First Steps in Beginning Language Intervention
Summary The topic for today s reading was 1st Steps in Beginning Language Intervention. The first
assigned reading, Errorless Teaching and the Use of Transfer Procedures, established that the
difference between a great Applied Behavior Analysis program and a mediocre program is often in the
details of correct prompting procedures. It s important when teaching a child with autism or any
developmental delay that you not only know the science of ABA and the conceptual analysis of VB,
but also that you can deliver accurate and appropriate therapy. Prompts are the little nudges or hints
that will increase the likelihood of a correct response from your child. The bases of prompting include
the several difference types of prompts, and a hierarchy to identify how invasive the prompt is. For a
child to be successful is better to use the least intrusive prompt, such as physical prompt (partial
physical prompt), gestural prompts (model or imitative prompt/partial imitative prompt), and other
prompts (visual and textual prompts). Also this reading pointed out how too many antecedents and a
non invasive prompt cause the child to not complete the task that he is being asked to do and in to
reinforced the child s non compliance, such as the example of Lucas and his dad with the control
remote after Lucas has shortly begun his ABA therapy. When giving an instruction it s best to give
only one antecedent, expect only one behavior, and delivery only one consequence. Giving too much

Tiziano Titian Research Paper
Titian (Tiziano Vecellio) was born in Pieve di Cadore, a small town at the foot of the Dolomites on the
Venetian side of the Alps. The Vecellio s had been based in Cadore since the 14th century. Titian s
father, Gregorio, was a military man. His older brother Francesco was also a painter. There is still no
documentary evidence of Titian s exact date of birth, but contemporary sources and his early stylistic
development suggest that he was born around 1490. Titian was a painter who painted famous
paintings of religious beliefs such as Sacred and Profane Love and Venus of Urbino which were lost in
fire but are safe on the internet. Titian trained under two other seminal Venetian artists, Giovanni
Bellini (active by 1459, died 1516) and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This mythology inspired work was just one of several commissioned by Alfonso I d Este, duke of
Ferrara. Titian managed to cultivate a broad range of royal patrons during his career, including King
Philip II of Spain and Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Titian s Venetian home was a mecca for many
of the community s artistic types. He had an especially close friendship with writer Pietro Aretino.
Aretino is said to have helped Titian get some of his commissions. Sculptor and architect Jacopo
Sansovino was another frequent visitor. Over the years, Titian created portraits of leading figures of
the day. He painted two works featuring Pope Paul III between 1545 and 46, and spent six months
living at the Vatican while making these paintings. In 1548, he traveled to the court of Charles V,
where he painted his portrait as well. In his later career, Titian focused more on religious and
mythological works. For Spain s Philip II, he painted Venus and Adonis (c. 1554), a piece inspired by
Ovid s Metamorphoses that shows the goddess Venus trying in vain to hold on to her beloved Adonis.
Titian again explored his fascination with the Roman goddess of love in Venus and the Lute Player

The Financial Data Of Telus Corporation
Introduction Telus Corporation (Telus) is a national organization that provides telecommunications
(telecoms) products and services throughout Canada. Telecoms refers to the utilization of electronic
platforms to transmit information from one place to another. With the ongoing shift towards telecoms
in Canada, the use of products and services via both wired and wireless telecoms carriers is increasing.
Moreover, the necessity for organizations to transfer information, and for individuals to stay connected
with one another reinforces the need for telecoms.
Purposes of Report
This report aims to:
1) Analyze the financial data of Telus Corporation to obtain key ratios and statistics for an investment
recommendation.

This is the lowest it has been in the last five years (Refer to appendix table 3). However in 2013, Telus
dramatically increased the number of shares outstanding which resulted in a lower EPS. Although EPS
is a common indicator for a company s profitability, another factor that can be utilized is cash flow.
Cash Flow
Telus possesses a strong cash flow. For the last five years, Telus has been increasing its cash with the
exception of 2014 (Refer to table 2). In 2015 Telus cash increased by 163 million (USD), with the end
cash position being 223 million (TMX Money, 2015). A healthy cash flow is extremely important for
any company that wants to meet its short term debts. As long as a company has a positive net cash
flow, it will be able to pay its debts and continue operating. Therefore, due to its positive cash flow,
Telus will be able to invest in growth opportunities and secure debt with ease if needed.
The customer turnover rate for Telus is quite low. This is because it has managed to increase its
subscribers in TV, wireless and internet (Donnelly, 2016). Consequently, Telus is expected to grow
because of these factors. Furthermore, the aspect of high dividends makes Telus an attractive
investment. On December 11, 2015 Telus quarterly dividend was $0.44/share (Telus Investor
Information, 2015), which provides a safe, stable cash flow.

Choice Theory Middle Adulthood
As we go through our developmental life span in young and middle adulthood, we become involve in
situations that we cannot change, but we as individuals can make a choice to change ourselves.
Choices start to be done in infancy and continue through the physiological, developmental stages of
childhood, adolescence, young, middle and older adulthood (Glasser, 2010). Dr. William Glasser
developed the Choice Theory which is defined as the explanation of human behavior based on internal
motivation (Glasser, 2010). In this paper, the choice theory will be examined to explain human
behavior in young and middle adulthood, how this theory can be incorporated into social work
practice and a look at individuals from different cultures to determine if their human needs identified
in the Choice Theory reflect their experiences and why. Young and middle adulthood are broken down

In my view, I think salaries being secret is a better option since the latter of the 2 possibilities is a

I believe wholeheartedly in the policy of salary confidentiality. Salary disclosure can cause conflict

The newly machine presents a few factors that were absent in the previous model. One of those factors
that wasn t present in the old model that s now present in the new model is the capability of
microscopic imaging down to microns. The old model only presented items in mono tones instead of
color imaging. Color imaging gives a technician the upper hand when it comes to narrowing down
specific specimens that may be in need of color, something the older model also lacked. Also, the new
model has been enhanced with a very strong and magnetic light source; with the newly technological
invention the light source enables examiners to rotate light to capture very punitive stringent marks
and features, something that the older model also lacked. One way to scan 3D data is with an
measuring system. The measuring system is the way of the analyzing one or more waves by

Concussions In The National Football League
From what I ve researched and what I ve experienced, I don t think it s worth the risk ( Chris Borland
). This quotation from former San Francisco 49er, Chris Borland, exemplifies the concern for the
increase in occurrence of concussions in the National Football League. A concussion is defined as a
type of traumatic brain injury caused by a blow to the head ( NFL Concussions ). The debate on who
is truly responsible for the injury s increasing presence in the NFL continues to be disputed in the
league today. Whether the blame is to be placed on the administrative personnel of the league or the
players and their actions, change is the one common denominator in the stances taken by both sides.
The National Football League is not doing enough ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fact that a use of a more efficient test for diagnoses of the injury has not been implemented into
the league s concussion protocol provides support for this argument. Improper education of the true
amount of risk involved that will affect a player in the long term displays the carelessness of the
league s front office. Almost every athlete that remains connected to the NFL has a family that relies
on them for income and support. By discerning the safety of its very own employees, of which the
league would cease to exist without, the NFL is putting the lives and welfare of the players and their
families at risk. Money must become a secondary concern when one is dealing with a person s safety
on the football field. The league cannot continue to put the lives of its employees at risk in order to
avoid money loss. The National Football League is not doing enough to prevent concussions from
continually occurring in the league today and a change in policy is mandatory in order to provide a
safe environment for its players. Nothing matters more than a person s

Araby Coming Of Age Examples
Coming of age stories are an important subset of English literature. Araby and The Ball Poem are both
examples of such pieces. They both depict disappointment or loss in the main characters lives, as well
as the recognition that a replacement is something less than the original. In addition to this, they show
the characters thoughts changing in tone after a moment of significance in the plot. Araby in particular
shows a change in the main character due to it being a short story rather than a poem, and having more
time to develop the characterization.
In The Ball Poem, the child, the initial subject of the poem, loses his ball and watches it bounce all the
way down into the harbor, beyond recovery. After this, the speaker tells how the boy, senses first

Often, the event of growing up is represented as a series of events and experiences, culminating in the
realization that one is a child no longer. However, some forms of literature, due to length restrictions,
are unable to show the process in full, and so will describe the initiating event, which it is assumed
will eventually lead to the subject maturing over time. One example of this is the poem The Ball
Poem, by John Berryman; do to its relatively short length, Berryman told of the loss of the ball, which
was a metaphor for innocence and childhood, and how the child would now have to learn to deal with
the loss and keep going. Araby, in comparison, is a longer text, though still a short story, and as such is
not constrained by the same length restrictions. The main character s coming of age is, as such, shown
over several events, although they are still in a very short time span when compared to a full life of

What Is Electromyography Is A Method For Evaluate Levels...
Abstract: Electromyography is a method to evaluate levels of muscular activity. When a muscle fiber
contracts, an action potential is generated and this circulates along the muscular fibers. In
electromyography, electrodes are connected to the skin and the electrical activity of muscles is
measured and graph is plotted. The surface electromyography signals selected during the muscular
activity are interfaced with a system. The EMG signals from individual suffering from Neuropathy
and healthy individual, so obtained, are processed and analyzed using signal processing techniques.
This project includes the investigation and interpretation of EMG signals of healthy and Neuropathic
individuals using MATLAB. The prospective utilization of this study is in developing the prosthetic
device for the people with Neuropathic disability.

What I Was At An Ethics Unit
it might be said
I OVERALL UNIT REFLECTION
The past few weeks have been tough and definitely not what I was expecting of an ethics unit. Week
in, week out I find myself stumped by questions I don t have the answers to. However more than ever
before I am trying to come up with decisive answers regarding what my opinion is on certain ethical
issues, rather than just analysing the merits and demerits of other people s viewpoints.
II STRUCTURE OF REFLECTION
For my reflection I will be outlining the main practical skills that I have gained from this unit whether
it be from the weekly readings, tutorial exercises and/or online modules and material. The practical
skills gained consist of intellectual, performative and affective skills all of which are essential for
practicing lawyers, however for the purpose of this reflection primary focus will be placed upon
intellectual and affective skills.
III PRACTICAL SKILLS

Example Of Operant Conditioning
Operant conditioning is one kind of learning process demonstrated by B.F. Skinner that changes the
behavior through the use of reinforcement and punishment. A behavior can change as a result of the
individual response to stimuli that occur in the environment. According to Staddon and Cerutti (2003),
operant behavior described by Skinner as a behavior that controlled by its consequences is in practice
little different from what had previously been termed instrumental learning and what most people
would call habit (p.115). Basically, in this conditioning, the term reinforcement will be used to refer to
any event that strengthen the behavior, meanwhile the term punishment used in any event that weaken

believe the employer would want us to possess. It is not that easy anymore as employers are looking
for more. Soft skills are increasingly sought out by employers in addition to standard qualifications.
Soft skills are behavioral competencies. Also known as interpersonal skills or people skills (Pazhani
Priya, 2012). Many times an employer will start your interview without you knowing it. They will
watch your interaction with people and your overall demeanor. For women going after a leadership or
managerial position, soft skills such as strength, independence, fearlessness, and intelligence are
sought after as these are characteristics of successful leaders (Plietz, 2012). ... Show more content on

Every healthcare leader must possess these skills to achieve lasting change (Verdon, 2015). If your
intention is to make a difference in healthcare and you feel you already have the soft skills discussed,

Business Ethics Has Been Difficult For Me Essay
Business Ethics has been difficult for me. I have not had any background in business and so learning
the vocabulary was definitely a challenge. The course as a whole has many different parts. The lecture
and notes as well as the case readings. The case readings tied all of the vocabulary together and helped
me to put the information we have learned into a real life scenario. Overall, Business Ethics has been a
great way for me to learn about different companies. I also believe this course helped me to look
behind the scenes at the layers of business, and overall the course gave me a better knowledge and
understanding of business as a whole. I have never taken a business class before, and to be honest, I
had no idea what I was getting myself into with this particular course. The vocabulary was all very
new to me as were a lot of the concepts. I had to really digest each slide on my own and break down a
lot of the vocabulary that other students might have known due to a background in business. This class
did enhance my knowledge of business and business ethics. I wouldn t necessarily say the course
changed my view on business, as I didn t really have a view. The course did give me a view on
business, that I now have. I think it was important for me to take this course because I will benefit
from knowing more about business ethics, and also business in general. One of my favorite parts of
the course was reading all the different cases. I found the cases really helped me

June turned into a goat. Why did everything turn so small? , cried June. You fool, said the Witch, you
have turned into a Goat, and you will be like that for the rest of your life if you can find three roses.

The Therapeutic Benefits of Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation We live in a world today in which we
are continuously looking for the new thing. With the speed of technological advances in our society,
individuals have become accustomed to reading up on the newest, most innovative to date jet plane,
new shoes with new technology for speed and agility, and, of course, new iPhones coming out twice a
year with cool new applications. The common word here is new and it is a simple syllable that has the
power to make any novel thing be perceived as appealing. As modern medicines continue to develop,
the public is also in demand for new age therapies, and thus we have seen an increase in attention
being directed toward the use of holistic medicines. Naturalistic and holistic methods are receiving
positive criticisms leading to an increase in the attention it is being granted them from multiple fields

Women Fat Research Paper
Fats in the human body are stored in cells known as adipocytes. Adipocytes, also known as lipocytes
and fat cells, are the cells that primarily compose adipose tissue, specialized in storing energy as fat.
Fat can also be stored as droplets in skeletal muscle cells that hold about 2,000 3,000 kilocalories.
Some fat even flows freely through the blood in a human body. Fat is one of the three macronutrients.
Macronutrients are substance required in large quantities in a living organism. Other than fat, proteins
and carbohydrates are macronutrients. Women can carry more fat than women. The fat in a woman
represents around 18% 20% of her body weight. The fat in a man only represents about 10% 15% of
his body weight. There is one main reason for this. That reason being ... Show more content on

Women also often metabolize fat faster than men. Women are also better at burning fat in exercise
than men, making it easier for them to lose the fat that they gain. During exercise, women exhibit less
respiratory exchange ratios than men. This means that women have more fat burning and less carb
burning. Although women can mostly lose fat quicker than men, they can gain it quicker to. Women
make more triglycerides, which is an ester derived from glycerol and fatty acids, than men do. This
means that the fat is being taken up into the adipose tissue at a higher rate in women than men. Also,
even if women generally burn fat simpler, they are more have a higher overall obesity rate compared
to men. 25 percent of adult women in the United States are obese and 20 percent of adult men are
obese in the United States. Men generally carry their weight and fat in their abdominal area, or they

(Thomas Jefferson, an intimate history [by] Fawn M. Brodie. Published: New York, Norton [1974])
Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743, at Shadwell, the family farm in Goochland (now
Albemarle) County, Virginia. (The date was April 2 by the calendar then in use.) He was the third
child in the family and grew up with six sisters and one brother. Two other brothers died in infancy.
His father, Peter Jefferson, had served as surveyor, sheriff, colonel of militia, and member of the
House of Burgesses. Thomas s mother, Jane Randolph Jefferson, came from one of the oldest families
in Virginia. Thomas developed the normal interests of a country boy #8212;hunting, fishing,
horseback riding, and canoeing. He also learned to play the violin and to love music. Jefferson was 14
years old when his father died. As the oldest son, he became head of the family. He inherited more
than 2,500 acres (1,010 hectares) of land and at least 20 slaves. His guardian, John Harvie, managed
the estate until Jefferson was 21. Thomas began his studies under a tutor. At age 9, he went to live
with a Scottish clergyman, who taught him Latin, Greek, and French. After his father died, Thomas
entered the school of James Maury, an Anglican clergyman, near Charlottesville. (Thomas Jefferson :

Business Analysis
Introduction
The sources of new business ideas come from a variety of places. It could be from a problem that
needs to be solved from a consumer, existing knowledge in a business and a vision to improve, or
recognizing an alternative use for a new technology. While ideas are plentiful, the ability to bring that
idea to fruition, and create a profitable business from it, is much more difficult.
Examples
The example from chapter 4 was interesting on Elon Musk (Hisrich, Peters, Shepherd, 2017). His
ability to build a business, sell it, then build a bigger business, gives insight that he is more interested
in solving large seemingly insurmountable, problems than holding on to a business. Musk is not afraid
of big risks. His legacy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Failure can appropriately encourage better choices in the future. His idea generation came in the form
of knowing the business he was getting into and combining another business to complement the
current venture. Without moving forward in his education and obtaining a job to learn how to dig into
financials of a company, he would not have had the opportunity to generate his idea. There is a video
that is shown in many continuing education classes on IDEO, which is a company in California that
takes an existing product and makes it better. Through observation, industry study, and a variety of
other methods, the innovation team that consists of a biologist, psychologist, MBA graduate, and an
engineer, among others, generates ideas through problem solving and creative visualizing. They
quickly boil down the ideas into something that can be manufactured and meets core requirements of
the customer to produce prototypes. They take the best ideas from the prototypes and create the final
recommendation. Their structured process to idea creation is fascinating, from a diverse team aspect,
as well as efficiency. It seems chaotic at times but repeatedly they have produced products for existing
companies such as the new shopping cart at Fresh Market and Whole Foods, shoes that pump up and
toothbrushes with varying bristle lengths. Another example of a product created

Athletics For A Majority Of The Student Population
Athletics in Education Athletics, for a majority of the student population, provides a very meaningful
experience in education. People that participate in athletics will have better self esteem, social
confidence, and more academic achievement. Participating in an athletic program will help the student
contribute to the school community, which will help them identify with school values. One factor that
may be overlooked in the participation of sports is that it helps students have better physical health.
Students who participate in sports learn to respect their health and they will try to stay healthier than
students who have never participated in a sport. There are so many numerous reasons to get involved

Coaches are able to work with students and change their lives. In my career I have coached many
young students, but the one thing that puzzled me was the barriers causing some students not to
participate. What are the barriers for students to not want to participate in athletics or other physical
activities? This was the question that I ask myself when I look at some students that don t participate
in sports. I understand that sports are not for everyone in the student population, but why are some
students so hesitant to exercise? Some students are not participating in physical activates because
there are too many barriers for them. I started my research by doing an online search for barriers to
physical activity. After numerous searches I found a website that featured many reasons people don t
participate in physical activates. The biggest break in my research was when I found an article titled
Male Adolescents Reasons for Participating in Physical Activity, Barriers to Participation, and
Suggestions for Increasing Participation . This article provided me with a variety of information about
why male students choose to not participate in sports. Through further research I was able to locate an
article on why females choose not to participate in sports. Armed with very useful tools I was ready to
start diving deeper into this topic. When I was researching my topic I tried to narrow my results for
the barriers of sport participation into three

Word Study on Nephesh
Young Hoon (John) Kim
The Hebrew word Nephesh occurs 754x throughout the Old Testament, Psalms use 144x, three times
of verb form (to exhale), and the plural form of Nephesh occurs fifty tiems. Though, KJV translates
the term as life 280x, personality 220x, throat thirty three times, and neck four times, the standard
gloss is soul/life. A verb form of Nephesh to exhale (Exod. 23:12; 31:17; 2 Kings 16:14) shows that
this word is closely related to living being. Moreover, the expression hayyĆ¢ alive (Gen. 2:7) indicates
that it is being used to describe people or animals. Furthermore, when Nephesh being used as subject

As an object, nāsal deliver (Josh. 2:13; Isa. 44:20), mālat to save (1 Sam. 19:11), hālas rescue (Ps.

The word Nephesh has three primary senses. Sense 1 is living being as general, which is closely
related to a life. Sense 2 is soul, and sense 3 is throat, which closely relates to the verb form of
Nephesh to breath. Examples of sense 1 refer to the precious individual living self (Ex. 21:23; Lev.

the context of the creation and the flood, Nephesh refers to animals and people (Gen. 1:20f; 24; 9:10,
12, 15f; Lev. 11:10, 46; Ezek. 47:9). Sense 2 is connected to sense 1 but refers to sphere aspect. When
the word refers to soul, Nephesh is being used to connect with emotional state of joy, Bring joy to the
soul of your servant, for I long for you, O Lord (Ps. 86:4). Not only of emotional state, but also it is
being used as appreciation, Pleasant words are ... sweet to the soul (Prov. 16:23), Knowledge will be

  • 2. First Steps in Beginning Language Intervention Summary The topic for today s reading was 1st Steps in Beginning Language Intervention. The first assigned reading, Errorless Teaching and the Use of Transfer Procedures, established that the difference between a great Applied Behavior Analysis program and a mediocre program is often in the details of correct prompting procedures. It s important when teaching a child with autism or any developmental delay that you not only know the science of ABA and the conceptual analysis of VB, but also that you can deliver accurate and appropriate therapy. Prompts are the little nudges or hints that will increase the likelihood of a correct response from your child. The bases of prompting include the several difference types of prompts, and a hierarchy to identify how invasive the prompt is. For a child to be successful is better to use the least intrusive prompt, such as physical prompt (partial physical prompt), gestural prompts (model or imitative prompt/partial imitative prompt), and other prompts (visual and textual prompts). Also this reading pointed out how too many antecedents and a non invasive prompt cause the child to not complete the task that he is being asked to do and in to reinforced the child s non compliance, such as the example of Lucas and his dad with the control remote after Lucas has shortly begun his ABA therapy. When giving an instruction it s best to give only one antecedent, expect only one behavior, and delivery only one consequence. Giving too much ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Tiziano Titian Research Paper Titian (Tiziano Vecellio) was born in Pieve di Cadore, a small town at the foot of the Dolomites on the Venetian side of the Alps. The Vecellio s had been based in Cadore since the 14th century. Titian s father, Gregorio, was a military man. His older brother Francesco was also a painter. There is still no documentary evidence of Titian s exact date of birth, but contemporary sources and his early stylistic development suggest that he was born around 1490. Titian was a painter who painted famous paintings of religious beliefs such as Sacred and Profane Love and Venus of Urbino which were lost in fire but are safe on the internet. Titian trained under two other seminal Venetian artists, Giovanni Bellini (active by 1459, died 1516) and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This mythology inspired work was just one of several commissioned by Alfonso I d Este, duke of Ferrara. Titian managed to cultivate a broad range of royal patrons during his career, including King Philip II of Spain and Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Titian s Venetian home was a mecca for many of the community s artistic types. He had an especially close friendship with writer Pietro Aretino. Aretino is said to have helped Titian get some of his commissions. Sculptor and architect Jacopo Sansovino was another frequent visitor. Over the years, Titian created portraits of leading figures of the day. He painted two works featuring Pope Paul III between 1545 and 46, and spent six months living at the Vatican while making these paintings. In 1548, he traveled to the court of Charles V, where he painted his portrait as well. In his later career, Titian focused more on religious and mythological works. For Spain s Philip II, he painted Venus and Adonis (c. 1554), a piece inspired by Ovid s Metamorphoses that shows the goddess Venus trying in vain to hold on to her beloved Adonis. Titian again explored his fascination with the Roman goddess of love in Venus and the Lute Player ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Telecoms refers to the utilization of electronic platforms to transmit information from one place to another. With the ongoing shift towards telecoms in Canada, the use of products and services via both wired and wireless telecoms carriers is increasing. Moreover, the necessity for organizations to transfer information, and for individuals to stay connected with one another reinforces the need for telecoms. Purposes of Report This report aims to: 1) Analyze the financial data of Telus Corporation to obtain key ratios and statistics for an investment recommendation. 2) Compare financials ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is the lowest it has been in the last five years (Refer to appendix table 3). However in 2013, Telus dramatically increased the number of shares outstanding which resulted in a lower EPS. Although EPS is a common indicator for a company s profitability, another factor that can be utilized is cash flow. Cash Flow Telus possesses a strong cash flow. For the last five years, Telus has been increasing its cash with the exception of 2014 (Refer to table 2). In 2015 Telus cash increased by 163 million (USD), with the end cash position being 223 million (TMX Money, 2015). A healthy cash flow is extremely important for any company that wants to meet its short term debts. As long as a company has a positive net cash flow, it will be able to pay its debts and continue operating. Therefore, due to its positive cash flow, Telus will be able to invest in growth opportunities and secure debt with ease if needed. The customer turnover rate for Telus is quite low. This is because it has managed to increase its subscribers in TV, wireless and internet (Donnelly, 2016). Consequently, Telus is expected to grow because of these factors. Furthermore, the aspect of high dividends makes Telus an attractive investment. On December 11, 2015 Telus quarterly dividend was $0.44/share (Telus Investor Information, 2015), which provides a safe, stable cash flow. Analysis of the Financial Position of Telus ... This quotation from former San Francisco 49er, Chris Borland, exemplifies the concern for the increase in occurrence of concussions in the National Football League. A concussion is defined as a type of traumatic brain injury caused by a blow to the head ( NFL Concussions ). The debate on who is truly responsible for the injury s increasing presence in the NFL continues to be disputed in the league today. Whether the blame is to be placed on the administrative personnel of the league or the players and their actions, change is the one common denominator in the stances taken by both sides. The National Football League is not doing enough ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The fact that a use of a more efficient test for diagnoses of the injury has not been implemented into the league s concussion protocol provides support for this argument. Improper education of the true amount of risk involved that will affect a player in the long term displays the carelessness of the league s front office. Almost every athlete that remains connected to the NFL has a family that relies on them for income and support. • 14. Araby Coming Of Age Examples Coming of age stories are an important subset of English literature. Araby and The Ball Poem are both examples of such pieces. They both depict disappointment or loss in the main characters lives, as well as the recognition that a replacement is something less than the original. In The Ball Poem, the child, the initial subject of the poem, loses his ball and watches it bounce all the way down into the harbor, beyond recovery.
