Critical Review Of Tourism Literature Review
Critical Review of manuscript
This article brings to our knowledge and explains about the overall impact of tourism by taking the
four species of macropodids (Onychogalea faenata, Macropus rufogriseus, Wallabia bicolor and
Macropus giganteus) in a sanctuary as their study samples. A few negative impacts were observed on
different methods of approach and study and so it is concluded that, tours in vehicles would be better
to minimize those impacts rather than on foot. The study of this article proves to be worth reporting as
it exposes and creates the awareness in general about the negative impacts on different species due to
increasing human population and their approach towards them.
The title explains the study of this article and its findings but does not seem to be appropriate. The title
would look better if it was made precise and had apt words that best suited the article describing its
result.
The abstract gives an overall idea and the main aim of this article but has no background information
or reasoning. The study sample species names are mentioned but it lacks the methodology of their
study. It expresses a solution for the problem of the study but not a specific clear cut quantitative or
qualitative result. The content is too concise but still it conveys a message.
The introduction had the suitable information to the study and also it did introduce the topic. The aim
was explained in well organized manner but the hypothesis of the article was not clear.

Yellowtone Extremophies
Yellowstone National Park is a truly unique place. Few places in the world contain such amazing
biodiversity, and such a wide variety of species in such a condensed area. While many scientists have
been interested in studying the various plants and animals that inhabit Yellowstone, a group of
microorganisms that has been of special interest in the past few years are Yellowstone s extremophiles
the microorganisms that inhabit Yellowstone s thermal springs. Extremophiles have opened the eyes of
science to the possibilities of life in extreme conditions, helping us to understand how they adapt to
such seemingly inhospitable environments. They have also helped us to make several important
advances in the fields of medicine and biotechnology. Before the discovery of extremophiles in
Yellowstone, it was widely believed that life simply could not survive at extremely high temperatures,
as extremely high temperatures quickly denature proteins in cells. Although most organisms are
unable to survive in such extreme climates, the microorganisms that inhabit Yellowstone s thermal
vents are able to thrive in them. Before the discovery of many microorganisms in thermal areas, it was
believed that the hottest temperature at which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

which more easily adapt to extreme temperatures than eukaryotes. They use salts such as potassium

to protect the proteins in their DNA from being degraded in high temperatures. One adaptation that
thermophilic archaea have that helps them to survive high temperatures is ether bonds in their cell

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Citizenship...
It is said that a Malaysian born citizen s citizenship cannot be revoked by the state government.
According to Lawyer and constitutional law activist Syahredzan Johan, there are two categories of
citizens in Malaysia. The first, are those who were born in Malaysia after the year 1963 and the latter
being known as naturalized citizens. The first categories of people are those who were born in
Malaysia, like the most of us and there is no formal procedure required to apply for a Malaysian
citizenship. In the case of one of the child s parents are not citizens of Malaysia, but is born in
Malaysia, the offspring is still considered to be a Malaysian citizen. But on the other hand, if the child
has one Malaysian parent, but is born in a foreign country, he or she is not a citizen of Malaysia but
may later become a permanent resident of Malaysia and later apply for citizenship. People often get
confused with the JPN (Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara) which is also known as the National Registration

Malik has also stated that the constitution guarantees the freedom of expression. The public has the
freedom to voice out their opinions on what they want to subject to the laws of this country.
Syahredzan on the other hand, also agrees with Malik s statement and has added on that a defamation
suit can be filed because the call to revoke one s citizenship certainly implies negativity and suggests
that he or she does not deserve to be a Malaysian. He has further added that the issue of citizenship is
a very serious one. Any amendment that is to be made to the constitution requires a two thirds
majority in Parliament, but an amendment to the Part III has an additional safeguard. The consent of
the Conference of Rulers is also required as provided under Article 159 (5). Syahredzan concluded
that this further shows how serious the constitution views the issue of

asserted his claim to be, ...the legitimate king, the king of the world, the king of Assyria... (The
Banquet of Ashurnasirpal II, p.1) which would have been an indication of how Assyrians ruled their
empire. Emperor Ashurnasirpal, according to the document, indicates how he displayed his power,
wealth, and benevolence through the usage of ornate halls and temples, technological innovations,
international and domestic diplomacy. The halls and diplomacy are among the first things which can
be speculated based on the Emperor s description. In the second paragraph it becomes clear that
though he wanted to continue to be an unchallenged ruler and show his power via architecture, he also
wanted to help strengthen diplomatic relations . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Hour Of Reckoning Analysis
The Hour of Reckoning
In the chapter The Hour of Reckoning from Let the Trumpet Sound: The Life of Martin Luther King,
Jr., author Stephen B. Oates goes into great detail on King s view of the Vietnam War that occurred in
1967, which led into his probable presidency. On the evening of April 04, 1967, Martin Luther King,
Jr. delivered a speech to a crowd of 3,000 at Riverside Church in New York that spoke against the war
in Vietnam. He called the war immoral and felt as if he couldn t continue to remain silent because as a
believer of non violence, he couldn t undertake equal rights and peace amongst humanity, when the
government thought violence was the answer in Vietnam. Due to King being anti war, his relationship
with the president at the time, Lyndon Johnson had ended. After his speech it caused uproar in the
United States and Martin Luther King, Jr. then became known as the most hated man in the nation,
regardless of his nonviolence approach. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

graduate student stopped him in his path and pleaded that he was the most important man and
politically, he was the most meaningful that could possibly bring change to the people. Although he
saw there was no ending of war in sight and his want to defeat President Johnson in the election, he

Essay On Welfare Drug Testing
Drug Testing Welfare Recipients Why do people that are working have to pass a drug test while those
on welfare do not? This is the question that is causing a lot of debate across the country and
throughout congress. Many working class Americans are outraged at the current welfare policies and
believe something needs to change. There are always going to be people on government assistance
who are abusing the system and who are using drugs while not working. Something needs to change
so we can actually help families who need assistance, not those who are abusing drugs and the system.
Therefor, I believe that states should require drug testing of all individuals on welfare since those who
are supporting them have to pass a drug test. Drug testing welfare recipients has been an idea since
1996 when congress changed the welfare system and allowed for the possibility to drug test applicants
for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. There are several benefits to being
able to drug test ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One major argument is that it wont affect the parents receiving welfare, but instead the children.
Approximately 81.5 percent of those receiving (TANF) have children. With that many having
children, they are bound to see the biggest impact of drug testing since the money is supposed to pay
for food, clothing, and shelter. Some say that it will cause children to struggle and possibly go hungry.
Another reason that some people are against drug testing welfare recipients is that it will cost more
than it saves. Such as in Florida where drug testing actually cost the state money. Each drug test cost
around thirty dollars and with so many applicants it ended up costing the state forty five thousand
dollars (Greenblatt). This is a lot of money that could have went back into the program. These are two
of the several reasons that some are against the testing of welfare

Foster care is responsible for providing to the needs of children who don t have homes. And who is
responsible for funding these expenses? CNN wrote an article on the average cost of raising a child for
18 years, High income families who live in the urban Northeast, for example, are projected to spend
nearly $455,000 to raise their child to the age of 18, while low income rural families will spend much
less, an estimated $145,500, according to the report (Hicken). Lets go with the lowest number,
$145,000, and divide that by 18 years; roughly $8,000 is spent to care for a child per year in a low
income household. Now lets take a look at how many children are in the foster care system in the
United States. On average, 402,000 children are in the foster care, and in 2013, over 23,000 aged out
of the system ( Children s Rights 1). If we were to do the math, over 3 billion dollars would be spent
on fostering children, per year! By simply allowing same sex couples to adopt, we could save the
government money that could be put to use of other important things, such as improving city parks or
assisting other families who struggle financially. Or better yet, we could be spending money towards
getting help for the kids who have been in foster care and have developed mental health

Jules Breton s The Song Of The Lark
The artist Jules Breton drew The Song of the Lark in 1884. He painted oil on canvas.
The song of the Lark, there is a woman who stands on the field with holding hoe, and she stands up
with bare foot and watching the sky with an expressionless face. She wears white T shirt, brown dress,
and blue apron covered her stomach. The background view of his painting on mid night with the sun
goes down. Basically, Breton uses the light and value, the color, and the depiction of the female figure
in The Song of the Lark. Since he used of the oil paint, it provides many various moods, and

Trinity Essay
When you think of God do you think of one divine entity or do you take into account the age old idea
of the Trinity? For all of time we have understood the three individual person s in God, the Trinity, to
be one in the same. The teaching of the Christian church tells us that God is three unique and separate
people s, but they are at the same time all one person in God. Now people have many different ways to
picture or represent the idea of three people as one. The trial of history has come up with many
different ideas and images to try and represent the Trinity. Like many things that have to do with the
unknown nature of religion we put our mental limitations on our ideas. This is only natural because it
is the only way we can comprehend ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally the three coins are used because the coins are all cast from the same pot of substance to make
them. This can be cut down even further to say it has to be three coins made out of the same coin.
These are all different ways to try and explain an idea of what the Trinity is representative of. So to
start explaining the meaning of the Trinity we believe in God the Father Almighty. God begot his son
Jesus and sent forth the Holy Spirit, This is saying that these other two people came directly from the
being of God. This makes them directly a part of God. They are all of the same person however and
have their own individual identities. Many may get confused when they look at the Christian religion
and see that we believe in one God yet there are three distinct people. The Creator, the Savior, and the
Teacher are the distinct person s one would see yet the Trinity is how we understand them all to be one
God. So the meaning of the Trinity is to strengthen our belief in one God by explaining how he is
three person s in one. Next we must understand what the function of the Trinity is. The best way to
explain the function of the Trinity is to use the analogy of the chain. The Trinity work together and are
linked directly to one another to make one strong bond and to complete different tasks. First off God is
the all powerful creator. He made all that exists in the universe. He is the watcher of everything that

Antithetical Approach To Marriage In The Duchess Of Malfi
Webster has depicted an antithetical approach to marriage within his Senecan play, The Duchess of
Malfi. The play was written in the Jacobean era which, at the time, was a patriarchal society and so by
creating a dominant female protagonist, who did just about whatever she pleased Webster has
managed to incorporate a semantic field of death and pain to fit alongside his juxtapositions of a
typical Jacobean marriage.
To begin, Webster uses the idea of marriage being equal to ownership and power over another. As a
widow the Duchess has the potential to wield power independently of a husband and sever her
allegiances to other male kin, for instance her misogynistic brothers. The first way she exerts this
power is through her declarative marriage proposal to Antonio a young widow// That claims you for
her husband . Through the use of the transitive verb claims Webster has made the Duchess seem
strong and dominant, asserting her power of high blood over the steward Antonio. This power scares
Antonio, understandably so, as his role in a marriage would usually be the dominating one and
typically the husband owned the wife, specifically through the law of feme covert , so far, we see that
the Duchess tries to draw Antonio up to her level of status thus aligning with feme covert (her legal
identity is being subsumed by him). However, Antonio does fear this You do tremble: Make not your
heart so dead a piece of flesh and is therefore intimidated by the assertive Duchess.

Erectile Dysfunction History
History of ED Treatment Erectile dysfunction is one of the most serious diseases all the time. But
today, this disease has taken menacing proportions. The first mention of impotence In literature,
Thomas Hokkliva dated 1420 year first mentioned the word impotence in a poem. However, this term
had a slightly different meaning it can easily be replaced by the words powerless and helpless . In its
usual sense, the word is found in the book History of the Church in Britain dated 1655 year. There, the
Pope virility of the Pope was called into doubt. It is difficult to believe but one of the first mentions of
the word impotence was recorded in the Bible, where it had a clear reference to the sexual weakness
of King David. The theme of sexual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Such sentiments prevailed in the minds until the 19th century. In Russia, folk methods of treating
impotence were popular. One of the recipes advised men to smear the man parts with a mixture of deer
fat and chopped chicken hearts. In the late 19th century, scientific approach to the problem of sexual
disorders appeared. American William Hammond, in 1883, wrote his Sexual impotence in the male
and called early sex and masturbation the main reasons for ED. The scientist suggested the young men
to refuse sex life up to 21 years, and limit the number of sexual acts to three a month. As the ED
treatment, William Hammond suggested the abstention for a year. At the same time, moxibustion
therapy with nettles and electrical stimulation were developed. In the 20th century, the struggle against
male impotence became more efficient. Masturbation was justified, and doctors divided the causes of
ED into psychological and physical. An enormous role was given to the background diseases that
provoke impotence. The medicine made a huge step forward. There was a set of effective methods of
treatment, which gave positive results in 95 % of cases, and the men returned to the joy of sexual life.
For the treatment of psychological ED, hypnosis was actively used in 60s. Since 1982, doctors
prescribed a special injection into the penis. Since 1985, vasodilators came to the rescue. At the
beginning of the century, men got grafts in the

Nursing Philosophy And The Metaparadigm
According to Allison Marchuk, nursing philosophy is a statement of fundamental and universal
assumptions, beliefs, and principles about nature of knowledge and truth and the nature of the entities
represented in the metaparadigm (Marchuk, 2014). Nursing philosophy is the base of practice for it
ensures the application of knowledge, skills concepts, models and theories in the provision of care.
The practice of nursing is based on concepts of patient, nurse, health, and environment. My
professional nursing philosophy focuses on provision of human care/ family centered patient care
geared towards improvement and maintenance of health. Per Hamric, advanced practice nursing is a
patient focused care that deals with application of an expanded range of competencies that will have

The two World War I based poems Dulce et Decorum by Wilfred Owen, and Who s for the Game? by
Jessie Pope convey two different views on World War I. Dulce et Decorum by Wilfred Owen, is being
told from a soldier s perspective during a poison gas attack and the gruesome events he sees around
him. The soldier realizes that war is a lie and the phrase Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori is also a
big lie, the poem s only purpose is to be aimed toward children or young men who desperately want

The Fight For Clean Air
The Fight for Clean Air in Texas Public health often involves out of multiple disciplines but at its core,
resides in the general interest of the health of populations. How healthy a population is, often depends
on their overall environment. Poor air quality can cause undesirable health issues among individuals in
sensitive portions of the population who are asthmatic, have lung disease, or even cardiovascular
conditions. Especially in areas where communities are affected by the outcomes of policies that
directly impact the health of individuals, their safety, and other things. These issues often stem from
very similar risk factors on multiple levels regarding the individual, inter intrapersonal, community,
institutional and policy regulations. In Houston, Texas one of the current issues is air pollution.
Several populations are at risk of suffering from an increase in respiratory diseases. The
Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) brought attention to the issue earlier this year with a four part
series of articles. They highlighted an increase in ozone levels across the city during 2015. It is
suggested that this could possibly cause Houston to exceed EPA regulations. Houston and other
surrounding areas in Texas need to commit to changes that can lower ozone average levels in 2016.
People living in these communities are at particular risk of serious health effects due ground level
ozone and smog. There is a wealth of scientific evidence on the development of asthma,

Decline Of Printing Industry Essay
Commercial Print, an Industry in Decline
Robert Ehnat
Business 110
The commercial printing industry, once the dominant communication medium of the United States has
been changing constantly for the last 65 years. Since the end of the Second World War, the
commercial printing industry has lost market share for a number of reasons. Unimagined
technological advances brought continuous innovations, new media challenges, a changing culture and
increased domestic and foreign competition. The result of these changes is an industry that s been
forever altered and is facing an uncertain future.

Additionally individuals and organizations have the ability to skip the printing process completely and
disseminate their publications and newsletters in digital form directly across the World Wide Web.
One clear impact of computers and internet usage can been in the market of business form printing.
Forms printers have seen a significant decline in revenues with the development of computers and the
advent of the internet. In 1987 business forms generated 15.6 billion in revenues. By 2002, the
business forms segment was generating only $8.5 billion in revenues which was $2.1 billion less than
the real value of the industry s shipments in 1977 . (Kelley Rockler, 2006) Advertising dollars fund a
large portion of commercial print revenues. (First Research, 2009) Newspapers and periodicals have
been severely impacted by the development of the internet as a mass media channel in its own right.
Drawn by it s lower cost, immediacy, usability and availability advertisers have shifted their budgets
from print advertising to the internet. Periodicals, especially in the business to business arena, have
increasing had to abandoned their printed versions and go completely to publishing on the web as their
advertisers deserted them. (Wilson, 2009) The current economic down turn has only exacerbated the
situation. 2008, was the

Negative Effects Of Korea
From 1910 to 1945, when Japan surrendered after its defeat in World War II, Korea was a colony of
Japan during Japan s pursuit towards domination of Asia. Japan s intent was to erase the Korean
national identity. According to a BBC World Service Poll conducted in 2014, 79% of South Koreans
view Japan s influence negatively, and 15% express a positive view, making South Korea, behind
China, the second country with the most negative feelings of Japan in the world. Among many of the
hardships and humiliations suffered by Koreans during this period, Japan s occupation in Korea
affected their education, communications, culture, government, and women negativity. First off,
Korean education was negatively affected by the Japanese colonization. Before Japan s colonization,
Korea s education system was swiftly improving. Education had been important in Korea since the
14th century. In 1907, missionaries ran 508 primary schools and 22 high schools. Japan s colonization
destroyed much of this system. By 1917, the number of schools run by missionaries was halved and
by 1937 only 34 remained. In 1939, the Japanese governor instructed that students should speak in
Japanese and not be allowed to speak Korean inside or outside of school. Also, Korean families were
forced to change their names to Japanese names and if they refused, they were prohibited from
enrolling in school, thus 84% of Korean families changed their names by 1940. This made learning
harder because only Japanese language

Changing Voting Restrictions
Have you ever felt like the government is trying to take away your voice? Well if you allow them to
take away your right to vote with new restrictions on who can or can not vote then that is what they
are basically doing. It would be taking away the already small voice you have in your governmental
system. If they were to change the requirements then it would cause mass confusion of election day, it
would be erasing what some people fought for to earn the right to vote, and the voting rate is low
enough.
One of the main reasons why we should not change the voting restrictions it that it would cause mass
confusion when it came to election day. Election day is already heptic enough when it comes time for
the american people to vote for their next commander in chief. It would just add on to the craiz and
confusion if people went to go vote and was not allowed to because of a new type of restriction out
that they did not know of. For example, during the 2016 election between Hillary Clinton and Donald
Trump there were 14 different states that had new voting laws. One of the 14 states that changed their
voting laws was Connecticut. When election day came around people that were working the polls in
Connecticut was improperly insisting for voters to show photo ... Show more content on

time when certain people did not have the right to vote. ( History of Voting Rights ) The last reason
why we should not have any more voting restrictions is because we already have a low voting rate as
it is. If we had any more requirements than the voting rate would be even

Civil Rights Movement And The Women s Liberation Movement
Liberation Movement of Women
In modern day, many fail to realize we were not always equal as a nation. In the past, women were
treated much differently. They were viewed as inferior to men and were denied many rights that we
have now. Women struggled to achieve their civil rights.
On Election day in 1920, millions of American women voted for the very first time. On August 26,
1920, the 19th Amendment was passed. Women suffrage caught the nation attention first in July 1848
at Seneca Falls, New York. More than 300 women gathered to commence the women s suffrage
movement. This movement was led by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, the convention implemented a

Kennedy later gave an administrative command to establish the President s Commission on the Status

to pass the Equal Pay Act of 1963. Although the bill was a great first step for equality, not all women
were paid equally as men. The next year, Title VII of the Civil Rights was passed. This became a huge
triumph for women and anyone who was being discriminated against. To uphold equal civil rights, the
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) was also created. The purpose of the EEOC
was to investigate any type of discrimination in work environment areas and to enforce equal
employment. The mid 19th century was the beginning of the civil rights. After gaining the right to

Beowulf, Lanval, And Sir Gawain And The Green Knight
The concept of physical war is universally understood while many do not recognize internal struggles
as a war within. The wife of bath, Beowulf, Lanval, and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight all share a
common theme of internal struggle. From a mental war over the kingdoms precedent, to an altering
decision on whether knightly virtues are more important than his own life, these characters are battling
the ideology of their roles during their time periods, as well as themselves. The storyline of Beowulf
illustrates the epic battle between good and evil, and demonstrates to the readers that external war is
not the only conflict hero s face. Beowulf struggles a lot with his pride. Beowulf s biggest internal
battle was experienced when he was preparing to fight the dragon. He decided to go into battle,
ignoring the fact that he had aged, but his pride, and warrior code wouldn t let him run. What makes
matters worse, he decided to go into the battle alone. His hero pride overcame the actions a normal
king would ve taken. The hero ideology at the time was strictly against a warrior running from a
battle, and if Beowulf had done so, he would ve been persecuted by society, as well as his own
conscience. Lanvel is a great story telling the story of an outcast, and twists through the plot that true
love cannot coexist with real life. Lanvel had a very tough war raging in his head. He had to choose
between staying loyal to his king, or his love. Lanvel had to pick between betraying

The Ethical And Legal Issues
The Issue
The concept of autonomy spans both ethical and legal issues as it pertains to the aging population.
This paper will focus on the ethical perspective of trying to keep a balance between allowing an aging
(65+) person to maintain their autonomy when making rational and intelligent life choices while at the
same time assisting them from making bad choices that might harm them emotionally, financial,
spiritually or even physically in some instances. Autonomy comes from the Greek word for self rule,
and defines a person s ability or capacity to make choices based on their personal beliefs and values.
Unless decision making capacity is taken away from a person through legal measures, all adults are
presumed to have capacity to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As unique as we are throughout our lifetimes, we are just as unique in how we age. Seniors today who
are 65 plus have a greater opportunity of living another thirty or more years, and while some are not
healthy in body and/or mind, a great many are living full and active lives. It is usually the family and
friends who will be the first to observe if someone is failing in ADL s (Activities of Daily

Living), and to what degree the person may need help making daily choices. People need to feel
empowered in their lives in order to feel satisfaction and continue to have a purpose. Of prime
importance in someone s life is the feeling that they make a difference and that their thoughts and
deeds matter.
Contrasting Views
While there are several components to the concept of autonomy, this paper will compare and contrast
the elements pertaining to autonomy within the healthcare and legal system. When President Lyndon
B. Johnson signed the Older Americans Act (OAA) in 1965, the same year of the creation of
Medicare, the OAA created the Administration on Aging (AOA), a division within the Department of
Health and Human Services which funds community service programs for the elderly, as well as
provides funding and administration for research projects in the field of aging. Amendments in 1972
to the OAA added the National Nutrition Program for elders. In 2000, the OAA was amended once

The audience went silent. The crowd locked their eyes on only two things, the soccer player and the
ball. This was their last chance. If they score this penalty, they have a chance to move on into the
finals. The player kept his attention on the ball. He ran towards it and kicked it with a powerful force,
aiming it towards the soccer net. The audience threw their hands up with tears in their eyes . The
stadium now filled with passionate cheers as everyone jumped up and down from their seats. Soccer is
the greatest discovery because; no other sport has the power to unite countries. It helps with

fewer sports that does not discriminate. Anyone can enjoy the wonderful benefits of this sport. The
sport started back with the ancient Greeks and Romans. According to an online website (The History

French played a violent version of this sport called la choule which later on became banned. On the
other hand, in medieval England, the English played a different version of the game that included the

Assessment can also diagnose any obstacles to learning, learning difficulties or learning hiatuses
(Dreyer, 2014:17). Educators can utilise assessment to determine what learners bring into a learning
cycle so as to develop instruction tailored to learner s requirements and to build on existing knowledge
and skills (Spiller, 2009:6 7). This diagnostic purpose can be further used to determine if learners
require further instruction and to assess if learners are prepared for the next stage (Dreyer, 2014:7).
Feedback Assessment provides feedback that learners can use to determine their progress, in relation
to learning outcomes (Spiller, 2009:6). Feedback assists the educator in determining if teaching was
effective and to determine how appropriate modifications and adaptations can be made to improve
future instruction (Dreyer, 2014:7). Learning opportunities Assessments provide learners opportunities
to develop mastery of their ideas, skills and competencies, whilst educators use assessment tasks as
both teaching and learning tools (Spiller, 2009:6 7). Self Evaluation Assessment enables educators to
provide feedback to their learners, this in turn promotes self evaluation by the learner, as they use the
assessment feedback to scrutinise and make judgements about the quality of their work (Spiller,

Forecasting Effects on Supply Chain
Analysis of Forecasting on Supply Chain
Background:
A supply chain is a network that performs functions from supplier s supplier to customer s customer. It
encompasses all the process involved in delivering the final product to the final consumer. Supply
chain is filled with various uncertainties such as demand, process, and supply. Inventories are often
used to protect the chain from these uncertainties. The higher the variations the more the losses and
every company needs to minimize the variations and uncertainties in its supply chain.
There are various causes of uncertainties. Among them few that can be listed are demand variations
based on the type of product, the suppliers receipt variations which depend on the ... Show more

It also tells us the effect of forecasting on the planning.
We know about the bullwhip effect and the model shows clear signs of it. How the change in forecast
is affecting the demand given by the manufacturer to its supplier. It shows clear signs within the firm
itself where changes in demand by the customer is encouraging sales people to buffer up their supply
to meet the demand.
The model:
We are considering a mean demand of D, the variations sigma, lead time of 2 8 weeks depending on
the parts.
As we can see the demand has been varying a lot in 2009. This has induced a forecasting error by the
sales people in the manufacturing organization.
It has been assumed that sales people fill the MDS data 3 months in advance for the confirmed orders.
Hence it can be easily seen how the variation in the original forecast, the amount filled in the MDS
and actual shipment delivered to the customer changes.
Findings:
The bullwhip effect increases as the lead time increases. This is because the order level needed and
desired level needed are proportional to the lead time. This causes amplifying of inventory. There can
also be other delays like delaying order placing.
Here as we can see the decentralization has caused different forecast. This issue becomes more
complicated downstream as can be seen from the chart. There is a high increase in the variation of the
demand. The equilibrium depends not only on the quantities ordered

There has been many great men and women in America that has been an influence in the United States
of America who strived to make the United States a better country. One of the many people who has
been and continues to be one of the great American influential people is the sixteenth president of the
United States, Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln strove to do his duties to serve America during his
presidency. He served our country during the time of conflict and kept our country from falling apart
during the American Civil War. Also, Lincoln gave his life for what he believed in. Other people might
believe that there are better American war heroes or technological advances in the United States; I
personally believe Abraham Lincoln was one of the greatest because he changed America for the
better through one of the toughest times of war for America, and he put his strong mind into ending

Maxim Kills Rebecca
Rebecca has been a popular gothic romance novel. The plot is traditional: A young woman, the
protagonist, ends up in a foreign setting, and must win the heart of a striking man while piecing
together a mystery. Also, typically in gothic fashion, the weather will mirror the characters moods. An
example of this is when Maxim kills Rebecca the same night of a terrible storm.
This novel of suspense had two twists to it, which makes it a very well thought out story. The story
begins in Manderley and sets an foreboding atmosphere, which is typical for gothic fashion literature.
This is laid out before the flashback in the novel. Here, we begin to perceive a taste of how sinister
and supernatural the atmosphere of Manderley is, once the flashbacks of the trip to Monte Carlo pass.

All Hail Macbeth in Shakespeare s Play
All hail Macbeth
One first learns of Macbeth through the eyes of a wounded captain, reporting on what has happened
on the battlefield. Macbeth is portrayed foremost as a couragious warrior, who has fought well and
won for his king and country.
It makes it seem as if Macbeth is a man with a good character.
However, the events during the play causes this reasonably good man to become a tyrant, whose sole
name blisters our tongues
At the beginning of the play, becoming the next king of Scotland has never even entered the mind of
Macbeth. The ambitious character he is portrayed as does not come out until later in the play, after the
all important event of the prophecy of the witches.
This prophecy changes everything for Macbeth and dictates the entire play.
The prophecy says speaks of Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter , as well as the next thane of
Cawdor. Soon after he has heard the prophecy, he finds out that he is indeed been named the new
thane of Cawdor.
Macbeth, who at first did not really believe the prophecy, is now forced to reconsider. If one part of
the prophecy is right, could the other parts of it come true as well?
The prophecy is the first event of many on his road to becoming a tyrant.
It forces the vaulting ambition to come out. Without the prophecy, that trait might have stayed in the
background.
However, even after being named thane of Cawdor, Macbeth remains uncertain about what to do next.
He writes about the events to his wife

considering training, money, time, and work that is put into owning a dog, let alone having it

Some disabled people feel very disconnected from normal people, but a service dog helps them
overcome that, and also become more independent. Service dogs seem to positively influence
socialization and community participation in a variety of environments. Two studies observed
partnerships in natural environments (Eddy et al., 1988; Mader et al., 1989) and reported that
community members smiled and conversed with children and adults with service dogs more than
children and adults without service dogs, and community members did not avoid the person with a
disability as much when a service dog was present (Winkle, Crowe, and Hendrix 57). Service dogs
allow disabled people to do more things on their own, with the help of the dog, and feel like they do
not have to rely on other people to help them as much. In addition, when a disabled person has a
service dog, they have a companion that is by their side throughout the day, boosting their confidence.
Presnall writes: Jennifer had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of sixteen... I felt kind
of repulsive and unlovable in that wheelchair, [Jennifer] says. But I knew a service dog would look at

who had both of his legs amputated above his knees, and his dog Inca. Inca s arrival has made a huge

For the purpose of this essay the author shall discuss what considerations of structure and culture

The Famous Greek Philosopher And The Best Greek Philosophers
Socrates was known as one of the best Greek philosophers born in Athens in 469 BC. He wasn t one to
keep his legacy alive by physically writing it down. Socrates was a verbal philosopher who taught
orally. He always had questions beyond questions for anyone and everyone who he crossed paths with.
He was a curious person and his curiosity is what lead him to become the great philosopher he is
known by today. He would talk to anyone who was willing to listen, no matter the gender, wealth, or
age of the person. Socrates was known for not accepting money for his teachings. He lived a fairly
poor life but he was known for his character and the way he presented himself. He taught himself
before he taught others without even realizing it. Self development was the main aspect he used to tell
his fellow believers, rather than focusing on becoming a wealthy person. The Socratic Method is
known as the famous process in helping people. He would ask them a number of questions and listen
to what one had to say, rather than making assumptions and jumping to conclusions. His goal was to
let the other person listen to themselves and realize what they are speaking. He tried to give them a
voice of reasoning and have them truly understand that the answer doesn t necessarily have to come
from someone else s perspectives but their own. Socrates ended up being put on trial for a number of
reasons. Our modern day knowledge of the word apology has no where near the same meaning as the

Meditators find when they stop taking things in life so seriously, the self drops away. They are more

The Importance Of Childhood In Medieval Art
Childhood is an important part of the life of an individual. This is because childhood determines to a
greater extent the behavior and personality of an individual in adulthood based on the environment
they are brought up. Ideally, every individual has some childhood memories of pictures in stacks of
albums in the house. This demonstrates the importance of childhood in the development of an
individual. However, ancient artists do not share these sentiments, as they did not portray the
importance of childhood in early paintings and pictures. Aries (1996) pointed out Medieval art did

The thirteenth century demonstrated or represented childhood in a concept closer to the current
representation. Childhood representation changed in the thirteenth century as art embodied aspects of
childhood compared to miniature small scale representation. Ideally, the evolution towards a realistic
and sentimental representation of childhood begins with the childhood of Jesus. The representation of
Jesus on His mother s arms led to family representations that demonstrated childhood characteristics.
However, a more realistic and sentimental childhood representation revolved around Jesus until the
fourteenth century when the
Italian art helped to develop and spread an ideal childhood representation.
The gothic period produced yet another type of childhood representation. This period saw the
representation of a naked child. The previous representation seldom represented a naked child, except
in cases of innocence and death. The allegory of death and soul introduced child nudity in the
medieval period. Nonetheless, the concept of Holy Childhood continued to develop in both variety
and scope from the thirteenth century onwards. The progress of Holy Childhood showed the progress
of the idea of childhood that was lacking in the previous centuries.

Sociological Explanations of Unequal Distributions of...
Sociology Homework: Examine the sociological explanations of unequal distributions of wealth and
income in contemporary Britain (24 marks)
There are five main sociological explanations of unequal distributions of wealth and income in
contemporary Britain that I will be discussing as well as explaining within this essay.
One sociological explanation for the unequal distribution of wealth and income in contemporary
Britain is because it is necessary for the maintenance of society. This is argued by functionalists such
as Davis and Moore who suggest that inequality in wealth and income is very significant due to the
fact that some jobs are seen as more functionally important than others. As well as this, they believe
that meritocratic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However this theory can be criticised as it only looks at inequality within class and not inequality
within gender, age or other aspects. In addition to this this theory also fails to explain inequality within
men and women from different cultural and traditional backgrounds.
A further explanation is because of market situation of individual workers in the labour market. This is
argued by a social theorist in the name of Weber, who suggested that wealth and income inequality
occurs because some jobs have high rewards due to the fact that they are associated with strong trade
unions. Other reasons are because of how high the demand is or because of key attributes needed in
order to undertake a job. A prime example would be people employed to undertake transport services
e.g train or bus drivers. On average Train drivers get around £ 41,000 a year while nurses or school
secretaries get around 15 27,000 a year. We see that this is the case because train drivers are linked to
trade unions such as the TLC which help make the decisions of striking or protesting if something is
wrong and its difficult for the government to oppose transport workers as a lot of people rely on tubes
and buses to get to work and if trains and buses don t operate then no money will go towards the
government. This links to contemporary Britain because some jobs don t give high

How Advertisers Gear Their Advertisements Towards Children
Advertisers and Children This essay will be about how advertisers gear their advertisements towards
children. It will explain whether or not it is appropriate to do so and what effects it can have on them.
Advertisers have an effect on where kids eat, what they wear, what they buy, and where they go for
vacations (Poulton). Advertisers will employ celebrities to endorse their products in order to make the
product more popular among teens. They will even send text messages to people who sign up about
special sales or other advertisements. There are two sides to this argument. One side says it is okay
gearing advertisements towards children, and another that says it is not okay. I am on the side that says
it is not okay to target children in advertising. The reason being is because it can lead to undisciplined
children, money problems, and bad habits in life. On the other side, people agree that targeting
children are a good thing. They say this because it teaches them a compromise, promotes creativity,
economic benefits, a positive social influence, and educational benefits (Lush, Shannon, Breseman, et
al.). In this essay I will find the common grounds between the two sides. When children learn how to
compromise, it teaches them how to become independent and how to become smarter consumers. It is
also important for children to be creative because it increases their potential to create different things
that could possibly benefit society and have a positive influence on

The Modernization Of The World
The modernization of the world utilizes many products that are produced from man made products
that are considered hazardous materials. These products fill our garages and store rooms in small
quantities. However, these household products pose a minor threat compared to the large amounts of
dangerous chemicals, and products are shipped, stored, or produce on a large scale in our towns. The
failure to properly handle these chemicals and products can and frequently has a disastrous outcome.
This hazardous material (hazmat) disasters have different threats and considerations than other
disasters. Responders need to be aware of these risks and factors and manage the scene accordingly.
A hazardous material disaster can be described as a large scale interruption of daily activities by an
unplanned release spill, fire or explosion involving hazardous materials that cause, or have the
potential to cause widespread injuries or damage to people, property or the environment (Kramer,
2009, p. 194). These disasters are significant events that take a multitude of agencies and experts to
correctly mitigate the incident, minimizing the potential effects of the hazardous material involved.
Hazardous materials are part of our everyday lives. We see them on the freeways, factories,
manufacturing plants, rail cars, and even gas stations. Hazmat incidents may occur for a variety of
reason such as spills, crashes, leaks, or some other ways. In general, most often hazmat incidents can
be traced to

Racial Stereotypes Of Deaf And Deaf
Cultural stereotypes used to consider deafness to be a great misfortune, but being deaf does not limit
the abilities of a person. Members of the Deaf community consider deafness to be normal rather than a
disability. A deaf people can do anything a hearing person can do, such as, drive, participate in group
activities, communicate, and have normal lives. Deaf In the film Through Deaf Eyes , an HDTV
documentary including interviews, personal stories, and historic accounts, the prejudice and
affirmation of Deaf culture is revealed to show hearing people the reality of deaf life. Through this
film, I have learned about education for deaf people, the Deaf President Now Movement, and about
cochlear implants. The Fist thing I learned from watching Through Deaf Eyes is the differences
between deaf speaking schools and deaf ASL schools. Deaf speaking schools teach deaf people to
communicate using speech through speech therapy. Speaking schools are good because they enables a
deaf person to learn speech to talk with a hearing person. The problem with speaking schools is that
they are not always effective and ban the use of ASL. Speech therapy creates a one way method of
communication between a deaf person and a hearing person. With speech a deaf person is able to
speak with a hearing person, but they are still not able to hear the person they are talking to. Unlike
speaking schools, ASL schools teach their students to communicate with sign language. ASL is a
language that uses

Modeling And Simulation Of The Supply Chain Complexity...
Chapter 5 Modeling And Simulation Of The Supply Chain Complexity With Product And Demand
Characterisation
In the real world, supply chains are more complex, an information exchange difficult, since real
demand and delivery times seldom are known. To reproduce this unpredictability to a certain extent,
we have order and delivery delays as well as no information sharing between the sites. A supply chain
contains different flows. The information flow and the physical the product flow are considered.
Real System: If implementing a simulation for a real system, collect input and output data where
applicable to use during the validation and simulation process. For a virtual system, the quality of the
data and understanding its origin is significant to the validation process according to Law and Kelton.
Modeling: In a first step the real system is analyzed and a model of it is specified. The level of
abstraction depends on the goal of the simulation. The modeling can be done in a general
programming language like UML, a Visio chart or in Mathematica. The resulting formal model is
checked for its suitability against the real system.
Implementation: After the system has been abstracter to a model, the model is implemented in a
simulator. The simulator contains the physical model, which has to be verified against the formal
model.
Model Validation : Conclusions need to be reached from a valid system to achieve the set objectives.
The validation process determines that the

Essay On Poland
Poland is known worldwide for its delicious food and pristine green landscape. Today, Poland has the
sixth largest economy in the European union. The GDP in poland is 1.051 trillion dollars and has been
remained relatively steady since 2010. There is a fairly low unemployment rate at 6.2% in Poland
compared to Canada s 6.9%. Positive aspects of their economy include their steady rate of growth for
the last 25 years, their efficient use of resources from the European Structural funds and lastly the
strong domestic demand for their exports. On the other hand, unfortunately Poland s economy also
suffers from many many negatives. The first negative is their political uncertainty. Poland s political
uncertainty falls mainly on the presidential ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main reason for this rise is because of the persistent demand of a policy of economic liberalization
throughout the 90 s.
Productive Sector
The automotive industry is one of the biggest means of production in Poland, accounting for 11% of
their industrial productions. Before WWII, Poland s industrial sector consisted mostly of coal, textile,
chemical, and iron. It now includes items such as fertilizers, petrochemicals, and machine tools. In
2012, the PKN Orlen, located in Poland, was the biggest company in terms of sales in central Europe,
providing jobs for over 24,000 people. In poland, there are not many small and medium businesses
compared to other countries in the European Union. They have 1.9 businesses for every 1,000 citizens.
The role of small and medium businesses is very important in the Polish economy just like it is in
every economy, meaning they need new companies to challenge each other thus creating the most
efficient economy.
Trade
Poland has a balance of trade (the difference in value between a country s imports and exports) of 2
billion, 100 million dollars. As Poland is included in the European Union, they have a common
external tariff that applies for all goods coming from outside of the country. The main import for
Poland comes from the US, mostly shipping capital good s to help with industrial retooling. The major
exports of Poland are machinery, more specifically,

Great Depression Relief
The Great Depression and the Progress to Relief The Great Depression has been marked as one of the
darkest periods faced by the world after the Total War, WWI. Many in the U.S. can recall the good
times felt in the 1920 s. Money could be made and credit was the norm, much the same, seen today.
The despair that rolled on the world in 1929, when the stock market crashed brought much devastation
not just to Americans, but the world. It is not that the struggle was necessary forgotten, just push to the
back of minds as something that will never happen again. The democratic America first did as a

Faustus Folly Analysis
I think that this play is an example of a damning folly. The reason behind that is that Faustus is not a
good guy. It is also a damned folly because he sold his soul to the Devil and that is not a good thing at
all. I think that this play is kind of confusing as well. Faustus said that he could not take it anymore
and so he decided to sell his soul to the Devil. I do not think that was good of him to do so. He also
said that he would do anything to stay with the Devil. I think that he should have made a better
decision when it came to his life. This play was to have specific things about certain things. I do not
know what else to think about. I think that Faustus is also a romantic person. The reason behind that I
because he was asking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

an idea for everything and every action he does. He does not do that much now that he sold his soul to
the devil. I think that he could have been better. I find it interesting that I could do stuff like that as
well. I also like the way that you can do something that makes up yourself. He has pretty good
understanding skills too. He is very detailed on some things. I can also say that he is a good person at
some times in his old life. I think that this play is a screaming example of a damning folly. I think that
Faustus cared more about the devil than God and Jesus as well. I do not see why though but he has his
own reasons behind it. He chose his actions as well. I think that he is a bad influence. I would like to
learn more about it. I want to find more details about it as well. He is not a good person but he is a
great thinker. He is a thinker of choices. I think that he has a not so good attitude. I want to say that he
coul do plenty of things that he wants to do. He is a pretty good thinker and a good personality person.

The Hero s Journey In Monomyth, By Joseph Campbell
The hero is on a constant journey. Throughout the journey, a hero will often be faced with hardship
only to be strengthened and propelled into action. The introduction stresses the importance of the hero
s struggle. The struggle encourages the hero to act courageously and act confidently. By confronting
their hardships, the hero will experience the desired growth from the journey.
The hero also seeks a better way to behave and live. The hero s journey could be described as a
transformation. The life of the hero is affected by its surroundings as the surroundings are affected by
the hero. The hero must persevere through the journey to be a part of a greater change.

Through these tales we are taught that the journey is worth as much as the result. These tales relate
back to the hero and the importance of the journey leading to growth. A hero must have basic qualities
of perseverance and devotion in order to be successful. They should also be open to the transformation
that comes with the journey and not limit themselves to one set way as they search for fullness. These
stories although from different origins share a similar message which illustrates the universal nature of
the hero.
4. Monomyth what is it, why is it important/ relevant? (1 par)
Monomyth is a term coined by Campbell from the author James Joyce. Monomyth describes the series
of events often found in stories that make up the hero s journey. Campbell divided the journey into
three main parts: the departure, initiation and the return. Each part of the journey is further divided
into smaller more detailed sections. The basic structure outlined by Campbell s Monomyth has
become a template used for most stories centered on a hero. Many stories and blockbuster films follow
Campbell s Monomyth. This keeps the monomyth still relevant in story writing and useful in the
analysis of films.

Epic Of Gilgamesh Quote Analysis
In the story of The Epic of Gilgamesh: The Search for Everlasting Life, Gilgamesh was clearly in a
physical and emotional wreck as a result of Enkidu s death through his actions and dialogue
throughout the story. In the very first paragraph, Gilgamesh wept for his friend Enkidu; he wandered
over the wilderness...in his bitterness he cried (1). This imagery alone shows how emotionally
disturbed and upset Gilgamesh was over his friend. The wording of the sentence, using words like
wept and bitterness conveys a negative message to the reader that Gilgamesh is deeply saddened by
Enkidu s death. The quote also says how Gilgamesh wandered over the wilderness. This implies that
Gilgamesh is feeling lost without Enkidu, and Gilgamesh is just

The, A Path Of Righteousness
In the tumultuous aftermath of the first gambling match, Bhīsma declares, the way of dharma is the
highest; not even noble priests can follow it in this world. And in this world whatever a powerful man
regards as dharma is said by others to be dharma, even if it falls within the limits of adharma. I cannot
judge this question... with certainty, because of the subtlety, profundity, and seriousness of the issue.
(2.62.15 17) His words speak to a persistent source of conflict within parts of The Mahābhārata where
following dharma, a path of righteousness, is not always an issue of black and white. Many of the epic
s recurring characters, including the virtuous Arjuna, face great challenges maintaining the dharma
assigned to Kṣatriyas which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even so, Arjuna, a Kṣatriya himself, goes against that principle multiple times when he sets out to kill
Jarāsaṃdha and eventually Duryodhana. Under some urging and guidance, Arjuna dons the disguise
of a Brahmin and travels to Magadha with Kṛṣṇa and Bhīma in order to challenge King Jarāsaṃdha.
What ensues is a heated exchange as Jarāsaṃdha points out the wrong in their deceitful entrance and
the Pāṇḍavas counter him by citing his own infractions of dharma, in a justification for their reasons to
approach him the way they did: The wrong you have done, son of Bṛhadratha, should come before us,
for we practise dharma and are strong in dharma s defence. (2.20.10) Even though Kṛṣṇa claims
shortly afterwards that they do not pretend to be Brahmins (2.20.23) as they also seized garlands to go
with their costumes, something that real Brahmins do not wear, the fact that the three of them did not
present their true identities from the start is a contrast to his statement. Due to the knowledge of
Jarāsaṃdha s vow that s famous throughout the earth (2.19.31) to always greet Brahmins honourably,
their disguises allowed them to get close enough to the king in a way that their genuine identities
probably would not have allowed. As a result, they were able to execute their mission successfully.
Then, Arjuna encroaches on the Kṣatriya dharma with dishonesty again

  • 3. Critical Review Of Tourism Literature Review Critical Review of manuscript This article brings to our knowledge and explains about the overall impact of tourism by taking the four species of macropodids (Onychogalea faenata, Macropus rufogriseus, Wallabia bicolor and Macropus giganteus) in a sanctuary as their study samples. A few negative impacts were observed on different methods of approach and study and so it is concluded that, tours in vehicles would be better to minimize those impacts rather than on foot. The study of this article proves to be worth reporting as it exposes and creates the awareness in general about the negative impacts on different species due to increasing human population and their approach towards them. The title explains the study of this article and its findings but does not seem to be appropriate. The title would look better if it was made precise and had apt words that best suited the article describing its result. The abstract gives an overall idea and the main aim of this article but has no background information or reasoning. The study sample species names are mentioned but it lacks the methodology of their study. It expresses a solution for the problem of the study but not a specific clear cut quantitative or qualitative result. The content is too concise but still it conveys a message. The introduction had the suitable information to the study and also it did introduce the topic. The aim was explained in well organized manner but the hypothesis of the article was not clear. ... • 4. Yellowtone Extremophies Yellowstone National Park is a truly unique place. Few places in the world contain such amazing biodiversity, and such a wide variety of species in such a condensed area. While many scientists have been interested in studying the various plants and animals that inhabit Yellowstone, a group of microorganisms that has been of special interest in the past few years are Yellowstone s extremophiles the microorganisms that inhabit Yellowstone s thermal springs. Extremophiles have opened the eyes of science to the possibilities of life in extreme conditions, helping us to understand how they adapt to such seemingly inhospitable environments. They have also helped us to make several important advances in the fields of medicine and biotechnology. Before the discovery of extremophiles in Yellowstone, it was widely believed that life simply could not survive at extremely high temperatures, as extremely high temperatures quickly denature proteins in cells. Although most organisms are unable to survive in such extreme climates, the microorganisms that inhabit Yellowstone s thermal vents are able to thrive in them. Before the discovery of many microorganisms in thermal areas, it was believed that the hottest temperature at which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These organisms use several adaptations in order to survive high temperatures. They are prokaryotes, which more easily adapt to extreme temperatures than eukaryotes. They use salts such as potassium and magnesium to protect their DNA from degradation, and they generate special polyamines that help to protect the proteins in their DNA from being degraded in high temperatures. One adaptation that thermophilic archaea have that helps them to survive high temperatures is ether bonds in their cell membranes, which are more stable than bonds found in many other ... • 5. What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Citizenship... It is said that a Malaysian born citizen s citizenship cannot be revoked by the state government. According to Lawyer and constitutional law activist Syahredzan Johan, there are two categories of citizens in Malaysia. The first, are those who were born in Malaysia after the year 1963 and the latter being known as naturalized citizens. The first categories of people are those who were born in Malaysia, like the most of us and there is no formal procedure required to apply for a Malaysian citizenship. In the case of one of the child s parents are not citizens of Malaysia, but is born in Malaysia, the offspring is still considered to be a Malaysian citizen. But on the other hand, if the child has one Malaysian parent, but is born in a foreign country, he or she is not a citizen of Malaysia but may later become a permanent resident of Malaysia and later apply for citizenship. Malik has also stated that the constitution guarantees the freedom of expression. The public has the freedom to voice out their opinions on what they want to subject to the laws of this country. Syahredzan on the other hand, also agrees with Malik s statement and has added on that a defamation suit can be filed because the call to revoke one s citizenship certainly implies negativity and suggests that he or she does not deserve to be a Malaysian. He has further added that the issue of citizenship is a very serious one. Any amendment that is to be made to the constitution requires a two thirds majority in Parliament, but an amendment to the Part III has an additional safeguard. The consent of the Conference of Rulers is also required as provided under Article 159 (5). Syahredzan concluded that this further shows how serious the constitution views the issue of ... Emperor Ashurnasirpal, according to the document, indicates how he displayed his power, wealth, and benevolence through the usage of ornate halls and temples, technological innovations, international and domestic diplomacy. Oates goes into great detail on King s view of the Vietnam War that occurred in 1967, which led into his probable presidency. On the evening of April 04, 1967, Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered a speech to a crowd of 3,000 at Riverside Church in New York that spoke against the war in Vietnam. He called the war immoral and felt as if he couldn t continue to remain silent because as a believer of non violence, he couldn t undertake equal rights and peace amongst humanity, when the government thought violence was the answer in Vietnam. Due to King being anti war, his relationship with the president at the time, Lyndon Johnson had ended. • 9. Essay On Welfare Drug Testing Drug Testing Welfare Recipients Why do people that are working have to pass a drug test while those on welfare do not? This is the question that is causing a lot of debate across the country and throughout congress. Many working class Americans are outraged at the current welfare policies and believe something needs to change. There are always going to be people on government assistance who are abusing the system and who are using drugs while not working. Something needs to change so we can actually help families who need assistance, not those who are abusing drugs and the system. Therefor, I believe that states should require drug testing of all individuals on welfare since those who are supporting them have to pass a drug test. Drug testing welfare recipients has been an idea since 1996 when congress changed the welfare system and allowed for the possibility to drug test applicants for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. There are several benefits to being able to drug test ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One major argument is that it wont affect the parents receiving welfare, but instead the children. Approximately 81.5 percent of those receiving (TANF) have children. With that many having children, they are bound to see the biggest impact of drug testing since the money is supposed to pay for food, clothing, and shelter. Some say that it will cause children to struggle and possibly go hungry. Another reason that some people are against drug testing welfare recipients is that it will cost more than it saves. Such as in Florida where drug testing actually cost the state money. Each drug test cost around thirty dollars and with so many applicants it ended up costing the state forty five thousand dollars (Greenblatt). This is a lot of money that could have went back into the program. These are two of the several reasons that some are against the testing of welfare ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Foster care is responsible for providing to the needs of children who don t have homes. And who is responsible for funding these expenses? CNN wrote an article on the average cost of raising a child for 18 years, High income families who live in the urban Northeast, for example, are projected to spend nearly $455,000 to raise their child to the age of 18, while low income rural families will spend much less, an estimated $145,500, according to the report (Hicken). Lets go with the lowest number, $145,000, and divide that by 18 years; roughly $8,000 is spent to care for a child per year in a low income household. Now lets take a look at how many children are in the foster care system in the United States. On average, 402,000 children are in the foster care, and in 2013, over 23,000 aged out of the system ( Children s Rights 1). If we were to do the math, over 3 billion dollars would be spent on fostering children, per year! By simply allowing same sex couples to adopt, we could save the government money that could be put to use of other important things, such as improving city parks or assisting other families who struggle financially. Or better yet, we could be spending money towards getting help for the kids who have been in foster care and have developed mental health ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Trinity Essay When you think of God do you think of one divine entity or do you take into account the age old idea of the Trinity? For all of time we have understood the three individual person s in God, the Trinity, to be one in the same. The teaching of the Christian church tells us that God is three unique and separate people s, but they are at the same time all one person in God. Now people have many different ways to picture or represent the idea of three people as one. The trial of history has come up with many different ideas and images to try and represent the Trinity. Like many things that have to do with the unknown nature of religion we put our mental limitations on our ideas. This is only natural because it is the only way we can comprehend ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Finally the three coins are used because the coins are all cast from the same pot of substance to make them. This can be cut down even further to say it has to be three coins made out of the same coin. These are all different ways to try and explain an idea of what the Trinity is representative of. So to start explaining the meaning of the Trinity we believe in God the Father Almighty. God begot his son Jesus and sent forth the Holy Spirit, This is saying that these other two people came directly from the being of God. This makes them directly a part of God. They are all of the same person however and have their own individual identities. Many may get confused when they look at the Christian religion and see that we believe in one God yet there are three distinct people. The Creator, the Savior, and the Teacher are the distinct person s one would see yet the Trinity is how we understand them all to be one God. So the meaning of the Trinity is to strengthen our belief in one God by explaining how he is three person s in one. Next we must understand what the function of the Trinity is. The best way to explain the function of the Trinity is to use the analogy of the chain. The Trinity work together and are linked directly to one another to make one strong bond and to complete different tasks. First off God is the all powerful creator. He made all that exists in the universe. He is the watcher of everything that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 15. Antithetical Approach To Marriage In The Duchess Of Malfi Webster has depicted an antithetical approach to marriage within his Senecan play, The Duchess of Malfi. The play was written in the Jacobean era which, at the time, was a patriarchal society and so by creating a dominant female protagonist, who did just about whatever she pleased Webster has managed to incorporate a semantic field of death and pain to fit alongside his juxtapositions of a typical Jacobean marriage. To begin, Webster uses the idea of marriage being equal to ownership and power over another. As a widow the Duchess has the potential to wield power independently of a husband and sever her allegiances to other male kin, for instance her misogynistic brothers. The first way she exerts this power is through her declarative marriage proposal to Antonio a young widow// That claims you for her husband . Through the use of the transitive verb claims Webster has made the Duchess seem strong and dominant, asserting her power of high blood over the steward Antonio. This power scares Antonio, understandably so, as his role in a marriage would usually be the dominating one and typically the husband owned the wife, specifically through the law of feme covert , so far, we see that the Duchess tries to draw Antonio up to her level of status thus aligning with feme covert (her legal identity is being subsumed by him). However, Antonio does fear this You do tremble: Make not your heart so dead a piece of flesh and is therefore intimidated by the assertive Duchess. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to a BBC World Service Poll conducted in 2014, 79% of South Koreans view Japan s influence negatively, and 15% express a positive view, making South Korea, behind China, the second country with the most negative feelings of Japan in the world. Among many of the hardships and humiliations suffered by Koreans during this period, Japan s occupation in Korea affected their education, communications, culture, government, and women negativity. First off, Korean education was negatively affected by the Japanese colonization. Before Japan s colonization, Korea s education system was swiftly improving. Education had been important in Korea since the 14th century. In 1907, missionaries ran 508 primary schools and 22 high schools. Japan s colonization destroyed much of this system. By 1917, the number of schools run by missionaries was halved and by 1937 only 34 remained. In 1939, the Japanese governor instructed that students should speak in Japanese and not be allowed to speak Korean inside or outside of school. How the change in forecast is affecting the demand given by the manufacturer to its supplier. It shows clear signs within the firm itself where changes in demand by the customer is encouraging sales people to buffer up their supply to meet the demand. The model: We are considering a mean demand of D, the variations sigma, lead time of 2 8 weeks depending on the parts. As we can see the demand has been varying a lot in 2009. This has induced a forecasting error by the sales people in the manufacturing organization. It has been assumed that sales people fill the MDS data 3 months in advance for the confirmed orders. Hence it can be easily seen how the variation in the original forecast, the amount filled in the MDS and actual shipment delivered to the customer changes. Findings: The bullwhip effect increases as the lead time increases. This is because the order level needed and desired level needed are proportional to the lead time. This causes amplifying of inventory. There can also be other delays like delaying order placing. Here as we can see the decentralization has caused different forecast. Two studies observed partnerships in natural environments (Eddy et al., 1988; Mader et al., 1989) and reported that community members smiled and conversed with children and adults with service dogs more than children and adults without service dogs, and community members did not avoid the person with a disability as much when a service dog was present (Winkle, Crowe, and Hendrix 57). Service dogs allow disabled people to do more things on their own, with the help of the dog, and feel like they do not have to rely on other people to help them as much. In addition, when a disabled person has a service dog, they have a companion that is by their side throughout the day, boosting their confidence. Presnall writes: Jennifer had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of sixteen... I felt kind of repulsive and unlovable in that wheelchair, [Jennifer] says. But I knew a service dog would look at me and just think I was cool (8). More evidence of this is proven with the bond between David, a man who had both of his legs amputated above his knees, and his dog Inca. Inca s arrival has made a huge difference to David s life, both emotionally and physically (Bidder 48). Thus, service dogs impact their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For the purpose of this essay the author shall discuss what considerations of structure and culture shaped the Irish civil service. The Collins English Dictionary (2013, p) defines structure as the way in which parts are put together to make a whole. Culture on the other hand is defined as the set of predominating attitudes and behaviours that characterise a group or organisation (The Collins English Dictionary, 2013 p). Bearing these definitions in mind the author will look at the Irish civil service within the wider public service and examine the Irish civil service is in relation to its culture and structure. • 37. The Famous Greek Philosopher And The Best Greek Philosophers Socrates was known as one of the best Greek philosophers born in Athens in 469 BC. He wasn t one to keep his legacy alive by physically writing it down. Socrates was a verbal philosopher who taught orally. He always had questions beyond questions for anyone and everyone who he crossed paths with. He was a curious person and his curiosity is what lead him to become the great philosopher he is known by today. He would talk to anyone who was willing to listen, no matter the gender, wealth, or age of the person. Socrates was known for not accepting money for his teachings. He lived a fairly poor life but he was known for his character and the way he presented himself. He taught himself before he taught others without even realizing it. Self development was the main aspect he used to tell his fellow believers, rather than focusing on becoming a wealthy person. The Socratic Method is known as the famous process in helping people. He would ask them a number of questions and listen to what one had to say, rather than making assumptions and jumping to conclusions. His goal was to let the other person listen to themselves and realize what they are speaking. He tried to give them a voice of reasoning and have them truly understand that the answer doesn t necessarily have to come from someone else s perspectives but their own. This is because childhood determines to a greater extent the behavior and personality of an individual in adulthood based on the environment they are brought up. Ideally, every individual has some childhood memories of pictures in stacks of albums in the house. This demonstrates the importance of childhood in the development of an individual. However, ancient artists do not share these sentiments, as they did not portray the importance of childhood in early paintings and pictures. The representation of Jesus on His mother s arms led to family representations that demonstrated childhood characteristics. However, a more realistic and sentimental childhood representation revolved around Jesus until the fourteenth century when the Italian art helped to develop and spread an ideal childhood representation. The gothic period produced yet another type of childhood representation. This period saw the representation of a naked child. The previous representation seldom represented a naked child, except in cases of innocence and death. The allegory of death and soul introduced child nudity in the medieval period. Sociology Homework: Examine the sociological explanations of unequal distributions of wealth and income in contemporary Britain (24 marks) There are five main sociological explanations of unequal distributions of wealth and income in contemporary Britain that I will be discussing as well as explaining within this essay. One sociological explanation for the unequal distribution of wealth and income in contemporary Britain is because it is necessary for the maintenance of society. This is argued by functionalists such as Davis and Moore who suggest that inequality in wealth and income is very significant due to the fact that some jobs are seen as more functionally important than others. However this theory can be criticised as it only looks at inequality within class and not inequality within gender, age or other aspects. In addition to this this theory also fails to explain inequality within men and women from different cultural and traditional backgrounds. A further explanation is because of market situation of individual workers in the labour market. This is argued by a social theorist in the name of Weber, who suggested that wealth and income inequality occurs because some jobs have high rewards due to the fact that they are associated with strong trade unions. Other reasons are because of how high the demand is or because of key attributes needed in order to undertake a job. A prime example would be people employed to undertake transport services e.g train or bus drivers. On average Train drivers get around £ 41,000 a year while nurses or school secretaries get around 15 27,000 a year. We see that this is the case because train drivers are linked to trade unions such as the TLC which help make the decisions of striking or protesting if something is wrong and its difficult for the government to oppose transport workers as a lot of people rely on tubes and buses to get to work and if trains and buses don t operate then no money will go towards the government. • 41. How Advertisers Gear Their Advertisements Towards Children Advertisers and Children This essay will be about how advertisers gear their advertisements towards children. It will explain whether or not it is appropriate to do so and what effects it can have on them. Advertisers have an effect on where kids eat, what they wear, what they buy, and where they go for vacations (Poulton). Advertisers will employ celebrities to endorse their products in order to make the product more popular among teens. They will even send text messages to people who sign up about special sales or other advertisements. There are two sides to this argument. One side says it is okay gearing advertisements towards children, and another that says it is not okay. I am on the side that says it is not okay to target children in advertising. The reason being is because it can lead to undisciplined children, money problems, and bad habits in life. On the other side, people agree that targeting children are a good thing. They say this because it teaches them a compromise, promotes creativity, economic benefits, a positive social influence, and educational benefits (Lush, Shannon, Breseman, et al.). In this essay I will find the common grounds between the two sides. When children learn how to compromise, it teaches them how to become independent and how to become smarter consumers. It is also important for children to be creative because it increases their potential to create different things that could possibly benefit society and have a positive influence on ... The Fist thing I learned from watching Through Deaf Eyes is the differences between deaf speaking schools and deaf ASL schools. Deaf speaking schools teach deaf people to communicate using speech through speech therapy. Speaking schools are good because they enables a deaf person to learn speech to talk with a hearing person. The problem with speaking schools is that they are not always effective and ban the use of ASL. Speech therapy creates a one way method of communication between a deaf person and a hearing person. With speech a deaf person is able to speak with a hearing person, but they are still not able to hear the person they are talking to. For a virtual system, the quality of the data and understanding its origin is significant to the validation process according to Law and Kelton. Modeling: In a first step the real system is analyzed and a model of it is specified. The level of abstraction depends on the goal of the simulation. The modeling can be done in a general programming language like UML, a Visio chart or in Mathematica. The resulting formal model is checked for its suitability against the real system. Implementation: After the system has been abstracter to a model, the model is implemented in a simulator. The simulator contains the physical model, which has to be verified against the formal model.
