Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) remains a major financial burden to our healthcare
system. In 2015, the Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services started imposing a financial penalty for
hospitals with excess rates of COPD readmissions. We investigated the effectiveness of a Discharge
Checklist in reducing the rates of 30 day readmission in a cohort of high risk patients admitted with
COPD exacerbation.
METHODS
We conducted a 12 month randomized prospective case control study on patients diagnosed with acute
COPD exacerbation from December 2016 to November 2017. The case cohort was administered a
Discharge Checklist at the time of hospital discharge while the patients in the control group underwent
usual discharge care. The Discharge Checklist included identification of factors such as non
compliance, inappropriate oxygen use, inappropriate inhaler technique and lack of follow up. In
addition, we measured the Peak Inspiratory Flow (PIF) and adjusted the home inhalers based on the

This paper is mainly about the origin and discoveries of electricity and magnetism. It is solely a
summary of two natural phenomenon which have changed everything about our way of life and has
ushered us into a remarkable new age.
First and foremost, it is about the fundamental idea of how electricity and magnetism came about,
then, the development and discoveries of sources of electricity and magnetism by many inventors and
the latter discoveries of mega production.
When I was a little boy, I used to wonder what causes lightning and thunder. When rain comes, I
sometimes see intermittent lightning for a while before you can hear the sound of a spark which is like
two short circuited power cables.
At school, we all learnt about matter, which consists of atoms and molecules and every atom has a
nucleus and electron(s), inside the nucleus contains an equal number of protons and neutrons. The
electrons revolve round the nucleus of the atom in order to keep it stable. Protons are positively
charged particles, neutrons are neutral and electrons are negative charge particles. The nucleus is
surrounded by shells; these are simply orbitals in which an electron(s) can be found. The number of
orbitals depends on how many electrons the atom has. The electrons which are in the outer most
orbitals have a tendency of being lost or shared by another atom in order to create a more stable
configuration.

The Battle of Yorktown is known as the battle that separated the United States from Great Brittan. The
purpose of this paper is that I will discuss the events that led up to the battle, the battle itself, the
outcome, and a specific event that, if changed, might have changed the outcome of the war. There are
multiple events that may have changed the outcome; within this paper I will discuss one, and that will
be, what if George Washington s diversionary orders didn t deceive the British. On September 28,
1781 General George Washington started his siege on Yorktown, where the British General Lord
Charles Cornwallis garrisoned his 9,000 troops. Those actions are just the final steps that won the
battle and solidified the United States as an independent nation. The real beginning of the Battle of
Yorktown started in August of 1781 when the French army led by French Commander, the Comte de
Rochambeau, convinced General Washington to attack Yorktown instead of New York. The Comte de
Rochambeau Stated to General Washington, that if he was to attack New York that they would suffer a
great deal of casualties due to the British s well fortification of the area and that the attack wouldn t
succeed. General Washington was convinced by his ally s concern, so on August 19, 1781 the French
and United States Continental Army Began their march to Yorktown in order to crush Lord Charles

It is argued that the human species are a class of animal. However, the distinctive characteristic that
makes us unique, which makes humans different from all other species, is our ability to use complex
language. Language is thought of as multi sensory, containing not only the verbal and writing, but also
touch, smell, sound, and body elements. As humans are very social beings, people have the natural
instinct to connect and communicate with others, to share our emotions and ideas, and as a result,
learning a language becomes an instinct for each individual. Language is the device used for
