great man. Martin Luther was born on the 10th of November, 1483 in Eisleben,
Germany. Hans and Margaretha Luder were his parents. In 1501, he had been
enrolled in the University of Erfurt at the age of seventeen. But all of that changed
during a harsh thunderstorm where a lightning bolt struck near him on his way

Hospitals are chaotic and can be difficult places to maintain safety if precautions
aren t taken. One way that healthcare providers attempt to combat safety issues is by
using different alarm systems to alert staff to issues in patient rooms. The many
different alarms can be beneficial but can also cause a phenomenon that is referred to
as alarmfatigue. Alarm fatigue is defined as a condition of sensory overload for
staff members who are exposed to an excessive number of alarms (Blake, 2014). It
is a national problem and the number one medical device technology hazard in 2012.
The problem of alarm desensitization is multifaceted and could be attributed most
heavily to high false alarm rates. Studies have indicated that the presence of false and
/or clinically insignificant alarms ranges from 80 90% (Cvach, 2012). The constant
alarms make it difficult for nurses to discern the difference between emergent and
annoying alerts and can cause many to not respond as urgently as necessary.

I had a personal experience with the effects of alarm fatigue this semester. I was
working with an RN who graduated from JMU in 2010. We had multiple difficult
patients whom would ring their call bells or mess with their equipment every chance

only things a person would think if they had done the march while hungry and
thirsty. But Elie comes said that quote to prove the strength of the bond between him
and his father. Another time in which the prisoners marched was running to
Gleiwitz. They stayed there for three days with no food or water, the prisoners were
moved into roofless cattle cars, almost 100 people in a car. The prisoners were
handed the usual ration before getting on the train and ate snow in order to quench

Armstrong. From the start, Brother noticed something off about his younger brother.

as water on the brain. He is believed to have this condition because his head is

restrictions, the Chinese are believers in supernatural beings and they conserve their

trying to figure out how to move forward. Irene Hunt learned of stories of the Civil
War from her grandfather who served in the Civil War. Hunt s book, Across Five
Aprils, relates to her childhood because this novel is nothing but a story of the war
from one family. This book hit home hard and revealed concepts of realism by
examining the effects the war had on everyday life.
Irene Hunt didn t use Naturalism in Across Five Aprils. Instead she used realism.
She took real events that happened and focused on the effect that it had on
