1). Clearly, we have a broad mission with ever growing capacity to provide healthcare to our
patients. A key insight about the financial health of UHS is that we are performing extremely well.
According to our latest financial statement, we are ever improving our numbers. Our net revenues
continually increased from $4,900,147 in 2010, to $8,065,326 in 2014. Furthermore, our total
assets grew during this same timeframe from $7,527,936 to $8,974,443, resulting in an impressive

Working Rights In The Late 1800s And Early 1900s
The working conditions and working rights in the late 1800s and early 1900s were lacking and
required some help to make more humane. Before any of the laws that helped reform our nation,
working in mines or factories was dangerous and not worth the effort. Secondly, the hours were
unethical, as workers sometimes had to toil away for 12 hours, seven days a week with a one
day break every two weeks. Workers who were fighting for their rights were not alone, as there
were some people who also believed morality was more important at the moment. The changes
made were for the better and made the world of hard labor a better place. Thankfully, these rules
were not ever taken away and people now live to know that they will earn the money and rights that
they deserve.
A miner from the 1800s had to work hard for little bits of money. One specific miner went to a
school with his three brothers, although it was not a good school since schools back then were
not the best, until he was twelve, when he went to pick slate. There were five kids that worked
there, one of which was crushed by 50 tons of rock one week before he was to get married. There
were many risks in mining, like falling rock, miner s asthma, powder, smoke, poisonous gases, and
bad air. Miners were living unfair lives and that was fixed well (Doc 1). In 1902, Theodore

Native American culture was a great influence on newly introduced western art when settlers first
came to North America. Not only did Native Americans have their own style of art, sculpture,

In this essay I will be talking about how effective technology was in British land campaigns
during the First World War and the Second World War. The first source we are presented with is
source E. It is an interpretation of the effectiveness of British generals during the First World
War, written by Gary Sheffield in 2001. It s purpose is to show consensus of the interpretations of
the generals in the First World War, and to also show his personal interpretation. He is doing this
since he is a revisionist. Source E supports the statement because Sheffield uses the word Donkeys
to describe the ineffectiveness of the generals during the First World War and to show that the

However, there are also some limitations to this source. For example, it misses out a lot of other
technology which was used is the First World War, since this is only an extract we can not see
all. Another limitation is that the extract is from a book, this means the author (Sheffield) may
have deliberately controversial in order for people to interested in is book and ultimately get
more sales. Overall, this source gives us a bit of information, which both support and dispute the
statement. The first part talks about the mistakes made during the First World War, however the
second part talks about how weapons were used successfully, this shows that the source is
objective. Source F is a primary source of a painting, which was created in WW1 by John Sargent.
Sargent was paid by the British government to document the war, so it could be shown to future
generations what happened during the First World War. Its purpose it so make the viewer question
the morality of using gas and the possible affect it could have on thousands of men. The source
supports the statement, by showing the sun setting in the background it symbolises the sacrifice of
the wasted life of the men. The source also shows a group of soldiers playing football in the
background, this shows us that gas attacks were a frequent thing during the First World War, this
shows us that technology was not me to prevent gas attack, overall, supporting the statement.

On the way, he picked up two books with settings based in japan. He gave me my first copy of
Memoirs of a Geisha. As I read the story, I was very confused with some of the words used and
concepts, which intrigued me since that had never happened to me before. I did not know
