I went to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Santa Rosa, California. The church is
located in the old movie theater in downtown Santa Rosa. I parked in a nearby parking garage,
grateful for the free parking on Sunday, and walked down the street toward the church. I knew
that I had arrived at the correct place because of the large granite sign with the name Unitarian
Universalist Congregation Santa Rosa. There were many people standing outside talking to one
another. I was immediately greeted by a church member who welcomed me and showed me to
the main entrance. As I walked through the door, I noticed a rainbow flag above the main
entrance, and could not help but begin thinking of the differences between this church and the

walls. They were not of gods or deities, but of ethnic minorities who had lived in the local

I also noticed that all of them seemed to enjoy what they were doing, or at least that was the
impression they were making.
Over the course of the observation, I notice that there were three types of interactions between the
workers: professional, strictly related to a work question; personal/friendly, showing a tighter
connection between each other; and interactions based on avoidance, when workers interacted only
for a couple of seconds, with almost no communication.
There were a couple of instances when I observed professional interactions between employees; the
interesting fact is that most of them happened between persons with different cultures. For example
there was a Latino white male that had a conversation with an African American woman, the male
was explaining and showing her something on a computer. Their attitude was distant, which could
be explained by employment rules like sexual harassment. There was a space between them that
suggested the fact that they knew each other but did not engage in other conversations outside
work. Their voice tone suggested a that there was no power distance, however I felt a certain level
of intimidation in the voice of the female, which I believe to be because of the fact that she asked
for help in the computer situation.

Narrative because it is telling the story of life throughout the poem. This title is not obvious to what
the poem is about because he uses metaphors and symbolism. Due to this the title isnt literal.
Although in the poem there aren t any phrases repeated, the word gold is said many times.
Seasons are passing during the time of this poem. It starts with Spring but once he says, then leaf

Along the lines of fantasy versus reality, this is undoubtedly reality. He talks about childhood fading

Bitter sweet is how Robert Frost expresses the tone of his poem. He is explaining how wonderful
it is when you hang onto your gold but, also narrates how difficult it is for it to stay. For the reader
s mood is sad, as they are sorry for mother nature and understand how innocent childhood was.
Therefore the mood is making the readers feel unhappy.
Youth and nature are both equal themes in this poem because if you take the poem literally it is
perfectly describing nature bt once you dig around it is also clearly describing youth and how you
cant keep it. The personification in this peice helps hide distinguished lines between literal and
figurtive meanings in this poem.

The late humorist, Erma Bombeck (1927 1996) once said, Children make your life important. I
wonder if, when Ms. Bombeck made this claim, she had young children still at home. When my
children were young, they needed much more of my time, which created in me a feeling of
importance; however, as my children became adults, they needed less of my time. When they
were young, my home was always busy and noisy, and I loved it. As the kids grew up, began
working, became more independent, and eventually started moving out, I was left with extra time
on my hands. With fewer people in a home, there were certainly fewer dishes to wash and less
laundry to run. A few years ago, when this transition began, less of my time was spent cleaning,
cooking, and rearing children. With more free time, I had a tendency to worry, and I felt lonely and
sort of stuck in the house. I noticed my anxiety levels creeping up. I looked forward to weekends
when my husband would be home with me and I had someone to socialize with. Enter my mid

about 90 to 180 days which can substitute a jail term of about 10 years. However the equation of
boot camp term and the jail term substituted usually varies with the boot camp facility and the
