Essay On What Role Did George Washington Play In...
George Washington became the first president of the United States in 1789, and Thomas Jefferson
became the third president of the United States in 1801, shortly after. The United States of America
was a brand new country and there were still quite a few kinks to solve in the government.
Establishing a stable government was important for a baby country like the United States, and
George Washington and Thomas Jeffersonhelped do that during both presidential terms. George
Washington played a large role in implementing a strong and secure government through many
parts of his presidency. As soon as George Washington was appointed to being President and sworn
into office, the first members in Congress were also elected to begin their duties. Immediately...

As soon as Thomas Jefferson began his journey as the President of the United States, Jefferson
brought an end to the Alien and Sedition Acts, brought forth by John Adams. The passing of the
Alien and Sedition Acts by John Adams and the rest of the Federalist party caused hostility toward
the government, so with the termination of the acts, the government began to regain its calmness.
Jefferson also bought the Louisiana Purchase in presidency term. The Louisiana Purchase, bought
from France at the total cost of $15 million, encouraged the citizens of the United States to expand
west. The expansion caused the economy to flourish, making the government more financially
stable. Jefferson also created a democratic non aristocratic government. The idea was that in order
to be a better government, the government should govern less, so that is what the government did.
This form of government made sure that not one person rose to absolute power and in doing so, it
kept the interests of the people in mind, so the people were happy. Another accomplishment of
Thomas Jefferson s presidency was the death of the Federalist party. Seeing as the government no
longer was divided, it was more stable. Thomas Jefferson s eradication of the Alien and Sedition
Acts caused more stability in the government through ending the hostility the acts were bringing to
the people. Because of the end of the Alien and Sedition Acts, the people were less hostile, which
caused the government to become more stable. When Jefferson purchased the Louisiana Purchase,
it caused many people to spread out west. The buying of the Louisiana Purchase contributed to the
stability of the American government by bringing forth financial aid as the economy thrived. The
creation of the democratic non aristocratic government made the government more stable because
the people of the United States were happy and

Implementing Alternate Technologies Improve The Power...
IMPLEMENTING ALTERNATE TECHNOLOGIES TO IMPROVE THE POWER HANDLING
CAPACITY OF ALL Si MEMS PHASE SHIFTERS
Abstract: This proposal paper analyze and suggest the alternate methods to reduce the heat
dissipation and power consumption of MEMS phase shifters while they are being used in the real
time environment i.e., in a closed loop operation. So many advancements in the MEMS technology
make the MEMS production very effective, but still there are some drawbacks in its structure and
in its performance, which pulls the system efficiency to down. Self and mutual inductions are the
two major run time defects which affects the performances of the MEMS devices and increases its
power consumption when there is a physical data link between two blocks. If the proper steps are
taken then, the measurement results can range up to 40dBm at 75 GHz or even more. Hence by
using alternate methods for the communication between the two blocks using PIC 16f778
controller we can reduce the temperature rise in all Si phase shifters, which is 20 30 times lesser
than the conventional MEMS phase shifters. Also by implementing this idea we can reduce the
fabrication cost and we can make a great revolution in the field of embedded systems.
Key terms: Microwave, phase shifters, optic fiber, radio frequency micro electro mechanical
systems.

Comparing Hesse s Siddhartha And Kallu
In the novel Siddhartha, there were many symbols and connection that gave the readers more
insights in the novel. Throughout the story, themes of the novel were thoughtful and life
experience. There were many significant themes that were similar between Siddhartha and short
story Kallu . A significant connection that stood out in Siddharthaand Kallu was the sacrifice of
each story. This stood out the most because both the story line characters sacrifice the most in
their stories. In the artwork, the picture illustrates a man raising his arms up sacrificing his life for
what he knew was right for him and society. Neighbors were looking around and saw what he was

accept the fact that his son would leave his caste to find enlightenment, Siddhartha said to him

wait .(11). Siddhartha demonstrated and proved to his father that he was willing to wait for his
father to accept him to find enlightenment. This also proves that Siddhartha was willing to
sacrifice growing old and dying just to make himself happy, but also sacrificing the relationship
he had with his father. Siddhartha showed that after he left, instructed by the eldest of the
shramanas, Siddhartha practiced moving away from the self, practice meditation, ... (14). He
knew that he would never come back and that from that point he was focused and dedicated
toward his goal. In the short story Kallu, the main character Kallu was an Indian young child

Nursing and The Organizational Culture of Human Resource...
Organizational culture can play a very important role in any corporation s success. As we learn
more about how to make a company more successful through effective management of Human
Resource, we are learning of the value of people, as a whole, and how they contribute to the
success or failure of an organization. That s even more so true with in healthcare organizations.
Nurses play a pivotal role in the health care profession and make up the majority of healthcare
workers in a hospital setting. However, there is a nursing shortage globally that is expected to
increase as nurses from the baby boom era are set to retire. This is where human resource

as a whole.
II.Literature Review
Culture, as defined by Florea, Goldbach, Goldbach (2011), is essential, as it affects service quality,
organizational productivity, and financial results. This occurs even more so in a hospital setting, an
area in which cultures vary within the healthcare providers and their patients. The literature on
organizational culture and its impact on nurses and the healthcare system are increasing in
frequency due to the increase in cultural variety noted in healthcare organizations. According to the
article, Improving Hospital Performance through Organizational Culture (2011), many prior
researchers believed that organizational culture had potential effects on employee motivation and
behavior. They believed that it affected employees productivity, performance, commitment, self
confidence and ethical behavior and many have tested the validity of this theory by researching and
studying the organizational cultures within several industries. Prior research has showed that there
is a link between excellent cultural organization and overall employee performance. Chee, Kamal,
Wingender (2011) decided to conduct a study of their own to determine how organizational culture

Labyrinth Of Suffering Analysis
How do we get out of this labyrinth of suffering? It s a simple question to ask, but the answer is
one not quite so easy to search out and uncover. You d be more likely to discover a bag of dusty,
old dinosaur bones in your backyard before you could uncover the answer to that question. In order
to answer the questionat hand, you must first understand three things. One; a labyrinth is a maze
leading you through Hell and back, filled with false paths, twists, and turns don t get lost. Two; as
long you let even a single thought prance throughout your head for too long whether it be good or
bad your mind will be completely and utterly chaotic. And three; to find your way out of the
labyrinth, you must first learn to forgive.

One of the most widely used post workout supplements is a protein shake. The typical whey
protein shake contains twenty four grams of protein. While chocolate milk contains only eight
grams. In an eight ounce glass of chocolate milk there are approximately two hundred calories. A
protein shake has 120 calories. A single serving of chocolate milk contains five grams of fat, three
of which are saturated fats. The whey protein shake contains one total gram of fat. Both drinks
offer many health benefits but, as a post workout supplement a protein shake would be the best
choice. When it comes to workout drinks, it is best to look for something with lots of glycogen and
protein. The common exercise routine breaks down muscle mass. The muscles in the human body
need protein to remain firm, and glycogen to replenish the cells within them. Supplements should
be consumed two hours following a workout. Dairy products are not recommended as a
replacement for post workout supplements because they can cause vomiting and diarrhea.
Therefore, chocolate milk would not be the best to use after physical activity. Although many
people prefer post workout protein shakes, it depends on the athlete s preference. Exercise is
rigorous and causes the body to loose many electrolytes through sweat. Powerade and Gatorade are
the most common electrolyte replenishing sports drinks. Although these beverages help to repair
the body, they are less helpful than chocolate milk.

Banking Regulation Basel II
Procyclicality in minimum regulatory capital charges for credit risk
There is a vast amount of literature available on the additional procyclicality of regulatory
capital charges in Pillar 1 of Basel II. In this section, we shall briefly visit this literature and see if
any conclusions can be drawn from this, before proceeding to the conclusion and mitigation of
these procyclical effects. The majority of the literature, as expected, focuses primarily on the IRB
approach, as this aspect of Basel II has drawn the most criticism from financial practitioners and
academics alike. The greater part of this literature has found that there is an overwhelmingly
substantial rise in procyclicality of minimum regulatory capital charges originating ... Show more

This is the biggest problem, and has to be addressed correctly once economic conditions are
conducive to do so. Within the specified Tier 1 requirement, common shares and retained earnings
should be a priority and form the predominant form of capital. To ensure the quality of this capital,
the Basel Committee should harmonize capital deductions and prudential filters (FSF BCBS,
2009). The committee should also enhance the disclosure of the components of regulatory capital in
order to increase transparency within the system and avoid confusion in terms of the quality of
capital required.
(2) The Basel Committee should make adjustments to their framework to inhibit excessive
cyclicality of the minimum capital requirements
The Basel Committee has made a reasonable effort to mitigate this cyclicality already, by
monitoring the impact of cyclicality through data collection (via their Capital Monitoring Group).
This data is available every 6 months, and helps the committee monitor the extent to which the
capital regime reveals excessively high levels of capital cyclicality. In correspondence with this data
monitoring, the Basel Committee must review the ways in which cyclicality, arising from the Pillar
1 capital requirement calculation, can be abated. They must try and maintain the risk sensitivity of
the inputs, but also create an emphasis on dampening the effects of cyclicality on the outputs. This
way the

cannot be a human freedom so personal as ordering the circumstances of one s own

disregarded (Jenkins 1). By allowing yourself to have life, one would assume that this gives you
freedom over other aspects of your existence, including when it should end. By denying the rights
to achieve liberty, achieve happiness, and define our lives, are we not denying the rights
governments around the world were founded on? It is the denial of these rights that allows the
mental stress felt by patients to turn into physical pain. Physical pain felt by patients is most often
not caused by their injuries, but by neglect. Montana s Death with Dignity Act, as stated by

healing; it causes the patient to suffer through their injuries while searching out another doctor to

My Initial Jump Into Real Estate
There are many terms involved with the real estate closing process; so many that books are
available just to cover the wide array of vocabulary. In this report I will be covering three pieces of
terminology that I personally find important for me to thoroughly understand during my initial
jump into real estate. The first piece of terminology I will be covering is the mortgage. In my
opinion the mortgage is one of the biggest pieces of the home closing process that needs to be
understood by all parties. Secondly, I will be covering closing costs. Closing costs is a very broad
term assigned to a large group of smaller costs involved during the closing process and it can be
important to know where that money is going. Finally, I will be... Show more content on

The first of these three, fixed rate mortgages, are arguably the simplest and easiest to understand.
The idea of the fixed rate mortgage is simple, you are given a set interest rate for a set amount of
time. The mortgage payment for a fixed rate mortgage is calculated at the time of mortgage
origination and stays that rate for the life of the mortgage (minus tax and insurance fluctuations
if included in the mortgage payment). The length of a fixed rate mortgage (as well as other
mortgages) can vary widely, from 10 years all the way up to 40. According to the book Mortgage
Confidential , a typical spread between a 30 year and a 15 year fixed rate is normally about ВЅ
percent , meaning if you can find a 30 year rate at 7.00 percent, then a similarly priced 15 year
mortgage at most places will be in the 6.50 percent range. (Reed, 2011, p.157). Adjustable rate
mortgages, like fixed rate mortgages, have a set length, but do not have a fixed interest rate.
Adjustable rate mortgages can be based on a variety of indexes and are set using an index and a
margin. (Reed, 2011, p.149). Simply stated, the interest rate of adjustable rate mortgages fluctuates
with the financial market. The interest rate of an adjustable rate mortgage will change depending
on the type of mortgage. A one year adjustable will typically adjust once per year, a six month
ARM will adjust every six months, and monthly ARMs will

Communication Failure
Communication is not an easy process. It involves verbal and non verbal attempts to assist the other
person to understand what we are trying to communicate. Yet it often fails.
The communication occurring between two people as discussed in the statement above is known
by academics as interpersonal communication . Interpersonal communication can be defined as a
two way, transactional process in which two people, occupying a shared space, continue to send
information to each other and receive information from each simultaneously. (DeVito, 2008; Firth,
Berry amp; Irvine, 2010; Hartley, 1999). The above statement refers to the process of interpersonal
communication.

Verbal and non verbal messages expressed by should ideally have congruency, meaning they
complement each other (DeVito, 2008; Firth et al., 2010). Incongruent verbal and non verbal
messages often lead to confusion in the receiver, hindering successful reception and comprehension
of the information being communicated and therefore resulting in a failure in the communication
process (Devito, 2008; Firth et al., 2010). Hence, congruent verbal and non verbal messages
encoded and communicated by sender will also aid in reducing the likeliness of communication
failure.
It has been suggested that a failure or breakdown in the interpersonal communication process can
be further reduced if both the sender and receiver possess satisfactory levels of what is termed
emotional intelligence (Goleman, 1998; Lynn, 2002). Emotional intelligence may be defined as a
person s ability to recognise, control and evaluate their own feelings and emotions as well as the
feelings and emotions of others (Goleman, 1998). Goleman (1998) states that emotional
Intelligence is made up of five elements, these being: self awareness, self regulation, self
motivation, empathy, and the possession of social skills. Self awareness comprises of: the ability
to recognise one s emotions; awareness of one s strengths, weaknesses and potential; and one s

Common Core State Standards Analysis
The Common Core State Standards provide clear and consistent learning goals to help prepare
students for college, career, and life, these standards clearly show what students are likely to learn
at each grade level, so that every parent and teacher can comprehend and provide support for the
students learning. It is stated that, these standards set grade specific goals, they do not express how
the standards should be taught or which resources should be used to support students . Many states
and local districts identify that there will need to be a variety of backings in place to confirm that
all students, (including those with special needs and English language learners), can master the

but that each and every student can prosper in an economy and population that is developing at a

One of the most imperative objectives of the Common Core State Standards is that it gives the
needed information and assistances essential to thrive while in undergrad and or graduate school,
profession, and life. In order to decide and or see if the standards meet this objective was
determined with relating them to the best state ethics, observing them in affiliation to formerly

Theme Of Desire In A Streetcar Named Desire
In Tennessee Williams play A Streetcar Named Desire, Blanche s character believes that the
opposite of death is desire. Throughout the play Blanche fills her desires in order to escape from
the death of people and things that surround her. Williams uses Blanche to further develop the
theme because she copes with death by filling her desires, which slowly results in the self
destruction of her character. Although the theme is mostly developed from Blanche s character,
Stella, Stanley, and Blanche s husband all suffer from desire.
In the opening of the play Blanche says, They told [her] to take a street car named Desire, and
then transfer to one called Cemeteries and ride six blocks and get off at at Elysian Fields! (1.1).

Understanding the Realtion Between Math and Music Essay
Math and Music: An Introduction and Mathematical Analysis
Galileo Galilei once said that the entire universe is written in the language of mathematics . Then, it
is not surprising to learn that music is closely related to math. The mathematical application in
music will be discussed in this essay.
Rhythm and Frequency To understand the relation between math and music, the primary step is to
study the nature of rhythm, frequency and amplitude. Everything around us has its own pattern of
rhythm, from the motion of protons and neutrons, to the beats in rock music. According to Garland
(1995), rhythm is determined by the periodicity of vibration of certain object in its surrounding
substance, or medium (p. 28). The vibration is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Amplitude refers to the distance from crest or trough of the wave to its equilibrium position.
Garland (1995) stated, frequency is a term that describes the number of waves, or vibrations, that
pass a given point per second (p. 28). It is inversely proportional to the wavelength, which is the
distance of one wave cycle. Frequency can be evaluated in the pitch of a tone: a higher pitch has a
higher frequency. A simple tone has constant frequency and amplitude, and its graph is similar to a
sine curve. Tones that are more complicated result from combinations of several simple curves. The
smallest pure tone frequency in complex tunes is called fundamental frequency. Integer multiples of
the fundamental frequency make the resultant tone musical.
The graph below shows the frequency data from A3 to A4 key. Note that A4 key has twice as
much frequency as A3 key, because any two keys that are one octaveapart have the frequency ratio
of 2:1. Further inspection shows that two adjacent notes are in the ratio of 1.059...
For example:
Freq. of A#3 / freq. of A3 = 233.1 Hz / 220 Hz = 1.059...
Freq. of C4 / freq. of B3 = 261.6 Hz/ 246.9 Hz = 1.059...
Freq. of G4 / freq. of F#4 = 392.0 Hz / 370.0 Hz = 1.059...
The examples show that the frequency of any note is a product of the frequency of the adjacent
note before it and the constant number 1.059.
Proof:
Let an octave start from key A. The ratio of frequency between adjacent keys is h.

Homo Erectus has been argued to be the first hominid to successfully migrate out of Africa, Home
Erectus had a brain size approaching that of modern humans, averaging just under 100 cubic

Paul The Apostle Of The Church
Paul the apostle is known for his letters in the Bible to the church in Philippi. Paul devotes his
faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to promote Christianity to the people of the Philippians.
He is seen throughout the New Testament furthering God s Word and projecting it in such a way to
get fellow Jewish people to convert to Christianity. In the midst of this activity, Paul was travelling
in between cities when a mob broke out against him. Israelites were furious with him spreading the
Word of JesusChrist throughout their land. The Israelites began to beat him repeatedly until the
word reached the commander of the Roman soldiers. The roman soldiers immediately came to
Paul and put him under arrest for a total of seven days before freeing him. Paul was charged with
speaking out against the law of the land, promoting Jesus Christ among the Jewish people and
disturbing the peace among the city.
During his stay in Roman Prison, Paul wrote the letters to the church in Philippi. He stated his
concerns with the law of the land and the way religion was reflected in society. These letters are
the earliest surviving documents the world has because they predict the earliest Gospel. This
Gospel is marl. Paul s letters combine with other books to form the Bible. Of the twenty seven
books in the New Testament, fourteen of the, include the missionary and journey of Paul through

Pros And Cons Of The Parliament Of Great Britain
Scotland and England have a long standing history with one another. They have always been in
conflict with one another, especially when England tried to take over Scotland. But eventually,
England succeeded in their attempts and, in 1706, their acts of union were passed. They eventually
took effect in May 1, 1707. That day the Parliament of Great Britain was formed. The reason each
side agreed on the Union was because both sides had something to gain from it. The English did not
want the Scottish to choose a monarch from the one sitting on the English throne. On the other
hand, the Scottish had a money problem from their attempt to colonize the Isthmus of Panama in
the 1690s. But a large stretch of time has elapsed since that Union. A vote was held in Scotlandon
September 18, 2014 on whether or not Scotland should succeed from the United Kingdom. The
Scottish had a rather large to make. Both independence from and dependence on the United
Kingdom have their advantages and disadvantages. If argued in the point of view of Scotland, there
are many pros for the whole kingdom. The first advantage is in the government. The Scottish
Parliament is more democratic than the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reason this result came about was because of all the disadvantages there is to succeeding. The
prime reason Scotland voted to not succeed was because unity is strength. Being a part of a strong,
rich, influential state such as the United Kingdom gives them a global presence. If independent,
Scotland s voice on the world stage would decrease tremendously. Another large reason is the
United Kingdom will cut them off financially. Since Scotland is a part of the UK, the country gives
them money so they can sustain themselves. Without that connection, the UK has no reason to shell
out money to them. This is an economic gamble to Scotland, especially in times of recession and

Braxton Bragg Research Paper
Braxton Bragg was born on March 22, 1817 in North Carolina (History.com). Bragg did not talk
about his parents but what we do know is that his dad was a contractor and his mom was arrested
for killing a freed slave. Though his parents were not the best, his brother was a politician who
helped him get into the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1833 (History.com).
He flourished at the academy and graduated one year later, he finished fifth out of fifty soldiers.
Bragg was affiliated with the military for the majority of his life, and served in two major wars
before the civil war. He served in the Second Seminole War and the Mexican American War.

Exports and Imports
Over the past ten years, Vietnam has seen a gradual change in the goods they import and export.
Historically, Vietnam s exports have mostly consisted of agricultural goods, along with textiles,
fishery products, and forest products. Imports have evolved from being mostly agricultural goods
like fertilizer, and farm machinery to electronics, oil, steel, and other industrial goods. Exports from
Vietnam have begun to move towards the industrial sector as well with increases in earnings on
crude oil, electronics, and other consumer goods according to the General Statistics Office of
Vietnam (GSO).
The rate of industrial machinery, accessories, and instruments has increased from about 16% of
imports in 2005 to about 28% of imports in 2012 (the most recent year data available). The same
type of equipment has also increased dramatically on the export side as well. 20% of exports from
Vietnam fell into this group in 2005, 2012 saw 34% of exports from this category.
According to the GSO, about 80% of Vietnam s trade is done with members of other Asian
countries. Vietnam is also the president of The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as
of 2010. Through this position, Vietnam has increased trade both regionally, and internationally.

Essay on The Death Of Liberal America
Americans seem to have lost any sense whatsoever of what liberalism means and what it strives to
insure. Liberals have insisted that tyranny can only be combated by the multiplication and
fragmentation of power. A free society is one in which there are various centers of power, various
positions from which people have the ability to influence decisions. That s the whole point behind
creating three branches of government, the vaunted separation of powers. Liberalism aims to insure
peace and prevent tyranny in pluralistic societies. Liberalism strives to place lots of individual

Democracy has it benefits, with the most obvious being peace. The most important corollary
benefit is that the opposition party plays a key role in keeping the party in power honest. It is
obviously in the opposition party s interest to keep the public informed about the missteps and
misdeeds of the administration party. The opposition party is as crucial to ongoing publicity as a
free press. And publicity is a crucial safeguard (not the only one, but a crucial one) against
governmental abuse of power. Democracy, in short, prevents one party rule.
So what s the problem in 2005? Up until now American democracy has been remarkably stable
with the notable exceptions of the Civil War and the Civil Rights conflicts. But now, the
Republicans have launched a full scale assault upon democracy at home. This assault is about
grabbing and using power, and it also reflects an impoverished view of democracy basically one that
limits democracy to free elections. The understanding of democracy tends toward the plebiscite and
toward the establishment of a strong leader, usually one who promises to sweep aside the
complexities, compromises, frustrations, and inefficiencies introduced by parliamentary janglings
and an independent judiciary. The plebiscite has almost always favored right wing leaders impatient
with legal and institutional impediments to forceful action. In other words the plebiscite is perfect

John Winthrop s Vision Of A Prosperous Christian...
The presence of religion is ingrained into the history of the United States of America. Serving as a
haven for disgruntled religious rebels from the Old World, the colonies became embroiled into the
question of Christian identity. John Winthrop envisioned that a Christian utopia would arise in the
New World, convinced it would become reality as long as the inhabitants practiced Christianityin its
proper form. Despite these high aspirations, future believers saw Winthrop s vision fall short.
Cotton Mather believes that the Christian community fell victim to a sinful environment.
Alternatively, preacher Jonathan Edwards believes that the self hinders a meaningful relationship
with Christ. All men of great faith, they believed that indulgence in sinwould bring about ruin to
their communities, and issued public warnings that advised fellow believers on how to save their
souls, and by extension, their communities. Winthrop s vision of a prosperous Christian community
was defined by several key characteristics, given by Winthrop himself. Winthrop states ...so this
great King will have many stewards, counting Himself more honored in dispensing His gifts to man

the community to directly practice Christian doctrine and values. It is through this direct action that
Godwill bring about prosperity to the population. Winthrop emphasizes in particular the need to be

ABC Learning was the largest provider of childcare, holding around 20 per cent of the long day

Mr Groves corporate governance practices were poor, and is currently in legal proceedings
regarding interparty transactions, this was certainly news worthy, and damaged the company s
reputation and slowed investor confidence. Additionally, the price paid to companies was deemed
to be above market norms, siphoning more money from the companies depleted coffers.
Critics are focused on the mess of the books for ABC Learning Centres Ltd, specifically the
complex way in which revenue and profits were accounted for, particularly the way compensation
payments from centre developers were counted as revenue (Thompson 2008). The Financial
position of ABC Learning centres was misrepresented and projected a positive image of the
financials, until Auditors Ernst and Young were required to pour over the books after the collapse.
All of these issues are summed up in Thompsons (2008) assertion that Groves was the right man to
grow the business but not the right man to manage the business, had the right manager been in
place then the organization may have been able to turn its fortunes around.
The Ethical Issues of the case: Firstly there is a significant Ethical and morale lapse in a share

Recreation Supervisors
When it comes to parenting, it seems that all is lost due to the immense amount of stress created
from children. Luckily jobs are in place so to help the average citizen with their everyday child
needs. Some are big and some are small, but all are important such as the few like Family
Advocates and RecreationSupervisors. Family Advocates are one of those jobs that allow parents
and children to communicate to social services through a medium. Another job that would also be
beneficial to parents within the U.S.A. is a Recreation Supervisor which plans and makes certain
that the city has planned events and activities for the community to do and participate in. These
careers can tell a lot about what types of jobs are helpful for people to become successful... Show

Recreation Supervisors make on average 40,000 (Recreation Salary) a year which is not a large
sum of money. Looking at the community impact aspect of the job, however, is a reward that in
itself is priceless. The ability to create friendships and opportunities for others to make those
connections is one of the most selfless things anyone can do. From my research, I have found that
there are many ways to choose a way to further helping others and contributing to society in a
positive way. From the ability to further in government, or the joy of making someone s day and
giving them a way to forget about the worries of life gives the meaning of what it means to give
back to the community. I personally would not choose either of these fields not out of hate, but
because I don t believe that is the road I want to take to government and I believe I can help society
in a way other than just bringing one community

Medical Experiments In The Holocaust
The Nazis made scientific contributions to the world in the Holocaust through their medical
experiments and government initiatives, resulting from their military research experiments and the
medical experiments conducted in concentration camps. The Nazis conducted their military
research to aid the German military and its citizens. The medical experiments conducted at
concentration camps, most of which, resulted in physical torture and death, had limited data and
insufficient results. Widespread diseases in the Aryan race caused the Nazis to research possible
vaccinations and immunizations against the disease. The ideas of eugenics and racial hygiene
inspired doctors and physicians alike to conduct experiments proving the superiority... Show more

Scientists at Ravensbruck tested the efficacy of sulfanilamide and the regeneration of bones in the
human body (University of Toronto). Sulfanilamide is still used today to restrict the growth of
certain bacteria. During WWII, the Nazis were afraid that the Allies would attack with phosgene
gas, so Doctor Birkenbach was ordered to find a means of protection against such poisoning (Gomes
2). Phosgene is used today as a chemical in the production of pesticides, but the Chief Administrator
of the EPA chose to forgo the use of the Nazi data because of the harshness of the execution of the
experiments. It is undeniable that the implementation of the Nazi derived data would boost the
United States knowledge of the effect of phosgene on humans. Physicians influenced the minds of
many by scientifically proving that the Aryans were the better race (Georgetown University),
through rigged scientific experiments. Undesirable people, as seen by the Third Reich, were
exterminated, while others were subjected to euthanization and forced sterilization (Fraker 13).
Though the experiments were cruel, the activities of the doctors led to the Nuremburg code, which
serves as international law during war and reminds humanity to prevent the atrocities committed by
the Nazis. The actions of the good minded scientists and physicians in Nazi Germany provides an
example of how even

GNS 3 Command Analysis
Carefully write down what you see on the GNS3 screens. (Unfortunately, it is impossible to
copy the texts of the GNS3 screens and paste them into the browser you are using to take this
course.) Type sudo tcpdump xx i eth0 into this terminal. You can stop it after a few minutes by
entering CTRL c . Note that this command displays only 4 lines, like this: which is enough for
all but one of the questions. The sudo tcpdump xx s0 i eth0 command must be used to see the
whole frame. This command will collect all Ethernet frames passing through interface eth0 and
display them as 8 byte lines in hexadecimal. 0x0010 is the number of the first byte of the line in
hexadecimal (0x: notation often used in languages to denote hexadecimal). Each pair of characters
then represents the value of one byte. Each line contains 16 bytes. Here, 0x0010 is the number of
the first byte of the second line, which is the 16th byte of the frame, hence 10 in hexadecimal....

While driving through your community, stop for coffee or have lunch in a neighborhood. Find a

community as well so that you can explore it from both a driving perspective and a walking

Speech On Teenagers
Taking the mask off: It s time to stop being someone we aren t
In today s day and age, there s a common problem that each teenger inevitably faces along the
way through adolescence. We try to find out who we are and what we want to become, but this
is becoming ever more difficult. Nowadays in the age of technology, we have thousands of
people around that rub off on us one way or the other. We have all of these influences around us,
most of whom are either non beneficial or unattainable. These, along with the ever present peer
pressure, make us become someone that s far away from who we really are, something that we
should attempt to move on from. It seems like today the overwhelming question for teenagers is
should they put on a fake persona for the sake of being accepted or live every day unfiltered at the
risk of being scrutinized?
When we step outside the friendly confines of our home, we prepare a face to show to the rest of
the world, one that shows we are living a great life and having everything going right for us. We
are expected to always put on a persona and show that our lives our great. On social media, we
all post pictures of us in our best moments; We show when we re on vacation, when we re at a
bonfire with friends, or when we re sitting in the suite level at a sporting event. However, we
never show the negatives; the times when we get a bad grade, a family member is sick, or an
argument between you and a friend. I know I do the same things

Swedish Vampire Films and Their Effect On Youth Essay
Vampire films are gaining popularity in many countries. The majority of these vampire films
portray one dimensional love or horror stories. Unlike other vampire films, Let the Right One In
is a complex film and novel that can be interpreted to reflect social problems in Sweden. The film
and novel illustrates a divide between young people and adults in Swedish society. These
different age groups are represented by different characters. The Swedish vampire, Eli, is not
simply a monster, but she is a complex character with which the audience can sympathize as she
appears to be a twelve year old girl. Although Eli is not a human child, Eli represents youth fighting
against the dangers of Swedish society. Eli must murder to stay alive,... Show more content on

If there are no benefits left for other generations of Swedes, then the youth may face higher levels
of poverty. Eli s victims contrast the people Hakan murders because his victims are all young
people. Hakan exemplifies one of the dangers youth face. Although not fully portrayed in the film,
Hakan is a pedophile. In the novel, Hakan does take advantage of a young boy s desperate
situation. The boy has no money and must prostitute himself. The author may be directing attention
to the problem of poor youth that do not have the means to survive. This could be another example
of the social welfare system of Sweden benefitting the adults, while the children suffer. In
addition to Hakan victimizing a young boy, Hakan rapes Eli. While in Tommy s basement, Eli
was being handled, like an object (Lindquivst 392). However, Eli fights back and escapes from
Hakan. Eli s escape represents that Swedish youth face these sexual dangers and must fight off
these dangerous adults. In addition to Hakan sexually victimizing young kids, the people Hakan
harvests blood from for Eli are young people. First, Hakan kills a teenage boy in the woods.
Then, he attempts to murder a boy at the pool, but Hakan fails as the boy wakes up and screams
for help. Perhaps the failed murder shows the progression of youth in Sweden standing up to the
oppression of dangerous adults. When young people ban together they are able to save each other.
The theme of young people saving each

The Purpose Of The Tea Party

that are occurring in politics. It also outlines the varying political groups that claim the

this article talks about their members wanting to go back to having the same political ideas as
the rebels did during the revolutionary war. The event of the Tea Party was inspired by many
rebels who were all protesting England s unfair taxation. However, many different political groups
have claimed that they were responsible for the Tea Party. The main concept of this is that the Tea

Crime Social Construct
Crime is a social construct because it is an idea that is established by a society to control the
behaviors of the people within the society ( Radical Concept of Crime ). What is considered to
be criminal varies within different area and cultures and even time. Things that were legal two
hundred years ago are illegal now. For example, in the 18th and 19th century when slavery was
allowed in America, there were a lot of people who saw nothing wrong with it because they had
been socialized to accept and justify it. If you ask most Americans now about slavery, they would
say that it was a tragedy or that they just cannot understand how it happened. This is because we
are now being socialized to think of slavery as wrong. Even though many citizens... Show more

It is dangerous to disrupt an established organization without a carefully thought out plan for what
will happen after. V s plan to disrupt the governmentcould have hurt all of his followers if he
wasn t successful. It could also hurt them now that he is gone, because there is not a clear
leader, and no one is really in charge anymore. Leadership is necessary so that someone can be
held responsible for the actions of the community. That s why a lot of coup d Г©tats do not ended
up being successful regimes. It is easier to tear things down than to build them up. When V blew
up a building, someone could have gotten hurt. In the film, V is initially called a terrorist by the
government, even though the first scene that he is in involves him saving someone from being
attacked police officers (James McTeigue, V for Vendetta). The terrorism takes on different
meanings to different people. Although terrorism is usually thought of as blowing up buildings,
governments generally use the term to describe people who are going against them. Terrorism is
usually defined as inciting fear for political gain, and is often used by people in power to describe
actions of people without power ( Radical Concept of

  • 2. Essay On What Role Did George Washington Play In... George Washington became the first president of the United States in 1789, and Thomas Jefferson became the third president of the United States in 1801, shortly after. The United States of America was a brand new country and there were still quite a few kinks to solve in the government. Establishing a stable government was important for a baby country like the United States, and George Washington and Thomas Jeffersonhelped do that during both presidential terms. George Washington played a large role in implementing a strong and secure government through many parts of his presidency. As soon as George Washington was appointed to being President and sworn into office, the first members in Congress were also elected to begin their duties. Immediately... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As soon as Thomas Jefferson began his journey as the President of the United States, Jefferson brought an end to the Alien and Sedition Acts, brought forth by John Adams. The passing of the Alien and Sedition Acts by John Adams and the rest of the Federalist party caused hostility toward the government, so with the termination of the acts, the government began to regain its calmness. Jefferson also bought the Louisiana Purchase in presidency term. The Louisiana Purchase, bought from France at the total cost of $15 million, encouraged the citizens of the United States to expand west. The expansion caused the economy to flourish, making the government more financially stable. Jefferson also created a democratic non aristocratic government. The idea was that in order to be a better government, the government should govern less, so that is what the government did. This form of government made sure that not one person rose to absolute power and in doing so, it kept the interests of the people in mind, so the people were happy. Another accomplishment of Thomas Jefferson s presidency was the death of the Federalist party. Seeing as the government no longer was divided, it was more stable. Thomas Jefferson s eradication of the Alien and Sedition Acts caused more stability in the government through ending the hostility the acts were bringing to the people. Because of the end of the Alien and Sedition Acts, the people were less hostile, which caused the government to become more stable. When Jefferson purchased the Louisiana Purchase, it caused many people to spread out west. The buying of the Louisiana Purchase contributed to the stability of the American government by bringing forth financial aid as the economy thrived. • 3. Implementing Alternate Technologies Improve The Power... IMPLEMENTING ALTERNATE TECHNOLOGIES TO IMPROVE THE POWER HANDLING CAPACITY OF ALL Si MEMS PHASE SHIFTERS Abstract: This proposal paper analyze and suggest the alternate methods to reduce the heat dissipation and power consumption of MEMS phase shifters while they are being used in the real time environment i.e., in a closed loop operation. So many advancements in the MEMS technology make the MEMS production very effective, but still there are some drawbacks in its structure and in its performance, which pulls the system efficiency to down. Self and mutual inductions are the two major run time defects which affects the performances of the MEMS devices and increases its power consumption when there is a physical data link between two blocks. If the proper steps are taken then, the measurement results can range up to 40dBm at 75 GHz or even more. Hence by using alternate methods for the communication between the two blocks using PIC 16f778 controller we can reduce the temperature rise in all Si phase shifters, which is 20 30 times lesser than the conventional MEMS phase shifters. Also by implementing this idea we can reduce the fabrication cost and we can make a great revolution in the field of embedded systems. Key terms: Microwave, phase shifters, optic fiber, radio frequency micro electro mechanical systems. I. • 4. Comparing Hesse s Siddhartha And Kallu In the novel Siddhartha, there were many symbols and connection that gave the readers more insights in the novel. Throughout the story, themes of the novel were thoughtful and life experience. There were many significant themes that were similar between Siddhartha and short story Kallu . A significant connection that stood out in Siddharthaand Kallu was the sacrifice of each story. This stood out the most because both the story line characters sacrifice the most in their stories. As we learn more about how to make a company more successful through effective management of Human Resource, we are learning of the value of people, as a whole, and how they contribute to the success or failure of an organization. That s even more so true with in healthcare organizations. Nurses play a pivotal role in the health care profession and make up the majority of healthcare workers in a hospital setting. This article will discuss organizational culture as it relates to the nursing profession and healthcare as a whole. II.Literature Review Culture, as defined by Florea, Goldbach, Goldbach (2011), is essential, as it affects service quality, organizational productivity, and financial results. This occurs even more so in a hospital setting, an area in which cultures vary within the healthcare providers and their patients. The literature on organizational culture and its impact on nurses and the healthcare system are increasing in frequency due to the increase in cultural variety noted in healthcare organizations. According to the article, Improving Hospital Performance through Organizational Culture (2011), many prior researchers believed that organizational culture had potential effects on employee motivation and behavior. They believed that it affected employees productivity, performance, commitment, self confidence and ethical behavior and many have tested the validity of this theory by researching and studying the organizational cultures within several industries. Prior research has showed that there is a link between excellent cultural organization and overall employee performance. You d be more likely to discover a bag of dusty, old dinosaur bones in your backyard before you could uncover the answer to that question. In order to answer the questionat hand, you must first understand three things. One; a labyrinth is a maze leading you through Hell and back, filled with false paths, twists, and turns don t get lost. Two; as long you let even a single thought prance throughout your head for too long whether it be good or bad your mind will be completely and utterly chaotic. A single serving of chocolate milk contains five grams of fat, three of which are saturated fats. The whey protein shake contains one total gram of fat. Both drinks offer many health benefits but, as a post workout supplement a protein shake would be the best choice. When it comes to workout drinks, it is best to look for something with lots of glycogen and protein. The common exercise routine breaks down muscle mass. The muscles in the human body need protein to remain firm, and glycogen to replenish the cells within them. Supplements should be consumed two hours following a workout. Dairy products are not recommended as a replacement for post workout supplements because they can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Therefore, chocolate milk would not be the best to use after physical activity. Although many people prefer post workout protein shakes, it depends on the athlete s preference. Within the specified Tier 1 requirement, common shares and retained earnings should be a priority and form the predominant form of capital. To ensure the quality of this capital, the Basel Committee should harmonize capital deductions and prudential filters (FSF BCBS, 2009). The committee should also enhance the disclosure of the components of regulatory capital in order to increase transparency within the system and avoid confusion in terms of the quality of capital required. (2) The Basel Committee should make adjustments to their framework to inhibit excessive cyclicality of the minimum capital requirements The Basel Committee has made a reasonable effort to mitigate this cyclicality already, by monitoring the impact of cyclicality through data collection (via their Capital Monitoring Group). This data is available every 6 months, and helps the committee monitor the extent to which the capital regime reveals excessively high levels of capital cyclicality. In correspondence with this data monitoring, the Basel Committee must review the ways in which cyclicality, arising from the Pillar 1 capital requirement calculation, can be abated. They must try and maintain the risk sensitivity of the inputs, but also create an emphasis on dampening the effects of cyclicality on the outputs. This way the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is the denial of these rights that allows the mental stress felt by patients to turn into physical pain. Physical pain felt by patients is most often not caused by their injuries, but by neglect. Montana s Death with Dignity Act, as stated by bioethicist Jacob Appel, is a hollow victory, as no physicians are willing to give consented assistance. A physician neglecting to assist a patient with committing suicideis more damaging than healing; it causes the patient to suffer through their injuries while searching out another doctor to assist them. In this report I will be covering three pieces of terminology that I personally find important for me to thoroughly understand during my initial jump into real estate. The first piece of terminology I will be covering is the mortgage. In my opinion the mortgage is one of the biggest pieces of the home closing process that needs to be understood by all parties. The idea of the fixed rate mortgage is simple, you are given a set interest rate for a set amount of time. The mortgage payment for a fixed rate mortgage is calculated at the time of mortgage origination and stays that rate for the life of the mortgage (minus tax and insurance fluctuations if included in the mortgage payment). The length of a fixed rate mortgage (as well as other mortgages) can vary widely, from 10 years all the way up to 40. According to the book Mortgage Confidential , a typical spread between a 30 year and a 15 year fixed rate is normally about ВЅ percent , meaning if you can find a 30 year rate at 7.00 percent, then a similarly priced 15 year mortgage at most places will be in the 6.50 percent range. Adjustable rate mortgages can be based on a variety of indexes and are set using an index and a margin. (Reed, 2011, p.149). Yet it often fails. The communication occurring between two people as discussed in the statement above is known by academics as interpersonal communication . Interpersonal communication can be defined as a two way, transactional process in which two people, occupying a shared space, continue to send information to each other and receive information from each simultaneously. Verbal and non verbal messages expressed by should ideally have congruency, meaning they complement each other (DeVito, 2008; Firth et al., 2010). Incongruent verbal and non verbal messages often lead to confusion in the receiver, hindering successful reception and comprehension of the information being communicated and therefore resulting in a failure in the communication process (Devito, 2008; Firth et al., 2010). Hence, congruent verbal and non verbal messages encoded and communicated by sender will also aid in reducing the likeliness of communication failure. It has been suggested that a failure or breakdown in the interpersonal communication process can be further reduced if both the sender and receiver possess satisfactory levels of what is termed emotional intelligence (Goleman, 1998; Lynn, 2002). Emotional intelligence may be defined as a person s ability to recognise, control and evaluate their own feelings and emotions as well as the feelings and emotions of others (Goleman, 1998). Goleman (1998) states that emotional Intelligence is made up of five elements, these being: self awareness, self regulation, self motivation, empathy, and the possession of social skills. Common Core State Standards Analysis The Common Core State Standards provide clear and consistent learning goals to help prepare students for college, career, and life, these standards clearly show what students are likely to learn at each grade level, so that every parent and teacher can comprehend and provide support for the students learning. It is stated that, these standards set grade specific goals, they do not express how the standards should be taught or which resources should be used to support students . Throughout the play Blanche fills her desires in order to escape from the death of people and things that surround her. Williams uses Blanche to further develop the theme because she copes with death by filling her desires, which slowly results in the self destruction of her character. Although the theme is mostly developed from Blanche s character, Stella, Stanley, and Blanche s husband all suffer from desire. In the opening of the play Blanche says, They told [her] to take a street car named Desire, and then transfer to one called Cemeteries and ride six blocks and get off at at Elysian Fields! (1.1). Understanding the Realtion Between Math and Music Essay Math and Music: An Introduction and Mathematical Analysis Galileo Galilei once said that the entire universe is written in the language of mathematics . Then, it is not surprising to learn that music is closely related to math. The mathematical application in music will be discussed in this essay. Rhythm and Frequency To understand the relation between math and music, the primary step is to study the nature of rhythm, frequency and amplitude. Everything around us has its own pattern of rhythm, from the motion of protons and neutrons, to the beats in rock music. According to Garland (1995), rhythm is determined by the periodicity of vibration of certain object in its surrounding substance, or medium (p. 28). The vibration is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Amplitude refers to the distance from crest or trough of the wave to its equilibrium position. Garland (1995) stated, frequency is a term that describes the number of waves, or vibrations, that pass a given point per second (p. 28). It is inversely proportional to the wavelength, which is the distance of one wave cycle. Frequency can be evaluated in the pitch of a tone: a higher pitch has a higher frequency. A simple tone has constant frequency and amplitude, and its graph is similar to a sine curve. Tones that are more complicated result from combinations of several simple curves. The smallest pure tone frequency in complex tunes is called fundamental frequency. Integer multiples of the fundamental frequency make the resultant tone musical. The graph below shows the frequency data from A3 to A4 key. Note that A4 key has twice as much frequency as A3 key, because any two keys that are one octaveapart have the frequency ratio of 2:1. Further inspection shows that two adjacent notes are in the ratio of 1.059... For example: Freq. of A#3 / freq. of A3 = 233.1 Hz / 220 Hz = 1.059... Freq. of C4 / freq. of B3 = 261.6 Hz/ 246.9 Hz = 1.059... Freq. of G4 / freq. of F#4 = 392.0 Hz / 370.0 Hz = 1.059... • 25. Pros And Cons Of The Parliament Of Great Britain Scotland and England have a long standing history with one another. They have always been in conflict with one another, especially when England tried to take over Scotland. But eventually, England succeeded in their attempts and, in 1706, their acts of union were passed. They eventually took effect in May 1, 1707. That day the Parliament of Great Britain was formed. The reason each side agreed on the Union was because both sides had something to gain from it. The English did not want the Scottish to choose a monarch from the one sitting on the English throne. On the other hand, the Scottish had a money problem from their attempt to colonize the Isthmus of Panama in the 1690s. But a large stretch of time has elapsed since that Union. The majority of these vampire films portray one dimensional love or horror stories. Unlike other vampire films, Let the Right One In is a complex film and novel that can be interpreted to reflect social problems in Sweden. The film and novel illustrates a divide between young people and adults in Swedish society. These different age groups are represented by different characters. The Swedish vampire, Eli, is not simply a monster, but she is a complex character with which the audience can sympathize as she appears to be a twelve year old girl. If there are no benefits left for other generations of Swedes, then the youth may face higher levels of poverty. Eli s victims contrast the people Hakan murders because his victims are all young people. Hakan exemplifies one of the dangers youth face. Although not fully portrayed in the film, Hakan is a pedophile. In the novel, Hakan does take advantage of a young boy s desperate situation. The boy has no money and must prostitute himself. The author may be directing attention to the problem of poor youth that do not have the means to survive. This could be another example of the social welfare system of Sweden benefitting the adults, while the children suffer. In addition to Hakan victimizing a young boy, Hakan rapes Eli. While in Tommy s basement, Eli was being handled, like an object (Lindquivst 392). However, Eli fights back and escapes from Hakan. Eli s escape represents that Swedish youth face these sexual dangers and must fight off these dangerous adults. In addition to Hakan sexually victimizing young kids, the people Hakan harvests blood from for Eli are young people. First, Hakan kills a teenage boy in the woods. Then, he attempts to murder a boy at the pool, but Hakan fails as the boy wakes up and screams for help. Perhaps the failed murder shows the progression of youth in Sweden standing up to the oppression of dangerous adults. When young people ban together they are able to save each other. What is considered to be criminal varies within different area and cultures and even time. Things that were legal two hundred years ago are illegal now. For example, in the 18th and 19th century when slavery was allowed in America, there were a lot of people who saw nothing wrong with it because they had been socialized to accept and justify it.
