Pro Choice Abortion Essays
Writing an essay on the topic of "Pro Choice Abortion" presents a significant challenge due to
the complex and contentious nature of the subject matter. Crafting a compelling essay requires a
deep understanding of the various perspectives, ethical considerations, legal frameworks, and
societal implications surrounding abortion rights and reproductive health.
Firstly, navigating the emotional terrain is daunting. Abortion is a deeply personal and
emotionally charged issue for many individuals, encompassing beliefs, values, and experiences
that often defy easy categorization or resolution. Addressing these sensitivities with empathy
and respect while presenting a coherent argument is crucial but difficult.
Secondly, the topic intersects with a multitude of disciplines, including ethics, law, medicine,
sociology, and politics. Incorporating these diverse perspectives into a cohesive narrative requires
extensive research, critical analysis, and synthesis of complex ideas. Moreover, the evolving
nature of laws and public opinion adds another layer of complexity, demanding the essay to be
both current and nuanced in its analysis.
Furthermore, the task of maintaining objectivity while discussing such a polarizing issue is
challenging. It's essential to acknowledge and engage with opposing viewpoints thoughtfully,
without resorting to oversimplification or dismissal. Balancing advocacy with analytical rigor is
necessary to foster meaningful dialogue and encourage genuine understanding.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Pro Choice Abortion" demands intellectual rigor,
emotional intelligence, and ethical sensitivity. It requires grappling with moral dilemmas, legal
intricacies, and societal norms while striving to articulate a coherent and persuasive argument.
Despite its difficulties, engaging with this topic offers an opportunity for profound introspection
and dialogue on fundamental questions of autonomy, rights, and the value of human life.

Reflection Paper
Change is apart of everyday life, it is inevitable no matter what we do, but it is our
choice as people on if we want these changes to be negative or positive. A few years
back, I made a promise to myself that as I progress through life, I will always try my
best to change for the better and fix myself in areas where I fall behind, but not
everyone makes the choice to be better. Some make a choice that affects who they
are in a negative way as well as hurting those closest to them, someone I used to hang
out made that decision and that caused me to change my perspective on him.
Ever since I was a young child, I enjoyed playing video games whether they be
single player, online, learning (Eh, not always so much), etc. I played online
games with friends of mine and my older brother, one of those being a guy I know
named Chris. I have known Chris since I was around 11 and played online games
with him and my brother all the time. His girlfriend Janelle, who later became his
wife, also joined us in playing these games. As time went on I became more and
more fond of Chris and Janelle and when I was 14 was when I visited them for the
first time at their house in Grand Rapids, and it was an absolute blast. At this time, it
was more so that I was good friends with them and my brother Christian, was off at
college and didn t talk to these guys much.

The Symbol of Blood in William Shakespeare s Macbeth...
The Symbol of Blood in William Shakespeare s Macbeth
Blood represents life, death and often injury. It is an essential part of life, and without
blood, we could not live. In Macbeth, Shakespeare uses the symbol of blood to
represent treachery, murder and death. The word blood , or different forms of it,
appear numerous times throughout the play. Interestingly, the symbol of blood
changes throughout the play, corresponding to the atmosphere and mood changes in
the characters and the play.
First, blood is a reference of honor, and this occurs when Duncan sees the injured
sergeant and says, What bloody man is that? (1.2.1). This is symbolic of the brave
fighter who been injured in a valiant battle for Scotland. The sergeant ... Show more

Lady Macbeth starts this off when she asks the spirits to make thick [her] blood
(1.5.50). What she is saying by this, is that she wants to make herself insensitive
and remorseless for the deed she is hoping to commit. However, she forces
Macbeth to do the deed. Right before killing Duncan, Macbeth sees a dagger
floating in the air leading him to Duncan?s room and he sees on the blade and
dudgeon gouts of blood (2.1.58), indicating that the knife has been viciously
stabbed into someone. This is a Lady Macbeth knows that the evidence of blood is
a treacherous symbol, and knows it will deflect the guilt from her and Macbeth to
the servants when she says If he do bleed, I?ll gild the faces of the grooms withal,
for it must seem their guilt (2.2.71 73).
When Banquo states and question this most bloody piece of work (2.3.150), and
Ross asks is?t known who did this more than bloody deed? (2.4.31), they are both
inquiring as to who performed the treacherous acts upon Duncan. When Macbeth is
speaking about Malcolm and Donalbain, he refers to them as bloody cousins
A final way, and perhaps the most vivid use of the symbol blood, is of the theme of
guilt. First Macbeth hints at his guilt when he says Will all great Neptune?s ocean
wash this blood clean from my hand? (2.2.78), meaning that he wondered if he would
ever be able to forget the dastardly deed that he had committed. Then the ghost of
Banquo, all gory, and bloody comes to haunt Macbeth at the

Your probably thinking, well isnt bullying the same thing. Well they kinda are, but
there is a difference between the two. The definition for bully is a person who uses
strength or power to harm or intimidate those who are weaker. On the site Hazing

that bullying usually involves singling out an individual at anytime and bullying
them as a means to exclude them. Hazing, on the other hand, involves including

Question #1: Let us assume that a full feature movie in MP4 format has a size of
2.4GB. How long would it take to download such a movie over: a)a T1 connection
b)a T3 connection c)a cable modem with 2Mbps connection d)a telephone modem
of 56Kbps Answer #1: Before specifically talk about how long the 2.4GB will take
to completely get downloaded, I would like to talk about the difference between
Byte (B) and bits (b) first. A bit is a single number or a single value which can be
either 0 or 1 and this value is represent the digital information. A byte is a sequence
of bits; like a sequence of digital information, usually eight bits equals to one byte.
Now coming to the question, whenever you are downloading any file or software
over internet it takes time to get downloaded depending on the downloading speed
of your internet connection. Similarly, if we refer to the question and assume to
download a MP4 format movie of total size 2.4GB (gigabytes), the downloading
time of our movie will depend on the type of connection we are using. Below are

Some of the advantages are; it adds weight to the authentication of the website like
if you are a retailer and your website ranks PR7 which means you are big and can
be trusted by the customer. Similarly the advertisers uses your website to place ads
due to its market reach and popularity and hence it results in generating revenue
from the website owner perspective. Another advantage of PageRank is that if you
rank high, there are more chances that Google spider will index the contents like
article present on your website which results in more re directed traffic. If a general
user searches something and based on your PageRank your website appears on top it
leads to conversion of potential customer to end customer if you are doing B2C

Sexism And Women s Rights
Women make up half of this world s human population, and with consideration of
this fact, who is to say women are lesser of the two genders? Sexism and Women s
Rights are a global issue, that affects more than just woman themselves. Even in the
United States, commonly known as the Land of the Free , ironically is empowered
by the Statue of Liberty, which presents false ideas that women are well respected in
this country and provided with equal rights. Throughout history, women have
constantly been working hard to prove their strength and ability, it was not until the
twentieth century that women started to rise up in society and were slowly
beginning to be viewed as an equally capable being in the eyes of the United States.

Even though America has still not reached gender equality, I do agree with those
who claim that American women have substantially grown in society and
contradicted many stereotypes. In places like Afghanistan, women are not to go
anywhere without the approval of men. There are who try to escape their abusive
husbands are thrown in jail. Though a jail sentence may seem tragic, many feel
that if they were to ever be let out would be killed. In Armenia when women try to
inform authorities of the abuse they are experiencing at home, they are asked what
they did to deserve their beating, or are sent home because wife beating is a family
matter. (Source two) Home is supposed to be where one is most comfortable.
Home is supposed to be where one feels safe, it is not a place that anyone should
fear or feel the need to run away from. Because of the severe violence women
encounter internationally, I support women s right once again rising to a status of
urgency, so that women who try to stand up for themselves using the little self esteem
they have theft, will be provided with reassurance that the trauma they endured was in

The Pros And Cons Of Resistance
Resistance is a destructive and violent rejection. Resistance is commonly
understood as a rejection to accept and comply with something that causes doing in
opposition to the current events. Resistance movement is an organized effort by
some part of people of a country to resist the legally established government or an
occupying power and to disrupt civil order and stability. I believe in the resistance
as I believe there can be no light without shadow; or rather, no shadow unless there is
also light. (149)
Resistance is related to power, and power is possible to understand as relational
and multiple in networks of productive interactions. Resistance is not by itself evil
or destructive , as well as not basically good , progressive or democratic . We have
to acknowledge that not only do fascist or religious fundamentalist resistance exist
but are common examples of how people try to undermine established power
relations. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is also is one of the origins of the resistance movement. Resistance was the
rejection of all these things: the ceasefire, the Armistice and Collaboration. It also
became a rejection of the right wing politics of Vichy, and, most difficult of all, a
rejection of the mythic status and popularity of Petain. It was a battle for the
liberation of the country, but it was also a battle for the minds and hearts of the
French people, and many Resisters have said that breaking the hold of Petainism
was the most formidable task in the first two years. After November 1942 it was
easier, for in that month the Germans occupied the whole of France and Petain
insisted on staying as head of what was now quite openly a subservient regime. But
sympathy, support, and even adoration, for Petain lived on. It still exists among a

Recognizing and rewarding high performance is a key recommendation for any
approach when managing any merit pay program (HRIS 2012). Merit pay is a
compensation system where base pay increases and is determined by an individual
s performance. Using a merit pay plan is a good way for an organization to reward
high performance is one benefit when using merit pay programs. The first step in
implementing or improving a merit pay program is to have a solid performance
management program, and this is another way a merit pay program is beneficial.
Merit pay is a way to be successful and effectively implement merit pay with a uplift
in salaries, and this is a third way using a merit pay program is beneficial to an
organization. There are some drawbacks when using merit pay programs, such as
paying some employees more than others. If you pay high performing workers more
than low performing employees, the high performers may stay, causing the low
performers to complain or leave the organization. A second drawback in using merit
pay program is that employees become less motivated if not paid to their satisfaction.
For example, if employees feel they should be making more money for their
performance, this causes them to have low self esteem, and want to find employment
at other organization. The last drawback associated with
Puerto Rico In The 19th Century
In 1850, Puerto Rico and Cuba were the only Spanish colonies remaining. Puerto
Ricans have had been migrating to New York since the 19th Century. After the
Spanish American War, Puerto Rico became a possession of the United States. About
1,800 Puerto Rican citizens immigrated during this period to New York. Later, in
1902, the US issued new immigrationguidelines that changed the status of Puerto
Ricans to foreigners . A further decision by the Supreme Court stated that Puerto
Ricans were not U.S. citizens but noncitizen nationals, an ambiguous designation that
left residents of the island in political limbo. They could neither vote nor were they
independent from the United States. In 1917 the US entered WWI; that same year the

Willy Loman s Metheric Body
When man lives and weaves in the world of flowing tones, he himself is saturated by
these tones. When he returns, from the Devachanic world, his own consciousness
soul, intellectual, and sentient soul are permeated with the vibrations of the
Devachanic realm; he has these within himself, and with them he penetrates the
physical world. When man has absorbed these vibrations, they enable him to work
from his sentient soulonto the sentient body and the etheric body. Having brought
these vibrations of Devachan along with him, man can convey them to his etheric
body, which then resonates with these vibrations. The nature of the etheric and the
sentient bodies is based on the same elements, on spiritual tone and spiritual
vibrations. The etheric... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When a person hears music, the impression is experienced first in the astral body.
Then, the tones are consciously sent to the etheric body, and man overcomes the
tones already there. This is the basis both of the pleasure of listening to music and of
musical creativity.
Along with certain musical sounds, something of the astral body flows into the
etheric body. The latter now has received new tones. A kind of struggle arises
between the sentient body and the etheric body. If these tones are strong enough to
overcome the etheric body s own tones, cheerful music in the major key results.
When music is in a major key, one can observe how the sentient body is the victor
over the etheric body. In the case of minor keys, the etheric body has been victor over
the sentient body; the etheric body has opposed the vibrations of the sentient body.
When man dwells within the musical element, he lives in a reflection of his spiritual
home. In this shadow image of the spiritual, the human soul finds its highest
exaltation, the most intimate connection with the primeval element of man. This is
why even the most humble soul is so deeply affected by music. The most humble
soul feels in music an echo of what it has experienced in Devachan. The soul feels at
home there. Each time he listens to music man senses, Yes, I am from another
American Dream Outline
What is the American Dream? In Merriam Webster s dictionary the American
Dream is described as: an American social ideal that stresses egalitarianism and
especially material .prosperity; also: the prosperity or life that is the realization of
this ideal (Webster). The thing is what does it mean to you? Don t feel awful, if
you can t immediately answer that. When it comes to defining the American
Dream perspective is everything. I decided to get some perspective so I
interviewed my mom on her opinion of the American Dream . I told her that for
most it was roughly defined as; a life of personal happiness and material comfort as
traditionally sought by individuals in the U.S (Random House), and how many

James T. Russell and the Invention of the Compact Disc
James Russell was born in Bremerton, Washington in 1931. His first invention, at
six years old, was a remote control battleship with a storage chamber for his lunch.
In 1953, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in physics and graduated from Reed College
in Portland. Afterwards he went to work as a Physicist in General Electric s nearby
labs in Richland, Washington. There he started many experimental instrumentation
projects. He was one of the first to use a color TV screen and keyboard with a

He knew that if you could represent the binary 0 and 1 with dark and light, then a
device could be produced that is able to read sounds or any other information
without wearing it out and if he could make the binary compact enough he could
store a bunch on a small piece of film.
Bettelle let him pursue his project and in 1970, after years of work, he succeeded in
inventing the first digital to optical recording and playback system, the CD.
A CD is a simple round piece of plastic about 4/100ths of an inch thick, and 12
centimeters in diameter used for electronic recording, storing, and playback. Most of
a CD consists of an injection moulded piece of clear polycarbonate plastic. During
manufacturing, this plastic
is impressed with microscopic bumps arranged as a single, continuous, extremely
long spiral track of data circling from the inside of the disc to the outside. Once the
clear piece of polycarbonate is formed, a thin, reflective aluminum layer is put onto
the disc, covering the bumps. Then a thin acrylic layer is sprayed over the aluminum
to protect it, and the CD label is printed onto the acrylic. The compact disc was first
used for audio storage only, but are now used to store audio, video, text, and any
other information in digital form, and are able to hold 783 megabytes in all.
The CD works, because binary information is
Bp Oil Confirmation Bias
Confirmation bias describes our unconscious tendency to place more emphasis than
necessary on information that is consistent with our own beliefs, hypotheses, and
recent experiences and to disregard information that contradicts them (Meissner,
Sibony, Wulf, 2015). Then there is a bias of overconfidence which will cause
executives to misjudge their own abilities, as well as the proficiency of the
business. This will lead decision makers to imprudently take risks, because they
assume they will able to control outcomes. Biases prevented decisions makers from
seeing the situation clearly in the case of the BP oil spill. The biases affected the
way information was cognitively processed which caused a major lapse in judgment
which resulted in

whether or not to carry on with the proposed legislation or agree with the Councils
view on it .Then the council will be deemed to adopt the act in accordance with its
position Art 294(7)(a) TFEU. The Parliament can take different approaches within
the three month timeframe. The Parliament can reject the Council s perception if
they do so then the act would be considered not to have been implemented. This is
known as veto and prevents the bill becoming law. However in order for this
procedure to take place there must be a majority vote of the component members of
parliament. Or they can vote an majority vote to propose the amendments of the
future legislation which the council has proposed.
In my opinion I think that it is beneficial that the parliament can chose to make the
law veto as personally the parliament members are for the citizens of the European
Union therefore as they have the power of veto then they can ensure fair and
effective legislation is introduced into Europe and not just any old law which is only
really benefiting members of the Council. Although in order to make the law veto
there must be a majority which I personally
Professionalism, Integrity, Honesty, And Professionalism
Introduction/Purpose/Objective Professionalism in nursing provides an important
framework for the continual development and advancement in the nursing profession.
As healthcare providers, nurses are held to high standards of practice for providing
safe, effective, evidence based care to clients. As the healthcare system continuously
advances, the level of professionalism becomes crucially imperative to nurses and
other professionals. Throughout the years nursing has continuously been regarded as
one of the most trusted professions. As a result of this significant rating, it s
important for nurses to maintain integrity and honesty while upholding the core
values of their respective institutions to provide safe and effective patient centered
care (Olshansky, 2011, p. 193). As healthcare professionals, nurses must strive to
incorporate humanistic qualities such as integrity, honesty and compassion into their
respective field of practice. When nurses exhibit a sense of openness and trust into
their patient care, clients can have a sense of assurance that they re in safe hands,
gaining the client s trust paves the way for the client to trust their nurse as an
advocate who has their best interest. Nurses act as advocates for their clients, and
therefore, have a responsibility to voice their concerns when it comes to providing
quality care to their clients. Patient advocacy stems from the fact that they may need
extra support in order to secure their choices for

as: Oil spills from routine activities or accidental incidents; Oil poisons marine life,
and oil slicks keep sunlight from penetrating the ocean s water, killing plants and
damaging the entire marine ecosystem. Disposal of marine debris; Plastics thrown
into the sea can stay there for many years and harm marine life. A huge number of
marine animals die every year from either ingesting or becoming entangled in plastic

Virtual Learning Environments
Introduction
In the early days, education was available to those who were rich. Quite a large
number of people did not have the opportunity to learn. People learned in schools,
colleges and universities. Because of the advancement of the communication era
anyone can learn anywhere anyplace anytime.
VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
Learning is one of the most valuable skills that humans have, which is a continuous
process. Centuries ago people learned inside the walls of class rooms, buildings but
in the 21st century the way we learn or the environment we study are changing to
VLE s or e learning. Today people are using digital platforms and modern ways to
improve their learning.

E learning leads to increased retention and a stronger grasp on the subject (Obringer).
This is because many elements are combines with video, audio, quizzes, interaction,
etc. students tend to get bored and find it uninterested when lessons were presented
orally.
There are different ways VLE s can improve studying for distant Learners. Firstly,
online discussions and forums can be used for conversations and can be useful to
exchange ideas between other students. Questions can be posted in forums, and the
peers , e Tutor and facilitators can meet them online. For example, if a student has a
doubt or something that is not understood, posting it in the forums can be answered.
These online tutors are pleased to provide feedback 24 hours. Secondly the learning
materials can be viewed and used online. It is more cost effective and environment
friendly as it reduces the consumption of papers. Thirdly the digital library can be
particularly useful for researching and information gathering provided by the college.
This electronic library can be accessed overseas and is an essential resource to
students who are studying in a Virtual learning environment. Furthermore, tutors can
track the students progress, Notice boards and bulletin boards can be used to get
lecturers posts, administrative information, class notes or other material

A Social Class System
There is no way to deny that a social class system exists that divides people by
general popularity. Once children begin school, they begin to separate into these
divisions. The top of the social ladder, often considered to be people who are cool,
are stereotyped to be beautiful and happy. Although in some cases this may be
true, it is not always that way. Misconceptions about popularity lead to a greater
divide amongst the social classes, and cause those in the lower social levels to be
considered as or to feel as if they are inferior. Articles like one written by Christian
McBride, entitled Be Cool, published in This I Believe II, continue to develop the
false ideology that one must be popular in order to live a full, happy life. McBride
believes that, Being cool is not what you say or do, but how you say or do it,
(McBride 160) and due to the fact that, ... I sleep well at night, and work with
people who apparently like to work with me, (McBride, 158) he is cool himself. A
musician by trade, McBride works in a unique environment compared to the large
majority of American citizens. According to Business Insider, as of April 2014,
musician is not even one of the top ten most common jobs in the United States; with
the top three most common including retail salespersons, cashiers, and food
preparation and serving workers, (Weisenthal). The fact that his co workers
apparently enjoy working with him, would imply that every single person in the top

The For International Refugee Law
In order for International refugee law to function and satisfactorily benefit the people
it has challenged state sovereignty in some aspects. Regardless of the enforcement
laws signatory states have been able to keep authority over the flow of refugees
individually keeping their territorial supremacy. In my opinion refugeelaw has not
challenged the principle of state sovereignty enough as some people still seem to
fall within the cracks and are not afforded protection. States are still refusing to to
give a little of their power away in order to protect human rights. This essay is going
to be discussing the 1951 convention, internally displaced persons and the concept of
non refoulement in relation to the protection for forced migrants.... Show more

A prime example of the how restricted the definition is the case of Shah and Islam.
The court felt that women as a social is a too big a group. They narrowed the group
to women, that are married and allegedly committed adultery and said that they are a
social group. the concept of social group is a general one and its meaning cannot be
confined to those...which the framers of the Convention may have had in mind .
Some argued that the court in this case are trying to broaden the threshold however it
seems that they are further restricting it. Examples like these show that the threshold
is high and it doesn t seem like the courts are considering broadening it any time soon.
The definition is already restrictive and it goes further saying even if they satisfy the
conditions in the definition under section 1A, they can still lose the refugee status or
even be denied it under sections 1C 1F.
1F is the main provision that has the exclusion from refugee status. Though the
provision clearly states serious reasons for considering we are not sure how each
state would view that. There are two contrasting cases on this. One being the case of
Cruz v Minister of Employment and Immigration, where the member of Mexican
army who was involved in mass massacres was granted asylum in Canada. On the
other hand the case of T v Secretary of State

Q4. What are the major benefits of the wireless system over the previous wire line
one? Do you think the wire line systems will disappear from campuses one day? (Do
some research on the topic). A2. One of the major characteristics of the digital
economy is that the speed of the events is increasing rapidly. If you buy stocks or buy
airline tickets online, you get your confirmation in a second. Students and faculty
alike benefit from the advantages of a unified wired and wireless networking
solution. Key advantages include: Flexibility: With anytime, anywhere access to
resources, students can conduct schoolwork using wired and wireless clients in
indoor and outdoor settings the campus quad, cafeteria, student center, library, and
many other places around the campus. Similarly, wireless networking enables
instructors to deliver lessons outside the classroom, such as lab exercises in field
settings. E learning: Instructors can complement classroom instruction with online
The Unorthodox Restoration Of A Tarnished Image
I.Introduction
The Unorthodox Restoration of a Tarnished Image is an interesting topic when
dealing with professional athletes. Lebron James is currently in his 14th season in
the National Basketball Association (NBA). He spent his first seven seasons playing
for the Cleveland Cavaliers, just 39 miles from his hometown, Akron. After the 2009
2010 NBA season, James decided not to resign his contract with the Cleveland
Cavaliers and instead sign a contract with the Miami Heat. This decision led to
James joining forces with other NBA superstars such as Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade,
and Ray Allen. Later to become known as The Decision, James image was tarnished
for the way he abandoned his hometown team and became the villain of the NBA. ...

The paths that these athletes took were both similar and different from James .
The thesis will take an in depth look on the journey of Lebron James. From the
beginning days in Akron, the fame of his early days in Cleveland, to his villain
days in Miami and back up the mountain to being a hero in Cleveland, it will all be
discussed. Lebron James is not only a once in a life time type of athlete, but once in
a life time person and businessman as well. The tactics and lessons one can learn
from his strategies are infinite.
II.Beginning of the Brand The story of Lebron is known by many, but those who
see the famous professional athlete with a superstar status usually do not know
what he came from. On December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio, Lebron Raymone
James was born. His mother, Gloria James, was only 16 years old at the time and
his father, Anthony McClelland, was an ex convict with zero interest in becoming
a parent. With Gloria struggling from addiction and never keeping a steady job,
she and Lebron moved from apartment to apartment during his childhood. In the
fourth grade, Lebron moved in with his township football coach, Frankie Walker
(JockBio, 2016). Life was not easy for James growing up, but he was lucky enough
to have others surrounding him to help him rise. He played basketball at Saint
Vincent Saint Mary s High School where he would become a legend. A few of his
high school accolades include USA Today

What Are The Pros And Cons Of The Pre-Workout
Supplements...
Introduction
My Research task is based on the effects that Pre workout and Post workout
supplements have on the body. There is much debate in the body building and
fitness world as to whether these supplements can be harmful and if they make a
difference in performance and outcome in training. My aim is to determine whether
Pre workout and Post workout have negative or positive effects on the body and
whether they make a positive or negative difference on one s training. My hypothesis
is that Pre workout and Post workout have mainly positive effects on the body and
that these supplements will have a positive effect on one s training.
A pre workout is designed to help you perform better for longer. They are also
designed to increase energy levels, while assisting in muscle blood flow, recovery,
protein synthesis and more, but the main function is increased blood flow to the
working muscles. Pre workout is found in many different forms such as powders,
tablets or pills and gels.
Whilst a post workout is used to replace nutrients lost while exercising. Post workout

strength and muscular endurance. Pre workout supplements provide more energy
which increase the time till fatigue. It states that supplements containing caffeine, B

heart to be at a dangerously fast rate and cause an irregular heart beat as the product
is used for aerobic exercise. If a person has any previous medical conditions to do
with the heart they should not take pre workout supplements. A patient should ask
medical advice before consuming a pre workout otherwise there could be negative

context for the exception.
While each ordinance had a particular punishment if not followed accordingly, all
the ordinances in place which focused on death, burials, and how to process dead
bodies did not apply to burials of knights, doctors of law, judges, and doctors of
physics (p.198). Their bodies can be honoured by their heirs at their burials in any
way they please. (p. 198). They were exempted from following the same
ordinances as other habitants of Pistoia. Knights, lawyers, judges, and physicians
were all held in high regards with respect to the social ladder (p. 147 Murphy). For
instance, university trained physicians were considered the best choice in terms of
medical practitioners in terms of treating those affected by the plague . There were
at the height of the social and professional ladder. Their job consisted of diagnosing
and examining infected individuals as well as inspecting the quality of the drugs
stocked by apothecaries . Physicians would work with officials to determine which
measures should be used such to lessen the spread of the plague, thought to be
transmitted by person to person (p. 148 Murphy). Because officials were part of the
government, they could have probably overthrown an ordinance and given university
trained physicians less limitations . In essence, allowing them to have a proper burial

Tennessee Williams life and A Street Car Named Desire Tennessee Williams was

moved to Illinois when he was seven years old. He later attended the University of

including winning two Pulitzer Prizes. Williams had many struggles in his life that
he was able to make the key inspiration of his plays. In A Street Car Named Desire

Conscientiously on the later plays while charting Williams s increasing
dependence on drugs, alcohol, and the kindness as well as the perceived cruelties
of friends and lovers (Eisen 861). Williams s problems can be traced back to one
thing, death. Williams lost his sister, father, grandfather, and lover during his life
time and did not take any of them very well. There is no worse pain in William s
world than that felt when looking back on life and feeling only emptiness (Skloot
203). Williams was hurt by this feeling, and he started doing drugs and alcohol.
Like Williams, Blanche has a similar journey. Blanche, like many of Williams s
protagonists, suffers from guilt over the disgust she expressed when she
discovered her young husband with another man. Her husband subsequently
committed suicide (Adler 7). Blanche is haunted by the death of her husband and
struggles with losing him. Blanche also lost more than just her husband. I took the
blows in my face and my body! All of those deaths! The long parade to the
graveyard! Father, Mother! Margaret (Mays 1785). Blanche obviously was
devastated with all the deaths she had to endure while her sister had left her and
moved away. Like Williams, Blanche starts increasing her use of alcohol. She is
seen many times in A Street Car Named Desire with heavy alcohol. Just water, baby,

readers an in depth insight into the life of the United State s first vice president and
second president, John Adams by providing factual letters, quotes, and experiences
from John Adams and the people whom he loved and cared about dearly. It was
written to give the reader a better understanding about the character of John Adams,
decisions he made during his presidency, and the sacrifices he made to better the
United Statesof America. The book also describes how difficult it was to live in the
late eighteenth century with challenges such as diseases, slavery, and constant

John saw his father as a role model in his life because he admired his dad s
character. The loss of Deacon John to the Influenza epidemic had tremendous
impact on not only his family, but many families in Braintree, with the disease
spreading rapidly. However, John did not let the death of his father drag him into
depression but moved on with a want of strength and courage (53). Adams, a
supporter of the Patriot movement, began to feel Britain did not have Americans in
their best interests. He felt the Stamp Acts were a tactic used to oppress the
American people. Foreign powers can not be expected to acknowledge us, till we
have acknowledged ourselves and taken our station among them as a sovereign
power, an independent nation, Adams wrote, explaining the importance of American
independence as a nation (99). Adams became a delegate from Massachusetts in the
First Continental Congress in 1774 and the Second Continental Congress in 1775
(22). Though Adams was sick with a severe cold and suffering from rheumatism, he
still worked long days as the head of many committees, making him a driving force
behind the American Revolution. When King George III rejected the Olive Branch
Petition, which was America s last ditch to make peace with England it was John
Adams who drafted rules and regulations for the navy (100). Adams would also go on

Automatic Weapon Ban
Automatic Weapon Ban
July 20th, 2012, twelve are killed and fifty eight are injured at a movie theater in
Aurora, Colorado. The man who killed them used a semi automatic rifle with a one
hundred round magazine. An automatic weapon has no use in the United States
because all sporting events, and activities with guns can be accomplished without
automatic weapons. It is important because it limits the possibilities of events like
the shooting at the Sandusky school in Ohio. Some would say they are a good for
shooting range activity and most people don t commit crimes with them, getting rid
of automatic weapons would get rid of the crimes committed with them overall.
People die because of the actions taken with with assault rifles. Automatic weapons
should be banned in the US because they are not needed for self defense, and they
have almost no use in recreational activities.
A shotgun can offer just as much or even more protection than an automatic
weapon because birdshot, which is a type of shotgun shell, fires multiple little balls
at once. A person would only need one of these shots because it has a good radius.
Inside a home, it is all close quarters, which removes the use of a long range weapon
like an automatic rifle. It is better to have a gun that shoots a radius of projectiles to
protect yourself. James D. Torr. stated, A gun is used for protection in less than two
percent of home invasion crimes (web). An automatic weapon would not be as
efficient because it only

Women s Rights Of Women
I The history of women s rights is significant today because without the women
having their rights, America wouldn t be as developed as it it.
I chose this topic because Women s rights and their ability to be more free has
affected not only America, but every country that allows their women to be who they
are, do what they desire, and let them express themselves. When they were given their
rights, women had taken over everything for the better. They were creating success in
every aspect, women were modernizing and helping America every step.
Women s rights are important because without women getting their rights, there
wouldn t have been any big modernization in America. America would have been

Some good hearted, well thinking men, such as John Stuart Mill, and other
philosophers, had joined the NWRC. By 1896 the National Women Suffrage
Association led by Alice Paul, had created the aspiration of giving women the right to
vote, and they encouraged women to work outside of their home and stop doing all
the domestic tasks. This declaration, the National Women s Rights Convention, and
the National Women Suffrage Association, all had helped women become more
social and gave them some political power to decide who they want as their leader.
Which slowly gave women the confidence to talk to a man without being frightened.
Later on the dream of the National Women Suffrage Association and National Women

Eating Disorders And Eating Disorders
A relapse, simply put, is a period of deterioration after a period of recovery.
Sometimes relapse creeps up on you over time while other times it seems to explode
in your face and take over your life in one fell swoop. It can happen for a variety of
reasons from boredom to grief, trauma, or any other trigger. The tricky part of relapse
is that many people get used to these periods of deterioration and struggle, accepting
that this is their ultimate reality while feeling completely defeated and powerless.
In regards to eating disorders specifically, a relapse may include these signs or
symptoms:
skipping meals, starting a new diet, becoming unusually rigid about eating (such as
the time of day, type of food, or location), avoidance of specific foods for no reason,
and/or labeling foods weighing or measuring yourself often choosing to be alone and
binge, restrict, purge, or over exercise lying to others about what you re eating

allows the users to use charts graphys and also implement advanced security measures
to make sure information is secured. Robust security and
The Terror Known as Robespierre
Robespierre was one of the most significant men throughout the period of the
French Revolution; he had such an immense amount of power that he was able to
have rivals of the revolution put to death. Robespierre s power came from his
joining of the Committee of Public Safety (CSP), whose original job was to deal
with diplomacy and warfare with foreign enemies; though under Robespierre s
power, the CSP became a part of the government which dealt with internal policing,
which got in the way of the jurisdiction of the Committee of General Security
(CSG). The job of the CSG was to remove and discipline enemies of the revolution,
though they ended up competing with the CSP for power over this matter. With
this influence from his place in the CSP, he climbed a social ladder to becoming
both extremely influential as well as difficult to remove from control. Despite the
fact that Robespierre held a great deal of power, his authority eventually declined
and led to his death: while working within the CSP, he ordered countless
individuals to be guillotined whether or not people on the outside of the conflict
viewed them as deserving of such punishment: in one instance, he put to death
several people that he viewed as anti revolutionary: Georges Jacques Danton, Lucie
Simplice Desmoulins, Jean François Delacroix, and Pierre Philippeaux.
Robespierre did not leave this up to the CSG whose job was to punish this type of
people and because of this, he gained the reputation of a tyrant he

Herbal and Alternative Remedies
HERBAL AND ALTERNATIVE MEDICATIONS
Herbal remedies come from plants. If possible, choose a remedy which has been
standardized, i.e. the contents are approximately the same in each bottle or tablet you
buy. Plant remedies are not always safer than ordinary medicines. All of them can
have side effects and interact with other medicines. Supplements include vitamins,
minerals and animal and plant products, such as cod liver oil. They can also have
side effects and interact with other medicines. Some people take supplements, like
vitamin C in high doses, but this can damage the liver or kidneys. Many supplements
have a recommended daily intake (RDI), or allowance (RDA). Do not go beyond this
dose without talking to an experienced health professional.
CAMs and mental health problems:
Many CAMs have been used for mental health problems, but there is little good
evidence to support their use. Some of these treatments may work, but most have not
been thoroughly tested. The studies have often been too small to give a clear answer.
We know most about the treatments for depression, anxiety and insomnia. Despite
the lack of evidence, people all over the world take CAMs, and many report that they
find them helpful. Ultimately, whether taking CAMs is a good idea depends on
individual circumstances. We recommend that you talk to your GP or mental health

The Death Of A Rush Hour Horde
The air was heavy with the smell of beer, fumes of cigarettes, smoke stacks from
the large industrial work buildings, and a foul stench reaping from the human labor
of long hours, and hard days. The infamous rush hour horde scurried from cab to
bus to train station all seeking an outlet of relief after a long day, whether it be at a bar
or where they respectively reside. Jensen, a weary man with enough corrugation
throughout his faceresulting from the tireless stress making him look 20 years older
than he truly was, was sitting on a beaten down wooden bar stoolwith one of those
typical red cushions, sleeves rolled up, tie distorted, wiping the grease of his face,
and attempting to signal the bartender, of whom always was scowling.
Hey there, stranger, the woman just out of his peripheral view had said.
At first he didn t even acknowledge it; just another voice among the many in the
distance. He was just kicking his stool in with his big brown work boots and was on
the way to his friends at a nearby table, when he suddenly heard that same woman s
voice again:
Hi stranger
But this time, she had come so close to his ear that he could feel her warm breath
upon him. Abruptly stopping in his tracks towards the table, he was now intrigued by
this voice, thinking:
Why was this woman speaking to me? Where did I know her from?
Jensen turned. He wouldn t have recognized the voice or the face if any further. She
looked aged, huge bags under her eyes and almost too skinny.
Internet History, Security And Technology
Internet history, security and technology are one of our generations technological

This is my own personal perspective that showed and clearly stated about the benefit
of this development and what is the positive and the negative that potential influence
the world.
What is an advantage of internet technology globally ? Surprisingly an internet

who has a father and meets many famous Native American figures and he gets to

During his flight he also witnesses a great battle, the torturing and dismantling of

The Vanquished Auguste Rodin Essay
Auguste Rodin was born in Paris in on November 12, 1840. He was born into a
poor family and his father was a policeman. Although he was a talented artist as a
teenager, he lacked encouragement which made him choose a different career.
Rodin worked as a bricklayer for 20 years. Then he went to Italy and during his
stay he found inspiration there. On his return to Paris, he sculpted his first major
piece, The Age of Bronze , originally named The Vanquished . Rodin said that,
Much as I love the Greeks, there is one thing I love more and that is nature. (AMA
130). This is very true of his sculptures. Although there is the presence of a body you
can see the true nature of emotion through it.
School was hard for Rodin because he had a hard time reading, but he took interest
in drawing. He started taking art classes when he turned 13. This is when students
and teachers gave him no recognition on his art and Rodin started doubting himself.
At 17 years old, he applied ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Italy is known for the deep art history with artists like Michelangelo, Donatello, and
Raphael to name just a few. Rodin was inspired so much by these artists that he
made his first major piece, The Vanquished . It was made in 1876 and stands at six
feet tall, making it a life size sculpture of a nude man. This sculpture showed his
attention to such detail that when people came to see this sculpture they did not
like how real it looked. People rumored that it was a fake sculpture. In the 1800 s
art had to be made for a reason and it had to have a theme. It does not represent most
art from that time that had to with mythology. With its lack of purpose critics did not
see The Vanquished as real art. All of the criticisms made him change the name to
The Age of Bronze . This also led to changing his style from something realistic to
more naturalistic abstracted ideas. To do this he stopped being detailed and showed
the inner turmoil s of human emotion through their
CAFE Synthesis Essay
In 1975, the United States Congress enacted The Corporate Average Fuel Economy
(CAFE) standards, which are a series of regulations that were placed on domestic
automobile manufacturers to create more fuel efficient cars. CAFE standards were
created as a result of the Arab Oil Embargo, a primary catalyst for the 1973 oil crisis
that created a shortage of fuel across the United States. Since its enactment, CAFE
standards have been inefficient and inequitable because most Asian car manufacturers
beat the standard, European car manufacturers sometimes meet the standard (and pay
the penalty otherwise), while the majority of domestic car manufacturers struggle to
meet the standard. Instead of investing in new technology, manufacturers have

Seamus Heaney Blackberry-Picking Essay
Seamus Heaney s poem Blackberry Picking uses very compelling word choice. There
are many things I noticed within it that are interesting.
First, Heaney uses first person plural pronouns for most of the poem, implying that
there was another person picking berries with the narrator. We trekked... , ...our
boots. , Our hands... , he uses these pronouns a lot, so it is obvious the narrator
wasn t alone. This may be an important, easily overlooked clue to the theme of the
poem. The lesson of the poem is, stated loosely, the best things in life don t last
forever, and this second character may have to do something with that. Almost all
references to this second character appear in the first stanza. The second stanza has
only one brief mention of another person right at the beginning of the line with We
hoarded the fresh berries in the byre. This is the last time Heaney mentions this
second person. Immediately after this line, the mood of the poem shifts to a more
melancholy, sad tone. One possibility is could be that the narrator loved this second
person (the happy, playful tone in the first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The poem doesn t seem odd at first, but by looking at the specific words used, it
seems a little off. Heaney uses words like clot , flesh , blood , tongue , lust , hunger ,
on top big dark blobs burned like a plate of eyes , palms sticky as Bluebeard s. These
are awfully odd, unsettling words to use. I wouldn t describe blackberries on a bush
as a glossy purple clot. It is uncomfortable and unsettling to even read. I wouldn t
describe the outside of a berry as flesh , and I wouldn t describe the juice of it as
summer s blood. There has to be some reason that Heaney used this kind of word
choice. At first read the poem sounds beautiful, but the more you read it the more,
almost disgusting it is. It seems like Heaney specifically used unnerving word choice

Ethics in Mission and Safety Critical Software...
Ethics in Mission and Safety Critical Software Engineering
Engineering has a direct and vital impact on the quality of life for all people. 1 It is
by this premise that engineering codes of ethics have been written to outline
professional standards for both managers and engineers. Exhibiting the highest
standards of honesty and integrity are imperative for the protection of public health,
safety, and welfare.2 When ethical principles are compromised, the risk of
endangering others greatly increases, especially with mission and safety critical
systems. Extreme consequences include not only complete mission failures and great
financial loss, but also fatalities. Though most engineering accidents are associated
with aerospace, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though the Code is to be viewed as a body of work and different parts are not meant
to be used in isolation, concentrating on these particular principles shed the most light
on how past software engineering accidents could have been avoided. Principle 3
outlines all the professional practice guidelines for Product. These include:
. Ensuring that, as a software engineer, you are qualified to work on a particular
project
. Ensuring that the appropriate method is used for the project
. Ensuring adequate testing
. Maintaining data integrity
. Treating all maintenance with the same professionalism as new development
. And many others (Click here for all Principle 3 guidelines).4
Principle 5 outlines all the professional practice guidelines for Management. This
applies to all managers and leaders of software engineers. It is important to note the
management/engineer relationship, as success depends on both sides. Though the
ultimate authority over business decisions lies with management, they must still be
willing to listen to any of the engineers concerns during the process, and duly take
this into account. The relationship also works the other direction, in that management
will not know of any problems unless accurately reported by the engineers. Open and
honest communication is key for ethical engineering. The guidelines for management
detailed in Principle 5 include:
Ensuring that software engineers know the standards
Power In Pathetic Assassin
Pathetic Assassin is a short story written to illustrate the theme of power with the
ultimate goal being to entertain. The story is intended for an older audience
provided that it contains mature elements. As for the message of the story, one
prominent interpretation could be Sooner or later, your cowardice is going to be
your biggest regret . The theme of power has been addressed in various ways. First
and foremost, during the orientation of the story, I have established the power of
position and heredity of the owner of the letter by stating how he is the Shogun

My Clinical Experience Essay
It started with angiogenesis!
I was first amazed by this concept in my medical school, how the cells would
aggregate to form new blood vessels. I sensed my propensity to look at nature with
precision and concentrate on the minute and dynamic phenomena. The understanding
of the complex interplay of homeostatic mechanisms and critical decision making
process propelled me towards Internal Medicine. During my internal medicine
rotation, I came across a patient with a rare disease of protein S deficiency
presenting with painful deep vein thrombosis and acute Budd Chiari syndrome. My
mentor took the clinical decision of getting her imaging and a cardiology opinion
for stenting. The procedure was successful and she happened to meet me after 3
months of anticoagulation. It was a sheer joy to see her relieved of pain and a
learning experience to be proactive in our approach. I also imbibed the virtue of
empathy and responding to the needs of ailing patients. ... Show more content on

In these endeavors, I was constantly supported by my colleagues. We were able to
establish a good rapport so as to work as an efficient team. We hailed from different
cultures, however, we were unified through a sense of equality and mutual respect. I
also gravitated towards clinical research and participated in randomized clinical trials
on septic shock and acute cardiovascular events. Both of these diseases were
significant contributors to mortality and morbidity in our population. I was involved
in patient recruitment, counseling and monitoring treatment response. This enhanced
my clinical and communication skills, besides the understanding of the ethics
inherent to a clinical trial. Over the years, I have been able to develop the skills of
multitasking and resourcefulness to accomplish my academic and research
Labelling Theory And Its Impact On Society
Rather than taking a glance at why some social groups carry out more crime, the
labelling theory inquires as to why a few individuals carrying out some activities
come to be characterized as deviant, while others may not. Labelling theory is
likewise intrigued by the impacts of labelling on people. Many theorists note that
the vast majority carry out crime sooner or later in their lives however not
everybody gets to be characterized as a deviant or a criminal. So how can this
procedure of characterizing a person as deviant work? This essay will highlight the
main features of the labelling theory and evaluate its contribution to the research
of crime and deviance. The labelling theory gets to be overwhelming in the 1960s
and 1970s when it was utilized as a sociological idea of crime compelling in testing
orthodox positivist criminology. The key individuals to this theory were Becker
and Lemert. The establishments of this viewpoint of deviance are said to have
been initially settled by Lemert, (1951) and were in this manner created by Becker,
(1963).As an obvious reality the labelling theory has along these lines turned into a
predominant worldview in the explaining of deviance. The symbolic cooperation
point of view was to a great degree dynamic in the early establishments of the
labelling theory. It is constituted by the belief that deviant conduct is to be seen not
just as the violation of a norm but rather as any conduct which is effectively
characterized or named as
Over Indulgence In Materialistic Views In The Veldt By
Ray...
Many people would argue that society has become oblivious to the side effects of
indulging in materialistic objects. Although Ray Bradbury wrote the story The
Veldt over 50 years ago, he discusses this timeless issue of people caring more for
materialistic objects than each other. In Bradbury s short story The Veldt , the
children in the family, Wendy and Peter, have relied on the technological objects
they have too much, and will do anything to keep them despite being told no by
their parents, George and Lydia. Through the use of imagery, motifs and
foreshadowing Ray Bradbury proves that over indulgence in materialistic views can
have grave consequences. Ray Bradbury uses foreshadowing to prove that over
indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences. For example on page
3, Bradbury hints that the children will do something bad because he writes, When I
punished him a month ago by locking the nursery... the tantrum he threw (Bradbury
3). The reader continues to grow worried about Peter and Wendy s behavior when
there are screams coming from the nursery. Therefore, Bradbury establishes that
the children are overly connected to their tech not their own parents. That is why
it is not surprising to the reader when the kids lock their parents in the nursery to
get them killed. This is shows foreshadowing works in proving that over
indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences by showing that in
this perfect utopia, this is the first that the reader has heard anything about a
kerfuffle between the children and the parents. Another reason why, is the parents
are talking about turning the whole house off for a month which is a lot longer
than a few hours. In conclusion Bradbury uses the dark hints of the parent s demise
to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences,
by showing that when people become too reliable on the things that they can hold,
and as soon as they are taken away, we have no idea what to do without them. Ray
Bradbury uses motifs to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have
grave consequences. For example on page 5 George, the father, is walking down the
hall and hears a scream coming from the nursery. The sound
The Irish Potato Famine In Europe
Irish Potato Famine
The Irish potato famine started in 1845 and lasted for 6 years, killed over 1 million
men, women , and children. The other million people left the country. It was caused
by a disease among the potatoes called late blight that destroys the leaves and roots.
The potato famine was the worst assurance in Europe.People tried to relieve the

after the potatoes died. The hunger caused lots of deaths throughout ireland.Food
depots closed and the selling of Indian corn began to get money for the country. The
Irish famine was the worst thing to come to Europe in the 19th century. The farmers

Analyzing The Theme Of Friendships In Shakespeare s...
There is nothing on earth more to be prized than true friendships. Its midsummer

hardships, but will remain strong if true.
Even though Hermia and Helena are best friends, Helena will do anything for
Demetrius. I will go tell him of fair Hermia flight (shakespeare 1.1.20 21). Helena
and Hermia are best friends, but Helena loves Demetrius, so will tell Demetrius about
Hermia running away. Helena says that if she tells Demetrius about Hermia running

Hermia isn t the one for him. Best friends are like sisters, you tell everything to. The

Examples Of Archetypes In The Dead By James Joyce
Readers that want to analyze the characters in the text can do so through the character
archetypal theory to further understand the text and the characters in the text. When
viewing the text from a character archetypal perspective, a reader may look at the
literary work to understanding the characters better. Moreover, archetypal character
theory helps the reader understand the characters` enthusiasm and the reasons for
what they do. Therefore, looking at James Joyce`s The Dead , a reader may look at
the characters with various character archetypes, such as, Miss Ivors, with the patriot
archetype, Gabriel with the innocent archetype, and Greta with the good wife
archetype.
Undoubtedly, Miss Ivors is a patriot to her country of Ireland and ... Show more

Understandingly, Gabriel possesses the innocent character archetypal theory and the
innocent character never really discerns what he has said to infuriate the people
about him. One example is when Gabriel teases Lily, naГЇvely, about having a
boyfriend. Gabriel does this by saying O, then... I suppose we ll be going to your
wedding one of these fine days with your young man, eh? (Joyce 2). Then, after
hearing Lily`s response to Gabriel`s unintentional insult against Lily`s and her life,
Gabriel thinks to himself that he had made a mistake, but did not know what,
because of his innocence towards his atmosphere. Also in Gabriel`s conversations
with Miss Ivors, Gabriel leaves Miss Ivors with shedding tears before she leaves
the party running embarrassed. Miss Ivors sobbed in her native language Beannacht
libh, cried Miss Ivors, with a laugh, as she ran down the staircase (Joyce 10). At this
time Gabriel questions if he was the cause of Miss Ivors abrupt departure, but the
innocent character sees Miss Ivors laugh and assumes that it was not him that had
caused her leave in an unexpected manner. In this way, using character archetypal
theory of innocence, a reader may examine Gabriel to be confused all the time and
often act rude to the people around him, without him actually knowing of

Internal And External And Internal Pressure On Media...
External and Internal Pressure on Media Journalists
Journalists are professional people, trying to work within a code of professional
ethics. However, journalists cannot operate in a vacuum, doing what they think is
right without pressures being put on them. Journalists face pressure from a variety of
sources, all trying to make the journalist behave in a way which is not the way the
journalist would choose.
Employer:
Your boss pays your salary. In return, they expect to say how you will do your job.
This can lead to ethical problems for journalists.
If you work for a government owned news organization, then your government will
be your employer. This could make it very difficult for you to report critically on
things which the government is doing.
Ministers will often put pressure on public service journalists to report things which
are favorable to the government (even when they are not newsworthy) and not to
report ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, a journalist who is deeply opposed to capital punishment may be writing
a story about crime. In the course of gathering the information, they may interview
somebody who calls for the death penalty as the answer to increasing crime. The
journalist may be tempted not to report these comments, and to leave the question of
capital punishment out of the story. This would clearly be unethical.
It is as bad to censor the news to suit your own views as it is to censor the news to
please your family, or clan, or tribe. This is contrary to the most fundamental
principle of free speech that we may disagree with what somebody says, but that we
must fight to defend their right to say it. See Chapter 57: Fairness for a fuller
discussion of this principle.
It is not only the things you really believe in which may cause problems. Some
journalists accept contracts to advertise products, as a way of earning some extra
money. You must think carefully before you do
Analysis Of Shot In The Heart By Gary Gilmore
Shot in the Heart is the shocking story of the life of Gary Gilmore which serves as
a portrait of how his parents histories of violence, combined with the violence and
fear in his everyday life contributed to the notoriety of Gary Gilmore who we know
today as a cold blooded murderer, and the only prisoner who demanded the
implementation of his death sentence for his crimes. In this essay, I will discuss
how Bessie Gilmore s Mormon teachings to her sons of Mormon legends as well as
his father Gary Gilmore s regular beatings of his boys as well as his criminal and
generally violent histories contributed to development of Gary Gilmore s own
criminal and personal history. When considering what makes a person do the things

Hanging or imprisonment would not suffice for punishment or restitution.
(GILMORE 17 BOOK OF MORMON) Smith continues in the Book of Mormon to
explain that to forgive an ultimate sin, the blood of the person who committed the
sin must be spilled on the ground as an offer to God. In other words, these boys
were taught by their own mother to fear God and that we, as human beings, are
forever indebted to him. Rather than being taught to worship, the boys were taught
to remember important parts of Mormon history such as the Mountain Meadow
Massacre which led eventually to the division of Mormons into good or bad saints.
Mormonism encouraged the killing of those who belonged to the bad saints. In
this massacre, farms were burned, men and children were murdered and often
women were raped, often by the direction of state militiamen. (17) While it was
true that Bessie may have been contributing to the initial factors which may have
sparked Gary s desire or destiny to become a criminal, she was very hopeful when
it came to her son, Gary in terms of the destiny he had in store, but as it turns out,
this is likely for her own benefit. Perhaps [Gary] was the one who might act out her
rage for her, and avenge all the years of abuse and exclusion she had suffered during
life in Utah. If ever a mother had a son who might pay back the legacies of her past,
then that alliance was Bessie and Gary Gilmore.

Abstract
Rapidly Expanding market for biodiesel has increased the supply and reduced the
cost of glycerol, making it an attractive sustainable feed stock for the fuel and
chemical Industry. The conversion of glycerol may be carried out by both chemical
as well as biological means. Many microorganisms are known to convert glycerol to
value added products. This study involved the isolation of bacteria from soil sample

improve on mankind s view of the great planet.
The main objective of the Juno spacecraft is to investigate the formation of Jupiter s
atmosphere, and the amount of water and nitrogen the planet contains, to consider
whether people could live there. The second objective is to examine the diversity in
the deep atmosphere of Jupiter, relating to meteorology, atmospheric dynamics, etc.
The third ambition of Juno is to study the structure of Jupiter s magnetic field, the

Oakdale Mismanagement Project Analysis
I examined the City of Oakdale redevelopment project and found mismanagement and
ethical violations that resulted in exacerbated cost for the local government. Angela
Donny, the city manager, contracted out the development project without proper
deliberation (Hill and Lynn, 2014:370) and procedures, thus violating the city s code
of conduct and undermining the resident s trust on elected representatives and city s

unnecessary cost associated with continuing the project. In the long run, if the
project is continued, the taxes would have to be raised and the quality of the
services would be reduced to implement the redevelopment project. 4.Initiate a new

project initiated by the previous administration is ill planned and undermines the

fiscal condition of the city into account would ensure that new economic activity

Crafting a compelling essay requires a deep understanding of the various perspectives, ethical considerations, legal frameworks, and societal implications surrounding abortion rights and reproductive health. Firstly, navigating the emotional terrain is daunting. Addressing these sensitivities with empathy and respect while presenting a coherent argument is crucial but difficult. Secondly, the topic intersects with a multitude of disciplines, including ethics, law, medicine, sociology, and politics. Incorporating these diverse perspectives into a cohesive narrative requires extensive research, critical analysis, and synthesis of complex ideas. Moreover, the evolving nature of laws and public opinion adds another layer of complexity, demanding the essay to be both current and nuanced in its analysis. Furthermore, the task of maintaining objectivity while discussing such a polarizing issue is challenging. • 2. Reflection Paper Change is apart of everyday life, it is inevitable no matter what we do, but it is our choice as people on if we want these changes to be negative or positive. A few years back, I made a promise to myself that as I progress through life, I will always try my best to change for the better and fix myself in areas where I fall behind, but not everyone makes the choice to be better. Some make a choice that affects who they are in a negative way as well as hurting those closest to them, someone I used to hang out made that decision and that caused me to change my perspective on him. Ever since I was a young child, I enjoyed playing video games whether they be single player, online, learning (Eh, not always so much), etc. I played online games with friends of mine and my older brother, one of those being a guy I know named Chris. I have known Chris since I was around 11 and played online games with him and my brother all the time. His girlfriend Janelle, who later became his wife, also joined us in playing these games. As time went on I became more and more fond of Chris and Janelle and when I was 14 was when I visited them for the first time at their house in Grand Rapids, and it was an absolute blast. At this time, it was more so that I was good friends with them and my brother Christian, was off at college and didn t talk to these guys much. Skip ahead a little under a year to March of 2016, I had been at their house and Chris told me to check this game out that he had, called
  • 3. The Symbol of Blood in William Shakespeare s Macbeth... The Symbol of Blood in William Shakespeare s Macbeth Blood represents life, death and often injury. It is an essential part of life, and without blood, we could not live. In Macbeth, Shakespeare uses the symbol of blood to represent treachery, murder and death. The word blood , or different forms of it, appear numerous times throughout the play. Interestingly, the symbol of blood changes throughout the play, corresponding to the atmosphere and mood changes in the characters and the play. First, blood is a reference of honor, and this occurs when Duncan sees the injured sergeant and says, What bloody man is that? (1.2.1). This is symbolic of the brave fighter who been injured in a valiant battle for Scotland. The sergeant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lady Macbeth starts this off when she asks the spirits to make thick [her] blood (1.5.50). What she is saying by this, is that she wants to make herself insensitive and remorseless for the deed she is hoping to commit. However, she forces Macbeth to do the deed. Right before killing Duncan, Macbeth sees a dagger floating in the air leading him to Duncan?s room and he sees on the blade and dudgeon gouts of blood (2.1.58), indicating that the knife has been viciously stabbed into someone. This is a Lady Macbeth knows that the evidence of blood is a treacherous symbol, and knows it will deflect the guilt from her and Macbeth to the servants when she says If he do bleed, I?ll gild the faces of the grooms withal, for it must seem their guilt (2.2.71 73). When Banquo states and question this most bloody piece of work (2.3.150), and Ross asks is?t known who did this more than bloody deed? (2.4.31), they are both inquiring as to who performed the treacherous acts upon Duncan. When Macbeth is speaking about Malcolm and Donalbain, he refers to them as bloody cousins A final way, and perhaps the most vivid use of the symbol blood, is of the theme of guilt. First Macbeth hints at his guilt when he says Will all great Neptune?s ocean wash this blood clean from my hand? (2.2.78), meaning that he wondered if he would ever be able to forget the dastardly deed that he had committed. Then the ghost of Banquo, all gory, and bloody comes to haunt Macbeth at the

How long would it take to download such a movie over: a)a T1 connection b)a T3 connection c)a cable modem with 2Mbps connection d)a telephone modem of 56Kbps Answer #1: Before specifically talk about how long the 2.4GB will take to completely get downloaded, I would like to talk about the difference between Byte (B) and bits (b) first. A bit is a single number or a single value which can be either 0 or 1 and this value is represent the digital information. A byte is a sequence of bits; like a sequence of digital information, usually eight bits equals to one byte. Sexism and Women s Rights are a global issue, that affects more than just woman themselves. Even in the United States, commonly known as the Land of the Free , ironically is empowered by the Statue of Liberty, which presents false ideas that women are well respected in this country and provided with equal rights. Even though America has still not reached gender equality, I do agree with those who claim that American women have substantially grown in society and contradicted many stereotypes. In places like Afghanistan, women are not to go anywhere without the approval of men. There are who try to escape their abusive husbands are thrown in jail. Though a jail sentence may seem tragic, many feel that if they were to ever be let out would be killed. In Armenia when women try to inform authorities of the abuse they are experiencing at home, they are asked what they did to deserve their beating, or are sent home because wife beating is a family matter. (Source two) Home is supposed to be where one is most comfortable. Home is supposed to be where one feels safe, it is not a place that anyone should fear or feel the need to run away from. Resistance is commonly understood as a rejection to accept and comply with something that causes doing in opposition to the current events. Resistance movement is an organized effort by some part of people of a country to resist the legally established government or an occupying power and to disrupt civil order and stability. I believe in the resistance as I believe there can be no light without shadow; or rather, no shadow unless there is also light. (149) Resistance is related to power, and power is possible to understand as relational and multiple in networks of productive interactions. Resistance is not by itself evil or destructive , as well as not basically good , progressive or democratic . We have to acknowledge that not only do fascist or religious fundamentalist resistance exist but are common examples of how people try to undermine established power relations. ... It also became a rejection of the right wing politics of Vichy, and, most difficult of all, a rejection of the mythic status and popularity of Petain. It was a battle for the liberation of the country, but it was also a battle for the minds and hearts of the French people, and many Resisters have said that breaking the hold of Petainism was the most formidable task in the first two years. After November 1942 it was easier, for in that month the Germans occupied the whole of France and Petain insisted on staying as head of what was now quite openly a subservient regime. But sympathy, support, and even adoration, for Petain lived on. It still exists among a dedicated minority

The first step in implementing or improving a merit pay program is to have a solid performance management program, and this is another way a merit pay program is beneficial. Merit pay is a way to be successful and effectively implement merit pay with a uplift in salaries, and this is a third way using a merit pay program is beneficial to an organization. There are some drawbacks when using merit pay programs, such as paying some employees more than others. If you pay high performing workers more than low performing employees, the high performers may stay, causing the low performers to complain or leave the organization. A second drawback in using merit pay program is that employees become less motivated if not paid to their satisfaction. For example, if employees feel they should be making more money for their performance, this causes them to have low self esteem, and want to find employment at other organization. When he returns, from the Devachanic world, his own consciousness soul, intellectual, and sentient soul are permeated with the vibrations of the Devachanic realm; he has these within himself, and with them he penetrates the physical world. When man has absorbed these vibrations, they enable him to work from his sentient soulonto the sentient body and the etheric body. Having brought these vibrations of Devachan along with him, man can convey them to his etheric body, which then resonates with these vibrations. When a person hears music, the impression is experienced first in the astral body. Then, the tones are consciously sent to the etheric body, and man overcomes the tones already there. This is the basis both of the pleasure of listening to music and of musical creativity. Along with certain musical sounds, something of the astral body flows into the etheric body. The latter now has received new tones. A kind of struggle arises between the sentient body and the etheric body. If these tones are strong enough to overcome the etheric body s own tones, cheerful music in the major key results. When music is in a major key, one can observe how the sentient body is the victor over the etheric body. In the case of minor keys, the etheric body has been victor over the sentient body; the etheric body has opposed the vibrations of the sentient body. When man dwells within the musical element, he lives in a reflection of his spiritual home. In this shadow image of the spiritual, the human soul finds its highest exaltation, the most intimate connection with the primeval element of man. This is why even the most humble soul is so deeply affected by music. The most humble soul feels in music an echo of what it has experienced in Devachan. The soul feels at home there. Each time he listens to music man senses, Yes, I am from another

This declaration, the National Women s Rights Convention, and the National Women Suffrage Association, all had helped women become more social and gave them some political power to decide who they want as their leader. Which slowly gave women the confidence to talk to a man without being frightened. Later on the dream of the National Women Suffrage Association and National Women s Rights Convention came true. On August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment was put in place. The 19th amendment gave women the right to vote, to chose who they wanted to lead the country they were apart of. Sometimes relapse creeps up on you over time while other times it seems to explode in your face and take over your life in one fell swoop. It can happen for a variety of reasons from boredom to grief, trauma, or any other trigger. The Terror Known as Robespierre Robespierre was one of the most significant men throughout the period of the French Revolution; he had such an immense amount of power that he was able to have rivals of the revolution put to death. Robespierre s power came from his joining of the Committee of Public Safety (CSP), whose original job was to deal with diplomacy and warfare with foreign enemies; though under Robespierre s power, the CSP became a part of the government which dealt with internal policing, which got in the way of the jurisdiction of the Committee of General Security (CSG). The job of the CSG was to remove and discipline enemies of the revolution, though they ended up competing with the CSP for power over this matter. With this influence from his place in the CSP, he climbed a social ladder to becoming both extremely influential as well as difficult to remove from control. Despite the fact that Robespierre held a great deal of power, his authority eventually declined and led to his death: while working within the CSP, he ordered countless individuals to be guillotined whether or not people on the outside of the conflict viewed them as deserving of such punishment: in one instance, he put to death several people that he viewed as anti revolutionary: Georges Jacques Danton, Lucie Simplice Desmoulins, Jean François Delacroix, and Pierre Philippeaux. Robespierre did not leave this up to the CSG whose job was to punish this type of people and because of this, he gained the reputation of a tyrant he

First, Heaney uses first person plural pronouns for most of the poem, implying that there was another person picking berries with the narrator. We trekked... , ...our boots. , Our hands... , he uses these pronouns a lot, so it is obvious the narrator wasn t alone. This may be an important, easily overlooked clue to the theme of the poem. The lesson of the poem is, stated loosely, the best things in life don t last forever, and this second character may have to do something with that. Almost all references to this second character appear in the first stanza. The second stanza has only one brief mention of another person right at the beginning of the line with We hoarded the fresh berries in the byre. Although Ray Bradbury wrote the story The Veldt over 50 years ago, he discusses this timeless issue of people caring more for materialistic objects than each other. In Bradbury s short story The Veldt , the children in the family, Wendy and Peter, have relied on the technological objects they have too much, and will do anything to keep them despite being told no by their parents, George and Lydia. Through the use of imagery, motifs and foreshadowing Ray Bradbury proves that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences. Ray Bradbury uses foreshadowing to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences. For example on page 3, Bradbury hints that the children will do something bad because he writes, When I punished him a month ago by locking the nursery... the tantrum he threw (Bradbury 3). The reader continues to grow worried about Peter and Wendy s behavior when there are screams coming from the nursery. Therefore, Bradbury establishes that the children are overly connected to their tech not their own parents. That is why it is not surprising to the reader when the kids lock their parents in the nursery to get them killed. This is shows foreshadowing works in proving that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences by showing that in this perfect utopia, this is the first that the reader has heard anything about a kerfuffle between the children and the parents. Another reason why, is the parents are talking about turning the whole house off for a month which is a lot longer than a few hours. In conclusion Bradbury uses the dark hints of the parent s demise to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences, by showing that when people become too reliable on the things that they can hold, and as soon as they are taken away, we have no idea what to do without them. Ray Bradbury uses motifs to prove that over indulgence in materialistic views can have grave consequences. For example on page 5 George, the father, is walking down the hall and hears a scream coming from the nursery. The sound

One example is when Gabriel teases Lily, naГЇvely, about having a boyfriend. Gabriel does this by saying O, then... I suppose we ll be going to your wedding one of these fine days with your young man, eh? (Joyce 2). Then, after hearing Lily`s response to Gabriel`s unintentional insult against Lily`s and her life, Gabriel thinks to himself that he had made a mistake, but did not know what, because of his innocence towards his atmosphere. Also in Gabriel`s conversations with Miss Ivors, Gabriel leaves Miss Ivors with shedding tears before she leaves the party running embarrassed. In other words, these boys were taught by their own mother to fear God and that we, as human beings, are forever indebted to him. Rather than being taught to worship, the boys were taught to remember important parts of Mormon history such as the Mountain Meadow Massacre which led eventually to the division of Mormons into good or bad saints. Mormonism encouraged the killing of those who belonged to the bad saints. In this massacre, farms were burned, men and children were murdered and often women were raped, often by the direction of state militiamen. • 55. Juno Spacecraft Observation The planet Jupiter has always been a point of interest for mankind, being the largest of the planets and named after the king of the Roman gods. Since Galileo pointed his small, simple telescope at the gas giant, scientists and astronomers have been on the journey to discover the secrets the planet holds. Launched in August, 2011, the Juno Spacecraft will be able to peek through the clouds of mystery that shroud Jupiter, and improve on mankind s view of the great planet. The main objective of the Juno spacecraft is to investigate the formation of Jupiter s atmosphere, and the amount of water and nitrogen the planet contains, to consider whether people could live there. The second objective is to examine the diversity in the deep atmosphere of Jupiter, relating to meteorology, atmospheric dynamics, etc. The third ambition of Juno is to study the structure of Jupiter s magnetic field, the distribution of mass, and the gravitational field. In addition, Juno will investigate the magnetosphere of Jupiter. The Juno spacecraft is structured around a hexagonal bus, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Juno is expected to arrive at Jupiter on July 4, 2016, which isn t too far away. Juno will provide mankind with transformative information about the great planet we have pondered over for centuries. • 56. Oakdale Mismanagement Project Analysis I examined the City of Oakdale redevelopment project and found mismanagement and ethical violations that resulted in exacerbated cost for the local government. Angela Donny, the city manager, contracted out the development project without proper deliberation (Hill and Lynn, 2014:370) and procedures, thus violating the city s code of conduct and undermining the resident s trust on elected representatives and city s employees. Based on my analysis of the situation, I propose that the city terminate this project. This memorandum provides my analysis of the redevelopment project and presents a recommended approach to deal with it. Introduction Public managers in their roles as both creatures and creators (Hill and Lynn, 2014:279) regularly encounter a variety of situations where politics and power influence... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Reframe the issue Previous administration argued that the Board of Aldermen is against economic development and change. The new administration along with the Board of Aldermen should reframe the topic and tell the residents of Oakdale about all the possible externalities of going ahead with the redevelopment project such as unnecessary cost associated with continuing the project. In the long run, if the project is continued, the taxes would have to be raised and the quality of the services would be reduced to implement the redevelopment project. 4.Initiate a new project: A new well conceived developmental project should be initiated that is transparent and put forth the interests of the City of Oakdale. The redevelopment project initiated by the previous administration is ill planned and undermines the interests of residents of Oakdale. This is evident from the feasibility report of independent firms (Cropf et al, 2010). A new plan that is well planned and takes the fiscal condition of the city into account would ensure that new economic activity takes place in the City of Oakdale, yet the quality of services provided to the residents are not
  • 57. A Computer Based Information Systems With Diagnostic... Abstract A number of computer based information systems with diagnostic capabilities have been developed for medicine. Quick Medical Reference (QMR) is a widely used program. Here are the key features of QMR and report on their study of its effectiveness as a diagnostic tool. After investigating how frequently the correct diagnosis would appear among the 5 highest ranked diagnoses generated by QMR. QMR is a computer program for internal medicine. It can generate a differential diagnosis from clinical information entered into its program, offer information on over 600 diseases, describe associated disorders and complications of diseases, offer strategies to confirm or exclude disorders, and provide simulated cases for educational purposes. Introduction QMR: Developed out of INTERNIST I, Quick Medical Reference (QMR) is an in depth information resource that helps physicians to diagnose adult diseases. It provides electronic access to more than 750 diseases representing the vast majority of the disorders seen by internists and physicians in daily practice. QMR uses more than 5,000 clinical findings to describe the features of diseases in the QMR knowledge base. Findings include medical history, symptoms, physical signs, and laboratory test results. Laboratory test results are subdivided into three categories based on increasing levels of cost and invasiveness. QMR findings represent abnormal conditions, e.g., Abdomen Pain Severe or Blood Hepatitis B Virus By
