Musical Analysis Of Songs Without Words
Musical Analysis of Songs Without Words, Op. 19, No. 3 by Felix Mendelssohn Felix
Mendelssohn composed Songs Without Words, Op. 19, No. 3 during the Romantic Period. It is
known as a hunting song. The form of this song can be categorized as a rondo. This can be
argued because the A theme that begins at measure 5 reappears throughout the song about two
times. It comes back at measures 50 and 83. In between these A sections are a B section and a C
section. The B section starts in measure 29 and the C section starts at measure 67. Measures 1 5
are a short introduction. The A section begins at the fourth beat of measure 5 and is in A major.
The A section ends in a half cadence, which is an E major chord. The B section, which starts on the
fourth beat of measure 29, is in C sharp natural minor. This is the relative minor of E major,
which was the final chord of the first A section. At measure 49, there is a modulation back to A
major which leads into a second A section beginning at measure 50. However, this A section is
different mainly because the melody appears in the left hand and the section ends in an imperfect
authentic cadence instead of a half cadence. This cadence is at the downbeat of measure 67, and
there is no modulation to E major this time. The C section begins at measure 67 and is in A major.
This section acts more as a transitional section that leads into a new statement of the main theme at
measure 83. The final A section restates the main theme one last

strength in numbers. They also gave Blackmon a second family . She was one determined
woman, and she was going to raise us up to be strong and determined too. (Lowery 16/17) This
shows that even though Lynda was injured she didn t let anything stop her because she was
determined just like her mother. This decision affected the lives of those around the main character
because in the long run they got the rights that they deserved. They also gained a sense of
community and a sense of pride because they worked for what they believed in. They learned many

What Symbolism Mean To Me
Symbols can be defined as; a thing that represents or stands for something else, especially a
material object representing something abstract. (Google Dictionary) There are countless of
symbols out there that are important and meaningful to my life. But there are a few symbols that
is extra special and represents me as a person and who I am today. The four most important
symbols in my life are a cross, a family, the Vietnam flag, and the piano which all connects back to
one big symbol, a heart. To begin, a cross is one of the most important symbols in my life. The
cross symbolizes my religion which represents my hope and faith. The cross is where the Lord our
God died on. As a catholic, the cross is important to me because it reminds me... Show more content

Playing the piano is one of the few things that I enjoy doing the most. Learning or playing the
piano teaches me how to be patient when I might can t get the correct notes right away. The
sounds and musics coming out from a piano just creates a happier mood around. Whenever I feel
sad or bored, playing the piano just puts a smile on my face. Being able to play the piano shows me
all the hard work I had put into it and proves that I would be able to do anything if I just put in
the time and effort. The piano is represents a heart because it s something I love and is a major

Jfk Inaugural Address Analysis
On January 20, 1961, John Fitzgerald Kennedy gave his inaugural address in front of thousands of
anticipating Americans. Fear and uncertainty was imbedded in the minds of all Americans as the
Cold War neared its climax. The United States were also struggling with racial tensions and social
inequalities, leading into the presidential election of 1961. With severe consideration for the
ongoing national and international turmoil, President Kennedy sought to invoke a sense of unity in
the American people. Furthermore, Kennedy=s inaugural address uses pathos to flatter and
influence the emotions of the people, without distracting from the truth and evidence expected from
a national leader.

Immanuel Kant s Uninable Peace
In 1795, Immanuel Kant a German philosopher wrote an essay titled perpetual peace: a
philosophical sketch where he lays down rubrics that define the general nature of states as political
entities and how state structures and external policies should be reformed to ensure lasting peace.
Over a century later, the proposal he made in this essay have been linked to traits and theories in
modern day society like the democratic peace theorythat states that democratic nations don t fight
one another, and the cosmopolitan theory which is used to explain the unprecedented rise in
regional organizations. So far, the EU is considered as the most successful regional organization
that has managed to achieve peace and cooperation even amongst countries... Show more content on

The first definitive article states that the civil constitution of every state shall be republican
(Kant, 1795). However, while questioning whether only republican constitutions can bring
about peace, he reasoned that since power will be constituted in the people, they would least
likely to resort to war than if it were an authoritarian regime. While noting that with this
explanation, the citizens who hold power can be described as despotic, Christian Covell in his
book on the law of nations in political thought noted that Kant indicated that international peace
is dependent on the transformation of domestic policies. He further linked this proposal to just
war theory especially in relation to jus ad bellum because Kant acknowledged that states need
some sort of authorization to go to war. He stated that the form of constitution is presented as a
decisive factor in determining if the lawful authority of states to wage war would ever be
exercised (Covell, 2009). Still, Lars Erik Cederman in his article on modelling democratic peace
as a Kantian selection process , noted that this proposal was flawed in the sense that the spread of
norms that bring progress don t have to stop at democratic borders. According to Cederman, once
the spread of progress begins, the rule of law creeps into interstate, or more precisely inter
democratic,

Themes of Blackberry Picking by Seamus Heaney Essay
Blackberry picking by Seamus Heaney is about time, gluttony, limitations of life, and to some
extent, the struggles of life. Heaney writes retrospectively about his life, with hindsight, about how
he as a child, would go blackberry picking during a particular time of year.
Throughout the poem and particularly in the first stanza, Heaney uses a wide range of literary
devices such as intense imagery or sensory imagery, exceptionally meaningful metaphors and
alliteration.
Alliteration is used quite often in the poem. Throughout the whole poem, there is a frequent
repetition of b words, such as big dark blobs burned . In the readers mind, this creates a more
powerful image of the berries, and gives a strong impression of their shape ... Show more content on

They set out with milk cans, pea tins, and jam pots . He was thrilled to pick the blackberries, and
eventually get drunk on them. He was not worried about the dangers, briars scratched and wet
grass bleached our boots . His childish desires pressured him to forget all risks, and do what he
craves for all year long.
During and after filling up their cans, it is clear that the pace of the poem become is not fast, but
is not slow either, rather it is in the middle. This is evident as they trekked and picked until the
cans were full, . Trekked suggests that they wandered around the round hayfields, cornfields and
potato drills until they filled up their cans.
Heaney then says Our hands were peppered, with thorn pricks, our palms sticky as Bluebeard s .
He uses another simile by comparing their palms to that of Bluebeards, a well known murderer in
some well known fairy tales. He used to murder his wives with his own hands, as a result, his
hands would ve been covered by blood. Therefore, after picking so many berries, their hands would
be sticky from blackberries rather than blood.
After picking the berries, there hopes were really high hoarded , meaning to store with excitement,
they had their hopes up, but suddenly, after they filled the bath with blackberries, they found their
treasure to be infested with rat gray fungus , which put their hopes back down again.

The Importance Of Internet Censorship
The internet should not be censored for violent and sexual content. Parents should trust their
children and hold them to the honor system. Additionally, internet censorship may lead to a reduced
amount of creativity and collaboration. Internet censorship would affect the public immensely as it
is a direct violation of the public s right to express themselves in whatever manner they choose.
Parents should trust their children and hold them to the honor system when it comes to using
public resources such as the internet. Ideally, parents should not have to constantly worry about
their children using the internet. The reality of the situation is, parents do worry about everything
their child might encounter as a result of the evilin the world. However, parents ought to raise their
children in a fashion where they are consciously able to determine right from wrong within their
decisions. Regardless of the manner in which parents discipline their children, children will always
be curious to explore the realm of the internet whilst possibly encountering something inappropriate
for their viewing. Consequently, establishing an honor system between the parent and the child
early on creates a mutual level of understanding. Along with the establishment of trust, the parent is
capable of frequently checking in with the child in regards to the child s use of the internet.

The Right Of Free Speech
Throughout American history, the foundation on which American democratic principles are based,
has been repeatedly tested. In the 1700s, the right of free speech was challenged when President
John Adams proposed the Alien and Sedition Acts. Adams attempted to stop the Democratic
Republicans such as Thomas Jefferson, from criticizing government decisions. Similarly, during
the Civil War President Abraham Lincoln challenged freedom of the press when he took action to
restrict the printing of military news. Lincoln ordered his generals in the field to control the press
and crack down on speech critical of his administration to limit dissent against the war effort.
However, one historical era stands out as a decidedly pivotal test of... Show more content on

Twentieth century U.S. history saw two major episodes of repression and violence against
communists and leftist radicals, that occurred approximately three decades apart. During the early
part of the 1920s, America entered its first period of extreme anti communist sentiment, the First
Red Scare. After the successful Bolshevik Revolution in Russia in 1917, American citizens began
to fear the threat of communist influence at home. At the end of WWI, American workers unhappy
with wages and spiralling inflation, launched widespread sometimes violent strikes with the
support of growing labor unions. Some of these unions called for government takeover of private
industries. For instance, railroad workers called for the national government to take permanent
control of the railroad system. The growing waves strikes signalled a period of extreme civil
unrest; American citizens became frightened that they would face a revolution similar to the one
that had just taken place in Russia. In response, Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer, in an effort to
gain the attention of American voters to support his presidential aspirations, launched a nationwide
crusade against anyone he identified as having leftist views. Under Palmer s leadership, thousands
of Americans were arrested for taking part in alleged subversion, and thousands of others were
stripped of their civil liberties. In violation of

Trader Joe s chief executives have been careful in their expanding of the brand to more

creativity of their employees, even to the extent that each store is free to organize products

No Country For Old Men Fate Analysis
Fate in No Country for Old Men
The idea of fate has been present in the world for thousands of years. From the beginning of the
Old Testament to the Shakespearean plays, such as Macbeth. The idea of fate is not unknown or
underused in any way. In Cormac McCarthy s novel, No Country for Old Men, shows an
extremely artful depiction of fate and its role in the lives of men. The book shows a journey of a
money filled briefcase and the bloodshed that is left in its path. The barren and sterile southwest is
known for its violent past and its Old Western style of living. The living in which deathand
destruction were common, and almost a day to day way of life. However, Cormac McCarthy
demonstrates this even better in No Country for Old Men. He ... Show more content on

Small things. Things you wouldn t even notice. They pass from hand to hand. People don t pay
attention. And then one day there is an accounting. And after that nothing is the same...you see
the problem. To separate the act from the thing. As if parts of some moment in history might be
interchangeable with the parts of some other moment. How could that be? Well, it s just a coin.
Yes. That s true. Is it? (McCarthy 57). In this quote, Anton asks the man to choose which side of
the coin will land facing upwards (to call it ) and because the man called it correctly, Anton let
the man live and did not kill him. This small coin flip plays a such a large role in the idea of fate
because it leaves Anton questioning if it was fate that caused the man to guess correctly, or if it
was just pure luck and chance. Though not directly proving that fate causes the man to be left
alive, it brings the overall idea to thought and then keeps the thought present for the remainder of
the novel. One critic talking about the theme of fate in Cormac McCarthy s novels says, The
killer s presumed insanity is the natural outcome of a deterministic philosophy prefigured in the
dialogue between John Grady Cole and Duena Alfonsa in All the Pretty Horses, when they ponder
the role of fate, chance, and choice through the metaphor of the coin toss. The same chaos theory
that formed the intellectual basis for that conversation motivates the thoughts and actions of Anton
Chigurh (Michael Hollister). In this analysis, of McCarthy s novels as a whole, the critic helps
push the idea that Anton is a symbol of fate and evil when he describes the relation of his coin to
McCarthy s other work, All the Pretty Horses. By means of the coin and the character of Anton,
McCarthy is able to set fate in the mind of the reader and suggest its power when it comes to
determining the outcome of a

I am part of the 3.8% of snow skiing accidents.
Now that I have shared a brief overview of the spinal cord and some statistics about spinal cord
injuries, we will look at the past research that has led to the treatments most commonly used today.
In 1990, a steroid called dexamethasone was discovered in human trials to preserve some motor
and sensory function if administered at high doses within 8 hours of injury. Surgery used to
remove fluid, tissue, or bone fragments, or to stabilize fractured vertebrae by fusing bones or
inserting hardware has also proven to be one of the most thorough measures to prevent further harm.
I received both of these treatments after my accident, and they are the same that have been used for
the past decade. Until recently, doctors had no way of limiting such disabilities, aside from
stabilizing the cord to prevent added destruction, treating infections, and prescribing rehabilitative
therapy to maximize any remaining capabilities.
Within the past few years, however, scientists have made many new advancements. The United
States Food and Drug Administration has approved 2 electronic systems that regulate muscles by
sending electrical signals through implanted wires, called functional electrical stimulation (FES).
Some proteins have been found to promote nerve growth and restore limb function and sensation

Tough College Professors
We all have professors, the one that gives us a C average after busting our brain to write a five

math problems. On the other hand, we got the one that gives easy tests. Some teachers a lenient

and understanding it is important. A world renowned professorat my college offers a class that all
other students say is the most insightful and brilliant on campus. However, the professor is a
notoriously hard grader. Even though the professor is a hard grader, understanding what I ve learnt

Tough college professors help us to improve and understand clearly what we learn. It s not all
about passing the class instead it s about learning the material and knowing how to implement it in

George Orwell Doesn T Like The Act Of Imperialism
George Orwell who is a European soldier doesn t like the act of imperialism and colonialism of
the people of Burma. While working in Burma as a soldier Orwell quickly sees how much the
people hate him in that uniform, but, because he has the uniform and the power the people of
Burmese obey him. But when he s faced with a problem involving an elephant he will let the
people of Burmese choose for him rather than choosing the right thing to do.
Orwell who is a imperial police officer in Burma talks about his experience in being face to face
with imperialism and colonialism. In the first sentence Orwell speaks about how I was hated by
large groups of people , though its not the actual Orwell the people of Burma hate, but, its only
the uniform that they hate. What the uniform means to the people of Burma is that they are bad
people who all they want is power through brut force. Orwell quickly disfigures any chance of

The Human Condition In Christopher Marlowe s The...
The human condition is described as the characteristics, both negative and positive, events and
situations that compose the aspects of a human being. One of the complexities of being human is
finding true happiness. As people grow older, they begin to understand the real definition of being
happy and contented. On the way to fulfil true happiness, one starts realizing what really matters
and what doesn t. Christopher Marlowes The Passionate Shepherd to His Loveshows how the
shepherd is trying to get his love to go with him by offering her tremendous gifts. He promises to
give her gifts that would please her and to prove that he will do anything for her. On the other hand,
Sir Walter Raleighs The Nymph s Reply to the Shepherd basically turns down the shepherd s offer
and explains that material gifts just give off temporary happiness. Both Christopher Marlowe
and Sir Walter Raleigh use figurative language to help readers understand the sad reality that all
things in the world are temporary and true happiness does not come from gifts and tangible
things but from our experiences. The Passionate Shepherd to His Love is one of Christopher
Marlowe s pastoral poem. A pastoral poem deals with the idealistic rather than realistic viewpoint
of the life of the country. In the poem, the speaker is trying to convince his love to come and live
with him. The setting that gets described here sets the mood of the poem. The sincerity and the
eagerness of the speaker can be observed

Claims About Wrong Strategic Direction Summary
Authors Claims about Wrong Strategic Directions Even though this book was focused on the role
of logistic revolution, the real intention of the authors was to apprehend the consequences and
results of logistics revolution in relation to the employees and workers. Bonacich, Edna and Wilson,
(2008:VII) shows their intention in the beginning of the book with the following statement, this
book tells the story of those workers and the work they do to get us the goods we all depend on .
This statement demonstrates the importance of the workers in respect to delivering the goods to
the end consumers. Likewise, the authors also made the following statement, We are interested... in

In this case, the company has demonstrated its powerful position in respect to the suppliers and
workers, thus being able to create the conditions where the costs are quite low, and the revenues
are generated. On the other hand, some researchers agree that such large retailers as Wal Mart are
able to maintain strong control over the suppliers and this may be considered as benefit for the
suppliers (Bloom and Perry, 2001). It was revealed in the recent research that the suppliers that
manage only small market share tend to demonstrate poor organisational performance in contrast to
the situation when they have Wal Mart as the primary retailer (Bloom and Perry, 2001).
Consequently, this implies that Wal Mart contributes to the strong supplier performance as well as
their stable and strong position on the market, despite the financial pressures that Wal Mart puts on
the suppliers (Bloom and Perry, 2001). This way, Wal Mart contributes not only to the generation of
its own revenues but also to the stable ad ongoing supplier revenue generating process in an indirect
way (Turner, Katz and Hurd, 2001). From the economic perspective, this activity contributes to the
national economic performance of the domestic market, namely USA (Turner, Katz and Hurd,
2001). This implies that stability of the strength in the position of

Economic Inequality In Canada
Money. It is often said that it is not the most important thing in life. For many people, however, it is
right up there next to air in importance. Money is what allows people have the freedom to do
whatever they desire, but sadly not everyone has access to such luxury. In Canada, the splitting of
wealth between humans of every culture is much better than in other countries such as the United
States, however, with the rise in povertyit could still be greatly improved. As the gap between the
rich and the poor increases, the people on the lower side of the income scale start to experience
many issues. Economic inequalityeffects people in more ways than just buying power, it also

Essay about Microbial Desalination Cells
Microbial Desalination Cells
Desalination is the removal of salt from seawater to provide freshwater especially in developing
countries. Currently, MFCs (Microbial Fuel Cells) have generated electricity from biomass using
bacteria. These microbes cause an electric current where electrons flow from the anode to the
cathode where the reduction of oxygen occurs. A revolutionary new method called MDCs
(Microbial Desalination Cells) could potentially desalinate water and produce energy depending
on the design or set up of the cell. This process is similar to water electrodialysis but uses bacteria
as the source of energy rather than an external source. If the set up of the MDC is altered to
desalinate water, then the highest amount ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

roughened side of one of the plastic containers. I will use a ruler to measure the location of the

The Treatment Of Birth Control
According to the United States census, the world population is over 7 billion and a birth occurs
every 8 seconds. China leads with well over 1.3 billion people. There are rural areas, in Africa
that women have never heard of any form of birth control. In those areas, women have 6 or more
children. According to the United nations report (2013), The world s population is expected to
reach 9.6 billion by 2050. There is already a lack of natural global resources. The environment is
showing signs of misuse caused by humans. While, reproduction is a part of life and a human right.
We as people need to work on preserving our natural resources, for the betterment of our future.
And, birth controlis a considered method in helping control our population. Birth control is also
another way of helping developing countries due to lack of obstetric care, or countries that are
disease, and poverty stricken.
The pill allowed women, control not only in their sexual explorations but in society. They had the
ability to be more economically stable before having children. With the choice to delay pregnancy,
it gives those a choice in how they will live their lives. Some can complete their education, follow
their dreams, and start businesses.

Small Ensembles Concert Report
On April 26th, I attended the College of Liberal Arts Department of Performance Studies
presenting there Small Ensembles Concert. The performance began at 7:30 at Our Saviour s
Lutheran Church and the ensemble was coached by David Wilborn. The ensemble included a
variety of brass including; a horn trio, a brass trio, a trombone and tape, and a trombone choir.
The performers were talented, but I did not care for the pieces that were chosen for the concert.
The first piece is called Trio in E Flat Major Op. 40 originally by Johannes Brahms and it is
performed by the horn trio. The three instruments played are violin played by Hector Vera, horn
played by Megan Simmons, and paint played by David Wilborn the conductor. This piece begins

The ten person trombone choir stays on the stage to perform this piece, and the inspiration
behind this piece is for his mother. The seventh and final piece is called Now The Powers of
Heaven by Alexander Sheremetiev. This piece is performed once again by the ten person
trombone choir. There is another piece on the program titled San Gabriel by David Wilborn the
conductor but it is never played, making Now The Powers of Heaven under the pressure of a
finale piece. This concert overall was interesting and entertaining. The way that the ensemble is
split into trios and groups and the short and plentiful songs provide a refreshing change
continuously giving the audience a chance to hear different play styles. The only critique I have
of the pieces is that at times they had a disorganized sound that I did not recognize as pleasant to
listen to. The emotion I was able to leave with was a lightened mood, but I did not have any deep
emotional connection to the music. My favorite piece of the night was The Obstinate because of
the amazing french horn solo that is played halfway through and leads into the conclusion of the
song. The style of this concert was new to me and I enjoyed becoming a part of a musical era and
style that is not something that I would typically indulge in. The art behind these pieces was shown
through the passion of the performers

Successful Open Marriages In Opening Up By Alfred Kinsey
Open marriages are a form of relationship first brought into the public eye by Alfred Kinsey in the
1960s. Since then, the idea of approved extra martial affairs have become even more popular,
despite the uneducated critics hollering about it being an insult to the institution of marriage, or a
way to justify cheating on one s significant other. As open marriages start to become a more
feasible option for couples looking to explore their sexuality, a common question always seems to
come up; this inquiry, in fact, will be the purpose of the following text. To begin, I use examples
from the 2004 biographical film Kinsey, directed by Bill Condon and produced by Gail Mutrux.
While integrating discussion from Tristan Taormino and her book Opening Up: A Guide to
Sustaining Open Relationships, I introduce the concept of sociosexuality with the help of Lars
Penke s Sociosexual Orientation Inventory. In creating discussion with the above names, I aim to
demonstrate just what does make for a successful open relationship.
In the film Kinsey (Condon Mutrux, 2004), there is a clear divide between what constitutes a
successful and unsuccessful open relationship. Alfred Kinsey and his wife Clara Macmillan both
engage in extramarital affairs, yet remain close physically, emotionally, and sexually. Alternatively,
Clyde Martin (whom, it is worth noting, at one time engaged in an affair with both Kinsey and his
wife) starts a fight with another man, Paul Gebhard, after finding out Mrs.

It all began on July 5, 2015, when my family and I traveled back from Fort Davis, Texas, to our

into Odessa, we noticed vehicles stranded on the interstate that impeded our progress. Irritably, we
were forced to stop in the middle of the road. Instantly, the music paused. In frustration, I started
switching the stations; nevertheless, all remained silent. After several minutes of scanning dead air,
finally the radio connected to the station, 93.3 FM. An emergency broadcast announcer alerted the

Worst Actions Of Professionalism Analysis

opinion there are many forms of negativity to determine the quality of an individual and their

College Costs Are Out Of Control Essay
People with college degrees are paid 80% more than people with only a high school education.
When the college degree is from a more prestigious school, that percentage increases even further
(McArdle). Even President Barack Obama acknowledged this in a 2012 speech, saying that The
incomes of folks with a collegedegree are twice as high as those who don t have a high school
diploma (Lemann). While a college educationis a good investment for the long run, the cost of
college is not a positive. The price of goods has risen due to inflation over the past decade, but
during that time college increased drastically. The rates have nearly doubled, but the things that
students learn still remain the same. If students are paying so much more... Show more content on

The plan will help the state to reach its goal of helping 60 percent of Idahoans between the ages

students coming into college that the rates would be lower. However, colleges are not decreasing
costs, but instead increasing them, making tuition costs harder on students. The job market is
evolving, causing college to be essential to anyone that wants to pursue a job. In a 2012 speech,
President Barack Obama said that right now, the unemployment rate for Americans with a college

people that have a college education are better off than those without one. Moreover, the current job
market is becoming more information based, which requires more literacy, math skills and critical

The Question For Modern Day Society
The first words in Bible are, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1,
English Standard Version). This statement leaves a question for modern day society. Does this
verse mean God created the universe in six literal days and rest on the seventh? Or could it
possibly mean this was a non literal text that leaves room for the possibility of evolution. Evolution
and Creationismhave been battling over this issue for many years. What must be realized before
examining these two theories is the fact that both require faith. Requiring faith means neither can be
proven right completely. These two theories bring to light the literal and non literal reading of
Genesis 1 and 2. Creationism believes in the literal interpretation of the text, and evolution,
specifically theistic evolution, believes in non literal interpretation. The literal interpretation states
God created everything in six days just as it states which leaves little wiggle room for the non literal
interpretation. However, there is some scientific reasoning and fact that can reinforce their system
of thinking. While a non literal theistic evolutionist approach is a plausible option of the account in
Genesis one, the Creationist s literal interpretation outweighs the non literal because the analysis of
the text agrees with the literal approach and the current scientific evidence, history, and authority of
scripture point to a young earth. The non literal interpretation of the Holy Scripture

Evolution Of The Female Professional Statistics
Evolution is something that has occurred since the beginning of time and as the decades go on,
evolution continues to occur throughout various aspects of life. One of these prominent spectrums
is the work place. While women have not always blossomed in the business world, the female
professional statistics have begun and continued to increase as time has. Although there is more
genderequality amongst several companies, the numbers aren t necessarily where they should be.
According to an article by Warner, women make up 50.8% of the population, only 14.6% of those
women hold executive positions in the workplace. Even less are top earners and less than 5% are
Fortune 500CEO s. The numbers continue to drop for women of color as only 11.9% hold
positions at the manager level (Warner, 2014). And according to the article by Kranc (2014),
...although women make up 19 percent of director positions within the S P 100, they represent
only 8 percent of the highest paid executives (Kranc, 2014). These numbers provided by Warner
are proof that there are still problems regarding the growth of women in the corporate world,
especially when the women are of a minority background. Fortunately, as will be discussed in this
assignment, this gender gap is beginning to close as women are standing their ground and fighting
for the positions and pay that they deserve.

Asteroid Theory
In the early nineteen hundreds, dinosaur fossils were discovered and recognized around the globe.
Scientists and paleontologists began contemplating how such densely populated creatures vanished.
Currently, paleontologists debate the two main hypotheses of how the dinosaurs died from either
the volcano activity or the asteroid impact. Both theories resulted in the same outcome yet differ in
key elements such as, the physical evidence left behind encourages every conceivable clarification
for the termination in charge of wiping out the dinosaurs.
As a matter of fact the theory that has gained wide acceptance today is that an asteroid collided
with Earth. A large meteor like ball striking the Earth ejecting enough debris and dust that it
resulted sunlight blockage long enough to modify the atmospheres climate, executing a
comparability of the nuclear winter. These events occurred in a sort of domino effect, plants were
the first to die out, followed by the herbivores that ate them, and finally the carnivores that fed on
the herbivores. Walter and Luis Alvarez from the University of California at Berkeley proposed the
main hypothesis in 1980. Team Alvarez firmly believed that the iridium layer is to blame an asteroid

Mental Health Counseling Analysis
One of the most interesting aspects of developing a mind for the mental health field is being
able to evaluate, understand, and cope with the obstacles of daily living in a healthier way.
Growing up, I was told that I was a happy child that did well in school and got along with others.
As I got older, I was told that I was a moody teen that slacked in schooland became distant from
others. Starting collegeI was told that I was a miserable adult with no motivation for school and
kept away from others. By the end of college, I was told that I was a bright young lady that
would go far in life and was able to approach others. When I took a look back and broke down my
life into smaller sections, I acquired the need to figure out what made my life the way it was
then, and also how it changed to be what it is today. I learned that without evaluating the core of
what was happening to me as a person, the people in my environment based my value on what
they could only see on the surface. When that happened, I also began to base my value on the
words that were told to me. I knew the life that I wanted for myself, but at the same time I did not
know how to get there.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I fell in love with the notion of living a life full of wellness and began to understand how setting
goals for yourself was a necessity. Although counseling and mental health is still beyond my full
understanding, I believe I could start by helping others begin to see their value in life and guide
them to understanding wellness. To me over all wellness is the foundation to counseling and the
foundation to life. One example of wellness is the process of losing weight and becoming a
healthier version of yourself. You cannot exercise, lose weight, and change your overall physical
health if you do not take the time to change your mental state

Identify various elements in your product/ service category that the customers value.
Product differentiation is the greatest aspect of AMD (www.amd.com) as a company on which it

increase in costs.
AMD (www.amd.com) can use innovation, speed, manufacturing techniques, responsiveness,
quality as a base for its products to be unique. It also needs to be focused on customer preference as
well. AMD should follow the strategy of differentiation through product innovation and developing
product features that customers value than on maintaining a low competitive price. Let me put

Archduke Ferdinand Assassination
Although the preponderance of people in the world today believe that the assassination of
Archduke Franz Ferdinand of the Austria Hungary Empire caused the ensuing Great War , it was
not the sole reason behind the Great War and the carnage that permeated all of Europe afterwards
from 1914 to 1919. Many people wonder if the Great War and the millions of deaths of both
soldiers and civilians could have been avoided if the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austriawas not
killed on June 28th, of 1914. Many theories have been formulated, however, according to Henry
Kissinger, The well respected political scientist, The war would happen one way or another. Henry
Kissinger was noted to have said in an interview with Business Insider that, The Great War was an
unavoidable catastrophe . Although many people believe that the Great War, was solely caused by
the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the Great War and the resulting casualties of over
37 million, in all... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even though the scale of the war was smaller, more than 17 million deaths and more than 20
million were wounded. According to Madeline Albright, the former Secretary of State, from the
Clinton administration, Every war is avoidable, all you need are the right leaders in place. Perhaps
if this were true then the Great War would never have happened. Even though much of the world
believes that World War One was a direct result of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand,
World War One actually was inevitable, because of the already strained relations in the serbian area,
the pressure that the austrian and german government put on the rest of europe to fight, and the
instability in russia that led to their eventual departure from the war. It was not the murder of the
archduke that started the war but actually a series of other events and greediness displayed by the
aristocracy of the German and Austro Hungarian

Budweiser Clydesdale s Commercial Analysis
Brotherhood Budweiser Clydesdales commercials are always one of the most recognized
commercials during a super Bowl. They have been aired every year starting on Super Bowl XX
in 1986, because of this, many consider Budweiser ads as part of Super Bowl tradition. From the
many, I chose the one aired on Super Bowl XLVII (2013), titled Brotherhood . Not only was this
one of the top Budweiser commercial but it broke record over other commercials as one of the
most shared Super Bowl Ad. Brotherhood is about a farmer who raises a horse (Clydesdale) from
its birth, creating a beautiful relationship with it as it grew up. Although he has cared for his horse
since birth, he sells it to Budweiser s Clydesdale. Three years later, the farmer was reading

The Pros And Cons Of Dystopias
My topic is about dystopias. Dystopias are places that people think of that are bad. Some people
think of utopias as a happy place where they can go and everything is perfect, but a dystopia is
the very opposite. Usually a dystopia is a very bad place and things aren t perfect in anyway.
Most people don t think of dystopias because some dystopias can be scary and some could be
dangerous if you think about it. An example is when the book Harrison Bergeronhad the dancers
wear these handicaps because people think that s the right thing to do but others think of that as a
dystopia, because some people don t want to have to dance around with masks and weights on.
In the book The House of The Scorpion the main place called Opium is definitely a ... Show more

The dancer stood up to dance with Harrison when he took off all of his handicaps and made the
dancer take off her mask and chains to dance. That s when the handicap general came through the
door with a gun pointed at Harrison because he broke the law by taking off his handicaps.
In some books there is a dystopia and some there is a utopia. It all depends on who s in the story
and what setting the story is about. Some people like dystopias and some people like utopias it
all depend on the character. When people imagine a dystopia they imagine a bad place where
things aren t perfect or in order. Most dystopias have things everywhere and no one looks or acts
the same.
Dystopias are places where anything can happen and it will be okay no one has to follow the
rules or stay in order either. A utopia usually means everything and everyone are perfect where
everything is inline no one breaks any rules everyone is perfectly disciplined and again perfect.
But when you have a dystopia nobody follows the rules and nobody is disciplined.
In total a dystopia is a very bad place where no one is in order or follows any rules because that s
not really normal for them. Normal in a dystopia would be things messed up and no one has

Prohibit discrimination on different groups and intentionally set the language obstacles
Modify and abolish the legal provisions that are unequal, unreasonable and deprive human rights of

Labor Unions And The Free Market
When the labor unions destroyed the free markets, it was a good thing because it gave the
working class less working hours and more pay. According to Albert Parsons s testimony in
Document B, states that the working class is working for long hours and little pay. Parsons wants
the employees to have better working conditions, so less work hours and little pay. This shows that
Parsons understands that the working class had poor quality labor conditions and wanted them to
improve. Therefore, when the free market was destroyed by the labor unions, it created better
working conditions for the working class. When the labor unions destroyed the free markets, it was
a good thing because it created change for the working department. According to Samuel

PSYCHOPATHY OR ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY DISORDER2.
Abstract
This paper will focus on the relevance of assessing psychopathy or antisocial personality disorder.
The importance of the assessment and the adjudication process will also be discussed.
Key words: psychopathy, antisocial personality disorder, violence recidivism.
PSYCHOPATHY OR ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY DISORDER3.
According to Pinel (1801) psychopathy is defined as persons with complete cognitive capacity but
these persons experienced spontaneous and antisocial behavior. These persons suffered from mania
without insanity. Pinel (1801) in his description was distinguishing those persons whose unlawful
acts and depraved acts were due to mental deficiencies or psychopathology as opposed to those
with no indication of any mental defects. Psychopathy has a strong connection to violent behavior
and recidivism. Research indicates that persons with high levels of psychopathy are more likely to
continue instrumental violent behavior when compared to those person s with lower levels of
psychopathy Jackson, R. (2008). Mannerisms connected to this behavior are grandiosity and
arrogance which are frequently found in psychopaths . According to a study completed by
Williamson, Hare and Wong (1987), criminals with high PCL R scores

Function Of A Reflection On Social Media
In this reflection I will be talking about social media and the ways that I personally use social
media in order to analyze and have an understanding so that I can hopefully improve my social
media competence. The types of social media outlets I have are: Reddit, Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter, and Snapchat. I don t really postanything on Reddit, Facebook, and Snapchat but on
Instagram I try to not post photos with myself in it because I want my followers to see the world
I see but the captions I put are usually not really relative to the photo and usually meme
sounding. On Twitter I mostly retweet stuff that I think my friends would enjoy like articles or
cool announcements and I make polls letting them decided what I should do or where to travel
next. Not much thought goes into deciding what I post, I usually decide on the quality of the
photo. If the quality of the photo is nice then usually the picture is just as nice. What I try to
show my followers is the cool places that I go to or all the neat stuff that I do rather than
everyday life like what I eat or how I look. I want to be seen the same way people see me in real
life so that they re not taken back at the fact that I may be different to have they see me online.
What my posts say about me is that I have different interests whether it s pictures from art
museums or of my gundam models. I also have photos from my recent trip to Japan so my posts
say that I like to travel. After taking the Narcissistic

  • 2. Musical Analysis Of Songs Without Words Musical Analysis of Songs Without Words, Op. 19, No. 3 by Felix Mendelssohn Felix Mendelssohn composed Songs Without Words, Op. 19, No. 3 during the Romantic Period. It is known as a hunting song. The form of this song can be categorized as a rondo. This can be argued because the A theme that begins at measure 5 reappears throughout the song about two times. It comes back at measures 50 and 83. In between these A sections are a B section and a C section. The B section starts in measure 29 and the C section starts at measure 67. Measures 1 5 are a short introduction. The A section begins at the fourth beat of measure 5 and is in A major. The A section ends in a half cadence, which is an E major chord. The B section, which starts on the fourth beat of measure 29, is in C sharp natural minor. This is the relative minor of E major, which was the final chord of the first A section. At measure 49, there is a modulation back to A major which leads into a second A section beginning at measure 50. However, this A section is different mainly because the melody appears in the left hand and the section ends in an imperfect authentic cadence instead of a half cadence. This cadence is at the downbeat of measure 67, and there is no modulation to E major this time. The C section begins at measure 67 and is in A major. This section acts more as a transitional section that leads into a new statement of the main theme at measure 83. The final A section restates the main theme one last ... Immanuel Kant s Uninable Peace In 1795, Immanuel Kant a German philosopher wrote an essay titled perpetual peace: a philosophical sketch where he lays down rubrics that define the general nature of states as political entities and how state structures and external policies should be reformed to ensure lasting peace. Over a century later, the proposal he made in this essay have been linked to traits and theories in modern day society like the democratic peace theorythat states that democratic nations don t fight one another, and the cosmopolitan theory which is used to explain the unprecedented rise in regional organizations. The first definitive article states that the civil constitution of every state shall be republican (Kant, 1795). However, while questioning whether only republican constitutions can bring about peace, he reasoned that since power will be constituted in the people, they would least likely to resort to war than if it were an authoritarian regime. While noting that with this explanation, the citizens who hold power can be described as despotic, Christian Covell in his book on the law of nations in political thought noted that Kant indicated that international peace is dependent on the transformation of domestic policies. He further linked this proposal to just war theory especially in relation to jus ad bellum because Kant acknowledged that states need some sort of authorization to go to war. He stated that the form of constitution is presented as a decisive factor in determining if the lawful authority of states to wage war would ever be exercised (Covell, 2009). Still, Lars Erik Cederman in his article on modelling democratic peace as a Kantian selection process , noted that this proposal was flawed in the sense that the spread of norms that bring progress don t have to stop at democratic borders. According to Cederman, once the spread of progress begins, the rule of law creeps into interstate, or more precisely inter democratic, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Twentieth century U.S. history saw two major episodes of repression and violence against communists and leftist radicals, that occurred approximately three decades apart. During the early part of the 1920s, America entered its first period of extreme anti communist sentiment, the First Red Scare. After the successful Bolshevik Revolution in Russia in 1917, American citizens began to fear the threat of communist influence at home. At the end of WWI, American workers unhappy with wages and spiralling inflation, launched widespread sometimes violent strikes with the support of growing labor unions. Some of these unions called for government takeover of private industries. For instance, railroad workers called for the national government to take permanent control of the railroad system. The growing waves strikes signalled a period of extreme civil unrest; American citizens became frightened that they would face a revolution similar to the one that had just taken place in Russia. In response, Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer, in an effort to gain the attention of American voters to support his presidential aspirations, launched a nationwide crusade against anyone he identified as having leftist views. From the beginning of the Old Testament to the Shakespearean plays, such as Macbeth. The idea of fate is not unknown or underused in any way. In Cormac McCarthy s novel, No Country for Old Men, shows an extremely artful depiction of fate and its role in the lives of men. The book shows a journey of a money filled briefcase and the bloodshed that is left in its path. The barren and sterile southwest is known for its violent past and its Old Western style of living. And after that nothing is the same...you see the problem. To separate the act from the thing. As if parts of some moment in history might be interchangeable with the parts of some other moment. How could that be? Well, it s just a coin. Yes. That s true. Is it? (McCarthy 57). In this quote, Anton asks the man to choose which side of the coin will land facing upwards (to call it ) and because the man called it correctly, Anton let the man live and did not kill him. This small coin flip plays a such a large role in the idea of fate because it leaves Anton questioning if it was fate that caused the man to guess correctly, or if it was just pure luck and chance. Though not directly proving that fate causes the man to be left alive, it brings the overall idea to thought and then keeps the thought present for the remainder of the novel. One critic talking about the theme of fate in Cormac McCarthy s novels says, The killer s presumed insanity is the natural outcome of a deterministic philosophy prefigured in the dialogue between John Grady Cole and Duena Alfonsa in All the Pretty Horses, when they ponder the role of fate, chance, and choice through the metaphor of the coin toss. The same chaos theory that formed the intellectual basis for that conversation motivates the thoughts and actions of Anton Chigurh (Michael Hollister). In this analysis, of McCarthy s novels as a whole, the critic helps push the idea that Anton is a symbol of fate and evil when he describes the relation of his coin to McCarthy s other work, All the Pretty Horses. By means of the coin and the character of Anton, McCarthy is able to set fate in the mind of the reader and suggest its power when it comes to determining the outcome of a ... Now that I have shared a brief overview of the spinal cord and some statistics about spinal cord injuries, we will look at the past research that has led to the treatments most commonly used today. In 1990, a steroid called dexamethasone was discovered in human trials to preserve some motor and sensory function if administered at high doses within 8 hours of injury. Surgery used to remove fluid, tissue, or bone fragments, or to stabilize fractured vertebrae by fusing bones or inserting hardware has also proven to be one of the most thorough measures to prevent further harm. I received both of these treatments after my accident, and they are the same that have been used for the past decade. Until recently, doctors had no way of limiting such disabilities, aside from stabilizing the cord to prevent added destruction, treating infections, and prescribing rehabilitative therapy to maximize any remaining capabilities. Within the past few years, however, scientists have made many new advancements. The United States Food and Drug Administration has approved 2 electronic systems that regulate muscles by sending electrical signals through implanted wires, called functional electrical stimulation (FES). But when he s faced with a problem involving an elephant he will let the people of Burmese choose for him rather than choosing the right thing to do. Orwell who is a imperial police officer in Burma talks about his experience in being face to face with imperialism and colonialism. What the uniform means to the people of Burma is that they are bad people who all they want is power through brut force. The human condition is described as the characteristics, both negative and positive, events and situations that compose the aspects of a human being. One of the complexities of being human is finding true happiness. As people grow older, they begin to understand the real definition of being happy and contented. On the way to fulfil true happiness, one starts realizing what really matters and what doesn t. Christopher Marlowes The Passionate Shepherd to His Loveshows how the shepherd is trying to get his love to go with him by offering her tremendous gifts. He promises to give her gifts that would please her and to prove that he will do anything for her. On the other hand, Sir Walter Raleighs The Nymph s Reply to the Shepherd basically turns down the shepherd s offer and explains that material gifts just give off temporary happiness. Both Christopher Marlowe and Sir Walter Raleigh use figurative language to help readers understand the sad reality that all things in the world are temporary and true happiness does not come from gifts and tangible things but from our experiences. The Passionate Shepherd to His Love is one of Christopher Marlowe s pastoral poem. A pastoral poem deals with the idealistic rather than realistic viewpoint of the life of the country. • 27. Successful Open Marriages In Opening Up By Alfred Kinsey Open marriages are a form of relationship first brought into the public eye by Alfred Kinsey in the 1960s. Since then, the idea of approved extra martial affairs have become even more popular, despite the uneducated critics hollering about it being an insult to the institution of marriage, or a way to justify cheating on one s significant other. As open marriages start to become a more feasible option for couples looking to explore their sexuality, a common question always seems to come up; this inquiry, in fact, will be the purpose of the following text. To begin, I use examples from the 2004 biographical film Kinsey, directed by Bill Condon and produced by Gail Mutrux. While integrating discussion from Tristan Taormino and her book Opening Up: A Guide to Sustaining Open Relationships, I introduce the concept of sociosexuality with the help of Lars Penke s Sociosexual Orientation Inventory. In creating discussion with the above names, I aim to demonstrate just what does make for a successful open relationship. In the film Kinsey (Condon Mutrux, 2004), there is a clear divide between what constitutes a successful and unsuccessful open relationship. Alfred Kinsey and his wife Clara Macmillan both engage in extramarital affairs, yet remain close physically, emotionally, and sexually. Alternatively, Clyde Martin (whom, it is worth noting, at one time engaged in an affair with both Kinsey and his wife) starts a fight with another man, Paul Gebhard, after finding out Mrs. ... This statement leaves a question for modern day society. Does this verse mean God created the universe in six literal days and rest on the seventh? Or could it possibly mean this was a non literal text that leaves room for the possibility of evolution. Evolution and Creationismhave been battling over this issue for many years. What must be realized before examining these two theories is the fact that both require faith. Requiring faith means neither can be proven right completely. These two theories bring to light the literal and non literal reading of Genesis 1 and 2. Creationism believes in the literal interpretation of the text, and evolution, specifically theistic evolution, believes in non literal interpretation. The literal interpretation states God created everything in six days just as it states which leaves little wiggle room for the non literal interpretation. However, there is some scientific reasoning and fact that can reinforce their system of thinking. While a non literal theistic evolutionist approach is a plausible option of the account in Genesis one, the Creationist s literal interpretation outweighs the non literal because the analysis of the text agrees with the literal approach and the current scientific evidence, history, and authority of scripture point to a young earth. Using these features, Ghotit can pick up and correct not only poorly spelled words. This technology has a text to speech service so that a student can make sure that what they wrote is exactly what they intended to say. Ghotit is an advanced text editor personalized to the needs of people with dyslexia and dysgraphia. This technology incorporates a possible way that children with dyslexia and other learning disorders have less difficulty with writing. An advantage of Ghotit technology is the ability to predict anticipated words more precisely and even with no initial letters. The main disadvantage is the need of a training data set, which is typically larger for context completion than for simpler word completion. Ghotit is not a very complicated technology to implement into the classroom. A basic understanding of how to use the technology would need to be communicated to teacher and parents through something similar to an informational video explaining how the technology functions and operates. • 39. Evolution Of The Female Professional Statistics Evolution is something that has occurred since the beginning of time and as the decades go on, evolution continues to occur throughout various aspects of life. One of these prominent spectrums is the work place. While women have not always blossomed in the business world, the female professional statistics have begun and continued to increase as time has. Although there is more genderequality amongst several companies, the numbers aren t necessarily where they should be. According to an article by Warner, women make up 50.8% of the population, only 14.6% of those women hold executive positions in the workplace. Even less are top earners and less than 5% are Fortune 500CEO s. The numbers continue to drop for women of color as only 11.9% hold positions at the manager level (Warner, 2014). And according to the article by Kranc (2014), ...although women make up 19 percent of director positions within the S P 100, they represent only 8 percent of the highest paid executives (Kranc, 2014). These numbers provided by Warner are proof that there are still problems regarding the growth of women in the corporate world, especially when the women are of a minority background. Fortunately, as will be discussed in this assignment, this gender gap is beginning to close as women are standing their ground and fighting for the positions and pay that they deserve. • 40. Asteroid Theory In the early nineteen hundreds, dinosaur fossils were discovered and recognized around the globe. Scientists and paleontologists began contemplating how such densely populated creatures vanished. Currently, paleontologists debate the two main hypotheses of how the dinosaurs died from either the volcano activity or the asteroid impact. Both theories resulted in the same outcome yet differ in key elements such as, the physical evidence left behind encourages every conceivable clarification for the termination in charge of wiping out the dinosaurs. As a matter of fact the theory that has gained wide acceptance today is that an asteroid collided with Earth. A large meteor like ball striking the Earth ejecting enough debris and dust that it resulted sunlight blockage long enough to modify the atmospheres climate, executing a comparability of the nuclear winter. These events occurred in a sort of domino effect, plants were the first to die out, followed by the herbivores that ate them, and finally the carnivores that fed on the herbivores. • 41. Mental Health Counseling Analysis One of the most interesting aspects of developing a mind for the mental health field is being able to evaluate, understand, and cope with the obstacles of daily living in a healthier way. Growing up, I was told that I was a happy child that did well in school and got along with others. As I got older, I was told that I was a moody teen that slacked in schooland became distant from others. Starting collegeI was told that I was a miserable adult with no motivation for school and kept away from others. By the end of college, I was told that I was a bright young lady that would go far in life and was able to approach others. When I took a look back and broke down my life into smaller sections, I acquired the need to figure out what made my life the way it was then, and also how it changed to be what it is today. I learned that without evaluating the core of what was happening to me as a person, the people in my environment based my value on what they could only see on the surface. When that happened, I also began to base my value on the words that were told to me. I knew the life that I wanted for myself, but at the same time I did not know how to get there.... Although counseling and mental health is still beyond my full understanding, I believe I could start by helping others begin to see their value in life and guide them to understanding wellness. To me over all wellness is the foundation to counseling and the foundation to life. One example of wellness is the process of losing weight and becoming a healthier version of yourself. You cannot exercise, lose weight, and change your overall physical health if you do not take the time to change your mental state ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. The Pros And Cons Of Dystopias My topic is about dystopias. Dystopias are places that people think of that are bad. Some people think of utopias as a happy place where they can go and everything is perfect, but a dystopia is the very opposite. Usually a dystopia is a very bad place and things aren t perfect in anyway. Most people don t think of dystopias because some dystopias can be scary and some could be dangerous if you think about it. An example is when the book Harrison Bergeronhad the dancers wear these handicaps because people think that s the right thing to do but others think of that as a dystopia, because some people don t want to have to dance around with masks and weights on. In the book The House of The Scorpion the main place called Opium is definitely a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The dancer stood up to dance with Harrison when he took off all of his handicaps and made the dancer take off her mask and chains to dance. That s when the handicap general came through the door with a gun pointed at Harrison because he broke the law by taking off his handicaps. In some books there is a dystopia and some there is a utopia. It all depends on who s in the story and what setting the story is about. Some people like dystopias and some people like utopias it all depend on the character. When people imagine a dystopia they imagine a bad place where things aren t perfect or in order. Most dystopias have things everywhere and no one looks or acts the same. Dystopias are places where anything can happen and it will be okay no one has to follow the rules or stay in order either. A utopia usually means everything and everyone are perfect where everything is inline no one breaks any rules everyone is perfectly disciplined and again perfect. But when you have a dystopia nobody follows the rules and nobody is disciplined. In total a dystopia is a very bad place where no one is in order or follows any rules because that s not really normal for them. Normal in a dystopia would be things messed up and no one has ... Psychopathy or Antisocial Personality Disorder Valeria Frierson Walden University Dr. Hampe PSYCHOPATHY OR ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY DISORDER2. Abstract This paper will focus on the relevance of assessing psychopathy or antisocial personality disorder. The importance of the assessment and the adjudication process will also be discussed. Key words: psychopathy, antisocial personality disorder, violence recidivism. PSYCHOPATHY OR ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY DISORDER3. According to Pinel (1801) psychopathy is defined as persons with complete cognitive capacity but these persons experienced spontaneous and antisocial behavior. These persons suffered from mania without insanity. Pinel (1801) in his description was distinguishing those persons whose unlawful acts and depraved acts were due to mental deficiencies or psychopathology as opposed to those with no indication of any mental defects. Psychopathy has a strong connection to violent behavior and recidivism. Research indicates that persons with high levels of psychopathy are more likely to continue instrumental violent behavior when compared to those person s with lower levels of psychopathy Jackson, R. • 50. Function Of A Reflection On Social Media In this reflection I will be talking about social media and the ways that I personally use social media in order to analyze and have an understanding so that I can hopefully improve my social media competence. The types of social media outlets I have are: Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat. I don t really postanything on Reddit, Facebook, and Snapchat but on Instagram I try to not post photos with myself in it because I want my followers to see the world I see but the captions I put are usually not really relative to the photo and usually meme sounding. On Twitter I mostly retweet stuff that I think my friends would enjoy like articles or cool announcements and I make polls letting them decided what I should do or where to travel next. Not much thought goes into deciding what I post, I usually decide on the quality of the photo. If the quality of the photo is nice then usually the picture is just as nice. What I try to show my followers is the cool places that I go to or all the neat stuff that I do rather than everyday life like what I eat or how I look. I want to be seen the same way people see me in real life so that they re not taken back at the fact that I may be different to have they see me online.
