The New Rules Of A Project Manager Essay
Meredith (2006) mentioned that selecting a project manager is one of the two most important decision
concerning the project. He mentioned the project manager should have credibility and sensitivity.
However, in other books mentioned that PM not only should have credibility and sensitivity but also
vision, courage, integrity, and discipline Visioner John P. Kotter described a project without vision is a
region that is unknown which is a stretch of unmapped future. In his book The New Rules: How to
Succeed in Today s Post Corporate World , he mentioned that the main destruction is there is no any
vision from PM. Benis and Nanus, (1997: 19) defines vision as: Something that articulates a view of a
realistic, credible, attracttive future for the organization, a condition that is better in some important
ways than what now exists Furthermore becah (1993) said that the vision is a general formulation of
the desired state at the end of the plan period to achieve the goals that may be achieved within a
certain period. Visionary leader is a leader whose in running the organization s activities emphasize
the vision that has been set together from planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating as a
manifestation of the organization. A PM must be visionary because it can foster the commitment of its
employees. One easy way to visualize the vision is by imagining what we want to achieve an
organization in the future. PMs who are on a mission with his team will strive in

Stereotyping Of Dolphins
Imagine you are a sales representative for a makeup company. You re making your monthly run
through your neighborhood, you become disappointed that no one wants to buy any of the makeup
you re selling. Then you realize, you had not been to the mansion at the top of the large hill in your
hometown. You arrive at the front yard of the mansion and you re amazed by the many hedges that are
many different shapes and sizes. For example, there are dinosaurs and dolphins. They are unlike
anything you have seen before. You knock on the door and no one answers so you just walk in. Once
you are up in the attic, you see a man wearing dark clothing and that is sitting all alone. You say,
Come on, I won t hurt you. He begins to walk to towards you and

REVIEW OF
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
CHIKE CYRIL AMAEFULE
Griffith School of Engineering, Griffith University, Gold Coast, QLD4222, Australia
This paper presents a review of an advanced topic in engineering management. It should consist of
one paragraph giving a concise summary of the material in the article below. Replace the title, authors,
and addresses with your own title, authors, and addresses. You may have as many authors and
addresses as you like. It is preferable not to use footnotes in the abstract or the title; the
acknowledgments of funding bodies etc. are to be placed in a separate section at the end of the text.
Keywords: 4 6 words separated by commas
1. Introduction
1.1. Overview of knowledge management in software company s their principle resources are not
plants, structures, or costly machines, instead its primary resource could be regarded as its intellectual
capital, as it is in areas, for example, counselling, law, finance and advertising. The significant issue
with scholarly capital is that it has legs and strolls home each day. At the same rate experience exits
the entryway, fresh graduates with little or no experience strolls in the door. Regardless of whether
numerous software companies acknowledge it, they confront the test of supporting the level of
expertise expected to win contracts and satisfy endeavors (Rus and Lindvall 2002).

Racial Stereotyping Of African Americans Essay
Introduction What does it mean to be stereotyped? The definition of stereotype is Stereotyping may be
defined as the tendency to attribute generalized and simplified characteristics to groups of people in
the form of verbal labels, and to act towards the members of those groups in terms of those labels
(Kanahara, 2006) When asked to pick a topic and do a research study, I decided that the topic of racial
stereotyping would be efficient. As I began to watch movies I started to see a trend. I saw African
Americans being portrayed as being violent, uneducated, and ghetto. European Americans were
portrayed as being self absorbed, materialistic, and privileged. What I want to know is if different
races are being stereotyped in media for the sake of entertainment. Over time it seemed like the media
would perceive African Americans as thugs. Not only were African American s stereotyped as thugs,
but they re also seen as being ghetto. African American s are not the only ones stereotyped, but so are
Hispanics and Asians. Hispanics in media are portrayed as being illegal immigrants, uneducated, and
housekeepers. Asians are portrayed as foreigners, geeks, and kung fu fighters. Literature Review A
study over social issues done by Mastro mentions that in our history we have yet to experience a
world free from complications of race. One thing she mentions that contributes to race complications
is the mass media. Not only are we influenced by movies and television, but from the

Andy Goldsworthy Case Study
Andy Goldsworthy is a famous British sculptor whose influences come primarily from the
environment around him and the way society interacts with nature. His work is constructed solely
from objects found in the environment he is working in the aim of the work itself to become a part of
the environment around it, interacting with it in a way that makes it seem entirely out of place yet still
in sync with what is around it. His own influences and connections to nature show through in the work
he creates illustrating his the relations and experiences he has found through the land.

D Day Essay
D Day and the impact it had on the small town of Bedford, Virginia How can a small county move on
and heal after such a significant loss of life? What would life be like immediately after and in the
future? These are a few of the questions that can be asked about Bedford county Virginia. On June 6,
1944, the Allied troops invaded Western Europe from the sea. The Allied armies spent several months
preparing for this large amphibious attack. There were air attacks that were meant to keep German
forces from moving troops in to protect these areas. So on June 6 the allied forces invaded the French
coastline to move the German army out of Western Europe. The invasion, known as the Normandy
Invasion, became known as D Day. General ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Bedford to represent all communities who had soldiers serve in World War II. Construction on the
memorial began in the late 1990 s based on the vision of Bob Slaughter who was on Omaha beach at
D Day. Slaughter began a foundation to raise money to begin building the memorial. In 1997
Congress made Bedford the official site of the memorial. The groundbreaking for the memorial was
on Veterans Day, November 11, 1997. President George W. Bush dedicated the National D Day
memorial on June 6, 2001. The memorial honors those who were part of the invasion of the beaches of
Normandy and is a tribute to those who lost their lives. The memorial sits on 9 acres and features 3
plazas each of which represents a specific stage of the D Day invasion from planning to victory. The
English Garden represents England and how it was a staging area for the invasion. In the English

Universal Studios Presents The 1960 Film Psycho
Universal Studios presents the 1960 film Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock, adapted from the Robert Bloch
novel by Joseph Stephano, and scored by Bernard Hermann. The film stars Anthony Perkins, Vera
Miles, Janet Leigh, and a very creepy house. This film falling under the horror genre was based
loosely on the novel of the same name which drew inspiration from real life serial killer Ed Gein, who
has been the motivation for two other popular movies, The Silence of the Lambs and The Texas
Chainsaw Massacre . The budget for Psycho ran under one million dollars and was the last film on
Alfred Hitchcock s contract with Universal. The film was shot entirely on set at Universal studios
except for an early shot of Marion Crane s (Janet Leigh) vehicle parked on the side of the road when
she was too tired to continue driving, as well as the car dealership. Due to the budget constraints the
films crew were made up of mostly people who were working on the, Alfred Hitchcock Presents
television show. The film is about a man named Norman Bates, who runs a motel owned by his
family. Norman is a victim of his ill mothers love. His mother becomes violent when Norman s
attention has been detracted from her needs. This film is a study of character, suspense, and
storytelling; all reasons this film is considered an American classic. This film is unique due to several
factors: its presentation, it contained two different point of views (with an interpreted third point of
view), and it has some

Insurgent Movie Essay
Oftentimes people associate science fiction movies with futuristic galactic villains, visionary robots,
spaceships, and odd gizmos. Science fiction films now offer a rim of exciting genres combined in one
such as suspense, adventure, action, and romance. The film Insurgent release in 2015 directed by
Robert Schwentke services as a perfect example. Insurgent captives its viewers by infusing a futuristic
theme, non stop mind stimulating action, and danger seeking missions, making it a must see movie

Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Analysis

Hello Marvis Bellagwa,
I enjoyed reading your great post. The prostate specific antigen (PSA) analysis is indeed the utmost
essential test in men s health utilized to screen substantial populaces for prostate cancer, which have
shown to decrease the number of men with advanced prostate cancer. According to Moyer (2012), the

currently the equilibrium amid the benefits and disadvantages of prostate cancer screening amongst
men below age 75 years indeed cannot actually be measured related to inadequate evidence (Moyer,

PSA test. According to American Cancer Society {ACS}, 2010 guideline related to early discovery of
prostate cancer emphasized the significance of incorporating the men in the decision of either to test

Life and Legacy of Napoleon Bonaparte
Napoleon Bonaparte was born on August, 15th, 1769 on Ajaccio, Corsica he was named after an
Egyptian religious figure. He was born on a couch in the living room of his parents home during the
feast of the Assumption. The French defeated the island of Corsica only three months after Bonaparte
s birth. Bonaparte would later devote his youth hating and despising the French. The Bonaparte family
was considered Corsican aristocrats, however they were not wealthy compared to French nobles. Due
to having such a large family they struggled to get by. Letizia Napoleon s mother was strict and
serious woman; she would punish her 8 children to instill the importance of discipline and sacrifice.
Letizia was very religious; she attended church every day. She forced her religion on Napoleon by
making him attend mass every Sunday. Napoleon said She sometimes made me go to bed without
supper, as if there was nothing to eat in the house. One had to learn to suffer and not let other see it.
His mother s lessons helped make him a strong man. After Corsica s defeat Bonaparte s twenty three
year old father Carlo hastily succumbed to French rule. Carlo began wearing French clothing such as
powdered wigs and silver bucked shoes. Napoleon never forgave his father for abandoning his Corsica

How Robots Have Impacted Life
Robots are a computer machines that are designed to perform many physical tasks either domestic or
industrial. Robots have severely and positively impacted life and are intended to positively impact
future life. They make it really easy to accomplish tasks and save humans from doing the most
difficult tasks. They have developed to the point where they have revolted against people and are
advancing to take over the world by taking over humans and preventing humans from completing
undesired tasks. They are considered to be more flexible and more adaptable than other automated
systems. This technology is advancing over years and robots are now able to perform many tasks more
quickly, cheaply and accurately than humans. There were many domestic solutions of the use of
robotics in the past when the microwave was invented. In today s present society robotics has created
an automated vacuum cleaner which is an iRobot called Roomba. The use of robotics is emerging
throughout society and is intended to make industrial solutions such as robots used for working and
construction in the future
In history of robotics, an invention was the microwave. This is considered as a domestic robot
machine because of its incorporated features. The microwave consists of many control devices that
allows microwave operators to input their desired amount of time and the food, the microwave then
processes the food so it results in the temperature of heat as desired by the operator. The microwave

Stary Messenger
To almost everyone in the sixteenth century, it was common knowledge that sun revolved around the
Earth. After all, the universities taught it, and the Papacy preached it. The heliocentric theory was
heresy, at best. Scientific fact was proven not by observation, or as we know it today, the scientific
method, it was instead proven by philosophy. If something appeared to be true, then it was true. In
1610, Galileo published his book Starry Messenger , which was created based on observations made
with the newly invented telescope. This book, along with others published at this time, effectively
started the Scientific Revolution. Galileo was born in Pisa in 1564 as the first child of Vincenzio
Galilei. His father was a talented musician and textile merchant who provided an above average
standard of living. His father worked two jobs. One as a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

recant everything he d defended the past two decades. Despite this, he was forced into house arrest for
the last 10 years of his life. He would continue his work while arrested, proving At the age 77, Galileo

Revolution was first of all, starting it, as well as the introduction of the use of experimentation and
observation to prove and disprove scientific theories. Galileo would almost single handedly start a

The Horrible Human Rights Violations
On the contrary when there were the horrendous human rights violations occurring in Rwanda with a
genocide taking place killing thousands and thousands of people there was not a single country that
chose to stand up and help. Either by providing soldiers that were needed to protect the people or by
providing resources like food, water, health, shelter or sanitation that was needed by the Rwandan
citizens. The U.N. even did not help and didn t even take a stand against the governments of the other
countries for not providing help. The only reason behind this was that Rwanda did not have anything
to offer in return for the countries providing help. It is an underdeveloped country with no resources or
benefits that could be gained if help was provided. There is no humanity in governments of countries.
They are solely run by their self interests and nothing else. All countries later when questioned as to
why they did not take any action the easiest way they found out of this explanation was that they did
not know the severity of the situation even after multiple different pleads from the public to the
countries as well as the information they were receiving from their respective correspondents in
Rwanda. The U.S. in particular did not respond to the situation of Rwanda and when it did they clearly
refused to even call the killing and murdering taking place Genocide. They believed that it was
another civil war in a country which would conclude very soon without intervention. They

the fanatic that obsesses over revenge, making it the sole purpose of his life. When finds out that his

With the shot heard round the world at Lexington and Concord, the American colonies were on a
collision course with one of the most powerful empires of that day. One key, pivot point of the conflict
known as the American Revolutionary War was GEN George Washington s victory at Trenton, New

without the help of some timely intelligence, both for the American side, as well as intelligence
blunders by the British forces defending Trenton. By disregarding intelligence warnings, as well as

I Had Always Considered Myself A Writer Essay
I had always considered myself a writer. I had always found comfort in identifying with the title of
writer. I had the cliché I was born a writer stories to back up this self given idealistic position. I was
drawing full length picture books at the age of three, before I even knew how to string together a
coherent sentence in the written word. By five, I had no trouble whipping out a thrilling (maybe for a
kindergartener) story that I begged my grandma to type up for me, considering I was not yet equipped
with the skills that I needed to pen a novel by hand. Throughout, the rest of my schooling, I excelled
in anything that required using the English language, particularly when it came to essays or reading
comprehension assessments. It was these experiences that I used to internally quell the uneasy feelings
that arose when people asked me what my hobbies were and I told them I m a writer. I was uneasy,
undoubtedly due to the fact that I had not actually written anything of actual significance outside of
the classroom since I was very (very) young. Once I reached college, it became clear that how I
defined myself as a writer would play a central part in shaping who I was. My first notable foray into
authorship was in the first grade, during what I will reluctantly admit was a strong My Little Pony
phase. Like most budding artists, it was manic obsession that drove me to create an entire, vivid world
where rainbow pastel ponies were the characters and the setting was a

Historical Significance Of The Steam Invention
Introduction:
In the real world, human beings always rely on various natural resources to survive over thousand
years. The ancients use water and woods mostly. As the time goes by, modern people considered that
oil and coal are the most important energy for people. In human history, people have been experienced
industrial revolutions over three times. The very first time industrial revolution occurred at 1760s and
ended at 1850s and it marks that mankind entered the age of steam. Without any doubt, all kinds of
steamer boomed at the market, steam locomotive, steam train and etc. It proved that historical
significance of the steam inventions, which ended the human dependence on animal power, wind and
water for over 4700 years, at the meantime, due to the steam things, some human historian believed
that 19th century European domination of the world is based on the steam engine. After decades, a
new type of energy source for human has been obtained natural resources and people would develop
the possession of the earth fossil fuels, namely oil and gas. The second industrial revolution had
changed the world operation mode, which means Mankind entered the age of electricity and reach the
peak in the information revolution. Oil and coal became the major resources. Especially after 1870, all
industries are subject to the impact of science. Due to the use of electricity and the invention of the
main use of oil and gasoline internal combustion engine, the power industry has been

Comparing the Foreign Policy of Presidents George W. Bush...
Comparing the Foreign Policy of Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton Towards North Korea
Since its creation after the Korean War in 1950, North Korea, also known as the Democratic People
Republic of Korea (DPRK), has caused many problems for the United States. North Korea has, for
instance, broken treaties and even gone so far as to threaten the use of nuclear weapons. Naturally,
different presidents have dealt with North Korea in different ways. Take Eisenhower for example, he
actually threatened the use of nuclear weapons against North Korea in 1953 (obviously before North
Korea had nuclear capabilities). Many presidents ignored North Korea all together, and some tried to

He mentions that Clinton never made any talk about North Korea during his first presidential
campaign in 1992. However, Clinton very quickly figured out he would have to deal with North Korea
when fears starting to arise that they were generating materials for nuclear weapons with their small
nuclear reactor in Yongbyon. Clinton, in response to these fears, decided to start military training
exercises, known as Team Spirit, in South Korea. This flexing of military muscle prompted North
Korea to threaten to pull out of the Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT). After some negotiations North
Korea agreed to pull back on their threat of withdrawing from the NPT. This led Clinton to reward
North Korea for its reversal by not considering any trade sanction or military actions against the
DPRK. Things started growing worse though as the fear that North Korea had nuclear capabilities
grew. Leading the fears along was the fact that the dictator of North Korea at the time, Kim Il Sung,
was blocking nuclear inspectors from reaching the nuclear reactors they wanted to inspect.
Furthermore, it was later concluded by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that North
Korea did indeed have nuclear capabilities. These new developments brought the United States to the
brink of war with North Korea. Before shots, or rockets in this case, could be fired an agreement
known as the Agreed Framework was signed on October 21, 1994. Among other things in this treaty,

Victor Hanson s article lacks supporting evidence and provides a narrow point of view to a complex
situation. When evaluating information and determining if it is logically compelling, the premises
must be acceptable, relevant, and sufficient. The article does not meet the required premises because it
lacks sufficient support and contains several logical fallacies.
The premise of the article is that the United States will continue to decline and potentially cease to
exist if they continue to reduce defense spending and increase social spending, which results in more
government dependent citizens. The premise is a slippery slope fallacy. A slippery slope logical fallacy
occurs when a predicted outcome is based on a specific chain reaction, but there is not enough
evidence to support the chain reaction will occur or produce the predicted outcome.
The article references four different historical civilizations that failed because their citizens grew
dependent on the government and because their government cut defense spending. The historical
civilizations mentioned lack similarities to the U.S. government s structure, current international
relations, military capability and economic capacity. The increase in government ... Show more

Friday night when my mom asked me earlier. Because this guy is the way he is, and that catches my

Universities Censorship
Over the centuries Universities have been regulated by several diverse organizations, the government
being the main influence. With the Universities conformity (alliance or association or collaberation)
with the government, this manipulation is pulling away from what a University is meant to be. When
Universities are influenced by excess amounts of funding this increases the disturbance of how
teachers and scholars are influenced. Moreover, Universities have acquired significant amounts of
funding in respects to assertive departments: medical research, basic science research, and engineering
research. As universities increase enrollment, thus, increasing the requirements for additional supplies

Freedom Is The Highest Point Of Freedom
Freedom has its different demographics and views it can perceived into in which I don t think it can
ever justify to a deserved definition. I think we certainly live in the theory and allusion of freedom but
also compared to a vast amount of countries it is definitely looked upon as a free society. A country
could never reach the highest point of freedom because that is something of the unordinary and we as
a country are more close to freedom than any other country will be. Being able to express ourselves by
voting, voicing opinions, being of whatever sexuality and religion without interference is a remarkable
sense of freedom and luxury many wish to attain. For me specifically, I think the most important
factor of living in the American life is the privilege I have of going to school and being educated. If I
was never given the opportunity of such a tremendous fortune, I could never imagine residing in a
place that would be against it. To me education is not a something that I should fight for it should be a
given, it should be self explanatory as to why it is so extremely important and the fact that some
countries deny their people of such grant is one of the many reasons I believe America to be a free
country. Not being permitted the right to education especially because I am a female is not a form of
life anyone should have to suffer let alone a form of freedom people should be idealized to live with.
Definitely living in the United States gives me the advantage to be

Characteristics Of The Villa Rotonda
The Villa Rotonda is a famous architecture designed by Palladio. Many people who make great
achievements in architecture, Howard Burns, Francis Ching et al., Andrea Palladio and Rudolf
Wittkower, have all written some words in their books about it. They describe some same
characteristics but for different purpose. Symmetrical structure is the most obvious feature of the Villa
Rotonda, and all four experts works involve it. Burns, professor in architectural history, look at this
villa on a macroscopic level, and he ascribes its symmetry to the influence by Alberti, Raphael and
Giulio. As a forerunner in villa design, Alberti puts forward an idea, in De re aedificatoria, that a villa
should have a central court or hall, and pedimented portico. All these elements can be found in the
Villa Rotonda. Raphael s the Villa Madama becomes a reference when Palladio begins his design.
Wittkower, an art historian specializing in Italian Renaissance and Baroque art and architecture ,
describe Palladio s works as his experiments. He says that Renaissance architects always regarded
symmetry as a theoretical requirement in design . Wittkower also mentions that Palladio has already
taken lots of studies on the basic geometric pattern of villa before he designs the Villa Rotonda. The
architecture and design graphics writer Francis Ching describes its plan and section elevation in detail.
He writes ...it is symmetrical around both axes...The building s plan centered on a rotunda originally

The Fallacy Of Public Education
The Fallacy of Public Education
Do not train a child to learn by force or harshness; but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so
that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each. Plato
For the last several decades, there has been a great return to homeschooling. Many families have seen
the need to remove their children from the public education system for a variety of reasons: for
religious grounds, because of a decline of morals in the public system, or to give their children an
education where they are not held back from reaching their potential. When homeschooling, a child
can work at their own pace often learning 2 years or more of material in one year and allowing them
to fully explore topics that interest them. Their intellectual curiosity can be fulfilled and they can be
the best they can possibly be. Students in the public school system are subjected to teaching that is
repetitive, biased, and falls short of academic success. In the past, students that were failing
coursework, but were getting older, were pushed on to higher grades even though they were not ready
for the more advanced coursework. In the 1980 s there was a great number of graduates who could not
even read. How can the proponents of the public education system even make claims that to be
successful today, children need to attend their institutions? Today s formal, public educational system
of schooling is not necessary because it is a system

More than a million Irish people died during the Irish Potato famine that hit Ireland between 1845 to

When the fungal disease hit, known as potato blight, the Irish potato crops were lost. After reading
primary sources regarding the Irish Potato Famine, the reader can visualize the horrors that the Irish
people endured during the Irish Potatoes Famine including starvation, the physical and the mental

Mccloskey Argumentative Analysis
McCloskey states in his article On being an Atheist that he finds much more comfort in being an
atheist than believing in an all powerful and all knowing God because of the presence of evil in the
world. He goes on to use this evil in the world as his proof that there is no God that exists. He then
uses arguments such as the cosmological argument, and the teleological argument to go further into
his reasoning. He states that these classical arguments cannot prove that God exists. He argues that if
there were an all powerful being in the world then would he not rid the world of evil? This is why he
believes there to be more comfort in atheism. Yes there is evil in our world unfortunately so how
should a theist, A Christian, respond to McCloskey and his arguments?
Lets first look at his wording of proofs . Foreman spoke in his video that we should stray away from
the word proof when we speak of God. That we really can t prove he is a being, but there are many
things that we can t prove. There are some philosophers that define a proof as one that convinces
every sane and rational person who carefully considers the argument. (Evan and Manis, 2009) If we
used this then our classical arguments would fail as proofs because they don t hit every person. The ...

Fertilization Weed Control Frisco TX for your Fescue
Applying fertilizer to your lawn will promote healthy grow. Fertilizer will not only increase the
strength of the grass blades, but also improve the green color of your fescue. Unfortunately, many
homeowners fertilize their lawns in the summer. In these extreme temperatures, the fertilizer will be
too strong, killing the grass and causing brown or empty spots in your lawn.
For the best results, fertilize your fescue grass in early spring or the fall season. After applying the
fertilizer, water your lawn thoroughly to ensure the nutrients set into the grass and underlying soil. To
reduce the weeds in your lawn, use a fertilizer that contains weed killers. This will not only reduce the
risk of weeds and crabgrass, but also reduce the time it will take to apply additional lawn care

Research Paper On Shakespeare
I assume everyone already knows that Shakespeare invented many new words in the English
language, but have you ever stopped and thought about just why he did it? People don t make up new
words for no reason; they make them up because there is a need. In Shakespeare s case, that need was
because of his time period and the ideas he wanted to express. Let me explain:
Shakespeare wrote his plays, poems, and other works during the time of Elizabethan England. This is
a very interesting time period in history because many new revolutions and reforms were taking place.
The most important one regarding Shakespeare was the Italian Renaissance. You see, Early Modern
English which is what we call the English that Shakespeare wrote in was very messy regarding its
structure and vocabulary when you compared it to languages such as Latin and Greek. When
Shakespeare was starting to write his works, the English language was going through incredible
changes, absorbing and integrating words from other languages due to the events that were happening
in the 1600s such as colonization, exploration, war, and others. There was a huge return to
philosophical thinking in Italy and a new way of expressing ideas that we today call the Renaissance.
Of course the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to places with language that conveyed these beautiful ideas like no one else. There s a reason why in

happiness. Many people think that when you have money you also have happiness. Yes that can be
true, but just how true is it? Money can be the cause of happiness and also sadness, needless to say
money have a huge impact on every single person. Everyone wants money I think it s safe to say,
everyone wants to feel stable. Yes its great to have money; you can do more things, travel more, and
make family and friends happy with gifts you could buy them. But after all the toys and material
things are gone can you say that you re happy, or that something s missing still? When you go out to a
fancy restaurant what do you remember most, the people you take or the meal you just consumed?
Research shows experiences provide more happiness than material goods in part, because experiences
are more likely to make us feel connected to others (Mandi Woodruff 5 Reasons Why Money Isn t
Making You Happy ). People make connections that last with their personality, not their money. This
has the same concept as growing up in a wealthy family. Some kids grow up never really having a
relationship with their parents because all they want to do is work to make more money. People crave
the love and attention from someone more than they want money. We as humans like to feel secure in
a lot of different aspects in our lives, and if we aren t being loved, that could be the worst of it all.

Neo Assyria Essay
The queens of Neo Assyria have long had their positions as a part of the administrations of the royal
palace neglected or overlooked. For the purpose of this assignment, I want to take a closer look at the
roles the queen and her household were responsible for in the function of the palace and, in extension,
the Empire. Comparatively, we know a lot more about the kings of the Neo Assyrian Empire than we
do about the queens. Although the sheer amount of tablets and steles are comparatively few in contrast
with kings, there is greater significance in the select pieces of evidence of queenship that we do have.
With access to such a narrow window into lives of the queens, it makes it all the more essential to try

There are two very prominent examples of influential women who resided in the royal courts of Neo
Assyrian. The better known of the two is the mother of Esarhaddon, Naqī a, or Zakūtu in Akkadian,
who is probably one of the most famous women from the era. She is best known for her treaty of
Zakūtu in which she ascertained the loyalty of the empire to her grandson, Assurbanipal. There is
debate over the reason why she was granted so much influence. Sarah Melville argues that she was
purposefully given a bigger role to ensure the peaceful transition of kingship to her grandson. In
contrast, Zafira Ben Barak has pointed out that she may have only been trying to ensure her social
rank and assume any authority she could through possible manipulation. Nevertheless, Naqī a is an
example of a great point of intrigue in this topic because it is difficult to conclude whether she was an
exception in the accepted tradition of the queenship or if there were more like her. With approximately
177 text references of the queen and the king s mother, I plan on investigating the political sway a
queen might have in her court by referring to the texts and other analysis of the writings by different

Macbeth Illusion Vs Reality Essay
The line between an illusion and reality is a very slight. The only way to differentiate between the two
is through one s thoughts and perception. One s own self perception can vary depending on one s
circumstances and the way one is raised. This slight gap between illusion and reality is also affected
by one s back story and how an individual is taught to think. In life, as in literature, one s own self
perception can affect the way one differentiates between what is an illusion and what is reality. In the
play Macbeth, the author, William Shakespeare reveals how one s own self perception can affect the
way an individual differentiates between illusions and reality. Many characters shift the way they see
reality and question the illusions of other characters nature because of the way they see themself and
their past experiences. Macbeth, the story s tragic hero, is a young man who loses his ability to

Invasive Species Effects
The Effect Invasive Species Have on the Environment
The book entitled, Ecology of Weeds and Invasive Plants , opens with a quote from Dr. A. S. Crafts
saying, in the beginning there were no weeds. . This quote causes one to stop and think about it. What
Dr. Crafts meant by this quote was that even though plants have existed for many years, weeds did not
exist before humans began to travel about. With all the traveling that humans do the problem of
invasive plants has grown tremendously (Radosevich, 1). The impact that invasive species have on the
environment is often overlooked or thought of as unimportant. The issue is vast, yet little is done
about it. The problem with invasive species is extremely important and will impact the world for
generations to come. This paper will explain what invasive species are, show the negative impacts
invasive species have on the environment, and what we can do about this issue. As humans began to
travel and change the landscape of the lands, the pace of invasions has increased dramatically. The
word invasive species has a lot of negative connotations. However, invasive plants are actually like
native plants, not bad when they are in their native habitat, but it is just when they are in a favorable
non native environment that causes them to become invasive. One and half million of the estimated
species ten million species are identified as an invasive species. It is impossible to predict what the

Job Satisfaction Is Defined As The Positive Feeling Felt...
Job Satisfaction
Job Satisfaction is defined as the positive feeling felt by an individual about a job which results from
and evaluation of the job s characteristics (Robbins Judge, 2013). With an understanding of job
satisfaction we will look at and describe the issues of three individuals and their three different jobs.
Describing their job satisfactions, dislikes, and how all this relates to their performances on the job.
The three different jobs that are presented for consideration of job satisfaction are an accountant
position where Maria works, a Quality Control Manager for an insurance company, and this is where
Darell works, and finally we have a Retail Store Manager for an outdoor company where Mike works.
All three of these jobs have characteristics that can contribute to increased levels of job satisfaction.
All three of these jobs offer plenty of hours of work. This can lead to job stability and increase the
affective commitment that a person might have toward a job (Milligan, 2014). Maria s job as an
accountant gives her job satisfaction because she has intellectual abilities that allow her to do mental
thinking and reasoning. It could also be presumed that the Quality Control Manager and the Retail
Store Manager have the same intellectual abilities. For the Quality Control Manager position the
opportunity to travel all over the United States could produce job satisfaction. Finally the position of
the retail manager that Mike possesses gives job satisfaction

The No Child Left Behind Act Of 2001
There were a fair number of interesting topics in this Political Science 2 class session of the Fall 2016
semester. A few that stood out to me, personally, were the topics of laissez faire economics, separate
but equal issues, and the viewpoints of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. From the tenth edition
of the course book We the People, Texas Ed. by Benjamin Ginsberg and Unit 2 of the lecture; a policy
developed by the efforts of the late philosopher and economist, Adam Smith, laissez faire economics
essentially means that the government should play a basal role in government. Also from the same
book and in Unit 1 of the lecture; the topic of separate but equal was discussed. This notion dictates
that African Americans be treated equally by being allowed to exercise fundamental rights as human
beings, but still must use separate facilities. This mandate came from the case now known as Plessy
vs. Ferguson in which an African American challenged the Jim Crow laws that were set within the
public transportation policy. And lastly, in the same fashion, from Unit 3 of the lecture; the act known
as No Child Left Behind was also discussed in the class.
The No Child Left Behind act mandated, by federal law, that new measures be taken place to hold
elementary and secondary schools in all states accountable for student education and growth and must
meet a certain requirement in order to receive federal financial assistance. But one must ask
themselves; should a child s future

John Fitzgerald Kennedy Biography
John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29th, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He has 7 siblings,
he was the second eldest child. He didn t know that one day he would be president or changing things,
or even saving the United States for that matter. But he did. He accomplished much in his life span.
For example he negotiated the nuclear test ban treaty, and initiated the alliance for process. He also
prohibited the testing of nuclear weapons underwater, outer space, and in our atmosphere. John saved
us from a nuclear war in 1962, mostly because of the prudence of john, and the belted prudence of
Khrushchev. They realized that once blood was spilt, that it would be very hard to keep any problem
under control, so the Cuban missiles did not get fired. John also secretly agreed to take the missiles off
of turkeys land, and not to invade Cuba. But a little after that Cuba was caught lurking in the islands

  • 2. The New Rules Of A Project Manager Essay Meredith (2006) mentioned that selecting a project manager is one of the two most important decision concerning the project. He mentioned the project manager should have credibility and sensitivity. However, in other books mentioned that PM not only should have credibility and sensitivity but also vision, courage, integrity, and discipline Visioner John P. Kotter described a project without vision is a region that is unknown which is a stretch of unmapped future. In his book The New Rules: How to Succeed in Today s Post Corporate World , he mentioned that the main destruction is there is no any vision from PM. Benis and Nanus, (1997: 19) defines vision as: Something that articulates a view of a realistic, credible, attracttive future for the organization, a condition that is better in some important ways than what now exists Furthermore becah (1993) said that the vision is a general formulation of the desired state at the end of the plan period to achieve the goals that may be achieved within a certain period. Visionary leader is a leader whose in running the organization s activities emphasize the vision that has been set together from planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating as a manifestation of the organization. A PM must be visionary because it can foster the commitment of its employees. One easy way to visualize the vision is by imagining what we want to achieve an organization in the future. • 5. Racial Stereotyping Of African Americans Essay Introduction What does it mean to be stereotyped? The definition of stereotype is Stereotyping may be defined as the tendency to attribute generalized and simplified characteristics to groups of people in the form of verbal labels, and to act towards the members of those groups in terms of those labels (Kanahara, 2006) When asked to pick a topic and do a research study, I decided that the topic of racial stereotyping would be efficient. As I began to watch movies I started to see a trend. I saw African Americans being portrayed as being violent, uneducated, and ghetto. European Americans were portrayed as being self absorbed, materialistic, and privileged. What I want to know is if different races are being stereotyped in media for the sake of entertainment. Over time it seemed like the media would perceive African Americans as thugs. Not only were African American s stereotyped as thugs, but they re also seen as being ghetto. African American s are not the only ones stereotyped, but so are Hispanics and Asians. Hispanics in media are portrayed as being illegal immigrants, uneducated, and housekeepers. Asians are portrayed as foreigners, geeks, and kung fu fighters. Literature Review A study over social issues done by Mastro mentions that in our history we have yet to experience a world free from complications of race. One thing she mentions that contributes to race complications is the mass media. Not only are we influenced by movies and television, but from the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I had the cliché I was born a writer stories to back up this self given idealistic position. I was drawing full length picture books at the age of three, before I even knew how to string together a coherent sentence in the written word. By five, I had no trouble whipping out a thrilling (maybe for a kindergartener) story that I begged my grandma to type up for me, considering I was not yet equipped with the skills that I needed to pen a novel by hand. It was these experiences that I used to internally quell the uneasy feelings that arose when people asked me what my hobbies were and I told them I m a writer. I was uneasy, undoubtedly due to the fact that I had not actually written anything of actual significance outside of the classroom since I was very (very) young. However, Clinton very quickly figured out he would have to deal with North Korea when fears starting to arise that they were generating materials for nuclear weapons with their small nuclear reactor in Yongbyon. Clinton, in response to these fears, decided to start military training exercises, known as Team Spirit, in South Korea. This flexing of military muscle prompted North Korea to threaten to pull out of the Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT). After some negotiations North Korea agreed to pull back on their threat of withdrawing from the NPT. This led Clinton to reward North Korea for its reversal by not considering any trade sanction or military actions against the DPRK. Things started growing worse though as the fear that North Korea had nuclear capabilities grew. Leading the fears along was the fact that the dictator of North Korea at the time, Kim Il Sung, was blocking nuclear inspectors from reaching the nuclear reactors they wanted to inspect. Furthermore, it was later concluded by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that North Korea did indeed have nuclear capabilities. I think we certainly live in the theory and allusion of freedom but also compared to a vast amount of countries it is definitely looked upon as a free society. A country could never reach the highest point of freedom because that is something of the unordinary and we as a country are more close to freedom than any other country will be. Being able to express ourselves by voting, voicing opinions, being of whatever sexuality and religion without interference is a remarkable sense of freedom and luxury many wish to attain. For me specifically, I think the most important factor of living in the American life is the privilege I have of going to school and being educated. If I was never given the opportunity of such a tremendous fortune, I could never imagine residing in a place that would be against it. To me education is not a something that I should fight for it should be a given, it should be self explanatory as to why it is so extremely important and the fact that some countries deny their people of such grant is one of the many reasons I believe America to be a free country. • 28. Characteristics Of The Villa Rotonda The Villa Rotonda is a famous architecture designed by Palladio. Many people who make great achievements in architecture, Howard Burns, Francis Ching et al., Andrea Palladio and Rudolf Wittkower, have all written some words in their books about it. They describe some same characteristics but for different purpose. Symmetrical structure is the most obvious feature of the Villa Rotonda, and all four experts works involve it. Burns, professor in architectural history, look at this villa on a macroscopic level, and he ascribes its symmetry to the influence by Alberti, Raphael and Giulio. As a forerunner in villa design, Alberti puts forward an idea, in De re aedificatoria, that a villa should have a central court or hall, and pedimented portico. All these elements can be found in the Villa Rotonda. Raphael s the Villa Madama becomes a reference when Palladio begins his design. Wittkower, an art historian specializing in Italian Renaissance and Baroque art and architecture , describe Palladio s works as his experiments. He says that Renaissance architects always regarded symmetry as a theoretical requirement in design . Wittkower also mentions that Palladio has already taken lots of studies on the basic geometric pattern of villa before he designs the Villa Rotonda. The Fallacy Of Public Education The Fallacy of Public Education Do not train a child to learn by force or harshness; but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each. Plato For the last several decades, there has been a great return to homeschooling. Many families have seen the need to remove their children from the public education system for a variety of reasons: for religious grounds, because of a decline of morals in the public system, or to give their children an education where they are not held back from reaching their potential. When homeschooling, a child can work at their own pace often learning 2 years or more of material in one year and allowing them to fully explore topics that interest them. Their intellectual curiosity can be fulfilled and they can be the best they can possibly be. Students in the public school system are subjected to teaching that is repetitive, biased, and falls short of academic success. In the past, students that were failing coursework, but were getting older, were pushed on to higher grades even though they were not ready for the more advanced coursework. In the 1980 s there was a great number of graduates who could not even read. People don t make up new words for no reason; they make them up because there is a need. In Shakespeare s case, that need was because of his time period and the ideas he wanted to express. Let me explain: Shakespeare wrote his plays, poems, and other works during the time of Elizabethan England. This is a very interesting time period in history because many new revolutions and reforms were taking place. The most important one regarding Shakespeare was the Italian Renaissance. You see, Early Modern English which is what we call the English that Shakespeare wrote in was very messy regarding its structure and vocabulary when you compared it to languages such as Latin and Greek. When Shakespeare was starting to write his works, the English language was going through incredible changes, absorbing and integrating words from other languages due to the events that were happening in the 1600s such as colonization, exploration, war, and others. She is best known for her treaty of Zakūtu in which she ascertained the loyalty of the empire to her grandson, Assurbanipal. There is debate over the reason why she was granted so much influence. Sarah Melville argues that she was purposefully given a bigger role to ensure the peaceful transition of kingship to her grandson. In contrast, Zafira Ben Barak has pointed out that she may have only been trying to ensure her social rank and assume any authority she could through possible manipulation. A few that stood out to me, personally, were the topics of laissez faire economics, separate but equal issues, and the viewpoints of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. From the tenth edition of the course book We the People, Texas Ed. by Benjamin Ginsberg and Unit 2 of the lecture; a policy developed by the efforts of the late philosopher and economist, Adam Smith, laissez faire economics essentially means that the government should play a basal role in government. Also from the same book and in Unit 1 of the lecture; the topic of separate but equal was discussed. This notion dictates that African Americans be treated equally by being allowed to exercise fundamental rights as human beings, but still must use separate facilities. This mandate came from the case now known as Plessy vs. Ferguson in which an African American challenged the Jim Crow laws that were set within the public transportation policy. And lastly, in the same fashion, from Unit 3 of the lecture; the act known as No Child Left Behind was also discussed in the class.
