9. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the
learners are expected to:
1. Explain the meaning of Bootable USB;
2. Appreciate the importance of Bootable USB’s
usability;
3. Create a Bootable USB.

10. What is a Bootable USB?
• A bootable USB is used to install a new operating
system.
• USB boot is the process of using a USB storage
device to boot or start a computer's operating
system rather than the standard/native hard disk
or the CD drive.
• To boot (as a verb; also "to boot up")
a computer is to load an operating system into
the computer's main memory.

11. Materials needed:
• USB Flashdisk (8GB capacity or
above)
• Clean / virus-free computer unit
• ISO file of the operating system
• Rufus software

• All groups will be given meta cards
(with the steps in creating a bootable
USB printed on it).
• Arrange it according to the CORRECT
way of creating a bootable USB.
• Do this activity as fast as you can

• The group with least correct answer (or
the loser) will choose 1 member from
their group to perform the actual
creation of bootable USB.
• If all the group got the correct answer,
the group who finished first will be
declared the winner.

• To access the BIOS configuration,
restart your computer.
• Upon the start-up, continuously
press DEL, F2 or F10 (depends
on the model of the motherboard
of computer)
