Our Town Critique
Jessica Eastep Drama 1310 Art Theater Critique
Our Town
This movie is a period piece, at the beginning of the 1900 s. This is five years before the first
automobile comes into play in this town. In this town everyone knows everyone and everyone has
basically the same routine. Same paper route, same train route. There are many churches in this town,
a mill, a little main street with post office and city hall. Just a basic small town, similar to mine
(Crandall). Mrs. Gibbs garden and Mrs. Webb s garden are similar.
This is the first play I have seen conducted in this sort of way. The narrator carries you through this
story. He does more of the telling of the town, and uses the characters to show you the town. In the
beginning the story revolves around the Gibbs and Webb families. At first glance you see into the
everyday lives of these people, and how they conduct their daily routine as mentioned before. It s not
until the narrator starts bringing in different people from the town that you realize the somewhat
testimonies from the characters are breaking the fourth wall, and interacting with the audience in the
theater. The big clue that gives this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are different people in this story that are similar in ways and different in many others. The
relationships between the different characters like George and Emily and both of their parents are very
interesting, all of these relationships and the ways of the town show the biggest reason for the play (in
my eyes). The whole point is to show how special the town is, how special the people in the town are.
The simple things in life, when life was much easier. The little quirks in the town make it a whole, like
the paper boy, the churches, the little store in town, the way the hardware store owner drives crazy.
How the entire town is like a family. All of these things make the town simply wonderful. That is what
the narrator is trying to portray to us as an

Dance Critique Essay
Music/dance 101
Alvin Ailey American Dance Company
Performed by Donna Wood
Dance Cry
Dance Critique.
Ballet Cry simply showed to us real life of all African women. Every single American people know
what kind of life they went through. Therefore it touched their heard. Alvin Ailey s Cry presented
wonderfully combined movements, technique and emotion. Ms. Donna Wood uses tragic face, a mask
of sorrow. It is a face born to cry, but when she smiles it is with an innocent radiance, joyfulness that
simple and lovely. She never tries consciously to please an audience. He was not only concentrating in
movements and physical performance, but also using flowing white gown ... Show more content on

In the second section background lightening became blue and the stage color gets brighter. Still we
can see and feel some dark sides of lightening. Music tempo was faster and stronger and Ms. Donna
Wood has stronger movements. The most interesting in this section was singing human voice. She
starts to sing and has a little smile on her face. Most of her movement shape was very sharp, edgy and
angled especially her arms at first. She represents them to be united and get free. By jumping and
crossing arms, she sinks to earth and then she rises. Strong steps and ecstatically raised arms, dances
freely off the stage, toward freedom. In short, in this part of work the young women life get better and
better, but still it wasn t completed. In the third section Ms. Donna Wood looks like an African
goddess and her body has an unexpected gracefulness. Even stage color was bright reddish, warm
atmosphere around the dancer, like a sunrise in the morning. Stage would fill with colors. Music and
performer are singing together. A sound of music tempo gets faster. She has the happiest face ever, no
pain and no slavery. She jumps, she swings her leg and arms, and even she pulls her dress up and
shows her leg an entire dance. Sound and lightening create the environment and good mood. She uses
high level of dance than in previous two sections. She moves in between melody. I liked how she uses

Informative Speech on Accounting outline
Informative Speech Outline
Dusti Goertz
COMS 101
Date Due: 9/30/2013
Organization: For this speech I will be utilizing the topical pattern.
Audience analysis: Provide a description of your audience (e.g., its demographics like age, gender,
ethnicity, etc. as well as any other information about them that impacts the way you plan and present
the speech (see the textbook, pp. 618 628).
Topic: In this speech, I am going to describe why accountants have a bad reputation as being both
boring and dishonest, and also expound on what accountants actually do in our world/why we need
them. Finally, I am going to explain how accounting, as a profession, can be used for the greater glory
of God.
Rhetorical Purpose: To inform my audience ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another prevailing belief is that the vast majority of accountants are dishonest.
a. Regarding accounting, the acclaimed economist Ben Stein stated, It s really amazing that in the age
of unbelief, as a smart man called it, there isn t even more fraud. After all, with no God, there s no one
to ever call you to account, and no accounting at all if you can get away with it. Ben Stein

c. That being said, it was auditors and accountants who discovered the illegal actions which were
occouring in each of these respective scandals.
Transition: Well, now that we have seen what some individuals think about accountants, and
accounting as a profession, let s see what benefits accountants really provide.
II. Main Point #2. Contrary to popular belief, Accountants, and the tasks that they perform, are an
important part of most people s everyday life.
A. What exactly is an accountant?
a. According to Dictionary.com, an accountant is, a person concerned with the maintenance and audit

Managed Care System
The U.S has many payer systems which many believe it to be its downfall among other countries. This
may be because many view it more as an economic business and not an overall wellness plan. The
United States main public program of funding is Medicare, which once followed a standard form of
payment. It is now envisioned as a futuristic model that encompasses the payments of providers.
Medicare is a national social insurance program that is run by the government since 1966. Also unlike
Great Britain system, the program provides health care to Americans over 65 years of age for those
who have paid their work dues in the system. Medicare has also extended its reach to those Americans
who may be veterans or disabled. Another huge form of payment to providers is through Managed
care which can be beneficial to physicians in the fee for service and capitation aspect. While this form
of payment is similar to Great Britain s programs, their execution of it remains vastly different.
Managed Care is a type of healthcare system with health care plans that has restrictions on its
selection of facilities and health care providers at a reduced cost for the patient. Rather than come to a
conclusion about better ways to negotiate with payers, U.S providers continue to rage war against ...

But ultimately, its intent was to make up for the lack of a health care system for the low or
underinsured Americans. This federal health care reform (signed into law in 2010) is a clear attempt in
trying to balance out the unusually large numbers of the un or underinsured Americans. If everything
goes according to its predicted success by 2019, it will extend health insurance coverage to 32 million
uninsured people. Alike Great Britain, the ACA tries to make its overarching emphasis on preventions

The Merchant Of Venice By William Shakespeare
The play The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare is anti semetic because anti semetic
thoughts and actions are incorporated in a majority of his charcters. The actions of these Christian
charcters go against Shylock, and other Jews presented in the play; as a result, establishing a clear
seperation between the two ethnic groups. The constant hatred and mistreatment towards Shylock only
enhances the division since it develops the idea that Christianity is the superior religion. Although
there are many instances in which Shakespeare creates sympathy for Shylock rather hate, Shakespeare
s portrayal of him is what highlights the anti semitism in the play.
In the play, it appears to be clear that anti Semitic charcaters, such as Antonio and Salanio, exist to
highlight the mistreatment and power Christians have over the Jews. Many instances in which
dominance is expressed towards Jews , is towards Shylock. In the play Shylock states regarding
Antonio,
You call me disbeliever, cutthroat dog,
And spet upon my Jewish gaberdine,
And all for use of that which is mine own.
Well then, it now appears you need my help.
Go to, then. You come to me and you say
Shylock, we would have moneys you say so,
You, that did void your rheum upony beard,
And foot me as you spur a stanger cur
Over your threshold (1.3.121 129).

The Black Codes In The Southern Society
The Black Codes in the Southern society which had many provisions of orders was published in 1865
and 1866 to restrict the freedom of black people (African Americans) and to reinforce strength of
white people. In a deeper meaning, this law was created to be like a way to preserve the slavery
system.
If we go through each term of The Black Codes, we can see the law almost prevented freedom of
black people (who they were call negro ). The Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 of President
Lincoln granted slave with some rights, but actually these rights were very limited. For instance,
section 2 states every nergo was not allowed to be outside of their house after 10pm or they would
receive a fine. Section 3 states slaves were not allowed owning

Movie Pass Papers
The Movie Pass program was first brought to my attention by my daughter. She told me it was
something that her father and I might want to check out. We do enjoy going to the movies, so I took
her advice. I did some online research and found that the Movie Pass Company was founded in 2011.
Apparently, it has been around for a while, so I was surprised I had not heard of this service before. I
read some reviews about the program and I found a mixed bag of reviews. Some individuals have
found Movie pass to be an inexpensive way to see movies while others had complaints about the
service. The complaints were from people who claimed they had never received their passes or they
had problems using the pass once they arrived at the theater. Being an optimist, I decided to take a
gamble and go with the positive reviews. I went to their website and ordered two ... Show more

we decided to go see a movie at our local movie theater. When we arrived there I discovered the

Feeling frustrated and no longer in the mood to see a show we headed home. I started thinking maybe
the naysayers were right and this deal was too good to be true. On the drive home, my daughter called
to see how we enjoyed the movie. I told her about the problem I had encountered while trying to use
the pass. After some thought my tech savvy daughter asked me if the location device on my phone was
turned on. Upon checking my phone I found my location app was turned off, so I promptly turned it
on. Still feeling a little apprehensive we went to the theater the next day to try again. To my relief, we
did not encounter any problems. We attended an afternoon show which cost around nine dollars a
ticket. This meant our movie passes had just about paid for

Analysis and evaluation
Dominant Economic Characteristics of the Steel Industry Environment
The steel industry worldwide has a huge excess capacity, forcing many companies to operate in red.
An unprecedented number of steel producers have filed for bankruptcy. Among them are Bethlehem
Steel Corporation and LTV, who were the country s third and fourth largest steel producers
respectively. With a lot of world s economies in recession in late nineties, there was a surge in the
import of steel. With unfair subsidies from their governments, foreign steel producers were dumping
steel in the U.S. market at cut rate prices. In 1999, the United States had decided not to impose any
import restrictions.
With 75% capacity utilization, a level too low for many companies, three European companies
decided to merge to form the world s largest steel producer. Two Japanese companies did the same to
form the second largest steel producer. These new mega steelmakers could easily outmuscle their U.S.
competitors. The largest steel producer in the US, USX U.S. Steel group was already at number 11,

Plato s the assistant of Socrates, enhanced love (eros) on Socrates s ideas and philosophies. This is

Joseph Priestley Research Paper
Joseph Priestley was born and raised in England before immigrating to Pennsylvania in his later life.
Priestley lived in the 18th century and contributed much to the fields of chemistry and biology.
Priestley is considered important for many reasons, one of the main reasons being because of his
discovery of oxygen. Priestley also discovered Nitrous oxide in 1772. An important discovery in the
field of biology, was Priestleys documentation of photosynthesis.
Joseph Priestly was born on March 24th, 1733 in Birstall, England. Priestley was born to Mary and
Jonas Priestley and was the oldest of six children. At the age of five, Priestleys parents sent him to live
with his grandfather. After the passing of his mother he returned home, until his father remarried when
he went to live with his wealthy aunt and uncle, Sarah and John Keighley. Priestley s aunt treated him
to the best education at Daventry and Warrington Academy, where he learned Greek, Latin and
Hebrew. On June 23rd, 1762, he married Mary Wilkinson and on April 17th, 1763, their daughter

Cathlic church. Unfortunately, his ideas made him an outcast among most and even forced him to flee
England for the United States after his home and church were burned down. I think that Priestley was
brave to so openly dissent from what everyone else believed, even if it led to him being

Does Corruption Create Poverty By Walden Bello Analysis
A Critical Review of Walden Bello, 2014, Does Corruption Create Poverty?
Foreign Policy In Focus.
I. Introduction
Walden Bello in his article Does Corruption Create poverty? gives us an idea of corruption is not the
main root of poverty and what the real causes of poverty are. I am grateful that Bello s argument that
corruption is not a main root of poverty is meaningful, he indicates the links between the economy and
corruption, as well as politic and corruption. This paper will review Walden Bello s article as also his
main arguments, and will evaluate the quality of Bello s writing and focus on any areas of weakness

opinion, the author fails to provide adequate information to supports this claim. The author does not
only give wrong example, China and Philippines, but also mis inference. Corruption in my perspective
is the termite that erodes wood and correlation between poverty and corruption. Poverty gives rise to
corruption, while corruption worsens poverty. Corruption distorts and changes direction of economic
growth. It cuts down and takes an aquarium of economic development and functioning of the country
(Johnston, 2009). This is similar to Anup Shah s article that poverty is originated by corruption and a
consequence of poverty; it happens all over the world and affects not only individual but also society
and growth of the country (Shah, 2011). Thus, it is obvious that corruption is a major threat and a

American Film Noir
There have been several debates over a long period of time concerning the validity of film noir as a
distinct genre. Essays and books have debated the term for years using various criteria and rubrics to
back up their respective positions on the subject. As the 21st century brings new and creative trends
from screenwriting to post production and everything in between, the boundaries of noir become even
less certain. One may even find a fitting parallel between the noir protagonist s ambiguous and
perilous quest with that of the hapless and naΓ―ve academic in search of an unequivocal definition of
noir itself. This essay aims at summarizing the evolution of American film noir to present day, by
using seminal works to determine how these films have become influenced by American cinematic
trends of postmodern narrative structures and subjectivity.
History of Noir
The argument to be made is that, with the emergence of cinematic technological advances coupled
with postmodernism s abandonment of meta narratives and traditional socio cultural identities,
filmmakers are digging even deeper into the dark recesses of the human consciousness and using noir
as a platform. It is not very surprising that to date no other genre relies more on the fragility and
temperamental nature of the human condition more. Oftentimes characters in a noir narrative are
either vindicated or condemned based

Poverty In A Raisin In The Sun
Economic and societal poverty are the key forms of poverty highlighted in the three act play, A Raisin
in the Sun. Lorraine Hansberry, the playwright, discusses the hardships of African Americans
attempting to emerge in society in the 1950 s. The play is staged in ways where the audience can grasp
the trifles of an African American family continuously experiencing setbacks whilst attempting to
achieve their notion of the American Dream . To Walter Lee Younger, his idea of the American Dream
is that anything is possible for those who have money. Unfortunately, there is a minor problem: Walter
Lee Younger is a working class African American man who struggles to make ends meet in the

He fails to consider the stepping stones that are necessary in earning money. In The Politics of Home
in Lorraine Hansberry s A Raisin in the Sun, Kristin Matthews said: This literal home mirrors the
psycho social struggle of mid century African Americans to attain, secure, and define a sense of place,
or home, in the face of systemic socio economic racism (Matthews). The play opens with Ruth
Younger waking up her son, Travis, for school. By this point, the audience can see poverty already. To
put it into context, Ruth woke up and is walking through the living room that has been worn and it is
visible that the furniture has been supporting too many people for too many years (Hansberry, 998)
and she tries to wake up Travis, who is seen sleeping on the sofa. The house is crowded to the point
where Walter and Ruth Younger s son is in a situation where the only place to sleep is the sofa. That is
a sign of economic poverty, simply because the family cannot afford to live in a place where their son
has a bedroom. The house is an apartment that homes: Lena Mama , Walter, Ruth, Travis, and
Beneatha Younger. It is a two bedroom unit housing five people. There, again, is a sign of economic
poverty, because this is a family that cannot support themselves to live in an adequate setting. The

Personal Legend InThe Alchemist, By Paulo Coehlo
To achieve one s Personal Legend, one must work hard to accomplish it. This is not an easy task to do,
especially when you are a young shepherd boy. The Alchemist is a novel written by Paulo Coehlo. The
main character is a boy, Santiago, which seeks out his Personal Legend and the alchemist helps him
discover himself along the way. In the novel, Coelho uses symbols, character development, and setting
to create a deeper meaning. Santiago does not use his own motivation to pursue his Personal Legend,
but it is through the efforts of others that his Personal Legend is fulfilled.
In the novel, Coelho uses symbols of love, Urim, and Thummim, and sheep to create meaning and
emotion in the novel. Coelho uses the symbol of love, or Fatima to show her efforts in Santiago s
Personal Legend. My father went away one day, but he returned to my mother, and he has always
come back since then. (Coelho, 122). Santiago has a decision to make: stay in the oasis, or go to the
pyramids. Fatima tells him to go find his treasure and assures him she will be waiting. Coelho
demonstrates through Fatima Santiago s great love for her, which becomes a motivational factor to
return to when Santiago is on his journey. Without the help of Fatima, he would have stayed in the
oasis. Coelho uses Urim and Thummim to model Santiago s benightedness and ignorance. I promised
that I would make my own decisions, (Coelho, 41). Santiago is given a gift of Urim and Thummim,

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, Charlie faces internal and external conflicts
during his first year in high school as a freshman while trying to fit in and coming to terms that the

Molestation is a serious topic and often is not talked about openly due to the sensitivity of the

AQ 2.1
There are no advantages to accountants focusing only on financial information. Both the accountant
and the organization would suffer if this occurred. Moreover, it would be very costly to have two
systems rather than one that captures and processes operational facts at the same time as it captures
and reports financial facts.
The main disadvantage of accountants focusing only on financial information is that accountants
would ignore much relevant information about the organization s activities. To the extent that such
non financial information (e.g., market share, customer satisfaction, measures of quality, etc.) is
important to management, the value of the accounting function would decline. Moreover, accountants
have been trained in how to design systems to maximize the reliability of the information produced. If
relevant information is not produced by the AIS, there is danger that the information may be unreliable
because the people responsible for its production have not been trained in, or adequately aware of, the
potential threats to reliability and the best measures for dealing with those threats.

Customer demand and product preference should be focused on to produce more of what the customer
wants and to allow for stock reduction. 3. What are the costs from reducing the lead times? Jamie
Finchbaugh of Industryweek.com states Reducing lead time isn t about capacity. The amount of work
that can get done is usually still the amount of work that can get done. What lead time does is deliver
the request sooner to whomever needs something done.
The benefits from reducing lead times are the edge in the marketplace. The company may become the
leader on providing metallurgical products made from Tantalum while increasing sales numbers and
established customers. Reducing lead times leads to delivering faster; giving Starck a competitive
advantage. The drive and quest to lead time reduction also forces Starck to eliminate other wastes
throughout the plant.

Diagnosis Of Disease Of A Patient
The first step in correct diagnosis of disease of a patient is to know his medical history. Physician
should carefully ask patient information about his/her symptoms such as the onset, duration, and
possible relief. The next step is physical examination of the patient. After listening to the patient s
description of the history of the symptoms, physicians generally conduct a physical examination.
Inspection, Palpation, Percussion and Auscultation are the four components of physical examination.
In general inspection, physician examines general body posture and proportion of the patient and then
site of injury is inspected locally. After inspection, physician uses his/her hands and fingers to feel the
body of the patient to know the body temperature as well as to feel underlying parts of body of the
patient. This procedure is known as palpation. After palpation, physician taps body parts to get
information about density of tissues and this is known as percussion. Finally, Auscultation is listening
to body sounds with the help of stethoscope.

Hunting Rifle Ammunition Based on Game Size Essay
Every type of hunting ammunition is designed for different sizes of game. In fact there are several
different types to choose from, but which one is the right choice? For instance there are many different
ways to decide what ammo to use. Specifically the best way to decide is to choose by the size of the
animal that is to be hunted. For instance there are three different size groups that all hunters can use to
help them choose the best ammunition for their hunt.
First of all we have the class known as small game. In example, small game includes animals such as
squirrels, rabbits, birds, snakes, varmints, coyotes, ETC... While any rifle will work for taking out
small game, some larger caliber rounds provide unnecessary overkill. ... Show more content on

Secondly we have the mid sized game. Which is bigger than most varmints, but still smaller than most
deer; this is what makes antelope, mountain goats and sheep a unique challenge compared to hunting a
deer or a similar large animal. Thus using a round that ranges from a .25/06 to a .270, is preferred with
this size game. Hence it is recommended to use bullets that weigh somewhere around 100 grains.
Since they have a lower weighing lead, it causes the bullet to travel faster which would be ideal for
longer shots. Generally shots of 200 300 feet are needed when hunting antelope and mountain goats,
because of their habitat being in areas with open terrain and usually having cliffs.
Next we have the third and final class of game sizes, which would be the big game. While hunting
smaller animals may be fun, most hunters choose to step it up a bit and to hunt big game. For instance,
big game includes animals such as deer, bears, elk, boar, and more. For this type of hunting, the best
rounds to use are those ranging from a .243 Winchester up to a .338 win magnum. For instance, a
good example would be a .30 caliber which is probably one of the best choices for this area. For
instance, the heavier bullet generates more momentum that gives it a brush breaker type of effect,
which allows the bullet to continue on its path through dense woodland areas.
After all, hunting is a great sport

When Taking Theology And Ethics
Before taking Theology and Ethics, I was a firm believer of the Lord, but I had never once thought in
different ways to interpret him or his word. I had taken religion classes in my church while in high
school, and we were never told or asked to think of how we interpret God s word as I have in my
theology class.
That is a mistake made by many churches and the church classes for students that they offer. What
they tend to do is stuff information down the people s throats instead of explaining different ways of
understanding God in their own unique way. I know that s what happened to me while I was in church
classes. I was only told information and forced to participate even though I didn t fully understand
God. It was not until I went to a church retreat where I felt God, and it was a feeling I had never
experienced before, it was a new discovery for me. The point is that I didn t feel God in class, because
that was not the teachers job. The teacher s job is to educate us on the Lord so we can be ready to pass
a test at the end of the class, the goal should be for the students to understand and find God. I m still
surprised how I had never thought nor learned of breaking down the holy trinity. I was taught what the
Holy Trinity was, but I never went beyond knowing it was the father, the son, and the holy spirit. I had
never opened my eyes to the things this theology class has questioned of me and make me pounder on.

The Conflict With Peace And Honor

conflict that you need to solve the rights way or it will damage you. When I was younger, I was

Pizan wanted to solve a conflict with peace and honor while, Machiavelli wanted to you to face your

this conflict telling on them, speak up for yourself, and fight back. You could always bully back but
then are just as bad. Tell someone (snitch) on them let them pay without pulling the trigger. When I

friends. Though they weren t my friends, so I should have told someone and let them deal with the
consequence. I am saying this because, you would not be the bad guy for protecting yourself from
negative change. Machiavelli state, Love binds when someone recognizes he should be grateful to

How Did Malthus Build Food Production In The Ottoman Empire
Growth and Food Production in the Ottoman Empire
In his 1798 Essay on the Principle of Population, Thomas Malthus defended the proposition that, had
population and food increased in the same ratio, it is probable that man might never have emerged
from the savage state. Labeled a Malthusian trap after the demographer s work, the theoretical
principle holds that, because population increases exponentially, while agricultural output increases
arithmetically, periodic premature deaths among the population will be caused by a lack of sustenance.
Had a population never overcome the reoccurring demographic trap of an equal increase in food and
population, Malthus contends, the life of man as a subsistence farmer would continue to be, as

In the Ottoman Empire, immigration from Russia and the upper Balkan Peninsula brought a ten fold
increase in iron plow use in Ottoman Bulgaria, and the introduction of the calorie rich potato to
Anatolia, which had a beneficial effect of agriculture of Anatolia as a whole. Whether or not the
limited introduction of improved techniques and plant species into the Empire was also driving force
behind increased production, it still appeared to be caused by the influx of people to the region.
Malthus s doomsday prediction of stagnation upon population growth appears to fail when considering
the possibility of introduction of new techniques to maximize gains. So far, in the case of the Ottoman
Empire, the relationship between changes in population density and agricultural production has proven
to be that an increase in the former resulted in a subsequent and equal rise in the latter. In order to

A Possible Examination Done By Rhetoric Experts Essay
A Possible Examination Done By Rhetoric Experts On the morning of September 11, 2001, al Qaeda
terrorists carried out a set of coordinated suicide attacks with four hijacked passenger planes and killed
around 3,000 people on American soil. The first two planes hit the World Trade center and killed
everyone on board and hundreds inside the buildings. Following this attack, the nation was informed
by President Bush that these attacks were, apparent terrorist attacks on our country
(http://www.history.com/topics/9 11 timeline). The third hijacked plane soon crashed into the
Pentagon in Washington, D.C., killing multiple people aboard and 125 military and civilian personnel
inside the building. The fourth plane was deliberately crashed into a field in Somerset County,
Pennsylvania, taking the lives of all the people and the crew aboard after a few passengers tried to take
the plane back from the hijackers. With thousands of lives taken and the American people frightened
and needing answers, they expected someone to deliver a speech addressed to the nation to provide
some form of comfort and guidance. George W. Bush, as president, was the only logical rhetor to fill
that need, and nine days later on September 20, 2011; George W. Bush addressed the Nation in a Joint
Session of Congress in attempt to ease Americans concerning the terror attacks. As we examine
political speeches and analyze how rhetoric devices are used, we turn to experts William Lutz, Clyde

Censorship And Its Effect On Society
nformation is one of the most fundamental means by which people can acquire power and influence in
Western society. It is also said that information is practically the most powerful and important weapon
against corruption in the world. Those who have access to sensitive information, by whatever means
either through corruption or unrestricted access, can use this information to demand bribes and even
obtain more information by corruption or hide it from others. Owning that access and practicing the
act of corruption and maladministration will increase transparency and will also enable society and
even media to know and use the right information as the truth will be covered. The right to know the
information and to fully understand society s rights is a great value that is not always realised by
society, but given the example of the government, the ones who own more information have the power
to hide their own actions and to control the information censoring media. As far as the government is
concerned privacy, political and economic information is not to be shared, therefore they can deny
access to it. This type of information is controlled making society unaware of what is happening.
Fortunately, it is a two way role. There are laws to prevent this from happening and also to give access
to the right and non sensitive information. Information free from corruption is vital for society to
know what is happening.

The Importance Of Dress Codes In Schools
Dress codes in schools were originally put into place to prevent students from dressing inappropriate
clothes that would distract from their learning, while still allowing students to express themselves
freely. However, these days, schools are enforcing dress codes that differ greatly from their original
purpose. Schools shouldn t be able to enforce dress codes because they re unreasonable, they waste
people s time, and they enforce sexist ideals. Among the banned articles of clothing are: logos,
emblems and graphics; prints, such as flowers, stripes and plaids (Netter). On only the second day of
school in August of 2009, Jacqueline Bell had both her children sent home for violating this school s
new dress code. Her son had been sent home for wearing a plaid shirt, and her daughter, a pair of
patterned pants. Nowadays the rules that schools enforce are extremely unreasonable, and are nearly
impossible for families to follow. They re becoming more and more restrictive and, as Jacqueline had
said, It s good enough to wear to church, but not to school (Netter). The way that Jacqueline had
worded it was perfect in describing the state that dress codes had become. Dress codes were meant to
only prevent students from wearing clothes that were deemed inappropriate for the school
environment, but they can t even wear patterned outfits or shirts that go below a student s thigh. If it s
acceptable for a students to wear patterned shirts in church, which is much more formal than a school,
then they shouldn t have any problem wearing that exact same shirt to school. As well as being
unreasonable, when a student is sent home for dress code violations, it wastes their time, as well are
their parent s time. Stacie Dunn, whose daughter was sent home for an exposed collarbone, wrote this
on Facebook Parents are being called away from their important jobs and students are missing
important class time because they are showing their collarbones! Something needs to change!
(Bologna). Dunn is a great example of parents who are tired of their children being taken out of school
for something as trivial as a shirt that exposes a girl s collarbone. They feel that students are missing
important classes for the sake of keeping them

The Deployment Of Cloud Technology
Deployment of cloud technology is becoming ever more dependent on corporations to implement in
order to remain competitive in this internet age driven business world. Numerous factors must be
taken into consideration to make an informed decision on whether or not cloud deployment is the
optimal choice. Every new technology pose significant and unforeseen risks and is my responsibility
to evaluate the cost risk assessment as the CISO of www.imagine if you.org and provide my results to

with a final decision. Implementing the deployment of cloud technology within our organization
provides a lot of advantages, however, at the same time, it also greatly increases cybersecurity risks
that should be carefully considered before an educated and ethical decision can be reached. Security is
the number one concern and priority when migrating to a cloud environment. First order of business is
who or how we are going to house it. Choosing a hosting vendor is a crucial decision that, if chosen
incorrectly, could make our data easily comprisable on an unsecured cloud. Exposure of this critical
data compromises the entire intent resulting in a useless waste of time, resources, and money at a

the ruling class and the working class. The working class were being overworked and underpaid while

Without economic equality in the society, freedom and political equality could not be achieved. The
manifesto was to advocate for the redistribution of resources as the most effective way of promoting
democracy far beyond the earlier democracy which is practiced in a capitalist society. Through the
establishment of communist society, resources and social amenities such as education, health and
housing could be provided on an equal basis . During the period of industrial revolution disparity level
and social life was becoming hard for the working class. Thus, communist was considered as the
solution to the social conflict that was prevalent in the society and the antagonist resolution between
men and nature, necessity and freedom. They were right to advocate for the communist society to
promote the welfare of the working population in the society. It was the best remedy of preventing the
exploitation of the working class and ensuring that democracy prevail for all people regardless of their
position and status in the society.
W.E.B Du Bois was right to advocate for the abolishment of segregation of African American as a way
of promoting equality among African Americans. African Americans were disregarded in the

β€œThe Lost Boy”
The fictional life and death of a twelve year old little boy named Robert is vividly articulated in this
moving tale by Thomas Wolfe. The reader learns of the boy s life through four well developed points
of view. The reader s first glimpse into Robert s character is expressed through a third person
narrative. This section takes place on a particularly important afternoon in the boy s life. The second
and third views are memories of the child, through the eyes of his mother and sister. His mother paints
the picture of an extraordinary child whom she loved dearly and his sister illustrates the love that the
boy had for others. Finally, an account from the narrator is given in the ending. It is in the last section
of this work that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When he enters his dad s business he tells him exactly what had transpired at the candy store. Robert s
enraged father corrects the situation with the store owner in a rather harsh manner, saying many
hurtful things to the clerk. The day s events seem to leave a lasting impression on the youth. He only
knew that something had been gained forever something lost. (2007)
In the second and third portions of the saga the boy s mother and sister recall personal memories of the
deceased. The narrator is established as Robert s younger brother in these sections, as well. The
mother in this story unapologetically minimizes the narrator s abilities while exalting Robert. It is not
hard to see that Robert is their mother s favorite child. The proud mother gushes about the boy s
ability to stretch a dollar and his unnatural intellect. She goes so far as to tell a reporter inquiring about
the narrator s brilliance, that the narrator was not the most intelligent child she had given birth to The
best one of the whole lot was Robert! (2010) The boys sister seems to share her mother s adoration for
Robert and can t quite grasp the narrators inability to remember their beloved. She also, reiterates that
Robert was her mother s favorite child you know he always was her eyeballs... (2014). In expressing
to the narrator her memories of a past life where Robert was alive and well the sister reveals her own
inability to distinguish the past

Miracles Are The Proof For Existence Of God
In our daily life, we often hear the word miracle. We hear that a patient who is expected to die due to
100% illness will wake from the bed on the in the next few days and walk, which is a type of wonder
and Many call it as a miracle. Miracle is a striking event which can t be predicted and makes wonder.
Miracles are the events which are unusual, extraordinary and unexpected. It is believed that miracles
are caused by a supernatural power. It is believed that they are also part of the religious experience.
Many people believe that miracles are the proof for existence of god. The religious leaders will
strongly hold with the miracles that happened in the past. They didn t want them to be disproven as if

he stated that no testimony is sufficient to establish a miracle, unless the testimony be of such a kind,
that its falsehood would be more miraculous, than the fact, which it endeavors to establish ([2]). This
statement describes that miracles are not justified by reports or statements and there are no
testimonials for miracles. For example, Jesus resurrection [3], the original witness may be wrong
whether they saw Jesus or may be the report with the Paul may be wrong. He also believed that
miracle reports are illogical. He stated that people have faith on miracles due to holy belief but
without reasons. Hume also said that There must be a uniform experience against every miraculous
event, otherwise the event cannot be taken into consideration. For example, miracle of Jesus walks on
water. If Jesus can walk on water then why can t other people experience it. We can see that the above
two examples are against the laws of nature. According to him miracles would satisfy some certain
criteria s. Those events should have Witness, evidence, logic, experience. He also told that miracles
are reported by ignorant people. Finally, he concluded that miracles are impossible. Miracles are
logical obstacles to humans which cannot be proved for

The science of Star Wars is book written by Jeanne...
The science of Star Wars is book written by Jeanne Cavelos, it tries to link the content of the Star Wars
trilogies with modern science. It offers the readers the plausibility of the phenomena that occurs in the
world of Star Wars. The book is divided into five chapters excluding the introduction. She proceeds
from environments to aliens and androids to spaceships and weapons to end with a chapter on The
Force .
The first Chapter is called Planetary Environments. It has four essays and seven section, sections
headings include You Can t Have an Empire without Real Estate and The Bright Center of the
Universe and A Planet a Day Keeps the Empire Away etc. The topics she covers in this chapter
includes things like formation of planets, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Dawn of Wookiee tells us about which bi and quadrupedalisms are assessed and raises questions
about why Wookiees originally lived in trees. The section Slugfest characterizes Jabba the Hutt and
the predator space slug and what its diet would probably be. When Teddy Bears have their Picnic
reviews the physiological and psychological characteristics of koalas, chimpanzees and Ewoks, and
Did You Leave Your Headlights On? describes and evaluates Jawas and Sand People, optics,
Photoreceptors and Bioluminescence. There is one significant point, that it is highly unlikely for aliens
from different planets to survive in a single environment such as the Mos Eisley cantina. Example,
Jabba being a slug supposedly moves using a mavelike motion by creating a coating of secreted slime,
but in the 1997 version of the Episode IV, Jabba is seen easily moving around in the xerophytic
environment of Tatooine where he should in fact be desiccating.
The third chapter of the book is named Droids and is comprised of eight topics and two essays. The
section Wheels or Legs assesses the relationship between body shape, coordination and locomotive
capabilities of the droids. While the section I, Droid delves into the subjects of neural networks, rule
based vs. case based intelligence systems and memory wipes. The other sections in this chapter
include Do You Hear What I Hear which assesses the concepts of speaking with intelligence, the

Construction Manager Career Paper
The career that I chose to this research on paper is a Construction Project Manager (CPM). I chose this
career for many different reasons, mainly because I have always liked construction and my brother
went to school and his doing this profession. I also chose this because this job requires a lot of what I
would like to do in my future career. In this paper I am going to talk about the duties/responsibilities,
educational requirements, job demand, salary, skills/personality, stresses/satisfactions, and the
demand/future of a construction project manager. The first thing about a Construction Project Manager
that I am going to talk about are the duties of a that a CPM could have. Every project is different and
the duties may be different depending ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Career Cruising, in the next ten years there will be a 6% growth for individuals in this
profession. There is a greater increase for specific areas of construction and it all depends on the
location someone is willing to work. Locations for a construction project manager can be just about
anywhere and there are lots of possibilities if a person is willing to travel. There are local opportunities
to stay around the area but many larger companies work nationwide and if an individual wanted to
travel, these types of opportunities are available for this career. For example, my brother did a couple
of internships with a construction company called Kiewit, who does work worldwide, and he did a lot
of traveling to different jobs throughout the summers when he worked there. My brother also did an
internship with Market and Johnson and now he works full time for them. There are local companies
who stay around this area but this convenience can vary in price and it all depends on what type of
company one wants to work

  • 2. Our Town Critique Jessica Eastep Drama 1310 Art Theater Critique Our Town This movie is a period piece, at the beginning of the 1900 s. This is five years before the first automobile comes into play in this town. In this town everyone knows everyone and everyone has basically the same routine. Same paper route, same train route. There are many churches in this town, a mill, a little main street with post office and city hall. Just a basic small town, similar to mine (Crandall). Mrs. Gibbs garden and Mrs. Webb s garden are similar. This is the first play I have seen conducted in this sort of way. The narrator carries you through this story. He does more of the telling of the town, and uses the characters to show you the town. In the beginning the story revolves around the Gibbs and Webb families. At first glance you see into the everyday lives of these people, and how they conduct their daily routine as mentioned before. It s not until the narrator starts bringing in different people from the town that you realize the somewhat testimonies from the characters are breaking the fourth wall, and interacting with the audience in the theater. The big clue that gives this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are different people in this story that are similar in ways and different in many others. The relationships between the different characters like George and Emily and both of their parents are very interesting, all of these relationships and the ways of the town show the biggest reason for the play (in my eyes). The whole point is to show how special the town is, how special the people in the town are. The simple things in life, when life was much easier. The little quirks in the town make it a whole, like the paper boy, the churches, the little store in town, the way the hardware store owner drives crazy. How the entire town is like a family. All of these things make the town simply wonderful. That is what the narrator is trying to portray to us as an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Every single American people know what kind of life they went through. Therefore it touched their heard. Alvin Ailey s Cry presented wonderfully combined movements, technique and emotion. Ms. Donna Wood uses tragic face, a mask of sorrow. It is a face born to cry, but when she smiles it is with an innocent radiance, joyfulness that simple and lovely. She never tries consciously to please an audience. He was not only concentrating in movements and physical performance, but also using flowing white gown ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the second section background lightening became blue and the stage color gets brighter. Still we can see and feel some dark sides of lightening. Music tempo was faster and stronger and Ms. Donna Wood has stronger movements. The most interesting in this section was singing human voice. She starts to sing and has a little smile on her face. Most of her movement shape was very sharp, edgy and angled especially her arms at first. She represents them to be united and get free. By jumping and crossing arms, she sinks to earth and then she rises. Strong steps and ecstatically raised arms, dances freely off the stage, toward freedom. In short, in this part of work the young women life get better and better, but still it wasn t completed. In the third section Ms. Donna Wood looks like an African goddess and her body has an unexpected gracefulness. Even stage color was bright reddish, warm atmosphere around the dancer, like a sunrise in the morning. Stage would fill with colors. Music and performer are singing together. A sound of music tempo gets faster. She has the happiest face ever, no pain and no slavery. She jumps, she swings her leg and arms, and even she pulls her dress up and shows her leg an entire dance. Sound and lightening create the environment and good mood. She uses high level of dance than in previous two sections. She moves in between melody. I liked how she uses ... This may be because many view it more as an economic business and not an overall wellness plan. The United States main public program of funding is Medicare, which once followed a standard form of payment. It is now envisioned as a futuristic model that encompasses the payments of providers. Medicare is a national social insurance program that is run by the government since 1966. Also unlike Great Britain system, the program provides health care to Americans over 65 years of age for those who have paid their work dues in the system. Medicare has also extended its reach to those Americans who may be veterans or disabled. Another huge form of payment to providers is through Managed care which can be beneficial to physicians in the fee for service and capitation aspect. While this form of payment is similar to Great Britain s programs, their execution of it remains vastly different. • 7. The Merchant Of Venice By William Shakespeare The play The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare is anti semetic because anti semetic thoughts and actions are incorporated in a majority of his charcters. The actions of these Christian charcters go against Shylock, and other Jews presented in the play; as a result, establishing a clear seperation between the two ethnic groups. The constant hatred and mistreatment towards Shylock only enhances the division since it develops the idea that Christianity is the superior religion. Although there are many instances in which Shakespeare creates sympathy for Shylock rather hate, Shakespeare s portrayal of him is what highlights the anti semitism in the play. In the play, it appears to be clear that anti Semitic charcaters, such as Antonio and Salanio, exist to highlight the mistreatment and power Christians have over the Jews. Many instances in which dominance is expressed towards Jews , is towards Shylock. In the play Shylock states regarding Antonio, You call me disbeliever, cutthroat dog, And spet upon my Jewish gaberdine, And all for use of that which is mine own. Well then, it now appears you need my help. Go to, then. You come to me and you say Shylock, we would have moneys you say so, You, that did void your rheum upony beard, And foot me as you spur a stanger cur Over your threshold (1.3.121 129). We do enjoy going to the movies, so I took her advice. I did some online research and found that the Movie Pass Company was founded in 2011. Apparently, it has been around for a while, so I was surprised I had not heard of this service before. I read some reviews about the program and I found a mixed bag of reviews. American Film Noir Essay American Film Noir Student s Name Institutional Affiliation American Film Noir There have been several debates over a long period of time concerning the validity of film noir as a distinct genre. Essays and books have debated the term for years using various criteria and rubrics to back up their respective positions on the subject. As the 21st century brings new and creative trends from screenwriting to post production and everything in between, the boundaries of noir become even less certain. One may even find a fitting parallel between the noir protagonist s ambiguous and perilous quest with that of the hapless and naΓ―ve academic in search of an unequivocal definition of noir itself. This essay aims at summarizing the evolution of American film noir to present day, by using seminal works to determine how these films have become influenced by American cinematic trends of postmodern narrative structures and subjectivity. History of Noir The argument to be made is that, with the emergence of cinematic technological advances coupled with postmodernism s abandonment of meta narratives and traditional socio cultural identities, filmmakers are digging even deeper into the dark recesses of the human consciousness and using noir as a platform. It is not very surprising that to date no other genre relies more on the fragility and temperamental nature of the human condition more. The play is staged in ways where the audience can grasp the trifles of an African American family continuously experiencing setbacks whilst attempting to achieve their notion of the American Dream . To Walter Lee Younger, his idea of the American Dream is that anything is possible for those who have money. Unfortunately, there is a minor problem: Walter Lee Younger is a working class African American man who struggles to make ends meet in the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. The family undergoes ... In The Politics of Home in Lorraine Hansberry s A Raisin in the Sun, Kristin Matthews said: This literal home mirrors the psycho social struggle of mid century African Americans to attain, secure, and define a sense of place, or home, in the face of systemic socio economic racism (Matthews). The play opens with Ruth Younger waking up her son, Travis, for school. By this point, the audience can see poverty already. To put it into context, Ruth woke up and is walking through the living room that has been worn and it is visible that the furniture has been supporting too many people for too many years (Hansberry, 998) and she tries to wake up Travis, who is seen sleeping on the sofa. The house is crowded to the point where Walter and Ruth Younger s son is in a situation where the only place to sleep is the sofa. That is a sign of economic poverty, simply because the family cannot afford to live in a place where their son has a bedroom. The house is an apartment that homes: Lena Mama , Walter, Ruth, Travis, and Beneatha Younger. It is a two bedroom unit housing five people. There, again, is a sign of economic poverty, because this is a family that cannot support themselves to live in an adequate setting. The mere fact that three generations need to share a living ... William Gibson s The Miracle Worker In the book The Miracle Worker by William Gibson, Gibson utilizes diverse dramatic technique, props and finger spelling in order to represent the internal and external conflicts between Helen Keller, and Annie Sullivan throughout the play. However, throughout the act, the relationship starts to build and develops to a happy ending. Addition to that it is also inferable that Annie regrets herself for not saving her brother no matter how bad her condition was also. The memory of the tragic past remains to be her inner conflict. • 28. Diagnosis Of Disease Of A Patient The first step in correct diagnosis of disease of a patient is to know his medical history. Physician should carefully ask patient information about his/her symptoms such as the onset, duration, and possible relief. The next step is physical examination of the patient. After listening to the patient s description of the history of the symptoms, physicians generally conduct a physical examination. Inspection, Palpation, Percussion and Auscultation are the four components of physical examination. In general inspection, physician examines general body posture and proportion of the patient and then site of injury is inspected locally. After inspection, physician uses his/her hands and fingers to feel the body of the patient to know the body temperature as well as to feel underlying parts of body of the patient. This procedure is known as palpation. After palpation, physician taps body parts to get information about density of tissues and this is known as percussion. In fact there are several different types to choose from, but which one is the right choice? For instance there are many different ways to decide what ammo to use. Specifically the best way to decide is to choose by the size of the animal that is to be hunted. For instance there are three different size groups that all hunters can use to help them choose the best ammunition for their hunt. First of all we have the class known as small game. In example, small game includes animals such as squirrels, rabbits, birds, snakes, varmints, coyotes, ETC... While any rifle will work for taking out small game, some larger caliber rounds provide unnecessary overkill. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Secondly we have the mid sized game. Which is bigger than most varmints, but still smaller than most deer; this is what makes antelope, mountain goats and sheep a unique challenge compared to hunting a deer or a similar large animal. Thus using a round that ranges from a .25/06 to a .270, is preferred with this size game. Hence it is recommended to use bullets that weigh somewhere around 100 grains. Since they have a lower weighing lead, it causes the bullet to travel faster which would be ideal for longer shots. Generally shots of 200 300 feet are needed when hunting antelope and mountain goats, because of their habitat being in areas with open terrain and usually having cliffs. Next we have the third and final class of game sizes, which would be the big game. While hunting smaller animals may be fun, most hunters choose to step it up a bit and to hunt big game. For instance, big game includes animals such as deer, bears, elk, boar, and more. For this type of hunting, the best rounds to use are those ranging from a .243 Winchester up to a .338 win magnum. For instance, a good example would be a .30 caliber which is probably one of the best choices for this area. For instance, the heavier bullet generates more momentum that gives it a brush breaker type of effect, which allows the bullet to continue on its path through dense woodland areas. I had taken religion classes in my church while in high school, and we were never told or asked to think of how we interpret God s word as I have in my theology class. That is a mistake made by many churches and the church classes for students that they offer. What they tend to do is stuff information down the people s throats instead of explaining different ways of understanding God in their own unique way. I know that s what happened to me while I was in church classes. I was only told information and forced to participate even though I didn t fully understand God. It was not until I went to a church retreat where I felt God, and it was a feeling I had never experienced before, it was a new discovery for me. A Possible Examination Done By Rhetoric Experts Essay A Possible Examination Done By Rhetoric Experts On the morning of September 11, 2001, al Qaeda terrorists carried out a set of coordinated suicide attacks with four hijacked passenger planes and killed around 3,000 people on American soil. The first two planes hit the World Trade center and killed everyone on board and hundreds inside the buildings. Following this attack, the nation was informed by President Bush that these attacks were, apparent terrorist attacks on our country (http://www.history.com/topics/9 11 timeline). The third hijacked plane soon crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., killing multiple people aboard and 125 military and civilian personnel inside the building. The fourth plane was deliberately crashed into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, taking the lives of all the people and the crew aboard after a few passengers tried to take the plane back from the hijackers. It is also said that information is practically the most powerful and important weapon against corruption in the world. Those who have access to sensitive information, by whatever means either through corruption or unrestricted access, can use this information to demand bribes and even obtain more information by corruption or hide it from others. Owning that access and practicing the act of corruption and maladministration will increase transparency and will also enable society and even media to know and use the right information as the truth will be covered. The right to know the information and to fully understand society s rights is a great value that is not always realised by society, but given the example of the government, the ones who own more information have the power to hide their own actions and to control the information censoring media. As far as the government is concerned privacy, political and economic information is not to be shared, therefore they can deny access to it. • 40. The Importance Of Dress Codes In Schools Dress codes in schools were originally put into place to prevent students from dressing inappropriate clothes that would distract from their learning, while still allowing students to express themselves freely. However, these days, schools are enforcing dress codes that differ greatly from their original purpose. Schools shouldn t be able to enforce dress codes because they re unreasonable, they waste people s time, and they enforce sexist ideals. Among the banned articles of clothing are: logos, emblems and graphics; prints, such as flowers, stripes and plaids (Netter). On only the second day of school in August of 2009, Jacqueline Bell had both her children sent home for violating this school s new dress code. Her son had been sent home for wearing a plaid shirt, and her daughter, a pair of patterned pants. Nowadays the rules that schools enforce are extremely unreasonable, and are nearly impossible for families to follow. They re becoming more and more restrictive and, as Jacqueline had said, It s good enough to wear to church, but not to school (Netter). The way that Jacqueline had worded it was perfect in describing the state that dress codes had become. Dress codes were meant to only prevent students from wearing clothes that were deemed inappropriate for the school environment, but they can t even wear patterned outfits or shirts that go below a student s thigh. If it s acceptable for a students to wear patterned shirts in church, which is much more formal than a school, then they shouldn t have any problem wearing that exact same shirt to school. As well as being unreasonable, when a student is sent home for dress code violations, it wastes their time, as well are their parent s time. Stacie Dunn, whose daughter was sent home for an exposed collarbone, wrote this on Facebook Parents are being called away from their important jobs and students are missing important class time because they are showing their collarbones! • 46. β€œThe Lost Boy” The fictional life and death of a twelve year old little boy named Robert is vividly articulated in this moving tale by Thomas Wolfe. The reader learns of the boy s life through four well developed points of view. The reader s first glimpse into Robert s character is expressed through a third person narrative. This section takes place on a particularly important afternoon in the boy s life. The second and third views are memories of the child, through the eyes of his mother and sister. His mother paints the picture of an extraordinary child whom she loved dearly and his sister illustrates the love that the boy had for others. Finally, an account from the narrator is given in the ending. It is in the last section of this work that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (2007) In the second and third portions of the saga the boy s mother and sister recall personal memories of the deceased. The narrator is established as Robert s younger brother in these sections, as well. The mother in this story unapologetically minimizes the narrator s abilities while exalting Robert. This statement describes that miracles are not justified by reports or statements and there are no testimonials for miracles. For example, Jesus resurrection [3], the original witness may be wrong whether they saw Jesus or may be the report with the Paul may be wrong. He also believed that miracle reports are illogical. He stated that people have faith on miracles due to holy belief but without reasons. Hume also said that There must be a uniform experience against every miraculous event, otherwise the event cannot be taken into consideration. For example, miracle of Jesus walks on water. When Teddy Bears have their Picnic reviews the physiological and psychological characteristics of koalas, chimpanzees and Ewoks, and Did You Leave Your Headlights On? describes and evaluates Jawas and Sand People, optics, Photoreceptors and Bioluminescence. There is one significant point, that it is highly unlikely for aliens from different planets to survive in a single environment such as the Mos Eisley cantina. Example, Jabba being a slug supposedly moves using a mavelike motion by creating a coating of secreted slime, but in the 1997 version of the Episode IV, Jabba is seen easily moving around in the xerophytic environment of Tatooine where he should in fact be desiccating. The third chapter of the book is named Droids and is comprised of eight topics and two essays. The section Wheels or Legs assesses the relationship between body shape, coordination and locomotive capabilities of the droids.
