3. Introduction:-
• it is a malignant tumor that consists of
cells from the prostate gland.
• it also can spread to surrounding tissues.
• also metastatized throughout other areas
of body such as bones, lungs and liver.
4. Causes And Risk Factor:-
• unknown
• not related to Benign Prostate
Hypertrophy(BPH)
• advancing age
• heredity
• hormonal influences
• smoking,toxins,chemicals,industrial products,
• high saturated fat diet
8. Urinary Symptoms:-
• non malignant problems (BPH)
• burning or pain during urination
• a sensation of incomplete emptying of
bladder even after passing urine
• frequent urination
• blood in urine (hematuria)
• Blood in semen (hematospermia)
• difficulty in having an eraction
9. • Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) —
also called prostate gland enlargement —
is a common condition as men get older.
An enlarged prostate gland can cause
uncomfortable urinary symptoms, such as
blocking the flow of urine out of the bladder. It
can also cause bladder, urinary tract or kidney
problems.
10. Other Symptoms :-
• pelvic pain
• back or hip pain
• abdominal pain and jaundice
• chest pain
• weight loss
12. Surgery: Radical prostectomy-
is an operation to remove the prostate gland and
tissues surrounding it. This usually includes the seminal
vesicles and some nearby lymph nodes. Radical
prostatectomy can cure prostate cancer in men whose
cancer is limited to the prostate.
Retro pubic Radical Prostectomy-
is a surgical procedure in which the prostate gland is
removed through an incision in the abdomen.
Perineal Radical Prostectomy-
is a surgical procedure wherein the prostate gland is
removed through an incision in the area between the anus
and the scrotum. It is typically performed to remove early
prostate cancer
13. Hormonal THerapy
• it is the mainstay of treatment for
symptomatic advanced prostate
cancer.
14. Radiation Therapy:
• it is mainly used to kill as much of cancer
as possible and to minimize the amount of
healthy tissue that is affected
15. Cryo Therapy:
this technique includes stainless steel
probe which are used to freeze the
cancerous cells and kill them.
16. ChemoTherapy:
• it is not communally used for this cancer
• Estramustin,
• Cisplatin,
• 5-FU,
• Vinorelbine, And
• Mitoxantrone
