Neuromancer Essay
The life of a human being is defined not only by their own definition by character or nature but also
by external influences such as environment and development. It is only natural for a human being to
be inter connected with surroundings and to be a part of the actions and events around him /her. Due
to the nature of the human mind in which we use to improvise upon existing methods of improving
quality of life and comforts, the world has evolved into a place of complex technological
development. The influence of technology and other developments in regard to artificially created
luxuries has played an important role in shaping our world and continues to be our top priority of
existence. The impact that the evolving world and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In his book, Neuromancer, the environment description is that of cyberspace, where the central
character, Case is portrayed as an expert computer hacker who is recruited by a character named
Amritage, who is one of those characters that are not disclosed to public eye, just recruiting the people
to finish their job. Amritage is seen to be in a partnership with Molly, who jointly assign a series of
missions to the the central character of our story, Case. As the story continues in the same direction,
the mission is seen to be transferred to the Artificial intelligence company, Wintermute, who later join
hands with another Artificial Intelligence company, Neuromancer. The story revolves around the
capacity of technology in using it against someone or something, irrespective of what the ultimate aim
or result could be.
The novel, Neuromancer is classified under the genre of Cyberpunk, which implies that the novel is
downright, strong science fiction, involving mainly the use of technology in all circumstances, the
environment described, a scene of the future of science as imagined. The book addresses a number of
negative aspects such as the use of technology for illegal and/or wrong causes, the involvement of
most individuals in high risk crimes and the social decay that follows them as consequences of using
technology for all tasks or missions, which makes crime a lot common. The

How Did The Global Economic Crisis Affect Canada
The 2000s was an extremely eventful decade for Canadians, with fierce federal elections taking place
and numerous disasters, such as the Toronto Explosions making a great deal of destruction. However,
an event that left lasting effects was the 2008 global economic crisis, which due to its influence on the
U.S and China, significantly impacted Canada s economy and society. Although the crisis had a very
negative effect on Canada, it also allowed the government, businesses, banks and citizens to learn
from the struggles of the recession and allow Canada to emerge as a stronger and more successful
nation. With the growing integration of the global economies, the financial crisis had a number of
channels to spread through, thus, having a widespread ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
400, 000 jobs were lost across the country as every single sector, such as retail, manufacturing,
transportation, natural resources, construction and warehousing trade had either lost profits or
drastically cut employee wages. This had numerous effects since apart from increasing the
unemployment rate to an all time high, the Canadian Economic Observor reported that households all
over Canada lost more than 8% of their net income and incurred about 2% of debit. Also, many
obstacles arose for those attempting to get out of the financial crisis which got stronger by each
passing month, such as how countless employees were not able to collect their worker benefits and
pensions had been cut. With the development of new issues in the wake of the financial collapse,
Canadians had looked toward the government for solutions, but had no success. Along with the federal
government denying that Canada was in a recession for the majority of it, Stephen Harper proposed
that Canadians should invest in the stock market even though it was facing historic lows and was slow
in taking action to strengthen Canada s economy. Furthermore, many of the initiatives the government
did plan on conducting were only short term investments and had not required funding past the

The Elements Of Style By William Strunk Jr.
William Strunk Jr., an English professor at Cornell University in 1919 required his students to have
the textbook The Elements of Style, written by William Strunk Jr. himself. It was referred to as the
little book and was a forty three page summary of the case for cleanliness, accuracy and brevity in the
use of English (Strunk White, 2000). These rules are in the form of sharp commands, shining light on
Sergeant Strunk s personality and approach to teaching. E.B. White, a former student of Strunk,
revised the book he was given, years after his professor passed away. White does not soften the direct
orders of the original book, but preserves the flavor of his discontent while enlarging the scope of the
discussion (Strunk White, 2000 xiv). The Elements of Style provides the readers with a convenient
reference for grammar, while emphasizing the importance of omitting needless words, using concrete
language and active voice all in a suitable design. When he delivered his oration on brevity to the
class, he leaned forward over his desk, grasped his coast lapels in his hands, and, in a husky,
conspiratorial voice, said, Rule Seventeen. Omit needless words! Omit needless words! Omit needless
words! (Strunk White, 2000, xv). Strunk provides an image for the most important aspect of his book.
The repetition of this rule throughout the entire book, proves not only the importance of it to Professor
Strunk, but to writing as a whole. The author s advocate trimming

Dian Diana Der-Hovanessian s Essay Two Voices
The Armenian Genocide left the Armenians in ruin. Apart for the human and material loss, the
sociocultural loss was most significant. The Armenians were robbed of their centuries old, rich culture
within in a space of a year. Their society was forced into diaspora in order to survive. This movement
encouraged integration into other countries and resulted in partial loss of the suffering Armenian
culture.
Those Armenians who survived the genocide of 1915 were forced to exile their Homeland in the
Ottoman Empire in order to survive. Behind them they left their culture; castles, towns, villages,
churches, thousands of manuscripts and cultural secrets and data were destroyed. This effectively
stripped the Armenians of their rich heritage left from ancestors. Within years, an entire culture, it s
people and its all histories were virtually erased. Today, Armenians are dispersed throughout the
Middle East and the United States, with only about 1 million of the estimated 9 million actually living
in Armenia. This diaspora of the Armenians, living scattered across the world, has created a struggle to
hold on to their Armenian identity. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

By May, the peso depreciated as it reached to an average of P52 per dollar; And by June, dropped to
P53.59 per dollar. This was caused by the Higher risk aversion in the global markets and the possible
increase of the Federal Reserve Bank s interest rate. Conversely, the peso appreciated by 1.66%
reaching to a level of P52.31 per dollar on June and closed at P51.97 per dollar on July 25, after the
president s State of the Nation Address. And by August, it reached to a P51.33 per dollar rate,
increasing by 1.90% from its previous rate. Due to the increasing confidence by investors and
improving economic conditions, the peso further increased its value and reached to an average rate of
P50.37 per dollar in September and P49.91 in early October, the highest level since 2002.
Volatility during the year 2006:
Due to oil price roll backs and the approval of the RVAT law, the peso s volatility improved early in
January 2006 averaging P0.19. It continued its trend in March to an average of P0.13. However, the
peso s volatility increased to P0.30 in April and P0.59 in May which was caused by the depreciation of
the value of the currency. In June, volatility decreased to P0.23. This was attributable to the increase
of the country s GDP by 5.5% in the second quarter of 2006. But it rose again in July to an average of

Analysis Of Grendel And The Epic Of Beowulf
Merriam Webster defines a hero as a person who is admired for great or brave acts and defines a
villain as a character who does bad things. These definitions may not be so indubitable as John
Gardner takes a hero and villain to a whole new level in his novel, Grendel. Throughout the years of
novels and short stories, heroes and villains have been constructed as strictly good versus evil, but
what if there is good in evil and evil in good? Grendel and the epic, Beowulf, revolve around this idea
of heroes and villains and good versus evil. Gardner s twist on the stereotypical hero leads to the true
definition of a hero being changed as he creates one who has a nihilistic view on his atypical life. A
hero in the eyes of the Anglo Saxons has superman strength, undertakes a great quest which relates to
society s values, battles a great monster, and is required to pay homage to a god. Beowulf makes it
black and white on whom the hero and villain are; Beowulf being the wonderful hero who kills the
inimical villain, Grendel. Gardner s novel, Grendel, has a skewed view on who the hero and villain
Gardner uses the villain from Beowulf and creates a novel around him and his viewpoints on his
world. However Grendel fits almost perfectly into the characteristics of a hero, according to the Anglo
Saxons. He posses super strength which is demonstrated through the altercations he has with man. In
fact, man is Grendel s evil or villain. Chapter one includes examples to prove Grendel s

The Ethics Of Eating Meat
Since the time of caveman to the modern day society, humans have always eaten meat as a part of
daily life, As far back as it can be traced...Our ancestry is among the hunter/gatherers from the
beginning. Once domestication of food sources began, it included both animals and plants (McArdle).
Although these modern times that we live in have created new substances and ways to replace the
natural way to eat meat, people will always have reason to go back to the original way to get the basic
nutrition of meat. Human beings should support the basic idea that eating meat is ethical because
human bodies were created to be omnivore, people have evolved to manipulate animals in an
intelligent manner, and there are several alternative and ethical ways of eating meat.
The traits that the human body consist of are meant for more natural foods to be ingested, which are
both both meats and vegetables, making humans omnivores. The teeth and digestive tract that
individuals were provided with are meant to break down animal and plant based foods to provide
nutrients to the rest of the body to keep it running (McArdle). People were meant to eat meat in the
first place, it cannot be considered unethical, because it is a part of the natural way of life. For
example, when a lion hunts its prey to provide dinner for its cub and mate, it is not considered
unethical, it is a part of the lion s daily life. The lion going after the prey as a source of food is its way
of survival, and is not

Proof Vs Burden Of Proof
Law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice and when they fail in the purpose they
become the dangerously structured dam that block the flow of the social progress . The quote
illustrates that justice and fairness is the crux elements during court proceedings. Therefore, the
factfinder need to consider from a logical thinking and in compliance with the natural justice theory

that everyone should entitle of a fair and unbiased public hearing from the factfinder. Therefore, every
detail of the court proceedings is importance especially the allocation of burden of proof. Across the
years, the issue on who shall bear the burden of proof during litigation still remains in a vague
situation because the judge strike a balance between the states and the accused. The definition of
burden of proof is the legal obligation of one party having the responsibility to prove the issue of
contention on the required of standard of proof. The burden generally divided into two, legal and

Vladimir Lenin And The Soviet Revolution
Vladimir Lenin has proven to be a difficult figure to place in history. Some choose to view him as one
of the most influential political leaders in history, while others allow him to fade off into the past.
Lenin s image also greatly depends on where one lives. In the western half of the world, Lenin is
viewed as a man of destruction, and Winston Churchill called him The Grand Repudiator. In other
parts of the world, he is viewed as a man who tried to make the best out of a failing situation. Lenin
was a revolutionary intellectual who establish the Bolshevik Party (later renamed the Communist
Party). He was the leader of the Bolshevik Revolution, and, therefore, began the first government of
the Soviet Union. Lenin became leader of the USSR in 1922 and ruled until his death in 1924, when
Joseph Stalin assumed power. Though many argue that Lenin started one of the worst governments in
history, Russian Communism, Lenin actually provided a solution for the troubling times in Russia. In
the 1890, Lenin quit his job as a lawyer and moved to St. Petersburg where he became involved with a
group of radicals that supported the ideas of Karl Marx. In 1903 at the Second Congress of the
Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (RSDLP), Lenin and his fellow radicals argued for the
development of a new political party that was tight knit and limited in number. This party would be
highly involved in organizational work. Later in 1904 1905 when Russia went to war with Japan, and

Night in William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream...
Night in William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream One of the recurring themes throughout
Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream is the time of day during which the play s major action
takes place: night. This being the case, there are certain words that are directly linked to this theme
that appear numerous times throughout the script. Four such words are moon, moonlight, moonshine,
and lunatic. Each comes from a feminine root that serves to identify the women in the play as prizes to
be won and controlled. It becomes clear when looking up the term moon in the Oxford English
Dictionary that the word is associated with the feminine. In poetry, for instance, the moon is often

Theseus looks to the moon to measure how soon he will wed his fiancé, Hippolyta. Hippolyta
responds in kind, commenting, And then the moon, like to a silver bow / New bent in heaven, shall
behold the night / Of our solemnities (1.1.7, 14). Not only does the bride speak of the moon as a
measurement (for when it becomes a silver bow, or crescent, they wed), but she also speaks of the
night when the moon wanes as a time of festive marriage ceremonies. It is important to take into
account the character of Hippolyta in this instance. Having Theseus wed Hippolyta, Queen of the
Amazons, takes away Hippolyta s power as a strong female. She, too, is counting the nights by the
waning of the moon until she is legitimately wed and under the control of a husband. The lesser
characters, below royalty in the social order, take part in illicit happenings veiled by night, as the
moon oversees the activities of May Day/Midsummer s Eve. The moon is considered a passive
overseer or witness to (the actions of humankind) (Brown 1645). In the forest of Oberon and Titania,
the moon is truly an observer. Within a monologue by Titania, the fairy queen announces, Therefore
the moon, the governess of floods, / Pale in her anger, washes all the air, / That rheumatic diseases do
abound (2.1.102, 29). Titania speaks of her quarrel with Oberon in this instance and how it affects all
of nature. Their effect on the natural world is so strong that when they

Jim Hawkins In Treasure Island
In the book Treasure Island, there are two main characters, Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver, the
pirate and leader of mutineers. They sound nothing alike in the beginning, the easily frightened Jim
and the cunning and silver tongued Long John Silver, but by the end of the story, the difference is not
so profound as had been expected. This, including the fact that they are willing to do whatever it takes
to get things done, even breaking a few rules. Jim Hawkins is the first character introduced when
writing down what had happened on the Island several years later. He starts off to seem like a rather
meek boy, who is afraid of the strange man in the Admiral Benbow. This starts to change for Jim
though when Billy Bones dies and he and his mother learn of the pirates coming to the Admiral
Benbow. He takes charge when needed, as seen when he touches the body of the dead Billy Bones
while looking for a key to the chest Bones had. He also takes charge when the pirates storm the
Benbow and he keeps him and his mother hidden out of the sight of the pirates.
When Long John Silver is first introduced, however, he is in cheerful spirits (pg, 55) and a clean, and
pleasant tempered landlord (pg, 57). He is also described as very loud and boisterous and seems to be

The Causes And Impacts Of The Cultural Revolution
The Cultural Revolution (1966~1976) was a sociopolitical movement that was both ideological and
radical in nature. It was a rectification movement that sought to remold the values and ideas of society
and to create a new vision for China, by Mao Zedong. Mao: the Chairman of the Communist Party of
China, was determined to forestall the rebirth of the bureaucratic class and its practice of careerism.
Within his revolution, Mao initiated purges in order to get rid of China s old capitalist tendencies, and
to further instill his Chairman of the Communist Party of China after his power weakened from the

As a result of the extensive farming and industrial work, steel production dramatically increased and
several structures such as roads and hospitals improved the lives of the Chinese people. Despite the
great effort during this period, the Great Leap Forward had failed as the workers in the industries were

unpropitious climate conditions, pressure to meet the standards of the authorities, and mass starvation.
The failure of this period led to Mao Zedong being dismissed from his rank as the State Chairman of
RPC, although he still kept his title as the Chairman of the CCP. In order to combat economic disorder
caused by the Great Leap Program, Liu Shaoqi attained his rank as the new Chairman of RPC while
Deng Xiaoping became the CPC General Secretary. In the face of fiasco after the unsuccessful Great

Alexander Mackendrick s, The Sweet Smell of Success (1957), is a ninety six minute film noir, that

theme of darkness or distrust in the genre of film noir more specifically, the roles that women play in

all J. J. s idea. The film ends as Sidney leaves but gets held up with Kello, who beats him up, and
Susan packing to leave to Steve as J. J. looks into his empty house.
One of the main concepts when it comes to understanding film noir, first is the understanding of the
definition. Film noir is a cycle of postwar films that employed low key lighting and were literally dark
(Nichols, 500). In this particular genre, we are in a world where there is a lack of honesty and trust,
many cases of seduction and betrayal, and darkness submerges people (Nichols, 250). Moreover, film
noir reflects a tone of darkness, exploring themes of seduction, betrayal, and murder (Nichols, 58). In
this film, we will learn more of how seduction and betrayal is used to express the darkness of the film.
Some other traits of film noir that should be understood before exploring the two scenes is
understanding the setting. In most cases, film noir takes place in public spaces such as urban streets,
cafes,

Dbq Italian Cantata
JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH: CANTATA In the Seventeenth century a new style of composition
had its origin in Rome, Italy. This style is known as the cantata da camera or secular cantata. The
study of the cantata shows that there were some problems which remained and could not be solved
due to the huge numbers of compositions during the baroque era. Vocal chamber music performed in
private for the wealthy at their houses, became the most common or popular social entertainment way

Religion in Shakespeare
The religion of William Shakespeare is a subject about which very few people have a complete
understanding. His plays and poems contain an almost overwhelming number of biblical references
and allusions to biblical thinking, which can be seen as either Protestant or Catholic in understanding.
His concealment of various understandings and interpretations of religious ideology make it difficult
to ascertain his own religious beliefs, however, through further analysis of [insert names of plays],
once can begin to understand the socioeconomic issues he sought to raise through his biblical
allusions. Sandra Hole s The Background of Divine Action in King Lear comments on how the play is
a religious rather than a secular play in the sense that its real focus is not on the hero but on the
background of divine action. (Hole, 217) A lot of Shakespeare s plays are set in religious
environments were allusions to Protestant and Catholic doctrines reflect Britain s religious stance in
that period of time. The original source material for King Lear, The moste famous Chronicle historye
of Leire king of England and his Three Daughters, was abandoned, with Shakespeare s play being set
in pre Christian Britain. This may be indicative of Shakespeare s desire to reduce the characters to
basic states of religious or atheistic belief, so as to question religion itself. The characters in
Shakespeare s King Lear are represented as belonging to varying degrees of religious beliefs, from

Common Themes In Breaker Morant, AndThe Crucible
The common theme shared across both texts, a difficult environment can challenge a person s
character or true nature. In Breaker Morant , this is evident through the character of Harry Morant, the
protagonist of the story. Following the death of his friend and comrade, Captain Hunt, Morant orders
his unit, the Bushveldt Carbineers to ride for multiple days at a time in hopes of tracking the Boer
soldiers. As evident by the narration, We rode another couple of days... hardly ever stopped . Who
ambushed, mutilated and stole the jacket of Hunt, a sign that Morant saw as a gesture of disrespect.
Morant took offence to these actions, as he viewed Hunt to be a highly respected and honourable man.
Morant became driven as he finally had a cause that he was willing to put all of his energy towards.
Morant s respect and disgust of the actions are shown when he is shouting at the Boer soldier found
with the Hunt s jacket Captain Hunt had bullet wounds...They mutilated him! This is similarly shown
in The Crucible as John Proctor becomes greatly enraged due to his wife being falsely accused and
arrested. Out of character, Proctor allows his emotions to get the better of him as he lashes out at
Abigail grasping her by the throat as though he would strangle her . This is vastly different to the
manner he had previously been acting, as through the rest of the play as most of his actions were
reserved and thought out.

The World In 6 Glasses Book Review
A History of the World in 6 Glasses This book takes place around the time of 10,000 BCE to modern

taking place in The West Indies, Africa, Europe, and the Colonies. After comes coffee in Mecca,

was used as a form of payment for the workers you built the pyramids. The records indicate that at the

(eight American pints) of beer. Another example for the theme would be Drinks like beer and tea
where at once used as a form of currency. Tea also had a huge impact in American history. The tea act
of 1773 put a heavy tax on tea for the American colonist. This act eventually led to The Boston Tea

The one I see the most is the ad with Santa drinking a coke . Today that ad is something we see often

Structural Testing And Component Integration Testing Essay
 The structural testing is the testing of the structure of the system or component.  Structural testing
is often referred to as white box or glass box or clear box testing because in structural testing we are
interested in what is happening inside the system/application .  In structural testing the testers are
required to have the knowledge of the internal implementations of the code. Here the testers require
knowledge of how the software is implemented, how it works.  During structural testing the tester is
concentrating on how the software does it. For example, a structural technique wants to know how
loops in the software are working. Different test cases may be derived to exercise the loop once, twice,
and many times. This may be done regardless of the functionality of the software.  Structural testing
can be used at all levels of testing. Developers use structural testing in component testing and
component integration testing, especially where there is good tool support for code coverage.
Structural testing is also used in system and acceptance testing, but the structures are different. For
example, the coverage of menu options or major business transactions could be the structural element
in system or acceptance testing. 5.4 Accuracy Assessment (Describe all the methods for assessing the
accuracy of your System) For access the accuracy of the application we check it different different
phases. We check firstly only valid and authentication users only can

Housing Ambassador Research Paper
Two main reasons contribute to why I would love to become a Housing Ambassador. To help get
many prospective and current students excited and involved in campus housing is the first reason. So
many people shoot down on campus housing because of the price; however, people do not realize
housing is more than just a room you pay for. You live here, study here, and have fun here. There are
many events, free stuff, and free food that residence halls and RSA provide for students. I want to be
able to show students that off campus students do not have the same experiences as on campus
students. The second reason I would like to become a Housing Ambassador is for the experience.
Ultimately, I would like to become a dean or chancellor of a college in my golden years. Being an
Housing Ambassador would provide me with life long experiences that I could take into my future
careers as a business leader, politician, and dean/ chancellor.
I possess many unique skills that would make me a great Housing Ambassador, but will only talk
about two. One of those skills is being social. I am a very social person and I love being around
people. Being social would benefit me as a Housing Ambassador because a quiet tour would be a little
awkward for the tourist. People enjoy a guide who is talking to ... Show more content on

Evolution Of American Foreign Diplomacy To Monroe s...
1. Trace the evolution of American foreign diplomacy from Washington s isolationism to Monroe s
interventionist policies.
Throughout history, George Washington and James Monroe generated many different foreign policies
that helped flourish America across the world. During George Washington s presidency, the country
had a hard time trying to gain economic power. The country was going through a tough time trying to
gain money, because the idea of trading was just not working out. Under James Monroe s presidency,
he created the Monroe Doctrine, which allowed the United States to warn the Western Hemisphere
that the U.S. would not allow for the countries in Europe to expand colonization. I will explain the
presidents in between these two presidents, while also including them.
The United States was trying to expand its trading options during the late 1770s on into the 1780s with
European nations. The U.S. had trouble with this because the country was already going failing
economically. The idea was to try to avoid conflict with any nation if possible. The view of
isolationism comes from the idea of trying to have interference with the European nations, but also
trying to avoid conflict. Washington sent John Jay over to Great Britain to try negotiate a plan for
America to trade in the Mediterranean without conflict. Washington hosted a conference in 1785, he
wanted to discuss trade regulations between the states of Virginia and Maryland. The convention was

We are against this concept. Science has proven that when you bulk a muscle, it loses it s elastic
qualities. As a result, the center of the muscle is shortened, balled up, and pulled away from
connective tissue which connects/holds muscles to the joints. This is called muscle hypertrophy.
Science has shown that it can have an adverse effect on athletic movement. This puts more stress on
the ligaments and tendons and causes muscular imbalances. Compare the way a human body is made
to a trampoline. A trampoline has a webbing or net in the middle which we jump on. All of the focus
and attention is usually on the net, similar to how most of the attention is usually put on the size of the
athlete s muscles. But what is actually firing or creating most of the power? Is it the webbing or the
springs? Think about it, the springs that are connected to the skeleton of the trampoline are actually
absorbing most of the shock applied to the trampoline. The springs reverse that energy and catapults a
person high into the air. So we have a net, that is connected to a spring, that is connected to the
skeleton of the trampoline. The human body is made the same way. We have muscles that are attached
to ligaments and tendons that are connected to skeletal bone. Our philosophy of power is this:
plyometrics has proven to be the best way to improve muscle elasticity and connective tissue strength.
There is also a timing that comes along with plyometric

Essay about Understanding Black Holes
Throughout the modern era of astronomy, a single type of celestial object has puzzled astronomers
more than any other. Black holes, whose existence was only verified in the early 1990 s, have
fascinated scientists ever since Einstein first proposed the theoretical concept in the 1930 s. A black
hole is an object so tiny, but also so dense, that it has the power to pull planets, stars, and even light
into its core, and ultimately destroy everything in its path. Over the past decade much has been
discovered about these enigmas of space and time; however, many of these recent discoveries lead to
more unanswered questions. Nevertheless, the basic life cycle of a black hole is now understood in

On the other end of the spectrum, the death of a super massive star is one of the most brilliant displays
of pure power in the universe which includes an amazing light show which has no equal. A super
massive star is exactly what it sounds like, a star so big that it dwarfs our own star in every way. When
a super massive sun begins to run out of out of hydrogen it begins to collapse, but due to its immense
gravity and size, the collapse produces such an abrupt implosion that the last remnants of nuclear
fusion remaining push all the mass of the star back out into space (Britt, 2007). This can be compared
to someone jumping onto a trampoline whose elastic has enough elasticity to force one back into the
air. This occurrence is known as a supernova explosion, which is the largest explosion in the known
universe. A supernova explosion can even be seen from other galaxies, as scientists have done
witnessed from observations using the Hubble telescope. The star is so big, however, that it only
blows its outer atmosphere away, still leaving a massive amount of matter that is doomed to collapse
again, and this time it will be a one way ticket to oblivion. The super massive star finally collapses and
its own incredible mass crushes it s internally and now turns it into a neutron star. An average neutron
star is about ten miles in diameter, or the size of Manhattan. Although this

The Problem Of Induction, Inductive Reasoning, And Weather
The problem of induction, inductive reasoning, and weather or not nature is uniform, are questions
that have been raised by many a great philosopher. Induction, and Inductive reasoning is when you
make observations of past events and occurrences and base your knowledge on those observations.
From these observations you make generalizations, the problem with inductive reasoning and the
problem with induction is that, your observations generalize and assume, sometimes too much,
sometimes on a very limited number of observations which is not necessarily enough to assume that
you are in fact right in knowing about a certain thing. Imagine all the swans you had ever seen or
heard about were white, and you had never seen or heard of a black swan before. You would then
assume and think that there were only such a thing as white swans, and rightly so, but does this mean
there is no such thing as a black swan? No, it just means there has not ever been a black swan that you
have seen or heard of, but because of inductive reasoning, and your own observations you could make
a false claim. The claim that there are only white swans. Inductive reasoning also assumes that
because a sequence of events has happened in the past they will again in the future, this is called the
uniformity of nature, The sun is an example of this, it rises every day and sets every night, and it has
done so since the beginning of time. Therefore, due to the sun rising and setting in the past, due to

Essay about The Middle Colonies
After the first few struggling settlements in the New World progressed, more and more colonies
sprung from the untested North American soil. Eventually, there were three main categories to the
European colonies. They were each unique, although one certain class stood in stark contrast to the
other two. This group, the Middle colonies, was a halfway point between the New England and
Southern colonies and not just geographically. The Middle colonies extracted parts of its neighbors,
like farming habits and spiritual sects, but the middle group managed to retain its own flavor. Perhaps
one of the most important circumstances of the New World was the varying climate. The North
American continent was not the same as its southern ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A significant factor of any civilization, be it vast as the Roman Empire or pitifully miniscule, is
spirituality. Religion was (and even remains to be) a big part of North America. New England was
strictly Puritan. English Puritans sought out haven in the New World, far away from persecution in the
mother country. The Southern colonies consisted mostly of Anglicans, though some may speculate
that the Southerners were more concerned with worshipping wealth. The Middle colonies were quite
different in that there was no single dominant religion. Pennsylvania, which contained the largest city
in all the thirteen colonies, was well known for its many Quaker residents. However, there was also a
fair share of Jews, Catholics, and other faiths, as well as the standard Puritans and Anglicans. Overall,
the most defining factor of the Middle colonies was its ethnic diversity. The backgrounds of its
inhabitants included (but was not limited to) German, Dutch, Scotch Irish, English, French, Welsh,
Swedish, Polish, and Finnish. New England could not compete, for its population was almost entirely
English, save for the scattered Dutch remnants of New Amsterdam and the Native Americans, of
course. The South was biracial, which meant that one was black, white, or an exceedingly rare mixture
of the two. The Middle colonies had slaves, though its percentage of slaves in the population was

Life Before and After the Fall of Communism in the Czech Republic
Recently the senate and county elections in the Czech Republic confirmed that the preference of
Czech voters is shifting to the left, what s more the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia got the
second highest number of votes. The results are disturbing, because the last time Communists won the
polls, the Czechs ended up being oppressed for over 40 years until they managed to overthrow the
government. Now it seems that the same people have suffered from a collective memory loss. Have
they forgotten how life was before 1989 and what crimes the communists committed during their

The reason was that the communists got rid of inconvenient people. They fired people, they made sure
their children couldn t get on the desired universities; they blackmailed, tortured and killed people
through staged trials. For the majority of society it was simpler to act as if they were okay with the
regime. In this day and age human rights are secured through countless declarations, laws and treaties.
International organizations oversee observance and countries that breach these contracts have to face
sanctions and they have to answer to the International Court of Justice.
There are also major differences in the everyday life of normal people back then and now. During the
reign of Communists it was forbidden to travel out of Czechoslovakia. Only those, who had special
permission, could travel abroad and even then, most of these people were monitored by the secret
service. Communism is strictly against capitalism hence the Communists tried to convince the public
that the capitalistic countries were bad and that economically and socially communistic countries were
better off than most of the western capitalistic world. Thus they couldn t let people travel abroad,
because it would be clear right away that they were knowingly deceiving them. People had also a hard
time when they went to shop. There were no products from capitalistic countries and everywhere the
selection was very poor. Things as clothes, modern technology or even meat were scarce products.

The advantages and disadvantages of Community service or social service as modes of criminal
punishment.
Community service or social service is a mode of punishment provide by the law which the offender
can escape imprisonment or fines. Community service acts as an alternative to the harsh criminal
punishment. Generally, community service is handed down by a judge or magistrate to the first timer
offender or teenage offender. This punishment can also be handed down in the case of minor offences
for example traffic violations, petty theft, and other nonviolent offenses. The offender is required to
perform unpaid work or other activity in the community under the direction of a probation officer or

In contrast, only £3,000 is needed to send a person to one year of community rehabilitation order. On
average, sending a person to prison is 12 times higher than sending a person to community service.
Prisons around the world are facing the same problem which is overcrowding prison. More prisoners
means more foods and more security is needed. The increase in the numbers of prisoners subsequently
increases the cost for running the prison. So, based on the facts, community service is a great way to
cut government cost on punishing offenders as it provide for the less expensive approach with similar
effect and helps in reducing the overcrowding problem in prison. Consequently, the money saved can
be used for development thus improve the living of the country.
Secondly, community service is healthier than imprisonment. This is because, community service
offer help to the offenders to rehabilitate themselves more effectively than in prison. This is mainly
because; by community service the offenders are able to give something back to the community as
prove that they have change. By doing so, the offenders will have small risk of reoffending neither in
the number of crimes nor the seriousness of the crimes. If the offender is stuck in the 6×8 feet cell, the
offender will have limited resources to help him rehabilitate.
Furthermore, putting a first time offender with minor offence in the same room with big time criminal

Utopian Cults Essays
For many years, cults have been a subject of great controversy. A cult is a group of people that are
bound together by an appreciation of the same thing, person, ideal, etc. Usually these groups keep
close because of religious reasons, but their beliefs are almost always considered strange by outsiders.
Cults are similar to clans or congregations, but are usually referred to as sects.
There are many different categories that a cult could be sorted into. Apocalyptic, Utopian,
Spiritualistic, Satanic, and Witchcraft/Voodoo cults are just some of the more basic types. While an
Apocalyptic cult would focus on the end of the world, a Utopian cult would center more on a perfect

A utopia is any visionary system of political or social perfection. In Moore s novel an ideal place to
live was described and since then many people on Earth have searched to find a utopia of their own.
Utopian Cults created exclusive, self supporting communities that were completely isolated from the
sinful world. In all of these cults, success of the community was most important and individual wants
came second. The leader of the clan would assign jobs to his/her followers and they had to work.
Assignments were usually tasks such as farming, because the cult s community was isolated from the
rest of the world and needed to feed themselves. All recorded Utopian cults have failed within 20
years of effort proving that none of them were up to the enormous challenge of perfection. The most
famous Utopian cult of all time was led by Jim Jones and it was called the People s Temple. At the age
of 22, Jim Jones opened his first church, the People s Temple in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jones taught his
followers to treat all races equally which was not popular in the early fifties. To show their
disapproval, many people would knock him off of his bike and some even threw dead cats into his
church, but Jones kept preaching. Things turned around for Jones when the Civil Rights Movement
began, his church expanding not only over Indianapolis but all over America. In 1961, Jim Jones and
his family moved to Brazil where Jones served as a missionary for two years. He

The rise of Prussia from 1640 to 1715 was mainly due to the great leadership of Frederick William the

factors led to the rise of Prussia also. The major factor that helped Prussia become a great power was

Many of the social factors that led to the rise of Prussia were made by Fredrick the Great. Some even
called him The Social Reformer . He made life for Prussians easier by abolishing torture and corporal
punishment.[7] He established religious tolerance and freedom of speech by ending censorship.[8]
Fredrick resettled immigrants from Austria to establish weaving as a major Prussian industry.[9] He
proved himself as an enlightened ruler who reformed Prussia s agriculture, legal system, industry and
government for the better.[10] He added a diversity of skills to his country by integrating religions into
his countries everyday life such as, Jewish teachers, or Jesuit merchants and bankers.[11] He also
purposely set reasonable prices on grain so farmers and townspeople wouldn t go hungry.[12]
Frederick William I also helped socially unite Prussia by created a strong centralized bureaucracy.
This allowed commoners to rise to top positions in the civil government. So now power rested with
the hard working, not with the men who were born rich or with land. With this change, there was no
longer Parliamentary Estates. This socially reformed Prussia set the foundation for a powerful
Prussian empire. Prussian leaders wanted to establish royal absolutism.[13] Most of the political
reform was a change in who was in political positions of power. Frederick William and Frederick

Gender Aspects Of The Sailor Moon And Sailor Moon
Commercials on television for superheroes always had them men doing the saving and then the
women needing to be saved. The very few girl superheroes that were well known were Wonder
Woman, Super Girl and Storm. However, in anime there are a bunch of girls fighting to save the world
and saving the men. Sailor Moon is on top of the list when it comes to girl power, being released in
1992, and Sailor Moon Crystal was released in 2014. Sailor moon was seen by some critics as
sexualized, but others argue that it isn t as bad as some of the other animes that were released after
Sailor Moon. Girl superheroes in anime were a mix of being sexy and cute, and the sexy in Sailor
Moon was just a bunch of short skirts, high heels, and a small amount of cleavage. Sailor Moon
challenged the norms in Japan when it came to gender roles, sexual orientation and presentation of
womanhood.
At an early age, girls were pushed to follow gender roles especially when it was in the early 1990s. It
was something different to see on the television screens girls fighting and challenging gender roles. In
Sailor Moon, the audience witness a reverse role with the girls being the heroes, even though the male
character Tuxedo Mask can also be a hero, his role was minimal because it was the sailor scouts that
did most, if not all of the work. Victoria Newsom in her critical essay said

  • 3. How Did The Global Economic Crisis Affect Canada The 2000s was an extremely eventful decade for Canadians, with fierce federal elections taking place and numerous disasters, such as the Toronto Explosions making a great deal of destruction. However, an event that left lasting effects was the 2008 global economic crisis, which due to its influence on the U.S and China, significantly impacted Canada s economy and society. Although the crisis had a very negative effect on Canada, it also allowed the government, businesses, banks and citizens to learn from the struggles of the recession and allow Canada to emerge as a stronger and more successful nation. With the growing integration of the global economies, the financial crisis had a number of channels to spread through, thus, having a widespread ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 400, 000 jobs were lost across the country as every single sector, such as retail, manufacturing, transportation, natural resources, construction and warehousing trade had either lost profits or drastically cut employee wages. This had numerous effects since apart from increasing the unemployment rate to an all time high, the Canadian Economic Observor reported that households all over Canada lost more than 8% of their net income and incurred about 2% of debit. Also, many obstacles arose for those attempting to get out of the financial crisis which got stronger by each passing month, such as how countless employees were not able to collect their worker benefits and pensions had been cut. With the development of new issues in the wake of the financial collapse, Canadians had looked toward the government for solutions, but had no success. Along with the federal government denying that Canada was in a recession for the majority of it, Stephen Harper proposed that Canadians should invest in the stock market even though it was facing historic lows and was slow in taking action to strengthen Canada s economy. Furthermore, many of the initiatives the government did plan on conducting were only short term investments and had not required funding past the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Elements Of Style By William Strunk Jr. William Strunk Jr., an English professor at Cornell University in 1919 required his students to have the textbook The Elements of Style, written by William Strunk Jr. himself. It was referred to as the little book and was a forty three page summary of the case for cleanliness, accuracy and brevity in the use of English (Strunk White, 2000). These rules are in the form of sharp commands, shining light on Sergeant Strunk s personality and approach to teaching. E.B. White, a former student of Strunk, revised the book he was given, years after his professor passed away. White does not soften the direct orders of the original book, but preserves the flavor of his discontent while enlarging the scope of the discussion (Strunk White, 2000 xiv). The Elements of Style provides the readers with a convenient reference for grammar, while emphasizing the importance of omitting needless words, using concrete language and active voice all in a suitable design. When he delivered his oration on brevity to the class, he leaned forward over his desk, grasped his coast lapels in his hands, and, in a husky, conspiratorial voice, said, Rule Seventeen. Omit needless words! Omit needless words! Omit needless words! (Strunk White, 2000, xv). Strunk provides an image for the most important aspect of his book. The repetition of this rule throughout the entire book, proves not only the importance of it to Professor Strunk, but to writing as a whole. The author s advocate trimming ... • 5. Dian Diana Der-Hovanessian s Essay Two Voices The Armenian Genocide left the Armenians in ruin. Apart for the human and material loss, the sociocultural loss was most significant. The Armenians were robbed of their centuries old, rich culture within in a space of a year. Their society was forced into diaspora in order to survive. This movement encouraged integration into other countries and resulted in partial loss of the suffering Armenian culture. Those Armenians who survived the genocide of 1915 were forced to exile their Homeland in the Ottoman Empire in order to survive. Behind them they left their culture; castles, towns, villages, churches, thousands of manuscripts and cultural secrets and data were destroyed. This effectively stripped the Armenians of their rich heritage left from ancestors. Within years, an entire culture, it s people and its all histories were virtually erased. Today, Armenians are dispersed throughout the Middle East and the United States, with only about 1 million of the estimated 9 million actually living in Armenia. This diaspora of the Armenians, living scattered across the world, has created a struggle to hold on to their Armenian identity. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Der Hovanessian is herself an Armenian American writer born in the United States. Her grandparents took refuge in the United States following the genocide in Ottoman Armenia. The poem reveals the struggle of an assimilated Armenian American and the influence of her family s history on her identity. Diana Der Hovanessian is influenced by the loss of culture, little heritage bar the genocide itself and a surrounding Armenian society. • 7. Analysis Of Grendel And The Epic Of Beowulf Merriam Webster defines a hero as a person who is admired for great or brave acts and defines a villain as a character who does bad things. These definitions may not be so indubitable as John Gardner takes a hero and villain to a whole new level in his novel, Grendel. Throughout the years of novels and short stories, heroes and villains have been constructed as strictly good versus evil, but what if there is good in evil and evil in good? Grendel and the epic, Beowulf, revolve around this idea of heroes and villains and good versus evil. Gardner s twist on the stereotypical hero leads to the true definition of a hero being changed as he creates one who has a nihilistic view on his atypical life. A hero in the eyes of the Anglo Saxons has superman strength, undertakes a great quest which relates to society s values, battles a great monster, and is required to pay homage to a god. Beowulf makes it black and white on whom the hero and villain are; Beowulf being the wonderful hero who kills the inimical villain, Grendel. Gardner s novel, Grendel, has a skewed view on who the hero and villain Gardner uses the villain from Beowulf and creates a novel around him and his viewpoints on his world. However Grendel fits almost perfectly into the characteristics of a hero, according to the Anglo Saxons. He posses super strength which is demonstrated through the altercations he has with man. In fact, man is Grendel s evil or villain. Chapter one includes examples to prove Grendel s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Ethics Of Eating Meat Since the time of caveman to the modern day society, humans have always eaten meat as a part of daily life, As far back as it can be traced...Our ancestry is among the hunter/gatherers from the beginning. Once domestication of food sources began, it included both animals and plants (McArdle). Although these modern times that we live in have created new substances and ways to replace the natural way to eat meat, people will always have reason to go back to the original way to get the basic nutrition of meat. Human beings should support the basic idea that eating meat is ethical because human bodies were created to be omnivore, people have evolved to manipulate animals in an intelligent manner, and there are several alternative and ethical ways of eating meat. The traits that the human body consist of are meant for more natural foods to be ingested, which are both both meats and vegetables, making humans omnivores. The teeth and digestive tract that individuals were provided with are meant to break down animal and plant based foods to provide nutrients to the rest of the body to keep it running (McArdle). People were meant to eat meat in the first place, it cannot be considered unethical, because it is a part of the natural way of life. • 10. Vladimir Lenin And The Soviet Revolution Vladimir Lenin has proven to be a difficult figure to place in history. Some choose to view him as one of the most influential political leaders in history, while others allow him to fade off into the past. Lenin s image also greatly depends on where one lives. In the western half of the world, Lenin is viewed as a man of destruction, and Winston Churchill called him The Grand Repudiator. In other parts of the world, he is viewed as a man who tried to make the best out of a failing situation. Lenin was a revolutionary intellectual who establish the Bolshevik Party (later renamed the Communist Party). He was the leader of the Bolshevik Revolution, and, therefore, began the first government of the Soviet Union. Lenin became leader of the USSR in 1922 and ruled until his death in 1924, when Joseph Stalin assumed power. Though many argue that Lenin started one of the worst governments in history, Russian Communism, Lenin actually provided a solution for the troubling times in Russia. In the 1890, Lenin quit his job as a lawyer and moved to St. Petersburg where he became involved with a group of radicals that supported the ideas of Karl Marx. In 1903 at the Second Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (RSDLP), Lenin and his fellow radicals argued for the development of a new political party that was tight knit and limited in number. Night in William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream One of the recurring themes throughout Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream is the time of day during which the play s major action takes place: night. This being the case, there are certain words that are directly linked to this theme that appear numerous times throughout the script. Four such words are moon, moonlight, moonshine, and lunatic. Each comes from a feminine root that serves to identify the women in the play as prizes to be won and controlled. It becomes clear when looking up the term moon in the Oxford English Dictionary that the word is associated with the feminine. Theseus looks to the moon to measure how soon he will wed his fiancé, Hippolyta. Hippolyta responds in kind, commenting, And then the moon, like to a silver bow / New bent in heaven, shall behold the night / Of our solemnities (1.1.7, 14). Not only does the bride speak of the moon as a measurement (for when it becomes a silver bow, or crescent, they wed), but she also speaks of the night when the moon wanes as a time of festive marriage ceremonies. It is important to take into account the character of Hippolyta in this instance. Having Theseus wed Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, takes away Hippolyta s power as a strong female. She, too, is counting the nights by the waning of the moon until she is legitimately wed and under the control of a husband. The lesser characters, below royalty in the social order, take part in illicit happenings veiled by night, as the moon oversees the activities of May Day/Midsummer s Eve. The moon is considered a passive overseer or witness to (the actions of humankind) (Brown 1645). In the forest of Oberon and Titania, the moon is truly an observer. Within a monologue by Titania, the fairy queen announces, Therefore the moon, the governess of floods, / Pale in her anger, washes all the air, / That rheumatic diseases do abound (2.1.102, 29). Here the testers require knowledge of how the software is implemented, how it works.  During structural testing the tester is concentrating on how the software does it. For example, a structural technique wants to know how loops in the software are working. Different test cases may be derived to exercise the loop once, twice, and many times. This may be done regardless of the functionality of the software.  Structural testing can be used at all levels of testing. Developers use structural testing in component testing and component integration testing, especially where there is good tool support for code coverage. Throughout history, George Washington and James Monroe generated many different foreign policies that helped flourish America across the world. During George Washington s presidency, the country had a hard time trying to gain economic power. The country was going through a tough time trying to gain money, because the idea of trading was just not working out. Under James Monroe s presidency, he created the Monroe Doctrine, which allowed the United States to warn the Western Hemisphere that the U.S. would not allow for the countries in Europe to expand colonization. I will explain the presidents in between these two presidents, while also including them. The United States was trying to expand its trading options during the late 1770s on into the 1780s with European nations. The U.S. had trouble with this because the country was already going failing economically. The idea was to try to avoid conflict with any nation if possible. The view of isolationism comes from the idea of trying to have interference with the European nations, but also trying to avoid conflict. As a result, the center of the muscle is shortened, balled up, and pulled away from connective tissue which connects/holds muscles to the joints. This is called muscle hypertrophy. Science has shown that it can have an adverse effect on athletic movement. This puts more stress on the ligaments and tendons and causes muscular imbalances. Compare the way a human body is made to a trampoline. A trampoline has a webbing or net in the middle which we jump on. Over the past decade much has been discovered about these enigmas of space and time; however, many of these recent discoveries lead to more unanswered questions. Nevertheless, the basic life cycle of a black hole is now understood in ways thought to be impossible only twenty years ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On the other end of the spectrum, the death of a super massive star is one of the most brilliant displays of pure power in the universe which includes an amazing light show which has no equal. A super massive star is exactly what it sounds like, a star so big that it dwarfs our own star in every way. When a super massive sun begins to run out of out of hydrogen it begins to collapse, but due to its immense gravity and size, the collapse produces such an abrupt implosion that the last remnants of nuclear fusion remaining push all the mass of the star back out into space (Britt, 2007). This can be compared to someone jumping onto a trampoline whose elastic has enough elasticity to force one back into the air. This occurrence is known as a supernova explosion, which is the largest explosion in the known universe. A supernova explosion can even be seen from other galaxies, as scientists have done witnessed from observations using the Hubble telescope. The star is so big, however, that it only blows its outer atmosphere away, still leaving a massive amount of matter that is doomed to collapse again, and this time it will be a one way ticket to oblivion. The super massive star finally collapses and its own incredible mass crushes it s internally and now turns it into a neutron star. An average neutron star is about ten miles in diameter, or the size of Manhattan. Although this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. The Problem Of Induction, Inductive Reasoning, And Weather The problem of induction, inductive reasoning, and weather or not nature is uniform, are questions that have been raised by many a great philosopher. Induction, and Inductive reasoning is when you make observations of past events and occurrences and base your knowledge on those observations. From these observations you make generalizations, the problem with inductive reasoning and the problem with induction is that, your observations generalize and assume, sometimes too much, sometimes on a very limited number of observations which is not necessarily enough to assume that you are in fact right in knowing about a certain thing. Imagine all the swans you had ever seen or heard about were white, and you had never seen or heard of a black swan before. You would then assume and think that there were only such a thing as white swans, and rightly so, but does this mean there is no such thing as a black swan? No, it just means there has not ever been a black swan that you have seen or heard of, but because of inductive reasoning, and your own observations you could make a false claim. The claim that there are only white swans. Inductive reasoning also assumes that because a sequence of events has happened in the past they will again in the future, this is called the uniformity of nature, The sun is an example of this, it rises every day and sets every night, and it has done so since the beginning of time. Therefore, due to the sun rising and setting in the past, due to inductive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Eventually, there were three main categories to the European colonies. They were each unique, although one certain class stood in stark contrast to the other two. This group, the Middle colonies, was a halfway point between the New England and Southern colonies and not just geographically. The Middle colonies extracted parts of its neighbors, like farming habits and spiritual sects, but the middle group managed to retain its own flavor. A significant factor of any civilization, be it vast as the Roman Empire or pitifully miniscule, is spirituality. Religion was (and even remains to be) a big part of North America. New England was strictly Puritan. English Puritans sought out haven in the New World, far away from persecution in the mother country. The Southern colonies consisted mostly of Anglicans, though some may speculate that the Southerners were more concerned with worshipping wealth. The Middle colonies were quite different in that there was no single dominant religion. Pennsylvania, which contained the largest city in all the thirteen colonies, was well known for its many Quaker residents. However, there was also a fair share of Jews, Catholics, and other faiths, as well as the standard Puritans and Anglicans. Overall, the most defining factor of the Middle colonies was its ethnic diversity. The backgrounds of its inhabitants included (but was not limited to) German, Dutch, Scotch Irish, English, French, Welsh, Swedish, Polish, and Finnish. New England could not compete, for its population was almost entirely English, save for the scattered Dutch remnants of New Amsterdam and the Native Americans, of course. The South was biracial, which meant that one was black, white, or an exceedingly rare mixture of the two. The Middle colonies had slaves, though its percentage of slaves in the population was between those of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They fired people, they made sure their children couldn t get on the desired universities; they blackmailed, tortured and killed people through staged trials. For the majority of society it was simpler to act as if they were okay with the regime. In this day and age human rights are secured through countless declarations, laws and treaties. International organizations oversee observance and countries that breach these contracts have to face sanctions and they have to answer to the International Court of Justice. There are also major differences in the everyday life of normal people back then and now. During the reign of Communists it was forbidden to travel out of Czechoslovakia. Only those, who had special permission, could travel abroad and even then, most of these people were monitored by the secret service. Communism is strictly against capitalism hence the Communists tried to convince the public that the capitalistic countries were bad and that economically and socially communistic countries were better off than most of the western capitalistic world. Thus they couldn t let people travel abroad, because it would be clear right away that they were knowingly deceiving them. People had also a hard time when they went to shop. Consequently, the money saved can be used for development thus improve the living of the country. Secondly, community service is healthier than imprisonment. This is because, community service offer help to the offenders to rehabilitate themselves more effectively than in prison. This is mainly because; by community service the offenders are able to give something back to the community as prove that they have change. By doing so, the offenders will have small risk of reoffending neither in the number of crimes nor the seriousness of the crimes. A cult is a group of people that are bound together by an appreciation of the same thing, person, ideal, etc. Usually these groups keep close because of religious reasons, but their beliefs are almost always considered strange by outsiders. Cults are similar to clans or congregations, but are usually referred to as sects. There are many different categories that a cult could be sorted into. Apocalyptic, Utopian, Spiritualistic, Satanic, and Witchcraft/Voodoo cults are just some of the more basic types. Utopian Cults created exclusive, self supporting communities that were completely isolated from the sinful world. In all of these cults, success of the community was most important and individual wants came second. The leader of the clan would assign jobs to his/her followers and they had to work. Assignments were usually tasks such as farming, because the cult s community was isolated from the rest of the world and needed to feed themselves. All recorded Utopian cults have failed within 20 years of effort proving that none of them were up to the enormous challenge of perfection. The most famous Utopian cult of all time was led by Jim Jones and it was called the People s Temple. At the age of 22, Jim Jones opened his first church, the People s Temple in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jones taught his followers to treat all races equally which was not popular in the early fifties. To show their disapproval, many people would knock him off of his bike and some even threw dead cats into his church, but Jones kept preaching. They also determined that those running the campaigns were most likely to target those who had resources, or were affiliated with parties, and had strong social networks. The findings indicated that the increasing of direct mailings by 10 percentage points did increase the Attorney General s vote share by 1.5 percentage points. Sailor Moon is on top of the list when it comes to girl power, being released in 1992, and Sailor Moon Crystal was released in 2014. Sailor moon was seen by some critics as sexualized, but others argue that it isn t as bad as some of the other animes that were released after Sailor Moon. Girl superheroes in anime were a mix of being sexy and cute, and the sexy in Sailor Moon was just a bunch of short skirts, high heels, and a small amount of cleavage. Sailor Moon challenged the norms in Japan when it came to gender roles, sexual orientation and presentation of womanhood. At an early age, girls were pushed to follow gender roles especially when it was in the early 1990s. It was something different to see on the television screens girls fighting and challenging gender roles.
