to bigger problems. Visibility a key factor in mentoring an employee. An employee s visibility is
easier if that employee is seen as a good performer and has a good reputation and credibility. There are
key things mentors need to train an employee to do in order to increase his or her visibility at work.
Simple ways to increase visibility is to speak up at meetings, ask to do projects, and participate in
learning opportunities. This will allow an employee more opportunities to become more visible to
managers. Conflict resolution is an essential skill that every employee must acquire. Employees are
going to have disagreements and conflicts, but with the correct skills they will know how to resolve
them or at least set them aside during working hours. A good manger mentor when know when he or

There can be some confusion between confidence and arrogance. As both shows a person having
strong belief in their abilities. The difference comes in when their responses from other is revealed. A
confident person will show humility toward other and on the other hand an arrogant person will show
no concern for others. Usually people who are arrogant tend to have insecurity within them. An
arrogant person will run away from areas that show weakness and play up areas of strength. As oppose
to a confident persons who will acknowledge their weakness or faults. In Kerefoot,(2010) the author

that? Is Baumol s cost disease likely to remain relevant to the debate about public services?
Introduction
This essay examines Baumols s cost disease giving reasons why it is unpopular with politicians from
both ends of the political spectrum, and also presents further salient factors that makes Baumol s cost
disease relevant to debates about public services.
The discussion begins with an analysis of the meaning of Baumol s cost disease, then looks at the
characteristics of the public sector which may include lack of efficiency and low productivity due to
being a sector that relies heavily on people and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From an economist s point of view, wage increases should be awarded as a result of increased
productivity. Productivity is defined by economists as the amount of physical output that can be
produced per working hour therefore an increase in productivity can only occurs as a result of this:
increased capital per worker, better management, improved technology, increase labor skill, and
economies of scale.
This definition of productivity allows the reader to conclude that rises in output per hour for each
worker are more likely to happen in sectors of the economy which rely heavily on machinery and
equipment during the process of production. By way of contrast, the public sector relies heavily on
people.
The public sector, despite improvements in technology, expansion of information and knowledge
which have provided most people with access to ways of improving their work and performance, the
fact that this sector of the economy relies so heavily on people and it s managed by the government in
one of its several roles makes it very inefficient. However its expected that the government should
engage in efficiently allocating the resources they are in charge of managing.
The economic problem of what to produce, how to produce i.e. production methodologies, and

Rasipuram Krishnaswami Narayan, shortly called as R.K.Narayan is the most respected novelist

He was the Indian stock novelist, who has spent his life in the city of Mysore in South India. He came
to novel writing from journalism. His series of Malgudi, novels have put him into the forefront of Indo
Anglican literature. R.K.Narayan is much beloved by his modern readers than any other writer. He
deserves both praise and appraisal in larger and more discerning terms than he seems to have received

One day, unexpectedly the astrologer encounters with a stranger, with whom he had picked up a
quarrel and stabbed him, thinking that he had murdered. On seeing, his victim alive the astrologer felt
happy and relieved and immediately accepts, for the challenge offered by the stranger. The stranger
could not identify the astrologer because he was disguised as a real astrologer. When the astrologer
gave accurate and precise predictions about the stranger s past, the stranger was astonished, for which
the astrologer replies that he knew, as he knew many other things, but he knew nothing except the
client s past, because he was his youth friend turned enemy. The height of the ironic humor is in the
narration of the situation, where the astrologer was trapped before the stranger, who was committed to
find the whereabouts about his enemy and take revenge on him. When the stranger questions about his
present destination, there was conflict in the astrologer s mind but instantly the astrologer uses his
presence of mind and convinces the stranger, which is revealed in a more detached manner as: When
shall I get at him? he asked, clenching his first. In the next world answered the astrologer, ........You

Evolutionary Theories Of Human Behavior
Before discussing this question it is important to understand how neurotransmission occurs. Firstly,
the neuron impulse needs to be triggered, dopamine for example can be triggered by something a
human finds pleasurable such as cigarettes or food. After the neuron is triggered it fires the impulse
across the neuron releasing dopamine transmitters into the synaptic gap. From there, the
neurotransmitter binds with specific receptor sites to activate the dopamine. Almost immediately after
the human is filled with joy and pleasure. This explains how (especially in addicts) the site of things
can cause pleasure and affect human behavior in a positive way. Contradicting this however if there is
a problem or lack of dopamine, the human will have feelings ... Show more content on

Historically disgust would have allowed human ancestors to survive long and produce strong offspring
because they would avoid harmful or rancid food or animals. Because of this, similar genes would
have been passed to the next generation. One case study that represents how disgust has become an
acquired and evolutionary trait that explains human behavior is Fessler (2006). In this cases study
Fessler hypothesized that disgust would help in keeping the potential fetus safe from harm. In order to
best prove this 496 healthy pregnant women from ages 18 to 50 in an online survey were given
different images and asked to rank them on the scale system of disgust. This study discovered that
women in their first trimester largely scored higher on the level of disgust compared to that of women
in the second and third trimester. Furthermore, when the study was controlled more greatly it was
found that higher levels of sickness were in response to that of food. This study helps supports disgust
being an evolutionary trait passed on by humans because it helps young offspring fight potential
disease as well as assist in the reproduction of offspring for having a greater survival chance.Within
biological psychology, one of the primary principle states that there are biological correlates on
behavior. By this, there are genetically acquired behavioral traits such as hormones and
neurotransmitters that explains why humans have particular behaviors. One case study that helps to
prove this theory is newcomer et al 1999. In this study participants were broken up into three groups,
group one given the highest amount of cortisol had tablets that were 160 mg of cortisol for four days.
Following this was group two who were given 40 mg of cortisol for also for 4 days, and lastly group
three was given a placebo tablet. Cortisol is a

Descriptive Essay On The Getty Museum
Driving down the 405 freeway will now be a different experience for myself. Prior to the weekend of
June 11, 2017, The Getty Museum was always a mystery. There are a several things I really enjoyed
about the museum. It was surprising to learn the Getty Center is free for everyone that attends. When
arriving we of course had to pay for parking, which was fifteen dollars for an all day parking pass.
With the parking pass, the museum allows you to leave and return once within the same day. This is
ideal for those who rather get food off the museum s property. When arriving at the museum we rode
on a six minute tram ride. The tram ride was included in the price of parking. Walking up to the
museum s entrance was an experience of its own. The architecture was entertaining. There were
several areas that grabbed the viewers attention. After speaking to a museum employee, I was able to
notice different areas with in the museum. The architect used large pooped out stones to grab the
viewers attention. These pooped out stones provide a path to view points with in the museum. For
example; one pooped out stone showed a view of the Central Garden, another lead us to a view of Los
Angeles. The views were beautiful from the guided points. The museum was broke up into different
pavilions. Each pavilion had a different theme, it was very easy to locate each pavilion and artwork
within the building. One pavilion had a Changing Exhibition. While visiting the theme of the West
Pavilion was The Lure of Italy: Artist Views. I soon realized all areas of the museum change to help
protect the art on display. Areas of the Getty Museum included several painting galleries, sculpture,
decorative art galleries, architecture, gardens and of course the changing exhibits. While walking
through the buildings it was fascinating to see all the different styles of art on display. Artists all have
their own techniques when creating their expression of what they see. Many paintings dated back to
the 1700 s and seemed to have very little cracks or signs of age within the paintings. While
experiencing the painting galleries, I was hopeful to find a painting by both Vincent van Gogh and
Claude Monet. To my surprise the museum had one piece by

The Discursive View Of Identity
In alignment with one of the key points from the previous section, which denies the integral and
unified account of identity, this section elaborates the discursive view of identity. In order to
understand this shift in conceptualising identity, we will revisit the simple definition of identity from
Longman dictionary (section 9.1.1). The later part of this definition, specifically, the second key
phrase different from other people brings about the discussion of the discursive approach to identity.
Departing from the essentialist viewpoint of identity as a stable core of self, later literatures have
advocated a close relation between the processes of intersubjectivity and the crucial role of the others
in identity construction (Hall, 2000). As a nature of human beings, the process of identification is seen
as a universal need to belong to a group, to reflect on others, thus define themselves and others. In
other words, it is to say that identity is constructed through difference and experienced by contrast
(Benveniste, 2000). Specifically, [i]n common sense language, identification is constructed on the
back of recognition of some common origin or shared characteristics with another person or group, or
with an ideal, and with the natural closure of solidarity and allegiance established on this foundation
(Hall, 2000:16). The common origin or shared characteristics here do not adhere to the essentialist
viewpoint of identity as an identical and unchangeable stage of

Similarities Between Greek Mythology And The Holy Bible
Greek mythology and The Holy Bible are writings from the ancient civilizations. The proximity
regarding some narratives between the two publications brings about a great deal of curiosity to
inquiring minds. How and why do both texts reveal interchangeable associations and can this
phenomenon be explained?
In ancient Greece, Greek mythology began to emerge. Mythological narratives began to erupt for the
purpose of giving an explanation to certain social, religious, and environmental phenomena. Greek
stories included gods, goddesses, heroes and non human creatures.
Unlike Mythology, The Bible s narratives are actual events that took place dating back to the
beginning of time. The beginning of The Holy Bible s compilation started thousands of years ago in
the land of Egypt. The Old Testament Scriptures were written in Hebrew and were later translated into
the Greek, however, The New Testament writings were first constructed in the Greek language. Over
forty men transcribed what was told to him by God and as a result, sixty six books make up the entire
Holy Bible. The Holy Scriptures explained the creations, formation of the world, who God is, who
God s chosen peoples are, sin, and the plan of salvation as well.
Homer s The Odyssey, is an epic poem of mythology which includes twenty four books. The ancient
text centers its topics of discussion around the Trojan War, a hero named Odysseus and the challenges
he faced throughout the text. The abduction of Queen Helen by the

Basic Problem Of The Warehouse
1. Basic Problem In this case, the basic problem is that the current two Hiram Miller Office Products
Division warehouses are outdated. These warehouses are structurally unsound to be handling all
distributional activities. The old warehouses cannot meet the company s high level of sales of $33
million. The management team will need to source a solution to either relocate or cut back service
some classes of customers in the near future. 2. Support for Basic Problem The outdated warehouses
have been operating in a disorganized logistical fashion. There are three elevators in the main
warehouse, which are most often out of service, and when it is operational the high volume of
movements from each floor creates a bottleneck at the elevator. This forces the stock people to use the
stairwells. The six story, 80,000 sqaure foot warehouse on Jefferson Street, which was built in early
1950 s, was one of the oldest offices supply dealerships in the U.S. In this warehouse there are no
mechanized material handling equipment that is accompanied by weak floors. There are six docks that
are unable to accommodate 53 foot trailers. This small dock capacity creates a back up in the street of
8 10 trucks that resulted in violating traffic laws. Although the police department would turn their
heads the other way in exchange for a free shopping trip in the retail store. The limited dock space
forces shippers to be called once an order was complete to receive and ship. These space constraints

The Brewing Business Is Extremely Competitive
The brewing business is extremely competitive. As lager has advanced into fully grown category, the
industry has encountered an escalation in mergers and acquisitions, product differentiation and global
strategy. Overall 650 beers compete across the nations in this category, the top 10 defraying over
$22M annually (Taylor 2004). The market is dominated by the giant 10 brands that form up 77% of
the market. The top 20 occupy 87% which leaves Tiger and its 0.1% SOV to battle against the
remaining 620 premium beers for 13% of the market. Included in this last 13% are power house global
brands like Heineken Export, Corona, Stella Artois and Becks (Taylor 2004).
Competitive insight: World acclaimed Asian beer highlight on the quality of beer.
Insight explanation: Focusing on Asian market, Beer is predominantly a Western cultural import and
Singapore is not known as a beer brewing nation and hence, the beer needs validation from the West
to be seen as a greater beer (Jacky 2008). And the brand needs to be strongly identified with its
category. It must be seen as the category leader. It must be seen as the brand that defines a category.
But the common denominator is that Tiger Beer is a lager beer. Jacky (2008) comprehends that while
breaking down the process of how Tiger Beer s customers look at the beer, you will probably find that
Tiger Beer is an award winning Asian lager beer that is enjoyed by all around the world .

The main similarities taken away from the movie is the similarities between these two princes that is

their fathers made them try and forget and redeem their deaths. A difference between these two movies

Symbolism In La Inferno
For centuries writers have used symbolism in literature to garner the attention of readers. One of the
finest examples of this is La Comedia or The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. Critics, in particular,
recognize the first canticle of the comedy, The Inferno, as an unequivocal masterpiece of visual and
allegorical imagery. Dante very skillfully weaves figurative language with tangible physical
descriptions to achieve an unparalleled poetic work that continues to have immeasurable influence on
western literature to this day. Every aspect of The Inferno is gravid with endless symbolism
specifically referencing mankind s sins and the subsequent retributions dealt to those who commit
them by a wrathful God. This accords Dante s poetic work with its iconic complexity and attaches
deeper meaning to his adventurous journey through hell.
The Divine Comedy in its entirety is nothing but a parable into the spiritual journey of human life. In
Canto 1, Dante, the protagonist, in the middle years of his life, tries to navigate his way out of a dark
and scary forest in search of light. Dante uses the dark forest as a metaphor for sin, and the light he
seeks as God in heaven. As he attempts to get through the forest he is confronted by three beasts. He
describes the encounters as I faced a spotted Leopard,...../And it would not pass... (1:33 34), ... great
Lion that broke upon me/ raging with hunger... (1:44 45), and ... a She Wolf drove upon me, ...starved
horror/ ravening and wasted. (1:48 49). These three beasts the Leopard, the Lion, and the She Wolf, by
virtue of their salient characteristics, symbolize the three different categories of sins malice and fraud,
violence and pride, and greed and lust, respectively. The leopard, with its spotted pelt, is considered a
master of disguise, biding its time to strike down prey at the most optimal moment; akin to a malicious
person who often presents himself respectably and hides his true motives. The lion is known to satisfy
his individual needs through violence and aggression and is thus able to establish himself as the top
predator in the food chain. Similarly, humans are known to resort to violent means to fulfill their needs
and ambitions. The she wolf, the last

Organisational Culture And Organizational Culture
Organisational culture refers to the shared beliefs and values guiding the thinking and behavioural
styles of members (Cooke and Rousseau, 1988, in Bratton 2010: 334), indicating that employees who
accept the common values of an organisation and put great effort on commitments are likely to build
up a strong culture to an organisation. Edgar Schein (2004) proposed three levels of organisational
culture. As employees go through changes, they gain experiences from the past, adapt to a new
environment and develop ability to solve problem. The first level is artefacts, which include all visible
characteristics of an organisation, for instance, the architectures/furniture in the office, uniforms of
employees and language. These are the observable elements of an organisational culture and might
influence the way and attitude of how the employees work. The second level is espoused values in
which the influence patterns of observable behaviour at work can be recognised. Each member will
impose dominant values and rules of conduct about the culture and these affect employees certainty to
work under a particular area. The perceived value that can demonstrate reliability and be scientifically
tested will be transformed into assumption. It then comes to the third stage of basic assumptions which
are taken into granted and are difficult to change. When an assumption or belief about human nature
was supported to be worked successfully, this frames how the reality should be and shapes

just knowing about all the drama in the society and being indirectly involved would be a lot of stress

Pan Am flight 103 was just a normal routine transatlantic flight that took off from San Francisco and
was en route to London for its first layover. The flight took place on December 21st, 1988. Pan Am
flight 103 was on its transatlantic leg when it was blown into pieces by a bomb. The explosion killed
all 259 passengers on board and took 11 lives on the ground in Lockerbie, Scotland. Right after the

they found the link to two Liberian nationalists. In 1999, Gaddafi finally handed over the two men for

The Boeing 747 took runaway 27R and began its route to New York Kennedy at 1825 hours Zulu, just

the Burnham VOR. As they started to approach the Burnham VOR, the Boeing 747 changed to a

Legal And Ethical Issues Of Human Cloning
Cloning by definition taken from the Oxford Dictionary is a plant or an animal that produced naturally
or artificially from the cells of another plant or animal and so the same as it. The first cloned adult
mammal is a sheep named Dolly. The aim of research into human cloning has never been to clone
people, or to make babies. The original aim of human cloning research is to get stem cell to cure a
disease. It is inevitable that one day this knowledge of human cloning would be abused. As time goes
by, the scientist started to think deeply and this is how the concept of cloned human being introduced.
There are a few reasons why the human cloning is illegal by the laws. Human cloning research faces

This issue continues to be a significant national and international policy issue although most countries
still do not have specific cloning laws (Bonnicksen A., 2002).
Body Paragraph 1
The first problem that human cloning encounter is it is one of unethical processes because it involves
the alteration of the human genetic and human may be harmed, either during experimentation or by
expectations after birth. Cloning, like all science, must be used responsibly. Cloning human is not
desirable. But cloning sheep has its uses. , as quoted by Mary Seller, a member of the Church of
England s Board of Social Responsibility (Amy Logston, 1999). Meaning behind this word are
showing us that cloning have both advantages and disadvantages. The concept of cloning is hurting
many human sentiments and human believes. Given the high rates of morbidity and mortality in the
cloning of other mammals, we believe that cloning to produce children would be extremely unsafe,

Dear Mr. Thompson:
I have watched the YouTube video called The Oil Sands Industry and Canada s Future . I have several
concerns regarding some of the statements that you and a few others made during the video. I believe
that when it comes to oil sands, there are a lot more negatives than positives that come with them.
All oil sand companies are supposed to reclaim lands that have been disturbed due to oil sand
operations to their natural state. 10% of the land that has been used by oil sand companies has been
reclaimed to their natural state since 1967. That means that the other 90% of the land has not been
returned to its natural state. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Top Of The Line Hearing Protection
3M Peltor WS 100 Communications Headset Review | Top of the Line Hearing Protection
In this review I will be taking at a top of the line Bluetooth enabled set of ear protection from 3M
called teh Peltor WS 100 Communications Headset. This particular set of headphones is great for
sound protection, especially if you re looking for high quality sound and the ability to engage in
person to person and phone conversations without having to remove your earmuffs.
Quick Review
INSERT CHART
In Depth Review of 3M Peltor WS 100 Communications Headset
Noise Reduction Rating (NRR)
These headphones have a NRR of 20 dB, which isn t an extreme level of protection, but it is still
really good and will be more than enough for just about every workplace and/or yard noise. In
addition to protecting your ears, these headphones also work to increase low level sounds and
decrease higher level sounds. This means that, even when wearing your Pelter hearing protection, you
ll still be able to hear people talking to you!
Another really great feature that 3M has built into these is how they protect your hearing not only
from outside noises, but also from the audio playing through the built in speakers. It has two settings
to reduce the Bluetooth sound to no more than 82 dB at all times or an 82 dB average over an 8 hour
period (which is the maximum length of exposure for that level of dB over that period of time).
Battery Life

Preservation In Beowulf
Preservation is of utmost importance to human kind preservation of one s culture, pastimes, and even
individual life. This longing for immortality has existed since humanity s origin and has resulted in
fine works of art relished by many today. The Anglo Saxons preserved their own identities through
their literature, such as the epic poem, Beowulf. Much of Beowulf s value today stems largely from its
genre s definition. Beowulf s primary focus follows the profound, often supernatural escapades of its
epic hero, the human embodiment of the cultural values of his contemporaries, who inevitably
determines the fate of the people he represents, defining the work as an indisputably epic poem
(Wheeler). Beowulf, the principle character whom the epic

Transcription:
DNA consists of two strands. One is the coding strand and the other is the template stand. In
transcription there is an enzyme called RNA polymerase that unzips the two strands. This allows RNA
nucleotides (uracil, adenine, guanine and cytosine) to enter the DNA and connect to the corresponding
DNA nucleotides (thymine, adenine, guanine and cytosine) on the template strand. After the
nucleotides have been paired, phosphodiester bonds, bond the RNA nucleotides together and this
creates a continuous strain of mRNA which is capable of leaving the cell s nucleus, whereas the DNA
cannot as the molecule is too big. Once the mRNA has moved out of the nucleus it moves to a
ribosome. (1)

reference to social science literature and official reports.
Safeguarding children can best be described as an action taken to promote the welfare of children and
protect them from harm, this involves protecting children from abuse and maltreatment and preventing
harm to children s health or development. (NSPCC, 2016).
Multi agency partnerships in safeguarding children look to identify the goals, circumstances and needs

the every child matters guidelines, the main aims are to improve the sharing of information between
the agencies and Oversee arrangements for agencies to work collaboratively in the commissioning,
delivery and integration of services. (Cheminais R, 2009:2).
There are many benefits to working within a multi agency partnership, it not only allows for
professional views from different professionals from a variety of different professions but it also
allows for an individual to receive specifically tailored help top overcome their own situations in
regards to health and welfare, However despite the benefits to multi agency partnerships in

In 1995 and 1996 the judicial systems around the world realized that there was a problem with

I Introduction
The de centralization of electronic discovery (e discovery) rules (laws) brings challenges when
searching for evidence in Electronically Stored Information (ESI), both nationally and internationally.
If a litigation case covers more than one jurisdiction a lawyer will need to be hired that knows each
particular jurisdiction. The reason that a lawyer familiar with that particular United States (US) district
court, from herein referred to as districts; will need to be hired, is due to the differences in the local
rules throughout the districts. To summarize David Canfield (2012), several states have adopted new
civil procedures since the 2006 Amendments that may be incorporated in the Federal rules for future
amendments (Canfield, 2012, p.p. 1 2). District judges play an active role in tailoring e discovery
needs to individual cases (Allman, T., 2013) and the local adoption of federal rules cause inconsistent
rules throughout the country is the cause of these differences (Allman, T., 2013). Regulations that

Juvenile Delinquency And The Nature Of Police Juvenile
There is substantial concern about rates of juvenile delinquency and the nature of police juvenile
encounters fueled most recently by the Black Lives Matter campaigns nationwide toward improved
police youth interactions. Yet, there are knowledge gaps on how best to proceed. There is insufficient
information on the prevalence and nature of police juvenile encounters in the rural areas of
Mississippi, specifically, the Delta region. This lack of information means that policy makers and
academics are responding non empirically to matters of police juvenile rural encounters. In lieu of
using data on the region then, responses are likely crafted based on the urban policing literature.
Therefore, this study is to offer insights on factors that influence police behavior when encountering
juveniles in rural areas, specifically police use of authority and, or the offer of support and assistance
at the street level.
To understand how police respond when they encounter juveniles while on patrol, Black s (1976)
behavior of law theoretical perspective offers a framework. Black s (1976) contribution to the
behavior law is that there are other factors besides law and police departmental policies that influence
police discretion to either arrest a juvenile in conflict with the law or to provide other support. The
factors include: the social aspects of life namely, stratification, morphology, culture, organization and,
social control.

How Did Shakespeare Impact The British Culture
Navneet Kaur
CP British Literature 3 B
Mr. Wasemiller
19 February, 2015
How Shakespeare Impacted the British History? Shakespeare s influence on the British culture in the
21st century remains unwavering. Although William Shakespeare is viewed as the quintessential
English writer, Shakespeare s poems and plays have altered the course of European and World
literature. The shadow that William Shakespeare has cast over the world has influenced artists, poets,
philosophers and thinkers. (William Shakespeare Biography, n.d.). Because of him, our society has a
different view of the English culture. William Shakespeare was born in the town of Stratford, London
on April 26, 1564 where he was baptized. He was the third of the eight children of the family and also
the longest surviving child ( The Life of William Shakespeare , n.d.). He was the son of John
Shakespeare, a council member of a municipal and well renown glover. John began dealing with
properties, wool, and farming equipment that led him to making a fortune. After a few years he
married Mary Arden Shakespeare, who was a daughter of a prosperous landowner of a sixty acre farm.
Over the course of time, John Shakespeare s well running business died off. The condition of his work
began to decline. In a matter of time he was a rich business owner who would go from a civil servant
to a debtor to council member of the municipality. Around 1569, John Shakespeare was struggling to
pay his taxes on time due to no

Health Care Reflection
The patient I cared for today, was admitted into the NICU on October 17th. He was experiencing
respiratory distress, has breathed (aspirated) meconium into the lungs around the time of birth. The
neonate had stabilized, so the nurse and I were preparing for the family to discharge from the hospital.
The immediate needs that were verbalized by the patient were hunger cries and soiled diaper/ angry
cries. Immediate needs from the family were instruction on how much formula to feed the baby and
circumcision care once discharged home. During my clinical experience, the patient experienced pain
from the circumcision process. The health care team members alleviated the physical suffering by
administrating lidocaine pain medication and giving the baby sugar water. I think the only
improvement that I would make to these interventions would be to administer the lidocaine earlier so
that it could be more effective in the patient s pain management. Long term needs for the patient were
speech therapy in order to improve the baby s feeding technique, infection prevention, and teaching
measures for the parents. The needs could be met through referral to a speech therapist upon discharge
from the hospital, teaching family members proper handwashing, and educating parents on subject
matters.
The healthcare team interacted with the patient and family in an excellent fashion. They utilized the
teach back method when educating parents about infant care, used compassionate care, and used open

Factors Contribute Toward Increasing Job Satisfaction And
factors contribute toward increasing job satisfaction and motivating an employee into a higher
performance. Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs Theory:
This theory follows a category of needs that need to be fulfilled for an individual to feel satisfied.
Maslow s categorizes them in a hierarchical order where there are low tier needs that are basic and
have to be fulfilled in order to satisfy the upper tier needs that are more important. This aspect
explains the motivation theory as one is determined to satisfy the low tier needs and motivated to
satisfy the upper and luxurious needs. These five needs are as follow (Jerome, 2013):
Physiological needs: these are the basic for needs amenities of life such as air, food, water, and ...

Expectancy Theory:
Vroom s expectancy theory is different from the content theories of Maslow and Herzberg.
Expectancy theory is based on a result of conscious choices among alternatives that reflects individual
distinction in performance motivation (Lunenburg, 2011). it further states that there are a relationships
between the effort put at a work and the result of their performance from that effort such as rewards.
expectancy is the estimate of the performance level expected in relation to the effort put. It ranges
between 0 and 1. Valence on the other hand is the strength either positive or negative of an employee s
preference towards a promised reward. It ranges from 1 to +1. When this is factored in
instrumentality; the estimate that a certain performance causes varying work outcomes, the formula
for motivation is obtained. Motivation = Expectancy x Instrumentality x Valence
(Including the 4 assumptions of the expectancy theory) (Lunenburg, 2011)
The expectancy theory however, has its own methods of employee motivation. Effort to performance
expectancy encourages leaders to increase their faith in employees that they will complete the job.
Increasing training, hiring qualified employees, providing enough time and suggesting improvements
to the tasks promote effort to performance expectancy. Performance to reward expectancy encourages
employers to

Reinforcing the Luxury Brand Experience in An Omni Channel Setting with Strategic Online Visual
Merchandising
Introduction
Over the past decade, the consumer has taken the lead in online brand perceptions and
conceptualizations. Multi channel business practices are becoming more adaptive with its fast growing
and evolving consumer market. It is essential that retailers in the 21st century acknowledge the
success of multi channel businesses. The function of multiple channel retail, also commonly known as
omni channel, is to coordinate a coherent way of managing, integrating information, and delivering
service and products to the end customer online and in store. In both mass retail and in luxury retail,
having more than one channel is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Luxury retail is built on foundations of creativity, innovation, exclusivity, and craftsmanship. High
end, luxury stores invest heavily in the creativity in their products as well as their retail merchandising
in their elegantly embellished stores to match its brand image. Exquisite showrooms with private
booking is just one way to accommodate a serious buyer. Thus, it is logically paradoxical that the
innate characteristics of luxury becomes open to the public with the internet. Furthermore, the
difficulties in mirroring the physical experience into an online experience lies in the existing gap of
strategies between the online versus the offline business applications. Our mobile phones, tablets, and
computers may provide the composite mirage and manifestation of real world information, however,
can websites transcribe the elegance of retail experience from the physical store online? Bridging a
tactile versus non tactile platform in order to generate a more seamless, multi channel approach to
retailing has been an obstacle for luxury retailers. According to a report published by McKinsey and
Company, fashion players are working hard to deliver a seamless, integrated shopping journey across
touchpoints (Mckinsey Co., 2017). Similarly, in an interview by The Business of Fashion with 24
Sevres founder, Ian Rogers states, you have to have the product, but you also have to merchandise the
product in a way that brings people back because you re an

The Evolution Of Information Management Systems
The evolution of technology and the importance of information management systems have led to the
evolution of new experts in the industry known as Data Scientists who work on data science. Despite
the hype and confusion surrounding data science, the need for people who can interpret data to help
organizations make informed business decisions is very real. Data scientists look at the data sets in
nature or complex systems and extract information from it. In today s age businesses have started to
gain tons of data and science already knew how to deal with such large volumes trough physics,
applied mathematics and computer science.
Traditionally any information management system has been defined as the collection and management
of information from one or more sources and information dissemination to relevant stakeholders.
However, the message that is missing in this definition is that the quality of information system
determines the outcome of the information even before data collection . A poor information system
would drive employees to take decisions and form opinions based on assumptions rather than
substance. There would be no synergy of thoughts and thus would lead to conflicting views of
managers and leaders. Hence, it is imperative for information management system to be in line with
the business strategy. And therefore Data scientists must be a part of senior management meetings and
business objectives must be clearly discussed and shared to enable him prepare

Media Convergence And Its Impact On The Contemporary Society
Introduction
The rapid enhancement of technology in the contemporary society leads the phenomenon called media
convergence . This is a process that developing the interactive communication constantly across
multiple media platforms around the globe. Moreover, after human beings entered the twenty first
century, along with the development of digital and network technologies, media convergence patterns
have become more mature on account of three major factors technology, economic and market
(Langtry, 2012). Moreover, the technical factor mainly refers to the digital and network technologies
bring the interoperability, interchangeability and connectivity of media, so that the media convergence
has become a possible and an inevitable. However, Media convergence is not only a simply
technological shift but also alters the relationships between the existing technologies, industries,
markets, genres and audiences (Jenkins, 2004, p.33). Indeed, media convergence is an accommodative
process for the existing media, communication industries and cultures to adapt with new technologies
(Dwyer, 2010, p.2). Along with the technological development, which is integrating the resources of
different mediums, this operation of media convergence brings both changes and challenges in the
media industry (Thomas, 2011). However, advertising industry is one of the sectors of
communications and cultural industry that cannot avoid media convergence. This literature review

  • 8. Evolutionary Theories Of Human Behavior Before discussing this question it is important to understand how neurotransmission occurs. Firstly, the neuron impulse needs to be triggered, dopamine for example can be triggered by something a human finds pleasurable such as cigarettes or food. After the neuron is triggered it fires the impulse across the neuron releasing dopamine transmitters into the synaptic gap. From there, the neurotransmitter binds with specific receptor sites to activate the dopamine. Almost immediately after the human is filled with joy and pleasure. This explains how (especially in addicts) the site of things can cause pleasure and affect human behavior in a positive way. Contradicting this however if there is a problem or lack of dopamine, the human will have feelings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Historically disgust would have allowed human ancestors to survive long and produce strong offspring because they would avoid harmful or rancid food or animals. Because of this, similar genes would have been passed to the next generation. One case study that represents how disgust has become an acquired and evolutionary trait that explains human behavior is Fessler (2006). In this cases study Fessler hypothesized that disgust would help in keeping the potential fetus safe from harm. In order to best prove this 496 healthy pregnant women from ages 18 to 50 in an online survey were given different images and asked to rank them on the scale system of disgust. This study discovered that women in their first trimester largely scored higher on the level of disgust compared to that of women in the second and third trimester. Furthermore, when the study was controlled more greatly it was found that higher levels of sickness were in response to that of food. This study helps supports disgust being an evolutionary trait passed on by humans because it helps young offspring fight potential disease as well as assist in the reproduction of offspring for having a greater survival chance.Within biological psychology, one of the primary principle states that there are biological correlates on behavior. By this, there are genetically acquired behavioral traits such as hormones and neurotransmitters that explains why humans have particular behaviors. One case study that helps to prove this theory is newcomer et al 1999. In this study participants were broken up into three groups, group one given the highest amount of cortisol had tablets that were 160 mg of cortisol for four days. Following this was group two who were given 40 mg of cortisol for also for 4 days, and lastly group three was given a placebo tablet. Cortisol is a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Descriptive Essay On The Getty Museum Driving down the 405 freeway will now be a different experience for myself. Prior to the weekend of June 11, 2017, The Getty Museum was always a mystery. There are a several things I really enjoyed about the museum. It was surprising to learn the Getty Center is free for everyone that attends. When arriving we of course had to pay for parking, which was fifteen dollars for an all day parking pass. With the parking pass, the museum allows you to leave and return once within the same day. This is ideal for those who rather get food off the museum s property. When arriving at the museum we rode on a six minute tram ride. The tram ride was included in the price of parking. Walking up to the museum s entrance was an experience of its own. The architecture was entertaining. There were several areas that grabbed the viewers attention. After speaking to a museum employee, I was able to notice different areas with in the museum. The architect used large pooped out stones to grab the viewers attention. These pooped out stones provide a path to view points with in the museum. For example; one pooped out stone showed a view of the Central Garden, another lead us to a view of Los Angeles. The views were beautiful from the guided points. The museum was broke up into different pavilions. Each pavilion had a different theme, it was very easy to locate each pavilion and artwork within the building. One pavilion had a Changing Exhibition. While visiting the theme of the West Pavilion was The Lure of Italy: Artist Views. I soon realized all areas of the museum change to help protect the art on display. Areas of the Getty Museum included several painting galleries, sculpture, decorative art galleries, architecture, gardens and of course the changing exhibits. While walking through the buildings it was fascinating to see all the different styles of art on display. Artists all have their own techniques when creating their expression of what they see. Many paintings dated back to the 1700 s and seemed to have very little cracks or signs of age within the paintings. • 10. The Discursive View Of Identity In alignment with one of the key points from the previous section, which denies the integral and unified account of identity, this section elaborates the discursive view of identity. In order to understand this shift in conceptualising identity, we will revisit the simple definition of identity from Longman dictionary (section 9.1.1). The later part of this definition, specifically, the second key phrase different from other people brings about the discussion of the discursive approach to identity. Departing from the essentialist viewpoint of identity as a stable core of self, later literatures have advocated a close relation between the processes of intersubjectivity and the crucial role of the others in identity construction (Hall, 2000). As a nature of human beings, the process of identification is seen as a universal need to belong to a group, to reflect on others, thus define themselves and others. In other words, it is to say that identity is constructed through difference and experienced by contrast (Benveniste, 2000). Specifically, [i]n common sense language, identification is constructed on the back of recognition of some common origin or shared characteristics with another person or group, or with an ideal, and with the natural closure of solidarity and allegiance established on this foundation (Hall, 2000:16). The common origin or shared characteristics here do not adhere to the essentialist viewpoint of identity as an identical and unchangeable stage of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Similarities Between Greek Mythology And The Holy Bible Greek mythology and The Holy Bible are writings from the ancient civilizations. The proximity regarding some narratives between the two publications brings about a great deal of curiosity to inquiring minds. How and why do both texts reveal interchangeable associations and can this phenomenon be explained? In ancient Greece, Greek mythology began to emerge. Mythological narratives began to erupt for the purpose of giving an explanation to certain social, religious, and environmental phenomena. Greek stories included gods, goddesses, heroes and non human creatures. Unlike Mythology, The Bible s narratives are actual events that took place dating back to the beginning of time. The beginning of The Holy Bible s compilation started thousands of years ago in the land of Egypt. The Old Testament Scriptures were written in Hebrew and were later translated into the Greek, however, The New Testament writings were first constructed in the Greek language. Over forty men transcribed what was told to him by God and as a result, sixty six books make up the entire Holy Bible. The Holy Scriptures explained the creations, formation of the world, who God is, who God s chosen peoples are, sin, and the plan of salvation as well. Homer s The Odyssey, is an epic poem of mythology which includes twenty four books. The ancient text centers its topics of discussion around the Trojan War, a hero named Odysseus and the challenges he faced throughout the text. The abduction of Queen Helen by the ... • 12. Basic Problem Of The Warehouse 1. Basic Problem In this case, the basic problem is that the current two Hiram Miller Office Products Division warehouses are outdated. These warehouses are structurally unsound to be handling all distributional activities. The old warehouses cannot meet the company s high level of sales of $33 million. The management team will need to source a solution to either relocate or cut back service some classes of customers in the near future. 2. Support for Basic Problem The outdated warehouses have been operating in a disorganized logistical fashion. There are three elevators in the main warehouse, which are most often out of service, and when it is operational the high volume of movements from each floor creates a bottleneck at the elevator. This forces the stock people to use the stairwells. The six story, 80,000 sqaure foot warehouse on Jefferson Street, which was built in early 1950 s, was one of the oldest offices supply dealerships in the U.S. In this warehouse there are no mechanized material handling equipment that is accompanied by weak floors. There are six docks that are unable to accommodate 53 foot trailers. This small dock capacity creates a back up in the street of 8 10 trucks that resulted in violating traffic laws. • 15. Symbolism In La Inferno For centuries writers have used symbolism in literature to garner the attention of readers. One of the finest examples of this is La Comedia or The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. Critics, in particular, recognize the first canticle of the comedy, The Inferno, as an unequivocal masterpiece of visual and allegorical imagery. Dante very skillfully weaves figurative language with tangible physical descriptions to achieve an unparalleled poetic work that continues to have immeasurable influence on western literature to this day. Every aspect of The Inferno is gravid with endless symbolism specifically referencing mankind s sins and the subsequent retributions dealt to those who commit them by a wrathful God. This accords Dante s poetic work with its iconic complexity and attaches deeper meaning to his adventurous journey through hell. The Divine Comedy in its entirety is nothing but a parable into the spiritual journey of human life. In Canto 1, Dante, the protagonist, in the middle years of his life, tries to navigate his way out of a dark and scary forest in search of light. Dante uses the dark forest as a metaphor for sin, and the light he seeks as God in heaven. As he attempts to get through the forest he is confronted by three beasts. He describes the encounters as I faced a spotted Leopard,...../And it would not pass... (1:33 34), ... great Lion that broke upon me/ raging with hunger... (1:44 45), and ... a She Wolf drove upon me, ...starved horror/ ravening and wasted. (1:48 49). These three beasts the Leopard, the Lion, and the She Wolf, by virtue of their salient characteristics, symbolize the three different categories of sins malice and fraud, violence and pride, and greed and lust, respectively. The leopard, with its spotted pelt, is considered a master of disguise, biding its time to strike down prey at the most optimal moment; akin to a malicious person who often presents himself respectably and hides his true motives. The lion is known to satisfy his individual needs through violence and aggression and is thus able to establish himself as the top predator in the food chain. Similarly, humans are known to resort to violent means to fulfill their needs and ambitions. The she wolf, the last ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. Organisational Culture And Organizational Culture Organisational culture refers to the shared beliefs and values guiding the thinking and behavioural styles of members (Cooke and Rousseau, 1988, in Bratton 2010: 334), indicating that employees who accept the common values of an organisation and put great effort on commitments are likely to build up a strong culture to an organisation. Edgar Schein (2004) proposed three levels of organisational culture. As employees go through changes, they gain experiences from the past, adapt to a new environment and develop ability to solve problem. The first level is artefacts, which include all visible characteristics of an organisation, for instance, the architectures/furniture in the office, uniforms of employees and language. These are the observable elements of an organisational culture and might influence the way and attitude of how the employees work. The second level is espoused values in which the influence patterns of observable behaviour at work can be recognised. Each member will impose dominant values and rules of conduct about the culture and these affect employees certainty to work under a particular area. The perceived value that can demonstrate reliability and be scientifically tested will be transformed into assumption. It then comes to the third stage of basic assumptions which are taken into granted and are difficult to change. After the nucleotides have been paired, phosphodiester bonds, bond the RNA nucleotides together and this creates a continuous strain of mRNA which is capable of leaving the cell s nucleus, whereas the DNA cannot as the molecule is too big. Juvenile Delinquency And The Nature Of Police Juvenile There is substantial concern about rates of juvenile delinquency and the nature of police juvenile encounters fueled most recently by the Black Lives Matter campaigns nationwide toward improved police youth interactions. Yet, there are knowledge gaps on how best to proceed. There is insufficient information on the prevalence and nature of police juvenile encounters in the rural areas of Mississippi, specifically, the Delta region. This lack of information means that policy makers and academics are responding non empirically to matters of police juvenile rural encounters. In lieu of using data on the region then, responses are likely crafted based on the urban policing literature. Therefore, this study is to offer insights on factors that influence police behavior when encountering juveniles in rural areas, specifically police use of authority and, or the offer of support and assistance at the street level. To understand how police respond when they encounter juveniles while on patrol, Black s (1976) behavior of law theoretical perspective offers a framework. Black s (1976) contribution to the behavior law is that there are other factors besides law and police departmental policies that influence police discretion to either arrest a juvenile in conflict with the law or to provide other support. Shakespeare s influence on the British culture in the 21st century remains unwavering. Although William Shakespeare is viewed as the quintessential English writer, Shakespeare s poems and plays have altered the course of European and World literature. The shadow that William Shakespeare has cast over the world has influenced artists, poets, philosophers and thinkers. (William Shakespeare Biography, n.d.). Because of him, our society has a different view of the English culture. William Shakespeare was born in the town of Stratford, London on April 26, 1564 where he was baptized. He was the third of the eight children of the family and also the longest surviving child ( The Life of William Shakespeare , n.d.). He was the son of John Shakespeare, a council member of a municipal and well renown glover. John began dealing with properties, wool, and farming equipment that led him to making a fortune. It ranges between 0 and 1. Valence on the other hand is the strength either positive or negative of an employee s preference towards a promised reward. It ranges from 1 to +1. When this is factored in instrumentality; the estimate that a certain performance causes varying work outcomes, the formula for motivation is obtained. Motivation = Expectancy x Instrumentality x Valence (Including the 4 assumptions of the expectancy theory) (Lunenburg, 2011) The expectancy theory however, has its own methods of employee motivation. Effort to performance expectancy encourages leaders to increase their faith in employees that they will complete the job. Increasing training, hiring qualified employees, providing enough time and suggesting improvements to the tasks promote effort to performance expectancy. Performance to reward expectancy encourages employers to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
