interface with Air Products for bulk nitrogen generation plant upgrade and repair projects which includes H&S
requirements and ensuring nitrogen supply and cost requirements are met through project completion.
Responsible for bulk helium tube trailer bulk gas supplies used in GMCH Lockport for leak detection.

Engineering Test Technician (Delphi – Lockport Technical Center) November 2006 – April 2013
Research and development testing on automotive climate control components such as heater cores, radiators, and HVAC modules.
This includes vibration testing, environmental testing, heat dissipation testing.
Operation of various test stands and test instrumentation in support of the engineering department.
Reporting of data to customer as requested.
Troubleshooting equipment to ensure quality data is produced and reported to the customer.
Measurement of the heat transfer properties of automotive heat exchangers such as radiators heater cores and refrigerant
condensers.
Measurement of the temperature characteristics of automotive HVAC modules.
Fixture design used in the vibration testing of various heat exchangers, HVAC modules, and other automotive climate control
products.
Fixturing, operation, and monitoring of a M.A.S.T. (Multiaxis Simulation Table) in a humidity and temperature controlled

Site Engineer II - Chemical Management (Quaker Chemical) May 2004 – November 2006
Purchasing and invoicing customer for $100,000 to $225,000 per month in chemical purchases.
Indirect production chemical JIT purchases included thermal degreasable metal forming fluids, wash chemicals, greases, various
lubricants, bottled gases, bulk chemicals, and gasoline.
Miscellaneous chemical purchases: floor cleaners, hand cleaners, mold release, hand cleaners, adhesives, and other specialty
chemicals as required by the client.
Utilization of Image purchasing/inventory software, and later JD Edwards for ordering and inventory control.
Accomplished interdepartmental and building to building transfers of drums, totes and bottled gases to point of use sites in a 300
acre complex.
Managed purchasing and chemical deliveries without any disruption to production through client bankruptcy in 2005.
Located alternative vendor for a critical chemical priced at $12,000/drum and avoided production disruption. Original vendor ceased
doing business with our site due to lack of payment for a past delivery resulting from Delphi bankruptcy.
Managed return and disposal of empty chemical containers such as totes, drums, and gas bottles. Managed ISO 9000 quality
system including procedure writing, and audits.
