Paula Deen s Argument Analysis
For quite some time, I have felt horrified not by the various off the cuff utterances of some people, but
by the global reaction to their off hand comments. Of no better example could I site as a commercial
and societal over reaction to an offhand statement is what we witnessed to Paula Deen s comment
from
30 years ago! Because Mrs. Deen is Southern, she jokingly referred to members of a race of people as
the blasphemous N word. That or something like it that she shared among friends in her home
amounted to a blanket hostile attack on a third of society. Something so outrageous in today s climate,
that her career was destroyed. So magnified were her personal statements as generally hateful seemed
likened to her personal order to deploy

The Ethical Obligation Of Witness
There is something fundamental about our humanity that is irrevocably lost when these individuals
perish unheard and these stories fade away unheeded. This tragic alternative disrespects all that is
sacrificed when individuals bear witness to war, and it overlooks all that can be gained when we bear
witness to their stories. The Ethical Obligation to Witness Ideas from the French philosopher
Emmanuel Levinas provide an ethical account of human interaction that is instrumental in elucidating
the importance of bearing witness. In a text, entitled Totality and Infinity: An Essay on Exteriority ,
written in 1961, he asserts that individuals have an ethical obligation when interacting with one
another. Levinas especially emphasizes the power ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only are nurses responsible for the physical health of their patients, but they are burdened with an
unwritten an obligation to bettering the emotional health of their patients. This is an incredible and
oftentimes overwhelming role that they are asked to play. It is suggested that there is a moral necessity
for a creation of space, and education to allow nurses to carry out this moral duty of bearing witness to
suffering, disorder, disease, grief, joy, fear and vulnerability with others (Naef, 2006). Bearing Witness
to Lived Trauma: When an individual has lived through a trauma, it is obvious that there is no way to
alter the traumatic actions of the past, however, there is a possibility of mitigating the mental burden
that the past plays in the everyday life of the victim. Listening to the story of another allows listeners
to better understand, and therefore better serve the needs of the victims. In addition, speaking their
story out loud can allow victims to bring forth an experience that has been haunting them in a way that
mitigate s the amplification of emotion that can happen when a story is confined to the space of one s
own mind. As the story transitions from taking sole residence in the memory of an individual to being
shared with others, the survivor is sometime alleviated from a portion of the anxiety resulting from the
trauma, even if only in a small way. There is a cultural desire to fit within the narrative of valid work

A Health Indicator Of Nepal Essay
PUBLC HEALTH INDICATOR
SNAP OF NEPAL
Nepal is a relatively small (population around 26.5 million) land locked country, bordered by the two
biggest countries in the world, India and China. Its renowned physical beauty makes it very
fragmented and many parts are inaccessible by modern transport and communication facilities. There
are few cities and 86% of the population lives in rural areas. The country is divided into 5
development regions, 14 zones and 75 districts. Despite its richness in biodiversity, natural resources
and cultural multiplicity, Nepal has still remained a developing country where more than 24 percent of
the people live under the poverty line. The impact of the poverty is manifest in all other sectors like
health and hygiene, education, disaster and conflict preparedness, access to and distribution of
resources, gender equity, as well as respect for humanitarian values. The transitional period of
developmental change in the legal, political, financial and diplomatic scenario indicate that the
country needs more efforts in the fields of social reformation, rehabilitation and development.

Mercutio Weaknesses
An anonymous source once said that everything comes at a price. Everybody has strengths and
weaknesses. Make use of your strengths and eliminate your weaknesses so they do not bother you.
The characters in the play of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare use their strengths to their
advantage but also cause trouble with their weaknesses. Throughout the play, Shakespeare indirectly
characterizes Romeo, Juliet, and Mercutio through their actions. Therefore, Shakespeare creates
multidimensional characters that have both strengths and weaknesses.
One of the most important characters, Romeo, has many strengths and weaknesses. One of his
weaknesses is his impulsiveness, while one of his strengths is being romantic. One example that

For example, in act three, Tybalt shows his aggression when he kills Romeo s best friend, Mercutio.
Romeo tries to break up the fight. Tybalt reaches under Romeo s arm and stabs Mercutio (Shakespeare
3.5.FINISH). Tybalt was upset that Romeo was at the Capulet s party and wanted to get revenge on
Romeo but Mercutio got in the way. Because Tybalt is aggressive and could not forget about Romeo s
appearance at the Capulet s party, he strives for a fight and kills Mercutio. Although Mercutio is
aggressive, he is also loyal. Tybalt s loyalty is an example of indirect characterization because it is not
directly stated. Tybalt is loyal beyond words and honors the family rivalry of the Capulets and the
Montagues. For example, in act one, Romeo comes to the Capulet s party and Tybalt is upset about his
arrival. Tybalt believes that Romeo arrived to mock their party. Uncle, this is a Montague, our foe,/ A
villain that is hither come in spite/ To scorn at our solemnity this night (Shakespeare 1.5.FINISH).
Shakespeare characterizes Tybalt as loyal because Tybalt does not want Romeo anywhere near the
Capulet house due to Romeo being a

Job Design Is Important For Fair Reward
Job redesign means reform the fundamentals including Tasks, duties and responsibilities of a specific
job in order to make it more encouraging and inspiring for the employees or workers. The procedure
consist of analysing, reforming, and reshuffling, revising the job allied content and magnitudes to
increase the variability of tasks and functions to motivate employees and make them feel as a
significant asset of the organisation. The main motive of conducting job redesigning is to place the
right person at the right job and get the maximum output though increasing their level of satisfaction.

In an organisational development the term sociotechnical system describes an approach to complex
organisational work design, the term also refers to the interaction amongst people and technology in
workplaces. Socio technical systems designs methods are an approach to design that human, social
and organisational factors as well as technical factors in design of organisational systems. They have
proposed to ensure that the technical and organisational aspects of a system are considered together.
When a company applying this method then they can understand better how human, social and
organisational factor affect the way that work is done and technical system is used. This can help to
contribute to the design of organisational structures, business processes and technical systems. Many
managers realise that socio technical issues and their design methods are important and useful.
Socio technical systems design has been demonstrated in an inclusive range of different methods.
Different traditions developed in different countries at different times have managed by different

Pakistan Is A Complex Country
Pakistan is a complex country, both because of harsh physical terrain and because of a historical
unpredictable government. Pakistan is constantly in the news, and a topic of discussion in The United
States. Many of the fighters the American forces are fighting in Afghanistan come from Pakistan, or at
least find a safe haven in the mountains of western Pakistan. In addition, Pakistan is a nuclear armed
country that has a shaky government at best. I find it fascinating that a country that has a government
with such a sporadic history filled with attempts to overthrow it and coups maintain a nuclear arsenal.
How was this possible? I know that the United States and its allies put much effort into keeping
countries such as Iran and North Korea from attaining nuclear weapons. What was going on during the
development of Pakistan s nuclear program? While Pakistan is an ally of the United States, in the
region that Pakistan is located that could change quickly. In addition, I feel that you must prove that
you are a stable country and society before you are permitted to possess such powerful weapons.
Pakistan provides a very interesting topic of discussion that some people may not be aware. The two
reasons listed above are the main reason I chose to write about Pakistan, knowing little else about the
country, but through my research, I found that there is more to Pakistan than just those two areas,
beginning with how the country initially formed. Pakistan formed on

The Stranger Response
The Stranger The Eye is the window to ones soul. The significance of the eye is that it can display
emotions without spoken words. Humans cannot control the inner actions of their eyes because the
eyes are apart of the body that moves unintentionally. I chose to draw an abstract art of the eye to help
the reader visualize and understand Meursault s emotions throughout the story. I also chose to use
abstract art because it was an art movement that became popular in the 1940s. During this time period,
abstract art consisted of multiple different colors and it stood as a method of expression for those who
wanted to display their feelings. I also incorporated the usage of numerous lines in my art to represent
the main character emotions. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The puzzles in the back represent the visual analysis that the author wants the readers to develop about
Meursault s life. My reasoning behind this is because his life was portrayed as a puzzle and it was
hard to understand why he did the things he did and why he acted the way he did. There were specific
colors used to represent life and death. The dark lines indicate fear and his nonchalant attitude towards
life. I used the color black because it signifies death which was coming Meursault s way towards the
ending of the novel. The green signifies life that was what he came to value after sometime
particularly after he was done talking to the chairman. The color yellow represents happiness which
was what Meursault felt when he was with Marie and when he went to the beach. The color red
represents blood which was there once he had randomly killed one of the Arabs which lead to him
having to go to jail. Orange and blue were utilized to represent the sky and the sun that throughout the
story we see Meursault talked about often. Overall, the book cover image was created to exhibit and
incorporate all the small details of Meursault s life as described throughout the book for the reader to
be able to visualize and

Dover Beach Tone
Dover Beach is a poem that was written by Matthew Arnold which describes a speaker s view on faith
slowly fading from the world in which he lives. The primary purpose of this poem is to use imagery to
paint a picture of the dying religious presence in the world that the speaker finds himself in. This is the
central message that Matthew Arnold is trying to get across to his audience. An excellent example of
how Arnold translates this to the reader is how the tone of the first eight lines and the tone of the final
three lines of the poem differ from each other. The first eight lines of Dover Beach sets the initial tone
for the beginning of the poem. They are used to paint a picture within the reader s head and to present
a specific tone in the beginning. The speaker gives the reader a ... Show more content on

He uses the term, The Sea of Faith , as a metaphor to describe the ocean of religious influence that the
world once had. (Arnold 21). He eventually ends the poem with three lines that possess a completely
opposite tone that the initially eight lines did. Instead of being in a calm, tranquil place, the reader is
told, And we are here as on a darkling plain (Arnold 35). The speaker has taken us from a tone of
tranquility and joyfulness to instead one of hopelessness and gloom. The final two lines depict death
and blind violence, Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight / Where ignorant armies clash
by night (Arnold 36,37). The speaker specifically describes the armies as clashing by night , in order
to suggest that with the blackness of night the fighters are most likely not only killing their enemies
but also their allies. The speaker has seen the world s dying religious faith and has come to accept that
times are changing and that means that chaos is coming. This change of thought is the primary
purpose for the dramatic change on tone that we witness within these

Project Objectives Of Femtosecond Light Fields
Project objective and Excepted Significance:
This work aims to demonstrate petahertz optical field induced current signal control in electronic
nanocircuit utilizing synthesized femtosecond light fields. That promises an increase in the speed of
data processing and information encoding on rates that exceed 1 Pbit/sec, million times faster than the
current technology. It will likely extend the frontiers of modern electronics and information processing
technologies into the PHz realm. This work will have a broad impact on the advancements of
nanophotonics technologies, most notably in fiber based telecommunications networks and the
photonic computing field and opening a new realm of information technology.
Basic principle: In this work, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Experimental approach:
Light field synthesis. The PI is very capable to lead this project to the ultimate success. He engineered
and developed the unique LFS device (Fig. 1). Also, he demonstrated a full control of synthesizing
light field waveforms from the LFS with attosecond (10 18s) temporal resolution on demand in
(Nature 530, 66 70, (2016). The basic idea of the LFS apparatus (Fig. 1) is based on dividing a
supercontinuum laser light ( 2 octaves) into four different laser spectral channels. The laser pulse of
each channel is compressed to their Fourier limit (shortest duration) before all the pulses coherently
superimpose at the exit of the apparatus and forming one laser broadband short (2 fs) pulse. The
tailoring of the waveform at the exit is possible by controlling the relative phases and intensities of the
four spectral channels inside the synthesizer. This tailoring process is automatized to obtain the
desired waveform of the output electric field by a programming code developed by the PI1,2. This
unique device is

Fear Of Death In On The Trial And Death Of Socrates
We are born and then we die, since no human is immortal, we must all endure this cycle of life. Since
each human must endure the dying process, it is common that as humans we have and share mutual
feelings and thoughts toward the experience of dying, such as a fear of death. In a poll of the top one
hundred phobias in America, Thanatophobia or the fear of death ranked number twelve, signifying that
the experience of death is considered by many to be a very frightening thing ( Top 100 Phobia List. ).
Numerous people may fear death; however, various philosophers have challenged this notion.

The thoughts and ideology of Saint Augustine help to alleviate the unknowingness of death, which in
turn alleviates one s fear of death. In The Death of a Friend and the life of the Soul, Augustine speaks
about death and the afterlife from a religious standpoint in order to alleviate the unknowingness of
death. Augustine tells of how it is through the power of God that one is created through birth,
therefore since we are created from God we will return to God through death (Ciraulo, p. 111 123).
Since God is the greatest good, by returning to God it signifies that death is also the greatest good.
This is an important concept because it relates back to Socrates ideology in which he challenged that
death cannot be feared because there is a chance that death is the greatest good. Through religion
Augustine validates that death is the greatest good, therefore validating the point that death cannot
feared, since one cannot fear something that is

MCI is at a critical point in their company history. After going public in 1972 they experienced several
years of operating losses. Then in 1974 the FCC ordered MCI s largest competitor AT T to supply
interconnection to MCI and the rest of the long distance market. With a more even playing field the
opportunities to increase market share and revenue were significant. In order to maximize this
opportunity MCI required capital. Their poor financial performance required them to use less
traditional instruments to obtain financing. The capital acquired supported their growth until they

their forecast for 1978 earnings was in excess of $5,000,000. Debt ratios, dept to equity and return on
equity ratios would all remain within an acceptable range after the issue. (see exhibit H). In addition
the court had lifted a restriction on the Execunet service provided by MCI which was their fastest
growing business and would make significant contributions to revenue and profitability in the years to

Nine months later in September of 1979 MCI raised the largest amount of financing in the company s

The Controversy Of Aliens
The topic of aliens is often a very controversial one to talk about. The aliens in THE FOURTH KIND
represent many fears that we have has as humans such as the fear of feeling inferior. That is why many
people don t like to acknowledge that there could possibly be other intellectual species outside of
earth, due to the fear of them feeling inferior to a more advanced life form. If aliens are anything like
the human species then we should all be afraid, due to the fact that the human race killed most of the
animal species and even kidnapped and enslaved other humans. If extraterrestrials ever came to our
planet, their technology and intellect would be far more advanced than ours and that could possibly
hurt humanity because they could have the power and technology to enslave us. They also represent
how people would be willing to do wicked things like using science and technology for malevolent
purposes. The aliens abuse of power in the film reflect how humans could possibly turn out if we
obtained their technology. Humans could learn to one day build rockets and spacecraft s that can travel
to other planets and their main goal would be to use these technologies to benefit ourselves. If we had
the power to overtake another planet and inhabit it, we would not hesitate to do so and we are willing
to do the unthinkable for power and advancement. Aliens also represent the fear of there being no god
or religion because most religious people oppose science and credit god for

Intel s Training For Engineering And English As A Second...
Additionally, Intel was not satisfied with just bringing jobs and tax revenue to Costa Rica. The
company went a step further and developed the education system in a myriad of ways. This was also
advantageous for Intel s interests. Initially, Intel was concerned that Costa Rica did not have enough
skilled professionals to work in its new assembly and testing facility. In order for the plant to be fully
operational Intel would need to employ 1500 Costa Rican technicians (Cabrera Unruh, 2012). Intel
received authorization from the Costa Rican government to partner with two of the country s largest
universities, the Technical Institute of Costa Rica and the University of Costa Rica. Intel first trained
professors at these institutions to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once again, this was a success! In 2002, Intel embarked on the third phase which entailed establishing
even more highly complex programs and positions in Costa Rica. Hitherto, Intel only had these
complex programs and positions in other regions. The goal was to expand the manufacturing,
research, and development operations to Costa Rica. Intel collaborated with the universities again and
now built highly specialized laboratories and even created research study abroad programs for Costa
Rican PhD candidates (Cabrera Unruh, 2012). Interestingly, in 2004 only 10% of Costa Ricans who
graduated from the programs worked for Intel afterwards (Cabrera Unruh, 2012). Many of the
remaining graduates worked for other companies in the sector, some companies which were Intel
suppliers. However, this is still very smart business. In economics, education is considered a positive
externality as many of you hear today know. An educated work force is conducive to economic
development. In this case the development manifested itself in various forms. Intel s profitability and
globalization, the expansion of Costa Rican technology exports, and foreign direct investment in the
nation s economy. More importantly, this is global citizenship.

Boeing 787 Supply Chain Process Essay
NAME : GAUTAM RAJA SOUNDAR
DATE : 09/27/2014
TITLE : BOEING 787 DREAMLINER
CRITICAL FACTS:
Boeing is the world s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners
and defense and space . Boeing has been a top manufacture of commercial aircraft s, it employees
around 169,000 employees in the United States. (Anonymous, 2014).
Boeing decided to change the rules of the way large passenger aircraft were developed through its
Dreamliner program; rather than simply relying on technological know how, it decided to use
collaboration as a competitive tool embedded into a new global supply chain process. (Pearlson
Saunders, 2013, p 166).
It s complicated, unique design, promise of 20% increase ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many aspects that caused this delay but one of main reason was that the supply chain of the
Boeing 787 Dreamliner was not properly integrated and coordinated. The virtual model of the Boeing
787 Dreamliner was not up to the mark and it actually failed due to the use of composite materials,
this was also the reason that the project was delayed. This was the first time that Boeing had
outsourced both the manufacturing and design of the 787 to other companies where as for the other
planes Boeing had only outsourced the manufacturing and had kept the design under its own control.
(Cohan 2011).
Boeing contracted with over 50 suppliers after their decision to outsource 60% of its design and
production. This decision was to reduce the cost, this was a very good decision in terms of reducing
cost but Boeing should have given a thought about the risks of outsourcing, which in the end hit them
real hard. The supply chain of Boeing was designed in such a way that Boeing functions as the final
assembler and the integrator. The supply chain was so extensive that parts of the 787 were being
moved globally before they reached the final assembly unit. The 787 s wings were going from Japan
to Washington, fuselage sections 43 from Japan to South Carolina and then to Washington. There was
a lack of communication and coordination between the design engineers and the

Racial Stereotypes Of Deaf And Deaf
Cultural stereotypes used to consider deafness to be a great misfortune, but being deaf does not limit
the abilities of a person. Members of the Deaf community consider deafness to be normal rather than a
disability. A deaf people can do anything a hearing person can do, such as, drive, participate in group
activities, communicate, and have normal lives. Deaf In the film Through Deaf Eyes , an HDTV
documentary including interviews, personal stories, and historic accounts, the prejudice and
affirmation of Deaf culture is revealed to show hearing people the reality of deaf life. Through this
film, I have learned about education for deaf people, the Deaf President Now Movement, and about
cochlear implants. The Fist thing I learned from watching Through Deaf Eyes is the differences
between deaf speaking schools and deaf ASL schools. Deaf speaking schools teach deaf people to
communicate using speech through speech therapy. Speaking schools are good because they enables a
deaf person to learn speech to talk with a hearing person. The problem with speaking schools is that
they are not always effective and ban the use of ASL. Speech therapy creates a one way method of
communication between a deaf person and a hearing person. With speech a deaf person is able to
speak with a hearing person, but they are still not able to hear the person they are talking to. Unlike
speaking schools, ASL schools teach their students to communicate with sign language. ASL is a
language that uses

Comparing One Flew Over The Cookoo s Nest And The Movie
In the 1950 s, clashes between communism and capitalism have dominated the decade. Although it
wasn t always easy, the United States experienced an important economic and home construction
growth. The fifty s weren t always easy but it made place to a lot of improvement in the US
government and in the society. In this text I will talk to you about the similarities and differences
between the novel One Flew Over the Cookoo s Nest and the movie. First of all, the story took place
in hospital in Oregon in the late fifty s and early sixty s. The World War II is still present in the
community s head. The hospital is a world of regulations, routine, and discipline in which Nurse
Ratched has a full control. Nurse Ratched also does all what she can to keep the outside world away
from the patients. Chief Bromden, the narrator, has been a patient in the Oregon psychiatric hospital
for ten years. Bromden suffers from paranoia and it is very easy to understand all along the story. In
the hospital, all the patient are men and they are all divided on a particular way. All the men that can
not be cured are together and all the others that can be cured and together too. The hospital is ruled by
Miss Rached, an army Nurse that is very mechanical. Everything starts when Randle McMurphy
enters the hospital. Bromden see s right away that McMurphy is not like the other patients. After
experiencing his first meeting directed by nurse Ratched, McMurphy tells the other patients that the
nurse is a

The Argument Of Concept Over Skill In Contemporary Art
for my dissertation, I intend to explore the argument of concept over skill in contemporary applied
arts. It is a debate that has cropped up many times in my experiences with creating contemporary art
pieces and in my jewellery practice and is an area with very little defined lines. In my essay I will
investigate contemporary artists works and how much concept or skill has impacted on their creation
of successful artworks, exploring the idea that the works could survive with either concept or skill
alone. My specific focus is the cotemporary jewellers. The word skill is very closely associated with
the idea of a physical object, a very tangible thing that we can easily understand, that to create such a
thing. requires skill, which in turn has required a degree of qualification or knowledge, patience or
time. Concept on the other hand is not equated with an object, more a deep thought out, intellectually
conceived idea that only the creator could ever truly understand and a stabile medium needs to be
poured inorder to convey these concepts. You could argue that yes an artist will always find an item or
a variety of pre made objects in order to convey their concepts but it is a skill to ... Show more content

Physical Therapy History

In recent decades, physical therapy has become somewhat of a hot commodity in America. According
the United States Department of Labor and Bureau of Labor Statistics (2014), the number of physical
therapy jobs is expected to jump an astonishing 36% by 2022, equating to almost 280,000 licensed,
practicing physical therapists. Physical therapy seems to have joined the ranks of doctor, teacher, and
astronaut in the list of typical career aspirations. However, many of those aspiring students do not
have a full understanding of what all physical therapy entails, including where it all began. According
to Michael A. Pagliarulo (2012) the term physical therapy wasn t coined until the 20th century, but the

making field visits to provide care for children with polio. Measurements to determine the muscle

Women In Marji s Persepolis
Persepolis, a graphic novel enriched by the autobiographical narrative of Marjane Satrapi, covers her
coming of age in the politically unstable Iran in the 1980s. Specifically, the novel concerns defining
events in Marji s character development and in accordance, her ideological perspectives; the Iranian
Revolution followed by the rise to power of the fundamentalist Khomeini (1979), the Iraqi Iranian
War (1980), and personally, her uncle Anoosh s death. Moreover, Marji s contrasting perceptions of
her dynamic and arbitrary world as both as a child and an adolescent are strongly translated into her
portrayal of different social groups: women, fundamentalists, intellectuals (such as Marji s parents),
and others. In particular, there is a strong ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First, Marji s mother is presented to the audience as a revolutionary as she participated in political
protests and her photo was published in all the European newsletters (Satrapi 15). Although Marji
describes her mother s actions in a proud register, her mother is scared of her individuality as women
are encouraged to follow specific norms, and in consequence, result looking and acting similarly. This
idea, in analysis, can be interpreted as an influence to Marji s developing identity and her interaction
with the world. Satrapi deploys visual rhetoric to convey meaning from her black and white images of
the women population, most significantly, when wearing the veil. For example, Marji illustrates the
veiled women in black to have similar properties as they are covered and only their faces are apparent,
in contrast to the protesting women in white that have different hair lengths suggesting different
identities (Satrapi 5). It can be analyzed that Satrapi s use of graphic weight in contrast between the
black veil and the white revolutionaries not only conveys Marji s internal conflict, but also
demonstrates her mother s influence in Marji s opinion on women; the fundamentalist woman versus
the modern woman (Satrapi

The Qin Shi Huangdi Qin Essay
Qin Shi Huangdi, the first Qin emperor, was a proactive and ambitious emperor who implemented a
central bureaucratic system that oversaw the evolution and unification of China at the cost of public
sentiment. The Qin Dynasty is considered among the most influential dynasties as it laid the
foundation for the massive cultural and economic development of China that took place during the
Han Dynasty, but it also failed to achieve many of its pro commoner ideological goals. In fact,
socioeconomic disparity was not alleviated and despite the notion of enriching the lives of the
common people, it was under Qin rule in which public resentment of the authoritarian government
peaked as there were countless peasant revolts against the iron handed bureaucratic rule of China.
Because a paranoid emperor alone wielded political clout and influence, the tumultuous few years of
Qin reign was rife with paranoia and suspicion among the masses. Although the Qin Dynasty is
seldom thought as possessing the same glaring discrepancy between ideology and state that the
Communist regime in post World War II China had despite the similarities, the failure of the flawless
egalitarian state models in socioeconomic and political aspects during the Qin Dynasty mirrored the
developments in early Communist China. Among the key aspects of the Qin unification was the act of
completely clearing all local aristocracies and uniting the peasant class into a single, mobilized
workforce. Ideally, the Qin

Essay On Joint Force In 2025
The United States will only be able to rebalance the Joint Force in 2025 if adequate resources are
available. Even with adequate funding, combatant commanders will experience considerable
challenges operating in the global security environment. The current strategic direction has prompted a
shift of military resources to the Asia Pacific. This trend will continue. Additionally, globalization,
cyber attacks and advances in technology will further challenge the Joint Forces in the next ten years .
The U.S. Joint Forces must identify and develop critical technology now in order to overcome future
challenges risk in 2025. Diminishing resources and lack of predictability within the military budget
process will introduce significant strategic, military and political risk . While no major organizational
changes or force reductions are recommended for the Joint Force, finding the right balance between
Active duty and Reserve end strength and missions will be necessary . Each of the Services will need
to continue to man, equip and train forces to effectively integrate operations across the Joint Force.
Anticipating, developing and fielding capabilities will be key for the Joint Forces to shape or respond
to the challenges associated with the global security environment in 2025. Military advantages within

Analysis Of The Novel Night
Adrian Tineo

25 Sept. 2015
Night
The novel Night is a vivid representation of a man s loss of faith from the beginning to the end of the
catastrophic era in which this book takes place. As a young boy Elie s inquisitive mind directed him to
the synagogue where he would study the Kabbalah s revelations and mysteries. Here is where Moishe
the beadle, a friend to Elie, would sit with him in the synagogue and they would talk for hours about
the intriguing secrets of Jewish mysticism. One important piece of advice that Moishe told Elie was,
There are a thousand and one gates allowing entry into the orchard of the mystical truth. This simply
meant he would need to pursue these answers on his own. However, Elie believed Moishe would help
him bind his questions and answers as well, into one. These meetings were interrupted when Moishe
was extracted from the Sighet where he experienced malice.
He then returned to Sighet after being left for dead and managing to escape from the Gestapo. Moishe
witnessed atrocious behavior that affected him profoundly. When he returned, he was not the same
person, the vitality in his eyes had perished. He told everyone what he had seen, but no one would pay
attention to his words. Even after hearing Moishe s words of warning they labeled him mad. Not
convinced of the stories Moishe spoke of, their normal lives kept on. This indicates that the Jews
refused to acknowledge what fate had laid ahead.

Human Diversity By Flai Lama Summary
In Ethics and New Genetics by The Dalai Lama, the author propose the need for a secular principle
based on human values to combat with the rapid emergence of biotechnology. He suggest that humans
posses a basic innate quality that serves as guidance towards responsibility and morality called moral
compass. He explores human values with an altruistic outlook from his personal accounts with the
assistance of faith/religion. Similarly, in Human Dignity by Francis Fukuyama, the author searches for
this commonality of being human through the the investigation of Factor X. Fukuyama explains,
Factor X as a collective variable of choice, rationality, language, sentience and consciousness that is
specific of human nature. Fukuyama uses studies from scientists, philosophers, educators on evolution
and its tie with the modern century to reach the conclusion that human nature must be preserved. The
authors balances the other s idea, because they are both searching for the foundation of humanity to
serve as a unifying force when science is posing division economically and genetically. The disparities
that Fukuyama and The Dalai Lama suggest are divisions based on the scale of socioeconomics,
limitations on diversity, and disruption of the complexity of humans evolved state that undermine the
basic moral sensibilities. The authors claims that the qualities found in human nature such as Factor X
or moral compass provide a sense of equality due to chance, while eugenics

Great Marking Essay
How you mark your business sets the tone for all that you do a while later: How you publicize, how
you handle your clients... indeed, even the presence of your business and its items. That is on the
grounds that your image is the identity and character of your association and everything mirrors that
personality... your logo, you re publicizing, your storefront. Think Mac PCs: at whatever time you
stroll into an Apple store, the office, its workers, the window shows... everything says we re cool, we
re inventive, we re on the front line. Go to any Wafer Barrel eatery and everything says we re friendly,
we re nation, and we serve corn meal. This permits the client to associate on an individual level. The
purpose of marking is to offer clients an unmistakable decision. In the event that you detest nation

Darkness. Stench. Silence. Those were the few things that I saw currently surrounded by.
They were the only things I knew at that point. I opened my eyes, only to find them being shadowed

ripped through my body.
Dampness, that s all I could smell, it was a different type of damp. It was not a old woodly structure
full of mold nor was it a building that surrounded by the lake, steam or damp. It had a mixture of sent .
Including mint and fresh forest smell. I was alone I didn t hear anything besides my own heart

Where was i? and why was I here? These questions kept running my mind . they had no answers. I

Discussing philosophy of science is essential since it might encourage human to be more creative and

knowledge.
The Nature of Social Science
We may start to ask the question about definition of social science. Many definitions of social science
are available. Before we move to the definition of social science we need to understand the concept of
social. According to Oxford English Dictionary (OED) online, states that social is relating to the
society or it relates to organization. Social is recognized as relating to the human being life in a
community and. As a social creature, every individual may have different attitude, character, and ways
of life, perception and behaviour. We cannot state that the behaviour of certain person is right and the
others are wrong. For example, Greeting to older person that we meet is the fact that can be said is
true since if not it would be social problem where the society believe that the good young men are
respect and greet to elder if they meet.
Social science, defined as a study about human behaviour in groups and how is their interaction to
society (OED). Social science consists of the discipline and systematic study of society and its

  • 2. Paula Deen s Argument Analysis For quite some time, I have felt horrified not by the various off the cuff utterances of some people, but by the global reaction to their off hand comments. Of no better example could I site as a commercial and societal over reaction to an offhand statement is what we witnessed to Paula Deen s comment from 30 years ago! Because Mrs. Deen is Southern, she jokingly referred to members of a race of people as the blasphemous N word. That or something like it that she shared among friends in her home amounted to a blanket hostile attack on a third of society. Something so outrageous in today s climate, that her career was destroyed. So magnified were her personal statements as generally hateful seemed likened to her personal order to deploy ... • 3. The Ethical Obligation Of Witness There is something fundamental about our humanity that is irrevocably lost when these individuals perish unheard and these stories fade away unheeded. This tragic alternative disrespects all that is sacrificed when individuals bear witness to war, and it overlooks all that can be gained when we bear witness to their stories. The Ethical Obligation to Witness Ideas from the French philosopher Emmanuel Levinas provide an ethical account of human interaction that is instrumental in elucidating the importance of bearing witness. In a text, entitled Totality and Infinity: An Essay on Exteriority , written in 1961, he asserts that individuals have an ethical obligation when interacting with one another. Levinas especially emphasizes the power ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not only are nurses responsible for the physical health of their patients, but they are burdened with an unwritten an obligation to bettering the emotional health of their patients. This is an incredible and oftentimes overwhelming role that they are asked to play. It is suggested that there is a moral necessity for a creation of space, and education to allow nurses to carry out this moral duty of bearing witness to suffering, disorder, disease, grief, joy, fear and vulnerability with others (Naef, 2006). Bearing Witness to Lived Trauma: When an individual has lived through a trauma, it is obvious that there is no way to alter the traumatic actions of the past, however, there is a possibility of mitigating the mental burden that the past plays in the everyday life of the victim. Listening to the story of another allows listeners to better understand, and therefore better serve the needs of the victims. In addition, speaking their story out loud can allow victims to bring forth an experience that has been haunting them in a way that mitigate s the amplification of emotion that can happen when a story is confined to the space of one s own mind. As the story transitions from taking sole residence in the memory of an individual to being shared with others, the survivor is sometime alleviated from a portion of the anxiety resulting from the trauma, even if only in a small way. There is a cultural desire to fit within the narrative of valid work that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. A Health Indicator Of Nepal Essay PUBLC HEALTH INDICATOR SNAP OF NEPAL Nepal is a relatively small (population around 26.5 million) land locked country, bordered by the two biggest countries in the world, India and China. Its renowned physical beauty makes it very fragmented and many parts are inaccessible by modern transport and communication facilities. There are few cities and 86% of the population lives in rural areas. The country is divided into 5 development regions, 14 zones and 75 districts. Despite its richness in biodiversity, natural resources and cultural multiplicity, Nepal has still remained a developing country where more than 24 percent of the people live under the poverty line. The impact of the poverty is manifest in all other sectors like health and hygiene, education, disaster and conflict preparedness, access to and distribution of resources, gender equity, as well as respect for humanitarian values. The transitional period of developmental change in the legal, political, financial and diplomatic scenario indicate that the country needs more efforts in the fields of social reformation, rehabilitation and development. ________________________________________ PUBLIC HEALTH SCENARIO OF NEPAL The Government of Nepal has recognized health care, reproductive right, women right, safe environment right, as abasic fundamental right, as acknowledged in the Interim Constitution of Nepal 2063 (2007), and has declared that it s the state s responsibility to ensure people s health. • 5. Mercutio Weaknesses An anonymous source once said that everything comes at a price. Everybody has strengths and weaknesses. Make use of your strengths and eliminate your weaknesses so they do not bother you. The characters in the play of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare use their strengths to their advantage but also cause trouble with their weaknesses. Throughout the play, Shakespeare indirectly characterizes Romeo, Juliet, and Mercutio through their actions. Therefore, Shakespeare creates multidimensional characters that have both strengths and weaknesses. One of the most important characters, Romeo, has many strengths and weaknesses. One of his weaknesses is his impulsiveness, while one of his strengths is being romantic. One example that portrays ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, in act three, Tybalt shows his aggression when he kills Romeo s best friend, Mercutio. Romeo tries to break up the fight. Tybalt reaches under Romeo s arm and stabs Mercutio (Shakespeare 3.5.FINISH). Tybalt was upset that Romeo was at the Capulet s party and wanted to get revenge on Romeo but Mercutio got in the way. Because Tybalt is aggressive and could not forget about Romeo s appearance at the Capulet s party, he strives for a fight and kills Mercutio. Although Mercutio is aggressive, he is also loyal. Tybalt s loyalty is an example of indirect characterization because it is not directly stated. Tybalt is loyal beyond words and honors the family rivalry of the Capulets and the Montagues. For example, in act one, Romeo comes to the Capulet s party and Tybalt is upset about his arrival. Tybalt believes that Romeo arrived to mock their party. Uncle, this is a Montague, our foe,/ A villain that is hither come in spite/ To scorn at our solemnity this night (Shakespeare 1.5.FINISH). • 8. Pakistan Is A Complex Country Pakistan is a complex country, both because of harsh physical terrain and because of a historical unpredictable government. Pakistan is constantly in the news, and a topic of discussion in The United States. Many of the fighters the American forces are fighting in Afghanistan come from Pakistan, or at least find a safe haven in the mountains of western Pakistan. In addition, Pakistan is a nuclear armed country that has a shaky government at best. I find it fascinating that a country that has a government with such a sporadic history filled with attempts to overthrow it and coups maintain a nuclear arsenal. How was this possible? I know that the United States and its allies put much effort into keeping countries such as Iran and North Korea from attaining nuclear weapons. What was going on during the development of Pakistan s nuclear program? While Pakistan is an ally of the United States, in the region that Pakistan is located that could change quickly. In addition, I feel that you must prove that you are a stable country and society before you are permitted to possess such powerful weapons. Pakistan provides a very interesting topic of discussion that some people may not be aware. The two reasons listed above are the main reason I chose to write about Pakistan, knowing little else about the country, but through my research, I found that there is more to Pakistan than just those two areas, beginning with how the country initially formed. Humans cannot control the inner actions of their eyes because the eyes are apart of the body that moves unintentionally. I chose to draw an abstract art of the eye to help the reader visualize and understand Meursault s emotions throughout the story. I also chose to use abstract art because it was an art movement that became popular in the 1940s. During this time period, abstract art consisted of multiple different colors and it stood as a method of expression for those who wanted to display their feelings. I also incorporated the usage of numerous lines in my art to represent the main character emotions. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The puzzles in the back represent the visual analysis that the author wants the readers to develop about Meursault s life. My reasoning behind this is because his life was portrayed as a puzzle and it was hard to understand why he did the things he did and why he acted the way he did. There were specific colors used to represent life and death. The dark lines indicate fear and his nonchalant attitude towards life. I used the color black because it signifies death which was coming Meursault s way towards the ending of the novel. The green signifies life that was what he came to value after sometime particularly after he was done talking to the chairman. The color yellow represents happiness which was what Meursault felt when he was with Marie and when he went to the beach. The color red represents blood which was there once he had randomly killed one of the Arabs which lead to him having to go to jail. Orange and blue were utilized to represent the sky and the sun that throughout the story we see Meursault talked about often. Overall, the book cover image was created to exhibit and incorporate all the small details of Meursault s life as described throughout the book for the reader to be able to visualize and ... • 12. Dover Beach Tone Dover Beach is a poem that was written by Matthew Arnold which describes a speaker s view on faith slowly fading from the world in which he lives. The primary purpose of this poem is to use imagery to paint a picture of the dying religious presence in the world that the speaker finds himself in. This is the central message that Matthew Arnold is trying to get across to his audience. An excellent example of how Arnold translates this to the reader is how the tone of the first eight lines and the tone of the final three lines of the poem differ from each other. The laser pulse of each channel is compressed to their Fourier limit (shortest duration) before all the pulses coherently superimpose at the exit of the apparatus and forming one laser broadband short (2 fs) pulse. The tailoring of the waveform at the exit is possible by controlling the relative phases and intensities of the four spectral channels inside the synthesizer. This was the first time that Boeing had outsourced both the manufacturing and design of the 787 to other companies where as for the other planes Boeing had only outsourced the manufacturing and had kept the design under its own control. It is a debate that has cropped up many times in my experiences with creating contemporary art pieces and in my jewellery practice and is an area with very little defined lines. In my essay I will investigate contemporary artists works and how much concept or skill has impacted on their creation of successful artworks, exploring the idea that the works could survive with either concept or skill alone. My specific focus is the cotemporary jewellers. The word skill is very closely associated with the idea of a physical object, a very tangible thing that we can easily understand, that to create such a thing. requires skill, which in turn has required a degree of qualification or knowledge, patience or time. Concept on the other hand is not equated with an object, more a deep thought out, intellectually conceived idea that only the creator could ever truly understand and a stabile medium needs to be poured inorder to convey these concepts. Although the Qin Dynasty is seldom thought as possessing the same glaring discrepancy between ideology and state that the Communist regime in post World War II China had despite the similarities, the failure of the flawless egalitarian state models in socioeconomic and political aspects during the Qin Dynasty mirrored the developments in early Communist China. Among the key aspects of the Qin unification was the act of completely clearing all local aristocracies and uniting the peasant class into a single, mobilized workforce. Ideally, the Qin ...
