Rationale Essay
Crafting a Rationale Essay can be a challenging endeavor that demands a comprehensive
understanding of the subject matter and a keen ability to articulate thoughts coherently. The
difficulty lies not only in presenting a well-reasoned argument but also in constructing a
compelling narrative that justifies the chosen perspective or approach. The process involves
delving into the depths of your own rationale, extracting relevant information, and weaving it
seamlessly into a structured essay.
The initial hurdle often involves defining the scope and boundaries of your rationale, ensuring
that it aligns with the objectives of the essay. Identifying the key components of your argument
and developing a logical sequence to present them requires a meticulous thought process.
Moreover, the writer must strike a delicate balance between providing sufficient context and
avoiding unnecessary details that might dilute the focus.
Translating complex ideas into clear and concise language poses yet another challenge.
Expressing your thoughts with precision while maintaining a coherent flow demands a mastery
of language and an acute awareness of the audience. Clarity and coherence are paramount, and
the writer must navigate through the essay with a clear roadmap, ensuring that each paragraph
seamlessly connects to the next.
Furthermore, a Rationale Essay often involves critical analysis and evaluation of various
perspectives, requiring the writer to demonstrate a nuanced understanding of the subject. This
depth of insight necessitates thorough research and an ability to synthesize information
effectively.
In conclusion, the difficulty in writing a Rationale Essay lies in the intricate interplay between
logical reasoning, clear expression, and in-depth analysis. It's a task that demands not only
intellectual rigor but also effective communication skills. However, for those seeking assistance,
there are resources available. Similar essays and much more can be ordered onHelpWriting.net

Commencement Speech Sample
Commencement Speech Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.
Ryunosuke Satoro, Japanese Poet That quote resonates with me deeply when I
reflect on the great friendships, excellent teachers, parents and families all
galvanized in their commitment to our, the graduating classes , success. Thank
you parents, family members, teachers, administrators and fellow students this has
been a wonderful journey, all made possible because of your unwavering, unfailing
support. Our graduating class applauds each of you for sharing in our
accomplishments, making them possible. (You might want to stop and applaud
them encouraging your graduating class to do the same this will be very classy to
do and set the stage for a great speech). When the Japanese poet Ryunosuke Satoro
says Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean I think about our
families and our very large extended family our school. Individually we are drops in
the vast, very powerful and very beautiful ocean that resonates with life and teems
with opportunity. Like any ocean there has been rough weather, storms, turbulence
yet by being galvanized together as one family, we have reached our destination,
which is graduation day. We ve arrived. And like any significant accomplishment,
none of us could have done this alone. From the parents who made sure we arrived in
time for classes to our great faculty who have a passion not just for teaching, but
constantly learning too, thank you. Thanks
The Roles Of The Sutradhar And The Chorus
The Sutradhar and the Chorus are essential in a musical play as they add charm and
glory to the prosaic play with refrain and songs.
The Chorus is a group of people who comment on moral values and also fill in the
time span and action off the stage. It is similar to the role of Sutradhar. In European
literary plays both the narrator and the chorus are not unitedly used. They either have
a narrator or the chorus. But in Marathi drama originated from the Tamasha, the
Sutradhar and the Chorus can appear altogether. When both are used in unison,
mostly it serves the purpose of refrain only. It picks up and repeats the last few words
spoken by the main character. However the role of the Chorus is not limited to
repetition and commentary, but sometimes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

According to Dr. Jabbar Patel, it is different from the effect that Brecht, the German
playwright intended to create. According to Brecht Modem theatre is epic theatre , the
effect created by Tendulkar in Ghashiram is the exact opposite of Brecht s technique
and is much more effective for a larger audience.
In Marathi folk tradition the Sutradhar introduces the play and greets the audience
and then goes off the stage. But Ghashiram Kotwal, being a combination of
classical, folk, and modern form, the sutradhar stays on the play from beginning to
the end. Tendulkar s brilliant fusion of Bharata s Lokdharmi and Natyadharmi
makes this play one of a kind. It is one such play where the Sutradhar can comment
or even directly talk to the audience, or stand by silently as a spectator. The role of
the Sutradhar is played by Haridasa in the play. He is an actor and a commentator.
The Sutradhar comments on the incidents rhythmically. And it is followed with the
last rhyming words by the Brahmin line. The play is truly an innovative experiment
that offers a new direction to modern Indian Theatre due to Tendulkar s
Snapshot Examples
Reasons, why I have chosen this snapshot, is because I think this image contains
something that makes a lasting impression on me. It has a lot of good things I can
talk about this snapshot memory. Not just good memories but an image that will
not be able to get deleted from my mind. People who are in this image are my
family members. I say that out of all the other images I have this is one of the
favorite ones I can actually say I have a lasting impression. This snapshot image is
not really bright image picture because it was taken by the timewhen the sun was
already going down. I have an amazing time that day we had a lot of fun with each
other, family times are always great. Not so long ago on a weekend when my
family and I had recently gotten out of the church we got home and told each
other, what we were going to do today the entire day. No one came up with a good
idea besides staying home and watching movies, but I mean that is not anything
new we don t do or have not done at all. So I right away thought of any good places
to go to and I had remembered of places my friends had once told me about. I told
my parents and explained to them about the place. I told them that it was not a
really far place to go to but it was a place where we would have to walk a lot. At first,
my mother was not as convinced because of the walkingpart because she does not
really like walking a lot. Well, my dad was for sure already convinced. All we needed

Accounting Principles
In the U.S., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles are accounting rules used to
prepare, present, and report financial statements for a wide variety of entities,
including publicly traded and privately held companies, non profit organizations, and
governments. The term is usually confined to the United States; hence it is
commonly abbreviated as US GAAP or simply GAAP. However, in the theoretical
sense, Generally Accepted Accounting Principlesencompass the entire industry of
accounting, and not only the United States. Outside the academic context, GAAP
means US GAAP. The following are basic objectives of the GAAP: provide
information that is useful to present to potential investors, creditors, and other
individuals in making rational investment and credit, provide information about
economic resources, the claims to those resources, and the changes in them, assist in
making financial decisions, assist in making long term decisions, improve the
performance of the business, and maintain records. IFRS are used in many parts of
the world, including the European Union, India, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia,
Pakistan, GCC countries, Russia, South Africa, Singapore, and Turkey. As of August
2008, more than 113 countries around the world, including all of Europe, currently
require or permit IFRS reporting and 85 require IFRS reporting for all domestic,
listed companies according to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. It is
generally expected that IFRS adoption
Pearl Prynne Character Development
Nathaniel Hawthorne s Gothic Romance novel, The Scarlet Letter, encircles Boston
society during the Era of Puritanism. Hawthorne introduces Hester Prynne on the
town scaffold, wearing her stamp of shame the Scarlet Letter and squashes her infant
against her bosom in fear of her punishment for committing adultery. The infant, Pearl
Prynne, flourishes into a stubborn, wild child whose clever and inquisitive nature
exceeds any child her age. While Pearl is confined within a bubble of solitude, she is
left to wonder about the identity of her unknown father. Pearl is shunned by the
children in Boston, and she seeks comfort in the forest that is free from the corrupt
Puritan society. Although some may argue that Pearl s future prosperity is unaffected

Dimmesdale is never involved in Pearl s childhood for fear of ruining his dignity.
In the rare instance when Dimmesdale shows fondness towards Pearl in secrecy of
the forest, he bends forward and impressed [a kiss] on her brow. Hereupon, Pearl
broke from her mother, and... bathed her forehead, until the unwelcome kiss was
quite washed off, and diffused through a long lapse of the gliding water
(Hawthorne, 194). Pearl s response to the kiss exemplifies her inability to love;
this destruction is caused by Dimmesdale s incompetence to claim being Pearl s
father. As children who do not receive care from both parents are incapable of
blossoming, Pearl s maturation is halted from a lack of a father figure early on in her
childhood. Some may argue that Dimmesdale s neglect of Pearl both parents. In turn,
Hester and Pearl s mother daughter relationship is strengthened. This argument is
supported from Hester receiving letters from Pearl; this shows the strong long
distance relationship that Pearl and Hester maintain (293). Nevertheless, Pearl is left
with no father image. If Dimmesdale truly cared about the relationship with his
daughter, he would have fought to live instead of leaving Pearl, one again, abandoned

Analysis of Volume 1 Chapter 5 of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
This passage is set at a point in the story where Dr. Victor
Frankenstein is creating and making his first descriptions of the monster.
Frankenstein at this time has been driven to work more and more to complete his
aim, making him seem madly obsessed with his work. During this passage, the Dr.
and the monster are constantly described in the same ways,
how delineate the wretch : the monster
I passed the night wretchedly : Frankenstein
This could show how the monster is being conveyed as the Dr s doppelganger, of the
reflection of his subconscious. Frankenstein, later in the book thinks, when the
monster says I shall be with you on your wedding night , ... Show more content on

This section of Frankenstein shows us how Dr Frankenstein usurps the role of
women by creating life or giving life to an inanimate object.
It shows this with an abundance of natal diction and birthing imagery.
how delineate the wretch whom with such infinite pains and care I had endeavoured
to form
Here, Frankenstein is saying that, after all the time he has spent planning and creating
the creature, he finds it ugly and pitiful.
This links in to the myth that when all mothers give birth, they are at first
disappointed with their baby, because it is so ugly and wrinkled, which is not what
they expect.
I saw the dull eye of the creature open
This passage constantly shows the bathos of the commotion Victor
Frankenstein has made over the making of his creature, like in the quote, where he,
instead of saying how dazzling the eyes could have looked, defiles the monster and
says that its eyes were a dull yellow . The passage also juxtaposes light and dark, to
show how something that is intended to be so good and revolutionary can turn out
terrible, like the story in the Bible where Satan attempts to replace God.
Victor Frankenstein usurps the role of God, as well as that of women, by creating
life, making the creature his Adam . However,
Frankenstein sees the monster as a devil, and a thing such as Dante could not have
conceived.
This imagery of God and Adam is shown when Dr Frankenstein says, one hand was

Binary Search Tree Essay
For the main portion of the project, or implementing and performing operations on
both a binary search tree linked list structure, and a max heap linked list structure, the
main function of the program contains several do while loops, with calls to various
other functions, in order to provide a menu based interface, for user functionality.
Overall, the program implements numerous functions, including createBST,
createHeap, buildHeap, disPreOrder, disLevelOrder, searchBST, searchHeap,
insertBST, insertHeap, createHeapInsertionList, addHeapInsertionList, enQueue,
deQueue, and isEmpty. Regarding time complexity, the createBST function contains

While the dispPreOrder function, only executes once per call, recursively, the
dispPreOrder function is required to execute N times, where N represents the
number of nodes necessary for processing through the function. Therefore, the
dispPreOrder function contains an order of N, or O(N) in Big O notation.
Moreover, the dispLevelOrder function contains a single while loop, in order to
construct a queue of nodes, by level, in order to develop a traversal by each level
of the tree like structure. With a single while loop, and calls to the enQueue,
deQueue, and isEmpty functions, the dispLevelOrder function executes, or conducts
iterations a total of N times, where N represents the number of iterations through the
while loop. Therefore, the dispLevelOrder function contains an order of N, or O(N)
in Big O notation. The searchBST function is implemented as a recursive function,
searching through an already constructed a binary tree. In relation to a binary search
tree, the searchBST function executes only once per call, but executes log2N times,
as the searching work is partitioned. Therefore, the searchBST function contains an
order of log2N, or O(log2N) in Big O notation. As designed for the cases presented
within the program, the searchHeap function contains a single while loop, in order to
iterate through a queue of nodes, by level, in order to match a given, user entered key,

change within their own lives alike to the many changes Margaret brought about to
England. Irene is a character who in many ways tried bringing about changes I.e.
through many letters she writes in order to resolve problems that are not involving
her. At the beginning of the monologue Lady Of Letters Irene is portrayed as a
character that is a rather concerned, law abiding and sensitive middle aged citizen,
qualities which are frequently associated with a woman of her age. In telling us of
her visit to the crematorium no unusual deductions would be made as a lady of this
age would undoubtedly encounter a few deaths of friends of a similar age. It also
seems justified that she should be annoyed at these irreverent smokers at such a
sombre occasion. However as we learn of her little acquaintance with the deceased,
her character unfolds as rather remote and lonely as well as someone who leads a
rather uneventful life. I thought I d get out my little maroon coat and put in an

Cinder was in a hover accident and was required to be transformed into a cyborg.

Broad Construction Of The Constitution Essay
History is a major part of a country and its citizen s heritage. However, America s
heritage is a short yet confusing one with different events and opinions argued as its
true beginning as a sovereign nation. Although historians argue that the Spanish
settlement of St. Augustine in Florida marks the start of American History, the
written Constitution and development of a government more accurately reflects the
beginning because this shows the beginning of an organized, connected and strong
nation.
According to Albert P. Blaustein, It can easily be argued that America s most
important export has been the Constitution of the United States. (Blaustein). The
American Constitution is a building block to democracy and structure, studied by

Milanich, In 1565 Spain established the earliest permanent European settlement in
North America at San AugustГn (present day St. Augustine) on the Atlantic coast of
the Florida peninsula. When the Spaniards anchored in Florida, they did not mean to
colonize or begin a new nation separated from Europe, or even their native Spain.
Instead, they chose to claim the area of land that they had settled on, for Spain. The
Spanish did not consider themselves Americans but as Spaniards, claiming new land

Phantom Limbs Essay
Phantom Limbs
Phantom Limb Pain (PLP) is a serious condition that occurs when a person who has
lost a part of their body though amputation, trauma (brachial plexus), or loss of
nervous connections in an appendage, perceives that the limb is still there and
experiences sensations coming from this area. It was first described in 1866 by S.
Weir Mitchell, an American neurologist, through a short story published in Atlantic
Monthly. While Mitchell may then have wondered if this was specific to wounded
Civil War soldiers, it has since been established as quite common (1). Over 70% of
amputees report phantom limb pain for years after amputation (2). Several theories
have been proposed regarding PLP, although there is still much to be... Show more

Data indicated that PLP is related to, and may be a consequence of, plastic changes in
the primary somatosensory cortex, and that the shift of the cortical map following
amputation might be a potential neurophysiological basis of PLP (6).
Further studies in 1998 investigating the re mapping component in the brain were
conducted by researchers at the University of Toronto and The Toronto Hospital. The
study recruited amputees who experienced phantom pain for surgery to map the
sensory areas in the brain. During the mapping process, the conscious patients
reported sensations they felt when certain areas of the thalamus were stimulated.
Patients reported phantom sensations when areas of the thalamus were stimulated
that formally were innervated by neurons from the missing arm, and also when areas
on the stump were stimulated that activated these reorganized regions in the brain.
Neurons were shown to continue to carry out their original roles, but with different
sources of activation (7).
While persuasive, the aforementioned experimental conclusions are well critiqued by
Ronald Melzack who argues against looking to the somatosensory cortex or thalamus
as the only cause of phantom pain in his April 1992 Scientific American article. He
states: Such changes in the somatosensory thalamus or cortex could explain why
certain feelings arise in limbs that no longer exist or can no longer

wisdom and a hardworking nature. First, I think I am hard working because I

hard as possible, and I never go for minimum. In my picture, the spider is working
hard to make a web. Second, I think I am wise because I think hard about my
decisions before finalizing them to avoid making irrational decisions. I also
consider myself fairly intelligent, which is a major part of being wise. I showed this

Second, my collection is valuable. This is means it can be used in an emergency

were chosen because they are the most recognizable instruments. They were also the
instruments I first learned to play.

more apartments and people renting rather than owning their own homes to save

square mile so there are no apartments just houses (Housing pg. 41 42). There are a

one third of Mercer s housing units were constructed in 1939 or earlier. Compared

2.2 The role of the Government and Open Door Policy
Deng Xiaoping set in prepare the change of China s economy when he declared a new
Open Door Policy in December 1978. Mr. Deng understood that China required
Western technology, innovation and investment, therefore he opened the path for
outside organisations who needed to set up in China (News.bbc.co.uk, n.d.). At first,
four Special Economic Zones (SEZs) were farmed in South China with tax incentives
to draw in outside speculation into the nation.
As the nation is a developing economy, the government has to play a critical role to
guide and control the nation (Nove and Gerschenkron, 1963). For instance, the part
of government in enhancing general financial and social welfare ought not be
expelled or belittled, even in developed, mature economies (Reich, 1989).
Developing markets are countries that are investing in more productive capacity.
They are moving far from their conventional economies that have depended on
agribusiness and the export of raw materials. Leaders of developing countries want to
create a better quality of life for the citizens. Subsequently, they are rapidly
industrialising and embracing a free market or mixed economy (Amadeo, 2016).
Developing economies frequently seek to restructure their economies along market
oriented lines and offer a wealth of opportunities in trade, technology transfers, and
FDI (Heakal, 2015). Emerging markets are important because they drive growth in the

significance of the study they wanted to attempt. They based their study off of the

population, this occurs when an individual is less aggressive and attempts to support
it s relatives. As well it was found that individuals that are related to one another tend
to be closely associated. When looking at the Atlantic salmon it was discovered that

The main results found in this experiment can be summed up in the 4 figures
provided. Figure 1 looks at the time spent in each feeding area by the Atlantic
salmon. It shows that a large portion of time was spent in patch two (which was the
area in which most of the food was supplied). It also shows that there was a
significant difference in the interactions between related and unrelated fish (higher
for related species). Figure 2 analyzes the amount of food consumed by the larger
more dominant fish. It showed that the amount of food that was ingested varied
considerably by the dominance of each fish, this value also increased as the
experiment continued. It was also noted that the fish that were related seemed to
evenly distribute the food among them where as there was a more uneven
distribution between related and unrelated fish. As well Figure 2 looks at the way
the fish forage for their food. Figure 3a looks at time spent but the subordinate fish in
the more abundant feeding areas and their movements suggested that the presence of
the more dominant fish restricted them. Figure 3b looks at their movement and
foraging behaviours after the removal of the dominant fish. This lead to a significant
increase in the amount of food the smaller fish were consuming as well they were

The Damnation of a Canyon Essay
Strong Response: The Damnation of a Canyon In the reading The Damnation of a
Canyon, the author, Edward Abbey, described his outlook on the Glen Canyon
Dam and Lake Powell. Throughout his reading, he emphasized many positives the
Glen Canyon Dam once had. The text revealed Abbey believing the nature that
Glen Canyon used to contain and how people didn t appreciate it. He used his
perspectives of when he worked as a park ranger before all the changes happened.
He strongly believed in nature. He felt that he supported his argument with facts and
his personal opinions. If Abbey discussed his views to others, then maybe he could
ve understood the reason why other people enjoy the new reservoir. I feel that Abbey

He provided situations for people to acknowledge like the cost, adventure that
people could be experienced, and the trip that can be safe and easier than a
powerboat tour of the reservoir. I think he appeared to be trustworthy of his own
words because he gave us elements of nature. Agreeing with Abbey does have a lot
of appalling outlooks. There are people that will go against his argument since his
resources seem to only come from his personal experience. I will agree with Abbey
because every day people are killing nature like there is no tomorrow. People are
taking advantage of what nature gave us. Every where you turn, natural habitat are
being disturbed just for some lousy houses. Abbey is trying to convince people to
be on his side with nature. He described before the damnation that there were
springs, sometimes flowing streams, waterfalls and plunge pools. Abbey gave us an
illustration how the dam looked and it was filled with songbirds: vireos, warblers,
mockingbirds, and thrushes and larger mammals mule deer, coyote, bobcat, ring
tailed cat, gray fox, kit fox, skunk, badgersВ… He argued nature was killed during
the process of building the reservoir. This argument probably brought many people s
attention to agree or disagree with him. Abbey represented the environmentalists to
help grow the anti dam movement. If I had the chance to do the movement then I
will help and support it. He also argued people that doesn t appreciate
To The Lighthouse By Virginia Woolf
The study is designed to understand the different social issues related to different
characters in the novel To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf. It focuses on the
Victorian and Modern marriages and highlights how the female characters are
different from one another. Similarly, there are a lot of religious doubt, degrading
women, and an unclear vision in the novelby one of the characters. However, there
are deaths in the novel too. Similarly, it will focus on the two central women in the
story. Study wants to show that Virginia Woolf
created two very different characters
but with a very interesting and complex connection. The first one is Mrs. Ramsay, a
woman still belonging to the Victorian age, the second, Lily Briscoe, here called a
New woman . My intention is also to analyze the significance of Lily s painting and
how it symbolizes and represents her coming to terms with her homosexuality, and
simultaneously her feelings towards Mrs. Ramsay.
To the Lighthouse depends on passing of time; it expands or contracts the sense of

How Does Jane Change Throughout The Novel
After confronting her aunt, Jane is shipped off to Lowood School. This is a
school for young, dependent girls, who are mostly orphaned from at least one
parent. This school s name also has a meaning behind it, Lowood is a place where
Jane is miserable at a portion of a time therefore it symbolized a low period in her
life. Jane brings her mentality from Gateshead to Lowood and is not willing to be
conformed into society by following a set of rules that do not please her as well as
obey silently as she did before, but then she meets Helen Burn. Helen gives Jane a
new perspective on life and how to live life. Helen encourages Jane to act
graciously, even to those who do not deserve it, because acting any other way will
not make the situation any less worse. Jane takes Helen s advice of being the bigger
person later on in the plot when she speaks to her cousin, St. John Rivers. The
interaction between Jane and Helen serve as a stepping stone to Jane s maturity as a

conformity with its life for a while. But Jane no longer feels the need to seek

perpetual impression on Jane s character. Lowood is where Jane learns to be humble
instead of greedy. The burnt porridge and plain garments are something that Jane
never moves on from. Even after she leaves Lowood, she dresses in conservative
clothes and does not enjoy lavish and extravagant

Group Minds Lessing Analysis
Doris Lessing Group Minds explains that when we re in a group, we tend to think
as that group does: we may even have joined the group to find like minded people.
(Lessing 5) Lessing stresses that people who have experienced a few groups, often
observe their own behavior, they may agree that the hardest thing in life is to stand
out against a group of one s peers. (Lessing 9) Lessing s article shows how an
individualcan lose their sense of self and objectivity that are affected by group
pressures. Lessing describes how the human race is in possession of a great deal of
hard information about ourselves. (Lessing 7) Her point of my mind is my own,

reading the articles, each person captured the attention of their audience, with
validating arguments and examples on social and group pressures. In society
today, I see individuals all the time switch their way of thinking, body movements,
and who they socialize based on what the majority of their group declares. Reading
Group Minds, The Power of Situations, and Opinions and Social Pressure it forced
me to face a reality that wasn t realized until now. In high school, you don t realize
how much being accepted by your peers is important, a nonentity wants to feel
ostracized in any point of their lives. In your adolescence stages, individuals feel a
sense of belonging and not fathoming that shadowing what people do can essentially
be damaging to an individual. In Group Minds , Doris Lessing brings forth an issue
of children, teenagers, and adults on a global situation, that will not have a tendency
to drop. Based on many experiments of individuals that rather follow a leader than
have a neutral viewpoint on different personalities they may come in company

Sugary Food Tax
There has been a popular debate around the world on the topic of whether or not
sugary drinks should be taxed. In this article in particular, the officials and
policymakers realize the public health may be in danger because of the vast intake of
unhealthy food and drinks such as high calorie sugary drinks. The high intake of sugar
have lead to tooth decay, diabetes, heart disease and contributes to obesity which
can cause death. They recognize that the sugar levy on sugary drinks will bring
benefits to the society and discourage consumption of unhealthy good. In addition,
the raise in price of sugary drinks can benefit firms and is a chance for all
governments to respond to market failures in food. Countries such as Hungary,

Positive externality is the benefits that someone receives such as a college education
and negative externality include noises from a loud party. In this article, however, the
United Kingdom has announced their sugar tax in the form of a levy on sugary
drinks manufacturers. This policy is meant to correct the negative externality on
sugary drinks by shifting the behavior of consumers, reduce sugar consumption and
improving public health. Sugar could go hand in hand with alcohol and tobacco as a
part of the government s effort to combat health danger. Potentially, tax on
negative externalities is intended to make consumers and producers pay the full
social cost of the good. In result, this will create a more socially efficient outcome
and avoid overconsumption, and people will not ignore the external costs. In the
graph below, I have shown that the government have impose a tax on a good
(sugary drinks) and made the consumers pay the full social cost instead of just the
market price. In result, the demand will decrease due to the higher tax and achieve
a more socially efficient level of consumption while increasing revenues for the
government. The free market price is at Q1 and P1 and the social efficient level is
at Q2 (where social benefit cost = social marginal cost). The result of the tax having
an effect on the increase of price on sugary drinks in the UK will reduce the quantity

Rhetorical Analysis Of Frederick Douglass s The Great...
Born a slave in Maryland but managed to escape in 1838 was one of the most
influential African American leader, Frederick Douglass. A person who battled
assiduously for the abolishment of slavery. His speech The Meaning of July Fourth
for the Negro is only one of his many great efforts to putting an end to slavery. The
true subject matter of his speech is American slavery however in particular it
addressed the hypocrisy of American slavery. Douglass s main argument in regards
to his speech is followed by this rhetorical question Are the great principles of
political freedom and of natural justice, embodied in that Declaration of
Independence, extended to us? which sets up for the thesis This Fourth of July is
yours, not mine. Meaning that celebrating the fourth of July is all about
independence and freedom but it is ironic how America reinforces this however
following a system of trading slaves snatching away the black people s freedom
instead.
Frederick Douglass was born into slavery in the year of 1818, but he successfully
managed to escape becoming a leader of the abolitionist movement. Not only was
he an abolitionist but also an orator, writer, and statesman. Douglass was a strong
and passionate believer of equality amongst all people as he had famously said, I
would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong. He was also the
very first black citizen to hold a high government ranking in the U.S. Douglass was

Early Childhood Development Essay
Early Childhood Development
In this project, we were assigned to observe a preschool aged group and pick out
one child to observe. I did my observing at Corner Stone Christian Academy and
Preschool and observed a four year old name Kayla. She was a new student to that
particular class, so I decided to see how she would react to a new environment. I will
be discussing the motor skills, communication, and social interaction of Kayla. I will
also briefly discuss the topic of the education that was being taught at the school I
visited.
The motor skills of the student I observed were beyond my expectations. In the
morning, the students enjoyed a breakfast of waffles and maple syrup, applesauce,

The class was working on the letter U that day. I noticed some of them started the
letter from the right side instead of the left. The teacher was unable to notice that as
they were walking around.
Communication was another topic area that was focused on. Kayla did show signs
of good communication skills. I didn t get to witness them first hand, because she
was too shy to talk to me. She talked quite frequently to other classmates. There was
even confusion which she solved about her name. There was another student in the
class named McKayla, and one of her friends had gotten the two names mixed up.
She was calling McKayla, Kayla. Kayla was very polite in correcting her saying,
No, I m Kayla, she s McKayla. The other student didn t seem to understand, so Kayla
had to repeat herself many times.
The way that the children interacted with the adults was interesting as well. The
children were able to talk with them as if they were on the same level as the adults
were. They talked with them as if they were friends instead of teachers, which I
thought was very impressive. Usually, the students tend to only look up to the
teachers, not look equally to them. That makes it hard to get over seeing them that
way after they become adults. They sometimes tried to imitate the adults, by speaking
using voice tone. They haven t been able to master that skill yet, but they re trying to
use tone in there speaking.

Cultural Diversity in America Essay
America is greatly influenced and enhanced by the many versatile cultures which

have allowed English Americans to try new foods and flavors. Immigrants have
brought with them religious values that greatly differ and vary from those at which
were natural in the main stream American culture. The educational development

Foreign nationals bring with them the tastes and delights from their own country.
Presently, Americans have such a wide selection of foods to choose from including
but not limited to Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Greek, Thai, and Japanese. In the
agricultural industry, researchers have taken domestic plants and bred them with
international plants to create a more desirable embryonic plant which grows to

wouldn t have been deemed possible if it wasn t subject to the vast array of cultural
diversity to challenge the standard characteristics of domestic vegetations. Along
with any nation in the world, comes a variety of religions. The English founded this
nation on Christianity; however, numerous people today denounce this
monotheistic belief and instead have put their faith in beliefs brought to this
country by foreigners. This assorted variety allows believers to choose a religion
which better suits their beliefs and practices, and gives individuals a choice on
spiritual fulfillment in their lives. These religious beliefs combined with the
democratic state of the nation have led to public displays of religious celebration in
America. Ramadan, Yom Kippur, Kwanzaa, Christmas, Cinco de Mayo, and

It requires deceleration eccentric loads in both the lower and upper body muscles
and occurs in the transverse plan of motion. The serve is not finished when the server
makes contact with the ball. In order to get the full effect, highest velocity, and most
accurate placement, the follow through is not only necessary but critical.
Glenohumeral internal rotation and forearm pronation are two movements
performed in this phase. In a right handed server, the left shoulder angles down in
the deceleration phase, while the right shoulder comes up over the top, resulting in
inward and downward rotation. The serving arm is fully extended and continues

Agent Based Models ( Abm )
Agents Based Models (ABM) A model is a representation of a real system and
thus, it is an abstraction of the reality 4. The word modeling comes from the Latin
word modellus which describes a typical human way of coping with the reality
(Schichl, n.d.). Models can take various forms such as mathematical equation,
drawing, computer code, etc. However, there is a common purpose of all designed
models, which is to simplify the complexity presented in the real system or
problem. Therefore, models usually contain only the main aspects of the real system
(not all details). Macal and North (2006) believe that There is no universal
agreement on the precise definition of the term agent , although definitions tend to
agree on more points than they disagree . It seems very complicated to extract agent
characteristics from the literature in a consistent and constant perspective, because
they are utilised in different ways (Bonabeau 2002). Agent based modelling (ABM)
is able to simulate the individual activities by measuring their behaviour and results
over time for developing models of cities (Crooks 2006). Agent based modeling and
simulation (ABMS) is a new approach to modeling systems comprised of
autonomous, interacting agents. Agent based modeling is a new analytical method
for the social sciences, but one that is quickly becoming popular. ABMS promises to
have far reaching effects on the way that businesses use computers to support
decision making and researchers use

Introduction:
In this experiment, the purpose was to measure the acceleration due to gravity (g) by
dropping a plastic ball from several heights and recording the time intervals it took to
pass through two photogate sensors and the time it took for the ball to hit an impact
sensor at the bottom. The photogate sensors are the constant distance d apart, and
the impact sensor is distance D away from the lower sensor. Since the acceleration
due to gravity is a constant, the difference in heights from which the ball was
dropped should not affect the value of g. With the data from the sensors, the position
of the ball over time and velocity could be calculated, allowing me to calculate the
acceleration.
Equation 1 Derivation: d = distance between photogates
D = distance from lower photogate to impact sensor
T1 = time it takes ball to go between photogates
T2 = time it takes ball to go from lower photogate to impact sensor
In general, 〖velocity〗_avg (v)=(∆distance (d))/(∆time (t))
Between two photogates, v_(avg,d)= d/T_1
Between photogate and impact sensor, v_(avg,D)= D/T_2
Naturally, v_(avg,D) v_(avg,d)=D/T_2 d/T_1
In general, 〖acceleration〗_(avg ) (a)= ∆v/∆t, so a_(avg )= (v_(avg,D)
v_(avg,d))/〖∆tг

Diverse Paint Should Offer Merit Pay
Merit pay have the most impact greatest and positive impact on the behaviour of

employee turnover in this volatile economic scenario. If the employee notices that the
company is rewarding them, in spite of going through a tough financial phase or

Compare And Contrast Martin Luther Vs Machiavelli
Man of Politics and Man of Faith
When someone asks what should an individual do? , everyone is bound to have
different answers due to the nature of the question, because each answers would be
on the basis of his or her own philosophy and language he or she uses while
explaining. The philosophy makes a point and that synthesized with the language, one
makes a direction of his or her argument. To point out for the two men, Niccolo
Machiavelli starts with a philosophy that people are gullible and wicked (Chapter
XVIII), and Martin Luther starts with a philosophy that people can be born again

different answers and directions on the question, especially on how to deal with

using deceit strategically, when Luther preaches one to work for selflessness and
faithfulness to achieve inner greatness and concordance with neighbors when
interacting. First, Machiavelli and Luther differ in that former teaches that deceit is

The total amount of money I ended with $4,927.07, minus $750 = $4,177.07
The number of pages therefore that I am required to write to receive full credit for
the project: 8 pages
Page 1 and 2: Personal Experience This was the very first time I enter a stock market
game. Stock is a complex and complicated game, which require a great interest in it.
Because of this was my first time I know about stock, it is confusing, and there were
many questions in my head which i need the answers for understanding its concept.
Stock like a book, through spending time to play it, I ... Show more content on

Forth, do not buy cheap stock because it is constantly changing, not fixed, so the
player easy to lose. Last, choose the right time to sell, if not, the players probably
lose everything quickly. As I said, stock used to an unfamiliar definition, so I lack
of experiences. So the result at the end of the stock market game that I loose.
During the game was going, I had too much homework, so I did not spend much
time to study the stock s concepts as well as not pay much time to study the
market. Because I did not know how to play this game professionally, I only used
buy and sell , not cover or short sell . Another reason is I bought the stock that my
friend also bought as well as bought and sold in the wrong time. My biggest trade
that I was successful is at November 07, 2014. At 10:32 am, I sold 35 shares of
GDP and got $272,60. That was my first time I got the interest. The first reason I
think of is lucky and I choose the right time to sell them. The day before, when I
bought 40 shares of GDP, their prices were lower than the price at the day I sold
them. As the time I bought them, I did predict they would go up the next day. I
waited for the price I believed high enough to get the interest. Another biggest
unsuccessful trade was in December 5, 2014. I only bought 5 shares of the ANF, but
I lost so much money. ANF at that time seemed like never go up, it kept going down.
I have wrong prediction on ANF.
Why Do People Join Gangs Essay
Gang is a number of group members who commit crime and fight for their rights.
People like us who join or create a gang will end up being dead or survive from the
mistakes they made. The reason why people would join a gang because to feel more
powerful, show a message to the world and be protected with their gangmembers.
Being or with a gang is destruction to the world With these three reasons, I m going
to be talking about what gangsdo with these reasons I stated.
People join gangs to feel more powerful because without power, gang members will
feel useless and weak. Any gangs you join always need power because, it s no
point when you join a gang and have no power. Power is the key element why
gangs are so strong. Having power is like controlling certain areas and street. Not
only that they are also representing their hood name. For example is when you join
a gang name B dog and you see your enemy walking by and he looks at you.
Eventually after looking at him, he got scared. So it shows that B dog gang has
power. Power is to show off the world who you are. Once gang have power, the
world will turn so ugly that nobody like tourists, visitors would not come near the
country due to crime rate and gang issues. People stay ... Show more content on

It s really difficult to encourage someone to leave a gang because with all the
mistakes committed, it will come after you and try to kill you until you die. Life s
going to be miserably if you leave the gang. Most people are different because it
sometimes runs in the family or it s an addiction to cleans society and make it
peaceful, until they stop what they are doing. Just visualize when you leave a gang;
do you think the world is going to be peaceful?. Make smart decisions before joining
a gang because there is no way out, if you know there

  • 1. Rationale Essay Crafting a Rationale Essay can be a challenging endeavor that demands a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter and a keen ability to articulate thoughts coherently. The difficulty lies not only in presenting a well-reasoned argument but also in constructing a compelling narrative that justifies the chosen perspective or approach. The process involves delving into the depths of your own rationale, extracting relevant information, and weaving it seamlessly into a structured essay. The initial hurdle often involves defining the scope and boundaries of your rationale, ensuring that it aligns with the objectives of the essay. Identifying the key components of your argument and developing a logical sequence to present them requires a meticulous thought process. Moreover, the writer must strike a delicate balance between providing sufficient context and avoiding unnecessary details that might dilute the focus. Translating complex ideas into clear and concise language poses yet another challenge. Expressing your thoughts with precision while maintaining a coherent flow demands a mastery of language and an acute awareness of the audience. Clarity and coherence are paramount, and the writer must navigate through the essay with a clear roadmap, ensuring that each paragraph seamlessly connects to the next. Furthermore, a Rationale Essay often involves critical analysis and evaluation of various perspectives, requiring the writer to demonstrate a nuanced understanding of the subject. This depth of insight necessitates thorough research and an ability to synthesize information effectively. In conclusion, the difficulty in writing a Rationale Essay lies in the intricate interplay between logical reasoning, clear expression, and in-depth analysis. It's a task that demands not only intellectual rigor but also effective communication skills. However, for those seeking assistance, there are resources available. Our graduating class applauds each of you for sharing in our accomplishments, making them possible. (You might want to stop and applaud them encouraging your graduating class to do the same this will be very classy to do and set the stage for a great speech). When the Japanese poet Ryunosuke Satoro says Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean I think about our families and our very large extended family our school. Individually we are drops in the vast, very powerful and very beautiful ocean that resonates with life and teems with opportunity. Like any ocean there has been rough weather, storms, turbulence yet by being galvanized together as one family, we have reached our destination, which is graduation day. We ve arrived. And like any significant accomplishment, none of us could have done this alone. From the parents who made sure we arrived in time for classes to our great faculty who have a passion not just for teaching, but constantly learning too, thank you. Thanks
  • 3. The Roles Of The Sutradhar And The Chorus The Sutradhar and the Chorus are essential in a musical play as they add charm and glory to the prosaic play with refrain and songs. The Chorus is a group of people who comment on moral values and also fill in the time span and action off the stage. It is similar to the role of Sutradhar. In European literary plays both the narrator and the chorus are not unitedly used. They either have a narrator or the chorus. But in Marathi drama originated from the Tamasha, the Sutradhar and the Chorus can appear altogether. When both are used in unison, mostly it serves the purpose of refrain only. It picks up and repeats the last few words spoken by the main character. However the role of the Chorus is not limited to repetition and commentary, but sometimes ... According to Brecht Modem theatre is epic theatre , the effect created by Tendulkar in Ghashiram is the exact opposite of Brecht s technique and is much more effective for a larger audience. In Marathi folk tradition the Sutradhar introduces the play and greets the audience and then goes off the stage. But Ghashiram Kotwal, being a combination of classical, folk, and modern form, the sutradhar stays on the play from beginning to the end. The play is truly an innovative experiment that offers a new direction to modern Indian Theatre due to Tendulkar s

Phantom Limbs Essay Phantom Limbs Phantom Limb Pain (PLP) is a serious condition that occurs when a person who has lost a part of their body though amputation, trauma (brachial plexus), or loss of nervous connections in an appendage, perceives that the limb is still there and experiences sensations coming from this area. It was first described in 1866 by S. Weir Mitchell, an American neurologist, through a short story published in Atlantic Monthly. While Mitchell may then have wondered if this was specific to wounded Civil War soldiers, it has since been established as quite common (1). Over 70% of amputees report phantom limb pain for years after amputation (2). Several theories have been proposed regarding PLP, although there is still much to be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Data indicated that PLP is related to, and may be a consequence of, plastic changes in the primary somatosensory cortex, and that the shift of the cortical map following amputation might be a potential neurophysiological basis of PLP (6). Further studies in 1998 investigating the re mapping component in the brain were conducted by researchers at the University of Toronto and The Toronto Hospital. The study recruited amputees who experienced phantom pain for surgery to map the sensory areas in the brain. During the mapping process, the conscious patients reported sensations they felt when certain areas of the thalamus were stimulated. Patients reported phantom sensations when areas of the thalamus were stimulated that formally were innervated by neurons from the missing arm, and also when areas on the stump were stimulated that activated these reorganized regions in the brain. Neurons were shown to continue to carry out their original roles, but with different sources of activation (7). While persuasive, the aforementioned experimental conclusions are well critiqued by Ronald Melzack who argues against looking to the somatosensory cortex or thalamus as the only cause of phantom pain in his April 1992 Scientific American article. He states: Such changes in the somatosensory thalamus or cortex could explain why certain feelings arise in limbs that no longer exist or can no longer

He described before the damnation that there were springs, sometimes flowing streams, waterfalls and plunge pools. Abbey gave us an illustration how the dam looked and it was filled with songbirds: vireos, warblers, mockingbirds, and thrushes and larger mammals mule deer, coyote, bobcat, ring tailed cat, gray fox, kit fox, skunk, badgersВ… He argued nature was killed during the process of building the reservoir. This argument probably brought many people s attention to agree or disagree with him. Abbey represented the environmentalists to help grow the anti dam movement. If I had the chance to do the movement then I will help and support it. He also argued people that doesn t appreciate
  • 23. To The Lighthouse By Virginia Woolf The study is designed to understand the different social issues related to different characters in the novel To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf. It focuses on the Victorian and Modern marriages and highlights how the female characters are different from one another. Similarly, there are a lot of religious doubt, degrading women, and an unclear vision in the novelby one of the characters. However, there are deaths in the novel too. Similarly, it will focus on the two central women in the story. Study wants to show that Virginia Woolf created two very different characters but with a very interesting and complex connection. The first one is Mrs. Ramsay, a woman still belonging to the Victorian age, the second, Lily Briscoe, here called a New woman . My intention is also to analyze the significance of Lily s painting and how it symbolizes and represents her coming to terms with her homosexuality, and simultaneously her feelings towards Mrs. Ramsay. To the Lighthouse depends on passing of time; it expands or contracts the sense of time very freely It is a book, with an ironical or wistful query and questions of life and reality. The high intake of sugar have lead to tooth decay, diabetes, heart disease and contributes to obesity which can cause death. In this article, however, the United Kingdom has announced their sugar tax in the form of a levy on sugary drinks manufacturers. This policy is meant to correct the negative externality on sugary drinks by shifting the behavior of consumers, reduce sugar consumption and improving public health. Sugar could go hand in hand with alcohol and tobacco as a part of the government s effort to combat health danger. Potentially, tax on negative externalities is intended to make consumers and producers pay the full social cost of the good. In result, this will create a more socially efficient outcome and avoid overconsumption, and people will not ignore the external costs. In the graph below, I have shown that the government have impose a tax on a good (sugary drinks) and made the consumers pay the full social cost instead of just the market price. In result, the demand will decrease due to the higher tax and achieve a more socially efficient level of consumption while increasing revenues for the government. The free market price is at Q1 and P1 and the social efficient level is at Q2 (where social benefit cost = social marginal cost). The result of the tax having an effect on the increase of price on sugary drinks in the UK will reduce the quantity to

  • 35. Agent Based Models ( Abm ) Agents Based Models (ABM) A model is a representation of a real system and thus, it is an abstraction of the reality 4. The word modeling comes from the Latin word modellus which describes a typical human way of coping with the reality (Schichl, n.d.). Models can take various forms such as mathematical equation, drawing, computer code, etc. However, there is a common purpose of all designed models, which is to simplify the complexity presented in the real system or problem. Therefore, models usually contain only the main aspects of the real system (not all details). Macal and North (2006) believe that There is no universal agreement on the precise definition of the term agent , although definitions tend to agree on more points than they disagree . It seems very complicated to extract agent characteristics from the literature in a consistent and constant perspective, because they are utilised in different ways (Bonabeau 2002). Agent based modelling (ABM) is able to simulate the individual activities by measuring their behaviour and results over time for developing models of cities (Crooks 2006). Agent based modeling and simulation (ABMS) is a new approach to modeling systems comprised of autonomous, interacting agents. Agent based modeling is a new analytical method for the social sciences, but one that is quickly becoming popular. The photogate sensors are the constant distance d apart, and the impact sensor is distance D away from the lower sensor. Since the acceleration due to gravity is a constant, the difference in heights from which the ball was dropped should not affect the value of g. With the data from the sensors, the position of the ball over time and velocity could be calculated, allowing me to calculate the acceleration. Equation 1 Derivation: d = distance between photogates D = distance from lower photogate to impact sensor T1 = time it takes ball to go between photogates T2 = time it takes ball to go from lower photogate to impact sensor In general, гЂ–velocityгЂ—_avg (v)=(∆distance (d))/(∆time (t)) Between two photogates, v_(avg,d)= d/T_1 Between photogate and impact sensor, v_(avg,D)= D/T_2 Naturally, v_(avg,D) v_(avg,d)=D/T_2 d/T_1 In general, гЂ–accelerationгЂ—_(avg ) (a)= ∆v/∆t, so a_(avg )= (v_(avg,D) v_(avg,d))/〖∆tг Ђ—_avg 〖∆tг Ђ—_total=T_1+T_2 〖∆tг Ђ—_avg=(T_1+T_2)/2 Substitution yields:
