Realism In Life In The Iron Mills
Life in the Iron Mills is a novella that is hard to classify as a specific genre. The genre that fits the
most into this novella is realism, because of the separation of classes, the hard work that a person has
to put into their every day life to try and make a difference, and the way society influences the actions
of people and their relationships. However, no matter what genre is specifically chosen, there will be
other genres present that contradict the genre of choice. While the novella shows romanticism,
naturalism, and realism, this essay is specifically centered around realism. The ultimate theme in
Rebecca Davis Life in the Iron Mills is the separation of classes and gender. It is the separation of
classes when the people in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She continues on to describe that the mill is divided into by shifts, a group of workers come in for a
while and work, and then another group comes in and relieves that group. The point of this quote is to
demonstrate that many people are unaware of what really goes on inside the mill, even though they
live in a manufacturing town. Davis goes into detail about what the mill is like. Fire in every horrible
form: pits of flame waving in the wind: liquid metal flames writhing in tortuous streams through the
sand; wide caldrons filled with boiling fire, over which bent ghastly wretches stirring the strange
brewing; and through all, crowds of half clad man, looking like revengeful ghosts in the red light,
hurried, throwing masses of glittering fire. It was like a street in Hell. (Davis 1225) It is important to
remember that the novella shows realism, but it also has a case of romanticism that backs up the
realism efforts. The romanticism is displayed through her descriptive view of the Mill, where most
that live in the manufacturing town do not realize how strenuous and horrid the working conditions
are like.
Hugh and Deborah have an interesting relationship, because of their interesting relationship it
exemplifies realism perfectly. Their relationship could be seen as a one sided deal, because of the way
Deb feels for Hugh, she is willing to do whatever she can to make him happy, even if that means
bringing him

The Importance Of Ability Grouping
Ability grouping is the practice of grouping children together according to their talents in the
classroom, but is it an efficient way to handle differences in students abilities? Does this grouping
benefit students or is it just unfairly labeling them? Research, logic, and emotion often clash when
questions such as these are asked. ( Is Ability Grouping ) Not only do opponents of ability grouping
say that ...It not only fails to benefit any student, but also that the program channels poor and minority
students to low tracks where they receive a lower quality of instruction than other groups and this they
claim contributes to the widening of achievement gaps ( NEA Research Spotlight ) Despite that fact,
there are some reasons why it could also be a good thing to have around as well, like that the practice
allows teachers to tailor the pace and content of instruction much better to students needs and, thus
improves student achievement. Also, teachers can provide needed repetition and reinforcement for low
achieving students and an advanced level of instruction to those who are higher achievers. Ability
grouping can also boost confidence, and each student who really needs the help can get the individual
attention they need. One example of why it could be a convenient strategy to use is that the teachers
have the ability to adjust the pace of instruction to students needs. Despite the fact that those against
this strategy of teaching ...question whether or not this

Taking a Look at Property Contractual Law
Q1. Citing case law (English or Irish), discuss three essential elements that should be complied with to
ensure that a tenant can properly exercise a break clause in a lease of a commercial property. (50
marks)
A1. A Break clause allows a tenant to terminate his/her lease early, usually subject to certain
conditions which allows the tenant to react to the market conditions if they want to upsize, downsize
or the property has just become unaffordable. However exercising a break clause can be tricky and
very risky because getting it wrong usually means losing the brake clause and then the lease continues
which can end up being more expensive than if you just continued the lease. Three essential elements
that are complied with to ensure that a tenant can properly exercise a break clause in the lease of a
commercial property are:
1. Is to include in the lease periodic break clause options to be exercised by the tenant only e.g. a
break in the year five, ten and fifteen of a twenty year lease.
2. In the event that the landlord either, (A) the tenant goes bankrupt or goes into receivership, (B) the
bank repossess or (C) a change of ownership that potently could cause conflict i.e. selling the property
to a competitor.
3. In the event where the landlord applies to fundamentally change the property or the planning e.g.
seeks to carry out major refurbishments that would cause disruption to trade.
Similar actions have arisen from the Irish courts with the case O Brien vs. BT

Analysis Of The Raven By Edgar Allan Poe
When Poe was 17, her father kept them apart. Edgar Allan Poe and Elmira rekindles things and was on
the verge to proposing. After receiving a poem from an old flame, Poe drops everything in Richmond
and flees. Things did not go as plan and Poe had a few more encounters with other women in the
meantime. Well Poe makes his way back to Elmira and manages to become reacquainted once again
(Schoell 112). Poe decides to propose again and have Maria Clemm witness it. However, Poe never
makes it back from his train ride. Poe had been a victim of cooping (Schoell 114). No one really
knows what happened to Poe during the six days he was missing. On October 3, 1849, he was found
in the gutter outside the Baltimore tavern (Schoell 115). He was barely conscious when found. He was
taken to the hospital and after slipping into a coma, he died on Sunday, October 7, 1849 (Schoell 115).
Poe is famous for his tales and poems of horror and mystery, including The Raven . Much of Poe s
work was inspired by the events that happened around him. Edgar Allan Poe s The Raven is a dark
reflection on lost love, death, and loss of hope. The poem examines the emotions of a young man who
has lost his lover to death and tries to distract himself from his sadness through books. The poem has a
dark, sinister and depressive atmosphere that also supports the gothic themed writing style, which was
popular in the period in which he lived. Although the poem received worldwide acknowledgement, he
did not gain much financial success, but it put his name out there and made him well known. In the
poem The Raven it presents two things, and that a grieving young man mourning over the lost of his
lover Lenore and then it presents the Raven, a bird that he hopes answers the questions that he can
help him in this troubled time. In the poem, The Raven it talks about a man that is up one late, late
night reading and trying to stop constantly thinking about the love his has loss. When he suddenly
hears a knock at his door. He calls out and no one answers and then he hears it again. He finally opens
the door to find no one standing there. So, the fact that he knows that he heard something at the door,
and then preceded to open it and find no one

Taking a Look at Politics in Thailand
Political chaos , protesting , turmoil , and crisis are all words that can be linked to Thailand in recent
weeks and on and off over the last eight years. From November 2013 until February 2014, there was
constant distress throughout the country relating to the current political system and the leaders of
Thailand. People were flooding the streets in Bangkok to protest the government or waving Thai flags
to show support of Thailand.
All across Thailand people were upset with the government and showing it by protesting in the capital
city of Bangkok. The reason for this unrest to spread through the country is an amnesty bill proposed
to the parliament of Thailand. This bill would allow the self exiled former, Prime Minister Thaksin to
return to Thailand without being punished for the crimes he had been charged of. The current Prime
Minister Yingluck is actually Thaksin s sister and many people feel she does whatever Thaksin asks
her to do. Thaksin was part of an extremely corrupt government and thousands of people were angered
when they heard that he could be allowed back into the country as a free man.
The role of the King of Thailand is important to understand the different priorities of the protesters.
The current King is beloved by all in Thailand and he is respected as much as the gods in their
religion. If anything bad is said about the King, the speaker can be given a jail sentence. The King
does actually have power, unlike the queen of England. As the

Self Identity Essay
There are numerous factors that either make up or restrain the self identity of a person or an
individual. Culture, in addition to family traditions, is one of the factors that affect the self identity of
an individual. When growing up, the environment around affect the personality, values, as well as,
beliefs of an individual. The environment includes friends, family members, and the people that affect
the life of an individual. So, if the environment is negative, then an individual will have low self
esteem. Moreover, as an individual grows up from being a child, they receive cultural values from the
family or the society around. There are questions raised on matters dealing with identity: Can an
individual choose his or her own ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The question is how do these issues affect self identity? It is certain that people could choose what to
do or wear, but what influenced these decisions? Scientific research has it that, beliefs, traits and
emotions can be factors inherited from parents through the DNA. The memory of an event
experienced by a grandparent could be passed through generations. This means that there exist certain
identity traits in the genes of an individual. Images of violence or shows that are less empowering
could have a certain negative amount of influence in self identity. A grown up also faces pressure from
family and community beliefs, which make them put on a different piece of identity from their own. A
theory known as the postmodern theory, explains that identity has become a mask put over an
individual, and not from within. The mask is created as a result of influence from external forces that
dictate what is right and what is wrong, or what is normal and accepted. The postmodern theory goes
ahead to stipulate that, as an individual, one creates a self identity through these external influences.
People do this so as to fit into the environment around them. In the United States, for example, there is
a tendency of consumer culture to influence the way most Americans think and make decisions.
Giddens has described that the lifestyle of an individual

Ted Leo Analysis
When one walks down the street and ten people cross one s path, at least one of those people could be
suffering from a mental illness that manifests itself as an eating disorder. It almost seems as though it s
too common, as though anyone could suffer from one of these ailments. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
sing the song Me and Mia, and it describes how anyone could suffer from an eating disorder and Ted
Leo s personal story in dealing with this mental illness. Ted Leo s sings these lyrics in the beginning of
the song And though, I must have looked half a person to tell the tale in my own version, it was o o

Ted Leo ends his song on an almost cliff hanger, leaving the listener to surmise that perhaps Ted Leos
struggle is not entirely over, that this mental illness is an ongoing battle. Ted Leo lends the listener an
emotional view into his world, his personal clash with eating disorders. He does this by referencing
these disorders in friendly terminology, explaining how his toxic relationship with them leaves him
feeling complete or whole. He also sings about the emotional and physical aspects of anguish that can
come with being controlled by and eating disorder as well as how social media can be a main driver of
these issues. Ted Leo manages to put a lot of emotion and ideals set into this song. He evokes a certain
feeling from the listener, and lets them experience what it s like to battle these demon like eating
disorders from his own perspective. Ted Leo is conclusively intertwined with eating disorders as he
has presented in the lyrics of this

The Break Up Analysis
Whether you eat a whole tub of chocolate ice cream while crying or you party like a rock star all
weekend while drinking, a break up is a break up. If you re the person who eats a whole tub of
chocolate ice cream, you probably accompanied it with romantic movies. Although they are
comforting for the time being, they always leave you to wonder, why didn t my break up didn t have a
happy ending like the ones in the movies? In Peyton Reed s 2006 romantic comedy, The Break Up, it
portrays the realistic events and feelings of a failed relationship. In comparison to other romantic
comedies, this film seems to stand out because it teaches the audience the lesson that not all break ups
leads to make ups.
In The Break Up, the main purpose is to show the realistic events of a toxic relationship between
Brooke (Jennifer Aniston) and Gary (Vince Vaughn). Brooke is a very classy art dealer and Gary, in
Brooke s eyes, is just a tour bus driver. The first scene shows how the couple met a Chicago Cubs
baseball game and Brooke was actually on a date with another man. The scene ended with Gary
asking her to go out sometime and the following scene is a slide show of all of Brooke and Gary s
pictures together, portraying that even perfect relationships have their own issues. The couple has a
big argument right off the bat in the third scene, Brooke feels neglected and unappreciated by Gary.
On the other hand Gary, feels that Brooke is controlling, a perfectionist, and he can never satisfied

Rhetorical Analysis For Global Warming
Global Warming is a huge problem for the environment. The earth s temperature has risen about 1
degree Fahrenheit since 1900 the temperatures are continuing to rise setting record temperature
(Biello). This image is a public service announcement to turn off lights because it is a cause to global
warming. In the image a penguin is pulling on a plug to turn out a light. This image evokes an
emotional response because it has a baby penguin looking scared behind its mom, while the ice they
are on is melting. It also illustrates a point that leaving lights on can cause global warming because it
states it in the text. The light shining on the penguins looks like it is melting the ice they are standing
on. I selected this image because it caught my eye and then made me read the text, which shows that it
is an effective PSA. I also think global warming is a problem and I did not know that leaving lights on
made such a big impact. This image can be analyzed by looking at the six rhetorical factors: character
and action, setting, point of view, use of color, special effects, and image presentation. First, the
characters and action in this advertisement make a large impact on this image. The penguins are
struggling and are fearful for their lives. The animal s facial expressions express how they are
distressed that the light is causing the ice they are standing on to melt. This displays how much of a
problem global warming is and how we should be more fearful of the impact it is making in the colder
climates. One sources states Specifically, more than two thirds of Antarctica s emperor penguin
colonies will decline by more than 50 percent by the end of the century under future climate change
scenarios (Palermo). This shows that global warming is truly hurting the penguins and many other
animals similar. The picture suggests an action to turn off lights to help reduce the pollution. Second,
the setting of the image takes place somewhere cold, which is the main area affected by global
warming. The penguins are standing on a block of ice symbolizing the Arctic and the block of ice is
melting. The Science Daily reports that ice melting rates were 25 times higher than expected in
localized areas of Antarctica s largest

Violence In Washington Irving s The Devil And Tom Walker
In the story, The Devil and Tom Walker, there is a humorous way of looking at serious topics.
Washington Irving shows his thoughts on these topics through the characters in this story. He attacks
ways of living and social ideas that he thinks people should live without. In this story, Irving criticizes
violence, greed, and false piety. Throughout The Devil and Tom Walker Washington Irving shows his
point of view on violence. One example of this is when the Irving is describing the Walkers
relationship. He described that in their relationship there was a lot of screaming and yelling. He also
said that Tom s face showed signs that their conflicts were not confined to words. (243) Irving says
that if a passerby was to see and hear this violence between them, the passerby would celebrate that he
was not in a relationship and that he was celibate. This addresses the issue of violence in a humorous
way; however, it shows Irving s beliefs about violence. His beliefs, as shown, are that violence is a
bad thing and that people should be happy if they can live without it. Throughout this story Irving
condemns greed. In the beginning of the story, Tom is characterized as a greedy man. One way this is
shown is when his wife is killed by the devil. She brought many valuable goods to try and make a deal
with the devil and she got into a fight and lost. When Tom found out about his wife he was more
concerned about the loss of the valuable goods that his wife. Another

Many students and parents believe that uniforms take away students right to express themselves.
Limits Expression,Reduces freedom. I understand that school uniforms reduce bullying. However,
uniforms in public schools are not a good idea. First, uniforms limit the freedom of expression, school
is supposed to be a place where ida s and thoughts flow freely. Second, uniforms can be expensive.
Short of getting corporate sponsors appropriate for schooling, parents would have to pay for the
uniforms which can be cost prohibitive for some families. I believe that school uniforms don t reduce
bullying. Anyway, some kids have to wear

Beethoven s Violin Concerto
Ludwig van Beethoven is considered one of the greatest and most influential composers in the history
of music. His Violin Concerto in D Major has been played by nearly every soloist in the past 150 years
and, today, it is one of the major works in violin repertoire. Since its premiere by Franz Clement in the
winter of 1806, many aspects of the violin, bow, and performance have undergone changes. This paper
discusses the modern day knowledge of Beethoven s Violin Concerto, and how it is influencing the
way violinists interpret and perform the concerto. It also points out some of the different performance
styles starting from Clement s time to the present day. Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 1827) was born

Joachim also composed two cadenzas for the concerto, but most players today choose the Viennese
violinist Fritz Kreisler s cadenzas from the 1920 s.8 When Beethoven was writing the Violin
Concerto, orchestral instruments were very similar to those used in Haydn s and Mozart s time.9
During the 19th century, violin luthiers were trying to recreate Italian Stradivari and Guarneri models,
including the most famous luthier in Germany during Beethoven s time. Rode, Kruetzer, Baillot, all
alive during Beethoven s time period, were known to play on Stradivarius violins, with pernambuco
wood bows that were of the Tourte style.10 François Tourte was the most innovative bow maker of all
times, and he invented the modern bow, which produced a bigger sound, and allowed for a new galaxy
of bow techniques. All subsequent bows have been variations of the Tourte style. Violins during
Beethoven s time used gut strings, made from sheep or goat intestines. It produced a softer, darker
sound than that of modern strings made of metal and synthetic materials, introduced around the third
quarter of the 19th century. Other changes to the violin after Beethoven s time include the use of the
chin and shoulder rests, which were created by the violinist Louis Spohr (1784 1859). The chin rest
lifts the the chin above the violin, so that it does not have to touch the violin top, allowing it resonate
better with less damping.11 Many of the

Accounting is defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as the art of
recording, classifying, and summarizing in a significant manner and in terms of money, transactions
and events which are, in part at least, of financial character, and interpreting the results thereof.
Accounting is thousands of years old; the earliest accounting records, which date back more than
7,000 years, were found in Mesopotamia (Assyrians). The people of that time relied on primitive
accounting methods to record the growth of crops and herds. Accounting evolved, improving over the

because he was phrontistes (Koine Greek: manager) of the estate which had a complex and standarised

sub division of the estate drew up his own little accounts, for the day to day running of the estate,
payment of the workforce, production of crops, the sale of produce, the use of animals, and general
expenditure on the staff. This information was then summarized as pieces of papyrus scroll into one

cash expenses and gains extrapolated from all the different sectors. Accounts of this kind gave the

AngloSaxon Language Nearly all knowledge of the English language before the seventh century is

continuous process, the development of the English language began in England around the year 449
with the arrival of several Germanic tribes including: the Angles, the Saxons, and the Jutes (1, p.49).
English, like all other languages, is subject to constant growth and decay (1). Many of the political and

Late into this period many linguistic changes began to occur (3, p472). The customary usage of

English (ME), the second stage of the development of English (3, p723).
Middle English was spoken from 1100 1500 during the late Middle Ages (2, p3 of 4). After the
Norman Invasion, a French speaking people occupied England (2, p3 of 4). Both the natural evolution
of language and the French influence brought significant changes in the speech of the natives (2,
p3of4). More far reaching, however, were the borrowings,... from French, that transformed English
from an almost wholly Germanic language to a language of mixed Germanic Romance composition
(3, p473). In ME almost every aspect of OE changed considerably (3, p473). Many OE words fell
completely out of use (3, p658). But three main features of ME greatly contrasted with OE: There was
a greatly increased borrowing from other languages, such as, French and Latin; the system of
grammatical inflections was notably reduced: and the orthography of the language became highly
varied and unstable (3, p657). Despite all these changes, there was still no uniform way of writing
ME. Many aspects of ME varied greatly from place to place, person to person, and period to

There is one instance that lightning strikes ceased to occur from January to March 2010 that
temporarily raised fears of the phenomenon being extinguished permanently but was later found out
that it was drought that caused it. Humidity in a sense may have played a vital role in the occurrence
but scientists lately say that maybe it s the region s wind patterns and unique topography that
contribute to the special phenomenon. They say that when warm winds, trapped by the surrounding
mountains in Lake Maracaibo, collides with cool air coming down from the Andes mountains, they are
forced to condense, thus creating thunderclouds.
A lot of the (lightning) hot spots are tied to features in the terrain slopes of mountain ranges, curved
coastlines, combinations of those, Dr Daniel Cecil from the Global Hydrology and Climate Centre s
lightning team told the BBC.
Having irregularities like that in the terrain can help generate wind patterns and heating or cooling
patterns that would boost the likelihood of thunderstorms.
Considering the incredible amount of lightning strikes, one may wonder if those are some kind of
extra special lightning of sort but according to studies, those lightning bolts is the same with every

Essay about Belonging
An individual s interaction with others and the world around them can enrich or limit their experience

The foundation for an individual s sense of belonging is often determined by the quality of
relationships forged with others and their immersion within the wider community. As a result, these
relationships have the ability to enhance an individual s connection with others and personal identity,

The Influence Of Loyalty In The Novel Ship Breaker
The dictionary defines the word loyalty as a strong feeling of support or allegiance. Schools across the
nation stand every morning, put their hands on their hearts and pledge their loyalty to their country.
The novel Ship Breaker is about a young boy named Nailer who works to break ships apart in a
futuristic society. His mom died and his father, Richard, became an addict leaving them very poor and
reliant on Nailer s income. One day, Nailer is walking the beach with his friend Pima recovering
supplies after a hurricane, there they find a massive clipper ship with one survivor inside. The girl
inside, Nita, was fleeing capture from her family s enemies and shipwrecked. Soon after, Richard
Lopez and his crew found Nailer, Nita, and Pima and captured them, planning to sell Nita to her
enemies. With a stroke of luck, the three manage to escape from Richard. Nailer and Nita fled to New
Orleans with an unfaithful member of Lopez s crew. While in Orleans, the trio finds work, allies, and
an escape from Nita s enemies. Then, Nita is captured by the enemy who has allied with Richard
Lopez. In response, Nailer set out on the clipper ship of his dreams to find her, and unknowingly, to
find himself. True loyalty doesn t come with any ties, it is unconditional and without hesitation. In
Paolo Baciagalupi s Science Fiction book Ship Breaker, use of symbolism and conflict tell the story of

Romeo And Juliet Comparison Essay
William Shakespeare s famous Romeo and Juliet was reinvented in 1996 as Romeo + Juliet and was
directed by Baz Luhrmann. Luhrmann s interpretation has turned Shakespeare s traditional tale of a
tragic love story into a modern and urbanised 20th century version. Luhrmann s adaptation keeps the
classic story of Romeo and Juliet true. This is seen by still having the constant feud between the
Montague and Capulet family and the countless tragedies, yet Luhrmann adds a 20th century twist by
using guns instead of swords and replacing horses with cars. The main characters remain as Romeo
and Juliet, although there is a greater focus on them than their parents. The events take place in
Verona, however, it is at Verona Beach in Florida, not Italy. All of Luhrmann s alterations to the

In the text the script is very lengthy and descriptive. Luhrmann has strategically pulled out the most
powerful and key lines to emphasise the desperation for escape Juliet is looking for. In the text Juliet
comes across as calm, defeated and longing for help, although in the movie she is violent and
extremely snappy. This is seen when she puts a gun to her heads and screams to Friar, I LONG TO
DIE! Juliet is depicted as stuck up and sassy in the text however is obedient at first and somewhat
aggressive as the scene progresses throughout the movie. Baz Luhrmann uses soft, creepy yet holy
music throughout the scene and when Juliet raises the gun the music gets louder and reaches its
climax. Juliet is dressed in dark colours, portraying how depressed she is feeling. This shows contrast
as she is usually dressed in white, representing her purity. In Baz Luhrmann s interpretation he stays

On my Google site, I have provided a summative Year 8 Examination for the topic Views and

task for EDFD307: Educational Assessment was to design an end of topic or mid year examination to
assess my students achievement of the syllabus outcomes in the unit of work, which was (Stage 4,
Year 8) View and Perspectives. The examination needed to draw upon students work and experience

demonstrated how the questions, syllabus outcomes and the major components of the unit were
integrated.
The examination was a 60 minutes test with 10 minutes reading time. The first section of the

Arm Chair Lineman Research Paper
On any given Sunday, America has tens of thousands of arm chair quarterbacks sitting in their living
rooms calling the shots for the NFL teams of their choice, but the arm chair lineman is basically
unheard of. An effective offensive line is crucial to the success of any football team. Without a
working line, many quarterbacks and running backs would not have the successful careers they now
possess. The left tackle is the second highest paid player in the NFL, according to an article in the
magazine Bleacher Report (Salman, 2008). The exorbitant salary received by left tackles illustrates the
organization s understanding of the necessity for a powerful offensive line. The work of the offensive
line is to provide protection and create time for other players to make decisions and follow through

then the quarterback will be sacked for a loss of yards, or he will make a bad decision and throw an

Budget Plan
Introduction Over the past month, we were given out an assignment to create a budget plan for a given
possible situation in our future. We had a gross yearly income of $43000 (or a monthly one of
$3583.33) and were given a series of categories that we would have to budget the expenses for. After
finishing the project, we had to answer a series of questions reflecting on our experiences and
learning. I thoroughly enjoyed this project, and found it genuinely eye opening.
Savings
At the end of the budget plan, I had $869.34 left for savings. After comparing this to the numbers of
some other students in class, I believe that I did well in my goal to have a good amount of money left
over. I understand that having money to be able to set away is extremely important, whether it goes to
saving for a larger purchase, or simply for the future. According to my budget, I was currently living

I was not expecting the cost of Food to be so high, weekly or monthly. I ended up cutting down my
grocery list slightly, and I was stunned with how quickly the price shot up. Secondly, I found the costs
of everyday furniture items to be surprisingly expensive. The fact that even the most basic couches
were over $400 and the simplest table sets were over $500 was very intimidating. Even if I managed
to find some items at cheaper prices and on sale, I was still shocked to see that the total was almost
$1000 more than my monthly income. I believe the most valuable lesson I learned was that we live in
a very expensive world, and that almost everything is more expensive than you would believe. This
leads to the lesson that you need to have a budget plan to minimize and control your expenses, as you
could spend more than you are able to very easily. Costs are higher than you expect most of the time,
so you really need to monitor your spending, as it adds up

Romantic Impact On Napoleon
Napoleon Bonaparte and the wars he fought against Great Britain, the conveniently named Napoleonic
Wars had a lasting and profound impact on British citizens and society. Napoleon for a brief period
had transformed a nation of anarchy and instability into the most powerful empire in Europe and
posed a serious threat to Britain s perceived dominance and invulnerability. The fear of a Napoleonic
invasion spread across Britain, an event that had it been realised may have been welcomed by many
within the nation. The French general turned emperor was unquestionably the British governments
most imposing enemy but there were many individual Britons who held Napoleon in much higher
esteem than their own monarch/Regent. The British nation was divided ... Show more content on

He notes that the Lake poets originally revered Napoleon but as the wars continued they became
increasingly conservative and critical of him. He recalls that William Wordsworth s primary reason for
his disillusionment with Napoleon was his 1804 coronation, other Romantics such as Samuel Taylor
Coleridge however, were not so clear about their reasons for resenting Napoleon and Stock states that
this inability to decide upon a definitive opinion characterizes the Romantic understanding of
Bonaparte because the transition from reverence to hatred was so extreme and unexpected. Like
radicals and loyalists, the Romantics also offered different interpretations of Napoleon in their works
especially on the concept of his humanity . Coleridge, Walter Scott and Robert Southey believed
Napoleon to be an innovative politician and therefore, very human, while Percy Bysshe Shelley too
regarded Napoleon as human but believed his political genius was a fallacy as he merely reverted
France back to monarchy; whereas Lord Byron considered Napoleon to be a metaphysical being.
Stock states that the Romantics also make quite extensive use of Satan when interpreting Napoleon
and Coleridge and Scott classify him as evil incarnate to the point where they desire his death. Stock
argues that some Roamntics such as William Hazlitt used the Satanic image of Napoleon to personify
him as a revolutionary figure inverting political norms. Despite previously denigrating him as a mere
politician, Coleridge too personifies Napoleon as a presence rather than a human being and Stock
states Hazlitt celebrates Napoleon as an Idea not an

Rappaccini s Daughter is a story set in the mid nineteenth century in Padua, Italy, a country well

Symbols are items that represent other meanings. The fountain is symbolic of knowledge and wisdom,
and the water that gushed out represents life and the spirit. This fountain is comparable to the fountain
in The House of Seven Gables that was set round with a rim of old mossy stones, and paved, in its
bed, with what appeared to be a sort of mosaic work of variously colored pebbles (Hawthorne 4). The
garden is similar to the Pyncheon garden in Nathaniel Hawthorne s The House of Seven Gables that
had blossoming flowers. The archetypal pattern of this garden recalls the Garden of Eden (Davis 6) as
described in Genesis, out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the

flowering shrub which is a perverted flower of Eden bore a likeness to one particular variety of
flowers which bore a vivid scarlet blossom (Hawthorne 2) in the Pyncheon garden. The love it
symbolizes is flawed by the general imperfection found in all of Adam s descendants (Kloeckner 330).

Fa Mu Lan No Name Woman
The No Name Woman is a failure in Chinese society, but starkly contrasted by the success and
fulfillment of traditional expectations demonstrated in the woman warrior, Fa Mu Lan. In the second
section of Kingston s account, White Tiger, the author controversially develops her own retelling of
this famous myth with herself as the legendary Chinese figure. Kingston initiates this section stating,
when we Chinese girls listened to the adults talk story, we learned that we failed if we grew up to be
but wives or slaves (Kingston 19). The words of her elders engrained in Kingston and her female
peers their place of women, enslaved to their husbands and bound to housework. Yet Kingston does
not accept this reality and instead plunges into a powerful tale of a female who not only overcomes
gender roles but is the champion of the entire Chinese nation. Fa Mu Lan is a swordswoman, who
utilizes her physical and magical training to cause social justice. Despite her occupations with valor
and justice, however, Kingston s character also finds time to nurture a child and attend the domestic
duties traditionally assigned to women, a challenge to ancient stereotypes and an affirmation of
modern ideas of women balancing families with their careers. Similarly, the weapons Kingston yields
are her words and the truth of her experience she artfully relates.

Will ProCurve be able to thrive under the umbrella of TSG? Or should it stand on its own within HP?
Present the pros and cons of each option and then make a decision.
I believe that putting it with TSG is the best that they have done for it, but they should put it on its
own. If you look at Cisco and 3com, they show you how much potential the market has and how much
ProCurve has of that market. ProCurve should stand on its own to be able to better monitor and to give
the person responsible for it his full focus. The pros of being a stand alone are: full focus from the
management on ProCurve products, separate sales team, marketing team, R amp;D, etc., more
entrepreneurial sprit. The Cons are that HP would compare it to all the other larger departments and if
it didn t perform as high as they did, they might sell it like they previously were planning to do. The
pros of being under TSG is that ProCurve will not be compared to other departments, but rather the
whole TSG will be, this will show more revenue from that department and if ProCurve didn t perform
as well, it can be covered by other revenues. TSG can allocate more things to ProCurve faster and
decisions can be done faster and on a smaller scale. The cons of being under TSG are that TSG can
allocate things different and not really give ProCurve the attention it needs to grow to its potential,

story starts in the year 2017 when I decided to follow up on my dream and go to a far away land,
called the United States of America. My journey is full of new surprises and discoveries of a world so
different from the one I am leaving behind, with its own beliefs and culture. This is the story of an
eighteen year boy and his first encounter with a new society, his first time away from home and
family. It was not an easy decision moving to a different country, leaving behind everything and
everybody, but I had the anxiety of traveling and seeing this new world that I had seen only in the
movies, the land of Christopher Columbus, where Indians and African Americans lived unified on a
vast territory. I still remember the feeling when my parents said that we are moving to America. It was
the time when I felt everything around the world had been stopped, and I did not know what I should
do next. I was unable to decide whether life was making me move forward or it would cause me to
face more trouble than achievement. I was amazed by looking at the Diversity of people. I knew that
there were drastic changes which would be arising in my life which I seemed that it was hard to
digest, but it seemed that the USA absorbs everyone in their colors and culture so was I, in the

Estrogen Levels
Home
All men experience a drop in their levels of testosterone as they age. This usually begins as soon as
they are in their early 30 s. And though aging is nothing to fear, this natural diminishing of the
hormone causes unwanted side effects that can affect a man s fertility, sexuality, and health. This is
because low testosterone levels can lead to estrogen dominance in a man, and a hormone imbalance is
created. But to raise the testosterone levels, one must also lower the estrogen levels. Because of this,
some men are starting to use a natural anti estrogen product to help them regain their sense of
masculinity, so they look and feel younger.

Answer: There are many estroblockers available on the market. They all have different ingredients and
attributes that make them. To find the best one for you, do some research on each of them. But be sure
to only take the natural based kind because other pharmaceutical types can have some dangerous side
effects to them.
Question: Will changes to my estrogen levels affect my fertility?
Answer: Too much estrogen in a man s body decreases his sperm count and can also cause impotence
or difficulty performing sexually. By lowering high levels of estrogen, these negative effects are
reversed, so a man s fertility is improved.
Question: Will lowering my estrogen help with my acne?
Answer: Acne can be caused by an imbalance of hormones in the body, so by correcting this
imbalance, many men will find that their skin becomes clearer. However, initially there might be an
increase in acne until the hormones level out. Keeping the skin clean and free from oil and dirt will
also help to reduce blemishes though.

Social Media Should Be Regulated Essay
SOCIAL MEDIA SHOULD BE REGULATED ABSTRACT As social media becomes a heavy
influence in our online presence, certain elements need to be policed, as laws can still be broken. This
is an insight into if social media, more specifically social networking sites, can be regulated to avoid
recent spates of trolling or whether it only serves to strip people of freedom to speech.

However other social media platforms such as Formspring and Twitter allow users to remain
anonymous, bar the IP addresses stored on their servers. This allows users to hid behind their

to choose from, anyone with intent can use this to their advantage. Twitter accounts have been used to

lack of judicial independence, and the judiciary s limited enforcement powers (Rosenberg 2008, pg.
35). Following these two major cases and their impact, Rosenberg looks briefly at several other Court
decisions involving women s rights, the environment, and criminal rights. In all of these, he finds that
his middle of the road view seems to best explain the impact of the Court s decisions (Rosenberg
2008, pg. 420). He also argues that in these areas, especially women s rights and environmental issues,
that the reliance on the courts as opposed to political activism may have actually harmed these causes.
In Rosenberg s view these constraints are seldom overcome, and thus courts are generally ineffective
in producing major social change, but he allows for the possibility that these constraints may be
overcome under some conditions. The constraints are overcome when there is ample legal precedent
for change, when there is support for legal change from substantial amount of the political and private
elite, when there is either strong support or weak opposition from the public, and when certain
conditions otherwise support compliance with the judicial

  • 2. Realism In Life In The Iron Mills Life in the Iron Mills is a novella that is hard to classify as a specific genre. The genre that fits the most into this novella is realism, because of the separation of classes, the hard work that a person has to put into their every day life to try and make a difference, and the way society influences the actions of people and their relationships. However, no matter what genre is specifically chosen, there will be other genres present that contradict the genre of choice. While the novella shows romanticism, naturalism, and realism, this essay is specifically centered around realism. The ultimate theme in Rebecca Davis Life in the Iron Mills is the separation of classes and gender. It is the separation of classes when the people in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She continues on to describe that the mill is divided into by shifts, a group of workers come in for a while and work, and then another group comes in and relieves that group. The point of this quote is to demonstrate that many people are unaware of what really goes on inside the mill, even though they live in a manufacturing town. Davis goes into detail about what the mill is like. Fire in every horrible form: pits of flame waving in the wind: liquid metal flames writhing in tortuous streams through the sand; wide caldrons filled with boiling fire, over which bent ghastly wretches stirring the strange brewing; and through all, crowds of half clad man, looking like revengeful ghosts in the red light, hurried, throwing masses of glittering fire. It was like a street in Hell. (Davis 1225) It is important to remember that the novella shows realism, but it also has a case of romanticism that backs up the realism efforts. The romanticism is displayed through her descriptive view of the Mill, where most that live in the manufacturing town do not realize how strenuous and horrid the working conditions are like. Hugh and Deborah have an interesting relationship, because of their interesting relationship it exemplifies realism perfectly. Their relationship could be seen as a one sided deal, because of the way Deb feels for Hugh, she is willing to do whatever she can to make him happy, even if that means bringing him ... • 3. The Importance Of Ability Grouping Ability grouping is the practice of grouping children together according to their talents in the classroom, but is it an efficient way to handle differences in students abilities? Does this grouping benefit students or is it just unfairly labeling them? Research, logic, and emotion often clash when questions such as these are asked. ( Is Ability Grouping ) Not only do opponents of ability grouping say that ...It not only fails to benefit any student, but also that the program channels poor and minority students to low tracks where they receive a lower quality of instruction than other groups and this they claim contributes to the widening of achievement gaps ( NEA Research Spotlight ) Despite that fact, there are some reasons why it could also be a good thing to have around as well, like that the practice allows teachers to tailor the pace and content of instruction much better to students needs and, thus improves student achievement. Also, teachers can provide needed repetition and reinforcement for low achieving students and an advanced level of instruction to those who are higher achievers. Ability grouping can also boost confidence, and each student who really needs the help can get the individual attention they need. One example of why it could be a convenient strategy to use is that the teachers have the ability to adjust the pace of instruction to students needs. • 4. Taking a Look at Property Contractual Law Q1. Citing case law (English or Irish), discuss three essential elements that should be complied with to ensure that a tenant can properly exercise a break clause in a lease of a commercial property. (50 marks) A1. A Break clause allows a tenant to terminate his/her lease early, usually subject to certain conditions which allows the tenant to react to the market conditions if they want to upsize, downsize or the property has just become unaffordable. However exercising a break clause can be tricky and very risky because getting it wrong usually means losing the brake clause and then the lease continues which can end up being more expensive than if you just continued the lease. Three essential elements that are complied with to ensure that a tenant can properly exercise a break clause in the lease of a commercial property are: 1. Is to include in the lease periodic break clause options to be exercised by the tenant only e.g. a break in the year five, ten and fifteen of a twenty year lease. 2. In the event that the landlord either, (A) the tenant goes bankrupt or goes into receivership, (B) the bank repossess or (C) a change of ownership that potently could cause conflict i.e. selling the property to a competitor. 3. In the event where the landlord applies to fundamentally change the property or the planning e.g. seeks to carry out major refurbishments that would cause disruption to trade. Similar actions have arisen from the Irish courts with the case O Brien vs. BT ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Analysis Of The Raven By Edgar Allan Poe When Poe was 17, her father kept them apart. Edgar Allan Poe and Elmira rekindles things and was on the verge to proposing. After receiving a poem from an old flame, Poe drops everything in Richmond and flees. Things did not go as plan and Poe had a few more encounters with other women in the meantime. Well Poe makes his way back to Elmira and manages to become reacquainted once again (Schoell 112). Poe decides to propose again and have Maria Clemm witness it. However, Poe never makes it back from his train ride. Poe had been a victim of cooping (Schoell 114). No one really knows what happened to Poe during the six days he was missing. On October 3, 1849, he was found in the gutter outside the Baltimore tavern (Schoell 115). He was barely conscious when found. He was taken to the hospital and after slipping into a coma, he died on Sunday, October 7, 1849 (Schoell 115). Poe is famous for his tales and poems of horror and mystery, including The Raven . Much of Poe s work was inspired by the events that happened around him. Edgar Allan Poe s The Raven is a dark reflection on lost love, death, and loss of hope. The poem examines the emotions of a young man who has lost his lover to death and tries to distract himself from his sadness through books. The poem has a dark, sinister and depressive atmosphere that also supports the gothic themed writing style, which was popular in the period in which he lived. Although the poem received worldwide acknowledgement, he did not gain much financial success, but it put his name out there and made him well known. • 6. Taking a Look at Politics in Thailand Political chaos , protesting , turmoil , and crisis are all words that can be linked to Thailand in recent weeks and on and off over the last eight years. From November 2013 until February 2014, there was constant distress throughout the country relating to the current political system and the leaders of Thailand. People were flooding the streets in Bangkok to protest the government or waving Thai flags to show support of Thailand. All across Thailand people were upset with the government and showing it by protesting in the capital city of Bangkok. The reason for this unrest to spread through the country is an amnesty bill proposed to the parliament of Thailand. This bill would allow the self exiled former, Prime Minister Thaksin to return to Thailand without being punished for the crimes he had been charged of. The current Prime Minister Yingluck is actually Thaksin s sister and many people feel she does whatever Thaksin asks her to do. Thaksin was part of an extremely corrupt government and thousands of people were angered when they heard that he could be allowed back into the country as a free man. The role of the King of Thailand is important to understand the different priorities of the protesters. The current King is beloved by all in Thailand and he is respected as much as the gods in their religion. If anything bad is said about the King, the speaker can be given a jail sentence. The question is how do these issues affect self identity? It is certain that people could choose what to do or wear, but what influenced these decisions? Scientific research has it that, beliefs, traits and emotions can be factors inherited from parents through the DNA. The memory of an event experienced by a grandparent could be passed through generations. This means that there exist certain identity traits in the genes of an individual. Images of violence or shows that are less empowering could have a certain negative amount of influence in self identity. A grown up also faces pressure from family and community beliefs, which make them put on a different piece of identity from their own. A theory known as the postmodern theory, explains that identity has become a mask put over an individual, and not from within. The mask is created as a result of influence from external forces that dictate what is right and what is wrong, or what is normal and accepted. The postmodern theory goes ahead to stipulate that, as an individual, one creates a self identity through these external influences. People do this so as to fit into the environment around them. In the United States, for example, there is a tendency of consumer culture to influence the way most Americans think and make decisions. Giddens has described that the lifestyle of an individual ... The earth s temperature has risen about 1 degree Fahrenheit since 1900 the temperatures are continuing to rise setting record temperature (Biello). This image is a public service announcement to turn off lights because it is a cause to global warming. In the image a penguin is pulling on a plug to turn out a light. This image evokes an emotional response because it has a baby penguin looking scared behind its mom, while the ice they are on is melting. It also illustrates a point that leaving lights on can cause global warming because it states it in the text. The light shining on the penguins looks like it is melting the ice they are standing on. I selected this image because it caught my eye and then made me read the text, which shows that it is an effective PSA. I also think global warming is a problem and I did not know that leaving lights on made such a big impact. This image can be analyzed by looking at the six rhetorical factors: character and action, setting, point of view, use of color, special effects, and image presentation. First, the characters and action in this advertisement make a large impact on this image. The penguins are struggling and are fearful for their lives. The animal s facial expressions express how they are distressed that the light is causing the ice they are standing on to melt. This displays how much of a problem global warming is and how we should be more fearful of the impact it is making in the colder climates. One sources states Specifically, more than two thirds of Antarctica s emperor penguin colonies will decline by more than 50 percent by the end of the century under future climate change scenarios (Palermo). This shows that global warming is truly hurting the penguins and many other animals similar. The picture suggests an action to turn off lights to help reduce the pollution. Second, the setting of the image takes place somewhere cold, which is the main area affected by global warming. The penguins are standing on a block of ice symbolizing the Arctic and the block of ice is melting. The Science Daily reports that ice melting rates were 25 times higher than expected in localized areas of Antarctica s largest ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Washington Irving shows his thoughts on these topics through the characters in this story. He attacks ways of living and social ideas that he thinks people should live without. In this story, Irving criticizes violence, greed, and false piety. Throughout The Devil and Tom Walker Washington Irving shows his point of view on violence. One example of this is when the Irving is describing the Walkers relationship. He described that in their relationship there was a lot of screaming and yelling. He also said that Tom s face showed signs that their conflicts were not confined to words. (243) Irving says that if a passerby was to see and hear this violence between them, the passerby would celebrate that he was not in a relationship and that he was celibate. This addresses the issue of violence in a humorous way; however, it shows Irving s beliefs about violence. His beliefs, as shown, are that violence is a bad thing and that people should be happy if they can live without it. Throughout this story Irving condemns greed. In the beginning of the story, Tom is characterized as a greedy man. One way this is shown is when his wife is killed by the devil. Rode, Kruetzer, Baillot, all alive during Beethoven s time period, were known to play on Stradivarius violins, with pernambuco wood bows that were of the Tourte style.10 François Tourte was the most innovative bow maker of all times, and he invented the modern bow, which produced a bigger sound, and allowed for a new galaxy of bow techniques. All subsequent bows have been variations of the Tourte style. Violins during Beethoven s time used gut strings, made from sheep or goat intestines. It produced a softer, darker sound than that of modern strings made of metal and synthetic materials, introduced around the third quarter of the 19th century. Other changes to the violin after Beethoven s time include the use of the chin and shoulder rests, which were created by the violinist Louis Spohr (1784 1859). If the offensive line does not block, then the quarterback will be sacked for a loss of yards, or he will make a bad decision and throw an interception, thus resulting in a loss of possession or, even worse, a pick six, which is a touchdown for the opposing team. If the offensive line does their jobs correctly, big plays are guaranteed to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. Budget Plan Introduction Over the past month, we were given out an assignment to create a budget plan for a given possible situation in our future. We had a gross yearly income of $43000 (or a monthly one of $3583.33) and were given a series of categories that we would have to budget the expenses for. After finishing the project, we had to answer a series of questions reflecting on our experiences and learning. I thoroughly enjoyed this project, and found it genuinely eye opening. Savings At the end of the budget plan, I had $869.34 left for savings. After comparing this to the numbers of some other students in class, I believe that I did well in my goal to have a good amount of money left over. I understand that having money to be able to set away is extremely important, whether it goes to saving for a larger purchase, or simply for the future. According to my budget, I was currently living in a one bedroom apartment, which is typically something ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I was not expecting the cost of Food to be so high, weekly or monthly. I ended up cutting down my grocery list slightly, and I was stunned with how quickly the price shot up. Secondly, I found the costs of everyday furniture items to be surprisingly expensive. The fact that even the most basic couches were over $400 and the simplest table sets were over $500 was very intimidating. Even if I managed to find some items at cheaper prices and on sale, I was still shocked to see that the total was almost $1000 more than my monthly income. I believe the most valuable lesson I learned was that we live in a very expensive world, and that almost everything is more expensive than you would believe. This leads to the lesson that you need to have a budget plan to minimize and control your expenses, as you could spend more than you are able to very easily. Costs are higher than you expect most of the time, so you really need to monitor your spending, as it adds up ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 27. Romantic Impact On Napoleon Napoleon Bonaparte and the wars he fought against Great Britain, the conveniently named Napoleonic Wars had a lasting and profound impact on British citizens and society. Napoleon for a brief period had transformed a nation of anarchy and instability into the most powerful empire in Europe and posed a serious threat to Britain s perceived dominance and invulnerability. The fear of a Napoleonic invasion spread across Britain, an event that had it been realised may have been welcomed by many within the nation. The French general turned emperor was unquestionably the British governments most imposing enemy but there were many individual Britons who held Napoleon in much higher esteem than their own monarch/Regent. The British nation was divided ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He notes that the Lake poets originally revered Napoleon but as the wars continued they became increasingly conservative and critical of him. He recalls that William Wordsworth s primary reason for his disillusionment with Napoleon was his 1804 coronation, other Romantics such as Samuel Taylor Coleridge however, were not so clear about their reasons for resenting Napoleon and Stock states that this inability to decide upon a definitive opinion characterizes the Romantic understanding of Bonaparte because the transition from reverence to hatred was so extreme and unexpected. Like radicals and loyalists, the Romantics also offered different interpretations of Napoleon in their works especially on the concept of his humanity . Coleridge, Walter Scott and Robert Southey believed Napoleon to be an innovative politician and therefore, very human, while Percy Bysshe Shelley too regarded Napoleon as human but believed his political genius was a fallacy as he merely reverted France back to monarchy; whereas Lord Byron considered Napoleon to be a metaphysical being. Stock states that the Romantics also make quite extensive use of Satan when interpreting Napoleon and Coleridge and Scott classify him as evil incarnate to the point where they desire his death. Stock argues that some Roamntics such as William Hazlitt used the Satanic image of Napoleon to personify him as a revolutionary figure inverting political norms. Despite previously denigrating him as a mere politician, Coleridge too personifies Napoleon as a presence rather than a human being and Stock states Hazlitt celebrates Napoleon as an Idea not an ... How structurally attractive is it? The online personals market is a specific niche of social networking, and it is a sole sponsor, proprietary platform business. In terms of network effects, it could be seen as a one sided network (users can instigate an interaction, or can have someone else instigate an interaction with them), but is better described as a two sided market with men on one side, and women on the other (with the exception of homosexual sites which are clearly one sided markets). Symbols are items that represent other meanings. The fountain is symbolic of knowledge and wisdom, and the water that gushed out represents life and the spirit. This fountain is comparable to the fountain in The House of Seven Gables that was set round with a rim of old mossy stones, and paved, in its bed, with what appeared to be a sort of mosaic work of variously colored pebbles (Hawthorne 4). The garden is similar to the Pyncheon garden in Nathaniel Hawthorne s The House of Seven Gables that had blossoming flowers. The archetypal pattern of this garden recalls the Garden of Eden (Davis 6) as described in Genesis, out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of good and evil..and a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden.. (Gen. 2:9 10). In the midst of the pool was a shrub, set in a marble vase, that bore a profusion of purple blossoms (Hawthorne 47). This poisonous flowering shrub which is a perverted flower of Eden bore a likeness to one particular variety of flowers which bore a vivid scarlet blossom (Hawthorne 2) in the Pyncheon garden. Fa Mu Lan No Name Woman The No Name Woman is a failure in Chinese society, but starkly contrasted by the success and fulfillment of traditional expectations demonstrated in the woman warrior, Fa Mu Lan. In the second section of Kingston s account, White Tiger, the author controversially develops her own retelling of this famous myth with herself as the legendary Chinese figure. Kingston initiates this section stating, when we Chinese girls listened to the adults talk story, we learned that we failed if we grew up to be but wives or slaves (Kingston 19). The words of her elders engrained in Kingston and her female peers their place of women, enslaved to their husbands and bound to housework. Yet Kingston does not accept this reality and instead plunges into a powerful tale of a female who not only overcomes gender roles but is the champion of the entire Chinese nation. Fa Mu Lan is a swordswoman, who utilizes her physical and magical training to cause social justice. Despite her occupations with valor and justice, however, Kingston s character also finds time to nurture a child and attend the domestic duties traditionally assigned to women, a challenge to ancient stereotypes and an affirmation of modern ideas of women balancing families with their careers. Similarly, the weapons Kingston yields are her words and the truth of her experience she artfully relates. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If you look at Cisco and 3com, they show you how much potential the market has and how much ProCurve has of that market. ProCurve should stand on its own to be able to better monitor and to give the person responsible for it his full focus. The pros of being a stand alone are: full focus from the management on ProCurve products, separate sales team, marketing team, R amp;D, etc., more entrepreneurial sprit. The Cons are that HP would compare it to all the other larger departments and if it didn t perform as high as they did, they might sell it like they previously were planning to do. The pros of being under TSG is that ProCurve will not be compared to other departments, but rather the whole TSG will be, this will show more revenue from that department and if ProCurve didn t perform as well, it can be covered by other revenues. Caroline Leavitt. My story starts in the year 2017 when I decided to follow up on my dream and go to a far away land, called the United States of America. My journey is full of new surprises and discoveries of a world so different from the one I am leaving behind, with its own beliefs and culture. This is the story of an eighteen year boy and his first encounter with a new society, his first time away from home and family. It was not an easy decision moving to a different country, leaving behind everything and everybody, but I had the anxiety of traveling and seeing this new world that I had seen only in the movies, the land of Christopher Columbus, where Indians and African Americans lived unified on a vast territory. I still remember the feeling when my parents said that we are moving to America. It was the time when I felt everything around the world had been stopped, and I did not know what I should do next. I was unable to decide whether life was making me move forward or it would cause me to face more trouble than achievement. I was amazed by looking at the Diversity of people. I knew that there were drastic changes which would be arising in my life which I seemed that it was hard to digest, but it seemed that the USA absorbs everyone in their colors and culture so was I, in the mélange ... • 33. Estrogen Levels Home All men experience a drop in their levels of testosterone as they age. This usually begins as soon as they are in their early 30 s. And though aging is nothing to fear, this natural diminishing of the hormone causes unwanted side effects that can affect a man s fertility, sexuality, and health. This is because low testosterone levels can lead to estrogen dominance in a man, and a hormone imbalance is created. But to raise the testosterone levels, one must also lower the estrogen levels. Because of this, some men are starting to use a natural anti estrogen product to help them regain their sense of masculinity, so they look and feel younger. Answer: Too much estrogen in a man s body decreases his sperm count and can also cause impotence or difficulty performing sexually. By lowering high levels of estrogen, these negative effects are reversed, so a man s fertility is improved. Question: Will lowering my estrogen help with my acne? Answer: Acne can be caused by an imbalance of hormones in the body, so by correcting this imbalance, many men will find that their skin becomes clearer. However, initially there might be an increase in acne until the hormones level out. Keeping the skin clean and free from oil and dirt will also help to reduce blemishes though. ... This is an insight into if social media, more specifically social networking sites, can be regulated to avoid recent spates of trolling or whether it only serves to strip people of freedom to speech. Trolling has taken on many forms in social media and with so many platforms to choose from, anyone with intent can use this to their advantage. Twitter accounts have been used to make threats and harass celebrities, Joe McElderry being one of many victims. Ennis McBride, with the sole intent of stalking Joe, made an anonymous twitter account to continue his harassment. I think this book and the type of critical thinking it both employes and inspires is necessary to the study of law and society, but it is certainly not the last book that needs to be written on the subject. Rosenberg condenses three constraints he sees on judicial efficacy that are built into the American legal system: the limited nature of constitutional rights, the lack of judicial independence, and the judiciary s limited enforcement powers (Rosenberg 2008, pg. 35). Following these two major cases and their impact, Rosenberg looks briefly at several other Court decisions involving women s rights, the environment, and criminal rights. In all of these, he finds that his middle of the road view seems to best explain the impact of the Court s decisions (Rosenberg 2008, pg. 420). He also argues that in these areas, especially women s rights and environmental issues, that the reliance on the courts as opposed to political activism may have actually harmed these causes. In Rosenberg s view these constraints are seldom overcome, and thus courts are generally ineffective in producing major social change, but he allows for the possibility that these constraints may be overcome under some conditions. The constraints are overcome when there is ample legal precedent for change, when there is support for legal change from substantial amount of the political and private elite, when there is either strong support or weak opposition from the public, and when certain conditions otherwise support compliance with the judicial ...
