Globalization And Its Impact On The World
The Past
Globalization, it could be argued, began when tribes first realized there were other tribes in the
surrounding areas. With different specialties and skills, these groups began to trade. While these
groups may not have been very geographically separated, the available world was expanding as more
and more people groups began to connect and interact. Landmarks in the development of globalization
can be traced through history: from the exchange of both goods and knowledge on the silk roads and
the discovery of the Americas to the inventions of the steam engine and the telegraph (Free Exchange,
2013). Through these milestones, the world was growing in terms of awareness, but shrinking in terms
of ability to travel, trade, and share ideas.
In a form that is more recognizable today, globalization began as the world began to open in waves, or
rather a tsunami, as Harold Sirkin and his colleagues theorize in Globality. Globality is the next step
after globalization; it is the new reality in which companies will be competing with everyone, from
everywhere, for everything (Sirkin, Hemerling, Bhattacharya, 2008, p. 1). There are a multitude of
factors that have created the conditions for globality to occur. There have been many waves of
globalization, like those that brought Japan, Mexico, Korea, and many other nations into the world
arena.
Unlike these waves of varying size, the tsunami is a series of low, powerful waves caused by an
undersea disruption that crash

Too Much Crying isn t a Good Thing
Crying is undoubtedly one of the most common humanistic features when it comes to the emotions of
the average person, due to the fact that every human being has shed tears for which ever reasons their
emotions led them to. However, crying can also be the result of many other issues and can indicate a
serious problem if done continuously and drastically to the point where it becomes a serious concern.
In adolescents, it is more normal to cry as the child may not understand or know what to do about a
situation, leaving them flustered, agitated, sad, angry, or any negative emotion causing them to cry.
With these things being said, when crying is understood to be the result of an underlying deep rooted
issue, the next step is to understand the enforcer that is keeping the behavior of crying continuous and
figure out exactly how to decrease it to the point of normality. Crying has also yet to be examined
systematically in isolation from other problem behavior, such as aggression or tantrums, during
functional analyses (Hanley, Iwata, McCord, 2003). Identification of variables that may maintain
crying is especially important for populations who are susceptible to psychiatric interventions (e.g.,
individuals who have intellectual disabilities and communication deficits). The current study extended
functional analysis methodology to crying with an adolescent boy who had been diagnosed with
intellectual disabilities. Results suggested that crying was maintained by caregiver

My Views On Spiritual Activism Essay
As an activist, I am seeking to build a better world. A world for all people and all other forms of life. I
want to build a world where all life is respected and where suffering due to oppression is eradicated.
However, I have learned that I cannot build that world if I am not internalizing these ideas. As an
activist, I must be vigilant in the ways in which I interact with the people around me. Engaging in a
spiritual practice offered a unique insight into spiritual activism. I heard parts of myself for the very
first time and gained insight to where I am on my spiritual journey. Furthermore, I was able to connect
this new knowledge with my everyday life and work to better myself. I was fortunate enough to have
an experience within this project that allowed me to enact change within myself and another
individual. This experience was not only transformative, but vital to my growth and has inspired me to
go forward within this work. Learning about spiritual activism firsthand has shaped my views on
enacting change within my own community. Aside from an overwhelming feeling of pride within this
work, I created a newfound relationship with myself that I will continue to nurture. Through mirror
scrying I became more aware of myself, my place in my community, and the ways in which spiritual
activism is beneficial in my pursuit to build a better world.
The practice of mirror scrying is a form of divination with various roots including mention in Hebrew
faith, North American Native

Retention of Title
Law essay
Sally agrees to sell 1,000 tons of polyester fiber to Barry at $10 a ton. She delivers 500 tons under a
contract which expressly provides:
...the ownership of the goods shall remain with the Seller which reserves the right to dispose of the
goods until payment in full for all goods supplied has been received by it or until such time as the
buyer sells the goods to its customers by way of bona fide sale at full market value.
The buyer pays $2500 but subsequently becomes insolvent and unable further to perform the contract.
Of the 500 tons delivered, 300 tons is still at Barry s premises unsold and unused but is now worth
$4,000, instead of $3,000 as it was at the time of the contract of sale. Sally repossesses the whole ...

It is quite clear that with the retention of title clause (i.e. The ownership of the material to be delivered
by AIV (the plaintiffs) will only be transferred to purchaser when he has met all that is owning to AIV,
no matter on what grounds. ), the plaintiff are the owners of the remaining unsold aluminium foil held
by the receiver, and that they are entitled to an order for its delivery up to them. Therefore, with the
similar facts compared with the case study, it is reasonable to say that Sally s claim for repossession of
the whole 300 tons of unsold polyester fibre regardless the material has been used or not should be
prevailed. The real question arose in this case is whether Sally is entitled to the other 200 tons and be
able to trace the proceeds of the sub sales.
In the Romalpa case, Mocatta J held that Aluminium Industrie Vaasen was still the owner, and could
trace the price due to them into the proceeds of sale of the finished goods, ahead of Romalpa s
unsecured and secured creditors. He said that the preservation of ownership clause contains unusual
and fairly elaborate provisions departing substantially from the debtor/creditor relationship and shows,
in my view, the intention to create a fiduciary relationship to which the principle stated in Re Hallett s
Estate applies. From this perspective, the same judgment may be held for the Sally since the clause in
the contract also shows an intention to create a fiduciary relationship.

Gorbachev Imperialism
Leonid Brezhnev and Mikhail Gorbachev were Soviet leaders in the late 1900s. They had similarities
and differences as leaders. First of all, Brezhnev, a hard nosed communist, cared a lot about
communist countries because the Soviet Union had the right to intervene if communism was
threatened in other communist state. On the other hand, Gorbachev had no intention in communist
countries. A foreign policy under Gorbachev was not very strong. However, the economy in the Soviet
Union under both Brezhnev and Gorbachev was bad. According to Brezhnev, the government s central
planning led to a huge and complex bureaucracy, collective farmers had no incentive to work hard,
and there were high standard of living. Also, under Gorbachev, the economic issues led to a slow
down in the arms race. It tripled the national debt in US and the cost of maintaining satellite states and
an enormous military budget under communism were too high that they would not afford it.
Furthermore, due to the ethnic tensions and allowing non communist political party to organize, one
by one the Soviet Republics voted for independence and finally led to a fall of communism in Eastern
Europe and the Soviet Union. 4. The fall of the Soviet Union impacted several satellite states.

The author, Julia Galeota makes three points against cultural imperialism in her essay. The first point
is that many cultures are disappearing due to the overwhelming influence of American tradition. I
refute to this statement because they are just smaller and less influential than American culture. It is
quite exaggerated to say that other cultures are disappearing. For instance, four years ago, a Korean
song called Gangnam Style struck the whole world with its catchy rhythm, dance and funny music
video. It even took second on the Billboard. This shows that other cultures still have a chance to beat
American culture. American culture never stopped other cultures to spread or stand on

Chipotle Marketing Plan
Written Assignment Chipotle Marketing Plan International Marketing BUS 403 February 11, 2015
Introduction: | Chipotle first opened in Denver in 1993 with a simple idea behind it, food served fast
didn t have to be fast food experience , (Chipotle Mexican Grill, 2015). Prior to CEO Steve Ellis
opening the restaurant chain, he himself was a chef. Since its creation, Chipotle has become a
phenomenon in the restaurant industry and has experienced tremendous growth since it went public in
2006 with over 1,600 restaurants in Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, and France, with the majority
located in the United States (Chipotle Mexican Grill, 2015). . The company focus is on using high

Chipotle s main focus in marketing is in the United States but follows the same model in the
international market. It has never been Chipotles intention to put its stamp on a bunch of restaurants
around the world , but their vision as a company is to change the way people think about and eat fast
food, which they feel the other guys are not focusing on, (Van Tan, n.d.). With this mindset, Chipotle
believes there s certainly room for them to build that position in other countries as it has been
successful in the U.S., (Van Tan, n.d.). In the London market Chipotle followed the same model as in
the United States about the brand and its grassroots marketing efforts to the streamlined menu to the
assembly line operations, (Van Tan, n.d.). Chipotle executives views are that it doesn t need to be any
different going into Europe as it will all be the same. Chipotle is about simplicity, after all, (Van Tan,
n.d.). From the start the London store focused on building management potential in its own
employees. Management and personnel from the company travelled to London to open and train new
Chipotle team members how to do things the Chipotle way, (Van Tan, n.d.). Chipotle strives to
promote from within and with 80% of management staff coming from internal sources this is obvious,

Social Media s Impact On Public Relations
Social media forums have had a positive impact on the Public Relations industry in the twenty first
century. The massive increase in social media usage has provided a medium by which it is easier to
connect with a larger audience worldwide. This has resulted in an adoption of social media strategies
for many PR specialists. Sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram allow these specialists to keep
up with the public s opinions on current events as well as promote businesses or products. The public
relations industry is very different from advertising. While advertisers pay for exposure and visual
aids, PR specialists use language and conferences to earn the trust of the public. According to the
Public Relations Society of America Public relations is a strategic communication process that builds
mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics. PR specialists are image
shapers and storytellers that can be used to enhance, protect, and build reputations through any form
of media or self created production. If the news is bad, they formulate the best response to reduce the
damage. Their job is to create positive publicity for their client as well as enhance their reputation.
Public relations specialists over the years have had to stay on top of the changes in communication in
order to adapt for the sake of their business. Before all these new forms of media, the humble fax
machine was depended on to send press releases. Most early PR

Spanish American War Analysis
It is important to read historical accounts of other countries in regard to analyzing the Spanish
American War because it helps to paint a more full picture of what caused the war. From one
perspective only a partial story is told, which can seem bias or can be completely wrong. This is seen
in the Spanish American War from the perspective of Americans. It would seem that it is the Spanish s
fault for the destruction of the USS Maine, but once a different perspective is taken, it is realized that
the explosion came from the inside of the USS Maine. We know it came from the inside because the
hull of the wreckage is pointing outwards. This means the U.S. Maine was exploded intentionally to
spark conflict, meaning it wasn t the Spanish s fault.

How To Prevent Chromebook Persuasive Essay
Students think they are taking good care of their Chromebooks, but there is a rule getting in the way of
that. By allowing their batteries to completely deplete destorys the batteries inside. The lithium ion
batteries lose their ability to hold a charge as they age, and lose that ability even faster if they
completely die. New Chromebooks have an average battery life of 7 9 hours on full charge. However,
when that time decreases, they can barely last the 8 hour school day, with many over a year old dying
in 7th or 8th hour. Chargers should be allowed for Chromebooks over one year old during the day
because a Chromebook s battery life decreases as they are used more, and allowing their batteries to

how much they charged it. Others who do not go to school have the same problem, making it a

Hair By Hilma Contreras And Park Cinema
Hair by Hilma Contreras and Park Cinema by Elena Poniatowska are short stories rich in their context
as depicted through their characters. Both authors depict similar male protagonists with specific
differences. The resemblance amongst these two characters is made prevalent through the portrayal of
male weakness. The primary character flaw possessed by both male protagonists is obsession. Aside
from obsession, there are comparable themes carried throughout both short stories. Hair and Park
Cinema both incorporate motifs including, destruction of beauty, hate, lust, and most prevalently,
obsession. Although there are several similarities between the two male characters represented in each
story, the women, however portrayed differently. Both authors use married men who obsess over
unattainable women. The wives depicted in each story have different reactions to their husband s
obsessive conduct. Nonetheless, the obsessiveness covered in both short stories results in rage.
In Hair by Hilma Contreras, Luciano, a pharmacist expresses his vexation with a young girl, Natividad
s beautiful long chestnut hair. In the story, the theme of obsession is displayed by Luciano s fixation
with Natividad s hair, If he lifted his eyes from his work, the hair was there, on the street, on the
balcony, at the window, on the terrace. There came a moment when his mind was so disturbed by the
effect of the mass of hair, that the prescriptions he was filling made no sense (Contreras

for children? Although the exact ones will vary depending on the child? Introduction
Implants can restore or help with hearing in young children before they are too far behind in

There are used in children as young as one year of age. Doing the operation this early provides a
greater chance of the child catching up on speech and other areas of the development. But the age at
which each individual child receives an implant will depend on many factors. Children who have
additional health problems, who are underweight, or who have certain types of hearing loss may not
be eligible for implants temporarily or permanently Currently modern medical techniques have
resulted in the creation of many options that a person can use to compensate for a hearing deficit or
complete loss. The cochlear implant is placed directly into the ear and looks like a seashell shaped
organ in the inner ear lined with 30,000 hair cells. In a normal cochlea, the hair cells turn sound into
impulses that are sent to the brain where they are interpreted as speech, music, or other auditory
information about the world. In most deaf persons, auditory nerve fibers are intact, but the mechanism
to receive the information through the hair cells is absent. Thus, regular hearing aids are ineffective as
they typically only boost the amplitude of sound input. The cochlear implant is a wire that replaces a
person s missing hair cells, it wraps inside the cochlea and, attached to a small external computer
typically worn on the person s belt, also translates sound into impulses sent to a transmitter that relays
it back to the implant, that relays it to the brain. At this time, only one implant is being done per
person, as developers of the device have not perfected how to coordinate the operation of two implants
to provide accurate information relay to the

Measure Of Dispersion And Nonprofit Administration
Measure of Dispersion is a descriptive statistic that complements the measures of central tendency as
it indicates how data relates to a variable and its mean. As we examine the different types of measure
of dispersion within public and nonprofit administration, we will also cross examine this idea among
other academic disciplines to discover how this statistical concept is used among other researchers. In
addition, we will learn the importance of the proper utilization of identifying measures of dispersion
and how to fully explain this idea. This is important because if we fail to properly use the measures of
dispersion, we can jeopardize the reliability of our research and the validity of our data collected.
Measures of dispersion reveals to a researcher how parts of data may gather around the mean of the
variable of interest. Using measures of dispersion will also allow the researcher understand the
population or sample of interest to help researchers draw better conclusions. To understand measures
of dispersion, we must first identify the statistical concepts that help us measure dispersion. As we
progressed through primary and secondary schooling, we probably learned different mathematical
concepts such as mean, median, mode, and range. These mathematical concepts may be considered
easy mathematical concepts, but they are part of complex statistical ideas. Meier et al. (2015)
discusses in his textbook the usage of range and other variety of dispersion measures. He

Persuasive Essay For Physical Therapy
If anyone has ever played a sport or been in a competition, they know how it feels when they are stuck
on the sideline or on the bench while one knows they could be helping their team in the game. Nobody
wants to be injured and have that kind of feeling any longer than they have to. Every player wants to
get back to being healthy and on the hardwood or the pitch as fast as possible. Those feelings never go
away, and there is not many careers that one can pursue to keep that feeling. If one is not talented
enough to become a professional athlete, the opportunities are slim. One way to stay around the life an
athlete has been accustom to for so many years of their life, is to go into the field of sports physical
therapy. This helps a person be around the athletes and continue to benefit a team while still retaining
a stable career to support a family. Although physical therapy requires determination and the will to
see things through and to get things done, one who is planning a career in physical therapy will first
need a good education and degree. Also, one needs selflessness, respect, and accountability. Finally, a
physical therapist needs good leadership qualities to push patients in prevention and rehabilitation.
First of all, the education to become a physical therapist is expensive and prolonged, but in the end it
proves to be worth every bit. Physical therapy schooling is a very expensive program to go through.

A Short Note On Fernandopulle s Work Of Uninsured
Sered and Fernandopulle s work of Uninsured in America brings awareness to the tainted health care
system implemented by the United States. This book was completed in 2004 during the election year,
at the time George W. Bush became president, and speaks for over 40 million Americans that lack
basic health insurance. More than one hundred interviews were conducted with uninsured women,
men, and their families as well as with a number of wellness centers, health care providers, and policy
makers. Interviewee s situations were highlighted as they describe their personal gravitational pull into
death spirals as their diseases and conditions were left untreated, and their debt accumulated due to a
deprivation of health insurance. The authors directly denunciate the development of the caste of the ill,
infirm, and marginally employed to employment and health insurance. The authors state that, the
current American system in which health care is linked to employment is creating a caste of the
chronically ill, infirm, and marginally employed. (Sered and Fernandopulle, 2005, p. 15) They refer to
the working poor as part of this caste because of the long lasting immobility from the death spiral as
well as recognizable physical features usually due to occupational conditions. People of this caste take
on jobs that are part time. Part time work is both low paying and does not offer health insurance.

The Is Not Real And The World
In an ideal world, people would get along and live in peace. Unfortunately, this idea is not real and the
world is full of different forms of hate and discrimination. People are discriminated against based on
various things like race, religion, and sex. The Transgender community faces one of the highest
amounts of discrimination. This includes things like using a public restroom, going to a doctor s
office, insurance coverage, workplace, and traveling. First, utilizing public restrooms are a major
problem for transitioning individuals. In many states, like Kentucky, there have been numerous
attempts to pass laws that would force these individuals to use the bathroom that reflects the gender on
their birth certificate, which usually states the gender assigned at birth. This is a form of
discrimination due to the fact it would single out Trans individuals making them targets. It can be
assumed no one is going to bother a cisgender individual only those, they suspect of being
transgendered. For example, a transwoman who is just a few months into her hormones and has not
received Sexual Reassignment Surgery going into the women s restroom in a Walmart is stopped by
security and asked to prove her identity using her Identification that still says male. She will then be
charged for using the wrong restroom and forced to go to the boys bathroom where she has an
increased chance of being involved in a hate crime or sexual assault. This action is like painting a sign

Leadership is a subject examined for a long time in the interest to comprehend the point. It is an
intricate marvel, better concentrated on over a wide cluster of insightful fields. Regardless of what one

multidimensional subject that is best seen or concentrated on from the hypothesis point of view as

Film Form
Week 2 Film: The Wizard of Oz
FORM: is the sum of all parts of the film, unified and given shape by patterns such as repetition and
variation, story lines and character traits.
Film is not the product of a random collection of technical devices, but rather, it is a system
THE CONCEPT OF FORM IN A FILM
Artworks involve us by engaging our senses, feelings and mind in a process.
The artwork cues the spectator to perform a specific activity.
 Example: A poem s words may guide us to imagine a scene, to notice a break in rhythm or to expect
a rhyme
Like all artworks, film is not simply a random batch of elements, film has a form.
Film form is the overall system of relations that we can perceive among the elements in the ... Show

I.e. A characters sly expression may prepare us for the later revelation of their villainous side
A tragic event might be undercut by lighthearted music
 Emotional response felt by the spectator
Just as formal Conventions can make us suspend our normal sense of real life experience; form may
lead us to override our everyday emotional responses.
 People who we Despise in life may become spellbinding as characters
 Wizard of Oz: We might find the land of Oz much more appealing than Kansas, but because the
films form leads us to sympathize with Dorothy in her desire to go home, we feel satisfied when she
finally returns home to Kansas.
Expectation spurs emotion
 To have an expectation about what will happen is to incest some emotion in the situation.
Delayed fulfillment of an emotion (suspense), may produce anxiety or sympathy
Gratified expectations may create a feeling of relief
Form and Meaning
When we watch films, we re looking to attribute a deeper significance or meaning to the artwork as a
whole.
As spectators we develop meaning based upon the juxtaposition of images and sounds in the film, and
the way we perceive them is shaped by our own cultural social experiences.

Summary Of Hills Like White Elephants By Ernest Hemingway
Sabrina Good
English 102
Ms. Vetro
29 September 2015
Importance of Setting in Hills like White Elephants Ernest Hemingway s short story Hills like white
Elephants is a minimalistic story about a young American girl named Jig and her lover, an American
man. Throughout the story, Hemmingway uses an abundant amount of dialogue so the reader can
interpret that Jig and the man are contemplating some decision. Arguably, the setting is the most
important aspect of Hills like White Elephants , and Ernest Hemingway uses setting subtly but
effectively to emphasize the decision they are contemplating, which is abortion. Jig and the man are at
a train station in Barcelona across the Ebro River, drinking beers, and discussing frantically and
anxiously whether they should proceed with the abortion. Jig does not agree with having an abortion,
although she does not directly say so. The American, on the other hand, thinks that the abortion will be
the answer to their problems and tries to convince Jig of that. Hemingway highlights three elements of
the story s setting: the train station, the overbearing heat, and the contrasting sides of the valley, to
show the couple s conflict and the difficulties of resolving their decision. First, Hemingway uses a
train station as the setting to show that the man and Jig have a problem, and they are having a hard
time trying to solve this problem. Hemingway wants to emphasize that the man and Jig are at a
crossroad, because they are indecisive

Breaking Bad is the Single Dominating Modern-day...
When it comes to shows on television today, many of the series that air aren t anything to go crazy
over, yet this definitely isn t the case for creator Vince Gilligan s, Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad follows
the life of Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston), an ordinary high school chemistry teacher. With
a loving wife and teenage son at home, over time, Walter has formed an exceedingly mundane routine
for his life. After soon discovering that he had been diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer, Walter
decided to take extreme measures in order to secure his family financially: he would descend into a
world so dark and so utterly twisted, that it would eventually consume him. Walter White became

From Outstanding Lead Actor to Outstanding Supporting Actress the dozens of awards the series crew
was able to wrack up serves as a clear indicator that Vince Gilligan did a noteworthy job of selecting a
first rate line of actors and actresses. By doing so, he was able to successfully execute the vision he
sought out for Breaking Bad. As viewers watch addicting episode after addicting episode, the show
progresses to straddle a line of reality and, Is that really happening? With countless events occurring
within the series that appear to be too grotesque or twisted to even be possible, viewers must keep in
mind that many of the tactful operations Breaking Bad s protagonist executed were backed with
science. In aims to retain a factor of realistic science throughout the series, Gilligan employed several
science advisers. These advisers aided writers in implementing accurate scientific terminology in their
scripts, assisted set builders in creating functional laboratories for meth cooking, and guided Gilligan
as he built his storyline to weasel Walter and Jesse out of trouble by utilizing science. Although some
scenes had a tendency to exaggerate the discipline for dramatic purposes, a baseline of science is
always discernible. Breaking Bad s ability to exploit the field of science by dissolving human bodies
in acid, inducing unexplainable death through ricin administration, and employing phosphine gas to
kill off drug dealers, are realistic

Summary Of The Movie Doctor Strange
Giselle October 10, 2017 Movie Review Essay FD The movie Doctor Strange is about a
neurosurgeon, named Stephen Strange, who becomes an amazing and powerful hero, after he was in a
car accident that brought serious injury to his hands. The movie opens with a scene of Dr. Strange
performing surgeries with Dr. Christine Palmer, his friend throughout his typical work day. The
importance of these first scenes is to show how important his hands are to him and the people around
him. This scene is also important because it seems as though Strange has a love interest in Christine.
During one of Strange s surgeries he successfully extracts a bullet from a man s brain and afterwards
he is shown celebrating his success in the hallway of the hospital. This scene is relevant because it
shows how much pride Strange has in himself and how much he believes that he can do anything.
When the viewer gets to the beginning of the movie we are shown Strange s extravagant apartment
and the physical things he values. It appears that Strange has a nice life until he gets into a horrendous
car accident while on his way to a party. Strange gets in an accident because he is trying to diagnose a
patient from his car s touch screen and swerves off the side of a mountain. This accident caused
Strange to lose half his function of his hands and he soon becomes frustrated. This new predicament in
Strange s life causes him to look for extreme and experimental ways to try to fix his hands. He

Can A Patient Take Medication If There Is No Medical...
Can A Patient Be Forced to Take Medication If There Is No Medical Emergency? In this case, the
patient John Rennie, a former pilot, had been in and out of mental health facilities in the state of New
Jersey since his twin brother died in 1973 in an airplane accident. Between 1973 and 1977 he had been
treated both inpatient and outpatient, numerous times, per the court record, at least 11 times. He had
been diagnosed with various mental health issues which included paranoia, schizophrenia, and manic
depression. He had even suffered from delusions and had made threats to kill the President. During the
series of treatments, Rennie would occasionally refuse to take the prescribed medication given to him
by the treatment staff. The record also indicated that during his treatment Rennie had been in frequent
fights with other patients as well as the staff, and had gone through suicidal and delusional stages. In
1977, Rennie filed a suit in the New Jersey Circuit Court, against the Ancora Psychiatric Hospital,
arguing that the treatment being forced upon him violated his right to privacy. The ruling, in that case,
was that although a patient had the right to refuse treatment, certain circumstances can take priority
above that the rights of the patient. The court mentioned the following considerations; 1) Is the patient
a danger to either themselves, other patients or to the staff at the institution? 2) Does the patient posed

Literature Review Cooperative Communication
CHAPTER 3 COOPERATIVE COMMUNICATION
Background
We have introduced a new form of diversity for the concept of mobile communications system of
cooperation. Cooperation by mobile phone users for each user is assigned. Cooperation can be
considered as a new form of space diversity, antenna diversity in the transmission process, however,
and other complications, Intermobiles noisy channels, each phone has sent a separate message. (W. Yu

According to Cover and El Gamal (1979), a good performance in wireless communications Multiple
Input Multiple Output (MIMO) has drawn attention. The benefits of MIMO communication has been
widely recognized, as it offers a significant increase in performance and range of data offline or
additional bandwidth to transmit power. (Cover and El Gamal, 1979) By increasing the speed and

Teaching Strategies For Students With Multiple Ability Groups
There are a number of teaching strategies a teacher can employ when teaching year 6 fractions
including whole class discussion, lectures, brainstorming and questioning. Coupled with tailored
instruction to suit differing abilities, it is possible for the teacher to cater for students with low,
average and high ability. This essay will explore these strategies and approaches to demonstrate how a
class of 24 year 6 students with ranging abilities can learn fractions in same ability groups. The essay
will highlight evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness of same ability groupings and the importance
of group size and identify and explain different teaching strategies that will facilitate student learning
and encourage students from all ability groups. The essay will end with a detailed timeline where
activities and lessons related to teaching fractions are explored demonstrating how each group is
catered for.
The class will be divided into 6 groups of 4 according to ability. Based on the pre test data, the groups
will be identified as high ability, average and low ability. High achieving students will be those who
have demonstrated ability in 8 or more of the 11 fraction topics in the pre test. The low achievers will
be those students who showed they were competent in 4 or less topics, while the average students will
be those who achieved 5 to 7 of the topics covered in the pre test. The 6 groups will be comprised of 2

information surfaced that suggested that the evidence in the two previous trials had been tampered

Health Benefits Of Swimming
Ancient drawings and paintings found in Egypt depicting people swimming date back to 2500 BCE.
Little did the egyptians know how big the sport of swimming would become. Benjamin Franklin
invented swimming fins, the first diving board in England was at Highgate Ponds in 1893, swimming
became an olympic sport in 1896, swimming in the olympics began as a mens only competition and in
1912 women were allowed to participate. Not only did swimming become a big deal, it became such
an important sport. Swimming is the most beneficial sport because it meets the need of physical and
mental health, social encouragement, and personal preferences.
Primarily, swimming has excellent health benefits. Swimming is such an amazing sport to help
manage weight. One can burn up to 367 calories after just 30 minutes of relaxed breastroke. Believe it
or not, that beats walking, cycling, and even running. Swimming is a full body workout. From the
moment you dive into the pool to begin swimming laps, every muscle in your bod is challenged.
Butterfly, backstroke, breastroke, and freestyle are using all the muscles from head to toe. The upper
body muscles that are used include the pectorals, deltoids, biceps, triceps, and wrist flexors. The lower
body muscles include the calves, quads, hamstrings, and glutes. Having strong muscles doesn t just
have cosmetic benefits. Having strong muscles help control weight, avoid chronic health conditions,
and build a strong heart. Swimming does not only affect

The Causes Of The Tiananmen Square Protest Of 1989
On June 5, 1989, soldiers and tanks from China s People s Liberation Army physically oppressed the
student led protesters. The events surrounding this day are referred to as the Tiananmen Square Protest
of 1989, a democracy movement calling for political and social reforms in the Republic of China. The
deaths that occurred as a consequence of the Tiananmen Square Protest was not the fault of the
students, but rather, the disastrous situation of China beforehand, the common belief that
demonstrations would succeed, and the government s obstinate decisions. China was already suffering
from harsh living conditions prior to the massacre, in which these conditions pushed the students to
act. To begin with, the country had been under intense economic pressure. After changing into a
capitalist based economy, the economy increasing changed due to rising inflation, declining wages,
and rising unemployment rates. To complicate things, the government deregulated prices of many
products. The Chinese feared inflation would occur with the removal of price controls, and used all
their savings to purchase items ahead of time. As a result, the biggest department store sold two
hundred times its usual monthly income. Labour unrest grew, and between 20 to 30 million were laid
off in state enterprises that year. By 1989, people were ready for political reforms. Even though China
s economy was growing, there were strict limitations on daily aspects of one s life. The rising inflation

When Acetic Acid Meets The Criteria Of The Commercial Law
Introduction
In this experiment, you measure the acid concentration and determine if the acetic acid meets the
criteria of the commercial law. The titration of vinegar has a solution composed of acetic acid
(HC2H3O2), water and other substances. When adding sodium hydroxide (basic solution) to acetic
acid (acid) it causes a neutralization reaction. The phenolphthalein is colorless in acid, and it will
change color when adding the sodium hydroxide. In this experiment, there were four trials to reach the
amount of sodium hydroxide needed to reach the end point. When you reach the end point of the
experiment, the solution should be pink and if the solution is purple then it is over titrated.
Discussion
First, you make sure all of the liquid (water) is emptied out of the buret. Next, you fill the buret with
sodium hydroxide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When pouring the NaOH in a flask, a drop of NaOH could be the difference of reaching the accurate
measurement to titrate the vinegar sample or you can over titrate the vinegar sample.
Questions
4. If the titrated standard NaOH, in the flask against vinegar, in the buret, instead of the way you
actually performed the titration, how would you have recognized the end point with phenolphthalein
indicator? Would carrying out the titration in this manner change your calculated results or
conclusions?
If the titration uses a phenolphthalein as an indicator, then its end point would always be recognized
when the solution is pink.
5. Why is it a good idea to rinse the buret with the NaOH solution, instead of with water, before filling
it at start of the titration?
If you rinse the buret with water, there is still plenty of proton remaining and there shouldn t be any
water left in the buret. If so, NaOH solution would be less as stronger than presumed. You wouldn t
get the accurate result because the solution would be diluted. It would hard to determine the correct
concentration of the

Suicide And Suicide
While awareness of suicide and its rippling effect on the community is increasing, much of the
research into the psychological impact of those exposed to death by suicide has been focused on
adults.
Which is why top academic and suicide postvention expert, Karl Andriessen has focused his PhD
project at the University of New South Wales, on investigating the grief, mental health and help
seeking experiences of adolescents who have lost a loved one through suicide.
The study, supported by the Anika Foundation for Adolescent Depression and Suicide, identifies the
adolescents experiences, which may be specific for this age group, to determine whether they require
specific attention from caregivers or health professionals.
It is well known that exposure to suicide and bereavement after suicide is a risk factor for adverse
outcomes related to health, mental health and social functioning, says Mr Andriessen.
We started this research project because most of the research has been focused on the adult population,
not on the younger age groups.
Hence, little is known about their grief and mental experiences, and their needs for support.
The study aims to redress that gap in our knowledge.
The project involved semi structured telephone interviews with 39 adolescents bereaved by suicide
and/or another cause of death.
During the interview participants talked about their relationship with the person they had lost, feelings
and needs at time of death, support sought

  • 2. Globalization And Its Impact On The World The Past Globalization, it could be argued, began when tribes first realized there were other tribes in the surrounding areas. With different specialties and skills, these groups began to trade. While these groups may not have been very geographically separated, the available world was expanding as more and more people groups began to connect and interact. Landmarks in the development of globalization can be traced through history: from the exchange of both goods and knowledge on the silk roads and the discovery of the Americas to the inventions of the steam engine and the telegraph (Free Exchange, 2013). Through these milestones, the world was growing in terms of awareness, but shrinking in terms of ability to travel, trade, and share ideas. In a form that is more recognizable today, globalization began as the world began to open in waves, or rather a tsunami, as Harold Sirkin and his colleagues theorize in Globality. Globality is the next step after globalization; it is the new reality in which companies will be competing with everyone, from everywhere, for everything (Sirkin, Hemerling, Bhattacharya, 2008, p. 1). There are a multitude of factors that have created the conditions for globality to occur. There have been many waves of globalization, like those that brought Japan, Mexico, Korea, and many other nations into the world arena. Unlike these waves of varying size, the tsunami is a series of low, powerful waves caused by an undersea disruption that crash ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Too Much Crying isn t a Good Thing Crying is undoubtedly one of the most common humanistic features when it comes to the emotions of the average person, due to the fact that every human being has shed tears for which ever reasons their emotions led them to. However, crying can also be the result of many other issues and can indicate a serious problem if done continuously and drastically to the point where it becomes a serious concern. In adolescents, it is more normal to cry as the child may not understand or know what to do about a situation, leaving them flustered, agitated, sad, angry, or any negative emotion causing them to cry. With these things being said, when crying is understood to be the result of an underlying deep rooted issue, the next step is to understand the enforcer that is keeping the behavior of crying continuous and figure out exactly how to decrease it to the point of normality. Crying has also yet to be examined systematically in isolation from other problem behavior, such as aggression or tantrums, during functional analyses (Hanley, Iwata, McCord, 2003). Identification of variables that may maintain crying is especially important for populations who are susceptible to psychiatric interventions (e.g., individuals who have intellectual disabilities and communication deficits). The current study extended functional analysis methodology to crying with an adolescent boy who had been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities. Results suggested that crying was maintained by caregiver ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. My Views On Spiritual Activism Essay As an activist, I am seeking to build a better world. A world for all people and all other forms of life. I want to build a world where all life is respected and where suffering due to oppression is eradicated. However, I have learned that I cannot build that world if I am not internalizing these ideas. As an activist, I must be vigilant in the ways in which I interact with the people around me. Engaging in a spiritual practice offered a unique insight into spiritual activism. I heard parts of myself for the very first time and gained insight to where I am on my spiritual journey. Furthermore, I was able to connect this new knowledge with my everyday life and work to better myself. I was fortunate enough to have an experience within this project that allowed me to enact change within myself and another individual. This experience was not only transformative, but vital to my growth and has inspired me to go forward within this work. Learning about spiritual activism firsthand has shaped my views on enacting change within my own community. Aside from an overwhelming feeling of pride within this work, I created a newfound relationship with myself that I will continue to nurture. Through mirror scrying I became more aware of myself, my place in my community, and the ways in which spiritual activism is beneficial in my pursuit to build a better world. The practice of mirror scrying is a form of divination with various roots including mention in Hebrew faith, North American Native ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Retention of Title Law essay Sally agrees to sell 1,000 tons of polyester fiber to Barry at $10 a ton. She delivers 500 tons under a contract which expressly provides: ...the ownership of the goods shall remain with the Seller which reserves the right to dispose of the goods until payment in full for all goods supplied has been received by it or until such time as the buyer sells the goods to its customers by way of bona fide sale at full market value. The buyer pays $2500 but subsequently becomes insolvent and unable further to perform the contract. Of the 500 tons delivered, 300 tons is still at Barry s premises unsold and unused but is now worth $4,000, instead of $3,000 as it was at the time of the contract of sale. Sally repossesses the whole ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is quite clear that with the retention of title clause (i.e. The ownership of the material to be delivered by AIV (the plaintiffs) will only be transferred to purchaser when he has met all that is owning to AIV, no matter on what grounds. ), the plaintiff are the owners of the remaining unsold aluminium foil held by the receiver, and that they are entitled to an order for its delivery up to them. Therefore, with the similar facts compared with the case study, it is reasonable to say that Sally s claim for repossession of the whole 300 tons of unsold polyester fibre regardless the material has been used or not should be prevailed. The real question arose in this case is whether Sally is entitled to the other 200 tons and be able to trace the proceeds of the sub sales. In the Romalpa case, Mocatta J held that Aluminium Industrie Vaasen was still the owner, and could trace the price due to them into the proceeds of sale of the finished goods, ahead of Romalpa s unsecured and secured creditors. He said that the preservation of ownership clause contains unusual and fairly elaborate provisions departing substantially from the debtor/creditor relationship and shows, in my view, the intention to create a fiduciary relationship to which the principle stated in Re Hallett s Estate applies. From this perspective, the same judgment may be held for the Sally since the clause in the contract also shows an intention to create a fiduciary relationship. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Gorbachev Imperialism Leonid Brezhnev and Mikhail Gorbachev were Soviet leaders in the late 1900s. They had similarities and differences as leaders. First of all, Brezhnev, a hard nosed communist, cared a lot about communist countries because the Soviet Union had the right to intervene if communism was threatened in other communist state. On the other hand, Gorbachev had no intention in communist countries. A foreign policy under Gorbachev was not very strong. However, the economy in the Soviet Union under both Brezhnev and Gorbachev was bad. According to Brezhnev, the government s central planning led to a huge and complex bureaucracy, collective farmers had no incentive to work hard, and there were high standard of living. Also, under Gorbachev, the economic issues led to a slow down in the arms race. It tripled the national debt in US and the cost of maintaining satellite states and an enormous military budget under communism were too high that they would not afford it. Furthermore, due to the ethnic tensions and allowing non communist political party to organize, one by one the Soviet Republics voted for independence and finally led to a fall of communism in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. 4. The fall of the Soviet Union impacted several satellite states. Czechoslovakia and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The author, Julia Galeota makes three points against cultural imperialism in her essay. The first point is that many cultures are disappearing due to the overwhelming influence of American tradition. I refute to this statement because they are just smaller and less influential than American culture. It is quite exaggerated to say that other cultures are disappearing. For instance, four years ago, a Korean song called Gangnam Style struck the whole world with its catchy rhythm, dance and funny music video. It even took second on the Billboard. This shows that other cultures still have a chance to beat American culture. American culture never stopped other cultures to spread or stand on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Children who have additional health problems, who are underweight, or who have certain types of hearing loss may not be eligible for implants temporarily or permanently Currently modern medical techniques have resulted in the creation of many options that a person can use to compensate for a hearing deficit or complete loss. The cochlear implant is placed directly into the ear and looks like a seashell shaped organ in the inner ear lined with 30,000 hair cells. In a normal cochlea, the hair cells turn sound into impulses that are sent to the brain where they are interpreted as speech, music, or other auditory information about the world. In most deaf persons, auditory nerve fibers are intact, but the mechanism to receive the information through the hair cells is absent. Thus, regular hearing aids are ineffective as they typically only boost the amplitude of sound input. The cochlear implant is a wire that replaces a person s missing hair cells, it wraps inside the cochlea and, attached to a small external computer typically worn on the person s belt, also translates sound into impulses sent to a transmitter that relays it back to the implant, that relays it to the brain. Measure Of Dispersion And Nonprofit Administration Measure of Dispersion is a descriptive statistic that complements the measures of central tendency as it indicates how data relates to a variable and its mean. As we examine the different types of measure of dispersion within public and nonprofit administration, we will also cross examine this idea among other academic disciplines to discover how this statistical concept is used among other researchers. In addition, we will learn the importance of the proper utilization of identifying measures of dispersion and how to fully explain this idea. This is important because if we fail to properly use the measures of dispersion, we can jeopardize the reliability of our research and the validity of our data collected. Measures of dispersion reveals to a researcher how parts of data may gather around the mean of the variable of interest. Using measures of dispersion will also allow the researcher understand the population or sample of interest to help researchers draw better conclusions. To understand measures of dispersion, we must first identify the statistical concepts that help us measure dispersion. As we progressed through primary and secondary schooling, we probably learned different mathematical concepts such as mean, median, mode, and range. This book was completed in 2004 during the election year, at the time George W. Bush became president, and speaks for over 40 million Americans that lack basic health insurance. More than one hundred interviews were conducted with uninsured women, men, and their families as well as with a number of wellness centers, health care providers, and policy makers. Interviewee s situations were highlighted as they describe their personal gravitational pull into death spirals as their diseases and conditions were left untreated, and their debt accumulated due to a deprivation of health insurance. The authors directly denunciate the development of the caste of the ill, infirm, and marginally employed to employment and health insurance. The authors state that, the current American system in which health care is linked to employment is creating a caste of the chronically ill, infirm, and marginally employed. (Sered and Fernandopulle, 2005, p. 15) They refer to the working poor as part of this caste because of the long lasting immobility from the death spiral as well as recognizable physical features usually due to occupational conditions. Summary Of Hills Like White Elephants By Ernest Hemingway Sabrina Good English 102 Ms. Vetro 29 September 2015 Importance of Setting in Hills like White Elephants Ernest Hemingway s short story Hills like white Elephants is a minimalistic story about a young American girl named Jig and her lover, an American man. Throughout the story, Hemmingway uses an abundant amount of dialogue so the reader can interpret that Jig and the man are contemplating some decision. Arguably, the setting is the most important aspect of Hills like White Elephants , and Ernest Hemingway uses setting subtly but effectively to emphasize the decision they are contemplating, which is abortion. Jig and the man are at a train station in Barcelona across the Ebro River, drinking beers, and discussing frantically and anxiously whether they should proceed with the abortion. Jig does not agree with having an abortion, although she does not directly say so. The American, on the other hand, thinks that the abortion will be the answer to their problems and tries to convince Jig of that. Hemingway highlights three elements of the story s setting: the train station, the overbearing heat, and the contrasting sides of the valley, to show the couple s conflict and the difficulties of resolving their decision. First, Hemingway uses a train station as the setting to show that the man and Jig have a problem, and they are having a hard time trying to solve this problem. In this case, the patient John Rennie, a former pilot, had been in and out of mental health facilities in the state of New Jersey since his twin brother died in 1973 in an airplane accident. Between 1973 and 1977 he had been treated both inpatient and outpatient, numerous times, per the court record, at least 11 times. He had been diagnosed with various mental health issues which included paranoia, schizophrenia, and manic depression. He had even suffered from delusions and had made threats to kill the President. During the series of treatments, Rennie would occasionally refuse to take the prescribed medication given to him by the treatment staff. The record also indicated that during his treatment Rennie had been in frequent fights with other patients as well as the staff, and had gone through suicidal and delusional stages. In 1977, Rennie filed a suit in the New Jersey Circuit Court, against the Ancora Psychiatric Hospital, arguing that the treatment being forced upon him violated his right to privacy. The ruling, in that case, was that although a patient had the right to refuse treatment, certain circumstances can take priority above that the rights of the patient. The court mentioned the following considerations; 1) Is the patient a danger to either themselves, other patients or to the staff at the institution? 2) Does the patient posed the mental ability to determine the best method of ... • 37. The Causes Of The Tiananmen Square Protest Of 1989 On June 5, 1989, soldiers and tanks from China s People s Liberation Army physically oppressed the student led protesters. The events surrounding this day are referred to as the Tiananmen Square Protest of 1989, a democracy movement calling for political and social reforms in the Republic of China. The deaths that occurred as a consequence of the Tiananmen Square Protest was not the fault of the students, but rather, the disastrous situation of China beforehand, the common belief that demonstrations would succeed, and the government s obstinate decisions. China was already suffering from harsh living conditions prior to the massacre, in which these conditions pushed the students to act. To begin with, the country had been under intense economic pressure. After changing into a capitalist based economy, the economy increasing changed due to rising inflation, declining wages, and rising unemployment rates. To complicate things, the government deregulated prices of many products. The Chinese feared inflation would occur with the removal of price controls, and used all their savings to purchase items ahead of time. As a result, the biggest department store sold two hundred times its usual monthly income. Labour unrest grew, and between 20 to 30 million were laid off in state enterprises that year. By 1989, people were ready for political reforms. Even though China s economy was growing, there were strict limitations on daily aspects of one s life. The rising inflation and ... • 38. When Acetic Acid Meets The Criteria Of The Commercial Law Introduction In this experiment, you measure the acid concentration and determine if the acetic acid meets the criteria of the commercial law. The titration of vinegar has a solution composed of acetic acid (HC2H3O2), water and other substances. When adding sodium hydroxide (basic solution) to acetic acid (acid) it causes a neutralization reaction. The phenolphthalein is colorless in acid, and it will change color when adding the sodium hydroxide. In this experiment, there were four trials to reach the amount of sodium hydroxide needed to reach the end point. When you reach the end point of the experiment, the solution should be pink and if the solution is purple then it is over titrated. Discussion First, you make sure all of the liquid (water) is emptied out of the buret. Next, you fill the buret with sodium hydroxide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When pouring the NaOH in a flask, a drop of NaOH could be the difference of reaching the accurate measurement to titrate the vinegar sample or you can over titrate the vinegar sample. Questions 4. If the titrated standard NaOH, in the flask against vinegar, in the buret, instead of the way you actually performed the titration, how would you have recognized the end point with phenolphthalein indicator? Would carrying out the titration in this manner change your calculated results or conclusions? If the titration uses a phenolphthalein as an indicator, then its end point would always be recognized when the solution is pink. 5. Why is it a good idea to rinse the buret with the NaOH solution, instead of with water, before filling it at start of the titration? If you rinse the buret with water, there is still plenty of proton remaining and there shouldn t be any water left in the buret. If so, NaOH solution would be less as stronger than presumed. You wouldn t get the accurate result because the solution would be diluted. It would hard to determine the correct concentration of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Suicide And Suicide While awareness of suicide and its rippling effect on the community is increasing, much of the research into the psychological impact of those exposed to death by suicide has been focused on adults. Which is why top academic and suicide postvention expert, Karl Andriessen has focused his PhD project at the University of New South Wales, on investigating the grief, mental health and help seeking experiences of adolescents who have lost a loved one through suicide. The study, supported by the Anika Foundation for Adolescent Depression and Suicide, identifies the adolescents experiences, which may be specific for this age group, to determine whether they require specific attention from caregivers or health professionals. It is well known that exposure to suicide and bereavement after suicide is a risk factor for adverse outcomes related to health, mental health and social functioning, says Mr Andriessen. We started this research project because most of the research has been focused on the adult population, not on the younger age groups. Hence, little is known about their grief and mental experiences, and their needs for support. The study aims to redress that gap in our knowledge. The project involved semi structured telephone interviews with 39 adolescents bereaved by suicide and/or another cause of death. During the interview participants talked about their relationship with the person they had lost, feelings and needs at time of death, support sought ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
