Admiral Car Insurance Review
Admiral car insurance review
Admiral is a car insurance specialist which offers single and multicar insurance. The company s
insurance goal is to help their customers save time and money, also providing legal covers, 24 hour
roadside emergency accident helpline as well as personal injury cover.
Characteristics
a) Products
The first aspect when reviewing the Admiral Car insurance is the range of products. The company
offers a wide range of benefits, suited for all kind of drivers. Firstly, it grants a 10% discount for
online purchasing. This can be a good marketing strategy because it determines clients to use
Admiral s new products as well as giving live feedback for the services.
Moreover, the insurance covers young drivers, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The client and her daughter used the multicar insurance provided by the company. After an
accident, the second car was written off. However, after 18 months from these events, the client
received a letter in which Admiral stated that it did not know about the accident and a ВЈ400
administration fee should be paid. After several phone calls and poor customer service, the person
in cause found out that the company managed to take the administration fee out of the client s
account without her consent. However, the situation was solved and the money returned after the
Complaints Department was informed. This also resulted in losing a client and a poor rating for
professionalism.
However, there are also cases when customers appreciated the bright side of Admiral. This is the
case of a young driver that decided to buy her first insurance from Admiral. She tells that the agent
explained the service in detail and very clearly, and the paperwork was easy to understand. What is
more, she also states that the company offered her a discount after declining the renewal of her
policy which was much more expensive.
Suggestions
Customer service is the factor that can increase or decrease a company s credibility in the market.
The major complaint of clients refers to the situation of explaining their dilemma many times to
many agents. Solutions as providing unique customer numbers indicate a better

Dexter Research Paper
Dexter is a televesion program that debued in 2006. It follows a middle aged man named Dexter
Morgan who works for the fictional Miami Metro Police Department as a blood splater anilyst.
To his friends and co workers he seems like a normal man albeit a little socially awkward. This is
far from the truth however as Dexteris actually a serial killer. Thourghout the series we are given
insits into Dexters past to explain how and why he became a serial killer. The main reason is
reviled to be the fact that when he was three years old he witnessed the brutal murder of his
mother in front of him. This lead to him being adopted by the police officer who found him. Its
was not long after he was adopted that his adoptive father started noticing signs that Dexter had
antisocial personality disorder such as killing animals. Instead of taking Dexter to get the help that
he needed he decided to take matters into his own hands. He trained Dexter how to kill people and
get away with it; however, he tought him to only kill murderers who he thought had escaped
punishment.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Looking back on it now I see so many more connections to psychology then when I first saw it.
One of them is there portrayal of the nature vs nutrure debate. In flash backs before the death of his
mother, Dexter and his brother Brian are show being very nice and normal kids. Then after both of
them see their mother murdered in front of them they grow up to be killers themselves. Now this
could be interpited as the show being pro nurture; however, the fact that both of them are brothers

What argument does he provide for why we should not fear death? What is the ethical purpose of
this argument for how we should live our lives? Do you agree with Epicurus s views? Why or why
not?
Epicurus was a hedonist, a materialist and a consequentialist who strongly believed that in order to

In order to live the good life, one must eliminate all pain and live a life with maximum pleasure.
Unlike other hedonist philosophers, Epicurus evaluated pleasures by their duration rather than their
intensity, making psychological pleasures much more desirable to physical pleasures. Epicurus, as
a consequentialist thought that in order to achieve the good life, one had to logically assess future
consequences of human actions through rational reflection and evaluation. If one were to rationally
reflect on death they would soon realise that there was nothing but oblivion after death (de Botton
2000, p. 59).
The Leading Doctrines of Epicurean philosophy state that it is impossible to live the pleasant
life without also living sensibly, nobly and justly, and conversely it is impossible to live sensibly,
nobly and justly without living pleasantly (Epicurus, 1998b, p.53). Therefore, the good Epicurean
believes in order to live virtuously, one must adhere to a pleasurable life. For Epicureans it is
impossible to live virtuously and unpleasantly or vice versa. In addition, Epicurus describes
pleasure as our primary native good (Epicurus 1998a, p. 51), implying that all human actions are
driven by pleasures and by the avoidance of pains. Another imperative concept to Epicurean
philosophy is Epicurus idea of the three fundamental aspects in attaining pleasure, those of
friendship, freedom and an analysed life

Las Vegas Advertising Campaign
Approximately 5.9 million people traveled to Las Vegas last year to attend a convention. Thanks
to the roughly 150,00 rooms in the city designed to house individuals, it s no wonder this place
remains a great option for any organization looking to bring a large group of people together for
a trade show, convention or other major event. Companies need to take advantage of this and
make use of convention and trade show advertising in Las Vegas. With the help of Las Vegas
Convention Advertising, any business can maximize their marketing dollars. Why are mobile
billboards often the preferred advertising method in this situation? With the help of mobile
billboards, advertising to Las Vegas convention attendees has never been easier. The billboards
may be used to introduce a brand to hundreds of thousands of individuals in a short period. This
promotion is targeted to specific industries, based on which conventions are being held in the city
that week. Mobile billboards come in the form of mobile truck advertising, street teams, walking
billboards and mobile digital advertising. It s all what works best for any given company choosing
to make use of this advertising format and what the target audience is most likely to respond to....

Assessment introduction
Iain s Co is a large building services company which currently employs a team of IT technicians to
manage their IT infrastructure and support the IT users. Recently, the company has taken over a
similar but smaller company which also employs technical support staff in the same way.
The company feels that it needs a centralised IT based support system that will track, monitor and
report on the progress of the problems identified by users across the two sites generally improving
the IT support services.
The IT Support System needs to monitor the use if IT hardware, such as: keyboard, monitor,
printer, system unit, laptop, CD writer, mouse, in order to improve the service provided to users
and ensure the service is operated in an efficient way. You have already met with the network
manager and he has provided the main requirements of the system. The responsibility for
monitoring each hardware item is allocated to a specific employee.

The Controversy Over Gun Control
In the past few years Gun control has become a hot topic throughout America. With all the
shootings going around the United States, we are faced with controversies over gun control.
Americans believe that their government is going to do whatever is best for them, but is that
true when they are trying to strip us of our rights that were created for us over 300 years ago.
Our country has been thriving with the amendments and laws set before us, and today we are
trying to change them. But by just changing a few laws is that really going to stop a criminal
from getting what they wanted, there criminals for a reason. Our second amendment gives us
the right to bear arms and protect our selves from enemies foreign and domestic. This is the
foundation of country; we fight to keep the right that were given to us, so that we can protect
our families, our country, and our freedom. America has always prided it self on being the land
of the free , but with freedom comes sacrifices. However, most Americans do not see the
significance of freedom, because we are sitting on our couches living normal lives, and on the
other hand we have those individuals that joined the armed forces to keep us a safe and protect our
freedom. Lawrence Hunter stated that The Founders understood that the right to own and bear laws
is as fundamental and as essential to maintaining liberty... With liberty comes freedom and the right
to bear arms, how would the solders feel if they came home and their rights were

Causes And Effects Of The Jonestown Massacre
The Jonestown Massacre was one of America s greatest tragedies in history. Due to extreme
Racism and persecution innocent people were driven to create a socialistic society only to realize
there is no such thing. There are many causes and effects to the event of Jonestown massacre. Some
examples of those causes and effects are the background, events, responses, and efforts. Jim Jones
and the people of Peoples temple did not set out to be one of america s worst massacres, they just
want equality and to escape racism in the U.S. when a leader with a lot of responsibility, lets the
power go to his head and it resulted in failure.

Jones wanted his followers to listen to what he said and praise him for it. He wanted people to do
what he said so he could be a leader. Orwell was one of Jones biggest inspirations because of his
earlier books on russia s mind control.
Nov. 18, 1978 the day 913 innocent people died. Jim jones killed 909 of his church members
including 300 children and a senator. In the weeks leading up to this tragedy people started to
become suspicious of peoples temple in Guyana south america. As the suspicion and paranoia
grew throughout the colony Jones became obsessed and scared of what people would do. There
were an increase in the number of suicide drills, and more precautions were added. Also people
weren t allowed to have contact with the outside world so some people would try to escape but
you had to be prepared to die (o shea). If someone caught you escaping you would be punished
severely. On top of that they were surrounded by jungle so it would be hard to escape.
The day of the event the people all met in their place of worship to end their lives. Children were
injected with potassium cyanide and chloride, adults were given purple kool aid with poison
mixed in. (where the phrase drinking the kool aid came from). Jones and his wife also took the
potion as well. If any one refused the drink then they were shot in the head.
One of the most important effects of Jonestown was the major social changes. after the event people

It was hot. So hot, that sweat caused clothes clung to all skin it came into contact with. This
sweat was dripping off her as if it was forced water cascading from a small opening at the top of
the head of a statue standing in the center of a fountain. However, it wasn t a statue standing in
the center of a fountain, but a small child on her knees leaning up against a wall. If this was not
the worst bed bell dream a child receive as a gift, then the horror that came next to mind was told
true. There was the taste of blueberries in her mouth that did nothing to help with the discomfort
and had only added more sorrow to what she was now experiencing. Wherever this hot dark
place was and where the tang of blueberry in her mouth came from, only the gods knew and she
was too young to be recognized by them as one of their servants to ask those questions. This only
added to the enormous mountain of confusion her mind was unsuccessfully trying to sort out. The
last thing she remembered was of a wonderful bed bell dream gift, but it had suddenly turned dark
and scary. Her mother and father both had tears in their eyes and her father more so of the two. She
was chosen to go on a very important adventure, but she had to do so without him. Just the thought
of doing something this important without her father felt terribly wrong. She could not remember a
moment when she did not have her father near. It mattered little if it was to break their fast at dawn,

What would the world do without dancing? Many styles of this art form are spread from different
cultures around the world, and are performed all over. Cha Cha, samba, ballroom, swing, disco,
and break dance are all unique forms of dance that are performed, but the one with the most class
and rich history is ballet. The elements the combine to form a danceculture include the origin, the
music involved, and the classes of dancers. These dance styles contain different components, but
ballet is an older, more moving, art form that contains graceful dances set to classical music versus
break dancing, which is more modern with sharp movements set to hip hop. Ballet has many

Breakdancing is a much newer style that has been around for less than a century. It originated in
the 1970s in the Bronx, New York with the streets as a stage. Afrika Bambaataa was credited for
forming one of the earliest dance crews entitles the Zulu Kings (From Street to Dance). They
earned a reputation with their breakdancing circles, and then more people joined in, and from
there, the style started to evolve. More well known groups such as the Rock Steady Crew of
New York City helped in surging the popularity of breakdancing in low income communities and
urban areas. In pop culture, many interpretations such as youth alternative and violent gangs
have evolved to merge into a R B funk classification. It is less planned out, and more improvised
based on the rhythm to where there is a named style entitled freestyle (Art of Funk). Short, sharp
motions make up the majority of the terms derived from slang. Hip hop music is used, and unlike
classical, it has lyrics that can be used to convey a message. Living below the poverty line used to
the main theme, but as it evolved, dances became more about drugs, partying, how amazing the
artist is. The original meaning was driven out by pop culture and the desire for validation. Starting
from the streets of the Bronx, breakdancing has evolved to a less meaningful art form that has

The Pros And Cons Of Robots
Are autonomous robots the warfare altering weapon of this generation? In order to answer this
question there must be a clear definition of autonomous robots. An autonomous robot is a robot that
can perform any action without any human assistance and once weaponized they become
autonomous robotic weapons who act on their own. Knowing the current standing of autonomous
robots, the limitations on them, and how easily they can cause an autonomous robotarms race one
would see how a preemptive ban can protect the world. Although some would argue for the help
these robots could provide, there would always be a threat of malfunction. Therefore banning all
applications autonomous robots could protect the world from unnecessary deaths or increased
future conflict.
The current standing of autonomous robots is fairly controversial. There are numerous groups
arguing over whether autonomous robots will help society or pave the way for a robot enforced
martial law. One group against the use of autonomous robots is the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots
which argues against the idea of anything other than a human being able to take a life (Goose
Wareham, 2016,p. 32). This group sees autonomous robots as a threat to humanity ,due to how
weaponized autonomous robotics could dehumanize the casualties they cause. While in contrast,
the Department of Defense(DOD) is highly interested in the idea of autonomous weapons being
able to help remove soldiers from war zones and lessen the number of

Examples Of Medical Malpractice
Medical Malpractice: Michael Chambers informs you about everything you need to know
Medical malpractice is an example of negligence that may cause a severe personal injury or death.
Precisely, medical malpractice denotes a legal offense that happens if a medical professional does
not perform his or her duties properly due to negligence. As it has been pointed out before, the
result of medical negligence is injury or death. Medical professionals include doctors, nurses,
dentists, chiropractors, opticians, pharmacists etc.
In Cyprus, medical malpractice is covered by the civil law (Cap.148). However, many times, a
medical malpractice case in Cyprus considers a dispute over the standard of care . The term
standard of care denotes the level of skill, expertise and care practiced by medical professionals
under some particular circumstances. In Cyprus, standard of care is often determined through
consultations from medical professionals who practice or teach medicine in the same specialty as
the defendant. The expert s testimony is essential since a lack of recovery or injury does not imply
that the standard of care has not been followed.

Example Of The Unsung Heros
Some people view a hero as a man that saves a child from a burning building, or a man that stops
the robber at the bank. Although they re not wrong a hero can be much more, most heros go
unheard of and are not rewarded. On the other hand some heros do get noticed for their courageous
acts and are rewarded with a medalor other objects that signified they have helped the world. The
heros I want to show you are some of the unsung heros that did great things. I define a hero as
being a self sacrificing, determined, and a brave ordinary person.
Ever seen a hero sacrifice himself for others, if so this is probably a hero like John roberts who
put his life on the line for the greater good. This section of hero usually results in the death of one
man to save many. This example from Listverse.com about 1st Lieutenant John Robert in WW2
shows just that. Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient and Prince look a like 1st Lieutenant
John Robert Fox was directing artillery fire in the Italian town of Sommocolonia to stall a
German advance. While Fox was directing fire, a large German force moved in on his
position.Realising that this force was a huge threat to his men, Fox called a final artillery strike
on himself. When his men eventually retook the position, Fox s body was found next to
approximately 100 dead German troops and a medal was placed neatly on his chest. This is truly
moving who knows if he didn t sacrifice himself it could have turned the tide for WW2.

Sensory input rushing throughout the nervous system can overwhelm feelings causing them to
develop into a panic attack. Panic attack symptoms can make one feel short of breath, dizzy,

rapid heart rate, sweating, chest pain, trembling, tightness in the throat, chills, hot flashes, and a
sense of impending doom. Panic attacks usually begin suddenly, without warning. While driving,
at the mall, or even when one is sound asleep panic attacks can happen at any time. While the
time is varied the symptoms usually peak within ten minutes, lasting about half an hour. Some
people feel tired and worn out after a panic attack is over. For people with this disorder one of
the worst things is the intense fear that they will have another panic attack. Some even try to avoid
situations where they may have a panic attack; because, no place feels safe some are unable to

Farewell Speech For Farewell

good night. Is a great honor and a great responsibility to express through a few words the feelings

The Impact Of Social Worker On Contemporary Society
The role of a Social Worker in contemporary society has become a hot potato in today s social and
political world. The speech presented by Michael Gove at the launch of the fast track Social
Work training programme Frontline , proposes the age old debate surrounding the purpose of
Social Workers. Gove (2013) addresses Social Workers to stop viewing individuals they work
with as victims of social injustice , suggesting this robs individuals of their power of agency
(Gove, 2013). All causation of behaviour is reduced to simply personal factors such as substance
abuse, domestic violence and personal irresponsibility ; renouncing any possibility of economic and
structural influences (Gove, 2013). This approach to Social Workhas been evident throughout the
19th Century, demonstrated through the work of Octavia Hill (Price and Simpson, 2007) and
Mary Richmond (Kam, 2012). This individualistic approach presupposes that change should come
from within the individual, encouraging Social Work to target these individual issues to strive for a
overall better individual (Leighninger, 2008). Social Worker s adopt the role of a technician ;
predominantly focusing on the best solution from the options they are given (Simpson and Connor,
2011). Although a technician can be invaluable within practice, this theory has been largely
criticised as it can focus too heavily on the reductionist deficit model (Kam, 2012). The second

Brown V Board Of Education (Brown) (1954) Marked A Historic
Brown v Board of Education (Brown) (1954) marked a historic victory for civil rights in the
United States. Chief Justice Warren declared the Separate but Equal doctrine unconstitutional,
thereby moving the nation one step closer to a more integrated society. However, despite Brown s
monumental win for racial equality, it is undoubtedly obvious that the Court overstepped its
boundaries in trying to push for progress. In Brown, the Court was unjustified in its actions to
overrule Plessy v Ferguson (Plessy) (1896) and violated its constitutional limit in order to promote
racial integration in public education. In order to fully examine the background and context in
which Brown rose, we must examine Plessy. Plessy was heard in the Supreme... Show more content

Discussing the ambiguities of determining one s race proved irrelevant to this case for Plessy s
race wasn t explicitly stated on the record (Urofsky, 186). Also, the altercation between the
conductor and Plessy had nothing to do with the Conductor s ability to determine Plessy s race
because it was Plessy who self identified as being colored (Urofsky, 186). Lastly, regarding the
constitutionality of the Separate but Equal doctrine, Justice Brown believed racial separation to
be different from racial subordination (Urofsky, 187). He explained that the feeling of inferiority
solely derives from how Black Americans perceive the doctrine, and not from the actual doctrine
itself (Urofsky 187). This decision in Plessy legitimized racial segregation and upheld the
constitutionality of Louisiana s doctrine. By the time Brown rolled around, America was in dire
need of a remedy caused by the aftermath of Plessy. Brown was a compilation of four similar cares,
all dealing with the question of whether primary and secondary public school should be racially
integrated. Segregation kept Black students from attending schools closer to home, sometimes
forcing young kids to travel miles away from home to receive an education. Segregation was getting
ridiculous to the point where White Southerners would build a completely new institutions, just to
stop Black students from entering their schools (Urofsky, 279). With Brown, plaintiffs sought to

Modern Thesis Paper
During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, changes in the dynamics of society caused
intellectuals to question the traditions of everyday life. From religious views to the arts of
literature, traditional values and forms were rejected, thus defining a line between the two time
periods, which can be considered as the start of the Modern era. Also known as Modernism, the
modern era used literature as an outlet for expressing the thoughts and feelings of the time. Modern
texts use city life, industrialization and globalization, and ironic and satirical themes to showcase
their bleak outlook on life post both world wars. The nature of these events are aspects of society ...

Why You Should Outlaw Credit and Debit Cards
We are lucky to live in a society with easy and secure access to our money through the use of
credit and debit cards. We re even given register books to manage the amount of money that goes
in and out of our accounts on a daily basis. However, most people are forgoing the hour long
process of jotting down every receipt in their wallet in favor of online transaction summaries
that most banks provide. Debit and Credit cards are great things, don t get me wrong. But, let s
be honest, it s a lot easier to lose track of how much money you spend when you can t visually see a
wad of money slowly disappearing inside your wallet. Losing the credit and debit card is the perfect
way to kick start your money resolutions.
Here is a list of several reasons that switching to cash can help kick start your money resolutions
You can actually see how much money you spend if you use cash
You can t go into debt or procure pesky overdraft fees
You can learn how to budget better (you can t spend cash that s not there)
Using cash instead of card can

New Jersey Lifestyle
The Elitist New Jersey Lifestyle
Growing up in a county where kids have everything handed to them and then moving to college,
where people actually have to work for what they have, has been an immense change. The
lifestyle and culture in New Jersey are very different than the lifestyles and culture found in
Michigan as a whole. After coming to Holland, MI, I have found a few similarities between
Hunterdon County, NJ, and Holland, MI. In general, Holland is a less extreme version of
Hunterdon County. For NJ, everything s a competition, a game. Having to grow up in New Jersey

I have also seen what wealth and materials can turn someone into. My ... Show more content on

These were not like normal family graduation parties, where they serve dinner, and guests hang
out. These parties consist of parents buying the kids alcohol, housing seventy or more kids for
the night, and catering the whole place with food. For about a month, I probably went to at least
four graduation parties a week. It was insane. I legitimately lived out of my car during this time
because there was always a new house I had to go to for the night. It was no longer a family meal

Once again, it was all about showing off your house and showing that you can in fact feed seventy
inebriated kids, just because why not. It is all about wealth and material objects, that is what allows
you to succeed in Hunterdon

Suzy And Leah By Jane Yolen Analysis
Suzy and Leah Suzy and Leah, a diary entry series by Jane Yolen, was about two different girls,
one of whom lived in a refugee camp in the United States. These girls did not know or understand
each other in the beginning, but they eventually became friends. Leah was a German born Jew
who had fled Germany in 1944. She had come to the refugee camp and quickly realized that it
was in lack of food and clothing, much of which was donated by the people of the city. Many
pedestrians walked by the camp s fences and held food over the top. All of the children came
running to the fence in hopes that they could retrieve the food. Leah never participated because she
thought that it made all of them look like wild animals and prisoners. Suzy Ann

Frantz Fanon
Frantz Fanon was a deeply involved and diligent philosopher who recognized the separation and
relations between the oppressed and the oppressors as well as the fight for freedom. He
specifically speaks on Algeria as the colonized, facing the French who were the colonizers. Fanon
was writing mainly during the 1940 s 60 when decolonization was becoming popular. Fanon was
greatly involved in the decolonization struggle, and in his book The Wretched of the Earth, Fanon
explains and observes the ways in which the colonized shall attempt to declare their rights from the
colonizers. Fanon believed that the only way for the colonized to earn their independence, they
would have to violently rebel against the colonizers. The famous movie or book... Show more

Before they begin celebrating, the Capitol diminishes the rule that was previously in place, which
allowed for two winners from the same district, and returned to the original rule in which only one
tribute shall be crowned victor. Neither Katniss nor Peeta gave in to the controlling and evil plans
of the Capitol, which called for either of them to turn on the other, and Katniss unselfishly
suggested that they both eat the poisonous Nightlock berries, leaving no victor. Here they both
demonstrate great courage and passion, as they are about to eat the berries when the Capitol gives
in and allows them both to be victorious. Katniss and Peeta defy that violence is necessary to gain
their independence as Fanon suggests. Rather than violently fighting until one of them remains,
they understand that if this were to happen the Capitol would have been pleased; however, instead
Peeta and Katniss use peace and intellect to first act on what would strongly annoy the Capitol,
having no winner, forcing the Capitol to have the final decision, two winners or no winners. Living
under the totalitarian rule of the Capitol, participating in these games in which, the most important
key to survival is to kill, Katniss and Peeta definitively defied Fanon and provided a strong,
symbolic message to all of the districts and the Capitol that change was headed its way. Frantz

Sociological Imagination In Australian Society
Use your sociological imagination to reflect on your position in Australian society today. What
social factors have shaped who you are? (750 words) In this essay I will reflect upon how social
factors such as gender and family life have influenced my position in Australian society. At the
age of 13 my parents decided that I was old enough to catch the train into the city. When my
brother reached this age my parents were more reluctant in allowing him the same privilege,
according to them I was more mature so they trusted that I would be responsible. However, this
opinion differed to other things we did when growing up such as going to parties and going out at

one is male. The attitude my parents had towards my safety was reflected by the idea of the risks

The Effects Of Cardiovascular System On The Body
Thousands of babies are born a day in the United States. One out every 691 babies born has Down
syndrome, a disorder caused by an extra copy of the chromosome twenty one. In short, this
syndrome shortens the person s life span, and causes assorted severity of mental retardation. Those
carrying this extra chromosome have flattened noses, rounder faces, are petite in size, and are much
more prone to additional unhealthy disturbances or effects on substantial systems in the body.
One specific organ system Down syndrome affects is the cardiovascular system, the main system
that pumps blood throughout the body and essentially manages the lunges. In this system, oxygen
and other necessary nutrients are transported to cells of the body, carbon dioxide is transported to
the lungs, and unnecessary residue is emitted to the kidney, where it is then excreted from the
body. Additionally, the cardiovascular system plays a big role in homeostasis, the component of
our bodies that keeps our internal environment at a constant, appropriate temperature, blood
clotting and fighting infections. There are three main types of cells that help execute the
operations of the cardiovascular system. The first are red blood cells. These cells, as mentioned
earlier, carry oxygen to every part of the body, most importantly to the lungs to help us breath.
Second, are white blood cells, which are essential for fighting infections. These cells generate
antibodies, which are proteins in the blood

The ad starts off with a short drumroll with lively and catchy background music, indicating an
upcoming important event, which is a fur coat catwalk show. Beautiful women start modelling on
the catwalk on by one. The scene shows audience and models alternatively. Once the first model
starts to walk, cameras of the reporters have not stopped flashing. Audience whistle and applaud as
models walk in front of them, who are showing off the furcoat on their bodies seductively.
The scene transfers to multiple audience s face, capturing especially their unconscious actions,
like biting their lips with hungry eyes, eyes following every movement of the models.
consecutively showing female audiences jealousy, admiration and love towards the models
wearing fur, with their eyes stick to every movement of the fur coat model. Moreover, the scene
captures one of the male audience expression of appreciation, towards these fur coat models. In a
wide angle, all of the audiences cannot take their eyes off these models.
The music suddenly turns minor, contrasting to an elegant turn around of one of the models.
Suddenly there is a splash of blood on an audience s face. Her face immediately turned sour, and
painful. More drops of blood are then seen on the catwalk, and on more audience s faces. They are
frightened and shocked as more blood is splashed on their faces. The background music turns to
compact sound of the animal jungle. Audience fearfully look at their blood covered hands and back

competition in the PC market. The company has become the market leader in the PC segment in
the third and fourth quarter of 2006, relegating Dell to the second position. With Michael Dell
returning as Chief Executive Officer, Dell is likely to come back strongly and make a fierce bid
for market leadership. Other significant competitors in the PC market include Acer, Apple

faces competition from local companies and from generically branded or white box manufacturers.
The company s competitors in enterprise servers and storage include broad solutions providers

sold to Ares Management led by Anthony Ressier for $850 million. Initially, it had been reported
Levenson could have sold it anywhere ranging from $700 million to $1 billion. It is presumably
believed that bankers tried to oversell in the beginning. Previously in the year 2013, it had been

in conjunction with Ed Peskowitz were the majority owners, owning around 50% of the Atlanta

Becoming A Knight Process Essay
There were several steps involved in the process of becoming a knight. First, once a nobleman s
son was around seven years old, he would be sent off to a castle owned by a knight and would be
taught how to become a knight. Then he would become the knight s page. Most boys were pages
for six or seven years, during which they learnt many of the basic skills of knighthood. These
included learning to ride and care for a horse, training to fight, learning manners, learning how to
hunt, and learning to care for armour and equipment. He would also learn how to appreciate music
and to read, and some were even taught how to play the lute.
When the boy was around fourteen years old, and had done well enough, he would become a squire.
He was then assigned to a knight and became his personal assistant, and had to aid his knight in

Some of these virtues were mercy, humility, honour, sacrifice, fear of god, faithfulness, courage,

times of war. They were expected to know how to fight and would serve their lord according to the
Code of Chivalry.
Knights were involved in the Crusades as they wanted to reclaim holy land and perhaps create
their own kingdoms. All of the crusaders wanted to reconquer the holy land and were encouraged
to do so in 1095 CE by the Pope Urban II. The Christians enlisted as many knights as they could,
as they were the best warriors. Many of them supported Christian orders before they enlisted, and
those of them that hadn t would either be rejected or would be expected to change mindsets. Also,

Female Crickets Calling Song Essay
From our experiment, we are unable to reject that female crickets do not choose their mates based
on their calling song. The t test value did not give us a significant difference in the female s view

show the femaledoes choose the male based on his calling song (Gray, 1997). Some of our data

The observation tank took awhile to set up. The first few trials the crickets were getting into the

by the female. The recording microphones were of cheap quality, and a lot of feedback/static

higher quality of microphone would have made the recordings of the male crickets chirp more

Nancy initially bought the car when Ford mentioned that the use of the vehicle is intended for
suburban driving. The legal theories that she sued concluded with product liability, negligence,
and breach of warranty claim. With product liability a manufacture is responsible and liable for
defective products that results in injuries from using that product for its purpose, but the person
has to prove that the product is defective. Bronco II had a low stability index attributable to its
high center of gravity and relatively narrow track width. Ford argued that design features of
which Nancy complained were necessary to the vehicle s off road capabilities. Ford stated that
vehicle had been intended to be used as an off road vehicle and was not intended to be sold as a
conventional passenger automobile. The negligence theory deals with whether Ford knew that the
product was defective but sold it anyways. Breach of warranty claims deals with the warranty
provided by the manufacture which it states that the vehicle is in great condition for its purpose,
which is driving. If the condition isn t great and is not fit to drive then the

Memory in Beloved Essay
Clariza Gutierrez
April 16, 2012
English 320
In everyone s life there is a moment that is so dreadful and horrific that it is best to try to push it
further and further back into your mind. When traumatized by death for example it is very natural
to shut off the memory in order to self defense suppresses the awful emotional experience. Very
often it is thoughtful that this neglecting and abandoning is the best way to forget. In Toni Morrison
s novel Beloved, memory is depicted as a dangerous and deliberating faculty of human
consciousness. In this novel Sethe endures the oppression of self imposed prison of memory by
revising the past and death of her daughter Beloved, her mother and Baby Suggs. In Louise Erdrich

She must have nursed me two or three weeks that s the way the others did (pg 73). Again here we
see how milk to a child is important to Sethe because it is the only interaction that she had with her
daughter Beloved and her nameless mother. Even though Sethe tries to understand and cope with
the past, Beloved generates a metamorphosis in Sethe that allows her to speak what she had thought
to be the unspeakable.
With Beloved s arrival and back into Seth s life, Sethe also feels the need of going back into the
memory of Baby Suggs, her mother in law. Baby Suggs held religious gatherings at a place called
the clearing, where she taught her followers to love their voices, bodies and minds. However, after
Sethe s act of infanticide, Baby Suggs stops preaching and retreats to a sick bed to die.
Accompanied by Denver and Beloved, Sethe feels the need to go to the clearing where Baby
Suggs used to preach. Baby Suggs long distance love was equal to any skin close love she had
known. The desire, let alone the gesture, to meet her needs was good enough to lift her spirits to
the place where she could take the next step (pg 112). In this section the memory of Baby Suggs
also comes onto the surface, making Sethe want to remember her death by the presence of Beloved.
Similar to Toni Morrison s novel Beloved, Erdrich s novel Love Medicine shows characters also
dealing with memory of death and the

been estranged from his family for over a decade and his only social support are the people at he

reconnecting with his family. If he is receptive to the idea, she can probably, with his consent,

she will be with the code of ethics to do so. In the state of Florida, according to the Florida Mental

The Artistic Aspect of Architecture Essay
The Artistic Aspect of Architecture
Architecture is undeniably one of the most powerful forms of art. Buildings have the ability to
loom in the distance when seen from afar. As you approach it more and more details can be seen.
Minute intricacies such as stone quality, texture, and perhaps some ornate detailing become
apparent. Even standing at a doorway can provide some involved feelings. Does the building seem
to invite the viewer inside with elaborate carvings and an open view to the interior? Or does it
intimidate the viewer with its massive proportions making them feel insignificant and trivial? When
inside the architecture as a medium the viewer is surrounded by and grasped within its walls and
ceiling. This quality is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This captivation has endured through the ages so as to elevate these structures beyond mere
buildings and to the status of art. In this light, the buildings can now be admired quite like a
painting or a sculpture in respect to the composition and placement of key components that come
together to make the glorified whole.
One significant part of any building is its door. How the interior is transferred into the exterior is
very important. Stepping through the doorway of a door is much like the thought of stepping
between a portal in between two realms. One of the most graceful examples of this transition is
illustrated through the Cathedral of Notre Dame of Paris north transept.
A string of events and thoughts occurs to the viewer when approaching the gothic cathedral s
northern transept. We see the gigantic façade of the Church. Curiosity invites us into the structure
through the tremendous stained glass rose. We see the rose, darkened because of the absence of
light not coming from the inside of the church. Automatically, the mind imagines the point of view
one would have from inside the cathedral while witnessing the light pass through the beautifully
colored glass. Another way that we are invited to step through the portal is through the fact that the
portal offers a space that is not totally outside nor inside, providing a smooth transition. The portal
has a roof so that if

Mark Twain Unconscious Plagiarism
Mark Twain was a very talented man who did many great things in his time. Mark Twain was a
writer and was very good at his writing too. He sold many books in his time and was also a good
person. When he did something wrong, he knew he did and when he did something right, he didn t
get full of himself or rude. Mark Twain was a man of honesty, he was very successful in his writing,
and was a great author of stories. Mark Twain was a very honest man. In the writing piece
written by Mark Twain, titled, Unconscious Plagiarism , it says, Perhaps I unconsciously stole
the rest of the volume, too, for many people have told me that my book was pretty poetical one
way or another. Well, of course, I wrote Doctor Holmes and told him I hadn t meant to steal and
he wrote back and said in the kindest way that it was all right and no harm done; and added that
he believed we all unconsciously worked over ideas gathered in reading and hearing, imagining
they were original with ourselves. This was written because Mark Twain wrote something and a
man told him that it was very similar to someone else s writing. The man showed him proof of it
and Mark Twain realized that he had read poems written by another man before he had begun
writing and accidentally stole this man s way of writing without realizing it. But after he realized
this, he owned up to it and apologized for it. There are many examples but this is just one of the
many that show you that Mark Twain was a very truthful person.

The Ice Hockey Rink
One place I feel at home is the ice hockey rink I go to everyday. I love playing hockey as much as
I can and I know many people at the rink. Whenever I go I recognize someone, a former coach, or
just even a good friend of mine. I usually go to the rink five to six times a day and enjoy every
minute. I spend most of my time on the ice doing my drills, practicing, or even just fooling
around with my friends at a fun stick time. The rink is freezing for most people but not for me
being used to the climate. There is one area where people can sit and watch the games in the
warm inside above the stand inside the rink area. The seats look like metal bars going from east to
west but no matter where you are sitting you get a good taste of the action.

Freedom During The Gilded Age
Freedom during the Gilded Age The meaning of freedom for black Americans have changed
over time, during the Gilded Age Blacks definition of freedom was defined as a new social order
still driven at the hope of an American society breaking free from the anti democratic restraints
imposed by a corrupt government. This concept of freedom changed when WWII and the 1960
s Conservative Revolution started ,allowing blacks to reap the benefits of social, political and
economic prosperities by having the right to choose and participate in part of the American
society . The definition of freedom for black Americans rarely existed during the Gilded Age.
Most blacks were still left in poverty looking for jobs that wouldn t bring them any prosperity
out of urban ghettos or the discriminative south. The minority of workers that had freedom
during the Second Industrial Revolution were skilled workers who demanded high wages and
exercised considerable control over the industrial production process(mostly whites)(Foner 594).
The new social order started for blacks during the Gilded Age was done to end the slavery
controversy and create equal class lines and labor (Foner 619).The Knights of Labor were the
first group to try to organize unskilled as well as skilled women alongside men, blacks and whites
as well (Foner 620). Although the 13th Amendment abolished slavery the Knights of Labor
acknowledged we are not the free people that we imagined we are (Foner 620). The unrestrained

The Problems Of Long Distance Relationships
Long distance relationships occur because a person is away from his or her significant other for a
length of time. According to Lisa McKay, previously tried solutions for long distance relationships
are Skype dates and good communication. Long distance relationships are a large problem
throughout the United States with a significant failure rate, but the relationships succeed if each
person in the relationship is willing to make the relationship work until the two reunite. In the
United States alone, there are between 14,000,000 and 15,000,000 people in long distance
relationships, and 4,500,000 of those people are not married ( Long Distance Relationship
Statistics ). People move away for numerous reasons; they may want to see new... Show more

The best way to implement the solution is to maintain a good group of friends. Understanding
friends will offer support instead of always wanting to go out. In order to avoid becoming lonely,
it is important to maintain good relationships. Caring friends will understand if public
fraternization costs too much and will offer to do something fun at home instead. Another step is
to video chat a few times a week to keep in touch. Do not overdo it, because that makes both
sides of the relationships bored with the other. Other simple steps are to find movies to watch on
TV and avoid spending unnecessary money. The progress can be tracked by how well the
relationship works. If each side expresses happiness, then the solution is working; however, if the
communication, or the lack of, leads to unhappiness, then the solution is not working and an
intervention is needed. A weakness in the solution is that there may be long periods of time spent
apart. Especially with college students, finding the time to work and study is already hard enough,
but finding the time and the money to travel is a whole different story. The visits may be more
spaced out that originally intended. Another obstacle is that staying at home instead of going out
requires extreme self discipline. When everyone else entertains themselves at social events,

Work Experience 4
Lastly, I was involved with drafting and editing of engineering drawings. This is needed and
essential in almost all engineering sector to communicates ideas and all needed information from
the engineer to the manufacturer. Another important item would be the Engineering orders (EO),
which are used for changes in components, assemblies, or documents such as processes and work
instructions.
I started out with doing EO. As mentioned before, while assembling and inspecting, some
mistakes could be found and were corrected. As such, I had to do an EO for a few components.
Being new, I had the help from the staffs here, especially on the required standards on the EO.
Through this, I learnt of the importance of tolerance, projection view and the decimal places. The
same applied for engineering drawing.

The Stigma Of The Mentally Ill
In our current society there is no love to be held for those who are classified as mentally ill. The
mentally ill have become a stigma in our modern day society. When society hears the word
mentally ill the unbidden thought of an unhinged man or woman walking down the street talking to
themselves or yelling incoherently comes to mind. If they aren t stereotyped as insane, then the
mentally ill are generally seen as awkward, violent, incompetent, or weird. Even without the
negative stereotypes, there are some who consider mentally ill people a burden on society simply
because they don t believe mental illnesses are actual diseases. For the people like myself who
haven t had any interactions with the mentally ill, we get our information about mental illnessfrom
mass media. The media is of no help to the mentally ill either, though the media may occasionally
portray a mentally ill character as quirky or bighearted, they are usually portrayed as insane and
coldhearted. The media unintentionally perpetuates the institutionalized fear of the mentally ill. If
society is constantly associating metal illness with negative character traits, this can lead to fear
and discrimination. Without the help of society backing them up, people with mental illnesses will
ignore or disregard them, or not be given the treatment they need. An example of this is evident in
Aviv s article, God Know Where I Am, Linda Bishop ignores the mental illness she has been
diagnosed with. Though Linda Bishop

Social Work Values And Ethics
Running head: Social Work Values and Ethics 1
Social Work Values and Ethics Unique to the Profession Jessica A. Rosario Arizona State University
Social Work Values and Ethics 2 Abstract The history and evolution of social work dates to the late
1800 s.
Since the profession was recognized many concerns arose regarding the values and ethics of social
workers. The key points of the NASW Code of Ethics, the CSWE Educational Policy and
Standards, and HIPAA will be summarized. Some of the most challenging ethical issues facing
social workers and the social work profession today, have been explored. The core values of the...

The CSWE ensures that social workers are educated and competent in the field of social work. It
serves as a guideline for social work educators. The (CSWE) uses the Educational Policy Act
Standards (EPAS) to accredit baccalaureate and master s level social work programs. EPAS
supports academic excellence by establishing thresholds for professional competence (CSWE,
2015).
Social Work Values and Ethics4 Ethical issues in general, regardless of the profession or field
one is in are inevitable. Social workers understand the value base of the profession and its value
base of the profession and its ethical standards, as well as relevant laws and regulations that may
impact practice at the micro and macro level (Segal, 2016). Although social workers are trained
and understand ethical standards does not prevent them to one day face ethical issues.
According to (Reamer, 2014) we have embarked on a new period, one which few of us, he
suspected, could have anticipated. Today s social workers can provide services online or via
video counseling or text messages to clients they never meet in person. They may receive
Facebook friend request from clients or former clients that lead to boundary challenges. These
boundary challenges as Reamer categorizes them are part of what he calls the Digital period. Issues
steadily arise even among segments of the population that one would expect to

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The client and her daughter used the multicar insurance provided by the company. After an accident, the second car was written off. However, after 18 months from these events, the client received a letter in which Admiral stated that it did not know about the accident and a ВЈ400 administration fee should be paid. After several phone calls and poor customer service, the person in cause found out that the company managed to take the administration fee out of the client s account without her consent. However, the situation was solved and the money returned after the Complaints Department was informed. This also resulted in losing a client and a poor rating for professionalism. However, there are also cases when customers appreciated the bright side of Admiral. This is the case of a young driver that decided to buy her first insurance from Admiral. She tells that the agent explained the service in detail and very clearly, and the paperwork was easy to understand. What is more, she also states that the company offered her a discount after declining the renewal of her policy which was much more expensive. Suggestions Customer service is the factor that can increase or decrease a company s credibility in the market. • 3. Dexter Research Paper Dexter is a televesion program that debued in 2006. It follows a middle aged man named Dexter Morgan who works for the fictional Miami Metro Police Department as a blood splater anilyst. To his friends and co workers he seems like a normal man albeit a little socially awkward. This is far from the truth however as Dexteris actually a serial killer. Thourghout the series we are given insits into Dexters past to explain how and why he became a serial killer. The main reason is reviled to be the fact that when he was three years old he witnessed the brutal murder of his mother in front of him. This lead to him being adopted by the police officer who found him. Its was not long after he was adopted that his adoptive father started noticing signs that Dexter had antisocial personality disorder such as killing animals. Instead of taking Dexter to get the help that he needed he decided to take matters into his own hands. He trained Dexter how to kill people and get away with it; however, he tought him to only kill murderers who he thought had escaped punishment.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Looking back on it now I see so many more connections to psychology then when I first saw it. One of them is there portrayal of the nature vs nutrure debate. In flash backs before the death of his mother, Dexter and his brother Brian are show being very nice and normal kids. Then after both of them see their mother murdered in front of them they grow up to be killers themselves. Now this could be interpited as the show being pro nurture; however, the fact that both of them are brothers opens up the argument that it was there genetics that was the qulperite for their ... What argument does he provide for why we should not fear death? What is the ethical purpose of this argument for how we should live our lives? Do you agree with Epicurus s views? Why or why not? Epicurus was a hedonist, a materialist and a consequentialist who strongly believed that in order to attain the good life one must live a pleasant existence free of worry and pain. Through reflection of the concepts in Epicurus s Letter to Menoeceus this paper will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to live the good life, one must eliminate all pain and live a life with maximum pleasure. Unlike other hedonist philosophers, Epicurus evaluated pleasures by their duration rather than their intensity, making psychological pleasures much more desirable to physical pleasures. Epicurus, as a consequentialist thought that in order to achieve the good life, one had to logically assess future consequences of human actions through rational reflection and evaluation. If one were to rationally reflect on death they would soon realise that there was nothing but oblivion after death (de Botton 2000, p. 59). The Leading Doctrines of Epicurean philosophy state that it is impossible to live the pleasant life without also living sensibly, nobly and justly, and conversely it is impossible to live sensibly, nobly and justly without living pleasantly (Epicurus, 1998b, p.53). Therefore, the good Epicurean believes in order to live virtuously, one must adhere to a pleasurable life. For Epicureans it is impossible to live virtuously and unpleasantly or vice versa. In addition, Epicurus describes pleasure as our primary native good (Epicurus 1998a, p. 51), implying that all human actions are driven by pleasures and by the avoidance of pains. Another imperative concept to Epicurean philosophy is Epicurus idea of the three fundamental aspects in attaining pleasure, those of friendship, freedom and an analysed life

With all the shootings going around the United States, we are faced with controversies over gun control. Americans believe that their government is going to do whatever is best for them, but is that true when they are trying to strip us of our rights that were created for us over 300 years ago. Our country has been thriving with the amendments and laws set before us, and today we are trying to change them. But by just changing a few laws is that really going to stop a criminal from getting what they wanted, there criminals for a reason. Our second amendment gives us the right to bear arms and protect our selves from enemies foreign and domestic. This is the foundation of country; we fight to keep the right that were given to us, so that we can protect our families, our country, and our freedom. America has always prided it self on being the land of the free , but with freedom comes sacrifices. However, most Americans do not see the significance of freedom, because we are sitting on our couches living normal lives, and on the other hand we have those individuals that joined the armed forces to keep us a safe and protect our freedom. This sweat was dripping off her as if it was forced water cascading from a small opening at the top of the head of a statue standing in the center of a fountain. However, it wasn t a statue standing in the center of a fountain, but a small child on her knees leaning up against a wall. If this was not the worst bed bell dream a child receive as a gift, then the horror that came next to mind was told true. There was the taste of blueberries in her mouth that did nothing to help with the discomfort and had only added more sorrow to what she was now experiencing. Wherever this hot dark place was and where the tang of blueberry in her mouth came from, only the gods knew and she was too young to be recognized by them as one of their servants to ask those questions. This only added to the enormous mountain of confusion her mind was unsuccessfully trying to sort out. The last thing she remembered was of a wonderful bed bell dream gift, but it had suddenly turned dark and scary. Her mother and father both had tears in their eyes and her father more so of the two. She was chosen to go on a very important adventure, but she had to do so without him. Just the thought of doing something this important without her father felt terribly wrong. The elements the combine to form a danceculture include the origin, the music involved, and the classes of dancers. Breakdancing is a much newer style that has been around for less than a century. It originated in the 1970s in the Bronx, New York with the streets as a stage. Afrika Bambaataa was credited for forming one of the earliest dance crews entitles the Zulu Kings (From Street to Dance). They earned a reputation with their breakdancing circles, and then more people joined in, and from there, the style started to evolve. More well known groups such as the Rock Steady Crew of New York City helped in surging the popularity of breakdancing in low income communities and urban areas. • 13. The Pros And Cons Of Robots Are autonomous robots the warfare altering weapon of this generation? In order to answer this question there must be a clear definition of autonomous robots. An autonomous robot is a robot that can perform any action without any human assistance and once weaponized they become autonomous robotic weapons who act on their own. Knowing the current standing of autonomous robots, the limitations on them, and how easily they can cause an autonomous robotarms race one would see how a preemptive ban can protect the world. Although some would argue for the help these robots could provide, there would always be a threat of malfunction. Therefore banning all applications autonomous robots could protect the world from unnecessary deaths or increased future conflict. The current standing of autonomous robots is fairly controversial. There are numerous groups arguing over whether autonomous robots will help society or pave the way for a robot enforced martial law. One group against the use of autonomous robots is the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots which argues against the idea of anything other than a human being able to take a life (Goose Wareham, 2016,p. 32). This group sees autonomous robots as a threat to humanity ,due to how weaponized autonomous robotics could dehumanize the casualties they cause. While in contrast, the Department of Defense(DOD) is highly interested in the idea of autonomous weapons being able to help remove soldiers from war zones and lessen the number of ... Examples Of Medical Malpractice Medical Malpractice: Michael Chambers informs you about everything you need to know Medical malpractice is an example of negligence that may cause a severe personal injury or death. Precisely, medical malpractice denotes a legal offense that happens if a medical professional does not perform his or her duties properly due to negligence. As it has been pointed out before, the result of medical negligence is injury or death. Medical professionals include doctors, nurses, dentists, chiropractors, opticians, pharmacists etc. In Cyprus, medical malpractice is covered by the civil law (Cap.148). However, many times, a medical malpractice case in Cyprus considers a dispute over the standard of care . The term standard of care denotes the level of skill, expertise and care practiced by medical professionals under some particular circumstances. In Cyprus, standard of care is often determined through consultations from medical professionals who practice or teach medicine in the same specialty as the defendant. • 16. Example Of The Unsung Heros Some people view a hero as a man that saves a child from a burning building, or a man that stops the robber at the bank. Although they re not wrong a hero can be much more, most heros go unheard of and are not rewarded. On the other hand some heros do get noticed for their courageous acts and are rewarded with a medalor other objects that signified they have helped the world. The heros I want to show you are some of the unsung heros that did great things. I define a hero as being a self sacrificing, determined, and a brave ordinary person. Ever seen a hero sacrifice himself for others, if so this is probably a hero like John roberts who put his life on the line for the greater good. This section of hero usually results in the death of one man to save many. This example from Listverse.com about 1st Lieutenant John Robert in WW2 shows just that. Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient and Prince look a like 1st Lieutenant John Robert Fox was directing artillery fire in the Italian town of Sommocolonia to stall a German advance. While Fox was directing fire, a large German force moved in on his position.Realising that this force was a huge threat to his men, Fox called a final artillery strike on himself. When his men eventually retook the position, Fox s body was found next to approximately 100 dead German troops and a medal was placed neatly on his chest. This path was not easy, we had to face disillusionments, disappointments, sorrows, sacrifice outings and many times even friends and family, several times we wanted to throw in the towel and give up; but we did not, we rose up in the face of adversity, learned from them and went forward, because as Mario Benedetti says the glory is not in never falling, but rather on the times you may need to get up . • 19. The Impact Of Social Worker On Contemporary Society The role of a Social Worker in contemporary society has become a hot potato in today s social and political world. The speech presented by Michael Gove at the launch of the fast track Social Work training programme Frontline , proposes the age old debate surrounding the purpose of Social Workers. Gove (2013) addresses Social Workers to stop viewing individuals they work with as victims of social injustice , suggesting this robs individuals of their power of agency (Gove, 2013). All causation of behaviour is reduced to simply personal factors such as substance abuse, domestic violence and personal irresponsibility ; renouncing any possibility of economic and structural influences (Gove, 2013). This approach to Social Workhas been evident throughout the 19th Century, demonstrated through the work of Octavia Hill (Price and Simpson, 2007) and Mary Richmond (Kam, 2012). This individualistic approach presupposes that change should come from within the individual, encouraging Social Work to target these individual issues to strive for a overall better individual (Leighninger, 2008). Social Worker s adopt the role of a technician ; predominantly focusing on the best solution from the options they are given (Simpson and Connor, 2011). Although a technician can be invaluable within practice, this theory has been largely criticised as it can focus too heavily on the reductionist deficit model (Kam, 2012). Chief Justice Warren declared the Separate but Equal doctrine unconstitutional, thereby moving the nation one step closer to a more integrated society. However, despite Brown s monumental win for racial equality, it is undoubtedly obvious that the Court overstepped its boundaries in trying to push for progress. In Brown, the Court was unjustified in its actions to overrule Plessy v Ferguson (Plessy) (1896) and violated its constitutional limit in order to promote racial integration in public education. In order to fully examine the background and context in which Brown rose, we must examine Plessy. Plessy was heard in the Supreme... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Discussing the ambiguities of determining one s race proved irrelevant to this case for Plessy s race wasn t explicitly stated on the record (Urofsky, 186). Also, the altercation between the conductor and Plessy had nothing to do with the Conductor s ability to determine Plessy s race because it was Plessy who self identified as being colored (Urofsky, 186). Lastly, regarding the constitutionality of the Separate but Equal doctrine, Justice Brown believed racial separation to be different from racial subordination (Urofsky, 187). He explained that the feeling of inferiority solely derives from how Black Americans perceive the doctrine, and not from the actual doctrine itself (Urofsky 187). This decision in Plessy legitimized racial segregation and upheld the constitutionality of Louisiana s doctrine. By the time Brown rolled around, America was in dire need of a remedy caused by the aftermath of Plessy. Brown was a compilation of four similar cares, all dealing with the question of whether primary and secondary public school should be racially integrated. Segregation kept Black students from attending schools closer to home, sometimes forcing young kids to travel miles away from home to receive an education. Segregation was getting ridiculous to the point where White Southerners would build a completely new institutions, just to stop Black students from entering their schools (Urofsky, 279). One out every 691 babies born has Down syndrome, a disorder caused by an extra copy of the chromosome twenty one. In short, this syndrome shortens the person s life span, and causes assorted severity of mental retardation. Those carrying this extra chromosome have flattened noses, rounder faces, are petite in size, and are much more prone to additional unhealthy disturbances or effects on substantial systems in the body. One specific organ system Down syndrome affects is the cardiovascular system, the main system that pumps blood throughout the body and essentially manages the lunges. In this system, oxygen and other necessary nutrients are transported to cells of the body, carbon dioxide is transported to the lungs, and unnecessary residue is emitted to the kidney, where it is then excreted from the body. Additionally, the cardiovascular system plays a big role in homeostasis, the component of our bodies that keeps our internal environment at a constant, appropriate temperature, blood clotting and fighting infections. There are three main types of cells that help execute the operations of the cardiovascular system. The first are red blood cells. These cells, as mentioned earlier, carry oxygen to every part of the body, most importantly to the lungs to help us breath. Second, are white blood cells, which are essential for fighting infections. Nancy initially bought the car when Ford mentioned that the use of the vehicle is intended for suburban driving. The legal theories that she sued concluded with product liability, negligence, and breach of warranty claim. With product liability a manufacture is responsible and liable for defective products that results in injuries from using that product for its purpose, but the person has to prove that the product is defective. Bronco II had a low stability index attributable to its high center of gravity and relatively narrow track width. Ford argued that design features of which Nancy complained were necessary to the vehicle s off road capabilities. Ford stated that vehicle had been intended to be used as an off road vehicle and was not intended to be sold as a conventional passenger automobile. The negligence theory deals with whether Ford knew that the product was defective but sold it anyways. Breach of warranty claims deals with the warranty provided by the manufacture which it states that the vehicle is in great condition for its purpose, which is driving. Does the building seem to invite the viewer inside with elaborate carvings and an open view to the interior? In this light, the buildings can now be admired quite like a painting or a sculpture in respect to the composition and placement of key components that come together to make the glorified whole. One significant part of any building is its door. How the interior is transferred into the exterior is very important. Stepping through the doorway of a door is much like the thought of stepping between a portal in between two realms. One of the most graceful examples of this transition is illustrated through the Cathedral of Notre Dame of Paris north transept. A string of events and thoughts occurs to the viewer when approaching the gothic cathedral s northern transept. We see the gigantic faГ§ade of the Church. Curiosity invites us into the structure through the tremendous stained glass rose. We see the rose, darkened because of the absence of light not coming from the inside of the church. Automatically, the mind imagines the point of view one would have from inside the cathedral while witnessing the light pass through the beautifully colored glass. This was written because Mark Twain wrote something and a man told him that it was very similar to someone else s writing. The man showed him proof of it and Mark Twain realized that he had read poems written by another man before he had begun writing and accidentally stole this man s way of writing without realizing it. Freedom During The Gilded Age Freedom during the Gilded Age The meaning of freedom for black Americans have changed over time, during the Gilded Age Blacks definition of freedom was defined as a new social order still driven at the hope of an American society breaking free from the anti democratic restraints imposed by a corrupt government. This concept of freedom changed when WWII and the 1960 s Conservative Revolution started ,allowing blacks to reap the benefits of social, political and economic prosperities by having the right to choose and participate in part of the American society . The definition of freedom for black Americans rarely existed during the Gilded Age. Most blacks were still left in poverty looking for jobs that wouldn t bring them any prosperity out of urban ghettos or the discriminative south. The minority of workers that had freedom during the Second Industrial Revolution were skilled workers who demanded high wages and exercised considerable control over the industrial production process(mostly whites)(Foner 594). Do not overdo it, because that makes both sides of the relationships bored with the other. Other simple steps are to find movies to watch on TV and avoid spending unnecessary money. The progress can be tracked by how well the relationship works. If each side expresses happiness, then the solution is working; however, if the communication, or the lack of, leads to unhappiness, then the solution is not working and an intervention is needed. If they aren t stereotyped as insane, then the mentally ill are generally seen as awkward, violent, incompetent, or weird.
