Oxfam International is bringing 15 young people aged 18-25 to the XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City. These 15 youth have all been impacted by HIV/AIDS and work in their communities either directly with those affected by the disease or to prevent its spread. Oxfam's larger Youth Partnerships program called the Global Village Project includes 300 young activists from around the world working for social change related to issues like equitable access to health services and HIV/AIDS which disproportionately impact youth.
