20. EVALUATING THE PERFOMANCE OF LIBRARIES
1. Efficiency: Evaluating the performance of libraries helps developers assess the
speed and resource usage of different libraries. This allows them to choose the
most efficient library that can meet their requirements while minimizing resource
consumption.
2. Scalability: Performance evaluation helps determine how well a library can scale
with increasing data or user load. This is important for projects that require handling
large amounts of data or high user traffic.
3. Comparisons: By evaluating the performance of different libraries, developers can
compare their strengths and weaknesses. This allows them to choose the library
that provides the best performance for their specific use case.
4. Optimization: Performance evaluation helps identify bottlenecks or areas where a
library may lag in terms of performance. Developers can then optimize these areas
or make informed trade-offs depending on the project requirements. 20
21. Aimed to shed light on the importance of evaluating the
performance of organizations, particularly focusing on
University Libraries in Sri Lanka.
