Union Camps In The Civil War
Union Camps in the Civil War aided the union in winning. Civil war camps are extremely underrated,
people tend to focus more on battles and leaders, but, Camps had been just as important, only a short
part of a soldier s time was fighting the rest of the time they were in camps. A day in a Union soldiers
Camp life started at 5 a.m. and ended around 9 p.m. with several drills in between similarly to the
Confederates, but unlike the Confederates, the Union was supplied with multiple advantages to create
a greater camp life. Although the union did not have that much food the Union soldiers still were
supplied with much more food than the Confederate. Also, the union tended to have more desirable
clothing and shelter. According to The Civil

Analysis of Richard Kenney s Aubade Essay
An aubade is a poem that greets the dawn and characteristically involves the parting of lovers. This
particular aubade describes an everyday morning in the life of the speaker, who seems to be going to
work or has some other task which requires him to be up at five o clock. Its so early in the morning
that it is still dark outside, and he can see the stars and the moon still bright in the sky. The
temperature outside is freezing, which contributes much to the way he describes things in the poem.
This is a very lyrical poem. The speaker s emotions and intentions are made very clear in very
inconspicuous ways. The subtle repetition of certain words and images give the poem a very distinct
tone. For example, the repetition of the words ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The arc has to do with the book s idea of eternal return, Nietzsche s ideas of the eternal recurrence of
time. However, although Kundera is a South Asian writer, the pick up truck and the icebox suggest a
very American setting. In many ways, this poem is unusual in its subject. It deters in several ways
from a typical aubade, such as Donne s The Sun Rising or the internal aubade introducing the bird
narrator in Chaucer s Troilus and Criseyde. For this poem, it is important to note that rather than
detailing the parting of lovers, this poem addresses a parting which has already taken place. The
speaker is likely driving away from his love, having left her, and imagining her still asleep. The last
line of the poem has a certain intimacy to it, that even though they are apart, in the speaker s mind
they are still joined by this moment, as he seems to have an awareness or thoughtfulness regarding
what she is doing as he moves further away. Also, the speaker in an aubade is usually discontented
that he has to leave his love; this speaker is somehow consoled by the knowledge that a parting is
never really a parting (his driving off is somehow symbolic of this.) It is also interesting to note that
this aubade doesn t greet the sun; rather it mentions the moon instead. This poem also uses many
symbolic images. Many of the parts of the car which he describes utilize poetic devices and contribute
to the poem s theme. The spark and arc is an interesting use of

Symptoms Of Schizophrenia And Bipolar Disorder
Introduction Background information:
Antipsychotics are primarily used to manage the symptoms of psychosis, particularly schizophrenia
and bipolar disorder by blocking D2 receptors in the dopamine pathway of the brain. There are two
main types of antipsychotics; typical antipsychotics, also known as the first generation antipsychotics
(FGA) which were developed in 1950s, example of medicine in this category include
Chloropromazine, Haloperidol, Flupenthixol, and Loxapine. Atypical antipsychotics, also referred as
second generational antipsychotics (SGA) which acts as an antagonist for 5HT2A receptor aside from
its blocking effect on D2 receptor, drugs in this class include Olanzapine, Quetiapine, Risperidone,
Clozapine and Aripiprazole. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Psychosis such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder if left untreated during pregnancy is found to be
associated with unfavourable pregnancy outcomes such as low birth weight, neonatal hypoglycemia,
congenital defects, and adverse neurodevelopmental result.1 Furthermore, women with schizophrenia
and bipolar disorder might suffer from antepartum hemorrhage during delivery and there are many
other complications associated with these serious mental illnesses.1 Hence, after the assessment
between risk and benefits associated with this condition, many patients are prescribed with either FGA
or SGA during pregnancy. Survey found that 76% of the women with psychosis were exposed to
SGAs throughout pregnancy, 7 and of the SGAs that were prescribed, Quetiapine was the most
frequently given one with Risperidone, Piprazole and Ziprasidone appearing in declining order.3 It is
found that SGA prescription has increased from 0% in 1990 to 78% in 2005, also, there are
approximately 3 4000 pregnancies exposed to antipsychotics every year in United Kingdom.6 Due to
the inclining number of atypical antipsychotic prescription to pregnant women, the effect of SGA on
pregnancy outcome has been closely monitored and studied by number of research groups. It is found
that antipsychotic use during pregnancy might lead to unfavourable pregnancy outcomes, such as
Caesarian delivery, low high birth weights, prematurity, preterm birth, neonatal withdrwal and

America s Two Party Political System Essay
While gearing up for the 2016 election, it was extremely clear that this election was going to be a
turning point in American politics. Ever since the 2016 Presidential candidates started campaigning
over a year ago, one thing is becoming very clear: America s two party political system is in disarray.
Party systems in the United States are inherently unstable. Because it is a two party system, the party
that wins is the party that builds the biggest coalition. But the bigger the coalition, the more unstable it
is (Drutman). The struggle is finding solutions to fix it. It definitely did not help that businessman
Donald Trump became president. Currently, there are two main parties in the United States federal
system: the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. There are also many third party alternatives
that are struggling to change the way we look at politics. To make sense of America s two party
political system, we must first go back to 1776 when Federalists and Anti Federalists were first
established. The Federalists advocated for a strong and centralized national government that promoted
economic growth in order create friendly relationships with Great Britain. Furthermore, the Federalists
supported a national bank, tariffs, and a loose interpretation of the United States Constitution. On the
contrary, the Anti Federalists opposed a strong, centralized government and did everything in their
power to minimize the power given to the federal government.

Correlation Between Money And Real Interest Rate
In blue we have the interest rate in the loanable funds market, and in red, the interest rate in the money
market. If the real interest rate is above the nominal interest rate, either the investment exceeds the
desired savings or the supply of money exceeds the demand of money. Shifting the saving curve to the
right, and the demand of money to the right, will bring the interest rate in both markets to be the same.
Money and real Interest Rate
Fisher tries to establish the link between money and the interest rate. For him, the interest rate
fluctuation in terms of money and goods is due to money fluctuation. He argues that the number, or
figure, expressing the rate of interest in terms of money does depend upon the monetary standard ...

Thus, in order to compensate for every one per cent of appreciation or depreciation, one point would
be subtracted from, or added to, the rate of interest; that is, an interest rate of 5 per cent would become
4 per cent, or 6 per cent, respectively.
The basic argument to retain is that the interest rate is always relative to the standard in which it is
expressed. Fisher then distinguishes the interest rate expressed in terms of money and in terms of other
goods. However, he notes that there will be as many interest rates as many kinds of goods that we
have. To the question if there is then no absolute standard of value in terms of which real interest
should be expressed? Fisher propose the Real income, a composite of consumption goods and
services, in other words, a cost of living index affords a practical objective standard. However, he
insists that we always have to consider the value in the two periods of time, so that we must translate
from money into goods not only in the present, when the money is borrowed, but also in the future,
when it is repaid. Fisher focuses more in the money rate because he believes that it is the rate in terms
of money with which business men deal and hereafter the rate of interest. He also notes that the money
rate and the real rate are normally identical when the purchasing power is constant or stable.
Fisher notes however that to translate the rate of

Gifts under Muslim Law and the Requirement of Registration:
An analysis of Legal Provisions and the Case Law
Faizan I Nazar*
I. Introduction
Registration of some classes of documents is compulsorily required under the various statutes like
Transfer of Property Act, Contract Act etc. The (Jammu and Kashmir) Registration Act, Svt 1970
(1922 A.D) is a specific Legislation which under section 17 enumerates the documents which have
been compulsorily registered under the Act. The first class of document which is enumerated under
clause (a) sub section (1) of section 17 of the Registration Act (hereinafter referred as the Act ) is an
instrument of gift of immovable property . Thus as a general rule gifts relating to immovable property

V. Fakhr Jahan Begum and Others referred to Muhammadan law by Syed Ameer Ali and approved the
statement made therein that three conditions are necessary for a valid gift by a Muslim: a)
Manifestation of the wish to give on the part of donor ; b) The acceptance of the donee , either
impliedly or expressly; c) The taking of possession of the subject matter of the gift by the donee,
either actually or constructively.
According to section 129 of the Transfer of Property Act no rule of Mohamedan law shall be affected
by chapter VII of the Transfer of Property Act relating to gifts. It, therefore, follows that an oral gift
made by a Muslim is a valid gift and does not require registration, which otherwise is not a valid gift
under section 123 of the Transfer of Property Act.
In the context of sec.17 (1) (a) the pertinent question is about the applicability of the clause (a) to
written gift executed by a Muslim in the light of section 129 of the Transfer of Property Act and the
rules of Muslim law relating to gifts. The courts for a long time obscured the answer.
In Sankesula Chinna Budde Saheb v. Raja Subbamma, the Andhra Pradesh High Court, after noticing
three essentials of gift under the Muslim law, held that if a gift was reduced to writing, it requires
registration under section 17(1) (a) of the Registration Act. It went on to hold that even if by virtue of
section 129 of the Transfer of Property Act, a deed of gift

Speech On Indigenous Poetry
Introduction
This presentation will discuss Indigenous poetry and talk about one particular poem to celebrate
contemporary Indigenous poetry. Poetry is powerful because the pen is mightier than the sword , it is
emotional and is an aesthetic response to words. Poetry is used as a means of expressing issues and
bringing attention to problems. Here, the poem brings attention to the old Australian mindset and talks
about racism. Poetry can also bring changes in certain topics, because it encourages public discourse,
it raises awareness, and lets people see things from other people s perspective. Today, this presentation
will talk about the poet, Charmaine Papertalk Green, the poem, A White Australian Mindset and will
discuss what ethical issue the poem is about. Then, this speech will analyse the main themes and
messages which are shown through different poetic devices, and I will argue that the poem is effective
in communicating its message.
Poet and Poem
The poet, Charmaine Papertalk Green, was born in 1962 in Western Australia, and is an indigenous
Australian poet. The poem discusses the White Australia Policy and the effect that this policy had on
non white people who were living in Australia at this time. It explicitly states some of the racist
comments that were made to these people. The poem also talks about the British having claimed the
land from the Aboriginal people and trying to keep the country all white. Importantly, the poem
discusses that this was

How To Replace A Roof
Addressing roof problems
Tips on how to determine whether it is best to repair damage or replace entire roof
When it comes to doing home improvements, homeowners have to make good decisions in order to
meet with success without injuring themselves or messing up their homes. This is especially true for a
job that involves doing something to the roof. Whether the job is repairing damaged areas or installing
a new roof, hiring an Austin roofing professional is one of the best decisions that homeowners can
make, and that is because such a professional will have the necessary skills to complete all the work
safely and efficiently. Furthermore, homeowners will have less pressure on their shoulders and more
time to devote to other important matters. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only downside is that the new shingles may not match the ones already on the roof, but that
matters little if the goal is to shore up the roof so that it will last for years to come. If homeowners are
looking to put their homes on the market, then perhaps the best course of action is to have a
professional contractor order the right type of shingles for the patch job. Potential buyers tend to zero
in on the condition of homes, looking for anything that is out of place.
If the damage happens to be so extensive that a patch job would not be enough, then homeowners
ought to let a professional contractor install a new roof. This option, depending on the size of the
home, will be rather costly, but it goes without saying that putting in a new roof will prove worthwhile
in the long run as there many benefits to

Analysis Of John Locke s The Of The Golden Era Essay
During the course of history there has been brilliant men who have accomplished amazing feats that
help cement their names for centuries. Aristotle was a man who opened the gate to the world of
science. Marco Aurelius was a man with all the traits of a phenomenal thinker and leader, and so he is
regarded as the Emperor of the Golden Era . Leonardo da Vinci opened the door to the Renaissance
and William Shakespeare treated us to the best writings and plays in the English language. Likewise,
John Locke is a man who accomplished what many men could not. He single handedly developed a
political system that had a focus on liberty, his work would help influence many men from both sides
of the Atlantic. Aside from being a brilliant political theorist, Locke was an author who wrote many
outstanding writings. He is remembered as being one of the best English philosophers of all time, and
rightfully so. He was a man who opposed the unpleasant rule of absolutism and helped situate the age
of enlightenment as an intellectual movement that sought to solve, social, economic and political
problems. John Locke was born on August 29th 1632 in Wrington, Somerset in England. The son of
John Locke Sr, and Agnes Keene, Locke Sr was an attorney and clerk to the Justices of the Peace in
Somerset, who enjoyed his work despite being held in small respect . After his son birth, the family
moved to the village of Belloton, it is here were Locke grew up as a child. Locke attended

Life And The Truth Behind Of Siddhartha, Phaedrus, And...
Part 1 Siddhartha, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and Oedipus the King, while
seemingly being very different stories, all have similar ideas about truth and meaning, knowledge
versus wisdom, and the impact of oneself internally, which all culminate into the realization of value
within oneself. To find the truth it has been said that one has to look within. It is within those
parameters that Siddhartha, Phaedrus, and Oedipus found what they searched so longingly for. On the
topic of Siddhartha, his search for enlightenment was more of a search for the meaning of life and the
truth behind it. As Thomas J. Schoenberg and Lawrence J. Trudeau put it, The novel, which examines
themes related to spirituality and personal growth, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Siddhartha, Siddhartha himself states that, any truth can only be expressed and put into words when
it is one sided. (Hesse, 129). meaning that truth can only be found on your side, because the truth
could be interpreted multiple different ways depending on your perspective. That point is further
enforced within Zen, as Phaedrus ponders existence. But no one is willing to give up the truth as he
sees it,... (Pirsig, 74). As for Oedipus, there is no exact quote available to support the ideas of truth and
meaning, however the development of his learning throughout the story, and the moral of the story to
be learned provide the evidence to support the existence of truth and meaning within the story.
Oedipus learns what he desires to know about Thebes and why it was crumbling only by discovering
his own history. And through that he learned why they must endure the trials and tribulations that were
brought about by the gods. So while these characters developed how to come up with the truth, they
still did not know how to apply it, which leads to the battle between knowledge and wisdom.
Knowledge, just knowing the facts, versus wisdom, having experienced the facts firsthand, are two
very different ideas. Knowledge itself is able to be taught, thanks to instructors. However, wisdom is
not able to be passed down, because people are unable to project experiences onto other people. It is
impossible to tell the story of your experience and expect the

Some Information about Rational Expectations Theory
The theory of rational expectations is particularly important for workers ideological of national
security , because it is derived from the consequences of the assumption that reaches people in social
policy in a rational way , and some of the consequences of its flavor from the ideological principles
such as the principle of expediency or Maximin Rawlsian ( see (1 ) for a survey ) . Research has
shown that the relevant bargaining in fashion that can be seen as rational from the point of the
individual s point of view , such as the Nash bargaining or Raiffa Kalai Smorodinsky bargaining , and
results in agreements that are fair in some sense. Because of the rigor of this research , much of which
depends on the mathematical proof , it is worth careful study of the effects of the ethical .
Arguments contract
One way to link an individual to work with the principle of rational thought is an argument of the
social contract . The basic idea , which goes back to Thomas Hobbes (2) , is that rational individuals
will participate in the social agreement to behave morally . They will do so because the alternative is
chaos , that life solitary , poverty and filth , irrational , and short . Most importantly , it will continue
to comply with the agreement , because (according to Hobbes ) it will install voluntarily and
authoritarian government , which gives them an incentive strong to do so.

kids they would go into the cow fields and pick up the baby cows and run with them. They thought it

If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant

best friends are fighting with each other, do you pick a side? Would you choose one friend over the
other? If so, how would that affect you and the friend you didn t choose relationship? The reason why
it is not important for people to take a stand on issues of justice in society is because a nation tends to

So by doing so, it allows leaders and governments to better understand how the people feel about
certain laws or rules. In Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi s speech On Civil Disobedience he says, No
clapping is possible without two hands to do it, and no quarrel without two persons to make it.
Similarly, no State is possible without two entities, the rulers and the ruled. Your are our sovereign, or
Government, only so long as we consider ourselves your subjects. When we are not subjects, you are
not the sovereign either. So long as it is your endeavour to control us with justice and love, we will let
you tod so. But if you wish to strike at us from behind, we cannot permit it. In other words, in order to
have order, there needs to be a strong connection between the subjects and sovereigns . By not doing
so, it could lead to civil disobedience, violence, or even death. Nevertheless, in Chief Joseph s speech
On Surrender At Bear Paw Mountain, 1877 he says, Tell General Howard that I know his heart. What

Intelligence Trap
What holds me back from becoming an improved critical thinker is a method of thinking called the
intelligence trap. The intelligence trap, founded in Edward de Bono s book, de Bono s Thinking
Course. The intelligence trap is when an opinion is formed initially and then due to higher intelligence
or practice in debating, is naturally able to defend the opinion, even against scrutiny. This cause a trap
where there no need to seek out other opinions, results, or contradiction due to others inability to
successfully challenge the opinion. My father loved to debate when I was an adolescent, and I
emulated this at a young age. Unfortunately, he was more interested in winning rather than making a
cohesive argument. At the end of every argument or disagreement, he had to be the victor. Eventually,
I was able to hold my opinions against him. But this is how I devolve into this trap, I learned how to
defend my already formed position, but not necessarily taking the time to flush out the details, or seek
alternatives. I was taught and eventually saw it as a weakness to dawn a new opinion in the middle of
the moment. I developed my method of defending myself over time growing after every confrontation.
My vernacular grew as I senesce. This only increased my confidence incrementally. ... Show more

I need to learn to say I do not know or I do not know enough to form a valid opinion before attempting
to defend my stance. After all, it is more respectable to have no opinion rather than forming an opinion
based on ignorance, fallacy argument, and or false beliefs. A quote that speaks volumes to me is, You
cannot dig a hole in a different place by digging the same hole deeper. said by Dr de Bono. He uses
this colloquial metaphor to project an image of an expert and or intelligent people digging a deep hole,
but what should be is a series of

Since Napoleon s decision showed no respect but metamorphic confidence, the Spanish fought him
off. Napoleon s optimism predicted Napoleon s failure as well. In 1814, Napoleon defeated the Anti
French troop at Brenner city; he thought he would win again. He separated his troops in order to attack
his enemies, but he did not realize that he left the way to Paris unimpeded for his enemies. It led
Napoleon to the loss of the wars against the sixth Anti French Coalition. Moreover, Napoleon s
bravery made him succeed in his wars, but it also made him ignore his soldiers feelings. Once he got
involved in a battle, he would fight until he won. So once he lost, he lost his army s power, soldiers
and morale. After losing those important foundations, he was not able to control such a huge empire
any more. Beside those positive characters, Napoleon also had some negative characters that overset
him. Ambition is the uppermost characteristics that made his empire collapse quickly. For example, in
1812, Napoleon s ambition extended to Russia. His army invaded Russia. Alexander I carried out a
scorched earth policy. Whatever Napoleon captured, the Russians burnt everything before retreating.
Day after day, Napoleon s army ran out of supplies. Finally, Napoleon lost the war in a painful way.
Not only Napoleon but also his empire and his people suffered the consequence of his unreasonable
ambition. Napoleon was haughty and self centered; he did not like listening

Conformity In The Lottery
Conformity, the act of mimicking a groups behavior, attitudes, or beliefs. Is this a positive or negative
thing? Others may say that it s a positive thing because it was the foundation of modern laws, but that
was a very long time ago, does this positive light on conformity still apply? Conformity is a negative
thing because the Holocaust, Tessie Hutchinson was stoned to death, and the mere presence of friends
influences risk taking, and all three of these examples start with the same thing, Conformity. First of
all, The Holocaust started when a large group of German soldiers had conformed to their leader,
Hitler, and continuously followed orders to the dot, mostly out of fear of being executed. While some
may say they were following orders to save themselves, were their lives worth the lives of the millions
of people that they killed by just following orders ? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Problem Of High School
High School is one of the most prominent time in one s life. During this time, one is taught to be
financially literate, how to use grammar and punctuations wisely, be mathematically inclined and
aware of different sciences. Notice how I excluded history, but there is a reason for this. History is
often manipulated and told by those who are comfortable telling fabricated stories made up by the
white man. This causes for students, especially African Americans have a false interpretation of their
history and come to college relatively unprepared. ADW and its concepts go into the root of history
without giving out false conceptions, however, it is very unfortunate that it is not taught until one s
young adult years because that is when distorted information is already drilled into their brain. ADW
concepts being taught in high school such as issues of identity; the intersection of race, gender, and
social class; displacement, and conditions of servitude could only lead to the enrichment of the
inquiring minds of this generation, allow them to see relatable circumstances, and help diminish their
ignorance of African history.
Throughout the years, we often deal with different measures of judgment and marginalizing. When a
person has the mentality that they are in fact more supreme than the other regardless of what it is, it is
something that is taught at home. The person who s the victim of inferiority, has the power to teach the
oppressor, but use only factual statements and

Taking a Look at Peripheral Neuropathy
Peripheral neuropathy is a fairly common neurological problem and is a generalized term that means
that there is a disorder in the peripheral nervous system. Being that this is a broad definition and
includes many varieties and causes of peripheral nerve disease, a proper diagnosis is needed for the
definition to be specified. The overall prevalence of the condition is about 2400 (2·4%) per 100 000
population, but in people older than 55 years, the prevalence rises to about 8000 (8%) per 100 000.
(Simpson, 2010) Yet this does not include traumatic peripheral nerve injuries meaning that the number
of peripheral neuropathy in our society is greater. In first world countries, the most common cause of
peripheral neuropathy is diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases
characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both.
(Loganathan, 2006) Due to the fact that the diagnose of diabetes mellitus has increased in our general
population of the USA, the amount people in risk of diabetic peripheral neuropathy is also expected to
increase.
In our case we are dealing with diabetic peripheral neuropathy that results from nerve damage due to
the high blood glucose levels diabetics. About 60 to 70 percent of people who have had diabetes for
many years have some form of nerve damage, but not everyone has symptoms. (Inzucchi, 2012)
Common types of diabetic neuropathy are those that affect the limbs along with the

Explain How Communities Respond To Conflict
Communities have a various amount of ways to respond to conflict whether the problem is prime or
trivial. Communities approach these conflicts in two ways, negative or positive. The communities
decision on how they solve the problem can result in a couple of ways, by talking it out, walking
away, or using violence. Conflicts can be very small that by talking it out you can resolve it but some
conflicts are very serious that poor decision making can end in permanent damage or with severe
consequences. Sometimes a minor conflict can lead to a bigger, more severe, conflict as a result of an
unthoughtful action. The majority amount of communities deal with conflict in a negative way.
A community that dealt with conflict by talking it out was The Museum of Tolerance. When we think
of a museum we usually think of an art museum. An art museum shows you all the paintings famous

to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark and lamentable catalogue of

Arginine Vasopressin And The Plasma Membranes
Water reabsorption is regulated by vasopressin since its release increases the water permeability of
distal tubule and collecting duct cells in the kidney. After stimulation by vasopressin, aquaporin 2
(AQP2) accumulates in the plasma membrane of these target cells on the apical side. Aquaporin 2 is a
water channel that allows water to be reabsorbed from the filtrate (urine), returned to the bloodstream
and consequently concentrating urine. To this day, the trafficking mechanisms that recruit AQP2 to the
apical plasma membrane are still not well understood. Recent studies have shown that cyclic
adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) may not be required for arginine vasopressin (AVP) mediated
AQP2 membrane targeting, and that other signaling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since it is the excessive expression followed by apical translocation of the Aquaporin 2 that leads to
congestive heart failure (CHF) and other water imbalance disorders, studying the mechanism of the
pathway that leads to this translocation is important (Yui et al. 2017). Congestive heart failure in rats,
in two separate studies, was shown to be associated with the over accumulation of the Aquaporin 2
channels in the apical membrane of the distal tubal and collective duct cells in kidneys which causes
the fluid from the filtrate (urine) to be reabsorbed into the bloodstream(Brond et al., 2013)(Nielson et
al. 1997). This results in water retention in tissues in different parts of the body which leads to
congestion in the body. If prolonged, the condition will lead to congestive heart failure, abbreviated
CHF. In a study of this phenomenon, they argued that vasopressin should normalize water absorption
in terms of increasing the permeability of the distal tubule and collecting duct cells to water (Soren
Nielson et al. 1997) and in doing such, would increase the concentration of AQP2 along the apical
membrane of distal tube and collecting ducts (Soren Nielson et al. 1997). Such was the backbone of
credence that let to their study that CHF may be a counter consequence of

governing age discrimination. It was ordered in 1967 to advance the work of more seasoned
specialists in view of capacity as opposed to age, avoid discrimination, and help take care of the issues
that emerge with an aging workforce. The ADEA precludes a business from refusing to contract,
firing, or for the most part discriminating against a delegate age at least 40 prepared, only on the start
of age. Along these lines, a business can t deny a delegate pay or fringe benefits when the main
support is age. Nor may a business portray delegates into gatherings of an age group in a way that

Lookout Mountain

One might even have a flashback to US history in the 8th grade if they were told that this was the
location of The Battle of Lookout Mountain. Most people are used to seeing waterfalls, well above

after his beautiful wife Ruby. The cave today is nowhere near as naturally carved today as it once was.
Over the last few decades Lambert has turned it into a tourist attraction. By turning it into a tourist
attraction Lambert was forced to manually carve out the cave to make it more congruent to accept the
large number of tourist they expected. They found a small passageway that eventually led them to the
waterfall, and this passageway was then dugout in order to put an elevator to allow the tourist easy
access into the mountain to the waterfall via the Ruby Falls Cave. Then as government regulations

their personal discretion. Although it is suggested that one should not drink the water for the reason
that it contains a very extremely high amount of magnesium from the strata of Lookout Mountain. The

Green Tea As A Treatment For Cancer
In 2737 B.C., the day was pleasant as Emperor Shen Nung sat beneath a tree sipping hot water. The
slight breeze rippled through the tree above him, sending twirling leaves cascading all around him.
Sipping his tea, he noticed a leaf had fallen into it, changing the color slightly and giving the hot water
a slightly bitter, yet refreshing taste (Nerz Stormes).
Whether or not this ledged depicting how tea was discovered is true, it sets the stage for the deep
history and tradition that revolves around this world wide drink. Cultures that consume green tea have
believed in its healing properties and treated it as both a beverage and a medicine for countless
generations. Within these cultures, its common belief that green tea can increase longevity, treat
diabetes, and even prevent cancer. The question that really got me interested in the direction of this
topic was does green tea really have the ability to prevent or work as a treatment for cancer.
Green tea has been a major part of Japanese cultures throughout history, both for leisure as well as
medicine. There are people who devote their lives to learning The Way of Tea, a long ceremony that
involves brewing and sharing tea with guests as well as appreciated nature. In recent years, some
researchers aware of the correlation between Japanese culture and longevity started doing scientific
research on its validity in terms of medicine. The antioxidants, specifically catchins, as well as the
vitamins and potassium in green tea

Civil war camps are extremely underrated, people tend to focus more on battles and leaders, but, Camps had been just as important, only a short part of a soldier s time was fighting the rest of the time they were in camps. A day in a Union soldiers Camp life started at 5 a.m. and ended around 9 p.m. with several drills in between similarly to the Confederates, but unlike the Confederates, the Union was supplied with multiple advantages to create a greater camp life. • 3. Analysis of Richard Kenney s Aubade Essay An aubade is a poem that greets the dawn and characteristically involves the parting of lovers. This particular aubade describes an everyday morning in the life of the speaker, who seems to be going to work or has some other task which requires him to be up at five o clock. Its so early in the morning that it is still dark outside, and he can see the stars and the moon still bright in the sky. The temperature outside is freezing, which contributes much to the way he describes things in the poem. This is a very lyrical poem. The speaker s emotions and intentions are made very clear in very inconspicuous ways. The subtle repetition of certain words and images give the poem a very distinct tone. For example, the repetition of the words ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The arc has to do with the book s idea of eternal return, Nietzsche s ideas of the eternal recurrence of time. However, although Kundera is a South Asian writer, the pick up truck and the icebox suggest a very American setting. In many ways, this poem is unusual in its subject. It deters in several ways from a typical aubade, such as Donne s The Sun Rising or the internal aubade introducing the bird narrator in Chaucer s Troilus and Criseyde. For this poem, it is important to note that rather than detailing the parting of lovers, this poem addresses a parting which has already taken place. The speaker is likely driving away from his love, having left her, and imagining her still asleep. The last line of the poem has a certain intimacy to it, that even though they are apart, in the speaker s mind they are still joined by this moment, as he seems to have an awareness or thoughtfulness regarding what she is doing as he moves further away. Also, the speaker in an aubade is usually discontented that he has to leave his love; this speaker is somehow consoled by the knowledge that a parting is never really a parting (his driving off is somehow symbolic of this.) It is also interesting to note that this aubade doesn t greet the sun; rather it mentions the moon instead. This poem also uses many symbolic images. Many of the parts of the car which he describes utilize poetic devices and contribute to the poem s theme. The spark and arc is an interesting use of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. America s Two Party Political System Essay While gearing up for the 2016 election, it was extremely clear that this election was going to be a turning point in American politics. Ever since the 2016 Presidential candidates started campaigning over a year ago, one thing is becoming very clear: America s two party political system is in disarray. Party systems in the United States are inherently unstable. Because it is a two party system, the party that wins is the party that builds the biggest coalition. But the bigger the coalition, the more unstable it is (Drutman). The struggle is finding solutions to fix it. It definitely did not help that businessman Donald Trump became president. Currently, there are two main parties in the United States federal system: the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. There are also many third party alternatives that are struggling to change the way we look at politics. To make sense of America s two party political system, we must first go back to 1776 when Federalists and Anti Federalists were first established. The Federalists advocated for a strong and centralized national government that promoted economic growth in order create friendly relationships with Great Britain. Furthermore, the Federalists supported a national bank, tariffs, and a loose interpretation of the United States Constitution. On the contrary, the Anti Federalists opposed a strong, centralized government and did everything in their power to minimize the power given to the federal government. ... • 8. Correlation Between Money And Real Interest Rate In blue we have the interest rate in the loanable funds market, and in red, the interest rate in the money market. If the real interest rate is above the nominal interest rate, either the investment exceeds the desired savings or the supply of money exceeds the demand of money. Shifting the saving curve to the right, and the demand of money to the right, will bring the interest rate in both markets to be the same. Money and real Interest Rate Fisher tries to establish the link between money and the interest rate. For him, the interest rate fluctuation in terms of money and goods is due to money fluctuation. He argues that the number, or figure, expressing the rate of interest in terms of money does depend upon the monetary standard ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus, in order to compensate for every one per cent of appreciation or depreciation, one point would be subtracted from, or added to, the rate of interest; that is, an interest rate of 5 per cent would become 4 per cent, or 6 per cent, respectively. The basic argument to retain is that the interest rate is always relative to the standard in which it is expressed. Fisher then distinguishes the interest rate expressed in terms of money and in terms of other goods. However, he notes that there will be as many interest rates as many kinds of goods that we have. To the question if there is then no absolute standard of value in terms of which real interest should be expressed? Fisher propose the Real income, a composite of consumption goods and services, in other words, a cost of living index affords a practical objective standard. However, he insists that we always have to consider the value in the two periods of time, so that we must translate from money into goods not only in the present, when the money is borrowed, but also in the future, when it is repaid. Fisher focuses more in the money rate because he believes that it is the rate in terms of money with which business men deal and hereafter the rate of interest. He also notes that the money rate and the real rate are normally identical when the purchasing power is constant or stable. Fisher notes however that to translate the rate of ... Fakhr Jahan Begum and Others referred to Muhammadan law by Syed Ameer Ali and approved the statement made therein that three conditions are necessary for a valid gift by a Muslim: a) Manifestation of the wish to give on the part of donor ; b) The acceptance of the donee , either impliedly or expressly; c) The taking of possession of the subject matter of the gift by the donee, either actually or constructively. According to section 129 of the Transfer of Property Act no rule of Mohamedan law shall be affected by chapter VII of the Transfer of Property Act relating to gifts. It, therefore, follows that an oral gift made by a Muslim is a valid gift and does not require registration, which otherwise is not a valid gift under section 123 of the Transfer of Property Act. In the context of sec.17 (1) (a) the pertinent question is about the applicability of the clause (a) to written gift executed by a Muslim in the light of section 129 of the Transfer of Property Act and the rules of Muslim law relating to gifts. The courts for a long time obscured the answer. In Sankesula Chinna Budde Saheb v. Raja Subbamma, the Andhra Pradesh High Court, after noticing three essentials of gift under the Muslim law, held that if a gift was reduced to writing, it requires registration under section 17(1) (a) of the Registration Act. It went on to hold that even if by virtue of section 129 of the Transfer of Property Act, a deed of gift ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Speech On Indigenous Poetry Introduction This presentation will discuss Indigenous poetry and talk about one particular poem to celebrate contemporary Indigenous poetry. Poetry is powerful because the pen is mightier than the sword , it is emotional and is an aesthetic response to words. Poetry is used as a means of expressing issues and bringing attention to problems. Here, the poem brings attention to the old Australian mindset and talks about racism. Poetry can also bring changes in certain topics, because it encourages public discourse, it raises awareness, and lets people see things from other people s perspective. Today, this presentation will talk about the poet, Charmaine Papertalk Green, the poem, A White Australian Mindset and will discuss what ethical issue the poem is about. Then, this speech will analyse the main themes and messages which are shown through different poetic devices, and I will argue that the poem is effective in communicating its message. Poet and Poem The poet, Charmaine Papertalk Green, was born in 1962 in Western Australia, and is an indigenous Australian poet. The poem discusses the White Australia Policy and the effect that this policy had on non white people who were living in Australia at this time. Whether the job is repairing damaged areas or installing a new roof, hiring an Austin roofing professional is one of the best decisions that homeowners can make, and that is because such a professional will have the necessary skills to complete all the work safely and efficiently. The only downside is that the new shingles may not match the ones already on the roof, but that matters little if the goal is to shore up the roof so that it will last for years to come. If homeowners are looking to put their homes on the market, then perhaps the best course of action is to have a professional contractor order the right type of shingles for the patch job. Potential buyers tend to zero in on the condition of homes, looking for anything that is out of place. If the damage happens to be so extensive that a patch job would not be enough, then homeowners ought to let a professional contractor install a new roof. This option, depending on the size of the home, will be rather costly, but it goes without saying that putting in a new roof will prove worthwhile in the long run as there many benefits to ... Part 1 Siddhartha, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and Oedipus the King, while seemingly being very different stories, all have similar ideas about truth and meaning, knowledge versus wisdom, and the impact of oneself internally, which all culminate into the realization of value within oneself. To find the truth it has been said that one has to look within. It is within those parameters that Siddhartha, Phaedrus, and Oedipus found what they searched so longingly for. On the topic of Siddhartha, his search for enlightenment was more of a search for the meaning of life and the truth behind it. As Thomas J. Schoenberg and Lawrence J. That point is further enforced within Zen, as Phaedrus ponders existence. But no one is willing to give up the truth as he sees it,... (Pirsig, 74). As for Oedipus, there is no exact quote available to support the ideas of truth and meaning, however the development of his learning throughout the story, and the moral of the story to be learned provide the evidence to support the existence of truth and meaning within the story. Oedipus learns what he desires to know about Thebes and why it was crumbling only by discovering his own history. And through that he learned why they must endure the trials and tribulations that were brought about by the gods. So while these characters developed how to come up with the truth, they still did not know how to apply it, which leads to the battle between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge, just knowing the facts, versus wisdom, having experienced the facts firsthand, are two very different ideas. Knowledge itself is able to be taught, thanks to instructors. However, wisdom is not able to be passed down, because people are unable to project experiences onto other people. It is impossible to tell the story of your experience and expect the ... The intelligence trap, founded in Edward de Bono s book, de Bono s Thinking Course. The intelligence trap is when an opinion is formed initially and then due to higher intelligence or practice in debating, is naturally able to defend the opinion, even against scrutiny. This cause a trap where there no need to seek out other opinions, results, or contradiction due to others inability to successfully challenge the opinion. My father loved to debate when I was an adolescent, and I emulated this at a young age. Unfortunately, he was more interested in winning rather than making a cohesive argument. At the end of every argument or disagreement, he had to be the victor. Eventually, I was able to hold my opinions against him. But this is how I devolve into this trap, I learned how to defend my already formed position, but not necessarily taking the time to flush out the details, or seek alternatives. During this time, one is taught to be financially literate, how to use grammar and punctuations wisely, be mathematically inclined and aware of different sciences. Arginine Vasopressin And The Plasma Membranes Water reabsorption is regulated by vasopressin since its release increases the water permeability of distal tubule and collecting duct cells in the kidney. After stimulation by vasopressin, aquaporin 2 (AQP2) accumulates in the plasma membrane of these target cells on the apical side. Aquaporin 2 is a water channel that allows water to be reabsorbed from the filtrate (urine), returned to the bloodstream and consequently concentrating urine. To this day, the trafficking mechanisms that recruit AQP2 to the apical plasma membrane are still not well understood. Recent studies have shown that cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) may not be required for arginine vasopressin (AVP) mediated AQP2 membrane targeting, and that other signaling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since it is the excessive expression followed by apical translocation of the Aquaporin 2 that leads to congestive heart failure (CHF) and other water imbalance disorders, studying the mechanism of the pathway that leads to this translocation is important (Yui et al. 2017). Congestive heart failure in rats, in two separate studies, was shown to be associated with the over accumulation of the Aquaporin 2 channels in the apical membrane of the distal tubal and collective duct cells in kidneys which causes the fluid from the filtrate (urine) to be reabsorbed into the bloodstream(Brond et al., 2013)(Nielson et al. 1997). This results in water retention in tissues in different parts of the body which leads to congestion in the body. If prolonged, the condition will lead to congestive heart failure, abbreviated CHF. In a study of this phenomenon, they argued that vasopressin should normalize water absorption in terms of increasing the permeability of the distal tubule and collecting duct cells to water (Soren Nielson et al. 1997) and in doing such, would increase the concentration of AQP2 along the apical membrane of distal tube and collecting ducts (Soren Nielson et al. 1997).
