The language of the Deaf is usually consistent with the environment the language is
being spoken in. For example, the signs that one can encounter in British Sign
Language can be different than signs that are seen in American Sign Language.
Although Sign Language itself is very universal, the specific patterns and methods of
speaking that are associated with each kind of Deaf Community can be drastically
different.
Sacks himself was not deaf, but it was an exciting experience for him to dive into a
community he was not familiar with. The second part of the book, Sacks goes into

community. This theory states that there is a critical age at which people should
learn a language, or they will forever be unable to express themselves with little to

There are other ways to test for high alcohol levels, but a breathalyzer is a more

Black single mothers have overall negative stereotypes linked to them, their children,
and their financial situation. Single black mothers are getting labeled as Gold
diggers, lazy, con artist, non supportive, emotionally unstable, and uneducated. To
make their reputation even worse most of the songs in the Hip Hop community
make hypocritical songs that generalize all single black mothers based on their
particular experience. Hip Hop narratives such as Faith by Kendrick lamar and Baby
Mama by Fantaisa, challenges the race stereotypes about co parenting. Not all Hip
Hop songs reinforce the negative stereotypes about single black mothers. Songs like
Faith by Kendrick Lamar is a great song that represents the struggle single mothers go
through.

doing everything she can to not fall victim to the negative stereotypes. The second

Negative Effects Of Plastic Water Bottles
For as long as I can remember, my family has always purchased plastic water bottles
and until recently, I have taken a new stance on them. As a student at Texas Tech
University, one of my spring classes this past semester opened my eyes to the
negative aspects of plastic water bottles. Within the class, I watched the documentary
Tapped by Jason Lindsey and Stephanie Soechtig, which focused specifically on the
bottled waterindustry. Even though plastic water bottles are highly popular in first
and developing countries, recent evidence shows drastic consequences in both
environmental and health related topics.
Today plastic water bottles are putting a strain on the environment and highlighting
their wasteful properties. A study by Brita, a water filtration company, shows that
Americans discard 38 billion plastic water bottles a year, and it takes 1.5 billion
barrels of oil to produce them (York 2). The amount of oil that is being used to
produce the plastic of bottled water can be used elsewhere like gasoline for cars and

is virtually free, there are a number of people who do not complete for one reason
or another. Compulsory education laws require children to attend a public or state

Food security exists when everyone in the population has access to enough nutritious
food to live an active and health life. In Chad there is no food security, because not
everyone has enough food to eat. In fact, according to World Food Program 25
34.9% of Chad is undernourished.
Chad is Africa s 5th largest nation, known for its sacred Chad Lake. It has seven
neighbouring countries whom are Sudan, Niger, Libya, Central African Republic,
Cameroon, Nigeria and Darfur. Altogether they are all resided in North East Africa.
Currently, Chad has 14 million populations and 14.28 deaths occur in every 1000
people. Sadly, Chad has the 6th highest death rate in the world. The life expectancy
for females is only 52.7 years and the male life expectancy is 50.8 years. In
comparison to Germany, Chad s longevity statistics has a tremendous differ in the life
expectancy, incomes and health care by at least 48%.
At the moment, Chad s citizens have a low income, a loss of education and an

It seems that CSSA was able to fulfill the very basic philosophy of social security

Many readers of The Song of Roland find that the hatred and belittling of Roland
